{Alex}

We left immediately after Pinkie Pie disappeared. We stopped at a parking lot for a grocery store down the road.

"Well," said Violet, "at least we aren't responsible for any damage that happens while we're on an assignment. Because the PPA is a well guarded secret and a lot of time damage does happen when you're tracking down a rogue pony."

I looked over to see Princess Twilight visibly upset, so upset she was shaking now. I put a hand on her shoulder to get her to look at me. "Please calm down princess, you're scaring me."

"Huh?" Princess Twilight asked. She looked at me and somehow that seemed to be enough to calm her down. "You know something Alex? How a kind person like you got together with an evil woman like Mary is beyond me."

I gave her a smile and Violet chuckled. "You know Alex has been smiling ever since he met you?"

I didn't hear Violet's comment because I was more concerned about Princess Twilight for the moment. She looked at me and grinned. I raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"I didn't really notice your smile much until now. I think it's cute," Princess Twilight commented.

"I uh…" I said. I felt my cheeks turn red so I looked away. Princess Twilight looked into my eyes and kissed me. I broke the kiss after a moment or two. "Okay, what was that for?"

"Because I like your smile," said Princess Twilight, "and not only am I going to keep you smiling, I'm going to make you laugh in front of not just me but everyone around you!"

Aww, you sure found a keeper, Alex! Star thought I think she's going to bring you happiness for a long time to come!

I smiled and thought, Gee, thanks Star.

No problem! Star thought.

The next thing I know is there was a chorus of the 'awe' coming from Violet, Simon, and Abigail.

Later that night, we figured we should stay at a hotel so we could figure out what to do next. Since Princess Twilight and I were now a couple, we stayed in the same room.

As soon as we got into our room, Princess Twilight changed back into her pony form. She sat down on the couch and made a motion for me to sit next to her. "Alex, there's something I want to talk to you about."

"Okay." I said. I gulped.

Princess Twilight smiled. "I can understand your nervousness, but this is a good thing I think. I have a feeling you might be concerned about our living arrangements and about how this relationship is going to work in general."

I didn't respond because I didn't know what to say. She continued, "Well, I for one hope that we'll be together for a long time. Even if we break up, it would be my hope that we could still remain friends."

I opened my mouth and shut it in surprise.

Princess Twilight giggled. "As far as our living arrangements go, I'm not going to make you quit a job you love to do. I'm pretty sure you don't want me to quit a job I love doing either. So, we have two options. We can live in the castle in Equestria and you would still be able to do your job."

I tilted my head. "But how?"

"It would be a little complicated," said Princess Twilight, "but I'm pretty sure that I could talk to Princess Luna and we can work something out. The other option would be to stay at the PPA HQ and I would be able to do my job also. My job as the Princess of Friendship is to spread friendship everywhere I go. Since I'm on Earth now there's more opportunity for me to do that. According to Fluttershy, all of the elements of harmony have moved on to finding new bearers. So it makes it easier for us to keep going with this relationship. That is, if you want that, I understand if you don't."

I smiled and reached over and kissed her. "You know something Princess? You're a keeper, and that's what I plan to do for as long as I can."

Princess Twilight giggled and kissed me and this time she put her tongue in my mouth. She smiled afterwards. "And Alex? Don't call me Princess anymore."

"Why?" I asked.

"Because you're my special somepony," answered Princess Twilight, "just call me Twilight. But only you can do that. To everyone else it's just Princess Twilight. However, you could use the word princess as a pet name if you want."

"Hmm," I said, "I think I'll have to come up with something better, but okay."

I felt myself getting aroused by the thought of giving Twilight a pet name and I had no idea why. I gave a nervous laugh. "Um, Twilight, I think we should just go to bed and call it a night."

Twilight smiled. "Yeah, sure. I don't think we should share a bed yet."

I nodded. "Sure."

I don't know why, but I felt relieved at the thought of not sharing a bed with Twilight just yet. I agree it's not time for that yet.

The next morning, everyone met up at the lobby of the hotel we were at. Violet pulled Twilight off to the side. She whispered something into Twilight's ear. I could tell that whatever Violet was telling her, it peaked her interest. I wasn't so sure if I wanted to know what Violet told her. Mostly because of how enthusiastic her response was.

Twilight nodded. "Uh-huh, yeah, I got it."

As Violet continued to whisper into her ear she smiled. "Oh, so that's where you get those from! And a backpack too? That's perfect! Now I can do my research the proper way, unlike Pinkie," Twilight looked into her pants pockets for something, "Good, I should have enough money here, I'll be right back."

My jaw dropped when I saw Twilight disappear in the blink of an eye. I narrowed my eyes at Violet, "What did you tell her?"

Violet smiled and shifted her gaze. "Nothing! I didn't tell her anything that she didn't need to know!"

I gave Violet a wary look, "Uh-huh. I don't want to know."

Violet gave me a mischievous smile. "Actually, I'm curious to see what her reaction to her research will be. She did say she wanted to research you. So I just pointed her in the right direction to do things properly, as she puts it."

I looked over to see Abigail chuckling.

Before I could say anything, I had a vision. Not about Pinkie, but about Twilight. Twilight and I were sitting on the couch in my apartment. She pulled out of her backpack some sort of book. She said something but I didn't hear what it was, and when she handed me the book the title on it was censored. She then reached over and kissed me. That was the end of the vision.

I opened my eyes to see Twilight had reappeared with the backpack I saw that she had had in my vision. She looked at me with excitement. I rolled my eyes, "Yes, I had a vision, but it wasn't about Pinkie."

"Who was it about?" Twilight asked.

I pointed at her. "It was about you. It wasn't very clear, but it's going to happen in a week."

Twilight's jaw dropped, "Whoa, wait, how do you know how much time until the vision happens?"

I thought about it and then paused because I didn't know the answer to that question. "I uh.. I don't know, I just do."

Simon titled his head, "What's this about visions?"

"Can I tell them Alex? Please!" Twilight begged.

I nodded. "Sure Terra, go ahead."

"Well, you see Simon, Alex is someone called a Seer," Twilight explained, "It means he can predict the future. He also has other talents too speaking to the dead. As you saw, he can also know how much time is left until the vision happens."

"He also has an exploding star crystal that's around his neck," Violet added, "It's to help with his visions so he doesn't pass out like he did when it first started happening."

"Interesting," said Abigail, "is that how you tracked us down so easily?"

Twilight smiled and nodded, "Uh-huh and that's how Alex was able to find out that you guys called Pinkie the 'Bonfire Killer'. That's also how he found out that Abigail hates it when Simon says the word okay twice in the same sentence."

Abigail snorted at Twilight's remark, "Yeah Carter, doing that really gets on my nerves."

"And your negative attitude gets on my nerves." Simon snapped.

When Twilight saw me biting my tongue she rolled her eyes when she saw me holding in my laughter, "You know you can laugh, right Alex?"

I sighed, "Sorry Terra, but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon."

Simon's jaw dropped, "Wow, you weren't kidding when you said Alex couldn't laugh in front of people."

Twilight sighed, "Unfortunately yes."

I wanted to say something about this annoying conversation and I was about to speak up when I had another vision. It involved Pinkie getting into contact with someone. It was a young man that looked like he was possibly younger than me. He had brown and blue eyes and he wore a black t-shirt and tan shorts. He was in a garage working on someone's car. The phone rang and he stopped working on the car to go answer it. The strange thing was the vision faded out and when it faded back it flipped to Pinkie's point of view.

"Yes, is this Dalton?" Pinkie asked, "I need your help once more. I don't know how but those agents of the PPA are able to track me down way too easily. I need a place to stay for a day or two."

Pinkie paused when she listened to Dalton's response and she wasn't happy about it. "What do you mean you can't help me anymore? …. Why you're just being selfish because you're putting your family first... I'm the selfish one? …. Seriously! ... Fine then, you're making a big mistake... You're not afraid of me huh? …. We'll just see about that!"

Pinkie hung up the phone and turned to another pony that was in the room with her. "I don't understand Bon Bon, why is everyone turning on me all of the sudden?"

Bon Bon answered, "Well, usually when the PPA has stepped up on their efforts to track down a rogue pony like you, that's when people and ponies that have helped you start singing a different tune. I don't blame them because if they get caught helping you, then their whole life is turned upside down. It would be all because of helping you out. You're here illegally, so what more can you expect?"

Pinkie went to another room, sulking as she did. The vision faded out again and when it came back into view the vision had flipped over to Bon Bon's point of view. She went over to a nearby phone and picked it up with her hooves before she used a special device to punch some numbers in on it. She then attached a special hearing device to the phone. I'm going to guess that it was so Pinkie couldn't hear her conversation.

"Yes, Lucky," whispered Bon Bon, "can you put me through to Agent Lawrence? I have some more information on the rogue pony she sent Agent Alex Shipman and Agent Violet Client after."

She wrote down an address on notebook paper, I saw the address and thought, Did you get that address Star?

Yup, Star thought, I got it.

The vision continued as Bon Bon nodded and she got through Agent Lawrence. "Yes I know, I can't let Pinkie get wind of the fact I'm the informant that's working with the PPA. If she finds out I might be the next victim of her 'research'. Yes, yes I know, see you soon."

After Bon Bon's phone call to Agent Lawrence happened, the vision ended. I found it funny that all of Pinkie's friends were turning on her now. I didn't realize I let out a small laugh until Twilight said something about it.

I gave her a puzzled look, "What?"

Twilight grinned. "I heard that Alex."

"Uh, heard what?" I asked.

"You laughed." Twilight said.

I raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"

Simon smiled. "I heard it."

Abigail also smiled. "That makes three of us."

Violet chuckled, "And that makes four of us. From the looks of it, you laughed because of the vision, so I don't think it counts."

"It counts in my book!" Twilight smiled, "A laugh is a laugh no matter where it comes from or what it's about! Even if you've gone psycho!"

"What was so funny in the vision?" Violet asked.

"Well practically all of Pinkie's 'friends' or 'little helpers' are now turning on her," I answered, "It was a strange vision too. It flipped to different points of view in it."

"Huh, really?" Twilight asked, "Hmm, interesting."

Twilight took out a notebook and a pen from her backpack. She started writing things down. I raised an eyebrow at her. "Okay, anyway, the vision started with some guy named Dalton's view point. When he got a call from Pinkie he told her that wasn't going to help her, which she wasn't too happy about. Then the vision switched to a pony named Bon Bon's point of view. She called our boss Agent Lawrence to give her some information on Pinkie's whereabouts."

Violet paused, "Wait, why would Bon Bon be talking to our boss?"

"Because she's an informant for the PPA," I answered, "from the looks of it, she's getting ready to turn Pinkie in herself. The meeting with Agent Lawrence is going to happen tomorrow. I'm not sure if it's a go."

"Why?" Simon asked while tilting his head.

"Well, if Bon Bon's meeting with my boss," I said, "then it might interfere with the progress of tracking Pinkie down."

I paused and looked down at Star to see she was pitch black. Twilight looked down at Star. "Why is your crystal black?"

I sighed, "It means I've decided not to go along with the vision."

"So what do we do now?" Violet asked. I could tell by the worried look on her face by the corners of her mouth turned into a frown. She looked up at me as if she were looking to me for answers.

"Why am I the leader of the group?" I growled.

"Well, you're the one with the Seer abilities," Violet said, "so it makes sense you should be the leader."

I was annoyed by this, I had half a mind to go my own way, with Twilight of course, and let everyone else figure out how to catch Pinkie on their own. I grit my teeth, "I'm not the leader just because I'm a Seer. Last time I checked, you guys aren't robots and you can think for yourselves!"

Violet looked taken aback by this response. "Wow, you look pissed!"

"Yeah, think?" I snarled. I had never been this angry with Violet before. I was getting ready to wring Violet's neck when Twilight stepped in between us.

"Okay, you two calm down," said Twilight, "Violet, did you really need to do that? Alex is right, just because he has these abilities doesn't mean he has to be the leader. Trust me, I know how it feels. My friends did that to me back in Equestria. It happened because my special talent is magic. I was the one that discovered the elements of harmony. That helped my friends and I defeat Nightmare Moon. I say we all put in suggestions and figure out what to do as a group."

Abigail smiled and nodded. "Terra's right about this. Carter and I might have a boss but it's up to every detective to think for themselves to help solve the case. You don't make top ranks by just following orders."

Simond agreed. "Yup!"

So for thirty minutes we went to the breakfast room to talk about what to do next. In the end all of us finally agreed to go back to the PPA Headquarters.

Zane chuckled, "Wow, I'm surprised Alex didn't figure out a way to kill his partner Violet right there on the spot. Good thing Princess Twilight stepped in."

I couldn't help but agree with Zane. Ever since I started watching Alex and he had started working for the PPA, I noticed Violet has a habit of pressing Alex's buttons. I smiled and nodded. "I'm glad Alex and Princess Twilight are together now. She makes a good fit for him. I think those two will be together for a long time."

"Looks like it to me," Zane said thoughtfully, "what I'm wondering is how Alex can tell how much time until a vision comes true."

I shrugged. "I don't know. Alex is one of a kind as far as half children go. From what I know, only I can do that. Most half children can only see the future and not tell how much time until a vision takes place. That's why Alex is my favorite half child!"

Zane whistled. "Wow, I wonder how many other talents he's going to develop."

I shook my head. "I don't know. I guess we'll just have to wait and see."

I didn't know about Zane at this point, but how Alex was able to tell how much time until a vision could come true made another reason for him to be my favorite half child.

Once we went back to the PPA HQ I paced back and forth in my living room thoroughly frustrated that we had arrived at another dead end. I could tell Twilight was concerned about me because of the look on her face. I sighed. "Sorry Twilight, but this has been the most frustrating assignment I've ever been on! All these dead ends and Pinkie disappearing on us every single time right in front of us? One would think with my stupid abilities the we would've caught her by now! I'm worried about failing this assignment! I don't know what I'll do if that happens!"

"Alex calm down," said Twilight, "just because you fail at an assignment doesn't make you any less of an agent. Believe it or not, I actually failed at a couple of assignments after becoming a princess of Equestria."

The fact that a princess could fail at an assignment surprised me. "So how did you fail at an assignment?"

"Well, the first one I failed was before I became a princess," Twilight explained, "it was from Princess Celestia. I had to write a letter every week about what I learned about friendship. I missed the deadline on one of them and I went completely berserk. It wasn't until my assistant Spike stepped in and told Princess Celestia what happened and it helped calm down all the craziness."

Twilight's story actually gave me some sort of relief and I tried to comfort myself with this. But I was still frustrated about all the dead ends. Without warning, I felt a small surge of power go through my body. The feeling of being frustrated left me.

I knew the power surge came from Twilight because I looked over to see that her horn was lit up. The light from her horn disappeared. "What did you just do, princess?"

Twilight chuckled. "It's called the Calm Down Spell. Before I became a princess, I thought about using my magic to be a doctor to help ponies recover at the hospital. I discovered the calmer ponies are the faster they would recover. I figured since you're so frustrated now this would be a good time to try and see if it works on a human. It did, considering your calm now."

I smiled. "Thanks."

Twilight then put her wing around me after I sat down on the couch next to her. I felt the warmth of it coming from her wing and her body.

"You know Princess Celestia would always do this with me when I was upset," said Twilight, "and I can tell it's helping you."

I didn't say anything. I just sat there, not wanting to move. After a while I started to feel sleepy because of Twilight comforting me.

"You look tired now," Twilight said, "Maybe we should both take a nap?"

I reluctantly nodded, not wanting to move from Twilight's comfort.

Twilight laughed. "Since it looks like you don't want to move, I can help you get to bed."

"Uh, huh?" I asked.

The next thing that happened Twilight gripped me in her magic and floated me over to my bed. I was sound asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

* * *

That night, I thought I was dreaming. I thought this because I found myself on my back on the ceiling in my bedroom. I stared down at my bed in horror when I realized where I was.

Okay, how did I get here? I thought.

I looked to see Twilight looking at me and she looked at me expectantly as if I needed to answer her question that I couldn't hear. Just like the last vision I saw of her, she floated a book over to me. The title of the book was blurred and I couldn't see what it was. I opened the book up and the pages were blurred and I couldn't see what was written in them. I looked down and felt nervous when I saw that I was naked. After that I woke up.

I woke up in a panic because I had a feeling that wasn't a dream but a vision. I knew it was going to happen tomorrow. I looked down at Star and confirmed it because she was glowing green. I agreed with the vision. I heard her laughing inside my head, Wow Alex! It looks like you two are going to start having sex soon. Didn't you two just get together a couple of days ago?"

Yes, this is much quicker than when I started having sex with Mary, I thought, we had sex after two weeks of being together. I hope Twilight doesn't get me drunk for it like Mary did. Although it didn't seem like it in the vision.

Uh, Alex? Star thought.

Yes? I thought.

You know that vision that you had before was going to happen in a week's time right? Star thought.

Yeah. I thought.

Well, it changed course. Star thought.

Lovely, so I'll be hanging from the ceiling tomorrow. I thought.

Oh come on Alex, Star thought, I doubt it's going to be that bad. It's just sex.

I'm not freaking because I think it's going to be bad. I thought. I'm freaked out because of how it's going to happen!

Star chuckled in her thoughts, I think it would be fun if I was on the ceiling to have sex with someone.

I laid down on the bed and took a couple of deep breaths to calm myself down. The more I tried to do that, the more nervous I was because of how this vision was going to play out.
