Button Mash has had a long day. He gamed for a couple hours in his room after breakfast with his mother, then went out to get groceries and meet his friends. While they snack at Sugar cube corner, they talk about various things, like the wonderbolts and school, and cutie marks. Then, the conversation turns to dating, and Button grows uncomfortable/embarrassed as he hears how Snails got with Twist. He was the only one out of his friends to not have a marefriend, let alone have sex. Getting too frustrated and embarrassed by the conversation, he leaves and heads home, with his friends looking at him apologetically. As he does so, a unicorn mare watches him from an alleyway, her eyes shimmering green faintly before she disappears from sight. When he gets home, his mom sees that he's upset, and talks with him reassuring him that the right mare will come into his life at some point. He then spends the rest of the day blowing off his frustration by playing video games. He doubts he'll ever get a marefriend soon or have sex. He'd probably be a virgin forever. But that night, his luck changes for the better, as does his life.
