My Little Frozen

-- The Dream --

The dream Twilight had was unlike any other dreams she has had before. Twilight was alone in the woods. There was no pony in sight. It was dark and she was alone. With only the wilderness and animals to be seen. Luna flew out of the moon and appeared before her. "Hello Twilight," She greeted her. "I see something has been troubling you. Is there something I should know?" she asked.

Twilight could finally get some baggage off her shoulders. "I do Princess Luna and I would love to admit my problems to you." Twilight admitted.

"Sit down beside me and tell me." She gestured her hand to a log that was conveniently placed right where she was about to sit. Twilight sat beside Princess Luna. "Somethings been happening to me and I don't know how to deal with it," Luna looked sincerely at Twilight and a small smile showed through. "I have been given a power I don't want and its been corrupting me lately."

"How had it corrupted you?" She asked. Twilight noticed in the dream she looked like her old self. Before her hair and eye color started changing. Twilight repeated a show your true self spell and Luna was blinded by the light. The light darkened revealing what twilight looked like as of now. "I have seen this power before. Would you like me to let Celestia know of this?"

"Of course I would like to let Celestia know of this, but I don't know how much longer I can try to handle these powers. I've started forgetting memories lately. Is that a part of the spell?"

"The Crystal Darkness is one of the hardest curses to overcome. It may be too difficult for you to handle, but you are the element of magic and I believe you can overcome anything."

"I'm not the element of magic anymore." Twilight pointed to her new cutie mark.

"The spell has affected you more than I thought. I shall let Celestia know of this immediately, but until then don't use your powers Twilight. The more you use them the colder your heart will be. Only the love of your friends can help you. "

Twilight nodded and the world became dark.

-- Eris's Past --

"Eris! Eris! I'm bored lets go play in the snow!" Anita yelled jumping on my stomach in the middle of the night. For the past few weeks we've had a lot more fun than usual. I've gained the most incredible thing ever! The power to use Ice! I learned how to make snowmares come to life and how to turn the ground to ice by just standing on it! This has been an amazing thing to experience and Anita is enjoying it too.

I sleepily get off my bed and go to the empty room we always go into. My hair has changed colors since then it is a platinum blonde color with a white streak. I like the hair color change it matches my eyes.

I lost the beautiful necklace though I think I lost it when I was walking by some trees and I think one of those tree branches snagged my necklace, but that doesn't matter I have my sister and that's all I want.

"Eris do the magic!" Anita exclaimed. Anita dragged me into the room. I made a huge ball of snow and blasted it into the air making the room inside start to snow. I turned the ground into ice by stepping my foot on the ground. I turned the room into a temporary ice skating rink.

"Hold on to me!" I exclaimed and she held on to my back and i pushed her around the room with my ice wind. We glided around the room with ease. We laughed and had fun. Anita smiled happily at me. We made snowmares and played in the snow.

Then Anita wanted to try something. Something that I wish hadn't happened in the first place. She climbed to the top of a snow hill that I made from the snow and jumped to another snow hill. "Catch me Eris!" Anita exclaimed and jumped onto another snow hill. I used my magic and made more hills. Anita started jumping faster and faster and faster until I couldn't keep up with her anymore.

I slipped on the ice and used my magic to save Anita from hitting the hard ground, but my magic hit Anita's head instead. I quickly ran to her. "Anita! Anita stay with me!" I yelled in her face, but she was unconscious and her head was as cold as ice. I saw a white streak start to appear in her hair. "This is all my fault!" The ground got colder beneath me. I knew I could do only one thing: call for my parents. "Mom, Dad I need you!" I yelled as loud as I could. They came there within moments. "What's wrong?" They yelled from the outside the door. The door was frozen shut by my magic.

They got some guards to come and burst open the door. They quickly ran to me and Anita. "What did you do?!" My dad questioned me. I shrunk back in fear. Dad looked at me angrily, but Mom shielded me "Don't hurt her! She didn't mean to do this!" She backed me up.

Dad mumbled to himself and left the room. Mom comforted me as best as she could. She gave me a hug. "I know a place where we can help your sister." She smiled at me. She stood up carrying Anita and left the room and I followed her. She walked down a narrow hallway towards the library. She fumbled through some books and pulled a book out that was rimmed with gold. "Starswirl the Bearded will help us," She assured me.

Inside the book was a detailed map telling us where to find Starswirl.

That night we left and traveled into the woods. We were being pulled by ponies and they clomped hard on the ground. Snow covered the ground below me making an easy trail for someone to follow. A little foal was walking around in the woods. All alone. I waved at him, but he didn't notice me. He looked solemnly at the ground beneath him. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. His body color was the shade of grey. I just guessed he was an orphan. We continued on our journey to Starswirl passing the scenery of the woods.

We arrived at the location a while later. Starswirl was waiting for us. Mom slowly carried Anita out. Dad ignored me. I know he is angry at me. He is usually very compassionate, but now I am afraid. Afraid of my father for the first time in my life.

What makes this day even worse is what Starswirl is about to tell us. "I see what she had done. Your lucky she didn't hit her heart or else your daughter would have turned to ice. I have seen this before. Your daughter has been cursed with an elemental power that can persuade your daughter to evil. The more of her magic she uses the worse her condition will become. I'm surprised by how long she hasn't changed. I can heal your daughter, but the consequence is that your daughters powers must be kept a secret and your daughter Anita can't remember this. We must not repeat time all over again is that understood?" He asked.

This was big agreement. They nodded in agreement. He caressed Anita and put his hoof over her head. His hoof glowed in a blur aura and disappeared. "It is done," We went home and the worst of has just begun. Dad scolded me.

He limited my contact with my sister and put me in a new room. I was separated from my sister and we lost the bond that kept my powers from corrupting me any further. Friendship was what kept my powers under control. I stayed inside my room ninety-nine percent of the time. Food was brought to me by waiters and most of the staff was fired to keep me safe. I don't want to be put up like this! I don't want to be stuck in here forever! Will I ever have a happy ending?!
