3View OnlineHold On3 The next day - ~Em~ I wake up to the sound of my mom slamming the door. Guess she's off to work. I'm still on the floor covered in my own blood, half dry half still fresh. I try to get myself up and to my delight I succeeded. I hobbled over to the couch holding my arm over my bruised stomach and lay down. I look at my phone, [10:00am] Instagram: 1 follow notification "Shit I'm late for school!" I say out loud even though nobody's home. I wince and sharply inhale as I get up, try to get dressed and look as if I didn't just get beaten to death by a UFC fighter. On my walk to school I decide to check that notification. I open it and see that it's from that Rainbow kid in my English class. Why does she want to follow me? I accept the follow and shove my phone back into my pocket as I enter the hell of a high school. God, I'm so glad I only have 1 more year of this. I enter my English class and all eyes are on me. I toss the excuse note on the teacher’s desk and quickly sit down. Rainbow took notice of the dark blue and black bruises on my face. How do I know this? I heard her gasp. She's been trying to talk to me since I came to this school but I have no interest. Who would want to talk to me? And why her of all people? She's probably reeling me in and then when I give her my trust, BAM! That's when she'll become a back stabbing bully just like everyone else. "Em, Jesus are you okay?!" She whisper yelled. "Leave me alone Rainbow." I firmly say. "Em please tell me, I'm trying to be your friend." "I. said. leave. me. alone." I said as I clenched my teeth. *Ring!!* I grab my things and bolt to the girl’s bathroom. All the while avoiding Rainbow even though I hear her calling my name to come back. I push open a stall and lock it, sitting on the toilet seat and hugging my knees close to my chest. Useless Faggot Pathetic Worthless Crazy Psycho Mental Bitch Unwanted Kill yourself Whore I cry. I weep. I whimper. I feel disgusted with myself so I get off the toilet and sit right up against it and force 2 fingers in the back of my throat to trigger my gag reflex. I vomit. I do the same thing again. I vomit more. I was about to do it again but I heard someone come in the room. "Em?" Great. Just what I need.Rainbow. I wipe my fingers on my jeans and rest against the cold stall wall breathing heavily. She comes to my stall door and knocks frantically on it. "Em, please I beg you, open up." I sigh and reach for the lock and unlock it then go back to the position I was in. She pushes the door open and gasps. "Oh my god Em what happened?!" Things start going through my head. I start hyperventilating and the whole room is spinning. I clutch my shirt by my chest since I can't breathe. Panic attack. I didn't even see it happen but Rainbow is now sitting by my side trying to calm me down. Why is she helping me? I don't deserve to be helped. "Em, shhh you're okay, you're okay, I'm here. Just take deep breaths and think about something that makes you happy, shhh it's okay you're safe, I'm here" said Rainbow in a soothing voice. Once I calmed down she asked me questions. "Em, please, if you think I'm going to hurt you I'm not" she speaks softly while rubbing circles on my back. I sigh, with a halfhearted chuckle I mumble, "That’s what they all say" She gets in front of me not breaking eye contact, "I would never hurt you on purpose, ever. Please I'm begging you, tell me what's wrong so I can help you, you're not alone in this Em, and nobody should be" "Why do you care?! You barely know me! I'm nothing. I'm useless, I'm worthless, I should just die! I-" I break down and cry while Rainbow hugs me tight while rubbing her hand up and down on my back. "C'mon, you aren't staying here like this. You're coming to my house so I can fix you up" Rainbow said as she helped me up and outside to her car. Guess I have no choice but to accept her kindness.
4View OnlineHold On4~Em ~ I gaze out the window on the car ride to Rainbow's house. I guess she doesn't care if we skip school, does she care more about me? Nah that can't be it. She probably just wanted an excuse to ditch so she used me. Yep, sounds about right. Why is she being so nice to me? Nobody's nice to me. I'm a worthless and pathetic human, so why would anyone bother to be my friend let alone help or talk to me? I just want to be alone. Alone to my thoughts, alone so I can vomit everything up until it's just acid, alone to self-harm as much as I want, I just want to be alone like I have been my whole life. But not everybody can get what they want. Especially if there’s someone named Rainbow Dash. At Rainbow's house - ~3rd person~ Rainbow parks in her driveway and gets out first to assist her wounded friend. She helps her inside and tosses her car keys on the side table by the door. "W-wow your house is so fancy and huge" said Em in amazement. "It's not that fancy, but it is a bit too big for just me and my mom to live in though" she replied while helping Em move to the living room. "Your mom? I told you I didn't wanna come here; I don't wanna be a both-" "Em stop it, my mom is away on a business trip for a while and even if she was here, she wouldn't mind at all that I brought a friend over" said Rainbow while setting her down on the couch. Em furrows her brows, "I'm your friend?" She questioned. "W-well y-ya, to me you are at least" Em nods and looks down at her feet playing with the sleeves of her shirt. "You sit here, I'll be right back" says Rainbow as she leaves briefly. Em just twiddled her thumbs keeping her head down, thinking if she should really trust Rainbow or not. After all she did bring her into her own house. Not just anybody does that right? Soon Rainbow returns with a small first aid kit and sits in front of Em. Rainbow goes to clean a small open cut on Em’s hand, Em flinches and pulls her hand slightly away as the disinfectant touched the open wound. "Sorry, it'll only sting for a second" said Rainbow with sympathy in her tone. Em sighs but brings her hand back so Rainbow could finish. "Rainbow, why are you helping me?" Em unenthusiastically blurted out. "Because, it seemed like you needed a friend" Rainbow replied still focused on Em’s small wound. Em looked out a nearby window and quietly mumbled, "Nobody wants to be my friend" Rainbow shook her head in disbelief, "I want to be your friend," Em looked to Rainbow with a confused face. "Listen, I may have only known you for a short while but in that short timespan I've come to learn a few things about you" Em scoffed, "you don't know me" "But don't you see Em? I'm trying to get to know you, I want to be friends but you aren't letting me in. I can't stand seeing people battle things alone" pleads Rainbow. "I'm not battling anything" Em continues to look out the window. "Bullshit" Rainbow says bluntly while closing up the first aid kit. Em doesn't answer. "You know you won't win against me. You can say that crap to anybody else but not me, I'm not stupid and I'm sure as hell not giving up on you" Rainbow adds. Em huffs in annoyance but still keeping her attention to the window. "Don't you sigh at me missy," Rainbow says trying to get Em to smile because if she thinks about it, she hasn't seen Em smile once since she's met her. "Look at me" Rainbow tries. No movement. "Emma, look at me!" Rainbow tries again. Em sharply turns her head to Rainbow with wide eyes that are getting glossy from tears. "It's. Em." She replies sternly but can't hide the fear, she starts to hyperventilate and tear up. "Whoa whoa whoa Em I'm sorry, please don't cry" says Rainbow with concern in her voice as she tried to give Em a comforting side hug but Em flinched away and burst out crying. "Don't hurt me!" She screamed putting her hands over her head. Rainbow put her hands where Em could see them to show that she truly meant no harm to the fragile girl. "You pathetic waste! Why can't you do what you're told and just kill yourself already!" "Em, I'm not gonna hurt you" Rainbow said in a soft tone, a little afraid and confused as to why Em is screaming like this. "I'm s-sorry! I-I'll c-clean up the h-house like y-you told me t-to! I-I promise I'll get it d-done, please j-just don't h-hurt me!" Em shook and trembled while crying and backing away from Rainbow because all she could see was her drunken enraged mother standing before her. "This time you're really gonna get it Emma!" "Em listen I'm not gonna hurt you, you're safe okay? You need to calm down" Rainbow tries slowly to get closer to Em. "I'm sorry! I'm s-sorry I'm pathetic and a disgrace! I'm s-sorry to disappoint you, P-please I'm s-sorry, d-don't hurt m-me!" Em cried out while shuffling back until she hits a wall. Rainbow is so scared, hurt, and confused on what to do and on what is wrong with her friend. "I will make sure you never see the light of day again you annoying useless fuck!" Em was begging for her life, full of tears and was violently shaking. It was a good thing that Rainbow was close to her because at that moment, Em had fainted from fear. Rainbow caught her and laid her down on the couch. "Em! Em talk to me are you okay? Em wake up!" Rainbow was full of fear. "What had just happened?" She thought. Rainbow pushed that aside and ran to the bathroom for a damp face cloth. She ran back to Em and kneeled by her and put the cloth on her forehead, moving the brown and blue hair out of her eyes. "Fuck fuck fuck, what just happened?!" Rainbow cursed. So many things went through her head at that point. "Why was she so afraid of me? Why was she looking at me like I was some sort of monster? All I did was call him by her full name. Why was she pleading for me to not hurt her? Why why why?!" She thought. Rainbow thought so hard she started to get a headache. Rainbow looked back to Em and seen a bit of her shirt rolled up, with something there that was slightly showing. She furrowed her eyebrows and pulled it up a bit more to reveal big dark purple and blue bruises that were scattered across her stomach. Rainbow gasped at what she had just seen. "Who could've done this to you Em?" She thought rubbing gently over the bruises with her thumb. It was unexplainable as to what Rainbow felt for this lonely fragile girl that she had met only weeks ago. She felt sorrow, she felt anger and hatred to whoever did this to her. But she also felt something more powerful than all those emotions, She felt love.
5View OnlineHold On5- Hours later - ~ Em~ I slowly open my eyes, exhausted somehow still. Soon, memories from earlier flash through my mind only lasting seconds like in a movie. "Em, you're awake!" Someone said happily. I get snapped out of my trance to see Rainbow kneeling by my side with a goofy smile on her dumb but pretty face. I almost wanna smile, but I don't. I yelp in surprise and sit up completely, moving to the far side of the couch. Rainbow has a sorry look in her eyes. "E-Em, it's okay it's only me, Rainbow. You kinda had a bit of a freak out a few hours ago..." She softly spoke inching closer to me. "I-I..-" I wanted to speak, but I froze of fear from seeing memories from earlier flow through my mind. Was I trying to get away from Rainbow?.. But no wait, it was my mom? Then I remember my vision going fuzzy an then.. Lights out. "Em?" Rainbow snapped her fingers. "T-tell me what happened... A-after I, ye know.." I may have already known what happened before, I just want to know what she did after I passed out. "W-well once you fainted I caught you and just laid you on the couch and waited until you would wake up..." She said easily. I just looked down at the floor feeling guilty that I put her through that. It was my pain, not hers, but I was stupid and useless enough to bring her into my curse. "Em" she snapped her fingers again. I need to stop spacing out. "W-what" I said, making eye contact to the muscular girl. "If you don't mind me asking, what exactly happened?" She asked while cautiously sitting on the couch where I once laid. "W-what do you mean..?" I asked stupidly. "Why were you so scared? Why'd you panic like I was some monster or something?" She never broke contact. She's so nosy. But yet, maybe she's just curious. "I can't t-tell you" I replied, still avoiding her gaze. "Why not?" She asked. "Because I just can't" I said sternly. "Do you not trust me?" She asked. "Can we not talk about this right now, please?" I let out a big sigh and drooped. Rainbow nodded in agreement. "Um... C-can I just ask you... One question?" She spoke, a bit differently. As if she would know the answer to the question already. I only looked at her. "W-why um... Do you have those... Big b-bruises on your stomach..?" She spoke carefully and sorrowfully. My eyes widened and instantly my arm went delicately over my stomach to cover it as if I were to hide what was hidden under my shirt. "H-how do you know about those?" I spoke with fear but yet a hint of anger in my tone. The tension grew. "W-well when u passed out I put you on the couch and I guess when I laid you down your shirt rolled up a bit... Or at least enough that I could see a part of one of the bruises" she replied still in a sorrowful tone. I want to yell so much at her, I want to let out all my anger and blame her for everything that's been going on, but it's not her fault. I only want to blame someone else because I know I'm the one to truly blame. If I wasn't such a fuck up then none of this would be happening. I sigh and pull my knees to my chest and burry my head in my hands. "I-I'm s-sorry Rainbow" I softly cried. She moved closer to me in worry. "Em, what on earth are you sorry for?" She asked wrapping an arm around me, trying to comfort me. I broke into tears and hugged her, clutching her shirt, getting my pathetic tears all over her chest. She said nothing, just rubbed soothing circles on my back letting me cry. Maybe she's not such a bad girl after all. ~ Rainbow~ God, how could someone be so miserable? How could someone be so broken? Nobody deserves this, especially Em. Em had laid in my arms weeping, my shirt soaked but I could care less. But now, she peacefully sleeps. Poor thing cried herself to sleep. I wish I could help her, but she's not telling me what's wrong. I already know she has panic attacks and a form of depression by how she talks and sees things but there's gotta be something else. It's late now. I check my phone. [9:08pm] "At least it's a Friday" I thought. I'm sure her parents won't mind if she sleeps here for the night. I put my phone down and carefully and quietly lift Em up and carry her bridal style to my bedroom. I lay her down in my bed and pull the covers over her. She's so cute when she sleeps. I smile. I have the sudden urge to kiss her forehead but just to be safe, I don't. I grab a pillow and blanket and head back downstairs to the couch. I need to find out her story tomorrow.

Don't be a fuck up" I mentally prepared myself as I parked my car in the student parking lot and headed inside to meet Fluttershy, AJ, and Twilight. I close my locker once I grab the necessary books for my next class and head down the hall to English with Twilight. I take my seat after I fist bump a few girls I know from the soccer team. Pretty normal morning so far, boring teacher teaching a boring lesson that nobody but the smart kids including Twilight are paying attention to, guys staring at me while trying their best to give me a dashing smile. Don't get me wrong, guys are nice and all and I have dated a few but never really felt anything... “Magical?” I don't know what it is but I push those thoughts aside when the door slowly opens to reveal a girl that looks somewhat disheveled but I ain't judging. She walks in with her head down and hood over her head showing a little mix of blue and brown and hands shoved into her pockets. She hands the teacher a late slip. "Ah, you must be Emma, right?" She asked. "It's Em." she said ever so quietly. She nodded. "Everyone this is Em, she is an exchange student from England and will be staying with us for the rest of the year," The class just stared at her, some kids whispering here and there but she still kept her head down and avoided eye contact with anyone. "You can go have a seat beside Dash over there, Rainbow raise your hand" said the teacher. I raise my hand and she quickly took her seat. I can see her much better now. Her small frame fitted with ripped blue skinny jeans and a red t-shirt and a black hoodie over top. Her sea blue eyes avoiding everything but her phone screen. She pulled out her earbuds, put them in and started playing music. Probably to cancel out the teachers voice, and started bouncing her leg as she did so. Why? I don't want to be creepy but I can't help but stare at her. Why was she so quiet? Why does she look so sad? Why does she look so anxious? Why does she look so cute? Wait, what? *Ring!* The bell rang and she got up ever so quickly and was the first person out the door. I was so confused. This is gonna be a long week.
2View OnlineHold On2-4th week of school- ~Em~ I want to go home. Not back to the new house, back to my old house in England. I hated how I had to move here. All thanks to... "EMMA!?" I wince as I hear the front door slam shut and my mom yells for me. "Get yyyou're ass overrrr heeeere girl!" She slurred as she stumbled towards the kitchen. Great, she's drunk. Again. No point in running, I just deal with her constant yelling and beatings until she tires herself out. Am I scared of her? Yes. Am I scared of her beatings? No. I deserve them. "Y-yes mother..?" I say weakly as I walk into the kitchen. "Why the fuck are you just sitting around on your ass when this place is a fucking mess?!?!" She screamed in my face and punched me in the mouth a few times. "I-I-I'm sorry mother, I'll start n-now" I whimpered as blood began to pour from my lip. "You piece of shit! You're nothing you hear me?! You're a disgrace to me! You're a useless bitch that can't do a simple fucking task when you're told to!" She spat as she kicked me to the ground. I did nothing but take it. It's not like I can do much anyways. It'll pass. "You faggot! Nobody loves you! You're weak! You belong with those freaks back in England! You're a waste of a life! That's all you'll ever be! You're so fucking pathetic!!" she says as she kicks me in the stomach until I'm coughing up bits of blood. She spits on me and goes upstairs to her room and slams her door. "It's over for today Em." I say in my head. I attempt to get up but I failed and cry out in pain. I try again but fall; I eventually give up and just lay on the cold tiled floor crying for my pathetic life. I just wanna die.
