Matt was a regular Imperial Guardsman. A so called "cannon fodder". His job was to defend the inhabitants of the Imperium, or just die trying. And he loved his job as much as he could, jumping into heat of battle with such lack of fear, that he could embarrass Gray Knights. Even through that, his luck managed to keep his career rollin' for much longer than a career of a regular Guardsman, always being rescued by brothers in arms, or just being left unconscious on the ground when the fight was moving forward. His life changes after the sudden assault of the cute magical ponies that manage to break the whole Imperial army, and take Matt as a captive.
