Colgate's New Assistant

While Colgate had headed home the negative emotions continued to flow in the hospital. Bon Bon and Rarity began to cuss Colgate while Pinkie just sat there, starting to wonder if maybe Colgate was actually in the right killing Moondancer. Rarity looked over towards Pinkie and asked, "Whatever is the matter Pinkie? You seem so emotionless."

Pinkie sat there nervously trying to think of an answer to the question. She replied, "Well I just don't understand why Colgate would do this. I just wonder what has caused her to do this to anypony."

Bon Bon angrily shouted, "It's because she wants to punish anypony who comes to her with less than perfect teeth. She thinks it is her duty to force proper oral hygiene on everypony."

Rarity added, "And I never imagined that she would be like this. She had always been so friendly."

Pinkie yawned, "Ugh I'm tired. Let's all try to get some sleep."

Pinkie's nonchalant response angered her fellow patients but they did not show it. While Pinkie quickly got to sleep, Bon Bon and Rarity just sat there crying silently. Finally morning came but something wasn't quite right with Pinkie. Her mane and tail had gone straight. Her eyes had a more sinister look about them and she gave the other two a strange, almost evil, grin. Rarity asked, "Pinkie, what is up with you? Why do you have a grin on your face?"

Pinkie began to laugh, "Oh I think I know a way out of here! I know of a way to punish those who are responsible for this!"

Rarity gasped, "Those?"

Before any of them could say anything they heard the door swing open and in came Colgate. She laughed, "It's time for breakfast, and do I have a treat for you!"

She took three tubs of ice cream, grabbed a spoon for each one and took them over to her patients. She growled, "Eat my little patients, eat!"

Rarity shouted, "Ice cream, with the cavities we have? That will hurt!"

Colgate sneered, "No shit Sherlock. Why do you think this will be your breakfast? With poor oral hygiene comes painful meals."

While Bon Bon and Rarity began to eat and cry in pain, she noticed that Pinkie was not touching hers. She stood in front of the pink pony and asked, "What's the matter Pinkie? I thought you loved sweets." She noticed the change in Pinkie and asked, "Pinkie, what the hell happened to your mane and tail?"

Pinkie growled, "My name is PINKAMENA DIANE PIE, not Pinkie."

Colgate had heard about how Pinkie could get when she is in her Pinkamena state and realized that she could use this to her advantage. She got up in Pinkamena's face, her eyes began to glow a bright white and she asked, "So Pinkamena, who are you loyal to?"

Pinkamena, in a trance like state replied, "I, Pinkamena Diane Pie, am loyal to Colgate, and no other."

Colgate asked, "What are your plans as of now?"

Again in a trance like state Pinkamena replied, "My plans are to aid Colgate in anything and everything she asks of me."

Colgate figured that she had Pinkamena under her control so her eyes stopped glowing. Pinkamena looked at her and asked, "Colgate, why am I tied in this spiked chair, I am loyal to you."

Colgate smiled upon hearing her say she is loyal in a normal situation so she got Pinkamena out of the chair and saw that her body was heavily scarred because of the spikes. She realized that she could not be seen like this in public. Her horn began to glow a bluish white and she released some energy into her now-released patient. The scars disappeared instantly, much to the delight of both Colgate and Pinkamena. Pinkamena looked over at Bon Bon and Rarity and laughed, "Well now, it's time to punish those who are responsible for this!"

Colgate interrupted, "That ice cream should be punishment enough for them, for now anyway. I still have fifty minutes before I have to open shop, let's get some real food in you."

Pinkamena happily accepted her offer. The two headed to the cafe for breakfast. The waiter was surprised to see Colgate there with Pinkamena but was even more surprised to see her with her mane and tail straight. The waiter asked, "Pinkie, what happened to your mane and tail? It's usually so puffy."

Pinkamena snapped, "My name is PINKAMENA, not Pinkie."

The waiter seemed shocked by her unpleasant demeanor. She took their order and was not surprised by Colgate's order but was shocked when Pinkamena did not want ice cream and a milkshake. The waiter asked, "Pinkamena, why the sudden change? Usually you always order something sweet."

Pinkamena growled, "Something sweet? YUCK! That stuff is nasty, not to mention it is horrible for your teeth! I'll take what Colgate is taking, eggs, bacon and toast. It's time for me to start eating real food for a change."

Colgate was ecstatic upon hearing this. She realized that her brainwashing had worked beyond her wildest dreams. While they were waiting for their meal, Colgate began to examine Pinkamena's teeth from across the table and much to Colgate's delight, her teeth were in perfect health. While this surprised her, it also relieved her as she would not have to do any work on her new assistant's teeth.

The two lost track of time and by the time they finished their meal it was already 830. Colgate looked up at the clock and said, "Oh shit, we're late Pinkamena! We're late."

The two hurried and payed for their meal and rushed over to Colgate's office. When they got there Lyra was impatiently tapping her hoof on the door and Fluttershy had a scowl on her face as she was supposed to be the first patient of the day. Colgate rushed over and said, "Sweet Celestia, I'm so sorry you two. Pinkamena and I were eating breakfast and we lost track of time."

Fluttershy saw an odd look in her friend's eyes and saw her mane and tail were straight. She asked, "Pinkie, what is wrong? Why do you have the Pinkamena look going on?"

Pinkamena rolled her eyes as she did not feel like being questioned. She replied, "What, can't a pony change the way she looks?"

Lyra asked, "Colgate, why were you eating breakfast with Pinkamena anyway?"

Colgate replied, "Oh, you don't know. She is my new receptionist. I decided we need somepony who won't slack on the job, someone who will actually show up instead of fake an illness every other day."

Fluttershy shouted, "AHEM! Can you just open up so I can get my teeth cleaned?"

Colgate knew that this was not sitting well with her patient so she opened and they got Fluttershy in the back. Pinkamena very quickly grew into her new job, which she enjoyed much more now than she would have kept doing working for the Cake family. Since she now worked for Colgate, Pinkamena also moved in with the dentist, much to Lyra's dismay. Colgate figured that by having Pinkamena move in with her, that she could accompany her during her midnight visits to the hospital.
