Fluttershy has been pining for Anon for some time now— but more and more, it all feels in vain for the poor mare. She's by no means giving up the fight, but a different approach is obviously in order, because this just isn't working.

But what's Shy to do? Where is she to go?

If anypony might know, surely her own mother, right?

She may not know it yet, but the pursuit of this simple question will lead the normally so-reclusive pegasus across Equestria itself in pursuit of the wisdom of her elders— the mothers who'd won the game of love long, long ago. The only issue, of course, is Fluttershy herself. Is she capable of such a journey? How far can her unrequited love extend— and is attraction even worth so much struggle?

This is a second-person story largely from the perspective of Fluttershy! I normally would just leave this for the reader to figure out on their own, but with so many stories of this manner typically revolving around Anon as the main character, I figure this is worth highlighting ahead of time.
