Mirage:
As I walked through the town square towards the castle, Where Princess Celestia would be waiting to give me my punishment, I saw a few ponies eyeing me some in disgust, some in fear. I had been trying a new trick over the city and it... kind of backfired, when I got flying fast enough I curved up, went in a loop, flipped over onto my back and started to build electricity, I let it cover my mane and tail I could see the purple glow coming from it and started to hear the pops and crackles of electricity over the constant sound of rushing wind in my ears, I was so full of pride I closed my eyes I didn't realize I hadn't flown far enough from the ground and my mane started to brush the tops of buildings setting them on fire and discharging any electronics in them.
That's why I'm on my way to be punished... a million punishments popped into my mind,
"what if Celestia throws me in the dungeon? "
"what if she "disposes" of me? "
"what if she put a spell on my wings so I can never fly again? "
I began to panic from the bombardment of thoughts in my mind, my heart started to beat faster, my breathing quickened and I started to look around, trying to find somewhere to escape from everything in my mind. I finally calmed down, Celestia would never think of doing any of those cruel punishments. especially to me, I finally ended up at the front door of the castle and knocked... no answer, I raised one eyebrow and knocked again... still no answer, the thought of her not being here annoyed me so i repeatedly banged on the door until she opened up.
"I said I'd be here in a second" Celestia said with a frown,
"How was i supposed to hear you through this big door?" I said frowning back, I always had been a smartflank, even to the princess, she had raised me since I was a colt. I lived in the castle and was very grateful to her but she had started to try to be something to me that she wasn't, a mother
Celestia glared down at me, "Maybe if you stopped knocking every two seconds you would"
I just flipped my mane to the side, rolled my eyes and said, "Sure, whatever"
"Come inside" she said, trying her hardest not to strangle me, I knew she wanted to, every time she saw me i was either in trouble or was just ignoring her as I went to my room inside the castle.
"Okay" I said
We walked inside through the castle as she lead me to my room, when we stopped at the door she opened it up and stepped inside, I followed close behind.
"Sit" she said in her normal, calm voice
I obeyed and took a seat on my bed, looked up to her and swallowed
"Now Mirage" she said, "You know your not supposed to be flying in Canterlot without my permission, true?"
"Yeah, So what?" I asked,
"Your supposed to obey me" she said frowning, "and you chose not to"
"I'm a Pegasus! I cant just stay grounded forever!" I said loudly,
"I know Mirage" she said still in her calm voice,
"Then why wont you let me fly?!" I said, almost yelling now
"Because it's too dangerous" she said,
"So... now you think I'm dangerous?" I asked,
"That's not what I said" she said looking around,
"But It's what you think" I said "Well, thanks Celestia but I think I didn't do THAT on purpose" I said pointing out the window,
"I'M JUST TRYING TO KEEP YOU SAFE YOU LITTLE BRAT!!!" She screamed
The hostility frightened me, Celestia had never yelled at me, I had aggravated her hundreds of times but she never yelled.
"DO YOU KNOW WHAT I WOU-" she stopped "do you know what I would do if something happened to you?" she asked
"What? I asked in a quiet voice, regretting everything I had ever said that hurt her,
"I would be breaking my promise with your mother" she said,
She was the only pony that ever knew my mother.
"I promised her that i would keep you safe" She said,
"why didn't you just give me to an orphanage?" I asked
"Because, I knew there was something was special about you... you do represent the element of electricity after all..." she said in a quiet voice
"I'm sorry" I said, looking at the floor
"What?" she had never heard me say those two words
"I'm sorry" I repeated
"I am sorry as well" she said
"you have nothing to be sorry about, you've taken care of me for so long... and I haven't given you any kind of love back" I said with tears coming to my eyes
"I love you" she said
"I love you too" I said looking up at her with teary eyes
We both walked to each other and embraced for about a minute before she let me go,
"Mirage I'm sending you away" she said, tearing up herself
"W...what?" I said with a tear rolling down my cheek
"Your going away for awhile" she said, "I have to remain focused here, and with you always getting into trouble... I just can't have you breaking my focus"
I looked at her with those same hate filled eyes "Fine... Good"
"Don't you want to know where your going?" she asked,
"Sure" I said, looking away from her now
"A little town called... Ponyville" she said
"Wait, you mean the town where you sent Twilight Sparkle?" I asked, thinking of the Lavender pony that always had her nose in a book
"Yes that's the one" she said,
"I don't really have any friends there except for her" I said, looking down and scraping my hoof against the marble floor
"you don't have any friends here except for her, and now that she's been gone for awhile you don't really know anypony" she said, "I'd think she'd be pleasantly surprised"
"I guess your right" I said smiling
The next thing I knew I was on a train heading to Ponyville, I had packed things up and already been set up a cloud house above the Everfree forest, the first thing to do was to meet up with a mare named Rainbow Dash for my new weather job, I was told she wouldn't be hard to find because she had a Rainbow mane.
I was told to go off on my own from then, which meant I would probably go see Twilight then try to make friends with anypony else I could.
I was snapped out of my thinking to the train stopping and calling out where we were, Ponyville.
As I trotted away from the train and into Ponyville, straining from the weight of my bags the first thing I did was fly straight to my house, as I observed it from the outside the clouds that made the house were black, I could sense electricity surging from the inside,
"Just my type" I said aloud,
When I put my hooves on the cloud the electricity pumped through my veins, causing me to moan in satisfaction, the electricity felt good, I hadn't felt this way since I had accidentally stepped on Canterlots main power source and drained all the electricity from it causing a city-wide blackout, I laughed at the memory and went inside. Inside of the house was much more enthralling, the black clouds felt like they had more electricity in them and the decor was a lot of things that made me think of home, a bunch of electrical generators were in the walls recharging the clouds that I stepped on little by little. I noticed that they made a quiet humming noise the other decorations were pictures of me, Canterlot and Celestia. My hooves were now tingling which meant I was probably full of electricity and couldn't take in much more but my body decided to take in more, sending purple colored electrical discharges throughout the house I finally forced my body to stop trying to take in electricity and headed to my bedroom. It was quiet different from the other rooms in the house, the clouds were white instead of black and instead of generators everywhere there were dressers, a closet, a bed and a nightstand with a picture of Me, Celestia and Luna Huddled together, all smiling towards the camera.
Luna... Celestia's little sister, I had always had more fun with her than Celestia I always thought her to be a big sister other than an aunt to me, we played pranks on ponies to get a good laugh, we argued about random things, we would even pull pranks on Celestia when we got the chance, only to get scolded by her, she always was on her "Royal Princessy Duties" as Luna would call them, even though she, herself was a princess. I had once begged her to go to Ponyville on a Nightmare Night, even though Celestia would have never let me go I thought Luna could change her mind, I wished I had been able to go but I wasn't.
I finally decided it was time to go so I dropped off my things and decided to take a quick fly over the Everfree forest, I got down low enough to reach out and feel the lush, green leaves on the trees. Next I curved quickly up quickly and inhaled the warm, crisp air which quickly got colder due to me not paying attention to my altitude, I found myself above the clouds. The feeling of being alone soothed me,
"I could stay up here all day if I wanted " I thought, in a calm state of mind
My instincts quickly chimed in making me think I was being observed by somepony.
I looked around and saw a cloud shaking ever so slightly,
"Hello?" I called out, "Is anypony there?"
"Nope!" a voice called out from behind the cloud
I raised one eyebrow and flew behind the cloud,
"Hey there!" the cyan mare said,
"Were you following me?" I asked
"Of course not!" she said,
"Your a bad liar" I said,
"I'm not lying!" she said with a smile,
I studied the mare from head to hoof, taking notice at the rainbow mane and the big rose eyes
"Are you Rainbow Dash?" I asked, stupidly
She hopped up, "The One and Only!" she said, "Why? you heard of me?"
"Of course, your the Captain of the weather team!" I replied
"And the fastest flyer in all of Equestria!" she said, bullishly
"Oh really?" I asked,
She looked at me, as if I had just challenged her
"You think you can keep up?" she asked,
"I think I could manage" I said, "I have trained with the Wonderbolts a few times"
"WHAT?!" she said, her pupils shrinking "ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!"
While she was bouncing in place I couldn't help but ask, "Whats the big deal?"
She grabbed me by the sides of my face, "Whats the big deal?" she asked, "The big deal is that YOU trained with THE Wonderbolts"
I removed her hooves from my face, "So?"
She looked at me with a confused look, "Do you even know who the Wonderbolts are?" she asked,
"Yeah, they preform aerial acrobatics and demonstrations they are also THE fastest fliers in Equestria" I said, "I don't see why, I can keep up just fine"
I thought back on that day, Spitfire had invited me to come watch one of their practice sessions, but quickly escalated into me training with them, my first thought when flying beside them was the dark clouds that trailed behind them, filled with electricity, but quickly realized they could not manipulate the electricity as I could, and also realized that they only left a CLOUD where I left a trail of pure, purple electricity.
"Who are you?" Rainbow Dash asked, snapping me back to reality
I extended my hoof towards hers, "The names Mirage" I said
"Rainbow Dash" she said in reply, as she went to shake my hoof
When our hooves touched she jumped back, "Ouch!" she said, rubbing her hoof, "Why'd you do that?" she asked, surprised
"Oh, my bad" I said "are you okay?"
"How'd you do that?" she asked,
I had forgotten to tell her that I represented the element of electricity,
"Oh, uh... I have... like... a power...." I stuttered
She looked at me confused, "What do you mean?"
"It's a long story..." I said, trying to avoid the subject
"I have time" she said, crouching down onto the cloud she had been standing on,
I knew I couldn't get away without telling her so I shrugged and went into detail "every one hundred years 6 ponies are born with the power to use one of the worlds 6 elements to their own disposal, three Pegasi two Earth ponies and an Alicorn, No unicorns because that would just fall under their category of "Magic ", the Alicorn is usually born with it, where we have to find out in our lives, I was gifted with, The Element Of Electricity, The other five are, Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Spirit and the rarest, Space/Time" I explained
"Oh and I'm a Unicorn" she mocked,
I frowned, "You don't believe me?"
"How could I?" she said,
"If you weren't going to believe me, why'd you ask in the first place?" I asked,
"Duh, because you shocked me!" she said,
"How could I have done that?" I asked, smiling
"Static Electricity" she said,
She was smart, but wrong, So I poked her on the side
"Ouch!" she yelped,
"How about that?" I asked,
"Coincidence" she said,
I poked her again,
Rainbow Dash:
"Ouch!" I shrieked for the second time,
"That?" Mirage asked,
I rubbed my side, "I still don't believe you" I said,
He frowned and flew up into the sky about 50 hooves up, he looked like he was standing on his hind legs, he exhaled deeply and raised his hooves
"This should be interesting " I thought as I lounged on the cloud I was on
The clouds above got dark, the birds soft melody silenced and I watched in amazement.
He closed his eyes and dropped his hooves, everything stopped, Purple colored lightning surged from the clouds around him, striking him all over his body, I saw his muscles tense, he curled into a ball and tucked his wings in when he came out of the ball his eyes were glowing a bright purple. As fast as it all happened it stopped, the lightning dissipated, the clouds returned to their normal color and he dropped to the onto the cloud below, lifelessly.
I rushed over to him, "Are you okay?" I asked, seeing electricity flicker from his body, also noticing a quiet hum get a little louder,
"I'm Fine, but you might want to back away" he said, in a quiet voice, the now loud hum making his words almost inaudible
I didn't argue, witnessing what happened just now, I didn't know what he was capable of so I flew back and watched from behind a cloud.
His body began to spasm, his head jerked back and forth, his hooves shaking uncontrollably, his mane sticking straight up and his tail in a swaying motion, the humming now a deafening squeal this went on for a few seconds until his body came to a complete stop in perfect unison with the sound stopping.
I stuck my head up from the cloud, "Why did I need to back away from tha-" my voice was cut off by a shock wave leaving his body, it blew my mane back and threw me a few more hooves backwards onto my back.
After a few moments I sat up to find him stumbling while trying to walk over towards me, his mane and tail steaming while electricity visibly surged throughout his body,
"What the hay was all that about?" I asked,
"That... Young lady" he stopped and put one of his hooves on his head and cringed, like he had a headache, "Was the element of electricity!" he said, smiling triumphantly while wobbling back and forth, like a vase that was about to fall off of a table.
"Are you okay?" I asked
His big, purple eyes widened, "I think I might... need to go to the hospital" he said as he fell over, his eyes closing when he connected with the ground.
Applejack:
The constant beep of the machine hooked up to the unknown Stallion, Twilight flipping through dozens of books, looking for answers, Rarity pacing back and forth, Fluttershy hiding behind the chairs, and Rainbow Dash trying to explain who and what he was, Too much going on at once
"I already told you, He controlled the weather!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed
"Most Pegasi can do that Rainbow" Twilight said,
"Not like tapping the clouds, like summoning them!" she argued
"That's impossible!" Twilight argued back, "My book says it right here-"
"Stop looking in your stupid books and open your eyes!" Rainbow yelled
"Maybe if you got your head out of the clouds for once you would figure it out!" Twilight screamed in reply,
"Maybe if you got your head out of a book for once you would figure it out!" Rainbow shouted,
"Oh c'mon y'all!" I yelled, getting their attention
"Applejack just stay out of th-" Twilight tried
"I aint gonna sit back and watch you two bicker and fight all day about something she saw!" I yelled, pointing at Rainbow Dash
"Ha, see Twilight? she knows I'm right and is taking my side!" Rainbow Laughed,
"And you have no room ta talk Rainbow!" I said, "How could any of us believe something as preposterous as that?"
"Ha!" Twilight laughed back at Rainbow Dash
"Now, if either one of you can prove yer point, We'll just go with what you say" I said,
"It's against physics!" Twilight said,
"I watched him do it!" Rainbow said, a little louder
"My books say it's Impossible!, Books don't lie!" Twilight said, With elevated volume
"He touched me on the side and it shocked me!" Rainbow argued, looking over at Twilight,
"Static electricity" Twilight said to Rainbow, looking towards her,
"That's what I thought!" Rainbow yelled,
Rainbow turned back to me, "He flew up into the air, Raised his hooves, dropped them and BOOM!" she said, "all the lightning from the black clouds above him struck him and he fell to the clouds below him!"
The two continued to fight and I finally gave up, I couldn't stop them no matter what,
"What's everypony arguing about?" a voice said from across the room,
Everypony looked over to the stallion, who had now sat up in the bed and was rubbing his eyes.
"Mirage!" Rainbow Dash yelped, speeding off towards the pony
"Wha- What?" He asked being thrown off of the bed by Rainbow,
"Show them the electric stuff!" Rainbow said, walking past him, leaving him on his haunches,
"But-" He was cut off by Rainbow speaking,
"Go on!" she said,
He lifted up one of his hooves and closed his eyes, after a few seconds he started to sweat, the tip up his hoof started to glow and a little ball of purple lightning started to form in his hoof.
"How-" Twilight asked,
"I told you!" Rainbow yelled, pointing at Twilight
He opened his eyes,
"I would.... Make it larger but... I'm really drained..." He said
"Does anypony have any electrical appliances?" Rainbow asked,
No pony heard her they were all to busy staring at the Pony who just made a ball of lightning out of nothing, as was I.
"Aha!" Rainbow yelled,
when I looked over to her she strapping a pair of defibrillators around her hooves, Mirage hadn't noticed from his concentration on the little purple glow coming from his hoof.
"Rainbow, uh... that might be a 'lil much don't ya think?" I asked,
"Nah this stallion can take anything!" she said, turning the defibrillators up to max power
"How long have you even known this stallion?" I asked doubting her knowing anything about him,
"Eh, 30 minutes?" she said smiling,
"30 minutes... wow" I said,
"He'll be fine" she said, the machines were humming from the amount of power surging through them,
As she trotted behind him and put them up to his back I had to ask,
"Yer gonna hit him in the back with those things?" I asked, raising an eyebrow
"He'll be fine" she said, pressing the defibrillators against his back
Mirage:
The surge in my back burned as it made connection with my spine, making it feel like it just exploded the sensation continued to through all my organs and to my hoof. The once little ball grew to the size of me and almost brushed up against the ponies standing in front of me, but luckily I raised my other hoof, stopped the growth of the ball and managed to condense it and completely absorb it before falling onto my back, oh Celestia it felt good to have a little energy back.
The other ponies stood in silence, nothing moved, all I could hear was my rapid breathing. We sat there for at least a minute before Rainbow Dash finally broke the silence,
"huh, that kinda hurt" she said, before jumping up, "I TOLD YOU TWILIGHT!!!" she yelled, the sudden volume change hurting my head,
"How-" The familiar lavender mare asked,
"That was awesome Mirage!" Rainbow yelled, her voice echoing throughout my eardrums
"Wait- Mirage?" The lavender mare asked,
She peered over my body and looked me in the eyes, It was Twilight, how could I forget those purple eyes, The Princess used to call me her brother from are almost matching eyes, hers were just a little bit darker though
"Hey Twilight" I said,
"Mirage?! how can you- how are you- why are you-" She rambled,
"It'd be nice if you spoke in a straight sentence" I said,
"How did you get here?!" she asked loudly,
"The Princess sent me here for screwing around too much in Canterlot" I said
"How did you do that?!" she asked, gesturing at the damage
"After you left I figured out what my Cutie mark meant and I think you got the message pretty well" I said, "Can I get up now?"
After helping me up I brushed off my mane and sides,
"Wait a sec Twilight, You know this stallion?" Rainbow asked,
"Know him?" Twilight asked, "This was the only good friend I had at Canterlot!" she said,
"Well were ya ever gonna tell us about him?" A Orange mare with a cowpony hat asked Twilight,
"Well, yeah, I didn't know how to" Twilight said, "How about I Introduce you now!"
The orange pony rolled her eyes, "Alright" she said,
"Mirage, this is, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, I think you've already met Rainbow Dash, and..." She ran her hoof along the line of ponies that stood before me, all of them having there certain qualities, Pinkie Pie was full pink with 3 balloons as her cutie mark, she was bouncing up and down with a huge grin across her face.
Rarity looked like one of those mares that would flip out from walking on dirt, She was a pale white with a purple mane, 3 diamonds as a cutie mark, not surprising.
Applejack looked about opposite of Rarity she looked like a real working pony, Orange coat, hay straw yellow mane wrapped in a braid, cowpony hat, she had a farmers accent her cutie mark was 3 red apples in a triangular formation.
Twilight had stopped when her hoof was on a mare hiding behind a chair,
"and that's Fluttershy" she said, with a sigh
She peeked over the top of the chair saw me and bolted back down,
"I've got this" Rainbow Dash said as she trotted past me and Twilight,
She had gone behind the chair and started whispering to Fluttershy, after a few minutes they came out, she wouldn't look me in the eye no matter what.
She had a yellow coat and a flowing pink mane, I looked for her cutie mark but noticed her wings first, they were smaller than mine and Dash's they didn't even look like they were capable of lifting her, her cutie mark was made up of three pink winged butterfly's.
"Hello" I said to her, trying to get her to look at me
"um... h-" the last word was inaudible
"Sorry, I didn't catch that last part"
"hi..." she said, almost inaudible
"I'm Mirage" I said, extending a hoof and smiling, "What's your name?" I asked, already knowing but wanting her to at least talk to me,
"I'm... Fluttershy..." she said, her voice sounding like a whisper that was quieter than a whisper at the end of her talking,
"um... okaaaay..." I said looking to the other ponies,
"She talks more when ya get ta know her" Applejack said, raising her hoof "Pleased to meet ya Mirage"
"Pleased to meet you too" I said shaking her hoof,
"Oh darling those colors are fantastic!" Rarity piped in "Did you recolor them yourself?"
"Nah, I was born like this" I said,
"Really? that color is very rare!" she said, pointing the black in my mane
"Really?" I asked,
"Oh yes black is a very rare color" she said, smiling while admiring the color,
"But why is it in such a ruffled mess?" she asked, the smile instantly forming into a frown
"Oh I always keep it like this" I said, eyeing my mane that she was poking at,
"Enough about your mane! My turn!!!" Pinkie said smashing Rarity out of the way
"Hey hey hey!" Pinkie said, her face getting inches away from mine, I could feel her warm breath against mine as she got closer looking right into my eyes, her mane brushed my snout when she turned around, it smelled like... cotton candy, I backed away when her tail had smacked me across the face, embarrassed,
"whats your favorite thing to do Mr. Mirage?"
"uh... I enjoy music and... I dunno flying?" I said, trying to find words
"That's cool! I like to..." she began,
she went through the longest list of things that anypony could ever dream of before Twilight me pulled away from her
"Okay Pinkie I think that's enough" Twilight said,
"awwwww" Pinkie said, "I wasn't even halfway through!"
"What happened here?!" A voice said,
We all looked over to see a doctor standing in the doorway, his mouth agape
I looked around at the mess I made In the room and turned back to him,
"It's a long story"
Mirage:
It felt good to get out of the hospital and do my own thing, It was around Midnight and everypony had gone to sleep, Funny, Celestia gives me a bed even though I have Insomnia... Probably just to rest on.
At least I thought everypony was asleep,
Electronic Music blared from a small building close to The Library, my mind craved the sound, the bass, the beat, everything.
When I reached the building there was a long line of ponies standing outside, entering one by one, some exited looking very drunk,
It's a club I thought, smiling
"Hey! is that the pony I think it is?" A familiar voice shouted over the music and crowd outside of the club
when I turned around A pale mare with a dual colored electric mane and violet glasses walked towards me with a big grin,
"Vinyl!" I asked hugging the old friend, "What are you doing here?" I asked,
"I'm preforming here tonight! and, I live here!" she said, "What are you doing here momma's boy? she teased, she called me "momma's boy" because of the princess always watching over me like I was her child,
"I got sent here from Canterlot because I'm dangerous" I said, with a angry tone
"Aw sweet!" she said, "Ya still draining power from major cities?" she asked,
"I just lit a couple trees on fire" I said, "Accidentally"
"Sure, sure ya did" she said grinning, "you wanna come help me with the turn tables?" she asked,
"I'm not that good Vinyl" I said,
"Your the only one that can keep up with this" she said, putting her hoof on her chest
"Sure" I said,
"We're doing the one we did on Nightmare Night in Canterlot!" she said,
I remembered what to do perfectly, the time to turn, which way to turn, flipping switches, Piece of Cake.
"fine" I said, acting like I didn't want to
"Yes!" she shrieked,
We put on a great show! her fans loved it, I tried to put all the attention towards her, but she directed attention towards me, we ended up both getting the spotlight then she asked me if I wanted to have a drink, I refused but she ended up making me, telling me that I deserved at least one, Yeah, one turned into five and five turned into ten, we ended up having a shot competition, downing as much as we could until we got into the past drunk state, we were bucked up and we talked in slurs I could barely remember what happened.
"Dude, dude, dude" she said, giggling for no reason
"Wha?" I said, swaying back and forth
"You know what would...." she was giggling again, "what would really screw with their minds?" she said,
"What?!" I said, my eyes getting serious, at least I think it was serious...
"If we just, like, started making out for like, no reason!" she said,
"Dude!" I said, "that totally would!"
"I know! that's what I said!" she said, laughing uncontrollably
and with that she took her glasses off, leaped on top of me, tackling me out of my chair and smothering my lips with her own, our tongues wrestling for dominance of the others mouth, taste of alcohol spreading in each others mouths, for a moment I realized what I was doing and apparently she did too because we both pulled away and looked at each other in the eye, I smiled first being completely aware of what was going on, I really did like, no love her from the beginning she was beautiful, her magenta eyes blinked and she blushed, and returned the smile, we both wanted this we just needed someone else to explain it for us, in this case, our drunk selves.
She bent down and kissed me, not out of drunkenness, out of love.
Vinyl Scratch:
When I woke up, I felt comforted, even with the terrible, pounding headache. I tried to get up but was pulled back into my bed, I pulled up the blankets and saw two hooves wrapped around the lower part of my chest, they were only inches above my breasts, I felt a sensation between my haunches but quickly turned over to face him so he didn't notice. I almost laughed when I saw him with my glasses on, when I took them off of him and levitated them onto my nightstand with my horn and noticed his eyes were starting to open up.
"Hey there momma's boy" I said, quietly
"Morning" he said, smiling and opening up his eyes
"You get any sleep?" I asked
"Nah" he said,
"Do you remember anything about last night?" I asked,
"A little"
"Like what?" I asked, hoping he remembered me kissing him,
"The show, us going to the bar, the crowd..." he listed,
"oh..." I said disappointed,
I'll just have to ask him then... but, how?
"...and you kissing me," he said ending the list
"Mirage..." I said, "Do you like me?" I asked, not being able to hide myself blushing
"Of course I like you, your the coolest mare in the world!" he said,

Purple electricity built around his body and he levitated into the air without his wings, A low growl emanated from his mouth, His eyes opened revealing them to be blood red instead of the normal purple, his lightning now taking the color of his eyes, along with any purple color on his body, I've seen him do something like this before but never changing his color, he'd been in numerous fights over me being insulted, but never himself, but no pony had ever insulted him about his mother, it was just plain wrong.
He backed up and went for a dash towards Octavia, who was still in the doorway staring up at Mirage. I caught him with my magic and started to sap his energy like I had done twice before, the first time was challenging but the second was easy, this was something else, this wasn't Mirage this was a beast that was locked down deep inside but was finally let out, it was his father, I had heard numerous stories about him and how he tried to kill Mirage's mother while giving birth because he was so close to his destiny, The legend also said that he had possessed his only son with his soul, and he was unleashed, just like that.
He was incredibly strong, with so much power that he inched closer and closer towards Octavia, who stood watching in horror, Mirage's color started to come back in the tail but I needed to move faster, He was close to Octavia, I focused all of my magic on Mirage seeing the color return in his eyes relived me, his mane, tail, Electricity, and mind turned back to normal.
"What the?" he said, seeing himself levitating off of the ground

"Sorry Octavia" he said, seeing her facial expression and walking out of the room

The two were really going at it, they were unmistakably drunk, they had been laughing at random for a few minutes then they were on top of each other making out, I wasn't staring, I had just been right next to them at the bar and happened to hear everything.

Mirage and Vinyl were swaying back and forth as they walked out, finally breaking apart I had known Vinyl's name only because I had been watching over Mirage since he was a colt and he had become friends with Vinyl before he had gotten his cutie mark, they had an unbreakable friendship, always sticking up for each other, partying together, one time Vinyl had broken something of Celestia's during a "secret" party at the castle and took the blame for it. "What about them?" he asked, smiling
"They... change..." I said, looking down at his smile, seeing two sharp teeth sticking out like a sore hoof

I didn't let it finish I just slapped it across the face, he blinked revealing Mirage's eyes again
"Whew" I said,
"Why'd you do that?" he asked, rubbing his cheek
"You keep changing back and forth" I said,
"What do you mean?" He asked
"You keep turning into... somepony else"
"He bit me..." Mirage said, drooping his eyes in shame
"Who?" I asked,
"Blackblood, He was a Vampony" He said,
"So does that mean..." I said, knowing the inevitable
He put his hoof in his mouth and felt around, poking where his fangs were,
"Yeah..." He said, Tearing up
"Don't cry" I said, Holding him
"I'm weak" he said,
"No your not" I said, still embracing him
"But-"
"You're not weak Mirage... you'll get back at him" I said
"If I ever get my hooves on him again..." He started
"I know" I said,
"Mirage..." a voice said
I turned my head to see Celestia standing at the foot of his bed, with tears in her eyes
"I'm so sorry" she said, joining the embrace, making it more or less awkward
"Celestia..." he said,
"Yes?" she said, backing up,
"I'm... a..." he trailed off, and ended up just showing his teeth,
"I know..." she said, letting a single tear run down her cheek
"Do you remember Vinyl?" he asked, gesturing to me
"How could I forget?" she said, smiling, "I heard about you two from Rainbow Dash"
"Oh..." I said, remembering all of Rainbow's questions the day before.
"and... I have very grave news" she said, Tears running down her cheeks, flowing freely
Mirage and I looked up at her, interested
