Starfleet Season 2 (Rewrite)

"That's good, chica!" Dyno cried.

"Get that rock over there!" Myte added. Sapphire used her magic to lift and break multiple large boulders so Dyno and Myte could get the gems they needed. When she was done, she panted a little. "Thanks, chica." Dyno thanked.

"Your welcome boys." Sapphire said.

"Sapphire, darling~"

"Sapphire?"

"Huh?" She turned around and saw the girls approaching her. "Hey girls. what's wrong?"

"I need your magic to help me with some new dresses." Rarity said.

"I need your help with some harvesting." Applejack added.

"I need your help with some cupcakes." Pinkie claimed.

"I need your help with my animals." Fluttershy added.

"I need your magic to help me and the pegasi with the weather." Rainbow replied.

"Woah... uh.. alright." Sapphire replied.

So she used her magic to help the girls with all the stuff they asked for. Each time she was finished, she felt a small pain in her horn for some reason and it increased every time she lit her horn. She didn't think anything of it, but boy, would she be wrong in the morning.

The next morning the girls, Lightning and the team were at New Canterlot Palace to discuss new plans against the Alpha Gang, but Sapphire was late. "Where is Sapphire?" Grand Ruler asked. "This isn't like her."

That's when the door opened and in staggered Sapphire. "There you- OH MY STARS! What happened to your horn?" Rarity cried. Sapphire's horn was redish-orange and was throbbing a little. "I don't know, it hurts every time I try and use my magic, Look." Sapphire lit her horn, but she felt a sharp pain, "Agh!"

"Oh dear, that looks serious." Rarity said.

"We better get you to the doctor." Lightning suggested. Everybody agreed and took Sapphire to the sickbay. The doctor got a good look at her horn. "Ah yes, just as I thought. Sapphire, you've got a Tired Horn."

"Tired Horn?" Everybody repeated.

"Yes, it happens when a unicorn uses his or her horn too excessively causing the nerves inside to be overused, causing any attempt at magic very painful." The doctor explained. "Sapphire, did you use your magic for anything yesterday?"

"Well... I helped Dyno and Myte get some gems, helped Rarity decorate her dresses, helped Applejack with her apple harvest, helped Rainbow with the weather, helped Pinkie Pie with some cupcakes and helped Fluttershy with calming down her animals." Sapphire answered. The doctor winced. "I think that was the cause of you Tired Horn."

"So what do we do?" Lightning asked.

"Sapphire you have to rest your horn for a few days, so absolutely no magic; that means no fighting."

"No fighting? At all?"

"But what if a dinosaur appears or Team Rocket?" Lightning asked.

"She can enter those battles but for any other battle, she has to sit out." the doctor replied. Their majesties agreed. Sapphire sighed and she soon found herself laying in bed with her horn bandaged up.

She let out a deep sigh, feeling bored. "Oh Sapphire~" a voice sang. Rarity and the girls entered the room, "Hi darling, how are you doing?"

"Yeah why the long face?" Pinkie asked.

"I feel restless and bored out of my mind." she replied.

"Now sugarcube, it's not that bad. Everybody needs to relax once in a while, even us." Applejack reassured.

"I know, I know, but still." Sapphire added.

"I know how you feel." Rainbow sympathized.

"Well, me and the girls just came to see you and I'm here to give you your dress that I just finished. The dress was light purple with white features like a white piece of cloth around the bottom and there were purple jewels in the form of a necklace.

"Wooah, thanks Rarity." Sapphire gasped, completely astounded by the dress. "Anything for you, darling."

"We'll take to you later, sugarcube." Applejack said.

"I hope you feel better." Fluttershy said.

"Thanks girls, bye." With that, the girls left.

That's when Sapphire's pokemon entered.

"Hi Sapphire, how's your horn?" Ampahros asked.

"Still a little sore, but as long as I don't use any magic with it, it should heal up in a few days." Sapphire said.

"That's good, let's just hope nothing happens." Dusk claimed.

Meanwhile, in New Everfree Forest, Team Rocket were right outside a cave which was the resting place of the Roc; a large bird of prey with giant and sharp talons and a large beak. "Jesse, just stick that hypnotize machine onto it's head and we'll control it's every move." Meowth said.

"And with this creature we'll capture those ponies no problem." James added.

"Right." Jesse carefully and quietly walked up to the Roc. The bird was sleeping peacefully. When she was in a few feet of the creature she gently stuck the small machine, which was in the shape of a small satellite onto the bird's head. And she zipped out of the cave. "Now Mewoth."

"Right." Mewoth pressed the button on the controller and the satellite lit up and the bird was shocked awake. It's eyes were glowing red. "Perfect, now let's go get those ponies." James said and Team Rocket laughed sinisterly.

Meanwhile, Lightning and his entire team were at the Cake's Cafe. Mykan was with them as well "So girls how's Sapphire doing?" Mykan asked.

"Bored out of her mind." Rainbow replied.

"Poor thing, I know how she feels." Starla sympathized remembering when she was pregnant with Shining Light and was on maternity leave for months. And being strictly and action pony, she got bored quickly.

"Well, she needs her rest, if she wants to get better. " Buddy said.

"Yeah." the girls said.

"I still feel bad for making her like this." Fluttershy said.

"Yeah, me too." Rainbow added.

"No girls, none of you could have known that was going to happen. It's not your fault, or Sapphire's. She was just being a good friend." Lightning reassured.

Suddenly, there was a huge squawk and ponies screaming in the streets. "What in tarnation!" Applejack cried. The team went outside and saw Roc chasing after some ponies. "What's that beast doing here?!" Rarity screeched.

The Roc heard her and squawk at the ponies and dove right towards them. "Lookout!" Spike cried. Everybody dove out of the way, avoiding the Roc's talons, but the bird circled around and snatched the team, including Mykan, into it's talons. "WAAAAHHHH!"

"Not good." Mykan said.

Lightning and his friends were in the right talon while Mykan and the girls were in the left talon. "What do we do?" Fluttershy asked, shivering in fear.

Luckily, the alarms were sounded and Sunrise saw everything and dahed to the castle. "Sapphire! Sapphire!"

"Sunrise, what is it?"

"A giant Roc kidnapped Lightning and the gang, including Mykan."

Sapphire gasped, "Oh no! Quick, we've gotta get to New Canterlot. Dragons!" Snowflake and the dragons appeared at once, "Get us to New Canterlot, guys." Sapphire replied as she and her pokemon mounted the dragons. They flew off to New Canterlot and were immediately called into the palace. "Sapphire, you should be in bed resting!" Grand Ruler scolded.

"No time." Sapphire replied.

"She's right dear, Lightning and and the team are captured by the Roc and we have to save them." Celestia said.

"Looks like this calls for Dragonmon Patrol." Sapphire said.

"Noctowl, Skystorm, I need you two to track the Roc."

"Yes ma'am!"

"But Sapphire, the Roc can fly. How are the rest of your pokemon going to help?" Grand Ruler asked.

"They can use their flight packs to help them." Sapphire replied. "Snowflake, Dusk, Midnight and Sunrise, I need you to use your x-ray vision googles to see which talons Lightning and the team are trapped in."

"These claws uphold the laws." They all said.

"Alright everyone, let's go. Your majesties you come too." Sapphire said. "Dragonmon Patrol is on a roll!"

Noctowl and Skystorm all side down the slide and into their helicopters. Snowflake, Dusk, Sunrise and Midnight activated their flight packs and flew out the window along with Sapphire and their majesties.

Meanwhile, Lightning and his friends were trying to break free from the Roc's talons. "Agh! It's no use!" Rainbow cried. "We're totally trapped in here."

"What are we gonna do?" Mykan asked.

Suddenly, Rarity and Starla's horns glowed and a screen popped up. "Guys."

"Sapphire!" Everybody cried in glee.

"Hang on guys, we'll save you."

"Alright." Lightning replied.

"Roc, X-Ray vision googles!" Dusk and Sunrise ordered. Their packs glowed and a pair of visors appeared and they scanned the Roc. "Lightning and his team are trapped in the right talon." Dusk reported. "The girls, Spike and Mykan are trapped in the other." Sunrise added.

"Dusk, Sunrise, go for the right talon. Midnight, Snowflake, Noctowl, Skystorm go after the left talon." Sapphire ordered. The team nodded and headed off.

Team Rocket was hearing everything thanks to the little speaker on the controller. "We can't let them steal our catch!" James said.

"Yeah, yeah, don't worry, they'll never get through the Roc." Mewoth said with confidence.

Sapphire was looking closely at the Roc and thinking, "Sapphire, what is it?" Grand Ruler asked.

"Something's fishy about this Roc. He wouldn't just attack out of nowhere." Sapphire said. "Something's making him do this."

"You really think so?" Celestia asked.

"Let's take a look." Grand Ruler said. Their majesties and Sapphire flew over the Roc and scanned it's body. "Hey, there's something glowing on it's forehead." Sapphire zoomed in on it's head with her vision and saw a small device on it with some familiar initials. "Team Rocket!"

"Team Rocket?!" Their majesties echoed.

"They have a device on the Roc's forehead, so they must be controlling it. We have to get that device off after we rescue Lightning and the gang." Sapphire added.

Dusk and Sunrise flew below the left talon. "Lycanroc." they howled.

"Dusk? Sunrise?" Starla called.

"We're here, guys, we'll get you out of there." Dusk claimed. Dusk went to the talon and used Bite on it. The Roc squawked in pain and opened the talon, letting Lightning and the others freefall. "Lycan, Net!" Sunrise said. His pack opened and a cannon was released it and it released a net that caught Lightning and the team. "Lightning and his team are secure." Sunrise said as he and Dusk landed in a clearing in the forest.

"Great work." Sapphire praised.

Team Rocket gasped, "That twerp, Meowth lose those pests." Jesse exclaimed.

"Right." Mewoth moved the controller, making the Roc move as well. The Roc squawked and dove towards the ground. "After it!" Snowflake ordered. Noctowl and Skystorm followed the Roc's every move. Swerving through the air and diving in and out of the clouds. Mykan, Spike and the girls were getting tossed inside.

"Mykan, watch it!" Rarity scolded.

"Not blame me!" Mykan replied.

"Not time to be agruin'." Applejack stated.

Snowflake, Noctowl and Skystorm caught up with the Roc. "We have to get him to open that talon."

Snowflake fired her plasma blast at the talon, but the Roc didn't react. "Nothing." Their majesties, Midnight and Sapphire flew beside them. Skystorm fired her magnesium blast at the talon. The Roc cried in pain and opened it's claw, leaving Mykan, Spike and the girls hanging on by the talons. Their majesties gasped. "Guys, catch them with the net!"

"I got them." Snowflake dove beneath the dangling group, "Guys, let go!"

"What?!" Mykan cried. "Are you crazy?!"

"I'll catch you guys, I promise!" Snowflake called.

"Well.. alright then." The girls and Mykan let go and they all fell onto Snowflake. The dragon managed to stay in the air. "Excellent catch, girl!" Sapphire praised. "Now for the Roc." Sapphire flew up to the Roc's forehead and grabbed the device. She pulled on the device as hard as she could.

"Mewoth, don't let her break that device!" James said. Mewoth moved the controller violetnyl, making the Roc shake it's head irratcially. "WOAH! GAH!" Sapphire didn't lose her grip on the device until with one final toss, she pulled the device off of the Roc, freeing it from the control. It's eyes turned back to green and it flew off, squwacking.

"She did it!" Spike cried.

Sapphire sighed but then realized something... she was heading right towards the ground. "Wah!" she tried to spread her wings. Too Late.

CRASH!

The entire team gasped. "Sapphire!"

They all rushed down to the crash site. "Ooooooowwwww."

The team looked and saw Sapphire laying on the ground with her bandage off with her wing was bent in a weird position. "Sapphire!" Mykan cried He came to her side, followed by everyone else. "Ugh!"

"Oh dear, her horn looks even worse!" Spike exclaimed. Her horn was now really really red! "And her wing doesn't look goo either." Sapphire's left wing was bent and swollen. "We better get her to the hospital."

"Right." Mykan gently lifted Sapphire into his arms and Grand Ruler teleported them all to the hospital.

Soon, Sapphire was layed up in bed... again with her left wing in a cast and an ice pack resting on her horn.

At the hospital, the doctor told everyone that the crash injured her horn again and broke her left wing so now she was grounded... sorta (cause she can always use her dragons) and restricted on using magic more than ever.

Sapphire sighed sadly.

Knock Knock Knock

The door to her bedroom opened and in walked Mykan carrying a bouquet of flowers. "Hey Sapphire."

"Hi Mykan.

"I brought you something to help cheer you up." He handed her the flowers. They were peach and aquamarine flowers. "Aww, Mykan." she cooed. She took the flowers and smiled.

"So how's your wing?"

"The doctor said I can't use it for a week; same with my horn and magic."

"Don't worry, you'll be back in action in now time."

Sapphire smiled at her boyfriend, "Thanks Mykan."

"No problem, that's what a boyfriend's here for."

Then they heard a tiny roar and saw Blitz and the chibi dinosaurs standing in the doorway and they didn't like Mykan getting all of Sapphire's attention. "You might want to run, Mykan." Sapphire teased. Too Late. The chibi dinosaurs pounced on Mykan and munched on his limbs. "Ow, Blaze, Stop it. Blitz No!" he laughed as the dinosaurs continued their jealousy 'assault'. Sapphire couldn't help but laugh as her jealous little chibi buddies assaulted her boyfriend.
