I could have sent her back...
Year 1, Day 2
Previous ChapterNext ChapterDear Diary,
I could swear the rail was about to break this time. Perhaps it would have, but I gave up on it when I saw Jenny walking over, and decided to talk to her. Now, I'll admit, I've had a thing for Jenny for some time now. She just doesn't know it yet. So, she was walking by, saw me staring off the bridge, and decided to stop and chat. We talked about sports, the weather, usual stuff. Nothing really interesting, honestly. But something about her eyes, her face, her body, talking with her just made me feel like I had to keep on walking. So, the two of us did just that. We walked, and we talked. It was a very happy moment for me. I don't get many happy moments these days.
When I got home, I had some stress that I needed to let off. I took about another half-hour to flip through a dirty comic that my brother had sent me as a joke. It was a dumb book, but it served its purpose. After that, I had to get something to eat. I put a bowl of soup in the microwave, and smiled when I realized what time it was. I hurried over to the TV, just in time to catch a rerun of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It was the episode where Winter was coming to an end, and Twilight had to figure out how she could help everypony else usher in Spring. Besides Jenny, My Little Pony is the only thing in this world that really makes me happy. The show is just so bright, and innocent, and optimistic. It's impossible not to be overjoyed while you're watching it.
The new season's premiering tomorrow. It's a Saturday, so I don't have work. Perhaps I'll do something different after the premiere. Perhaps I'll take a drive instead of walking. Perhaps I'll even call Jenny and ask her out. Then perhaps she'll say yes, and we can go to that nice Italian place around the corner.
Perhaps.
