My Little Pony: The Prince of Friendship
Season 3: Episode 4 - No longer the S-ame
Previous ChapterNext ChapterIt was a normal day in ponyville, when suddenly Rob dropped his cup of milk; the contents spilling everywhere.
"R-rob?" Patra asked her husband.
"He's back. Why does he always come back?" Rob asked.
"Whose back Rob?" Patra asked.
"Slade Johnson." Rob answered. "The man who murdered my mother." He added.
Meanwhile, at the Cutie Mark Crusader clubhouse, the three best friends were hanging out with their special someponies as well as Silver Spoon. The entire group included Silver Spoon, Diamond Tiara, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Spike, Scootaloo, and Rumble.
Suddenly however, a lone male human kicked the door the clubhouse so hard, the door was broken. This man had a sword in his left hand and the most destining smile on his face.
“Who the heck are you?” Diamond Tiara asked.
“Slade Johnson. Now if you don’t mind leaving…I have a job to do. Scootaloo, your day has come to die.” The man said
“As if we’re going to let you-“ Apple Bloom said before suddenly Slade was tackled to the ground after being knocked out of the way by Shade.
“Go. I’ll take care of this.” Shade said.
“I know you will.” Scootaloo said and left with everyone else but Slade.
“You again…” Slade said.
“Yes it is. And this battle will be our last.” Shade said.
As the group rushed out of the clubhouse they encountered the main 6 right outside alongside the Sonicbolts, Flash Sentry, and Cheese Sandwich.
Suddenly as the group catches their breath, Slade came flying out of the wall of the clubhouse with Shade flying out after him just as Rob and Patra join everyone.
“What the-whose the Iron Man Pegasus?” Rob asked.
“It’s a Stallion named Shade. He’s from the future. Seems he came back in time in order to protect me.” Scootaloo said.
“Well whoever he really is, he’s given Slade a run for his money. You told me Slade is very good at what he does Rob.” Patra said.
“Yeah. So Slade fighting someone who seems to know everything Slade is gonna do before Slade does and have Slade at such a disadvantage is surprising to me.” Rob said.
The battle kept going until at some point, Shade completely disarmed Slade, forcing the killer into a fist fight which ended with Shade as the winner. During this fight, Shade had shown Slade the eyes of the Pegasus, which had brought terror to the killer. This prompted Rob to start connecting some things so he secretly was waiting for Shade to come out of the shower which made Rob get a good view of the Pegasus Stallion without his mech suit on.
"Hello there, Shade." Rob said.
"I had a feeling you'd show up. Especially after that display. I knew deep down when I saw you watching that battle, you'd figure things out. Your just that kind of person able to piece together pieces of the puzzle like this." Shade said.
"I'm not going to tell anyone or get on you for certain...things. I'm keeping what connections I've made under my hat. And I don't just mean whose soul you have in your body, Shade." Rob said.
"Like I thought, you figured out who I used to be. But that's not me anymore." Shade said.
"I know. One could say, your no longer the s-ame." Rob quipped which caused Shade to facehoof.
"And there's one of your classic zingers. Was wondering when one of those would show up." Shade said.
"But that's not the only thing I've figured out. The whole reasons your here is to protect Scootaloo, and considering your focused on her giving birth, has made me realize just who your mother and your father is." Rob said.
"What the...how did you..." Shade said before facehoofing again. "Right. Forgot who I was talking to for a second. It's you I'm talking to. Of course you'd figure it out. Which means you must have figured out everything." He added.
"You've done a fairly good job preventing anyone else from figuring it out. But you should've known better then to try and hide all that from me." Rob said.
"Seems no matter how long it's been, you can't help yourself and your extreme puzzle solving skills, can you?" Shade asked. "Don't bother answering that question, it's rhetorical. Once a puzzle solver, always a puzzle solver. At least when it comes to you that's true." He added
"But I can't say the same about you..." Rob paused. "...Slade Johnson, reborn as a stallion who has come to go under the alias of Shade." He soon added.
"Like I said..." Shade then turned to Rob, staring him straight in the eyes. "You could always figure this sort of thing out." He added. "Funny enough, my past self knew what he was looking at when I showed him my eyes. And as you saw, it freaked him out." Shade explained.
"I guess meeting the future version of yourself like that would cause anyone to understandable freak out. You did it to send him a message though: His days of being an emotionless monster were coming to an end." Rob said.
"Don't you mean my days of being an emotionless monster?" Shade asked.
"Like I said earlier..." Rob paused. "Your no longer the s-ame." He added.
Meanwhile, Insightful Wrath soon came across the place where Twilight and Zecora had hidden the Alicorn Amulet.
"Finally...I have found it." Insightful Wraith said. "Be ready Ponyville, for I; Insightful Wraith; am about to destroy you. Enjoy your last days of being on the map, as soon, you won't exist when I'm through with you." He said before he laughed manically.
Author's Note
Yep. The Title makes sense now. Shade is a future version of Slade Johnson. But what exactly that means, will be explored more in a different fic. But not this one.
But in other news, Insightful Wraith has obtained the Alicorn Amulet. Just what is the mad stallion going to do with it to destroy ponyville? Stay tuned to find out.
I will fix the picture that was supposed to have appeared in this chapter somehow.
