I’m sorry. Funny to start with that… What do I even gain from saying it now? Well that won’t matter anymore. Just another desire, another hollow dream. I thought about them a lot. The dreams. All those little things I’ll never accomplish, never really understand. Like the surface. Hard to picture things like the sky from a fucking tunnel. How folks can wander from tomb to tomb in a dead city. I need to see that at least.

Why? I-I don’t know. I just can’t stay here. It feels like the Infinite itself is tellin– no, demanding me to with dreams. Visions of me, of blood, choking, Retribution. Just more and more and more and more and more. No need for tears over nuts and bolts. I was always told that. Just little jokes about the Zone. About our dreams, our desires. I just need to… leave it all.

Do you think it’ll hurt? One of the anomalies? Or will it be faster than I can experience it? I can only hope. Only hope that I won’t be lying on my back in snow for those last few… seconds? Minutes? Either way, I don’t deserve a choice. Just the consequence.
