Colgate's Practice 3: Nipping the Problem in the Bud

After staying up very late the night before, the morning sun would shine in the window far too soon for Amethyst and Colgate. This time Colgate was the first to rise. This morning she hissed and growled at the sun but another force would prevent her from going back to sleep, hunger. Her stomach was growling so loudly that it woke Amethyst. Amethyst asked, "Colgate, is it time for breakfast already? It seems so early."

Colgate growled, "Yes, it is. Well considering we stayed up until 0300 last night, morning is going to come sooner than we would like."

Amethyst smiled and asked, "Well it was well worth it now wasn't it sweetie?"

Colgate was still dead tired but was not about to wait any longer than she needed to for breakfast. She replied, "It was, now let's go get some breakfast."

They headed to the dining hall where they were greeted by the general of her special army, Pearly Whites. He asked, "Colgate, Amethyst, how are you two feeling this morning."

In a cheerful voice Amethyst replied, "Oh we're feeling wonderful, absolutely wonderful aren't we sweetie?"

Colgate grunted, "I guess. It would have been better had we got more than four hours of sleep." She shrugged her shoulders to loosen them up and continued, "While it would be nice, I can't go back to bed after breakfast, we have far too much to talk about today."

Pearly Whites asked, "What do we have to talk about. We haven't had any bad patients across Equestria in quite some time."

Colgate replied, "We haven't but we do still have some every now and then and I have decided the time has come to nip the problem in the bud. If we can take out the troublemakers, I can finally create the cavity-free utopia I have dreamed of since graduating from the Dental Academy."

Pearly Whites had an ominous feeling within him as he wondered who Colgate considered troublemakers. He had concerns that Colgate was going to overstep her bounds and do things that Luna had not given her permission to do. He gasped, "You're not going to do what I think you're going to do are you?"

As soon as he finished asking this their breakfast was brought into them. Colgate was happy to see her meal coming. She replied, "Not now general, not during breakfast!"

While Amethyst and Pearly Whites were calmly eating their meal Colgate was devouring her's. By the time Amethyst had eaten one plate, Colgate had finished four. Upon finishing her fourth plate of food and downing a whole pitcher of cider on her own she shouted, "Now that's what I call a good meal!" She burped and continued, "I'll be back guys. I need to brush."

While Colgate was gone brushing and rinsing her mouth out, which takes at least ten minutes after each meal, Pearly Whites was curious as to what was going on and thought Amethyst might know something. He asked, "Amethyst, do you know what is running through her mind? Whatever it is I have a feeling that it may be outside of what Luna has given us permission to do."

Amethyst replied, "She hasn't said a word to me but sometimes I feel like she puts her work ahead of me. She didn't even seem to care yesterday was our anniversary, all she cared about was going up to Luna's ceremony so that she can keep us in the queen's good graces."

Pearly Whites knew well enough what Luna would have done had they not shown up. He replied, "Amethyst, she is not putting her work ahead of you. I know how Luna is. She would have fired both of you, thought of you being ungrateful for what she has done for you and maybe even banished the two of you to the sun."

Amethyst sighed, "Ok, I understand that but still, when we have patients it seems like she focuses a bit more on torturing them than she does on our marriage."

Pearly Whites knew that Amethyst often times gets overly emotional but he tried to comfort her. He replied, "I know it seems like that but trust me, she does love you, she loves you a lot more than you could ever imagine."

Amethyst knew that Colgate shared some things with him that she shared with nopony else but she was unsure about what he was going to say. She asked, "Oh and how do you know this?"

Pearly Whites asked in return, "You know how sometimes you two will take two or three day holidays together?"

Amethyst replied, "Yeah, I do."

Pearly Whites replied, "Well she has gotten word many times that there are bad patients out there that need punishing but tells us not to go abduct them so she can focus on you, on your marriage, on making you happy. She did what she did yesterday so you two can continue to live your happy, comfortable lives."

Amethyst could tell the general was speaking the truth. She began to tear up and cry, "I never knew that. I know she loves me but I never knew she let some bad patients go unpunished so she can focus on me. I feel so awful now."

Pearly Whites continued, "And when she is just around me, she constantly goes on and on about what a sweet wife you are, about how her life was empty before you came along, about how she developed a crush on you the first day you started working for her and how relieved she was when you two took care of Sea Swirl."

Amethyst replied, "I know, that was a very liberating moment for the two of us."

Pearly Whites wondered why they ever had Sea Swirl with them when Colgate would tell him about the past. He asked, "Amethyst, can I ask you a question? Why did you two have Sea Swirl involved in your relationship anyway?"

Amethyst blushed as she was kind of embarrassed over the question but felt like she could trust the general. She replied, "Well it is a complicated story. Sea Swirl and I went to the academy up in Canterlot together and while we never admitted it, we did have a crush on one another. Colgate hired Sea Swirl and I at the same time. Thing is, all three of us found one another sexy and that caused us all to love each other. It wasn't too long after the two of us started working for her that Sea Swirl and I moved in with Colgate, and of course with that it wasn't long until we began to have threesomes. From that point we shared the same bed every night and truly loved one another until Sea Swirl developed an immediate crush on Twilight out at the bunker. When that happened Colgate killed her, which allowed her and I to grow closer and eventually get married." She began to laugh a bit and continued, "I'm sure she has told you how she stabbed Sea Swirl to death with Twilight's horn, right?"

Pearly Whites said, "Yeah she has mentioned to me about how she killed Sea Swirl but she certainly never mentioned the three of you having a sexual relationship. I know she enjoys torturing other ponies who don't care for their teeth but I never thought she was the type to brutally kill a pony the way she did."

Amethyst was unable to reply as Colgate headed back into the dining hall. She smiled and said, "Nothing like a great meal followed by a good teeth brushing!" She looked over at her wife and general and asked like she does after every meal, "So are you two going to brush?"

Both nodded yes and headed off towards their bathrooms. Before they got out of earshot Colgate yelled, "Meet me in the throne room once you're done. We have important issues that must be discussed!"

While they headed off to brush their teeth Colgate had a sadistic smile on her face and was rubbing her hooves together. She began to laugh, "Oh those bakers are going to be in for a huge surprise. This is going to make my times of torturing bad patients look sweet and innocent. Since we have Luna's blessings, I don't even have to worry about hiding corpses or destroying my own property!"
