Rainbow Dash's WingsView OnlineDownfallRainbow Dash's WingsCredit goes to aisu-isme for the art It was a nice sunny afternoon. The sky was clear, there appeared to be no signs of rain anywhere, but that was soon about to change. A cyan blue pegasus flew high above the sky, she was assigned the job of bringing in the storm clouds. The farmers had been complaining that there hadn't been enough rain. Rainbow Dash rounded up every storm cloud she could find within the vicinity of Ponyville. It wasn't easy looking for so many storm clouds, but eventually she managed to get most of them in a cluster. Rainbow Dash gave the huge cluster of a cloud one kick, causing it to rain. She watched as water poured out of the black fluffy mass. Up to this day, Rainbow Dash still didn't understand how storm clouds work, but she didn't care. As long as they worked, Rainbow Dash was happy. The pegasus flew towards her mansion of a home. Ready to go to sleep. She had spent most of her waking hours working, now time to rest. She opened her huge cloud doors, her magenta eyes scanning the environment. It was the same old cloud mansion, nothing new. Rainbow Dash climbed the stairs and made her way towards her bedroom. She flung open the doors and entered her safe haven. She would usually keep her emotional side here, usually letting out her bottled emotions here instead of in front of her friends. Rainbow Dash climbed onto her bed and rested her head on the pillow, slowly dozing off. Rainbow Dash woke up again, her body was covered in sweat for no apparent reason, and she had this sudden feeling that something was about to go wrong. Very soon. The cloud curtains let only the slightest hint of sunlight into the room. She immediately leaped out the bed and went to the window, silently hoping that Derpy had not turned on the lightning feature of the storm clouds by accident. Rainbow Dash looked out the window, all was fine. The city was still under the rain which was good. But something still felt wrong, just to make sure, Rainbow Dash decided to head out to the city to check on the weather to make sure it was okay. Rainbow stretched and yawned for a while before walking down the stairs and eventually reaching her house doors. She gave the doors a slight push and they swung open. Rainbow Dash stared out at the city in the distance. It seemed so far away, may be it was because of her laziness? Rainbow Dash gave one last yawn before leaping into the air, she extended her wings so she could just glide there instead of having to fly there. She landed a few yards short of her target and walked the rest of the way. She didn't feel like flying anyways. Rainbow Dash walked into town, nopony was outside, sure it was raining but even when it was raining there would be at least four or five other ponies roaming the streets. Not this time. She continued walking as the rain continued pelting her body. Rainbow Dash glanced into the shops and saw that everypony was almost gone, this was even worse than the time Zecora came to town. They stayed absolutely out of sight. There was nopony peeking through the windows. Nothing. Rainbow walked past the library. She stopped and backed up. The library was dark, no source of light or movement which was quite the surprise since Twilight would practice her spells all the time. No matter what. Rainbow Dash stared into the window, confused by the lack of activity. She continued staring at it until Twilight Sparkle popped up from nowhere. She opened her window, but before she could say anything, Rainbow Dash interrupted her. "Where is everypony?" "Hiding from the weather!" "But it's just rain." "No there's also lightning." "Whadya mean lightning? I'm the best weather pony here! There couldn't be a mistake." Since Rainbow Dash had just woken up, she was rather grumpy and felt like she needed to prove to her friend that there was no error. To prove her point Rainbow Dash extended her wings high and began marching around. If there was lightning, she would've definitely been struck. "See? No lightning!" As soon as she finished her sentence, there was a blinding flash of light followed by a blood curdling scream of pain that would dominate Twilight's nightmares for years to come. In the light, Twilight could see the silhouette of a pegasus. Twilight raised her hoof to block her eyes as lightning came crashing down and struck the unfurled wings of Rainbow Dash. Her fur stood up as electricity filled the air. Once the light had died down, Twilight lowered her arm and saw what looked to be the result of the catastrophic incident. "No. Oh no oh no." Twilight ran forward, unsure of what happened to her friend. When she reached her however, she wished she hadn't. Rainbow Dash was lying motionless on the ground. Her whole body seemed fine except...... her wings. Where her wings were supposed to be were two steaming black bones poking out from her back. The joint connecting the wings to the back was still intact however. Blood poured out the massive wound and trickled to the floor. Twilight stared in horror at the sight she saw. Rainbow Dash woke up shortly after that, she didn't notice the destruction of her wings yet. She winced in pain and looked at Twilight. "What happened?" Twilight stood there, staring at the broken body parts of Rainbow Dash with a look of absolute horror. She pointed at the black bones formerly known as wings. Rainbow Dash looked back and saw the two black bones still steaming from earlier. She stared at the gruesome sight before looking at the hooves below her. She was standing in a puddle of her own blood. Nearby, the only remainder of her wings floated aimlessly. It was a cyan blue feather. Rainbow Dash grabbed the feather and clutched it, not daring to let go. She then proceeded to sob, her tears streamed down her cheeks and joined the rain. She shook uncontrollably as the thought of her never flying again haunted her.
Applejack's WormsView OnlineDownfallApplejack's WormsArt belongs to aisu-isme It wsa still pouring with rain. Applejack was outside her barn, making sure that her apple trees were healthy and growing. She watched as the rain continued falling down and seeping into the ground, ensuring the growth of her trees. Satisfied, Applejack went back into her home. Safe from the harsh elements of nature. She had heard not long ago about Rainbow Dash's condition, and she was not going to take any chances. Applejack had planned to stay inside until the rain stopped. She went inside and shook off the rain like a dog, then proceeded to go and spend some time with her sister. Applebloom. What Applejack didn't know was, that the rain had brought forth some unwelcome visitors. Out in the field, worms began to appear. They looked like regular worms, save for the magical green glowing aura they had. The worms made their way into the apples on the ground and the apples up the tree. Saving themselves from the cold rain. A couple of hours later, the rain had stopped and so did the lightning. She stepped out into the sunlight, the golden rays of warmth washed over her as she stepped out. The still wet ground squished under her hooves. She looked up and saw a rainbow high above the sky. This seemed to spark something in her memory. "Good god almighty! Ah gotta go check on Rainbow Dash!" She bit a random apple that was lying on the ground, she hadn't noticed the glowing green aura yet, she simply didn't have time to stop and check on it. She sped her way towards town. She ate the apple on her way there, chewing down the worm alongside the rest of the apple. Applejack charged into the hospital and skidded to a halt. She went to the counter and asked for Rainbow Dash's room number. The nurse gave her the four digits and Applejack was gone. She eventually came across Rainbow's room. 1999. She pushed open the door to see that her five friends were already there. Surrounding the injured pegasus. "Hi there everypony. Sorry ahm' a little late." "It's okay Applejack. As long as you come you don't have anything to apologize for." Applejack went to Rainbow's side. It truly was heart wrenching, Rainbow's wings were reduced to almost nothing but two pieces of bone sticking out her back. Applejack tried not to stare. "So, yah feelin' any better partner?" Rainbow Dash simply stared at her with a blank expression on her face. She had a empty kind of look in her eyes. Her magenta eyes staring at AJ, making her feel uncomfortable. She simply stared at AJ, not saying a word. She looked......hungry. "Ah think ah best be leaving. There's only so much Big Macintosh can do." Applejack left the group. She hadn't been very honest, but Rainbow was starting to creep her out. She rarely ever kept quiet. But her injury was pretty devastating, even Applejack would have trouble talking after something life changing like that. Applejack shrugged it off and went back to the fields and started bucking the apple trees again. Causing the apples to fall. It was no big deal, her hooves had gotten rock hard from kicking the trees. Halfway through her work, Applejack felt massive pain come from her stomach, suddenly she collapsed, losing all the feeling in her body. She screamed as the pain coursed through her body. She had no power over her body whatsoever. She simply lied still on the dirt, letting out the loudest scream her lungs could emit. Eventually the pain died down and Applejack could finally see clearly again. She managed to rise to her feet. When she did, Big Mac came crashing through the trees. He had a look of worry on his face. "Sis! You alright?" "I'm fine Big Macintosh. Just had a stomachache is all." "Maybe I should take over." "Naw, I'll be fine. Say, are you done already?" "Eeyup." Applejack sighed and got back to work. She was sure that what she just felt wasn't just a stomachache. It was much more. But she managed to ignore it until evening. Applejack had just finished up dinner with her family. Big Mac and Applebloom had offered to clean the dishes after dinner, much to the relief of Applejack. She needed some rest after what happened today. Applejack clambered up the stairs and opened her bedroom door. She locked it behind her and climbed in bed. Hoping for a night of rest. She closed her eyes and dozed off. In the middle of the night however, Applejack suddenly felt that familiar pain in her body. It was okay at first until it got intense. Applejack struggled to hold in her screams. This time around, Applejack felt something other than pain, she felt like there was something crawling in her skin. And it chilled her down to the bone. Eventually the pain stopped and Applejack managed to calm herself down. But it was difficult trying to get any sleep after that. The next morning Applejack woke up. She didn't exactly feel 100% percent. But she was determined to go on with her life. She wasn't going to let a mere ill keep her down. What she didn't know, was that this wasn't just any common cold. Applejack was fine for the next few hours. She didn't feel the pain at all, which was lucky. She could only imagine what would happen if she had her breakdown while she sold the apples. The stares she would get, priceless. But this was no joking matter, she could die if she didn't see a doctor soon. "Aw buck it. Ah don't need no doctor sticking his tools in me." Applejack stood up and instantly felt like falling flat on the floor. She propped herself against the wall and felt that same pain in he hooves. She raised the limbs up and saw shapes moving along right under her skin, burrowing through her flesh. She watched in horror as a worm ripped through her skin and popped it's head out. Blood trickled from where the Worm had spawned. Applejack watched, her face filled with terror as one by one the worms popped out of her. They were everywhere, from her tail to her head and even one of her eyes. Applejack screamed in pain. But nopony could hear her. Big Mac was in the fields, Applebloom was at school. It was no use, she was doomed. Applejack's screams eventually turned into sobs. It was too much, worms were still popping out of her as she cried. Her tears formed a puddle on the floor, a puddle that showed the reflection of the worm infected Applejack.
Fluttershy's NeedleView OnlineDownfallFluttershy's NeedleIt was a fine afternoon. The clouds had been cleared thanks to Pinkie. But the pink mare was nowhere to be seen. Applejack was also gone. She seemed to have vanished into thin air. After she visited Rainbow Dash nopony ever saw her again. Speaking of the cyan blue pegasus, she had been struck by lightning, and of all places it had to be her wings. Fluttershy wondered how devastated her friend must’ve been, forever not being able to fly again, to never be able to satisfy her need for speed, to never feel the wind beneath her wings. “Poor Rainbow, I hope nopony else get’s hurt.” Fluttershy said in her timid voice Fluttershy was outside her cottage tending to her animals. She was worried sick about her cyan blue friend but she had no choice. Her animals were hungry and they needed somepony to feed them. Fluttershy managed to feed all the animals. All except for one. Angel. The bunny refused to accept it’s lunch which consisted of a plain carrot. The pale yellow mare tried her best but it was no use, he refused to devour the vegetable. “Come on Angel, you have to eat your vegetables if you want to grow up big and-” The white bunny simply slapped the carrot out of Fluttershy’s hoof. The orange edible rolled across the floor, Fluttershy chased after it while Angel the bunny made good his escape. He hopped out the window and decided to climb one of the mountains. Why? Nopony really knows. Fluttershy managed to get the carrot from under the table. She turned around to face her beloved pet rabbit but he was gone. Fluttershy panicked and searched high and low for her pet bunny. She flipped every single one of the furniture in an attempt to try and find her pet. She gazed out the window for a second and caught sight of the white dot in the distance. It was nearing the top of the mountain. In terms of speed, Angel had the upperhand. But Fluttershy didn’t have to follow the ground. She could just fly over whatever obstacle that was thrown at her. As Fluttershy neared the huge mountain, she could see Angel nearing the top. Fluttershy eventually managed to arrive at the top of the mountain. When she reached the mountain top, she stood at the mouth of a large cave. Darkness coated it’s interior. Inside, she could hear the breathing of an animal. A very large animal. Fluttershy was reluctant to enter the cavern, but she went in anyways. Inside the cave, Fluttershy explored the newfound territory. Stalactites littered the ceiling. The sounds of the heavy breathing only got louder and louder as she ventured further and further into the cave. It was terrifying having to be in that cave all alone. To know that there could be danger at the very next corner. Fluttershy simply ignored the heavy breathing that echoed around the caves and forged on to save her bunny. Fluttershy walked around to the point that she could not see a single thing in front of her. She continued walking and bumped into something hard. It was hard as rock, but it was way too smooth to be a rock. Fluttershy backed up and saw as blue lines of flame blazed across the form. The fire lit up the cavern revealing a huge jet black dragon with blazing blue flames. Fluttershy backed up as the huge creature rose. He stared at Fluttershy with blue flames that blazed where his eyes should’ve been. The dragon stared right at Fluttershy and tilted it’s head sideways. Fluttershy remained still, with her fear holding her in place. She was terrified of dragons, but this one was scarier than the rest. It showed no emotion, it probably had no means of speech and was probably very mad. Fluttershy read no expression, his eyes simply crackled as the flames continued burning. Suddenly the dragon reached out a paw and plucked a stalactite from the ceiling. He used his other paw to grab Fluttershy from the ground. The poor yellow mare couldn’t move as fear took over her mind and rendered it useless. The huge reptile picked up the pegasus and put her against the wall. He managed to get her to unfurl her wings and expose them in all their glory. The dragon hefted the stalactite and aimed it at Fluttershy. The pale yellow mare stared at the black stone. The dragon reared back and thrusted. *Splat* Fluttershy opened her eyes and looked down, the stalactite now stuck through her body. She felt nothing but shock. She had always freaked out whenever there was even a drop of blood. Now there was blood gushing out of her like nopony’s business. Fluttershy felt something going up her throat, she held it in but failed miserably as a jet of blood flowed out of her mouth. Fluttershy watched as the dragon walked back to it’s dark spot and curled up to sleep. Fluttershy got over her shock and sobbed. Tears, no, not tears, blood welled up in the corners of her eyes and streamed down her cheek. Her sobs echoed throughout the dark cave.
Rarity's MirrorView OnlineDownfallRarity's MirrorCredit to Aisu-isme for the art Rarity was still in her boutique, the marshmallow mare had been working nonstop for the past few days. The only time that she had rested was when she went to visit Rainbow Dash after the horrific incident. The thought of her friend not being able to fly again was just so... surreal. Rainbow Dash spent more time airbourne than on the ground. Now that her wings are gone... Applejack hasn’t been seen lately, same applies to Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. They were fine just a few days ago. Now it seems as if they had fallen through the world. Never to be seen again. Maybe she would pay a visit to Fluttershy sometime soon. Rarity waved the thought aside. She continued working on her dress, lately she had been getting a lot of demands. Although this was good for her business, what good was it to her reputation if she couldn’t get them all done in time? Word gets around quite quickly here in Equestria. Rarity frantically worked on her dresses, the thought of failing her clients seemed to fuel her one, maybe it was because of hanging around Rainbow Dash too much. Either way, Rainbow Dash had managed to rub off some of her: ”Never say die” attitude onto her. Rarity took one more glance at the paper sketch of a dress, decorated in diamonds, rubies and various other jewels. She cursed, she only had a quarter of what was needed to make her masterpiece. She needed more jewellery, but she didn’t have time to go out and find some more. “Perhaps I could try and make my own.” Rarity said The unicorn lowered her horn and sure enough, a ball of blue light glowed on the tip of her horn. She aimed and fired at a mirror on a dressing table. The ball hit it’s target dead center. And nothing happened. The alabaster unicorn was puzzled, she walked over and stared into the mirror. Almost instantly, she felt pain shoot through her hind hooves. She glanced behind and saw diamond spikes forming, tearing through her flesh in skin, pertruding from her body. The diamonds slowly grew larger and larger in size and continued to slowly move up her body, up to the point where her stomach was nothing but a ball of diamonds. Poking out of her stomach and puncturing her intestines. Rarity made one last grab for the mirror. It dropped to the floor and shattered. The marshmallow mare stared into it anyways. She could slowly see bumps forming on her neck, then slowly they tore her skin apart, emerging from her body, covered in blood. Rarity slowly crumpled to the ground, the diamond spikes never ceased to grow. Eventually her head was the next target of the virus. Slowly spikes grew and tore her horn off. It fell to the floor with a thud. Rarity took one more look into the mirror, before her remaining skin and flesh practically exploded of her. Rarity was gone. In her place was a hideous, bloodstained form of a spiked mare made of diamonds. .
Twilight's MagicView OnlineDownfallTwilight's MagicPhoto belongs to Aisu Isme as always Twilight Sparkle paced back and forth across the library in utter frustration. Spike had retreated to the bedroom to spare himself any harm from the irritated unicorn. Lately most of her friends had gone missing save for Rainbow Dash who was still in the hospital undergoing magical treatment from the unicorns. But the rest, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack and Rarity were all missing. “What to do what to do?” Twilight paced across the library until she stopped in front of a mirror. She stared into it and tilted her head a little to the side. Her mind was already formulating a plan. Quickly, she encased a nearby book in her magical purple aura and floated the book in front of her, flipping it open. She placed a hoof on a certain page in particular. Twilight read the page. It said that a unicorn had to blast herself in the eyes and he or she would be able to see anywhere in equestria. Absolutely anywhere. Twilight thought about it, the spell was dangerous, too little magic and you’d get blinded, too much magic and you’d blast your face off. “Should I? Maybe I shouldn’t- Ugh! Forget about it. My friends could be in danger!” Twilight placed herself in front of the mirror and lowered her horn. She took deep breaths and charged up all the magic she could muster. She held it in as long as she could to build it up, then she blasted. Upstairs, Spike had fallen asleep. He was snoring ever so peacefully, until a loud crash and the shattering of glass came to his attention. He jumped up in fright and landed back into his bed. He climbed out from under his covers and ran towards the ladder. The purple dragon slid down the ladder and ran over to the lavender unicorn who had managed to drag herself over to a corner and bury her face in her forelegs where a puddle of blood was starting to form. Spike was hesitant to move any closer to the mare, but he mustered enough courage to step forwards and poke her on the shoulder. “T-Twilight, are you o-okay?” Spike stuttured Twilight turned around and looked at her assistant. Her eyes were nothing but two dark voids with blood practically gushing out of them. Her horn was dangling on her forehead, threatening to fall off any second, and to top it all off, blood was dripping out the sides of her mouth.
Pinkie Pie's BalloonsView OnlineDownfallPinkie Pie's BalloonsArt belongs to aisu-isme It was a warm sunny afternoon. But the clouds had blocked all sources of sunlight. Fluttershy couldn't do it after seeing her friend Rainbow Dash. Even though the clouds were now fluffy white, Fluttershy had absolutely refused to go up there. So, Pinkie Pie came up with a solution. The pink mare opened the bakery door and bounded out the bakery. She had a pack of balloons in her mouth and she was dragging a steel canister of helium behind her. It clinked and clunked on the stone floor of Ponyville. The ecstatic mare settled her equipment down in the middle of town and started inflating up the balloons. Soon enough there were about 30 balloons all tied to the pink mare. Sure enough she was hovering above the ground, then rising to the skies. She ushered a high pitched *Wheeeeee* and began clearing the clouds. They were hard to touch since she wasn't a pegasus but eventually she managed to shoo most of them away. "Wheee! That was fun! Now time to go back down. The pink mare twisted her body and tried to bite the strings off. But her plan failed miserably. As she twisted, the balloon strings tangled themselves in Pinkie's body. First her right leg was entwined in the strings, then she twisted again. A string entangled itself on Pinkie's neck. This didn't faze her, in fact it made her twist even more. She kept twisting and thrashing, then she stopped. She felt the strings tighten against her neck, she tried to thrash some more but it did no good. The strings cut off her breathing, slowly choking her. Pinkie tried her best to breath but it was useless, she was slowly being choked to death by the one thing that made her life worth living. Balloons. Pinkie's eyelids felt heavy. Dark spots danced around in her vision as she slowly lost consciousness. As her body slowly shut down, Pinkie closed her eyes. Forever. Gawwwsshhh sorry for not updating. And I have this half assed 300 word chapter to show for. I feel so bad. Don't worry, next chapter will be longer I promise. BTW I was listening to Plain White T's "Rhythm Of Love" while I wrote this. How ironic.
