Chapter 1View OnlineStrong heart, Brittle heart, Light heart, Dark heartChapter 1Chapter 1 The night sky twinkled above all of Equestria. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna embraced closely for warmth on the balcony of the Cantalot Palace, talking softly. "So. We have to deal with some parasprites Ponyville tomorrow," Celestia sighed. Luna repeated her sigh. "That student of yours is always stressing, too, and that's another thing to deal with." She laughed. Princess Celestia smiled. "We should be getting to bed," Celestia told Luna. "Agreed." So they slowly walked to their beds to fall asleep. The next day was full of merriment and happiness as Princess Celestia and Princess Luna cascaded into the fun-loving town of Ponyville on their carriage. The princesses could already see a purple colored mare with a pink and purple mane trotting around, frantically checking preparations. The princesses smiled and rolled their eyes. They landed on the grounds of Ponyville with a soft, graceful thud. Ponies, pegasi, and unicorns gathered around and cheered. Celestia and Luna starred walking around Ponyville, checking around, greeting ponies. One filly caught Celestia's eye. She was orange, with a beautiful magenta mane and........ she was crying terribly. Princess Celestia walked up to the little filly and put her hoof on her back lightly to comfort her. "Oh, I bet you're just here to bully me too, aren't you," the filly cried without looking up to see who it was. "No I'm not little filly, of course not," Celestia replied. "Of course you ar-" the filly cut off her sentence when she saw that it was Princess Celestia. Luna looked at the filly sympathetically while the filly looked at the princesses through teary eyes. "Oh I'm so sorry Your Majesties," She cried. "I know you wouldn't bully me, I know, but everyone's been bullying poor little Scootaloo just because she has a blank flank, and it's made me so emotional, I can't help but think every voice I hear is going to bully me. But I know you wouldn't," the filly said in a flurry of words. Celestia looked around at the destruction the parasprites had and we're making and sighed. She made her final decision. "Oh, come here....... what was it? Scootaloo? Oh, come here, Scootaloo, it's alright," Celestia said affectionately to Scootaloo. She picked Scootaloo up and carried her towards the waiting carriage, ignoring the parasprites swarming around her. "But the parasprites!" Princess Luna protested. "Oh, they don't matter. I'm sure Applejack will round them up. All that matters now is this little filly, Scootaloo." And Luna followed Celestia with dismay and guilt tugging on her heart, onto the carriage.
Chapter 3View OnlineStrong heart, Brittle heart, Light heart, Dark heartChapter 3Chapter 3 In a week Scootaloo had her own room with a balcony and all. She ate at the palace, she slept at the palace, she had her new life at the palace. Luna continued to listen in dismay to Scootaloo and Princess Celestia's conversations in dismay. On the third week of Scootaloo's stay, while Celestia cradled her in her room, she bet get sister say: "Well my dear Scootaloo, tomorrow we're going to go get an adoption form for you!" Squeals from Scootaloo. "Aren't you excited?! I am. I'm going to be your mommy? And where do you think Aunt Luna got to?" Princess Celestia said in a funny, teasing way. More squeals from Scootaloo. Princess Luna could hear their hoofsteps coming towards the door, looking for "Aunt Luna." The dark mare raced off to her room, so they didn't find her out. She plopped down on her bed. Just then, her sister and Scootaloo trotted on happily, waiting to give Luna news that she already knew. But Luna want going to show that. Not. Just. Yet. Princess Luna sat on her bed and pretended to read a book. "Hi Aunt Luna!" Scootaloo exclaimed, practically bouncing of the walls. "I'm getting adopted!" Luna acted happy for her, but inside, a fire of anger and hate burned deep in her soul. "Oh, I can't wait!" She lied, putting a large smile on her face. And with that, Princess Celestia and Scootaloo trotted off happily. As soon as their backs were turned, Princess Luna's fake smile turned into a genuine frown. "Why does she not love me anymore?" Luna started to sob. She rampaged around the room as the fire of hate in her soul exploded into a raging fit, making her stomp and kick and buck, as if it were to help her situation. But it didn't. Princess Luna didn't care. She thrashed around, breaking every possession she had in that room. Finally, she got to the last unbroken possession. It was a picture, in a glass frame, of Princess Celestia and herself, hugging closely. She bucked it. It shattered. Luna slowly picked up the remains, gluring them back together with her magic. She threw the picture in the trash, but pieced the frame back together. She set the frame down on her desk. Taking a piece of parchment and drew a picture, carefully and beautifully, of her sister and Scootaloo. Princess Luna put the drawing into the frame, and with her magic, shattered it into a million pieces. Scootaloo's head was the only part of the drawing not completely shredded, so she threw this too, into the trash. The dark mare saw Princess Celestia, Scootaloo, and her pictures in the trash. She knew what she had to do.
Chapter 2View OnlineStrong heart, Brittle heart, Light heart, Dark heartChapter 2Chapter two Princess Luna watched her sister with a heavy heart as Celestia caressed Scootaloo with the care of a mother, stroking the filly's mane with the lightest of hooves. Luna thought about just the night before, when Celestia had done the same for her. "Oh, Scootaloo, I love you so, and I will help you get your cutie mark, I swear on my life," Celestia cooed to Scootaloo lovingly. Princess Luna sighed and trotted away solemnly. She just couldn't see how her sister could just ignore her like this! Nonetheless, ignore Ponyville! She shook her head and sighed once more. Meanwhile, in Princess Celestia's room, Scootaloo was telling Celestia about what she had been expiriencing lately. "Oh, and my parent's death was so terrible and now I'm all alone in the world, so helpless, getting bullied because I have a blank flank," Scootaloo sobbed in Princess Celestia's arms. "But you're not alone," the princess cooed. "You have me." "I guess you're right........ mommy," Scootaloo said through sobs. The filly looked up at her "mommy" with clouded eyes. "I love you, dear Scootaloo," Celestia told Scootaloo plainly, no lies or suspicions entering her voice. Scootaloo knew that the beautiful white mare with rainbow mane had a truthful voice when she said those three simple words that meant everything to Scootaloo. She knew it was the worst question to ask at the moment, but she did it anyways: "Why would you love me, a haggard little filly whose patents are dead and is a blank-flank? I'm not worthy for a princess, especially not you." "I love you," Princess Celestia repeated, looking down at Scootaloo with loving eyes. Scootaloo didn't question this time. She knew her "mommy" meant it for sure. "I know. You now mean the world to me," Scootaloo cried. "And...... and....I......love.......you........too........I love you too!"
