Not The Usual...View OnlineMy New Roomate!Not The Usual...The sun was high in the sky as I drove through the roads. Looking around I see the usual gas station, restaurant, stores, and maybe a few protests. I made it to the building and parked in the driveway and got my keys. For most of my life away from home I have been living the apartment life. While yes I have a good paying job and could afford a house, for one the complex is closer to my work place and living in an apartment feels different from the house life, and I like it. Up the stairs down the hall turn the corner across the fountain. I have gotten so used to the path to my home that it’s basically muscle memory at this point. After I got home I was greeted with the same thing, silence. I do want company in my home but the problem I always see is either people are too loud or too messy, I want someone who isn’t a nuisance but I can also keep company with. Put the coat on the couch, sit on the couch, turn on the TV. I normally see some boring news story like “Man robbed at store” or “protest formed at (this location)” because it is the usual things people would see here in the city. I was about to get some chips when the lights and TV turned off. Man, power is out again. I go to my bathroom to wash my hair from the long day of work, at least the water is still on! After washing my hair and drying it I got it in the style that I like but also doesn't get in my eyes. The lights went on again as I heard the news again. Then I noticed a noise, a noise I have never heard in this apartment, I heard the noise of something rummaging through the fridge and closing it and then a drinking noise. “What is that? An animal?” I said under my breath. I got out to see what was going on and went into the kitchen. Normally I would see the usual fridge, sink, oven, microwave, and big table. But this was something I didn’t expect to see, there was something sitting on a chair at the table. It was a small little…thing? I couldn’t really tell what it was. It looked like a light blue horse with wings with rainbow hair. I have never heard of a blue pegasus, and why do they have rainbow hair? Then I saw that it was drinking on my Dr. Peppers from my fridge, hey! That's my drink! The creature then opened their eyes and saw me and froze in an instant, they even stopped drinking the soda from the straw mid suck. We both just stared at each other, frozen, but yet thinking the same thing. The creature then moved the slightest bit and I pulled out my gun and pointed the pistol at it, shaking. This thing is gonna die! The pegasus then dropped the soda on the table and put both of their hoofs up with a scared and annoyed expression. “W-What the hay man!? I was just trying to drink the soda!” You froze. They just spoke, they spoke, not only that, they spoke full on American English. The thing just spoke your language! “What are you and what are you doing in my apartment?” I said the gun was still shaking in your hands and breathing heavily. “Chill out man I’m not going to hurt you!” “Says the creature that I have never seen before in my life and is a talking blue pegasus with rainbow hair!” “I can explain. Just put down the gun!” I slowly put down the gun and put it on the counter near the TV. The pegasus sighed and put their arms down. Still don’t trust this one… “Look, me and my friends were fighting a monster and he opened some portals and I fell in one of them and I appeared here. I don’t know how long it will take for my friends to make a portal to send me back, but for now I am here. Name’s Rainbow Dash.” She said while before taking another sip of the Dr. Pepper. What the? Monster? Portals? Rainbow Dash? My mind spun in circles as it all went to me too fast. I sat down at the other end of the table, still questioning whether to shoot the thing or not. “Well, that portal sent you into MY apartment! I never heard of you sort of creatures and now you are here drinking my soda from my fridge!” Rainbow Dash gave me another annoyed expression. “I’m a pony! I’m from Equestria, and judging by everything I know, I am in a different world. Also you weren’t drinking it so I was allowed to have it!” I sighed. This one I can tell will be pretty annoying to be with. At least she made SOME sense! “So I guess I’m with you until I go home.” My breath skips and I cough before questioning her. “What? Why pick me out all of the humans to live with? No! Every time I tried having a roommate they were either too loud or too messy!” “Well then it seems like I won’t be a good combo for you. Eh, I’m still living here.” I facepalm in anger then stand up. “If you are going to live here then you can’t break or cause mischief. I have work everyday and I can't get fired by trying to keep you calm here. When I go to work I don't want anything bad happening. If you are really from a different world then you can’t be seen with other humans alright?” I needed to establish some ground rules, if a pony from another world is living with me. “Aight, but you can’t tell me what to do alright? I can still do what I want.” “Fine… Name’s Marcus.” I said, holding out my hand. She puts her hoof in my hand and I felt a light coat of fur before I felt pain in my palm. After bringing my hand back she reveals a shock button on her hoof. “Gotcha!” I groaned in anger and put my face in my hands. My life is about to get a whole lot crazier…
Calm Before The StormView OnlineMy New Roomate!Calm Before The StormIt has only been a few minutes since I met this blue pony and I am already tired. She is flying around my room in the air, she might break something and she is also being loud while flying. Turns out that soda gave her a lot of energy and now she can’t stop! I try to grab her but she is just dodging my hands and egging me on. “H-Hey! Sto-. UGH! Can you stop flying around?” “What’s the big deal? I am allowed to fly and be as loud as I want.” “Do you want to be seen by other humans?” “Pft! What will they do?” “Oh I don’t know! Maybe lock you in a lab and test you?” With that she stopped and just stayed there floating in the air not moving. I couldn’t help but smirk at that knowing that I was right. “You are a pony from another world. They don’t exist here so either you will be tested on or killed.” Dash then slowly floated down and landed on the ground with an expression of fear in her eyes. Everything stopped when Dash’s stomach grumbled and she held her hoof on it. Aw crap… “Do you have anything to eat?” I just now realized that she will be emptying my fridge a lot. Most of my money will be used at the grocery store. “Yea. But what do you ponies eat? Are you a herbivore? Carnivore? Or something else?” “Don't use big word I don't know! Us ponies can eat meat and plants.” Omnivore then. “Well, I can make a hamburger for you.” With that she froze and she gave me a questionable expression. “You mean hayburger. Right?” “What? No, hamburger.” What the hell is a hayburger? *** Rainbow Dash stood at the table again waiting for the food to be ready while I was at the stove watching the patty cook in the pan. I got everything else for the burger, the lettuce, tomatoes, buns, pickles, and onions. I also started up the coffee maker since I was going to need a lot of energy to take care of this crazy pony. “Mhhhm! That smells good! I never smelt anything like that before.” In the corner of my eye I saw Dash leaning back in the chair with her hoofs behind her head with her back legs on the table. “Legs of the table Dash. Do you want what your hoofs touched being in the place where you keep food.” After saying that I smiled as I saw her then sat normally and stuck her tongue out at me. I got the burger ready and gave her a plate with the burger on it. She licked her lips as she smelled it and her stomach groaned even more. I then grabbed my coffee and sat down. As I sipped and felt the energy go into me I saw her take a bite, her pupils were already big but her pupils became the size of her giant eyes. What the fuck? “Uhh. You good?” “This. THIS IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER TASTED!” Her high pitched voice hurt my ears more than I expected. “Dash!” “Oh. Sorry. Hehe….” She blushed as she hid away her face. I got up and went to the couch and watched the TV as I saw her devouring the burger. After she was done I saw a flash of rainbow and next I knew she was lying on the couch with me. “Hehe. This world really does have good food. Yep, It was a good idea to stay in here.” I then zoned out at the TV at that statement. This will most likely be my life for a while now. If she is going to live with me for a while then it would be easier if we are friends. I then heard the doorknob move. “Pst! Hide!” I whispered to Dash and she hid in my room. I saw my friend James walk in. It was going to be easy to act normal since he was a good friend. “Eyy! Marcus, long time no see!” “Hey James! What are you doing here?” “Uhh. My girlfriend and I got into another argument and now I am kicked out for the day. So I have to sleep here for the rest of the day.” Fuck! This is bad! “W-Why don’t you get an apartment here? You don’t have to stay with me.” I tried to reason with him to not stay with me, I was sweating because if he stayed here it was going to be a hard time for.. obvious reasons… “Yea. I’ll go check at the front desk to see if there are any free rooms.” With that James was gone and was walking away. I went to my room and saw Dash sitting on the floor with the same Oh Crap expression as me. “You are NOT letting him stay here!” Dash said as she started flying to get up to eye level with me. “Hey hold on now! We don’t know if there is a free room, and I don’t want to just leave him with nowhere to stay for the night!” “Just tell him to go to another hotel or something! I don’t know!” Dash said while becoming angry and frantic trying to find a solution. “Dash. It’s tourist season! Most of the hotels are probably full.” “Well this is just GREAT!” She yelled before covering her mouth with her hoofs as she realized how loud that was. I then tried to calm her down and it seemed to work a bit but she had to hide again as James came back. I went to him trying to hide the sweat and nervous look on my face. “Eh. All full, going to have to stay here for the night. Don’t worry I am allowed to go back at 5:00 so you will probably wake up and I will be gone.” Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Why NOW? Why right when I got a huge responsibility now living here!?
One (VERY) Awkward NightView OnlineMy New Roomate!One (VERY) Awkward NightI just sat there at the kitchen table, my mind still racing about the whole thing. How will this night be able to work? What if Dash needs to use the bathroom or eat in the middle of the night? You see, the way my apartment is laid out, when you get in you are meeted with a pillar in the distance, to the left is the living room, and to the right is the kitchen. People need to go through the living room to the kitchen, and to the right of the living room is a small hallway, to the left is the bathroom, and forwards leads to my bedroom. So if Dash needs to eat or use the bathroom then she has to go past in the living room, and that will be hard since James will be sleeping on the couch. This is going to be the worst night of my life! “So like I said. I will be here until 5 am and I will just sleep on the couch to not disturb you.” Oh trust me James, you being here will disturb me, especially one of us… “A-Alright. Just get a lot of rest.” I admit, I said that because it will be way easier for Dash to get around if he is asleep the entire night. After he gets onto the couch with the blanket I check my watch and see it is already 8 PM. It’s time for bed, I go into my room and see my ‘New Responsibility’ floating above my bed with her arms crossed and an irritated look. “You can’t do this. What if I need to-” “If he goes to sleep quickly then you can use the bathroom or kitchen without him seeing you. And trust me, James is a deep sleeper so you can even fly around the apartment and he won’t see you.” She gave me a questioning look wondering if what I said was true. She then sighed and then sat on the floor next to my bed and curled up to what looks to be a sleeping position based on how many times I saw my childhood dog do the same pose before sleeping. I then went into my bed and put my warm and thick blanket above my tired self. Huh, maybe this night won’t be so bad after all. “Hey dude!” I hear and get up quickly, Dash then hides under the bed. “Yea?” “Can I use the shower?” “In the night? Besides, you always take forever! What if I need to go to the bathroom?” I really have a strong bladder and thus can hold it for hours but I don’t know if Dash has a strong bladder too… “But you have a strong bladder right?” Crap, what now? “Just wait until I’m done.” I couldn’t see it but I knew Dash’s face became angry after he said that. James then went out as he walked to the bathroom. I crouched down next to the bed and looked under it to see a very annoyed Dash. “Do… Do you have a strong bladder?” Her pupils grew and her ears flopped back. Don’t you tell me… She then slowly shook her head. AHHH FUCK! I could feel myself doing the biggest facepalm in the world. *** One thing I didn’t know I would be doing in my life would be sitting on the ground in front of a blue pony groaning and telling her to try to hold it. It felt like telling someone to hold the baby in, but just weirder. If James gets out of that bathroom, I will strangle him. I then see her holding her lower stomach and breathing heavily. Okay this DEFINITELY feels like a birth scenario, this is also VERY awkward. I then heard James finally get out of the bathroom and Dash then sighs in relief. I walk out and see James leave the apartment, that is the best thing to happen. You see, James likes to go out of the apartment and look at the night sky, and he usually does it for around 30 mins. “Coast it clear-” I couldn’t finish the sentence as Dash speeded by my vision very fast and slammed the door. I didn’t know if I was crazy but I swear I saw a rainbow trail as she flew by. I just stayed there outside the door to look out for anything then I saw the doorknob move and know that James is back. WHAT THE FUCK? WHY SO SHORT THIS TIME? I then realized if I stayed out of the bathroom then it would be weird to hear the toilet flushing in there. Ah fuck. I didn’t want to but I had to. I went into the bathroom, and closed the door. Dash spasmed and yelped as she blush VERY heavily and tried to cover her body with her wings. “DUDE! WHAT THE FU-” “Shh! James is back, and it would be weird if the flushing comes from here and we are both outside! I’ll look away but just calm down.” I looked to the wall but through the mirror to my side I saw Dash turned to the other side as her blush grew to her ENTIRE face! After what felt like an eternity we both got out and Dash hid behind me as we walked to my room. As I closed the door, Dash looked back at me with a death glare I have never seen in my life and now her entire head was BRIGHT RED! “Never…..NEVER SPEAK OF THIS AGAIN! GOT IT!?” She gave me a glare that just said, ‘do it again and I will end your bloodline’. I nodded my head fastly in fear, and a little blush appeared on my face too. “J-Justdon’ttalktomealrightIneedtocalmmybodydown!” She said faster than thought possible as she flew behind the bags in the corner to try and make no eye contact. I could still see the blush through the holes between the bags. I then just went to my bed and turned away from Dash’s direction in the blankets. It’s going to be VERY awkward to talk for the first time after this day…
Coming to TermsView OnlineMy New Roomate!Coming to TermsA sound from beyond made me come to the day. I cracked my eyes open and saw the light from the window, blinging me like always in the morning. The alarm on my side table was hurting my tired head. Press the button then get up, I put on my clothes for the day and get to the door. I check in the corner of my room and see Dash still hiding in the bags fast asleep. I went into the kitchen and got a pen and paper and wrote a note for Dash to read while I was gone. I put the note on the table and headed out the door and to my car and drove away while the sun slowly got higher in the sky. *** After a long day of work I went to my room the usual way and opened the door carefully. I then saw Dash hiding behind the couch. “You’re smart! You didn’t know it was me and went right to hiding!” I said as I got to the kitchen. “You hungry for lunch?” “Aww Yeah! Can I have one of those wheezemurgers again?” “You mean cheeseburgers?” “What I said!” of course Dash… Then something popped up in my mind, yesterday, really everything last night was not really what I expected. I looked at Dash with an expression that told her that I wanted to talk. Though I keep cooking the burger since she wouldn’t have been able to know-. “Look, I know you were trying not to get him suspicious, but WHAT THE HAY WAS THAT?” “D-Dash quiet down! I know I shouldn’t have done it bu-” “You could have told him that the noise was, I don’t know, someone ELSE’S ROOM!?” Dash argued and blushed again. I then just sat down at the other end of the table, I can’t argue with her so I just have to calm her down. This pony is going to be a hassle in my life… “I know, I know. But I was just doing something quickly, I didn’t know what to do and my mind just scrambled. I promise I won’t do it again, but just don’t make a big deal out of it.” “But it IS a big deal! You walked in the bathroom while I-” “Shush! Someone might hear you!” She then just sat down with her head down with a pouty face, silent and clearly wanting to stop the talk. I sigh and go back to the stove just as it was ready, I got the burger ready and as I was walking away to my room I placed the burger in front of Rainbow and just walked away without saying a word. I then go on my bed and look up at the roof, I take my phone out of my pocket and start texting James. Hey James, have you ever had to take care of someone who just caused chaos? Lmao, yea. I have a niece that I have to babysit a lot and she is walking destruction. Heh, kinda like a burden. It now seems like I have someone who causes chaos in my life now. Why? You live alone, so there is no burden for you… Well, I I just stopped mid text, Do I tell him? but he would call me crazy and if I prove it to him he will call someone. What should I do? I tilt my phone forward to look over it and I see Dash on the couch switching through the channels. What am I doing? I can’t just try to tell now, she is clearly going to be here for a while, maybe a year at least, I always did want company, but I didn’t trust anyone to live with me ever since… No, if I am going to live with her, then I need to break out of my shell, to help her. She didn’t just visit, she is stuck here… I then look back at my phone. I then delete my text message, and try something else. Yea but my mind is split, between my work life and my personal life. I want to have fun and go crazy but I also just want to be organized and ready for anything, I want to let go. You still haven’t let go of her still huh? Well, you know where I’m at if you need me bro. Ha! Thanks, I just… I kinda miss the company but also don’t want it. I understand, it was a scary experience. You don’t have to keep it all in… “Ay! What’s this show? It looks intense, it says ‘Hell’s Kitchen’? Huh, it did feel like it was like that sometimes.” Ah shit, I get up and go to the couch and look at the TV to see the cooks with the timer ticking down and the judges watching. I look back at the couch to see Dash laying on every inch of the cushion. “Uhh, Can you move? I want to sit.” “Nah man! This is my couch.” “H-how are you even doing that? You are small compared to a human so how?” “Just accept that- Hey! Woah!” She was trying to say before I pushed her to the side and sat on the other side of the couch. “Wha-Hey! No fair!” She pouted while crossing her arms. Petty, but also adorable. “Hm, I wanna go somewhere.” “Not happening.” I snap back. “Bu-What? I don’t want to be locked in here forever!” “But! You can’t be seen by humans.” She crossed her arms again and turned away before she got entranced into the show. “So, you like intense stuff?” “Yeah I do! Those things are AWESOME! Like the WonderBolts every time they go on tour!” “W-What?” Dash then groans and puts her head up looking at the roof. “You really need to know more about my world rather than this boring one.” “Alright, keep saying my world is boring then no more burgers.” I took out my phone again and I saw Dash freeze in the corner of my eye as I smirked. “N-No! I didn’t mean it! Pleaaaassseee don’t take those blessing awaaaaayyy!” I chuckle as Dash then calms down and the TV brings her in again. I go back on my phone and think of something. “Do you want me to get you something?” “Uh, Okay? But only get something cool!” I then go on the message app again while laughing. Typical boastful one. Hey James! Want to go to the carnival to get some prizes? Alright! I’m down! I then stand up and go to the door and look back at Dash who is just lying back fully on the couch again. “Thanks for keeping it warm!” “Ha, well just don’t get into trouble while I’m gone!” With that I walk out the door and head my way to the elevator.

I just wanted to try something new and tell what Dash did while Marcus was off to work in the last chapter.. Coming to Terms: Dash's Perspective I cracked open my tired eyes and heard the birds outside moving and chirping. I soon realize I am in a place I don’t know, I seem to be in some bags covered in them, I quickly riggle around and get up from the pile and look around to find myself in that one dude’s bedroom. So it wasn’t a dream, well that soda and burger thing was too good to be a dream. What was his name again? Marc or something like that? Anyway, I then went to the kitchen and saw no one there. I was confused before I saw a note on the table. Once I got close to it I could see the message. I went to work and I will be gone for a few hours. Don’t break anything or cause trouble! I then took the note and threw it to the side and went to the fridge. I then got another one of those good sodas that I had. “So, alone time for Dash then? This is going to be a long ‘few’ hours.” I sigh and go back on the couch and lay across it. I sigh in relief, these humans can make some comfy things, but not as comfy as the amazing clouds of course. I then freeze, there are clouds in this world, I wonder if I can lay on them, I look at the door wondering. Is what he said true? Will they really freak out if I go out there? I mean I don’t want to be alone in this small place until my friends get me…Wait, why haven’t they gotten to me at this point? Eh, don’t care about that. A black shape then appears in my vision and I pick it up and see a bunch of buttons, what is this? I then see a big button at the top and I push down on the mushy button and with a flash of a red light the big black box in front of me starts showing videos and making noises. “Ah! Shh, quiet!” I say to it frantically not knowing what to do. What is this? I thought he said magic didn’t exist in this world! I quickly began pressing random buttons until one of them stopped the noise but kept the videos playing. Phew, I lay back down on the couch while my heart still was beating fast. *** After a while of figuring out the weird black magic box and the magic black shape, I then turned the volume down and got to a channel that was called ‘nase car’ or something. I don’t know how these words are spelt, but it was very cool with cars racing each other at high speeds! “Come on, blue one! You can do it! Just a little more!” Around the track, past the pit, over the ramp, across the dirt, and soaring into the finish line! “YYYYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSS!!!! YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES!” “HEY NEIGHBOR! QUIET THE FUCK DOWN!” “Oh YOUR one to talk! You make noises every night!” “Don’t even get me started on you! You just leave everything outside you crazy bi-!” I stop my talking and muted the box again and listen to the argument, while also covering my ears. Sweet Celestia! How many curses do these humans know? I then hear someone loudly walking past my room, I quickly hide behind a couch but then go back up after hearing them go past me and into the other room. “YOU TWO! STOP BEING YOUR USUAL SELF FOR ONCE OR YOU WILL BE EVICTED YOU HEAR ME!?” With that, they all went silent as they walked back away from the noise that is now quiet enough to hear a pin drop. Okay…. What do I do now? I then slowly unmute the big boxand keep watching while not being too loud as the blue racer is interviewed. I then lay down and close my eyes, Either wait all this time or pass it by napping. But before I could go to sleep I felt my stomach demand some food, and that’s where I realized something, Oh no, I don’t know what things are here and I don’t know how to cook! I quickly fly over to the fridge and see mainly frozen stuff. Crap! I then look through the many cabinets and find a bag of chips in one of them, my eyes lit up faster than I thought. “Jackpot!” I whispered as I went back on the couch and watched the box while eating the chips and checking more of the different videos on this thing. *** After a few episodes of watching this ‘Dise knee’ I finished the bag of chips and placed it into the trash bag and holded my full stomach. Crap, I ate way more than needed. I then heard someone getting closer so I turned off the box and hid behind the couch, then I heard the door knob creek, OH FU- I quickly get a glance and stop and see…him again…. Huh, those hours went by fast!

Not far from my city is a big carnival and theme park, I always remember going to it as a kid! I park my car and then see James appear out of his. “So, why do you want to win some prizes?” Shit. “M-My neighbor has been very nice and i want to give them something.” “Alright! So where to go first?” *** The sun slowly sets as I watch it from the beach shoreline. Even though I had a good time there was something that felt off about it. “Hey! I got fries!” and James came back with some fries and we started to eat them faster than we could see. This view, this place. Dash, I wish she could come out and see this. But there is no option… or… is there? “I-It’s been a long day, I gotta go.” I say with a cold expression as I pick up the prize I got for her. Normally while driving my car I would just go without looking around, but this time everything seemed new. There was no protest, no robbing of stores, just a peaceful city. I look back at the prize, it was a giant lightning bolt pillow. I assumed she liked them because she had a tattoo of it. But why put a tattoo on your butt? As I opened the door I saw Dash wake up from a nap and look around. “Mhmaahdnahuh?” She said while getting up. I walked in and as I got to the couch I could feel something wash over me. Acceptance, I then looked back at all the memories of my failed roommates. Wait. Every single time it failed was because they were trying to help me.. They wanted me to go out and make new friends, but I was just… Cold…. I had always been an extrovert my life as a kid. But that one day….. Everything fell apart… “You love sleeping don’t you?” “W-What's going on?” “Haha, I told you I would get you a prize!” I said before giving her the pillow, her tired eyes sprung open as she grabbed it and started to snuggle around it. Thank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank youThank you!” “Alright jeez it’s just a pillow!” I could then feel my tired self demand my own pillow near me. As I walked to my room and went to bed there were only a few things I heard before dozing off. It may have been a sentence long but it felt like a paragraph. “You know, you humans aren’t so bad after all!” Classic Dash… *** It is the next day and I have a day off, but I never expected to be struggling to stop a drunk Dash from going outside my apartment. Oh right, I may need some context first…. I opened my eyes and woke up and went to the kitchen. And found a drunk Dash in the kitchen. No, No I am not keeping any secrets from you, that's all that happened! I woke up and saw a drunk Dash barely able to speak, I don’t even know myself. “Hehehehehey my man! Mould tu do me a mfavor and mamake me another one of zsose anamzing murgers?” “W-What? How the fuck did you get drunk?” “Oh I saw a tzzzrt….random mottle in the cridge! It tasted spour but over time I yegan feeling…. *burp* I-I forgert!” I facepalm again, This is going to be a long day… *** “Whazada Hay man! I’m just hrying to go and see the great soun!” I am now blocking the door and trying to get Dash to relax so she can sleep until sober. “D-Dash, just go to bed!” “B-But brut but but but! Its sunny out! No moon is out when day is out in world!” What the fuck? After a few minutes I managed to make her give up as she sat on the couch next to her pillow. Now she would have slept if she could stop giggling, yep, she was drunk alright. I then take away the bottle and put it in the trash. “He,hehe, he-Wait! W-Whaccah doin man!
