August 22, 2552
On route to Summer Solstice's evacuation site.
In the distance three warthogs, one being a passenger carrier and two having a machine gun are driving through a battlefield filled with corpses. Dismembered body parts and guts, it was a scene from hell.
"We need to get to the evacuation ASAP!" Comet yelled.
"We'll get there in 15 minutes max," Viper said in a calm voice.
"Shit. 5 banshee coming from behind us," Heatwave said.
"On it, Firebrand let’s do it!" Storm said as they aimed the machine guns to the group of Banshee that started to fire on the warthogs. Two of the five banshees were destroyed and they crashed into the ground. The rest scattered and started to fire their fuel rod cannons, but can't hit them.
"Damn it, can you hit them Storm!" Firebrand yelled.
"No, these asshole are moving too fast, Star, can you use your rocket launcher?" Storm said to Star.
"Yeah, just stop rocking the 'hog so I can get a clear shot," Star said.
He took aim with his rocket launcher and waited for the lock-on. He fired at a banshee that hung too close and was blown up. Star took aim at another and fired, taking out the other banshee. The last one flew away after seeing its squad destroyed.
"Okay, I hope it's the last of them," Phoenix said.
"It is because we're at the evacuation point," Viper said.
What the team saw was absolute chaos. Soldiers were trying to get as many civilians into pelicans as fast as possible.
Then a sniper yelled, "Phantoms inbound!" Which made the non-military personnel to take cover while the marines and ODST started firing at the covenant troops.
Viper then told his team "Firebrand, Flame, and Comet, get to the snipers to provide fire support. The rest of you, come with me to help those soldiers out."
A lot of "yes sir" and "understood" were said.
As they ran to the evacuation point, Viper went to a sergeant and asked, "When is the next pelicans coming?"
The SGT said, "In about 20 minutes." He then went to a high point and took his sniper rifle and started firing at the covenant. Viper took aim and fired a round at a Zealot elite. The round hit his head and it turned into a spray of blue blood and brain matter, causing the grunts to run in terror. While this is happening. The team at the evac point were being pushed back to the lift pad, which they start to lose cover. Firebrand started to pick off the Jackals and brutes with deadly precision. It was a blood bath, both human and alien, covering the ground and fresh corpses were everywhere some with guts hanging out, which made some troops and civvies sick.
For the last 18 minutes for every human soldier that died, so does 16 covenant troops, then a group of pelicans came and wiped out the rest of the covenant soldiers. They started to land so they could pick up all of the civilians and the soldiers, including Viper and his team.
Viper asked the pilot, "Where are we going?"
The pilot said, "To the Summer Solstice"
"Well?" Callie asked. "Where are we going?"
Viper answered, "To the Summer Solstice. Why?"
Storm butted in and said, "Last I heard, it had a covenant slip space drive and shielding in it."
After the conversation, the pelican landed. Everyone was aboard the ship and started to unload the passenger's.
Then the captain spoke over the PA system, "This is the captain speaking, we're about to jump in 30 minutes. All non-personnel, please report to the sleeping quarters."
Viper, Marcus, Ryan, Brandon, Blake, Callie, Andrew, Jaeden, Alex, and Luke went to the bridge. There was a captain in his early 50s with gray hair. His name was Captain Jackson. After meeting the Spartans, one of the ensign told them that a group of corvettes and a CCS-Battlecruiser was heading towards the ship.
"Anya, how much is our M.A.C cannons charged?" Jackson asked. Anya, the ship A.I. was in service for 4 years.
"They will be ready in 5 minutes and they're sending boarding parties to stop the ship Captain," she said in a calm and leveled voice.
"Damn, get the deck cannons,AA guns online and launch all archer missiles. Tell all fire teams to repel boarders," Jackson told Anya.
She saluted him and dissipated to give the orders. The Captain then turned to Viper and his team and said, "I want you and your team to help out those fire teams and repel those boarders," they all saluted and ran to the three locations. One is at the infirmary, another is at the hangar, and the last is the crew's sleeping quarters.
Viper sent Marcus, Ryan and Brandon to the infirmary. Blake, Callie, and Andrew to the hangar. The rest were sent to the crew's quarters. As they head to their destination, they started to feel vibration telling that they've been boarded. Marcus and his team made it to the infirmary where a firefight started only moments earlier. They started to unleash a barrage of bullets to the group of Elites and Brutes. The rounds hit them and tore through flesh and organs, killing most of the brutes. The rest took cover and started to take pot shots at anyone outside of cover.
Both sides were firing blindly, only the cries of pain telling them that they hit someone. Eventually suicide Grunts ran through the door with plasma grenades in hand. Some marines saw this and killed the one inside, blowing up anyone inside the room, which covered everything in blood and plasma burns. After they thought they were winning, a familiar snapping hiss was heard, confirming their fears. A Zealot squad was in there. The fire team looked for them, but couldn't find them, until a Corporal’s head was cut in half, spewing blood onto the ceiling and other soldiers.
This made them close in a circle to ensure no sneak attack. Marcus heard a trash can fall over, causing him to shoot in that direction. To his surprise he hit one of the three Zealots, which angered the elite and his squad tried to kill him. Unfortunately for them the rest of the fire team saw them and fired, causing their shields to drop, leaving them helpless against the bullets, ripping through flesh and muscle. Riddled with holes everywhere on their bodies. When they ran out of rounds in the clip, they went back to the infirmary, helping the nurse with treating the wounded and putting the dead into body bags.
As the battle raged on, Callie and her group were able to defend the hanger long enough for the defense turrets to be turned on, but it came at a cost. Out of 120 defenders, only 15 are left alive, excluding Callie, Blake, and Andrew. The walls were covered in blood and floors littered with guts, bones, dismembered limbs, and headless corpses. It was a site from Hell itself. Callie and the rest of the survivors were moving the covenant bodies to throw to space and the human bodies into body bags for cryo freeze to bury on a planet.
After 20 of minutes fighting the quarters were secured. Having little civilian or soldier casualty. As the team regrouped to the bridge, Cpt. Jackson gives them an after action report.
"When they launched the boarding craft, two sister ships, U.N.S.C Omaha and Blitzkrieg, came to our distress beacon after it was activated. They have the same upgrade as our ship, so they are joining us in leaving the planet. Before they stop communication, they sent us coordinates to a system far away from covenant reach. So that’s where we're going."
After a couple minutes of silence, Jaeden asked, "So we're going to an uncharted location with no chance of returning?" The captain nodded.
"All right then, if anyone needs me I'll be in the gym," as he started to walk away the other eight followed him, leaving Viper, who went to the cafeteria. Ten minutes later the three ships enter slip space and left Reach in order to save the lives of the ships, but little did they know they will find a certain lost ship from Harvest
August 22, 2552 (one month after the Elements of Harmony were found)
Golden Oaks Library, Ponyville, Equestria
The day after Applejack and Rarity stayed over the night, Twilight was checking if any books were damaged from the storm. "Okay, all the books are organized and alphabetized. Spike and Matthew, how is the new bookshelf coming?" She asks the two.
"It's coming along, just have to let it sit for a while until the glue sets in," Matthew said.
It's been a month since they moved to Ponyville and Matthew was friends with, Fluttershy, Pinkie pie, Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash. He would hang out with Fluttershy, Applejack, or Rainbow Dash. Matthew doesn't hate Rarity or Pinkie pie, he just doesn't want to hang out with them a lot. With Rarity, she tried to get him in different clothes or be her living mannequin and with Pinkie Pie, she tries to throw him a surprise party, regardless how much he says no. Then there's Lyra. She stalks him when he's alone, asking him questions as fast as Pinkie Pie, so he tries to stay inside as long as possible. After cleaning the library they made a quick meal. Twilight and Matthew had a salad and Spike a bowl of Sapphires.
After dinner they all took showers. They said goodnight and went to bed. It didn't take long for them to sleep, except for Twilight, as she was still thinking about the question she asked Princess Celestia a month ago. ‘’Is there life out in the stars, waiting to be discovered?'’ She thought before going to bed.
Twilight’s dream.
She woke up to thunderous booms and ponies screaming and yelling orders. Twilight walked outside to see most of Ponyville in ruins and the sky looked like it was on fire. She then smelled something that almost made her puke. As she navigated through the debris and some unknown bodies, some ranging from small aliens with gas mask to giant worm like creatures with some sort of glowing cannon and shield. She heard fighting near Sweet Apple Acres. She ran to the apple orchard and saw the same aliens from town and to her shock, humans wearing some type of armor and using what looks like a black box and a barrel at the end. The thing made a bright light at the end and made a loud noise.
She saw a smoke line hit one of the bird like aliens in the head, killing it instantly. Twilight heard rumbling and the same noise in the sky. She looked up and saw small purple fliers fighting a bigger olive colored airship before the smaller one exploded. Twilight saw a bird like creature wielding some sort of transparent shield and a C-shaped weapon with a green lighting near the end of the weapon before exploding by an explosion created by a small rock. She heard voices talking before stopping. She wondered why they stopped. When a blue ball of light passes by her, making her duck behind debris.
She was starting to cry when she felt pain in her left arm. She looked over and her eyes widened at her arm. A small part of her arm was burned and the muscles were showing. Twilight heard more firing and loud cries of agony. She poked her head up and saw two black armored humans walking where she was. Twilight was scared that they would kill her. She heard them stop moving. She looked up and saw them standing in front of her.
One of them asked, "Are you hurt?" Twilight nodded and showed her arm and winced from the movement. One of them grabbed a small canister and applied some type of foam onto her arm.
The same one asked, "Is your name Twilight Sparkle?" Twilight nodded.
The second soldier said, "One of the ponies asked us to find you. She goes by the name Rainbow Dash."
She looked at them and said, “Where are my friends at?"
"They are on the U.N.S.C Omaha in orbit. We need you to get on board, follow us," the first one said. She nodded and stood up. When she did, they started to walk to the evacuation site. The walk was uneventful until they were 600 feet away, then they heard a buzzing noise coming from behind them.
One of the soldiers turned around and yelled, "Shit, drones incoming!" He then turned to
Twilight and said, “We want you to start running that way," he pointed to Applejack's house. "And don't stop, do you understand?" She nodded and started running before hearing, what the soldiers called plasma fire and gunfire. She turned around and saw what looked like bugs with arms and legs killing and dragging the dead soldiers’ bodies away from site.
Twilight started to run again, but she thought “What are those things?” She heard roaring and explosions. She turned around and saw what she thought to be carriages without horses to pull it and a big blue vehicle that shot blue fire that exploded on impact. One of them saw her and turned to her location. She immediately ran to hide, but tripped on something. Twilight looked and she instantly puked. What she saw was a human body without its head and some missing organs, making it look like something ate the person.
Twilight then heard Rainbow Dash’s voice yelling to her, "Over here," she looked to the hovering airship and saw Rainbow with, in her opinion, three tall armored humans, one wielding a long barreled rifle and the other two smaller smgs. Rainbow Dash says with an air of authority and respect. As Twilight asked what happened to the others. Before Rainbow Dash said anything the ship shook violently and they started to float, signaling them they're falling. They saw how fast they were getting to the ground. Twilight and Rainbow Dash started screaming as the ship hit the ground.
Reality
Twilight woke up as the dream was over and she looked out the window. She saw that everything was normal, no fighting or dead bodies anywhere. Twilight went and checked on Spike and Matthew before going to bed, but before succumbing to sleep, she thought, “what if this actually happens?”
Viper's Team and Past
Summer Solstice, Cafeteria
August 23, 2552
As Viper grabbed his tray of food and went to the far corner of the cafeteria, some of the civilians and soldiers were staring at him, either in awe or fear. 'Of course this would happen'. Viper thought. Ever since the first Spartan 3 entered the war, most people saw them as invincible soldiers, while the rest saw them as ONI pets. As Viper was eating, he felt someone tap him on the shoulder. He turned around to see a 17 year-old man and a 6 year-old girl holding trays of food.
The older one asked, "Excuse me, but is it ok me and my sister sit here? All the other tables are full," Viper said nothing, but nodded, allowing them to sit across him. Normally he would politely say no, but since he had a soft spot for kids, he made an exception.
As they ate in peace, the girl asked Viper, "Where are we going, mister?"
Viper stopped eating and said, "We're going to a place where the covenant won't find us."
After a couple of minutes he finished his meal and put the tray on top of a table and looked for his teammates somewhere on the ship. After wandering the ship for 30 minutes, he found Marcus bench pressing twice his own weight. 'Something tells me that some people tried to tell him not lift that much, but he's hard headed like that."
He knows that Marcus, once his mind is set to it, it's almost impossible to persuade him, but when he’s with his team, he's calm and cool, even in the most dangerous situation. This was proven when a covenant army charged an evacuation site and the only support was 6 scorpions and 12 warthogs. They were able to stop the covenant long enough to get all the colonists off world, but when a scarab showed up, Marcus grabbed a couple of grenades and boarded the scarab and destroyed it before it could shoot down the evac birds, saving everyone onboard. The armor he wears is a recon with the color red and silver highlights and his rank was a Brigadier.Marcus carries a M392 DMR and a M6D pistol and has sprint,making him the team runner.
As Viper continued to look for the rest, he found Andrew and Ryan in the ship hanger talking to each other. Ryan was timid around new people, like the team when he first join, but afterward, he warmed up to them,he wears a white eod armor and has a warrant officer insignia on his chestplate and uses armor lock. he carries a MA37 assault rifle and a rocket launcher.Andrew was the more quiet type of person, but isn't afraid to speak his mind once and a while. Andrew has the rank of captain and wears a dark orange cqc armor with a evade armor ablility and carries a BR55 battle rifle and a M45 tactical shotgun,making him the team the close quarters combat expert. They are the perfect pair when it comes to fighting. They're both experts in demolition and hacking. They would be seen working together in any type of scenarios. He gives a quick hello and went to look for the rest of them.
He walked to the hangar and saw a group of civilians and soldiers in a circle surrounding someone, so he went in that direction and saw what the commotion was about. Viper saw Brandon and Blake arm wrestling each other. Brandon was a smart mouth and Blake was lazy, but when given orders, they both do it without hesitation. Brandon is a Commander ,wears a ODST armor with the color gray and has a jet pack.He carries a SRS99C sniper rifle and two M6D pistol.Blake, As a sergeant, wears a forest green operator armor and uses a hologram ablilty and uses a M45 shotgun and a M6D pistol. Even though they are partners, they will try to prove they are stonger to the others.As Viper got closer he heard one of Brandon's smart mouthed comments.
"After I win I’m going to find 100 Blake look a like, put them in a room and throw you the world's creepiest surprise party," he said as he pushed more onto Blake’s arm.
Meanwhile
As Pinkie Pie was closing up shop, her hair became frizzy for some unknown reason. Twilight knocked on the door and saw her hair.
"What happened to your hair?" She asked.
"My Pinkie sense is telling me that somepony is throwing a party without me," Pinkie says.
"So I guess this is one of your new senses, huh?" Twilight asked. Pinkie only nodded.
Back on the ship.
As Viper left the other two to their little game, he found Jaeden and Alex holding back Luke from hitting an O.D.S.T in the face. Alex was a Major and a scout of the team. He was also smarter than any other Spartans in the U.N.S.C in the war. He is known to use the enemies’ weakness to his advantage. Alex wears a E.V.A armor with the color dark brown and has active camo and sports a modified assault rifle,which uses plasma infused rounds, and a longed barrel battle rifle. Luke and Jaeden were the two new soldiers in his team. Jaeden, a private, wears a Grenadier armor and has a dark yellow color. he uses a M319 grenade luancher and smg, he has a heart of gold and will never leave anyone behind. Luke was known to get angry when someone makes fun of his team or tries to hurt them . Luke wears a military police and was a lieutenant colonel. he uses a prototype smg which fires heated 5mm round that burns armor and skin upon contact and a pistol that uses semi or three round burst. after breaking up the fight, he left.
He started to look for Callie, the team’s medic and comms officer.she wears a air assault armor with the color sky blue. her weapons is two experimental smg that fires 5mm plasma laced rounds.Callie was free spirited to a dangerous degree, like when it’s a new vehicle she will take it for a test drive, mostly ending up breaking it. She is known to go insane once provoked.
The rest of the team tends to avoid her when it happens. He found her in the armory, cleaning her weapons with a smile that could rival the Joker’s, sending a shiver down his spine. Viper left without making a sound.
Then there was him. When he was an 8 year-old when he appeared at a couple’s doorstep, they took him in and called him their own son. A year later the covenant attacked the planet he was on. In order to save him, they put him under a bunch of debris before a pack of brutes came in and killed them. After that they ate the bodies while he watched. When two marines found him he was shaken to his core. When ONI gave him a choice to fight them, he didn't give them a second to say anything. the day before he got his augmentation, he asked for the spartan 2 augmentation, this dumbfounded the scientist, but given him the spartan 2 augmentation,thinking that having another spartan 2 could help push the war into their favor, in which he survived. he wears a Hayabusa armor and has the commander insignia on his chestplate. his weapon of choice also dumbfounded ONI, he uses a WW2 era mosin-nagant sniper, which fires a explosive 7.62 mm round and a silenced smg,used by ODSTs when dropped behind enemy lines.
In 2549, he was a survivor of Arcadia. He was diagnosed with P.T.S.D after the battle. He doesn't know his real family, only thing was a small necklace with the letter 'A.J and Big M' was etched into it. After a while he felt the ship shake, telling him they exited slip space. He then heads to the bridge, putting the necklace away, hoping to find answers about his past.
Twilight confrontation and revelations
Golden Oaks Library, Ponyville
August 24, 2552
Twilight woke up in cold sweat. 'This is the third time this week' she thought. Ever since she had the first nightmare 2 days ago, she’d been having the same dream. Each getting worse every night. This dream was in Canterlot. The streets were littered with guts and limbs, with the occasional missing head. Near the end, she heard a whining noise coming above her. She looked to the sky and saw a huge ship that has a glowing light coming from the middle. She was too scared to move.
As it continued to build up, it finally came down on her, but before it hit her, she woke up.
Since she couldn't go back to sleep, she went to her balcony to remake her star chart. As she was recording, she saw what looked like three holes in space itself.
After a few seconds passed, they closed up, making it look like nothing happened. Twilight wrote a letter and decided to wake Spike up so he could give it to her mentor.
"Another 5 more minutes," Spike said. Since waking him up wasn't doing anything, she decided to use a different approach. She got a bowl of diamonds and shook it, which got his attention. "What, who’s there? Oh it’s you, Twilight," Spike said.
Twilight said, "If you send this letter to Celestia, you can have this," after that, the young dragon sent the letter and grabbed the bowl out of her hands.
After 10 minutes had passed, she heard knocking at the door. As she opened it, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack were standing there, which she let them in. Three minutes later, a bright golden light was seen in the library. After it stopped, it showed Princess Celestia and Luna, her brother and parents, in which they hugged each other. After the little reunion, Celestia spoke. "Hello Twilight."
Twilight then said, "Hello, Princess Celestia and Luna."
Luna asked, "Why did you ask us to come here?"
Rainbow Dash said, "Yeah, why are we here, especially at 1 in the morning?"
Twilight sighed and said, "Well, for the last 3 days, I keep getting nightmares."
This got Luna attention. "Nightmares you say? What kind of nightmares?"
After saying that, Twilight started to tell everyone about the nightmarish dreams she gets. It’s about a group of aliens that fight these armored humans, to everyponies shock. As she progresses some of them excuse themselves to throw up. She gets to her recent one. "I woke up in Canterlot, seeing the two armies fighting. Then these armored humans showed up in a weird airship. One of them was hit in the chest, instead of killing it, some sort of shielding stopped it, but it was giving a dull glow, making the rest to get to cover," Twilight said.
Shining armor stepped up and asked, "What is their military like?"
Twilight said "In my second dream they said they had an army called the marines, then the space navy, with a group called the air force, along with another group called ODST or Orbital Drop Shock Troopers." Everyone was stunned about these 'space humans', as Rainbow Dash says that they had so much military power.
"Who are the armored, shielded ones called, if you don't mind?" Fluttershy asked in a voice that it could have been muffled by breathing.
"I believe they were called Spartans or something like that," Twilight said. "I believe in my dream, one of the soldiers said they were given an augmentation that increases that person’s muscles and bones," everypony was dumb struck by this.
After 2 hours she decided to tell them about something that happened a few hours earlier. She told them since she couldn't go to sleep, she decided to work on her map chart when she noticed three bright holes that looked like someone or something ripped through space itself. After saying that Celestia started to talk.
"While this will take a little bit of time to digest this information, can you give a description about one of these 'Spartans'?"
Twilight took a deep breath and started talking. "One of them I saw was using a gun, as a human said, that had a wooden frame and some sort of chamber that has to be pulled in the back. It had a scope attached to the top of the gun," she waited a minute before continuing. "The Spartan had armor that looked like it came out of ancient Jaypon. He had a sword on his back. He had his helmet off. What his face looked like shocked me," as she stopped, everypony was leaning towards her. She finally said, "The Spartan looked like Matthew."
Everypony started to talk to each other until her father, Night Light, said, "How can he be a soldier? He can't hurt or attack anypony, ever."
"I know, dad, but he was different." Twilight said to her father.
"Different how?" Her brother asked.
Twilight finally said, "He was taller than Matthew and had a more pale skin and his eyes were a bright blue and his hair was cut short."
Luna asked Twilight, "How tall was he?"
"Around Celestia’s height."
After those words left Twilight’s mouth, everypony gasped and started whispering to each other. Someone that was almost as tall as Celestia was mind boggling. "He also has a necklace that he dropped when he was fighting a tall monkey like being. I went to pick it up and saw two names engraved into it. One was A.J and the other was Big M before he took it from me."
After she said that Applejack spoke up for the first time. "Wait a minute, did you say a necklace with those two names engraved in it." Twilight nodded.
Applejack spoke again. "Well, 14 years ago, we had a slave who was nicknamed Viper. He was a hard worker and helped us a lot. He was almost like an older brother until-"Applejack stopped.
"Until what?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Until our farm was attacked by timber wolves. He decided to lure them into the Everfree forest. It was the last time we saw him," Applejack said, crying a little.
Everypony was shocked to hear this. Applejack had a slave that she considered a brother. She stopped crying and let Twilight talk.
"So, princess, what do you think?"
After a full 5 minutes of silence, Celestia answered. "Since they aren't born in Equestria; they are considered free, but if slavers try to take them, I am willing to overlook their demise," shocking everypony. After that they all left to go home, but before that, Applejack thought 'is he still alive?'

August 24, 2552
Summer Solstice's bridge
As the team of Spartans grouped up at the bridge, they saw Captain Jackson talking to the other two Captains of the U.N.S.C Omaha and Blitzkrieg, Nicolas Sarkozy and Nikolai Chernov. The two Russian Captains come from Earth, humanity's home world. They’ve known each other when they were Ensign of a flagship during Preston Cole's last stand. They both reached the ranks of Captain and given two ships to command. They were talking about having slip space probes on key areas so that if the covenant finds them, they could have a chance to fight back and have a drone sent to every planet to see where they could inhabit.
Jackson turned around and saw the group of Spartans entering the bridge. They all saluted the Captain, who gave the salute back. "Thank you for coming on such short notice," The captain said.
"So what’s going to happen now that we're at the location?" Alex asked.
"The U.N.S.C Omaha is going to put slip space probes onto moons and in space, so if the Covenant decides to come to the system, we'll get the drop on them while this happens. Blitzkrieg and The Summer Solstice will look for a planet with an atmosphere to support life. Omaha Captain Nicolas Sarkozy is sending Centurion to assist you on the mission. Now head down to the hangar to meet with the pelican that will fly you to the ship. You're dismissed," after giving orders, the captain saluted the Spartans and the Spartans went to the main hangar.
During the walk to the hangar, Callie asked her team, "Who the hell is Centurion? Are they a group of soldiers we never heard before or what?"
They all started to talk to each other until they looked at Viper. He then sighed and started talking. "Centurion was supposed to be a project where regular soldiers were hand-picked to wear a prototype armor that enhanced the soldier without augmentation. They believe that they would change the war to our favor. There were supposed to be fifty Centurion-1 before Reach was attacked. Never expected to be here. I wonder if Samantha is one of them," Viper said, muttering the last sentence to himself.
Unfortunately for him, Ryan catches the last comment. "What was that Viper?" Catching the attention of the team.
"Samantha was a friend of my parents who adopted me. She is a marine and reached the rank of Sergeant Major. She carries an assault rifle with a spiker round and shotgun that shoots flechette rounds. She may be tough on the outside, but the inside, she treats everyone like her own child. But you didn't hear from me."
As Viper finished, Brandon said, "Um, I'm sorry, did you say something?" Earning a chuckle from everyone.
After heading to the hangar, they boarded the pelican on route to the Omaha. The Summer Solstice and Blitzkrieg went off looking for a planet to inhabit. The Spartan team took the time to relax and talk about what’s going to happen to them.
They felt the Pelican landing, so they got their gear and waited for the ship to land. After hearing a hissing noise, the door started to lower and they saw ten armored soldiers with their helmets on, except for one. One of them was a woman in her mid-30s with brunette hair. She then proceed to hug Viper before letting go of him.
"Well, Viper, how's the ONI spooks been treating you and your team?" She asked him jokingly.
"You know, putting us in different rooms and asking the same damn questions. So who are they?"
After Samantha looked back to her team, she started talking. "Well, we're alpha squad of the Centurion. The first one is Staff Sgt. Hiroyuki "Ultraman" Hamatachi. He's the team’s close quarters combat expert. The main reason why he carries a submachine gun that shoots explosive rounds and a katana. The dude literally has anime in his room and anything related to it," they passed him and nodded at him. "The next is Master Sgt. Abraham "Hercules" Patterson. Don't let his nickname trick you, he's nice to anyone that he knows, but piss him off, you better start running. His weapons are a modified battle rifle that has a grenade launcher, a colt .45 and a trench knife. His armor abilities are Sprint and jetpack.”
For the next 10 minutes, Samantha told Viper and his team about her teammates.
The fourth is Lt. Tanya "Bubbles" Malichnikov who was the team’s comm officer. Her nickname implies to her a lot. Her bubbly and cheerful attitude was contagious. Her weapons are a shotgun and a CZ75 pistol. The next person was Lt. Cpl. Sharath "Mr. Wizard" Gholashabal. She's the team’s sniper and scout. She was brash and arrogant to people she doesn't know, but when she does, she talks to them when she gets the chance. Her weapons kind of confusing to Viper’s team. It was a PSG1 sniper that uses 7.62x54mms rounds that has a modification that uses a tracking device to show how the bullet will hit and a smg.
The 6th is Pvt. Joseph "Porkchop" Gascongnue. He's is the team’s demolition expert. His nickname was given to him because he was a chef before joining the army. His weapons are a DMR rifle with a bigger round and a Beretta pistol. He is quiet and smart, but is more prone to violence. The last two are Pvt. George E. "Hotshot" Kliensch and Corpsman Faa Mei "Doc" Luu. They both are stoic to everyone, but their team. Hotshot uses a U.N.S.C standard sniper with a bigger magazine and a shotgun. Doc uses a smg and a new weapon that fires small electric rounds. Most of them don't use armor abilities since the suits are easy to move in.
After the introductions, they started to move the probes so they could have an early warning if the Covenant enter the system. Before loading into the pelicans, they heard singing coming from the other side of the hangar.
Samantha said, "Oh god, not this again," everyone, including her teammates looked at her.
"What do you mean?" Eventually she told everyone about a Spartan 2 called delta626 or Rusty.
The man will sacrifice himself for anyone and has a habit of randomly singing. His nickname is Minstrel Boy from the soldiers due to the fact he raises morals. He’s kind to the S-3 and hates slavery with a passion, also his weapons are a rocket launcher, an assault rifle with needler rounds for the tips, and a gravity hammer called "The Tenderizer". They passed that side of the hangar, only to see a floating pirate ship filled with pirates who are singing an old shanty.
This got everyone’s attention. "How the hell is this fucking possible?!"Everyone, except Sam asked.
"Don't ask. Apparently the laws of physics doesn't apply to him," they met Delta and found out he was the same Spartan that helped retake Harvest.
He also told them he was in cryogenic sleep due to his ship losing its FTL drive. In reality he's in his 40s. After the meeting they moved the probes onto the moons while the Omaha put probes in space. With the last one left, they moved to a moon that orbits a gas planet. As they place the last one they started to talk to each other.
"Well, looks like this is the last one," Delta said.
"Good because I'm starving. So turn this on and we're done."
As they turned on, Viper picked up a faint distress beacon coming from the other side of the planet. "Hold up. There's a beacon on the other side of the planet. Let's go check it out."
They hesitated at first, but went on. They saw where it was transmitting and they saw a ship. A ship thought to be missing 20 years earlier. "Holy shit, is that the..."before Brandon finished, Luke finished for him.
"Yes it is. Someone contact the Omaha. Tell them we found something that was considered lost."

A small blue light formed on a pedestal, a few seconds later a small human like hologram formed from the ball. "Captain, wake up. Something has happened."

To say that Celestia wasn't angry was like saying that the Battle for Harvest was a small Skirmish, a huge understatement. After heading to the Parliament building to have the slave law removed, not only was it revoked, but they told Celestia that she signed it into law and the only way to remove is to become a queen. She, along with her sister, Twilight and her friends, except Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, were sitting in the throne room.
"Can't believe they told me that the law can't be removed," Celestia muttered. Luna saw her older sister’s angry attitude and so she tried to defuse it before she gets too unstable.
"Sister, we know that this didn't work, but this doesn't mean you have to get upset over it," Luna said.
Eventually Celestia calmed down and started to speak. "I know that there will be another time, but they're right. I can't remove a law without either being a queen or having the royal family agree on it and since you didn't sign it and Blueblood’s family won't help, I guess there's no way to remove it."
After a 15 minutes of silence, a guard opened the door to the throne room and said, "I'm sorry for interrupting, your majesty, but Rainbow Dash found something outside of Ponyville and asked for you to see it."
They all looked at each other and Celestia said, "Get the Captain of the guard and ready the carriages," after getting the order, the guard left. Celestia then turned to Twilight. "I'll be sending a letter to Spike and Matthew to have them ready when we arrive," Twilight nodded as they head to a balcony where two carriages with two Pegasi attached to the front and 4 more flanking the sides. As they took off, Twilight decided to take a quick nap before they arrived. 30 minutes later they arrived in Ponyville with Spike and Matthew at the entrance of the library.
Shining Armor was getting a platoon of royal guards to go with the princess. 15 minutes after they landed at the library, they headed toward the place where Rainbow Dash said something about an unknown winged object. When they got to the site and what they saw was breathtaking. In a small crater was a slim metallic body with two large wings in the front and two smaller wings in the back. They watched as Rainbow Dash came from the side of the massive object.
"Hey guys and hello princess," Rainbow Dash said.
"Rainbow, what is that ugly thing?" Rarity asked. Rarity thought it was the most atrocious thing she ever laid her eyes on.
"I don't know. I mean after the meeting I decided to head back home until this thing flew past me."
1 Hour earlier
''Can't believe they did that to us because we're trying to remove a dumb law."
Rainbow Dash was frustrated because the politicians rejected Celestia’s motion to remove the law. She decided to head to her home to sleep until she heard a rumbling behind her. Rainbow Dash turned her head and saw the weirdest thing ever. It was black with two wings in the front and back with some sort of propeller on the top. It passed by her and made her spin. She stopped and looked at the flying object.
"Hey, what was that for?" She yelled. Rainbow gave pursuit at the black object. She looked at it and saw that there's no pony in it. "What the… who’s controlling it?" She said to herself. Eventually she was able to crash it near Ponyville. After getting back up and dusting herself off, she went to see who it belongs to. For 10 minutes of looking, Rainbow Dash saw four letters written in equestrian, 'U.N.S.C'. She decided to get the princess to see what this was.
Present time
"So, do you think it belongs to one of them?" Rainbow Dash asked the princess.
"Maybe they just want to see something, if you don't mind princess?" Fluttershy said. They all were thinking, 'what do they want with us’?
Eventually Luna spoke up. "We don't know what they want, but until we find out what this is, no pony will see this except us."
They all agree until Twilight asked, "Where is this going to go?"
"How about my barn. It could hide this from the others and big enough to observe it," Applejack said.
They all agreed to it and lift it up to move it. 15 minutes later they were struggling to keep it off the ground. 4 royal guards, including Shining Armor, along with the mane 6 and the princesses helped. Some were cursing and panting as they got to the farm. Applejack went inside and got her older sister, Big Macareina to help and they moved the barn and made sure to have Twilight check once and a while. After this, they all took a break and talked to each other. They all were relaxing as Matthew got snacks for them.
They talked until Luna asked Twilight, "Excuse me for asking, but do you still get those dreams again?" Everypony looked at her.
Twilight blushed and said, "Well, I had one dream where I saw Big Macareina was kissing-" she stopped suddenly.
"Who did she kiss, Twilight?" Rarity asked.
"Come on, tell us," Rainbow said.
After six minutes, she told them. "The person she was kissing was the other Matthew," after she finished, Macareina blushed heavily.
"WHAT?!" Her friends and sister yelled. She explained that they were dating for some time, but before the dream ended, she saw them kiss.
They all tried and failed to not blush at the thought of Macareina and the 'Spartan Matthew' kissing. They Pinkie Promise to not say any of this. As they all left the farm they all bid farewell and left home while the princesses and Shining Armor went back to Canterlot.
As Applejack and Big Macareina walked home, Applejack asked her older sister, “Do you like him Macareina?" Macarena only nodded, thinking about her and Viper kissing each other. But little do they know, everything they said was recorded into the audio box inside the drone and was heard on the Summer Solstice by the drone controller, who contacted the Captain.

U.N.S.C Spirit of fire cryo bay
"Captain, wake up. Something has happened," Serina, the ship A.I said to Captain Cutter.
"Serina, mind explaining why you pulled us out of cryo sleep?" Cutter asked Serina.
"I'm sorry, Captain, but their’s three U.N.S.C ships that are in the system and one is heading towards our direction. Orders sir?" She asked
Captain Cutter thought about it for a moment and said, "Get all the crew ready for any surprise attack by the Covenant and hail the Captain of the closest ship."
Serina acknowledged and went to work. Captain Cutter was left to his thoughts, thinking if the Covenant found Earth. Or are they holding out. He heard the bridge doors open and saw the ship scientist, Ellen Anders, walk towards him.
Dr. Anders asked Cutter, "Why are we out of cryo sleep?"
"Serina detected three U.N.S.C ships in the system and one heading towards our direction. We're getting everyone ready for any surprise attack by the Covenant. What is red team’s status, Serina?" Cutter answered Ellen and asked Serina.
"Red team is ready and awaiting orders, Captain," Serina responded to Captain Cutter’s question.
"All right then. Tell the comms officer to hail the ship," Cutter said as Serina nodded and left for the communication room.
U.N.S.C Omaha hangar
To others, it would’ve been usual to see an empty hangar, but ever since the Spirit of Fire was found, it was buzzed with activity because; 1) they found the lost colony ship and 2) they found a habitable planet. Before any civilians were sent to the planet, they were sending a recon team with scientists to see if it's safe to move civilians down to the planet. As this was happening, a pelican was getting ready to depart. Viper’s team and alpha squad of Centurion-1, along with Captain Nikolai, were going to the Spirit of Fire to see the status of the ship until the Blitzkrieg and Summer Solstice come back from planet searching. Delta Decided to help the scientists move heavy equipment, until he heard a comment from a group of O.D.S.T, "Can't you believe that those stupid Spartan-3s are going to the Spirit of Fire. They're nothing but cheap versions of the Spartan 2. We should be the ones going to the ship."
Delta walked to the small group of O.D.S.T and said, "Even if they’re three's, they’re still a Spartan and Spartans always care for their own cause we're family and all we got is each other in this war. So if I hear you disrespect them again, I will not hesitate to put you in an airlock. You hear me?"
All the O.D.S.T nodded quickly and ran from the Spartan 2. After the incident, Delta resumed helping moving equipment to special pelicans that is used to carry supplies and equipment to a base. Ten minutes later the pelican carrying the Captain and his escort flew to the Spirit of Fire.
"So, do you think red team will be there?" Callie asked.
"Don't know. For all we know they might be in cryo freeze or something like that," Brandon said.
"Well, if the crew is alive, then we get an extra ship in our group," Marcus said.
"And if they're dead?" Luke asked.
"I don't know, that's up to the Captain to decide." Viper said.
After the conversation, they all waited to dock the ship, some cleaning their weapons, some thinking about the new planet they discovered and the rest stayed silent. As they felt the ship land they all got into a rectangle formation to surround the Captain if things escalated quickly. As the ramp lowered to the ground, they all saw armor, vehicles, and supplies untouched by time. They saw marines wearing armor before it was switched with the new and improved armor. Grizzly tanks and mobile AA railgun systems were also seen. They saw the original red team, Captain Cutter and Ellen Anders.
"Welcome aboard the Spirit of Fire and who do I have the pleasure of speaking to?" Captain Cutter asked.
"I am Captain Nikolai Chernov of the U.N.S.C Omaha, and I am honored to meet you Captain," Nikolai said.
"How about we have this meeting in a more private location, shall we?" Anders asked.
The two Captains agree and they, along with their escort, went to the bridge. They started talking about when they disappeared. Apparently the Spartan 3 program started a month after they were declared lost with all hands. The three Spartans gave pity to the S-3 for being used as cannon fodder. And two other projects called Centurion and Hoplite were created by using regular soldiers and giving them suits that enhanced the person’s strength without augmentation, while Hoplite needed augmentation to move the 1 ton of armor and ammunition. This got red team respect because someone had a lot of courage to use the armor. Bad part is only 50 centurion were created and 2,000 Hoplite were made before Reach was attacked.
After giving them a brief description about what happened, Nikolai was allowed to digest the information. After a while, Cutter said they are willing to have some civilians onboard to help relieve stress of supplies. After this, Captain Nikolai got a message from the Summer Solstice to head to the location that they received. After 25 minutes of getting to the location, Captain Cutter saw another Phoenix class colony ship. But something was wrong. The three ships were giving the same amount of energy as a CCS-Battle cruisers. The Omaha's Captain told him that they were given covenant slip space drives and shielding to have a chance against the Covenant. They all were talking via video screen.
"All right gentlemen, since the Spirit of Fire was found we have more space for others civilians, but now we have a bigger problem," Captain Jackson said bringing up a planet similar to theirs.
"This planet looks like Earth," Viper said.
Anya spoke up, "It's like Earth, but the inhabitants are not what you think."
Anya showed them a video of the drone getting chased by a blue blur after it crashed. It was able to get a clear shot of the creature. What they saw was a mythical creature.
"Is that an anthro pegasus?" Anders asked
"It is and its get weirder after this," Jackson said
As they continue to watch the recording, they saw a group of more ponies. Some ranging of regular ponies to 7-foot tall ponies with both horns and wings. They saw their military and they could not help but laugh.
"Are those ponies using spears and Roman armor!?” Callie asked as she laughed.
"I Believe so. By their technology they are in the bronze age," Serina said.
"But we have bigger problems than that," Nicholas said.
At that point, they all became deathly quiet and thought 'what are more problems than that’?
"Apparently while our drone was flying over cities, they saw a slave ship filled with our kind."
Everyone was now quiet. Some too shocked about what they heard while others were angry and mortified about that. But viper was thinking 'am I a slave’?
"Apparently one of our Spartans is a slave," Anya said.
All the Spartans were looking at each other until Viper spoke up.
"I am that slave, sir."
"What?!" His team shouted.
"Well, I don't know. I didn't know my true home, so it might be possible," He said.
"Regardless if you are or not, I'm not allowing any civilians down there until we find a suitable area for a settlement," Nikolai said.
After an hour of arguing, they agreed to have a firebase to observe and attack slavers if possible. Everyone agreed and started to get ready to touch down on the planet’s surface. They started to get hoplite units ready for deployment. As they were loading up, they saw Delta grabbing a piece of scrap metal and started singing before jumping to the planet below. They just shook their heads and entered the pelican. As the pelicans and mobile base were flown to the ground, they all saw a thunderstorm happening. After passing through it, they landed in a clearing of a creepy forest. They started to unload and Viper’s team left to scout out the area.
"Okay, this isn't creepy at all," Brandon said sarcastically.
Callie said, "Shut it, Brandon. We're already in slavery territory, but it doesn't mean that you have to make snarky comments." Brandon shut his mouth and they found a castle in the forest.
"Alright, I'm going inside. The rest of you head back to base. I’ll catch up," Viper said.
The team was hesitating not to leave, but they have to follow orders. As they went back to base, Viper went inside the old abandoned castle. As he went deeper into it, he couldn't stop thinking about having a pair of eyes staring at him. He enters what looks like a throne room. As he heads to the single standing throne, he felt something hit the ground behind him. His reflexes kicked in and he grabbed his smg, only for it to be removed from his hands. He turned around and saw, in his opinion, a drop dead gorgeous mare with cat slit eyes and a flowing mane with stars in it.
"What do we have here?" The mysterious mare asked
"Who are you?" Viper asked her.
"Well, for starters, I'm Nightmare Moon, The Mistress of Night," Nightmare Moon said.
"Who?" Viper asked, confused.
"How do you not know me? I tried to declare eternal night on Equis long ago," she said.
"Look lady, I don't know who you are or what you did, but I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Viper and I am with the U.N.S.C. If you want, you could come with me to talk to the Captain of our ship, Captain Jackson," Viper said.
Nightmare Moon was thinking about it until she agreed and went to him, but during the walk, she thought about him. ‘Why is he on my mind, I should be thinking on what to do next, but he is a handsome stallion. I wonder if he would go out with me’. As that thought passed, she followed him to the base.

August 26th, 2552 (day after drone crash)
It has been almost a day since the unknown vehicle crashed outside of Ponyville. Princess Celestia tasked Twilight and Matthew to learn more about it. They found out it uses some type of generator that uses sunlight to power it up. The front has a 'camera' as Twilight said and recorded what it saw and reported it back to wherever it came from. As they started to get more info, Twilight saw something she loves, history. She was able to remove the camera from the thing. There were some history shows on it. She decided to get her friends and the princesses to watch. As they came to her home around sun down, she started the show. They all were fascinated at how they started. They started as hunter-gatherers to big and powerful nations. They talked to each other on how they were able to accomplish such feats.
"Did you see how they created so much fashion and clothing?" Rarity asked, mesmerized on how they changed fashion so quickly.
"How about they tame animals?" Fluttershy said, thinking on how they tamed the most dangerous critters in the wild.
After some talking, Shining Armor joined them and asked to see their military. So Twilight put on a documentary called 'WW2: from space'. As it started, they saw how the planet was thrown into a global war by three power hungry countries. As they continue to watch they saw the U.S. rise to being the most powerful nation on Earth. They saw that they created weapons, like tanks, cars and Rainbow Dash’s favorite, airplanes. They saw how they fought and how many people died trying to end the war. As the episode was drawing to a close, they saw how dangerous their weaponry was. The U.S. made a weapon called an 'atomic bomb' which was dropped to end the war, but came at a terrible price.
Over 78 million people’s lives were lost and about 66% was civilian casualties. They watched all the other war documentaries, one called 'the civil war ' in which was about slavery. It lasted four years and the United States won over the Confederacy. They saw some more, including about them landing on their moon. As they watched, they learned how they created large space ships and new technology. Then came the ftl drive, which allows them to enter slip space, creating the EUG and UNSC. They stopped showing more after they decided to bring this to Parliament to help push the law to be removed. But they don't know about what happened in the last 27 years for humanity.
August 27th, 2552
Parliament building, Canterlot
The politicians were less than happy to be called early in the morning. As they filled the seats that surrounds a stage one of them said, "Princess Celestia, why did you have to get us up so early?" One of the politicians asked.
"Two days ago, Rainbow Dash found something that isn't made by Equestrians or any other civilizations of Equis," as Celestia announced this, all the politicians were whispering to each other, as they continued for 10 minutes.
Celestia spoke, "As we looked into it, we discovered it was made by a space-faring civilization called the United Nations Space Command or the U.N.S.C," this caught their attention. A space-faring civilization; who would think of that?
"The people of the civilization are humans," after Celestia said that, all of the members of Parliament started yelling at Celestia. She knew they won't believe her until she had actual proof. Her sister silenced them by using the Royal Canterlot Voice.
After that, Celestia showed them how they worked to become big, powerful nations. But history has a funny way of showing it. They found out that they used slavery since the Egyptian, Roman, and Greek civilizations were made, but it had a price. The slaves would revolt and it ultimately led to big empires to being destroyed. It showed how they fought, different strategies used, weapons and armor. Eventually they started to expand to space and colonizing different worlds until it stopped at February 2525.
They were all wondering what happened, so Twilight and Matthew went to working on it until Matthew saw a small reflecting glass looking right at him. He looked at it and a small, long light running horizontally scanned his eyes causing him to freak out. A monotonous voice started talking and it was heard by everypony.
"Commander Viper. Born on Jericho 5. Parents: unknown. Birthday: unknown. Gender: male. Weight: 103kg. Height: 220cm. Welcome, Viper."
As it was over, a small disc popped out of a slot, in which Twilight grabbed and put it into the camera feed. It started to play and what they saw next was disturbing. It showed humanity was fighting against a technologically superior race called the Covenant. They saw how much humanity has lost to their genocidal campaign. Over 15 trillion lives lost and 85% of human controlled planets were glassed, which was a strategy used by the Covenant by flying into the atmosphere and firing energy Projectors, which leaves a plant uninhabitable. After that it showed static. The parliament was shocked to see that and was thinking that if the Covenant finds them, what would happen?
"What was that?!" Screams a member of the Parliament.
"I don't know. This has never shown up before," Twilight said.
"Well whatever it is, I believe that it's wise to not contact the UNSC or Covenant, but the law still stands."
"What?!" Screamed Celestia and Luna.
"I'm sorry, but since you aren't a queen or have the other royal family signing to repeal the law, it will still be continued. Meeting is adjourned," as the last sentence was spoken, all the politicians started to exit the building, leaving a distraught Celestia to think about what they had shown to them and they still did not waver to this. She knows what happens from today on will not be her problem.

Nightmare Moon P.O.V
It's been three days since 'Viper' brought me to their base. I was greeted with hostility until Viper told them to stand down, which they obeyed his orders. We walked into the base and went to the command center. As we walked there, I can't help but to look at him from time to time, thinking how a handsome man can be a soldier. I kept to myself for fearing if I talked, I would get thrown out or worse, killed.
Viper turned around and said, "Right now what I am doing is breaking a lot of protocols. I am going to ask the Captain of the Summer Solstice to see if you could live here. Don't say anything that could get you or us into trouble, okay?" I just nodded and after 10 seconds, we entered the control room and I sat in a chair near Viper. After 15 minutes of arguing and some profanity tossed at each other, I was allowed to stay under one condition, if Viper acted as a liaison for me, in which he agreed.
When the meeting was over, he decided to sleep first which I agreed to. Since I didn't have a bed, Viper and I went to an empty room with two beds. After taking his armor off, he turned off the lights and we went to sleep. The next morning, Viper took me to see his team. As we headed to the sleeping quarters, I saw some colts and fillies playing a game of tag, unfortunately some of their parents saw me look at them and glared at me. I looked away from the foals as we neared the intended destination. As we neared the room Viper and his team was assigned, I looked around and saw different decorations in each room. Some with flowers or pictures made by the foals or with different cultures.
I was fascinated by how much culture they had. When he pulled out a piece of plastic and put it through a block with a slit in it, the doors opened and I saw more armored figures. 9 of them were wearing different types of armor and colors, while 8 had the same armor. Viper introduced me to the group. The 8 armored soldiers are called 'Centurion' as they are regular soldiers given some augmentation, which Brandon told me is a way to enhance a person’s strength and speed, and had armor that increase their speed. The rest were called 'Spartans', men and women who volunteered to have a stronger augmentation to increase their bones, strength, and speed, which were given shielded armor and armor abilities. I thought they were going to resent me for being different until Callie, a female Spartan, reached for my hand to shake, which I shook.
After the whole greeting, I made friends with them. After a couple of minutes, they decided to head to the mess hall, I believe that’s what they called it. Before we left, Samantha grabbed my shoulder and said she wanted to talk to me alone. After going back to the room she turned around and said, "Look, I don't know how you got Viper to trust you so easily, it’s taken a lot of people a long time to earn his trust, including his own team, but get one thing straight. You hurt him in any way and I will kill you. Got that?” Normally I would brush that off like nothing, but for some reason, she is being serious, so I nodded and after that, Samantha escorted me to the mess hall where there was a pleasant smell of food in the air.
I heard my name being called and I looked for the source until I saw Viper's eyes looking at me, making my heart flutter and blood to rush to my cheeks. As we sat down with the group, I saw what they were eating. It was some tiny white things called rice, by Brandon, covered in vegetables, chicken, and some black liquid on the white stuff. Apparently it's called teriyaki chicken, as Marcus said. They got me a plate without the chicken. I took a bite to taste it, it was really. I cleaned my plate in two minutes. I was being looked at by everypony at the table, making me blush very hard. Viper grabbed a napkin and wiped my face, cleaning the sauce on my face. Afterwards I rewarded him by giving him a kiss on his cheek. He blushed really hard and walked out the mess hall.
His team and the others looked at me with unreadable expressions. Apparently this is the first time he got a kiss from another mare. Marcus told me that he never dated anyone before so this was his first time getting a kiss. After 15 minutes everyone left, except for Samantha. She asked me to follow her. I listened and followed her outside of the base and saw Celestia’s sun heading down and Luna’s moon coming up. I saw Viper sitting on the top of the base. I flew up there using my wings. As I landed I sat by him, letting my hind legs hang off the edge. We both sat in silence until I broke it.
"Look, I’m sorry for what hap..." he didn't let me finish talking.
"I know that you're going to say, ‘I should haven't done that', but don't say anything negative about yourself, okay." Viper said.
I was shocked at him for saying that. Normally, stallions would take the opportunity to bed a princess or a noble, but he's different from the rest. Forgetting that he talked to me I nodded. After that he started smiling.
"You know you look cute when you blushed in the mess hall earlier," he teased, making me blush again.
"Also, I know you have a crush on me and don't ask how I know. I just do," this made me blush harder.
"I know that you want to get intimate with me, but maybe we should start slow and don't rush, all right?" He was asking me to be his mare friend. It felt like butterflies were in my stomach. It felt weird, but it felt right, so I accepted and he smiled.
We watched as the sun was setting. I put my head on his shoulder and for the first time in a thousand years, I finally got what I’ve been wanting to have. To be loved by somepony who appreciated me and not shunned me for doing something terrible all those years ago. I eventually went to sleep on his shoulder and woke up in his bed in the afternoon. He left a note saying he had a meeting and won't come back till 10 at night. So I decided to sleep on his bed, waiting for him to come back to me.
Meanwhile
"Okay everyone, in about 10 minutes we're going to board the train, rescue any slaves and kill all slavers, everyone get me?" asked Viper
Everyone nodded or said yes.
"Alright, okay everyone, let's get ready to board the train, Viper out" and with that, they cut off any radio contact.
Raid and First Kills
August 28, 2552 (12 hours since meeting and after Swarm of the Century)
Train station on route to Canterlot
Twilight, Matthew, Spike, and the rest of Twilight’s friends and their families were going to Canterlot to stay at the castle because of parasprites, small winged bugs, nearly destroyed Ponyville. As they were getting their luggage ready, carried by Spike and Matthew, they paid for the tickets and went on the train. They were greeted by Celestia, Luna, and Shining Armor. As they went to their seats, they saw slavers, some ponies and griffons, sitting near the doors that had access to the holding car with slaves in it.
Twilight grabbed Matthew and pulled him closer to her to show that she bought him. Twilight hates the idea of making him look like a slave, but has to in order to not get arrested for not treating him like one. As they entered their private booth, she let him go.
"Sorry for doing that, Matthew," Twilight said.
"It's okay, it’s just weird when you do that," Matthew told Twilight.
As they train started moving, they were all having small conversations with each other, unaware of what's going to happen next.
At the same time aboard a pelican
Viper, Samantha, and their team were getting ready to raid a train with slaves at the back car. Before they could do that, they have to take control of the train. Callie and Tanya are going to hijack the train and turn the power to the train off and the snipers are to kill the slavers, starting from the back to the front. After that, the rest of the soldiers will board the train and rescue any slaves onboard.
"Okay, Callie, Tanya, are you in the front part of the train?" Viper asked.
"Yep and the train should be off right about now," as Tanya said that, the train started to slow down to a halt.
"All right, Sharath, get ready to fire in 2 mikes, Viper out," as they started to get into position, the ponies on the train started to wonder what happened.
Inside the train
The mane six and their families and princesses felt the train stop moving. Thinking that the conductor was fixing something, they all went back to what they were doing.
Outside the train
“Be ready to fire in three, two, one," as the last number was said, both snipers started to fire at the slavers, removing heads, limbs, or putting holes inside their bodies.
The ponies on the train started to scream when a griffon lost his head and two ponies had holes where their hearts were. As this was happening, the rest of the teams entered the train and started to open cages filled with slaves. It disgusted them about why would they do something like this. After 10 minutes has passed, the team rescued at least 90 slaves. As they called for pick up, Sharath saw a group of slavers leaving the front car and trying to get the drop on them. So she started to shoot them, one by one. The civilians inside were terrified since this is the first time they saw blood, let alone a death. When the pelicans came, the team retreated back to them, returning to base.
15 minutes after the raid
The princesses ordered all trains scheduled to be postponed to investigate the first ever death in Equestria ever since 1000 years ago. As they looked at the bodies, some have to excuse themselves from the bloody scene. They all have the same thing. An object coming at super high speed hitting them and killing them. As they were trying to guess who did it, Twilight spoke up.
"I might know who did this," everyone looked at her with observing eyes.
Until Celestia asked, "Who?"
"The same one from my dreams," this made them gasp. The UNSC were risking a raid on a train with royalty to get the slaves. Twilight told them how she know that they will never engage in up close combat and they have weapons beyond their technology. As they head to Canterlot, some were thinking what if this happens again.
At the base
Viper and his team came back to the base with the slaves, they were greeted by medical professionals and nutritionists to help the slaves out. The team decided to get something to eat. As they head to the mess hall, Viper said he was going to check on Nightmare Moon. As he left, the 17 soldiers started talking about them.
"I still can't believe that Viper, our leader, who doesn't have any free time, is now dating her," Blake said.
"I know, he usually thinks about the next mission, but now, he’s kind of relaxing from that. Hey Samantha, what’s your opinion about those two?" Luke asked Samantha.
"I don't really care what they do. Behind closed doors is their business, not mine. Come on, let's go get something to eat now," Samantha said.
"Hold on. How about giving them a dinner just for the two of them, you know, help him get closer to her?" Callie told the two teams.
As she finished her sentence, they all agreed and left for the Mess Hall. As Viper walked to their room, he couldn't help but think about her. 'Man it has been less than 12 hours and I'm thinking about her, well we are dating, so it might be normal to do this.' As Viper opened the door to the room where the two teams are living in, he saw Nightmare Moon sleeping on his bed, holding a pillow like a teddy bear. 'Damn, that's so cute, but she needs to eat.' Viper thought as he walked up to her and shook her slightly.
"Hey, Nightmare, get up so you can eat," Viper said in to her.
“ZZzzzZz *snort* Hmmm? Wha—?” As Nightmare Moon woke up from her nap, she looked to see Viper with his helmet off.
"Come on, let's go to the Mess Hall to get something to eat," As Viper said that, Nightmare Moon stood up and they walked to the Cafeteria, unaware of what his team is planning for them.
A Date and First Kiss
August 28, 2552 (after the first raid)
When Viper and Nightmare Moon entered the mess hall to get a bite to eat, only to see a table in the middle of the room with Viper’s team wearing waiter and waitress outfits, holding platters filled with food and Callie was holding a bottle of wine. They were confused about what they were looking at, but ignored it. As they sat down, Brandon and Blake gave them salad, made with lettuce, tomatoes, carrots and broccoli. As they ate their salads, Nightmare Moon grabbed a piece of broccoli and tossed it at Blake from behind, freaking him out. This made the team laugh and Nightmare to giggle. As they finished their salads, Marcus and Luke took the plates and put a plate of spaghetti with parmesan cheese on top.
Apparently there was only one plate, so they had to share the plate, but they didn't mind. As they ate the spaghetti, they didn't see that they were eating the same spaghetti noodle, until they looked at each other in the eyes and saw that their lips almost touched. As they broke the pasta in half, they blushed really hard, unaware that the team was snickering at the scene in front of them. As the two finished the spaghetti, Jaeden grabbed the plate and put a small chocolate lava cake for them as dessert. This got Viper to ask them, "Where did you get this? Last time I checked, there wasn't any chocolate on the ships."
Marcus just answered, "Oh, we have our ways," while everyone else grinned.
Meanwhile at Canterlot Castle
Princess Celestia was walking to the kitchen to get a midnight snack. It's been almost 4 hours since the shooting and had to explain to the Griffin king why some of his men were dead. After that she had to read more reports. When it hit 12 a.m., she entered the kitchen to get a small cake that she had been saving for two months now. As she opened the small cabinet to her cake, she saw that her cake was missing and boy was she pissed.
"Who took my cake?!" She yelled as she looked for the pony who ate it.
At the base
Viper and Nightmare Moon were eating the cake until there was two bites left. Viper decided to let Nightmare have it, but she insisted on him having it until he grabbed the two pieces and asked her to close her eyes. When she did he told her, politely, to open her mouth. As she did, he put the two pieces of lava cake in her mouth, in which she ate in a couple bites. As the last dish was removed, the team started to depart and Callie left two wine glasses and the bottle of wine. As the couple started to drink the first glass, the team was watching through a camera, betting on who will make the first move.
"25 credits on Viper," Callie, Luke, Jaeden, Blake and Brandon said.
"25 credits on Nightmare Moon," said the rest of the team.
As they continue to finish off the bottle, they started to become tipsy and started to feel the effect of the alcohol. After 35 minutes, they both finished the wine and proceeded to go to the room, stumbling once and a while. As Viper tried, and failed many times, to swipe the key card to the scanner, he opened it on the 37th try. They both started to strip off clothes and armor, leaving them in their underwear, and bra for Nightmare Moon. As they laid in bed, Viper turned to Nightmare Moon and said "I love you, Nightmare Moon."
"And I love you too, Viper," after finishing the sentence, they both proceeded to kiss each other for a while. As this was happening, the team was dumbfounded that neither won the bet."
"God Damn it," Blake yelled, losing the chance to earn more credits. After they stopped kissing, they both embraced each other and went to sleep
A Rescue and a Massacre
September 23, 2552
It's been a month since the UNSC landed in the Everfree forest. They made at least 40+ raids against slavers, each one getting harder and harder. Since they don't want to risk flying in too many pelicans in and out of raids, they decided to get help from another group, the diamond dogs. When they met them, they made a deal with them, help them make tunnels to help escape slaves and they get to keep any loot from the slavers after the raid. The diamond dogs agreed to it since slavers made a lot of money.
As the slaves piled into the base, the population went from 600 to 2500. As the four Captains were trying to find a new base, something happened. During a raid, a marine was captured by a noble and was being held as a slave. The person’s location was in Manehatten, near a major docking station that brings in slaves. Viper suggests a rescue and a raid so that it would deal a massive blow to the slave market. As the mission was given the green light, Viper, his teammates, along with Samantha and Delta went to the location.
"Okay everyone listen up. Now we're going to make a strike against a docking station that brings in slaves. Our objective is to destroy it so no more slaves can be sold. Meanwhile Samantha and I will go and rescue the marine, do you understand?" Viper said.
"Sir yes, sir," his team, Samantha and Delta yelled.
As the pelican landed, Samantha and Viper went to the building where the captured marine is. While the rest went to sabotage the docks, but Delta had another idea. As he left for the slavers’ housing market, the rest of the team went to the docks.
Samantha and Viper
They head towards the noble’s house where the marine was being held at. As they approach the property, they saw it was crawling with guards that has no royal guard emblem, signifying that they are hired guards. As they snuck into the building, they noticed that the place was too big for a noble, unlike the others at Canterlot. They head for the basement to find him, but what they saw sickens them. They saw teen males, around the age of 15 to 18, in cells and some of them looked like they were raped, that when they found out, this place was a filled with male slaves to have sex with.
As they started to open the cells and cut the rope off their hands, they saw the marine in a cell by himself. His condition was worse, he had a broken arm, a gash on his forehead and was pale. As Viper continued to free the slaves, Samantha went to the marine’s cell and opened it. When he saw her, he freaked out and cowered in a corner.
"Hey, it’s okay. You're safe now, you don't have to worry about anything," Samantha said in a motherly voice. As she patched him up, she noticed that there was some sticky stuff on him. She realized that someone had sex with him not long ago. After the slaves were free and went to a tunnel under the house, Viper radioed his team about what happened. This didn't sit well with them, especially Delta. He was near the slaver's quarters, so he decided to pay them a visit.
Delta
As Delta neared the door, he pulled out the tenderizer and started humming an old song. When he kicked the door open, he started to swing the hammer to the beat of the song. As the slavers try to hold him down, they are flung around the room at high speed and die when they hit the wall. The unfortunate ones have their head explode when Delta swung the blade part to their skulls or the bodies. In short, it was the bloody version of Piñata. Instead of candy coming out, it was blood and organs coming out.
When more slavers came from different camps outside the city, Delta got into the groove of the song and used his hammer as a bloody dancing cane. Every step he took, he would swing his hammer left to right or tap it onto the ground, killing any unfortunate soul’s skull that's under the hammer. In other words, it was a musical that was born in Hell. After the rest of the slavers ran away, Delta got a message that said head to these coordinates, so he ran to the location, oblivious to the massive army that entered the city.
Marcus and the team
As they neared the harbor, the 9 Spartans saw that a slave ship started to unload the slaves. The team moved behind a bunch of stacked crates. They were trying to think of a way to get inside the harbor without getting spotted.
"Okay, now we need to get inside the harbor and blow it to hell, any suggestions?" Blake asked. Everyone said no except for Callie.
"I know. How about using the crates to get inside!" She said. They all looked at her like she was insane. The team knows that if the crates were moved, they would been spotted.
"That is the most stupid idea ever," Brandon told her.
Ten minutes later
"I can't believe this is working," Brandon grumbled. The team was able to sneak into the harbor without getting spotted and the crew never checked the crates, ever. As they made their way to the building in the middle of the harbor, Callie was arming explosives to destroy the building and the harbor with it. When they got to the building, they ditched the crates and watched the door as Callie planted the explosives. When they were done they ran like bats out of Hell and got to a safe distance. As they did, Callie pulled the detonator, 5 seconds later, the harbor was covered in an orange and red color that soon turned into a raging inferno. After their mission was complete, the soldiers ran to the coordinates given by Viper.
Noble's house
As the team regrouped, Viper told them what he and Samantha saw. Some of the team excused themselves to puke what they had for breakfast. As Viper stopped talking, they heard loud footsteps outside. As they looked through the window, their jaws dropped. It was an army of slavers, griffons, and the solar and lunar guards, armed with muskets, ready to fight

The team was now looking at an army armed with civil war muskets, and had magic. While they had advanced armor and weapons, they don't have the numbers or ammo to fight them all. As they were thinking of a way to escape, the tunnel entrance started to move, causing the team to aim their weapons at the tunnel; until Douglas-042, Jerome-092, and Alice-130, along with two Hoplite soldiers came through the tunnel. The team relaxed at their arrival.
"You guys are a sight for sore eyes," Viper told them.
"So, what’s the situation, Commander?" Alice asked Viper.
"Well, there is an army of 6,000 which has the royal guard, slavers, and griffon honor guards. So they outnumber us about 400 to 1. So any ideas?" The small rag tag team started to think until Delta had one.
Delta started to talk. "Okay here’s the plan..."
Above Manehattan, Celestia’s carriage
Celestia was in a meeting with some nobles complaining about the lack of slaves when a royal courier came in and handed her a letter saying about twelve armored figures attacking the harbor and a noble’s house. She got her sister, Twilight and her friends, and Captain Shining Armor to head to Manehattan to see what happened.
As they landed, they saw a street covered in blood, gore and limbs, and the occasional rolling head. As they tried to remove the traumatizing scene from their heads, they saw an army mixed with griffons, slavers, and the royal guard.
"Lieutenant, what happened here?" Shining Armor asked the lieutenant. What he wasn't expecting was the lieutenant is Flash Sentry, a guard that got transferred to Manehattan.
"Well, Captain, we got a group of unknown armored figures inside the building. They’ve killed over 1,000 slavers and destroyed the harbor, so whatever they have is extremely powerful," when Flash finished, they all had a look that showed what they knew was happening.
"Lieutenant, I want you to break the door down in five minutes and stun them. Am I clear?" Shining Armor asked Flash. He nodded and got a group ready to breach the house but what happened next was unexpected.
Inside noble’s house
The team rigged the whole building with traps to slow them down if pushed back to the living room that is in the middle of the house. They all checked their ammo and grenades and saw they had enough to last for a good hour. Then they heard something smashing against the main door, signaling that the army outside is trying to get through. As red team got into position, the Hoplites went to the top floor and aimed their weapons at the door, along with the 12 other soldiers.
Outside
The group with the battering ram started to hit the door about ten minutes ago. As the door gave way to the ram, the team was immediately turned into Swiss cheese as the two mysterious shooters opened fire. Shining Armor and the Princesses, along with the mane six, saw first-hand at how powerful their weapons were. Then Shining Armor yelled "fire!" and the whole front part of the house was riddled with holes. After 10 minutes of firing, Shining yelled, telling them to stop.
As the army went back into formation, they heard two heavy thuds coming from inside. When they got a glimpse of where the noise originated, they were terrified. Two large armored humans came out, both using a long barreled weapon and a short stubby weapon of some kind. The army wasted no time and fired at them, but what happened next surprised them.
Instead of the magic infused ball rounds going through the armored humans, they were stopped short by some sort of magical shielding. As the second volley of rounds were fired, the first layer of shielding broke and another shield absorbed the rounds. As they started to reload, they raised their left arm and fired a bigger, shorter round and when it hit the ground, they exploded and anypony in its path had blown limbs or mangled bodies at the places they once were standing. The Hoplites ran slowly inside the house.
"Stop them now!!" Shining Armor yelled, angry because two humans embarrassed the royal guard in front of the princesses.
The army, now missing a thousand men, ran inside the house, only to be greeted by three smaller figures. The one in the middle was carrying a weapon that went 'cha-chink' and a small red thing fell out and the other two similar figures grabbed identical guns. The royal guard decided to evacuate the ponies near the property, while the rest ran towards them, bayonets facing downward.
"Let’s go," Fred said as he fired a shot into a griffon, killing him instantly. Alice and Jerome jumped onto two slavers and filled them with 5mms rounds. One of the slavers attempted to stab Alice, only for her to grab it and punch the slavers head, killing him when his neck snapped. After 30 minutes of fighting, they killed the last of the group of soldiers.
"Red team, get back to the tunnel we're going to blow it up!" Viper yelled as they heard gunfire on the com. They wasted no time getting back to the tunnel.
Tunnel entrance
Viper and his team were facing the rest of the makeshift army. Since the rest of the army followed them, but since they hit some traps along the way, it was reduced to 3,500. Still big enough to be a threat to the team. The snipers took position and fired shot after shot at the army. But it seems without end as for every slaver killed, three more takes their place. When Red team showed up, the army was getting thinner and thinner as they started to fire at them. The Hoplites were firing their 50. Caliber guns and grenade launchers to help out.
As two hours passed, all of them were down to two magazines and four fragmentation grenades, while the Hoplite had three belts of 50. Caliber rounds and 12 m203 grenade rounds. As they feared the worst, the entrance opened and more Hoplites showed up and opened fire at the slavers, allowing the 17 soldiers to enter the tunnel. As the door closed, the other side exploded, caving that side and killing any slavers left.
"Jesus Christ, let's not do that again," Luke said. All of them agreed.
As the group returned to the base, they saw a group of soldiers surrounding Nightmare Moon and another pony. As Viper got closer, he swore he had a nosebleed. Standing in front of him was a pony that was his height, 7'2", she had a strawberry mane, breasts that were huge, he was thinking double M, a huge ass and a supermodel body.
"Nightmare, who is she?" Viper asked his girlfriend
"Oh, she's Molestia, my older sister," Nightmare Moon told Viper.

It's been couple of hours since the UNSC attacked and parliament wasn't happy about Celestia’s plan of action. Instead of declaring war on the UNSC, Celestia told them that they didn't injure any royal guards, since they were focused on the slavers and they didn't wipe out Manehattan with their weapons. Parliament knew this was true, so they told Celestia if any civilians are killed, there will be war. After the meeting, Celestia went to see Twilight and Matthew, who were working on the drone. She brought Luna and Shining Armor to see her. She was thinking what Twilight was doing.
'Probably trying to work on the drone, no doubt' Celestia thought.
Sweet Apple acres, Ponyville
Twilight, Matthew, and the rest of the mane six were working on the drone when a bright flash was seen inside the barn. After the flash stopped, they all bowed to the princesses. After the greetings, Celestia asked how Twilight’s progress was going.
"Oh, it's going great Celestia, just the hard part is accessing any data on the drone," Twilight told her teacher. She’d been working non-stop trying to open the data port. Pinkie pie started talking.
"OhhiPrincessCelestiaandLunaandShinigArmor.Howareyoudiong?I’mdoingwellandcan'waittothrowapartyformmmphmmhp," Pinkie said as fast as anypony could ever do until Rarity put a hand in her mouth, but she still kept talking.
"Sorry about that princess; she just had coffee earlier," Rarity said nervously. Both Celestia and Luna shook their heads.
"Wait a minute Twilight, what if Matthew was able to use that do-hickey and access it, maybe he could do it again," Applejack said.
"That could work," Twilight said as she turned to Matthew. "Matthew, I want you to find out how you did that, okay?" Twilight asked Matthew. Matthew nodded and looked for the retina scanner.
Base, Everfree forest, Equestria
"Hold up, she's your sister, Nightmare?" Viper asked after a full minute of silence.
"Yes, Viper, she is my older sister and like me, she's Celestia’s other half," Nightmare moon said to her boyfriend.
"What do you mean 'other half'?" Alice and Viper asked at the same time.
"Well, I represent Luna’s jealousy and anger, while my sister represents Celestia’s lust," Nightmare Moon said.
"Okay then, since that’s out of the way, where are you sleeping at?" Viper asked Molestia.
"Well, I could sleep with my sister," Molestia said, giggling slightly.
Viper didn't know what she meant until he put two and two together and said, "But that means you'll be sleeping with..." Viper hadn't finished his sentence.
When Molestia started giggling louder and said, "With you too, Viper," after Molestia finished her sentence, Viper passed out from the answer she gave to him.
"Well, who’s going to explain the situation to the Captains?" Marcus asked them.
Sweet Apple Acres, Ponyville
It has been 15 minutes since Matthew looked for the retina scanner. Twilight and Celestia were talking about the Grand Galloping Gala when Matthew said "Found it" after saying that, they all walked to where he was.
They were quiet until Rainbow Dash asked, "So what does this do?"
"I don't know, I just put my eye near it and..." Matthew didn't finish his sentence when the scanner scanned his eyes, freaking everypony, including Big Macareina since she entered the barn. After it was done, Twilight pulled him back from it until a small rectangular disc came out and had a blue core.
Celestia used her magic to pick it up and asked Twilight, "What is this?"
"I don't know. Maybe it's some sort of storage device," Twilight answered Celestia.
"Well, maybe it contains Viper’s life or something like that," Applejack said excitedly.
Twilight put the chip into a slot under the camera and it started to play. It showed a two story house and it was huge in width. The group thought they were looking through someone’s eyes since it moved left and right unlike a camera. Next they saw two adult humans wearing fancy clothes and the scene changed to a mirror that showed someone who both Applejack and Big Macarena thought was dead.
"Viper," they both said. They saw Viper wearing a tuxedo and bowtie, which he started to take off, until he heard what sounded like a whistling noise.
"Mom, what’s that noise?" Young Viper asked his mom. Viper’s mom came out of her room and heard it and her eyes went wide. She grabbed Viper’s hand and ran to her room to her husband, when the house exploded. Viper opened his eyes to see small, fast moving purple aircraft that came out of the sky.
Viper said one thing in fear, "Covenant." Kid Viper tried to move but saw his arm stuck under a bed frame. He saw his parents standing up and looked at him. During that, they heard Brutes howling near them.
The two adults who adopted Viper grabbed some debris and put it over Viper to hide him from the Covenant soldiers. After they were done, the parents were killed when the brutes shot spikers at them, killing them instantly. What happened next made all the ponies sick. The brutes started to eat the corpses in front of Viper, something that will scar him for life. After the brutes left the skeletons, Viper saw two marines lifting the debris off of him and grabbed him. They put him on a pelican, where he saw his home, Jericho 5, turned to glass. As the video fast forward, the group was talking about how a species could do that, except for the two Apple members, who was thinking how he got there.
The video showed Viper in a room with a man, known as Colonel Ackerson and a woman, whose name was 'Dr. Elizabeth Catherine Halsey,’ who was talking to Viper about being a Spartan.
"Look son, I know you saw the most traumatizing thing in your life, but we think that you could be a..." the ONI official didn't finish.
When Viper said, "I'll do it."
This confused them until Dr. Halsey asked him "Are you sure about this?"
"I'm sure. I don't care what you do to me, just do it," Viper said to the two people. After a couple of minutes of talking, they gave Viper two choices, either become a Spartan 2 or 3. Viper chose a Spartan 2 since he didn't want to be an 'expendable soldier on the field'.
After the video again fast forward to the next scene, they saw a bunch of human children in a room together. Some at the age of six to the age of ten, the group of 11 found out something, they were using children as augmented super soldiers. This got Celestia’s and Luna’s attention.
"Wait a minute, they are using kids, KIDS, as their super soldiers?!" Rainbow Dash yelled in anger.
"That is the most unethical thing ever!!"Rarity said.
"Well, they have a good reason to, if you don't mind," Fluttershy said in her loudest voice, which was a whisper.
Twilight decided to get some answers from the drone. After a good five minutes, she was able to find a small screen with equestrian words on it. She pressed the letter 'C' and got Covenant as the first. She tapped it and the video switched to a marine helmet and they saw these creatures that looked like they came out of hell. They saw humans fighting them as they were pushed back to a building until the building collapsed and cut the feed.
"Twilight, what was that?" Shining Armor asked his little sister.
"Well, according to this, it says that the UNSC and EUG are in a war against the Covenant," Twilight replied to Shining.
"That is not war, it's more like a genocide, Twilight!" Exclaimed Shining.
"Hold on, let me look for more info," Twilight said. The small group was thinking about what they saw.
Base, Everfree forest 6:00 p.m.
Viper started to wake up from his little sleep. He felt something soft on his back, he didn't know what it was, so he squeezed it and heard someone say, "Wow, you’re groping me without buying me dinner, I'm shocked," said a seductive voice. Viper opened his eyes quickly and saw Molestia under him and his back was on her huge, pillow like breasts. He was blushing madly.
"Why are you in my bed?" Viper asked nervously.
"Well, after you passed out, I told your team that I would watch you until you woke up," Molestia replied.
"Do you know what time it is?" Viper asked again.
"About six p.m, how about getting something to eat?" Molestia replied to Viper questions and asked.
Viper nodded but told her, "You need to wear something. I don't want men staring at your um… assets?" Molestia only smiled as she used her magic to conjure some clothes, which was sweat pants and a tight fitting shirt.
"Well, at least you're wearing something, come on, let's go to the cafeteria," Viper said.
As they both walked to the cafeteria, Viper couldn't help but feel some attraction to her, not because of her body, but her personality and like Nightmare Moon, she's hated for something stupid. As they approach the Cafeteria, he saw a black blur knock him to the ground and saw Nightmare Moon kissing him repeatedly.
"I'm glad you're ok. Sorry for not telling you about this," Nightmare said.
"It's okay, just a minor bruise, no big deal, now if you would excuse, I need something to eat," Viper said as he went into line.
Sweet Apple Acres, Ponyville
As Twilight found the information, she told them how it started. "According to this, the war is called 'the Human-Covenant war and started in the year 2525 when the Covenant leaders declared humanity as an affront to their gods. They declared a 'holy crusade', which then turned into a genocidal campaign," this got them to gasp, a genocidal campaign because of being an affront to their gods. Twilight continued, "The Covenant would attack every colony, turning them to glass, making them uninhabitable and killing many humans on the planet. They lost over 80% of their colonies and about 15 Trillion lives lost," after that sentence, most of them were mortified about that.
"Twilight, I think that is enough," Celestia told her.
She decided to put on one more video about Viper. When it started playing, they saw an older Viper in a room that was empty, except for a table that has six robotic arms with needles. Viper laid down on it and the robotic arms started to move his arms, legs, and head. As they entered his body, he started twitching, the augmentation started to take effect. His bone density increased and so did his muscle strength. They saw his eyes light up to an icy blue color. After that, they started the augmentation surgery that would help him react faster. After three hours, he walked to a mirror and what they saw made them mesmerized by his body.
They saw he had muscles that showed, but didn't bulge out. After leaving the room he entered another with his armor being moved into position for them to be put on. As Viper stood near a scientist, they saw how tall he was. When he stood near one, he was a good foot and a half taller then them. They started to move his armor on him, as they place his chest armor on, he leaned forward a little bit until the back piece was put on. As they put his helmet on, the system turned on and was operational.
It skipped to a recorded video of Viper’s first deployment to an outer colony where he fought the Covenant armed with only a Sniper and a smg. The video showed him fighting on every colony and killed more Covenant soldiers than any other Spartan 2s in action. The video stopped playing, giving everypony a chance to process what they saw, especially for Big Macarena. She liked Viper years ago and still does, but will he attack them. The group split off, saying goodbye to each other, but Applejack and Big Macarena were thinking 'is he the same Viper they knew, or is he long gone?'
Base, Everfree forest 7:00 P.M
It's been an hour since Viper woke up. After eating his food, he went into the gym and started lifting weights. He was unaware of two sisters watching him. Nightmare and Molestia were watching Viper lifting weights that showed his muscles every time he lifted upwards. They both felt a burning sensation between their legs. After he was done lifting weights, he went to a treadmill and started running, making him sweat and this drove them insane. They want to rut him, but they wanted to wait for the right moment. After his workout was done, he hit the shower to clean himself from the sweat and grime from his workout. As he stepped out he saw Nightmare Moon and Molestia staring at him with their wings at full attention.
"Uh, why are your wings like that?" Viper asked, confused at what they saw. The sisters looked at their wings and blush at the site.
"Nothing!" They both said quickly.
"Okay then *yawn* well, goodnight," Viper said as he went to his bunk. They followed him and Molestia went to the left as Nightmare Moon went in the right
"Guess there's no way asking you to find your own bed, huh?" Viper asked tiredly. Molestia shook her head. Viper just sighed and went to sleep with them hugging him.

It's been three weeks since Molestia been at the base. She and Nightmare would follow Viper around the base and would kiss him intimately at unusual time. One week after Molestia stayed, two bug like ponies was outside the base. Molestia said that they were friends of her. Apparently they were called 'changelings', a species that are able to change appearance's, like when one of them change into a mare that was called Pinkie pie and need love to survive . The black and green one was known as Queen Chrysalis and the other one was a albino Changelings queen with her mane and tail are Cherry Blossom Pink and her eyes are Lilac Purple and instead of Chitin armor,she has soft white fur.her name was Arachnia.
After the meeting the two Changelings queen agreed to help the UNSC by sending spy into the slavers ranks to find when the next shipment was coming. After a little talking they found out that Arachnia was a newly crowned queen since her mother was killed by a raid consisting of slavers and the Royal Guard commanded by Shining Armor. This alone pissed them off.killing a species because they were different. They allowed them to stay at the base. About twelve days ago, the two Changelings queen started to date both Marcus and Rusty. The two didn't care what they look like, they still loved them as they were.
The base was quiet since the team was given time to relax. Viper walked around the base looking at the different areas. Viper went to the marine barracks and saw them either playing cards, watching tv shows from the 21st Century, like Family guy, the Simpson's and a tv show called 'Jack ass'. Viper saw a couple of marines playing punchies and two marines had red arms that could been compared to a red Apple.
Viper shook his head and went to the ODST barracks.
After reaching the next barracks, Viper saw a couple of helljumpers cleaning their weapons, armor or playing basketball with a grenade,which still has the pin in it.
Viper could tell that they were bored to death. Some of them want to enter the drop pods and hit the earth again since they were trained to do that. Some ODST were playing slap jack in order to pass the time. After meeting and greeting them, Viper walked to the Command Center.
As Viper walked to the Command Center, he saw Molestia and Nightmare Moon helping out with some of the baby orphans that was on board during the three ships escape from Reach. Molestia was changing some of their diapers or playing with them or putting them to sleep and Nightmare Moon was breastfeeding a six-month old baby girl.Who lost her parents on Reach. Viper walked to Nightmare and kissed her on the cheek.
"Hey Nightmare Moon."Viper said to her. She nodded r to him. They started to talk. Viper found out that they both got a job helping out with the baby and infants that are orphaned. He couldn't help but smile, something that he does rarely, at the things they both were doing. He said bye to her and allow her to continue to do her job.
As Viper entered the Command Center, he saw COs planning where to strike next, scientists looking at the native plants inside the forest and squad leader getting orders to help either take out any hostile animals or make more room for addition to the base. He saw a colonel that was in his 60s. Viper knew him very well. Colonel Anders was a veteran before the Covenant attacked. Even though he's a Colonel, he talks to other without using his ranks to get people attention. He saw the eggheads playing with a blue like plants that they found.Viper dismissed it as a project and proceeded to the base entrance to go for a walk, unaware of the event that will happen.
Sweet Apple acres, Ponyville
Applebloom, SweetieBelle and Scootaloo were going to head to Zecora hut and meet Trixie. After persuading their older sister to go, and succeeding, they left to Zecora's hut to talk to them. As they proceeded to her house, they started talking about different ideas of getting their Cutie Marks. When they arrive to Zecora's hut, they saw Trixie and Zecora talking to each other. The Cutie Mark Crusaders said hi to them.
"Hi Zecora, hi Trixie"Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetiebelle yelled.
"Hello girls, what brings you here?" Zecora asked them.
"We wanted to see what you were doing today."Applebloom said
"Well i was going to get some more herbs for a potion, if you want, you could help" Zecora asked them and they said yes. As the group of five walked to the place where Zecora's plants were at, they didn't hear the flapping of wings behind them. As they got to the place, they started to pick at the plant until Trixie heard something stepping on leaves.
"Who's there, Trixie demands you to show yourself." Trixie yelled. Her answer was a Griffon jumping out and pointing a Kar98 rifle at her. He whistled and 20 more came out of the bushes.
"Well, well, what do we have here? A Zebra, a unicorn and three fillies, looks good enough to be slaves. " The Griffon leader said. They all were surrounding the 5 Equestrian and Applebloom did one thing, she screamed.
Same time at Viper location
Viper was taking in the view of the forest until he heard a scream, more specifically a girl scream. His Big brother instinct kicked in and ran to the place where the scream originated. Before arriving at the scene, he fell into a blue plant, but didn't pay any attention. As he found where the scream came from, he was pissed. There was 20 slavers surrounding 4 ponies and a zebra. He grabbed a frag grenade and chucked it behind them. As it exploded, killing 5 of them, Viper jumped into the middle and started to fire his smg at the Griffons, killing 8 instantly. The rest took cover and fired their new bolt-action rifles.
Viper was forced into cover since his shields went down. He pulled a sticky grenade and tossed it at them, sticking to the Griffon beak as he screamed until he, along with the rest, exploded. As he put his SMG away, he saw the older Unicorn and Zebra standing in front of the smaller ponies.
"Look, I'm not dangerous, see." Viper said to the group as he put down his weapons and removed his helmet. The group were mesmerized by his eyes until Applebloom notice a similarity to a picture at home.
"Wait a minute, have i see you before? Applebloom asked him.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Viper said.
"I've seen you before, at home with a picture of my two older sister's, A.J and Big M." After Applebloom said that, Viper eyes opened wide as he pulled out the necklace and showed the little pony it.
"Do you recognize it?" Viper asked her. As Applebloom looked at it, she went wide eyed and hugged Viper. This caught him by surprise, but he returned it no less.
"Okay, now this reunion is nice and all, but we need to leave before more start to show up." Zecora said. Viper nodded and lead the group back to the base. Halfway to the base, Viper motion sensor picked up a lot of red dots. As the dots appeared on the sensor, an army of Griffon started to swoop down, trying to get one of them. Viper and the others ran, while Viper would fire at the ones who got too close.
They saw the gate entrance, which Viper signal them via communication lines, the gates opened and they jumped in. The Griffons got too close, until a Hoplite came out of the base, weapons ready and started to fire at the Griffons until there was none left. His front shield came down and Viper saw someone who he thought he will ever see again."Parker?"
Meanwhile in Sweet Apple acres, Ponyville
Celestia, Luna, Shining Armor and The mane six, including Big Macarena, were watching another video through Viper helmet. They saw what kind of war he was fighting and he was seen as a invincible super soldiers that will fight the Covenant to their last bullet. They also saw that he saw The most terrifying thing in his military career. During the battle of Arcadia, he saw what the Jackals and brutes do to humans left behind. Viper was scarred from what he has seen.
It fast Forward to where Viper was seeing 16 and 17 year-old entering pelicans to go fight the Covenant; hoping to slow them down to buy earth time to end the war. Most of them won't come back to see their families or loved ones. The Princesses saw how far humans will go to defend their home, even its meaning causing nuclear winter on their own homes. It then showed Viper and his team. There were known as Spartan 3, on a Marathon-class cruiser heading towards Reach. This made them Gasp at the beauty of the planet.
Twilight decided to see what the planet was called. When she did she announced it to everypony. " The planet is Called Reach, humanity biggest shipyard and Fortress world. When it was discovered, the planet was rich with Titanium, metal used to create their ships."
"Hold on a minute Twilight, last time I heard, Titanium was a rare metal, and they are using like nothing?" Applejack asked her. Twilight nodded and went back to the screen.
"It's also home to the Spartan 2 and 3 program and many others, like the Centurion and Hoplite projects." Twilight looked at the four projects and started to speak.
"The hoplite and Centurion projects were meant to use regular soldiers and give augmentation to Hoplite soldiers and put them inside armor that is easy to remove, except the Hoplite, since it requires help to put it on. The Centurion are meant to be fast and agile, while Hoplite are slow and heavy, but is used as a defense unit. Only 50 Centurion were made and 2,000 Hoplite are created." They were shocked to hear that they have a upper hand in technology and experience.
"The Spartan 3 project is created by Colonel Ackerson, which the project created super soldiers from war orphans who had nowhere to go. A unknown amount were created. The Spartan 2 project was created in 2517 when Dr. Catherine Elizabeth Halsey, ONI head scientist found 75 children and.." Twilight gulped as she said" kidnapped the 75 children and replaced them with clones. In the year 2525, they were given augmentation and out of 75, only 33 made it."
The group was shocked to hear that a woman kidnapped children to make Spartan 2.
"Here are some of the active or M.I.A Spartans 2 up to date.'John-117, Fred-104,Kelly-087, Viper-198, and the red team who was on board the Spirit of fire." Applejack and Big Macarena sighed, knowing that Viper was alive. As Twilight continued the video it showed viper and his team heading towards a rebel outpost when a marine came on the comms and said something shook every Spartans to their core.
“Mayday, mayday, the Covenant is on Reach, the Covenant is on Reach.”
After that, they went to a staging area where the UNSC are mounting an Assault against the Task force of the Covenant. They saw how much vehicle were deployed. Then, the battle began. Both sides started firing at each other, destroying vehicle after vehicle, leaving hundreds of casualties on each side. It was going on until one Spire was destroyed and the biggest ship that the ponies ever saw came out and the recording stopped.
"Well, what happened to Viper Twilight?" Applejack asked, wanting to know what happened to Viper.
"Well according to this the Supercarrier, Long Night of Solace appeared above reach. They had a plan to destroy it without risking their ships. Dubbed Operation:UPPERCUT, it was to hijack a corvette, Ardent Prayer, and put a improvise slip-space bomb and detonate it. It was a success, but Jorge-052, dies since he had to manually detonate the bomb. Moments later,a fleet of 750 covenant Ships appeared near reach. Colonel Holland ordered all ships docked to get as much civilians off world and activate 'Cole Protocol'."
"That doesn't answer my question, is he alive or not?" Applejack both threatened and pleaded.
"It's said that he was last seen heading towards a Colony ship heading towards uncharted space. Hold here is the solar system." A small hologram of their solar system popped up and so did 4 ships.
"So he's alive?" Big Macarena asked. Only a nod was her answer.
"So twilight, since they are here, do you think that they would use their ships on us?" Celestia asked her student.
"I don't know princesses, their atomic bombs alone generate heat ten times our own surface of the sun." Twilight said nervously." And by the looks of it, they are watching our planet." Twilight was right, they hid behind the moon. Before anyone could say anything, Granny Smith came in and said"have you seen the girls anywhere?" They shook their heads.
"This is bad, it's past six and none returned. " this made all of them scared for the fillies, wondering what happened.
Base, Everfree forest
It's been 3 hours since the. Five arrived. The Colonel said they have to stay, since they both know where the base is located and if the Griffon are still out there. This got them scared to not see friends or family again. When the Cutie Mark Crusaders started to tear up, Viper promised them that they will get to see their families again. As Viper took them to their room, he was hit by a black and white blur. He saw Nightmare Moon and Molestia kissing him. He had to explain to the frightened group they won't hurt them.
They decided to get to watch a movie. They all agreed to the movie 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'. They watched it any sang every song up to 'Court of Miracles '. Which included Delta playing Clopin. Apparently they found out that when they sing, it will cause others to sing. After the movie was over, they grabbed something to eat. Viper and his team found out that the three fillies were called Cutie Mark Crusaders, who looking for their Cutie Marks. After Nightmare Moon and Molestia showed theirs to Viper, that made him blush, which tell about their destiny. After that, they went to sleep, unaware what's happening to Viper.

The next day 0600 hours
Viper woke up and yawned. He decided to hit the showers so that when Nightmare Moon or Molestia wake up, they don't steal all the hot water. As he put his feet to the floor, he heard a distinct 'clop-clop'. He looked down to see two hooves, his hooves. He got up and went to the bathroom and looked into the mirror. His body changed to a unicorn. His fur was black and his mane and tail was silver with steel stripes near the end.
'Thank god that I'm not a girl, otherwise that would raise some eyebrows', Viper thought.
He walked into the room until he saw wings on his back when flexed his back.
'Great, I'm an alicorn. Can this day get any worse'? It got worse. When he went back to his room, his marefriends woke up and saw him. They instantly thought that he was an intruder and started to attack him.
"Hey, stop. It's me, Viper!" he said as Molestia tried to kick him in his man-er… stallionhood, but alas, she didn't stop in time to stop his baby maker from being crushed by her hoof.
"Oh my, Viper, I'm so sorry. I thought you were an intruder," Molestia apologized as Nightmare Moon helped him up.
"It's ok, but I might have a chance of not having foals, or kids ever in my lifetime from that kick," Viper said in a strained voice. The three decided to find Zecora, Viper limping rather than walking, to find out what happened to him.
10 minutes later
"What the hell is Poison Joke?" Viper asked.
"It's kinda like Poison Oak, instead it plays a joke on you," Apple Bloom said as Zecora started to look for the necessary ingredients to make a cure.
"How long will it take to make it?" Viper asked.
"A couple of hours, since all my ingredients are at my hut and some are in the Everfree forest. I'll be gone until then," Zecora said as she left to get the Poison Joke cure.
"Great, just great. How am I going to tell my team?" Viper asked himself as he left to his team bedroom.
Later, team bedroom
"HAHAHAHA, oh my god, I can't- I can't breathe!" Blake said as he and the team laughed at Viper’s misfortune, until Blake got kicked between his legs by said person.
"This is not a time to laugh. I can't do anything because of my... condition, so Marcus is the Squad leader until this is cured," Viper said in a tone that left no room for any arguments.
"Okay then, right now I'm going to stay on the base until further not..." Viper didn't finish when the P.A system turned on.
"Viper and his team, report to Colonel Anders for further orders." The P.A system then turned off. Viper and the other nine walked to the location. When they did, the Colonel asked for an explanation about what happened to Viper, who explained everything to him. After the explanation, the Colonel started to explain about the mission at hand.
"Yesterday, one of our satellites took an image over the griffon empire and found this," The Colonel said as a 3-D image of a building with smoke stacks coming out of it.
"What are we looking at, Colonel?" Blake asked.
"This is a weapons factory that the griffons are using to make these," Anders said as he brought more 3-D images showing German tanks, fighters and bombers, bombs and weapons used for ground troops.
"Jesus Christ, they look like they are preparing for a war," Brandon said as he saw the amount of weaponry and vehicles they were producing.
"The Captains are getting anxious about it because they are pretty much in the heart of Europe," Colonel Anders said as he brought the planet into view and zoomed onto the European continent, which they call it that since they don't know what the ponies call them, and it showed the griffon empire in the middle of the continent.
"Since the world, excluding some countries, still uses Bronze Age weapons and tech, they won't have any chance against them if they are invaded and that is bad for us, since they could fortify their homeland to make it nearly impenetrable and they could have air defense systems all over the country. They have 10 of these super factories all over their country, but this one is the most vulnerable. They put it between two mountains that makes it near impossible for land attack, but not for an air assault," the Colonel said as he showed the Spirit of Fire over the country in orbit.
"We are sending in a team of 19 to drop in and destroy the factory so their production is significantly decreased. You will be transported to the Spirit of Fire in one hour, dismissed," as Anders said that, the nine Spartans saluted him and left to the grab their gear and ammo.
1 hour later, Alpha base hangar.
The 9 Spartans walked to their assigned area, but was surprised when they saw Samantha and her team getting their gear ready, along with Rusty who was sharpening the blade side of the tenderizer.
"Guess you got pulled in this too, huh?" Jaeden asked as he talked to Samantha.
"Yeah, guess this has to be a big deal if they have Spartans on the mission," she said as Samantha pointed to the others. They heard their mission number called.
"Mission number 68-4965 is a go," the lady on the P.A system said.
"Guess that's our signal," Ryan said as he spit out a piece of gum. They started to enter the Pelican. Once they all got in, the Pelican took off and flew to the Spirit of Fire.
Meanwhile in Ponyville
Twilight was looking through Viper and his teams’ records that was on the drone. She went through each one and they all had one thing in common, they were all are on ONI’s bad side. Each Spartan had an impressive record of completing each mission without any injury and a high kill count. She saw that Viper chose them personally, each having a specific job on the battlefield. She was surprised that Viper’s team survived a good amount of the war.
When she was looking through their combat records, Matthew knocked on her door.
"Who is it?" Twilight asked.
"It's Matthew," Matthew said. Twilight got up and opened the door, showing her slave with an envelope with the royal seal.
"What is this?' Twilight asked Matthew as she read it.
"I don't know. A royal courier dropped this at the door," Matthew replied.
Twilight read the paper that said that Princess Celestia and Luna are coming to Ponyville for a small social gathering. This raised her heart rate since this is the first time she ever introduced her friends formally to Celestia. She prayed that everything went smoothly.
Spirit of Fire drop pod bay.
The team were putting their weapons into the pods. Earlier they met Parker, another Centurion who knew Viper. When they checked his records, it said that he killed an elite Zealot and took his energy sword. He is serious when on the battlefield, but is usually calm outside of it.
"Okay, remember what the Colonel said. The Spartans are going to the front and the Centurion are hitting the back," Samantha said as they entered the SIOEV drop pods.
The task force was waiting until the light started to change color. They all grabbed their controls until the light turned green and they were ejected to the planet below.
The nineteen pods were falling towards the planet and high speeds, then the Centurion started to split off from the rest and aimed for the other side of the factory.
With the Spartans, north side of the weapons factory
The team opened their chutes to slow down their descent until they felt the pods hitting the ground and the pod doors blasted opened and the team started to fire at the griffons, who were confused. The Spartans’ fire power, along with four Spartans’ upgraded weapons, tore through the griffons’ armor. After the team of ten duck behind cover, the griffons opened fire with bolt action rifles, pistols, machine guns, and sub machine guns. The two forces opened fired, the Spartans’ shields holding on long enough for them to kill a good chunk of the griffon forces.
The Spartans started to advance, while Brandon stayed behind to give them sniper support. The griffons started to pour out of the factory and fired their guns at them. One of them started to become a problem for them.
"Brandon, can you take this damn gunner out, we can't advance?" Luke asked over the comms. 10 seconds later, the gunner was missing half a face as he went down.
"Moving up, thanks Brandon," Jaeden said as the 9 Spartans moved up. They split up into three groups, Blake, Andrew, and Ryan went to the left side. Marcus, Alex, and Jaeden went the right. The rest went straight down the middle.
With Marcus and his squad
Marcus, Alex, and Jaeden killed the griffons that started to pop out of the factory doors. Marcus grabbed one of them and stabbed it in the skull and pulled out the knife. Alex used his modified assault rifle to his advantage and killed a group of griffons that tried to sneak up behind them. The three stop and heard tank tracks getting closer and turned to see a Panzer tank aiming its cannon at them. Wasting no time, they all scrambled. Jaeden pulled his grenade launcher and fired a grenade round at the tracks.
The tracks took damage, but was still operational. Jaeden grabbed a different round, a thermite grenade round, and put it into the grenade launcher and fired. The effect was instantaneous. The round burned through the tank armor and burned it to liquid metal, killing those inside.
"Hope to God that the others are having more luck than us," Alex said as they entered the building.
With Blake, Andrew, and Ryan
They weren't having the best of luck. The three Spartans are stuck between advancing griffons from behind, and six gunners in the front. Andrew and Ryan pulled a maneuver out of their playbook. Andrew grabbed a bubble shield and chucked it at Ryan, who used his shotgun as a bat. The device was launched towards the machine gunners, who didn't see it until they turned into a bloody mist when the bubble popped up and their bullets bounced off the shield. Blake put his shotgun on his magnetic clip on his back and pulled out his pistol and started to shoot them in the head, causing streams of blood and brain matter to fly everywhere.
As the three advanced towards the entrance, they see the griffons desperately trying to close the doors, only to have a rocket to explode at their feet, launching chunks of body parts and intestines all over the place. Eventually, the team of three entered the factory and hoped that the others were okay.
With Callie, Luke, and Rusty
The Spartan 2 and the other two were pretty much having a blast. Callie would use her dual smgs and kill anything that was trying to kill her, even to the point of grabbing a MG34 machine gun and started to mow down the griffons. Rusty was using his rocket launcher and gravity hammer, and was demolishing everything that was in his way, while singing a Frank Sinatra song. Luke was beating a griffin to death, when said griffin tried to stab Callie in the back.
When he turned around, Rusty had the weirdest weapon ever, it looked like a Spartan laser, but when he fired, instead of holding the trigger and firing a laser, it pushed air out and flung griffons all over the place, killing most of them. He didn't want to question on how he got the weapon and proceeded to kill everything that was a griffon.
Eventually, the griffons were either dead or dying, the three went to the front entrance, only to be greeted by a Panzer tank. Since Rusty’s rocket launcher was out of ammo and they had no grenades, Callie ran onto the tank and hijacked the moving armor and used it on other tanks as more rolled out of the factory.
"Should we help her?" Rusty asked.
"Nah, Callie can handle herself. Besides, right now she is in her own place, and I don't want to be near her right now," Luke said as Callie destroyed another tank and she drove around the place. The two Spartans saw more infantry coming in and some of them had Panzerschreck rocket launchers and aimed for the tank Callie is using.
Luke grabbed one of the griffons and snapped his head around as he grabbed the grenades that he saw.
Rusty had another mysterious weapon, this one was quite interesting. It had a DJ table on it and when fired, music was playing and these weird orbs that exploded upon impact. He was having a blast that he didn't see some of the corpses dancing as they died.
Meanwhile in Sugarcube Corner
Pinkie pie was getting some ingredients ready for tomorrow morning when she felt an itch on her back. She didn't know what it means, but she felt that somepony broke the fourth wall for their own use, but shrugged it off as she went back doing what she was doing.
Back at the weapons factory
The team finally reached each other inside the facility, but what they saw was appalling. There were humans and... ponies? The team saw them making weapons while griffons watched them from behind or from walkways above them. The team started to prep their weapons when they saw two griffons fall to the ground without their heads.
"Thanks Brandon," Callie said as they observed the situation.
"Well, what the hell are ponies doing in a griffon weapons factory?” Rusty asked as he gripped his hammer tightly.
"Maybe when the slaves started to decline, they had to look for another source of labor, and that is ponies," Marcus said as the team reloaded and started to engage the griffons head on. As they were killing the griffons, Callie started to yell at them to go outside through the north side of the place. As they were pushing them back, the Spartans were losing ammo quickly, so they grabbed any weapons that they could get.
As they started to kill the remaining griffons, they heard an explosion across from the other side. Then the factory started to collapse on them.
"Shit, this place is going down. We have to get out of here!" Marcus said as they ran like Satan himself was chasing them.
When they saw the entrance, they thought they were going to make it. Unfortunately, a griffon that was still behind, pushed a shelf that was holding crates of empty shells used for AA-guns and artillery guns. They tried to get out of the mess of shells, but before they could, the rest of the factory started to fall on them. It was the last thing they saw before the building collapsed.
The Weapons Factory pt.2
Same time, South side of the factory with the Centurions
As the 9 pods hit the ground and the doors burst open, the 9 Centurion ran as fast as they could to the factory. Thanks to the armor, they were able to get to the factory in little time.
By the time they all got there, Abraham heard gunfire and explosions coming from the North side.
"Looks like they got their attention," Abraham said.
"Doesn't matter. Right now we have to do our job," Samantha said as they went through the back, since the griffons went in the front to deal with the Spartans.
The team saw humans, along with ponies, making weapons and other things for the griffons.
"Oh god," Tanya said as she saw them being forced to do something or face death.
"Sarath and George," Samantha told the two snipers. "I want you to get up to a vantage point and give us sniper support. The rest of us are going to see how the hell they got so advanced in a small amount of time. Move out." The two snipers head towards any high point they could find as the rest of the team moves on. As the seven Centurion started to sweep the factory, Samantha asked Parker a question.
"How does Viper know you?" Samantha asked Parker.
"He's the Spartan that saved my squad after our pelican was shot down by banshees on Paris IV. He took on a covenant army to get to our position. By the time he got to us, he was covered in the covenants’ blood," Parker said as he grabbed a griffon and snapped its neck as Samantha grabbed one and slit its throat.
"How did you join the program?" Hiroyuki asked as he sliced a griffon in half with his katana.
"I was approached by the spooks during my return to Reach. They saw my combat records and was impressed by my kill count," Parker said as he stabbed one of the griffon with his bowie knife.
"Hey, where is Abraham, Tanya, and Faa Mei?" Parker asked.
"I don't know. Somewhere I guess," Hiroyuki said.
Meanwhile inside the explosive assembly room
The three Centurion were moving explosives, ranging from grenades to artillery rounds used for battleships, into a pile so when they leave, the place would get sent to kingdom come.
"Abraham, put those bombs over there," Faa mei told Abraham, who listened as he put the bombs into place.
"Why are we doing this?" Tanya asked in her cheerful attitude.
"Because the Colonel wants this place destroyed before they could produce enough weapons and vehicles for an invasion," Faa mei said as she went back to work wiring C-4 explosives near the stockpiles of bombs. Tanya just stared at her, but then shrugged it off and went back to helping Abraham with the explosives. By the time they were done, they had enough explosives to destroy a covenant corvette. They left and head back to the team, unaware that Abraham forgot to make sure the artillery shells were secured.
With Samantha, Parker, and Hiroyuki
The three were able to get to a records room, after killing 60 guards, and started to look for anything they could use.
"No... no… no... no," Parker said as he went through all sorts of files.
"Found anything yet?" Samantha asked as she went through a cabinet before going to the next one.
"Nothing yet, ma'am," Hiroyuki said as he just went through his 5th cabinet of files.
"No yet...hold on, I think I found something," Parker said as he pulled out a file that said ‘weapons and vehicle development’.
"What you find?" Samantha asked.
"See for yourself," Parker said as they went through the files.
"Jesus Christ, they've been developing and making weapons for nearly twenty years. How can they hide this from the rest of the world?" Hiroyuki asked as he saw the advancement in technology the griffons had.
"Before we showed up, they probably had these hidden from any ambassador they had, so that they looked like they haven't made or researched anything," Samantha said as she looked through the files.
"Look at this," Parker said as the others came to him. "Jet fighters and bombers, super tanks, V-2 rockets, designs for stronger naval vessels? God damn, it looks like they could destroy every country on this planet."
"We should take as much as we can and burn the rest. Don't give them anything more for them to work off of," Samantha said. The other two agreed as they started to grab anything that looks important and once they were done, they started to rip up the rest of the papers and documents. After ripping up the documents, Samantha grabbed a lighter and lit a piece of paper on fire, before putting it with the rest, causing the room to smoke up.
"Come on, we have to leave before anyone notices we're here," Hiroyuki said as they left to where the team snipers were at.
With George and Sarath
The two snipers were watching for any more griffons trying to enter the back. There was a pile of bodies in front of the door.
"God this is boring," George said as he sniped another griffon that tried to enter the building. "30."
"At least you're not trying to wait for one of these bastards to enter, no one go through that door that I'm watching," Sarath said as she waited for a griffon to go through. Before George could say anything they saw the rest of the team starting to come towards them.
"So how was the hunt for anything that could tell us how in the hell they could get so advanced that quickly?" Sarath asked. Parker started to tell them about everything they found.
"Wow, they're really that messed up that they are willing to work people to death to get their technology done?" George asked.
"Looks like it," Samantha said as she looked at Faa mei, Tanya, and Abraham." Where the hell you three go?"
"Well we thought that we could blow this place sky high, might as well use their explosives that they made," Abraham said as he scratched the back of his head.
"Well, that's covered, so what now?" Faa mei asked them.
"Now we radio the Spartans and tell them to get..." Samantha didn't finish as an explosion went off and they saw the building starting to collapse.
"Run!" Samantha yelled as they started to run to get out of the collapsing building.
"What the hell just happened!?!" Abraham yelled
"Maybe one of the artillery shells fell to the ground with the tip touching the floor and resulted in the explosion!" Faa mei said as they ran out of the factory before it collapsed on them. They were able to escape the factory before it fell on them. When they did, Samantha tried to radio the Spartans.
"Samantha to Callie, Marcus, Blake, anybody?!" she yelled. Samantha didn't get a response. She started to think of possibly where they are. When she narrowed it down, her worst fear came to pass.
"UNSC Spirit of Fire, do you read?" Samantha asked over the comm with the Colony ship.
"This is Serina. What happened down there?" Serina asked.
"We got a team of Spartans buried under a collapsed factory and civilians that need medical attention," Samantha said.
"Copy that, we have pelicans heading towards your location. Serina out," Serina said before disconnecting the line. Samantha ran towards the destroyed factory and started to move the rubble out of the way. Her team started to help her remove the rubble where the Spartan teams last known location was at. After moving rubble and debris away, they heard moaning.
"Callie, Blake, anybody!?!" Samantha yelled.
"Jesus Christ, stop yelling and start getting us out of here." Rusty said as they were underneath them.
"How are you still alive?" Parker asked.
"We activated our suits’ armor lock and it took most of the impact," Brandon said as the Centurion were removing almost all of the debris out of the way. By the time they were done, they saw the first waves of pelicans, ranging from Reach police pelicans to the search and rescue.
The back door opened and medical teams, along with soldiers, went towards the large group of ponies and humans. The ponies started to move backwards from them. The doctors wonder why they were backing up, until they looked at the soldiers and told them to leave. The marines hesitated, but listened and left to the pelicans or watch if any griffons came back.
As the doctors started to treat the ponies and humans, Samantha and her team were able to drag the Spartans out of the debris they were buried in. Their armor was covered in dents and scrapes, but other than that, they were fine. They were conversing with each other, until they saw another wave of pelicans heading towards them. When they saw their name on the side, they noticed that the pelicans had names of cities from Paris IV, Arcadia, Jericho VII and other colonies’ police departments.
"I thought those pelicans were left on their colonies before they were glassed?" Marcus asked as he started to walk after being buried under debris for a while.
"I thought so too. Maybe we should ask the Colonel when we get back," Samantha said as her team and the Spartans started to head towards a pelican and board it. Once they were boarded they told the pilot to head towards base alpha in the Everfree forest.
"Okay, once we get back, I'm more than happy to let Viper take these kind of missions from now on," Blake said as the pelican flew off back to the base so they could relax and have their armor repaired.
A Day with the CMC
During the Weapons Factory, 0900
Viper was heading back towards his room, so he could get a nap in until he heard a scream that came from a room down the hallway. He ran towards to source of the scream and opened the door. When Viper entered, he saw Scootaloo curled up into a ball and screaming, like someone was hurting her.
"Scootaloo, it's me, Viper," Viper said as he tried to get Scootaloo’s attention. After 10 minutes of trying, Scootaloo was able to look at Viper and hugged him, surprising him.
"Please don't let him get me!" Scootaloo said as she choked on her words.
"Don't let who get you?" Viper asked, curious of who this pony is.
"My dad," Scootaloo said as she stopped screaming and started to whimper.
"Hey, hey, he won't get you. Now can you tell me why you were screaming like that?" Viper asked in a soothing voice. Scootaloo stopped whimpering and started to tell Viper about her father, Shadow Light, who is a unicorn captain for a prince named Blueblood. When she started to tell him about the abuse she had to put up with and nasty comments, like some were saying that she was a poor excuse of a daughter or she shouldn't have been born, Viper’s anger level started to rise.
'Whoever this Shadow Light is, when I find him, I'm going to make his life a living fucking hell for abusing his own daughter'. Viper thought as he pulled Scootaloo closer to him. If the abuse was torture to his ears, then the last one was the icing on the cake. Since Scootaloo was born a Pegasus than a Unicorn, her father decided to stop giving her the nutrients she needed to help her wings grow, which was why her wings were smaller.
"Please don't let him find me," Scootaloo said in a shaky voice.
"Scootaloo, he will never get you because between you and him are the Spartans, the Centurion marines, and the hoplite. Even if he is able to pass through them, I will fight to my last breath to make sure that he will never get to you, ever," Viper told her as he wrapped one of his wings around her. Viper didn't know how he did it.
'Must be a Pegasus instinct'. Viper thought as he comforted Scootaloo. Viper saw the time and decided to go get something to eat. Viper asked Scootaloo if she was hungry and her stomach growling confirmed it. Viper stood up and he, along with Scootaloo, went to the cafeteria to get some breakfast.
The cafeteria, ten minutes later
Viper and Scootaloo, along with the rest of the CMC, entered the cafeteria where a lot of different smells assaulted the ponies’ noses. They smelled foods from different cultures, like Asian foods, foods from the European countries and some from the Americas. Viper told the girls to follow him to a line that shortened since the morning rush ended.
"Okay girls, since you cannot eat meat, they have eggs, toast, hash browns, pancakes, waffles and other breakfast items there is," Viper said as he grabbed a plate and started to put on eggs, French toast and hash browns, along with some bacon. The three fillies looked at each other and decided to grab a plate and put food that was being served onto their plates. After they were done getting their food, they followed Viper to an empty table. After that they started eating.
While they ate their breakfast, Apple Bloom asked Viper a question.
"Hey, Viper. How do you get all of this food?" Apple Bloom asked. Viper chewed on a piece of bacon and answered.
"We made deals with some farmers all across Equestria, we give them money to help them and/or protection when they need to transport their goods, and we get 5% of their food and supplies," Viper said as he started to drink his glass of orange juice.
"I got a question too. How come you're eating meat even though you're a pony?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Even though the poison joke changed my body, I still have my canines," Viper said as he showed his teeth, which still has the sharp ones. Viper closed his mouth and cut a piece of French toast and dipped it into syrup before eating it. The girls ate in silence until Scootaloo had a question in mind.
"Umm, Viper, what is your real name?" Scootaloo asked. Instantly the entire cafeteria went quiet and all eyes were on Viper. Almost everyone heard of Viper before, but not his actual name. Viper sighed and answered.
"Well here's the thing, the only way I could reveal my name is if my teammates get married before me," Viper said casually as he finished his plate of food and brought it to the stack of dirty plates before leaving. The fillies were confused by that statement, so they finished their food and stacked their plates and ran to him.
"What do you mean 'if your teammates get married before you’?" Scootaloo asked. Viper chuckled and explained.
"A couple years before we came here, my team wanted to know my real name, but I told them no. After days of asking, they made a bet. If they get married before me, I'll tell my true name at the wedding, but if I get married before they do, then no one will know my actual name," Viper said as he entered his room.
"So basically what you're saying is that one of your team members gets hitched, then you'll tell your real name?" Apple Bloom asked. Viper nodded.
"So what are you going to do now, since you aren't doing any mission or things like that?" Apple Bloom asked as Viper sat on his bed.
"Well, I was going to get a power nap in, but since I'm wide awake, how about we watch a movie?" Viper asked as he went to get the box of movies. The girls got up and started looking through the collection of DVD discs. After ten minutes of digging, they found two movies, but couldn't decide what to watch.
"We should watch this!" Scootaloo said as she held up a movie called 'The Prince of Egypt' in her hands.
"No, we should watch this!" Sweetie Belle said as she held Pocahontas in her grasp.
The two fillies were bickering back and forth about which movie they should watch.
"Do they always act like this?" Viper asked Apple Bloom as he watched the two girls fight over what movie they could watch.
"Yep," Apple Bloom said as Viper got tired at the two fighting and grabbed the two movies, ignoring their cries of protest.
"Okay, since you can't agree on what to watch, we're going to watch this first," Viper said, holding up Pocahontas. "And we're going to watch this next." Holding up the Prince of Egypt. The two girls didn't complain as they got onto Viper’s bed. When Pocahontas started, it showed the famous Disney logo. When the movie started playing, it showed England in the 1600s. Sweetie Belle asked Viper something.
"What are they doing?" Viper chuckled at her question.
"That was us nearly nine hundred years ago. We were using boats designed for water and this shows about what was waiting for the crew on that ship," Viper answered as they saw Governor Ratcliffe entering from a stage coach.
"Who is he?" Scootaloo asked.
"That is Governor Ratcliffe, he's pretty much going to the 'New World' with one thing on his mind, getting as much gold as he can get," Viper said. They continued watching all the way to where they see the Native Americans. Viper started to tell them about the native, who lived off of the land and worked with others.
"Just like us, right, Viper?" Apple Bloom asked. Viper nodded, thinking about it. The Equestrians were like the natives and the four ships were the newcomers, with one difference, England sent ships to look for gold. They came to hide from the Covenant. As they continue to watch the movie, Viper noticed Scootaloo moving closer to him. Viper knew that she was still scared that her father was trying to get her, but he wouldn't let him touch her. As the movie neared the end, when both the English men and natives are on a path towards war , Sweetie Belle cut in.
"Why are they going to fight each other?" Sweetie Belle asked as the song 'Savages' started to play.
"Well, from other people's point of view, they think that one group or the other started the fight, but it's humanity fear of the unknown that started it," Viper said as he watched the two sides marching to war, then thought if the UNSC went to war against the Equestrians. The UNSC had the technology, but lacks troops, since they only had about 35,000 in total and about 15,000 were soldiers and 10,000 were former slaves and the Equestrians had the numbers, but lacks in the technology department. When the movie ended, Viper thought if he was an alicorn, he could use magic. He then lifted his hand to the movie player and tried to remove the disc. After a full minute, he was able to remove it, albeit with some difficulty, and he grabbed the second movie.
"Before I put this on, do you want to watch this?" Viper asked as the three fillies nodded. Viper sighed as he put the movie in and started it. As the clouds in the background started to dissipate and a trumpet was playing in the background. As the trumpet got to its last note of the song Deliver us the three CMC were shocked at the site of slaves being treated and worked to death.
"Why are they doing this?" Apple Bloom asked. Viper sighed and explained the situation to them.
"When the first civilizations started popping up, they needed workers to build their empires, unfortunately that meant looking for different people than their own. This movie shows the Egyptian enslaving the Hebrews, a religious group, and making them build different monuments and buildings for them," Viper said as it showed a mother, who's carrying a baby, and two kids, one holding a basket. The mother grabbed the girl’s hand and moved away from the slums, as Egyptian soldiers went into homes and killed the babies, this what got to the fillies.
"Why are they doing that?" Scootaloo asked, shocked.
"Well, since the Egyptian feared an uprising from the slaves, they killed the next generation of Hebrews. That and they did it to show them who's in charge and owns them," Viper told them as they watched the mother put the child in the basket. She sang a lullaby to him before putting the top on. She pushed the basket into the river, praying that he could find some place to be free. After the beginning it shows a young Moses and his older brother, Rameses, were racing to the entrance of a temple, when Moses knocked down a scaffolding, causing a tidal wave of sand to follow them. This got them berated by their father.
Later on, after Moses accidentally kills a man, Scootaloo asked him something.
"If Moses killed someone, then why is he going back?" she asked.
"You'll see," Viper said as it got to where Moses’ stick turned into a snake and the high priest did the same thing, but their way. As Moses tried to convince Rameses to let his people go, Rameses refused and forced them to work double, thanks to Moses.
As Moses once again tried to get Rameses to let his people go, he turned the Nile River into blood, which the priest did with powder. After Rameses refused again and this started The plagues
As the song progresses, it showed different plagues, like the frogs, locusts, and the burning hail.
"Why is that happening to them?" Scootaloo asked as they saw Rameses getting more and more frustrated as the song got near the end.
"Because when Rameses refused to let Moses’ people go, God sent ten plagues, each one getting more and more dangerous as Rameses became more determined to outlast them. Unfortunately, the Egyptians are paying for his stubbornness," Viper said as the song ended and he next scene went to show Moses and Rameses talking in the same place. Moses tells Rameses that something more dangerous than he himself doesn't know is coming, but the Pharaoh refused to listen and it costed him his son when the final plague, the plague of death killed all of the first born of those who didn't repent by putting lamb's blood on their door frames.
When the movie ended, Viper looked at the clock and started to freak out.
"Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit..." Viper said continually as he ran out of the room.
"Viper, why are you in a hurry?" Apple Bloom asked as she, along with her friends, followed him.
"Because I forgot that I am supposed to head to the Summer Solstice to overlook some new weapons and tech," Viper said as he went into the underground hangar.
"Can we go too?" Scootaloo asked as Viper looked at them.
"Fine, but don't touch anything without my permission. Got it?" Viper said as the girls nodded. The four boarded the Pelican and strapped in, with Viper helping them in, before the ship started to head towards space.
Summer Solstice hangar, twenty minutes later
Viper and the Crusaders got off the Pelican, with the girls having a hard time trying not to trip, as they walked to the R&D room. As Viper and the girls entered, they saw a wide variety of weapons and gadgets on the walls.
"Viper, can't believe you're late," Dr. Anders said as she approached him and the girls.
"When Captain Cutter said that something happened to you, I thought he was joking," Anders said as she escorted them to the weapons testing room. When they arrived, Viper saw three weapons on the table. The first one looked like the pistol that he would carry on covert operations, the second is the Sniper Rifle System 99C-Series 2 Anti-Matériel, but has two barrels instead of one and the other looks like a sniper, but doesn't have a magazine or a bolt and is designed like the railgun from the 21st Century.
As Viper picked up the second sniper, Dr. Anders turned around and saw him looking through the scope.
"Ah, I see that you're looking at the new sniper rifle?" Anders asked as Viper looked for the chamber for the bullet. Anders rolled her eyes and grabbed it out of his hands.
"Two questions, one, what is this, and two, where does the ammo go?" Viper asked, curious about the new weapon.
"One, it’s called the Magnetic Operating Rail System Sniper Rifle, or as everybody else calls it, the MORS sniper rifle, and two, the ammo goes right here," Anders said as she grabs a couple of Titanium slugs that were covered in a light orange glow. Viper chambered the round in and he went to the shooting range. As he aimed his sights to a ballistic gel body with armor on it, he could tell that this weapon is going to mess up the ballistic gel body. He held his breath and fired.
When the round hit the target, Viper thought it would leave a huge hole, but instead he, along with the entire room, saw the ballistic gel body was turned into an orangeish skin before it peeled off and disappeared.
"What the hell happened?" Viper asked as he looked at where the ballistic body was.
"That was a forerunner light matter round that you fired. We found those on a forerunner shield world and we took some of the weaponry and a lot of 'combat suits'. Now let's test the rest of the weapons, shall we?" Anders said as Viper used the other weapons. He found out that the Magnum pistol is able to lock-on to targets that he highlights, so that no civilians get hurt and the sniper is a modified version of itself, using plasma infused 14.5x114mm APFSDS rounds and the second barrel was a railgun barrel that fires the round with a stronger penetration, but at the cost of its fire rate.
As Viper, including the Cutie Mark Crusaders, tried different weapons and gadgets that were in development, including a jump kit and an exo-suit, they decided to get something to eat before trying the last new toy. As Viper ate, Scootaloo and the others were talking on how fun it was to use the jump kit and exo-suit. Viper smiled at them, then internally frowning when he remembered when he was young, he would do the same thing, until he lost everything.
As they finished eating, Viper saw some ODSTs glaring at him, but ignored it as the four made their way to the hangar. As they entered, Viper saw an aircraft that looked like a crossover of a MiG and a harrier from the 21st Century. He asked a technician what it was and he said it was a Hornet. The Hornet are an interceptor fighter that has miniature drones outfitted with specialized auto cannons.
The fighter’s strength is in numbers and 25 are able to destroy a covenant corvette or damage a CCS-Battlecruiser. Viper saw it was a two seater, one for flying the aircraft and using the weapons and the other for controlling the drones. Viper said he is willing to do it, if the fillies are allowed to go.
The technician was flabbergasted at the proposition, but said only one could. Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom respectively declined, Scootaloo decided that she would go. As Viper started to strap in Scootaloo, then himself in, Viper thought on how they were able to make this in a small amount of time.
As he started to get the aircraft ready, he turned to Scootaloo and asked her a question.
"Are you sure you want to go through with this?" Viper asked her, who nodded. As Viper got the green light, he flew out of the hangar at a fast rate, pushing him and Scootaloo into their chairs. As the ship slowed down enough for them to sit normally, Viper started to test the ship’s maneuverability and speed. When he started to perform the basic movement for the ship, he could hear Scootaloo trying to hold her lunch in. After a good 45 minutes of testing the ship’s maneuverability, he wanted to see how fast the ship could go.
Viper punched the ship and the ship went fast. As the ship started to speed faster, both Viper and Scootaloo were forced into their chairs until the ship reached its limits. After Viper slowed the ship back down, his ship instantly picked up multiple slip-space ruptures coming from the outer part of the solar system. When he arrived, expecting the covenant, he saw four Marathon class cruisers, twice as much as Charon class frigates, a Phoenix class colony ship, a cargo carrier, a star liner, three merchant ships, and one ship that made Viper’s blood freeze. "This is Viper-198 of the UNSC Summer Solstice, to the... UNSC Banshee’s Call, do you copy?" Viper said over UNSC frequency. He waited until a cold voice that belonged to someone he knows and hates came over the radio.
"This is Agent Talaway of the Banshee's Call. I want to know why the hell a Spartan is doing all the way out here?!" Talaway said as Viper was trying not to yell over the radio.
"We were under 'Cole Protocol' and my team was aboard the Summer Solstice, Talaway," Viper said with a tiny trace of venom.
After Viper switched his radio frequency to another ship, the Lady of Sorrows and the Captain, who said that they were what’s left of the fleet defending Reach and they were escorting the civilian ships. When they heard Captain Cutter asking the fleet to help with picking up some soldiers and civilians, they complied and sent pelicans. Meanwhile Cutter told Viper that Zecora made the cure and to head towards the Summer Solstice hangar to head back to Alpha Base.
30 minutes later
After turning back to normal, well, as normal as an augmented super soldier could get, but found out that his body still contained magic. After finishing his dinner, he cleaned up and went into his room, but stopped and returned downstairs and left a note with it saying that he went to bed early. In all my life in fighting the Covenant, I never thought that we would find another source of life, but we did. These 'ponies' as everyone is calling them, have some human like features, like hands, they could walk up straight and other features that will not be named. While they aren't technologically advanced, they do have magic and can control the weather. This place looked like paradise, if you ignore the fact that the Equestrians enslave humans.
Even though the Captains are wary of sending civilians down to the planet, they know that the civies will start to get anxious on the ships since they aren't used to being in ships for long periods of time, unlike the soldiers. I do pity the Equestrians, since the other countries of the world are at a higher technological level than them. Our biggest concern though is if the Covenant find this place, we can't get every single living being off the planet.
we came here to hide from the Covenant, and both civilians and soldiers will fight for the planet and its inhabitants. While slavery is outlawed and frowned upon by the UEG and UNSC, having a hell bent technological advanced religious alien species trying to wipe out humanity is something that makes us forget about them and defend them, because they should never have to face what we had to fight for the last twenty-seven years.

It's been nearly a month since we arrived to Equis and a month since my husband and son stayed behind on Reach. It's been quiet without them and my daughter, Jennifer, decided to join the Marine Corps to help increase their numbers. Since the base needs nurses, I decided to join to keep myself occupied. The usual thing that us nurses get are construction workers coming to get help with cuts, kids coming in when they have a common cold or needs shots for the coming flu season.

With more and more former slaves coming in, I keep thinking 'what will happen if we run out of medical supplies?', but we'll cross that bridge once we get there.

It's almost been two months since we got here. The Covenant found Reach, our fortress world and the only planet before our home world, Earth, and two months since our parents were killed in New Alexandria. While the 'Everfree forest' as the natives call it, is like from earth, it started to creep the base inhabitants out. I keep wondering when we could get out of this damn forest, it's bad enough that we have to hide from the slavers, but living in this creepy forest makes me nervous for my sister, since she's the only family I have left.

It's been twenty one years, twenty one goddamn years since we’ve been floating through space. I can't get my mind off of my wife and daughter that were left on Reach. Even if they got off the planet, I doubt that they would think I'm alive. When I saw the planet, I thought it was Earth, but the inhabitants proved me wrong when I, along with Ellen Anders and ten Spartans, saw firsthand different species that came from mythology.
After two months being in this system, fourteen UNSC war ships and five civilian ships entered the system, one of them being a prowler. When we told the ONI agents about the situation, they sounded... pleased with this. I can't get stop feeling that they are going to do something in the future that will drag us in and possibly lead to a fight with the Equestrians. I just hope to God that we don't have to be dragged into another war, we have enough to worry about with the Covenant finding us.

Twilight cast a shield spell when the soldiers open fired on them. The noise was loud enough to wake everypony up in Ponyville and see what was happening. Some ponies had muskets or a lever action rifle in their homes and started to shoot at the armored soldiers.
The rounds bounce off the shields as the one with the brute shot turned to them and fired a round, causing most to run. Once they were left alone, the two chased them into Sweet Apple Acres, unaware that a certain dragon sent an emergency letter to Celestia.
In Canterlot
Celestia was in her room, reading a novel when a scroll appeared in front of her. She opened it as it came from Twilight. Once it was open she read the contents inside.
"Please send help! Two armored figures came out of nowhere and started to attack us!"
Even though the letter was short, it said everything. Celestia immediately got out of bed and changed into her royal outfit and ordered two guards to get Shining Armor and a battalion of guards. The two ran to the barracks after receiving their orders. Right now, Celestia prayed to her parents that Twilight wasn't hurt, or there will be hell to pay.
Back in Sweet Apple Acres
Twilight and The other two were able to hide in the orchard of apples as they heard the two figures’ footsteps. Matthew saw a rusty and rundown blade with a small grip on the end. He grabbed it and hid.
The white figure saw her and proceeded to walk towards her, until it stopped when a sharp pain entered its exposed knees as Matthew lodged the blade into his calf. Unfortunately, he was kicked in the ribs and was sent into a tree. A sickening crunch of bones was heard as two ribs were snapped in half and his arm broken into different pieces.
"Matthew!" yelled Twilight as she went to levitate the one who hit Matthew, only to fail at it. The steel colored figure grabbed Twilight by her throat and pulled her closer to her and pulled out a magnum.
"Sorry kid, but it's just orders," it said in a female voice. As she was about to pull the trigger, a golden beam hit her in the back, forcing her to drop Twilight.
"Stay away from my student!!" Celestia yelled as she saw her pupil was about to die.
The two knew the mission is now over, the one with EVA helmet growled at the other soldier.
"Are you serious!? We can take them on!" she said.
The man growled again as his A.I radioed her through his helmet.
"We have to abandon the mission. The ones who hired us told us if the Royal Guard interferes, we have to leave," the A.I said with a demonic echo in its voice.
The female knew that the A.I was right, so she grabbed a teleport grenade and tossed it at their feet and two seconds later, they were gone.
The Royal Guard started to scan the area for the assailants as Twilight and her friends ran to Matthew.
"Matthew, please be alive!" Twilight said as she checked his pulse and found that his heart was still beating, albeit it was slowing down. Twilight told Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash to take him to the hospital. The two Pegasi picked him up, slowly so they don't put him in more pain, and flew to the hospital.
Celestia was very, very pissed off. She could handle them attacking slavers and destroying buildings, but trying to kill her student was the breaking point.
"Captain." Shining Armor turned around to face Celestia. "I want you to send guards into Ponyville hospital and have guards searching the forest to find them," Celestia said with contained anger. Shining Armor saluted her and told two pegasus guards to head back to Canterlot to get reinforcements. They took the orders and flew back, unaware that they were about to wake a sleeping giant.
Seven hours later
All the soldiers in the base were now awake and doing whatever was available. Viper received a new pistol, R6M semi, which is supposed to replace the aging M6D magnum and has a bigger magazine capacity by double the amount of rounds
He also received a new rifle, the Vindicator Mk.1. It was a weapon that uses both the accuracy of a battle rifle and the firing rate of a smg with a sixty round mag. It also uses a chainsaw on the bottom and the trigger on the side, which made so it could cut through anything or anyone.
Viper was in the base firing range, testing them out when Callie radioed him to get something to eat.
"Callie, I'll be up in a couple of minutes," Viper said as he pulled his pistol.
"You need to eat. Your daughter is worried about you," Callie said as Viper sighed.
"I'm coming up now," he said as Viper placed the two weapons on their respective place with the other weapons.
Viper entered the elevator to the main base floor as he checked the pistol one last time. He noticed that an extra button was added. Curious, he pressed it and a floating reflex sight appears out of nowhere.
He turned it off as he reached his destination. Viper started to walk to the cafeteria, wanting to get a quick bite to eat and see his daughter.
Inside Rusty's room
Cadence was talking with Arachnia and Rusty about Shining Armor's action. She was apologizing multiple times as Rusty just stared at her.
"Why should I take your word for it? All I know is that you would go back on your promise and go back to that genocidal bast..." Rusty didn't get to finish his sentence when Cadence said something surprising to him.
"I'll call off the wedding if you want," Cadence said. Rusty and Arachnia were shocked to hear that she is willing to call the wedding off.
"Why would you do that?" Arachnia asked her.
"When you told me what Shining Armor did to your hive, I thought that you were lying until I asked the soldiers and they said the same thing about what happened. I don't want to be with somepony who hates other species for what they look like," Cadence said as she looked at the ground.
"Also, it was an arranged marriage," Cadence said.
"What?" Rusty asked.
"A couple of years ago, Prance and Equestria wanted to ensure that they won't go back on the treaty, so they had me and Shining Armor agree to have an arranged marriage so it would strengthen our trade and military, until Prance was attacked," she said as Rusty and Arachnia looked at each other as Arachnia said to her some words of comfort.
"While we forgive you, you'll have to earn our trust if you want to be our friends, deal?"
Cadence looked at them as she nodded. Arachnia smiled, while Rusty stared at her with an emotionless face. The three went to the cafeteria to eat, until they bumped into a male soldier with a cut on his throat.
The three looked at him until they shrugged it off and entered the cafeteria and saw Viper and his team, Chrysalis, Nightmare Moon, and Maria at a table.
Rusty and Cadence went to get a plate of food as Arachnia sat near her aunt. She noticed three missing bodies from the group.
"Where's Parker, Zecora, and Trixie?" She asked.
"Parker and Zecora picked up where they left off, if you catch my drift, and Trixie is helping Molly in the Nursery," Viper said as Arachnia couldn't help but blush at the thought of the two going at it last night.
Rusty and Cadence returned with a plate of food. Rusty’s was piled with pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns, and bacon, and Cadence having a fruit bowl and some eggs and toast.
"Anyone noticed that ONI disappeared last night?" Callie asked as she took a bite of her fluffy waffles.
"Yeah and good riddance to them!" Marcus said as he had an omelet and some hash browns.
"You know, Marcus, that if ONI leaves, then they fucked something up here," Blake said as he cleaned his plate of food.
Viper stopped eating since he thought of the possibility of ONI doing something that they would have to pay the price.
"If ONI did do something stupid, we need to tell the Colonel about it and start getting the young, sick, and elderly out of here before we have to pay for ONI stupidity," Viper said as his team agreed.
Back in Ponyville Hospital
Twilight was in Matthew's hospital room after the surgeons were able to save him, but was sleeping as Twilight ran her fingers through his hair.
Fluttershy knocked at the door as Twilight allowed her in.
"Hey Fluttershy," Twilight said in a sad tone as Fluttershy went near her.
"Twilight, I think that you need to rest. Myself and our friends are worried about you," Fluttershy said in a quiet voice.
"I can't leave Matthew like this. What if he wakes up and I'm somewhere else?" she said in a panicked tone.
"Twilight, you need to sleep. If he does wake up, I'll have Rainbow Dash go get you, OK?" Fluttershy said as Twilight nodded. She stood up and walked back to her home, unaware that the same figures were watching her.
Meanwhile with Rainbow Dash
Rainbow Dash was doing her regular routine to train with the Wonderbolts. As she was doing this, she saw a clearing in the middle of the Everfree forest and saw one of the UNSC bases in there and saw the same soldier that attacked Twilight.
She saw that most of the soldiers were outside or getting their gear on. She then immediately flew to Canterlot to tell Celestia.
Back at the base, three hours later
After telling the Colonel about their suspicions and evidence to support it, like ONI leaving no trace of them anywhere, when they would leave an agent behind, he ordered a base wide evacuation.
Viper and the Spartans, Red team, the Centurions and Hoplite, along with two battalion of Marines and a platoon of ODST, as they were waiting for any kind of attack.
Viper was happy that Nightmare Moon, Molly, his daughter, and the Cutie Mark Crusaders left a while ago. Rusty was sharpening his blade to the gravity hammer. Viper was about to radio the command center when a marine was shot in his throat.
"Take cover!" Viper said. All of them took cover behind various covers as they fired at the Royal Guard that arrived in numbers. The snipers had no problem picking them off, but were annoyed that they were using the forest. Viper killed three more when a unicorn came up behind him.
Viper activated the chainsaw and immediately cut the stallion in half, covering him in blood. They started to kill more, but for every Guard they killed, three took their place.
Viper heard cannon fire as the cannonballs hit the base or the civilians still inside. Some were able to get through the base wall and killing anyone inside.
Viper then grabbed some thermite grenades and started to throw them at the trees and burning them out, which killed many Royal Guards.
"Burn, motherfuckers!"
Right as they forced them back, they all heard a roar from above and saw a dozen of dragons flying towards them.
"Shit, we need to get back inside now!" One of the marines said as they ran into the base. Unfortunately, one ODST squad was burned to death when a dragon breathed fire onto them.
Viper hit the door control and had the entrance locked down. Viper knew that the doors wouldn't last long.
"Everybody head to the hanger. Move!" Marcus yelled as they ran like Satan himself was chasing them.
Most started to grab anything to slow down the Guards so they could get to the hanger. Unlucky for them, some civilians were still in the base, either stuck under debris from the cannon bombardment or helping the ones who were stuck.
"We need to get these civilians out now, we'll cover you," the Hoplite commander said as the marines and ODST were moving the rubble off of the trapped as the Spartans, Centurion, and Hoplite opened fire at the advancing Guards.
It took them a while, but they were able to get all of the ones who were trapped out and proceeded to head towards the hanger. There were fifteen pelicans left. The marines started to help the civilians as the rest started to pile crates on the door to slow them down.
When all the civilians were aboard, the rest ran to the pelicans, packing themselves like sardines as the door finally gave in. Viper and Rusty started to shoot at them, forcing most to take cover. As the pelicans took off into the air, a unicorn picked up a rocket launcher and fired a round at the back.
This caused the ship to dodge it, but it made Viper and Rusty lose their grip and hit the ground. The last thing they saw was Royal Guards surrounding them.
Meanwhile in the Banshee's call
Agent Talaway was happy that Viper and Rusty was captured and taken by the Royal Guards and the UNSC will want their blood. She was sitting in her office until she heard a knock.
"Come in," she said in a serious voice.
"It's been a while agent Talaway or Agent Arkansas," a voice that she hated the most said.
"Agent Carolina."

Chrysalis’ Hive, Badlands
Two hours after the attack of Alpha base.
The now refugees of the destruction of Alpha base were recovering from the attack, but with a price. Over four thousands lie dead, most were civilians, and two thousand wounded.
"My Queen, what are we to do with the human survivors?" asked one of the drones
Chrysalis looked around as UNSC medics and changeling doctors ran around, trying to save as many lives as possible.
"Send drones to the nearest cities and take any medical supplies," Chrysalis said as the drone left to give the orders.
Meanwhile in Canterlot
The Royal Guard were happy that they were able to knock the UNSC down a couple of pegs.
Spartan 626 could only glare murderously at his captors, having been stripped of his weapons and armor, he now was clad in the remains of his under-suit. "I'll kill you," he said in a hushed whisper which soon grew into a horrifying screaming chant.
Viper knew why they were there, but couldn't do anything until A) they break out or B) ONI's new 'pet’ shows itself. Until then, he trying to stay calm, calm being a loose term.
Viper was looking at the guard and noticed one thing that stuck out from the rest. The Guards would let Rusty to rant on and not do a thing, but this one poked him to see his reaction and the guard made a mistake, he has a wound on his hind leg, but he saw a metal piece sticking out before it healed like it wasn't there.
"Not so tough now, are you Monkey?!" the guard tormented as he jabbed at the Spartan two a few times. Rusty continued to try and lunge at his tormentors, but to no avail, was still unable to move and defend himself from the torture.
Before the Guard could do it again, he saw a flash of light behind him. He turned around, only to be stabbed by Viper. Hell jumper toothpick, a 12" blade made out of diamonds and obsidian glass, that was kept in his leg, thanks to a little room in the under-suit.
Viper then decided to cut the dead Guard to see what he was, only to make a disturbing discovery, the guard’s bones were metal and had wires in his spine and through his limbs, like a Spartan 2.
Rusty hung there, staring at the corpse of the dead guard. "What. The. Fuck!?" he said, still staring.
Viper opened Rusty’s cell and removed the chains and metal cuffs
He then heard the door open and turned to see six more 'Spartan' ponies.
"You have no idea what kind of trouble you're in, hehehe," the leader said as Viper used what's left of his magic to summon their melee weapons.
Rusty wasn't afraid of his own death, especially at the hands of these primitive xeno equines called ponies. He feared being forgotten and not being remembered.
The six augmented ponies ran towards them as the two Spartans did as well. Since they never had an actual war in their time, they couldn't predict their movement, but compensated with their magic.
The Spartan III dodged the first pony as his fellow Spartan II followed up with a powerful bone crushing clothesline to the first stallion, easily killing the pony.
Two unicorns summoned their new swords made out of titanium and attacked Viper. Unfortunately for them, he received training with knives by Fred-104 and training with his katana by a former samurai, before his mentor was killed, so Viper made short work of them.
As Viper cut the head off the last one, he and Rusty ran to where their armor and weapons were, but as they turned a corner, he saw an agent that made him smile.
"Hello, agent Carolina," Viper said as Carolina walked towards him.
"Hello, agent Arizona. It's been a long time," she said
"Yeah, it's been," Viper said as Rusty cleared his throat.
"Right, we need to leave," Viper said.
"Follow me, then," Carolina said.
"How did you find us?" Rusty asked.
"Easy. Just follow the obvious tracks of dragged Spartan armor," Carolina said as they stopped in a room.
"Your armor is in there, you might want to get suited up," Carolina said as she radioed the frigate that they had 'taken', the Mother of Invention, for a pick up.
Ten minutes later
Viper and Rusty were armored up and had their weapons ready. As Viper and Rusty got their weapons ready, Carolina said to them, "I called for extraction. We have five minutes to get to the edge of the city," Carolina said as she pulled out two smgs.
As soon as Viper kicked the door, all three shot at any Royal Guards between them and their EZ.
Carolina was hitting them in the chest, leaving small holes in their chest, while Rusty smashed any ponies that got in their way. Viper was cutting anything that wasn't human as they made it halfway to the extraction zone.
As they were halfway, the Royal Guards set up barricades to slow down the three so they miss their way out. Rusty solved that problem by charging his gravity hammer until they reached the barricades and hitting them, killing all behind it.
"Dammit Wyoming, where the hell are you guys?!" Carolina screamed over the comms as they were close to the EZ.
"We're almost there, just give us a minute," Wyoming said.
"You got thirty seconds," Carolina said.
As they reached the extraction point, they were trapped by hundreds of Guards.
"Drop your weapons or we will open fire!" one of them said.
The three put their weapons back on as they all jumped off the edge. The Royal Guards looked over the edge with shock on their face, but was soon replaced with anger as a pelican floated in front of them, with Carolina, Viper, and Rusty in the back.
The pelican immediately high tailed it to orbit, where nopony could get them.
Four hours later, Chrysalis’ hive
After being released from the Summer Solstice, since the technicians wanted to make sure that the armor wasn't exposed, they head back to the temporary base. Once they got there, it was a mess.
Most of the civilians were crying or comforting others. Medics working nonstop, trying to save all the lives that were injured, and soldiers with anger sketched on their faces.
Viper was able to meet his team in one of the rooms near the entrance.
"Can't believe they did that to us," Callie said as she looked out the door.
"I say we go and do the same," Luke said as the others looked at him.
"Are you insane? Right now we should stay here, just in case if those fucktards come back," Blake said. As they all were talking, they heard a knock on the door and saw Dr. Anders standing there.
"Hello, Dr. Anders, what brought you here?" Brandon said as Anders entered the room.
"I need you all to come with me," Anders said as she left and made them confused, but listened anyway. Once they followed her, the ten noticed something familiar about the room.
"Wait a minute, this is the augmentation room, but what do you need us to do?" Andrew asked as he looked at the needles with a bit of fear.
"Because, yesterday we found a way to give Spartan three augmentation to have the strength, speed and reflex of three Spartan twos," Anders said as they all looked at her, shocked.
"What?!" They all yelled.
After some more information about how they achieved them, via forerunner technology, which they dubbed Project: Olympus, they started to strip to their undergarments until Anders told them one more thing.
"Also, you need to choose new armor, since your original armor won't handle your new augmentation."
They all looked at each other with worry, since they had the armor on for eight years. But eventually, they choose their new armor.
Viper chose a Venator with a collapsible helmet, hidden blades in the wrist, an enhancer in the gauntlet to increase his magic so he could use it in firefights and a grappling hook.
Marcus has the FOTUS armor with hidden blades and an auto sentry, with makes a small drone that defends an area until it dies or the user loses energy.
Brandon picked the Hazop armor with a jump kit and thruster pack, which helps him get to hard to reach places.
Callie has her old armor, but upgraded and has a healing bubble that produces nanomites to repair injuries and a poison blade.
Blake’s armor is the Infiltrator with cloak, since he is the team spy, and grappling hook to grab unfortunate enemies or for distraction.
Jaeden’s armor is the Scanner with Promethean vision and jet pack, helping him if they are in a low visibility area.
Alex uses a Commando armor with improved energy shield and armor lock, since he is the team’s main demolition man.
Ryan chose the Scout armor, along with a hologram and a faster shield regeneration, so he doesn't risk getting hurt.
Luke had the E.O.D with improved shields, and hardlight shield, so he could help a teammate out.
Andrew chose an Orbital armor, and has an explosive dart gun in his wrist, so that any armored personnel are killed instantly.
Rusty, who arrived a little late, received the Mk.VII armor, with plasma wrist blades, claws on the gauntlets, built-in bear mace dispenser in the side of the helmet and standard jet pack.
They found out that Rusty, after augmentation, will be strong as six Spartan twos. Once their armor was ordered, with each one having an exo suit in it, they started to put themselves on the table where their Spartan career began.
They had oxygen masks put on them so they don't die from lack of air. They all heard the drilling noise of the needles spinning as it punctured their skin and then their body started to feel the effects of the augmentation. Even though it felt like hours, it only lasted ten minutes, but the amount of pain they felt was unbearable. It felt like the first time they received their augmentation
After that, they all stood up, only to make a shocking discovery, they were as tall as Spartan twos, except for Viper and Rusty, who were three inches taller.
After that, they were told to take it easy, since the augmentations were still taking effect.
"God dammit this hurts," Luke said as he walked into the room and plopped onto a chair.
"You got that right," Andrew said as he used the wall to support himself.
Most of the team were in their room as Viper went to talk to some old friends.
"Hey, Wyoming, North and South, York, Wash," Viper said as he sat on a bench.
"What the hell happened here? I mean you’ve done stupid things, but this takes the cake," North said. Viper started to tell them what happened, from start to finish. Once he was done, they gave him all different looks.
"So this place basically came from a girl TV show five hundred years ago?" North asked. Viper nodded.
"And you're a former slave?" Carolina asked. Viper nodded again.
"Guess you aren't lying," Wash said as Delta popped up.
"Sorry to interrupt, but he has unknown material in his body, most likely from augmentation," Delta said as Viper spoke.
"It's actually magic, see?" Viper said as he summoned his katana from thin air. The six all went into a state of shock and awe. Until theta came out.
"Uhh, guys, who is he?"
"He was one of us, until the Director had him removed from the program," Wyoming said.
"Why are you guys here?" Viper asked.
"We're looking for Agent Maine and Texas. We killed them a while back, but they somehow escaped death and hid from us," York said. Viper got a text from his team via tablet.
"Hold on, I need to go see my team. Give me a bit if time," Viper said as he went to his team.
"Hey guys, what did you n..." Viper didn't finish as he grabbed his pistol and pointed at the unknown figure.
"Who the hell are you?!" Viper asked the unknown figure.
"Who am I? I'm Discord, God of Chaos!" the figure said.

October 17, 2552 1500
It's been half an hour since Discord showed himself to the UNSC. Right now, he was talking to Viper in the throne room of Chrysalis’ hive.
"Discord, we don't even know we can trust you. What if you're working with Celestia to find this place?" Viper said as Discord was drinking chocolate milk from a cup.
"I would rather be turned back to stone rather than help Celestia. I actually want to thank you for freeing me from my prison." Discord said.
"What?" Carolina asked.
"Oh, when you and that other Spartan, what was his name, 'Rusty'? Anyway, you two and him caused enough Chaos to help me break out of my prison." Discord said as he conjured another cup of chocolate milk.
"So what? You're going to cause chaos around the world?" Carolina said.
"Well actually, I could help you in your situation that you're in."he said
"How could you do that?" Viper asked.
"Well, I could sneak into the Royal Guard barracks and find what they are planning and find which city has the least amount of Guards in them and I could help you out from time to time." Discord said.
Viper and Carolina were looking at each other. On one hand, they were talking to the Spirit of Chaos himself and doesn't look like the type to keep his promise. On the other hand, he could prove a useful ally to them and get the upper hand in this.
"You better keep your word or I'll make sure you wish you were turned back to stone." Viper said as he shook Discords hand.
"Great! Now if you would excuse me, I have some spying to do." Discord said before disappearing.
"So we have a nutjob of a Chaos spirit and a pony subspecies that could change themselves to any one of those ponies. So now what?" Carolina asked Viper.
"Now, we cut off the head of the snake," Viper said as he went back to his room.
October 18, 2552
It's been a day since Discord allied with the UNSC. Now Viper and his team were about to go get their armor, until Parker showed up.
"Parker, why are you here?" Viper asked as Parker handed him papers. Viper looked through it and smiled once he was done.
"Welcome to the squad." Viper said as he and Parker shook hands.
As the eleven went to the armor suiting room, since Chrysalis gave them an extra room to build it, and entered. They took their respective place where their armor was placed. Once they all put their feet on the ground near the mechanical arms, it locked them in place as the armor started to assemble on them.
They were then lifted off the ground and started to attach the back and front plating of their armor. As the gauntlets were attached, the ten had their helmet put on as Viper’s helmet was inside his armor.
After that, they were put in the ground as Anders appeared in front of them.
"Jeez, this armor is light. What did you say this was made of?" Parker asked from his C.I.C helmet speakers.
"Your armor is made from class 14 forerunner combat skins, which should take up to fifteen tank rounds and that's just the shields. Your main armor has a forerunner gel inside that nothing short of the MORS sniper rifle could penetrate it. And your energy pack that is powerful enough to charge Manhattan from the twenty first century for two hundred years." Anders said as the team were shocked about this.
"The Spartan two has a class 15 forerunner combat skin and a slightly stronger armor." Anders said as Discord popped up in front of them.
"Great news! Captain Shining Armor is heading to Trottingham to find the ones responsible for all the chaos there." he said as Viper looked at him.
"When you mean someone, you mean you?" Viper asked.
"Well I am the Spirit of Chaos, so what would you expect?" Discord said.
"OK. Marcus I need you to ask Chrysalis to send changelings to help us with this, while we go to Trottingham." Viper said as Marcus nodded and went to see his marefriend and the team went up top to the landing zone.
Meanwhile in Trottingham
Shining Armor was walking through the partially destroyed city, along with a platoon of Guards with him.
"Be safe Shining Armor." Twilight said over the radio that was taken from the destroyed Alpha base. Shining was also using a camera that his little sister made so they could see everything he sees.
"Don't worry Twily, nothing dangerous here, and make sure mom doesn't freak out by this." he said as they saw nothing but deserted buildings.
"Shining, Celestia asked on how your progress is going?" Twilight asked.
"Nopony here, just the ruined buildings and birds." Shining said as he held his grip on the Vindicator rifle he found.
"Looks like nothing here. We should head back to Canterlot." what he didn't know was he wasn't going to make it back to Canterlot.
"Call in the 'Pelican'." Shining said, the Pelican word leaving his mouth, since he wasn't use to calling it that.
One of the Corporals sent a letter to the ones flying the Pelican for a pickup. Five minutes later, the Pelican was in view. But on the ground, changelings, armed with weapons from the UNSC, were running towards Shining Armor’s location and hiding behind debris.
On a rooftop, Viper’s team armed with rocket launchers were aiming at the stolen dropship. Once they got lock on, they fired the rockets at the ship. Most of them hit the back engine, and two hitting the cockpit, causing it to crash. Shining Armor and his platoon moved out of the way, separating them.
"Shining, what happened?" Twilight asked.
"Changelings are attacking us. They're flanking behind us!" Shining said as he shot the changelings in front of him, unaware of who was behind him. Rusty with his helmet off, was approaching Shining Armor without him knowing.
Shining put another clip in, as more changelings started to appear. As he killed a couple more changelings, he heard one of his men shouting to him.
"Captain, behind you!"
He turned around to see Rusty walking up to him. He pointed his rifle at him, only to hear clicking from it, telling him that it was empty. He started the chainsaw bayonet and went to cut him in half, only for Rusty to stop it from hitting him, and yanking it out of his hands.
Rusty then proceeded to kick Shining in the chest and made him fly six feet backwards. He tossed the rifle away as the pony in front of him grabbed a pistol, but he grabbed his neck and lifted him in the air.
In Canterlot, Twilight was watching her brother lifted into the air by the same person who tried to kill her yesterday. They saw him activate a blue blade from his wrist as Shining Armor was trying to break free of his grip.
But as he was wriggling free, Rusty stabbed him in the abdomen, causing Shining Armor to yell out in pain and coughed up blood and onto Rusty’s face, before he pushed the blade deeper into him.
Before Shining Armor died, however, Rusty pulled him towards him and said to him.
"This is for Arachnia’s mother and her hive, you bastard."
After that, Shining went limp as he finally died from blood loss. Rusty then deactivated his blade and tossed his corpse away from him. Eventually, all the surviving Guards surrendered to the UNSC. This was the first blow that they dealt against Equestria and it was a major blow.
In Canterlot
Twilight was crying since her older brother, her BBBFF, was now dead. Spike and her parents were comforting her as Celestia had a serious expression on her face. Not only did she lose her Captain of her Guards, but now that they just started a war with them.
"Corporal, send out letters to every city to have their guards on standby and have the rest of the reserves." Celestia said to the Corporal in the room. He saluted her and left to have retrieve a pegasus courier to send the orders.
In Chrysalis’ hive
The entire hive was now cheering that Shining Armor was now dead. Viper knew that they started a war with them and they need resources or they won't last long.
When he returned to his team room, he saw Ryam undressing Discord’s daughter, Eris, who was kissing him. Viper closed the door as a blush was growing on his face. Viper decided to head towards his room.
Once he got there, Viper saw Nightmare Moon and Molestia on his bed with smiles on their faces.
"Uhhh, why are you smiling like that?" Viper asked. Nightmare Moon stood up and walked to him.
"Because, Viper, we're pregnant," she said.
The last thing that Viper heard before passing out.

I can't believe what happened. One moment we were evacuating civilians, the next the entire base started to fall apart right on top of us.
I tried to get to my mother's room, but by the time I did, the entire section where she was at was now covered by the base roof. I looked to the ground and saw her hand, along with a family picture of me, my parents, and older brother.
I grabbed the picture as we ran back to the hangar before the base collapsed on us. We all piled into the pelicans before they lifted off. I was silently crying because I couldn't tell my mom that she was about to be a grandmother.

I can't believe that those 'Royal' Guard would attack civilians, I mean civilians for Christ’s sake! What they did was a coward's move, since they didn't have the balls to fight the Marines and ODST head-on.
They didn't show any mercy. They killed innocent civilians and my daughter, the only family I have left! She's my last child, since my other two stayed behind on Reach, and now she's dead!
They need to pay for this. Unfortunately higher ups won't let us retaliate. Bunch of useless bastards I say. I'm taking nine other soldiers, along with some 'Willy Pete' mortar rounds and showing them whose boss.

We struck the first blow against the Royal Guards by killing their leader, Captain Shining Armor. He deserved it. That bastard killed an entire hive of changelings, and most were either newborns or just barely toddlers.
Speaking of kids, I found out that Nightmare Moon and Molestia are pregnant. Nightmare carrying twins and Molestia is carrying one. I was woken up a few hours after I passed out with Nightmare Moon and Molestia by my side on the bed.
I just hope that my kids don't have to live in a war zone, like most of us did in the war we're fighting in. I'm willing to do anything to give them a future without any fear or them hiding, and I mean anything.

It's been a day since we arrived to the planet and already Meta and Texas already fucked shit up here. Apparently they tried to kill one of the rulers of Equestria, Princess Celestia, and student Twilight Sparkle. Now they are in hiding, most likely waiting to come out of hiding to kill us.
What makes the situation that we're currently in is why do they want them to make the ponies and us fight each other? Then I realized something. They want their biggest threat occupied while they go on their own agenda, but why? Maybe there's something that we don't know, but there is one thing that we know.
Texas and Meta are going to pay for what they did to the other forty two members of the freelancer program and what they did here. This is Former Freelancer Agent Washington logging off.

Forerunner Facility and A Siege
October 19th, 2552, 0800 hours
Location: Northern Equestria
Viper and the six Freelancer Agents were escorting Ellen Anders to, what she believed, is an underground forerunner facility.
"Okay, of all places, why do we have to be here?!" Washington complained as they started to walk to the known area of the entrance to the ancient facility.
"Because, Wash, Dr. Anders said that this facility could contain materials needed to give our ships a serious edge against the Covenant," Wyoming said as he held the MORS sniper rifle.
"So, Wyoming, how's the sniper working for you?" North asked.
"While it is taking me a while to get use to the single round, I was able to get around it eventually," Wyoming said.
"Hold up. Anders found something," Carolina said as Anders looked at a hand held machine, stolen from the Covenant, that finds forerunner technology on any planet. The machine started to pick up forerunner energy right below their feet.
"Spirit of Fire, this is York, do you read?" York asked over the radio.
"This is the Spirit of Fire, go ahead," the comms officer said.
"We've found the forerunner facility, requesting a firebase to be built near these coordinates," York said as Delta sent their location to the comms officer.
"Coordinates received. A firebase will be placed near the location in about an hour, standby," the officer said before disconnecting the line.
"So what are we going to do for an hour?" South asked.
"Now, we find a way in," Viper said as he started to grab thermite bombs from a forerunner storage cube and placed them in the snow
Meanwhile in the Appleoosian desert
Eleven figures were riding in Mongooses as to hide their presence from the pegasi that flew over them. But one individual stuck out from the rest. The individual was wearing the HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL Mark I Prototype Armor Defense System or "Beowulf" Armor Defense System as he ran through the desert at high speed.
The ten soldiers were armed with White Phosphorus filled mortars. The "Beowulf" pilot saw the military base that they were going to hit, so he ordered the Marines to stop.
"You six, start setting up the mortars," the pilot said in a distorted male voice. "And the rest of you follow me, we got a score to settle."
The six soldiers started to set up the mortars as the five started to walk towards the military base. As the Beowulf Pilot got to the front entrance, he kicked the large doors in, causing them to fly off of the hinges as it crushed a couple Royal Guards behind them.
The Guards started to open fire at the group, some armed with machine guns from the destroyed Alpha Base, but since the four UNSC soldiers had level eight forerunner combat skin and shielding, while the pilot had level fourteen, the rounds bounced off them like a BB-gun against a brick wall as they started to slaughter everypony that wore the Royal Guard armor.
The new and improved gatling gun on the Beowulf armor is capable of being used with one hand, freeing the other for the use of the 105mm cannon on the other hand. The pilot was mowing down waves after waves of ponies, most having their body parts blown off, their insides spilling out or just having been riddled with bullets, while the unfortunate ones were blown to bits by either the cannon or the rocket launcher on its shoulder.
The four Marines were executing the surviving guards by either slitting their throats or shooting them in the back of the head. Fortunately for the Equestrian Guards, their attackers seem to be backing off, giving them time to regroup, until one of them heard whistling and looked up.
Before any of them could register what was happening, the mortars’ shells exploded, releasing its deadly payload. The white phosphorus started to burn violently in the affected area, burning the guards until their muscles and/or bones started showing.
The temperature was so hot, that their own armor started to heat up, adding more agony to them.
After ten minutes of the mortars firing, they stopped as the soldiers started to walk through the corpses of the dead Royal Guards, only to make a very gruesome discovery.
The crew firing the white phosphorus filled mortars hit civilians that were apparently refugees from the fall of Prance and it showed the seven men the civilian ponies that failed to hide from the destructive chemical radius.
"Damn it, Hoffman, why did you target the civilians?!" the leader of the attack said over the radio.
The four removed their helmets to throw up their contents of their stomachs onto the ground. While that was happening, the pilot looked at the corpses of the ponies killed by the volatile chemicals. He saw them running away, some on the ground, but what got to him the most was parents holding their children before they died.
"Dammit, do any of you hear what I just said?!" the leader yelled. After a minute, he received his answer, in the form of a titanium slug round hitting him in the chest, killing him almost instantly.
"Get to cover!" one of the Marines said as they hid behind debris.
"What the hell was that?! Was one of our own?!" the second Marine asked.
"Look, we don't know what's happening, but we need to get out of he..." The soldier didn't finish his sentence when another slug round ripped through his armor and shields, hitting his neck, decapitating him.
"We need to leave now!!!" one of the two surviving Marines said before running away from the sniper, until they both were filled with 20mm rounds, leaving them riddled with holes.
The Beowulf Pilot put down his minigun as he radioed someone.
"It's done, there's no witnesses alive."
"Excellent, return back to base when you receive one of the marines’ bodies to 'convince' the UNSC that it was the Equestrians doing. Oh, and Rusty?" the voice said to him.
"Yes?" Rusty asked.
"Your debt has been paid. Arachnia and Trixie will not be touched in any shape or form. Now head back to the makeshift base," the voice said as it disconnected the line.
Rusty grabbed a marine body before leaving the decimated base, but before thinking this.
'I'm sorry.'
At the forerunner facility, hours later
After hours of burning through the near infinite amount of snow, they found a way in. Earlier, a firebase was built near the hole.
Viper, Carolina, and Anders went down, while the rest stayed behind.
"Man, and I thought that Church was going insane, talking about an ancient civilization," Carolina said as Viper nodded.
'Come on, when are you going to tell them about me?' an A.I voice said in Vipers' helmet.
"I will, when the time is right. So shut it, Alpha. We got work to do," Viper hissed to him.
'Fine, Dickbiscuit,' Alpha said, whispering the last part, before going back into his A.I chip.
Viper and Carolina were watching every corner for anything that is trying to kill them. After 15 minutes of searching, they found a room, filled with what looked like cryo tubes.
"Hey, Anders, what is this place?" Viper asked.
"I believe this was a cryo room, similar to ours, but more advanced," Anders said. Viper and Carolina started look at the machine panel, but most would come up empty.
After searching through the cryo tubes, they were about to leave, until Viper saw two more near the back.
"Hold on, I see two more," Viper said as he walked towards it. He noticed that the cryo tubes were active, unlike the others. Viper then started to hit some codes from Anders. Once he entered it, the pods emitted a micro slipspace rupture, where Viper looked inside to see the occupants, only to be surprised.

A Reunion (part 1), A Fleet's Arrival and Unexpected Allies
October 19th, 2552, 1400 hours
Viper looked at the two figures in shock as he got a good look at them. The female Earth Pony had light brown fur color and Apple Bloom's mane, but a bit more on the red side. The male Earth Pony looked like Applejack, if you replaced her mane and tail with Big Macareina’s fur color. The two wore outfits that showed they were farmers.
"Uhh... what happened?" the mare asked in a southern accent as she started to look around and started to freak out.
"Where are we!?" she yelled as the stallion looked around, until he saw the mare.
"Orchid Star, are you alright?" the stallion asked in an equally southern accent as Orchid Star immediately hugged him.
"I am, Apple Specter, but I don't know where we are," she replied as the two saw Viper standing right in front of them.
"Who are you and what do you want with us?" Specter yelled as the two stared at the large being in front of them. The two started to shake in fear as Viper began to walk towards them.
"Stay back, I'm warning you!" Specter yelled as he was in a kicking position as he pushed his wife behind his back. Apple Specter was about to kick until the tall armored being in front of him pressed a button on its neck and its helmet started to fold inside the armor and the two gasped at who they saw as the helmet completely went into the armor.
"Viper... is that you?" Orchid Star asked as tears started to form in her eyes. Viper didn't do anything but nod as she ran to him and hugged him, albeit due to his 7'6" height and her being 6'3", she was only able to hug his lower chest, but she didn't care.
"We thought you died," she said between sobs as Viper wrapped his arms slowly around her as he comforted her.
"Sweet Celestia, Viper, what happened to you?" Apple Specter asked Viper as the man in question started to form different answers until his train of thought was interrupted by Apple Specter.
"You know what? I don't really care, I'm happy that you're here, whatever this place is," Specter said as he looked around the room.
"Where are we exactly?" Orchid asked as Viper was about to give an answer until another voice with a slight British accent spoke.
"You're in forerunner facility number 17 of this solar system, now tell me, why are you in he... Oh, a reclaimer!" A bulbous floating object with a green light started to head towards the three as Viper readied his pistol.
"Please, reclaimer, I mean no harm!" the floating ball said as the green light lit up slightly as it 'spoke'.
"Who the hell are you?" Viper growled as his voice scared Apple Specter and Orchid Star. Viper's voice, to them, sounded he gargled glass before speaking.
"Oh, pardon me Reclaimer, I'm Melancholy Object, monitor of Forerunner facility 17 on the planet Equis, third planet from the..." Melancholy Object was saying all of the information about him, until Viper stopped him.
"I know all of that. I'm wondering why you are here and why were they here?" Viper asked, a bit annoyed at Melancholy’s talking.
"Sorry Reclaimer! I was created by my makers to watch over the inhabitants of the planet. As for the second question, these two were near death when I found them. I had them filled with nanomites to repair their damaged organs and placed them into cryosleep," Object said as Viper took it all in.
"Another question, why are there humans on this planet, when most were from Earth?" Viper asked. Before Melancholy could answer, Viper got a comm officer from the UNSC Spirit of Fire. He transformed his helmet as he listened to the comms officer.
"Commander Viper, Captain Cutter wants you and Dr. Anders to meet him on the Spirit of Fire."
"Copy that, Viper out." Viper cut off the link as he looked at Apple Specter and Orchid Star, along with Melancholy Object.
"I just received orders that I, along with Dr. Anders, have to return to the Spirit of Fire for a meeting. Do you want to go with me?" Viper explained as he asked the two ponies in front of him. Apple Specter looked at his wife as she nodded to him.
"We'll go with you," Apple Specter said as Melancholy Object said he would go as well. As they agreed, Viper started to escort them back to the surface.
Meanwhile in Canterlot
Celestia, along with her sister, sat on their thrones in the throne room with most of the Canterlot's elite nobles when four Royal Guards, two being bandaged up, had entered the room.
"Your majesties," the guard stallion said bowing to the two alicorns.
"Your majesties, something terrible happened in the Appleloosa military base," the first one said
"What has happened?" asked Princess Luna, her face now full of concern.
"They attacked the base, only these two got out," the second Guard said.
"Who attacked our base?" Celestia asked.
"The humans, they attacked us without any warning and killed everypony without mercy," one of the surviving Guards, who had a gauze wrapped over his forehead, said.
"What?!" the two mares shouted.
"They killed every single pony that was wearing guard armor or carrying a weapon of any kind," the second survivor, a mare Pegasus with her arm in a cast, said as she remembered how they didn't even stand a chance against them.
"How many where there?" Luna asked.
"Just five," the stallion said.
"Five? I think they are a bit overconfident in that attack," Luna said.
"We know that it was five, but the fifth one was...was something else. We’ve seen those Spartans, and their troops, but that, thing, tore right through us like we weren't there, and those Marines had armor or something that stopped their own weapons," the mare stated, her voice shaking as she remembered how the giant figure started to fire its weapons at the horde of Royal Guards, killing most of them and leaving the rest wounded
Celestia and Luna went wide eyed as the Nobles started to talk amongst each other.
"Was that all, Corporal?" Celestia asked, hoping that it was the last of it. Unfortunately, there was one detail left.
"No, Princess. After they started to attack, they left the base. We thought we could set a counterattack, but we never got a chance. Right as soon we got ready, we started to hear whistling in the air, then the air and ground started to burn with a white fading fog over it. The flames started to burn the Guards inside the blast radius to the point their own bones would show. Their flesh and muscles were burned off, like a dragon set them ablaze. We were outside the blast radius. We ran back to the town as fast as possible, but as we did, we saw the bombs hitting the refugee camps inside the base as well. Nothing survived," the now shaky mare said, tears threatening to spill out of her eyes.
After she finished that, the entire room started to feel hotter, as Celestia started to become angrier at the news and the gall that the UNSC, the humans, would kill her and her sister’s subjects, and get away from it.
"Sergeant," Celestia started to speak with contained anger that sounded like it wanted out. "I want you to send every Royal Guard Barracks a message to meet at Ponyville in the next twenty four hours, is that understood?"
"Y-yes, your majesty," the Guard said as he left as quickly as possible, not wanting to be a victim of Celestia’s rage. Now the UNSC and Equestria are going to war, and nothing can stop it.
Back on the Spirit of Fire, thirty minutes later
Viper, along with Apple Specter, Orchid Star, Dr.Anders, and Melancholy Object, were back on the Spirit of Fire, but earlier before, he had two Pelicans go pick up his team, his herd mates, his daughter and the CMC, but had Apple Bloom blindfolded, along with Apple Specter and Orchid Star.
The two ponies were beyond shocked when they found out they were going to space, something that was impossible for their species, but not for the UNSC. Melancholy Object was more curious in how far humanity gotten on the 'Technological Achievement Tier' scale, from what Viper heard from Object muttering.
"Why do we have to wear these blindfolds again, Viper?" Orchid Star asked as they started to walk to where the two Pelicans are at in the hanger.
"It's a surprise, trust me," Viper told them as he saw Callie, with Apple Bloom in front of her. As Viper got the two in position, some Marines decided to start their built-in camera on their helmets to record the scene, as everyone in the hanger in the room started to form a circle around them.
"On the count of three, we remove their blindfolds. Ready?" Viper said, via helmet radio, to Callie as he started to count.
"One, two, three!"
As Viper reached three, he and Callie removed the blindfolds and the two parents gasped as they saw their youngest child in front of them. The three didn't move for two whole minutes, until Apple Bloom ran up to them and hugged both of them, in which her parents hugged her back.
The three started to cry, as Apple Bloom was finally reunited with her once thought dead parents. As the three had their small reunion, the soldiers surrounding them either smiled or shed a single tear, as most of them lost their families and friends to the Covenant.
As the group watched the three, Viper cleared his throat, catching everyone's attention.
"While this is a very heartwarming scene, I think they should be given room, don't you think?" Viper asked. The soldiers and other military personnel started to go back to what they were doing, as Apple Bloom released her hug from her parents.
"Now that's over with, I want you to meet my team," Viper said as Callie, Marcus, Blake, Brandon, Luke, Alex, Jaeden, Andrew, Ryan, and Parker were in attention behind him.
"The first two are my second and third in command, Callie and Marcus." The two mentioned Spartans waved. "Next is the sniper and weapons expert, Brandon and Blake. The next three are Luke, Alex and our grenadier, Jaeden. The next two are my demolition and hacking team, Andrew and Ryan. And the last one is a former ODST and Centurion, Parker."
Apple Specter and Orchid Star looked at the ten soldiers, looking as they (excluding Parker) were as tall as Celestia herself.
"What are they?" Apple Specter asked.
"They, along with me, are super soldiers known as Spartans," Viper replied to Apple Specter’s question.
"Wait, you're saying that you are a soldier, but why?" Orchid asked.
"Well, after I 'disappeared' from Equis, I was taken in by a rich couple and raised by them for two years, until the Covenant attacked and killed them and I was taken off world. After that, I was filled with anger and rage, I joined the Spartan three program and at the age of fourteen, I was given my augmentation and armor before being sent out to fight," Viper told them as he remembered every single detail about the program, including the argument with Colonel Ackerson about a certain someone in the program.
"But, why join when you could have gone somewhere else?" Specter asked again.
"I had nowhere to go, or anyone to go to, so what was I supposed to do, hide?" Viper explained, sadness and sorrow filling him, but before the two could ask any more questions, they noticed a familiar flowing mane that looked like the night sky behind Viper's team. As they looked, they were immediately alarmed as only one pony had that mane.
"Get behind me!" Apple Specter said to his wife and child as Nightmare Moon made her presence known.
"Calm down, she or her sister aren't here to wreak havoc on us, and yes, she has a sister. I actually brought them to tell you something," Viper told them as Molestia made herself known as well.
"I've called them here because... they are pregnant with my children and are my herd mates," Viper told them as Apple Specter and Orchid Star were shocked that Viper, the person that they would call son, is a super soldier and have the two most known legends that were thought of as myth, as herd mates.
"Also, before I forget, here's my daughter and, in extension, your granddaughter, Maria," Viper said as he picked up his four year old daughter. What happened scared the Spartans and the two alicorns. Orchid Star ran towards Viper and his daughter, at speed only Kelly-087 could achieve, as she grabbed her and started to hug her.
"Guess she took that well," Viper said as he watched Orchid Star cuddle with his daughter. But as they all watched the scene, the klaxon alarms started as pilots started to run to the Longsword, Broadsword, Sabers and Hornets.
"Hey, what the hel... heck is happening?" Blake asked a pilot, curbing his language because of a child.
"Slipspace probes picked up thirty two possible Covenant ships that are about to enter the system. All the cruisers and frigates are moving to a defensive position and all fighters are to protect those ships," a pilot told the Spartan as he entered the Broadsword.
Viper looked at his team before heading to a Hornet. But as he entered the cockpit, he heard knocking on the window. Viper turned and saw Scootaloo, dressed up in her pilot outfit.
"Scootaloo, what are you doing?" Viper asked.
"I'm going with you!" Scootaloo said happily.
That started alarms in his head.
"No, there's no way you're going to enter this ship!" Viper told the young Pegasus filly sternly. Scootaloo had a frown on her face.
"Why not?" She whined.
"Because, this is a real fight, not those flight checks we do, people die in fights, especially when live ammunition is used," Viper explained to her, but she didn't move.
"I want to come with!" Scootaloo yelled.
"You're not coming with, you know why? I am a soldier, who had eight years of combat under my belt, my entire life ruined and nothing else for me and you are a nine year old child who has her entire life ahead of her, and want to throw it away? I think not. My decision is final, you are not coming with," Viper said as he started to prep the fighter as he heard Scootaloo yell something at him, something that would hit home.
"Fine, then I hate you! I never want to see you again!" Scootaloo screamed in anger, as she removed her helmet and tossed it to the side of the hanger.
Viper couldn't help but shed a tear, as he completed his system check and headed towards the twelve ships that are forming a defensive line beyond Equis moon.
Viper got a good look at the fighters that are with the ships. He counted at least a hundred Longsword interceptor/bombers, possibly outfitted with Shiva-nukes, two hundred Broadsword fighters, about half the amount in Sabres, and fifty Hornets. With that, he counted at the most of four hundred and fifty fighters, no doubt half came from the different launch stations on various moons or established bases on Equis.
'This is barely a fighting force when it came to defending colonies. Every naval battle there would have been at least over thirty ships and ten times that of fighters and still we would lose.' Viper thought as he then connected to the ship and fighters communication system as he started to relay orders.
"All Longswords, your objective is to deliver your payload to the Covenant ships, aim for the engines or the center of the ship, that's where the bridge is located, if not, knock out their shields to give the frigates and cruisers a shot to destroy them. All Broadswords escort the bombers or we'll have a harder time taking them out. Sabres, engage any fighters or boarding craft that attempt to attack the ships and all Hornets, draw any flak from the Corvettes or battlecruisers," Viper told the ragtag fleet.
As soon as his orders were relayed, two Broadswords went with one Longsword bomber and the Sabres were flying around the twelve ships and the Hornets broke into groups of ten, each prepping their mini drones for the inevitable fight.
Viper sighed, as he looked at the planet they were protecting against the Covenant war machine, out of all the fifteen ships in the system, only the frigates, Omaha, Blitzkrieg, and Summer Solstice were given Covenant upgrades, especially the frigates, because they were the fastest ships they had, along with the shields stolen from destroyed battlecruisers, giving them an advantage against the largest of Covenant ships.
"Slipspace rupture in three, two, one!"
As soon the ensign said one, thirty two holes ripping through space and time itself and the ships inside the ruptures started to come out of them, but what they saw made them fill up with hope.

"This is Rear Admiral McKay of UNSC Valiant of the small battlegroup. Shipmaster Koma 'Davumee has joined us three years ago after breaking off from the Covenant, hence why they called their fleet 'Separatists'," Rear Admiral McKay said as Viper heard chatter on the local comms.

One hour later
After Viper landed back in the Summer Solstice hangar and informed his team to get ready to head to the UNSC Atlas and left without saying anything else. "You know Rusty, you could have asked for help," the Spartan on the radio said on a smug tone.
"Shut up. How's the VIP?" Rusty asked.

Agent Talaway, suffice to say, was not in a good mood at the moment as she approached looking rather pissed as she surveyed the scene with a critical yet cold and calculating eye.
"What the hell happened here, Lieutenant!?" she snarled. "And why the fuck is one of four of our surviving Spartan IIs lying on ground and being unresponsive to commands?!"
Talaway glared at her subordinate for a minute before fixing her cold steely eyes upon the frightened alicorn mare. "You!" she snapped in an icy voice as she pointed to two ODSTs. "Take our prisoner to one of the holding cells aboard the Banshee's Call and keep her there till I question her myself alongside with the admiral," she ordered. "And as for you, Viper, why wasn't I notified about her capture or arrival to this F.O.B?"
For once in all the soldier’s life, Viper talked back to her, much to everyone’s fear.
"Because, you fucking bitch, she is the only thing standing between us and Celestia. So unless you have another fucking solution, stay out of this. You ONI spook," Viper said with venom in his words as he walked away and ordered the two ODSTs to release Cadence
"Belay that, and do as I had ordered first," she snapped at the two troopers. "Call the Admiral, I think we got ourselves a shit storm brewing in the ranks," Corpsman Fitzgerald said to one of his fellow marines.
"Commander, I'm ordering you to stand down NOW!" the ONI agent yelled as they began to argue back and forth until she pulled a pistol out and pointed it at the pink alicorn.
"Agent Talaway, as the commanding officer of the base, I'm ordering "you" to STAND DOWN NOW!!" yelled Viper. This shocked every one of them since he never pulled rank before.
Talaway looked at him before saying with a smug tone, "Fine then, Spartan three." she left the outside camp to go back inside the base.
Viper stood there, like someone grabbed his daughter and slit her throat in front of him. Viper tried everything to keep that secret under wraps, but now it was out in the open.
Six hours later

Nightmare Moon decided to take Arachnia’s turn and spun the bottle and it landed on Brandon.
"Dare," Brandon said without Nightmare Moon saying anything.
"I dare you to eat a bug," Nightmare Moon said, internally smirking.
"What kind of bug?" the Spartan III asked.
"This one," Nightmare Moon said as she conjured up a scorpion. This freaked Brandon out.
"AAAAAAAAAAH!" came the high pitched scream of Spartan III Brandon. Brandon ran out of the room, hoping that the scorpion doesn't follow him.
"That wasn't nice, Nightmare!" Chrysalis snarled angrily at the mare.
Nightmare Moon shrugged. Viper decided to step in before all hell breaks loose.
"Okay, obviously since he's afraid of scorpions or anything with more than four legs, he has a tendency to high tail it out of the area. So please, don't do that again?" Viper asked his marefriend.
"Just enough with the bug jokes and insults," the green maned changeling growled. "It's bad enough that Arachnia has to share something so dark and vulgar about her past… just no more"
"At least she knew her parents longer than seven years," Luke said as he drank his bottle of beer.
"We've all got skeletons in our closets, but he's got demons in his" Samantha said, pointing to the knocked out Spartan II.
"Actually, I have demons in my closet as well," Viper said as everyone looked at him. He ignored it as he spun the bottle.
"Yeah we know, but him, Viper, he's got some real issues with ONI and the UNSC," Samantha said, looking at the Spartan II with both sympathy and fear.
"Yeah, but his is big amongst some of us. Hell, that big guy over there was forcefully taken from his family for the program, and he watched as ONI spooks put down his family to boot. "
"At least he doesn't have a twenty five consecutive life sentence over his head," Viper said as the bottle stopped on Callie.
"Truth or dare?" Viper asked her.
"Don't know Lt, but I do know that ONI's got you both on their watch list and hit list. Hell, I bet Paragonsky is just itching to sign the order to have you both…" she made a slit throat gesture. "And truth," she replied, taking a swig of her bootleg whiskey.
"What team were you assigned to before joining us?" Viper asked as he grabbed a bottle of apple cider that was taken from a farm outside of the forest, and chugged the whole thing down.
"Gamma squad aka ‘The Magnificent 7’," Callie answered
All of the Spartans and Centurion choked on whatever drinks they had as they heard her answer.
The three mares stared at the group of soldiers confused. "The what?" Chrysalis asked
"They were an elite team of Spartans who would operate outside UNSC jurisdiction and every mission they had was one hundred percent completed, until they were all killed," Andrew said.
"Not all. Only one survived, and that's me," Callie said with sadness in her voice as she remembered her fallen squad mates and friends. "Paragonsky ordered that we're too dangerous to be kept around. Thought that our rebellious rogue behavior would start to rub off on the other Spartans, so he signed the order to have us put on a god damn suicide mission deep into Covie held territory without support and minimal equipment"
Everyone was quiet, until Ryan looked at Viper and noticed his eye colored changed to a blood red.
"You alright Lt?" the Spartan three asked as he noticed the Spartan III's eye change form it's normal blue to red.
He then calmed himself down as his eyes went back to blue. "Sorry about that. It's my mutations I got from the augmentation," Viper said.
"That's never happened to any of us before, Lt," Callie said showing her eye color was still the same blue.
"Because it's very rare to get mutations. But enough about that, we should get back to the game," Viper said as Callie spun the bottle. For the next three hours, many truths were spilled and many dares taken, like when Alex was dared to shave his hair into a Mohawk and Brandon had his chest waxed. When Marcus spun the bottle and it landed on Viper.
"Truth or dare, Lt?" Marcus said.
"Truth," Viper said as he drank his fifteenth bottle of apple cider.
"Who are the other ponies that you like?" Marcus asked, making Viper to spit out the precious alcohol.
"He's turning red!" Callie shouted with a hysterical laugh.
The entire room continued to laugh until Viper started to talk, unfortunately no one heard what he said.
"Oh lighten up, my love," Molestia cooed as she snuggled up to him, her big white soft bosoms pushed into his arm and side.
"Fluttershy, Big Macareina and Nursery Rhymes," Viper said as he chugged the bottle of apple cider.
The two mares stared at him. "And who said you could start adding more mares to our herd!?" Nightmare Moon snapped, showing her enlarged canines.
"Says the person who killed more Covenant than Celestia has eaten in cakes," Viper said as he grabbed another bottle of apple cider.
Meanwhile in Canterlot
Celestia was eating a slice of cake when, all of a sudden, she sneezed on it since she felt someone saying something about her and her addiction to cake, before tossing out the cake
Back at base
"My turn," Viper said as the bottle spun. Unfortunately, he used his magic to spin the bottle and it instantly became a flying projectile as it hit the wall.
"Well, there goes that game," Chrysalis said giving a deadpan look.
"We could play five finger filet," Viper said as every gun in the room was pointed at him immediately after the words came out of his mouth.
"How about punch a grunt?" Callie added.
"Yeah how about no," Viper said as he ran out of the room as his team started to chase him.
Ten minutes later
"What's punch a grunt?" Molestia asked as she snuggled up to Viper in his bed.
"It's when a team chooses someone to punch until they submit or run away," Viper said after losing his team.
Meanwhile in Ponyville
All of the citizens in the town were sleeping and no one left outside, except for two.
The two figures were outside of the town with only one thing they were ordered to do.
