Chapter 33: Plus one internet
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"Hey Twi."
"Yes?"
"Do you think it's 'cool' that there are people who really like you and all your friends, even thought they've never met?"
She seemed a bit dumbfounded at the concept. "I guess so. I still don't know why anyone would watch me and everypony else go about our lives."
"Because your lives are interesting and fun." I answered.
"It's still a strange thing." She put in. "How does everyone know about it and always know when to watch?"
"Beats me." I lied. "How can I tell her she's as fictional as the characters of this book? I guess I just pad it out like some other things.
"I feel fairly uncomfortable knowing that I'm being watched at any point in time."
"It's only when there's some life lesson to be learned or something important going on. Even in the down time between then people make up stories and share them for fun."
"Stories about what?"
"You and all the others." I answered. "They're all just made up, as far as I can tell. A lot of them are funny or deep and interesting. Some are scary and others are just kind of flat out...gross."
"How so?"
"Stories about you and all your friends bumming each other or going on ridiculous adventures and bumming each other or even crime mysteries and solving them and bumming each other. So yeah, there's a lot of stories about you and your friends having sex between the six of you."
She stared at me wide eyed.
"I don't know why, but there seems to be a lot centered around Rainbow and Applejack or Pinkie. Kinda weird but, whatever."
She still stared at me.
"Um, hello?" I waved my hand in front of her without a response. I brought back my hand and swung it forward swiftly, stopping right in front of her face.
"Gah" She jumped back a bit.
"Zoned out?" I asked.
"Hearing this was very...disturbing."
"Guess I should of held my tongue, huh?"
"I really wish you did. Though I'd be lying if I said the Rainbow part wasn't completely false."
"Really?"
She tilted her head to the side and looked to the ground
"I feel like my childhood died for the second time."I thought sourly. "Now I really wish I held my tongue."
"Just how is it that these stories are shared?" She asked.
"Computer." I said flatly.
"Could you show me?"
I let out a glum sigh and walked over to the computer. "I do have to say that some stories are fairly normal. Not something about you and your friends fucking."
She still seemed taken aback.
I typed into Google the familiar 'FIMFiction.net',hit enter, and away we were. I clicked on the link and browsed over the new stories. "I kind of like the ideas for some; you and the others come to Earth and do all sorts of crazy things and usually end up having sex with the main hum-" I stopped at the thought of how alike that seemed to my own situation. "You know what? Never mind. I didn't say a damn thing."
"Something the matter?"
"No, nothing at all." I sighed. "Here." I said relinquishing my seat. "Have a look at all the work the sick fucks of this place make." I felt like sulking in a corner but opted to just drink.
I walked back to my room to find the bottle of homebrew still there and came back to living room, drinking it down while I walked. I sat down on the couch and lounged taking long swigs from the it. I staggered over to Twilight while she read over some of the stories.
"I get your point on what you said earlier. This is very much...disgusting."
"Eeyup. That's the internet for you."
