My Little Pony: The Prince of Friendship

Previously on Prince of Freindship, a mysterious male anthromophic black fox showed up and revealed that he was there to test the Sonicbolts before dropping the mother of all bombshells: He's there to test Lightning Dust specifically. The fox proceeds to tell Lightining Dust that in order to pass the fox's test, the would-be Sonicbolt must vanquish her demons. Thinking this was a fight, Lighting Dust accepted and that's when the curtain was peeled back and the fox showed that he could control the forces of nature. With ever growing winds, Lightning Dust had to keep pushing her limits, and now the winds are as strong as a hurricane. Just as Lightning Dust began to struggle against these high pressure winds, Lightning Dust closed her eyes, and that's when the strangest thing happened: Her life was being played back to her.

It seems the demons Lighting Dust must vanquish are much more personal then the mysterious black fox had let on. It wasn't physical demons Lighting Dust had to fight, rather it was her own personal demons. And if she was to have any hope of making it as a Sonicbolt, she would have to fight these insecurities here and now.

Lightining Dust was forced to watch her past play out before her, starting with her first ever failure to be the last one of her age to fly. She managed to bounce back later though, when she won her first ever flight race. But her losses were just beginning. Her second failure was just as strong: She lost ten races in a row before she actually showed up her competition a few months later after intensive training where she managed to win the whole junior flight circuit.

The young fliers competition was up next, and while she had lost, it was understandable as there was no way she was going to top a sonic rainboom to save the wonderbolts from a falling Rarity. Even her father understood that this loss was an understandable loss. Besides, Lighting Dust did at least get second place. This did make Lighting Dust determined to show up Rainbow Dash one day.

It was something she'd come to regret later as the biggest demon of her past was thrown in her face: The Tornado Incident and subsequent discharge from Wonderbolt Academy. Needless to say her father was not happy about hearing about his girl's involvement. He not only proceeded to cut her from the family fortune, but also decided she would no longer be considered a part of his family.

Of course he later would try to contact her again after hearing how she helped an inured wonderbolt warn Rarity that Insightful Wraith was after the fashionista. But Lighting Dust had already decided that if her father didn't want his only daughter in his life anymore, she would not include him in his life anymore and no longer consider him family. She would get through on her own.

And with that last thought, thinking of how she would show her father she will always bounce back against all odds, the air suddenly cracked as Lightning Dust used her willpower of showing up her father once and for all, she had finally done it: She had broken the sound barrier.

The black fox smiled as Lighting Dust broke the sound barrier and dodged out of the way of her maneuver after which Lightining Dust opened her eyes and managed to control herself enough to slow down from breaking the sound barrier for a safe landing.

"Lighting Dust, are you okay?" Rainbow Dash asked. Even though they were rivals before, Rainbow Dash still cared for Lightning Dust. Even if the later was the only one who considered herself Rainbow Dash's rival.

"I'm fine. Just a little worn out from breaking the sound barrier for the first time." Lightning Dust said. "The adrenaline though...is that how you feel every time you break the sound barrier?" She asked.

"You bet it is. And way to go on that too." Rainbow Dash said. "I knew you could do it." She added, and hugged Lighting Dust who smiled and hugged back.

"She was only able to do so because she managed to fight the demons within and win." The black fox said. "Call me crazy all you want, you can't deny the results now can you? By the way, congratulations, you passed Lightning Dust. You conquered your insecurities and came out much stronger then ever before. Something you will need in the future." He added.

"What do you mean?" Lightning Dust asked.

"There's a darkness coming, and my time of being the hero has long since passed. It is no longer my place to be the hero." The black fox said.

"Hero? Who are you, really?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"My name is Rob Snowden." The black fox said. "And I am a former Justice Hero." He added.
