The Next Day...

Vinegar left her apartment building and headed back to the café where she met Cherry. Currently, she wore a red-and-black-striped tube top with a short black skirt. She then proceeded to head to where she saw the white mare leave. Nothing seemed to stick out to her as being out of place so she kept walking. She crossed her arms and looked around, hoping to see something that caught her attention.

“Right here,” came a voice that made Vinegar jump and spin around. “Hey.”
“Hey,” the yellow mare replied. “Trying to give me a heart attack?”
“Apologies,” Cherry cooed. “Now, mind telling me why you’re looking for me?”
“I wanted to make a proposal.”
“Oh,” Cherry chuckled. “Well… I do.”

“Go on.”
Vinegar sighed before she continued. “I know you have a cop. Sun Chaser. And from what you said, it sounds like you’re using her for fun.”
Cherry shrugged. “My boys are. But my mares are more into me.”
“So, I propose… me… in exchange for Sun Chaser.”
Cherry crossed her arms and eyed the mare up and down. “That’s some offer you’re making.”
“Obviously, I wouldn’t be able to stay with you. Not without getting Shrill and Trill even more frantic. But I don’t live with them, and can keep my window open.”
Cherry chuckled. “Well… That is something. In order for this to be fair you’d need to be… well worth it.”

"What about Eris?"
Soarin sighed. "She can't help. The laws of her kind forbid it."
Vapor was about to say something when they heard a commotion outside. Soarin jumped to his feet as he and Vapor left the office. Misty, Angel Wings, and High Winds were running out the front door. Soarin and Vapor eyed each other before they took off running after them. When they got outside, they saw a car speeding down the road as Misty was using her jacket to cover up a naked Sun Chaser.
"What the hell happened?" Soarin asked as he ran over to help.
As he and Misty helped up the crying mare, the Chief eyed him. "A car stopped and dumped her off. No plates."
"Cherry."

Soarin gave her a nod before she turned and made her way across the street. Soarin watched her leave before he looked both ways down the sidewalk. Vinegar watched Cherry make her way back to the car and get in.
"What was that?" Vinegar asked.
"The gift of anonymity, sweet Vinegar," Cherry cooed. "I kidnapped two of their cops, killed one, violated the other... after hospitalizing two others... and I just walked right up to one and said hi . And he had no idea who I was."

The draconequus looked around at the other shoppers and then landed in front of the mare. “What do you want?”
“I assume you know who I am.”

Eris kept her scowl. “Really?”

The orange unicorn sighed. "I wish you and Vinegar would let me walk . This forced hospitalization is absolutely and completely unnecessary."
"We only care about your health," Shrill said as she set the soup on the bedside table. "But don't worry. Soon you'll be walking around like your old self once again. Just hang in there a little longer. Meanwhile, I have brought you some soup. I figured you could use something warm to eat. Or, perhaps... sip."
Trill sighed and sat up as she scooted backwards against the pillow. "Alright."

Eris sighed and sat up. “Well, then… I can honestly say good luck. You’re gonna need it.”
Cherry eyed her again. “You know something. Tell me.”
The draconequus shrugged. “I can’t. But I do know what’s coming and I have already started preparations. Whether you win or lose here and now … makes absolutely no difference.”
Cherry scowled. “I will win. Your mind games won’t work on me.” She then gathered up her clothes and started to get dressed.
Eris watched her. “I truly hope, one day, you find happiness. And that when the time comes, you’ll make the right choice.”
Now dressed, Cherry stood up and sighed. “Could you…” she started to ask, remembering that Eris’ bedroom had no door.
Eris nodded and snapped her fingers. Cherry suddenly found herself outside on the sidewalk. “Stupid slut,” the white mare grumbled as she walked away.
3:00pm
Shrill and Trill lay on their bed, staring up at the ceiling and only wearing their bras and panties. "Think Coco's okay?" Trill asked.

"Cherry Bomb ?" Trill asked, wanting further confirmation.
"And it got me thinking... there's something much bigger coming. If you all manage to win this and defeat Cherry... Well... I need your help if we're to stand a chance."
"Something bigger ?" Trill asked.
Eris nodded. "Mmm. Normally, I'd rope Soarin into it but they're busy at the moment."
Shrill and Trill eyed each other before Trill spoke. "So what do you need?"
"From you , nothing. I need someone who can walk, so... Shrill will have to go alone."
"Go?" The purple mare asked. "Go where?"
The draconequus chuckled and sighed. "I should've mentioned... The reason I've had to ask you mortals for help is because what I seek is in an alternate reality. And there can only be one me in each reality. You, however, can cross over."
"W..." Shrill stammered. "B... Alternate reality?"
Eris nodded quickly. "Mmm-hmm, yeah. I sent Soarin to a reality where the Six ruled. I'm honestly surprised he made it back. This time..."
"The Six ?" Shrill asked.
"This time, I need something from..."
"The six of what?" Trill asked.
Eris sighed deeply. "The bearers of the Elements. The reason evil exists in the first place. May I continue?" Shrill and Trill just eyed each other and shrugged. "Anyways, the reality I need to send you is ruled by the Council of Chaos."
"Chaos?" The orange unicorn asked. "Isn't that your thing?"
"Yes, the... Council killed my brother in that reality and absorbed his power. I'm actually a crazy bitch in that world and have a good relationship with the Council. When you bump into them, tell them Eris sent you."
Shrill crossed her arms. "Let me get this straight. You want me to travel to an alternate reality that's ruled by chaos -wielding psychos to find something for you to help prevent a future disaster in this reality?"
Eris' eyes shifted back and forth. "Yeeeeeeeeeeesssssss . Sound good?"
The purple mare shrugged. "I don't..."
"What else can you do right now? Got five days left before you can attack Cherry, right?"
"I'm assuming this... future disaster of yours will ruin this city?"
Eris shrugged. "I don't have all the details. And I can't see the future. But it won't be good."
"If you can't see the future... how do you know what's coming?"
"I can see into other realities so I know what's coming. So, feel like helping stop a calamity?"
Shrill shrugged. "Sure. You can guarantee that they won't kill me?"
"Trust me. You'll be fine. Just fine."
"Alright. I'll do it. For the city," Shrill sighed as she sat up.
"I'm going, too," Trill said as she also sat up.
"But..." Eris started.
"Stuff it," the orange unicorn snapped. "I'm done laying around. Where my sister goes... I go."
The draconequus nodded. "Alright. Fair enough. Just remember to dress sexy."
"Dress... sexy?" Shrill asked.
Eris smiled. "Trust me."

Shrill and Trill looked around and found themselves in what appeared to be Manehattan, only it was covered in neon lights and every building was shiny and tall. It almost seemed like the future. They had both put on clothes before they were sent here. Shrill wore a one shoulder crop sport bra and a red mini skirt . Trill wore a rib knit halter crop top and a red tennis skirt with white knee-high socks. Both wore red platform open-toe high heels .
“What the hell is this?” Shrill asked. “Everything’s so… bright.”
Trill looked around at the few ponies that walked the streets. Some seemed neutral but most seemed afraid or sad. “The result of the Council, I take it.”
Shrill noticed a couple civilians eyeing them while on the phone. “Why am I getting a bad feeling right now?”
“Kind of like everyone’s watching you?”
“Keep your guard up, sister.”
They soon heard the sound of an approaching engine. Looking down the road, they saw a white limo with tinted dark blue windows approaching them. It had a giant purple diamond spray painted on the hood.
“Should we… run?” Trill asked.
Shrill shook her head. “Eris sent us. If we run, we look suspicious. Stay calm.”
“Right.”
The limo pulled up as the back windows rolled down, revealing Rarity with a strange tattoo around her right eye. It appeared to be a circle with six spikes sticking out from it, evenly spaced from one another.
“So,” the white unicorn began. “you are the orange unicorn and purple earth pony who appeared out of nowhere?”
Shrill nodded. “Eris sent us.”
“Eris, the sweetie,” Rarity cooed. “Now, what does she want, I wonder?”

A purple stallion was strapped naked to a chair in a dark room. He looked around, breathing heavily as he tried to break free from his bonds. It was no use. Whoever tied the ropes sure knew what they were doing. The only light came from a single bulb above him, creating a faint spotlight. He soon gave up and just sat there... until he heard a voice.
“That was fucking pathetic,” came a female’s voice, chuckling. “Entertaining, though. I love it when little shits like you squirm.”
“Please, I... I don’t know anything,” the stallion pleads, trying to find the source of the voice.
“I don’t... believe you...” the voice said before the stallion felt a hand on the back of his neck. “But, I’ll give you a chance to come clean,” she said, before slowly stepping into the light.
She was a white mare with long spiky hair down to her butt. It had a pink and orange gradient and her magenta eye had an x-shaped pupil. She wore a skimpy red top that only covers her breasts. The low-hanging shoulder straps exposed her black bra straps and tightly hugged her D-cups. She also wore a short red skirt, that only hung about a couple inches, over ripped black skintight pants. On her feet she wore red boots, on her left arm she had on a black, fingerless glove that went up just past her elbow, and on her right arm was a torn pale glove that was about the same length. The stallion leaned back and chuckled. "Didn't do anything. Really?"
Midnight looked past the stallion before he heard a chuckle from behind. Looking over his shoulder, he saw Dusk laying on her back on her bed, hand in pants. "Mmm..." the dark blue mare cooed. "Tell him."
Midnight sighed as Soarin returned his attention to her. "She told me to play along. Play the role of Deputy and try and track her down, no matter what. She also told me something big was coming, but wouldn't say what in case it compromised my cover. I acted normally and brought all the back-up I had on hand. I didn't know about the bomb."
"Didn't know about the bomb," Dusk repeated, jerking her rod inside her pants. "She almost turned on me. I had to talk some sense into her and get her back on track."
"Do you have to do that here?" Soarin asked as he looked back at her.
Dusk stopped her movements and sighed. "Well, I'm sorry, but I don't have Fray or Coco anymore. Speaking of which, have you found Fray yet?"
Soarin shook his head. "Not yet. But, we're still looking."
The blue mare smiled. "Good."
Thunderlane ran into the room with a look of worry on her face. "Deputy," he said. "We found a body. Chain's Garage."
Soarin stood up and turned to him. "A body? Could you elaborate?"
The captain nodded. "Looks like it's been eaten."
Soarin squinted his eyes. "Eaten? Like... by an animal?"
Thunderlane nodded. "Not much left of the torso, face, hands... or dick."
Soarin stared at him in disbelief. "Excuse me?"
Misty Fly stood in front of a chair with a mangled corpse in it. The entire front's been chewed out while the arms were still strapped to the chair's arm rests. "Goddamn."
"Ma'am?" Soarin said as he entered the room. He walked around the car that was still on the lift as he made his way over to the body. "Room full of dangerous equipment and the killer resorts to cannibalism."
"It's only cannibalism if it was another pony," Misty explained. "Could be a... griffin... timberwolf..."
"Timberwolves haven't been seen in years," Soarin pointed out. "And, you think a griffin could do that?"
"See the tearing?" Misty asked. "Only sharp teeth could've done that."
"Maybe someone had a dog?" Soarin suggested. "You can train a dog to bite someone's dick off."
"Whatever it is... it's pretty weird," Misty sighed. "I don't like this."
"Weird," Soarin repeated. "I think I know who to ask."
Soarin led Misty inside Eris' shop. It was busy, as always. "I don't think I've ever been inside here," Misty said as she looked around.
"I doubt many cops have," Soarin replied before they spotted the draconequus chatting with someone.
Eris' ears twitched before she stopped talking and looked over at them. She then looked at the customer and said something else before she began to make her way over. "Will you ever not come to me for help?" She asked.
"That Timberwolf piece you had me bring back," Soarin started. "We found a murder that could've been done by something with sharp teeth."
Eris' eyes narrowed. 'You accusing me of murder?"
Soarin shook his head. "Just if you know anything."
The draconequus crossed her arms and eyed the floor. "Of course I do, but..."
"But, what?" The stallion asked. "Tell us."
"I... can't."
"What? Why not?"
Eris hesitated before she walked up to him and held out her right hand. "Lemme show you." Soarin accepted the hand before Eris held out her left hand to Misty. "You, too."
Misty was more hesitant but ended up accepting the hand as well. Their eyes began to glow white as the world around them changed. They soon found themselves in the corner of Eris' office. Before anyone could say anything, the door burst open and another Eris stumbled in.
"What is this?" Asked Misty.
"This was right after I helped you," Eris explained. "After I told you about the nuke."
The past Eris started to groan as she stumbled into the center of the room and collapsed. She then rolled onto her back and screamed as she arched her back. Part of her left arm began to visibly dissolve into particles. The whole time, the draconequus screamed in pain.
"What's happening to you?" Soarin asked, taking a step forward.
"I'm dying," Eris said plainly, making the other two stare at her with soft gasps. "As I said, a god of chaos needs chaos. I helped you stop a nuke, and I told you about the nuke. Not very chaotic, is it?"
The past Eris used her still-existing hand to snap her fingers. The walls of the room turned to gingerbread and the floor turned into a chocolate pool. The past Eris fell in with a splash and, as she writhed in the chocolate, the particles from her other arm began to come back together.
The present Eris sighed. "I had to surround myself with as much chaos as I could. Otherwise..."
Soarin watched as the draconequus in the chocolate rolled over onto her belly and propped up her upper half with her hands. He walked over to her and knelt down, staring at the goddess' face. Tears poured from her eyes and he could clearly see the pain on her face. The goddess sobbed more before she hung her head. The vision faded away before they found themselves back in the shop.
Eris let go of their hands and their eyes stopped glowing white. Soarin blinked a few times before he gently took Eris' hand again. "I've never seen you like that before."
The goddess looked away. "We don't really show our vulnerability to others. But... I wasn't crying from just the pain."
"Then... why else?" The stallion asked.
"Because, I... Because, I realized that I... am essentially useless to you."
Soarin let out a silent gasp, not believing what he was hearing. "You aren't useless," Misty spoke up as she stepped forward. "You helped us out in a big way before, and we owe you so much. But, I think we can take it from here."
Soarin nodded. "Yeah. You just… take it easy, okay?”
Eris gave them a light smile before Misty turned to leave. Soarin, however, pulled the draconequus into a hug. Eris was stunned for a moment but ended up hugging back. “Vapor’s lucky to have you.”
Soarin chuckled and broke the hug. “I’m lucky to have her .” When Eris eyed the floor, her smile fading, Soarin knew something was wrong. “What? What is it?”
“Nothing, I… I just wish I had someone, too. I mean, you seemed to really enjoy Vapor’s tits and… she seemed to like you touching her…”
“I’m sure you… Wait,” Soarin said with a light chuckle. “Were you watching us?” Eris simply shrugged in response. “Well, I’m sure you’ll find someone right for you.”
Eris smiled at that and looked at him. “Full transparency… I thought that was you.”
The stallion’s eyes went wide. “Oh… Really? Me?”
The draconequus nodded. “I wanted to say something sooner but… by the time I was ready, you… Well… You just seemed so happy with Vapor.”
“I-I, um…” Soarin muttered. “I’m sure you’ll find someone else. I mean, you’re… you. You’re awesome.”
The draconequus chuckled and gave him a light push with her right hand. “Go solve your little murder.”
“Oh, yeah!” The cop gasped. “I’ll see you later, then,” he said, before he ran out of the shop.
“Yeah,” Eris muttered. “Later.”
Outside, Misty was standing by the car, waiting. “There you are.”
“Sorry about that,” Soarin apologized as he ran over to her. “She just told me she had a crush on me and… well, it sort of blew my mind.”
Misty sighed and opened the passenger door before walking around to the driver’s side door. “Just get in. And, try not to seduce anyone else today?”
“Hey, it wasn’t on purpose,” Soarin said as he got in the car. “But, there is one more place we can check.”
Eris watched them drive off before she left the window to resume her job.
“Are you sure about this?” Misty asked.
Soarin nodded and opened the double doors leading into the Demon sisters’ fashion company. They walked across the lobby to the receptionist. The mare at the desk was a dark yellow unicorn wearing a fancy black dress gown. Her hair was long and silver with a black skull clip keeping strands of hair out of her left eye. She looked up at them and closed the magazine she was reading.
“How can I help our city’s finest?” She asked in an unenthused young adult voice, putting her around 21 years of age.
“We’re looking for Shrill and Trill,” Misty said. “Just need to ask them a few questions, Miss…”
“Vinegar,” the mare said, before she pressed a button on her desk intercom. “Hey, there’s two cops here looking for the bosses.” She then went back to staring at Soarin and Misty. “They’ll be down shortly.”
Misty smiled and eyed the black dress. “Say, that’s a lovely dress you have on.”
“Thanks. It reminds me of death.”
“Okay…” Misty muttered. “Well, we’ll just wait over here.” She then pulled Soarin aside. “She’s fun.”
The stallion chuckled. “At least the sisters are coming.”
“Maybe,” Misty replied as she crossed her arms. “Didn’t get much confirmation.”
Soarin looked over at the receptionist. "I say we wait a few more minutes. Then, we'll try again later."
Misty nodded and crossed her arms. "Do you really think they're involved?"
The stallion shrugged. "They're shady. I know that for a fact."
"Do you think they'd tell us even if they knew?"
"Not sure. It depends on how it affects them, I guess."
"Well, look who it is," came a familiar voice. The cops looked over to see the orange unicorn approaching them, wearing a shoulderless black dress. "Sorry for the wait. We're in the middle of planning our next catalog."
"No apology necessary," Misty Fly greeted. "We just have one question for you and then we'll be on our way."
"Oh?" Trill asked. "What is it?"
"We found a body," Misty continued. "Looked like it was tied to a chair and then eaten by an animal."
Trill stared at them. "Uh... And, you're asking if I know anything?"
Soarin nodded. "Yes."
The orange mare sighed and shook her head. "Why would I know anything about that?"
The stallion let out a soft chuckle. “Just covering all our bases. I mean, you two are suspected of being crime bosses like Dusk, right?”
Trill’s eyes narrowed. “Those are the allegations. However, you will never find anything linking us to a crime.”
“Maybe,” Soarin said plainly. “Then, let this be a friendly warning. If you are involved in criminal activity, you might have some competition looking to take Dusk’s place.”
He then turned and started walking away. Misty gave the orange mare a light smile before quickly running after Soarin. Trill watched them both leave before she made her way back to the elevator.
Outside, Misty and Soarin entered their car. “Was that really wise?” Misty asked as she looked over at him.
“If they are what we think they are, then maybe they can deal with this problem. Besides, I’d rather have them run this city than whoever’s out there eating bodies.”
Misty nodded and turned on the engine. “Fair.”
