Colgate's Practice

Colgate slept with a smile on her face that night. She had never felt more powerful or more happy in her life. When she woke up the next morning both her and Pinkamena were in really good moods. While Lyra was in a good mood as well, she wondered what was going on with the two as they tend to be a bit more moody. She asked, "What's up with you two? Why are you in such good moods?"

Colgate realized that Lyra was on to something and that she needed ample time to take care of a couple of issues. She decided that she would simply close shop until next Monday. She said, "You know what Lyra? You know what Pinkamena? I am simply going to close up shop until next Monday."

Lyra's jaw dropped open. This was not something her sister would normally do and she intended to find out why she was closing for the rest of the week. She asked, "Colgate, why are you closing for the rest of the week? Don't you know how many patients this will inconvenience?"

Colgate knew that she had to lie. She said, "Well last night after work I got a phone call notifying me that I needed to go out of town. The dental hospital in Fillydelphia wanted me to come give them some advice on how to handle a patient I had sent there."

Pinkamena asked, "So does this mean that we don't have to show up at the office until next Monday?"

Colgate replied, "Nope, you don't." She tossed fifty bits to each of them and said, "Look, I have something to take care of at the office before I leave. Go out and have some fun. I should be back tomorrow or the next day at the latest."

Her two employees were excited to have some time away from the dentist. Lyra was thinking of having milkshakes at the cafe while Pinkamena was thinking about visiting some of her friends and perhaps going bowling. Colgate saw a chariot sitting unattended on her way to her office. She then saw Thunderlane standing not too far away. She yelled, "Hey Thunderlane, how would you like to earn some extra money?"

Thunderlane finished spraying his mane and replied, "Uh, yeah, sure. What do I have to do?"

Colgate said, "Would you be willing to fly me to Fillydelphia? I need to make a special delivery and I am going to take it there myself to make sure it gets there."

Thunderlane asked, "Why can't you just take the train?"

Colgate rolled her eyes and replied, "I just can't." She could tell that getting the Pegasus to pull the chariot was going to be tougher than she thought. She added, "Tell you what, I'll give you fifty bits AND a free teeth cleaning."

This changed his mindset completely. He replied, "Of course I can fly you there! Just let me know when you're ready."

Once she fastened Thunderlane to the chariot he began to fly east. The trip from Ponyville to Fillydelphia is no short trip so halfway between the two communities Colgate ordered Thunderlane to land. They landed by a lake that was surrounded by apple trees. Thunderlane was a bit nervous about where they were landing. He asked, "Colgate, what if this land is owned by somepony and we are trespassing? We could get into a lot of trouble."

Colgate replied, "Oh don't be such a worry wart. We landed in the absolute middle of nowhere. Chances are nopony lives within a hundred miles of here."

After three hours of resting the two continued their journey. Thunderlane asked why they rested for so long but Colgate would not give him a specific answer. A couple hours after sunset they began to fly over the city. Despite not having been there for years, Colgate still knew the city like the back of her hoof. She pointed her hoof towards a building with a large tower on the top of it. She asked, "You see that building over there with the tower on it? That is the building I need to go to."

Thunderlane replied, "Yes, I see it."

Colgate ordered, "Take me there, I have some business to take care of."

Thunderland nodded and flew her over there. He landed right in front of the main entrance to the building. Colgate looked up and saw a light on in one of the rooms on the third floor. She thought to herself, "Just like the old days, he stays late!"

She told Thunderlane that she would be back shortly as she went into the dental hospital. When she reached the entrance to his office he was slouched over his desk, looking over some medical records. She tapped on his door which caused him to look up. He growled, "Starry Nights, I told you to go home. I can't afford to pay you overtime. Go home or you're fired!"

Colgate shook her head and said, "Well Dr. White Tooth, I see you are as much of an asshole as you have always been."

He shouted, "Who's there? I'll have you arre...." He paused and realized who was there. He turned around to see a blue unicorn with a blue and white mane. He sneered, "Oh, I see it is the arrogant Colgate. What happened, you go bankrupt in Ponyville and you want your old job back? Well you're not getting it!"

Colgate replied, "Oh no doctor, I'm not here to ask for my old job back, I'm here to take you to Ponyville to show you how successful I have become!"

The doctor sensed an ominous tone of voice coming from Colgate, but kept up his normal demeanor. He growled, "Well I don't have time for you to go showing me your shitty office back home."

He had a sick feeling in his gut as Colgate's had a malicious smile on her face so he began to head towards the exit but Colgate quickly blocked it. She injected powerful sedatives straight into his neck. He quickly hit the floor. Because she had said that she sent her patients to Fillydelphia she let him fall to the floor and headed back to the records department and incinerated all the records with her magic. She then headed back to his office and dragged the unconscious doctor back to her chariot. Before leaving, she turned the light off to his office, shut the door and locked the main entrance to the hospital. Once she threw him on board she climbed in and shouted, "Thunderlane, we need to get home, now!"

Thunderlane got the chariot airborne again and headed west. While he wanted to take a short rest around midnight Colgate ordered him to keep flying as she had to get back home before dawn. It was around 3:30 in the morning when they got home. The doctor was still unconscious as she began to take him into the office. Thunderlane flew in front of the entrance and asked, "So, where is my money and what are you doing with that pony?"

Colgate knocked the Pegasus unconscious with a burst of energy. She also realized that the chariot must be disposed of. Once she got her patients inside she incinerated it entirely with her magic. She hauled the ponies down into her hospital where she got them fastened into their chairs. With Thunderlane only being knocked out with magic, he quickly came to as the spikes plowed into his hide. He screamed, "What the hay are you doing?"

This caused her other patients to wake up and start shouting, hoping that perhaps somepony would hear them but to no avail. Soon she had both patients safely fastened into their chairs. Her former boss started to come to not too much later. When he woke up he was still just semi-conscious. He had no idea where he was nor did he have any idea why he was in so much pain. He began to moan in pain as the feeling of spikes being plowed into his skin became more apparent.

A sinister voice echoed from the shadows. "Dr. White Tooth, I thought you would never wake up. I must have given you more sedatives than I thought."

Upon hearing the voice all the events from that night came flooding back to him. Being at the hospital, Colgate barging into his office, her talking about her practice and being injected with sedatives. He shouted, "You'll never get away with this! They'll lock you up for false imprisonment!"

Colgate laughed, "Oh what a naive statement. Nopony will even notice you are gone and probably celebrate your absence!"

Thunderlane tried to lunge out of his chair but could not get out. He shouted "You USED ME! You used me to carry your newest prisoner back here. When I get out of here I'm going to the cops!"

Colgate walked over to him and smacked him. She laughed, "Well then Thunderlane, since that is the case I will make sure you never leave. After all, you turning me into the authorities will not allow me to accomplish my ultimate goal."

White Tooth asked, "Oh, and what is that goal of yours Colgate?"

Colgate replied, "It is my duty, my moral obligation to make sure that nopony in this town ever shows up here with a cavity again." She pointed her hoof over at her other patients and continued, "You see these ponies doctor? They dared to show up in my office with cavities and gum diseases. I have decided that proper oral hygiene must be forced upon this town since they won't take care of their teeth willingly."

White Tooth asked, "Then why did you abduct me?"

Colgate smacked him and continued, "I abducted you because you were an asshole to work under. I can tell by the way you were talking when you thought I was your receptionist that you still are an asshole to work under." She smacked him again and continued, "I'm doing your employees a favor, I'm doing the whole city of Fillydelphia a favor!"

The older dentist knew that he was in trouble, he knew that his captor always thought ahead but then realized something. He realized that Colgate had never thought of a way to dispose of the evidence, well that he knew of anyway. He growled, "So Colgate, I see you have many prisoners and plenty of torture devices here. How are you going to dispose of the evidence?"

Colgate smiled and boasted, "Oh I've had that planned out since before I even started doing this. I ALWAYS think three or four steps ahead of everypony else."

Filthy, who had been quite for some time could no longer remain so. He shouted, "Oh and how do you plan on doing this Colgate? You know burning this place to the ground won't erase this dungeon of yours! It will only expose it for all to see!"

Colgate walked over and smacked the businesspony. She growled, "Oh you'll see!" She paused and started to laugh, "Oh wait, you'll be dead before then, so nevermind."

Rarity screamed, "Colgate, it has been what seems to be an eternity since you last fed us! Feed us or else!"

Colgate readied five syringes of powerful sedatives and injected them into her patients. Quickly they fell asleep. Since Colgate told Lyra and Pinkamena that she may not be back until the day after tomorrow, she decided she would just lay low and keep an eye on her patients, besides she wanted to get plenty of rest without any disruptions.
