Chapters Spike watched as the sun went down and the barrier rose from the trees that surround the castle the old castle on the hill. He looked around at the other contestants for the monthly game. He can recognize a few ponies that come for every game, besides himself, but he couldn’t see the one that he was hoping to come to try this game. Then he felt a tap on his shoulder. He jumped as he winced from the remembrance of last game. When he turned around to see the chest of Ember, his friend, and dragon lord. Ember said as she bent down to look at him in his face, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.
Spike shook his head and said, “You didn’t scare me, just tapped a sore spot. I’m glad you could make it.” When she stood back up, he gave her a quick hug and saw the coordinator was talking to Twilight. He grabbed her claw and started dragging towards the small stage.
Trixie was trying to do magic to impress others to drop out, Starlight trying to get her friend to come down, and a bunch of others was telling her to go away, Then she was levitated of and dropped on the ground as Ms. Harshwhinny got on the stage and Twilight stood next to them. Before Twilight could say anything, Ms. Harshwhinny cleared her throat and said, “Welcome to this month’s game. Let me go over the objective and rules. The objective is to be the last one alive, with each kill, you win one point, and if you are the winner, it’s worth five points. The rules are to not kill after the game’s done, to settle any grudges, do that next month’s game, don’t place your kill in any situation that they might die after the game is done. Alright, let’s see who’s new.” As she looked around, she added, “I see that we have a few new faces tonight and Octavia, are you and Vinyl going to be playing as well?”
Spike looked over to see Vinyl and Octavia standing there. Octavia nodded and said, “Yeah, I have to make it up to Vinyl for an argument.”
Ms. Harshwhinny nodded and said, “Okay, I’ll leave you to get started on hiding and when the clock chimes, you can get started. Twilight could you come with me to let me out?” Twilight nodded and waved to Spike before headed after her.
Spike turned on his heel and started heading towards the castle, but he was pushed to the side and landed on his butt. When he looked up, He saw Gilda’s face in his. He almost jumped out of his skin. She said, “What are you doing here? You are ridiculous and pathetic. Just stay out of my way.” Spike brushed himself and wondered why she was here and who invited her to the game. He shook his head and headed off to find a good hiding place so that he’ll survive to the last few. He decided to be in the library. When he got there, he smiled since it was the same like last time that he was there. He could hear chattering echoing throughout the halls, Then the bell that was placed in for the game chimed it’s reverberating low chime. The castle grew eerily quiet, then a quick scream that made his heart leaped into his throat with the realization that this game won’t be the same as before.
Vinyl and Octavia were in the ballroom when they heard the bell and the scream. Octavia said as she shrugged, “Guess it started and with both of us at 5 points, who do you want to be dead first?”
Vinyl shrugged and got an idea when Octavia turned around. She pulled her headphones off and snaked the cord around Octavia’s neck. Octavia felt the tug of the cord around her neck and opened her mouth to scream, but the actual headphones were shoved into her mouth so that she couldn’t scream. Once she recognized the headphones to be Vinyl’s, she relaxed and shed a few tears, as she now has her answer, her. Vinyl walked around her and wiped away the tears as she tightened the cord around Octavia’s neck. The was the last thing Octavia saw.
Vinyl kept tightening the cords as she watched Octavia’s eyes roll into the back of her head. After she stopped twitching, Vinyl released the cord and watched Octavia’s body hit the floor with a small bounce. Vinyl smiled as she flipped Octavia’s dead body and made it moldable to get her in place to have some fun with her. She pried open her mouth and pulled out her tongue, then she froze Octavia’s head the way it is and started rubbing the moist tongue against her pussy.
After a few minutes of waiting for a noise, Spike quietly headed for the door and opened it. He looked both ways to see no one there and sighed with relief, then he left the door a crack in case he needs a quick escape. He started down the hall, then he felt the wind fly over his head. He looked up and was about to scream, an inch or two above his head was an ax and on the edge was a part of his frill. He bolted around the corner to see Ember trying to get it loose out of the wall.
Ember looked down at him and said as she sighed with relief, “It’s just you, Spike, sorry for almost chopping off your head.”
Spike walked up and said as he slapped her on the back, “You chopped off my frill, but it’s fine. At least I wasn't beheaded.” She playfully winced from the hit and stopped trying to pull out the ax. Spike then added, “ Why don’t we stick together, two heads are better than one.” Ember looked like she was contemplating, then she nodded in agreement. Spike started walking through the caste, looking around every corner for the other contestants to this year’s game. Spike looked into the ballroom and waved to Vinyl, who was using Octavia’s head to get her off. Vinyl waved back and continued. Spike said to Ember’s look of disbelief, “That’s normal for the game. She is done killing.” Then he started walking again.
After Spike and Ember left, Vinyl resumed using Octavia that she didn’t notice a figure standing behind her till she felt a sharp pain go across her neck and heard a voice say, “You are disgusting and should’ve got a room.” She lifted her hoof it to see that it was blood. She closed her eyes and tried to hurry before dying from blood loss. She listened to the clicking of nails on the tiles as the killer was leaving. She knew a spell that would have slowed her heart down, but she needed the blood going and it was too late to cast it. As she had an orgasm, she fell back and passed out from the blood loss.
Adagio, Aria, and Sonata were walking in the forest that surrounded the castle. Sonata was asking too many questions about why they didn’t have any tacos. Aria got an idea, and Adagio nodded. She bucked Sonata into a tree. She screamed in pain and said with tears in her eyes, “Why are you doing this, We’re supposed to team up.”
Aria walked up and said as she started stomping on Sonata’s head, “The actual reason we’re here is to enjoy home, not listen to you complain that they don’t have meat here.” Sonata had tears streaming down her face, but couldn’t say anything through the pain of her skull cracking. Then her skull split up and her brain oozed out of the large hole.
Adagio said as she smiled, “Finally some peace and quiet from her. Let’s go look for others to have fun with.”
Aria nodded and was about to take a step when a bolt of lightning came streaking through the trees and struck her in the back. She let out a loud scream as her whole body shook and twitched from it. Her fur was smoking and smelled terrible. She collapsed on the ground with smoke spewing from her mouth. Adagio screamed in shock and started looking around for the killer, but couldn’t see them, then she felt something lift her up from behind and started dragging her back before she felt a sharp pain and more pain when her legs were let go. She looked down to see a branch sticking out of her chest. She coughed up blood and glared at the pegasus that put her there. Then she waited for the end of her.
Rainbow was leaning on a branch opposite of Adagio’s lifeless body, wondering how it was easy to get the last two of them killed, then she spotted Applejack walking through the woods and got an idea. She dropped down in front of Applejack and said, “Hey AJ, the last one to the bottom is the first on to die.”
Applejack tilted her hat and said, “You’re on.” She got ready to run and when Adagio’s weight broke the branch, she and Rainbow Dash took off,
Rainbow Dash made a small detour to shove a large boulder to roll down the side. As she was getting it situated, she saw something gleam through the trees, before feeling a burst of pain from her right eye. She stumbled back as he tried to dig whatever got stuck in the first place, but only was able to make it a lot worse and cover her hooves in blood. She leaned against the rock and felt it shift underneath her and fell with it as it started to roll down the side, but not before have the thing ripped out and sent on its way. Rainbow screamed everytime her body smacked a rock poking out. She closed her good eye and waited for all the pain to end so that she didn’t have to feel every broken bone in her body.
After Applejack left Rainbow in the dust, she leaped off the edge and rode it down to the bottom, only being stopped by areas with big rocks poking out.
Once she was to the bottom, she searched to see if Rainbow was waiting for her, and was glad that she didn’t, then she stopped in case that it was a trap, that’s when she heard the boulder rolling at her. She leaped to the side and the boulder flew past her and Rainbow’s body stopped next to her. She quickly checked her pulse to find that it was faint, and looked up to see the boulder falling above them. She tossed her hat out and waited for the boulder to crush them. At least it was painless.
Spike was chatting with Ember on how the other games went when a shadow appeared in front of them. Spike jumped and bumped into Ember, then he recognized the voice to belong to Rarity, “Oh my goodness, I wasn’t expecting you to be around the corner, Spike. I see you decided to team up with Ember, and show her the ropes. I don’t mean an actual rope.” Spike sighed, someone always has to remind me of my mistakes, but he’s glad that Ember doesn’t get the hidden meaning.
He brought out of the past when he heard Ember yell with a wind past him, “Spike, watch out.”
Blood splattered across his face and Rarity’s headless body stood in front of him. Spike turned to see Rarity’s head on the blade of an ax. He let out a scream as he fell back and said as he watched Ember step over him to pull out the blade and started walking towards the body, “Why did you do that?”
Ember looked back at him and said, “I know you are a little dragon, but you need to grow up. She was about to kill you.” She started to cut off the legs, as Spike picked up Rarity’s head. He tried to see if the head could tell him if she was about to kill him, then he heard a voice yell at him, “Spike, what are you doing?” He screamed as he fumbled with the head, till he dropped it on her horn.
He looked up to see Tempest slowly walking towards them. She held her head up high as she looked down at them, like there were insects, and said, “I guess I can kill both of you quickly.” She looked at Rarity’s chopped up body and added, “You really didn’t have to go that far, beheading her would have been sufficed.”
Spike didn’t know what to do. He heard about how good she was but hasn’t seen it before. As he was crawling away, he saw a spear flying towards them. He yelled at Ember as he tackled to the ground while pushing the ax out of her claws. He looked up to see Tempest with a surprised look on her face, as she gurgled on her blood. The spear was lodged into her throat. Spike ran up to her back and pulled on it to get it out of her throat. Tempest fell to her knees with her eyes growing dim with each pull. The shaft was slippery from blood, but it finally budged out. He fell on his rump and watched her take her last step and breathe before collapsing in a heap. He called out to Ember but didn’t get a reply. Fearing the worst, he threw the spear away and ran to see Ember perfectly safe, just knocked unconscious. He fell next to her and started laughing.
Twilight watched from the shadows of the castle's entrance and muttered under her breath, “I’m sorry, but he is my kill.” She was about to take a step and felt something slip over her head. She was a bit confused on where it came from since she was alone a few seconds ago, that's when it tightened around her neck and started to lift her to the chandelier. She squirmed and tried to escape, but she still had a headache from Applejack stomping on her horn. Her breathing started to grow shallower. As she noticed a silhouette of something moving. She started to grow more and more frustrated with not knowing who was killing her. She sighed and stopped struggling, due to her knowing that she won't escape from hanging this time, and won't be winning this month.
Spike had stopped laughing at his luck with surviving this long and having his friend survive as well. He got up and walked over to where he left Ember and started to wake her up. Ember shifted as she groaned and said as she clutched the side of her head that hit the wall, “Damn, that hurt. I'll be feeling that for a while. How long was I out?”
Spike shrugged and said, “Don't know, I think a few minutes? I think we should get moving, so we aren't caught in the open.” Ember nodded and stood up as Spike headed into the into the woods.
Ember felt bad about lying to Spike, but he wouldn't understand. She glanced around at every noise, then she muttered to herself, “Wish I still had my ax.”
She felt something like her throat and a voice whispered in her ear, “So I can use it on you?” it was a quick pain and she felt something wet going down her chest. She could tell by the stench of iron and where the wetness began that her throat was cut open. She gripped her throat and looked around for the assailant, but couldn't find them. Then she tried to scream at Spike to get his attention, but no voice came out. Her vision was starting to grow more and more blurry, due to blood loss. She collapsed to the ground and gave it one more try as she sat up and leaned against the chair, but this time with more force. He didn't come running, either because he was too far, or her voice was working. She lost movement in her arms and her last thought before her life drained out of her was that she was going to experience death for the first time.
After a few minutes of silence, Spike turned around to see that Ember wasn't following him and he couldn't hear her. He wanted to call out to her but didn't want the others to know where he was, then a voice sent chills down his spine, “Aw, is the lizard lonely. How about I rejoin you with your friends” Gilda came out from behind the tree a good 4ft away from him. He guessed that since she's new, she'll be in for a surprise, but he wasn't going to die right there. He waited for her to sprint at him, then he lunged right under her and took off running. He could hear her running through the branches from the snapping of them. He poured more speed into his running. He didn't want to be caught by her to be tortured before death.
He nearly tripped over a body. He cried out when he realized that the body belongs to Ember. He turned at 90 degrees and headed for the castle since there were doors that he could hide behind, but he had a feeling, as he passed Tempest's body, that it wasn't going to be that easy.
Spike looked behind as he ran in, Gilda was just walking towards him and she was right to do so, there wasn't an escape to get away from her. There were 2-3 hours left and chances are that they were the only ones left. As he was looking back, he bumped into a body hanging there. He didn’t have to look up to see who it was. Dangling like a worm on a hook was Twilight’s hind leg with her cutie mark.
He tore his eyes away when he heard Gilda’s nails across the wood and her say, “I see that you found my second to last kill. She was going to kill you, so you should be thanking me.”
Spike scrambled to his feet and hurried off into the castle, hoping that he could lose her or find a way to kill her. HIs footsteps stopped at a more than familiar voice, “He’s right there, we could get a kill.” Standing in the nearest doorway was Trixie followed by Starlight. She looked like she was in a fight, her left front leg was up in the air, her left eye was closed to blood running down her face. Starlight said nothing behind her, just stared at him with regret.
That’s when Spike and Starlight realized that Trixie was making a giant ball of magic, Starlight grabbed it with her magic and said, “Slowly release it, that will kill us all and there won’t be any winner.”
Spike didn’t want to tell them that Gilda was still alive since Starlight was trying to save him from a massive death. Trixie said as she placed more magic into it, “I know what I’m doing, just let go of it.”
While they were arguing, Spike slipped out and headed further in. As soon as Spike was at the stairs that lead higher, there was a massive explosion that shook the building. He had to grab the handrail to keep him from falling back down. He turned around to see Gilda brushing off some rubble. She looked up and said, “It will take more than that to stop me, Runt.” Spike forced his legs to move to climb him to the top of the tower.
He scrambled to the top while listening to Gilda yell threats at him. He knew that he couldn’t run forever, but the more time he had, the chance he could have to come up with a plan. But he came to the end of the line, and without a plan. He turned around to see Gilda breathing as heavy as him, but with more strength to kill him. He said as he backed up to the edge, “Wait, can’t we discuss this?”
Gilda shook her head and said as she stepped closer, “We could if you didn’t run off and make me chase all over the castle.”
It was unearthly silent when a voice called out as it got louder, “Get out of the way, I can’t stop.”
Spike didn’t have to look over his shoulder to know who was coming. He dived out of the way as a blur sped past him and ran into Gilda. He peered over as Gilda was cursing and tearing clumsy Derpy to pieces as they fell onto the roof. After a few minutes, the bells rang, making his ears hurt due to him being close to them, signaling that the game was over. He sat down and let the hot tears stream down his face with relief that it was over.
After a few minutes to pull himself together, Spike headed down to see if anyone needed help. He lept two to three steps at a time, then he was sailing through the air. He looked up to see Rainbow flying him to the entrance, where the other’s were gathering to congratulate the winner and put the game behind them. She didn’t say anything, but the look on her face and how she was moving. She was in a lot of pain.
Once they landed, Ember, Rarity, and Twilight all ran over to him and was hugging and congratulating him on his first win and how long he lasted this time. Ember said as she coral him to the stage and through a hoarse voice, “Is it always like this?
Spike shrugged and said, “Pretty much, and I suggest getting someone to help you rule over the dragons while your throat heals.” Ember didn’t say anything and nodded.
As Spike climbed up on the pedestal, Ms. Harshwhinny said as she placed a medal around his neck, “As a token of winning this month’s game, you get this month’s medal, a small sack of bits, and the option to choose up to 3 ponies, or players to play next month.”
Spike saw that Ember’s eyes widened with excitement and horror. Spike noticed that Vinyl and Octavia were down. He spoke up and said, “I’m not going to force them to come next month, but I choose Ember, Octavia, and Vinyl. What do you gals say?”
Octavia looked at VInyl and said as she was answered with a nod, “We’ll be back next month.”
Ember looked up at Spike and said, “If you’ll be here, I’ll come.” Spike nodded and hopped down from the stage.
As he was walking back into Ponyville, he noticed that Gilda wasn’t with them, she probably ran off to lick her wounded pride, but what caught his attention was two ponies dragging a third away as she was kicking and screaming to be released. The medal felt heavy around his neck and he told himself that he’ll try harder next month.
Author's Note
It's finished and as I said at the beginning, I'm never good at figuring it out on paper. It was the first story to gather experience on a new writing style. I'm sorry that it didn't turn out good.
If anyone wants to continue the universe of this, be my guest, but I won't be writing any more of Hide and Kill.
