A Derpy Hooves Story

==1 Week Later==

Derpy opened her eyes. She was shocked, she thought the fall would kill her. She thought, Why am I not dead? I fell off the highest cloud in the sky. It was only then she realized that the clouds hadn't been particularly high that day.

She then thought however, There is a reason I'm still alive. I wouldn't be here if there wasn't something to live here for.

Just then the door opened, a nurse and a small foal walked in. Derpy immediately realized who it was. "Dinky?", Derpy asked.

Dinky just ran up and hugged her mom. The nurse had to pull Dinky off of her mother. The nurse then revealed bad news.

The Nurse said,

"I'm sorry Mrs. Hooves but unfortunately we are letting you from the hospital."

Derpy had a shocked look on her face.

She then said, "Why? Am I really that much of an outcast, that not even the hospital is willing to save me?"

The nurse stuttered. "I--i--i W-ee--lllll--lll...."

Derpy snapped, yelling, "TELL THE TRUTH!!!!"

The nurse asked Dinky who was now crying to leave the room, The nurse had to call security to escort Dinky out of the room.

The nurse stated, "Its not my say, I want you to stay and receive medical care." She then continued, and said with tears in her eyes, "The hospital said they just don't see the point in saving a pony who obviously is worthless."

Derpy's eyes immediately filled up with tears. She stated weakly, "I see... how long?"

The nurse looked confused. She then realized Derpy meant how long until she was gone for good.

The nurse reluctantly stated, "2 days." Derpy let out a sigh, and closed her eyes. She said, "just get it over with."

The nurse had a team come in and they let Derpy out of the hospital.

Derpy told Dinky all about it.

==2 Days Later==

Derpy was on the verge of death, she said to Dinky in what she knew was going to be her final words:

"Be strong, Dinky. I'll always love you." Her eyes then closed.

==3 weeks later==

Derpy wakes up to her complete shock. She was inside of what looked like a tree house.

She looked over and saw a lavender unicorn.

The unicorn suddenly jumped as if she knew Derpy was looking at her.

She turned around seeing Derpy and said,

"Oh, you're awake, that's terrific, I had heard your daughter crying, so I went in and saw that you had passed, but I thought there was still a chance to save you, also I can't believe that the hospital would do such a terrible thing, I simply cannot understand why they would call somepony like you worthless, because personally, I think your eyes mean your special, not worthless, and that's why I have brought you here.", the lavender unicorn said, finally finishing her long statement.

Derpy, blinked and thought, Nopony has ever said my eyes were this way cause I'm special other than my daughter Dinky.

The lavender unicorn then stated her name saying, "I am Twilight Sparkle, the number 1 student of the Princess of the Sun, Princess Celestia."

Derpy was in shock, she thought Why would anypony want to save a worthless pony like me, especially a pony who is the star pupil of the ruler of Equestria. She felt happiness in the fact a pony like this would care for her.

Derpy then said:

"Twilight Sparkle is your name?"

Twilight replied saying yes.

"Wow. You have a... beautiful name Twilight, Derpy said turning her head, blushing.

Twilight chuckled. "Oh that's sweet Derpy, and hey don't worry about the fact I know your name, as your daughter told me your name when I told her that I would try and save you."

Derpy suddenly got a burst of strength, and stood up no problem, which caused Twilight's jaw to drop in total shock.

Twilight then said, "I need to run some tests on you Derpy, is that ok?"

"I don't mind at all Twilight", Derpy replied.

Twilight smiled. "Great", she said.

It was a process of about 3 hours but Twilight when she was done that Derpy had miraculously made a nearly instant recovery.

It was then Derpy began to turn a bright shade of red thinking to herself I feel strange being around this pony, similar to the feeling to when im around Dinky.

Derpy said, Do you have any good books? (forgetting that they were in a giant treehouse library.)

Twilight simply pointed around the entire room.

Derpy looked in awe. She was a huge bookworm.

"I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BOOKS!",Derpy said, not realizing she said this out loud, because she intended it to be in her thoughts was suprised when twilight replied. "You love books?

Derpy looked at twilight and blushed realizing she had said her last statement out loud, pretty much yelling it.

"Yeah, do you?", asked Derpy.

Twilight pulled a random book off one of her shelves and brought in front of her to begin reading it.

She was interrupted when Derpy asked, "Hey Twilight, can I read with you", while blushing slightly to the point Twilight didn't notice it this time.

Twilight smiled and said, "Of course Derpy."
