Chapters My Little Crazy Adventure
(Listen to THIS while reading)
Within the peaceful city of Towns-ville there was a house, and within this house there was a young boy sleeping on a couch, and over his head was a girl that was smaller (his sister) with a sly look on her face. She quickly reached over and grabbed some headphones, ready to put them over her brothers head. As soon as everything was ready she quickly typed something on her computer she was ready to play a video when the boys hazel eyes opened slightly. He let out a long yawn, turned over and fell back to sleep. Then she started playing this video blasting it into the headphones. instantly his eyes shot open then he shot up and went to throw the headphones when he realized they were his.
He shot her a look and she just rolled her eyes he quickly sighed and got up. This is Scion a lazy boy with a very gentle nature as long as your on his good side. He's very athletic and loves to hang out with his friends and even though she gets on his nerves his little sister is a pleasure to have around as well, but in reality he's depressed. Scion has always kept this hidden from others. The only other person who knows of this is his mother, she doesn't like to discuss it either. The only thing that ever troubled the nice fellow was the thought of his father. He was told that years in the past his father was taken from his family; his whereabouts still unknown. He couldn't believe it as a child, and even now he imagined that fateful day being able to do something. He slowly grew to accept the fact his father was gone although every so often he'd think to himself,
"If I could only see him on more time," That was all he wanted more than anything,
After the rude awakening he went to get ready for what the day had in store. Quickly rushing through the living room in a gray hoodie and black jeans to head outside because it was Saturday and Scion knows that at 10:00 AM the show with the "ponies" that his sister loves so much comes on. His eyes were locked on the door as the TV had two numbers in the top right: one and three. He slid past the living room and his hand was on the door knob, he had a giant grin as he turned the knob, the fresh air and the never ending traffic. He never had specific plans either, but he didn't care. What the day threw at him was going to be handled and one way or another, the day was his!
"Let's go see what-"
"Scion could you come here a second?" that was his mother calling
"Okay..." He sighed. For once he almost escaped his sister and those annoying talking ponies. As he was passing through the living room his sister gave him her signature smile. The teasing one that usually had a cheeky remark.
"Don't worry you got three minutes," That didn't make Scion feel any better, if anything it made him feel worse and she knew that.
"I hope this is quick."
Heading to his mother's bedroom she was opening cabinets and placing multiple things in her purse.
"I'm going to head out for a while, you two remember to lock the doors after dark and keep each other safe!" She'd always give the same warnings every time the two siblings were to be left alone.
"Yeah, yeah I know. Where you heading mom? And why are in such a hurry, it's still 10:00 AM," He asked, curiosity getting the better of him,
"Answer me this, why are you asking so many questions?" Scion didn't reply.
"Just watch your sister," she quickly left with hopes the two siblings wouldn't do anything foolish. Scion immediately got a feeling that she was trying to keep something secret, that or something he didn't need to know. Scion tried to leave again, his hand on the door once more.
"Try not to burn the place down while I'm gone," he teased earning a pout from the younger sibling. Finally opening the door, his spiky brown hair blowing in the wind as he took a step outside,
"Hey Scion!" He turned to see his sister with the remote in hand; her index finger over the mute button,
"Oh dear god, no!" After the small button was pressed the MLP intro theme blasted though out the house, leaving an irritated Scion nearly deaf as he ran toward the middle of town.
After hours of roaming about, Scion got comfortable on a park bench and had fallen asleep instantly. Two shadows had appeared shortly after and attached to one of them was a tall 16 year old boy with a black hoodie and blue jeans, he also had a gray winter hat on with one of the ponies Scion hates. This pony had gray fur and a blonde mane and was smiling in the direction that he was looking. Though it was wall eyed. This fellow was Scion's best friend Joseph. The two met in second grade back when they had no friends and were pretty much rejects. After hours of silence in their classrooms, recess came to them. Although neither of them having anyone to play with the two went to the swing set where they met. The two have been going to the same school every year since then. Joseph is a nice, patient person and usually doesn't show anger unless provoked, he has also been named a "Brony" but ignores criticism of his likes.
"Hey! C'mon Scion wake up!" He shouted multiple times with no effect, if anything it made him snore louder.
"He'll never learn, he's hopeless. Joseph put the ear piece on him," a feminine voice came from a blonde haired girl with a blue ribbon on her head. She wore a blue skirt up to her knees and a pink T-shirt, this was Colette. She was Scion's crush ever since they met in a flower shop. She was very intelligent to the point she'd reveal all the flaws Scion could make or already made; which was many. Scion never hid his feelings to her at all, yet sometimes it seemed that Colette didn't care. Maybe she was hiding how she really felt... either way one thing's for sure, she loves to tease the boy. Joseph took an ear bud and placed it in Scion right ear and plugged it into his phone shaking his head in disappointment,
"3...2...1 and.."
"AHHHHH! GODDAMNIT!" Scion screamed as he heard the intro theme for the third time that day.
"Ow..."
Joseph let out a sigh. "Scion it hurts me to do that, but your sister told me it's the only way to get you up."
"If your done screaming in terror from talking animals-" Colette commented until Scion interrupted
"It's not the horses, it's their voices... er... voice actresses." he didn't convince either of his friends, "they look freaky as hell too!"
"Your over reacting and besides we're here to talk to you."
"We are?" Colette asked, earning a face palm from Joseph
'"Shoot." Scion yawned as he got up
"I'm not going to ask him."
"What! Why not?" Joseph shouted, Scion got extremely confused. 'What are they talking about?'
"He's too much of a kid anyway, he'd never understand,"
"HEY! I'm just as old as you are!" Scion seethed "What are you two talking about anyway?"
"Look Scion I've got to go and get ready."
"Ready?"
"Ready for what?" Colette began to walk away.
"Get ready for what!? ......*sigh* Joseph what's she talking about, someone die?"
"Well..." Joseph looked away as he felt uneasy trying to tell his friend why, he would probably ruin their friendship altogether. He continued to not say anything until he was 'saved by the bell'. or the ringing of Scion's phone in his pants in this case, It played the green hill zone theme from "Sonic the hedgehog". Scion peeked at the phone, 'Sister XP' was the caller.
"H-hello?"
"Hey Scion you've got a package here!" The sibling squealed happily, "lucky you,"
"Cool, but who is it from and why are you-,"
"Bye now!" She interrupted before hanging up
"Well....I got to go, so... see you online later I guess,"
"Yeah..." Joseph said simply. Scion made his way home where his sister was no longer on the coach. Use this opportunity he moved toward the coach until he tripped over something. It was a brown package labeled; for little Sci, from Europe.
"Cool! Wait a second... I don't know anyone from Europe,"
He thought of all the people he knew, but none of them moved or were Italian. He took this time to open the package, quickly taking the tape off to reveal a small white box. He obviously opened it, but what was inside made him confused and disappointed.
"Just a necklace? Are you kidding me?"
He began to examine the necklace. It was golden with three large lockets a heart, a diamond and a square. He opened them. The diamond had a picture of his mother, but younger. Those eyes and smile that warmed his heart could never be forgotten even if Scion wanted to or not . He looked at the diamond; a red haired man with red eyes was staring into Scion's very being. These eyes struck him as strange because the only real person he knew who had red ones was himself, but only so often.
The first time it happened he didn't even realize the change, he was being bullied and next thing he knew his fist was in someone's face. He punched the bully and had gotten in serious trouble. Joseph informed him that he acted different and his eyes scared him. Scion can't tell when his eyes do it, but he gets infuriated and feels different. In a way that he hadn't usually felt, so it was hard for him to describe. But because it happens so little he can't tell when or even why his eyes would do that.
(Stop now listen to THIS )
"Who is that guy?" Scion wondered as he held a small controller in his hands and his headset on while sitting in front of his TV. He stared at the necklace for almost five whole minutes, until a voice snapped him back into reality,
"Scion? If you got a minute I'd like to talk to you about something!" It was his friend Joseph,
"..." He hesitated to say anything
"You know that Valentines day is coming up right? Well Colette is going to the dance they have at school, but she didn't want me to tell you because" Joseph hesitated "Well she isn't going to ask you to go with her,"
Scion sucked it all in, he was still silent. "You okay? Your not angry are you? Look don't talk to her about it and just move on, sorry of I made ruined your day or force your eyes red!"
Joseph was half right; Scion was emotionally stricken. Colette was more than just a friend, she made Scion sane in a sense. The way she'd tease him and her snobby attitude made him smile, but maybe, just maybe he could let it go. They would still be friends right?
"No I-" his phone rang violently in his pocket.
"Scion I..... you and your sis...ter need to....AH!" The caller let out a scream.
"Who is this? Wait... mom!" The caller hadn't answered, "Hello? Hello?!" He called out to no avail, was moments later that Scion received a text,
"Okay 'Scion' keep your mouth shut and see me at the park, midnight got it? No cops or the lady gets it!" Scion stood there with his phone, completely stunned. The person who had his mom's phone had left him breathless. It was about 5:00 PM now; Scion wouldn't be able to last seven hours. Although every thought he had was to try to rush the one who supposedly had his mom hostage. Then the possibility of his mother being killed was brought to mind. He would wait.... he had to!
I'll save her Dad..... I promise."
He waited patiently, hardly able to go through his normal day procedure. When the time came Scion's sister was sleeping soundly and the entire house was dark.
I'm coming mom, unlike the morning there was hardly traffic and the whole town was quiet for once. Using the street lights he found the park; it wasn't much to see, a cobblestone round surrounded by a river and benches. He continued until he noticed two people collapsed on the grass, a women and a man. The man had a shady figure with black pants, black jacket and a ski mask. There was a silver pistol next to the supposed thug. Scared half to death by the look of the scene Scion backed away, but found his courage to find out what happened. The woman who he instantly knew was his mother had a hole in shirt by the upper torso; most likely fatal. What Scion couldn't figure out was how thug got hurt.
"Well, well, well!" An overly confident voice came from behind causing Scion to jump, "Scion Moto I presume," Scion checked over his shoulder, someone was in a black cloak that cover every part of his/her body.
"So what if I-I am?"
"Well my friend here shot your mother, but that wasn't part of the mission so he had to be executed." Scion began to cry as he put his head down. His mother's death was confirmed if it wasn't already.
"So you just.... just let her die?" The cloaked figure said nothing, "Why? Just tell me WHY!"
"That necklace of yours, it has a bigger value than you can imagine." He came closer.
"YOU BASTARD!" Scion raised his head to reveal crimson red eyes as he charged at the cloaked figure. Scion attacked mercilessly at his opponent, punches flew every second.
"ENOUGH!" he grabbed Scion arm and gave him a punch in the gut, after that he kicked Scion so hard he went flying into a near by tree. The impact leaving him dazed. He reached for Scion's necklace,
"Scion!"
Joseph came by and saw everything,
"Your not going to hurt him are you?"
"No! just want the necklace," He informed.
"Well you... can't.... have... have it!" Scion said, unable to speak without stammering, "The deal was... no cops and my mom got to live.... remember?"
"'Sigh' Your a stubborn kid you know that? Fine keep the damn thing, but when other people have guns to your head, remember I tried to save you. Let's all say this never happening got it?!" The tone of his voice sounded like he would kill the two if they didn't obey.
"We wouldn't tell-"
"FREEZE!" Just then a few police men appeared, their guns aimed for the mysterious thug
"I knew he was too stupid to use the suppressor." the one in the cloak grabbed Scion and Joseph by their necks, they struggled only for him to tighten his grip. Choking them instantly,
"Let the civilians go!" He didn't listen, instead he tighten his grip even more to point that the two boys could hardly breath. In an instant his entire hand began to glow blue. Something was tingling inside in Scion and Joseph's back and eventually became pain in their entire body. The two yelled out as it intensified. momentarily Joseph's eyes shut completely, but he was only unconscious. Scion kept fighting it, the pain soon got to him as his eyes were half lit.
"You want me to drop them huh? With pleasure!" As he shouted a large hole came from the ground. The hole had spiraling orbs around it and was black inside. Without saying a word he dropped the boys in, just as the sound of gun fire filled the area. As the two were falling, Scion's necklace began to glow, it's golden light was but only a small ray of light in the sea of darkness.
"Ssciioon..."

"Scion....Ssciiiioooon,"
Came a voice that echoed in Scion's ears. Scion hoped that it was his sister begging him to get off the coach and everything he just witnessed was a terrible dream. One that seemed and felt real, but wasn't. He'd wake up and everything would be normal again.
"Scion, wake up,"
The voice sounded worried, but Scion kept his eyes closed still believing it was his sister bothering him. The voice begged again and again until Scion opened his eyes slightly
"What is it Honesty?"
His vision was blurry, but it didn't matter because the room was completely pitch black.
"You aren't dreaming",
Those words forced Scion's eyes to widen and he noticed his surroundings; a void of darkness that seemed endless. It gave him chills. Scion stood up in the dark and looked for the source of the voice.
"Hello?"
Silence "Show yourself,"
"I'm right here,"
The voice finally replied. The dark revealed nothing to him, which left him confused. Abruptly, a golden light that appeared from his necklace leaving Scion blinded as he covered his eyes. Once the light slowly died the area lit up with the golden light and Scion saw who was talking to him,
"A-a-a pony? Tell me I'm dreaming,"
He mumbled the last part. This pony had gray fur with a blue mane. It was about Scion's size while standing it's four legs stood there with an emotionless face as it spoke,
"Well you are....and...you aren't"
Scion didn't know to feel relieved or scared.
"Scion that necklace is the key to open the door to the answers." It suddenly said.
Scion felt awkward after being told the metaphorical sentence as he began to stare at his accessory.
"Okay....,but who are you anyway?"
"I'd tell you if I actually had a name."
Scion had his own personal problem and he asked the poor pony's, Although it's face hadn't changed, feeling nothing from what he said. Scion decided to apologize.
"Sorry I asked, but 'this necklace is the key' doesn't make sense."
Just as he spoke the necklace shined it's light engulfing the entire area, Scion couldn't see a thing.
"Remember the necklace is far more than something you wear, it wields 'the key'....
There was silence.
(Stop the music now listen to this )
Scion eyes shot open as he checked his surroundings; he was on top a hill laying in the grass with the early morning sun shining with a breeze in his hair. He sat there, thinking about what the animated horse said.
"The necklace is the key."
He thought over and over until a loud snore freed him from his thoughts. There sleeping next to him was Joseph.
"Ngh....I'd love another cupcake Pinkie......zzzzz."
He spoke in his sleep. Scion could have sworn he heard the name Pinkie from his little sister more times than he could count. Through he never cared enough to ask who that was.
"Okay Joseph! Wake up we've got to find our way back home, come on!"
He shouted while shaking him.
"Huh? S-Scion? We're actually alive?!"
He began checking his body for injuries.
"Yeah, we'll be fine as long as we find our way back quickly. Unfortunately I don't know where we are and better yet, how did we get here?"
Joseph stood up. "Maybe we should ask over there for directions."
He pointed to the left where there was a village covered with cottages.
"I don't think we should, I mean there's something weird about that place."
Scion admitted as Joseph began sliding down the hill.
"Well, see ya! I'm checking that place out." He shouted from the bottom.
"Huh? J-Joseph you son of a-"
He gave an annoyed groan and began to run after him, but couldn't catch him as he lead them both into the village. Scion had a bad feeling, The way this place was just 'there'. not only that but cottages weren't exactly regularly seen. Much less an entire area like this, either way Scion kept moving.
Once he made it to the entrance he noticed something, he lost track of Joseph. Joseph could have been through the whole village and back by the time Scion could even catch up. He stood there and thought to himself.
"I'm going to regret this....Okay just get directions, find him and get out of here."
"JOSEPH.....JOSEPH!"
He had began shouting his name though out the village with no response. The citizens of the place were no where to be seen which gave him a bad feeling. He continued his search but when he turned a corner he bumped into something.
"Ah!"
Or someone. The voice seemed female but before he could see her he was on his back getting up.
"Oh, my bad I wasn't watching where I was-"
Scion nearly screamed himself when he saw what he ran into. A yellow pony with a pink mane sitting on the dirt, giving Scion a look that made him feel even more guilty than he already was. He was about to apologize until it spoke.
"Eep! I-I'm sorry,"
She ran right pasted him leaving Scion on the ground completely speechless. He looked in the direction the Pegasus went. She was gone. He picked himself up still looking behind him.
"Weeell.... that was weird. Now to find Joseph aaaaand....?!
He turned to see multiple ponies in a wide variety of colors staring at him. Probably questioning what just happened a second ago. Scion didn't really know himself. He shook his head, turned around and walked away with his hands in his pockets; trying not to draw any more attention, but after what just happened. It was most likely too late.
"Where the hell is he?"
Scion had spent over 30 minutes trying to find Joseph's whereabouts and no luck. He also found out there wasn't anything reception for his phone and the constant stares he received made him feel as if he wasn't welcome. He had began walking around the area going nowhere in particular with is head hung down, he had thought of what happened before they arrived here. How did they get here, who did this and the reasons why were questions that he tried to answer, but couldn't think of anything logical reasons. Scion could feel the sadness that was lodged in his heart take over as the only emotion. Scion was making his way back to the entrance, hoping to find another place to ask for directions.
"Hold it!"
Shouted a familiar voice. Scion just stopped, he didn't even bother turning around to see the grinning face of his.
"Hey Scion I found out where we are!"
Scion turned around curious to figure out what information he had to give,
"Really? Thank God, I was about lose it." He said relieved.
"So um... where are we?"
Joseph was still grinning when he said. "We are in the magical land of Equestria!"
Scion had a face of pure confusion that said, 'Where the hell is that?'
Joseph took a moment to give the bad news "Well you see, we're not on earth anymore."
"What!" Scion almost screamed, a moment later a sharp smack was heard.
"Ugh...so how do we leave?"
Joseph gasped then glared at him.
WE DON'T! I mean...We can't because we're on another planet, or maybe an alternate dimension soooooo....yea."
Joseph let out changing from one emotion to another scaring the crap out of Scion. Scion was ready to protest, but Joseph was the one that had more experience with stuff like this so he had to trust him, for now.
"Well I guess we'd better find a place to stay, any ideas?"
"Yep! She should be here right about..."
Joseph began staring at a nonexistent watch on his wrist,
"She? Who the heck are you talking abou-"
Suddenly, Scion felt a presents behind him. He quickly checked over his shoulder to see a pink pony with a messy, slightly darker pink mane. It had been giving him a head splitting smile that gave Scion chills just thinking about it. The worst part was, it was only an inch or so away.
"Um....Hi?"
Scion replied nervously as he backed away only for the animated horse to follow. He continued to backtrack until his back hit something, a tree. The pony was there in front of him and got closer and closer, Scion froze in fear he closed his eyes and braced for impact. It kept moving until it was nearly touching him with it's nose,
"HIWHOAREYOUMYNAMEISPINKAMINADIANEPIEAWHAT'SYOURSWHEREAREYOUFROM!"
It seemed to squeak like a mouse with it's speed of speech. Scion opened one eye to see it with it's large grin, but this time it felt warm and friendly instead of surprised or scared.
(Last time, now listen to this )
Scion let out a small laugh that was more of a nervous chuckle.
"Abooouuut NOW! Say hello to Pinkie Pie!"
Joseph announced late, laughing to earn a sweat drop from Scion. Scion walked over beside Joseph and gave him glare. his laughter turned hesitant and nervous we he saw Scion's eyes crimson instead of their usual hazel.
"Whatever, so who is this exactly?"
Scion said calming down slightly.
"She is going to show us around Ponyville. You in on the tour?"
Scion tried to get out of it with a no, but instead he said.
"Yeah... love to, but-"
Scion tried to sneak away from them and save himself both mentally and physically,
"Great, then let's go!"
Pinkie grabbed Scion's collar and yanked him back toward the entrance. She lead the group in. Joseph was happily following with a small spring in his step. Scion on the other hand was being choked the whole way. After a minute or so they stopped. Scion used this time to recover.
"OKAY.......tell her not to do that! EVER!" He exclaimed.
"Calm down, your fine! Besides she'll do that even if I try to make her stop." Joseph replied.
"Ugh my throat. Why didn't you *cough* help me?"
"It looked too funny to stop."
He said chuckling, Scion sighed.
"Anyways, meet Rainbow Dash!"
He said pointing upward to the sky, where there was a pony. What a surprise. It had light blue fur with a rainbow mane, but Scion noticed something... odd; besides the fact it was in the sky. It was reclining on a cloud looking as if it was ignoring everything in the world; Scion wished he could do that at this moment in time,
"What the- how do you sit on a cloud? Clouds are water vapor in the air so how do you sit on it, it's not even solid!"
Joseph got closer and whispered into his ear,
"The ones with wings are Pegasi, and they can touch clouds like solid ground,"
"That's bullshit!" Scion whispered back,
"Oh and you may want to cover your ears. Just say 'in,"
Scion quickly asked why hoping not to regret it,
"HUH? What was that?"
Joseph yelled unable to hear himself because in the second Scion asked the question he put sound-proof headphones on. Scion was about to take them off and ask again until he heard yelling,
"RAINBOW DASH!"
The sound was so surprising Scion's eyes turned into brown blurs, spinning clockwise at intense speeds. His ears rang and his body shook violently as his eyes slew down and Scion collapsed backward with the sound effect made from "Pac-man" when he dies along with Scion groaning in pain. Joseph took his head phones off and looked at his friend who just passed out,
"Hey! Scion you okay? I warned you dude,"
He teased, not that Scion could hear him while he was on a trip to dream land; and not the one from "Kirby". Joseph watched as the light blue pony groaned and started to spread it's wings and slowly hover down from the cloud, gently landing on the ground. Blue birds started chirping and flying laps over Scion's head as he regained his consciousness,
"get away you stupid birds!"
The birds flew away at the sight of Joseph throw his hands around,
"oh dear lord.... what happened? Joseph did I die?"
He asked feeling lightheaded as he got up and started walking, but because of his current status he wasn't walking straight. He kept moving in circles on wobbly legs,
"can I please get a break? Oh and one more thing Pinkie; WARN ME WHEN YOUR ABOUT TO THAT! I've only been here for an hour and already hating this place,"
Scion shook his head which was followed by a cartoon sound effect while Joseph started having a fit of laughter,
yeah, yeah laugh it up, douchebag!
"It's not that funny!"
Scion shouted as he fell on his backside yet again; his legs couldn't coordinate with him being dizzy from spinning around. The one named Rainbow Dash started to join in on Joseph's laughing as the two fell over still laughing at the ordeal. Scion sighed and picked himself up again, but this time he stood normally and hardly struggled to balance himself if he did at all. He took a breath,
"You guys done yet?"
Joseph and Rainbow Dash's laughter slowly dying down into chuckles as the blue pony spoke,
"You're pretty funny. What's your name?"
"Scion and that WASN'T a comedy act,"
"Well it was still hilarious," Joseph said wiping a tear from his eye. Scion knew he made a fool of himself, but was it really THAT funny? He could understand why Rainbow Dash would laugh, but why Joseph? He knows how bad Scion's luck can be and he told him it was a good source of hilarity, or at least at first. When you trip and drop your ice cream, get ready to leave your crazy sister and get stopped as your at the door and miss the bus only to arrive at school to be called late by one second you realize something; bad luck sucks!
"Whatever..." he snorted,
"to think that Colette calls me the child out of the three of us, so... um is Rainbow Dash going with us on the tour?"
"Nope just an introduction,"
Joseph started chuckling and tried to hide it by cover his mouth with one of his hands, Scion was the only one to notice as the two ponies were having a conversation,
"What's so funny?" Joseph ignored him, "No seriously. Why are you laughing?"
"No reason. None at all," he said not convincing Scion at all,
"Never mind that! We've got a tour to get back to," Pinkie shouted from behind Scion causing him to jump,
"Well I gotta go," Rainbow Dash said before flying off, quickly disappearing from sight,
"Hey Scion!" Scion turned to his friend, "Pinkie already left so let's go!"
"I-I'd rather not so-"
"BYE SCION,"
Joseph sang as he left Scion in the dust, he groaned and followed.Scion gave chase and actually caught up. Joseph and him neck and neck,
"Race you to that barn," Joseph challenged,
"Hmph, try to keep up!"
As Scion ran Joesph started to remember something and stopped
"Scion wait!"
"What?"
Scion was almost at the barn he started to see rows upon rows of apple trees and a huge gate marking the entrance.
Yea got this in the bag he thought as he passed the gate."Hey Joseph come on hurry-"
but right as he was about to finish his sentence a very had force had pushed him to the ground and just stomped on his gut knocking the wind out of him.
"Ah! What was that?"
"Applejack stop!"Pinkie shouted.
"Pinkie stand back!"
Applejack said as she stomped on Scions gut again, forcing a groan out him,
"No! That's my friend I was talking about"
"This..thing is your friend?"
"Human!"
Joseph shouted as he started to catch up.
"Were humans,not things."
Applejack still had a look of confusion on her face.
"Alright, then these "Humans" are your friends?" She said skeptically.
"Yea that's Joseph and that's Scion!"
She said pointing a hoof to each.
"There so nice and Scion's so funny!"
"Yeah you should have seen him earlier, freaking hysterical!"
"......."
Scion remained silent under the crushing weight of orange pony's hoof. He couldn't tell if it was because of the pain he was in or the fact they were bring up one of the most embarrassing things he's ever done, he kept his mouth shut. The pain continued to rise, Scion decided that he'd say something, anything to get her off,
"If we're all done talking about my failure..., it-it's kinda hard to breath down here!"
Applejack released him and Joseph let out his hand which Scion took. He stood up with an aching pain in his stomach,
"Sorry bout that,"
"Don't worry, it's isn't the first time I've been in large amounts of pain today,"
"You wouldn't have been in any pain if you had listened to me for once!" Joseph commentated
"Sure... telling me at the last second and you expect me to be able react in that time? It's not that I don't listen, it's that your not warning me ahead of time!"
"I'm pretty sure telling you a few seconds before something happens is classified as telling you ahead of time," Joseph said causing Scion to roll his eyes,
"Well anyways" Joseph continued "Were famished can we get something to eat?"
Scions stomach growled rumbled as if to confirm the fact that they were indeed very hungry.
"Well i got some fritters cooking for lunch, why don't ya join us? it's the least i could do after what i did to...Scion was it?"
"Yea. and sure if your offering sounds like a meal."
Surprisingly Scion didn't eat much, first to leave actually. He waited by the entrance and began to stare at the sky,
"Hang in there sis... I'm going to find my way back. I promise..."
everything happened so fast; the kidnapping of his mother, her death, getting sent to this new world and it all happened in one day. What if that cloaked person was causing trouble and with those supernatural powers of his? If so who would stop him or better yet, who could? Scion wondered if he'd even have the same place to return home to,
"Hang in there..." a voice familiar called from nowhere, your sister is fine, and focus! There's someone you need to meet here,
Scion looked at his necklace it's started glowing.
"You again huh? So you can talk to me whenever?"
"Never mind that, were you listening?" It said slightly irritated,
"Yeah don't worry I was... I need a name for you dude,"
"Ugh...I'm the spirit of the necklace. Is that a good enough name for you!?"
"Hmmm...I guess so, although we could think of something better," Scion started thinking,
"YOUR HOPELESS! You do whatever you want, I'm meditating!" the glow started to faint and the voice disappeared,
"Scion who were you talking to?" Joseph said tapping his friend on the shoulder,
"H-H-Huh? No one, no one at all." Joseph crossed his arms, he didn't believe it.
"It's not like you to talk to yourself.... ah whatever we've got a tour to get back to,"
"Can't wait.." Scion said sarcastically, "this going to be a long day!"
"Say Scion, you ever have a... um.." Joseph started but couldn't finish. Scion wondered why,
"A what?"
"Um... never mind that,"
"Uh, uh! Your not avoiding this one tell me I won't laugh, promise."
Scion put his right hand behind his back and crossed his index finger over his middle one,
"Fine..." Joseph then started to grow a large grin on his face, "I'll tell you if you answer me a question,"
"Go ahead." Scion said resting his hands on the back of his head,
"How are you taking the break up?" Moto Flinched at the sudden question,
"Well... fine,"
"Scion you don't have to lie. Just tell me honestly, do you miss Colette?"
Joseph begged for the 'real' answer. Scion didn't think he had the courage to tell him, but he took a deep breath and turned away from his friend, he spoke emotionlessly,
"Yes," he admitted "I may not meet another girl like her, but hey, there are plenty of fish in the sea right? And for all I know I could meet one even better than her!" Scion turned back to him with a smile,
"Of course! And some of those 'fish' are here,"
"Don't even joke like that,"
"Just did!" the two shared a laugh,
"So where to next?" Scion said actually happy for the first time since him and Joseph got to Ponyville,
"We're off to see another friend of mine!" Scion guessed that, he continued to follow Pinkie,
"Well... has someone started enjoying their time in a different dimension?"
Scion couldn't respond to the spirit's babble due to the fact that the others were present,
"next thing you know, you won't want to return home!"
it finished with snobby laughter. What Scion didn't realize was he slowed his pace, Joseph turned around to see him behind
"Hey Scion would you- what the hell is wrong with your necklace?" He noticed it glow unnaturally,
"Oh dear, over stayed my welcome," it fainted quickly,
"I may have... a spirit living inside my necklace,"
"Oh really?! HEY MISTER SPRIT!" Pinkie shouted right at Scion's necklace
"He says 'how do you do'? And 'I can hear you just fine,' and just to warn you spirit; yes Pinkie does that often."
"Well let's hurry up, and by hurry I mean, keep up Scion," Joseph and Pinkie ran ahead.
"HUH?! Hey wait a second, GUYS!" Scion began running, trying to keep up with the two,
"Well you and Joseph are the best of friends aren't you?" Scion sped up and started to catch up, Let's put that aside for now, one of these friends Pinkie goes on about has to be the one able to help you. I have, as you call it; 'a feeling in my gut' about it"
"Who could this person.... er pony be?"
Scion thought as he finally was beside his friends and they eventually stopped in front of a cottage that was separated from all the others. The noise of woodland creatures was heard from the inside, Scion stood there and continued his conversation with the sprit,
"I've never met the pony in particular although I was told you'll know her when you see her," the necklace wearer sighed at the word 'her',
"Are there even guys in this dimension? And why didn't you tell me I could talk to you through my thoughts?"
"Well we do have a mind link. Besides it doesn't matter,"
"Scion?" Joseph wondered what he was doing or where, "HEY!" Scion cursed out loud from the sudden shout,
"Oh... sorry I... zoned out for a second there, heh"
"A second? More like 5 minutes!" Scion didn't sound like he was listening
"heh...heh......" He felt like he weighted a ton and stood on wobbly legs. He suddenly collapsed
"SCION!" Joseph shouted as the necklace glowed
"Scion! wake up... wake up!" It was futile, "master..."
the light grew to massive proportions and released it into the sky, while meanwhile a cloaked figure was looking around at the top of a hill and noticed the light.
"Ah, ha!" he raised his right arm to his mouth, "The necklace has been located,"
"Remember we want him alive," a sinister voice came from his arm,
"Can't ever make it easy for me huh? Whatever the brat's as good as mine!" He disappeared in a blur.
My Little Crazy Adventure
(Listen to THIS for best effect)
Scion felt his body in aching in pain as his face was in the ground, His eyes tightly shut as he tried to endure the pain.
"Wake up! Open your eyes, please..."
The spirit inside his necklace begged, but he doubted he could in his condition. He still tried, as he stood up the pain grew and he fell back down.
"Ugh! Dammit!" He growled wincing,
"Scion! Your sister's waiting for you now get up!"
Scion realized what consequences his actions could have. He imagined what his father would think of him, how furious he would be. He'd never want to see his face...
"I left them with you and couldn't even protect your sister? Pathetic..."
How could he live an eternity in heaven with this on his conscience? Then again did he deserve even heaven? either way he would have to take the pain. tensing his body and slowly stood,
"Come on..."
He groaned while gritting his teeth together keeping his eyes shut. They would be red by now and he knew it, pain usually brought them out,
"Phew.... thank god your still alive, now are you okay? Were going to need to let you rest here before I return you to the reality,"
"What?"
Scion said shocked from the spirit's words.
"But I am..... Oh no,"
He opened his eyes for only a second to close them again. He was in his own mind space; the part of his mind with no light.
"You pasted out and your friends are very concerned,"
"I could tell... Joseph's probably freaking out by now! You can wake me up right? How long have I been out anyway?"
Scion asked, panting from how hard he forced himself earlier.
"A couple minutes, I can bring you back, though I should warn you; using my powers to send you here and release back to real world could have-"
"Look" Scion interrupted as he had the feeling the spirit was about to give a unnecessarily long speech. "I'll listen to all consequences you want to tell me later!" He snarled, "Just make my necklace glow so I can see what... what's happening,"
But-but.... *sigh* fine... you seem determined and one way or another I'll eventually have to," the necklace glowed, "try not to overexert yourself!" It warned.
The light made Scion relax, the feeling was gentle and made him feel safe. He closed his eyes to hear an audible humming sound echo in the air.
(Listen to THIS now)
The humming eventually ceased. Scion took this moment to open his eyes, he was inside, on something that resembled a couch it was very soft he felt as though he could fall asleep for hours but he was to concerned as to where Joseph ,and surprisingly, Pinkie were.As he took time to take in his surroundings he noticed that there were an array of bird houses and different thing that pets would like. He also noticed that there was a bandage around his head looks like whoever dragged him here "Joseph" was ether in a hurry or just dragged him by his feet because he was indeed bleeding. he noticed a door slightly open and heard the voices of Joseph. Pinkie, and somepony else he didn't know so he listened.
"Sorry Fluttershy" Joseph said
"You should know better than to of dragged him by his feet do you know how rocky the road here is he could of gotten a concussion!" said the one known as Fluttershy,
"I said I was sorry, besides we were in a hurry when we saw him pass out we kind of panicked Pinkie had to be the guide so i had to carry him and he was too heavy and i just kinda grabbed him by his feet to get here" he looked at the floor "Sorry." Fluttershy looked at Joseph with a look of pity
"Aww its alright besides you learned your lesson right?"He simply nodded "then is alright besides he's fine right?"
"Yep! in fact he's right there!" Pinkie said as she pointed to the door, where Scion had been with a frown of pure irritation,
(THIS )
"So that's why I have a serious headache."
"SCION!" Joseph smiled as he saw his friend
"Bah! You would be the only one who would drag me by my face and not give a shit," he seethed,
"He was only looking out for you. You should be grateful," His spirit said,
"I know, I am. I just wish he wouldn't do stuff like that," Scion thought back, "So... sorry about that I... honestly don't know what happened," Scion scratched the back of his head while looking down,
"It's alright I'll be more considerate next time and by the way i did care it was just the fact that I panicked and nopony would help me" Joseph said while glaring at Pinkie.
"Sorry" Pinkie said looking at the ground sadly.
"Just don't do that again an-" He took a second to think. "Joseph?" Scion said while narrowing his eyes
"Yea Scion?"
"Did you say nopony?"
"Yea why?'"
"Don't you mean nobody?"
"No not here everypony says anypony all ponies!" Joseph said with delight.
"Ugh..." Scion just sighed, "Shouldn't have asked..." he could hear someone giggling his mind
"Does our species frighten you?" It teased,
"NO! It's just really weird being in a world with talking animals,"
"Um... Scion wake up! HELLO!" Joseph cried before knocking on his friend's head,
"What I was having a friendly conversation with the spirit," he complained.
"You got three seconds, until I get Pinkie to force you. Your choice buddy!" Scion jumped in fear as Joseph left,
"It was nice meeting you Fluttershy, but I got to go before I strangled again!" He dashed off then sudden reappeared, "And may I also add, you look very familiar," An pink hoof came and grabbed his collar.... again.
Scion, Joseph and Pinkie continued with their tour, Joseph was having a conversation with his new friend. Scion overheard something about 'partying', Scion decided to have his own talk with his new 'friend'.
"Say spirit... your positive I'll be able to return home? I mean, my sister means a lot to me... ya know?" Scion said as he hoped the spirit was right
"Coming from the thoughts I've read of her, you think she's a little brat. Am I not correct?" The spirit replied, earning a sigh from the necklace wearer,"
"I know what I think of her..." he frowned, " we're siblings so... we are supposed to think like that, even though inside we love one another. Besides the reason I want to get back so badly is because of what might be happening in my town....but I'm actually worried about my sister! He admitted as he closed his eyes tightly, nearly on the verge of tears,
"I'm sure your sister would love to hear that! I've been told that this unicorn has done dimensional travel before, sending you home would be easy." Scion felt relieved, yet the look of sadness stayed.
"Hey... Sci you okay? You look sad," Joseph asked concern in his eyes,
"It... It's nothing..." he lied. Joseph didn't believe him, of course the way he spoke and his body language was a clue of his depression, but now he had to do something about it now!
"Look I know what your thinking. So I've been talking about it to Pinkie and we though that some magic might cheer you up so were going to see Rarity!"
"Who?" Scion asked bemused
"A unicorn she can do the magics!" Joseph said seeming very eager to get there.
"Ok where is she?" Scion said, realizing where his friend was going with this,
"Right there!" Pinkie shouted pointing at a building that slightly resembled a carousel at the top.
"There?"
"Yep!"
"Scion cover your ears ok?" he didn't need to be asked twice even though his hands he could hear Pinkie shouting
"RARITYYYY!!!!"
They stood outside waiting for about 5 minutes until they decided to move on.
"I guess she's not home, oh well!" Pinkie said as guided Scion and Joseph to their next destination.
"Who's next?"
"Well the only per-pony left Twilight Sparkle!" Scion rolled his eyes,
"These names man, these names!" They kept moving, all the while Scion was looking around. Nothing in particular interested him,
"Perhaps if you wish to see something interesting, a look in the sky would be in order." his spirit suggested, but Scion ignored It.
"Hey Joseph! Since you know these ponies, mind telling me who this Twilight is?" Joseph face immediately lit up with a large smile making Scion regret yet another thing he has done today. His record of thirteen was going to be broken at the rate he was at,
"Well from her years as a filly she was a nerd or egghead but a very magically gifted unicorn and at a very young age she go accepted to Celestias' school for gifted unicorns then became her star pupil and later came to ponyville and made friends to help stop nightmare moon with friendship to turn her back to princess Luna then moved to ponyville permanently for well i don't know how long"
Scion just stared at him for a few minutes right before Pinkie asked.
"Wait how do you know all that?"
"Um.....Lucky guess?"
Pinkie stared at Joseph intensely for a few seconds then said.
"Works for me!" before returning to her carefree self. Yet Scion didn't know what he was talking about and he also didn't care.
"History lesson I can't understand.... great" Scion mentally sighed
"This Twilight could be 'the one'."
"WOW! That line isn't over done!" Scion replied sarcastically,
"Focus! Your chance to return home could be around the corner," the necklace spirit warned, though the wearer simply put his hands behind his head while keeping up with the group,
"Yeah sure! There are probably millions of them here and with my luck we'll find her like 'that' huh?" Scion shook his head,
"Doubt it,"
He knew it wouldn't be easy. So many things can happen in a short amount of time. The pony that can help could be gone or Scion would return to see his home in ruin. His life was taking too many turns and every one of them was bad, only for the next to be worse. The only thing that saddened him more, the fact he couldn't change any of it.
After a couple minutes the spirit bothered Scion yet again,
"Just look up! I promise you'll see something that should get your attention," he gave up and did as he was asked,
There I'm looking up and I see nothing inter-...HOLY SHIT! That's a big tree..." He commented.
"Actually" Joseph said."it's not just a big tree it's a house, twilight house to be exact it also doubles over as a library so you can get plenty of information about Equestria and it's inhabitants." Joseph stated proudly.
"Um..ok?" Scion looked a little confused that someone who is apparently really well known is just a librarian. He shrugged it off though,"Oh well just hope she's not just a dud."
"Is someone getting stressed? That's a little out of character don't you think?" His spirit teased, Scion was starting to get irritated with It constantly reading every thought he had. He do anything to be able to think to himself once again,
Hey! What if I were to take this necklace off? Would you leave me alone for once?!"
Well, I'd lose my link to your mind and whoever puts it on I would gain a mind link to them. Why you ask?" Scion grew a devilish smirk,
"No reason... say Pinkie! The spirit says It like to talk you,"
"It would?" She squeaked,
"Actually I would rather not... for obvious reasons. I mean Pinkie is just-" Scion cut It off by taking his necklace off.
"Sweet, sweet freedom!" he thought, finally able to without a comment,
"So here you go! And don't be afraid to tell everything that's on your mind. And I mean, EVERYTHING!"
But just as Pinkie was about to take the necklace form Scion Joseph interrupted
"Hey if someone's going to talk to a spirit it should be me besides Pinkie can't really keep her thoughts to herself"
Scion took a look to smile at Pinkie then said
"Exactly!" Joseph took the necklace and put it on for a few minutes it seemed like he was just starring at nothing then after a while he took the necklace off and said.
"Well that was a nice chat and from the sound of things with Eve her nickname we decided on she seems to enjoy a lot of things I do like watching you in torment for example, but that's beside the point. she also said that she didn't want to talk to Pinkie" he turned to Pinkie "No offense"
"None taken!"
"And that apparently Twilight is very important so here's your necklace back. She also said that you need her to get home"
"Of course I do...fine! I'll put it back on, but only if you let me think to myself every so often Eve." he growled before Joseph handed him his gift from Europe,
"Anyways we're burning daylight, we should see Twilight now."
As they approached Twilights' library Pinkie went ahead so Twilight wouldn't freak out when she saw them.
"Twilight can you let me in, I have some new friends I want to introduce you to!."
"Coming Pinkie!"
"Why do I have a bad felling about this?" Scion thought to himself.
"Maybe because of your horrible luck today but I'm sure she'll understand your situation." Scion gulped as he heard a click from the door, the one known as Twilight would be seen shortly.
"You'd better be right Eve!" The door squeaked open, Scion didn't see a miniature horse... or anyone. Maybe it was the power of magic that Joseph was talking about, not that he cared very much. He examined what he could see in the room beyond the front door; many filled bookshelves and a staircase leading upward. That was all he was visible from the opening, yet it made him curious to see more.
"Hello Pinkie and.... things?" came a voice that sounded like a little boy below him. Quickly looking down he saw a small reptile creature. It was purple and green and was standing on two legs unlike everyone else here. It looked up at Scion, obviously studying him on the account humans weren't ever seen around here.
"We're not 'things' short stuff," Scion said slightly annoyed
"Pardon my ignorant friend!" Joseph let out, pushing Scion aside
"We're humans though little dude. Name's Joseph!"
He gave a friendly smile then turned to his friend expectantly. Scion didn't do or say anything. Joseph gave him a jab with his elbow in his shoulder,
"Introduce yourself." He whispered his demand, the one getting hit refused to obey. He continued to do it, each time he did it the next one was harder than the last,
"Don't be a ass about this," He ceased his attack on Scion's arm.
"You're the only ass here,"
Scion said coldly before he angrily slammed his hand into Joseph's stomach. He rolled his eyes as Joseph groaned and reached for his newly hit area,
"I'm Scion Moto," he looked back to the small lizard,
"I'm Spike" He turned to Joseph "Uh, is he going to be alright?"
"He'll be fine..." Joseph slowly stood normally, growling like a dog at Scion. "See?"
"That... *cough* that wasn't cool..." He grumbled
"Consider it revenge" Scion said with a smug look on his face.
"For what?!"
"For letting me get hurt all day!"
"I warned you to be careful!"
"At the last second!"
"At least-!"
"Whats going on here!?" A purple unicorn that Scion presumed was Twilight interrupted.
Both Scion and Joseph pointed at each other and said. "He started it!"
Twilight looked at the two humans for a few minutes in curiosity and asked "Pinkie where did you find these.....humans?"
Pinkie who was watching Scion and Joseph argue the whole time disgruntled by it said "Well i was just hopping around planing on visiting Applejack When Joseph came out of nowhere and started to hug me"
Scion looked at Joseph who had a huge grin.
"Really?" He questioned, in disbalief
"What? It was a once in a lifetime chance for me!"
Scion just rolled his eyes.
"Anyways" Pinkie continued "At first I was a little scared I thought he was going to take me away but the look on his face seemed like a puppy just enjoying a belly rub. So I did the next thing that came to mind and returned the hug. a little while after that we started to talk and he told me his whole story on how he and his friend got here. Then we met up with Scion, Josephs' friend and that's how I met bot Scion and Joseph!." Pinkie concluded with a grin.
Twilight looked at Pinkie "Um...Alright and who's who?"
"That's Joseph and that's Scion." Pinkie said while pointing a hoof to each one.
Joseph waved while Scion just looked bored.
"Well it's nice to meet you two I'm Twilight Sparkle" She introduced herself bring a hoof out.
"I'm Joseph but Pinkie already told you that I am so happy to meet you!" Joseph said vigorously shaking her hoof.
Scion was about to walk past when Eve interrupted. "Wait don't you think you should try to introduce yourself?"
"Why? Pinkie already did for me."
"Well you should try to make some friends here."
"Again, why? Where just going to leave in a little while anyways right?"
"I'm not sure I'm just suggesting that you have friends in high places and these ponies seem to be the highest here."
"Whatever I'll do it later if I have to."
"Fine don't say i didn't warn you."
"Oh shut it already Eve!"
Scion sighed and raised his foot to take a step inside the house, Joseph grabbed him and pulled him in front of Twilight.
"This is Scion..." Joseph looked at his friend. Who had a massive sweat drop, the violet unicorn had been staring at him. Examining him closely, wanting him to do something.
"See why I don't do introductions? THIS HAPPENS!"
He turned to Joseph. His eyes that showed he was freaked out, begging for help. Joseph just shrugged, he was actually enjoying the fact that Scion was getting what he deserved. He could tell that Scion thought he was in a awkward situation; his eyes pleaded, Help me!
"Just say hello. It's not going to kill you.... unless provoked!"
Scions eyes then widen and turned back to Pinkie's friend. Remembering what happened with Apple jack, she knocked him down and didn't even try! Probably could have easily killed him while he was on the ground defenseless, yet with Pinkie around she stopped. No.. there was no way characters from a children's show would kill.... right? On the other hand, everything Scion thought was logical was thrown out the window. Scion froze before his necklace started to glow,
"Hey Scion! Snap out of it, their not going to hurt you. Besides if they can beat you there's no point trying to beat that cloaked guy!"
Eve's commentary wasn't paid any mind, annoying as it was. Scion had no reason to believe anything that was proven wrong already.
"Okay, I was just kidding buddy! So my friend has something to ask you." He turned to Scion, who was still scared, "Isn't that right?"
"Uh.... sure. So how do you know what humans are? I mean, everyone else gives me the stink eye or call me a 'thing',"
"Oh, I didn't I just heard you say it." Scion sighed.
"Course....well I've heard you've done dimensional travel before and as humans, we don't belong here. We were wondering if you could help us."
"Not us, just Scion." Joseph said, Scion looking at him with shock.
My Little Crazy Adventure
(Something to set the mood...)
"What?!" Scion almost shouted.
"What do you mean just me!"
"I mean just you" Joseph replied calmly.
"Look I know you want to go back as soon as possible but I don't, I love it here and want to stay but the last thing i want to do is force you to stay somewhere you don't want to."
"Wow."
Now Scion usually would just leave if it was anyone else but he had a history with Joseph a bumpy history but a history nonetheless. He couldn't be serious... could he?
"Really?"
Joseph nodded in reply. Scion remained silent. Could his life get any worse? He gets dumped by the love of his life, his mother gets kidnapped and killed, loses his chance at vengeance and gets sent to this 'Equestria' place! But now his best friend was leaving him?! Forever?
"Could you excuse us for a second?"
Scion grabbed Joseph.
"Are you absolutely sure about this?"
Joseph seemed to be getting annoyed.
"Yes! I am absolutely one hundred percent sure that I want to go through with this!"
"But your not even a pony! how will you stay here for so long better yet how will you-!"
Scion stopped. was he really was trying to convince his best friend to leave his dream world just because he didn't want to see him go. Sure to him it was a living hell but Joseph really seemed to love it here at least here he won't be at risk of bullying of any sort. Scion thought it over one more time.
"I'll ask one last time are you absolutely sure you want to stay here?"
Joseph said once more'
"Yes, this is my dream come true I want to stay here with all these friendly ponies!"
Scion sighed heavily.
"Alright if you really want to stay here I'll go I need to go on but if your going to stay here then I guess I can't force you to come with me."
"Thanks Scion buddy I'm glad you understand to be honest I'll miss you the most."
Just then Pinkie began to cry.
"Whaaaa! *Sniff* *Sniff* you guys really are best friends!"
"AH!" Scion got very surprised by Pinkies sudden outburst.
"Were you listening to our conversation?"
"Well you did only turn around and walk a few feet we really couldn't help it"
"Ugh well you know what the plan is so to the point can you help u- me get home?"
Twilight a hoof up to her chin in thought.
"Well it will take a while but I might be able to help."
"How long?"
"A few days minimum for research I'll need to do some research of inter dimensional travel and find a way to pinpoint your world so it will take some time."
Scion was in a way relived he will have a few more days with his friend even if it is on this hellhole.
"You really care for your friend don't you?" Eve implied.
"Well he is my best- only friend."
"Apparently even-"
Joseph interrupted.
"Wait where will we stay?"
"The question actually is, where will you stay? I know where I'm staying." Scion said.
"And where's that?" Joseph questioned, Scion walked out the door, "Come on! Tell me!"
"I don't need you waking me up, especially in one of the worse ways known to man! See you girls later!"
Joseph rolled his eyes then asked.
"Fine where will I stay then?"
A few moments of silence.
"OH you can stay with me!"
Everyone turned and looked at Pinkie in surprise.
"Really?" Joseph looked just as surprised as everyone else.
"Why?"
"Well." Pinkie began
"When you first showed up it seemed that you looked for me and you seem nice and friendly im sure the Cakes wouldn't mind and we could have so much fun!"
Joseph thought about it for a few moments considering
"How clean is your room?"
"Umm.."
Pinkie couldn't remember the last time it was clean.
"Not at all."
Pinkie lowered her head
"Perfect!"
"Huh?" everyone thought Joseph wanted a clean place.
"Well" Joseph started. "I'm not much for a clean room I fell more at home in a place that's well not "Dirty" but also not clean like organized chaos."
Pinkie looked like her smile was going to to fall iff with it's size.
"YAY! Oh we'll have so much fun we can play games and have snacks,it'll be like a party *Gasp* a sleepover party! YAY!"
"Sounds like a ton of fun! See you girls later!"
Meanwhile Scion was walking out the entrance to Ponyville. Backtracking to to where he was when he just woke up, the hill. Slowly he climbed to the top. Standing to get a great view of the sun set. The way the crimson red mixed with orange was beautiful. That's when his necklace started glowing, forcing a sigh out of him.
"Hey Scion, I've got something to tell you." Eve's voice was trembling, Scion wondered why,
"Yeah? Well go ahead," He said laying down on the grassy area,
"Well, I actually-"
"GOTCHA!" A voice shouted. Surprise, Scion looked around unable to track where it came from. "Down here!" Scion leaned over the hill and saw 'the devil in disguise'. Quite literally. Just below him was his mother's murderer.
(Well... it's time for this )
"YOU!" Scion hissed at his sight. Just the look of her killer made him want to jump off the hill and attack him, regardless of height of the hill when he leaped. Just then the cloaked figure raised a large stick and disappeared with a flash of white.
"I don't know you personally, I've only been given orders to help #12 eliminate you Mr.Moto. The organization has been looking for that necklace for years and we need it!" The voice was deep and cold,
"If you want it then show yourself! I've got a score to settle with you!"
"Scion are you sure about this?" Eve asked, concerned
"Yeah! I'm going avenging my mom, may as well do it now! Come on you coward!" Scion growled, when he heard a sigh. It was very close to him.
"I'm right here!" Scion looked around,
"Look lower!" The voice commanded, Scion instantly reacting to what it said. Looking down he saw the cloaked figure; only shorter, the sleeves were too long and there was a giant pile of the black fabric behind him. He had a few streaks of silver hair coming out the head hole. He raised the large stick again. Surprisingly it was larger than him too. Purple orbs circled around him,
"Black cloud release your fury on my opponent!" He chanted as the spheres stopped their laps to fly into the stick,
"LIGHTNING!" Suddenly a crack of thunder along with a purple strike of lightning that landed barely in front of Scion, his intended target,
"WHOA!" Was all he could say as he took a few steps back, ready to run, yet he couldn't he was paralyzed in fear.
(And here is the fight)
"Crimson fury burn!" he shouted, red orbs circled this time. Scion stopped shaking and ran quickly sliding down and moving toward Ponyville. "NOW! Eruption!" As he called an 'eruption' of fire formed in front of Scion, blocking the entrance with fire which burned in the grass. The blinding blaze made a large circle around Scion and his opponent, he pointed his weapon at him,
"Aw man! what am I going do? EVE HELP ME!" He thought with endless amounts of sweat on his forehead.
Umm... that staff seems to be his source magic as well as the way he releases it into those attacks! SO GET RID OF IT SOMEHOW! "Somehow? Somehow!?" Scion was now screaming. "Are you trying to get me killed!?" The second he tried anything he'd be fried!
"Raging inferno's, release your fiery destruction!" Yet again he had red circles surrounding him, "GO! Fire ball!" three spheres of pure flames were soaring at Scion. He was quick and dashed to the side, dodging them barely. Unfortunately the cloaked figure didn't let up send more and more, Scion's instinct was to keep running on the outer end of the circle. Fire ball after fire ball, dodge after dodge. After a few more laps the flames on the side blasted ahead of his path, he turned around for the same thing to happen. "FIRE BALL!" A few more heading his way; unavoidable.
"Scion!" Eve gasped as he put his hands in front of him to block the speeding flame, his necklace shook as it began to glow intensely. "Guardian!"
"Scion...Scion? You alright?" A concerned famine voice asked. Scion slowly opened his to see that he was in some sort of green bubble along with the gray unicorn with a blue mane again. Strangely it had a pair of wings to, they were dark blue like it's mane. It's horn was glowing.
"E-Eve?" He stammered before lightly smiling.
"Want a charge? Then get ready for Thor's divine punishment!" The orbs were purple, but much larger than they were the first time! The cloaked figure's clenched his eyes tightly in focus.
"Now's our chance!" Eve warned, quickly lowering the barrier, "Go Scion! NOW!" Scion ran at him reaching for his casting equipment,
"INDIGNATION!" He shouted just as Scion took his staff. There was a shadow over Scion's head, he looked up to a giant black cloud above. It had yellow flashes inside. Lightning... DEFINITELY lightning. There was no where to escape with the fire around them! Scion cringed as a giant bolt came down.
"Guardian!" The teenager opened his eyes, he was in the bubble again. He sighed, relived that he was saved.
"Thanks Eve, you..." He gasped when he turned to thank her. She had been fading gray then back to normal color.
"I-it's okay.... I'll be fine. Just....just save yourself!" She panted while struggling to stand. Scion balled his fists and took loud huffs of breath. His arms and hands shook,
"You..." he growled with a new voice. One that was deep and brought chill into his enemy, almost demonic. "YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT!" He screamed while darting around to show his crimson eyes. He took the stick and slammed it into the ground. The ground suddenly rumbled, then two large pieces of rock flew into the air. They slammed into the foe, they formed a sphere that slowly the walls caved in. Getting smaller and smaller until it was able to be held in the palm of Scion's hand. He tilted his head,
"Hm... what to do with you?" He wondered. He suddenly got an idea. He crushed the ball, it cracked. He released it, allowing the miniature ball of earth to float in to the air. It exploded; chunks of rock flying all directions. Soon the cloaked devil dropped from the rocky prison. He panted and was on the ground, using his hands to hold himself up,
"He fought back....#1 coming back..." he ached before disappearing in a white flash again, leaving behind a strong wind. It blew away the flames behind Scion. He turned around to Eve, She was fading fast. The red eyed teen ran toward her. She disappeared, leaving behind a flurry of gray sparkles. He stood there, unmoving at the sight. His necklaces golden glow died down to gray. The raging flames in his crimson red eyes burned out as his normal eye color returned, he his head down in sadness,
"Eve....I'm sorry..." Scion felt faint, he didn't know why. He turned around to climb the hill once again, he sat there for a few moments. The pause allowed him to think, he couldn't tell anyone about this or they'd be targets to this unknown organization. He sighed and laid down, taking a final glance at the soon to be starry sky. Slowly drifting to sleep.
Meanwhile at Twilights'
"Hey spike"
"Yea twilight?"
Both spike and twilight were looking for any books to help Scion with his problem.
"Those humans they seem like something Princess Celestia should know about."
"What do you mean?"
"Just look at them they're fascinating tall stand on two legs and have what seem like hands"
"Seems as though Lyra was right all this time" Spike said with a giggle.
"Yea I suppose she was"
As the sun was setting and the stars began to shine a faint sound was audible in the distance.
"Did you hear that?"
"Hear what twilight?"
"It sounded like something exploding in the Everfree."
"It was probably just a tree falling or something you know the Everfree."
Twilight thought for a moment.
"Yea your right besides I need you to take a letter for Celestia."
Spike pulled a quill and scroll.
"Ready!"
The next morning
The next day Scion woke up normally. He was slightly sore from sleeping on the ground, but after a few morning stretches he was fine. Scion started to stare at his necklace, still gray...
"Another day...another day my sister's alone..."
He slid down and walked over to the entrance to the Ponyville. Dodging passing gazes he found his friend Joseph with Pinkie.
"Hey guys," he greeted, gaining their attention,
"Wow...right on cue.." Scion tilted his head, questioning what Joseph had just said.
"For what?" He asked,
"Well, Twilight set a letter last night so now we can meet Celestia!" He shouted with enthusiasm. Scion felt a large drop of sweat on the back of his head, out of everything Joseph said only a few things stayed with him as important 1. don't piss off Twilight 2. Celestia is the ruler and twilight's teacher, and 3. don't make twilight depressed or you will suffer Celestia's wrath, Joseph could see the dots emerging above Scion; slowly one came after the other
"I guess that makes sense. I mean as a ruler she's probably concerned about us not being around these parts," Scion said, almost killing all of his friend's excitement
Joseph didn't think too much on it until Scion said that.
"Your right! What if we make a bad impression what if she doesn't let us go home and imprisons us what if-!"
"Hey! Calm down" Joseph stopped "OK now why would she do all that from what you said she seems nice enough."
"Well.....she has a bit of a history with our kind, a bad one at that..." Scion's eyes widen,
"So we're screwed..." he groaned,
"Not necessarily!" Joseph smiled, "I mean, she could have a change of heart. We'll prove we're not like the humans she thinks we are, Celestia's very forgiving."
Scion looked at Joseph blankly "And what kind of humans does she think we are?"
"Well... she basically thinks were a bunch of violent animals that live for violence." Joseph admitted.
Scion face palmed."Really? I know were not the most peaceful of everyone but living for violence? Really!?"
"Hey I could always be wrong you know that's just what I think it changes from time to time but who knows she may just give us a chance."
Joseph added felling a bit more confident about meeting Celestia in the flesh. But his confidence made his friend nervous.
"A chance?" At this point Scion felt his hope disappear. "We're fucked..."
"Don't worry I'm sure everything's going to be fine." Joseph tried to make his friend feel better about the situation.
"She'll show up talk to us for a bit maybe ask some questions leave and we can get back on track and hey maybe she can help you get home how does that sound?"
"Sounds too easy, hopefully this works..."
"Same here buddy, hey! Wanna hang out with me and Pinkie while we wait for her?"
"As much as I'd hate to I have nothing better to do."
"Sure I guess."
Joseph looked ecstatic as well as Pinkie.
"Cool! Come on we're going to have so much fun and you might learn a thing or two!"
The trio made their way to Sugar Cube Corner.
"Umm Joseph why is there a giant gingerbread house in the middle of town.....And why is it pink?"\
"Oh yea I forgot to mention this is Sugar Cube Corner where-"
"I live!" Pinkie suddenly interrupted.
"Yea! This is where Pinkie, under the care of Mr. and Mrs. Cake, lives and where she preps for her famous parties!"
"Hm..." Scion stopped to think, "Interesting..."
Just then Joseph remembered something.
"Hey Scion have you seen my gray hat anywhere?"
"You mean the one that had that gray po-"
Joseph stopped him
"YES uh I mean... yes that one"
"Right... well I haven't seen that thing since we got here in that forest."
"Well we need to go get it!"
"What? Why would I want to go back there?"
Joseph thought about it for a moment.
"Well you don't have to go if you don't want, but I'm not putting Pinkie in danger and I'm sure Pinkie would be more than happy to wait with you here while I go to get my hat."
Scion looked over to Pinkie who had a massive grin on her face.
"Ugh... fine I'll go."
With those words Pinkies grin disappeared.
"You don't like me?"
Just then Scion felt a little guilty for making her sad.
"Look it's not that it's just I don't want Joseph to go it alone maybe when I get back we can all do something"
Pinkie looked happy again.
"Really?"
"Yea sure why not?"
"Yay! I'll get everything set up!"
Pinkie bolted out the door.
"Nice save Scion."
"Oh shut it! You just made me agree to hang out with her some more."
"It's not that bad."
"Yea sure, let's just go get your stupid hat."
Joseph and Scion headed out the door making there way to the Everfree forest.
"Do we have to go back into there?"
"Well have you seen my hat anywhere else?"
"Ugh fine let's just go in and find it quickly."
"I hope that guy doesn't show up again I really don't want to deal with him again. Not now," Scion thought as he looked at the dull gray in the once gold necklace...
My Little Crazy Adventure
-------- In The Everfree --------
"Come on Scion, we're not getting anywhere at that speed!"
At this point both Scion and Joseph have been wandering for about 2 hours and quickly losing there sense of direction as well as time.
"Ugh! Where is your stupid hat!?"
The Everfree was beginning to get very dark almost to a point of blindness.
"Even if we ran across it we couldn't see it without a light."
*Crack*
A small glow was emitting in front of Joseph.
"Brought some glow sticks from Pinkies."
"Of course you did... wanna toss me one?"
*Crack*
Although it was very dim compared to the rest of the forest it might as well be a flood light. After about 20 more minutes of searching.
"I found it!"
Scion hurried over to Joseph
"All of this just for a gray beanie with a pony on it."
"Hey! Not just anypony, it's Derpy everyone loves Derpy!"
"Don't know who that is... and don't really care!" Scion replied coldly
"Of course you don't, well lets get out of here...oh"
even though it was only a few hours in the afternoon the forest was so dense that the only visible light was Joseph and Scions' Glow sticks.
"Oh great now were lost...whats that sound?"
Both Joseph and Scion were beginning to hear rustling in the forest.
"Probably just some rabbits or something,"
Scion waved off the sound but Joseph knew better.
"Scion rabbits don't come out this far only a few things do and I think we just got trapped by some!" Joseph said, his voice slightly panicked,
The rustling began to come from every direction and green eyes were appearing in the darkness of the forest.
"Oh.."
Scion was backing away slowly from them,
"Any plans Scion?" Joseph whined, obviously scared,
"Why are you asking me?" He whispered back, "This was YOUR idea!"
Even though Scion wanted Joseph to, he made a plan in his head and ran through most of scenarios. But only one idea would even have a chance to work since he didn't know what was in those bushes, he grabbed Joseph's and his own glow stick a chucked them at the things in the bushes. The two boy's eyes were visible in the darkness and Joseph's black ones were glaring at Scion's,
"Why did you just-"
As soon as Joseph saw the creatures in the soon disappearing light, he instantly recognized them.
"Scion those are timberwolves!" He said, now his eyes were glowing white, while widened,
"And what are those?" Scion asked a simple question with his glowing eyes glaring ahead, but either way he guessed a Timberwolf was something with wolves and wood,
"Well just as the name suggest wolves made out of wood but they're just as bad as real wolves."
"And just as the situation would suggest, you need to be quiet so we can escape..."
That got Joseph to go silent very quickly. Both Scion and Joseph began to quietly sneak away while the Timberwolves where still busy with the glow stick, but needless to say that didn't last very long as the Timberwolves began to turn back to the duo as they made a break for it. A problem soon became very clear after the first few seconds.
"I know that throwing the glow sticks was a good escape strategy, but how are we suppose to get of here?" Joseph suddenly whined,
"Look I know it's hard to see..." Scion said, trying not yell at his friend, "But isn't it better than fighting those Timberwolf things right? Besides, now that they're distracted, we have more time to figure out the path..."
"Yeah I guess so.... If we could actually see a path!" Joseph cried, earning a sigh from Scion for two reasons,
"First, the idiot forgets to lower his voice and second, still forgets we took multiple paths..."
while feeling around so he didn't bump into any trees, which this place was covered in, Scion continued to lead. For minutes, they trekked forward with thoughts their diversion wasn't going to last. Once they heard rustling bushes behind them, growling and footsteps echoing behind them. The teens quickened their pace. Continuing through the darkness. Eventually they found some light, a few seconds after a sign with the pony equivalent of a skull and crossbones was visible.
"Finally!" Joseph cried, "We made it to the entrance...Well exit now but still we made it!"
"Well....now that's over..." Scion started, "Any other plans that can lead to disaster?"
"Hmm..."
Joseph began to think of something else to do when he began to here a vibrating sound.
"Hey whats that?"
He looked around for a second when a thought came to his mind. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone.
"Hey look I can't believe this made it..Actually I can't believe I forgot about it up until now."
the Phone was vibrating telling him it was almost dead and while it may have been counter productive it did it's job warning him of what would happen if it didn't get plugged in soon.
"Oh crap it's almost dead. know a place with an outlet?...and a charger?"
"No now that you mention i didn't see any outlets whatsoever but maybe i wasn't paying attention very much."
At those word Joseph facepalmed as he just remembered a very important fact.
"Ugh I forgot everything runs on magic here there is no electricity. Wait maybe I can get Twilight to help me out TO THE LIBRARY!"
Joseph broke into a run...in the wrong direction.
"The other way!"
"Right!"
As Joseph corrected his direction Scion started to run after him because the last thing he needs is to be lost in a town full of talking ponies.
--------Outside The Library--------
Scion noticed that Joseph stopped in his tracks a little ways outside the library looking at something in the sky.
"Oh crap..."
"What?"
"I forgot something again."
"What is it this time?"
"We have a meeting with her majesty."
Scion completely forgot about that.
My Little Crazy Adventure
Meeting Her Royal Highness
--------Meanwhile In The Library--------
"Where are they?"
Twilight was pacing back and forth felling slightly panicked over the fact that if they show up soon she'll seem like a liar to her princess and teacher.
"If Celestia gets here before they do-"
Suddenly the door burst open with Scion falling on the floor in a rush while Joseph calmly walked in.
"We're here! Are we late?" Scion asked getting up from the floor.
Twilight looked visibly relived.
"No thankfully not, but she'll be here any second."
Perfectly on cue there was a knock on the door.
"Oh that should be her!"
Twilight opened the door and in came Celestia her very presents filling the room with a sort of warmth. Joseph approached her first with a small smile on his face. Knowing Joseph, Scion began to worry about what he was going to do.
"Your majesty."
He stopped in front of her and went to one knee to show respect, he then proceeded to take one of her front hooves in his hand and kiss the top of it.
"I've been awaiting the day I got to meet you and I must say, word do no justice to describe your beauty."
Twilight and Celestia were both very confused (Celestia mostly faltered) as to what just happened, Scion on the other hand simply face-palmed.
"What...the hell?" He mumbled, slightly disgusted. Sucking up wasn't something he ever did, but apparently Joseph has no problem with it... "Uh...that's just an custom we have for royalty where we're from....except that we don't have them anymore..."
"Doesn't mean, I shouldn't pay my respects."
Scion sighed, shaking his head,
"Doesn't mean you should do it like that either....."
Joseph looked back to Celestia.
"Anyways I'm sure you have plenty to do so please let me explain, you see me and my friend have been transported to this beautiful land by unknown people and unknown means, now I for one am fine with this but my friend here wants to head back home for reasons I'm sure you can understand. Now Twilight here said that she would try to find a way to get us back but I'm sure you know as well as I that she may need help even is she is very powerful. So who else to turn to then the most powerful of alicorns. No offense to your sister, of course..."
"Joseph and his power of sucking up..." Scion thought,
"I will admit...it's a little pathetic, but he is trying to get you home!" Eve thought back, Scion almost yelled out loud,
"Eve? Your alright?"
"Yeah....my body's still in bad shape but, I'm able to talk to you again at least..."
Scion could have sworn he heard a nervous laugh, what was exactly funny? She took a deadly spell head on and disappeared out of sight, the boy almost thought he was the reason she got killed. He was relieved and worried, but decided not to say anymore,
"As long as your alright now...try not to talk to me too much, the ponies around here might get suspicious..."
Scion put his attention back to Joseph flattering the princess,
"Now all complement aside I want to ask you. Can you get my friend home?"
Celestia had to think about everything she was just told.
"This Joseph certainly is a strange one. Though he is a gentlecolt and to the point hmm.."
After a few silent moments she spoke.
.
"I cannot make any promises but I'll see what I can do. It may take some time though, Even if I have my best and brightest unicorns help find something."
Joseph nodded and smiled.
"Thank you princesses all I can ask is that you try."
She was about to leave but she turned around and asked.
"By the way, how did you know about my sister?"
"Well think about it there's a princess that controls the sun so there has to be one to control the moon, and as for the gender well that was just a lucky guess, oh and when you get back can you tell her I said hello?"
"I'll make sure she gets the message."
When the sun goddess was gone Joseph turned to Scion.
"Well that went well."
"..." Scion blinked with the irritated look that was growing on him,
"What? It did, didn't it?"
Scion turned away and glared, irritated to the side,
"You really know how to make a situation a lot more awkward then it needs to be...you know that?"
Joseph put a cocky smile on.
"I don't know about awkward but I do know how to make thing speed up, besides now we look good to the princess."
Joseph began to walk out the door.
"Well I'm going to Pinkie's you do what you want, and thinks for calling Celestia over Twilight!"
Twilight blinked a few times only hearing the word thanks.
"Oh, your welcome!"
Scion found no significance staying in the Library either and left with a very plain, 'goodbye'
Twilight was left standing there for a good 5 minutes thinking about what Joseph had said and did.
"I didn't think he was like that at all, and it was strange how Scion didn't even try to help in getting himself back home.."
She let the thought linger in her mind as she headed up to her bedroom to call it a night.
Scion stood at the hill just beyond the entrance of Ponyville again. There was ash on the grass that left deadly, pungent smells as he pasted. Scion thought hard to himself as he moved away from the previous battle area,
"I'm being hunted, and all because of this necklace..." He knew so little about the golden accessory, it had images of his Mom and who he thought could be his Dad. There was a pony spirit inside, that knew about him. Then these cloaked guys came out and wanted it...that proved he shouldn't give it up. There is some reason why he has this and should keep it away from them. He didn't have the slightest idea what they'd want with it anyway. "No reason to think to hard abo-"
CRACK
"Oh crap."
Scion turned on his heels after hearing a stick breaking. At first worried it was someone else that wanted to do him harm, but he visibly relaxed seeing it was only Joseph.
"What do you want?"
Joseph smiled and scratched his neck while.
"Well after yesterday I wanted to know where you decide to go for the night.. and I got to say good choice, nothing beats laying under the stars... well almost nothing."
Joseph dropped his smile noticing something for the first time.
"Hey what's with the burn marks on the floor?"
Scion turned back around, dodging the question and looking up again.
"You don't need to know..." He said softly,
Joseph not wanting to get on Scion's bad side put the question aside.
"Alright but I hope you can tell me later."
Joseph took a seat and looked up to the sky.
"Hey Scion?"
"Yea?"
"Why do you think we got sent here?"
"What do you mean?"
Joseph stood back up.
"Well I mean think about it, these strange people with the abilities to send us to another universe of all the choices they decide to send us to Equestria. The land known for being friendly and happy most, if not all of the time."
Sitting down Joseph continued.
"And we could have been tossed to some hellish universe to be killed almost instantly, or an empty space of nothingness forever, but no instead we're here. Why do you think that's so?"
"I think we were just lucky." Scion responded, "I see no reason we were sent here personally..."
"I guess your right. I just hope our luck keeps up, at least until you can get home."
Joseph looked to Scion and noticed something sticking out of his pocket.
"Hey what's that?"
"What's what?"
Scion reached into his pocket and pulled out his GBA.
"How did this get here...I thought I left it at home, well now I have something to kill time with."
He tried to turn it on but to no avail.
"Great the batteries are dead."
Joseph had an idea.
"Can I see that?"
"Yea, here, can't use it anyways."
Joseph pocketed the mini entertainment system.
"I'll see if I can get Twilight to help us both out with our power problems tomorrow."
Both were quiet as the sun set and the moon came up.
"Well I guess I'll go to Pinkie's for the night, you sure you don't want to come along? I can have Pinkie be quiet for the night if you want."
Scion thought for a moment on that based on what happened the other night he decided.
"The fact that your asking makes me think there's a reason you want me to....What is it?"
"Come on Scion, you sleep outside why would I need a reason to ask besides that, just trying to look out for my friend."
Joseph was speaking honestly, not wanting him to be in any trouble.
"The burn mark was the dead-giveaway for something wrong. Even if I can't force you to come I can invite you over."
Joseph paused looking back at the raising moon.
"I got to go soon, you coming or not?"
Scion thought quickly, it was for his and Pinkie's safety,
"I'll have to politely decline that..."
Joseph sighed.
"Alright then I'll see ya tomorrow. let's meet outside of Pinkie's okay?"
Scion nodded and watched as his friend slid down the hill to Ponyvile. He turned away to look at the moon, it always was breath taking to him. Something about it was particularly interesting, he just didn't know what. For hours, he could watch it like a T.V. set, there wasn't a thing he needed to know about the moon; except why he felt like someone was watching over him as he was doing with the circular, gray rock. The more he thought about the more he thought he was crazy, No one lives on the moon and aliens aren't real. He decided to enjoy the sight and try to forget about what had been happening.....for now...
--------The Next Morning--------
Scion woke up to the sun beaming on his face not sure when he fell asleep. The boy sighed and forced his legs to move. Quickly going to Sugar Cube Corner, for once it was quiet in town.
"GOOD MORNING EQUESTRIA!"
Of course is wouldn't last long due to Joseph's nature.
"Oh hey Scion, I'll be right down!"
Joseph was talking out of the front window in Pinkie's room.
"Who's that Joseph?"
Pinkie was heard from the room. Joseph disappeared into the room voice still audible.
"It's Scion, were going to go out and talk to Twilight."
"That sounds fun! Can I come along?"
"I'll ask him."
Joseph went back to the widow.
"You don't mind if Pinkie comes along, right?"
"Not really..." Scion yawned, perhaps it had been to early for him to wake up, too late now though,
Joseph turned back to Pinkie.
"He said yes."
"Alright!"
Pinkie came out of the window.
"We'll be right down!"
In a few moments both Pinkie and Joseph were out the door and heading to Twilight's.
"Let's go!"
My Little Crazy Adventure
--------Golden Oaks Library--------
Twilight was in her room lying on her bed reading, as usual. That was until she heard a knock on her door.
"Spike can you get that?"
Spike was downstairs doing a few chores when he heard the knock.
"Sure thing Twilight!"
The knocking continued, as he was getting to the door. Only increasing in volume.
"Hold on a sec, I'm coming!"
Opening the door he saw Joseph talking to Scion still knocking on where the door was. Upon noticing that he wasn't hitting anything he stopped.
"Oh, hi Spike is Twilight here?
"Yea, let me go get her."
Spike closed the door and ran upstairs.
"It's Joseph he said he want's to see you."
"Really? I wonder why."
Spike shrugged his shoulders and walked downstairs to finish his chores. Twilight put her book down and followed him down opening the door again.
"Hey Twilight! I brought Pinkie and Scion I hope you don't mind."
"Not at all."
"Okay good, um you don't mind if we come in right this may take awhile."
"Oh sure, come on in."
Twilight lead them to the kitchen so they could sit, Scion very quickly finding out that pony chairs are much shorter than normal ones.
"So what brings you here?"
"Just a few questions. What do you do for power in Equestria?"
The next hour or so went by in a long lecture about the topic. Scion almost passing out of boredom, and Pinkie talking to Spike, who finish his chores a little while ago. Joseph on the other hand was listening very intensely. Once she was done her rant Joseph had just one comment.
"So in layman's terms, power comes from magic gems?"
"I suppose in the simplest terms."
Twilight at hearing this blushed, embarrassed that she over complicated such a simple question.
"Are you kidding me! all that for a simple Magic answer?"
Scion couldn't believe what he was hearing, but then again it wouldn't be the strangest thing if he did.
"Anyways" Joseph continued.
"That bring me to my next question, do you have any batteries?"
Twilight brought her hoof to her chin in thought.
"Well from the way you describe them I don't think their are any crystals that are so small, let alone the same size."
"Alright, last question, can you recharge any of the batteries?"
"That might be a bit easier, maybe finding a way to shift the energy from crystal to the batteries. So yes, most likely."
Joseph was happy to here the news.
"Now for a request."
He took out his phone and Scion's GBA.
"Can you charge these batteries?"
Twilight looked at what Joseph was holding out, never seeing anything like them before, well maybe the GBA, but never the phone.
"What is that?"
Twilight was pointing at the phone.
"Oh well this is..."
Now it was Joseph's turn to lecture, he went into great detail about everything the phone can do, Twilight particularly interested in the music, and video players, Scion was a little more interested when he said some things he didn't even know about.
"And with a little help from a friend of mine I was able to get this thing to call LAN numbers, or phones in a certain range, it's about a 2 mile radius."
Joseph looked over to Scion.
"For example, If I call up Scion his phone should..."
Suddenly the theme for Diamond Dusk (Act 1) started playing, along with the sound of vibrations.
"Start ringing. Now you can guess that due to the lack of phones around here it's more of a walkie-talkie here, but still it is useful."
"Wait how dose it really work?"
Twilight was still a little confused on the subject, Joseph noticed that Scion was starting to lose interest and decided to wrap it up.
"Well I'd love to stay and chat buuut.. my phone seems to be almost dead. If and when it can be charged then I'll go further into it, but right now I can't. So back to the question at hand. Can you charge the batteries?"
Twilight took the GBA and two phones and began to inspect them.
"It will take some time, but I'll see what I can do." She said with a smile. Happy both at the fact that she was helping a friend, and at the opportunity to take a look at the technology Scion and Joseph had brought with them.
"Sweet! Thanks Twilight!" He took one of Twilight's hooves and started to shake it violently.
"N-n-not a-a-a p-p-pro-b-b-blem."
He took a second to look at his shirt.
"Now if we could only get some new clothes."
Pinkie popped into the conversation.
"Oh I know! we can go and visit Rarity!"
Joseph looked at Pinkie and facepalmed
"Duh! how can I forget about her? The one fashion pony you know, let's go!"
Scion felt a little uneasy at the description.
"Why do I have the feeling that I'm not going to like this? What's wrong with my clothes?" Scion looked down at his jeans and saw what Joseph was hinting at. "A little dirt isn't going to kill me..."
"Stop whining let's go!" Joseph started out the door followed by Scion then Pinkie. Before he closed the door Joseph turned to Twilight.
"Oh and if it does work and we're not here just send us a letter. Thanks Twilight!"
"Okay, I'll see what I can do. Good luck with the clothes!"
When everyone was finally gone Twilight picked up the objects Joseph left behind to take a closer look at them.
"This may take a while, Spike can you find me a book on electricity?"
--------A Few Blocks Down The Street--------
"I still don't see why we need new cloths." The party of three were heading to the another one of Pinkie's friends house.
"Well think about it, We're on a different planet, we may be stuck here for days or even weeks, and we don't have any place to shower." Joseph looked thoughtful for a moment. "Actually I do, but no way of washing my cloths."
"I guess that's a valid point, but can't we just-" Scion almost asked about purchasing cloths when he realized that they had no money of any kind.
"Hey how are we going to get cloths without any, what are they called, bits?"
"Well Scion, I'll let that question answer itself once we get to our destination."
As though on cue Joseph stopped. "And what do you know, we're there."
Scion looked at the building before them, it was much taller than the usual houses, topped with a cone roof instead of a flat, or triangular one, the roof itself had a pink and white checker pattern, while the walls were mostly a sky blue with a very elegant design around the windows, between the bottom of the roof and the top of the windows was what looked like a carousel, it even had pony mannequins.
"Well that's fancy."
"Yea that's Rarity for ya."
At the name Scion instantly remembered why he had a bad feeling.
"Wait you mean this is where 'She' lives?"
"Well yea, what did you expect?"
"Oh God, this won't end well."
Pinkie, who was right behind Scion, knocked on the door. a small white filly was standing in the doorway looking up at Pinkie.
"Oh hey Sweetie Belle!"
"Uh hi Pinkie, what do you need?"
"I have somepony I need to introduce to Rarity!"
Scion felt worse as the name was said again.
"Oh sure thing Pinkie!" Without giving Scion or Joseph a glance, she turned back inside closing the door behind her.
"Rarity, you have somepony here to see you!"
Soon the door opened again, this time Rarity was there.
"Why hello Pinkie Pie, what are you doing here?"
Thinking what that could imply she quickly corrected herself.
"Not that I don't enjoy your visiting, just curious."
Scion had the urge to call this new pony a bitch, but felt it wouldn't help. Besides she probably wouldn't get the implications of the word.
"I have some people to introduce you to!"
Rarity seemed a little confused with the way Pinkie said that.
"Don't you mean ponies dear?"
"Nope people, look!"
Moving out of the way, she let Rarity see who she was talking about.
"That one on the left it Joseph, he's super fun to be around!"
Joseph waved in Rarities direction.
"And that one on the right is Scion, he's a bit of a grump at times, but still a nice guy."
Scion was giving Rarity a look, staring daggers at her, this made Rarity feel very uncomfortable. To the point where she wanted to change the subject.
"Well thats...interesting."
An in attempt to break the ice Joseph walked up to Rarity with an outstretched hand.
"Hi, as Pinkie said, I'm Joseph I heard a lot about you and what you do, but that aside. It's a pleasure to meet you."
It seemed that Joseph's plan worked, Rarity shook hands/hooves with Joseph looking visibly calmer.
"Really, how did you hear of me?"
Joseph didn't reply but rather pointed at Pinkie.
"Oh, I see, well as I'm sure you know. I'm Rarity and this is the-"
"Carousel Boutique, sorry but again Pinkie. Anyways I need to ask you a few questions. Do you mind if we step in?"
Rarity seemed surprised at how 'to the point' Joseph was.
"Uh, well of course, this way."
Even as Joseph and Pinkie entered Scion was very hesitant to join them.
"Do we have to?"
Scion whispered to Joseph trying to get out of the situation.
"Depends do you mind being dressed like everyone else here?"
Scion thought about it for a second before entering the store.
Inside was just as done up as the outside, somewhere near the back of the room was a stairway leading to the second floor as well as a door to what looked like a kitchen from where he was. In the main room there was a big platform with mirrors around it, with a door close by, most likely for a costumer to take a look at what there wearing from all angles. Over near the stairway there was a giant curtain, probably for changing behind or for a makeshift storage place.
"Good to see that the theme of elegant s goes throughout the building, very nice."
"Well I do try to keep the place tidy, now to your questions."
Joseph extended his hand to Pinkie who pulled a quill and paper seemingly out of nowhere.
"Let's see ah yes, first, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you perhaps spare us some rags, we need to keep clean and wash our cloths as you may be able to understand, and we're good for it, we promise to payback whatever we owe you as soon as we can."
Rarity put her hoof up to her chin in though.
"Well I was going to ask you about your attire, it dose seem rather, different than what I'm used to, but I need to know, why do you need-"
Before she could finish Joseph whispered something into her ear.
"Oh! I see.""
Rarity had a blush that stood out on her white fur, as well as Pinkie as she remembered what he said.
"Well in that case I'm sure I can do something."
"Really? Thanks, just tell us how much it'll be and well pay a-"
"Up, I will hear nothing of the sort, in your case of necessity I see no reason for you having to do so."
Joseph knew full-well that Rarity was the element of generosity but he didn't actually think she would go that far, and all he could do was stare open mouthed in surprise.
"Are you sure about that?"
To this Joseph received a sharp jab from Scion.
"Uh I mean, Thank a lot Rarity."
"Thank nothing of it, and besides now I get to work with a new model I've never seen before, now if you would step in here so I can take your measurements."
She was motioning at one of the changing rooms.
"Oh, sure thing."
Joseph and Rarity went in and a few minutes later walked out.
"Sweet, your turn Scion."
To say that Scion was a little hesitant was an understatement, he didn't even want to be here let alone go in to a room with Rarity being the only other person there.
"Do I have to?" Scion whispered to Joseph.
"That depends, do you want any cloths?"
"Ugh...Fine."
A few seconds after Scion walked into the room he was walking right back out.
"NO! I'm willing to do some strange things in this world but THAT is crossing the line!"
"What is it?"
"She wants me to get naked!"
"That is not what I said, I simply asked that you get to your underwear so I can get more accurate measurements."
Joseph just rolled his eyes.
"Oh come on Scion, stop being such a baby, it'll take a few seconds. Besides I did it with no problems and so can you."
"That isn't a fair comparison!"
"What you want me to take the measurements, because if she can't no one can now go in there and get it over with!"
Joseph finished with a point to the changing room.
Out of options and wanting to freshen up he, very hesitantly went back into the changing room. A few minutes later they both walked out Rarity with the measurements and Scion with the feeling of being violated.
"That's just about everything I need to make you something fast so you can freshen up."
"Thanks a ton Rarity I really do appreciate it, but we do have someone else we have to see. When do you think they'll be done?"
"Well.." She took a look at the clipboard in her magic grasp and then at the two teens. "I would say they would be done sometime tomorrow if you can wait that long."
"If that's what it takes for you to work your magic then I don't have a problem. How about you Scion?"
Scion was quietly muttering to himself. "Yea sure, whatever. Can we go now?"
"Ugh, sorry but we gotta split thanks again!" Joseph said as he, Scion and Pinkie all walked out.
As they began to get distance from the building Scion had to ask. "Uh where are we going?"
"I didn't tell you? Well were going to visit the only pony we haven't yet and that's-"
"Fluttershy!" Pinkie interrupted.
"I thought we already saw her."
"Scion, you bumped into her on the streets. a probably scared her half-to death. That's not a visit, now come on she lives this way I think."
A few more minutes of walking landed them in a rather familiar area as Fluttershy lived next to the only entrance/exit to the Everfree. The first thing Scion noticed, actually paying attention to the home, was all of the bird houses as well as the small bridge looking land over the stream. The house itself seemed like a hill with windows and a door as well as a chimney popping out of the top.
"How can she take care if so many animals AND live next to that forest if seeing me caused her to run off?."
"Two reasons. First she loves and can communicate with animals, it's her special talent, and two your something she never seen before and bigger than her. As for the Everfree, well your guess is as good as mine."
As they approached the door Joseph stopped them.
"Oh before we go Pinkie should introduce us, after all Flutters doesn't even know us. We might scare her or worse."
"Ugh alright, we'll be here."
Pinkie bounced to the door while Joseph and Scion stayed back to Fluttershy some space before they meet her.
"What are we doing after this?"
"Hmm. Not sure actually, we've seen the main six right?"
"I think so. How long did Celestia say until we- I mean I can get home?"
"She didn't, she said that her best are searching for a way."
"Oh god dammit."
"Look on the bright side at least we can chill here for a little while."
Joseph noticed that Pinkie was signaling them over.
"Come on, looks like she's ready."
Once they were close Joseph noticed that Pinkie was blocking Flutters view of them.
"We're here!"
Pinkie moved aside so they could see. Now that he was looking right at her Scion couldn't help but think..
"Wow, I don't know why but she looks kinda. What's the word?"
"Adorable?" Eve replied.
"I was thinking 'cute' but I guess that works."
There were a few moments of silence as Joseph hoped Scion would be able to first speak to Fluttershy. Of course he didn't so Joseph stepped up and started to really introduce them.
"Excuse me. Yes, hi I'm Joseph and the boy you were just staring at is Scion. Now I'm not sure what Pinkie told you about us but from what my friend here told me you two have already 'bumped into each other'. I should also mention our spices shouldn't I? Well were humans or if you prefer homo-sapiens. Any questions so far?"
Fluttershy can only quietly shake her head as she took in this sudden information.
"Good" Joseph continued "Now as for why we're here..."
Joseph stopped unable to think of any reason for them being their.
"Well I guess we're here to introduce ourselves, oh and clear up the incident with my buddy Scion here. Ya see we're not from here, in fact, we come from another world all together..."
In a spur of the moment Joseph began to retell the short story of their arrival to Equetria and Ponyvile.
"...And that brings us here, paying a visit to you."
Fluttershy and Pinkie were both sitting, listening to Joseph's tail. Scion on the other hand was on the floor asleep from boredom.
"Oh my, being tossed from your home and world into one completely new. Sounds frightening." Fluttershy said noticeably shivering when she did.
Joseph was happy he was able to get her to speak up.
"Don't worry, I'm easy to adapt to as well as a fast learner. Scion on the other hand is finding this, well annoying I think. That's why he's trying to find a way home."
Joseph then looked to both side and said in a hushed tone, for dramatic effect.
"But I'm staying here."
Fluttershy gasped in shock that Joseph was going to stay.
"But don't you miss you friends and family?"
Joseph took on a more grave look at the mention of his family.
"Yea, I did."
Before it could linger Joseph sprang back.
"And besides this place is awesome, surrounded by friendly faces, the food is way healthier then anything back there and I have a TON more stuff I can learn."
Joseph had an Idea.
"Speaking of friendly faces, do you think Scion and I can get a pet?"
As quickly as she opened up she clammed up.
"I..uh...well...I-I don't know...
Joseph sighed.
"Aww well, was worth a shot. Any ways Scion and I should get going, gotta check up on a few things. Thanks for letting up visit, it was a pleasure to see you. Come on Scion, Pinkie. Let's go, see ya Flutters!"
Walking back to town Joseph noticed that the sun had about 2-3 hours until it would start to set.
"Hmm...Let's get back to Twilight's I want to test something."
Scion looked at Joseph with an arched brow.
"Like what?"
"Nothing really, just want to see what kind of books she has."
On their way for one more stop at Golden Oaks, Joseph noticed a certain grey pegasus in the sky. He was grinning at the site, that was until she started to spiral out of control heading straight for him.
"Oh shi-"
CRASH!
On his back with the pony on his chest, Joseph was wondering if this is how Scion felt.
"Ouch, uh excuse me miss. Mind getting off of my ribs?
Scion didn't see her until the landing. seeing her now he noticed her blond mane and tail as well as her bright grey fur.
"Huh, oh I'm sorry. Didn't see ya there."
"It's alright, just be a bit more careful next time. Anyways I'm-"
But she was already gone before Joseph could introduce himself.
"Well that was sudden, anyways let's head back to the library."
Meanwhile, unseen to Scion and Joseph a certain solar princess was heading to the same place with some shocking news...
My Little Crazy Adventure
--------Golden Oaks--------
Joseph was looking around Twilight's library for a few books to check out while he was here. Scion was in the kitchen talking to the only other guy he knows, Spike. The topic was Rarity.
"So we went to Rarity's earlier today, it was a bit weird all things considered."
"You went to see Rarity. Why didn't you tell me?"
Scion was confused for a second before he put two and two together.
"Why would you- Oh, I see how it is."
Scion had a quick mental image of what that would look like.
"Bleck, Anyways you never brought it up. You wouldn't of wanted to be there anyways."
"Why not?"
"It's just that it was boring. waited a bit, got our measurement taken, that was the awkward part, and was told how long until we could get something to change into."
"I guess."
Joseph walked in at that moment with books in tow.
"Alright good news, bad news and great news!"
"Alright, whats the good news?"
Joseph put down his books.
"The good news is their writing just so happens to be in our English, I can read books!"
"Bad news?"
"We have no money, and therefor need to get jobs."
He pulled out his pockets to make a point.
"Great news is we have batteries!"
Joseph tossed the GBA at Scion.
"They charge on the magic in the area, but prolonged use can still kill them."
For once something he could be happy about.
"Sweet!"
He flicked the small system on to hear the familiar chime of it starting up.
"Finally something to do while we wait."
Then he notice the empty slot on top.
"Or not, forgot I don't have any games on me."
Joseph grinned as he presented his phone.
"Don't worry, I downloaded a ton before we got here. Wanna play some PvZ, how about a bit of Worms?"
Unlocking the phone Joseph handed it to Scion with the game starting.
"Now I have some books and you have some games. Now let's get going I need to see if the Cakes could use a hand. Plus it's getting late again. Come on guys."
As Joseph opened the door Celestia landed in front of him.
"Oh, or we could get a visit from the princess. Hello your highness."
Joseph stepped aside to let her in.
Celestia came in almost completely ignoring Joseph, and spoke only to Scion.
"Scion, I have new on how to get you home."
In shock on how quickly she was able to do this Scion dropped Joseph's phone. Cracking the screen.
"Hey! Aw man, that sucks."
He received looks from those in the room.
"My phone breaking, not the news. Go on Celestia."
"As I was saying. When I presented your problem to my top unicorns they had a solution, or at least a theoretical solution, in a matter of hours."
Scion was now standing in anticipation at the thought of going back home.
"Really, that fast?"
"Yes, but it will take a lot of magic, more that I alone have. Luna has agreed to help and I came here hoping that Twilight would do the same."
All eyes were now on Twilight.
"Of course, I want to help any way I can."
"Good, then we can get preparations ready tonight and with any luck. Get you back to your world."
"In that case." Joseph butted in.
"We should get home, we have to be ready for tomorrow. Come on Pinkie, Scion you go..Wherever you go to sleep. Celestia, Twilight I hope you have the best of luck in your preparations. Good night."
Joseph went out the door with Pinkie hopping right behind him.
Scion had a lot on his mind, mostly what he planned on doing once h got back to his world. Though he also had to think about how, especially the soon to be loss of his best friend. What would be next? The dimension hop would lead to him getting plunged into a disaster? Would it all be for not..?
"Hey, wait up!" Scion urged, suddenly out the door.
If he was gonna lose his best pal, might as well make some memories of him before leaving in this dimension. It might seem weird at first to do the activities the ponies do, but it would be worth it.
"Scion? You want to come over for the night?" Joseph was very surprised to hear this, but very happy to know.
"In that case follow me my good man, and we shale show you how to have a grand time!"
The trio made their way to Sugar Cube Corner. Stopping just outside the door.
"Alright Scion let me and Pinkie go first, I'll tell you when to come in."
Scion gave a shrug and waited outside for a minute or two before he was waved in. Inside all the lights were out and the atmosphere was surprisingly tense.
"Uh, Joseph?"
Then in a blinding flash all the lights came back on followed by a deafening "SURPRISE!"
"Ahh! What the h-"
Once Scion could see what he saw was something he, somehow, didn't see coming. The whole bakery was filled with ponies of different sizes and colors, oh the colors.
"Scion, even though your going Pinkie and I thought that you should still get a 'Welcome to Ponyvile' party. So before you go we can have a blast and party till we pass out. WHOO!"
The rest of the ponies in the room cheered and started to converse with one another. A few walked up to the best friends with some questions. Reasonable ones like, 'what are you?', 'Where did you come from?", and 'Why are you always wearing cloths?'. Alright the last one may not be so reasonable but still expected.
What they didn't expect was a certain harp flanked mare to come barreling in from the crowd, practically tackling Scion to the floor. "Ah! Joseph get this mare off me!" Taking hold of her Joseph puled her off his poor friend.
"Lyra, what's gotten into you!?" A cream coated mare yelled running into the room.
"I'm sorry, I think she got bit too excited."
"You can say that again, you're Bon Bon right? If you don't already know, I'm Joseph and the man you friend just tackled is Scion."
"Good to meet you, I'd love to stick around and chat but I need to bring Lyra back home to calm down."
Bon Bon began to drag a fighting Lyra out the door of the bakery.
"Well that was sudden."
"Quite. I think I'll cover her questions tomorrow. After you go, don't need that again."
The night went on, more questions and some interesting goings on. Apparently sometime during the night words were exchanged and Joseph was challenged to a cupcake eating contest against Pinkie. To everyone's surprise, even Pinkie's, Joseph was able to keep up for about ten plates, but at eleven he began to slow a bit. By fifteen he was looking a little green. After sixteen he needed to excuse himself, most likely to empty his stuffed stomach. To no ones surprise Pinkie was the winner, being at plate twenty-five when Joseph had to go.
As the night began to turn to morning Scion found himself having more conversations then just answering questions. At around one in the morning the party was dying down as more and more ponies began to return to their homes. at two-thirty Pinkie called it and everyone went to bed, they did have to wake up in a few hours after all.
--------8:30 AM--------
Scion woke up to his internal alarm as he usually does. He saw both Pinkie and Joseph sound asleep, deciding not to wake them he silently went downstairs and out the door. Having time to himself he was able to appreciate the beauty of the morning in Ponyvile.
"I know the sun is being controlled by a magic alicorn princess, but it doesn't look to bad."
With the positive note in mind he made his way to the library.
--------Golden Oaks--------
Twilight, Celestia and Luna were in a triangle around a small, black, pyramid shaped Obelisk. This, of course, was the only necessary item needed. The hard part was having to focus enough magic into the Obelisk in order to open the proper portal. Everypony present was going over the procedure one last time when Scion came knocking.
"Scion, please come in." Celestia opened the door from where she was standing. "We were just going over how we're going to send you back home."
"Oh really, what should I do?" Scion wanted this to go as smoothly as possible, with no complications.
"All we need you to do is think about your home world, your desire to return, all that you miss. It helps to pinpoint what we're looking for."
Scion gave a nod in reply.
"Good, we can begin the process when your ready."
Scion knew he had nothing really holding him to this world anymore, well nothing but Joseph, with that he gained a look of determination.
"I'm ready." This time Celestia gave a nod.
"Then we shall begin."
With that the horns of the two princesses and Twilight began to glow and Scion closed his eyes to remember all he missed back home.
--------Sugar Cube Corner--------
Joseph was still asleep when he rolled off Pinkies bed. Landing face first on the floor immediately waking him and Pinkie.
"Huh, what? I'm awake!" He gave a startled look around not quite remembering where he was for a moment. In the same moment the previous night came rushing back to him.
"Ah now I remember, we had a lot of fun the other night right Scion, Scion?" He received no reply, to his amazement Scion had both woke up and left before him.
"Oh yea. He's going today." Joseph was going out of the room to enjoy a nice breakfast with Pinkie when he noticed something on the floor. It was Scion Gameboy.
"Is that? Oh crap, he'll want this back!"
Grabbing his phone, food, and his friends handheld he rushed out the door for Twilight's.
--------Golden Oaks--------
With thoughts in his mind he could hear the magic do it's, well, magic. The Obelisk in the center of the three began to grow taller, changing from black to a shining white. Through the center a black line made itself apparent seemingly splitting the Obelisk in two. The portal was almost open, with the most important things on his mind the slit began to get wider and wider, his world in sight. When suddenly he heard another sound, the sound of someone in a hurry.
"Scion!"
Joseph bust through Twilight's door, tripping over himself in the process. Unable to control himself he ran into Scion sending both Scion and himself into the now unstable portal. In a binding flash of light the two humans were gone. Leaving nothing but a scorch on Twilight's floor.
"What was that?!" Twilight asked in a panic.
"I believe it was Joseph." All present had a worried expression on there faces.
"Oh, I hope they made it back safely."
--------To be continued--------
My Little Crazy Adventure
"Ugh what happened?"
Scion began to get up from the floor only to stop when he noticed some things strange.
He wasn't home. and 2. He was in fact back in the Everfree, And 3. He couldn't feel his hands.
"Why can't I feel my-"
He stopped mid sentence to see a horrifying sight he looked at where his hand was supposed to be but, in it's place was a hoof and that alone was enough to make him scream.
"...AAHHHHHHHH!!!" The scream awoke Joseph and pulled Scion back from the edge of his sanity.
"What happened, is someone hurt?" Joseph looked over to the source of the noise to see a silver gray pegasus with a dark blue mane and no cutie mark. Then he noticed that said pony was panicking as both sat in the Everfree.
"...Who are you and why did you bring me here?!" Joseph yelled pointing a hoof and the pony and it was at that moment he noticed his hoof and put two and two together.
"Scion?" he asked his friend. Scion looked over to the pony speaking to him, a dark green unicorn with a light brown mane and with what appeared to be the four different buttons as a cutie mark. The one he thought was his friend, closed his eyes and looked down,
"....."
He said nothing and took in a large breath.
"Why....?"
"Uh, give me a sec to think."
Joseph took a little while to figure out the situation and come up with some kind of answer for his friend
"Well from what happened in, what I hope was, a little while ago. I think that the portal you were about to enter became very unstable as soon and the consintration of Twilight and the princesses were interrupted. Though why exactly we're ponies in the Everfree now is beyond me.
Scion looked over to his friend,
"So let me get this straight this is all your fault?"
Joseph looked away from Scion.
"Well um yes, yes it is"
Scion glared at Joseph and then gave a sigh.
"If I had my hands I would be strangling you right now.."
Joseph just nervously laughed and got up.
"Well I guess it's a good thing you don't."
Just as Scion was attempting to get up once more the two friends noticed a rustling sound from behind them.
"Oh crap, that better not be more or those wolf things from earlier."
Scion wanted nothing to do with those especially given his current state.
Joseph began in a hushed tone. "I don't think that's a Timberwolf Scion I think it's another pony. Hello who's there?"
Out of the darkness a dark pink pegasus with a straight pink and gray mane and purple eyes walked out with a cutie mark of music bars in a "Z" pattern.
"Scion, Joseph is that you?"
Both of them stayed still recognizing the voice but nether of them believed that it was her, Scion hoped that it wasn't. After a few seconds of silence Joseph spoke up.
"Colette?"
He asked, to confirm his answer the pony smiled.
Joseph was happy to see another good friend but still had a few questions.
"But how did you get here? I thought you were supposed to be back at home."
At this Colette lost her smile as she began to explain.
"Well I was and then you guys went missing, everyone was worried sick, but that's when these weird guys with cloaks on and they had supernatural powers. They wanted Scion because he had a golden necklace..and they checked his house. So when they realized one of their men sent you to another dimension, they began tearing the place apart and setting things aflame....I passed out and woke up here..."
Colette finished with a sigh.
"So everyone we knew.."
"Gone.."
Scion started growling, full of rage,
"So they want this necklace that badly? They're not getting it....not for what they did to my sister!" Scion eyes changed color,
"S-S-Scion?" Colette stammered, scared at his sudden anger,
"I'm going to get them for this..." A black aura flowed around Scion's new body, followed by him growing a deep and cold tone of voice.
"Oh crap." Joseph knew better than to let Scion stay like this for long so he ran up to him grabbed his shoulders and shook him.
"Scion! you need to calm down, there's a time and place for anger but now isn't ether of them!"
Scion started showing signs of calming down, soon he was back to normal, or as normal as he can be.
"Good, now we need to figure out where we are and how to get out of here."
Joseph looked for his phone but soon remembered his new lack of pockets.
"Damn it."
"What?"
Joseph started to frantically search the ground.
"I lost my phone, help me look for it!"
Scion rolled his eyes.
"Another search?"
"Yes another search, do you or don't you want to get out here?"
Both Scion and Colette began to help Joseph in his search, in a few seconds it was over.
"Found it!" Colette said giving it to Joseph.
"Good, and thanks. While I was looking I found your GBA Scion." He handed the small system to his friend who didn't quite grasp how to hold things with his hooves. The Gameboy fell to the floor.
"Here I'll hold it for you." Colette balanced it on her back somehow.
"How, you know what. Never mind, now how are we getting out of here?"
Joseph tried to turn his phone on.
"Well that's a very good question Scion, turns out my phone needs a bit of time to charge up, and as fate would have it the Everfree is a major magic free zone. I guess we pick a direction and go that way."
Joseph still had his beanie, turning it inside out, he put his phone and Scions GBA inside. He then placed it on his head, surprisingly it was quite difficult to notice them beneath the hat.
"Now let's go and see what we can see."
They began to go straight ahead, no real sense of direction and only one destination in mind. Anywhere but the Everfree.
--------About 10 Minutes Later--------
"Alrighty, we're completely lost. Let me think on this."
Joseph gave a glance all around him, hoping to get an Idea. That's when he remembered what his best friend now was.
"Hey Scion. Can you fly up and take a look around?"
Scion looked up cautiously.
"Um..." Had Joseph not understand how foreign all this was to him? Walking was a task all by itself, and his new appendages didn't feel comfortable to him yet. Irritating just knowing they were in that position... "Probably not."
"Oh come on!" Joseph facehooved. "Fine, give me bit more time to think."
Looking up he remembered his horn.
"Oh yea, I'm a unicorn now. Alright let's see what we can do."
Closing his eyes he focused on his forehead, surprisingly it felt very easy and comfortable to use his new found magic. In a moment his horn was enveloped in a dark green glow.
"There we go! Not as hard as it seems, now let's get going."
Pushing on the group was lead by the light of Joseph's horn. As the forest became darker and darker the light seemed that much brighter. it seemed that they reached the deepest part of the Everfree.
"Do any of you see a path of some kind?" Joseph asked.
"Nothing but your horn."
"And trees, lots of trees." Colette added.
Joseph was about to give up when he saw a sparkling blue cloud zoom past him.
"Was that? Nah, can't be. Can it?" Joseph knew what it was but he also knew it already happened.
"What did you see?"
"Well if that is was I think it was, then not only are we in Equestria and stuck as ponies, but we also went back in time. That or we're in another timeline all together."
Joseph kept his calm for the most part, if only because he knew what was going to happen for the next year. As long as they don't mess with it too much. Scion was more worried now then when they first arrived.
"So now I have to be a pony for who knows how long? Just great, as if this could't get any worse."
Right on cue the trees around them began to glow red. Their once blank bark slowly morphed to screaming, shouting faces quietly growling at them. Before anyone could give a reaction the group heard a distinct 'Splat' sound close by, followed by.
"Oh wait, I think I stepped in somethin'." It was Applejack.
Rarity gave a screamed of terror.
"It's just mud...Ahh!"
It sounded like Applejack noticed the trees as well. Then suddenly all the girls began to scream. This made the three panic and hide behind the trees that didn't have faces. Though all the screaming however another sound was heard, it was laughter. This made everyone else stop screaming.
"Huh?" The other five said at once. Pinkie was making silly faces and noises at a tree.
"Pinkie, what are you doing?! Run!" Twilight said, genuinely worried.
Pinkie smiled on as music began in the background.
"Oh girls don't you see?"
Scion felt a song coming on, a look of dread of in face. Joseph and Colette felt it to, both smiling at the thought.
"When I was a little filly and the sun was going down..."
"Tell me she's not." Twilight didn't sound very pleased about the idea of a song.
"The darkness and the shadows, they would always make me frown..."
"She is." Rarity was just as displeased.
"I'd hide under my pillow
From what I thought I saw
But Granny Pie said that wasn't the way
To deal with fears at all."
"Then what is?" Rainbow wanted to get to the point.
"She said, 'Pinkie, you gotta stand up tall
Learn to face your fears
You'll see that they can't hurt you
Just laugh to make them disappear.'"
Pinkie turned and faced one of the trees.
"Ha Ha Ha!"
The twisted face on the tree vanished as she laughed. This make everyone gasp in surprise. Minus the three hiding.
"So, giggle at the ghostly
Guffaw at the grossly
Crack up at the creepy
Whoop it up with the weepy
Chortle at the kooky
Snortle at the spooky"
Each line was accompanied by one of the main six joining in on the laughter. Scion, with his hooves trying to cover his ears, checked on Joseph who looked as though he was about to burst.
"Oh no."
"And tell that big dumb scary face to take a hike and leave you alone and if he thinks he can scare you then he's got another thing coming and the very idea of such a thing just makes you wanna... hahahaha... heh..."
Looking back at Joseph, Scion saw that he was gone.
"Where did he...No!"
"Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuugh!" Pinkie and Joseph sang together. Joseph sliding in on his rear hooves. This made any laughter cease instantly.
"Uhh.....Hi?" Joseph looked a little confused, losing himself in the song.
"Crud. Come on out guys." Joseph said this with his head down.
Rainbow Dash immediately got in Joseph's face.
"Were you following us?"
"Well we-"
"Why did you tail us?"
"We didn't-"
"Who are you?"
"Well I'm-"
"Do you work for Nightmare Moon?"
"Why would I-"
"Who are your-"
"Now cut that out Rainbow. How can he answer anything with your constant questions?" Applejack pulled Rainbow Dash away from Joseph.
"Thank you for that."
Taking another look Joseph saw that everyone seemed very uncertain about the three.
"I can answer those questions now. First, we do not work for Nightmare Moon, in fact that's why we followed you in here. We tried to get away and well, you seemed like you knew what you were doing. Now as for names, I am Noble Fallen..." 'Noble' gestured to his friends.
"Uhh....I'm..." Scion started to panic and said the first two things that came to his head.
"Sonic Peace." 'Sonic' said with sweat on his brow.
Last was Colette. "And I'm Radiant Gale."
Noble gave a nod to his friends as he faced the main six again.
"With introductions out of the way, I hope you don't mind if we tag along. We kinda don't know how to get out of here."
The six looked less suspicious and more relaxed, well all but RD who still gave Noble a glare.
"I suppose, if you really don't know how to get back to Ponyvile." Twilight said, a hit of uncertainty in her voice.
"Oh thank you so much, we were afraid if we lost your trail we would be lost forever!"
And so, with Noble, Sonic, and Gale in tow the main six continued on.
--------Moments later--------
"...And then the duck said 'Can yo put it on my bill?'"
The group was heading to a clearing as Noble reached the punchline to a rather long joke. For this he earned a good laugh from all but Twilight, RD, and Sonic, the last facehoofed at him. Twilight simply didn't get it and RD still wasn't ready to fully trust any of the new three, though she did give a giggle.
"Thank you, thank you." Noble gave a wave with his eyes closed, as though he were on stage. By doing this he completely missed the rushing waters and almost ran right into them.
"Whoa!" Thankfully Sonic grabbed his tail stopping him right before he fell in.
"Thanks buddy." Noble gave a sheepish smile.
"Sure, just watch where you're going next time."
The rest of the group took a look at the rushing waters.
"How are we going to cross this?" Pinkie asked aloud.
Ears perked up Noble noticed the sound of crying somewhere nearby.
"You guys hear that?"
"Huh?"
Everyone looked over to the, just now noticed, sobbing sea-monster that was causing the tides.
"What a world, what a world. "
Everyone was still for a moment, then Twilight walked forward.
"Excuse me, sir. Why are you crying?"
"Well, I don't know. I was just sitting here, minding my own business, when this tacky little cloud of purple smoke just whisked past me and tore half of my beloved mustache clean off , and now I look simply horrid ."
After that everyone gave a sigh or rolled their eyes.
"Oh, give me a break." Rainbow Dash couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"That's what all the fuss is about?" Applejack was on the same boat.
"Why, of course it is. How can you be so insensitive? Oh, just look at him. Such lovely luminescent scales."
Rarity looked genuinely concerned.
"I know."
"And your expertly coiffed mane."
" Oh, I know, I know."
Everyone beside the two conversation still couldn't believe what they were hearing.
"Your fabulous manicure."
"It's so true!"
"All ruined without your beautiful mustache."
"It's true, I'm hideous !"
"Wow, really? Nice one." Scion didn't see that one coming, all the complements leading to the problem of a punch line.
Joseph nudged him. "Shh, she's not done yet."
"I simply cannot let such a crime against fabulosity go uncorrected."
Rarity plucked a scale from the monster, the edge shining like a sword. The act earned a yelp from the monster.
"What did you do that for?"
Rarity raised the scale above her head, with her mouth. Twilight seemed worried.
"Rarity, what are you-"
Bringing the razor sharp scale down...
"Oh-hohohoho!"
..She cut of her tail, with her magic she attached it to the missing half of the massive mustache of the monster.
"My mustache. How wonderful."
"You look smashing."
"Not sure what it is, but that doesn't look right." Scion whispered to Joseph.
"Which half?"
"Both."
Twilight went up to Rarity.
"Oh, Rarity, your beautiful tail..."
She was gesturing to the tuff of hair that was left of her tail.
"Oh. It's fine, my dear. Short tails are in this season. Besides, it'll grow back."
"Of course..." Scion rolled his eyes. Why expect any less? Oddly the events actually made more sense this way
"So would the mustache " Rainbow Dash pointed out.
The comment was ignored as Twilight began to cross the now calm, shallow, stream.
"We can cross now. Let's go. Ah!" Halfway the mismatched mustached sea monster manipulated his body to imitate large rocks coming out of the water.
"Allow me" Dipping his head into the water he created a bridge across the river with his body.
"That was nice of him." Nobel and Gale hopped across with ease. Sonic was still getting used to his body causing him to fall in halfway through.
"Well then, that did not help." As Sonic walked across the shallow river everyone else gave a giggle at his expense. He was still wet when he stepped out.
"Yea, yea. Laugh it up, but move while you do it." He grumbled.
As they went along the girls made small chat. Noble and Sonic Talked about their situation.
"So how are we going to get back?" Sonic whispered.
"Well I'm not sure yet, but one things for sure. We're going to be stuck here for who knows how long. We need a place to stay, some way to get bits in, and a stable source of food." Noble replied in a hushed tone.
"Great, and how do you suppose-?"
"There it is, the ruin that holds The Elements of Harmony. We made it!" Twilight announced cutting their conversation short.
Twilight walked ahead of the group.
"Twilight, wait for us!"
She wasn't listening. "We're almost there. Whoa!"
Going too far ahead she almost fell off of a cliff when Rainbow Dash saved her.
"What's with you and falling off cliffs today?"
The bridge over the cliff was down. Pinkie let out a sigh.
"Now what?"
Eyes rolled as Rainbow flapped her wings.
"Duh"
"Oh yea."
"She forgot we have a perfectly able pegasus?" Sonic muttered to Noble.
"Didn't see you volunteer to help either."
They watched her go to the other end, she was about to grab the fallen bridge when she seemed to hear someone.
"I ain't scared of you! Show yourself!"
On her hind legs, front hooves up, looking ready to fight.
"What's going on over there?" Scion could only barely see her as a light fog began to set in.
"Nature, or magic, the script? Whatever you want to believe in this world. Point is, this is how it's meant to be.
Some time passed as the two watched on. Everyone else, on the other hand, began to chat. Only Twilight seemed to notice that Rainbow was taking longer then she expected.
" Rainbow, what's taking so long?"
Across the gap Rainbow Dash was talking to the Shadowbolts.
"Oh no. Rainbow! Don't listen to them!"
As she said this a very dense fog, more like thick cloud, both blocked out and muted Twilight.
"What's the matter Twilight?"
"Nightmare Moon is trying to manipulate Rainbow Dash!"
"Trying doesn't mean succeeding, look." Noble pointed to the sight of Rainbow Dash coming back with the other end of the bridge.
The girls cheered, Noble smiled, and Sonic rolled his eyes.
"Lest's get a move on, the sooner you get those elements the sooner we can all get back home!" Noble said crossing the bridge.
Everyone followed behind, Twilight taking the lead with a teleportation and Noble falling back to Sonic. Gale went back with the other two giving Noble a look.
"What, did I say something?" Noble was a little confused on why he was getting a glare.
"You did, and luckily no one noticed. 'The elements'."
Noble stopped realizing just how dangerous his slip was.
"They could of asked quite a few questions. None of them we'd be ready to answer."
The tree continued to trot on.
"From now on we have to be careful, another slip and we could be cast out." The group was about to enter the castle when they heard Twilight."
"Aah!"
"Was that-"
"Twilight!"
Running in the only thing left was a bit of smoke and some scorch marks.
"Everyone, look!" Noble pointed at the adjacent tower. Lights flashing within.
"come on!"
Making their way to the tower Noble grabbed the attention of Gale and Sonic.
"I think this is where we sit out, over here."
The three hid in a bush that was near a broken window, giving them a clear view of what's going on. From the look of things Twilight was making a realization.
"You think you can destroy The Elements of Harmony just like that? Well, you're wrong, because the spirits of The Elements of Harmony are right here."
Noble whispered to Sonic. "I love this part."
"Applejack, who reassured me when I was in doubt, represents the spirit of... honesty!"
As Twilight spoke of their elements the bearers began to hover in the air.
Sonic whispered back. "I don't get it."
"Fluttershy, who tamed the manticore with her compassion, represents the spirit of... kindness!"
Noble hushed him. "You will once she's done. Now watch."
"Pinkie Pie, who banished fear by giggling in the face of danger, represents the spirit of... laughter!"
The onlookers didn't notice the dim glow surrounding them.
"Rarity, who calmed a sorrowful serpent with a meaningful gift represents the spirit of... generosity!"
Sonic looked at his hoof and noticed he was glowing a dark red. "Guys, are we supposed to glow?"
"And Rainbow Dash, who could not abandon her friends for her own heart's desire represents the spirit of... loyalty!"
Noble, Sonic, and Gale were glowing violet, crimson, and bright pink respectively. "I Don't think so."
"The spirits of these five ponies got us through every challenge you threw at us." Twilight looked confident, determined.
" You still don't have the sixth Element! The spark didn't work!" Nightmare Moon looked desperate.
"But it did! A different kind of spark. I felt it the very moment I realized how happy I was to hear you, to see you, how much I cared about you. The spark ignited inside me when I realized that you all... are my friends! You see, Nightmare Moon, when those Elements are ignited by the... the spark, that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element: the element of... magic!"
All six girls were now floating in midair, but before the well known massive rainbow attack, their was a pause. The three outside began to float as well, being forced inside. As shards began to circle them Sonic, Noble and Gale heard a voice in there ear whisper.
"Patience...."
"Optimism...."
"Compassion...."
Then a bright white flash blinded all three before they passed out from an magic overload.
--------A few Minutes Later--------
"What the...Hay happened?" Sonic heard Noble ask. Slowly he sat up, taking a look at where he was. How he had hoped the last few day turned out to be nothing more than a bad, lucid, dream. The reality, as strange as it is, was that he, as well as Noble and Gale, were still in the throne room. To the side, near the mane 6, was a reformed Luna, embracing her sister.
Suddenly Pinkie burst into tears, then just as quickly stopped.
"Hey, you know what this calls for? A party!"
Everyone cheered in agreement as they headed for the exit.
"So what did happen?" Sonic asked his friend.
"Well, if I remember correctly. The mane 6 just reverted Nightmare Moon back to Luna, and when we get back we'll have a massive party to celebrate her return. As for us" Noble went on.
"Not too sure, I have a bad feeling though, like something happened that wasn't supposed to." Noble then gave Sonic a look as though he just noticed something.
"What, is their something on my face?"
"No, but their is something on your wrist."
Looking down Sonic saw a silver bracelet on his front right leg. In the center of the metal band was a round red gem.
"Oh no, do you know what this means?" Noble asked looking at his own silver bracelet, his with a blue 'X' in the center.
"Uh, no." To be honest he was very confused, first the portal, then turning to a pony, now another weird piece of jewelry.
"What it means is that we must belong here." Gale clarified.
This made Sonic worry. He knew his home was not here, well nowhere now. But that doesn't make this place his home.....Does it?
"Yea, and as element bearers we must stay in this world. It will need us."
Noble looked to the floor with a strange smile on his face.
"Guess that makes us heroes now, right?"
The room was silent for a bit, only the sound of distant trotting was heard.
"We should catch up with the others." Noble said getting to all fours.
"We need to find a means of income, and a house to stay in. I'll work on the latter, all of us will have to find our own jobs. Let's go."
Nodding in agreement they headed out, their own steps covering the sound of rustling in the bushes nearby. As a shadowy figure left the world for another..

My Little Crazy Adventure
--------About an Hour From Where We Left Off--------
The group of Scion, Collete, and Joseph were currently partying in Ponyvile. Though everyone was still worried about their home, where they would stay to sleep.
"Hey Joseph." Scion said quietly, using to volume of the crowd to hide his own. "Do you have any plans for where we're staying tonight?"
Joseph didn't try to ponder too much about it, instead focusing on having a good time. Now faced with the question he took a look around to see if he could make arrangements. That's when he saw Celestia, idly standing near a punch bowl.
"I think I have an idea, wait here. I'll be right back."
Scion watched as Joseph approached the equine monarch. Even though he couldn't hear him, Scion knew Joseph was doing the exact same thing as the first time they met. He put that aside as they both approached.
"This is my pal Sonic, Gale is somewhere around here. We all have the same problem, we've nowhere to stay. We have been going from place to place for a while, but upon getting these." He gestured to his bracelet. "We knew we had to stay here, close to the other elements. So, what do ya say?"
Scion had turned over, Joseph had the smile that always left him uncertain. What he said was awful and awfully sudden. Scion prepared to speak, remembering how to within this pony realm.
"...Noble," He started hesitant, "You're making it sound like blackmail."
Joseph turned to Scion with a small amount of surprise.
"No not blackmail, just a proposition. We need to make arrangements for a permanent home near the others, for convenience. Besides with it we can focus on getting a job to pay for the home."
Turning back to Celestia Joseph concluded.
"Don't worry about it now. You have more important things on your mind. If you do make a decision on the matter though, just send a letter here. Well find a place to sleep for a while." With a smile and a nod Celestia went about her business. When Joseph was sure she was out of earshot he turned to Scion.
"Blackmail, really? Are you so against staying put that you had to go and say that?" He didn't look angry, no. He looked sad. Sad that his friend didn't want to have anything to do with this place, even with little other choice. To his it seemed that his friend was dead set on destroying any fun he planed to have while they were here.
"That's just the way it sounded," Scion came back coolly, hiding his true feelings.
With a sigh Joseph smiled. "It's fine, I recovered and got the message across. For now, let's find a place to stay for the next few...weeks maybe. And as much as I'd love to just let you sleep out in a field, you should consider bunking with someone. Especially with that around your neck." Joseph pointed to the necklace. "Speaking of, how's Eve holding up?"
"She's pulling through, not telling me much though." A frown curved his pony face, making it all the more unfitting, "I really hate having this greater meaning that I don't understand. I won't be able to survive heroics, especially with those guys in hoods..."
A bad memory only a few nights ago scared him. A singe in his hair, a scream from Eve...and his eyes again. What was he thinking then? Something strong enough to use magic. As unreal as it seemed, those burns were somewhere in this new form, added with the ones inside.
Joseph nudged his friend out of his thoughts. "Don't worry about it, for now think about who your going to bunk with. It might be good to be somewhere with distractions, to get your mind off out situation." He looked around before getting an idea. "How about Twilight, she lives in a library, she's Celestia's personal student, and she's the element of magic."
Putting a hoof to his chin Joseph thought about it a bit more. "Then again, AJ is really strong, plus she lives at Sweet Apple Acres. But RD is a pegasus, so you could get some flying lessons from the best flyer around, learning to fly quickly, and not face plant into the floor. So many options." Putting an arm around Scion he reassured "Think about it, we got time. For now, enjoy the party, you might make some new friends."
Joseph left Scion, becoming lost in the crowd of ponies.
--------A Few Hours Later--------
As the party was dying down, and only a few ponies remained to help clean up to mess, and wake up any ponies that may have passed out.
Scion was on a bench nearby as Joseph approached.
"So how was your party?" Joseph casually asked as he leaned back on the bench.
Scion wouldn't hold a gaze toward his perky friend. A ghostly heat seem to be wavering the air, Joseph looked at his eye's red fury. Suddenly Dead, like his look.
"It was...Something," He muttered.
Going back to his relaxed position Joseph replied. "I wouldn't expect any less, did you decide who you're going to ask?"
When he didn't answer Joseph continued. "If it helps, I already asked Pinkie, so that's taken out."
"Twilight," he said, his voice jumping, "I can't really decide so, I'll go with your first assumption,"
The options went around, and Scion easily removed some from his list, but that left 3 remaining. Best to take Joseph's opinion, whatever he based it on.
"Alright, now were getting somewhere!" Looking over to Twilight Joseph continued, "So do you want to ask, or should i?"
Not really knowing how to ask, and guessing the Joseph already had a way of asking he decided. "You can ask."
"Got it, be right back." Getting off the bench, Joseph walked up to Twilight. They were far enough away that their voices were barely audible. Scion strained to hear what they were saying.
"...Is why I'm asking, do you think you can let Sonic stay with you? Just for a little while." He couldn't see much of her face from where he was, but he could hear the answer, a little.
"...I suppose I do, it would be a way to get to know him. You can bring him over tonight, he'll have to sleep on the floor until I can get some guest beds."
On the floor in a home seemed better than on the floor on a potentially lethal field.
"...he shouldn't have any problems with that, I'll let him know, and thanks for helping out my best friend."
Scion couldn't here the reply, but could of guessed what it was. As Joseph returned Scion went back to his original position.
"Well, she said yes. Though she seemed a bit reluctant. To be expected, she did just move into the home. You may also have to be on the floor."
"What did you say to convince her?" The only important part Scion missed.
"Oh, I told her the truth. For the most part. Let her know, our homes was destroyed during the Nightmare Moon fiasco, and that we had no where else to go."
As the sun was about to set, and the moon began to rise Joseph started walking into town. "You should go to Twilight's before it gets too dark, it's not too safe at night." Then he turned and galloped away.
"The tree house..." Scion only had to look up. Scion started, maybe he could catch up with her.
Scion finally noticed the giant plant at the end of the road getting closer. Something itched at him, and it wasn't ponies or anything they did. Joseph's words; 'It's not too safe at night' . Considering the people hunting him down, that and it usually isn't safe in big neighborhoods at night, but what specifically did he have in mind? Shaking his head he began to dash after Twilight. Ahead it looked like Twilight stopped, just next to Sugarcube Corner. His pace slowed since she didn't seem to going anywhere.
Scion noticed that Twilight's pace seemed to be slower than his. Happily trotting and smiling as she continued to look about. Each step made it look like she could float on air. The world didn't have any weight to give her. Surrounded by so many things that shined through the suns dimming glow. The atmosphere; the plants and ponies all shared a colorful radiance. Twlight's seemed to be the brightest. She seemed to make flying without wings possible. Scion sighed, mentally hitting himself.
'Pathetic...aren't I?' The way she could do it so easily made him believe that his own new wings rejected him. Sad, because it felt like that it was fair. Tossing the thought aside, he quickened his pace. He could already imagine her humming a song, but Scion probably shouldn't complain.
"You're a strange one Scion" Eve chimed.
