Twilight finds a snowflake necklace and soon discovers that it gives her ice powers. With the discovery Twilight also finds out that the necklace has had a dark history surrounding it. A princess named Eris once wore the necklace and destroyed an entire city along with her sister Anita.

Twilight's powers grow stronger and stronger making her believe the best choice is to leave Ponyville and keep her friends safe and far away from her.

But not only does Twilight has to deal with her new powers, she has to deal with the curse that come along with the necklace: her heart slowly turning to ice.
