"Excuse me Lavender?"
"Well you're the magical one here. I suppose I thought you would you know, know."
"Lavender I don't think I can even begin to explain that to you besides, it's like your saying you didn't want them to marry in the first place."
"No way, of course I want them together I just, would like to know..out of curiosity reasons."
"Well....I don't even know a spell to do something like that."
"Really? Oh man sorry I asked. Guess I'll just leave then."
Suddenly the room grew pitch black, a giant spotlight coming out seemingly nowhere to shine down on Twilight and Lavender. "Of all the friends you have, you forget to remember the one person that can actually do these kinds of things."
The spotlight moved around to the center of the room where a bench had mysteriously moved. A puff of smoke filled the room swirling around the bench until it simply vanished. Twilight grew a irritated look on her face as she stared down the figure sitting on the bench. "Of all the times to show up."
"Well if it isn't dear old princess Twilight, how you been, any new magic spells lately?"
Lavender approached the bench with shock and awe painting her face. "Who are you strange..thing?"
"This must be the new recruit to circle of friendship I presume, and what is your name dear girl?"
"Lavender."
"Lavender? What a beautiful name." The figure took a bow and looked up. "My name is Discord, the spirit of chaos and now harmony. I can help you with your dilemma if you wish."
Twilight tapped Discord making him appear next in a flash of light, arm around her. "What are you planning Discord?"
"What ever do you mean?"
"Well you usually wouldn't use your powers like this unless you want something."
"I am offended princess, was it not Fluttershy who changed me into a person of good? Besides, I don't think it's good to harbor any doubts about one's life, don't you agree Lavender?"
Lavender nodded and stared at Twilight with puppy dog eyes. "Please Twilight?"
"(Sigh) Fine. Just no tricks Discord."
"You have my word. Come along Lavender."
Lavender made her way to Discord's side as a small circle began to form around them. Without any warning, they somehow began to spin like floating in mid air and with a poof they were gone. Lavender opened up her eyes to the center of Ponyville, which strangely was tinted a slight green. "What's going on? Discord? Where are you?"

"Can you hear me Lavender, good. Now you asked to see your life with different parents at hand, correct?"
"Yes."
"Well good news for you. I have transported you to my copy of an alternate universe where your wish has come true. Time still matters in this world however, so make sure to keep track of your time if you want to get your parents back together."
"How did you know about that?"
"I might have....spied...a little. That doesn't matter right now, right now you have limited time to observe the world around you. Good luck."
The tinted green world began to return to a normal shade as ponies started appearing around her. One mare pushing a big kart approached closer and closer to the unsuspecting Dracony. Lavender felt the kart bump against her flank making her jump back in fear. She crashed into the kart tipping it over in a burst of speed. "Oh man, oh man I'm am so sorry."
"It's ok dear. Not like anything got broken."
Lavender began picking up the cases of different pastries. placing them next to her, then she picked up the kart and returned the protected pastries to where they were. "Sorry about that again."
The pony was still gathering her things from the floor behind the kart. "It's quite ok, thank you whoever you are for at least picking them up unlike most ponies."
"Actually I'm a Dracony."
"Dracony?" The mare picked her head up and stared at Lavender. "Oh my. Sunray dear, I should've recognized your voice first thing. How was school?"
"Um..what? Who is Sunray?"
"What? Did you hit your head or something? Do I need to get the doctor again?"
"Why would you need to whoever you are?"
"Honey it's me Sunset, your mother."
Sunset grabbed Lavender's claw and took in her own. Instantly Lavender noticed her change in scale color. "What the? Did I change color? Excuse....mom, I need to do something real quick."
"Me as well, see you back at the house."
"Right, where do we live again?"
"Silly girl, the red house at the end of the street, the bakery."
"Um..Right." Lavender quickly rushed to the bakery. Inside was display area filled with displays of sweets and cakes. Next to that was a counter holding the register and behind that the kitchen. Next to that were a set of stairs leading to the everyone's rooms or so Lavender assumed. She rushed up looking for a mirror. Upon opening one door she saw books filled the room from the door to the back. In the corner was a king size bed, adorning the one side of the bed was Sunset's cutie mark. On the other side was a red diamond shaped jewel. "Guess that's dad's and...mom's room." She made her way to the next door and opened it. "The bathroom, perfect." She closed the door, closed her eyes and approached the mirror. Upon opening them, her eyes shot wide as she stared at the unfamiliar Dracony in the mirror. "Whoa...that's...different." Sunray "Wow I look amazing. My hair is like fire, these eyes could put you in a trance. And would you look at these wings! They're simply stupendous."
A knock at the door caught Sunray's attention making her freeze up. "Honey are you ok in there?"
"Who is it?"
"It's Spike Ray."
"Spike Ray?"
"No that's your nickname remember. Everyone calls you Ray."
"Oh..yea, I forgot." Sunray opened up the door and stepped out. "So what's on the agenda today?"
"Well we have a very important customer coming for a big order. We're going to need your help in the kitchen all day today."
"Of course.....what is it we do again?"
"Bake. Did you hit your head again?"
"Um no dad. Just a little tired."
"Well ok. Meet us downstairs when your ready."
"Alright."
Spike proceeded downstairs leaving Sunray to think to herself. "Is this really how much different my life is. Doesn't seem all that bad."
"Hurry Sunray."
"Oh sorry."
Sunray made her way down to the kitchen to see both Spike and Sunset cooking up a storm. Sunset looked at her and smiled. "There you are. Grab some ingredients and get mixing honey. We have 200 golden cherry cakes to make and we're only 50 in."
Sunray put on an apron and grabbed a bowl. After about twenty minutes of baking she fell to the floor exaughsted. "I'm so tired."
Spike chuckled and began sprinkling sugar atop his finished cakes. "I knew this would happen. Go take a break Sunray."
"Thanks dad."
Without warning she bolted out of the door and took a walk around town. Everything seemed to be in order. Applejack's farm was still there and so was Twilight's library which she made her way to. Upon entering the library, she was rushed by a flurry of books. "Oh sorry Sunray."
"No issue Twilight. Hey have you seen Pinkie Pie?"
"Pinkie Pie? She left years ago."
"Left, what do you mean left?"
"Well your shop is sitting where her's use to sit. She moved to Canterlot to make Sugarcube corner a hit."
"Really? alright then, see ya Twi."
Sunray exited the library with a look of sadness. "Well that's one con but I still think this is better. My parents seem happy and even if Pinkie isn't here, I can still have some fun. Just gotta find my friends."
Sunray wandered over to the high school where dozens of kids sat after school hours. She wandered around like a nervous mess not really knowing anyone to talk to. As she neared the front doors of the school, her name got her attention. "Sunray over here!"
"Huh? This must be my friends I suppose."
"Hey Sunray how's it hanging?"
"Hey...you."
"You forgot my name again didn't you?"
"No...Yes."
"It's Crystal....Crystal Clarity." Crystal Clarity
"Oh right. Crystal now I remember."
"So how did that test go?"
"Good, I think."
"But weren't you complaining about before hand. Did you hit your head or something?"
"Why does everyone keep saying that?"
"That accident you had when you were little. You were still getting used to you full grown wings and you just so happen to crash head first into a tree."
"Sounds painful."
"looked painful."
Another voice from the top of the steps caught Sunray's attention. "Excuse me Sunray dear."
Sunray turned to look up at a purple mare motioning her towards her. "Yes mam?"
"My name is Archive Record as you should already know, we need your assistance in something."Archive Record
"What exactly?"
"It's magic related."
"I guess it's an ok then." Sunray waved goodbye to Crystal and proceeded inside the building. The walk seemed endless as Archive locked her gaze forward leaving to Sunray to enjoy the awkwardness. "So about this whole magic thing."
"We were hoping that you know something about our..situation. You are the daughter of the second greatest magic user in all of Equestria."
"That's saying alot but i'll try."
Archive stopped in front of double doors and pushed them open. "Please come in."
Sunray made her way inside and immediately noticed a strange transparent liquid shifting and changing inside a glass case. "What is it?"
"One of our prized students was attempting to invent a new energy source unlike anything the world has ever seen. Everything seems stable but one variable seems to be missing, Energy."
"So what?"
"We were hoping you could find the lost variable as to why it can't produce a charge. Here comes our genius now."
The double doors flew open and in walked a familiar colt. He looked up at Sunray and back to his clipboard. "You're Sunray, thanks for helping us out."
Sunray sat in shock to the colt standing in front of her. "F...Fizzle!"
"Yes that would be me. Are you ready to conduct some test?"
"Fizzle I missed you."
She hugged him tight not letting go for anything until he wiggled out of her claws. "Excuse me ms. Sunray, there is such thing as a personal space."
"Fizzle don't you recognize me? It's me Lavender.....Oh...I mean."

"Who is Lavender? Is she someone I may have met before?"
"I must excuse myself Fizzle, Archive." Sunray ran quickly out of the room, bolting out of the building and down to her home. She shot through the front door and up the stairs. She made her way over to the last door in the hallway which she assumed was her room. Counting every second that went by, she opened the door and stepped inside. At one corner of the room was a beautiful yellow desk with a mirror connected. Next to it, A black bed covered with pictures of her, Sunset, and Spike. At the foot of the bed stood a tall bookshelf filled with books. Sunset flipped through the books to find nothing but magic spells. She put it back and fell on her bed. "This.....this isn't right. I'm not a bookworm like Twilight. Pinkie isn't here to make me feel better and the one pony I love doesn't even know me. Even if the pros outweigh the cons, it's not worth it."
"I assumed as much."
"What the? Discord?"
"Correct my dear. Did enjoy a day in the life of Sunray?"
"It's not as amazing as it seems."
"I could've told you that."
"I think I should probably stop asking these type questions to myself. "I'll be honest, it was kinda weird seeing Spike with another Pony. Every time Sunset talked, I heard Rarity's voice in my head. Everything was just so wrong, I think I have my answer now."
"Then are you ready to proceed back to reality?"
"Yes."
Twilight impatiently tapped her hoof until a distortion began to form in front of her. Lavender and Discord appeared in seconds making Twilight jump back. "Whoa! There you guys are. It's almost time."
"What do you mean? I was only in there for half an hour."
"Actually it's been about two and half hours."
Lavender turned to scold Discord but he had already vanished. "Where'd that liar go?"
"No time to worry about that trickster you have to get to the castle now."
"Man you're right. See ya Twi."
"Hurry Lavender! Now to get Rarity."
