Colgate's Practice

With the late start they got that day every appointment wound up being late, which Colgate was not happy about but knew it was her fault. When the final patient for the day left they closed up shop. Lyra had been wondering all day why Colgate was so late. She asked, "Colgate, WHY were you late this morning? That is so unlike you."

Colgate snapped, "Lyra, I was late because I was treating our new receptionist to breakfast." She was starting to get irritated with her sister and what she considered disobedient behavior. She continued, "Look Lyra, this is MY practice. I will do what I want. Do not question me."

Lyra looked like she was going to cry. She asked, "But I thought you viewed this as our practice?"

"Ok, our practice," said the unicorn in a rather annoyed voice. "Listen, let's all head home and get ready for tomorrow. We have a full schedule tomorrow."

Lyra asked, "Colgate, do you think we could go to the cafe for supper?"

Colgate replied, "Not tonight. Let's just eat at home. Next week I will take you two out for supper, how does that sound?"

Pinkamena added, "Lyra, do you think Colgate is made of money?"

Lyra snapped, "Well she sure had the money to take you out for breakfast this morning."

Colgate yelled, "Lyra, would you just drop it already. I don't feel like putting up with this stress."

Lyra began to feel a bit alienated by her sister as she felt that Colgate was treating Pinkamena better than her. She was bound and determined to discover what made the new receptionist so great. That night went by rather normally and the next morning the three headed to the office early. Just as soon as they opened up shop, their next patient, Filthy Rich walked in the door.

He looked at the desk and saw Pinkamena sitting there and was a bit shocked. He asked, "Wait a minute, Pinkie, is that you?"

Pinkamena knew that she had to be nice instead of snapping at him for calling her by that name. She replied, "Mr. Rich, I go by Pinkamena now." She typed a few things into the computer and said, "Take a seat and I will let them know you're here."

Less than a minute later Lyra showed up in the lobby, just as cheerful as ever and said, "Come on back Mr. Rich! How's your day treating you?"

Filthy replied, "Wow, you guys here are considerate. Not many places have the courtesy to call me Mr. Rich."

Lyra nodded and led him to the chair. She looked into his mouth and was surprised by what she saw. She was expecting to see pearly whites but she saw teeth that were yellowed a bit and suspected he had a cavity or two. Filthy saw the stunned look on her face and had a bad feeling.

A couple minutes later Colgate showed up and said, "Mr. Rich, Lyra has told me about the yellowness of your teeth. Let's take a further look."

Colgate was looking inside his mouth and used her X-ray spell on him. While she gave Filthy a look of disapproval, deep inside she was giddy with excitement. She said, "Mr. Rich, this does not look good. You have a couple of cavities and you have a serious infection."

Filthy asked, "Seriously?"

Colgate replied, "Yes, seriously. Let's check your bite force."

Colgate put the bite force meter in his mouth and ordered him to bite down until it became painful. Filthy bit down and while he was able to bite down a bit more than some of her other 'special' patients, he knocked a tooth loose in the process. Colgate saw this and gasped, "Oh my! This is much worse than I thought Mr. Rich. I am going to have to send you to a dental hospital in Fillydelphia."

Filthy had a look of shock on his face. He asked, "Do you have to? Who will watch over the store? Who will take care of Diamond Tiara?"

Colgate frowned and replied, "Listen Mr. Rich. I don't think you understand the seriousness of this. This infection is so bad that it could KILL you. I'm sure Silver Spoon's parents could watch over your daughter and you may just have to close the store for a bit. Better you close it for a bit than have to close it permanently, RIGHT?"

Filthy hung his head in defeat and replied, "You're right."

Before Filthy could say anything else Colgate rammed a syringe of powerful sedatives into his neck and in less than a minute he was out cold. Colgate took him down the hospital secured him into a chair next to Bon Bon, the one that Moondancer had been in earlier. Rarity looked over to her left and asked, "Colgate, is that Filthy Rich?"

After Colgate got the businesspony all secured in his chair she went over and smacked Rarity. She shouted, "Speak when spoken to, that's what good patients do!"

She then headed back over to Filthy and began taking a closer look at her new patient. She began laughing as she realized she could use his tie as a tool to punish her unruly patients. She took his tie off of him and put it in her freezer. She gave him enough sedatives that he should be out for a few hours so she headed back upstairs. She headed up front and asked Pinkamena if she would go over to Silver Spoon's house and tell them about Filthy being sent to Fillydelphia for dental care and ask if they will take Diamond Tiara in then go to the school and let the rich filly know.

Pinkamena smiled and replied, "Of course." She got close to Colgate's ear and whispered, "I take it we have a new plaything?"

Colgate nodded and replied, "Yes, now go."

Pinkamena headed out the door as Lyra was going out to get their next patient. She asked, "Where is Pinkamena off to?"

Colgate replied, "She is heading over to Silver Spoon's house to see if they will take Diamond Tiara in while Filthy is in the hospital."

Lyra was starting to become a bit suspicious of her sister as she seemed to always be sending patients to dental hospitals. She asked, "Oh and what far flung place did you send him to?"

Colgate laughed, "I sent him to Fillydelphia. Given the condition his teeth are in, I figured that he would receive the best care there."

Lyra rolled her eyes and took their next patient back. Colgate noticed Lyra's strange reaction and began to wonder if perhaps she isn't going to be detrimental to her cause. Before they knew it closing time arrived and to Colgate's dismay, no other bad patients showed up that day. While Lyra headed home Pinkamena and Colgate stayed in the office to take care of some business matters. They headed down to the hospital and Colgate asked, "Who's hungry? I have food for you!"

Filthy was coming to when they got down there and was moaning in pain. He saw Colgate and Pinkamena standing in front of him and yelled, "You liar, I thought you were sending me to a special dental hospital."

Colgate gave him a warm smile and replied, "I did! It just so happens I found a special dental hospital for you a bit closer to home."

He screamed, "Let me go. You won't get away with this. They'll lock you up for life when they discover this prison of yours!"

Colgate laughed, "Yeah, uh huh. That's what they all say."

Bon Bon shouted, "So you evil bitch, how many more ponies are you going to lock up down here? How many more will suffer Moondancer's fate?"

Colgate ordered, "Pinkamena, get me a gag ball, this one talks too much."

Pinkamena got the ball and stuffed it in Bon Bon's mouth. She continued trying to yell but all she got out was muffled noises. Colgate looked at her three patients and started laughing. Pinkamena asked her what the laughing was about. Colgate replied, "Pinkamena, I think we need to give these three labels."

Pinkamena asked, "How are we going to do that?"

Colgate laughed, "Oh you'll see! I think you'll find it humorous."

Colgate went to get her drill. Rather than using a regular bit that you would use to drill holes with, she placed a bit in it that ended in a sharp, narrow point at the end of it. She first headed over to Rarity. Rarity was squirming and screaming. She yelled, "You beast! You will not get away with this!"

Colgate ordered, "Pinkamena, would you shut her up and get her to quit fidgeting. I don't want her ruining my artwork."

Pinkamena ran over to the freezer and grabbed Filthy's tie. She wrapped it around Rarity's neck and began to strangle her. After a couple of minutes Rarity quit fidgeting and Colgate ordered her assistant to remove the tie. Colgate turned her drill on and proceeded to carve the words "drama queen" into Rarity's abdomen. Despite only being semi-conscious Rarity screamed out in pain. Once she was finished she looked at Rarity and said, "I would say that I have great penmanship with a drill, wouldn't you Rarity?"

Rarity cried, "Why are you doing this? Coming to you with cavities is no reason to punish me so badly."

Colgate and Pinkamena moved over to their next patient, Filthy. Filthy showed a lot more toughness only grunting in pain as he was being marked with the word "thief." They then moved over to Bon Bon, who like Rarity, needed to have the tie wrapped around her neck. She was screaming and fidgeting so much that even the tie didn't do much good on her. While it was not as elegant as the carvings were on her other two patients, the words "whiny bitch" were legible.

Pinkamena began to laugh sadistically, "That was fun! Can I mark the next one Colgate?"

Colgate replied, "Well unless Celestia needs punishing tomorrow, yes. I doubt it though, she has been taking very good care of her teeth since I wrote that spell for her."

Pinkamena laughed, "What if she stopped and she has bad teeth?"

Colgate got an evil smile on her face and replied, "Well if that is the case, she will face my most brutal wrath." She looked up at the clock and continued, "Come on, let's feed these scum and get out of here. I want to be 100% alert tomorrow."

Pinkamena removed the gag ball from Bon Bon and they fed their patients. They slammed the door behind them as they left and Rarity asked, "Did you guys hear that? Celestia is coming tomorrow. If Colgate brings her down here, she will overpower her and free us!"

The three of them began to cheer believing that their imprisonment would soon be over and that Colgate would pay for her crimes. Knowing that caused the three of them to tolerate the pain of eating ice cream a bit more and for the first night since being imprisoned, Rarity and Bon Bon, despite the pain, still got a decent night's sleep.
