The Pony Protection Agency
20) Preparing for the Kill

The next day before the time limit was up for the vision I had with that was going to come true, Violet, Abigail, Simon, Twilight, and I met up at the café. Simon smiled when he saw the engagement ring on my finger.
"Well now, I never thought I'd see the day when I saw a man get proposed to instead of a man proposing to a woman," Simon chuckled, "Don't see that everyday. That's not the way it happens in my family."
"If you're in the gay community," said Abigail, "then yeah a woman would propose to their girlfriend. Although I'm one of the first lesbians in my family. A lot of them don't really know I'm gay."
Violet tilted her head, "Wait, not everyone knows you're gay? Interesting, because everyone in my family knows I'm gay and I'm accepted. I came out of the closet the first chance I got."
"Yeah, while some people are confident about that, others aren't," Abigail said.
"Oh," Violet said.
"To be fair, I'm not a human, I'm an Alicorn," Twilight said, "In Equestria, if you're a pony of royalty, then it's the mare's duty to propose and actually according to Princess Luna once a pony has found their mate, the only thing they know is that they want to buy a ring for their love. That's what happened to me. When I talked to Princess Luna about it, she cleared things up because I knew I wanted to be with Alex forever. She told me that I wanted to propose to him. So as you can see, that's what I did."
"The funny thing is," I said, "I was thinking about getting Terra a promise ring after we caught Pinkie. I was going to wait until we had been together a little bit longer for a marriage proposal. But she beat me to it."
"Awww." Violet, Abigail, and Simon said.
"Bon Bon just gave me the address of where she and Pinkie were staying before they went to the apartment complex where we last saw her. I visited her last night at the medical area," Violet said. She pulled out a piece of paper. "Oh yeah, Bon Bon did tell me that Pinkie Pie would probably be in the basement somewhere, unless she hasn't kidnapped her next victim yet."
I deadpanned, "We all know who her next victim is going to be."
Violet looked down at the floor. "Well, let's go get this over with. I really don't want to do it this way. I just hope nobody gets hurt."
"Yeah, let's go." I said.
I could tell nobody wanted to leave PPA Headquarters, but just like me, they knew it needed to be done in order to catch Pinkie.

{Pinkie Pie}
Normally I don't do this, but this time in preparing for a kill I don't clean my tools for it. But this kill is going to be special, because it's going to be either one of those agents of the PPA chasing me or Twilight or all of them. That will make plenty of meat and blood for me for a while. That should send them a message about not tracking me down. But it could backfire on me too. The PPA might send more agents after me with their determination.
I stood in front of a mirror that was down in the basement in front of the sink. I sighed, "Well Pinkie, you didn't want things to come down to this, but it has to be done. They won't stop chasing after me! Besides, who needs rules anyway? That Twilight just doesn't know when to stop either. I don't know what happened to Bon Bon. She's probably told those agents of the PPA where I am by now."
I looked around at the basement room and nodded as I checked everything off on my list that needed to be cleaned all the way down the table that I would tie my research subjects on. I even placed boobytraps around the entrance of the basement.
I nodded and smiled. "Alrighty then! I'm ready! Let's go kill those stupid agents of the PPA!"

The closer we got to the apartment complex where Pinkie would be, the more nervous I got. When we finally arrived Violet helped Abigail off her bike and I helped Twilight and Simon off mine.
I paused when I saw the front of the apartment complex.
Twilight frowned. "What is it?"
"I didn't have a vision of how I would wind up being Pinkie's research victim, just that I would," I replied, "I guess that's another loophole in the visions."
Out of nowhere we heard Pinkie's voice. It sounded like she was overly excited to see us this time. "Looking for me?"
"So you're out in the open this time, huh?" Twilight snapped.
Pinkie gave a sinister smile and nodded. "Yes. Yes I am."
"Is that sinister smile supposed to scare us?" Twilight asked.
Pinkie looked like Twilight caught her off guard by saying that. "Oh no, that wasn't supposed to be a sinister smile! It was supposed to be a happy welcoming smile." Pinkie gave a nervous laugh after that.
Twilight raised an eyebrow. "Uh-huh, yeah right, you use smiling as a way to hide your evil intent. I don't trust you anymore Pinkie. You're not pulling the wool over my eyes this time."
Pinkie snapped her fingers. "Damn it! If only I had my welcome wagon with me."
"Why would we care about your stupid little welcome?" Twilight growled. "Do you really think that's going to work?"
It looked like Pinkie was forcing herself to give us a sincere smile. She started to sing, "Come one everypony smile, smile, smile! Fill my heart with-"
"Shut it Pinkie!" Twilight shouted. "Just SHUT-UP!"
"Okay, okay, fine I'll stop singing, shoot," Pinkie said, "I know what you guys want from me but you must know it's not happening."
"Oh really?" Twilight snarled.
Pinkie gave Twilight the stink eye. "Yeah, you stupid bitch!"
Pinkie then touched the pendant to her magic necklace and disappeared.
"Oh hell no!" Twilight said, "More than likely she's probably where Bon Bon said she'd be, come on let's go!"
Great, now would be a good time to have a vision so things can change course. I thought.
That was wishful thinking because Twilight somehow found the entrance to the basement very fast. I looked in horror to see that Twilight was getting ready to run into a trap. It was a rope tied to the banister on the staircase.
"No!" I said. I grabbed Twilight and got her out of the way just in the nick of time. This action set the trap off. The rope wrapped around my ankle and slammed me against the wall it was tied to. That was when the world went dark.

{Twilight}
I panicked when I saw Alex go into that trap and the trap was tied to a trap door next to the banister to the staircase. "No! Alex! No!"
"It's not okay but we'll figure out a way to save him," Violet said. I could tell by the tone in her voice that she was trying her best to keep me calm enough to think of a way to save Alex.
Think Twilight, think… I thought.
Then I remembered something, when Pinkie would set her traps to capture another research victim her favorite one was the wall that was the secret rotating door. This was because once her victim got trapped, all she would have to do was tie them on her work table. The only problem with this is the trap can only pull in one victim at a time. At least that's the way it works for Pinkie. It's not true for me. I used my magic several times to make the traps that Pinkie set clear to ponies in the hopes that they would stay away. But unfortunately because of the smile song ponies just walked right into them anyway.
"Hmmm," I said to myself.
"What are you thinking about princess?" Violet said.
After I was able to break out of the magic restraints that Pinkie would use on me, I kept trying to think of a way to keep ponies from falling into her traps. Another problem with that was that when Pinkie was done with her research she would use a bonfire that would be started with a magical device to get rid of the evidence so it would just be my word against hers that anything ever happened.
The plan that I thought of was to use my magic to detect the trapdoor and go out the opposite way that I could go get help. But this time I was going to use my magic to go into the trap so that way I could save Alex.
"I have a plan," I said, "but you guys won't be able to come with me on this. Although I bet there's some sort of back door to the basement. Or at least I hope there is."
"So what are you going to do?" Simon asked.
I pointed at the secret rotating door that Alex just went into. "I'm going to use my magic to get into the trap. It's only big enough for one person at a time to go through. I know how this trap works, if you go in the wrong way you'll just get stuck. If my plan works, we'll capture Pinkie and save Alex, hopefully he won't die on us."
"But, Alex can't die!" Violet said, "He's half god and half human."
I sighed, "I don't mean physically, I mean mentally. If Pinkie winds up making Alex pass out by having that fish hook go through his chest, he might never be the same again, especially if we don't capture Pinkie."
Violet nodded. "I understand. Now go, save Alex before that happens and we'll be right behind you!"
With that, I changed into my pony form and started to break into the secret rotating door that Pinkie pulls her victims through.

The next time I opened I looked around. It looked like I was in a dimly lit room and there were all sorts of tools hanging on the wall in front of me.
"Well, well, well," I heard Pinkie say, "looks like my research subject is finally awake! Now we can have some fun!"
I looked in front of me to see a pink pony with dark pink hair smiling at me. "Let me guess, you're Pinkie Pie."
Pinkie gave a small clap with her hooves. "Bingo! Give the man a prize!"
Great, now what do I do? I thought.
Aren't you the one who always comes up with a plan? Star thought.
Yeah, but this time I'm stumped. I thought.
"Helloooo!" Pinkie shouted, "Anybody home?"
"Huh?" I said. I rolled my eyes because this was the part when Pinkie would start asking me to sing her 'smile song.'
"Hey Alex," said Pinkie, "do you want to do me a favor before you die?"
I groaned, "Does it involve singing?"
"Wow, you're good, how did you know?" Pinkie smiled.
"Because I just do!" I snapped.
"So I was wondering if you would be a dear and sing my smile song with me?" Pinkie asked.
"Hell no! I'm not singing with you even if you paid me to!" I snarled.
"Aw, come on!" Pinkie whined. "Just once, please? You're going to die anyway."
Pinkie whined and paused when she saw the engagement ring on my finger. "Well now, Mr. Agent of the PPA, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you're engaged to my good friend Twilight! She is a pony of royalty and the color that's on the ring matches her fur. Well I would say congrats but you're not going to have a wedding with her, because all of you are going to die."
I raised an eyebrow. "All of us?"
Pinkie nodded. "Oh yes definitely! You're all going to die very soon."
