Chapters Chapter 1
“Saved by a Traitor”
[Spike's Point of View…]
I wake up to the smell of breakfast. I look to a nearby clock and I read, “10:25 PM”. I hesitate to get out of my bed and walk into the kitchen. I see Twilight eating some pancakes while reading a book a thin book. She soon glances towards my direction, sets down her book and greets me as usual.
“Good Morning Spike!”
“Good Morning, Twilight,” I reply with a slurred tone.
My slurred reply did not go unnoticed by the purple alicorn.
“Are you okay?” she asked with concern.
“Nah. Don't worry. I'm just sleepy, that's all,” my voice now had a clearer tone and Twilight seemed to have accepted my word. She then resumes reading her book while eating her pancakes.
I help myself to get some of the delicious breakfast too and sit down on the opposite side of Twilight. She sighs and stops reading her book.
“Spike…”
I look up and stop eating my pancakes.
“Yeah?”
Twilight tenses up for a split second before answering.
“About last night…”
I knew where this was going…
“I think you should not fight a dragon your size.”
I groan in frustration. We have talked about this many times but Twilight always insists that hiding would be a better option. Good to know, Twilight still cares about me.
“Twi, we have discussed this lots of times already. I already told you, I will fight.”
“But what if - ”
“Twilight. I said I will fight if I have to.”
“But what if you get hurt? Who will help you?”
“I can help myself Twilight. I can heal my wounds.”
“You can only heal MINOR wounds.”
I was about to reply until I heard several shouts and screaming from outside.
I run to the nearest window and peek outside. What I see, is what I did not expect so soon. I saw not one but five dragons my size and they seemed to be searching for me. I cringe with fear and I yell at Twilight to not come outside.
I step outside the library to confront the five dragons.
[From another dragon's Point of View…]
“General Ignus,” I salute.
“Yes, Razre?”
“If I may ask, why are we here?”
General Ignus hesitates before answering my question.
“We are here to… ah… pick somedragon up.”
“Umm… Who in particular?” I ask timidly.
“A purple and green dragon that is about your size. We are supposed to… ah… escort him to Draconia.”
I knew he was hiding something. So I just replied, “Sir, yes, sir,” to him. I still did not know why we were here. From all of my years in training, the least expected place I would think of being station at would be in a town inhabited by ponies.
The ponies in this town seemed to fear us and I couldn't do anything about it other than just watch them run away in fright from us. I was standing at attention and so were the other three dragon fighters until the General commanded.
“Fighters Keosni, Jettex and Haywyre! Front and center!” ordered General Ignus.
The three, still in training dragons, stepped forward. The General whispered to them but I still overheard what they were saying.
“Now I want you fighters to get that dragon and kill him immediately,” commanded General Ignus in a menacing tone.
I couldn't believe it! They were going to execute a dragon for no reason!
“Wait!” said Keosni while holding up a claw in the air. “Why don't you let Razre do it? He's really good with fire and he can - ”
“No,” replied the General harshly. “He won't follow my orders. He doesn't execute anything without a reason and so, that is why I putting my trust over you three.”
The General was right. I won't slay anything without a reason. I soon came to the conclusion that I shouldn't let the General execute this dragon immediately. I came up with a plan that would help me and the dragon that was about to be executed, to teleport to a safe place. My thinking was soon disrupted when I heard a nearby door open.
The General, the still in training dragons and me shifted our gazes to the library's door. A purple and green scaled drake was standing there staring right back us with a menacing scowl.
“GET HIM! ” the General roared at the three dragons. The still in training fighters pulled out daggers and tried to get Spike injured but the drake had fast reflexes and dodged easily the inexperienced soldiers. I saw the General summon out his bow and a poisoned arrow with his magic. The toxic arrow was aimed directly at Spike's chest which would leave a dead drake. I reacted fast and tackled Spike to the ground while the deathly arrow barely whizzed past my head.
“Hold on!” I yelled and breathed a red flame that encircled us. It soon closed in on us in less than a second and it teleported us away with a blinding flash.
The General looked around to what happened. He did not see Razre nor the drake he was supposed to execute. They both escaped and General Ignus considered Razre as a traitor to his kind. Rage and frustration soon consumed his emotions.
“ROOAARRRGHHH!” the General roared furiously into the air while emitting cobalt flames as well. “YOU IDIOTIC FOOLS! ” he yelled loudly at the three dragons. He calmed down a little before using his commanding tone. “I can't believe you three are stupid, worthless carcasses that can't even hit a moving target that is as large as you!” he pointed his claw at them before continuing, “…After all of my training that I gave you, your results show that you couldn't even hit anything !?”
The three dragons had their heads low and were now looking at the ground. The General was disappointed at the three and then regretted that he shouldn't have put his trust into them.
“I never should've put my trust into idiots,” he glanced at them and ordered them to follow him. “Let's find Razre and that fast reflexed dragon,” he shouted at his fighters.
“MARCH!”

Chapter 2
“Fireball”
[Spike's Point of View]
I was tumbling down a hill while doing multiple front-flips and then stopping flat on my stomach with only to be met with pain in my jaw from the sudden impact of the ground hitting me.
“YOU!” I roared, “What in Tartarus did you do!?”
The black scaled dragon with red spikes responded in a calm tone. “Don't worry. I won't harm you unless you harm me. I simply saved you from those dragons that tried to kill you.”
I relaxed a bit and asked why did he save me for no reason.
“I saved you because I did not want a dragon executed in front of me and then your carcass thrown into draconic acid. I do not slay without a reason and they seemed to kill you for something I don't know. Whatever is the cause, I decided to save you and give you the benefit of a doubt,” he concluded with a smirk.
I was left dumbstruck for a few seconds before realizing what he did for me.
“Thank you for saving me.”
“T'was nothin',” the dark dragon replied.
I was relieved that this dragon saved me but now we had to escape from those dragons. Now that I looked at him intently, I saw that he was a dragon my size that was probably about an inch shorter than me. His scales were opaque and jet black while his spikes were shiny scarlet. His appearance was that of a muscular dragon and that he was a bit more buff than me. His eyes were golden yellow and slitted.
“Uhh, you okay there?” he asked.
“Huh? Oh… uhh, yeah. It's just that I haven't seen another dragon my size before that didn't try to kill me.”
He chuckled lightly at this and gave me a toothy grin while also exposing his canine fangs.
“Well, there are more dragons out there,” he waved his arm and claw in the air, “and beyond of where we are right now.”
I was left awestruck by that statement. There were other dragons in this world. All I'd have to do is find them…
“Pardon me for asking but what is your name?” the dark scaled dragon asked.
“My name is Spike. What's yours?”
“I'm Razre,” he replied.
“Nice to meet 'ya Razre!” I held out my claw for him to shake and he did.
“We might as well start traveling North,” Razre said while pointing to the Everfree Forest, “or else the dragons that we left in that little town might catch up to us and kill us.”
I felt uncomfortable about going in the Everfree Forest. The thought of LIVING there sent me shivers down my spine.
“Come on, we better make shelter before nighttime,” said Razre while walking into the forest.
It was around the afternoon. Razre and I have been walking for quite a long time now and we were deep in the Everfree Forest. It was going fine for us until we heard a nearby howl.
“We might have company,” whispered Razre.
Suddenly, a terrible, rotten smell was wafted towards us.
“Ugh, that smell. There are Timberwolves nearby. Keep low,” I whispered.
We peeked out from the large rock and saw six Timberwolves surrounding something that was laying on the ground. It also seemed that whatever was on the ground was badly injured and had feathers considering that there were crimson feathers lying nearby.
“We must save whatever is surrounded by the Timberwolves,” I whispered while looking at him. He nodded grimly and then, we both sprang up from behind the rock.
All of the Timberwolves were surprised and tried to protect themselves but we still destroyed them. Three Timberwolves soon got on top of Razre and started lashing at his back while I protected the harmed creature.
Razre couldn't get up but he wasn't getting hurt because dragons are known for having thick scales. I wanted to help him but then I remembered that I could use my magic. I then started to concentrate on my magic and aimed it directly at the three Timberwolves. Three rocks were soon levitated into the air while an emerald green aura was surrounding the stones, as well as my right claw. I launched the three stones to the Timberwolves and they were destroyed, leaving behind only their sticks and leaves.
The last three Timberwolves saw what we did and two of them fled, leaving behind one that was still staring at us. The last Timberwolf leaped in the air to try and harm me but all I had to do was ram my arm into him and all the creature became was a pile of sticks and leaves like his destroyed comrades.
“Spike, how did you do that?” asked Razre with awe.
“Do what?”
“Your draconian magic.”
“I've had a princess help me in my spare time,” I replied smugly.
“I've never seen a dragon that can perform magic. Dragons that can do that are extremely rare.”
“What do yo - ,” I was cut short by a nearby mournful cry.
“Hey, what's that behind you?” Razre asked.
I turned around and saw a phoenix that was badly injured. I didn't see it when I was fighting the creatures that were surrounding the fire bird. I then realized that the Timberwolves were about to eat this phoenix and I saved its life.
“It's a phoenix!” I exclaimed in awe. “We must save it!”
“Yes, we must, but how ?”
Razre had a point. How were we going to save the fire bird from dying? I soon had an idea but it would take most of my energy for this to work.
I placed my index claw gently on the phoenix's chest and exhaled through my nostrils when I was relieved that it was still alive. My claw then started to have a green aura around it and my aura was beginning to spread throughout the whole body of the fire bird. My breathing was starting to become heavy and my aura was close to consuming the phoenix. Once I had it under my aura completely, my spell was coming to end as it shone brightly. I collapsed on the grass, hyperventilating while sweat was pouring down my face and scales. Razre ran by my side and kneeled to help me get up.
“Dude, are you okay?” he asked with concern.
“Yeah… just let me… get more energy,” I replied through ragged breathing. “Go check… on the… phoenix.”
Razre walked next to the phoenix and checked if the bird was okay. He confirmed when its chest was rising and lowering properly and had no injuries.
“What did you do Spike?”
“I did a minor healing spell to the phoenix,” I replied while still breathing hard but enough to speak properly.
“I can see that it works but will it be okay?”
“I hope for the best. The spell only works on exterior injuries not interior.”
I started to try walking but my legs buckled and I nearly collapsed on the dirt if it weren't for Razre's fast reflexes.
“You need to rest,” he said. “You'll overexert yourself if you don't.”
He had a point. If I were to continue struggling, I could end up killing myself. “Fine,” I soon replied.
Razre put me propped up against a nearby tree that was leaning backwards, thus allowing me to let my back rest over its hunched-over trunk.
“I'm going to gather some nearby fruit. I'll be back soon with something for us to eat so don't go anywhere,” he said to me while walking towards the forest.
“As if I had a choice…” I muttered dryly under my breath.
I then lost sight of him as he turned left. My gaze shifted to the Phoenix's and I saw the bird still laying there. I was about to look away when I caught a glimpse of the bird's eye starting to open. I held my breath as soon as its eyes opened completely and looked straight at me. I did not move… I just stayed there, frozen in place, immobilized. The Phoenix started to get up and started to cautiously walk towards me. The fiery bird stopped midway and looked at me intently for what seemed like five minutes before looking away.
I started to move towards the Phoenix but the fiery bird must've thought I was trying to capture it since it kept backing away from me. I didn't want to scare it, so I backed away from it and placed myself where I originally was. The bird tilted its head sideways before trotting next to my foot. I just stared at the Phoenix, hoping it would not peck me with its beak or something. I started to get very impatient and I decided to try standing up to see if I had energy. Before I could even make my first move, the Phoenix flapped its wings and landed on my left shoulder. I looked at the Phoenix and the bird stared right back at me, as if it were waiting for some command to leave.
I spread out my right arm and the Phoenix flew and landed upon it.
“What a magnificent Phoenix you are,” I said to the fiery bird. I pulled it a little bit closer to me and gave the bird a warm smile. “
I think I should give you a name…”
The Phoenix tilted its head sideways and then shuffled a little.
“I think I'll call you… Solaris!”
The Phoenix seemed to like the name since it chirped happily and did three backflips. It finally calmed down and landed next to Spike's leg.
“My name's Spike and I've never - ” I was cut short by a nearby masculine shout.
“There he is!”
I turned around and got hit forcefully on my head. I layed on the ground from the sudden impact and my vision was a little blurry but before I could see who hit me, I received a second blow that had more force. My vision began to turn black as I began drifting into unconsciousness…

Chapter 3
“Ragebreak [Gore]”
[Spike's Point of View]
I slowly began drifting into consciousness. My vision was beginning to focus and I took notice of my surroundings. It was night, probably midnight. I saw a dragon in obsidian armor that sat next to what seemed a cauldron. The dragon in armor was probably bigger than me and only showed his long grey tail and his black spikes through his armor. The dragon looked at me with those menacing, scarlet eyes.
“Ah, you're awake,” the dragon said in a steely, cold tone.
I wanted to move but I soon realized that I've been tied with chains that were… glistening? I've broken through chains before but these were impossible to break! The dragon with armor saw me struggling to break free and laughed.
“Stupid little idiot. You can't break free. Your feeble attempt at breaking those chains is just a waste of your energy.”
I growled and snarled at him. “What have you done to these chains?” The dragon gave me a smirk and gave me a hit in my stomach. My air was knocked out and I desperately gasped for oxygen. The drake chuckled before finally replying, “These chains… they're not made of metal. They're made out of special draconic stone that is located in Yir’kurr, north of Draconia. I am surprised that you don't know this…”
“Why… did… you… capture me?” I asked through my wheezing.
The armored dragon gave me another blow that was directed to my head. I felt groggy once I received the forceful hit and I struggled to keep my vision focused.
“DON'T ACT INNOCENT!” he shouted loudly at my face.
“Innocent? I'm not acting innocent!” I shouted back. I received another hit to my head, making me spit blood from my mouth.
“LIES!” he shouted, “You will never trick anydragon, especially me, General Ignus!”
I lifted my head and glared at him. Ignus just smirked.
“I admire your bravery but all that is in vain since you will be soon executed,” he said in a low, menacing tone.
“I haven't done anything,” I spat. The general looked at me and then turned around to walk near the cauldron.
“Such bravado as a dragon's last words but don't worry, you won't be the only one…” he said while snapping his fingers. Immediately, three other dragons dragged a black scaled and red spiked drake that was beaten severely and bleeding in many places.
“They captured me too,” said Razre through a ragged, cracked voice.
I stared in horror at Razre's condition. His crimson spikes were somehow bent and some even broken! He had many cuts and gashes that covered nearly all of his chest, stomach and head. Blood was spilling from his mouth and many other areas.
“RELEASE ME!” I roared with rage.
Ignus just chuckled and then came closer to me. He kneeled and came to eye level with me.
“It is so sad to see a brave dragon die,” the general said coldly.
“Then why don't you release me?” I snarled.
“You should know the answer,” replied the general casually.
My rage was building up, almost to its limit. If I couldn't keep it under control, I wouldn't be able to think properly to escape with Razre. My rage reached its limit when I heard Razre grunt from a hit from one of the general's dragon fighters.
“Haywyre, it's time for executing these two into the draconic acid. Kill Razre first,” commanded General Ignus.
Once I heard that command, I lost control of my rage and soon, my draconic instincts kicked in.
[Razre's Point of View]
This was my end. I was going to die in a cauldron filled with draconic acid. Haywyre, a yellow scaled dragon with orange spikes grabbed me by my chains and pulled on me. I struggled to not be dragged off by the dragon but I failed. I thought my end was near when I heard a loud shout.
Spike broke free of his chains and his eyes were glowing a vivid green. I knew at that moment that his draconic instincts had took their toll and that he let his rage control him. General Ignus barked orders to the dragons to defeat Spike.
What I saw next, was very unexpected. Jettix, a red scaled dragon with black spikes, ran to Spike, dagger on his hand. I thought for a second that Spike would die but instead, it was vice versa. Spike cut right through Jettix's neck with his bare claw, causing blood to fly everywhere and the head of the executed dragon to land right next to Spike. Haywyre recoiled back from Spike's simple but deadly move, knowing very well that he had no chance. The green dragon spotted Haywyre and tackled him down. Spike used his claws and dug them deep into Haywyre's scales, causing his victim to scream in agony while blood came pouring out. I directed my attention to the grey scaled General. He took out his bow and infamous toxic arrow and pointed it to Spike, just like he had done it in the town that was inhabited by ponies.
“Spike, look out!” I shouted to him.
The magical dragon reacted just in time. He picked up Haywyre's still alive carcass in blurring speed and held him in front of him. The toxic arrow hit Haywyre, killing the dragon instantly. He threw the carcass into the cauldron, dissolving under the powerful draconic acid.
There were now, two enemies left. General Ignus and Keosni, a cerulean scaled dragon with purple spines.
“Surrender dragon or die trying!” the General shouted to Spike.
Spike replied in a deep, steely, cold tone that wasn't his. It's as if I were hearing a more older version of him!
“I'd like to see you try.”
The General howled with anger and Keosni pulled out his commander's sword. It wasn't any other draconic sword, his sword had a double-edged sword that was crafted by the best silversmiths in Draconia. General Ignus' sword was bendable and it couldn't be broken by any other regular draconic sword. The one thing that I hated about his sword was that it had poison. The General loved Zar'puel poison, the most toxic, deadliest poison ever known to Draconia. He always used Zar'puel in all of his weapons.
Spike only had one weapon that he could use and that was magic. I hope he learned a lot from what the princess taught him. Keosni gave General Ignus his sword and the General wield it expertly. Spike showed no restraint and stood in a fighting position.
Ignus made the first move, swinging his sword at a blurring speed. Spike dropped flat and regained his composure in less than a second. The grey dragon then swung his sword again at him, only to find out that it was wrapped in chains. Spike pulled on the chains, making the General hold his sword tightly. The green and purple drake twisted the chains to make the toxic sword land on one of his claws. He soon succeeded as he pulled and twisted one of his chains left, resulting in the General to let go and the sword to spin while barely scraping his left claw. Immediately his left claw turned from grey to a shade of a very dark purple. Ignus howled in pain and used his right claw to get his sword.
“I've been poisoned! Keosni, the antidote!” Ignus commanded.
The cerulean scaled drake with purple spines ran with the antidote to aid his commander but he was soon killed as Spike used his magic to summon an obsidian dagger secretly and launched it with incredible force. The dagger went straight through the dragon, resulting in blood to start spilling from the wound and his mouth. Keosni, the last of the still-in-training fighters, died.
Now there were two dragons standing. Spike and General Ignus gave each other menacing glares that made me feel as if I was a baby dragon getting glares from an adult drake. I watched in awe as Spike used his dagger skillfully and dove under the General's attacks. The grey dragon in obsidian armor, charged forward while swinging his sword. Spike, on the other claw, did multiple backflips before springing up from a tree and land directly behind the General's back. I saw in a second, Spike enchanting his dagger and then throwing it with all his might at General Ignus. I was shocked to find out that the dagger broke through the General's obsidian armor and pierced him almost to the heart. The General hissed at Spike and pulled out the dagger from his body. He flung the dagger at him and Spike did a sidestep, avoiding the attack, not knowing that the dagger was curving and that it was coming at him.
“Spike!” I tried to yell, “Behind you!”
Spike saw the dagger coming towards him and he moved out of the way but he was too late. The dagger cut his right arm, making a huge gash from his claw to his elbow. Spike didn't flinch when he looked at his wound. Instead, he spat on the ground and used his magic to summon nine more daggers. He held the ten little daggers under his telekinesis aura. The General started backing away from Spike after seeing that Spike was a rare magical dragon.
“Y-you can use… magic !?” Ignus spat out.
Spike laughed manically and then answered in that deep, cold voice that sent shivers down my spine.
“Surrender,” Spike demanded.
“Never.”
“Then this is your end,” he replied.
He lifted the ten daggers and spun them until they became blurs in his telekinesis aura. He launched them and I closed my eyes as I heard a sickening PLOP. I reopened my eyes and saw the General's head on the grass while his body's blood and parts were all over the dirt. Spike picked up the remains of the deceased General and tossed them into cauldron. The acid dissolved the remains of the once undefeatable General Ignus. Spike picked up General Ignus' sword and put the blade in the acid. He removed the blade out of the cauldron and I was surprised that the blade didn't dissolve in the strong toxic. The blade was shining silver and he touched the blade…
His claw didn't get poisoned… but how? Probably the acid wiped away the poison? I'd have to ask him some other day. He came closer to me and he raised the sword…
“Crap,” I mumbled under my breath.
I closed my eyes and I thought that I was going to get killed by Spike until I heard a CLANG. I opened my eyes and saw that the chains were broken. I was free…
“Thank you for saving me Spike,” I said to him.
He helped me get up and he placed his claw on my shoulder. I was confused at what he was doing.
“Spike, what are you doing?”
“It should help you,” he replied calmly.
His claw began having a green aura around it. The green aura spread through my cuts and bruises. As soon as it ended, I felt better. Spike, on the other claw, was exhausted and gave me a weak smile before falling unconscious…

Chapter 4
“My Reflection”
[In Spike's Consciousness]
Where am I? Why is it all dark? Did I die?
I was standing on air. There was nothing in sight and all I saw was just darkness.
“Hello!” I shouted.
Silence. I was starting to fear this place when all of a sudden, I saw a blinding flash. I shielded my eyes from the brightness and the light started to decrease. At first, it revealed a silhouette of a large dragon. As the brightness started to fade more, I saw that it was… me?
The dragon's features were almost like mine. He was purple scaled with green spikes, green eyes and was much taller than me.
“Who are you?” I asked with a hint of fear in my voice.
The dragon gave me a toothy grin, revealing his huge canine fangs. They were probably a foot long!
“I am of your existance,” he replied in a rich, deep voice.
Confused at what he said, I replied with, “What?”.
The elder dragon that looked like me, came closer to me and interrogated me.
“Spike, have you not already guessed who I am?”
I took a good look at him. He had the same color of scales as me, same color of spikes as me, and same color of eyes. My guess was soon a wild one.
“You're… me?”
The dragon grinned and replied, “Correct.”
“B-but… how?” I stammered.
“You see Spike, a dragon's soul is divided into two sections. You are the dragon that mostly controls your consciousness and your body. The other half of your soul that you can't control very well but can use, is me. I am an exact, older duplicate of you. The only difference is that I am the wielder of your abilities, strengths, skills and limits. I can help you increase or decrease your abilities when you really need it,” he explained.
“So basically, you are like a secondary adrenaline power source?”
“In a way, yes,” he replied.
“Then how do I use it?”
“You already did…”
“Wha…?” I already did it? How?
“Do you remember what happened when General Ignus ordered Haywyre to execute your friend Razre first?”
Fresh images of the incident, came back to me. I remembered what happened.
“I got very furious…”
“Do you remember anything of what happened afterwards?” he asked with curiosity.
The next set of images were a haze to me. I tried focusing on what I could make out of my memory but it was all a blur.
“No,” I finally replied.
The elder duplicate gave me a frown.
“I thought so… After you had your rage tantrum, I took over your instincts and your consciousness to destroy the dragons. You may not know but I'll explain it to you. The three dragons and the General were killed by me. Their existence is no more.”
I was in shock. He killed them for me. “You fought for me… why? I could've done it myself!” I said with pride.
The duplicate looked at me with a “WTF” expression on his face.
“Obviously, you do not know your skills in fighting,” he said. “Fight me and I'll prove you what your skills are.”
I was caught off guard by that last statement. I gave him a confused look.
“I said… fight me,” he repeated.
Well, this would be an fantastic battle. I am battling the older version of myself… and the scenery changed to plains.
The little battle began as I made a feint with my left claw and directed my right to his chest, ready to scrape him. The next thing I know is that I am being hanged upside-down. The duplicate gave me a smirk. He then threw me with his full force to the grass. I landed with a crater that was at least fifteen meters wide in diameter. My older self then came charging at me and I tried to block him but somehow, he managed to hit me in stomach. My air was knocked out and I was gasping for more oxygen. The older drake, grabbed me by my tail with his powerful, large claws and flung me like a rag to a nearby tree. I went sailing through the air at a very fast rate and destroyed the tree's trunk as I went right through it.
I felt lightheaded and my ears were ringing. I felt something trickle down my chin and found out that it was blood. My duplicate came at me fast but I reacted as well. He was quick and I could only block his attacks but I was soon starting to get weary. Eventually, I did a wrong attempt and I was hit forcefully in my jaw. Blood was now pouring out of my maw and I lay in the dirt. The older dragon looked at me and shook his head slowly.
“You are very vulnerable Spike,” he said.
I tried to get up but I couldn't. I soon felt as if I were in a compact space and I looked up to see the older version of myself to use his magic. His claw ignited with a dark green aura and a beam of green energy hit me. I didn't feel any pain, in the contrary, I felt much better. My bruises and cuts disappeared and my aching as well.
“You used a healing spell, right?”
“Obviously,” he huffed while also emitting smoke from his nostrils.
“You need to train if you're going to go survive in the Everfree Forest,” he said, “…you'll need it.”
“Wait… I'm not going to the Everfree.”
“I'm afraid you'll have to because there are more dragons that are looking for you and your companion Razre.”
“Then I'll just get help from my friends and the princesses! They will be able to help!”
“They can't,” he simply replied.
“Why not?”
The older me face-clawed. “Haven't you already realized that bringing this to the princesses' attention will cause a war between ponies and dragons?”
“I haven't - ”
“It will be your fault if you bring the subject to your princesses. Surely, you don't want to start a war, do you?”
“No but - ”
“Then go to the Everfree Forest and survive. Train yourself and…” he lowered his voice. “Don't make idiotic decisions.”
“LET ME SPEAK!” I yelled as loud as I could.
The older drake looked at me and arched a scaly brow.
“First of all, how the hell am I supposed to survive in the Everfree Forest? Secondly, how will I start a war and third of all, do you even have a name?”
The dragon smirked and then finally gave me a response.
“You can survive in the Everfree Forest, Spike. You are a dragon, not a pony. Dragons can live in almost any condition and habitat. To answer your second question, a long story short, you must go to the Dragonlands and find out,” his expression then turned grim. “I also have a name. My name is the same as yours but I also go by another title. My draconic name is Ex’ze .”
“Okay, but where - ”
“You are in your inner conscious,” he interrupted.
How did he know what I was going to ask him? Does he know something I don't?
“How'd you know I'd ask you that?” I asked with curiosity.
“Spike, I'm the ‘other half ’ of you. I can read your thoughts, help regulate and stabilize your body, control your skills and I can even help you through tough situations,” Ex’ze replied.
“That's nice but how - ”
“You'll be waking up in a few moments,” he said.
I began feeling pain and soon everything became black as I prepared to re-enter my consciousness…
[Spike's Point of View]
“Uuggh…”
I felt sore, numb and exhausted. I heard some muffled sounds from where I was lying. The muffled sounds started to get clearer until I recognized the voice.
“Spike!” I heard Razre shouting. “Are you okay?”
I opened my eyes and at first, it was all a blur. After a few seconds, my vision became clearer and I saw Razre's golden eyes looking straight at me with concern.
Razre exhaled throughly and asked if I was alright. I replied that I felt very sore, numb and felt pain.
“I thought you had died because of exhaustion,” the black scaled drake said.
“What makes you think that?”
“Well, you fought three dragons and the best general of Draconia. You killed them all either bare clawed or by magic!” he said with awe.
I killed them all… Ex’ze wasn't lying about that…
“Hey Spike, are you okay?” Razre asked while waving a claw at my face. I immediately snapped out of my trance and directed my attention to him.
“Huh?”
“You were thinking right?” he asked.
“Yeah.”
“What were you thinking of?”
“Nothing important.”
Razre didn't reply and he remained silent until he spotted something in the sky.
“Hey, what's that?” he said to me while pointing a claw to a dark silhouette in the sky.
“I don't know,” I replied slowly. “Wait a minute…”
I squinted my eyes but I could barely make out the colors I was seeing. I saw orange and yellow but then it became a silhouette again as it flew higher until it started to descend fast. It came closer and closer until I saw that it was… a phoenix? Suddenly, I remembered…
“Solaris?” I said.
The phoenix looked at me and gave me a happy chirp. I held out my arm and the fiery bird landed on it.
“Where have you been little one?” I asked while gently rubbing its head.
The phoenix flew away from my arm and gave me a chirp. It flew a few trees until it turned around. Solaris chirped twice and directed its neck to a tree… as if to point to something.
“Spike, I think Solaris wants to show us something,” said Razre.
“Let's follow him.”
I followed Solaris to a pond that I didn't even know was here. The phoenix flew above the surface of the water and stopped almost in the center of the lake.
“It seems whatever he found is on the bottom of the lake,” Razre said.
I got closer to the edge of the pond and saw something glistening on the bottom of the lake.
“Gems!” I exclaimed. “Solaris found us gems!” The black scaled dragon looked down and confirmed that it was gems.
“Wait here. I'll get them,” I said. I took a deep breath and then dived into the lake. When I was fully enveloped by the pond's clean water, I felt cool as the liquid touched all of my scales. I looked down and saw the glistening gems right below me. I swam to the bottom until I felt a cold current of water hit me. I felt something watching me and turned around… nothing. I grabbed the gems and started to reach the surface until I received a second cold current of water. I turned around and saw two glowing, cobalt eyes staring right back at me.
I slowly started to swim away from the aquatic creature and tried to move to the surface of the water. To my mistake, I felt something wrap around my torso and saw that it was scaly and also cobalt-like. I struggled to get free but I couldn't. The creature came out of the dark depths and let the sunlight hit it. The creature was a cobalt scaled dragon with purple spikes. It also seemed to direct its attention at the gems I had grabbed, so I directed my claw with the gems to the cobalt dragon. A blue claw was held out at me and I gave the gems to the dragon. The cobalt dragon let go of me and returned to the depths of the lake. I swam to the surface of the lake and got out. Razre looked at me from a tree that he was lying on.
“Did you find any gems?” he asked.
“Yes but its someone's property,” I replied.
“Wait… there's something down there?”
“Yeah, there's a cobalt scaled dragon down there. I don't know if its a dragon or dragoness.”
“Let's leave the dragon or dragoness alone, surely it doesn't want any company.”
As if on cue, a splash of water hit me and Razre. We both turned around and saw the cobalt scaled creature with purple spikes looking at us…
Author's Note
Finally got this chapter done… on my birthday [December 21st] , what a coincidence. Anyways, any guesses on what will happen next? Who is this new aquatic dragon that Spike encountered?

Chapter 5
“The Prophecy of Elek’ro”
[Spike's Point of View]
The cobalt scaled creature smirked at us. Razre and I just stood there looking at it, expecting some sort of attack. The cobalt dragon's expression turned to one of confusion.
“Why are you two looking at me like that?”
The voice was feminine, meaning that the cobalt scaled dragon was a dragoness.
“Sorry for making you feel uncomfortable but we thought you were going to attack us,” I replied.
“Now why would I do that?” she asked in an innocent tone.
“You wrapped me with your tail when I got my claws on the gems,” I pointed out. “You were also suffocating me underwater.”
“I'm sorry if I nearly killed you but there have been some dragons that have stolen from me.”
“Really?” Razre and I asked in unison.
“Yes, three dragons that looked like from a draconic military, marched through here with their general.”
“How did they look like?”
She described a dragon that was almost my size, grey scaled with obsidian armor. I knew who the dragon was. General Ignus and his allies have stolen from the dragoness. She then asked us if we knew where they were.
“I know who stole from you and where he is,” I replied.
“Really? When I find them, I'll make sure their corpses are full of acid,” she smiled wickedly while also exposing her small fangs.
“I'm afraid you can't.”
“What? Why not?” she pouted like a little hatchling.
“They have been taken care of,” I replied.
“I don't understand…” she said slowly.
He face-clawed. “They have been killed.”
The dragoness looked at me before saying that she didn't believe me.
“You can always ask my witness,” I said while directing my claw to Razre. The black scaled dragon nodded his head in approval.
The dragoness seemed to accept the answer. She started to twirl her claws nervously and direct her gaze away from me.
“Umm… are you okay?”
“Y-yes,” she stammered.
“My name is Spike, what's yours?”
Five seconds passed before she finally spoke up. “My name is Sapphire.”
“Nice to meet you!” I extended my claw to her. She shook it and replied, “Nice to meet you too!”
“Could you help us on finding food around here?” I asked.
“I might have some extra food, hold on,” she said as she did a backflip and dove into the lake.
Thirty seconds passed before a dripping wet dragoness appeared with lots of gems in both of her claws.
“Here, a small gift from me,” she said while giving me the gems.
“Thank you Sapphire for giving us these gems. How did you find so much in very little time?” I asked.
“I have lived here for nearly six years. I have survived all this time here.”
“You haven't lived here all of your life here, right?”
“No, I used to live in the Dragonlands. I was forced to leave because my parents shunned me as if I wasn't their daughter. My life there was miserable. Every other dragon or dragoness hatchling had caring parents but not me,” she ended with a sad tone while also drooping her ear-frills and her head.
I saw a tear fall to the ground.
“Sapphire?” I asked with concern.
She looked up at me with her watery, cerulean eyes and ran up to me. She hugged me afterwards while also crying heavily into my chest. The action took me by surprise and I did the only thing I could do at the moment. I tried to console her, saying that she was alright and that it was the only thing that mattered.
“I wish my parents would change and care for me,” she bawled into my chest. I patted her on the head gently, hoping that it would cease the crying.
“You're not the only one,” I said, “To be honest, I have never met my parents before,” I confessed.
She looked at me, our faces barely inches away while her body pressed into mine.
“Really?”
I shook my head.
She let go of my body and stood there, not knowing what to say.
“Hey, don't worry,” I said while waving a dismissive claw at her.
She shuffled a little and kept her gaze away from me. I looked over to Razre who had been awfully quiet all the time. He gave me the ‘Let's go ’ signal and I proceeded to do so.
“Sapphire, I'm afraid we must go,” I said.
She glanced at my direction and whispered, “Okay.”
We both started to leave until I heard Sapphire call out to me.
“Spike, wait.”
I turned around and saw Sapphire pawing the ground lightly while also keeping her gaze at the dirt.
“Yes?”
“C-could I… g-go w-with… you?” she asked timidly.
I looked at Razre, who had a nervous expression on his face. I gave him an annoyed expression and he sighed almost inaudibly. He shook his head and I smiled at my victory.
“Sure,” I replied.
The cobalt dragoness looked up at me with a smile and ran up to hug me. I blushed a little and attempted to hide it as she pulled back.
“Thank you!” she happily said as she ran somewhere.
I chuckled softly to myself as she started to wander off in another direction.
“We're traveling south-west,” I said.
Sapphire blushed as she realized where she was going. She started to walk our direction and a few seconds later, she caught up with us.
“Let's go everyone,” I said.
We started walking south-west and Sapphire walked in front of us. I caught Razre staring at Sapphire's curvaceous rear and nudged him on the side.
“Hey Razre, you're staring,” I whispered.
He got nervous and I chuckled lightly. He then got a blush on his face.
“Please don't tell her,” he pleaded.
“Why? Do you like her?” I teased while smirking.
“W-what? N-no… I'm just,” he said before I cut him off.
“I'm just teasing with 'ya,” I smirked.
He gave me a glare of annoyance and I waved a dismissive claw at him.
Sapphire stopped at a hill and we both followed her to the hill and stopped as well.
“So, where are we going?” she asked.
I looked over to the horizon and saw a town with a giant tree sticking out.
“We're going to an old place that I like to call ‘home’.”
[Spike's Point of View]
“That's your home?”
Sapphire looked at the distant town that surrounded a huge tree.
“Yep, that's where I live. It's time to pay a visit,” I said.
“Does Razre also know that you lived there?” the cobalt dragoness asked.
The black scaled dragon with crimson spikes spoke up to Sapphire.
“As a matter of fact, yes. When I was marching with my general, I saw Spike getting ready to attack us,” Razre explained.
“Wait… you were one of the general's fighters?” she asked in a menacing tone.
Way to go Razre. You screwed up.
“Uhh… n-no,” he stammered.
“You were the general's fighter?” Sapphire screamed with rage while she leaped on him and pinned him on the ground.
“I will kill you!” the dragoness said in a dark tone.
Sapphire gave Razre a deep scratch on his chest. He blew a fireball at Sapphire, resulting for the sea dragoness to be knocked on a tree. The dragoness proceeded to form small water orbs on her palms and waited patiently for Razre to attack. The black scaled dragon didn't attack her.
“I'm the one who saved Spike. I didn't follow the general's orders,” he yelled at the dragoness.
“LIES!” she hissed.
Both of them were now preparing to attack each other. Razre's claws, wings and tail were ignited with his fire element while Sapphire held two orbs of boiling acid on her palms. I watched both of them launch their attacks at the same time and I intervened at the last second before their attacks hit each other.
“STOP!” I roared.
Everything was stopped and held in place as I surrounded my magical aura over both dragons and their attacks.
“You're a… magical dragon ?” she asked in awe.
“Of course he is. What'd you expect from him? Be the Element of Gems?” Razre spat at Sapphire.
“Shut up, both of you. There is no need to fight,” I said in a menacing, dark tone. “If you continue to fight,” I threatened, “I'll make sure your death is painful and your carcass is in the darkest pits of Tartarus. Do I make myself clear?”
Both dragons nodded nervously at me.
“Then, DO. NOT. FIGHT,” I snarled. With a snap of my claws, the attacks that were launched to each dragon, dissapeared and I released my telekinesis aura from them. Afterwards, I left by myself to go to Ponyville.
[Sapphire's Point of View]
Spike left. Me and Razre were left on the hill.
“Look at what you did!” I snapped at him.
“Me? You're the one who's trying to kill me,” he replied with a snarl.
“Well, you were the one who stole from me!”
“I already told you that I never stole from you. I saved him from the General and we both killed him.”
I wrapped my tail around Razre's waist and started to suffocate him.
“I don't believe you,” I said darkly.
“Then don't. Believe anything you want. I don't care,” he spat.
I strangled him more. He ignited his wings on fire and it burned my tail. I hissed with rage.
“I swear that I'll slay you one day.”
Razre didn't reply, instead, he simply turned around and left in the direction where Spike went.
[Spike's Point of View]
I was trekking for a long time. I sat down on a nearby rock and summoned an emerald to my claw. I took a bite of the colorful gemstone, savoring the rich mineral taste that it contained.
When I was going to take another bite, a lightning bolt hit a nearby tree. I jumped and looked around for any clouds. There were none. My fear increased as I saw a lightning bolt hit a rock that was about ten steps away from me. I ran in a desperate attempt to avoid being electrocuted but nearly got hit as a lightning bolt struck in front of me.
I stopped and looked around again… no clouds. I set up a magical force field around me and started to walk. A lightning bolt struck my field and I felt a my right arm go numb. Another lightning bolt hit my field and it started to crack while also making my left arm go numb as well. A final bolt hit my force field and it exploded, sending me a good distance away from where I stood.
My vision started to blur. All I saw were colors and I blinked a few times to try clear my vision. As my eyesight started to clear, I saw a silver scaled dragon with gold spikes glaring at me with his bronze colored eyes. His left claw was pointing at me, flickering with electricity.
“Irwë kr’eq magh’re Dwanik* ,” the dragon snarled at me.
I didn't understand what it said.
“What?” I asked.
The silver dragon tilted its head sideways.
“Do you not know how to speak Dra’Voltn **?” the electric dragon asked me in a deep masculine voice.
“No.”
“Do you live in the Dragonlands?”
“No.”
The dragon eyed me curiously. “Figures,” he muttered.
“My name is Silvre Lightbolt, Element of Electricity,” the dragon introduced himself and held out his claw.
I shook it and got electrocuted. Silvre burst out laughing.
“Oh, you should have seen your face!” he said through a fit of laughter.
“Yeah, very,” I muttered dryly under my breath.
After Silvre calmed down, he asked me what was my name.
“My name is Spike, Element of Magic,” I replied.
“Element of Magic? That's impossible! There hasn't been a dragon with the Element of Magic for over a millennia! What makes you think you have the Element?” the dragon asked curiously.
“Well, I was hatched by magic by a - ”
“Wait… you were hatched by magic , you say?”
“Yes, by a unicorn named Twilight Sparkle.”
“You were hatched by a unicorn …?”
“Yes but now she's an Alicorn or a half pegasus, half unicorn pony,” I explained. “I was an egg that was supposed to be impossible to be hatched but Twilight had the ability to do it.”
The electric dragon listened intently and when I finished explaining, he was in deep thought.
“Have you've been attacked by dragons?” he asked.
“Yes, why?”
“Oh no…” he mumbled.
“What?” I asked.
“The prophecy is true…” he muttered again.
“What prophecy?” I asked irritably.
“I'll explain it to you on the way, right now, I have to get you safe. Were you with any dragon else?”
“Yes, two dragons. One is a dragoness by the name of Sapphire and the other one is a dragon by the name of Razre,” I replied.
“Good, now, where does this Twilight Sparkle live?”
I pointed to a distant town surrounding a huge tree.
“Over there, in Ponyville.”
“Let's get those two dragons and head over to Ponyville,” he said while he started flapping his huge wings. I did the same as Silvre and flapped my own wings to pursuit him.
After what felt like thirty minutes, Silvre spotted something.
“Are those the two dragons?” he said while pointing to a blue and black dot on the ground.
“Yep, that's them.”
We both flew to where they were and I heard them yelling at each other…again. We landed in front of them and they froze.
“We didn't do anything,” Razre said.
I merely face-clawed.
“We must get to Ponyville at once,” Silvre said.
“Why the big rush Silvre?” I protested.
His bronze eyes stared at mine. “Do you not know why?” he asked.
I nodded.
“Spike, do you have any idea why there are dragons sent to kill you?”
I thought about it and said no.
“Well, let me tell you WHY. You are the last pure dragon to bear the Element of Magic. According to the Prophecy of Elek’ro, the dragon with the bearer of the most powerful Element known to Draconia will either use its magic to preserve Draconia or perish it forever,” he explained.
I was deep in thought. I was the bearer of the most powerful Element known to Draconia but about that last sentence that Silvre said made me think more. How would I destroy Draconia? If I were to save it, what would I save it from?
“So I have the fate of Draconia on my claws?” I asked dryly.
The silver drake slightly nodded.
“Anything else I should know?”
“Your magic is powerful and is unlike any other. If you were to train with me, I'd help you with your magic. Something you should also know is that in Draconia, there seems to be a dispute about you. It would explain why they are trying to execute you but I don't know the reason.”
I looked at Razre and Sapphire, who seemed to have a neutral expression on both their faces.
“So… umm… what now?”
“We should get to this Twilight Sparkle in Ponyville, correct?” Silvre asked.
I nodded in response.
“Let's go before she gets caught.”
“Wait… caught?” I asked in worry.
“The dragons that want to kill you may question the ponies where you are. They will most likely go to where you lived and take Twilight as a captive, using her as a tool,” he explained.
“We must get there before the dragons get to Ponyville,” I asked with urgency.
“We will,” he said with reassurance. “I know a way we can get there faster but it will require your magic.”
“Okay. What do I need to do?”
“Do you know how to teleport from place to place?”
“You aren't suggesting that I teleport everyone to Ponyville, right?” I asked with uncertainty.
“No. I want you to prepare the teleportation spell but don't use it. I will tweak the spell a little and when I say ‘Fire ,’ you use your spell,” he said.
I started to charge the teleportation spell and a green aura surrounded my body. I nodded at Silvre and he touched me. I saw as the green aura changed to a grey aura. I felt my energy draining and alerted Silvre by tapping his shoulder. He nodded and said “Fire!” I fired my spell and bright flash happened. The light faded and I saw that we were still in the same place.
“The spell didn't work,” I said defeatedly.
“It did work. Watch!” he said as he left running while leaving behind a silver blur. He returned with gems three seconds later.
“Gems anyone?” he offered. We all took a gem and thanked him.
“The spell I cast was a speed spell, right?” I asked.
“Yes but you also have fast reflexes, movements, better eyesight, better hearing and higher stamina,” he said.
“How long does the spell last?” I asked nervously.
“About five minutes or so but it can always be done again,” he reassured me. “Now, let's get going. We must get to Ponyville before dragons arrive there. Spike, lead the way!”
I started to run and I immediately felt going at about five hundred kilometers per second. As I ran, there were many trees and rocks that I had to dodge. Silvre was right about having fast reflexes. I saw Ponyville in the distance and heard Sapphire yelling at me.
“Is that Ponyville?” the dragoness asked.
I slowed down a bit but I soon regretted it as all of us crashed into each other, causing all of us to go in different directions. I was knocked forward and I hit a rock, cracking from the impact. I stood up with a headache and looked around.
We were outside Ponyville's borders.
“Let's go! We're here!” I said happily.
“Hold on,” Razre said. “I sense that another dragon is here.”
“What makes you say that?”
Razre ball his fist and then opened it. On his palm was a red sphere of fire.
“This is my way of knowing if there are other fire dragons around,” he explained. “The sphere begins to shape into an arrow as soon as it finds another dragon with the Element of Fire.”
He tapped on the sphere and it turned into an arrow that was pointing to the direction of Town Square.
“It's pointing to Ponyville's Town Square,” I said.
“Then let's get to it,” replied Razre.
We walked to Town Square and hid behind some crates. We heard a male voice and we peeked to see. What we all saw was unexpected.
Chapter 6
“Outnumbered [Gore]”
[Spike's Point of View]
I looked out from behind the crates and tried to spot Twilight. I didn't see her or the other Elements of Harmony midst the crowd of ponies.
An entire fleet of dragons were surrounding the ponies and one dragon that was probably twice the size of me, questioned their captives.
“Where is the magical dragon?” the colossal dragon snarled at them.
Some ponies cowered in fear while others just stood there, paralyzed.
“I said,” the huge dragon repeated himself. “Where is the magical dragon?”
The colossal dragon was charging a fireball on its claws.Time was running out. I had to chose either to fight or flee from here. I looked over to Razre and he looked back.
“You have ten seconds to answer me before I burn you all!” the huge metallic chrome dragon with black spikes yelled at the ponies.
“10…”
Should we leave?
“9…”
…Or should we fight?
“8…”
We'd fight if we were stronger…
“7…”
But we have each other by our sides…
“6…”
We wield the Elements.
“5…”
And no matter how much the odds are…
“4…”
We are stronger than a thousand dragons…
“3…”
Because we are…
“2…”
The Draconic Elements.
“1…”
I sprang up from my hiding position, a fireball fully charged of magic on my claw. I launched it, with all the force I could gather and threw it at the giant metallic dragon.
“Score!” I yelled as my attack hit the colossal dragon on the back with a loud “CLANG!”
It seemed to do damage to the dragon, since it kept trying to regain its balance and kept hissing. It turned to face me, glaring while doing so.
“There you are!” it said venomously while all the ponies ran away in terror.
I held my ground. This dragon was huge! It was twice the size of me and from the looks of it, the dragon seemed to be a Metallic Dragon since it seemed to not have scales but metal. No problem, just send a lightning bolt charged with electricity. My thoughts were interrupted as a giant fireball was hurled at me. I managed to dodge it in time and I once again stood glaring at the huge dragon. The metallic drake laughed at my actions.
“Give up young one. You have no chance!” the drake said confidently.
“Probably not alone,” I said. “But I have three more dragons with the Draconic Elements.”
With a snap, Razre, Sapphire and Silvre appeared by my side, weapons in their claws and with menacing glares.
“It's four against a thousand,” the giant drake said while signaling for his fighters to surround us.
The entire fleet of dragons made a circle around us. We had no escape and I gave an order to my friends.
“Don't back down. Fight until your last breath,” I commanded.
The drake was taken aback by my boldness but then a wry smile came to his face.
“Then so be it…” he waved his arm to the right half of the circle and the fighters pulled out their weapons. The huge drake let him arm fall and the fighters ran towards us.
I let my adrenaline take over my instincts. I felt myself doing everything in a blur. I sliced through a sixth dragon with my razor, sharp claws. I left the seventh drake with a giant hole in its chest from a fireball that was formed in my palms.
Ten dragons attacked me at the same time with their swords and I summoned General Ignus's sword in time to strike the first three with a fast slice to their necks, ending their life immediately. Five dragons more came at me and tried to stab me at my chest. I dodged most of their swings until I made a false move and got a huge gash on my back. I ignored the pain and still fought for my life alongside the other bearers of the Draconic Elements.
[Silvre Lightbolt's Point of View]
Thunder was heard and another dragon was struck with my lightning. It seemed as if I was going to fight nonstop. There were lots of dragons as far as the draconic eye could see. We were outnumbered but something… or someone probably enchanted us. I felt my limbs getting lighter and stronger. I saw three dragons pouncing on Razre and I directed my claw to my new opponents. Immediately, I let lightning strike the three dead, giving Razre the ability to keep fighting.
One dragon came at me from behind me and I electrocuted him as soon as my claw came in contact with his scales. Two more came in my direction from the sky and I pierced the body of a dragon with my claw, killing it instantly while I grabbed the carcass and flung it at the still flying dragon.
Suddenly, from out of nowhere, a huge metallic claw grabbed me. I struggled from its grasp but I couldn't get free. I was brought forth to a huge dragon's face.
“Surprise!” the chrome drake said.
I tried to struggle but to no avail, I ended up getting my air knocked out. The metallic drake laughed at my attempt to get free.
“Don't try little one. You can't get free,” the metallic dragon hissed at me.
I snarled in response. The chrome dragon chuckled again and began putting more pressure on me.
“You know, there's only one thing I can do right now,” I said while he was suffocating me slowly.
He stopped suffocating me but still kept a firm grip on me. “Oh yeah? What's that?” he mocked me.
“This!” I smirked as I started to charge up with electricity. I soon felt strength to amplify my charge and I did.
“Huayra mazayk*,” I said the spell in a hushed tone.
The metal dragon looked at me in shock at what I was doing. The huge drake was going to throw me but it was too late, I made a huge explosion of charged electricity and then I saw the metallic dragon go from a shiny chrome to a charred, dark grey color.
BOOM!
I laid on the ground in a small crater and didn't see anyone else. I was getting worried and thought that I might have killed everyone, including the other Draconic Elements.
“Spike! Razre! Sapphire!” I called out.
“We're right here,” replied a deep, baritone voice.
I turned around and saw Spike and the other two in a green force field that was covering them. Spike stopped using the spell and the force field faded.
“What happened?” Spike asked.
“That huge metal dragon grabbed me and was suffocating me. I saved myself by using lightning,” I explained.
“I can tell. You left Ponyville's Town Square a wreck,” he said as he pointed to many charred, deceased bodies. “How did you even power up that much electricity in you Silvre?” he asked with curiosity.
I thought for a minute, trying to comprehend what happened while I was being suffocated by the metallic dragon. “I felt a newfound energy,” I said. “It was like adrenaline and I decided to use it but I didn't know I could cause that much damage,” I concluded.
“Don't worry,” Spike patted me lightly on my back.
I looked around Ponyville's Town Square and saw lots of charred corpses, some were even burning. Bones and skulls were almost everywhere. Blood was stained on the ground as well as for some buildings. The atmosphere smelled more of Ozone than clean air. Most buildings were charred with burn marks and some were consumed with fire. Almost everything of Town Square was ruined…
I felt on my knees, knowing that I probably killed Twilight Sparkle. Spike saw me and held me before I fell face-down.
“I destroyed everything,” I said in a cracked voice while lowering my gaze to the ground. “I probably killed Twilight.”
Spike didn't reply right away. “I know where she lives. Let's see if she - ” he was cut short as we all heard a loud, metallic clank nearby.
We moved to a hunk of charred, grey metal and saw the huge metal dragon barely alive. The metallic dragon seemed to try to move but it couldn't.
“You didn't win,” the now charred, grey metal dragon said in a raspy voice.
“We destroyed your entire fleet of dragons. How can we not win?” Silvre said venomously.
“Izm fra vizal **,” the dragon said in Dra’Voltn.
“Vizal dreik xun comull. Di izm fra vizal rewem Teqanrus terra. Di rii fä!***,” I spat.
The metal dragon's red eyes were full of hatred and it snarled at us before coughing up blood.
“You all lost,” he said as soon as he exhaled his last breath, signaling that he died. Suddenly, a beep was heard. Another one was heard and was picking up speed slowly.
“What's that?” Spike asked.
The beeping became faster and faster. My eyes widened as I realized what it was.
“Run!” I yelled and ran as well as the others behind me did as the beeping increased even more until…
BOOM!
An explosion happened. All of us fell face-down from the blast. Pieces of debris fell from the sky, some were even on fire! Spike tried to put a force field around us but he couldn't due to his lack of strength. A piece of blazing metal fell in front of me. I stood up and tried to help everydragon to their feet. Another piece of metal hit right on Sapphire's left side and she yelped.
“Spike, set up your force field,” I commanded to Spike.
“I can't. I don't have enough energy or strength,” he replied.
I ran to him while I dodged the metal debris. I put my claw on his shoulder and gave him energy. My turquoise aura seeped through his body. Soon I stopped giving him energy and he set up a green force field around us. He did it just in time before a huge piece of metal hit the field. Spike winced as huge metal pieces of debris hit his field.
The debris stopped falling. Spike stopped using his spell and sighed.
“Let's get Twilight,” Spike said hesitantly. “Hopefully, she stayed in the library.”
Spike started to walk away until I stopped him. That's when I noticed he had a huge gash on his back.
“Hold on, you're injured,” I said. “Aren't you in pain?”
“…I'm fine,” he said in a monotone voice.
Razre nudged me on the side. I looked at him and he shook his head, alerting me that I shouldn't bother him.
“Okay,” I replied softly.
Sapphire started coughing. Soon she coughed up blood.
“Are you okay Sapphire?” Razre and I asked in unison. We then both looked at each other.
“No. The metal piece hit my side and now it hurts a lot. I probably never should have taken it out,” the dragoness said.
“May I take a look at where it hit you?”
She turned around to her left side and I saw a deep gash that was oozing with blood. The metal debris was very sharp considering that it broke through all the dragoness' scale layers.
“I can't heal you, probably Spike can.”
Spike heard me and replied that he couldn't.
“We must take you to Twilight. She'll know what to do. Can you breathe alright?” Spike asked.
“It's getting harder to breathe,” she replied softly.
“The metal debris must've hit her left lung. I can't fix interior injuries,” said Spike defeatedly.
“Come on,” I said. “Let's get to Twilight's and see if she can help us.”
[Spike's Point of View]
I led them through the town to a plaza that had a huge tree in the center.
I got the doors and tried to twist on the knob but it wouldn't budge. I knocked on the door and see if Twilight would answer. After I knocked three times in a row, I decided to call out.
“Anypony home?” I yelled.
No reply.
“Come on Spike,” Razre said. “She probably isn't home.”
“I'll check one more time,” I said as I summoned General Ignus' sword for the second time. I looked at the sword and then the lock.
Breakable.
I swung my sword with all my might and prepared to hit the lock. At the same moment, the door opened and revealed a lavender mare with a purple and pink mane. I stopped my sword in mid-swing, the blade just inches away from the Alicorn's muzzle. I was frozen in place as she stared at me with a glare.
“Oh, hi Twilight! It isn't what you think it is… uh… nice weather we're having huh?” I stammered nervously as Twilight glared at me more.
Crap. Things are already starting to go bad…

Vision [Gore]
Chapter 7
“Vision [Gore]”
[Spike's Point of View]
“Spike, where have you been!?”
Twilight screamed at me.
“Do you have ANY idea how worried sick I was?”
Again, I shifted my gaze towards the floor sheepishly.
“Well, you see - ”
“What are you up to Spike?” the lavender alicorn mare asked me sternly.
“Well,” I began. “Do you remember dragons attacking me for no reason?”
She thought about it. “Yes,” she replied. “What about it?”
“I was about to captured but then a dragon saved me.”
Her expression softened. “Thank Celestia you're okay.”
Silvre Lightning tapped me on the shoulder. “Sapphire's coughing up blood,” he whispered. My eyes widened. “Where is she and the rest?” I whispered back. “On top of this tree, hidden from sight,” he replied.
“Twilight, could you heal one of my friends?” I asked.
“Who in particular?”
“A dragon.”
“What's wrong?” the Alicorn asked worriedly.
“She's coughing up blood from a wound that she received from metal debris,” I replied.
“Where's the dragon?”
“On top of the library.”
“What?” Twilight deadpanned.
“Just… can you heal her?”
“I don't know but I'll try.”
I snapped my fingers and Sapphire and the rest of the other dragons were teleported to the inside of the library. The cobalt dragoness was lying on the couch, clutching her left side and breathing heavily.
“Wha…? Were am I?” Sapphire asked in a ragged voice.
“Don't overexert yourself Sapphire,” I said.
She coughed up more blood. “Why… not?” she was wheezing by now.
“You can't breathe right. You'll die from the lack of oxygen.”
Twilight saw Sapphire grabbing her left side very tightly. “Are you injured right there?” she asked while pointing her hoof at the bloody spot.
The dragoness simply nodded. Sapphire let go of her left side and both Twilight and I saw a deep gash. The wound was leaking out a small stream of blood and was starting to swell up.
“This is bad,” Twilight mumbled as she examined Sapphire's wound.
She cast a spell over Sapphire to allow her to see the dragoness' insides. What she saw caused her to grimace. She saw that her left lung was busted and it was causing her to cough up blood.
“Your left lung has a hole. The metal shard must have been very sharp to pierce through your scales,” Twilight explained.
Sapphire whimpered, fearing that she may die from blood loss.
“Is there anything you can do Twilight?” I asked.
“Like I said before, I don't really know. I could try casting the interior injury spell but I don't know if it will work. Plus, she's resistant to magic like any other dragon,” Twilight said worriedly.
“Please try,” I begged.
The lavender Alicorn nodded. “But first, I'll need to cast a drowsiness spell on her so that she won't feel any pain.”
I looked at Sapphire and she looked back at me with a hurt expression on her face. I nodded at Twilight to continue.
Twilight tried to cast the spell on Sapphire but she couldn't cast the spell on the dragoness.
“I can't use the spell on her,” Twilight responded defeatedly.
“Here,” I put my claw on Twilight's shoulder. “I'll transfer energy.” Twilight once again tried to cast the spell while I transferred my energy to her.
Sapphire started to get drowsy and she was closing her eyelids slowly. “Sapphire, count from one and don't stop,” I told the cerulean dragoness.
“1,” she began.
“2, 3, 4, 5… 6.”
Her counting was slowing down, meaning that the spell was taking effect.
“7… 8… 9…… 10.”
She was getting slower and slower until…
“11…… 12……… 13……… 14,” she stopped counting.
I slapped her on the face. No reaction.
“She's unconscious,” I told Twilight. “What now?”
“I'll need to receive a little more of your energy and then I can fix her left lung,” the Alicorn replied.
I put my claw on Twilight's shoulder, again and I transferred my energy to her so that she could perform her spell. I saw Twilight surround Sapphire in her lavender aura and then the aura changed to blue. Sapphire's body started to glow and suddenly, a bright light started to diminish. The spell was successfully done.
Twilight was sweating and so was I. My energy was taken away and I felt like I was going to pass out any minute. I checked Sapphire's left side to see if she was bleeding. Not a scar or any bleeding. I checked Sapphire's breathing as well and found out she was breathing regularly.
I looked at the other drakes and they stared back at me. “Why are you all looking at me like that?” I asked.
“It's just that…” Razre stuttered.
“I have performed advanced magic. Yeah I know. Cool ain't it?” I finished.
Razre just shook his head while Silvre simply smiled.
“I gotta go to sleep,” I announced out loud and I started to walk towards my room that was built into the stairs. I then stopped. Where were the other dragons going to spend the night?
“Twilight, we might need to make more beds,” I said flatly.
Twilight, on the other hoof, was still inspecting Sapphire's features just in case she did something wrong.
“Huh? Oh yeah,” she replied sheepishly before lighting up her horn and making three new beds. She put them close to my room's door, hopefully, I won't trip and fall.
“I'll be in my room if any of you need me or Spike. I need to finish my assignments,” and with that, Twilight teleported into her room.
Razre sat on a bed and lied there, feeling the softness of the bed. “Nice,” he commented before the drake dozed off. Silvre sat on his bed looking at the dragoness.
“What are you thinking of Silvre?” I asked.
He sighed. “We're going to fight many times…”
“What do you mean?” I asked curiously.
“We're supposed to go to Draconia but we would need armor and weapons to fight our way over there,” he explained. “Furthermore,” he added. “We only have four Draconic Elements. We only have Magic, Fire, Lightning and Water. To complete the Elements we must find a pure wind dragon and a pure ice dragon.”
“What if we don't find the last two elements?” I asked timidly.
He looked at me with pity. “Then we would all eventually be executed,” Silvre said in a soft, sorrowful tone.
“Our powers are not complete and that will result in our strengths to weaken, right?”
“Correct.”
I was in deep thought. If we were to travel to Draconia, we would battle most of the time. Our strengths would weaken and then we would easily be captured. We would need to find two pure ice and wind dragons that will be able to assist us on getting to our destination. I stopped my train of thought as I started to get sleepy.
I started to walk to my room until Silvre called out to me. “Where are you going Spike?” the lightning dragon asked.
I turned around to face him. “I need to study on something,” I replied in a monotone voice.
“May I ask what?” he asked quietly.
I exhaled slowly. “I'm going to try to learn the draconic language.”
“Do you mind if I help you?” he asked.
I scratched the back of my head while also trying trying to think. “Umm… sure,” I replied.
I opened the door of my room and walked inside. Once inside, I looked at my somewhat large but comfortable room. It felt really welcoming and inviting to me. I walked to my bookshelf and tried to find the book that explained about the draconic language. After finding the book, I glanced at Silvre, who had been sitting on my bed.
I held out the book for him to see. “Found it,” I announced quietly.
“Okay,” he said a bit wearily. “Let's start.”
I flipped to the first page and saw draconic hieroglyphics. I looked at the first glyph, wondering what it meant.
“Let's start with the basics,” he announced. “The alphabet of Dra’Voltn is fairly simple but there are a few parts where you may not understand what I'm trying to teach you.”
I nodded.
“Okay then, let's begin!”
It was past way past midnight. My eyes started to droop from the lack of sleep. Silvre was still teaching me on Dra’Voltn after four hours and I tried to stay awake.
“Okay, your draconic name is ‘Shphiekei ,’” he taught me. “Do you know what MY name in Dra’Voltn is?”
I thought for a second, gathering my thoughts about what I learned from the past four hours.
“It's… uhh.”
I tried to focus and attempted to translate Silvre's name in Dra’Voltn.
“It's… ‘Shiernei .’”
The silver scaled drake with golden spikes chuckled lightly at my attempt.
“Not quite Spike,” he said. “It's ‘Shiernfnhnei .’ You forgot the ‘r’ and ‘v’ in my name.”
“Well, it's kinda hard to learn another alphabet in four hours,” I yawned.
“True,” Silvre replied softly.
I started to get even more sleepy and I closed my eyes.
“Let's go to sleep, you need it,” he said chuckling to himself lightly.
“Yeah, sleep sounds good,” I said as another yawn escaped my maw.
I lied down on my bed and curled up into a spiral. I looked at the silver scaled dragon leave.
“Goodnight Silvre,” I mumbled softly.
“Goodnight Spike. Hneishtn ,” he replied back softly as he close the door and I went to a deep slumber.
[In Spike's Dream]
The sky was orange and dark clouds covered the heavens. Meteorites were falling as far as my vision could see and the town lay in ruins… but why?
I looked around and saw many ponies fleeing from the ruins of Ponyville. I was going to visit the town until I saw a meteorite that was going to fall onto a young, dark cerulean pegasus pony with a azure mane. I instinctively put a green force field and a barrier of diamonds around the field. The meteorite impacted with my barrier and field. A huge explosion occurred, chunks of stone flew in every direction. If it weren't for my claws on my feet, I would have been thrown back a good distance.
I subsided my spells and looked at the little pegasus. The little creature was terrified at what happened so fast. “What was that?” the pony asked in a high quivering voice, indicating that the pegasus was a filly.
“A meteorite was about to fall on you and I put a protective field around you,” I replied softly. “Are you okay?”
“Yes and thank you for saving my life!” the filly happily exclaimed with a beaming smile.
“No problem. What's your name little one?”
She looked at me with her violet eyes before responding, “Darkstar Crescent.”
“Well, Darkstar, what happened to Ponyville?”
Her beautiful eyes began to swell up with tears. “Those flying rocks have started falling from the sky. I don't know what's happening and…” she sobbed.
My heart sunk. Something terrible happened to her or someone she cared.
“There, there. Everything is alright,” I coaxed to the filly. I pulled her into my chest and she cried harder. After what felt like five minutes, her cries subsided.
She looked up at me with a sad expression. “Can you help me find my parents?”
I looked at Ponyville, still burning. “Sure,” I replied hesitantly.
She leaped and started running into Ponyville. “Come on!” she called out to me.
I had to fly to catch up to her. While I was flying, I heard a faint flapping sound. I ignored it and kept focusing on catching up to the filly but it still kept getting louder until I heard a baritone voice call out to me.
“Spike!”
I turned my head slightly to the left and saw nothing. I turned my head to the right and saw a silhouette of a dragon.
“Razre?”
The dragon breathed out red flames. “The one and only,” he smiled at me.
“Good to see you. What happened to Ponyville?”
“Well, it appears a dragon of high rank and power has come here to destroy you. I flew almost all of the town to find you but no luck until right now,” he explained. “Where were you anyways?” he asked.
“A filly by the name of Darkstar was about to be crushed by a meteorite. I am following her to help find her parents,” I replied.
“You have to kill that dragon before it kills any more ponies.”
“I can't,” I simply said.
“Why not?”
“I have to help the filly find her parents.”
“I'll take care of it, now can you go?”
I sighed. “Fine,” I replied coolly.
The filly stopped running and stared at a building, which I believed was her house.
“My… what? H-how? B-but…” Darkstar stuttered.
“Darkstar, I have to go. Razre will help you,” and with that, I left. I flew high into the air and tried to locate anything that could have caused the destruction of Ponyville.
Thunder was heard. I saw lightning hit something green in the distance. I descended to the ground to see what was happening. Suddenly, a cobalt blur hits me hard on the stomach and I crash into a nearby wall, cracks forming as I impacted.
“Who are you?” I heard the feminine voice of a dragoness snarl at me.
“I'm Spike,” I managed to choke out. I felt her grip loosen and I coughed.
“I'm sorry,” she said. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, a little bit dazed but I'll be fine.”
I took a good look at the dragoness. Sleek, slender body, three horns adorning her head, cerulean, sparkling eyes, wings, webbed feet and violet spikes.
I knew one dragoness that had all those characteristics and features…
“Sapphire?”
She looked at me in the eye.
“Yes?”
“Why did you attack me?”
She lowered her head in embarrassment. “I… I thought you were one of the other dragons,” she replied.
“Other dragons?” I asked.
“There is a dragon that is trying to kill you,” she said.
“Where's the dragon?”
“Well, umm…”
“Sapphire, where is the dragon?” I asked again in an irritated tone.
She sighed. “At the center of Ponyville.”
“Thank you.”
I turned, my back facing her and I flew to find the threat. I heard a roar through the darkness and smoke. Suddenly, I cried out in pain as a large, sharp draconic spike pierced through my right wing, blood flying everywhere.
I started to fall while losing control of my flying. I was doing many barrel-rolls and I soon got dizzy. I wasn't lucky and hit the earth, making a somewhat medium sized crater. I heard laughter behind my back and I tried to get up. I was soon enveloped by a dragon's tail around my waist and I was hoisted up to meet the dragon's face.
I faced… Silvre? It looked like him. Only taller and more older.
“Silvre?”
The dragon looked at me with a cruel glare. He roared with rage and gave me powerful blow to my face. I shook off my head and snarled at the dragon. “Who are you!?”
The dragon simply smiled cruelly. “I'm Ephixüs, the Hybrid of all draconic races! I will destroy you for making the prophecy a reality!”
I got thrown into the ground, making a crater that was 24 feet in diameter. I looked at the dragon that was slowly approaching and saw that he was much taller than Silvre and I combined! I estimated that he was about 60 feet tall, probably more.
I saw lightning hit a nearby tree, burning it immediately to ashes. Suddenly, a flash of lightning struck Ephixüs, only dazing him. The Hybrid dragon roared in rage.
“Show yourself, Shiernfnhneioish !”
A flash of lightning hit a rock and revealed Silvre with his wings flared out and a lightning bolt that was about 6 feet long. “I'm right here Ephixüs,” he said coolly.
“We meet again son,” Ephixüs said to Silvre.
I was shocked to find out Ephixüs was Silvre's dad. No wonder he looked a lot like Silvre!
“Silvre, he's your… DAD!?”
Silvre stiffened for a second before exhaling. Ephixüs laughed. “You haven't told your friend about me?”
“No I haven't and I don't plan to,” he replied venomously.
“How dare you disrespect me!” Ephixüs snarled. He blasted ice on us but unfortunately, I made a diamond wall emerge from the ground and barricade Ephixüs’ attacks. He easily destroyed it by smashing his claw on my wall. The diamonds shattered to nothing and we both flew in different directions.
Silvre's lightning javelin flew in the air and fell into the dirt. The silver drake shook his head, ran and tried to get his javelin back. Unfortunately, Ephixüs knew what his son was doing and zapped him with his electricity. Silvre sprawled on the floor, burnt on one side and limp.
Suddenly, I heard Silvre's voice inside my head…
You need to inject my electric bolt into Ephixüs…
I looked over at Silvre, who was crawling to get his bolt. Ephixüs was slowly advancing towards him, totally ignoring me as if I weren't here. My instincts took over and I dashed to grab Silvre's lightning bolt. Ephixüs swung his right claw at me in blinding speed but somehow, I managed to jump and spin at the right time. I got the bolt in my claws and I was about to launch it until I felt unbearable pain go through my chest. I looked down to see Ephixüs’ left claw go through me at incredible speed.
He slowly pulled his claw out of me and I collapsed on the dirt. I was laying on my side, watching the blood gush out like a waterfall in my chest. My sight and hearing became dull. The last thing I remembered was Silvre crying out my name in vain while Ephixüs laughed maniacally.
My vision then turned black…
[Spike's Point of View]
I awoke up, startled. Outside, the sun was casting its first rays of sunlight into the night sky. Within a few minutes, the sky would have a cobalt hue. I sighed in relief as I thanked Celestia for still being alive.
My mind kept thinking about my dream. I had died there and Silvre was holding a lightning bolt javelin that was about six feet. Was it a vision?
I heard a creak nearby. I slowly opened my door and I saw Silvre's face close to my door.
“What in Tartarus are you doing?” I asked flatly.
He started slowly back away until he stumbled and fell over. I merely faceclawed. The silver dragon stood again and looked over at me. I raised an eyebrow at him. “Uh… nice morning, huh?” He said.
I rolled my eyes. “You still haven't answered my question Silvre.”
The silver drake shifted uncomfortably for a second. “I was at your door… because…” he exhaled for along time.
He cursed in Dra’Voltn. “Khaikana Ietn . Spike, I was at your door because I had a dream in where you got killed by Ephixüs. I wanted to ask you if you were awake, though, I don't think I need to ask anymore…”
“I also had a dream… more like a vision of me fighting your father,” I said.
“My father?” he asked with curiosity. “You fought with Hnaiei Fnuihntneixih , Ray Vørtex?”
I got confused. “Is your father Ephixüs?” I asked.
He thought about it. His expression changed from confusion to uncertainty. “No,” Silvre replied. “My father is Ray Vørtex.”
I frowned. This vision made no sense. What did it mean? Was I going to die? Was this in the future? How could I prevent it? My mind was filled with many questions.
“In my vision,” Silvre began. “I saw this town in flames. Meteors hit from the skies and I saw no one around me. Then I saw you in the distance, confronting a colossal dragon. I appeared at the right moment with you and we fought the dragon. Unfortunately, you died by Ephixüs stabbing you with his claw. I tried to yell at you to throw the bolt but you fell on your side and you closed your eyes. I knew then that you had died.”
I sighed. “I… also had the same vision,” I confessed.
“But what does it mean?” Silvre asked.
“I don't know. I have no idea if this is going to happen or not,” I replied.
Silvre paced around my room, his tail swaying as he paced and thought. “We have to prevent this.”
“How?”
He thought some more until he snapped his claws. He had an idea. “My trainer can help us!” he exclaimed. “He can tell us if the vision will happen or not. He can also help you find out who your parents are.”
I was satisfied with the idea. It was worth a try. “That's good but where does your ‘trainer’ live?” I asked.
He grinned. “He lives in Drâköto.”
“And where would that be located?”
“It isn't. The only way to visit the city is through flight in the highest parts of Equestria.”
“We would have to FLY there?”
“Yes, why do you ask?”
I shifted from foot to foot uncomfortably. “Well you see… the higher we go into the atmosphere, the less oxygen we have to breathe. The less oxygen, the more risk of dying from air or burning up,” I concluded.
He simply chuckled. “May I remind you that Drâköto is ONLY for dragons? You won't burn up, we're fire resistant and Drâköto is surrounded by a magical field of oxygen and other gases,” Silvre assured. “There is nothing to worry about.”
I relaxed a little. “When do we go?” I asked.
“Right now,” the silver drake said. “It's best if we go right now than later.”
I nodded in confirmation. “Let's go,” I said. “Lead the way, Silvre.” We exited my room and reached the library's front door. We went outside and went into the cool morning. Ponyville wasn't awake at this hour, it was still around five in the morning.
I breathed in the cool, fresh morning air and smiled. I relaxed as Silvre and I walked through Ponyville's deserted roads. We reached the outskirts of Ponyville and saw ahead of us green, rolling hills.
Me and Silvre soon heard a flapping sound as we walked on the hills and plains. We ignored it but it seemed that it kept getting louder and louder until…
“UUUMMPPPHHH!”
Silvre and I got pinned to a huge boulder by two silhouettes. I tried to struggle but every time I did, the silhouette's grip tightened.
“Do not harm us. We mean you no harm,” a feminine voice silkily said to me.
“Release me,” I requested calmly.
“Certainly,” she released me. The sun now shinned behind her from over a hill. I soon saw that the silhouette was a dragoness! She had light blue and sleek black scales with white spines.
The most odd thing that I noticed about the dragoness, was that her wings were different from mine. While mine were leathery, her wings had shiny, polished, light blue crystals in them. The light of the sun bounced off her crystals, making the light break off into any different colors. I guessed that her element represented Ice. She also had rose colored eyes that seemed to have warmness and comfort to them. She was also slender and curvy, making her attractive, which was something that would make any male dragon fight to claim her.
“You're an Ice dragoness…” I said without thinking.
“Of course I am. I assume you are a magical dragon, correct?” the dragoness said.
“I am Spike, element bearer of Magic,” I replied.
“It is nice to meet you Spike! I'm Arya Krystal, element of Ice,” Arya said.
“Nice to meet you too but,” I looked at Silvre, who was still pinned by another dragoness. “Why did you press us against a huge rock?”
“Fayfel, release him,” the other dragoness did what Arya told her to do. “We suspected that you were ‘The Great Dragon’ of the prophecy,” she said in a serious tone.
“What makes you think that?”
Arya stepped closer to me. Before I could ask what she was doing, the dragoness pressed her index claw on my forehead. Instantaneously, I saw a vision of a much older version of myself standing amidst a deserted wasteland. I was dressed in full obsidian armor with an emblem of an “S” in my chestplate. I also had a platinum crown on top of my head with many gems and inscriptions in it and a platinum scepter that I held in my claws. In the distance, I saw dragons of all colors, sizes and features all looking at the older me and wearing the same obsidian armor and “S” inscription. Suddenly, the older me finally spoke up.
“My fellow dragons and dragonesses,” he started in a very booming, baritone voice. “It is time to end the tyranny of Draconia and to restore the harmony to these barren lands.”
The other dragons roared in agreement.
“Then let's destroy our pursuer,” he concluded.
The scene shifted from a crowd of dragons to a battle scene. Many dragons laid dead. Blood soaked the ground and bones were exposed to the air. The older me fought three different dragons at once. One dragon was approaching him with a sword in its claw. The older me simply pointed his palm at him and he instantly died from being frozen while battling the other three dragons.
The scene shifted again and I saw my older self trying to defeat Ephixüs, the tyrant of Draconia, in a throne room filled with gems and precious metals. The older me finally defeated him as he sent a dark fireball filled with dark magic at incredible speed at Ephixüs chest. The black fireball burned right though his armor and scales, leaving a hole in his body. His mouth dripped with blood as the tyrant of Draconia slowly died from the severe attack.
Slowly, the vision faded and I came back to reality. I saw Arya's index claw retract from my forehead.
“You are the one the prophecy speaks of,” she said softly.
I remained silent.
She exhaled. “Do you know who your parents are?”
“No,” I replied.
“You know,” Silvre spoke up. “We were going to where my trainer lives in Drâköto.”
“Is he Kaaixih-iekarnieoish ?”
“Maximillius? Yes.”
“Ask him for the blood-line dates, they should be able to help Spike.”
“What's the ‘Blood-line Dates,’” I asked.
“Long story short,” Fayfel spoke up for the first time. “It will tell you who your parents are. Your brothers and sisters will also be told.”
I exchanged glances with Silvre. “Where do we go to Drâköto?” I asked.
“We'll lead you there. Come on every-dragon,” Arya said as she started to leave.
I began walking alongside Silvre towards the dragonesses. The sun was setting and it would soon be night. As the night finally took over the day, we stopped in front of a waterfall. Evergreen plants and trees were in plain sight. The water reflected a silvery color due to the moon's reflection on the water. We slept in an empty cave that was hidden behind the waterfall. As soon as I laid down on the cool surface of the cave, I slowly drifted into slumber.
Chapter 8
“Blood Ties”
[Silvre's Point of View]
It was about midday until we found a place that had a huge pond in the center, some trees, rocks and sand.
“This is the place,” I announced out loud. “To get to Drâköto, we need to bend time and space.”
“How do we do that?” Spike asked with curiosity.
“You will have to use raw energy,” I explained. “The pond is not like any other. It can be used as a portal to go to Drâköto.”
Spike bit his lower lip. “I'll try,” he said. He stepped toward the edge of the pond and exhaled. His claw glowed green and then a ray of energy hit the pond. The lake shimmered green for a moment before returning to its previous state.
“Did it work?” Spike asked.
“Only one way to find out,” I said. “Let's go.”
I stepped to the edge of the lake and dived in.
The portal worked. All of us were at Drâköto. The celestial city never ceased to amaze me. Dragons of all elements were present. As we walked down the crystal pathway that led to Drâköto's center, we watched a middle aged dark element dragon that was about 8 feet, learning to absorb life of a tree on the grassy plains. On the opposite side of the dark dragon, a young terra dragon that was about 3 feet, was trying to break a boulder that was about twice its size.
As we neared the celestial city, more and more dragons came into view. As we walked towards the top of a hill, the center of Drâköto came into view. The city was adorned by many gems of all types. Platinum, Gold, Silver and other metals were found here.
As we walked further down the crystal pathway, the more populated it got. In one instance, a metallic ball came bounding down a hill and stopped in front of Spike. A young fire dragon saw the ball and called out to Spike.
“Would you mind throwing our ball back?” the young fire dragon asked. Spike picked up the metal ball and gave it back to the little drake. The small fire hatchling simply smiled at him.
“Tnhainak Eiuioi !” it said before running off with its other friends to resume playing their game.
“It seems like someone thanked you,” I said.
“Yeah,” Spike replied softly.
About fifteen minutes passed before we reached a huge cave that was carved inside the cliff. The outside of the cave was adorned with pillars that had draconic hieroglyphics and that stood up at about 16 feet in the air.
On the top of the cave, there was a gold plate that had more draconic hieroglyphics.
“Maximillius Anakluzmøs,” Spike read the foreign inscription.
“Yep. This is my trainer's home,” I said as I started to walk inside. I stopped at the entrance of the cave and asked if Arya and Fayfel could go somewhere else. They agreed and flew off in another direction, leaving Spike standing by himself.
“Aren't you coming with me?” I asked.
Spike nodded and followed me inside the cave.
The inside of the cave was dark. It seemed as if it were abandoned. Soon, a rumbling sound was heard by me and Spike.
“What was that?” Spike asked in a scared voice.
“Don't worry,” I replied nonchalantly.
“Vhhui khaihneish tnui einatneihn kaei khuikaaiiena ?” a deep, baritone voice said.
“Kaei tnhnaiienaeihn ,” I replied back. “Ie aika Shiernfnhn-eioish .”
“And I believe the dragon beside you can be trusted to keep information?” the voice asked.
“Yes.”
“Excellent. What is your name, young one?”
“My n-name is S-Spike,” the magical dragon said timidly.
“Do not fear me, Spike,” the voice said before something shifted from the shadows, and slowly revealed itself.
The shadow moved slowly to the faint light. The dragon revealed to be at a height of 15 feet. His features were gold and dark grey scales with spikes that were jet black. His eyes were orange that seemed to glow in the darkness. One long horn was visible on the top of his head and two shorter ones in the back. His shape was that of a lean, muscular dragon.
The dragon towered over Spike and me, making us feel small while around him.
“Spike, I introduce you to Maximillius, my trainer,” I said. “You can call him Max, just like I do.”
Maximillius smiled warmly while also exposing his large canine fangs. “It is nice to meet you.”
I nodded and smiled nervously.
“Shiernfnhn-eioish , why did come here?” Max asked curiously.
“We came here to see if you could help us with our dreams that we had.”
“Certainly. What kind of dreams were you having?”
“Well, I remember some of it but I saw myself trying to fight a dragon that was probably three times my size. He looked a lot like me and all I remember is going unconscious as I got hit by a powerful blow by the massive dragon,” I concluded.
“That's not all of it,” Spike spoke up.
Max rose a scaly eyebrow at him. “Please, do tell.”
“In my dream,” he started. “A pony village was burning and asteroids were falling from the sky. A young filly was about to he crushed by meteorite that was directed towards her. My reflexes took over and I put a protective field around her. As the meteorite hit my field, an explosion occured and I held my ground. Afterwards, I took the little filly to the town to search for her parents. I met one of my friends during the way and I entrusted him to find the little filly's parents.
I flew around the town to see what remained of the village until I was suddenly pierced in one of my wings and started to descend to the ground. I then met Ephixüs,” Max's jaw clenched abruptly. “He said that I made ‘The Prophecy a reality’. Silvre showed up and we both attacked him, trying to kill him. Silvre was knocked very far away while his lightning javelin sprawled on the dirt. I grabbed Silvre's javelin and was about to throw it at him until Ephixüs' claw pierced right through me. After that, my vision turned black,” he concluded with a sigh.
Max remained silent with a grim expression on his face. “Did you say Eph!xüs?” he finally asked.
“Yes.”
“You fought Draconia's tyrant?”
“What?”
Max sighed. “Silvreus, after you left Draconia, Lord Aohlus Rii’Xek was assassinated.”
“What? How?” I asked with worry.
“Ephixüs,” Max said venomously. “The Hybrid of all draconic races came into power. After they dealt with Aohlus, they enforced all dragons to obey his commands and anyone who didn't, was to be executed.”
“Then… Why isn't there a rebellion? Why isn't there dragons who want to restore everything to how it was?” Spike asked.
Max's expression changed to sadness. “There were. All the rebellions were crushed by Ephixüs' forces. More than 80,000 rebel dragons were killed out of the 3 million dragons that inhabit Draconia.”
I felt as if somedragon had put me weights. I felt dread, sadness, anger and hopelessness.
“Before I leave,” I said in a shaky voice. “I want to know who are Spike's parents.”
Max exhaled. “Come with me and I'll take you to the Bloodlines.”
[Spike's Point of View]
Max directed us to a hallway that had many rooms. Then after passing 20 or so rooms, we went inside a medium sized room with a fountain in the center.
“Spike,” Maximillius said. “This is no ordinary fountain. This is the Bloodline, a fountain that reveals your ancestors and to who you are related to.”
“So, uh… How does it work?” I asked.
“A drop of blood is needed,” Max replied casually.
“What?”
“A drop of blood is needed,” Max repeated.
“What for?”
“Spike, don't que - ” Silvre was cut off by Max.
“It's alright, Silvreus. He doesn't know our customs. Spike, your blood is needed because it contains your DNA and traits. That is how the Bloodline works.”
I nodded slowly. I held out my claw. “Okay, let's drop my blood into the Bloodline.”
Silvre came closer to me. “Are you sure?”
I nodded.
“Okay but this will hurt,” he said as he made a cut on my wrist at blinding speed.
I hissed in pain. My blood spilled into the fountain and the water turned to a bright shade of green. Green mist swirled around the fountain, making it seem as if a snake was curling around the Bloodline. As the mist disappeared, some of the water started to levitate and form a floating water wall right in front of me.
The water shimmered and glowing draconic hieroglyphs showed up.
A glowing purple name appeared at the very top right of the aquatic wall. A line connected the purple hieroglyph to a gold, red and blue hieroglyphic name.
“My mother… she is - ” I was cut off by Maximillius.
“Genesis Axiak,” the golden dragon said in bewilderment. “I can't believe it… You are the descendant of the last dragon to have the Magic Element.”
“Not only that,” Silvre said. “But many dragons believe that Genesis has died.”
I looked at the chart again. I read the other names and translated them. I was shocked to find out who were my siblings.
“My brother and sister are… Razre and Sapphire?”
I looked at the aquatic wall again.
“It seems I am the eldest.” I said. “What I don't understand, is how am I the eldest, yet, look younger?”
“That is simple to answer,” Max replied. “According to the draconic numbers that appear under your name, your egg was placed into incubation way before dragons inhabited Draconia.”
“Then, that would mean Spike is over a millennia!” Silvre blurted out.
“Exactly. Spike, even though it may seem impossible to believe, you've been trapped in your egg for nearly a millennia. You are far older than the princesses of Equestria and me.”
I stared at the aquatic wall intently, as if waiting for the wall to explode.
“Are you okay, Spike?” Max asked.
I sighed. “I guess. This is already so much to take in and accept.”
“I understand my young drake,” Max said.
Then, I noticed a little line sprouting out of Genesis' name. When it stopped moving, the line shinned brightly.
“The Bloodline is not complete,” Max announced. “There is another dragon that contains the other half of the information.”
I immediately turned to Silvre.
“Spike, before you ask, there is no way I could be your brother,” the lightning drake said. “Besides, how can I be your sibling if you are over a millennia old?”
“Please? Could you do it for me?” I then used a spell to make myself look like the baby dragon I once was. I looked at Silvre with a sad face.
“Fine,” he sighed defeatedly while I grinned.
“Yes!” I exclaimed while reversing the spell. After I undid the spell, my features were teenage again.
Spike stepped close to the Bloodline and he made a cut on his wrist. He winced as his blood rolled into the fountain's waters. A white column of smoke curled around the fountain and then, a white aura surrounded the wall of water. A few seconds passed before the aura dissipated. New inscriptions were shown on the wall of water.
“What? How? This can't be right!” Silvre stammered.
“The Bloodline is never wrong,” Max said.
“This has to be false!” the lightning dragon said in a cracked voice.
I looked at the wall and I saw all of my siblings. Silvre and Razre were my brothers. Sapphire, Arya and Fayfel were my sisters... but I then realized why Silvre was so upset.
Our father… was Ephixüs, the tyrant of Draconia.

Forethoughts
Chapter 9
“Forethoughts”
[Spike's Point of View]
Silvre stood by the Bloodline, looking at his reflection. I sat beside the lightning drake, trying to come up with a way to comfort him.
“Spike,” Silvre spoke softly. “I… I don't know what to believe anymore.”
I remained silent.
“What do you think?” he asked.
I thought carefully before responding. “I think that I must accept who my parents are. It's surprising enough to believe that I am over a millennia old.”
Silence.
I turned my head to the entrance of the room. I heard claws hitting the stone floor. Maximillius came running and entered the room breathing heavily.
“Silvreus, Spike. The Prophecy,” he gasped out. “It's finally true!”
Silvre quickly stood up. “What? Are you sure?”
“I'm afraid it's true. Come on,” Max beckoned us to follow him through many hallways. I wondered how Max knew where every room was since everything was like a maze in his cave.
We were soon facing a wall. “Why are we here?” I asked.
Max ignored me and placed his claw on the surface of the wall. He then spoke in Dra’Voltn.
“Rneitn tnhei phhnuiphheiknei bhei hneifneiairneikh,” he said as a golden aura appeared from Maximillius' claw and seeped in the wall. Nothing was heard.
“Umm… what happened?” I asked. “Just be patient,” Silvre replied.
A click was heard as the stone wall shuddered. A crack was then heard as the stone wall opened by themselves.
Inside, everything was made of precious metals. Rubies, Diamonds, Sapphires, Amethysts, Onyx, Emeralds, Silver, Bronze and other gems laid in the filled chests. My mouth was watering from the delectable stones but Max snapped me out of my trance.
“Here, have this,” he gave me a fairly large emerald for me. “Thanks!” I replied before biting on the gem. He chuckled and told me to not eat the other gems. He then offered Silvre an sapphire.
“Thanks, Max but I'll pass,” the electric drake said.
After I ate my gem, I asked Max where was the prophecy.
“Right here,” he said as he pulled the manuscript out of nowhere.
“You had the prophecy with you the whole time?”
“No,” he replied nonchalantly. “I simply removed it from there,” he pointed to a statue of a chrome dragon that had its wings flared out and its maw open, as if the chrome dragon was about attack us with its fire.
“Now, the prophecy…” he said. “It can only be opened by the six main pure, primary elements.”
“That would be water, fire, wind, lightning, ice and magic,” I responded.
“That's correct, Spike. The six main primary elements are the ‘building blocks’ of every living thing,” he looked at the scroll and then back at us.
Maximillius exhaled deeply. “The Prophecy of Elek’ro is not known by every dragon. There are many rumors but they are all false. Spike, you are probably the only dragon that can reveal its secrets to dragon kind,” he passed me the scroll. “You may unfurl it when you are ready.”
I could tell from the expressions of Maximillius and Silvreus that the Prophecy of Elek’ro was sacred. I hesitated but then began to open the ancient scroll. Once I opened the scroll, words in the ancient draconic language appeared. I read the first few lines out loud…
Shiexih vhiernrn tnhnaifneirn tnui tnhei huikaei uihf uihf tnhei Knhneiaitnuihnsh…
“‘Six will travel to the home of the Creators ,’” I translated. “Any idea on what it means?”
“‘Six will travel ,’ that means that six dragons will go to the ‘Home of the Creators,’” Silvreus explained. “I believe ‘The Creators’ are the six dragons that created Gaia, the Earth.”
I nodded and read the next few lines.
…ainakh shairnrn hfienakh tnheieihn khuikaaiiena.
“‘And shall find their domain ,’” I translated.
“We must find the Creators’ symbolic territories,” Silvre said.
“What is a symbolic territory?”
“A symbolic territory is a domain that represents your element. For example, Sapphire's element is water and her territory is the sea. My element is lightning and my territory is the sky. There are some elements that share the same domain like wind and lightning,” Silvreus explained.
“Okay, so we must find all of the Creators’ domains to find some kind of ancient power, right?” I concluded.
“Basically,” Silvre stated dryly.
I read the next few lines…
Vhheihneifneihn eioioi sheieik, tnheiei aihnei aiphaihntn, bhhnienajeienaje huipheirneishshnaeishsh vhietnhiena.
“Wherever you seek, they are apart, bringing hopelessness within. ”
“‘Wherever you seek, they are apart?’ Does it mean that the Creator's domains aren't in the same area?” Silvre thought out loud. “And what does ‘Bringing hopelessness within ’ mean?”
“I don't seem to get that verse but by the name of the Knhneaitnuihnsh, I hope you are correct,” Maximillius prayed.
Silvreus signaled me to read on.
Tnhei Rnaishtn Rneijeeinakhaihnei Khhnaiknuinaieaina shairnrn knrnaiieka tnheiiehnsh uihn pheihnieshh oinarneihn tnhei Tneihnainanaei, hfuihneifneihn bhhnienajeienaje knhaiuish.
I paled. “The Last Legendary Draconian shall claim theirs or perish under the Tyranny, forever bringing chaos ,” I translated for the final time.
The room was silent until Silvreus broke the tension.
“As far as I know, there is no ‘Legendary Draconian .’ Even if there was, how would they bring eternal chaos?”
“Wait,” Maximillius muttered. “Last Legendary Draconian… Ephixüs… Tyranny… eternal chaos… Oh no!” he said while he looked at me.
“What?” Silvreus and I asked Max.
“Spike, YOU might be the Last Legendary Dragon destined to defeat the Tyrant of Draconia. If you fail, you will plunge all of Draconia into chaos,” he said gravely.
I stood there, staring at him. “How do you know I'm the Last Legendary Draconian?”
Max shook his head. “I don't, it's my theory. If my memory serves me right, the Last Legendary Draconian would be the last dragon to host the pure Element of Magic. You are currently the only dragon I know that carries the Element. I have one object that may be able to tell us if you really are the Last Draconian.”
The golden drake walked to the wall that was behind me and touched different places of it. Every time he tapped the surface of the wall, golden inscriptions of the draconic hieroglyphics, appeared on the quartz wall.
After what seemed for about three minutes, the walls shook and moved apart. Max stepped inside and came back a few seconds later holding an obsidian breastplate that had six orbs engraved into them around an empty large circle.
“This armor,” he said as he showed me the obsidian breastplate. “I have not given it to many generations. It is called ‘Xihrnrnoish ,’ or Xillus . This is not your typical draconic armor. This suit carries powerful magic that only the user can unleash. Beware, it may be powerful but it does not mean that any dragon can wear it. If the the armor accepts you, the armor will give you it's powers and become a part of you, however, if it doesn't, you will slowly disintegrate to nothing,” he said gravely.
I looked at the breastplate. The piece of armor was glinting from the light of the torches.
I shouldn't do this. It could kill me but if I don't, all of Draconia will suffer from Ephixüs’ chaotic reign…
I looked at Silvre and he looked at me. “Don't do it, Spike,” he said softly. I frowned. “I don't want to lose you.”
I sighed. “Silvre… I have to. If I don't, all of Draconia will suffer from Ephixüs’ reign and I don't want that to happen. This is for the best.”
“No, it isn't,” he said, his voice quivering. “We can fight Ephixüs with our other Elements.”
“I already made a choice…” I grabbed the armor from Max's claws and held it in my paws.
I looked back at Silvre, who had a sad look on his face. “Then I wish you good luck. May the Creators be with you, brother.”
I hesitated into putting on the breastplate. I put it around my shoulders and suddenly, the locks of the armor quickly shut themselves tight. Suddenly, I felt as if I had many thorns. The pain was getting to the point where it was unbearable. I dropped to my knees and then to the floor.
“Spike!” Silvreus yelled and ran to help me, only to be stopped by Maximillius. “No, Silvreus. The formation is almost complete.”
I saw my arm's scales start to slowly change from purple to a jet black. The pain soon subsided to nothing…
“Spike, are you okay?” Max asked.
I opened my eyes and saw everything more clearer, shaper and in more detail. I stood up and felt myself be lighter, agile and with more energy.
Max and Silvre backed up. “Spike, are you okay?” Max repeated with a slight hint of fear.
“Yes,” I replied in a very deep, rich baritone voice that didn't belong to me.
“Do you remember who your siblings are?”
“They are Razrike Firestorm, Sapphire Whirlwater, Ayra Krystal, Fayfel Argon and Silvreus Litebolt,” I replied instantly while also wondering how I knew their full names.
“Do you remember who you are?” Max asked.
Instantly, flashbacks and memories of my past came to my mind in a flash, sharper and in full detail than before. “I am Spike Daxul, the Last Draconian to bear the Pure Element of Magic.”
Then, a light came out of the large, blank orb. It shined out white before a green lightning bolt appeared in it.
“A green lightning bolt? What does that mean?” I asked.
“That is not a green lightning bolt. It is a green ‘S’, implying that it is your permanent initial and emblem,” Max said. “Other than that, you took some new features.”
I raised a brow at that. I then summoned a large mirror and saw my reflection. I saw that almost all of my scales were black, except for my stomach, which was dark green scales. My spines were dark green as well but what really caught my attention, were my wings. They were black scaled with scales that were pointed very sharply at the edges, making it seem as if I had daggers at the edges of my wings. The appendages of my wings amazed me the most. Instead of having green scales as my appendages, I had dark, black smoke, making it seem as if I had a part of the galaxy in my wings.
My new features didn't stop there. I had golden eyes that were more slitted than before, sharper and longer claws, more spines and spikes on my tail and more body toned.
“Impressive,” I muttered. “What else can I do with this?”
“You can do almost anything with the Xillus armor as long as you use your Element,” the golden drake said.
“What do you mean by ‘As long as you use your Element ?’”
“It means that as long you use your Element of Magic, you will be fine. You'll probably master the other Elements later on.”
“I have other Elements?” I asked, bewildered.
“Yes, child but you cannot use them. The only way to use them is for a dragon with that Element to give you its powers and give you full access to that Element. If the dragon does not accept to give up its powers to you and you use that Element, you will most likely suffer from immediate energy drainage. If you still continue to use that Element, you will most likely die,” Max stated.
I nodded and made a mental note to remind that. “Anything else that I can do?”
“Well,” Max said while rubbing his chin with his claw in thought. “I can think of two more abilities that you can do.”
“What are they?” I asked eagerly.
“You may be a bit better in combat and you might be able to transform to some living organisms under some circumstances.”
“Be better in combat and can transform? I want to test that. Silvre, throw me a javelin or something,” I said, challenging myself to test my limits.
Silvre looked at his trainer and he nodded in approval. He summoned a small lightning bolt and hurled it at me.
Time seemed to slow down as I kept my focus on the bolt. I saw it slowly move towards me and I simply sidestepped at the last second. Once the bolt passed by me, time became normal.
“Just one bolt? Come on Silvre, I know you can do better,” I said while making a smug expression.
Silvreus grinned deviously. The silver drake created three glowing spheres of charged electricity that radiated lightning around them, thus, making the air sizzle and hiss with charged ozone. Suddenly, six lightning bolts shot out of one of the glowing spheres. Time once again slowed down and calculated where they were going to hit. The first bolt was deflected with my magical shield. The second and third bolt I had to side-flip to the left to successfully dodge the last two.
“Alright,” he said with a wry smile. “Let's see how you handle this!”
He threw the electric charged spheres at me while he also summoned many six feet long electric javelins. As they headed towards me, my instincts kicked in. The first three electric javelins came at me and I ducked, front-flipped and dropped to the marble floor. The next eight javelins were dodged by me making a long and high backflip. The spheres were next and I destroyed each one by summoning three, sharp stygian metallic daggers. They impaled the charged spheres and exploded with an electric blast radius of five feet.
While I was thinking on what to summon next, without thinking, I accidentally made General Ignus’ sword appear.
“Well… crap.”
With a four foot sword that was held between my claws, I blocked the first three bolts. I spun the sword clockwise rapidly with my telekinesis and fired the end of the sword with my green fire. As the sword spun faster and faster, the sword became a blur of green light. The bolts hit the spinning blade and caught on the sword. Every time a bolt impacted with the sword, the sword would gain new blurs of colors. The last bolt that was directed towards me exploded violently as I threw the spinning sword at the last bolt.
“Well… there goes my only sword I ever had,” I mumbled under my breath.
“Spike, that was incredible! How did you manage to dodge all of my attacks?” Silvre asked bewildered.
I nonchalantly shrugged.
Without warning, my scales turned back to purple and green. I felt as if my whole body had carried an adult sized dragon on my shoulders.
“Hmm… it reverted back to your previous state,” Max said.
Before I could say anything, a red hue of smoke appeared from nowhere to form a scroll. As I read its contents, I began to worry…
Spike,
Ponyville was invaded by dragons under the command of General Zodd. They took Sapphire and me as captives. I do not know of your friend, Twilight's whereabouts. By the time you read this manuscript, we will be imprisoned in a city in Draconia called Kieás.
- Razrike Firestorm
Element of Pure Fire
“What does the scroll say, Spike?” Maximillius asked.
“My friends are imprisoned.”
Chapter 10
“Ilusions [Gore]”
[Spike's Point of View]
Finding Arya and Fayfel wasn't easy. Getting from the celestial city to the ground below was even more difficult. Creating portals from the celestial city to somewhere in Equestria took time. As soon as Silvreus, Maximillius, Arya, Fayfel and I passed through a dark portal, we ended up inside a cave that was located near Appleloosa.
The little village was off to the distance but the border of the so-called “Badlands” was close to us.
“Come on, we must cross the Equestrian border to reach Draconia,” Silvreus said.
As we walked towards the Equestrian border, the ground started to become less fertile. Less weeds were seen and more barren ground was visible. We reached the border of Draconia and Equestria in thirty minutes or so. The two drakes and two dragonesses walked on past me but I stayed where I remained.
“Aren't you coming, Spike?” Max asked.
I looked back to Equestria and saw Canterlot as a minute dot in the distance. I was leaving Equestria, my home.
“You're not leaving Equestria, right?” Max asked.
“It's hard…” I said. “It hurts to know that you're leaving your friends and family behind.”
I felt Silvre's paw touch my shoulder. “I know how you feel. You are not the only one,” Silvre reassured me.
I nodded. I thought for a few moments and finally came to a decision.
“Come on. Let's find the other Draconic Elements!” I exclaimed.
“Then let's go find them!” Max said with a small smile.
[Razre's Point of View]
I felt tired and hurt. I had many cuts and bruises on my scales. I didn't know where I was. I tried to stand up but I couldn't. I then tried to move my arms and soon found out that I couldn't. I then groaned in frustration.
The room was lit by small torches on the dark walls. I lit my wings on fire and the room brightened more. I saw that the walls around me were a purplish, black in color, which meant that the walls were made of obsidian. I was trapped. There was no door, not even a crack on the walls. I was encased inside an obsidian cube prison.
The next thing I saw was that there was another dragon with me. What I DIDN'T like about the dragon was the fact that the dragon was a blue colored dragoness, which kind of made me uneasy since I was the only male drake in the obsidian prison. Sapphire was chained the same way I was.
I rested my head on the cool surface of the dark colored walls and tried to think on how I ended up right here. As I continued to focus, memories flooded my mind…
Flashback
I was awoken by Sapphire. I grumbled as I had to get up from the bed.
“Razre, where is Spike?” she whispered into my frill.
“I don't know,” I replied sleepily while sitting on the bed.
I looked at her. Noticing that there was a scar on the side of her. “I see that your wound has healed.”
Sapphire shrugged off my comment before asking, “Do you also know where Silvre is?”
“No,” I answered. “Is he gone as well?”
“Yes. Silvre and Spike are gone.”
Once Sapphire said that, I was awake.
“Did you check his room?”
“Yes.”
“How about the whole library?”
“I already did that.”
I groaned in frustration. Where were those two drakes?
“Come on, we need to find them.”
I then heard hooves click on the wooden floor. I turned around and saw an alicorn.
“What's going on?” she asked.
“Spike and Silvre are missing,” Sapphire said.
“What? Where are they? Are they hurt? I hope not. We have to find them. What if they got kidnapped? What if - ” she was silenced by Sapphire putting her index claw on her maw.
“Remember that they are dragons. They are both creatures that are almost invincible,” she stated.
“They probably went hunting for meat,” I stated. “They are dragons after all.”
“Yes but Spike has never eaten meat before,” Twilight pointed out. “I don't think he'll start now.”
“Spike is a dragon that is maturing. He will need to eat meat sooner or later. Gems won't satisfy his hunger much longer.”
Before Twilight could say anything, the end of a blade was embedded into the wooden bark from the outside. Judging from the color of the metal, the blade was made out of obsidian.
“Don't move,” I whispered in a low, commanding tone.
Silence.
Another obsidian blade embedded itself on the walls of the library. I looked back to Sapphire and then the alicorn. “Twilight, hide. Sapphire and I will fight them off.” She nodded and silently walked to her room.
I signaled for Sapphire to follow me and we stood close to the door of the library. “On three,” I commanded in a whisper.
“One…”
Shuffling was heard outside.
“Two…”
Something that was metal clanged against an object.
“Three!”
We burst through the door, yelling as we charged. Once we were outside… we didn't see a dragon. The town was empty.
“The hell? What's happening?” I was confused by this.
“There's no dragon here, Razre,” Sapphire bluntly stated.
“Yes there is ,” a female voice reverberated through the town.
Sapphire and I looked around. There was no dragon or pony out in the streets of Ponyville.
“You seem confused… ” the female voice spoke again.
“Who are you?” Sapphire growled. “Why are you hiding?”
“Do you not see IT?”
“See what ?”
The voice chuckled lightly. “My dear dragoness, it seems that you do not search hard enough. Here, let me show you ,” as soon as the voice concluded its sentence, my vision then became a distortion.
“You have been fooled, Elements ,” the voice said as my vision started to focus. Sapphire and I now saw thirteen dragons that surrounded us completely. We were chained on our paws and feet by obsidian shackles. Seven dragons were male and six were female. Then, after registering the scene in my mind, a thought hits me full force. We were seeing an illusion. We failed to recognize what we were seeing.
A dragoness, that had dark red scales with black spikes, stepped forward to Sapphire and me.
“So, how'd your illusion test go?” she asked nonchalantly.
I growled in response.
“Don't be mad,” she patted me on the head. “You'll be alright… if you surrender and swear loyalty to Lord Ephixüs that is,” she grinned deviously.
“I won't surrender. I won't swear loyalty to your so called Lord and I don't give a FUCK!” I shouted at her.
“Hey, watch it,” a dragon that was taller than the rest, spoke up.
“And who do you think you are to order me to respect your bitches and fuckheads?” I asked in a low, menacing tone.
All the dragons laughed while Sapphire and I glared at them. “I am General Zodd, the best commander that serves Lord Ephixüs,” he strode over to Sapphire and me. “It seems that you clearly do not know what ‘respect ’ means, right?”
Sapphire spat at him with green acid which didn't do anything to him other than piss him off.
“You,” he grabbed Sapphire's throat while lightly letting his free claw fall from Sapphire's lips to her belly. “I'll make sure to give you a great lesson that you'll never forget,” he spoke in a low tone and then rubbed her right thigh tenderly, causing the aquatic dragoness to shudder at the thought of what Zodd had for her.
“As for you Fire Drake,” he turned to me with hate. “I will make sure your death is a slow and painful one,” he slowly embedded his claws into my scales, making me hiss in pain as the blood slowly trickled down to the floor.
The very dark azure dragon with dark green spikes made everything around us distort and come into focus outside a prison for dragons. We stood in front of Zodd, now chained on our paws and feet on a wall.
I struggled to break free but the chains proved to be strong. I blasted fire on them and nothing happened. Zodd watched with amusement at my attempts. His paw glowed a dark shade of cobalt and everything became very slow. I felt as if I were trying to move through thick mud. I tried to move my paw to the chain but it would simply go too slow.
“Don't try,” Zodd grinned deviously. His aura faded and everything became normal. My paw hit my snout, causing me to scrunch my nose.
I glanced over to Sapphire and she didn't seem to have any success either. Zodd strolled to Sapphire, making her stop on what she was doing. She looked at him.
“Aren't you needed somewhere else, other than watching over us?” Sapphire asked nonchalantly.
Zodd took a step closer to her. “Maybe. Why are you concerned?” he mocked the water dragoness.
“Because I think being somewhere else other than trying to piss us off is a better way to waste your time.”
The general used his tail to slap her on the face, blood spilled from the aquatic dragoness’ snout. “Then shall be it,” he snarled. He once again lighted his paw with magic. The aura changed from a dark cobalt to a sickly black aura while his eyes changed from brown to red with purple smoke emitting from the corners of his eyes.
Suddenly, Sapphire and I felt weaker, my eyes widening as I realized what type of magic it was.
“It seems you know what kind of magic I'm using,” Zodd noticed.
“Yeah,” I responded in a raspy voice. “It's… dark magic.”
The spell was making Sapphire and me lose more energy and oxygen. Suddenly, a red blotch appeared on my right leg. Both of our mouths started to leak out blood, resulting in us to collapse.
“That's good enough,” Zodd said. “I'll leave you like that to, hopefully, die. That way, the Draconic Elements won't be complete.”
He then vanished as dark purple smoke consumed him. Once the thick smoke thinned out and became less opaque, the General was gone.
Sapphire and I were on the verge of death. As the time went on, Sapphire stopped moving and fell limp on the obsidian floor. I gathered as much energy as I could and did the only thing I could do…
Send a message to Spike.
I thought of the words in my head and then thought of Spike. I then let out a puff of red smoke and the message was delivered. After I released my last bit of energy, more blood trickled down my maw. My vision started to become more blurry and dark as I went unconscious.
Author's Note
Story changed from Teen to Mature.
Now, something I messed up on big time was that on the last chapter, I mentioned that Arya and Fayfel were captured with Razre and Sapphire. That was not true. Arya and Fayfel were somewhere in the celestial city and accompanied Spike and Silvreus. Sorry, for the mess up.
The story is coming to an end! Keep an eye out in my chapter's "Author's Notes" section for more information in the upcoming chapters.
Chapter 10
“Plans Flawed [Gore]”
[Spike's Point of View]
It was early in the morning, the sun's upper half was only visible on the eastern horizon. Trekking over the so called “Badlands ,” wasn't that bad as rumored by many ponies. The badlands consisted of barren wastelands that stretched from the Equestrian border to the first dragon inhabited mountains. Beyond that, was Draconia and fertile lands.
We reached Kieás after a three day trek through mountains, valleys and plateaus. It was a fairly, medium sized city that mostly spoke in Dra’Voltn, as stated by Maximillius. The city was located deep into the Khienect Forest. Kieás wasn't how I imagined it to be. Unlike where Maximillius’ lived, Kieás was a city where dragons resided mostly in caves and huge trees rather than in buildings. We were hiding behind a few large boulders, figuring out a way to get inside Kieás without being spotted.
“Stay low,” Max instructed. “Or else, we will be spotted and imprisoned.”
We did as we were told and stayed close to the ground. As we hid from place to place, I decided to place an invisibility spell on Silvre, the dragonesses and myself.
“Don't!” Max hissed as I was about to cast the spell. “If you cast your invisibility spell, a dragon mage hybrid may detect your spell and warn the others.”
I let my energy cease, canceling the spell that I was about to cast. Max sighed a breath of relief.
“Good. Then we - ,” then he stopped mid-sentence as he tensed up.
“Kaaijenaeitnui ,” he muttered before launching fifteen metal star shards into the air. Before Silvre or I could ask what Max was doing, one of the metallic star shards seemed to get stuck in the air and… drop blood?
After the shard hit the ground, a white dragon with blue spikes appeared on the ground next to where the shard lay.
“Invisibility,” Max simply stated. “The Wind Hybrids know of our presence in Kieás and are ‘camouflaging’ with their invisibility spells. We must find your imprisoned brother and sister before we get captured as well.”
As we ran to a hideout, the golden drake formed a metal dagger in his paws. The tip disappeared as he pointed it to the left and soon, red blood spilled to the ground. As soon as he let go of the dagger, a fallen grey Wind Dragon became visible.
“How do you know where an invisible dragon is? You're not even a mage!” I asked, amazed.
“You have to know how to use your senses in a more advanced and very detailed way,” Max began to explain. “After you have learnt that, you can begin training yourself to sense almost anything,” he grunted as he summoned a silvery liquid metal wall in front of him. Three dragons landed in it and got covered in mercury, hissing as the poisonous metal started to disintegrate their scales and burn away their flesh. Max launched three metallic tacks that penetrated the three dragons. Once the tacks impacted their targets, they exploded, sending the corpses’ blood and organs to fly everywhere.
Silvre spotted a cave not too far away and signaled us to follow him. Arya and Silvre made it to the cave's entrance first, then followed by Max and me. After we made it to the cave, we realized that we were missing one dragoness : Fayfel.
“Where's Fayfel?” I asked.
“Right here, Mage,” a soft feminine voice answered as we all turned around to see who it was. A rose scale colored dragoness with red spikes that was accompanied by other Wind Dragons had Fayfel with a glowing dagger pointed into the violet dragoness’ neck.
“Surrender and give your loyalty to Lord Ephixüs,” the rose colored dragoness said as more and more invisible Wind Dragons appeared. “However, you,” she pointed at me, “You will have to escorted to the Lord's palace. It seems that he wants a word with you.”
I saw Fayfel's determined expression and then slightly turned my gaze towards the left to see Max. He slightly nodded his head and formed a small, chrome sphere with spikes that was well hidden in his right paw.
“No,” I answered. “I won't surrender that easily,” I then created a sword out of green energy from my palm. The sword was six feet long, with the edges of the blade humming with green energy. In the center of the sword's pommel was an emerald that shined with a black inscription of an “S”.
The dragoness summoned a large silver and grey bow that gleamed in the morning sun. “I was supposed to kill you after you swore loyalty but slaying you now will eliminate one problem off my claws,” she notched a bronze arrow and aimed it at me.
We both waited to see who would land the first attack. Finally, the rose colored dragoness launched an arrow at me and I deflected it off with my blade. Max threw the spiked ball that he had formed earlier with so much force, that the sphere went right through three dragons, killing them as their hearts were pulled out by the mettalic sphere.
Silvreus created lightning javelins and shot them at two dragons. Before the bolts hit the dragon and dragoness, he shouted, “Iekaphrnuikhei,” and once the bolts hit them, they imploded. Both dragons were sucked into the void and disappeared out of sight.
Arya froze dragons with her Ice Element and broke them into small ice shards once her tail smashed through her frozen victims.
As the skirmish went on, the dragoness’ forces were starting to retreat away from Kieás. “Lieutenant Esthela,” a dragoness called out to the rose colored dragoness. “We're losing more and more dragons,” she then got killed by one of Maximillius’ exploding tacks.
“Retreat!” Esthela ordered. All dragons then vanished as she performed a teleportation spell… except one.
“Fayfel!” I yelled as I ran to her. “Are you okay?”
She muttered incoherently. I shook her once and then got slapped by Fayfel's tail on the face, drawing blood as the sharp end of her tail grazed my right cheek.
“She's been drugged!” I noted.
“True,” Max slowly answered. “Let's not waste any more time. We must save Razre and Sapphire before something happens to them. Hopefully, we'll find someone who can cure her”
We then again tried to find a way to get inside Kieás without arousing suspicion.
[Zehta, Draconia ; A Dragon Guard’s Point of View]
It was another boring and uneventful day in the Lord's palace. Many draconic guards came and went, some were stationed somewhere else and some ended their shift.
My normal routine was to wake up, go to the palace, put on my armor, station myself at the front doors of the palace and then station myself outside the Lord's chambers. At the end of the day, I leave my armor in my storage and leave the palace, ending my day by sleeping inside my small but cozy cave.
Today, it was was a normal, typical day for me. I was stationed outside of Lord Ephixüs’ chambers, minding my own business until a white dragoness with ice blue spikes suddenly ran towards the Lord's chambers. I drew out my bronze sword and pointed it at the dragoness’ direction.
“You are forbidden to enter Lord Ephixüs’ chambers,” I stated.
“B-but I have urgent news!” the white dragoness replied.
I sighed while putting away my sword. “State your business,” I said in a near monotonic voice.
“I am Ridiya Kerne, reporter of the Lord's military forces and spy,” she stated. “Now, may I enter Lord Ephixüs’ chambers?”
I knocked on the tall bronze doors and opened them slightly ajar. I stepped inside and saw no dragon on the golden throne.
“Why are you in my chambers, Prometheus?” an ancient, and deep voice filled the room.
I felt fear for a moment until I realized that I had to reply. “My Lord,” I started to say. “A dragoness by the name of Ridiya Kerne wishes to see you. Ridiya states that she has valuable information that you might wish to hear.”
“Send her in,” The Lord commanded.
I did as I was told and ushered Ridiya into The Lord's chambers. I stood by the large bronze doors while Ridiya advanced towards The Lord's golden throne. As she stopped in front of the throne, the six small orbs started to glow and float in the air. The orbs then spun around very fast and close together that soon created the silhouette of a massive dragon.
Ridiya bowed and said, “Lord Ephixüs,” as she showed her respect towards her leader. The Lord's color began appear. His silvery scales glittered in the light while his jet black spines and other set of scales gave off a look of power and leadership. Ephixüs’ height was twenty feet, he had emerald green eyes and had the royal platinum crown that signaled his authority in Draconia. The Lord was feared by many dragons because of his extensive power and magic that he wielded. What made him even more feared was that he had every Element known to dragons. He was known as “The Silver Draconic Hybrid” for having every Element's feature on his body.
Ephixüs body was unlike any other dragon's. His head was the same as any other dragon's, but his right arm was made out ice while his left arm was made of fire. His chest and legs were metallic and his wings were that of a Wind Dragon's, large and slim-like. His tail crackled with charged electricity while his feet were webbed, like those of a Water Serpent.
Ephixüs was truly a sight to behold. Even though I see him everyday as a guard, his sight still amazes me after all these decades.
“At ease,” Ephixüs commanded.
Ridiya did as she was told and stood back up. “Lord Ephixüs, I bring news to you about General Zodd and Lieutenant Esthela,” the white dragoness informed.
“Please, continue,” he said.
The draconianess messenger shifted uneasily. “Well, my Lord, General Zodd captured a fire dragon and water dragoness. I believe their names are Razre and Sapphire. Razre's Element is Fire while Sapphire's is Water.”
“Excellent,” Ephixüs smiled cruelly while he voiced out loud his thoughts. “Two down, three more to go. Soon, that prophetic dragon will have no Elements to absorb power from. Without any Elements, he cannot confront me,” he turned towards Ridiya once again. “Just what IS the purple and green dragon's name?”
“I… I-I don't really know, my Lord,” she stuttered.
Ephixüs shrugged and waved a claw at her. “No matter. We'll soon know when he is near my great presence. His corpse will be burnt in a cauldron filled with strong draconic acid once I execute him,” the massive dragon slightly chuckled. ”Anything else you need to report?”
“Yes, my Lord,” Ridiya replied. “Lieutenant Esthela ordered me to inform you about their whereabouts.”
“I could care less,” Ephixüs rolled his eyes. “Continue.”
“She is at the outskirts of Kieás, a city that is one-tenth of the size of the capital. She also encountered… complications.”
“Complications?” Ephixüs raised a silvery, scaly brow. “Did one of her fighters start a rebellion again, or did - ”
“No, my Lord,” Ridiya interjected with a slight hint of fear. “Lieutenant Esthela encountered… the green and purple drake you mention of.”
At the mention of this, Ephixüs stood up from his throne and started bombarding the white dragoness with questions.
“Was he captured? Does my Lieutenant know his name? Is he held as a prisoner?”
“Your Excellency,” the messenger said. “Lieutenant Esthela's forces… they have been, um…”
“Yes?” Ephixüs smiled cruelly.
“Her forces are all dead!” Ridiya informed quickly while slightly trembling.
Ephixüs' sickly smile was replaced with a terrible and furious glare.
“WHAT?” he bellowed. “All of the hundred dragons are dead !?” he started to come closer to Ridiya, who trembled in great fear. As he came closer to her, he began to shrink from twenty feet to six feet, the same size of the dragoness.
“How dare you inform me of this shit!” he yelled at her face. “I don't want to know my losses! I want to only know my victories!” he pressed his right, index claw to her neck and wrapped his tail around her torso. “Remember this, Ridiya, for this is the only warning you will ever receive,” he growled in a low tone on her ear frill.
“The next time you give me bad news, I will personally have my fun with you before you are thrown in the dungeons and tortured by my guards,” he emphasized “fun,” which sent a violent shiver down the dragoness' spine. Ephixüs began to squeeze her slowly while letting his right claw fall down to his right side.
The Lord seemed to be amused by the dragoness' attempts at freeing herself from the Lord's tail. She was struggling and was losing air. I then did what I normally wouldn't do…
Attempt to save somedragon.
I began to think of a way to get her out of Lord Ephixüs' grasp. Then, unexpectedly, a dragon servant came to me and informed me that His Highness' meal was done. I then quickly went to inform Lord Ephixüs.
“My Lord!” I got Ephixüs' attention and he stopped squeezing her.
“Yes, what is it?” he grumbled.
“Your Highness, your meal has been prepared,” I announced. Ephixüs released Ridiya and threw her forcefully to the white tile marble floor. The impact made a small crater on the tile floor while also causing the dragoness to spit out blood.
“Let that be a reminder, Ridiya,” he walked past the fallen messenger and slammed the huge bronze doors once he exited.
I walked towards Ridiya and grimaced as I saw the dragoness' blood being spilled from her maw. ”Are you okay?” I asked, unsure if the white dragoness was even alive.
A small grunt, followed by spitting came from the dragoness, signifying that Ridiya was barely alive. I helped her get to her feet. “Why did you save me?” she asked between ragged breaths.
“I… I don't know,” I replied. Truly, I didn't know what made me save this messenger.
She was about to say something but Ridiya coughed up blood and started to wheeze. “Come on, I'll help you go to the Infirmary,” I said as I proceeded to help her go there.
I was outside the white dragoness' room, peering through the window every so often to see if Ridiya was still alive. A green, horizontal laser was pointed at the dragoness' feet. It slowly started to ascend until it passed over her head. The laser then turned off and an image was projected on the glass window for me to see.
“Oh, Tartarus…” I mumbled as I read the description of Ridiya's condition. I slid my index claw to the left and saw a very detailed description on Ridiya's condition. The report stated that the white dragoness had damaged scales, fractured hips, broken ribs and fractured legs. Her breathing was ragged, she had lost a quite amount of blood and her Element's energy was way below average.
I swiped left again and saw her status. The statistics stated that her body temperature was starting to decrease and that her blood pressure was slowly decreasing, signifying that Ridiya was dying. Suddenly, an alarm sounded throughout the infirmary and the screen turned red and displayed, “Warning! Low health!”
Three dragons and dragoness doctors rushed to the messenger's room. One drake stopped by the screen and reseted the screen, ending the blaring of the alarm.
“What's happening?” I asked the drake who reseted the screen back to its previous state.
The drake pushed his glasses more closely to his eyes and replied, “It seems your friend, Ridiya, is losing energy faster and faster. If this continues, she will die,” he concluded.
After the drake announced this, I began to feel dread. “Thanks,” I murmured and the doctor went inside Ridiya's room, preparing to give her surgery. I hoped that Ridiya would survive throughout the whole operation.

New chapter released, new events. Like, comment, and tell me any errors that I have made, for I have not revised this.
Prologue
All of this happened in less than a week. Dragons came to Ponyville looking for me. The reason? I don't have the answer. What I do know is that they're trying to slay me. Ever since the first Dragon came to Ponyville to execute me, Twilight had to hide me. It wasn't easy since I'm a six foot drake with medium sized wings. I keep telling Twilight that I can fight for myself but she won't let me because she thinks I'm still too inexperienced with my dragon magic.
Ever since I had hit my draconic growth spurt, I had the ability to further extend my abilities in magic. When I was a small “baby” dragon, eight years ago, I was only able to send scrolls from place to place. Now, I am able to use my telekinesis aura to move objects around, teleport short ranges, heal minor wounds, summon anything at my will and set up small shields.
My magic may not be as good as Twilight's but I can defend myself! I am not a baby dragon anymore and I keep trying to prove that to her. If another teen dragon that sent to Ponyville to kill me, I will fight back. I won't hesitate anymore…
