Pokemon Egg

Jake and Twilight walked in the morning hours with Braixen, Meowstic, and Mienfoo following close behind. They were on their way to the school so Jake could begin his job again, though this week was going to be different than the other weeks Jake spent teaching at the school. In the past, Jake taught with Cheerilee watching over him, but she had to make it to Manehattan for a conference that was going to take the week. So Jake was in charge of teaching, but instead of teaching what he regularly taught, he was doing something fun. Jake decided to get the class educated on the facts of Pokemon. Jake thought of the idea when he noticed the class taking a strong liking to his Pokemon partners and with the inclusion of wild Pokemon. Jake wanted to make sure the young fillies and colts had an understanding of Pokemon. Jake asked Twilight to come along just in case he needed some help with things.

"So ready to be my lovely assistant." Said Jake

"Sure am, and I think it's fun you're going to teach the kids about Pokemon." Said Twilight

"Well, with them taking an interest in Pokemon and with wild Pokemon on the loose, I want to make sure that I educated them on the matter." Said Jake

"Still this should be fun for them. A whole week of not having to learn anything that relates to the usual school curriculum. I wish I had a teacher like you, Jake, back when I was in school." Said Twilight

"I bet, but I wish I knew how fun it is to teach when I was in college. I would have switched majors from chemistry to teaching in a heart beat." Said Jake

"I So I guess you enjoy teaching." Said Twilight

"I sure do." Sad Jake

The group had finally come to a stop in front of the school house. Jake took out the keys, Cheerilee gave him and unlocked the front door. They entered, and Jake set down his bag and began to pull out papers. He set them down on the desk and then grabbed a paper and gave it to Twilight.

"What's this?" Asked Twilight

"The agenda for the day." Said Jake

"Oh." Said Twilight

Twilight took it in her magic and sat down and began to read it over as Jake sat down and made sure he had everything. He then looked over to Meowstic as she looked at him. He looked at her hard, and she kept looking at him. Jake squinted his eyes at here, and Meowstic didn't move a muscle. Twilight looked up from the document as Braixen and Mienfoo were watching Jake and Meowstic having a staring competition.

"Jake, what are you doing?" Asked Twilight

Jake sighed, "Well, I've been trying to speak to Meowstic."

"By staring at her." Said Twilight

"Well, Twilight, you see Psychic Pokemon can learn the move Telepathy. It allows Psychic Type Pokemon to speak to their trainers through our minds. I'm just surprised Meowstic doesn't have the ability." Said Jake

"Oh I have the ability, I just like watching you make stupid faces."

"What, who said that?" Asked Jake

"Said what?" Asked Twilight

"Wait," Jake went over and picked Meowstic up. "You spoke to me didn't you."

"Yes, I did." Said Meowstic

"Yes, you can use Telepathy." Said Jake

"So Meowstic can talk to you." Said Twilight

"Sure can, but now why all of a sudden did you speak to me when you evolved over three days ago." Said Jake

"Because I like watching you make a fool of yourself." Said Meowstic

She smiled as Jake just sighed. He set her down and sat back down.

"So since you can talk, I guess I can have you translate Pokemon speech." Said Jake

"That is true." Said Meowstic

"So what's the deal?" Asked Twilight

"Oh right, she isn't speaking to you. So it seems with this connection, Meowstic can translate for me what the other Pokemon are saying." Said Jake

"Wow, Meowstic can you link to me so I can hear what you say as well." Said Twilight

"Let her know Jake that I can only make one connection and that's with my trainer." Said Meowstic

"Sorry Twilight, she can't do more than the one connection. But if you ask her questions, I'll tell you the answer Meowstic gives me." Said Jake

"Oh, but still it is cool to think that Psychic Pokemon can talk through telepathically. I only know of a few unicorns who have achieved that level of magic." Said Twilight

"Who?" Asked Jake

"Oh, well unless you can build a time machine and go back in time. I would see no point of telling you." Said Twilight

"Oh, so there all dead." Said Jake

"That's right, since to achieve telepathy in a unicorn or alicorn takes a considerable amount of magic, more than the two species have to spare. So if a unicorn or alicorn tries to achieve the spell and completes it, you'll shave off half of your life span." Said Twilight

"Ouch, that's brutal." Said Jake

"At least you don't have to worry about me losing my life over this." Said Meowstic

"Well, I think we should get the classroom ready for class." Said Jake

The others nodded, and they started to get the classroom ready. After getting the classroom ready, students began to pile in but stopped to look at Meowstic. Jake let them pet and examine Meowstic, but told them not to pull on her ears as things wouldn't go so well. After a while, the bell ran, and Braixen looked outside and closed the door. Braixen nodded to Jake, and he got up to the front as Twilight got into his seat.

"Good morning class." Said Jake

"Good morning Jake." Said the class

"So to being the day, I'm going to go over a few announcements. First off as many of you saw today coming into class, my Espurr evolved into a Meowstic. You'll get plenty more time to check her out at lunch, but please remember not to try to pull her ears up. Meowstic keep their ears covered to keep their psychic abilities under control. Second off, Cheerilee won't be here this week as she has a conference she has to attend. So I'll be teaching this week with the help of Twilight. Now usually I would teach you something Cheerilee put together or something you have to learn, but I thought, for this week, we could have some fun. Personally, I don't like to sit in a classroom and teach stuff that's annoying and trust me when I say that school can be boring. I went through 12 grades of school and a year and half of college. So I've decided to teach you all something more fun. For this week you'll be learning about Pokemon. The reason is simple, many of you show love for Pokemon and I could see many of you owning and training Pokemon. But before you can do any of that, you have to understand Pokemon and the dangers that come with them. So that's what we'll be learning in class today. Now for today I'll be lecturing on some topics and tomorrow we'll be outside, and I'll demonstrate Pokemon moves. Then I'll give you all a chance to fight with Pokemon. So I think that covers my announcements." Jake pulled the papers and gave them to Twilight. "What you are getting from Twilight is a packet of all the information for this week. Don't lose that packet or I'll have to give you a zero for this assignment. Cheerilee and I have decided this will either boost your grade as extra credit or do nothing. So if you want the extra credit help, I recommend you know where this paper is at all times." Twilight came back and sat back down. "So let's open to page one and begin." Jake pulled a packet for himself and flipped the page as did Twilight. "So you can see on this page we have here are the collection of all Pokemon and the types of each Pokemon can be."

Jake looked to see Apple Bloom's hoof go up.

"Yes, Apple Bloom." Said Jake

"Are there truly 802 Pokemon." Said, Apple Bloom

"Yes, there are. You see many different regions comprise the world of Pokemon. Some Pokemon you can only find in those areas. For instance, you can only find Braixen in the Kalos Region." Said Jake

"Braix, Braixen."

"Now this number doesn't include Pokemon that have Mega Evolution forms and Alolan Forms of certain Pokemon. But it does include regular Pokemon and legendary Pokemon." Said Jake

Another student raised their hoof for Jake.

"Yes." Said Jake

"What's Mega Evolution?" Asked the student

"Good question, and don't worry I'll go through the others as well. You see Mega Evolution is a particular evolution that occurs in selective Pokemon." Jake pulled his necklace with the Key Stone on it. "In my hand is a Key Stone, one part of Mega Evolution. The other part is what is called a Mega Stone. The trainer must have a Key Stone and the Pokemon a Mega Stone to even begin Mega Evolution. But the other important step why it is so hard is that the Pokemon and trainer must have a bond with each other. Only with all of those combined can you achieve Mega Evolution. Sorry, I can't show you it right now, but the second I can, I'll make sure to show you all." Jake took a breath of fresh air before continuing. "Now average Pokemon are like Braixen, Meowstic, and Mienfoo. Alolan Form Pokemon are Pokemon that reside in a particular region, but when they appeared on the islands of the Alolan Region, they took on different forms. If I happen to capture or come upon an Alolan Form Pokemon, I'll make sure to bring it. Now to the last category, Legendary Pokemon. Legendary Pokemon are unbelievable powerful and the hardest Pokemon to even find."

Sweetie's hoof went into the air.

"Question, Sweetie Belle." Said Jake

"Can you tell us about a Legendary Pokemon." Said Sweetie

"I would love to hear about some Legendary Pokemon as well." Said Twilight

"Ok, since it is impossible I'll ever catch a Legendary Pokemon, I guess we can talk about." Jake paused to think of a story to tell. "Ok, one of the many Legendaries that roam the world of Pokemon is Arceus. He is the god of all Pokemon. People believe he was the creator of their world. Another is the mighty Giratina who resides in the Distortion World. He pretty much is the Pokemon version of my worlds devil. Let me think, oh another is the great Mew. Mew is considered to be the first Pokemon. It can learn any move you wish to teach it. So those happen to be a few of the many Legendary Pokemon. Now let's get into what I'm going to show today. Today I'm going to teach you all the Pokemon Types." Jake faced the board and began to write. "There are eighteen distinct types of Pokemon. They are, Normal, Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Ice, Fighting, Poison, Ground, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, Steel, and Fairy."

"We have to memorize them all." Said a student

Jake turned back around. "I know it does seem crazy, but yes. You must know the types so you can use their weaknesses against them. The reason it's important is that some Pokemon aren't just one type. You see many Pokemon can have dual types. My Kirlia, for example, is a Psychic and Fairy Type. Another reason you must know Pokemon Types is because certain types are better at fighting others. For example, when facing up against Gengar, a Ghost, and Poison Type Pokemon, you wouldn't want to go with a Normal Type as Normal Type moves won't do a thing. You could go with a Psychic Type, but you play the risk of losing because Ghost Type moves are super effective against Psychic Types even if a Psychic-Type move is super effective against Poison Types." Said Jake

Apple Bloom once again rose her hoof.

"But you said some Pokemon have dual types, how does knowin' these Pokemon Types help with that." Said, Apple Bloom

"Good question because you can use a Pokemon that is effective against both types. For example, Paras is a Grass and Bug Type Pokemon. If I didn't know that, I couldn't play the best Pokemon for the situation. But with that knowledge, I know that they are both weak to Fire-Type Pokemon so forth, I would send out Braixen to fight Paras and have her attack with one of her fire moves to cause four times the damage to Paras." Said Jake

"Braix, Braixen."

"So the importance of knowing types is the basis of Pokemon if you don't know the types of Pokemon. You won't make it as a trainer. Every trainer must are aware of their Pokemon Types and how to use them to their fullest capacities. Now let's start talking about weaknesses and moves that aren't going to deal any damage at all to certain Pokemon."

For the rest of the time up to lunch, Jake spoke about Pokemon Types. He made sure to place plenty of examples and stop when students weren't getting the material or just needed to catch up. Jake got plenty of question and happily answered them. He continued to teach until the lunch and recesses bell went off. The class grabbed their lunches and ran outside with Jake, his Pokemon, and Twilight following close behind. Twilight and Jake found a bench to sit on and pulled out their lunches. Jake got his Pokemon their food and set it out for them.

"You know Jake. I'm happy you let me come. Listening to you today expanded my knowledge of Pokemon." Said Twilight

"Glad I could expand your knowledge." Said Jake

"I'm just surprised those kids got it." Said Meowstic

"Well, kids are like sponges Meowstic, they'll suck information right up. Plus if they want to be trainers they'll have to understand this stuff backward and forwards." Said Jake

"True." Said Twilight

They continued to eat lunch until Jake saw Fluttershy coming up with her saddlebags attached to her.

"Hey Fluttershy, what are you doing here?" Asked Jake

"Oh, I came by to give you something." Said Fluttershy

"What?" Asked Jake

Fluttershy opened her saddlebags and pulled out an egg.

"You're giving Jake an egg." Said Twilight

"Not just any egg, Twilight. The egg in Fluttershy's hooves is a Pokemon egg." Said Jake

The egg was white with green spots over it. Jake took it in his hands and held it.

"Pokemon egg, well I guess that's why Audino was checking it." Said Fluttershy

"So where did you find it Fluttershy?" Asked Twilight

"Oh, Harry my bear friend found it. He saw a snake trying to eat it, so he scared the snake away and brought me the egg. That's when Audino took it and began to use her feelers on it. I was thinking of keeping it, but with all my animal friends, many of which like the taste of eggs, I decided not to. So I decided that you should have it, Jake." Said Fluttershy

"Well, thank you Fluttershy. I'll have to visit Audino with Meowstic to see how long until it hatches the Pokemon inside." Said Jake

"What's that Jake?"

Jake saw the CMC come walking up to him.

"This is a Pokemon egg, girls. You see when Pokemon are born. They are born as eggs." Said Jake

"Like how a baby chicken is born." Said, Apple Bloom

"Right, so when a chicken lays an egg, you have to wait for the egg to hatch and then out comes the baby chick. The same goes for Pokemon." Said Jake

"So what will hatch from it?" Asked Scootaloo

"That's the mystery we'll just have to wait to solve." Said Jake

"So how long will it take?" Asked Sweetie

"I'm not sure, but with Fluttershy's Audino, I should get a rough estimate on how long before a new Pokemon comes into this world." Said Jake

"Cool." Said the CMC together

Jake chuckled but could see Meowstic was acting off. She was scanning the around them and seemed on edge.

"Meowstic, you ok girl." Said Jake

"Something's not right. I feel like something is coming towards us." Said Meowstic

Jake raised his eyebrow to Meowstic but saw Braixen was also on edge as was Mienfoo. Then Jake felt it, something watching him. Then on cue, the whole school went silent.

"Twilight use your magic to get the kids next to us. I got a feeling were about to have unexpected guests." Said Jake

"Right." Said Twilight

Twilght used her magic to teleport all the kids together, and she counted to make sure she got them all. Just as she finished, Braixen wiped her stick out, and Jake gave the egg to Fluttershy. A gray smoke started to form around the school. The school kids got close to each other and shivered as they knew who was here. Then the smoke turned into human figures.

"Team Catastrophe." Said Twilight

"What are they doing here?" Asked Fluttershy

"I'm not sure." Said Jake

But something was different, and Jake could tell. Five Team Catastrophe members surrounded him but none of them attacked or sent out Pokemon. Instead, they stood silent and looked at the group.

"Why are they just standing there like statues. I thought they would have attacked by now." Said Twilight

"Twilight." Said Fluttershy

Fluttershy pointed to an area as black smoke started to come out. Once inside the circle, it formed into a new character, one that Jake, Fluttershy or Twilight had never seen before. This one was human in nature but covered in armor, and instead of gray smoke, the smoke was black as coal. The eyes of the smoke figure were as red as the devil's eyes. The armored human scanned the place and laid its eyes on the egg.

"Give me that egg," said the figure in a demonic voice.

Jake got in front of Fluttershy as Fluttershy placed the egg in her saddlebags. "Not in your lifetime buddy. But since we need some introductions here, mind telling us what or who you are."

"I am one of the Elite Guard to Team Catastrophe Elite Izzy." Said the Elite Guard

"Izzy." Said Jake

"Yes you may know of Commander Kitty and Foxy, but they are underlings compared to Team Catastrophe Elite Izzy. I am one of his personally trained guards he chose from the Team Catastrophe grunts that you have faced before. I am known to all Team Catastrophe members as upper class." Said the Elite Guard

"I guess that explains why the other Team Catastrophe members are just standing like statues." Said Jake

"Yes, for I am in command of them. Now give me the egg, and I won't cause you any more problems." Said the Elite Guard

"If you want it so bad, you'll have to go through me." Said Jake

"As you wish, we shall have a one-on-one Pokemon battle. If you win, I'll let you keep the egg and leave this place. But you lose, you will turn over the egg to me." Said the Elite Guard

"Ok, then let's battle." Said Jake

"Before we battle, you must choose who to use." Said the Elite Guard

"Ok, Braixen your up, girl." Braixen walked forward. "Mienfoo and Meowstic, you watch over the kids and Pokemon egg with Twilight and Fluttershy."

"Ok." Said Meowstic

"Mienfoo."

"You ready Braixen."

"Braixen."

"Now I'll show you my Pokemon, and so forth our battle begins. Go Gyarados." Said the Elite Guard

He threw a Poke Ball and out came a giant water serpent creature. It roared at the top of its lungs and caused Braixen to back up. Great, a Water and Flying Type Pokemon. This battle just got a whole lot harder to win with me being at a significant disadvantage.

"Now that our Pokemon are on the field let the battle begin." Said the Elite Guard

"Yes, let the battle begin," Said Jake throwing on his Aura Reader

"Twilight isn't Jake at a disadvantage here." Said Fluttershy

"Sadly yes, I believe that Pokemon is Gyarados. If I remember right, it is a Water and Flying Type." Said Twilight

Fluttershy removed her Pokedex and pointed it at Gyarados.

"Gyarados the Atrocious Pokemon and evolved form of Magikarp. When Magikarp evolves into Gyarados, its brain cells undergo a structural transformation. It is said that this transformation is to blame for this Pokémon's wildly violent nature."

"Gyarados, attack with Hydro Pump." Said the Elite Guard

"Braixen, Protect." Said Jake

Gyarados closed its mouth before firing a high-velocity jet of water at Braixen. Braixen wiped out her stick and placed up a shield just as the attack struck. Braixen gripped her stick with both hands as Jake gritted his teeth together. If Hydro Pump is that powerful, I hate to see any other water attack. Ok, I'm going to have to play it safe here but at the same time hard. Braixen is not going to last long against water based attacks.

"Gyarados, Rain Dance." Said the Elite Guard

Gyarados began to dance around, and soon clouds began to form overhead before the rain started to come down. Even better. Twilight placed a spell up to protect the kids, her, Meowstic, Mienfoo, and Fluttershy from the rain. But she could see Jake and Braixen becoming soaked with rain.

"Braixen, Psybeam." Said Jake

Braixen dropped her shield and spun her stick around to cast a blast of multicolor energy. It Gyarados, but only did only slight damage. The Elite Guard chuckled at the weak attempt to harm his Pokemon.

"If that's all the Braixen has to offer, then that egg is mine. Unless you wish to surrender now and let me take it off your hands." Said the Elite Guard

"No way, I won't you the chance to hurt the Pokemon that will hatch from that egg. Braixen may have the disadvantage in this fight, but that won't stop us." Said Jake

"Braix, Braixen."

"Fine then Gyarados will teach why you don't mess with an Elite Guard to Izzy. First off, let's raise some of your stats, Gyarados. Use Dragon Dance." Gyarados roared as a red, and pink aura covered itself before disappearing. "Now Dragon Rage."

Gyarados closed its mouth before releasing a torrent of blue flames.

"Dodge." Said Jake

Braixen rolled out of the way, but when she tried to get up, she slipped. Jake looked down to see the land was getting muddy from all the rain. The Elite Guard also saw this and gave his next order.

"Show no mercy with Hydro Pump." Said the Elite Guard

The Gyarados turned to Braixen as she tried to get up. It closed its mouth before releasing another salvo of water. Braixen got her footing but was hit with the water attack, dealing massive damage. She went sliding back, being covered in more mud and making it hard for her to move. Damn, if Braixen takes any other water attack, she'll lose. Jake rubbed his wet hair as he watched Braixen get up and try to get her footing.

"Ha, so this is the great human I've heard so much from Kitty and Foxy. You're not worth my time, so I'll be taking that egg now. Gyarados, end it with Hydro Pump once again." Said the Elite Guard

I need to think of something quick or else. Jake thought, quickly, as Gyarados prepared to fire its Hydro Pump. Jake then got an idea that might just win him the battle. But the only downfall was if Braixen could handle his plan.

"Protect." Said Jake

Braixen wiped out her stick and placed a shield as Gyarados fired its attack at her. The water bashed against the shield and Braixen was safe from the assault of water.

"Braixen let's end this rain, Sunny Day." Said Jake

Braixen raised her wand to the sky and fired a spark. The attack exploded into a bright flash that brought back the sun and dried the land. Braixen walked back to Jake brushing the mud from her coat. When I get home, I'll clean you right up, Braixen. But now it is time to fight back.

"I do not fear your sun. Gyarados, use your second to last Hydro Pump." Said the Elite Guard

"Braixen use the power of this sun and use Flamethrower." Said Jake

Gyarados closed its mouth, and Braixen charged the end of her stick. The two fired off their attacks, and they met in the middle. The Elite Guard began to laugh at the situation.

"If this is your big plan to defeat me, it's worthless. Fire attacks don't do squat to my Gyarados." Said the Elite

"Who said I was hoping for a win. You see basic science tells me that when you heat water to a hundred degrees, you make steam. So when a Flamethrower powered up Sunny Day and a Hydro Pump decreased by Sunny Day tells me I'm going to get steam." Jake paused as steam started to fill the battlefield. "Well, I guess science is right again."

The battlefield was clouded in steam as the ponies on the outside with Meowstic, and Mienfoo watched.

"Impressive tactic." Said Twilight

"But what's his plan with the steam now." Said Fluttershy

"Your plan is to cover the field in steam, what a worthless idea." Said the Elite Guard

"Yes it does seem worthless, but it quite hard to hit your opponent if hidden from view. Now Braixen, Double Team." Braixen began to split into copies. "Let's show our friend what we can do. Attack with Scratch."

The Braixens started to run towards Gyarados. They jumped around hidden by the steam. Gyarados roared out as the real Braixen kept striking blow after blow onto Gyarados. The Elite Guard growled and decided he had enough of this nonsense.

"Twister." Said the Elite Guard

Gyarados used its tail to start to form a twister to take away the cover and destroy the Braixen copies only leaving the real one in front of Jake.

"Now Psychic." Said Jake

Braixen concentrated on Gyarados, and soon her eyes went blue, and blue aura covered Gyarados. Braixen raised her stick high to the sky and then brought it down quickly to the ground and Gyarados came smashing down.

"Now Psyshock." Said Jake

Braixen spun her stick around creating a dark orb and sent it flying. As it flew towards Gyarados, it split into three attacks and hit Gyarados. But Jake didn't let up.

"Now Psybeam." Said Jake

Braixen spun her stick around and sent out a wave of multicolor energy. It again struck Gyarados.

"Psychic again." Said Jake

Braixen covered Gyarados in a blue aura and lifted him into the air before smashing him down again.

"Now how about we show you what a Fir Type can do. Let's finish it with a fire move Braixen, go Fire Blast." Said Jake

Braixen held her stick tight with both hands as the tip burst into flames. Braixen roared as she charged all the fire in her body and sent it flying in the natural Fire Blast shape. With the boost from Sunny Day, it was stronger than a typical Fire Blast.

"And for good measures, Psyschock." Said Jake

Braixen charged yet another dark orb and sent it flying. The sphere split into three attacks and combined with the flying Fire Blast. Together the two attacks landed with a mighty explosion. Jake bit his lip as he looked at Braixen. She was breathing at an extraordinary rate. Sorry for pushing you girl, but it was all I could do to defeat Gyarados. Jake looked at the smoke and much to his relief, Gyarados was out.

"NO, how is possible! NOOOO!" Said the Elite Guard

"Thank Celestia for this battle being over." Said Jake

"Yes thank her every much." Said Twilight

"I thought I was going to faint watching Braixen lose to Gyarados." Said Fluttershy

Jake sighed but watched as Braixen started to topple over. He ran up and caught her before she fell over. He helped her keep to her feet.

"You did great girl, sorry I pushed you in the end. But you held out for my crazy plan." Said Jake

"Braix, Braixen."

Braixen nuzzled Jake's cheek as he blushed. Meanwhile, the Elite Guard returned his Gyarados and looked at Jake. I see why Izzy finds him so fascinating to study.

"Jake this battle may be yours, but the war is not." Said the Elite Guard

"That may be, but I'm planning to put a stop to you once and for all. So you all can plan for that." Said Jake

"We'll see." Said the Elite Guard

All of Team Catastrophe members including the Elite Guard turned to smoke and disappeared. Once gone, Fluttershy went towards Braixen and pulled a medical kit from her saddlebags. Jake set Braixen down so Fluttershy could look over her. Jake sighed as ran his hands through his still damp hair. Jake then felt something strange about him and saw he was completely dry. He turned to Twilight who came walking up with his two other Pokemon.

"Quick drying spell." Said Twilight

"Thanks, Twilight and oh, Fluttershy how is Braixen." Said Jake

"Other than tired and covered in dried mud, she'll be fine." Said Fluttershy

"Braixen when we get home, I'll get all that mud off of you." Said Jake

"Braixen."

"Braixen says she'll like that." Said Meowstic

"So Jake what was your plan after you used Sunny Day." Said Twilight

"In truth Twilight, I didn't have a plan. I knew I couldn't beat Gyarados up front not with Braixen taking significant damage. I used the steam to gain the upper hand, but it all came down to whether Braixen could do non-stop attacking. I'm proud she was able to get it down." Said Jake

"Braix, Braixen."

"Now I think I could use a good break." Jake turned back to the class as they looked at him. "So class, I know today I was going to continue teaching, but I don't think I can do it. So I'm going to let school out early. For homework, I want you to look through part one of the packet and bring any questions you have tomorrow. You all can look ahead if you wish and we'll be doing part two tomorrow. Have a great rest of your day, class."

The kids looked at each other cheering in happiness. They went back into the school house and gathered their stuff and ran off to their homes. Jake chuckled as he sat down on the ground before lying down.

"You know Jake. You are impressive. If it was me fighting, up there, I think I would freeze with fear." Said Twilight

"Well, to tell the truth, I swore I was going to lose. But I knew I couldn't let that happen. So I calmed myself and knew what I had to do, even if it sucked every once of Braixen's strength to do it." Said Jake

"Well, at least we get to keep the Pokemon egg and keep it safe." Said Twilight

Jake got up as Twilight levitated the egg into his hands from Fluttershy's saddlebags. Jake held it tight in his grasp as he ran a hand over it.

"Well, now we wait to see who my new edition to my team will be." Said Jake

In the distance stood a well-dressed figure. The Elite Guard from the battle took form as he bowed in front of his master, Izzy. Izzy removed his glasses and started to clean them.

"Forgive me, Izzy. I have failed you." Said the Elite Guard

"No, you haven't my faithful servant. Yes, our mission was to recover the egg, and I see we failed that. But your fight was so much better than any Pokemon that can hatch from that egg. It showed me more about this human Pokemon trainer Celestia has fighting for her. That my guard is better than a lousy egg." Said Izzy

"Thank you, Izzy." Said the Elite Guard

"Now come along, I must give my report." Said Izzy

"If I may ask, Izzy. Why have you not yet attacked him? I know that you could beat him with just your Shadow Dragonite alone." Said the Elite Guard

"Becuase he isn't ready yet. You see my servant. Jake is like fine wine. You don't drink fine wine util it has aged. So why battle a trainer still growing ripe with flavor. Anyway, I'll let the girls deal with him and prepare him while I continue to watch and understand. Only by knowing your enemy forward and backward can you strike the blow that will cripple them." Said Izzy

"I understand Izzy." Said the Elite Guard

The Elite stood next to Izzy as he watched Jake pick up Braixen and begin to walk home. You continue to impress me, Jake. But just you wait, when we meet on the battlefield, I'm going to tear every living shred of hope from your body. Then when I tear the final shred of you apart, all that will be left is an empty husk of a trainer. So continue to grow stronger, because I want my battle with you to be the best I've ever had. So that when I see you fall to my feet, you'll know real power. Izzy chuckled as he and the Elite Guard disappeared into smoke as gently breeze took them both away.

Author's Note

So I've pulled this one out early. I guess I wanted to give you all the next chapter of my story. So just a few quick notes, Elite Guards will start to make appearances now and then to fight against Jake and his friends. Also, Meowstic can speak to Jake through Telepathy, and I plan on having Kirlia talk to him when she evolves into Gardevoir. But those will be the only Pokemon that can physically talk with Jake. All other Pokemon will speak using Pokemon speech that I've been using. So I do hope you enjoy this chapter and to remind you all, I'm only going to do one more of update before I return to The Fabled Warrior for some very much needed updates.
