Rydia frowned as she entered the Crystal Empire Library along with her father and Twilight, Rydia saw a crystal pony sitting at a desk. Twilight asked “Hello, I wish to ask you something, do you have any books on before King Sombra’s reign?”

The mare shuddered at the mention of Sombra and the said “I can’t remember , I don’t even know if I work here.”

Cecil growled “Great, we’ll just have to search for some way to beat that bastard ourselves.”

Rydia smiled “Come on Twilight, let’s starts searching as there is no official Librarian we have free reign over the Library.”

Twilight’s eyes widened her smile growing just a little too wide “Free reign…” Cecil and Rydia watched as the Unicorn levitated one hundred books off the shelves and started to read them eagerly.

Rydia grinned “Let’s get our own sets of books and get started.”

Cecil grumbled “Why did I agree to go to the Library with the two biggest bookworm in the history of bookworms, I hate reading?”

Rydia turned to him “Did you say something?”

He shook his head “Nothing, my dear daughter.”

Rydia nodded “Good.” He sighed as he grabbed a few books off the shelves. Rydia smiled as she read book on crystal pastries “Do you two know that the Crystal Chocolate Chip Cookies had used actual crystal in their make, dragons loved them apparently?”

Twilight smiled “Really, I’d love to read more maybe you’d this book on crystal magic and it’s uses?”

Cecil groaned as he read through another book “I understand you love books but we have a bad guy to beat remember?”

Rydia frowned “How could I forget?” Her horn glowed green as she once again knocked the shadowy king away “He is dreadfully persistent.”

Rydia smiled “Ah a book on the Crystals Empire and it’s History, this should tell us something.”

Twilight and Cecil asked “Did you find anything?”

Rydia nodded “There is a ceremony for the something called the Crystal Faire, it requires something special for it to work. It is said to restore the spirit of love and unity in the empire, we just need to find the special thing first. She sighed as she felt something “Never mind, Edge will find it, he just left.”

Cecil said “Well then let’s set it up while we await his arrival.” Twilight,Cecil and Rydia left carrying the book with them.

Meanwhile

Edge traversed through the castle, jumping from one shadow to the next hiding from sight. He thought (If I was an evil emperor and I wanted to hide something where would I hide it.) He smirked (Of course the throne room a place where I could keep an eye on it at almost all times) he grinned as he headed towards the throne room through the crystal hallways.

Once in the throne room he sent a small wave of magic, he frowned as she felt his magic entangle with the wall behind the throne. He focused his magic on the wall and it dissolved revealing a staircase. He grinned as he darted down the stairs, hat the bottom of the stairs he sees a door,. He tried to open the door only to feel dark magic emanating from it.

He grimaced “If that’s how you want to play it then I’ll play you game.” His claw glows as he charges his claw with magic and destroys the door. He then scowls as he feels dark magic around, he puts up as shield of chaos magic and the notices there is nothing in the room, he scowls and leaves. He sees another door which he blows open and continues through only to find another set of stairs. He flies up them and sees the Crystal Heart atop the podium, he grabs it only for a bunch of shadowy crystals to appear around him.

Edge growls “Damn it!” He clicks his claws and the shadowy crystal breaks, he then teleports into the castle courtyard with a smile “I got it.”

Rydia smiled “Good work Edge.”

Edge smiled back “Anything for milady.”

He dissapeared as Twilight said “We need to set up the Crystal Faire.”

Rydia and Cecil nodded “Right.”
