Chapters Bringing Pinkie Back
Chapter 1
It has been about 2 weeks since Rainbow Dash had set hoove on ground. Since Pinkie's funeral she had not even been outside her house. She was too depressed to do anything anymore. Hardly anypony visited her. They all had thier own things they had to deal with. Also, since Pinkie died, business for Sugarcube Corner has been scarce. Rainbow hasn't been to Sugarcube Corner since the "incident." Rainbow hated herself for what she had done. She hated thinking about it too. When it would come up in her head she would curl up into a ball and sob. And for the past two weeks, that happened daily. She wished every night that she would be able to see Pinkie's smile light up the world once more. Though she thought that wish would never come true. She never thought that one day she would be looking into the pink mare's eyes once more. But it just so happened that one day, she would .
It was a beautiful Saturday. The sun was up high in the sky. The birds were flying around and chirping cheerfully. It would be a great day for flying. But Rainbow didn't want to fly. Just to think of the sun made her heart ache. It reminded her of Pinkie's warm smile. And Pinkie was the last thing Rainbow wanted to think of. The multicolored mare was lying on her bed. Curled up into a ball, her eyes squeezed shut, facing another session of heart ache. Then her stomach growled. Rainbow had not eaten since Twilight came over with a fresh batch of cookies. They shared the cookies while sipping tea and talking about the Wonderbolts. Twilight was the only pony of the 4 that did not fear Rainbow. Twilight knew very well it was an accident and that Rainbow Dash had just done it to defend herself. Remembering that day made Rainbow even more hungry. She wanted to go ask Twilight for some more cookies but she was..........afraid. Not of Twilight of course but of the.......ground. Another session of pain filled Rainbow's heart, just thinking of the ground reminded Rainbow that Pinkie was an earth pony. But Rainbow's stomach growled again and by the way it sounded, it meant business.
The cyan pegasus slowly climbed off her bed and landed on all fours on the ground. She dragged herself to the door. She sat there, staring at the doorknob. Was she really ready to go outside for the first time in weeks? Her stomach growled once more. That was a yes. She slowly turned the doorknob and slowly opened the door. She peeked outside a squinted. The light of the sun was very bright on Rainbow's eyes. She trotted outside and slowly closed her door. She took a deep breath. She was ready to head for the ground.
She jumped off the edge of the cloud. Only then did she realize that she had not used her wings in weeks. She had almost forgotten how to use them. She franticly flapped them up and down but they just didn't catch the wind. She was doomed. Rainbow shrieked as she plummeted to the ground. She then took a deep breath and tried one last time. She stuck her wings out and let them catch the air. And when they did she flapped once and curved, sending her into the sky right before she hit the ground. She flew up, up, up until she could feel the sun's rays hot on her wings. She then flapped hard sending her rocketing through the air. She preformed a hand full of stunts to test out her wings before deciding to land. She slowed down as she got closer to the ground. She tried to land gracefully but since she hadn't used her wings in so long she landed on her face instead.
"Owwwww." she groaned then stood up again.
She walked towards Twilight's house. It sure felt weird to walk on ground. It felt so much different up in the clouds.
When Rainbow got to Twilight's house she knocked on the door. She heard some rustling around and then the door opened. It was Spike. He screamed then slammed the door shut. From inside Rainbow could hear Spike screaming,
"There's a killer at our door Twilight! A killer!"
The rainbow pegasus's heart sunk. A killer, a killer, a killer. The words repeated over and over in her head. She was, indeed, a killer. She hung her head and sighed. Then she heard another familiar voice. It was Twilight's.
"A killer ?! Spike, this better not be a joke!"
"It's not! She's out there waiting....."
Twilight slowly opened the door a crack and peeped at Rainbow.
"Oh thank goodness. It's just you." she turned to Spike. "Go to your room. That was very inappropriate and rude. Apoligize to Rainbow Dash then head off to your room."
"But she is a killer! She killed Pinkie Pie! And you know it!"
Spike! Apoligize! NOW!"
Spike twiddled his thumbs a moment before looking at Rainbow.
"Sorry that your a killer."
Twilight lost it. "That's it! To your room! NOW SPIKE!"
"But-"
"NOW !
Spike turned and went to his room. He slammed the door, causing the cyan pegasus to jump. Twilight grew red from embarrasment.
"I'm so sorry. I have no clue what his problem is! He has never done anything like that before! Then again, he didn't take a nap today...."
Rainbow smiled. "It's fine. He's right. I did......kill......Pinkie Pie."
"Yes but......you didn't mean to! I mean, you did it self defense."
Tears formed in Rainbow's eyes. SHe blinked causing one to roll down her cheek. Twilight looked at the ground.
"Look I'm really sorry about Spike."
Rainbow Dash lifted her hoove, telling the purple unicorn she needed to stop.
"Listen. It's fine."
Twilight decided to change the subject. "So, what did you come here for?"
"I was hungry so I decided to come here so we could grab a bite of something together."
Twilight's smile grew larger. "Of course! Of course! What would you like to eat? I'm not much of a master at cooking so maybe we could go to Sugarcube Corner and-" She looked at Rainbow Dash who was crying.
"Oh. I'm sorry. We can just stay here and eat."
Rainbow looked at Twilight and wiped her eyes. "No. I'm fine. I just don't feel in the mood to go to..........Sugarcube Corner."
Twilight smiled. "Maybe I can bake cookies again! You wanna help me?"
Rainbow smiled. She hadn't helped bake anything since.......the "incident".
Twilight trotted into her kitchen. Rainbow heard a few cabnet doors open, then close. Twilight came back witht a worried look on her face.
"Seems I'm all out of tea." She frowned. "Darn, I was really looking forward to drinking some tea."
Rainbow frowned but her face lit up again as she had an idea.
"Rarity is a fancy pony! I'm absolutley sure has some fancy tea stashed somewhere in her house. Maybe we can ask if she can share enough for two ponies to enjoy."
Twilight smiled. "I cannot believe I didn't think of that! I will head over right now! You can stay here if you want. But since I'm out, Spike might come out of his room and taunt you." She frowned again.
"Don't worry. I'll just ignore the little brat." Rainbow smiled.
Twilight's face brightened and she dashed out the door. The cyan mare looked around. There had to be something she could do. She looked at the book shelves.
Of course. I'm in a library. I can just read until Twi comes back. she thought.
But there were so many books. Which one would she choose? After looking around for a bit she spotted an old dusty book hidden at the back of one of the shelves. Rainbow reached out and carefully grabbed it. She blew off the dust. The name on the cover was worn. She couldn't make out what it said. She turned to the first page. She read the title.
Bringing Loved Ones Back From The Grave: A How-To Guide
Rainbow stood there for a moment. Her first thought was of Pinkie Pie. She flipped through the pages eagerly. She stopped on the one with a picture of a pony rising up out of the ground. She flipped a few more and stopped on a picture of two ponies hugging. She flipped to the last page. It had a warning on it. It read,
Warning:
If you are to bring back one from the dead beware, for he/she may be upset that you have awaken them. If they are upset, return them to the grave as soon as possible. For if you do not, prepare for harsh consequences.
The door opened and the rainbow mare jumped and dropped the book.
Twilight smiled adn trotted up to Rainbow. "Just so happens Rarity had just the right amount left for us!" Twilight looked at the old dusty book on the floor. "Watcha got there?"
Rainbow's cheeks grew red. "Oh nothing! Just an old book I found on one of these old shelves."
Twilight picked up the book and read the title. "Bringing Loved Ones Back From The Grave: A How-To Guide."
Twilight looked up at Rainbow. Rainbow's cheeks grew a deeper shade of red.
"You don't want to bring Pinkie back.........do you?"
Rainbow looked down at her hooves. "Well, maybe just for a little."
There was silence. Niether of the ponies wanted to say a word. A minute of silence had gone by. The it was two. Then three. Twilight was the one who broke the silence.
"I understand that you want Pinkie back but.........it's really dangerous. I have never even seen this book before. It must have been here when I moved in. I just.......I just don't know."
Rainbow gave a weak smile. "It's ok. We still have cookies to eat and tea to sip. It's not like I had any chance to seeing Pinkie's face ever again anyhow." The pegasus's face fell and she sighed.
Twilight was a reasonable pony. She really did want to bring Pinkie back from the grave to make her friend happy again. But the truth was, she had never even thought about atempting something like that before. She had no practice in it. What if something were to go wrong? She knew nothing about rising ponies back from the dead, or putting them back. But she was a reasonable pony and she knew darn well there had to be a few books more about this stuff. So she decided to agree with it. She would be the only unicorn to have ever bring a pony back from the grave! How awesome would that be? She looked at Rainbow Dash once more, who had tears in her eyes and a few tears rolling down her cheeks.
"If you really want to do this, I guess I have no choice but to go along with it."
Rainbow lifted her head and smiled.
Twilight smiled too. "If you want Pinkie back, so be it."
Bringing Pinkie Back
Chapter 2
"Rainbow Dash! Can you please sit still? I'm trying to refresh my memory on how to wake the dead here!" Twilight glared at the rainbow maned mare who was squirming about.
It was very dark out. The moon and stars provided the only light there was. Twilight squinted in the dark, trying her best to carefully skim the steps on how to bring back the dead. Rainbow couldn't help but wiggle about. She was so excited! She couldn't wait until she got to look in the bright blue eyes of her pink friend once again. Twilight looked up from her book.
"Ok," Twilight said as she scratched her head making sure she had all of the steps memorized. "I think it's time we wake Pinkie up from her uhh........sleep."
Rainbow almost screamed. She was very much ready for her friend's return. She ran over to Twilight with a large smile on her face.
"What do you need me to do?" Rainbow smiled bigger. She was ready for anything Twilight could possibly need her for.
Twilight thought for a moment. "I think I'm going to need you to dig Pinkie up while I study the steps and spells one last time."
Rainbow saluted her purple friend and dove for the shovel. She tore through the dirt and grass, eager for her friend to return. Twilight heard the shovel hit the coffin and looked up.
"Great," she said turning her gaze toward Rainbow. "now I need you to get her coffin out of the ground."
The cyan pegasus saluted Twilight again an almost ripped the coffin out of the dirt.
"Easy! Easy! Don't be so rough! We don't want to break it!" Twilight shook her head and murmured something under her breath.
Rainbow gently put the coffin onto the ground. "Sorry. Im just so excited!"
"I understand Rainbow, but if we need to return her back to her slumber, we will need the coffin she was originally placed in. That's one of the rules."
Rainbow frowned. She didn't want to ever return Pinkie. She wanted Pinkie to stay forever . Twilight didn't notice. She looked back down at her books.
"Ok," Twilight looked at the coffin, then at Rainbow, then at her books again. "you will need to open the coffin now. Please do not panic but Pinkie may not look like she used to. She may have rotted and/or decayed a little."
Rainbow nodded. She already knew this. She quickly opened the coffin and peeped inside. Pinkie didn't change much. In fact, she hardly changed at all. Rainbow could only see one difference in Pinkie. She looked very unhealthy. Rainbow reached down and gently touched Pinkie's forehead. It was ice cold. She touched Pinkie's cheek and her hoove pushed through her skin, letting thousands of maggot's fall out of her cheek. Rainbow fell back and almost threw up. Twilight looked away. She too, felt slightly sick at the sight of that.
"Ok," Twilight said taking a deep breath. "I think it's time to bring her back."
"I don't want her walking around ponyville with maggots falling out of her cheek." Rainbow looked at Pinkie again and gagged.
"Don't worry, one of my books said that she will return back to normal when she has awaken."
Rainbow was still looking away. "Just bring her back." she said while trying not to think of the maggots.
Twilight quickly said the spell. A zap of purple hit Pinkie and her body glowed for a moment, and then went dull again.
Rainbow glanced at the coffin. "Nothing happened."
Twilight looked down at her books, then back up at Rainbow. "It said in one of my books that she will awake at midnight."
Rainbow groaned. "I have to wait till midnight?"
Twilight nodded. "Yes, but don't worry. It's just 1 and a half hours from now."
Rainbow groaned again. "What are we going to do until then?"
Twilight scratched her head. "Well, according to the rules, we have to close the coffin and put her back in the hole."
"Do we have to cover her with dirt too?"
The purple unicorn shook her head. "No. We just have to close the coffin and put her back in the hole. It says not to cover her back up."
Rainbow glanced back at the coffin. "I'm not going to put the lid back on there. I don't want to look at her face again. It makes my skin crawl to see those maggots crawling around inside of her." Rainbow shuddered.
Twilight thought for a moment and then her face lit up. "I know! I can just use magic to levitate the lid and put it back."
Twilight took a deep breath. Suddenly, the coffin lid was covered with a purple, sparkling coat. And then it was lifted into the air and dropped neatly onto the coffin.
Twilight smiled. "Done! Now your turn. Please place the coffin CAREFULLY into the hole."
Rainbow slauted her friend and gently picked up the coffin. Then she carefully placed it into the hole.
Rainbow looked at Twilight. "Why can't we cover her up? Don't you think that's the smartest thing to do?"
Twilight looked back down at her books. "It says here we can't cover her completely because then she won't be able to get out. She can't die again, but she can go mentaly insane being stuck in a coffin down there."
Rainbow nodded. She understood why. She wouldn't want to be locked in a coffin forever. Especially if she couldn't kill herself. She thought about all the fun stuff her and Pinkie were going to do together. They could go pranking other ponies again and Pinkie could bake Rainbow and herself her famous cupcakes. Rainbow was completely over the whole cupcakes thing now. She didn't have the nightmares anymore. And she didn't feel in danger anymore either. She went back to the normal old Rainbow Dash. Except the fact she was always crying and hurting in the inside. But that would be all over. As soon as midnight struck, she would be back to normal. She glanced at the coffin, then looked at Twilight.
"How much longer?" She wished the unicorn would say 'any minute now' but, she didn't.
Twilight glanced at the watch she was wearing and yawned. "Just about an hour from now. It's only 11:03pm."
Rainbow sighed. She wanted Pinkie now . And to make matters worse, she was awfully tired. Rainbow yawned. She was falling asleep just sitting there. She glanced at the purple unicorn. She was asleep, her head lying on her books. Rainbow chuckled. Of course Twilight would have fallen asleep reading. It's her favorite thing to do. That reminded Rainbow of her favorite thing. Flying. It always woke her up and made hher have an alive feeling. She zoomed into the air and flew at the fastest of speeds. She did lots of tricks too. Then she landed gracefully on the ground. She yawned again. It didn't work. She gave up. She trotted over to Twilight and shook her. Twilight sleepily lifted her head and blinked a few times.
"W-what?" she blinked a few more times. "Rainbow? Where am I?"
The rainbow pegasus yawned. "Your in a graveyard. We were bringing Pinkie back. Remember?"
Twilight nodded. "Yeah. I remember. I must have fallen asleep I guess." Twilight looked at her watch. "It's 11:35pm. I'm going home and going to bed."
Twilight started putting all of her books back into the wagon she brought.
Rainbow yawned and started helping her purple maned friend. "I'm going home too. I need to find something to keep me awake."
When all the books were put in the wagon Twilight took a deep breath and the wagon's handle was coated in a purple cover. Twilight trotted to her house, the wagon fllowing close behind.
"Bye Rainbow! See you tomorrow!" Twilight smiled and waved a hoof then kept on trotting to her house.
Rainbow waved a hoof also. "Goodbye Twi!"
Rainbow zoomed into the air and zoomed straight home. When she got home she trotted right into the kitchen and fixed herself 3 cups of coffee. She quickly drank it all. She wanted to stay up to witness her pink friend's arrival. It made her shiver with excitment just to think of her being back and alive. She glanced at a clock hanging on her wall. It would be just 3 minutes before Pinkie comes back. Rainbow gasped. She needed to ask Twilight where Pinkie would go after she wakes up! Rainbow dashed out of her house and zoomed straight to Twilight's house and then banged on Twilight's door.
"Twilight! I need to ask you something! Please come out!" Rainbow continued to bang on the door.
Twilight opened the door. "Rainbow? What are you doing?"
"I need to know where Pinkie will go when she awakens! Will she stay in the graveyard? I need to be where she goes! And hurry because we only have about one minute!"
Twilight thought for a moment, then responded. "Uhh.....I recall in one of my books it said she would most likely head to her house once she-"
But before Twilight could say anymore, Rainbow zoomed off. Twilight sighed and went back into her house. Meanwhile, Rainbow was at Pinkie's house waiting. She glanced at the clock. Only 30 more seconds before her friend was to wake up. She couldn't believe it. She was actually going to have Pinkie back! She watched the clock and counted down the seconds.
"10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1......"
Rainbow waited but nothing happened.
Where's Pinkie? she thought. Isn't she supposed to wake up and come home?
Rainbow sighed. She decided that the spell didn't work and Pinkie wouldn't come back. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Rainbow sighed sadly.
It's probably just Twilight, coming to see if the spell had worked. she thought.
The knocking filled the empty house for the second time. Rainbow sadly trotted over and opened the door. She looked into the beautiful blue eyes of the pony standing there. It wasn't Twilight.
Bringing Pinkie Back
Chapter 3
Rainbow smiled. Pinkie was back. She was finally back. Rainbow launched herself at Pinkie; tackling her to the ground. Pinkie squealed as she was thrown back. Pinkie and Rainbow stood up.
Rainbow blushed. "Sorry Pinkie. I'm just so glad your back."
Pinkie giggled. "I'm glad I'm back too! I missed you so much! Heck, I missed everything so much! I missed you, the parties, all of the rest of my friends, and much more. But I missed you especially."
Rainbow smiled. "So what was it like?"
Pinkie cocked her head. "What was what like?"
Rainbow looked down. "Ummm......you know......what was it like being........dead."
Pinkie frowned. "It was awful, yet it was nice too. It was all cold and dark for a while no colors, no nothing. I hated it. remember it seemed as if I was floating around in a dark sea of nothingness. I called out for you you guys but nothing happened. It seemed forever before I saw it." Pinkie stopped.
Rainbow looked back up at Pinkie. "Saw what?"
Pinkie was staring at the ground like she was lost in another world. As if she was day-dreaming. "The light." she whispered.
Rainbow hardly heard her. She frowned. "Pinkie are you all right?"
Pinkie shook her head and snapped back into reality. "Hmm? Oh yeah, I'm fine."
The cyan pegasus shuffled her hooves for a moment. "What light were you talking about?"
Pinkie looked at Rainbow and Rainbow looked at Pinkie. Thier gaze met and they were staring at eachother for awhile before Pinkie responded.
"I don't know. It was just a light. A bright light. Like a portal, I guess. I remember I rushed to it. I tried to get there, but it seemed the closer I got to it, the farther away I was. Then the light disappeared. I remember screaming, 'No! No! Come back, light! Please! Come back!' And then I woke up in a coffin. I was coughing and choking. I was sucking in air, trying to get as much of it in my lungs as I possibly could. I threw up, too. But then I crawled out of the coffin and I felt fine. Kind of like I never died in the first place." Pinkie was doing it again. She was staring at the floor, like she was day-dreaming.
Pinkie shook her head and smiled. Rainbow smiled too.
"Ya know, now that you're back and everything, we can hang out and do stuff together. Maybe have a party or something. I know you like parties." Rainbow smiled bigger at the thought of having a party with Pinkie there. It would be great.
Pinkie nodded and yawned. "Yeah, thatt would be great. But maybe another time. I am very tired. I'm just going to go to sleep, ok?"
Rainbow nodded. "Of course! Um....is ok if I crash here tonight? I'm too tired to fly."
The pink mare smiled. She liked the sound of that. "Yeah. Of course you can stay here! You can sleep in my room with me."
Rainbow and Pinkie both trotted back to Pinkie's room and Pinkie hopped onto her bed. Pinkie began jumping up and down on her bed.
"Come join me!" she squealed.
Rainbow couldn't resist. Rainbow hopped onto the bed and began jumping too. They jumped for about 15 minutes before Rainbow's legs gave out. Rainbow fell onto the bed panting. Pinkie smiled and layed down next to Rainbow.
Rainbow yawned. "Goodnight Pinkie."
"Goodnight." Pinkie chirped back.
Pinkie wrapped her arms around the pegasus and they both fell fats asleep.

The next morning Rainbow woke up to the smell of pancakes. Rainbow opened her eyes and sat up. She rubbed her eyes then yawned. Rainbow got out of bed and trotted into the kitchen. She saw Pinkie standing there, cooking pancakes. Rainbow's eyes widened. She hadn't seen Pinkie bake in so long.
Pinkie giggled. "Hiya there Dashie! I'm cooking us some yummy terrific pancakes to celebrate my returnal! I hope you like them!"
Rainbow smiled and licked her lips. She went over to a table and sat down. About 5 minutes later, Pinkie came trotting over with a big plate stacked with pancakes and two smaller plates. Pinkie set the plate down and then sat across from Rainbow. Pinkie gave one plate to Rainbow and kept one for herself. Rainbow grabbed two pancakes and put them on her plate. Rainbow took one bite and moaned. Pinkie giggled.
"I'm sorry." Rainbow said while blushing. "I just haven't had your pancakes for soooo long. I almost forgot how good they were!."
Pinkie smiled and grabbed a pancake and put it on her plate. She took a bite and spit it out. She started gagging and coughing. Rainbow looked alarmed.
"Pinkie?! Are you ok?!"
Pinkie made a disgusted face and nodded. "Yeah, I'm just not used to eating. I guess I kind of forgot how. And plus, that pancake doesn't taste very well. I must have messed up on that one."
Rainbow took a bite from it, chewed slowly, and swallowed. "Tastes fine to me."
Pinkie shrugged. "I guess I just don't like them anymore."
Rainbow gobbled down 5 pancakes and 3 cups of orange juice. Rainbow got off the seat along with Pinkie.
"So, if it's ok with you," Rainbow said with a hint of excitment in her voice. "I was thinking maybe I could gather up our friends and we could have a 'Welcome Back!' party."
Pinkie didn't seem very excited about it. "Ok."
Rainbow didn't notice. "Yes! I will bring our friends over right now so we can set it up!"
"Ok." Pinkie chirped.
Rainbow ran out the door and blasted into the sky in search of her friends.
Pinkie felt dizzy and sat down. Her tummy growled.
"I'm so hungry." she looked around. "There has to be something in this house I can eat!"
Rainbow knocked on each of the mare's doors and told them about the party. Everypony -except Twilight- was shocked at first, but then agreed to help. When everypony was rounded up, they all headed back to Sugar Cube Corner. Rainbow opened the door and let everypony in. Rainbow turned and gasped. The place was a mess! Food was scattered everywhere!
Rainbow looked at Pinkie who was lying on the ground. "What happened?!"
Pinkie got up and frowned. "I was trying to look for something to eat but.....but....I couldn't find anything I liked. It all tasted so gross!"
Rainbow sighed. She tured to her friends. "Help me clean this place up so we can start planning the party."
Everyone nodded and they all got to work.

Everybody gathered around in a circle. Except Pinkie. She was lying on a table quietly singing something. Rainbow looked at Rarity.
"Rarity, what do you want to do for the party?"
Rarity smiled. "Decorations."
Rainbow looked around the circle. "Does anybody dissaprove of that?"
Nobody said anything. Rainbow nodded to Rarity. Rarity smiled with satisfaction. The cyan pegasus looked at Applejack.
"How about you? Do you have any ideas for the party?"
Applejack nodded. "Yup. Ah got two actually. One, food. Two, ah was thinkin we could have the party at the Sweet Apple Acres' barn."
Rainbow smiled. "Ok!" She turned to Twilight. "How about you?"
Twilight thought for a moment. "I can help you three do whatever you guys are doing."
"Well, I'm passing out invitaions. You can use your unicorn magic to quickly make them. Here's the list." Rainbow gave Twilight the list.
Twilight's eyes widened and her jaw dropped. "This is just about every pony in Ponyville!"
Rainbow laughed. "Well, we needed to invite as many ponies as possible!"
Twilight sighed. "I'll do it.....for Pinkie."
"Great!" Rainbow smiled ear to ear. "Let's get to work!"
Chapter 4
The Party
Streamers of all colors hung everywhere. Pretty balloons were tied to almost everything. A big cake with the words: Welcome Back Pinkie! painted on it with purple icing. Games like pin the tail on the pony and hit the pinata were set up. The pinata was shaped like Pinkie. It was adorable. And of course, almost everything was dashed with glitter and a large assortment of jems. Rainbow Dash excitedly bounced around. It was only a matter of time before the guests arrived. Rarity and Twilight sat at a table sipping tea and chatting about something. After a long, firm scolding from Twilight, Spike sat in a chair and watched Rainbow. He was starting to like her again, but he was still acting a bit sour. Twilight found out he only acted that way because he was scared. But Twilight reassured him that Rainbow wasn't going to harm anypony -or dragon- ever again. He smiled and giggled at the silly mare hopping around the room. Fluttershy sat with Spike, just to make him feel better. Applejack was running around Ponyville, rounding up Applebloom, Granny Smith, Big Mac, Scootaloo and some other guests. Sweetie Bell was already there. She sat quietly beside Fluttershy. She did wiggle around a bit though. She couldn't wait until her friends arrived. Pinkie sat alone at a table by herself. She didn't move or do anything. She just stared at the table top. Rainbow grew tired and walked over to Pinkie. Rainbow examined her for awhile. Rainbow looked Pinkie up and down. She could tell Pinkie's hair had grown flatter. And there was hardly any energy in her. She hadn't eaten in awhile either. Actually, Rainbow couldn't recall one time that Pinkie had eaten since she had gotten back. Even in her condition, Pinkie continued to tell the worried pegasus that she was fine.
"Are you alright?" Rainbow asked.
Pinkie gave Rainbow a weak smile and nodded. "Yes." she said.
The cyan pegasus just shrugged and sat down. No more than two seconds after she sat down, the door opened. In came Applejack, Big Mac, Granny Smith, Applebloom, and Scootaloo. Along with some more ponies including Bon Bon, Lyra, Derpy, Colgate, and a good handful more. Sweetie Bell jumped up and ran over to say hi to her friends. Rainbow flew over to welcome the guests. After a short bit of time, just about everypony had arrived and the party was ready to begin.
"Pinkie, it's your turn to pin the tail on the pony." Rainbow said to her.
Pinkie looked over at the excited ponies and looked back down. Rainbow frowned.
"It's your party, so you have to go play the games." Rainbow said firmly.
Pinkie sighed and slowly trotted over to the game. Rainbow Placed the blindfold on Pinkie and spun her around a few times.
"Go straight ahead." Rainbow said.
Pinkie tried, but she wibbled and wobbled. When she finally felt the nail go into the wall, she steped back and took off her blindfold. Pinkie's mouth dropped open as she realized she had pinned the tail into a chair. Pinkie looked to her left and saw the paper pony was about 10 feet away. Everypony laughed. Pinkie's cheeks turned a deep red and she felt her face grow hot from anger. Rainbow noticed Pinkie was upset and ran over to her.
"Hey, it's ok. You did great." she said in a soothing tone.
Pinkie shook her head. "They're laughing at me!"
Pinkie growled. Rainbow stared at Pinkie in shock.
"P-Pinkie. It's fine. It's just a dumb little game. Take a deep breath."
Somebody called Rainbow's name.
"I got to go." she said and trotted off, leaving Pinkie sitting there, grumbling mean words and some other things to herself.
After the game was over, Rainbow galloped back over to Pinkie.
"I won! I won!" Rainbow said with excitment.
Rainbow placed the stuffed dog and the table. Pinkie stared at it for awhile, then looked back down.
"It's for you!" Rainbow said.
Pinkie didn't said or do anything. Rainbow sighed.
"Well hey, I'm going to help the other guys pass out the cake. Then we will do presents and some more games." Rainbow said.
Pinkie still did nothing. Rainbow shrugged and trotted over to the table where the cake was. Twilight carefully cut the cake into equal peices. The rest of the mane 6 served the cake. After all the cake was given out, the 5 ponies trotted over to Pinkie's table. They all took a seat and began eating. Rainbow handed Pinkie a slice and kept one for herself. Pinkie glanced at the slice of cake. He tummy growled. Pinkie picked up a fork, stuck it in the cake, and raised it to her mouth. He popped it in and slowly chewed. A couple seconds later, she coughed and spit it out. He made a disgusted face. Rainbow grabbed a napkin and wiped it up.
"What's wrong darling?" Rarity asked.
Pinkie shook her head and pused the plate away. "I'm not hungry." she said.
"But I just heard your tummy growl." Fluttershy squeaked. "You must be hungry."
Pinkie shook her head. "No, I-I just don't feel too well."
Twilight shot a worried glance at Rainbow. Rainbow didn't know why Twilight did that. She just ignored it. The ponies stayed quite as they ate thier cake. When everyone was finished, Rainbow hopped down.
"Presents!" she said excitedly.
Everyone gathered around Pinkie. Rainbow flew over and grabbed the first present she saw. She flew back over and handed it to Pinkie. Pinkie gave her a weak smile and slowly began opening it. Inside was a spa kit, from Rarity. One by one Pinkie opened the presents. She got an asotrment of things. Games, toys, recipes, hoof polish, clothes, and much more. She also got a lot of "Welcome Back!" cards. When Pinkie was done with the presents, she thanked everypony and walked back over to her table and sat down. Rainbow skipped over to Pinkie.
"Wasn't that fun?" Rainbow chirped.
Pinkie shrugged. "I guess."
Rainbow sighed and sat down. "What's wrong?" she said as she sat down.
Pinkie shook her head. "Nothing."
"There has to be somthing wrong! Your not acting like yourself."
"I-I just don't feel good."
Rainbow looked at Pinkie's hair. It was almost completely flat.
"We are about to play some games. C'mon! I think the next one it spin the bottle!" Rainbow said.
She grabbed Pinkie's hoof and dragged her to the game. She was going to make her have fun, whether she liked it or not.
After playing a bunch of games, it was finally time to play hit the pinata.
"You're going first." Rainbow told Pinkie.
"Great," she said. "more blindfolds and spinning."
Rainbow rolled her eyes and put the vlindfold on Pinkie. She spun her three times.
"It's straight ahead." Rainbow chirped.
A chill went down Pinkie's spine. She had already heard that before. And look what happened, everypony laughed at her. She had to get this.
"I'm gonna crack this puppy open." Pinkie said as she swung the bat back.
"Go!" Rainbow shouted.
Pinkie gathered all her might and swung as hard as she possibly could.
Crack!
Had she hit it?! Had she really hit it!
"GAH! " somepony screamed.
Nope.
Pinkie took off her blindfold. Her eyes widened. Lying there on the floor was Fluttershy.

Bringing Pinkie Back
Chapter 5
Everybody stared at the yellow and pink pony lying on the floor. Pinkie was the first to rush to Fluttershy's aid. Pinkie hovered over her.
"Fluttershy I'm so-" Pinkie stopped.
Pinkie sniffed the air. Her eyes went big and wild looking. She sniffed the air again.
"So....hungry...." Pinkie said.
Twilight's eyes went big. "Pinkie Pie NO !" she shrieked.
Pinkie licked Fluttershy's blood off her hoof. Pinkie twitched and yowled hungrily. She looked back down and Fluttershy and licked her lips. Nopony moved. They were all too shocked and scared. Pinkie opened her mouth and was leaned in to take a bite.
"NO !" Rainbow Dash screamed.
Rainbow zoomed and knocked Pinkie off Fluttershy before she could bite her. Rainbow smashed Pinkie into the wall, making a huge hole where she hit. Pinkie sprung up and looked at Fluttershy with a wild look. Pinkie growled at Rainbow.
"Get out of my way before I make a meal out of you!" Pinkie bellowed.
Tears filled Rainbow's eyes.
"I should have never brought you back." Rainbow whispered.
Pinkie snarled and leapt at her. Rainbow screamed and tried to fight Pinkie. But Pinkie pinned her down. Pinkie growled and raised one hoof.
"Nighty night." she said.
Pinkie swung her hoof and Rainbow was out like a light. Ponies screamed and ran out of the barn. Applejack herded everyone out. Twilight tackled Pinkie and pinned her down. PInkie snarled and screamed. She wiggled around and managed to get out of Twilight's grip. Pinkie rushed to the body and quickly took a bite out of Fluttershy's arm. Fluttershy broke out of her deep sleep and shrieked with pain.
"Pinkie, no!" Twilight cried out.
Applejack ran over to Piinkie and punched her hard in the face. Pinkie fell to the ground but didn't pass out.
"C'mon! Do some of yer unicorn magic an' reverse the spell or somethin'!" Applejack shouted as Pinkie tried to pick herself up.
"I can't." Twilight whispered with tears in her eyes.
Applejack's jaw dropped. "What do ya mean ya can't?!" she yelled.
"She already ate pony flesh. The spell has been altered and I don't know how to undo the altered spell."
Pinkie stood up and growled.
"I'm hungry....and your not going to stop me from feeding!" Pinkie said.
Pinkie tried to take another bite but Applejack tackled her. Applejack punched Pinkie in the face continuously until Pinkie's eyes closed completely.
"We have got to get her to my library." Twilight said. "I have to find out how to undo the spell."
Applejack didn't hesitate. She put Pinkie on her back and ran out the door. Twilight looked down at Fluttehshy.
"Do you think you can fly?" Twilight asked.
Fluttershy shook her head.
"Walk?"
Fluttershy shook her head again. Twilight sighed and picked Fluttershy up. Twilight looked at Rainbow's still body.
"I'll be back to get you later. Please don't wake up until then." Twilight said then she looked around the room for Spike. "Spike?" she called.
Spike came running out from under a table. He was shaking badly and sweating.
"C'mon Spike. We need to go home."
Spike ran out the door. Twilight followed him.
"You need ta hurry! She might wake up soon!" Applejack said impatiently.
Twilight sighed as she skimed the book. Applejack saw Twilight's face light up.
"What? Did ya find somethin'?" Applejack asked.
Twilight nodded. "Yes! I found out the secret!"
Applejack smiled. "Great!"
The pink mare twitched and moaned.
Applejack looked at Twilight worriedly. "Hurry up! Do it! Quick!"
Twilight bit her lip. "I can't."
Applejack wanted to punch something. "What do ya mean you CAN'T?!" she screamed.
Twilight read some more. "It says here that......I'm gonna have to....kill her by.....cutting her head off....."
Bringing Pinkie Back
Chapter 6
Rainbow groaned and rubbed her head. She looked around.
"Ughh...." she moaned. "Twi? Guys? W-where are you?"
It took her a minute to remember what happened.
"Oh my god! Pinkie!" she screamed.
She growled and slammed her hoof onto the ground.
"I knew I should have never brought her back! I should have left her alone! But no! My greediness got in the way!"
Rainbow sighed as tears filled her eyes. She blinked them away and looked around.
"Guys?" she called out.
She thought for a minute. "They must have left!" Rainbow thought some more. "I bet they're at Twi's house! I have to go over there and help!"
Rainbow Dash burst out of the barn and zoomed straight to Twilight's library. Rainbow looked down at the ground. There wasn't a single pony in sight. And she knew why. Rainbow flapped her wings harder. As soon as she got there she burst into the library. She saw Applejack and Twilight being cornered by the pink pony. Rainbow thought for a moment. Everything has gone wrong. Terribly wrong. I have to do something. I have to get rid of Pinkie.....forever.
Rainbow zoomed to them and stopped right behind Pinkie.
"Pinkamena Diane Pie!" Rainbow snarled. "I knew I should have never brought you back! You have to go back! So how about you go crawl back into your coffin and-"
Rainbow was cut off by Pinkie tackling her. They went flying into the wall. Rainbow screamed as Pinkie bit her on the arm. Rainbow swung her other hoof and hit Pinkie hard in the stomach, making the pink pony fall off of her. Pinkie got up and growled. She was about to leap on Rainbow Dash again, but then something sneezed behind her. She spun around to see Spike standing there with a knife. PInkie growled again and smacked the knife out of his hand. She wacked him hard in the face sending the little dragon flying to the bookshelf. He hit it with a loud boom. Blood dripped from his nose and mouth.
"Spike!" Twilight cried out, running towards him.
Pinkie snarled and leapt in front of Twilight. Twilight screamed and backed away. Pinkie slowly followed her. Rainbow stared at Pinkie and realized that she looked almost exactly how she did when she was dead in the coffin, excpet her hair was now straight. Rainbow began to cry.
"She's not the Pinkie we all know and love anymore." the pegasus mumbled. "She's just a monster now."
Pinkie snarled and was about to rip Twilight to peices when there was a clicking of hooves behind her. She spun around and saw it was Rainbow.
"Pinkie, it's over. We are returning you right now!" Rainbow whispered in a soothing voice.
Pinkie shook her head. "I'm not going back Rainbow Dash. Never."
"But it's the best thing to do. You have to go now."
Pinkie looked deep into the cyan mare's eyes. She closed her eyes and hung her head.
"Ok."
Rainbow smiled. She walked over to Pinkie and hugged her. "I'm sorry." Rainbow whispered.
"Me too." Pinkie said in a weird tone.
Rainbow's eyes snapped open. "Wha?"
Suddenly Rainbow felt a sharp pain in her back. Rainbow screamed and pulled away. Pinkie laughed.
"Rainbow!" Applejack cried.
Rainbow looked behind her and realized Pinkie had stabbed her in the back with the knife she slapped out of Spike's hand. Rainbow felt dizzy and she sat down. Rookie mistake. she thought. Pinkie laughed and tackled Rainbow again, sending them both smashing into a mirror. Peices of it flew everywhere. Pinkie sat on top of Rainbow and laughed. Rainbow looked at Twilight. She squinted. Twilight kept swipping her hoof across her neck. Rainbow's eyes widened with realization. She glanced over at the knife that was lying on the floor. It was so far away. And Rainbow was far too weak to get it. Rainbow closed her eyes in defeat.
"Oh Rainbow you idiot. You really thought you could defeat me? I'm a zombie! I have super pony strength and sense!" Pinkie chuckled. "I'm sorry Rainbow, but your time's up."
Pinkie licked her lips. She opened her mouth and was about to take a bite when Rainbow swung her hoof. Pinkie's head tumbled onto the floor and her body toppled over. Applejack vomited and Twilight stared at Pinkie's head in horror. Rainbow sighed and dropped the sharp bloody peice of glass. Twilight ran over to Rainbow and hugged her.
"Oh Rainbow!" she said, crying.
Rainbow smiled. "It's ok Twi. It's all over now."
Twilight watched with tears in her eyes as her friend's life slipped away.
"Goodbye Rainbow. You will never be forgotten."
