Deep Dive into the Manticore.
Twilight fidgeted with the camera as she made sure everything was set up properly. The record function was working, the camera was in focus and the settings were set to autofocus and x-ray when appropriate. Satisfied that everything was ready, she stepped back and smiled.
“Hello everypony. I’m Twilight Sparkle and I’m going to be updating the Equestrian Royal Bestiary entry on Manticores.” She said as the camera focused on her and the large orangish manticore with the red mane behind her. “Today’s manticore is a relatively safe one. This is Manny the Manticore. Some of you may know him from Trixie’s show, as he is the manticore in question during the Moonshot Manticore Mouthdive. Why am I not asking Trixie to do this study for me you might ask? Well… she’s just not as good at magic.” She said, smiling before her smile dropped.
“No no no. I can’t just say that. I need to be nice. Start over.” She said and her horn lit. The recording rewound to the start, and she took a breath as it started recording again. “Hello everypony. I’m Twilight Sparkle and this is Manny the Manticore. Today, we are going to be updating the Equestrian Royal Bestiary entry on Manticores. As many of you may know, Manny is the star of Trixie’s Moonshot Manticore Mouthdive performance, so he’s safe for this study.” She said as she turned to the manticore. Manny simply watched her as she walked over to him.
“First off, we need to have a look at Manny’s mouth. Say ah please.” She asked him and he opened his maw as wide as he could. Twilight used her magic to bring the camera closer and examine Manny’s teeth. “As you can see, the manticore has the teeth of a predator. A highly adapted set of chompers designed for chewing up meat. Manny however is quite gentle. As you can see here…” she said as she placed her two front hooves and her entire front in Manny’s mouth. “He won’t bite down unless I ask him to. I do have to remember to give him some Manticore treats when we’re done here.”
Rather than stepping out of Manny’s mouth, she looked at the camera for a moment, her eyes lost in thought, as she tried to think of the best way to say what she was going to do next. Manny kept his mouth completely still, save for frequent movements of his tongue under her hooves to keep his mouth moist. Twilight kept the camera nearby while she thought before blinking and looking at it. “I’ll edit this out in post… Next, we will be exploring his esophagus. Manny, don’t chew.” She said as she slowly pushed the camera into Manny’s throat backwards, the recording screen still facing her.
The screen went black for a moment before suddenly being lit up by a blinding light that was snuffed out and almost immediately replaced by a purple glow as Twilight smiled at it, still moving it ahead of her. “Manny’s throat, much like any other manticore, is well versed in swallowing large meals. Centuries of evolution helped the Manticore grow into one of the apex predators of Equestria. Already his throat muscles, using the process of peristalsis, are moving me along quite fluidly. All that remains of me still in his mouth are my hind hooves. Manny is such a good boy that he won’t swallow me until I give him the ok. This gives me plenty of time to fill you all in on everything happening around me.
“For all creatures, food processing begins in the mouth. The teeth are where food is broken down into smaller, more manageable chunks, though for the purposes of this study, Manny won’t be chewing anything just yet. Once the teeth are finished, the throat is the next stop on food’s journey. Here, saliva build up coats the food in a multitude of enzymes meant to break it down and make it more manageable for the stomach to finish processing. Ok Manny, send me down.” She said and a loud glurk almost made the camera fuzz out as she and the camera traveled down the throat.
Twilight closed her eyes as she was swallowed, the camera squeezing through the sphincter behind it ahead of her, giving it an excellent view of the tight ring it had just squeezed through, stretching around the scientifically inclined Princess. Her horn was the first thing to poke through, followed by her head and neck. “As… as you can see… I’m a bit stuck. I do hope Manny’s not choking on me. Most food that squeezes through this ring of muscle, called the esophageal sphincter, is chewed almost into a paste. I’m not exactly sure if… oh there we go.” She said as the sphincter stretched around her shoulders and she was pushed rather quickly into the stomach, followed by a torrent of water. “I see, Manny drank some of his water to help work me down. Good boy Manny.” She said with a smile before turning to the camera, cleaning it off with her magic.
“Here we are. In the stomach of the Manticore. For nearly all creatures, this would be the final stop on the rest of their lives. However, again, for the purposes of the Bestiary, this isn’t my final stop. On to the science. What you see around me is the stomach lining. Surprisingly sturdy stuff meant to hold back acids designed to break down meat and other substances that ponies simply can’t digest. I won’t be here long enough for the acids to begin to dissolve me, thankfully, but the Manticore’s stomach is designed to work on ponies and other live meals quite quickly.
“In fact, if I don’t move on soon, I’ll start to feel pretty tingly.” She said as the floor of the stomach started filling with an almost slimy liquid. Twilight took that cue to push the camera through yet another sphincter and follow it through. This time, she didn’t wait to explain it until she was completely inside. “This that I am currently encased in is the small intestine. It is here that the broken-down foods that didn’t dissolve in the acid are further dissolved in order to go on the last stretch of the journey. It is also quite twisty in here, so that’s all I’ll say for now. See you all in the large intestine.”
Twilight smiled as she pushed the camera head of her with her magic. It followed what seemed like an easy path through before squeezing through another sphincter into a new area. A few moments passed before the sphincter it had just passed through stretched and Twilight’s head popped through. “Hello again. Here we are in the large intestine. The last destination in any creature’s body. Normally, the only things that get to see this portion of any predators body is the dissolved and broken-down food stuffs that are turned into lumps of excrement. Most of it is simply dumped somewhere in the Everfree Forest, but for these purposes, Manny has been thoroughly cleaned by the best animal doctors in Ponyville, so there is no waste inside him at the moment.
“That concludes our tour of the Manticore digestive system. Next time, we’ll be discussing Manticore mating and the process Manticores go through to ensure a successful mating.” She said as she turned the camera off.

Fluttershy stroked Manny’s paw while the lump that was her friend moved through his bowels. It wasn’t normal for something still so large to go through his insides, but Twilight and Manny both understood. He clenched up his muzzle after a moment and Fluttershy watched as he raised his rump and squeezed out a camera coated in a purple glow. Not long after it, a pair of purple hooves squeezed out. They seemed to wave in the air until a pair of orange hooves grabbed them and pulled.
Applejack tugged on her friend as the purple princess squeezed out of Manny’s rear, spotless but slimy.
“Ah don’t know how you talked him int’ doin’ this crazy thing.” She said and Twilight just smiled as she stood up.
“I promised him as much meat as we could get.” She said and Fluttershy nodded as Discord wheeled over a rolling cart with a large silver tray on top of it. The dome on the tray was pulled away and Manny purred at it, his mouth salivating. “Go ahead Manny. You earned it. And thank you for your cooperation.” The manticore chuffed and dove in, eating every single portion of the meat.
Twilight smiled and lifted the camera. “And that, fillies and gentlecolts, is the Deep Dive into the Manticore. Join me next time when we explore yet another of Equestria’s dangerous critters.”

No, there isn't any manticore sex in this one. I just couldn't think of another title. Twilight is just going through the motions and continuing the documentary.
Manticore Mating Press
Twilight was prepared this time. It had been hot and tight in Manny’s belly, and she’d come out sticky and smelling awful. But the bestiary got updated and now ponies would know the inner workings of a manticore if a medical emergency ever came up. Next was something she wasn’t entirely excited about, but Doctor Stable had caught wind of her self-appointed task and asked for more information about Manticores.
Twilight set up the camera with Manny sitting next to her, but they had a guest this time. “Hello again everypony. At the request of Ponyville’s very own Doctor Stable, I’m back again with Manny the Manticore.” Twilight said and Manny waved a paw. “Today is something… a little more intimate. As we are all well aware, it is nearly impossible to safely operate on ailing creatures from within the Everfree Forest or further beyond our own borders. For today, and today only, Manny is going to help me with something special.
“I am going to be recording… Manticore mating. Up close.” She said, her smile fading just a little as she looked at Manny and their much wilder companion. Trixie had assured her that Manny was a King among Manticores, at least in the Everfree, and simply traveled with her because he liked her. That did not assuage her nervousness any, but Manny was rather large, even compared to this female. They were both quite a bit larger than she was. Sucking in a deep breath, she smiled again and looked at Manny. “First, we will study the male manticore’s reproductive organ. Manny, could you please?”
Manny needed no further prompting; they’d gone over this a few times with Trixie’s help. He sat back on his hind legs and presented his belly to her. That wasn’t what the camera focused on, however. “As you can see, the male manticore, much like a male pony, keeps their equipment sheathed in a protective, well, sheath of flesh. The ball sack is also protected by this flesh. Manny here seems to be a rather productive male, since his testes are quite large.” She said before focusing on the sheath itself.
She knew what she had to do but she wasn’t sure if she had the strength to do it. Swallowing nervously, she used her magic to gently coax Manny’s rod from its sheath. He had to have done this quite often with Trixie because it only took a few tingling rubs for it to come out in all its glory, knot at the base and all. “This… is the manticore penis. Much like a male feline, the manticore’s shaft is barbed with these almost rubber like spines. They are soft to the touch but are meant to keep the manticore firmly inside the female during copulation.
“No, Manny will not be using it on me. That is why we have a guest. This female manticore kindly agreed to help us after my friend Fluttershy assured her she would be fed afterwards.” She said as she turned and walked over to the female, who followed Manny’s lead and turned around, lifting her tail. Twilight flushed at the female’s willingness to participate but she had to remain professional. For the documentary. “The female manticore, like any female creature, does not have testes or a penis. Instead, she has labia which protect the inner tunnel of her sex. Also unlike most other creatures, the labia and inner tunnel of a female manticore’s sex are quite a bit more flexible.
“For example…” Twilight said before slowly pushing her entire hoof into the female’s sex. “I can easily fit one hoof inside her with very little resistance, both due to the sheer size difference and due to the flexibility and give.” She said as she pulled her hoof out and stared at it for a moment. “That’s not what anypony came here for, however. While normally this would end with Manny and this helpful girl breeding… that would simply go to prove that Manny is, in fact, a healthy, virile male.” She said before levitating the camera over to herself. “Instead, I will be going inside this manticore myself, much like the previous entry with Manny. With one very specific difference.”
She paused for a moment as Manny walked around to the female’s front and held her head down. Twilight was grateful for Manny’s help and willingness to assist her. The camera faced Twilight for a moment before its microphone heard a very distinct sound that was quickly overtaken by the guttural purring of the manticore. The camera sank into darkness only to soon be joined once again by Twilight, who started to push her way inside. “I am currently… inside… the female manticore’s vagina. This is merely where mating takes place. Her body is… not used to taking something quite my size… but my magic is numbing her somewhat.” She said as she pushed the camera further in, following it just as well.
“My hooves are no longer touching the ground as she has raised her rump into the air, trying to get out from under Manny, likely to pull me out. He will ensure my safety as I move on with the documentary.” She said before pushing the camera further until it couldn’t go any farther in. When it focused on her again, she squirmed just a little. “My hooves are now the only things remaining outside of the female’s vagina, being squeezed rather tightly by the labia majora. The camera currently cannot go any further as we have reached the portion of the female known as the cervix. This portion is the furthest point that can be safely reached by a well-endowed male.
“However… with a little bit of magic…” a light pop was heard and the camera moved just a little further before Twilight pushed it the rest of the way into a small chamber. Her head and the rest of her followed soon after and she had to curl up quickly before hitting the camera. “We can bypass the cervix and enter into the womb, or uterus. Here is where, over the course of several months, a new baby manticore will be formed out of the union of a male manticore’s sperm and a female manticore’s egg. Now… normally… I would now be stuck in here, simply due to how tight the cervix is until the birthing process. But, with just a little bit of magic again…”
The camera went completely black for a moment before focusing again on Twilight, now dripping with slime, standing next to Manny who was still holding down the female manticore. “I can safely exit the uterus of the female manticore with no harm done to either of us. And with that, I will be signing off. This has been a Deep Dive into the Manticore. I hope the knowledge gained from these documentaries helps further medical studies save more manticore lives in the future.”

The screen went black as the video ended and the ponies present merely stared at it for a moment. Doctor Stable, Princess Celestia, Princess Cadance, her brother, and all of her friends were present. None of them said a word for a moment. Celestia spoke first.
“That was quite the documentary Twilight. I am glad you took it upon yourself to update the bestiary. It has been out of date for so many years, it was time for some new information to be gathered.” She said and Twilight couldn’t help but smile. “What you did was dangerous, yes, but you did it for a good cause… and you did it safely. I must remember to thank Trixie and Manny for assisting you.”
“The information you gathered about the manticore will go to help many in the future. Medical science will see a breakthrough in internal medicine thanks to these videos alone.” Doctor Stable said before looking down at himself. “Ah… professionally speaking… that was a rather in-depth look at the inner workings of a manticore. Personally speaking… might I suggest you take a medical professional with you the next time you do this? Had Manny the Manticore not been there, you could have been seriously hurt by that female.”
“I will remember that in future, thank you Doctor Stable.”
“Of course you will.” Shining Armor said, and Twilight turned to him. “I still don’t know why you haven’t been assigned a guard, you are a Princess now, or why you didn’t ask a medical professional to do this for you while you recorded from the outside.”
“Ah know why she did it this way.” Applejack said and everyone present looked at her. “She did the way she did b’cause she knew all of us would say she was insane fer doin’ it. And, if she had recorded on th’ outside o’ Manny or th’ female manticore, we wouldn’t know what t’ look for if they needed medical help that we couldn’ see on th’ outside. Ah reckon this woulda helped a heap a long time ago when Granny had t’ put down one o’ our lame cattle ‘cause she had an ulcer that couldn’t be treated ‘cause no vets ‘r doctors could find it.”
“So… she got eaten and… that… so we would know what is and isn’t part of the insides of the creature?” he asked and Applejack nodded.
“Leave it to the Element of Honesty to figure out exactly why a documentary like this is so important.” Cadance said as she walked over to Twilight. “But your brother is right. You need a guard to help you with all of this. We could have Flash assigned…”
“No.” Celestia said and Cadance looked at her aunt. “As skilled a guard as Flash Sentry is, my sister has brought to my attention the contents of his dreams of late. He would be too distracted by his attraction to Twilight to safely do his duties as her first Guard. I will have a lineup of ponies chosen for you to chose from for your first Guard by tomorrow, Twilight. You may pick as you wish, and I will promote them to Captain once you’ve made your choice.”
Cadance watched her aunt for a moment before nodding. She was right. Flash was skilled but young. He had joined the Crystal Empire guard in order to have a stable income so he could start a family. With whom, Cadance wasn’t sure, but the way Celestia talked about it, he wanted it to be Twilight. Looking at Twilight, she was certain that her sister-in-law was both excited about that prospect and nervous about it. After all… she didn’t really know Flash.
“Alright. I’ll chose my first guard tomorrow. In the meantime, I should get this edited so the sound quality is better so it can be used for educational purposes.”
“Perhaps also edited to be safe for school age children? They should know this information as well, but…”
“If they’re going to learn any of this, they need to learn it all. They cannot have anything left out or they will not know what to look for. Any censorship would detract from the educational purposes of the documentary.” Celestia said and Doctor Stable nodded. She was right of course. It would simply have to have a medical disclaimer placed at the beginning. “So, with that settled, shall we work on producing this to ship it to schools and hospitals around Equestria, as well as the price for purchase?”
“I think it should be given out for free. Medicine is something everyone needs, no matter their societal standing.” Twilight said and Celestia smiled and nodded.

Thought I'd do something a little different for this one. Multi-prey isn't my forte, but this is a Hydra, and what better way to "document" a Hydra gulping ponies than to have each head get to do something. I thought about having one of the heads actually chew one of them up, but then thought against it. It's MLP and four of the mane 6. Even with a protection spell to ensure their safety, that's a risk. So I mention it but don't actually use it. Next up we'll be having another visit to the Everfree. And a new guest.
Hungry Quadrahead
Twilight and her three guests hid in the bushes near a large mound of dirt. The Everfree Forest wasn’t exactly the best place to be caught off guard. “Today, we are exploring the apex predator of the Everfree Forest. The Hydra. Most of the time, hydras are the most dangerous creature living in the Everfree Forest. However, we found that during the evening, they are sluggish and quite agreeable. Joining me today are my friends Rainbow Dash, who is always up for a challenge…”
“Hey ponies.” Dash said as the camera panned to her, her voice still low enough so as not to wake the sleeping Hydra.
“Applejack, who saw Rainbow joining me as a challenge to herself…”
“Howdy folks.” AJ said from Rainbow’s other side, her hat back at the caravan at Zecora’s hut.
“And Fluttershy, who wanted to join me for our safety as well as the possibility to study more creatures she wants to become more familiar with.”
“H… hello everypony…” Fluttershy said nervously from Twilight’s opposite side.
“Are we gonna do this or what?” Rainbow asked and Twilight looked at her.
“Be patient Rainbow. This is a documentary remember. We aren’t just doing this to make ourselves more famous.” She said and Rainbow pouted a little but nodded. “Why are they with me today? Well, as any pony who has read the current Canterlot Bestiary knows, the Hydra has four heads. Each head has its own personality. So while they are sluggish, we are going to convince each of them to eat one of us. As a precaution, Celestia has cast a spell on each of us that will cause us to wake up in our beds. As if this was just a bad dream.
“Applejack has volunteered to go first, of course, so we will watch from here while she does.” Twilight said and Applejack nodded as she was coated in a light purple glow. “The spell I cast is a precautionary measure, as well as quite necessary for the documentary. While it is active, which it will remain to be until we are safely at home, we cannot be harmed. Alright Applejack, you’re up.”
Twilight panned the camera to Applejack, who pantomimed tipping her hat. “Howdy folks. Names Applejack, Ah run the Apple Family Farm here in Ponyville with mah brother, mah sister, and my Granny Smith. Ah agreed t’ help Twi because she’s mah friend. And this is quite the challenge. Here Ah go.” She said and the camera followed her as she approached the head nearest to her.
It didn’t stir as she neared it, save for its snoring, and Applejack got close enough she could have touched noses with it. “As you can see, the Hydra is quite the heavy sleeper. This was tested extensively by Canterlot Guards before we ever came out here. Applejack has chosen the head that seems the most sluggish, as when the Hydra chases anypony, this head is the one that seems to lag behind.” Twilight said as she watched, keeping the camera focused.
Had this been any other time, she’d have rushed out the moment Applejack touched the Hydra’s maw and slowly pried it open. This was for a documentary though. Applejack was going to feed herself to the Hydra. Twilight and the other girls watched as Applejack stood in front of the gaping Hydra maw for a moment before she crawled into its mouth. The mouth remained open for just a moment longer until Applejack’s head touched the back of its throat.
With a clack, the mouth closed, and Twilight had to restrain Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash from rushing in. Applejack wasn’t hurt, Twilight had seen her hooves leave the ground before the mouth closed. They all watched as the jaw moved, as if chewing, and Twilight kept a mental note on her friend’s health. Applejack was fine, if a little uncomfortable with getting squeezed by the teeth. The spell was doing its job. After a moment, the jaw stopped moving and the swallow was heard by the head nearest to it, which lifted a little to watch the rather large bulge slide down its sibling’s long throat.
Applejack stopped about halfway down the throat because the Hydra was laying down, but Twilight and her other two friends observed the bulge start to move again. Applejack was dedicated. It disappeared into the hydra’s chest and the stomach bulged ever so slightly. “Alright. I’m next. I’ll take the one that woke up. Twi, hit me with a fast-acting sleep spell. That’ll make the head fall asleep after it eats me.” Rainbow said and Twilight looked at her and nodded. This was the safest option, since that head had been observed to be the most aggressive.
After the spell was cast, Dash stretched her wings and took to the air. “Hey, lizard breath, open wide.” She said and the hydra turned to glare at her and opened its maw to roar at her only for Dash to zip into its mouth and right into the throat.
“That was smart.” Twilight said, keeping the camera focused as Rainbow slid down the long throat. “To avoid the aggressive head’s teeth, Rainbow used her speed to bypass the mouth entirely and enter the throat directly. The spell I cast on her, once she reaches the stomach, will put the head back to sleep, making it safe for Fluttershy and myself once again.” Twilight said as she kept the camera focused on Rainbow’s decent and the bulge of the hydra’s stomach getting larger.
“Ok Fluttershy… do you think you can keep the camera steady? You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to.” Twilight said and Fluttershy stared at the bulge in the hydra’s stomach.
“N…no. I’ll go next. You are doing the documentary so… you need to operate the camera.” Fluttershy said and Twilight nodded and looked at the head farthest to the left. The last of the four heads. It was the tamest. The second to last was the most logical of the four. Fluttershy walked towards the tamest one and waited for a moment. It sniffed and woke up, lifting up and looking at the bulge in its belly before down at the little pony that woke it up. Fluttershy didn’t move as the head stared down at her before moving down and looking directly at her.
“Uhm… if it’s alright… my friend is doing a documentary on magical creatures like yourself and… she needs you to swallow us so we can know how your tummy works… so… can you eat me please?” Fluttershy asked and the head blinked and looked at Twilight, who sheepishly waved with her camera floating next to her. The head looked at her for a moment before opening its maw, as if shrugging shoulders it only had a little bit of control over and lolling out its tongue. “Thank you very much for being understanding.” Fluttershy said as she walked into the maw and lay down at the back of the throat. “Ok. I’m ready.” She said and the mouth closed around her and lifted up, tipping back.
Twilight watched the bulge Fluttershy made travel down the throat smoothly and into the stomach, further increasing the bulge. As Twilight walked forward, the head didn’t move save to watch her. “As you can see, each head does appear to connect to the stomach. I am sure the heart of this creature is quite large in order to pump enough blood and oxygen through the massive body and all four heads to keep it healthy and happy. Thank you very much for your cooperation.” Twilight said, speaking directly to the logical head, which was now awake, since it had three rather large “meals” in its stomach. “I’m doing this for your benefit just as much as for ours. If you were to get sick and came to ponies for help, we would need to know your insides just as well as your outside.”
The head stared at her for a moment before nodding. Twilight smiled and was about to walk forward before it simply snapped her up and swallowed. Quick as a wink, she and her camera flowed down the long throat. Twilight didn’t have time to start talking about the process because of her disorientation at being swallowed that quickly but she soon entered the stomach. Looking around, she found no sign of her friends. Her momentary panic was abated when she remembered she could still sense their heart beats. They were alive.
“We have already made a discovery. The hydra’s large body isn’t large just to support the four heads. It also houses four separate stomachs. Each head eats its own food to fuel the entire body.” Twilight said as she walked to the side of her stomach, pressing her ear to it. She could just barely hear Applejack and Rainbow yelling at each other. At the other side, she could hear Fluttershy talking to herself. More for her benefit than anypony elses. “My friends seem to be coping in their own ways. Let’s see if these four stomachs all meet at some point further on.”
Twilight lit her horn and the noise from each side of her stopped as they were all moved into the tubes at the back of the stomach. Each pony moved through the large intestine until they all met one another at around the middle point. “Further discoveries as we move further through the hydra’s digestive tract. The four stomachs all merge into the large intestine by approximately the middle of their long bodies.” She said as she panned the camera around to her three friends. “Now begins our, unsurprisingly, cramped journey through the Hydra’s intestines. Unless you girls want out now. I can do the rest on my own.”
“Yes please…” Fluttershy said, quivering a little. Twilight looked at Rainbow, expecting her to argue, but Dash just nodded and Twilight teleported Fluttershy out, her magic taking her home rather than just outside of the Hydra. Once Fluttershy was out, the other three continued their journey through the Hydra. It was much the same as the manticores, but reaching the end of the large intestine, they were stopped.
“A difference from the Manticore and many other non-scaled creatures, the Hydra has scales covering their rear. Like the ‘vent coverings’ on dragons or aquatic mammals, so water or magma can’t enter their bodies and cause complications, Hydra’s seem to have vent coverings to avoid swamp water doing the same. I think the three of us can force it open, however.” Twilight said and Applejack and Rainbow started pushing with their hooves on either side of the slit like hole. Twilight assisted, pushing into the middle with her magic.
Soon, her too friends were expelled together, rather forcefully, and Twilight slipped out before the hole closed behind her. “And that… fillies and gentlecolts, was the Hydra. We’re going to get out of here before he wakes up and realizes he didn’t just get a meal.” Twilight said and the three of them raced off into the Everfree.

Zecora watched the video with interest, Celestia and Luna helping clean the girls off with a potion Zecora had mixed for them. “What you are doing is quite dangerous it seems, but you are doing it for the greater good rather than memes.” Zecora said and Twilight nodded.
“Equestria is seeing it’s longest time of peace in centuries. I felt it was time that we knew everything we possibly could about the creatures that share a border with our town. So little is known about them. Even the Royal Bestiary in Canterlot doesn’t have enough information to be useful to medical ponies who specialize in critters. Fluttershy was even willing to help with this, so we could get the best results possible.” Twilight said and Zecora nodded while Celestia lathered some shampoo into Rainbow’s mane.
“The health of my neighboring beasts is important to me, I would gladly help your endeavors with a small fee.”
“Thank you but I’m not doing this for money. I’m doing this for the good of Equestria.” Twilight said and Zecora smiled.
“Then allow me this in place of reward, allow me to join you when next you fill your board.” Twilight had to pause for a moment to think about Zecora’s offer. Not that she was going to say no, but she had to figure it out.
“Of course. I haven’t decided on which creature to do next, but there are so many here in the Everfree Forest alone. It would be nice to have somepony there to help.”
Twilight huddled down in the nearby bush, not moving a muscle. Her magic allowed the camera to float freely and still catch her voice as if she was standing right next to it. This entry to the Bestiary was far too dangerous to attempt with a pony.
“Here we see a small pack of Timberwolves. These particular Timberwolves have been harassing the local farm for some time. Thankfully, no serious injuries have been reported, though they are getting rather daring. It is my hope that with this entry, we will learn enough about the diet of Timberwolves that we can safely supply them with enough food that they stop encroaching on Pony farmland,” she said, the microphone on the camera catching her voice as if she was walking along with it.
A single Timberwolf sat apart from the rest of the pack. Larger than the rest, this one was the most alert. Its ears swiveled around, listening for any potential threat. Twilight had to hope that the camera’s disguise worked. Her vision went black for a moment and the camera stopped moving as she adjusted a bit of the fluff she’d collected out of the lenses’ sight.
When she could see again, the large Timberwolf was staring right at her. Rather, at the disguised camera. She hoped it was hovering just high enough off the ground that the feet weren’t dragging too much. Suddenly it started growling. She stopped moving her “Timberwolf” towards it. Did she mess up. The camera stared straight at the big alpha.
Suddenly her focus was broken as a pair of jaws clamped down on the back of her head. Not hard, but hard enough that it hurt. She couldn’t focus. Without focus, she couldn’t teleport. She’d been caught. The other Timberwolves had snuck around behind her and caught her unaware. The one holding her carried her towards the Alpha and dropped her in a heap in front of it.
She looked up at it and would have teleported away if the one that had been holding her wasn’t still standing right over her. The Alpha stood up and climbed down from its rocky throne to stand in front of them. They were much larger than normal Timberwolves. This alpha would dwarf even Celestia he was so massive. Did her wish to expand the bestiary lead her a little too far into danger? She simply stared up at the alpha, wondering what it was going to do to her.
Suddenly it lunged forward. Twilight shrieked and squeezed her eyes shut as the massive jaws wrapped around her head. Rather than biting down and crunching, they pulled, and the maw shunted forward over her shoulders. It was swallowing her whole. Did all Timberwolves do this? Or only for food that was small enough. Mentally, Twilight began taking notes. She’d have to write all of this down when she finally teleported out to safety.
Her magic would work. She’d been caught off guard with her decoy, but now she was aware. She’d simply just continue to observe and take notes. The green throat pulsated around her as the big alpha swallowed her. It smelled faintly of mint and moss and evergreen. A not all together unpleasant smell. She took note of a moment of discomfort as her forelegs were forced to bend towards her barrel.
Gravity shifted as the alpha lifted its head, using gravity itself to aid it in swallowing this larger than average meal. She was just thankful it wouldn’t get to keep it. Her head squeezed into a wider chamber, and she took a tentative inhale of her new surroundings. Stronger mint and evergreen scent in the stomach with a very slight hint of acid. She knew they’d be strong acids though, so a bit of quick thinking and she had an acid resistant barrier around herself.
Her concentration almost broke however as a quick swallow brought her nethers to the Alpha’s tongue. She knew it didn’t intend to actually taste her there. It was just a beast, simply eating a meal. Its tongue still wrapped over her nether regions and helped push her in. Soon only the thickest part of her rump and her hind legs dangled out of the alpha’s maw. That was quickly rectified as it swallowed hard, sending the purple princess to what it assumed was her final resting place.
After waiting a moment, allowing her mind to fill in the blanks of what would happen after this point, Twilight lit her horn and teleported away. Expecting to appear in her room at the castle, slimy and sticky but alive, she was surprised to see she only managed to teleport back into the center of their den. The confused looks on the Timber Wolves faces around her were adorable. She even looked behind herself to look at the Alpha, who was looking at its stomach rather than her.
Not wanting to find out if it would chew her this time, she teleported away to the sound of snarling Timber Wolves.
“The Timber Wolf of the Everfree Forest, a local regent of the area around Ponyville, act much like normal wolves. They have a pack structure, lead by an Alpha. None of the other wolves feed until the Alpha has fed. With a meal as small as a pony, however, only the Alpha gets to feed. I learned first hoof that even a mare of my size, just slightly smaller than a fully grown Stallion of the larger stock, example Big Macintosh, would be little to no problem for an Alpha Timber Wolf to ingest on its own.
“There is little doubt in my mind that an Alpha Timber Wolf would be fully capable of swallowing a pony similar in size and stature to Princess Celestia herself, though would struggle quite a fair bit.
“From my observations, the insides of a Timber Wolf, while fully capable of digesting a pony, give off a scent very unlike the scent they give off naturally to warn ponies that they are near. Their maws, and saliva as an extension, smell faintly of mint, moss and evergreen. Not an unpleasant scent. Their digestive juices, though acidic enough to digest a pony, are diluted enough to not be painful. They also smell of mint, moss and evergreen.
“In my personal opinion, the scent inside a Timber Wolf is meant to lull any creature eaten by a Timber Wolf, if eaten whole and alive, into a sense of safety. Or at the very least erode their sense of fear and almost hypnotize them into wanting to remain. Had I not placed an anti-acid barrier around myself, I would be a hearty meal for a large Alpha Timber Wolf.
“In conclusion: Timber Wolves, while quite dangerous to most creatures, are all together almost harmless to ponies. Only Alpha Timber Wolves pose any form of threat to Ponies as they are large enough, and often seem hungry enough, to swallow a fully grown pony of above average size whole. Once swallowed, the pony will not want to escape their fate as they would smell the calming aroma within the Timber Wolf, one quite different to the scent given off by their bodies.
“Timber Wolves, while a threat, are not as dangerous as many textbooks would have ponies believe. As long as you know how to deal with them. And how to avoid Alphas.”

It's hard to right for characters who are meant to be "emotionless" and "blah".
Quantifying the Quarray
Twilight, Pinkie and Maud walked through Ghastly Gorge, Twilight’s camera floating beside her. “You’re both sure you’re ok with this?” Twilight asked and the two Pie’s nodded. Pinkie had volunteered simply to hang out with Maud. Maud was the one who volunteered to be eaten by one of her own neighbors. “Ok. So let’s go over the plan one more time. Maud is going to walk over and stand in front of a Quarray Eel den with her back to it.”
“Pinkie Pie will be walking away so the Eel thinks she’s leaving while you stay out of sight.” Maud said, her monotone voice not conveying just how dangerous this might actually be. At least to Twilight. Pinkie wasn’t worried either, so Twilight was sure Maud would be fine.
“While you’re being swallowed, you’ll describe everything that’s happening to the camera right up until the moment I teleport you out,” Maud nodded, and Pinkie smiled.
“And then I will bounce back so we can all leave without getting gobbled up on the way out.” Pinkie says with her usual optimism. When they reached their destination, Twilight took cover behind a bush between two dens where they wouldn’t see her if they came out. Pinkie and Maud chatted about nothing, at least to Twilight it sounded like nothing, until they reached a spot in front of a den.
The two mares hugged, and Pinkie started hopping away, waving at her sister. When the chipper pink mare turned away, Maud turned and started examining a stone near the den. Right on cue, a large red eel poked its head out and slowly opened its maw behind Maud. Maud didn’t bother to turn. Twilight wasn’t sure if it was part of the plan, or the stone really was interesting. Her camera floated over quickly as the eel clamped its jaws shut around Maud and disappeared into the den.
Twilight’s camera’s light turned on at the same time as Maud’s headlamp and she continued examining the stone right up until the eel’s tongue tipped back, sending her sliding and then rolling into its throat. The camera followed her, and Maud managed to straighten herself out. “Quarray Eels normally just eat stones. Their needle like teeth are capable of finding the weaknesses in stones in order to break them apart. Not that they really need to since they are such massive creatures. They aren’t known to pass up an easy meal, like an unsuspecting pony wandering too close to their dens. The maw and throat are quite wide, making it quite easy for a pony to stand upright while being swallowed whole.
“Their stomachs, being quite capable of digesting stone, are well suited to the digestion of flesh and blood creatures like ponies. The acids of a Quarray Eel’s stomach are at a pH level moderately dangerous in most circumstances, being high enough to melt through stone. The sphincter at the back of the long throat of a Quarray Eel is usually meant to crush and squeeze any living prey it manages to eat.
“But most prey get through just fine with the right timing. Once in the stomach, the acids of the stomach are weak enough that it is quite safe for a pony to walk through its cavernous insides. However, once through the stomach, the pony would find it much more difficult, and far more dangerous, to continue as the winding intestines are also filled with stomach acid that will slowly eat away at the flesh and muscle.
“As you can see, my dress is already beginning to melt away as it is simply fabric. I will remember replace it later. I can go no further, so how about a little show before I get out of here.” Maud sat down on her rump and placed the camera in the small pool of acids between her hind hooves.
Moments before she started rubbing herself for the camera, she and the camera were teleported out of the Quarray Eel. Her dress was gone, and Pinkie was bouncing over to them. Maud stood up as if nothing was about to happen and passed the camera to Twilight. The Eels near them ducked back into their dens as Pinkie got close and the three of them left the gorge.
Once they arrived at Ponyville, a stop at Rarity’s boutique was in order. While Rarity set to work re-making Maud’s dress, Maud went upstairs to wash off. While they were doing that, Twilight, Pinkie and a slightly distracted Rarity watched the video on the camera. As it neared the end, the three mares blushed, and Twilight stopped the video. “I’ll remember to delete that part before publishing…” Twilight said, closing the camera’s monitor.

Couples Chimera
“Are you sure this is safe Twilight?” Applejack asked as the three ponies walked into the Fire Swamp. Twilight was there with her camera and her notebook. Applejack was with her because she knew the area and would be part of this experiment. The third pony was younger and had volunteered.
“O’course it is AJ. Twilight wouldn’t lie to ya.” Applebloom said as she walked along beside her sister. “B’sides. Ya know Catrina got three heads an two of ‘em is predators. We brought the cheese fer the goat, but th’ other two heads is getting’ us this time.”
Applejack groaned a little, still not entirely sure bringing Applebloom along as “snake food” was the safest idea. Even if Catrina was smart enough to know it was for a book. Twilight looked at her friend and nodded. She wouldn’t let anything happen to Applebloom and if things got too dangerous, the little filly would be the first one teleported home. Applejack finally sighed and looked straight ahead.
“Alright ya big varmint! Git out here and face us like a pony. Or are ya too much of a scared little pussy cat!?” Applejack shouted and Twilight immediately dove for a bush. Applejack had the gouda for the goat. She also knew that provoking Catrina would get her to do what they wanted her to do.
A roar behind her nearly made Twilight jump out of the bush she’d found as a massive shape leapt over her, growling, hissing and bleating. “Rude little pest. I’ll devour you whole!” the tiger yelled and Applejack threw the gouda at the goat head. As predicted, the goat snatched the gouda out of the air mid lunge and Applejack pushed Applebloom out of the way as the tiger head wrapped around the older pony.
Applebloom, of course, panicked seeing her sister swallowed whole and jumped at the big cat. Just as they’d planned. The snake head swung around and bit Applebloom’s leg. Extensive research on the denizens of the Fire Swamp assured Twilight that the snake wasn’t venomous. It was a paralytic bite. Sure enough, the filly fell to the mud in a stiff heap. The tiger started to go for her only for the snake to hiss at her. “Thisss one is mine, ssssissster. You got the big one.” the snake said and quickly snagged Applebloom’s head in her maw. Twilight remained silent, watching the whole thing and taking notes with her magic.
Twilight watched, slightly shivering, as the snake swallowed Applebloom whole. The bulge of the little filly traveled down the throat and into the belly, causing it to bulge out more with the two mares inside. Now Twilight had to wait until Applebloom’s paralysis wore off or the teleport could actually hurt her. She knew how long it would take, so she kept her notes close to her as she counted. No internal shots yet… but she was sure Catrina would be hungry again soon.
A minute later, Twilight’s horn lit, and the two ponies were teleported out of her and off to safety, arriving in the carriage they’d rode here in. The guards who pulled the carriage knew to wait. They knew what was happening. As soon as the chimera’s belly was flat again, the snake started complaining. “You digessssted them to fasssst, Sisssster. We didn’t get to enjoy them.”
“How about me?” Twilight asked as she stepped out of the bush, her notebook clutched to her chest and invisible so they wouldn’t see it. Her camera had been ditched for a magical contact over her eye that would record everything.
“You’ll do.” The tiger head said as she lunged. Twilight stood still, pretending to be too afraid to run, as the maw came down around her. Just like Applejack. The contact lit her eye and the surrounding maw as soon as it was in darkness and recorded the process. The undulating throat muscles as the big cat swallowed her, all the way to the tight sphincter in front of her opening to accept her into its now hungry belly.
As soon as she touched down in acid, she cast her resistance spell, wrote her notes, and waited. The spell would last at least four minutes, long enough for the chimera to figure out something was wrong. The intention was to see if this magical beast would be able to adjust the acidity of its stomach acids. Living somewhere as dangerous as the Fire Swamp, with creatures with hides thick enough to withstand the flames these swamps belched out, it would be nice to know if the predators that lived here could magically adjust their stomachs acidity to break down those tough hides.
Four minutes passed and Twilight noticed a sting on her left hoof. Her bubble had failed. Chimeras could adjust the acidity of their stomachs. Teleporting out, Twilight found herself back where they’d been with no Chimera in sight. She’d walked off somewhere else after downing Twilight, possibly thinking there might be another unicorn nearby to get her out too. Looking off in the direction she assumed Catrina had wandered off too, Twilight promptly headed the opposite direction.
Her horn wasn’t wasted but she had to wait for a spell before teleporting again.
While she walked, she compiled her mental notes into written words.
“The multiple heads of a Chimera lead to the same stomach, as observed with the aid of assistants. As the goat head of the Chimera is strictly vegetarian, it had to be distracted with its favorite snack, Gouda Cheese, in order to get the other two heads to act.
“The snake head on the Fire Swamp variety of Chimera is venomous. It does not appear to be a deteriorating variation of venom and merely a paralytic sort, meant to make swallowing prey easier. As the snake head is also the tail of the chimera, it has a much smaller entrance into the stomach and cannot swallow something much larger than a filly.
“The tiger head, present in most Equestrian Chimera, is fully capable of swallowing an adult pony whole in a single bite. Its fangs are bult to tear through flesh and bone, but swallowing its prey whole seems to be the preferred method. Due to the intelligence of the Chimera, it can be assumed it does this because it gets a sort of pleasure from the pleading of its prey.
“Further observation of the Chimera’s stomach proved that it could adjust the acidity of its stomach acids to break down the most stubborn of prey. Life in the Fire Swamp, among creatures who adapted to withstand the boiling temperatures of the waters as well as the occasional gout of fire from the ground itself, has made the Chimera evolve to make itself the top predator of the swamp. Without a testing strip, the acidity of the stomach acids could not be ascertained. From a guess, they can become hot enough to melt stone. As such, bone would be no problem.
“That could be why there aren’t any bones in the Fire Swamp. Many a creature is preyed upon by the Chimera and if their acids are strong enough to melt bone, there would be no bones to leave behind.”

Cragadile Wrestling
Applejack had volunteered for this one as well. Normally, she would bring a much larger audience for her yearly “Cragadile Wrastle”. This time was a bit different. This time she was supposed to lose. On purpose. It left a sour taste in her mouth, giving up her record like that. Twilight had assured her that she wouldn’t be giving up her record though. With no other witnesses, nopony else would know.
The two mares walked into the swamp near Froggy Bottom Bog and looked around. Cragadiles tended to hang out around here, submerged into the mud or basking in the sparse sunlight that peeked through the trees. They spotted a few but they were far too small to tango with.
Hours passed, the sun continuing its trek across the skies while the two mares waited. Twilight sat on an upraised root just high enough to be a comfortable seat while Applejack paced back and forth in front of the swamp. She had to remain alert in case a cragadile big enough came into view.
Growing bored with waiting, Twilight stared a game of twenty questions.
“Is it somepony we know?”
“Nope.”
“Is it somepony we’ve heard about?”
“Nope.”
“Is it a pony at all?”
“Nope.”
“Is it… an apple tree?”
“Yep.”
“Is it… Bloomberg?”
“Nope.”
Their game was interrupted as a large splash echoed towards them. They both looked up as a ripple washed over one of the nearer cragadiles. It looked like a wake, like something was swimming towards them. Twilight quickly scrambled up onto the tree she was sitting on while Applejack stood still in the water. If it was a big cragadile, the plan was simple.
Applejack would wrestle it for a bit. Twilight would describe how sometimes Earth Ponies do this sort of thing.
Applejack would then push it off and Twilight would explain why it needed to get up to speed.
If things went to plan, it would come rushing at Applejack with its maw open. Applejack would then throw her hat to Twilight and, rather than diving out of the way like she normally would, she would dive into the maw of the cragadile.
The wake got bigger as it approached them, and AJ watched as the spines came into view. “Tall spines. Big Brent,” Twilight hadn’t realized Applejack had named the big gators. As the big cragadile got close, Applejack spread her arms wide and moved to the side. The cragadile’s jaws missed her side by inches and she wrapped her forelegs around the muzzle.
“I’ll make it quick,” Twilight said as she pulled out the camera. Turning it on, she panned it around to Applejack and the dile. “As we can see here, cragadiles can range in size. The little ones at the back, apparently waiting for scraps, and the big one Applejack is wrestling with. Locally known as Big Brent, he’s the biggest cragadile I’ve ever seen. Applejack has full control over the situation. Even being on her hind legs the way she is, with the grip she has on Big Brent’s mouth, he won’t be able to open his jaws to get free.
“Any library will contain copies of older bestiaries and books on animal biology where you can learn that all of a cragadile’s strength lies in closing those massive jaws, not opening them. Right now, though he is fighting, Big Brent is at Applejack’s mercy,” Twilight said, and Applejack then pushed Big Brent off. The big cragadile slid a little way before snarling and turning to swim away. The two ponies watched for a moment before he turned back after a gaining a fair distance.
Just as they’d discussed, Applejack removed her hat and threw it to Twilight. Twilight caught it and managed to refocus the camera just as Big Brent leapt out of the water like a speeding train. Applejack jumped and curled into a tight ball as he sped at her, maw wide open. He clearly hadn’t expected it as the mare he’d just been wrestling with wound up at the back of his throat.
The big cragadile choked for a moment as Twilight’s magic lifted him out of the mud so she could watch the progress. “Most cragadiles only eat things smaller than they are, or things they can get flat on their broad tongues. For the purposes of the documentary, we can’t let that happen or Big Brent would chew poor Applejack. Hovering as he is while caught in my magic, he is able to swallow her better.”
Twilight blinked as her contact linked to Applejack’s, the mare straightening out so she could look ahead of her. “Here, we can see the flap of flesh alligators and cragadiles both have to keep water from getting into their stomachs or lungs. Through a special link between my contact and Applejack’s contact, I can see what she sees. In a moment… there it is,” Twilight said as the flap of skin opened, and Big Brent tipped his head back. Applejack slid easily into the big croc’s throat and Twilight watched both perspectives.
The bulge that formed in his throat was slow moving and looked to be somewhat painful. Even a big cragadile like Brent wasn’t that much bigger than a fully grown pony. Twilight kept her commentary to a minimum as Brent swallowed. Every swallow pushed Applejack further and further into his throat until she was eventually squeezed into the stomach. Twilight kept the camera focused as Applejack looked around.
“In the cragadiles spacious stomach, it’s quite easy for even a pony the size of Applejack to move around. Not by much, as it is still inside a large, powerful predator. From the inside, cragadiles are rather vulnerable to many things a pony could do to them. Kicks, magic, thrashing, anything could cause harm to a cragadiles fragile insides. On the outside, a cragadile’s flesh is much like the stones they live among. Thick, tough and sharp.
“Many assumptions had been made until today that cragadiles even had sharp stones in their stomachs to assist with grinding up prey that didn’t go down as easily as Applejack did,” Twilight said and turned the camera off. “Applejack, you need to kick hard towards me so I can see his belly move when you want to be let out!” Twilight shouted and half of her vision bobbed. She hadn’t cut both cameras. It was disorienting to say the least.
Keeping Big Brent floating in the air, Twilight took as many notes on his physical structure as she could. His claws, his spines, his tail, his teeth and even his nose spike were documented. Most cragadiles didn’t get this big and stay near ponies. She wasn’t sure how, but many of them migrated to the much larger swamps further east before reaching this size. Big Brent had stayed as the largest cragadile in Froggy Bottom Bog for some time.
A sharp kick to the side of her head jolted her out of her observations. Applejack. She’d nearly forgotten. Adding a layer of overglow to her horn, Twilight teleported her friend out of Big Brent’s stomach before using her magic to toss him farther into the swamp. The loud splash of his landing was sign enough that she’d aimed well. Giving Applejack her hat back, the two of them teleported back to Ponyville. Some editing would need to be done, but now they had information on the soft, squishy insides of a large cragadile.
Twilight only knew one Sea Serpent willing to go through with her little test. Steven Magnet. The mostly friendly serpent that lived in the Everfree and frequented Ponyville from time to time. Rarity and the Spa Sisters were the only ponies who knew how to properly coif his mustache. Quite proud of his mustache, his weekly visit to Ponyville was altered just slightly by a pernicious purple pony princess.
“Please Steven, it’s for a documentary. We can help every sea serpent in Equestria if you do,” Twilight said, taking the opportunity to get her twice a week massage from the siblings. He sat back while Rarity worked a comb through his mustache, getting seaweed, cattails and a number of small critters out of his glorious fuzz. Twilight didn’t talk again for some time, letting him think.
He eventually let out a breath and looked at her. “Oh alright. What do I need to do?” he asked. She smiled and held up her magical camera and a specially enchanted microphone on a collar.
“Normally, I’d ask you to eat myself or Rarity, but Lotus and Aloe both have agreed to do that part for us,” Twilight said, and Lotus nodded from her position on Twilight’s back, massaging the muscles between her wings.
“Of course. Ve vould be honored to ‘elp. And it vould also be helpful to you, as ve could massage your scales from ze inside as vel. It vould loosen up any scales above a new layer and let ze new layer shine in ze sun light,” Lotus said, smiling. Aloe nodded as she gently twisted one of Twilight’s legs, getting a nice pop from her shoulder joint. Twilight moaned a little in discomfort but didn’t twitch otherwise.
Steven looked at the two spa mares for a moment before looking at the camera and collar. “And what do those do?” He asked Twilight and she looked at the two items.
“The camera is enchanted to follow the collars progress no matter where it moves, once they’re turned on. The collar records a pony’s voice and transmits it to the camera for near live feedback,” she said, smiling. She was quite proud of the two items. He continued to look at them before looking at Lotus.
“I guess I’ll eat you then,” he said, and she visibly shivered. Even if he was a customer, and quite safe as he was one of the most intelligent creatures in the Everfree Forest, it was still disconcerting to have a creature that large outwardly say they were going to eat you. Twilight walked over to Lotus and strapped the collar on her, just above her work apparel. Once it was on, Lotus removed her work collar and hat and sat still.
Steven waited a moment as Twilight adjusted Lotus’ collar before her magic activated the collar and camera simultaneously. A couple of beeps, a flashing red light that turned green, and Twilight stepped back. “Ok, gobble away,” she said, and Lotus actually looked up as Steven’s jaws descended on her.
Aloe watched as one of their best customers closed his jaws around her sister, lifted his head, and swallowed. The lump that appeared in his throat was vaguely pony shaped, Steven was quite a slender serpent. Twilight watched the camera as it followed Lotus’ progress. The little screen on the back of it showing a perfect picture of Lotus through Steven’s thick scales.
“The sea serpent, being quite a large creature, easily has the capacity enough to devour multiple meals the size of a pony. From the outside, the lump that is Lotus Blossom barely resembles a pony,” Twilight said as she walked over to Steven’s body and gently pressed a hoof just under Lotus’ head, stopping her progress. Steven didn’t choke, but he did look at her. “Inside, the sea serpents body produces a slurry of saliva and other enzymes meant to speed prey along,” Twilight moved her hoof and Lotus continued her progress. The camera followed.
“As the prey reaches the first section of long stomach, their progress is stopped and more saliva and enzymes are produced,” Twilight paused to cast a quick spell on Lotus so she wouldn’t be digested. “Safety precautions are always necessary when dealing with larger creatures, even when they are just as intelligent as yourself. Lotus, you can start massaging now,” Twilight said, pressing her face as close to Steven’s stomach as she could.
Her only indication that Lotus heard her at all was the fact that she could see the spa mare begin to massage the inside of Steven’s stomach. As if that was a silent cue, Aloe walked over and also began massaging the sea serpents’ stomach, directly opposite her twin. As the two mares worked, the camera floating around Steven followed the one on Lotus’ collar as she moved around Steven’s long stomach. Aloe followed her sister’s path until Lotus reached the entrance to the next stomach.
Her head pushed through the tight sphincter at the end, and she was plunged into darkness. Her camera could see nothing, but they could still see her just fine. “Much like normal cattle, Sea Serpents seem to have multiple stomachs. Unfortunately, the camera on my volunteer’s collar does not come with a light, so there won’t be much visual from this point,” Twilight said as the outside camera followed Lotus’ path through the second stomach and into the third. It was much tighter, nearer to Steven’s tail end, and the bulge that Lotus made was quite obvious.
“Here, we reach the third stomach of the Sea Serpent. I am unsure, personally, if this is the final stomach or sea serpents are quite cattle like with four stomachs. It is also quite dark here, but very much tighter. The view outside of our sea serpent volunteer leaves… very little to the imagination,” Twilight said, the floating camera seeming to sense her meaning as its focus seemed to zoom in on Lotus’ teats, pressed as they were against Steven’s scales.
Looking at Steven, Twilight realized he wouldn’t want to be filmed “relieving himself” so she turned the camera to her. “And that, fillies and gentle colts, is the internal structure of the Sea Serpent of the Everfree Forest, also known as Steven Magnet. He’s quite gentle and agreed happily to assist with my work. He has also assured me that most, if not all, sea serpents are exactly the same, barring some physical differences. Until next time, that concludes our… I’ll think of a title later,” Twilight said as the camera went blank.
The floating camera nearing Steven’s rear entrance turned off and floated over to the small case Twilight had brought it in. Settling into its housing, Twilight closed the case and turned to Aloe. She had reached Steven’s ventral slit and was gently massaging around it. Two things happened in rather quick succession. Lotus began to squeeze her way out of his ventral slit, as did his rather large and spiny shaft. Steven looked away in embarrassment as Lotus squeezed out of him completely, sliding to the floor with a slight thump as her shoulder collided with the stone.
An entire mare coming out of his hole had “aided” in bringing him to full mast. Lotus was slimy, and limping slightly from the collision with the floor, but Aloe managed to get Steven up onto his coils, keeping his erection from the floor as she helped her sister to her hooves. Sensing they were going to assist him in relieving himself, Twilight smiled at them.
“Thank you all for assisting me. I really can’t stay to… help… but I don’t have any experience with this sort of thing, and I have to get back to edit the footage and audio so I’m just gonna go and I’ll see you girls later in the evening for my own pony pedi ok bye.” Twilight zipped out of the room as quickly as her hooves could carry her. She didn’t stop running until she reached her room at the castle where she put the camera down and took out the sphere. The moment she put it down, however, she knew she’d forgotten something.
The up close and personal view she got, from the sphere, of a large spiny shaft grinding up against a pair of mares made her quickly put the sphere back in its case, close and lock it, and push it under her desk. She could wait to edit the footage and audio later.
Luna stood to the side while Twilight, Rainbow and Applejack stood just a few feet away from the gates of Tartaros. For a slight change, Luna was going to operate the camera equipment. She would also be accompanying them into Tartaros. Twilight breathed in slowly and exhaled just as slowly, calming her nerves. Did Luna know why they were here? Yes. Did that make it any less nerve wracking to have one of her superior Princesses about to watch her actually get eaten alive? No. No it did not at all.
Twilight calmed herself and lit her horn. The Alicorn spell turned the giant key in the gate and swung them open.
The last time Twilight had seen Cerberus, he’d looked like a mostly normal giant dog with three bulldog heads. He was very different on his side of the gate. Absolutely massive, he dwarfed every cage he stood guard over. His heads were also quite different. While the middle head did retain its bulldog like features, its eyes were pure red and actually on fire. The lower jaw jutted out just a slight bit and the teeth poking out of it were at least as long as Twilight herself.
The head on the right looked more wolf like. A long, pointed, snout with razor sharp teeth from front to back. A single horn jutted out of its nose. The eyes staring at them were deep black pits of rage and terror. It also had two curling horns wrapped around its ears, which were flaming at the tips.
The head on the left looked much like the head of a Doberman dog, also long and pointed. The top of its head, however, was covered in what looked like bone with two long horns coming off of the back and two long fangs over its own mouth. The eyes couldn’t be seen. The lower jaw looked normal, for the most part.
“H… hello Cerberus. I am Princess Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship. Headmare of the School of Friendship. We are… we are here to do a documentary that will be both educational and informative. I… we need you to…” Twilight paused. Cerberus was far more terrifying than he had been back in Ponyville. She had to steel her nerves. There was no telling how her magic would react in Cerberus’ stomach while he was in his natural form. She didn’t even know if her magic would work at all. Was she dooming herself and her friends to an agonizingly painful death in the belly of the Hound of Hell?
Luna finished her sentence for her. “Cerberus. They need you to eat them.” Twilight’s eyes went wide as she turned her head to her elder for a split second. Was this really Luna or had Chrysalis switched places with her somewhere? A quick scan confirmed. It really was Luna. She just knew that Twilight had lost her nerve in from of Cerberus’ true form. “Tis for a documentary, as she said. Do be gentle, and no chewing. I will teleport them to safety when Twilight gives me the cue. Twilight, tap thrice on the screen of your drone and I shall teleport you all out of Cerberus’ stomach.”
Twilight stared at Luna for a moment longer before swallowing her fear and nodding. Turning back to Cerberus, she and her friends were greeted with large gaping maws descending on them. Teeth clacked but there was no pain. Cerberus had drove its three muzzles into the ground around the mares and chomped. Dirt and all. Three equal sized bulges disappeared down Cerberus’ wide gullets and Luna accompanied the large hound to his place at the intersection of the three cages.
When Cerberus lay down, Luna did as well. The camera in front of her let her see exactly what was happening to her friends. The drone flew out of its case and wriggled its way into the middle heads mouth, soaring down the wide throat before finding the three mares in a pool of gastric juices normally strong enough to melt bone to soup. They weren’t even bubbling. Much like many other creatures native to Tartaros, Cerberus had the capability to decide if what he ate was food or a prisoner. Or in this case, guests.
Watching her three friends, Luna noticed they huddled close together. The camera had no audio, but she could see Twilight’s lips moving. She was both consoling her friends, who had been terrified out of their wits to this point, and dictating notes. Luna picked up the scroll and quill and did her best to write the notes for Twilight, but the smaller purple alicorn was diligent in her descriptions. They were treading “water”, that much was obvious. Cerberus’ true form was just that much larger than a normal pony. Even Celestia could “swim” in his stomach.
Thinking to have some fun with her friends for a moment, Luna picked up the screen she used to view them and took a stroll around Tartaros. There weren’t many places she could actually go. Tirek’s cell to ensure he was still trapped. Conversation with him, while unpowered and weak enough to pose no threat, was never dull. She conversed with him for some time after explaining Twilight’s experiment and why she let herself and three of her friends get devoured.
Moving on from Tirek’s cell, she went to the only other occupied cell in Tartaros. The third was reserved for… someone special. “Hello lover.” She said, her voice taking on a hint of Nightmare Moon’s.
“Ah… dearest Night… you aren’t Nightmare Moon.” The creature in the cell said as it stood up. Four legs that ended in deadly clawed paws. A maw containing razor sharp teeth meant for tearing flesh from bone. Eyes as red as blood. Fur as dark as the deepest night. “What do I owe the displeasure… Luna?” he said her name with such venom she felt the urge to wash herself when she returned home.
“I merely came to see how you are adjusting to your several thousand life sentences since we last saw you,” Luna said as the wolf slowly walked over to her. His red eyes looked over her and she resisted the urge to shudder.
"Thousand seems a tad light, don't you agree? After all, I am the one who slaughtered thousands of ponies under your dear parents rule while they stood by and did nothing,” he said, chuckling at her. “Many of those ponies were your dear friends, were they not? They were quite delicious. Would you like a taste?” He asked, flicking something at the floor of his cage with a claw. It clicked away from him and clacked against the bars. She looked down and flinched. It was a bone. A pony’s jawbone.
“How did…”
“Oh relax. As you said, I have several thousand life sentences. I couldn’t escape from here if I tried. They’re old. It’s this places magic that keeps them mostly fresh. Besides… the bars of this cell will likely rot away long before I do. Once they do… I’m coming for your lovely sister, Luna. Your sister… your friends… your subjects… all of them will bleed and die while I burn your precious city to the ground around you. But not you. No… I have something special planned for you beloved. I am going to make you scream for me before I tear out your throat and…” his voice went silent as Luna struck the cage with a hoof.
She returned to the center platform in silence and sat next to Cerberus. A whine from the large dog caught her attention and she smiled at him. “I am well, Cerberus. Thank you for your concern.” She said before looking at the tablet again. Her friends were well, but they were slightly panicking and yelling, likely at each other. Luna was supposed to get them out. Instead she’d chosen to go and visit him . Of all creatures… why him?
Teleporting her friends out of Cerberus’ belly, she helped them gather the equipment in silence. The trip to the gates was silent, as was the flight on the balloon. Twilight went over the footage they’d gotten, as well as the notes she took once they were on the balloon. She could use everything, but she had to condense it down to something that could be broken up into fifteen-minute videos for the schools. Luna sat in silence. She barely noticed when the blimp touched down in Canterlot. Barely noticed when her friends bid her a good day. Barely noticed when her Guard Captain greeted her. Barely noticed when she’d reached the door of Celestia’s room.
Not even her own room. She gone to her big sister’s room. Why was she here? Celestia was in court, seeing to problems that nobles had. They had so many problems. They could have so many problems. So many had no problems any longer. All because of him . All because she had been young and stupid and rebellious, and he’d promised so much. He’d promised her power. He’d promised her happiness. He’d promised her love. He took it all away with a flick of his claw.
Walking into Celestia’s room, Luna walked over to the large bed and climbed into it. Her sister wasn’t even that much bigger than her, but the bed felt massive. It reminded her of them. Curling up, she dared not close her eyes. She worried she see him again. She worried she’d see him in her dreams, her nightmares. This was how he got to you. This was how he twisted your heart and your mind. When you were close to someone so dark and so evil, it made you question yourself. She needed her sister. More than that… she needed her mother.
Squeezing her eyes shut and curling up into as tight a ball as she could, she tried to hide her face. “Mommy…” Luna called out softly.
No answer came.

So... little bit of heart wrenching there at the end. I hope I made my original OC a little... terrifying. I'm kinda reworking him into a "end game" style villain as we speak in my main storyline because I want to use the Wolf Clans I thought up but I don't want to just... put them in the story.
Rainbow hauled the suitcase below her while she flew to Daring Do’s cabin. Twilight had specifically told her to find Daring Do for this update to the bestiary. Its entrant would be more apt to cooperate if she was involved. Rainbow had a script. She was allowed to read the whole thing while the cameras did all the recording work.
Landing outside the cabin, Rainbow put the suitcase down and knocked twice before walking in. She’d been told to do that so Daring would know it was her. The author of her own adventures, A.K. Yearling, otherwise known as Daring Do, sat at her desk and turned as Rainbow walked in with the suitcase. “Hello Rainbow Dash. To what do I owe this visit?” she asked, and Rainbow stared at her for a moment.
Still awestruck just by knowing her, Rainbow couldn’t get over the fact that they were friends. Shaking her head sharply, she carried the suitcase over to her friend and lay it down. “Twilight is doing documentaries on Equestria’s native beasts, like dragons and the like. She wanted me to get your help for this one since you know him so well,” Rainbow said before passing her friend the letter Twilight had written.
A.K. took it and scanned it over for a minute before setting it down and looking at Rainbow. The silence stretched on for quite some time before A.K. finally broke it. “You want me to take you to Ahuizotl and let him eat me while you record it. Is this a request the Princess makes often or is this a new thing?” A.K. asked and Rainbow blushed a little.
“She… uhm… Twilight just recently started doing this and asked us to help. We didn’t want to at first but… things got complex, and we got involved and she wanted to keep going with more creatures. Ahuizotl made our list of creatures native to Equestria we don’t know a whole lot about,” Rainbow said and A.K. just looked at her. “At first it was a medical thing. If we knew more about the insides of creatures, doctors would be able to cure what ails them better.”
“Ok. So she wants to write about Ahuiztol and… to do that I have to get eaten by him. And that’s what these potions are for. I drink one now, right here, and it’ll do something to me. Then, right before he eats me, I drink the other one and I’ll just wake up here,” Rainbow nodded and A.K. looked at the potion she was supposed to drink, shrugged, popped the cork, and downed it. A few seconds later, she shuddered as she felt something happen. “Ok. Now we just find Ahuizotl.”
The two of them left her cabin and headed for one of the temples near by that A.K. new he’d frequented. Once they reached the temple, Dash followed her in until they made it to the central chamber. Plenty of hiding places meant Dash could dip into any of them and film from safety. Dash watched from the safety of the perch she’d found behind a statue, after making sure it actually was a statue. The camera Twilight had sent with them activated and flew up to get a good view.
“Ahuizotl! Come out here you bastard! We need to talk!” A.K. shouted and Dash watched as the statue across from her came to life. She should have known that was Ahuizotl. Just looking at it would have given him away. He roared as he jumped from his pedestal and towered over his enemy.
“What do you want Daring Do?” the creature asked and A.K. stared at him. She stared for a long time. “Daring Do!” he shouted, and she jumped.
“Don’t yell at me! This is hard enough as it is,” she shouted, and he actually looked surprised. In all their years of being rivals, she’d never actually yelled at him. “Let me think.”
“So… you are not here to steal one of my treasures?” he asked her. Daring ignored him, choosing to pace instead. His eyes never left her while her mouth moved. She was trying to decide how, exactly, to ask her question. Finally she stopped and looked in the direction of the floating camera.
“You owe me for this Princess.” Ahuizotl blinked and started to follow her gaze before her next words caught him off guard. “Eat me.” He froze and stared at her for a moment before leaning close, looking at her carefully.
“Is this some sort of trick? Some… ruse to get me to drop my guard so your little friend can swoop in and steal my treasure? Yes, I know you are up there blue one!” he shouted, causing Rainbow to poke her head out and wave.
“Not at all,” Daring sucked in a breath then went over what the note had said. “Princess Twilight is updating the Equestrian Royal Bestiary. Rather than simply updating it on the outward appearance of creatures as they grow, she wants to fill in missing information. Namely, how creatures’ insides work. She has developed potions to allow ponies to be eaten and document their… experiences with a safety net. I already drank one at home… I just need to drink this one and then…” she stopped for a minute, having trouble getting the next words out as she pulled out a pale pink potion. “You eat me and drink this potion.”
Ahuizotl stared at her for a moment while his tail came around and grasped the small bottle lightly. He looked at it carefully, examining the contents. It looked like strawberry milk. Or perhaps cherry? He couldn’t be certain without tasting it. “And what will this do?”
“I don’t know. I didn’t make the potions. Princess Twilight did. I drank the first one. I have no idea what this one does,” she says as he stares at it. “You have to eat me before you drink it.”
“I have been wanting to eat you for a very long time, Daring Do. It will be my pleasure to send you to my stomach,” he said as his hand topped tail transferred the bottle to one of his hands before it wrapped around her middle. Pinning her wings to her sides, he lifted her into the air with his tail and stared up at her. “It is no fun for me if you do not struggle. At least squirm on your way to your demise,” he said, staring up at her, really getting into it. She just groaned and pretended to squirm to try and get free. “I suppose that will do.”
She blinked at him a moment before yelping as he dropped her. His maw was wide open as she fell, landing rather hard at the back of his throat. The jaws closed around her, and the tongue slathered her with slime and slobber, tasting her in ways she had never been tasted before. “Would you stop playing and eat me already.” She snapped, growling at him.
“Can I not enjoy this?” he asked, keeping his teeth clamped so she didn’t come out. His tongue bounced her around a bit, earning a grumble from the small pony. This wasn’t fun for her; she was doing this for the Princess. She didn’t want to enjoy this. She didn’t want him to enjoy this. She wanted to get this over with so she could go back to her cabin and not write this entry of Daring Do.
She was about to protest to him again but the sudden shift in gravity shocked her. His head tipped back and she got a full view of the gape of his throat. Gravity dragged her forward and down and his “gulp” echoed in her ears as he sent her down to, what would normally be, her final resting place. She squeezed through the sphincter and splashed into his stomach which was already producing acids that started to tingle at her fur. He was hungry. He hadn’t eaten in a while. A cold jolt surprised her, and she looked at her left hoof. He’d drank the other potion. He didn’t want to kill her.
Her largest enemy, who had said on multiple occasions that he wanted to end her, didn’t want to digest her. He didn’t want to melt her down into padding on his ass and have free reign to take any ancient artifacts. The tingle was still there, but it didn’t hurt this time. She could feel herself melting. Even if he didn’t want to, she was going to be padding his ass next time she saw him. The potion had set to work immediately. She’d digest, sure, but she’d wake up in bed and be right after him the next day to get whatever he takes from the next temple back.
Fluttershy had volunteered to do this one alone. Twilight didn’t allow it. Celestia sent a guard. He was silent, but he’d get her out of danger if any came. Fluttershy and the guard walked in silence as they approached the more bog like part of the swamps. Froggy Bottom Bog had multiple different “levels” of bog. There was the dry swamp. Mostly a lot of mist and broken twigs. Then came the swamp itself. Wet mud that you could sink into up to your knees, lots of fog and bugs.
Then came the Bog. Mud that, if you weren’t careful, would swallow you whole and you’d never be seen again. Fog and mist so thick you could cut it with a butter knife. More bugs than any sane pony would ever want to see. And a multitude of creatures, anywhere between kindhearted and ferocious. The Bufogren balanced the scale between kind and ferocious quite well. Its stink alone kept would be predators out of its part of the swamp. Normally it only fed on bugs, as many as it could get. It was not, however, above the occasional pony snack.
The guard watched every angle while Fluttershy simply walked ahead. She knew where one lived. A large Bufogren that enjoyed a good conversation as much as the next pony. As the stink grew, the guard faltered in his step. He didn’t want to go any farther, such was the stench. He, however, was carrying the camera and equipment and he would be the one taking notes. He had to go with her.
Fluttershy was, somewhat, used to smells like this at the Sanctuary. It was a safe place. No eating other guests, no fighting. It’s meant to be a place to relax. As they came to a deeper part of the bog, the guard heaved a couple of times and they stopped. There was a Bufogren nearby. Setting the suitcase down, the guard put on the respirator mask while Fluttershy took out the anti-digestive cream. Just one in the number of anti-digestives Twilight had developed for use in updating the bestiary.
The cream was flavored. Bufogren liked the mint leaves that grew around their Bog, but they didn’t have the teeth necessary to chew them. In order to eat the mint, Bufogren would instead eat the insects that also ate the leaves, thus getting the flavor of the leaves through the bugs. The cream was mint flavored. One tube was enough to cover a pony. Now the task was simply to get his attention. A squeeze and a pop and the Bufogren looked up as Fluttershy smeared the cream over her entire body.
She made sure it was in her tail and mane, on every strand, before walking towards the giant frog. One sniff and he’d snap her up with his giant tongue. The newly updated camera equipment would track her descent into the creature, recording everything. A pre-recorded audio log would be filled in at a later date by Twilight, during editing. Fluttershy didn’t even move far before the giant frog leapt out of his pond, spraying rancid smelling pond scum and rank smelling water everywhere. His landing knocked the little pony off of her hooves and into a patch of mint leaves nearby.
“Hello sir. I’m sorry we intruded on your nap. I was wondering… would you help us with a medical documentary? You don’t have to do much, just let us record you. We already know everything we can about the creatures of Equestria, at least their outsides. This will help us know the inner you.” Fluttershy was wonder with words when it came to critters. A Bufogren was no different. He was just a giant frog with multiple eyes after all.
A belch, followed by foul smelling air left his mouth. “Why would I agree? Why would ponies want to help me?” he asked, every word followed by a wave of stench. It took Fluttershy’s guide all of his restraint to not cover his nose in disgust.
“Because I want to help all creatures. No creature is inherently evil. You just want ponies to leave your swamp in peace. We just want to be able to keep you healthy enough to do that.”
“Covering yourself in minty slime?” The question was… expected. If they needed to have him cooperate, why not just share some mint leaves with him and talk to him.
“That’s the thing. You need to eat me. The slime will keep me protected in your belly and it will give you something you like to suck on.”
“If I suck it off of you… you wouldn’t be safe in my belly.” Another valid point, but Fluttershy knew better.
“While we’ve been talking it’s soaked into my fur. Even if you suck off what’s still on me, I’ll…” she was cut off as the Bufogren’s tongue shot out and slapped into her face, wrapping around her head. He was convinced. The guard jumped to work, lighting his horn and activating the camera drone as Fluttershy was pulled in and swallowed. A single movement and the entire yellow and pink mare was in the frog’s throat and on her way to its stomach.
Correction, stomachs. The camera’s x-ray function allowed the guard to see what was happening. Fluttershy traveled through the large frog’s throat and into a tight pouch where her body was massaged and squeezed. The potion in the slime would keep her unharmed, for the most part. Princess Twilight had done extensive testing on the slime with the aid of Trixie Lulamoon’s Manticore, Manny. It would take several hours, well into the night, before the slime was ineffective.
Even if it happened, Fluttershy would merely wake up in her bed the next morning, extremely hungry and feeling like she just went through an entire bar’s worth of booze. A poor effect of the potion should digestion occur, but the results were worth it in the end. The documentary gets made, nopony gets hurt, a creature gets a meal. Mostly guilt free.
The camera followed Fluttershy’s progress into the second stomach. A larger chamber with some acids. From the slight sizzle, the potion was effective, but they hadn’t gotten all of her fur. The guard watched as small patches burned off of her forehoof. She wasn’t concerned. It may have soaked through her fur, but her skin was safe. She’d just grow the fur back later. It moved and squeezed just like the first stomach before she was pushed through and into the third and final stomach.
This stomach was filled nearly to the top with a pool of caustic acids. Most of the time, without the aid of potions or spells or other means, this would be the final stop for any creature. The acid would melt away the creatures remaining fur and skin and potentially eat through bones. For Fluttershy, much like the acid in the seconds stomach, it was more like a warm bath.
Sucking in a breath, Fluttershy ducked her head under and was immediately sucked into the final tube. The intestines were wound tight and Fluttershy expressed some discomfort, silently, as her body was squeezed and twisted on its way through the tract. The Bufogren tried to hop away but a quick spell from Fluttershy’s guard stopped him moving much further than to lift his haunches and squeeze the small pony out.
Once she was clear, save for the very tip of her tail, the spell was released and the Bufogren launched deep into the bog. The momentum of his hop had built up while he was stuck. The guard walked over to Fluttershy, doused her off with a quick gout of magically summoned water that cleared her fur and skin of acids, and covered her in a blanket that would wear away the remainder of the potion.
Hours later, the two were back in Ponyville helping edit the footage. Fluttershy dubbed over the parts while she was in the stomach so it could be useful for classes and veterinarians. Twilight dictated her speech onto parchment that was taken by the guard back to Canterlot to be edited into the Bestiarum Primary, which would automatically add the pages into every other bestiary in Equestria. A genius idea by Twilight and Celestia with some assistance by Starswirl.
A filly raised her hoof in class. “Miss Fluttershy. Did you really get eaten by a big frog for the book?”
Fluttershy smiled and nodded, holding up her copy of the Bestiary. It had only been a week, but she’d managed to get the smell of Bufogren out of her fur. “I did. It wasn’t as bad as you would think. They do stink, but it’s not a bad smell. It’s a defense mechanism. Turn to the chapter on Bufogren,” she smiled as everyone did as she told them and read aloud to the class.
“The Bufogren stomach is powerful enough to digest a pony whole. However, like many a creature that inhabit the swamps of our homeland, they are insectivores. Meaning they eat insects and the like. They are capable of devouring and digesting ponies though it would take them far longer than they’d like. They are not a species known for their patients. Though large and lumbering, they tend to move around quite quickly.
“Bugofren are also rather conversationalist. Passive by nature, they would rather hold a conversation with a pony instead of eating them. They have three stomachs in which food is processed. The first stomach contains a liquid meant to soften the prey’s chitinous shells, making it much easier to digest. The second stomach is where further digestion takes place. Meat and muscle are dissolved in a pool of acids that would reach a full-grown pony’s neck in no time.
“After processing in the second stomach is finished, the meal is deposited into the third and final stomach which is full of digestive enzymes. Breathing in the fumes in the third stomach, should the prey have survived the first two stomachs, would be fatal, under normal conditions. The toxic gasses would render the prey unconscious, allowing the powerful acids to go to work on digesting the prey.
“The final stages of the journey are the long, winding intestines. At the end of which is a powerful sphincter muscle that is normally clenched closed while under the swampy waters the Bufogren calls home.”
The students were rapt during Fluttershy’s narration of the pages in the book. Each paragraph was accompanied by a detailed sketch of the inner workings of a Bufogren. One student raised her hoof and Fluttershy looked at her.
“Is there going to be a practical exam on Bufogren digestion, miss Fluttershy?”
Fluttershy had to pause for a moment. A practical exam would involve going to the swamp where the students themselves would become meals for hungry Bufogren, potentially without the safety net of the potion or a revival chamber. “No, I don’t think that will be necessary.” The shy mare said with a demure smile. She wouldn’t make her students get eaten just for a test.
Bonbon sighed as she and Princess Twilight strolled through Tartaros. She knew why she was chosen for this. She also knew that Lyra would have stopped her if she’d told the mare. She didn’t need Bonbon for this. Here in Tartaros, Bonbon was a hazard to the mission. Sucking in a bracing breath, she steeled herself as the two ponies walked forward. A single cage sat in the center, moved there by the magic of Tartaros itself. The path to Tirek’s cage lie behind it.
The potion was completely safe. Twilight had assured the mare personally. If anything went wrong, she’d wake up in her bed with no memory of what happened. That was a big if though. This was Princess Twilight. A whiz at potions, spells and all things magical. No way would something go wrong. She hadn’t drunk it yet. That would come before the actual documentation. Much like previous entries, the notes would be added in post.
They stopped between a cage holding an Orthros and another cage holding a Cockatrice. Their magic couldn’t escape their cages, but that wasn’t their reason for being here anyway. The cage in front of them was.
“You don’t have to do this agent. I can get somepony else.” Twilight’s voice almost made Bonbon jump. No. Sweetie Drops. She shook herself off and looked at her princess.
“I have to do this Princess. If I don’t, he will keep hunting me every time he escapes. He won’t be satisfied until he gets me. So let’s give me to him,” she said, and Twilight nodded once. She stepped back, set up her equipment, turned on the camera drone, and put up a shield between herself and the two beings in front of her. No. Not a shield. A bubble. Surrounding the two beings and the outcropping of stone. The Bugbear wasn’t going anywhere. And neither was Sweetie Drops.
A small prick of her hoof on a jagged outcropping and she stepped forward, placing her now bleeding hoof on the seal on the cage. “Remember me big guy? Well guess what. Todays your lucky day. You get what you wanted. A Sweet treat just for you. Can’t chew on it though. Just gotta suck and suck and suck until it’s slick enough to just be swallowed. I’ve got insurance this time. The Princess that helped me put you in here last time you got out. She can do it herself now, did you know that? Even if you get rid of me, you’ll just land yourself in that cage forever. So behave, and maybe your sentence will be shortened. Maybe.”
Sweetie watched as the cage started to open and stepped back. Down here in Tartaros, the creatures were much larger than back in Equestria. Maybe something to do with the magic down here. The Bugbear stepped out of the cage and absolutely towered over the mare. Certainly wasn’t this big in Equestria. Sweetie watched it stretch all six of its massive limbs before its eyes landed on her. It already knew she was there. Now it was just playing. At least that’s what she thought.
A roar caught her off guard and she was surprised yet again as the Bugbear’s massive jaws clamped down around her head. It didn’t bite down. The creature was smart. If it killed her, Princess Twilight would shove it right back into that cage. Forever. Instead, it shunted its head forward, stuffing more of the mare into its jaws, her head entering its throat.
Gravity shifted for Sweetie Drops as the Bugbear lifted her off of the ground. It shifted further as the creature itself left the ground. She was certain it was flying around in circles inside the bubble, showing off its prize to other creatures she’d captured. Chimerae, cockatrice, orthros, many others. The Bugbear is the one who got to eat her. The Bugbear, the one creature who escaped thanks to Tirek only to get thrown back in here. The Bugbear, the only creature that was dragged back, yet again, by Special Agent Sweetie Drops.
One swallow. That’s all it would take, and she’d be gone. He’d be free to terrorize Equestria all over again. A clearing of a throat and he looked over at the Princess that had created the bubble around them as well as allowed her to open his cage. He remembered that one. Tirek complained about her a lot. How she’d stopped him from taking over Equestria. She’d turn him into paste if he did away with the pest of a pony that kept throwing him in here.
The look she gave him was all the encouragement he needed to behave. Tipping his head back, he sent the mare in his maw down into his belly. A sharp pang on his neck made him wince and he noticed a purple glow. Had she killed him anyway? No, he could still breath. The glow moved down, and he could see it at his belly. It wasn’t on him. It was on the mare. A precaution. Did their magic even work here? His belly rumbled and the purple princesses just watched, writing down everything she saw.
It took minutes but he felt like it had taken hours. His belly had continued to gurgle. He wondered if the princess was going to rescue the mare or if he truly was going to have his revenge for all of this time imprisoned. Thinking she had also come to sacrifice herself, he lunged only to be slammed backwards. The bubble. It was meant to keep her safe as well. Looking at it, he realized it wasn’t the bubble. Her shadow shimmered. What sort of magic was that? He’d seen enough unicorn magic to know it’s shape. That wasn’t it.
Truly an hour had passed, and his belly had gone silent. Had she sacrificed the mare? Did he truly have his revenge? The purple princess wrote down the rest, popped the bubble around them… and suddenly he was held to the ground by an immense magical force. Hers. She walked over to him, and that same magical force pried his jaws open. A liquid was tossed into his throat and his maw was pressed closed. His nostrils were blocked as well. He had to swallow or drown. Swallow he did. When she was satisfied, the force released him.
He was angry. She’d made him drink something against his will. He roared. Her shadow roared back. Much louder. He cowered back and scrambled back for his cage. Was it poison? Was he going to die soon because he had digested that mare? The cage was slammed shut and everything in Tartaros went back to normal. He was returned to the holding area with the rest of the beasts.
“What happened?” Tirek asked when he was returned to his place in the center of Tartaros. “You free us and send me back here, powerless and alone. When you return, everything changes. Why?” he asked, and Twilight looked at him. Cerberus joined her near his cage and stood guard.
“Believe it or not, I have a question for you Tirek,” she said, and he stared at her. The large three headed dog standing nearby gave him pause, but he could sense something. Something had latched onto her and was going to go for a ride.
“Ask, and I shall answer you only with truth.” She scoffed but stood tall in front of him.
“Your people. Do they only feed on magic?”
Her question shocked him. He didn’t know how to answer at first. Centaurs weren’t welcome in Equestria because of what he’d done. As far as he knew, he was the last. Did other centaurs still live? Was it possible his mother and father still ruled in the lands far to the west?
“No. I learned to feed on magic using one of my Father’s books. He was a sorcerer much like myself. Far more skilled than I all those years ago, but I learned to take more magic. Make myself stronger. My people eat just the same as you Ponies,” he said, sneering the final word.
“Good. Enjoy your stay, Tirek.” She turned and walked away from him, and his cage was moved to the farthest edge of his platform. He watched as she rolled out a mat, placed crystals around it, and lit her horn. The crystals lit up and began dissolving, swirling into the center of their small circle on top of the mat. The crystal dust spiraled in a tornado of sparkling light before it all condensed on the mat.
Bonbon sat up with a gasp, feeling her body and then her head. She looked at Princess Twilight for a moment. “Never ask me to do that again.” Twilight merely smiled and teleported them, and her equipment, home.

Ooooooh. Cliffhanger. Anyway... yeah. Bugbears and Bonbons. That coulda been the chapter title but I think "buggery" works better. After all, Twilight does kinda scare the bejeesus out of the poor thing.
If ya'll will notice, I am doing some more fatal-ish stuff with these. I'm good with temporary fatal stuff. It's when stuff gets permanent with characters I enjoy that I draw the line.
As for Twilight's shadow... that will be explained in the next chapter. Promise.
Rarity walked through the diamond dog tunnels. She’d volunteered for this rather than waiting to be asked. She knew Twilight was going to ask somepony, so she felt it polite to just volunteer. She did have ulterior motives to be here, however. Without Spike, some creature was going to have to haul the gems back. Her predator would do just fine.
She knew the path. She’d been too and from the Diamond Dog city plenty of times to barter for gems. They wanted gems, in general. She merely wanted the finer stones. She would find gem deposits, they would dig them up, their most skilled appraisers would look at the gems and she would get the finer gems that were the purest while the Diamond Dogs got the rest. It was a win-win situation.
The diamond dog who was going to swallow her sat in the largest chair they could find, trying to make himself comfortable. An act that was giving the prim and proper mare a rather unobstructed view. She eventually cleared her throat and he looked at her as if just realizing she was there. “Pony is impatient to become Dog Food?” he asked, and Rarity just rolled her eyes.
“It’s simply that… well the camera equipment has been set up for several minutes now. I am beginning to think you are stalling for time because you do not want to eat me.” The dog huffed and stepped down from the chair. He was several times larger than she was. So large, in fact, she was certain she could fit inside his nostril. She wouldn’t bulge his middle at all.
“Why would pony think that? Lobo merely is getting comfortable so that after he has eaten pony, he does not have to adjust in his seat while pony digests into ass fat.” He wasn’t annoyed. At least she didn’t think he was. He was talking softly so his voice didn’t echo and hurt his own ears. “Perhaps it is Pony who thinks Lobo does not want to eat her. Is pony worried about her curly purple mane? Or her purple tail? Lobo could always cut them off.” Rarity’s eyes went wide as the large white dog grabbed what looked like a massive farming scythe.
“No no. That’s quite alright. I am worried about my mane and tail but they will be fine. I will shower once I am home.” His laugh caught her off guard.
“Home? Ponies home will be pile at the base of Hound Mountain once Lobo’s guts have finished with it.” Rarity swallowed nervously. Already he was referring to her as “it”. She wasn’t a pony anymore. Not even worthy of a name in his eyes. She was food. One did not give its food a name. He was doing her the courtesy of talking to her already.
“You… you did read Princess Twilight’s letter… correct?” she asked, and he looked at her for a moment. Could they read? Her eyes flicked to the large scroll sitting next to his seat and he turned to look at it.
“Too much time. Summarize.” He commanded and she swallowed again. He really did make her nervous.
“The… the letter explains the circumstances of my visit but… in summary… Princess Twilight is updating the Royal Bestiary and we came across an entry for Diamond Dogs.”
“Dogs know of Royal Bestiary. Only pony who ever came here to write about us is the author, Thorough Quill. Is Pony suggesting author not as thorough as he claimed to be?” He asked and Rarity shook her head.
“No, certainly not. But… he did not get any information on… your insides.” She jumped when the massive hound barked with laughter.
“Pony wishes to see Lobo’s insides? Very well. Thorough was kind pony. If pony is adding to Dog Friend’s book, Lobo will oblige.”
Rarity sighed with relief and was about to thank him for his generosity when she found her world replaced by darkness. It wasn’t wet. It was merely dark. His paw. She hadn’t seen it coming. Hadn’t even heard it. She was only there for a moment however. Gravity became obsolete as she looked down.
The view made her freeze. Twilight had told her how terrifying it could be. How it could freeze your blood and make you feel like time stopped. Gazing into the gaping maw of a predator about to swallow you whole. Even if she was going to be safe, even if she could teleport out if it got to be too much for her to bare. The sight of the throat of a predator gaping wide to greet you was enough to make her blood run cold.
As gravity caught back up with her, she couldn’t even see herself falling. Her eyes were focused entirely on the dark abyss rushing up to meet her. She couldn’t even scream. The giant dog’s jaws snapped closed around her and a loud swallow nearly deafened her. Not that he really needed too. Enough saliva had built up that the moment she fell into it, she was simply sliding down the abyss of a throat.
She recorded everything mentally. She had to. For the bestiary. For Twilight. She exited the throat and fell once again. It wasn’t as long a fall as from his paw to his throat. The splash down into acids would have worried her if she hadn’t quickly used the acid resistance spell Twilight had taught her. Did she have to wait here? Did she have to teleport to safety? Did she have to simply let time pass and she would pass with the rest of the Dogs’ food?
Thoughts came to her in rapid succession. If the documentary failed, most of the creatures in it would rush Ponyville. Ponies were willingly feeding themselves to monsters now. It must be ok to simply eat them now, right? Celestia is allowing this. It must be ok.
Sweetie Belle caught in a cage with her friends, swinging from a giant monster’s hip. The cage door opening and a massive hand coming in and plucking dear sweet little Sweetie from the cage. Sweetie screaming as she was raised above a gaping maw before being dropped in.
Rarity clamped her eyes shut as the thoughts came to her. She didn’t want to see them. She didn’t want to think that the documentary could be the start of Equestria’s end. Twilight was doing this for medical science. This wasn’t a fatalistic cry for help. Nor was this a list of possible suicide attempts. This was a medical documentary.
Rarity teleported herself back to Ponyville all the same. Her thoughts were placed into a crystal sphere. Twilight had designed these for ponies who didn’t want to recount their experiences verbally. She left out all of the negative thoughts. They weren’t needed for the documentary. Certainly Twilight didn’t need to know that her friends, at least one of them, was terrified.

Rarity volunteers to go, alone, to visit the Diamond Dogs. What sort of fashion designer would she be if she left behind diamonds and jewels after all?
“So let me see if I got this right. You want me to eat one of you, no takesies backsies, because you want to write about my insides?" Discord asked, pacing the length of the map table. At least his legs were. His top half remained in place, staring at Twilight. His arms were mixing tea with Fluttershy and Rarity while his tail "arm wrestled” with Rainbow Dash.
“Safely.” Celestia cut in before Twilight could say the exact same thing. “We are trusting you, Discord, to do this safely. You cannot digest the pony you eat. You must do this so that we can get information, medical information, about your inner workings. You may be the only Draconeques we know of, but on the off chance there are others of your species, we want to know what sort of internal structure your kind has.”
Discord’s hands stopped mixing tea and tapped an invisible chin. His chin. His tail won the “arm wrestle” with Rainbow and gave itself a round of applause. “Well alright. If it’s for that fascinating documentary of yours, I will oblige you. On one condition.” His hands suddenly came over and held up a single finger. “You are the one I will eat, Celestia. Think of it as… revenge. For turning me into stone for thousands of years. You spend a few decades in my belly, we’re square.”
“Wh… decades? Discord, this is only for a documentary. We didn’t spend any longer than a few minutes in the predators that ate us. Keeping Celestia in your stomach for any longer isn’t fair,” Twilight said as she flew up to his head height.
“I accept,” Celestia said, and Twilight looked at her mentor as if she’d lost her mind.
“Princess, spending that long in a stomach… even someone like you could be in serious danger.”
“We’re immortal, Twilight. Remember? At least Luna and myself are. I’m not sure if alicorn immortality really transferred to you or Cadance or not. Either way, I can spend a few decades in Discord’s stomach without any serious repercussions besides a tangled ratty mane and tail. I trust any descendant of Rarity’s will be more than capable of helping me tame the mess.”
“But… how will we get the information about his insides?”
“Twilight, you really do underestimate your own abilities, as well as mine. I’m sad that you don’t trust that I can relay the information to you magically just as easily as I could send you letters.”
Twilight blinked, suddenly aware that she’d hurt Celestia’s feelings. Her mentor looked visibly saddened by Twilight’s lack of faith in her.
“Alright… but… please be safe. I don’t like the idea of watching you get eaten alive.” Celestia smiled and touched her horn gently to Twilight’s. A light spark, like always, passed between them.
“It will be fine.” The princess turned to Discord who gathered up his various parts and became whole again. “Alright Discord. I’m all yours. You will dictate the number of decades. I will say this, however. No more than six. Any longer than that and I will free myself.”
“Fair enough Celestia. Now, without further ado… bone apple teeth.” He said and Celestia opened her mouth to correct him only for him to shove her entire front, crown, regalia, boots and all into his throat.
The swallowing was quick. Discord wolfed her down like he hadn’t had anything to eat in centuries. The massive bulge that was Princess Celestia passed through his throat, curled up tight like a ball. The six ponies present watched as the bulge passed between his collar bones, down his chest and into his long stomach where it immediately disappeared.
They were about to attack him, simply for breaking his word, when he held up a paw. A small window appeared in front of his paw. Through it, they could see Celestia. She was whole and fine. Floating in a massive swirling vortex of magic. It was as if she was laying in a wading pool.
"There we go. And for the information..." he sucked in a breath and another bulge passed up his throat. Just as large as Celestia. Twilight glanced at the window, thinking he was letting her out immediately. She was still there, floating in the vortex.
What came out of his mouth instead was a scroll. It was massive. Several times of magnitude larger than any scroll in the library. “What’s this?” Twilight asked and he scoffed.
“For a book worm like yourself, you sure do like to ask questions about books. It’s all the information you could possibly want on how my insides work,” he said, and she looked at it. It was huge. Was there really that much to know? “Now then, for my willingness to participate in your little study, I want a reward.” She blinked and turned to look at him.
“Isn't storing Celestia in your stomach for… however many decades… enough?” she asked, and he stared at her.
“Hardly. I have been trying to eat one of them for eons. The fact that I’m doing it as their friend is not lost on me. But… if you’re good at something, never do it for free. So I want a reward for being a willing volunteer.”
“Fine… what do you want?” she asked. He stared for a while at the mares present before pointing at Fluttershy.
“I want all of you to watch. While Fluttershy feeds herself to Little Discy.” He said and the six mares stared at him before their eyes were drawn downward. Twilight should have known he’d want something depraved. His shaft was out and bright red for all of them to see. It was ribbed like a dragons’ but far longer.
“You want Fluttershy to do what ?” Rainbow shouted. “No way. Nuh uh. Not a chance in Tartaros. That’s sick. She’s not even your special somepony and you want to eat her with your dick? ”
“Yeah.” Discord said. The bluntness of his response stunned Rainbow to silence. None of them could even think of anything to say. “I get to eat Fluttershy, with my dick, and she gets to squirm around in my balls for… a week. I won’t turn her into ball batter,” he said, “unless she wants to,” he said much softer. “You have my word as an eagle scout.”
The mares all stared at him. They were still dumbfounded, both by his request and how blunt he was. He seriously wanted to eat Fluttershy, with his penis, and keep her in his balls for a whole week. He stared around at them for a moment before shrugging. Taking their silence as a yes, he walked over to Fluttershy, his long dick swaying in the wind, and pushed her entire head into the tip.
The five mares watched as their friend was slurped into the shaft of their second real enemy turned friend. It was as if his dick was a snake. Every inch of Fluttershy it took, it pulled back. When it took more of her, it slipped forward and took more of her in. Within moments, Discords balls were massive and squirming. It looked like Fluttershy had been split in half, or multiplied by two. Both of his balls were of equal size.
“There we go. I’ll bring her back in a week.” Before anyone could say anything, Discord teleported away.
“What the buck?!” Rainbow snapped and Twilight turned to look at her blue friend. Her face was flushed with a mixture of anger and arousal.

There we go. Two chapters in one night. Might do more, dunno yet.
Of course we have to include everyone's favorite Draconeques. Ok, maybe second favorite since a lot of folks know about Eris. And of course Discord is going to make things just as chaotic as he possibly can. Not one but two meals. Not even putting both in his stomach. Fluttershy should be fine, right? I mean, it's Discord. He wouldn't turn her into baby batter, would he? He cares about her too much. Right?
“I don’t know about this Twilight… I can’t control myself when I give in to dragon greed.” Spike said, staring at the jewels and gems kept just out of his reach behind a bubble of magic.
“I know. I’m counting on it. That’s why we’re all out here. Far away from the castle and Ponyville. So that when you get bigger, you don’t step on anypony or break any of the houses,” Twilight said. Her concern for the town was just. The latest entry to the Bestiary was dragons. They were just waiting for one more.
“Here she comes.” Rainbow said and the five mares present looked up as the Dragon Lord flew into view. She wasn’t much larger than the last time they’d seen her.
“That’s also why Ember’s here. I’m pretty sure she knows how to control herself under the effects of dragon greed,” Twilight said and Ember nodded.
“Yeah, I can. What’s that got to do with why we’re all the way out here?”
“Because you and Spike are going to give in to dragon greed, grow really, really big, and then eat us. In lots of different funtabulous ways.” Pinkie said and Ember blinked. She blinked again, rubbed her ears, and shook her head.
“Huh?”
“Exactly what Pinkie said. I have a list for the two of you to follow, so you won’t be eating me. Do you know how to induce dragon greed?” Twilight asked.
“At will? Sure, but I don’t… wait… this is for that documentary thing, isn’t it?” Ember asked and Twilight smiled and nodded. A groan escaped the dragon lord. “Fine. C’mere Spike.” The two dragons walked off a ways, Spike looking forlornly at the pile of gems.
Twilight didn’t bother them. Instead, she proceeded to set up the equipment, lay out a blanket, and set up a small picnic. A few moments later, the two dragons walked back. At least that’s what it looked like. Twilight watched as the reality hit her. They weren’t walking back. They were getting bigger. Spike changed to a more “dragon like” appearance and Ember went down on all fours. The two dragons looked down at the ponies as if waiting for a command.
“Can… can you talk like that?” Twilight asked and Ember nodded.
“Yeah, it’s just easier not to. Our voice boxes are down here and that’s a long way to travel just to make a noise other than a roar,” the dragon lord said, pointing at the center of her chest. “So, how’s this gonna work. We each get to eat two of you?”
“Well, not exactly. Rarity volunteered to be one of Spike’s… meals. Applejack is with her. That leaves Pinkie and Rainbow for you. We’ll start with Spike. Applejack, would you go first please?”
Applejack nodded and walked over to Spike. “Be gentle now Spike. This is a one-time thing.” The farm mare said, and Spike nodded. He lowered his head and Twilight watched as he opened his massive mouth and lolled out his tongue. It rolled out towards Applejack’s hooves like a red, or in this case pinkish orange, carpet. The mare shivered but stepped onto the “carpet” in front of her, walking into the massive maw.
Gentle as he was, the clack of his mouth closing still startled the ponies present. It startled Applejack so much that Spike almost choked before tipping his head back and swallowing. The bulge was miniscule. At this size, Applejack barely made a dent in his throat. The second she passed his collar bone, she was lost. There was no bulge in his stomach. Using the camera equipment, Twilight watched through Applejack’s eyes as she looked around. The contacts worked. Spike’s stomach was enormous. If he stayed this size forever, Twilight could set up a workshop. Even a study room. In his stomach.
Shaking her head, she looked to Ember next. Pinkie was practically bouncing in place in front of Ember, but Rainbow stepped up. “You can eat me, Ember. I kinda owe ya after kinda sorta making you lose the race for Dragon Lord to Spike,” Rainbow said and Ember huffed, blowing a ring of smoke before rolling her eyes. A very clear sign of “it’s no big deal”. Ember copied Spike, lowering her head down for Rainbow. She couldn’t lay as flat as Spike, however. Her lower jaw was just slightly thicker than his. Taking more after her father in head shape, though she was still narrow and sleek.
Rainbow flew into Ember’s mouth and landed on her tongue. She was about to tell her giant friend she was ready only for the clack of Ember’s teeth to silence her. A swallow later and a similar small bulge slid down Ember’s long neck and into her waiting stomach. They’d be fine. The spell lasted a full month. It had to since many of the predators Twilight was planning to write about were enormous.
(Past this point, all interactions that include Spike are of age. He is an adult dragon. I did not clarify a time stamp because I didn’t feel the need to at first… now I do. Spike has become an adult dragon, so any sexual interactions are fine.)
“Ok… now here’s the tricky next part,” Twilight said, swallowing her nerves as a blush formed on her cheeks. “Sexual… organs.” Ember turned and stared at her, blowing a puff of smoke at her. Not a fan of this particular bit. “I know… I’m sorry… I didn’t tell you everything. Please Ember, it’s for the good of all dragon kind. What if someone you… care about… becomes egg bound? She’s going to need a doctor who knows what they’re doing.”
Ember stared at her for a long while before blowing another huff of smoke. She agreed, she understood, she still didn’t like it. At least it was one of her closer friends, one who had helped her become dragon lord. She leaned slightly before falling over onto her side. She was still massive compared to ponies, but laying like this gave Pinkie a platform to climb onto.
Spike was easier. He sat down on his haunches and Rarity smiled up at him. Ever the eager drake to please the alabaster mare, the simple act of smiling at him got the drake hard. His shaft came out and bobbed near Rarity. “Such an eager drake, Spikey Wikey. You really do love me, don’t you?” Rarity teased. She knew it was a tease, but it worked out. She wanted him hard and eager. The longer he was hard, the easier it would be for her to enter his balls.
“Wait your turn, Rarity.” Twilight reminded her before turning back to Pinkie and Ember. “Ok. Go ahead Pinkie.” Twilight prompted and Pinkie nodded before going up on her hind hooves. Even standing on her hind hooves, she only just reached Ember’s slit. Ember accommodated her by closing her hind legs just a little. That simple act brought her slit to Pinkie’s height.
Without any hesitation, PInkie spread Ember’s slit open. The bright pink insides contrasted heavily with the pale blue of her underbelly. A squirm and a hop and Pinkie’s head disappeared into Ember’s slit. The three creatures present watched as Pinkie squirmed and crawled, working her way deep into the dragon lords’ ever moistening sex. Twilight wrote down, physically, every detail. The folds of muscle, the glistening moisture, the ever so subtle pop as Pinkie disappeared past the lips.
Ember panted as her slit closed, her scales sealing back over it. She’d let Pinkie out later.
Turning from Ember to Spike, Twilight nodded.
Rarity seemed more eager for this than she had originally. Twilight watched as Rarity kissed the very tip of Spike’s shaft, giving it a gentle lick, before pushing her head inside. Spike flushed and gritted his teeth as Rarity started climbing in. Before long, she didn’t have to do anything. The muscle contractions alone pulled Rarity into his shaft quickly. Unlike when he swallowed Pinkie, Twilight could watch as the bulge her friend made vanished past Spike’s own scales. Dragons didn’t have external balls.
Several hours passed. Twilight had teleported Applejack and Rainbow out of the two dragons, but they had yet to calm down from the other two. More than once, Rainbow had volunteered to “go in and get Pinkie”. Twilight turned her down, instead wanting it to go naturally. Eventually, Ember lowered her hips close to the ground and Pinkie came spilling out of her slit. Twilight used her magic to dry the bubbly mare off as she walked over to them.
Eventually, all eyes were on Spike. Even Ember’s. Another two hours passed. Even with Rarity inside his balls, he shouldn’t be hard this long. Twilight opened her mouth to ask if he needed help, but Ember beat her to it.
Wrapping her massive lips around Spike’s shaft, she started giving him a dragon sized blowjob. All of them watched as Ember sucked him off. It barely occurred to Twilight what might happen until Spike bucked his hips. Ember locked her lips around the base of his shaft and swallowed every drop. When her mouth came free, his shaft disappeared back into his body. Rarity was out.
Turning her eyes to Ember, Twilight stared at the Dragon Lord as she licked her lips. Everypony knew where Rarity was now. The massive dragon looked at them as Spike shrank down. When he was done shrinking, he was no bigger than a pony. Ember remained large. She knew where Rarity was. Almost as if she’d planned it. Spike stared at her then looked at his crotch before looking at Ember. “Spit her out Ember. Come on, that’s not what we agreed on.”
Ember just smiled at him and pat her belly. “I don’t know. I might keep this one. I liked having a pony in my belly,” she said carefully, her large voice barely above a whisper yet still easily heard. Twilight knew it was a tease and she was just trying to get a rise out of Spike. The young drake opened his mouth to argue but Ember grinned and heaved. Rarity soon spilled out of her throat and onto her tongue where she was rolled, gently, onto the ground. “With that you’re done with me, yeah?” Ember asked as she shrank. Her voice returned to normal.
“Yes. Thank you for your help, Ember.” Ember nodded, stood and flew into the air, taking off for the Dragon Lands. This was a story she’d be keeping to herself. Can’t have other dragons thinking Ponies had started willingly feeding themselves to dragons after all.

Twilight does an entry on gargoyles with a... unwitting accomplice. Afterwards she gets quite the surprise from the current reigning Princess. It's hard work ruling the country on your own. One tends to get... testy.
WARNING: Cozy Glow is a statue during this. She is no longer a living, breathing, pony. Her rights as a living, breathing anything are gone. She is just a statue. Statues have no say in their lives. Thus, Cozy becomes Gargoyle Food.

Twilight stared at Princess Luna for a long time. Longer than most ponies would usually be comfortable with.
“While Celestia is… indisposed…” Luna paused to cast a long stare at Discord. “I will be assisting you with your update of the Bestiary. You say your next entry is gargoyles. Then I have the perfect volunteer.” A clack of her hoof on the throne and the doors to the garden swung open.
Two guards wheeled in part of the newest decoration to adorn the labyrinth. The statue had been separated months ago. As a precaution, in case they are ever freed. The statue that was Cozy Glow stared the five ponies in the face. “You also have come at a perfect time,” The princess of the night said as the room slowly darkened. “Gargoyles only become active at night.”
As she spoke, several statues around the throne room sprang to life. Some looked like stone apes with small bat wings and tiny goat horns on their heads. Others looked like stone ponies. One stood out. The one that stood above the throne. It was much larger than the others around the room. Its head was that of a dragon. It had a body similar to the ape like ones. Adorning the end of its arms were dragon like claws. Its feet were cloven hooves and a narrow tail ending in a spade unwrapped from around them.
The gargoyle dropped from its pedestal and stared at the ponies in front of it. It looked at the five of them for a long time before round on Discord and roaring. The sound was like boulders crashing down a mountain, only muted. “He is a guest.” Luna said and the roar silenced. “We have a task for you.”
The gargoyle turned and looked at Luna before bowing. “Swallow that one. Whole. Do not chew it,” The lunar princess said, and the massive gargoyle followed the point of her hoof to the small statue of Cozy Glow. It turned back to look at her, confused. It had never gotten to eat a pony statue before. “You may keep it.” The gargoyle blinked, staring at Luna for a moment before leaping on the statue of Cozy Glow. The guards jumped aside as the gargoyle lunged.
Twilight and her friends watched as the massive hulking creature of stone lifted the statue of the young filly and dropped it into its stone maw. The sound of it swallowing was like wet stone sliding against wet stone. Its throat bulged, seeming to crack in places before resealing as the bulge that formed Cozy Glow disappeared past its collarbones. The stomach bulged out, cracking badly before the cracks resealed.
Twilight stared. It was over too quickly. She hadn’t even really seen anything. “Princess… that was… to fast. Even if I’d been taking notes, I couldn’t really see anything,” Twilight said and Luna tapped her chin. “Make it swallow me too. Slowly.”
“I will not. Thou art a friend, Twilight Sparkle. I shalt compromise. It may swallow one of thine drones, slowly, and thou shalt take notes,” Luna said. Twilight stared at Luna for a moment before nodding. Pinkie had been prepared. When Twilight turned to her case, Pinkie held out a drone. Twilight smiled as Luna silently conversed with the massive gargoyle. They were smart. Or at least had some form of intelligence. The massive creature eventually nodded and walked over to Twilight, holding out one massive hand for the drone.
Twilight placed the drone in its hand and watched as the stone creature examined the drone. When it found the camera, it placed the drone in its mouth with the camera facing backwards. It then stood there, as if waiting. Twilight paused for a moment, watching for any drool. When none came, she went to the case and powered on the drone. “Ok. You can swallow it now. Slowly.” The gargoyle blinked once and tipped its head back. The drone slid, slowly, into the gargoyle’s throat.
Twilight could see everything. Every flex and pulse of the, what was supposed to be, stone throat. It was like watching any of the other documentary videos in gray scale. The bulge of the gargoyle’s throat as it swallowed the drone moved slowly. It was perfect.
Twilight took notes on every little detail. The smoothness of the throat’s interior as well as the cracks of the exterior that immediately resealed as the bulge passed. The dry, lolling tongue of the gargoyle. Even Pinkie actively putting her hoof in the gargoyle’s throat to test the dry-ness. It was during that moment that the gargoyle looked to Princess Luna as if asking if this pony was a meal as well. Luna shook her head and the gargoyle stood still while Pinkie examined the inside of its mouth.
She even pushed her hoof into its throat, climbing up onto it so her entire hoof could be in the throat. Twilight took notes of that too. The gargoyle was stone solid everywhere, except for the throat. The bulge of Pinkie’s hoof as she pushed the camera drone into the waiting stomach. There was no expected shlork of Pinkie’s hoof coming out. Just a dull click as her hoof connected with a tooth. It didn’t chip, even a little.
The drone entered the gargoyle’s stomach and focused on Cozy Glow’s face. At least what was left of it. The stomach acids inside the gargoyle had made quick work of the statue, melting it down into what looked like wet cement. Twilight remembered from an old entry about gargoyles in the Canterlot archives. They didn’t produce fecal matter. Gargoyles didn’t have to relieve themselves. Anything they devoured, no matter the sediment density, would simply pool into more stone inside the gargoyle.
After thousands of years, the gargoyle would completely solidify, becoming nothing more than a statue. This gargoyle was thousands of years old. Simply judging from the size of it. It would take thousands more years for it to solidify. The statue that was Cozy Glow was missing a large portion of its body and half of its head. The head had broken off at some point before the drone arrived.
Twilight watched as the acids melted down the rest of the statue formerly known as Cozy Glow. She began to wonder if her drone would survive a full trip. Her answer came when the camera started to become fuzzy. Quickly, she teleported the memory file out of the drone and into another one. If a gargoyle’s stomach acids could break down steel just as easily as stone, even a protection spell wouldn’t stand a chance.
It dawned on Twilight that there was a large reason Canterlot Castle had stood so long, even before Celestia had taken over as Princess. A very large reason. The gargoyle stared at her for a time before Luna ordered it to return to its position. “You all may stay here for the night. My guards will show you to your rooms. Twilight Sparkle, accompany me please.” Luna ordered. Twilight’s friends all bid her goodnight as they followed the guards out of the antechamber. Twilight fell into step with Luna as the Princess left the building and entered the garden.
“Tell me truly Twilight. Did my sister volunteer to allow herself to be devoured by Discord?” Luna asked once they were alone. Even the guards had let them enter the garden alone. They would watch the entrances.
“She did. And not long after, Fluttershy was… eaten… by his… uhm…” Twilight blushed, unable to actually say it.
“I see. And everything is still alright? He is not plotting anything nefarious or attempting to conquer Equestria?” Luna asked. Twilight paused for a moment. She wasn’t entirely sure. He’d promised he wasn’t and that he was just having some chaotic fun. Naughty chaotic fun.
“It is. He promised that he would release Fluttershy in a week.”
“And my sister?”
“He wasn’t specific… but he said decades.” Luna groaned as she covered her face with her wings. The two stood in silence for a while before Luna’s wings returned to her sides.
“Very well. Inform Discord that I expect him to assist me with ruling Equestria. In the same way that Celestia would. The exact same way. No chaos, no changing things to benefit him. He will assist me in the exact same manner that Celestia would. Raising and lowering the sun, attending morning court, dealing with delegates and nobles, attending banquets and meals. Nothing Chaotic. Be very specific. Should he disagree… I am certain we can release both Celestia and Fluttershy before we return him to a stone prison for eternity,” Luna said and Twilight blinked. She’d never seen Luna this serious before.
“Alright… I’ll do that,” Twilight said, and Luna nodded.
“Before that… however…” The pause in Luna’s voice made Twilight stop. She turned around to ask if the princess was ok only for her vision to be surrounded by dark navy blue that gave way to pink. “I wish to have some fun… you may put this in your documentary.” Luna’s voice was muffled but near. Twilight knew exactly where she was. Rather than struggling or fighting, she simply relaxed. Luna wouldn’t hurt her.
Some muscle clenches and squeezes, a bit of wriggling and squirming. Eventually Luna got every bit of Twilight she could into her slit and tucked away inside her womb. Twilight would be safe there for the night. If a guard asked… well, Luna liked picking new guards to replace old ones that “retired”. Turning and walking out of the gardens, she almost hoped that at least three guards would question why she was so large.
She reached her bedchamber with only one companion. He would suffice for the night.
Rainbow sighed. She volunteered to do these entries for the Bestiary. She said she would help Twilight. It was only natural that she was the one who was chosen for this. After all, she had history with them. She flew into the old cloud bank they used to hang out in. She didn’t expect the creature she was looking for to be here. Landing on the nearest cloud to the entrance, she stared straight ahead.
“What are you doing here, Rainbow Crash?” That voice had always affected her. When they were younger and still friends, it made her wings flutter and her hips twitch. Now, it just made her skin crawl. The venom in the words was almost physically painful.
“Hello Gilda.” Rainbow said as Gilda came into view and landed a good four to five pegasus lengths away from her.
“I ask again, what are you doing here?”
“It’s complicated.”
“Uncomplicate it.”
“I can’t because you won’t believe me.”
“Try me.”
“I need you to eat me.”
“Yeah right. Funny joke Crash. What’s the real reason.”
“The real reason is I need you to swallow me whole.”
You could cut the tension with a knife. Gilda stared at Rainbow for a long while. It was lucky Rainbow didn’t have anywhere to be. “Cut the crap Crash. There’s no way you want me to swallow you. You’re way to cocky and proud to even joke about that.”
“It’s all right here Gilda. All you gotta do is read it,” Rainbow said, holding up the scroll that Twilight wrote to go with nearly every single situation like this.
“Hello, sir, madam, or otherwise.
“Perhaps you are curious as to the situation you currently find yourself in. What the pony before you says is fact. I, Princess Twilight Sparkle, am currently in the process of adding more information to the Royal Canterlot Bestiary. The pony before you has volunteered to assist me by getting devoured, whole and alive, with a special camera that will record everything they see so I can write it into the Bestiary at a later date. Please do not misunderstand, the pony standing before you is not suicidal, nor are they in any other way sick, having ill-intentioned thoughts, or are they mentally unstable. They are simply helping me add information that the Royal Canterlot Bestiary is sorely lacking. Please and thank you for your cooperation.
“Princess Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship, Third Princess of Equestria, Barer of the Element of Magic.”
“Wow… official. So this is legit. I get to swallow you whole.”
“Yup. You won’t digest me though. Twilight cast a spell on all of us so if we’re eaten, we won’t die.”
“Bummer. I was looking forward to holding this over your head forever. Literally. Alright Crash, bottoms up,” Gilda said. Before Rainbow had a chance to react, her former friend pounced on her. The beak in front of her opened wide and began to descend on her. Rainbow reached up and pushed Gilda back.
“Let’s get one thing straight here Gilda. I’m not doing this because I like you again. I didn’t even want to be the one to come and do this. I wanted to wait until Fluttershy was back and have her come out here and do it. But she’s not and I know you. That’s why I’m here. I’m not here to reconcile or anything so no touchy-feely crap while I’m in there, got it?”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. Shut up and let me eat you Crash,” Gilda said, lunging forward and engulfing Rainbow’s head in her maw. Rainbow didn’t even fight, and Gilda growled, pulling her former friend out. “I’m eating you here, stupid. At least put up a fight.”
“Why? You know why I’m here, so you know I’m letting you eat me.”
“Because… because… oh screw it. Find another gryphon.” Gilda said before shoving Rainbow into the cloud and flying off. Rainbow stared at Gilda’s retreating tail, bewildered. She’d thought that Gilda would leap at the chance to eat her. When Gilda didn’t fly far, Rainbow got up and followed her.
“Hey. What’s eating you huh? You’re the one that’s supposed to be doing the eating.” Rainbow said as she landed nearby.
“Yeah, well, not like this. I wanted to stay mad at you forever. Wanted to hate you. Something like this comes along and I wanted to be all too happy to stuff you down my gullet and have you padding out my ass. Not like this. I don’t want you to want it. I don’t want you to be ok with it. Damn it, you’re Rainbow Dash. When we were little, you kicked all the ass. Now here you are, practically shoving your way into my throat without a care in the world.”
“You know it’s…”
“It’s for that stupid book, I know. That doesn’t change the fact that you are willingly feeding yourself to me. I want to eat you but not because you want me to eat you. Hell, if this is how it is, go talk to Grandpa Gruff or Gabby. Have one of them eat you instead.”
“No way. It’s either you or somepony else does this with somegryphon else.”
“Why? Why me?”
“Because we were friends and I figured this could be one step towards becoming friends again. You eat me, we do this documentary thing, maybe we do it again however many times you want. I dunno. Twilight didn’t say if this spell was permanent or not so maybe sometime down the line, if you outlive me, you can actually add me as padding to that fat ass of yours.”
“My ass is not fat.”
“Hell yeah it is. You eat too many of those crepes.”
“No it’s not Crash. I work out more than you do.”
“Yeah right. You already getting flabby in your old age, old gryph.”
“Take that back Crash, I mean it.”
“Or what? You gonna fly away home to mommy?”
“Can it Crash.”
“Make me flabby feathers.”
Gilda glared at Rainbow. Her glare only intensified as Rainbow continued to tease and mock her. “That’s it. You asked for it Crash.” Gilda said, lunging at Rainbow and engulfing her head in her beak.
Did she know this was what Rainbow had planned all along? Yeah, she did. Sure. Did she care right now? In her anger, no not really. Gilda tipped her head back and bobbed, gulping Rainbow down into her waiting crop. Like all bird like creatures, Pegasi included, Gilda had a crop. Gryphons stored food in their crops for their young after long flights. She didn’t know what Pegasi did with their crops. Gilda gagged for a moment as she swallowed Rainbow’s tail.
When the blue pest was in her crop, Gilda stood up on her hind legs. Her chest looked like she’d just stuffed an extra gryphon or two into one of those shirts the Abyssinians liked to wear. “There. Not so cocky now, are ya Crash. What are you gonna do now?” Gilda asked before pausing. “Oh for crying out loud. Dang it Crash… you knew I’d do that if you made me mad.”
A laugh was all the answer she got. Rainbow did know. The only way for something her size to go now was down. Normally the crop would mash food down into a past for young gryphs. Rainbow was far too big. She’d simply pass into Gilda’s stomach soon, whole and unharmed. When she came out, she be a little singed and missing some fur but otherwise unharmed. “Fine. Stew in there for all I care. I’ll just crap out your remains and show off my new curves to the boys back at Gryphonstone.” Gilda lied. She knew it was a lie. She knew Rainbow knew it was a lie.
She couldn’t digest Rainbow. Even if she wanted too she couldn’t Rainbow knew she couldn’t. Instead, Gilda sat on her rump and let Rainbow stew in her crop for a little longer. She could draw this out at the least. Rainbow would get bored sooner or later.
After around thirty minutes, Gilda growled as she pushed Rainbow down. She hadn’t moved herself, so Gilda had to do it. Swallowing gulps of air was keeping them both alive. With Rainbow in her crop, she was pressing against Gilda’s lungs, making it hard to breath. As Rainbow slipped from her crop to her stomach, Gilda sucked in a much-needed breath. She’d keep swallowing breaths of air to keep Rainbow alive.
Having food in your stomach was one thing. Having a whole, dead, pony in your stomach was something else entirely. There were stories of griffons who had raided pony villages and returned with ponies stuffed in their crops and in their bellies. The ponies in their crops had been let out to be used for manual labor. Or relieving urges. The ponies in griffon bellies had suffocated and died. Subsequently, the griffins had died as well since their stomachs were in a constant state of stasis. That much food had sent them into hibernation mode, shutting off their stomachs.
Gilda would let Rainbow out later. Long before there was any danger. Then she would throttle her.
Hours passed and Gilda finally stood up. Rainbow hadn’t moved in a bit. Asleep probably. Good way to save air. Gilda heaved, using her claws to lift her stomach and push Rainbow back up into her crop. More heaving and Rainbow soon spilled out of her crop, her mane and tail burned off but otherwise she was unharmed. “You look stupid bald.” Gilda said as she tried to fight off further vomiting.
Rainbow opened her mouth to say something, but Gilda turned and sat on her head. “You owe me Crash. Puking something up sucks, even for mother gryphs. Start licking.” Gilda ordered her current seat as she squirmed her hips. Rainbow mentally shrugged and pushed her snout into Gilda’s slit. She supposed that was the least she could do.

Silver Stream was nervous. The head mare had called her into the office ten minutes ago. She still hadn’t been let inside. Her parents were here, the Princess was here, and the Queen was here. She’d hoped maybe they’d be so astounded with stairs they would forget the meeting entirely. She paced in front of the door just waiting to be let inside.
After what felt like years, the door finally opened. Her parents stepped out, gave her a big hug, and then went to look at the stairs. Headmare Twilight called her into the office. She walked in and looked at the three creatures in the room. The Headmare sat at her desk, one of the cameras she used for presentations hovering next to the Queen. Queen Novo sat on the couch, taking most of it for herself. Princess Skystar sat near Headmare Twilight.
"Thank you for coming Silver Stream. I apologize for taking you away from lunch for today, but I hope you’ll understand why. As you know, my friends and I, as well as many other denizens of Equestria, are updating the royal bestiary. We feel it’s only proper to include Hippogriffs as they have been excluded from the current volume.”
“Are you talking about the book you and the other professors are writing where you get eaten and write stuff down so doctors know what they’re looking for on the inside?” Skystar asked and Twilight nodded.
“I thought this could be a good learning opportunity for Silver Stream. If… you would like to assist me, Queen Novo.” Twilight looked at the Queen. Novo shrugged as she stood up.
“I suppose it couldn’t hurt. You’ve got some special spell on you that lets you awaken in your bed after you’ve been eaten right?”
“Not… exactly. I have a spell that will let me pass through you cleanly.”
“So… I am just going to… have you inside me until my next bowel movement? I think not Princess Twilight. I will compromise, however. One of your… eager… students was following me down the hall until I reached your office. Allow her to be the one I swallow.” Had it been anyone else, Twilight would have immediately said no. She simply couldn’t risk it. Queen Novo, however, usually got what she wanted, even if told otherwise. There was every reason to suspect she’d simply eat the student and leave.
Twilight nodded and opened her door. There, on the other side of the door, sitting as if waiting for something, was a young mare that was practically a clone of Fluttershy, if her colors were inverted and she were an earth pony. Amber Tulip was a good student. She volunteered for side projects of the general staff regularly. Queen Novo stared at her for a while before looking at Twilight. Twilight nodded and Amber stepped forward and sat in front of the queen.
Novo stared for a while, as if unsure of what to do. Amber just continued to stare. After a few moments, she turned and looked at her principal. “Do I need to… tell her…” Amber’s question was silenced as Queen Novo slotted the smaller pony into her maw. Her beak stretched around Amber’s head and shoulders as the Queen lifted the small mare into the air, tipped her head back, and swallowed.
It took moments before Amber was in the queen’s stomach. Novo belched as Amber settled and Twilight watched, taking notes of just how quickly the smaller mare reached the queen’s stomach. After a few minutes, Novo came to a realization.
“Princess Twilight… you did not cast any spells to ensure the mares’ safety. Will she be alright?”
“She volunteered for it. She was a good student but she volunteered to take the entire trip through without any protections.” Twilight said and Novo stared at her stomach.
It took merely three hours for Novo’s body to work the mare through. Twilight took notes the entire time, writing down everything. She didn’t keep anything out, from the gurgling to the slow growth of Queen Novo’s hips. When all was said and done, Novo let out a belch and Twilight wrote down, for her own records, how loud a belch was produced by digesting pony. Novo stared at Twilight for a moment, watching the pony princess take her notes. Looking towards the door, she spotted a single guard.
The guard was staring at her, but he didn’t seem to be on the defensive. She was a queen; he could trust her. She wasn’t going to abscond with the Princess in her belly. He also wasn’t her guard captain. Queen Novo had met him on her way in. He was a nice stallion. Handsome, powerful looking, and occupied. Training guards was taxing work. The guard in the room was just a trainee.
He was also clearly interested in something other than guarding. Novo grinned. The plan was perfect and hadn’t even been completely fermented in her mind. Turning her flanks to the guard, she flipped her tail up over her back and swayed her hips back and forth. The guard stared at her swaying hips and her puffy hippogriff pussy. Twilight wasn’t paying any attention. She was so enthralled in her notes.
The guard approached and Novo moved quickly. The helmet came off first and the armored barding fell to the ground as she slotted her hippogriff pussy down onto his head. The guard thrashed and squirmed, and Novo flushed as she pressed her beak tight together and forced him into her slit and womb. His thrashing only made her wetter, and she quickly pulled him into her slit and tucked him away into her womb.
If she wanted to leave without the Princesses Captain stopping him, she had to make sure she didn’t have a thrashing pony tucked away in her womb. Flexing her stomach, she did something she hadn’t done in ages. Her womb muscles squeezed, flexed, and pumped. A few moments was all it took. The pony was soon reduced to little more than some sloshing juices to be sprayed on the next stud to pump into her folds. She grinned to herself as she stood up and walked out of the castle. Waving at the Princesses other guards, she took to the air and returned home.

This chapter feels, to me, like it was all over the place but it's been several days in the works. I kept losing where I was going with it, going off to other things, and then spending a week dealing with a bout of COVID that had me miserable for a week or more. I apologize if things went a little nutty with this chapter.
Skystar was always willing to help her friends. Pinkie and Twilight came to visit them in Seaquestria, her mother using the Pearl to turn them into seaponies. Twilight had a book with her this time. Bound in magic to keep it from dissolving in the water. A Bestiary. Two point oh. Whatever that meant. She wasn’t entirely sure helping with this was going to be the right kind of helping though.
The three of them swam to a deeper part of the ocean. A castle barely visible from her own home. There was an… uneasy peace between the Hippogriffs and the Merponies. Hippogriffs didn’t invade, by which the Merponies meant attacking without warning. The Merponies, in turn, wouldn’t retaliate. The two of them could live in harmony, strained though it was. Skystar would relay Princess Twilight’s message.
Merponies didn’t speak Equish. Barely spoke at all. Hippogriffs and Merponies could communicate while the hippogriffs were in their seapony forms. A telepathic link or perhaps “fish speak”, bubbles and the like or movements. Twilight was going to take notes. As they neared the Merpony kingdom, the two earth bound visitors marveled. It was gorgeous. The spires were made of coral, towering higher than one would think. The castle looked as though it would rival the Crystal Empire in height and beauty.
Nearing the gate, Skystar and the two ponies stopped. The two Merpony guards that approached them didn’t look much different from Hippogriffs when they were under water save for one difference. Merponies were larger. From their heads to their tails, a single Merpony was easily twice the size of a Hippogriff turned seapony. Skystar informed the Merpony guards why the other two were with her.
Some fish speak bubble talk was exchanged before the guards gestured for Twilight and Pinkie to follow them. A look at Skystar was enough to tell them she wasn’t invited. She waved to her friends before turning and swimming away. Entering the castle proper, Twilight and Pinkie were given seashells. One of the Merpony guards showed them how to put them on. Doing as they were instructed, they felt little tentacles wrapping around their necks.
A slight pinch and the bubble talk of the Merpony guard turned into Equish. A translation mollusk. That’s what he called it. It would allow them to understand what was being said as long as they wore it. The “interloper” princess had informed them why the land dwellers were there. While it didn’t seem wholly necessary, several of their own ventured to land from time to time. While they could live under the water, it was nice to breath the open air sometimes. Getting sick while above the waves was a death sentence.
Perhaps a medical journal could help with that problem. The King of the Merpony people was an intimidating being for certain. Unlike Queen Novo, King Andreas was enormous. Seated on a throne of coral his many tentacles wrapped around the base of it, holding him in place. The trident resting at his side seemed like one of the pillars of the castle. The easy smile that graced his face was the only thing that put Twilight at ease.
A quick explanation, as well as his own waterproofed copy of the bestiary, and he agreed. He would allow the Princess to get the information she needed. His daughter and son would assist her. Twilight was about to ask what he meant when she was suddenly grabbed from behind by a tentacle. She was turned rapidly in the water and had to wait for the bubbles to clear before she could see what was happening. Her face flushed as she watched as Pinkie was taken in by a male of the species.
She wasn’t eaten. Not by his mouth. No. His eight tentacles had moved back, revealing his front and the long shaft that was slowly engulfing her pink friend. From the way Pinkie squirmed, she’d initiated contact. Twilight had to sigh but then remembered the drones and cameras. Pinkie’s drone was circling the prince, recording everything. The camera lens on her eye was also recording. Even if she didn’t get any notes, she’d be able to transcribe everything.
Twilight was about to thank him for his eagerness to help until she felt something warm and sticky around her hind hooves. Trying to look down herself revealed that the Princess had wound her entire body in tentacles and was lounging on her back, languidly feeding Twilight into her sex. No. Not a sex. There was a beak there. Twilight could feel it ever so gently gripping her legs. The Merpony Princess had two mouths. Taking rapid notes, while being eaten, Twilight re-amended her assumption. She didn’t have two mouths. Merpony female vaginas were simply protected by bone hard beaks. She made a mental note to ask later if that was a genetic design to deter unwanted mating.
Looking towards the Prince, she noticed that all that was left of Pinkie was a bulge traveling down the length of his shaft. And that he was swimming closer. Opening her mouth to ask what he was doing, Twilight was interrupted as he assisted the Princess with taking her in. His cock pressed against her forehead, her horn disappearing into the shaft, and he pushed.
In moments, Twilight was shoved into the Merpony Princess’ womb and jostled, repeatedly, as the two Merponies mated. She could feel him getting more and more vigorous, pushing harder with every thrust before he stopped. Twilight heard before she felt the torrent of semen join her in the womb. Following a short pause, Pinkie also joined her, followed by yet more Merpony semen.
Pinkie, for her part, laughed. It was all a game to her really. They didn’t actually have sex with the Merpony monarchs. Just… participated. Twilight sighed, taking as many notes as she could. She then started to feel something. A tingling around her hooves. Looking around, she noticed they weren’t in a womb. They were in a stomach. Lighting her horn, she quickly teleported them out. The drone did not go with them.
One week later, Twilight reviewed the notes and footage from their escapade with the Merponies. They weren’t as detailed as they could have been, but she got what she could from Pinkie. According to her pink friend, the male Merponies balls had been roomy. Slimy, sticky, and frequently tight, but roomy enough that she could relax comfortably. It was the opposite for the female’s stomach. Tight, hard to move around. Especially after being joined by Pinkie. Getting information from Queen Novo, Twilight amended a previous entry in the old Bestiary.
Merponies reproduced in a similar fashion to fish. The females would lay a massive clutch of eggs and every male in the vicinity would fertilize them. Twilight almost wanted to go back and witness that. She had a feeling, however, that she’d be witnessing it from inside a male.

And here we have another denizen of the deep. Meet... the Merpony. Half pony, half squid. It's a wonder how they reproduce, since the females "vagina" is also a second mouth. Might have to study that next time Twilight.

The Guards of the Night
“So… you want one of mine guards to eat Rarity? Whole and alive?” Luna was incredulous. She knew of Twilight’s quest to update the Equestrian Medical Bestiary. She’d already read many of the reports she’d sent in recently. She just wanted to be sure this is what was actually going on. She was in Ponyville, two of her guards sitting right behind her. The female guard looked just as incredulous as her princess. After all, she was the one Rarity was sitting next to, waiting to be eaten.
“It’s for the Bestiary, yes. We know frighteningly little about your guards. The Bat Ponies. Chiropteques. That’s literally all we know about them is their scientific name. For all we know, their bodies work so much differently than any other pony, current medical knowledge wouldn’t be enough to help them if they got dangerously ill. And being that they are your personal guards and entourage, we need to ensure that they can be kept healthy.” Twilight said, droning on in her way.
Luna saw the sense in her reasoning. Being nocturnal by nature, her guards were more prone to diseases brought on by cold weather. During the last Winter, many of her guards had fallen ill to the common cold and it had taken much longer for them to recover. “However…” Luna interrupted, Twilight pausing in her self-focused lecturing. “How would we do it. I am not certain their mouths can open quite so wide.”
“Oh, well… uhm… Rarity volunteered to allow me to use a shrinking spell on her and our equipment so she can record and report. Though we wouldn’t be able to see her progress, being small enough for a pony to swallow her hole we…” Twilight stopped with the bat pony mare raised her hoof.
“I can swallow her just fine at this size, ma’am.” She said and even Luna looked at her guard. To demonstrate, the mare gently gripped Rarity’s head and opened her maw. The two Princesses watched in amazement as her mouth opened wider than any other pony’s mouth could have and Rarity’s head rested on the, slightly, smaller mare’s tongue, completely framed by her mouth. After a few moments, the two separated, Rarity’s head slightly wet and the mare’s jaw popping back into joint.
“That… yeah. That will do. Is that alright, Princess? May I borrow them for the evening?” Twilight asked and Luna nodded.
“Of course. You may borrow her. I need one of them at least to draw my chariot home. But she must be indoors or below ground before sunrise. They are nocturnal, Twilight.” Twilight nodded as Luna and her stallion guard turned and walked out of the castle library, making for the landing platform across the hall. As son as they’d left the room and boarded the chariot, the guard strapping himself in to pull Luna back to Canterlot, Twilight looked at their guest.
“Ok… so… uhm… you know why you’re here. Are you certain you’re ok with this?”
“I will do as requested of me ma’am. If it helps save lives, it is part of my duty as a Night Guard.” Twilight nodded and moved to set up the camera equipment. When she turned around to ask them to start, she was surprised to see Rarity already halfway down the night guards throat. Even while swallowing her, the guard did her best to keep Rarity modest, her head turned in such a way that the camera would see Rarity’s Cutiemark disappear past her lips.
Twilight watched as the guard swallowed her friend. A smirk appeared on the guards face as she stood up and walked towards the Princess. Twilight’s view of Rarity’s hinds, sticking out of the guards mouth, made the Princess blush. She didn’t want to stare but she couldn’t look away. She stared for so long that her muzzle wound up pressed against Rarity’s slit. She heard and felt Rarity’s surprise as her alabaster friends’ hind legs squeezed around her head, the squeak, though muffled, loud enough to get her attention.
“I’m going to swallow you both now, Princess.” The mare said. Twilight’s eyes went wide, wanting to ask how she spoke so clearly with an entire mare lodged in her throat. The question died on her lips as the guard mare swallowed, pulling Twilight’s head in with Rarity’s hips. Twilight was still too stunned to do much in the way of resisting. A couple quick swallows and she felt her hind hooves lifted off of the ground by the bulge that was Rarity in the mare’s stomach.
Gravity shifted and Twilight’s hind hooves pointed to the ceiling as she was swallowed into the guard mare’s stomach to join her marshmallow-colored friend. She had assumed, from the angle of descent of them both, that she’d wind up with her head next to Rarity’s. Instead, her muzzle wound up smushed into Rarity’s sex as the rest of her body was forced into their temporary predator’s stomach somewhat painfully, her own plot landing on Rarity’s face.
The sudden intrusion of a unicorn’s horn into ones slit tended to cause “unintended spasms and sudden orgasmic bliss.” At least that’s what Twilight had read in a book once when trying to study sex and breeding. With how much Rarity started clenching around her horn, as well as the unexpected spatter of mare juices on her face, it seemed that was correct.
A belch reached them from outside. “I am so sorry Princess. I don’t know what came over me. Your friend just… she tasted so good I… I’m sorry. Please don’t tell Princess Luna.”
The next morning, Rarity and Lieutenant Deva were giving a lecture in Rarity’s class, presenting the video the camera had taken during Twilight’s information gathering test the previous night. It hadn’t caught much of their activities, but it caught enough that Rarity blushed and gave the lieutenant a cross look. “We shall have to discuss your uncouth behavior in private, Lieutenant. Perhaps while my students are at lunch, we will see how much you like being stuffed in a hole.” The last part of Rarity’s threat, though whispered, was somewhat obvious to her class. The look on the Lieutenant’s face made it clear enough.
The Smooze.
Very little was known about the sentient blob called “Smooze”. Discord had simply shown up at the Grand Galloping Gala one day with the Smooze. It had ruined the party by eating anything metal, ranging from dishware to accessories worn by ponies. Along with the ponies, at least for a moment. The party had ended on a rather sour note, with Discord threatening to send somepony to another dimension.
Strictly because of jealousy. Twilight, however, had decided she wanted to create an entry about The Smooze in the royal Bestiary. It existed, even if it was an extra-dimensional being. It could get sick, potentially. It deserved the best medical care possible.
“So that’s why I’m here.” Discord interrupted. Twilight blinked, looking around for who Discord was talking to. “Oh not to worry yourself dear, I’m just filling in for the writer. Now, you want to make an entry in the Bestiary about Smoozey. I’m certain I can help. I can even write it for you. You will of course be taking a first hoof look at helping my dear friend, won’t you?”
“Uhm… yes. I will. Who…”
“Let’s get started then shall we?” He interrupted again, clicking his talons. The two of them were transported to a dimension that seemed to be made of slime of various colors and textures. Even the ground Twilight was now sitting on, while looking like grass, was instead textured slime. Jumping to her hooves when some of the grass under her rump moved, she looked around. “Welcome to the Smooze Zone. I’ll come get you when the experiment is done.” With that, Discord teleported away, leaving Twilight and her equipment stranded in a completely different dimension.
“Ok… I still want to know who he was talking about. But since I’m here…” Twilight said as she levitated out the camera drone and her note pad. “I may as well get started.” The drone turned on and began floating around her, examining everything as she walked through the slime field. “I have been brought to a dimension Discord says is home to The Smooze. I’m unsure if the creature is a singular entity or if it is a species, but that is one thing I will find out. When I find it.” She said to herself.
Walking along the slimy ground, Twilight took notes of everything around her. Textures, smells, sounds. The ground beneath her hooves felt solid but had some give to it. Enough that she could bounce quite easily. Pinkie would have a good time here. The trees also seemed to be made of a similar substance. Less give than the ground but still enough to bounce off of them. She was about to look for a lake when she saw the subject of this experiment. “Mr. Smooze. Just the slime I’ve been looking for.” She said as she approached it.
The Smooze turned towards her, its eyeless face looking confused for a moment. “Discord brought me. I was wondering if I could take notes on your, well, everything. I am writing entries into the Royal Bestiary, and I feel it is unfair to have not included you and yours.” She said. The Smooze just continued to stare at her. “I’m not sure if you even understand me. Uhm… extend a tendril from your left side if you understand.” She said and a short nodule of a tendril extended out of its left side. “Excellent. Now, I’m going to ask you some questions. Since I’m not sure if you can speak, we’ll do yes or no style questions.
“For example, I will ask male or female. If you are male, extend a tendril when I say male or vice versa.” She said, waiting for a moment. “That... was also a question. Are you male or female?” she asked, and the blob remained motionless. “Wait, is that your answer?” It jiggled in a way that seemed to be a nod. “So… you’re neither or both?” she asked, and it extended a tendril. “Both?” The tendril remained out, and she smiled. “We have established communication.”
For the next while, Twilight asked a multitude of questions relating to the Smooze as a species. Ranging from the mundane, such as what it ate to sustain itself to how many of them there were. Many of the answers surprised her. The Smooze’s food included anything within its home world, as it could ingest anything and, being everything in the realm was made of slime, simply absorb it for the nutrients that particular sort of slime provided. The number of its species ranged in far too many for this particular member of it to accurately count. Once Twilight had as much general information as she could gather, she turned to the other questions.
“Being a slime creature, how do you hold your shape? Do you have a gelatinous membrane surrounding your body or is it purely magic?” she asked and the Smooze wobbled. “Unsure… may I touch you to find out?” she asked, and it nodded. Reaching out her hoof, Twilight touched what would be where the Smooze’s chest was. “Slimy to the touch and slightly firm…” she said before pushing slightly. Her entire hoof and much of her foreleg sank into the slimy “flesh” of the creature. “Yet malleable and soft enough to penetrate easily.”
Pulling her hoof out, she lit her horn and attempted to lift the Smooze. “Magic Resistant…” Smooze shook. “No… Repellant?” Another shake. “Impervious?” Different shake. “Magic Impervious. That is certainly something. It’s good that your species is so friendly, Smooze.” A wobble. Laughter. “No? Just you?” Affirmative shake. “So… I’m not entirely safe here.” Negative shake. “I am safe here?” Affirmative-negative wobble. “Yes but no. I’m only safe here while with you?” Affirmative shake. “Because you know Discord.” Affirmative shake. “Wonderful.” Sighing slightly, she sat down as she took more notes. “Magic Impervious. Safety somewhat guaranteed because of association with Discord. Species non-friendly towards others.”
She continued to take notes on observations she’d made simply from that short conversation. Once she was certain she’d taken as detailed notes as she could, she searched for Discord’s residual magic in the air. Finding it not far away, and rather heavily, she figured he was still in the realm, if not near them, just invisible and waiting for her to tell him to take them home. “Alright. Moving on to part two of the observational section. Setting a timer for… two hours. That should be enough time. After two hours, Discord should come to get me.” She said as she turned away from The Smooze and set up her camera equipment.
“Alright Smooze, now that the question-and-answer section is complete and we have the basic understanding of your species, I have one more task before it’s time for me to go.” She said and the Smooze wobbled, she had his attention. “I need you to eat me. Slowly. So I can observe and take notes. My camera drone will also observe from the outside and record any physical changes to yourself. It will also track my vital signs and, I apologize for this, give you a light shock if I’m falling below safe levels. That will be your cue to release me as naturally as you can.” It wobbled again. Affirmative wobble. “I am so glad you’re so friendly. Is there something I can do to make this more appealing to you?” she asked, and it stayed still for a moment. She’d figured out that meant it was thinking and observing.
After a long pause, it slid past her to her pack and pointed at a spare gemstone she had to power the camera. “You want that? Are you sure? It’s so small, I don’t think it would do much for you.” She asked. It wobbled again, extending two tendrils from its sides and touching itself where its heart would be if it had a normal body. “A gift? To remember me by? Smooze, you won’t be digesting me. I will be perfectly safe.” More wobbling, pointing at her, making circles with its tendril arms before pulling them suddenly into itself with a plopping sound. “Oh. Because I’ll be leaving after this. Ok. Sure. As a gift to remember me when I leave.”
Twilight smiled as her horn lit and she lifted the gem out of the case, affixing it to the Smooze’s chest with magic. “Now we’re friends.” she said, smiling brightly. Smooze wobbled excitedly and Twilight was about to give him the go ahead to start the experiment when he suddenly surged outwards in all directions. She flinched a little, but he didn’t engulf her that way. Instead, he seemed to simply be excited to have a friend. When he returned to his normal size, the gemstone was now in a spot that would be his forehead. She laughed, thinking he was trying to emulate his new Alicorn friend.
“Ok. Now you can eat me.” She said and the Smooze bounced towards her. As it approached, it opened its mouth so wide she could have simply stepped forward and there still would have been room. Instead, once it was around a food away from her, it tilted forward. Twilight pulled her camera to her as the Smooze came down around her before she was no longer on the ground.
She had no idea how long had passed, how many hours, or even if she’d been there for days. Had it been months? Years? Decades? She was sure she’d set a magical alert for Discord to get her out after a couple of hours. Maybe time went slower inside the Smooze. As soon as he’d eaten her, she could no longer feel her own body. She felt like her entire self had been absorbed by the Smooze. She couldn’t even move her head to look around. In fact she felt like she had no head. She was, as far as she was aware, a part of the Smooze.
What felt like more decades passed and suddenly she felt her body wobbling violently. Slowly, a sense of self started to come back to her. First her limbs. They ached somewhat but it wasn’t painful. More like she’d fallen asleep awkwardly and they were all numb. Then her body, that same numb sensation tingling everywhere. Then her wings. That was a new numbness. She’d never used them hard enough to make them hurt, let alone be numb. Then her neck, the tingling traveling up until she felt it in her head, all the way up into her horn.
With a sudden lurching that made her glad the ground around her was all slime, she was out. Discord stood over her, leaning down to look her over. “Well? How did it go?” he asked and all she could do was look up at him. Her whole body was still numb. “Oh don’t worry. She was only in there for a couple of hours. Time works different inside the Smooze.” He said. Twilight was sure he was addressing that being from before. Whoever or whatever it was. “Taking you back the normal way would hurt too much, Twilight. We’re going to have to do this the fun way.” He said.
Twilight knew that tone. She wanted to fight. Maybe kick him in the muzzle for scaring her. But she couldn’t. That numbness was preventing her from moving properly. All she could do was watch as he picked her up, opened his mouth, and sent her sliding down his long snake-like throat. She would have been terrified if she could move or even think properly. “Don’t you all worry. This is just the best way to get her home.” Discord said to whomever he was addressing. Patting his belly as Twilight settled into her ride, Discord opened a portal. “Come to think of it, I may take my time. I’ll take as many detailed notes as I can for you Twilight. Not to worry.” he said as he stepped through the portal.
The portal itself closed slowly. Smooze watched as it sealed shut with a burp. Once it was closed, he turned and wobbled away towards whatever aimless destination he had in mind. After all, Slimes don’t have brains.

Whoof... longest entry yet I think. Almost 2100 words. Hope ya'll enjoy Twilight's adventures in Smoozeland. Threw in some Discord Vore at the end too, just because.
Twilight stared at the unmoving statue in front of her. Her guide had to be pulling her leg. That was a statue. She knew sphinxes were real. Right? AK Yearling wrote about one in her books. If she’d encountered one, they had to be real. But this was just a statue. The head was pony like with a lion’s halo of fur rather than a pony’s stripe of a mane. The body was lion. The tail was a giant snake. The wings were spread wide and unmoving, even in the desert wind.
Looking at her notes again, Twilight frowned. Sphinxes couldn’t turn to stone. That was a gargoyle thing. Her guide must have brought her to a statue of the Sphinx. Grumbling to herself, Twilight adjusted her veil, her only protection against getting sand in her eyes, and turned to leave. Suddenly the wind stopped. The sand all around her simply vanished, as if it had never existed.
“Speak, small pony. What dost thou seek by venturing into the domain that is Mine?” a voice asked behind her. She turned around and looked up. The Sphinx had come to life. Her wings were furled in against her back, her mane lay luxurious around her shoulders. Her front paws crossed over one another and she adjusted her position so she could stick her hind legs out straight.
“I have a request, great Sphinx. My name is Princess Twilight Sparkle, of Equestria. I am writing a bestiary which I hope will be used to aid in medical professions should ones such as yourself and others need assistance.”
“I have seen such tomes. The medicinal documentation of Sphinxes is quite intricate. What more could Thou have to learn?”
“We only know how to aid injuries to the outside of the body, great Sphinx. Ponies know frighteningly little about the inside of many creatures. I seek only to remedy that lack of knowledge.”
“And how dost thou seekest to change this. Didst thou come to carve Us open? To spill our guts upon the desert sands!?” The sphinx roared, the sand suddenly whipping into a frenzy around the two of them.
“No, Great Sphinx! I do not seek to harm you! Please understand, this documentary is to help ponies understand the inner workings on a living specimen!” Twilight shouted. The sand stopped, hovering still in the air. Twilight looked around, noticing that she could not see through the veil it created. If she couldn’t see out, nopony else could see in.
“Explain.” Twilight looked up at the Sphinx, seeing her quizzical gaze staring down at her. Twilight took out the bestiary, up to the point it was currently finished and held it up for the Sphinx. Particles of sand lifted it from Twilight’s grasp and carried it up to the creatures eye, turning pages until she had finished it to where Twilight and her friends had stopped. “Thou hast been very thorough in thine research.”
“How hast thou learned such things without ending the life of the creatures thou hast entered into thine book?”
Twilight swallowed nervously. She’d read in one of the other documents about Sphinxes that they were cunning. She had to phrase her explanation carefully or the Sphinx would take advantage of it. “To learn the inner machinations and operations of beasts and creatures large enough to devour a pony whole, I have developed machines that allow me to record findings through thought, which I transcribe into words to put into the bestiary.”
The Sphinx stared at her for a moment, as if taking in the meaning behind her words. “Very well. I shall indulge thou. If thou shall indulge me. Three riddles. For each incorrect answer, I shall be slightly rougher with thine body.” Twilight swallowed a little and then nodded. “In spoken bond, Princess, or the pact shall not be sealed.”
“Three riddles. For each answer I answer incorrectly, you will be allowed to be slightly rougher with me.”
“Good. Now. First riddle. What does the letter T have in common with an island?”
“You will find them both in the middle of water. That was easy.”
“We did not say they would all be easy riddles, did we?” The Sphinx asked and Twilight blinked, swallowing her nerves and shaking her head. “Good. Second riddle. What goes all the way around the world but stays in a corner?”
“A stamp. Because you stamp a letter and can send it all over the world.”
“Very good. Final riddle. In the morning, I stand on four legs. In the evening, I stand on two. At night, I stand on three legs. What am I?”
Twilight froze. She’d never heard that riddle before. It couldn’t be a pony. All ponies, young or old, stood on four legs. She knew it had to do with time in some way. “Dost thou give up, Princess?” the Sphinx asked, sounding closer than before. Twilight didn’t dare look. If she looked, she’d panic. Panic didn’t aid in critical thinking. She needed to think if she was going to figure this one out.
Ultimately, she wanted to get eaten so she could record what she learned about the inside of a Sphinx. She’d come here for that very purpose. A game of minds was something else entirely. Now she wanted to win. She wanted to prove that she was smart enough to figure out complex problems. Sighing, she looked up at the Sphinx. “I don’t know the answer…” she said and the Sphinx grinned.
“Wouldst thou like to know the answer before thou becomest mine meal?” Twilight nodded. “The answer… is man.” She said and Twilight froze. She’d been given a riddle no pony would have known the answer to. Sphinxes could see into other realities. Often traveled to them. As keepers of knowledge, they could do things no pony could do. Looking up to berate the Sphinx for giving her an answer no pony in Equestria would have been able to answer, she shrieked.
The Sphinx lunged down, expecting the frightened pony to run. They always ran. Instead, she merely let out a shriek as the Sphinx closed her maw around the purple equine. She wouldn’t chew her. It would not aid in her cause if he life were cut short. Instead, the Sphinx simply rolled the small pony around in her maw, tasting her. Enjoying her flavor. The sand didn’t taste good, it never did, but thousands of years of nothing but scorpions, Dune Dogs and desert dwellers had dulled the Sphinx’s tongue to the taste.
Once satisfied that she’d removed all of the sand, the Sphinx pressed her pony snack against the roof of her mouth and spit. The globule of saliva containing the sand hit the desert ground and instantly turned into a chunk of gold. Scooping it up, the Sphinx placed it near the Princess’ caravan. A prize for such an excellent showing of knowledge. But now it was snack time. Throwing her head back, the Sphinx opened her maw.
Twilight squinted as the desert sun assaulted her eyes from inside the Sphinx. Was she changing her mind? Letting her go for one more riddle? The tongue pressing back into her face answered her question as the great Sphinx swallowed her. The throat was tight but not unpleasantly so. She could hear the Sphinx’s heart thundering in her chest as she passed it and slid into the stomach. It was spacious. More spacious than Twilight had thought.
Making a mental note of that, Twilight observed everything she could. Every fold in the walls of flesh surrounding her, every pulsation when the Sphinx moved. The thundering of the Sphinx’s heart almost lulled her to sleep but she stayed focused. She had a job to do, and she would see that it was finished. “We suppose thou would like to know of the inner workings of my kind when we are statues. Brace thine self.” The Sphinx’s voice was loud. Twilight had all of a second to understand what she meant before everything around her froze.
It was more than that, however. Twilight herself felt like she’d turned to stone. Her mind was still working but her heart, her need to breath, even her limbs felt like they’d turned to stone. Just as quickly as she’d changed, she was normal again. In a panic, her horn lit, and she teleported herself out of the Sphinx’s stomach. She hadn’t meant to. She still had so much to study. A full trip through the creature was necessary for the bestiary. She turned to ask the Sphinx to eat her again only for a scroll to be pressed into her chest.
“Tis the information thou seekest. The research was done many centuries past by one who sought the knowledge. They did not last, however. But their knowledge persisted within mine own mind. We entrust it to thou, Princess Twilight Sparkle. Use it well to serve thine people justly and treat my kind fairly.” With that, the Sphinx returned to the giant stone pedestal she had been on, sat down and returned to stone. Twilight looked at the scroll before placing it, her notes, and the unneeded anti-digestion potion in her saddlebag. Placing it upon her back, she made the journey back to her caravan. At least they’d have a fun story to hear on the way back to Equestria.
But first, Twilight needed a bath.

Tried to be all "fancy speak" with the Sphinx. Ancient creature, wouldn't see the need to update its vernacular to "mingle with other creatures". Besides, most of the creatures it meets are either Saddle Arabians who want something... or desert dwellers who don't speak.
The Ophiotaurus was a… difficult creature to study. Solitary, elusive, and fast, the half bull half snake beasts that lived in forests near the borders of Equestria were hard enough to find, let alone capture for study.
That’s where Fluttershy came in. Friend to all creatures, she and Twilight had decided they would be the ones to find an Ophiotaurus. They weren’t generally mean spirited; they just liked their isolation. Herbivorous in nature, they weren’t generally known to eat meat unless they absolutely had to. This particular study required them to get one to eat meat. Specifically, Fluttershy. She had volunteered, surprising all of her friends. She wanted to know more about the creatures, and if being eaten by one so that she could help expand medical knowledge about them helped, she would do it.
Finding one wasn’t as hard as they expected. A quick search of Chrysalis’ mind, trapped in stone as she was, and they knew where a nest was. This nest housed two, a mated pair. Twilight smiled when they found the creatures, writing down in her notes what she observed. The larger of the two was a dark green color, much like the leaves on a pine tree. The smaller was a reddish pink. Unable to confirm gender of either one, she simply left that blank as she filled in the notes she could.
While snake like, the Ophiotaurus also had front hooves and could pull itself along the ground with them. The horns on its head were short, likely more used for scraping bushes out of the ground to get at the roots. Their eyes and lower half of their body was snake like. The larger green one seemed to be at least half a pony length longer than the smaller pink one.
“Ok Fluttershy, are you ready?” Twilight asked and Fluttershy nodded. She trusted her friend. Twilight would get her out of danger if anything went wrong.
Slowly, almost as if sneaking up on them, Fluttershy left the bush. Twilight’s camera collar on her neck recorded every step and the small drone behind her kept its lens focused on the two bull snakes. The first to look up was the pink one. It hissed and the two turned to slither away. “Don’t go.” Fluttershy’s voice was soft yet insistent. The two creatures stopped and the pink one turned back to look at her. Twilight’s camera was close enough to notice a distinct difference now. The small pink one had a more masculine build to its muzzle and frame while the larger green one had a slightly more slender build. Now she could gender them.
Female Ophiotaurus were a dark shade of green to match their surrounding environment, blending in with the trees and bushes. Whether it was for camouflage or confusing would-be predators, Twilight wasn’t exactly sure, but she knew where she could find out. For now, she had a task. Keeping her camera focused on Fluttershy, she wrote down what she’d observed so far.
“I know you don’t normally like guests but… uhm… I was wondering… could you… maybe… eat me?” Fluttershy asked, her gentle little voice sounding as if she was begging the creature to eat her. The larger female Ophiotaurus looked at her, confused, and snorted. Much like a cow. “I know it’s an odd request but… my friend is updating the Canterlot Bestiary… and we wanted to make sure we knew… about how your insides worked,” Fluttershy said, and the female blinked. Twilight wasn’t sure if she was confused or understood what was going on.
Twilight kept taking notes, most of them now about how Fluttershy could so easily communicate with the creatures. She was so enthralled with the notes that she nearly missed the female picking Fluttershy up and engulfing half of her friend in a single bite. The camera drone flew over to watch as Fluttershy’s own camera turned on. The male moved to eat the drone, but the female growled at him around Fluttershy’s rump. Twilight tried to use her magic to move the drone, so it didn’t have such a clear view under Fluttershy’s tail, but the magic of the Ophiotaurus seemed to be interfering.
Deciding to just edit the footage later, Twilight took notes of what she could see. Fluttershy wouldn’t narrate. They’d agreed that she didn’t actually need to see anything, so her eyes were shut tight. Stepping out of the bush to see better, Twilight watched as two strong swallows from the big female sent Fluttershy into her chest, only the shy mare’s tail still sticking out of her mouth. Was she going slowly so Twilight could take notes on everything Fluttershy’s camera saw? She didn’t know, but she was going to capitalize on the opportunity. As soon as Twilight’s quill stopped moving, the big bull snake female swallowed again and Fluttershy slid easily into the long body of the snake.
Twilight had expected the four chambered stomach of a cow to be present in some form in an Ophiotaurus. Instead, it had a single stomach in its long tail. It was quite roomy and Fluttershy was able to move around quite a bit. It wasn’t roomy enough that Fluttershy could just walk out, instead she’d have to settle with being rescued by Twilight’s magic. The male Ophiotaurus hissed at Twilight, something between a moo and a hiss, when she got too close to the female’s stomach. The female hissed back, and the smaller male shied away.
Twilight touched her engorged snake stomach softly. “Fluttershy, can you hear me alright in there?” She asked and she received a tap of confirmation against her hoof. “Just tap twice if you’re ready to come out and we can go home. I think I got enough information to make the documentary video informative enough,” Twilight said, waiting for the two taps. “If you don’t tap twice, I’m going to teleport you out myself.”
An insistent tap followed that, and Twilight jolted a little. Was Fluttershy trying to say something? The small camera on her collar didn’t have a mic and it wouldn’t get to Twilight anyway, since she didn’t have a headset. Pressing her head to the Ophiotaurus belly, Twilight listened. Fluttershy’s voice was soft, but strong.
“She’s a plant eater Twilight. Her stomach isn’t strong enough to hurt me. I’m fine in here until she lets me out.”
Twilight blinked and groaned. “Fluttershy, we have to go back to Ponyville before dark. The Ophiotaurus turns to stone in the dark, remember? The sun is already starting to go down,” Twilight said and Fluttershy was silent for a moment before tapping twice. Twilight stepped back and lit her horn, teleporting the shy mare out.
“Sorry… Twilight. It was just so comfy and safe in there… I… I felt like I wouldn’t have to worry about anything sleeping in there,” Fluttershy said, and Twilight nodded. It made sense that the shiest pony she’d ever met would want to feel safe and comfortable. She couldn’t deny she’d felt safe in Manny’s stomach when she started this whole endeavor.
As if sensing Fluttershy’s emotions, the big female tapped her on the back with her nose. When Fluttershy turned around, the two mares gasped. The female Ophiotaurus was holding one of her eggs. Fluttershy took it gently and looked up at the big cow snake. The Ophiotaurus snorted softly before slithering over to her mate, curling up around him, and turning to stone around their eggs the minute the sun dipped far enough to hide them in shadows.
Fluttershy and Twilight stared at the statues for a moment before looking at the small egg. It was also made of stone now, but it wouldn’t be tomorrow morning. Fluttershy would set about to making a small nest for it and learning everything she could about raising one the minute they got back. Twilight smiled at the statues before teleporting the two mares, and accompanying egg, back to Ponyville.

Ok. Another chapter busted out. We'll get to the Ophiotaurus unbirth chapter eventually. I did give Fluttershy an egg for a reason.
It had taken quite a bit of convincing. Celestia and Luna were with her this time. Twilight was the one doing the study itself. The three of them had taken every precaution. They weren’t sure how magic would work inside a dragon. On the trip to the dragon lands, by train most of the way, the three Alicorns cast powerful reformation spells. Twilight sat in the middle of a small circle while Luna and Celestia sat behind and in front of her. The cramped quarters of the train cabin meant the two elder Alicorns had to be on the chairs. Giving Twilight a completely unobstructed view of Luna’s teats.
She tried to ignore it, keeping her mind clear with mental exercises she was more than proficient in utilizing. All three of their minds had to be clear for the spell to work.
“You are not focused,” her mentor said behind her, causing her to jump.
“I’m sorry. It’s… it’s hard to concentrate with… certain things so close,” Twilight said and the gentle clop of hooves landing on wood in front of her drew her eyes to Luna. She was relaxed again, hooves on the bench. None of them were wearing regalia or metal of any sort as the metal would interfere with the spell.
“Perhaps we should remove distractions.” The suggestion was simple, worded more like a question than anything else. Twilight stared at Luna for a moment then looked back at her mentor. The eldest of the three alicorns present nodded.
“Would you like me to leave the cabin?” she asked teasingly. Luna answered first.
“Thou art just as much a distraction, dear sister.” Celestia would have spit out her drink had she been drinking anything. “Dost thou think I do not view her dreams as well as your own? Thine student fantasizes many a night about you. We should both appease her fantasies.”
The following two hours drew many a look from other train passengers walking by their cabin. No one bothered them. The train stopping at the Dragon Lands was their only indication that they needed to proceed. Celestia picked up the suitcase containing the monitoring equipment and the two Princesses departed the train. Celestia, for her part, had a rather rounded stomach. Luna was carrying the suitcase as she escorted her sister to meet their own escort. A dragon about twice Celestia’s size waited for them on the ground near the train station.
“Princesses. Dragon Lord Ember said you were coming for an experiment of a sort. Princess Twilight was supposed to be with you as well. Could she not make it?” he asked and Celestia just looked at her belly.
“She’s here. She is merely indisposed at the moment,” the elder princess said, shaking her hips slightly to make her belly sway. “I can release her if you’d like,” she said, and he looked at her for a moment. “I have all of her notes for the documentary.”
“If you have the notes, that should be enough. Let’s leave the area. I’m certain ponies wouldn’t take too kindly to what we are going to do,” he said, leading the two princesses from the platform. They followed him into the dragon lands, casting spells on themselves to increase their heat and lava resistance as they went. As they reached a more secluded place, the dragon stopped. “So… how shall we proceed?” the question was more directed at how they wanted the documentary to go. With Twilight Sparkle in her mentor’s womb, note taking would be slow.
“I shall be your temporary meal. My sister is quite adept at taking notes. I merely have to drink this to enhance my own resistances, and all shall be well,” Luna said, holding up a vial of pink liquid.
“Let me get this straight. You drink that… and I can eat you while your sister watches. Nothing will happen to the rest of my kind even after I add you to my ass,” the dragon said, and Luna stared at him.
“Not… exactly. The potion will keep us safe inside you. You won’t be able to digest me,”
“Are you completely sure about that Princess. Dragon stomachs are hardy places. We digest gemstones after all,” he said, sounding quite proud of something that was common knowledge.
“I am certain. Unless you are afraid.” Celestia looked at her sister and immediately knew what she was doing. Taking a couple of steps back, Celestia set up Twilight’s camera and quickly snapped the camera collar around Luna’s neck. The dragon looked at the smaller of the two ponies present out of one eye. “Perhaps you are afraid you cannot eat me. Perhaps you are afraid that I am too big a meal for you. Perhaps you are afraid that my sister will turn you to ashes should you try.”
Celestia looked at the dragon as he looked at her and raised her hooves. She would not intervene.
Luna continued her taunting. "Perhaps you are afraid it would mean war with Equestria. A war you could not win. Perhaps..." Luna was cut off as the large male’s head slammed into the ground where she stood, maw wide open. Celestia turned on both cameras and watched as the large dragon lifted his head, a chunk of dried molten rock tumbling from his lips. Tipping his head back, he gave a hearty swallow and Celestia watched on the monitor as the muscles in his throat worked Luna down the long chute. She wouldn’t narrate, not like Twilight or her friends would have. Celestia merely took detailed notes for Twilight to read later.
The small bulge that was Luna disappeared past the dragon’s collarbones and Celestia turned to the monitor to watch her sister’s progress. The throat was long, that much was certain, but when Luna entered the stomach, the vastness of it astounded them both. He was quite a bit larger than both of them. A glance at one of the screens showed Luna down the potion just off camera. The small vial that was thrown into the dragon’s magma like stomach acids was all the indication Celestia got that the potion was drunk.
Celestia, of course, was content to wait. Keeping her eyes on the screen to monitor her sisters progress, she wrote down a script for Twilight, trying to make it as professional as she could. She didn’t notice the movement behind her.
A roar was the only indication she got. Her horn lit and formed a bubble around herself. Not fast enough. The dragon’s maw clamped shut around her upper half, her forehooves simply dangling free as he lifted her up. A chomp. That’s all it would take. Immortal though she was, pain was still effective. Instead, he tipped his head back and swallowed. The camera on top of the monitors watched as she descended down his long throat to splash into his belly with her sister.
Unlike Luna, Celestia was unprotected by the potion, spells, or any other form of acid resistance. Luna was forced to watch as her sister’s coat and mane melted away in the powerful acids. She turned the camera away before just turning it off completely.
“So… we’re going to edit that out,” Twilight said, staring at the paused video. “Equestria doesn’t need to know that we can die.”
“Temporarily, Twilight. It didn’t hurt any worse than stubbing my hoof on the dresser,” Celestia said, her horn lit as her fur grew back. “It’s a shame about my mane and tail. Those will take some time to grow back. There is no spell for that. I am sorry I got you involved as well.”
“Still… for the sake of everypony, we’ll edit that out. Probably edit out the entire bit about you getting eaten. I can use Luna’s footage for the documentary.”
“You’re just jealous I got gobbled up by a big hunky dragon,” Celestia said, and Twilight blinked and looked at her mentor. She opened her mouth to protest only for the elder Princess to lift her up with her magic.
“You worry too much Twilight,” The younger princess didn’t even get a chance to argue as her teacher stuffed her into her maw and swallowed. A belch and contended sigh followed as Celestia rubbed her belly. “I’ll resurrect you later. It’s high time somepony taught you just how immortal Alicorns are.”

Twilight stood still as the only creature she could think to help with this experiment paced in front of her.
Queen Chrysalis had been freed from her stone prison for this moment alone and she seemed amicable to the idea. For the most part. The biggest issue was she wanted to be alone with Twilight when they did it. Twilight’s friends insisted they be with her incase Chrysalis tried something.
The deposed queen stopped in front of Twilight and looked at her. “Very well. I agree to your terms. On the condition that you are the one I get to eat,” the condition was agreeable. It had been the plan anyway. Twilight had the recording equipment set to monitor her progress. The enchanted quill she’d designed would get all of her thoughts onto a piece of parchment. At the end of it, the parchment would be teleported to Celestia. Should anything go wrong, Celestia will have teleported to Ponyville specifically to help Twilight’s friends save her from Chrysalis’ stomach.
Twilight turned and opened the door, letting her friends file in. None of them looked to happy to see Chrysalis, but they would stand around the edges of the room. They were there in case Chrysalis tried anything. Once they were in place, Twilight cast a spell that would prevent Chrysalis from leaving, either by hoof or by magic. Celestia could get in, anyone could really, but nopony was getting out until Twilight cast the spell again to remove the enchantment.
Once everypony and the recording equipment were in place, Twilight walked over and sat in front of Chrysalis. As discussed, Chrysalis wouldn’t be shape shifting. This was for Changelings. Not any of the creatures they could turn into. Twilight watched as Chrysalis merely stood up and stared at her. An odd popping sound came from Chrysalis’ jaw and Twilight watched as the former queen’s entire lower jaw split in half, elastic like flesh stretching between the two halves.
She didn’t get long to examine the flesh as Chrysalis stuffed Twilight’s head into her mouth and started swallowing. The flesh seemed to stretch around her and the split continued down Chrysalis’ throat as Twilight descended. Her friends watched in shock and some degree of disgust simply from the sounds as Chrysalis swallowed Twilight whole.
As Twilight’s rear hooves passed her maw, Chrysalis’ mouth reconnected. Each swallow sent Twilight deeper into the changeling’s body, her carapace seeming to reconnect as she passed. The other mares watched as Chrysalis’ green banded middle expanded as Twilight reached her stomach. The quill and scroll scrawled and wrote as Twilight descended, writing down everything Twilight observed.
Twilight’s friends watched as Chrysalis’ middle became near translucent. They could see Twilight perfectly, curled up in a tight ball in the changeling’s stomach. She was talking, the scroll dictating everything she said. Chrysalis belched and didn’t even bother to excuse herself as she looked for somewhere to sit. None of the chairs would hold her girth, especially with an entire other pony stewing in her stomach. Shrugging, she planted her ass on the floor.
A little smile spread across her face before it stretched into a grin. “You’re all mine now, Twilight Sparkle. You willingly fed yourself to the one creature in all of Equestria that wants to be rid of you once and for all. Now you are in my stomach, and I will personally enjoy feeling you melt away and add to my already perfect body.”
“Hey. You don’t get to keep her in there!” Rainbow snapped as she and her friends rounded their pillars.
“Yes, I know. I don’t get to feed on love anymore, so this is the best I’ve got. Let me fantasize you prismatic pest,” Chrysalis said, and Rainbow blinked. The scroll continued to scratch away as Twilight talked about what she was observing, and Chrysalis groaned as the Princess began crawling through her intestines. She looked at the other ponies and could almost guess what they were wondering. What exactly was happening in there?
Chrysalis seemed to be getting stronger at an alarming rate, but she wasn’t trying to fight them. She didn’t really look like she was enjoying having a whole pony crawl through her body. As Twilight neared the end of Chrysalis’ intestines, the Changeling monarch stood up and squeezed her eyes shut. The chitinous shell covering her rump split open, revealing a neon green sex nestled between a pair of plush cheeks. Between those cheeks rested a pucker which stretch open to reveal a purple mare surrounded by neon green flesh.
Twilight squeezed out of Chrysalis’ rump and hit the ground a little harder than she’d planned, but she managed to pull the rest of herself free as Chrysalis released a breath. The shell resealed over her rump and Chrysalis sighed. “Are you done? Can I go back to my banishment in stone now?”
“Not quite.”
Chrysalis blinked at Twilight’s response. What could she possibly have planned now?
One week passed and Chrysalis burped long and loud. She’d never been so full before. Ponies passed through her insides almost daily now. She wasn’t seen as a villain, nor was she required to share any of the love she received. The agreement was simple. Chrysalis would demonstrate the portion of her entry in the Bestiary at the school. Any willing volunteers, student or otherwise, would take a trip through the Changeling’s insides.
She had a home in Ponyville that she’d “decked out” to look similar to her hive. Her living room had a “throne”, her bedroom had a cocoon rather than a bed, and she even had a storage space for any love she collected from ponies during her classes. She even stood in during Rainbow Dash’s gym classes or Fluttershy’s animal car classes. Though she didn’t walk away without a couple bruises from the gym class. Rainbow used her as an example of how to escape from certain predators. Bears, wolves, malwurfs, tatzlwurms and the like.
Chrysalis would shape shift into these creatures and “attack” Rainbow Dash. Sometimes she’d get Dash into her stomach, which just resulted in very bad stomach aches and lots more bruises. Sometimes Dash would get the better of her and she’d be on her back in the middle of the gym with the prismatic mare standing over her. One way or another, she got plenty of attention.
Patting her stomach, she smirked down at the thrashing band of green in her middle. She’d purposefully made it not translucent for now, but now she wanted to see the pony. Her stomach became a translucent green and she stared at the prismatic pony in her stomach. Rainbow had visited her, alone, to discuss her next class. She wanted Chrysalis to turn into a giant frog. Chrysalis had a better idea. She turned into a giant frog alright. She then proceeded to immediately snap Rainbow into her maw and swallow her.
“Oh quit your belly aching. I’ll let you out in an hour or two.” Chrysalis smirked as that simply made Rainbow thrash harder. None of the ponies knew this… but most Changelings couldn’t digest meat. Emotions were the only things they could actually digest.
