Back with Twilight and Flash Sentry, the duo arrived at Sweet Apple Acres.

"Well howdy Flash. How nice of you to drop by for a quick visit." Applejack said, greeting Flash Sentry.

"It's interesting how you have a local farm here. From what I understand, the crystal ponies would GIVE for a farm to pop up in the Crystal Empire." Flash Sentry said.

"Nothin' beats home grown fruits and vegetibles, I can tell you that. Maybe next time you visit, you can try one of our apple pies." Applejack said.

"P-pie?! Where?!" Flash said, cowering in fear.

"...What's that about?" Twilight asked.

"I...on my first day of guard duty in canterlot...I once slipped into a pie and I thought it was a monster with how it's holes were made because it looked like it could've had eyes in it." Flash Sentry said. "Since then...I have been unable to look at pies the same way ever again..." He added.

"That's...very traumatizing...I best get back to work." Applejack said and took this as her cue to leave.

"So...you going to tell me how silly it is to be afraid of pies now?" Flash Sentry said.

"Actually, I'm afraid of Ladybugs for the exact same reason your afraid of pies." Twilight said. "You can blame my brother for making me think that the dots on a Ladybug's back are extra eyes." She added.

"...I think I know what I'm going to do to Shining Armor if he ever comes to visit, considering he made me think the same thing for pies." Flash Sentry said.

"We should ask Rainbow Dash for advice on how to best get back at him then~" Twilight said, with a sinister look on her face. Brother, you've crossed a line. Twilight thought to herself.

The next stop on the tour was Fluttershy's place.

"Huh that's funny..." Twilight said noticing the lights were off. "She's usually at home at this time. But then again, she very rarely if ever goes out." Twilight added. Suddenly Fluttershy came up to the duo.

"Oh hey there Twilight. How are you today?" Fluttershy said, smiling.

"Fl-fluttershy?" Twilight questioned.

"Gotcha!" Fluttershy said, poking Twilight's nose. "I hope that wasn't too mean..." She added.

"...What..." Is all Twilight could say to that.

"I've...been working on pranks in secret in case Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie try to prank me." Fluttershy said. "But I don't want to go overboard with it. So I hope I got the potential 'changeling pretending to be me' act down..." She explained.

"That...would be going overboard. You do realize as the only friend to Discord; the avatar of chaos; if you really wanted to get someone back for pranking you, all you have to do is ask him." Flash said.

"That's not a bad idea...thanks Flash!" Fluttershy said and went back inside her home.

"...Ooooookay, I'm surprised it took someone else mentioning that to her before she got it." Twilight said.

"Hey, just because I'm only assigned to you doesn't mean I can't look out for your friends too. Especially the other elements of harmony." Flash said.

"True enough. It's good your taking your job seriously." Twilight said.

"Well they are your best friends; I wouldn't be doing my job at all if I didn't consider their safety too." Flash said.

"Huh..." Twilight said. "Remind me how we could not have met before..." She started.

"You've said that enough times Princess. I think I get it now." Flash said. The duo headed for Rarity's place next.

The two arrived that the Beutique, only to find a very depressed Rarity crying on her couch.

"Oof...what happened here?" Flash asked.

"I...I was foolish. I really thought...I really thought that the stallion I had here yesterday was different...but then...then I did research...and found out he's an ex-con artist. I was so foolish..." Rarity said. "And to top things off, because Spike saw me with that stallion...he no longer loves me..." She said.

"Ouch...I think we should come back later." Twilight said.

"Agreed...though maybe not TOO much later..." Flash said but then Pinkie Pie came out of nowhere.

"Hi Rarity I'm here to..." Pinkie Pie said but noticed how blue Rarity looked. "Uh oh..." Pinkie Pie said. "Stand back you two, I got this!" Pinkie Pie said so the duo left.

"If anyone can get Rarity out of her current funk, it's Pinkie Pie. Well...I hope so anyways." Twilight said.

"Maybe we should ask Spike what that stallion looked like so I can add him to a ban list for Ponyville." Flash Sentry said. He noticed a stallion nearby coming out of a normal looking house. "...Whose that?" Flash Sentry said.

"I don't know." Twilight said but hid nearby with Flash.

"Everything is finally in order. Took forever though. Here's to a new fresh start here in Ponyville. I won't let my past define me this time. Or my name isn't 'Second Periculum'." The Stallion said before heading off towards the chocolter's place.

"...Why do I get the strange feeling that's our guy?" Flash asked.

"No doubt. Let's get him." Twilight said and the duo quickly approuched the Stallion. "Excuse me, but are you by any chance the pony dating Rarity?" Twilight asked.

"Rarity, popular unicorn who owns the current largest boutique chain in Equestria, one whose handiwork is reconized in the fashion industry...that Rarity yes?" Second Periculum said. That was all Twilight needed.

"I'm afraid that I'm going to have to ask you to stay away from her. Permanently." Twilight said.

"...Let me guess, Princess Twilight Sparkle...she somehow dug up my past and is now in tears over it?" Second Periculum said but then sighed. "I was REALLY hoping this wouldn't happen AGAIN..." He suddenly added. That brought made Twilight give a questioning look at the stallion.

"Come again?" Twilight said.

"That whole con artist thing...feels like a lifetime ago. And in one way it was. But I've walked away from that life. Far, far away." Second Periculum said. "Ever since that day, the day my life changed forever, I've been searching. Searching for a fresh new start. Even my name isn't my real one anymore. I had it legally changed and everything." He added.

"But then...if you told Rarity your new name, how did she..." Flash Sentry began to ask.

"Because Rarity wasn't the first one to find out what my real name is; and at this rate, she won't be the last." Second Periculum said.

Since I completly shot down the Rarity x Spike ship (which is only in the "Ships I Tolerate" catagory"), I decided to make a brand new character for her instead. What's the story behind Second Periculum? And who is he, really? And what is it that made him stop being a con-artist?
