The First DayView OnlineThe Rumble in ponyville!The First Day"Rumble, get out of the house! we're moving to ponyville, remember?" Thunderlane said to Rumble who was hiding under the couch, sobbing. "I d-don't wanna leave!" Rumble said from under the couch."I wanna s-stay in C-Cloudsdale! Thunderlane sighed as he picked up Rumble out from under the couch, "Rumble, I want to stay here also, but mom and dad don't have enough money for all of us to live here, so we have to move and get a cheaper house in ponyville," Rumble started sobbing into his brother's coat"b-but.... I d-don't w-wanna move!" Thunderlane hugged his brother and shed a few tears to. "Rumble... I'm sorry, but we have to go now," "Hey! Hurry it up in there!" the pony driving the moving truck said. "I got 5 more stops to do so put that couch in the truck and get in NOW!" Thunderlane carried Rumble and the couch to the moving truck and set the couch in the back of the truck, then set down Rumble beside him while Rumble kept crying into his brothers coat. "Rumble, there is mom and dad! Say goodbye to them quick, we won't see them for a long while!" After Thunderlane said that, it just brought more tears from Rumble as he murmured goodbye to them. After about 6 hours they finally got to ponyville, and Rumble stopped sobbing after he saw the town "wow..." Rumble said quietly as he saw the town. There was a library, a bakery, a school, a town hall, a... bouquet? Rumble was so excited to see the town. Thunderlane also looked in awe at the town, that he didn't even notice the truck landing "HEY!" The pony driving the truck yelled. "GET YOUR STUFF OFF AND GET OUT!" His voice echoed throughout ponyville causing a lot of ponies to look their way, but after about 2 seconds they all went back to their business. After that Rumble helped Thunderlane get out all of the things from their old house to their new one. "Thunderlane? why did we move to a house on the ground not the sky? "Because we didn't have enough to buy a house in the sky. Besides, you can get to school faster now." Answered Thunderlane. Rumble thought for a moment then started to grin. "Or it is because your afraid of heights!" Rumble snickered. "I'm afraid of heights?" Thunderlane chuckled. "Okay, then you wouldn't mind if we go into sky would you?" Before Rumble could answer Thunderlane grabbed him and flew up extremely high. "AHHHHH!" Rumble cried into his brother's coat "Okay! Okay! I'm afraid of heights!" Thunderlane then flew down to their porch. "That's what I thought Rumble!" Thunderlane announced as Rumble started to blush madly. "Okay, now that that's over, let's look around town! I hear there is a bakery somewhere that makes delicious deserts! After searching through many streets looking for the bakery, they came across a place called Sugar Cube Corner. Once they walked in they went up to the counter to see a pink pony with a jumpy mane looking at all the sweets behind her in the cabinets. "uh... hello? are you the person wh-" Thunderlane was immediately interrupted when the pink pony saw him and Rumble and made an extremely loud gasp, then flew out of the shop immediately. "What the?" Rumble wasn't sure what just happened. "Thunderlane I think they are on break. let's go somewhere else. Maybe the library?" Thunderlane agreed then they both walked out the door, searching for the library. After searching they found a tree with a sign that had the picture of a book on it. "I think this is the library, Rumble," Thunderlane said to his brother as he knocked on the door to be greeted by a lavender unicorn. "Hello! I'm Twilight sparkle." The unicorn said to Thunderlane. "Who are you guys and what do you want?" "Hello, I'm Thunderlane and this is my brother Rumble. We came here because... I don't know. Rumble told me to come here for some reason." Twilight and Thunderlane both looked at Rumble. "Rumble? why did you want to come here?" "I... uh... wanted to see if you had any maps of... ponyville. Me and Thunderlane are... uh.... new to this town and we can't find anything easily..." Rumble mumbled shyly. "Oh!" Twilight exclaimed. "I have a map right in here! I'll be right back!" she then closed the door and came back a minute later carrying a map. "Here you go!" She handed Rumble the map. "Anything else?" "... um...No, I don't think so," Rumble answered "Thanks..." Then he and Thunderlane walked back to their house, noticing the town was very vacant. "Huh? where is everypony? I saw a ton of them before we went to Sugar Cube Corner!" Rumble exclaimed. "Relax, they must be home already. It is getting dark so they must be in bed." Thunderlane said. They entered the house to find the lights off. "Huh? I don't remember turning the lights off when we left. Now where is the light switch?" Thunderlane asked. Right after he said that, the lights turned on and about 100 ponies jumped out of nowhere screaming "SURPRISE!" and almost giving Thunderlane and Rumble heart attacks, and then they both screamed. "WHAT THE HAY?!" Rumble and Thunderlane yelled. After that music started playing and everypony started dancing, then the pink pony they saw earlier at Sugar Cube Corner bounce up to them. "Hi there! I'm Pinkie Pie and I set up this party for you guys because I've never seen you guys before and I know that because whenever I meet someone I memorize their face and I didn't remember you guys so you guys must be new so this is a welcome party to celebrate you guys moving to ponyville!" said Pinkie Pie, surprisingly with only one breath. "Anyway, what are your names?" Both pegasi had gaping jaws at how fast Pinkie Pie said all of that. After a few moments Thunderlane answered her. "... I'm Thunderlane... and this is Rumble... and yes... we are new here..." "well then I gotta show you everypony in ponyville!" Pinkie Pie said as she bounced over to a pegasus with a blue coat and a rainbow mane talking to a orange filly with a magenta mane. "This is Rainbow Dash! You can call her RD, for short, And this is Scootaloo. she looks up to Rainbow Dash." At the mention of their names Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo looked at both of the pegasi and Pinkie Pie "Sup?" Rainbow Dash said to Thunderlane. "Not alot, you?" Thunderlane asked. "Nothing much. So what's your name?" Rainbow Dash asked "Mine is Rainbow Dash." "Thunderlane. This is my brother Rumble." Rumble shyly waved his hoof at the other pegasi."uh... hi." He said quietly "He's shy around other ponies." Thunderlane said. Scootaloo then spoke up "I know alot of ponies that are sh-" She stopped when she saw his flank. "You don't have a cutiemark either!" She started to get a grin then yelled. "APPLEBLOOM! SWEETIEBELL! GET OVER HERE!" A few seconds after she said those 2 ponies names they came over to the group. "Wha' in tarnation do ya' want scootaloo?" Applebloom asked scootaloo as Rumble started to sink where he was standing. "Yeah, why did you call us over scootaloo?" Sweetiebell said in her high-pitched voice as Rumble sank even more. "The new guy in town, Rumble, is a blank flank also!" Scootaloo answered "Really?!" both Sweetiebell and Applebloom asked as they looked towards Rumble. "uh... i.. don't have a... cutiemark..." Rumble trailed off after noticing all 3 pairs of eyes watching him he sunk even lower "He looks shy..." Sweetiebell said then all 3 fillies looked at each other and while they weren't looking he galloped as fast as he could upstairs to his room, but before he could get into his room a Pegasus with a black mane caught his tail. "Rumble! what are you doing?" Then behind Thunderlane he heard hoofs - 3 sets of them - walk up the stairs. "I... I stressed out from all of those ponies watching me! You know how shy I get around other ponies!" "Then ya shouldn't be shy when we were aroun' ya! we aren't ponies, we are fillies," Rumble heard the cowboy accent from the stairs and he turned pale, though you couldn't see it from his gray coat "uh... hi?" Rumble gulped as the 3 fillies came into the hallway "wow! I never saw a colt gallop that fast!" scootaloo said. "um... thanks?" Rumble now started to blush madly as all 4 sets of eyes were watching him "Rumble, we didn't want to make you shy, we just wanted to ask you something." Sweetiebell said in her high-pitched voice. Rumble immediately got curious. "what did you want to ask me?" All 3 of the fillies looked at each other and said, "We want you to be a Cutie Mark Crusader!" "a what?" Rumble asked. "a Cutie Mark Crusader is a filly or colt that doesn't have a cutiemark and we go on adventures to try and get our cutiemarks! We usually do our planing in our cutiemark crusader clubhouse, but we sometimes do it at other places like school." Thunderlane turned pale. "Oh crap! Rumble! we forgot to get you into school today!" Rumble turned paler, even though you still can't notice. "Oh Pegasus feathers!" "Relax Rumble! You can get in on any day." Scootaloo said. "That's the LEAST of my problems scootaloo! I know you can get in on any day, but it reminded me that in every school, if you don't show up on the first day, you have to go up in front of the class and tell them about you!" Rumble started stressing out, breathing heavily. "I'm gonna either one, pass out in front of the class, two, start crying or three, mumble the whole thing and get laughed at!" "Rumble, ya are just being ridiculous now!" Applebloom said. "Yeah... I won't pass out, but I'll probably start crying or mumble the whole thing!" He exclaimed starting to sob into his forelegs. "Don't worry Rumble, i'm sure you'll do great tomorrow! Also you never answered our question. So will you be a Cutie Mark Crusader?" Sweetiebell asked. After a few moments Rumble calmly said his answer. "Yes." "YAY!" All 3 of the fillies yelled. After that they started chatting about what they would do tomorrow after school, And once they made an agreement that they would go swimming tomorrow trying to earn a swimming cutiemark, Rumble gulped but agreed. After that they just danced and ate and chatted for the rest of the party. When Rumble crawled into bed at night he knew he made a stupid choice of going swimming tomorrow because of one reason. Rumble can't swim.
The second dayView OnlineThe Rumble in ponyville!The second dayRumble woke up in the morning after the crazy welcoming party Pinkie Pie had for him and his brother, Thunderlane. Rumble then went to the bathroom and took a quick shower before going downstairs to get some breakfast. He wasn't very hungry so he ate a couple of hay fries then packed his saddlebag with school supplies as he waited for his brother to fly to school with him so Thunderlane could sign all of the papers to allow Rumble to go to school. After about 30 minutes his brother came downstairs. "Ready to go, Rumble?" Thunderlane stretched his wings. "Yeah," Rumble nodded "Let's go!" "K" Thunderlane said as he walked out the door with Rumble right behind him as they started to fly towards the school. Once they got near the school and landed in front of the door Rumble could hear ponies talking about him "Who's the new kid?" "That kid is Rumble I think, But who is that Pegasus beside him?" "Duh! That must be his guardian." Rumble couldn't hear anything else because everyone was outside but he and Thunderlane were now the only ones inside the building except for the only teacher in the school, Cheerilee. "Hello there. What can i do for you?" Cheerilee asked. "I'm here to register my brother, Rumble, in this school. Also, he is shy around other ponies so can you try and keep him in a 1 pony group at most often?" Thunderlane asked her. "Ok, I'll try to Mr.... what's you name?" Cheerilee asked "Thunderlane." "Ok, I'll try to Mr. Thunderlane. Just sign these papers confirming that you are Rumble's guardian and he can be in this school, ok?" Cheerilee explained "K" Thunderlane said as he grabbed a pencil sticking out of Rumble's saddlebag and began signing in the forms. "There!" Thunderlane put the pencil back in Rumble's saddlebag and handed Cheerilee the forms. "Ok, have a nice day Mr. Thunderlane!" she said as he flew away "Ok, Rumble, i'm gonna put down some rules and what you need to do each day." Cheerilee then gave him the school manners lecture. Right when she finished the bell rung and everypony went to their seats and began to chat to ponies beside them, except for Rumble. "Ok everypony, settle down, we have an important announcement today! we have a new student! Rumble, come up here and tell us about yourself. anything you want to tell us about you, like what you like or something like that." Cheerilee announced happily. Rumble gulped and trotted to the front of the room. He took a deep breath and began with the usual beginning. "um... Hi, my name is Rumble, and um... I like the c-color g-gold... h-hay fries and c-chocolate. I look up t-to the w-w-wonderbolts and my brother and... and a-all great f-flyers... and my d-dream is to be a f-f-famous flyer like the w-w-wonderbolts." Rumble mumbled then ended his speech slowly and trotted back to his seat. While he was sitting down he could hear a filly from behind him and turned around to see 2 snotty rich kids talking about him. "Great," the filly with a tiara said. "Silver Spoon, look! Another blankflank!" "Like, why won't they just, like, get a cutiemark already and stop being, like, so not special Diamond Tiara?" The other one, who I assume was Silver Spoon said in her snotty voice. "Ya, I mean, like, they are so uselesssss." The one with the Tiara said, who i also assumed was Diamond Tiara. "And w-what is the p-p-problem with blank f-flanks?" Rumble asked. Both of them looked at him as if he was an alien, then Silver Spoon spoke up. "Blankflanks are just, like, not special!" She said in a louder tone in witch made the whole class look at her, including the teacher. "Young lady!" Cheerilee said in a stern tone. "You don't say 'blankflank' in school! And you don't call someone not special! I'll see you after the last bell, Silver Spoon also, come in at recess." Cheerilee commanded as Silver Spoon sunk in her seat blushing. "Yes, Cheerilee..." Silver Spoon sighed, then Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon both gave him glares that said you are dead. "Now that that's over, let's continue on..." Cheerilee said then trailed onto asking some social studies questions. When she finished the bell rung for recess and every pony ran outside. Rumble was one of the last ones out so their wasn't anything outside to play with so he just wandered around. Then he heard someone call his name. "Rumble!" He then turned around to see Scootaloo coming towards him. "Oh, hi there. what d-do you want?" Rumble asked. "I wanted to ask you if you want to play catch with us. Do you?" Scootaloo questioned "Oh... um, ok." Rumble answered as he followed Scootaloo to the other crusaders When they saw him Applebloom talked first while holding a ball. "Howdy, Rumble! What brings ya' 'round here?" She said in her cowgirl accent "um... Scootaloo asked me t-to play c-catch." Rumble said shyly. "Wow! Your as shy as this one Pegasus named Fluttershy!" Sweetiebell noted. "Anyway, let's play!" "Ok!" Applebloom yelled as she threw it to Sweetiebell, who threw it to Scootaloo, who threw it to Rumble, who threw it to Applebloom, then the cycle repeated. Right when Scootaloo threw it to Rumble it went about 30 feet in the air and 15 feet away after about 3 seconds, and Rumble was afraid it would hit someone so he flew up and got the ball in half a second and stayed in the air for a moment, then flew back down to be greeted with almost the whole class staring in awe at how fast he just flew until Scootaloo broke the silence. "That... was... AWESOME! Rainbow Dash would even be proud!" She yelled. right after that everypony started crowding around Rumble asking him questions. "How can you fly that fast?" "You gotta teach me how you did that so fast!" "He was so awesome!" He heard Scootaloo yell that one. After everypony crowded him he started to sink in his place. Scootaloo noticed and tried to break up the crowd. "Everypony! Everypony! Rumble needs his space! He can just fly fast, it isn't like he is a wonderbolt or anything!" She continued trying to break up the crowd but they wouldn't go away, so Rumble flew up about 5 feet from the ground and landed away from the crowd, and they were confused on where he went until one of his classmates spotted him behind them all. "Guys! There he is!" The pony said as Rumble's pupils turned so small you couldn't see them. After everypony heard that they ran to Rumble as he ran around the playground, then he started flying around it. Then he stopped in the air catching his breath, but he made a huge mistake. He wasn't the ONLY pegasus who could fly. Right before he realized that a tan skinny colt flew into him knocking him down into the crowd of ponies. When he fell down he felt some ponies catch him and after about 10 minutes of questions being asked the crowd finally disbanded leaving Rumble breathing heavily on the ground from all of those ponies asking him questions. While he was on the ground 3 fillies came up to him and he stood up, his pupils slowly coming back to the regular size. "Rumble, that was crazy! I'm surprised your still in one piece!" Sweetiebell exclaimed. All Rumble could do was nod and try to get his voice back but all that came out was some unheard mumbling. "Anyway, Thanks for savin' ma ball, Rumble. Let's continue playin' catch!" Applebloom suggested. After a few moments Rumble got his voice back "Ok..." After a few minutes of playing catch, a pink hoof slaps the ball and it hits Rumble. "Hey!" He yelled, then he sees Diamond Tiara with a smug grin as she walks up to him and shoves him 10 feet and he hits a tree. "ow..." Rumble moans. "That was because you made Silver Spoon stay in for recess," she said and she was about to buck him with strong earth pony strength "And this is for getting her detention!" Right when she was about to buck him with her hind legs, a huge hoof came up from behind Diamond Tiara and pulled her away, and she gasped at who just pulled her away. "WHO ARE YOU!?" The filly exclaimed as Rumble grinned as he saw who grabbed her. "I'm Rumble's brother." Thunderlane answered. "I heard him yell and then I saw you attacking him. I bet your teacher won't be happy about this." He said in a stern voice as a crowd appeared again 'wow,' Rumble thought as he grinned. 'These ponies do love crowds alot' Just then Cheerilee came outside to see the crowd and saw Thunderlane in the crowd. "What is going on here?" She asked the black coated pegasus. "Cheerilee, I was just in the sky when I heard Rumble yell, and when I came to source of the noise I saw this little filly shove him into that tree, and she was about to buck him with her hind legs, so I grabbed her and then it has played into right now." Thunderlane explained. Cheerilee gritted her teeth. "Is this true Diamond Tiara?" Cheerilee asked through her teeth as Diamond Tiara's face started to blush from the embarrassment she was now in. "...Yes... it is true..." Diamond Tiara sighed. "Young lady, you just earned yourself a 1 month detention!" Cheerilee said. "The next time you do something like this i'm telling your parents!" Diamond Tiara gasped at this and shook her head. "Ok, I think this has been enough for one recess." At that same moment the bell rung to announce that recess was over. "Everypony, back into the classroom! Except you Rumble. I need to speak to you for a moment." Rumble just sat at the tree and nodded as everyone else went inside. After everyone was inside it just left Rumble, Cheerilee, and Thunderlane. "Rumble, i'm going to ask you a few questions. First, do you know why Diamond Tiara attacked you?" Cheerilee asked. "I-it was b-because she s-said I g-got Silver S-spoon in t-trouble." Rumble answered in his shy voice. Thunderlane looked confused but kept quiet. "Ok. Second, do you feel anything broken?" Rumble thought for a few moments "...n-no. I d-don't." "Ok, that is good. Now this is my third and final question. Did you attack her after she attacked you?" "N-n-no, I w-was in t-to much pain to r-re-retaliate." Rumble answered. "Ok. That is enough. Time for class now. Come on." Cheerilee finished. "O-ok. Bye T-Thunderlane!" Rumble said before he and Cheerilee walked into the school and he took his seat. "Ok now that that's over, let's move onto math..." Cheerilee said as she started teaching everyone about multiplying and dividing numbers. When Cheerilee finished the last bell rung and everypony ran outside, except for Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, who had detention. As Rumble ran outside he searched the crowd for Thunderlane, and found the pegasus waiting behind all of the parents and guardians. "Hey Thunderlane!" After hearing his name he saw Rumble. "Hey there kid! When we get home you gotta tell me all that happened today." Thunderlane said to Rumble. "Ok!" Rumble agreed. After a few minutes of flying they got to their new house and Thunderlane slumped onto the couch as Rumble sat next to him, telling him detail by detail on what happened that day at school. "Blankflank?" Thunderlane asked. "I haven't heard that word since I was your age!" "Yeah," Rumble said. "They can be pretty mean sometimes." Then Rumble remembered something. "Thunderlane! I just remembered i have to be somewhere right now!" "Ok kid. Just don't be long." Thunderlane said as Rumble ran out the door. It was around 4:00 and the crusaders planned to be at the Ponyville lake by 4:05, so Rumble flew as fast as he could to the lake, landing in front of the lake, Waiting for the other crusaders to arrive. After a few minutes he saw them coming and they saw him. "Hi Rumble!" Scootaloo said. "Hi." Rumble gulped, getting less shy around the 3 fillies. "I have a confession to ma-" He was then interrupted by a pink pony with a tiara on and a gray pony with glasses, still giving Rumble glares of death. "Well if it isn't the cutie mark crusaders. Oh! And who is with them?" Diamond Tiara said in her snotty voice. "Is it that new pegasus in class who embarrassed me and SS? I think we should teach him a lesson!" Diamond Tiara got a evil grin as she and Silver Spoon trotted towards Rumble, but before they got near him Scootaloo, Sweetiebell, and Applebloom got between them. "Hey!" Scootaloo said. "Their will be no fighting! You both know Rumble is better then you both!" Diamond Tiara got a smug look. "Then, like, what is he better at then us?" She asked Scootaloo. "Like, um..." She thought for a little bit then came up with an idea. "Swimming!" After hearing this Rumble's pupils shrunk. "Swimming?" Diamond Tiara snickered. "It happens to be that I'm one of the top, like, 50 swimmers of equastria! But, if you guys are soooo confident, why don't we have a swimming race?" "Fine! I guess we will have you versus Rumble!" Scootaloo said. "Fine!" Diamond Tiara agreed. "Tomorrow at this time, this place! Loser has to say their darkest secret!" She ended then trotted away with a snickering Silver Spoon beside her. After they left Rumble started breathing heavily confusing the 3 fillies. "Rumble, what's wrong?" Scootaloo asked. Rumble almost passed out. "I'm gonna lose this race..." He put his hoofs to his temples. "No you won't! Your gonna kick her flank!" Sweetiebell tried to help him. "Yea! Your gonna send 'em into the next zap apple season!" Applebloom also tried to help. "No..." Rumble started to blush at what he was about to say. "T-the reason I-I'll l-lose is because..." He sighed. "I can't swim..." He then looked down at the ground as the 3 fillies jaws dropped, but Scootaloo looked terrified. "You. Can't. WHAT!?" Scootaloo yelled. "I WAS MAKING A BET WITH DIAMOND TIARA, AND THEN YOU TELL ME YOU CAN'T SWIM!? THIS CAN NOT HAPPEN!" Scootaloo then started to calm down and she sighed. "Rumble... I'm sorry for yelling it's just that... if you lose this race it will embarrass us all because it would give them another reason on why blankflanks are useless." Scootaloo said, then grinned. "Rumble! I just had an idea! We can teach you to swim!" Rumble thought about it, then he grinned and gave his answer. "Ok." Scootaloo grinned then they all shoved him into the lake "First lesson. learn how to Donkey-paddle." Scootaloo said. Rumble tried flailing his arms to keep above water, but he sunk and couldn't swim up. Scootaloo then dived in and brought him up, then he started coughing out water. "...This might take awhile." scootaloo said.
The third dayView OnlineThe Rumble in ponyville!The third dayRumble woke up that morning with his whole body aching from last night when he learned how to swim. While he was learning how to swim he learned a new move that only he could use, and it would give him intense speed, 60 miles-an-hour! Sadly, it only lasts about 10 seconds, But Rumble knew it would help him in the race. He did his normal routine, took a shower, ate some hay fries and a daisy sandwich, packed his saddlebag and waited for Thunderlane to get up. After 30 minutes Rumble heard some hoofs come down the stairs and walk into the living room. "Rumble? Ready to go?" Thunderlane asked as he walked into the living room. "Yeah." Rumble answered. "Let's go now." "K" Thunderlane agreed as he flew with Rumble to the school and they landed in front of it. "Now try not to get beat up again. Good luck at the race!" Thunderlane snickered as he flew away. Rumble trotted into the classroom as school started, and he saw Diamond Tiara tell Cheerilee something, then she glared at him with an evil grin, followed by another glare from Silver Spoon as they took their seats. Once everypony was seated Cheerilee announced the news that she just heard, witch nopony else knew of except for Rumble, The Cutie Mark Crusaders, Diamond Tiara, and Silver spoon. "Everypony, Diamond Tiara just told me to announce that after school today at 4:00, Diamond Tiara and Rumble are going to have a race at the Ponyville lake." She explained as ponies started cheering and Rumble sunk in his seat. 'Great,' Rumble thought. 'More people to see me fail. Rumble sighed. Then he felt a hoof tap his shoulder and he turned to see his worst enemy, Diamond Tiara. "Ready to, like, fail on our race?" She gloated. "There is no way you can beat me! Daddy hired, like, 10 professional swimmers to teach me!" She snickered. Rumble just ignored her as he started to get annoyed, luckily Cheerilee started the lesson so she had to shut up. After what seemed like minutes, School was over and all the fillies and colts ran outside to find their parent or guardian, but this time only Diamond Tiara stayed inside, not Silver Spoon. He then found Thunderlane at the back of the group of ponies again. "Ready to go, Rumble?" Thunderlane asked as Rumble gulped and nodded his head. "K, let's go then." Thunderlane said as he began to fly to the lake with Rumble behind him. After about a minute they got to the lake where a crowd started to appear. "H-how did t-these many p-p-ponies get h-here?" Rumble asked horrified, as his brother answered. "I told them!" His brother grinned as if it were a good thing. "Now when you win more ponies will cheer for you!" "And w-what happens i-if i l-lose? Remember the b-bet?" Rumble then whispered. "I d-don't want all t-these p-ponies k-knowing I-i'm afraid of h-heights." Thunderlane then took that into consideration, realizing his mistake "Oh... then I guess you gotta win this." Thunderlane said to him. After he heard that Rumble gulped then waited 30 minutes for Diamond Tiara to arrive to start their race. Now almost everypony in Ponyville was gathered around the lake, betting on who would win. "Ready to race, blankflank?" She didn't even need an answer as she yelled "THREE!" Then Rumble yelled as best as he could. "Two!" Then they both yelled. "ONE!" Then every single pony there yelled. "GOOO!" And they were off swimming into the cold lakes water as Diamond Tiara took the lead by jumping farther into the lake. After a few moments Rumble caught up to her and passed her, only to be behind her as she took full speed. Rumble then started using his wings to propel him alongside Diamond Tiara as they both reached the halfway point. Diamond Tiara growled at him, now knowing his special trick and started swimming faster and faster until she got in front of him by 3 feet. Now 5 feet. Now 9. Rumble then realized she was almost at the finish line, and he started to get angry for the first time in years. "no..." he said quietly, anger burning up "I won't have this bully embarrass me like this... I won't have this bully win..." His anger now extremely high as his eyes turned red as he yelled. "I. WON'T. LOSE!!!" Then after he yelled that his anger powered him to swim faster then 700 miles-an-hour, passing a surprised Diamond Tiara and a huge shocked crowd as they all just stared at him, going faster then ever. 800 miles-an-hour. 900 miles-an-hour. a black and white cone appeared around him as he passed the finish line but couldn't stop swimming. 1000 miles-an-hour. No matter how many ponies yelled at him to stop swimming, he couldn't hear them, except for Scootaloo who yelled at the top of her lungs. "WHAT THE? I'VE ONLY SEEN ONE PONY WITH THAT TYPE OF CONE BEFORE! HE IS GONNA BREAK THE SOUND BARR-" But she was interrupted from a huge black, grey, and white explosion around Rumble as the explosion changed the water in the lake to black and white for a few seconds. Then Rumble opened his eyes to see that he broke the sound barrier, and he started slowing down but he couldn't see anypony, so he flew down the way he swam in to be greeted with all of Ponyville looking at him, mouths hanging staring in awe with a jealous pink pony with a tiara. After a few moments all of Ponyville cheered for him, with a few groans as some of the ponies gave bits back and forth between ponies, then right after all of the ponies started cheering for him, Scootaloo ran up to him, Yelled." I love you!" then kissed him full on, leaving the crowd shocked. But no one was more shocked then Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Applebloom, Sweetiebell, Thunderlane, and the most shocked of them all, Rumble. After a few moments Rumble wasn't shocked anymore as he whispered into Scootaloo's ear. "I love you to." Then he kissed her full on, which led to everypony else looking shocked as Scootaloo and Rumble blushed but grinned. Then the crowd ran up to both of them and threw them into the air, chanting their names. "Rumble! Scootaloo! Rumble! Scootaloo!" everypony cheered except for Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. After about 5 minutes the crowd stopped chanting and set them down, then the Rumble walked over to Diamond Tiara. "Looks like somepony lost a bet!" Rumble said, no longer shy. "Now you gotta tell us your darkest secret." "What?" Diamond Tiara asked. "No I don't!" When she said that the rest of the Cutie Mark Crusaders walked over "Uh, yeah, you kinda do. Now, I remember you saying yesterday, Loser Has to say their darkest secret." Rumble smirked. Diamond Tiara sighed. "Alright... I'm... maybe... kinda... a little bit... jealous of you... blank...flanks" She cringed as she said it and started to blush as Rumble and the Cutie Mark Crusaders all laughed at her, then Scootaloo saw something flash behind Rumble and then exclaimed with a grin. "Rumble! You got your cutiemark!" She yelled. "I what?" Rumble asked then turned around to see a black and white pony swimming in a grey lake, and he grinned and started cheering. "I got my cutiemark! I got my cutiemark!" He kept yelling. Then when he stopped yelling, Scootaloo grabbed him and kissed him again. Then Rumble started to think. 'This is the best day ever!'
