A man from a post-apocalyptic USA found himself on the bad end of a deal with the faerie court. He learned magic, did some things he wasn't proud of, and decided he wanted out.
His benefactors didn't take too kindly to that, and he found himself cursed into a pony, and, for reasons beyond his understanding, she got turned into a mare as well.

Now she finds herself as a fish outta water, having to come to grips with a world of ponies, and his weird gender feelings, while the local farmers adopt her into the family.

Worse still, her old home ain't done with him just yet, and both sides of a magical cold war between the Faerie Courts and the Human Feds have their sights trained on the fella.
Will she be able to protect his new family and home from both the fae and the humans, or will she finally lose the one thing he never had before?
