Chapters Spacial Rend
Another explosion shook the space between dimensions, followed by a roar of pain. Midnight blue and dark pink clashed in the background fighting desperately for dominance. Shadows of two creatures could be seen constantly ramming into each other and occasionally firing blasts at each other.
They collided again and Palkia felt minor pain in his shoulder, he brought up his armored arm in an effort to claw his opponent’s eyes out. Unfortunately Dialga then chose to use Roar of Time at point blank. Palkia was thrown back a considerable distance and started to feel fatigue as the Roar took it’s effect by aging him. He shrugged it the age off with barely a thought.
Enough! Palkia bellowed, not using his mouth, since all that mouth could do was roar. You think that you could defeat,ME? Ruler of Space itself?! He took a deep breath in. I will show you what true power looks like!! Spacial Rend!!
The Pearls on his shoulders started to glow and with a mighty roar, sent all the power he had stored at Dialga. Dialga in return sent out another Roar of Time, this one more powerful than the last. The energy met in the middle and started to mix into colors of blue and pink.
No! Do you realize what have just done!? Palkia screamed.
It is you that is at fault Palkia! Dialga returned in a feminine voice.
You returned the blow just as I! The mix of energy in the middle of them then grew bigger and started pulling them in.
They both roared in frustration and flew at each other, their rage blinding each other at the problem at hand. Wrestling each other head-butting and grabbing each other just to get the upper hand as they flew through the portal that had opened up.
Palkia then saw blinding light and moved to block it with his claws only to feel intense pain as he felt his armor starting to melt. He had never felt anything so agonizing as anything in his life. And he had lived a very long time. His claws started to shrink into his arm. His body also started to shrink, resulting in his armor falling away to reveal light purple fur starting to grow. His head elongated a snout and his eyes grew and developed pupils as a long horn erupted from his head, along with long silver hair, along with a tail.
He was then thrown into something green and long and smelled deceptively of grass. He then saw darkness as another form landed on the back of his head.

Mumbling, mumbling woke Palkia followed by a poke in his side. He could tell his senses were already recovering when he heard it again.
“Are you alright?” A small voice questioned.
He peeked through one eye and saw two yellow legs. He then tried with both eyes and saw that this… thing was about to poke him again. He viciously swatted away the hoof and bolted up knocking off the other being that was on his back with a soft thump.
“You dare!?” It surprised him that he could talk using his mouth for a second but shook it off and took a step closer on unsteady legs“You dare touch the ruler of space, Palkia!?”
The yellow pony was shrinking away with tears in its eyes, no her eyes he could now see. He could also see that she had long pink hair and a pair of small wings, with three butterflies tattooed on her sides.
“I-I’m s-sorry…” She whimpered as she shrunk back into the surrounding grass.
“Pathetic equine, LEAVE MY PRESENCE!” and for extra effect he pointed one of his hooves out to the distance towards a small village he could see.
The Pegasus ran off in tears sobbing and sniffing. Palkia raised his nose and snorted. He then got a chance to look at his surroundings. Long green grass waved in the wind against a little too blue sky with not a cloud in sight. Other than a mountain and the village in the distance he could see nothing else of interest in front of him. He then turned around and saw what was on his back when he awoke. Another equine this time a midnight blue and no wings with a considerably lighter blue for the mane and tail. She then started to stir. He knew who she was: Dialga. She turned to look at him with an indifferent look in her eyes that quickly turned to hate.
“Palkia.”
“Dialga.”
“You look ridiculous.”
“As do you, inferior one.”
“What have you done to us?”
“It was not I, moronic one.”
“Petty insults do not become you Palkia.”
“If it were not so easy then maybe I would stop.” He snarled.
She glared and then slowly got up.
“It appears this body gets aggravated easily.” He observed.
“No you are normally this idiotic, Palkia.”
He raised an eyebrow at this. But instead focused on accessing his power. He searched for his core of Space energy only to find that it was locked to him. He looked back up to see Dialga was also trying to do so but she failed also. He felt energy within the horn on his head and accessed it seeing if he could understand it. This form of magic was fairly powerful but not enough to return to his own perfect form.
“What shall we do now?” He was about to answer when he was interrupted by a voice that was a little rough around the edges, but feminine he could tell.
“Hey!” He looked at the newcomer, no newcomers; the voice was only the first one to talk. He now saw a cyan blue Pegasus flying angrily towards him. She had a rainbow colored main and tail with fuchsia eyes and a cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt on her sides, one look and he could tell she wasn’t the brightest bulb of the group of equines coming towards him. She was followed by an orange pony with blond hair but this time with apples on her sides. After that a purple unicorn with stars, white unicorn with diamonds, and atrociously pink one with balloons and finally the yellow one.
She flew right up to his face and glared “Who do you think you are? Making Fluttershy cry like that!” She continued glaring at him. And then noticed Dialga standing behind him. “You with this monster of a pony?”
“No I am not, rainbow one. In fact I think I hate him more than you”
“Hmmph, I doubt that.” And she crossed her legs stubbornly.
The rest of the ponies then reached them.
“Hey Rainbow, you get a name outta him yet?” The orange one spoke first. She sounded… idiotic.
“No Applejack, I only just got here.” Rolling her eyes as she said it.
“So what is yer name stranger, and why in the hay would you make Fluttershy cry?” She glared at him.
“Palkia, pathetic pony. And this ‘Fluttershy’ that you speak of insulted me with her presence of weakness and concern.”
They were all shocked by his response. The purple one then came forward.
“Well, I’m sure this is just one big misunderstanding uh… Palkia.”
“What is there to understand?” He raised an eyebrow. “ She was trying to show kindness and kindness has never served any purpose than to corrupt beings with weakness.”
Dialga looked like she was enjoying the spectacle but quickly stepped in before they wasted any more time.
“Palkia, it unwise to upset the locals, for we do not know what power they possess.”
“You have no right to speak Dialga! I am the Ruler of Space and while you may rule time you are a bug compared to me!”
“Arrogance will get you nowhere Palkia, and it is unwise to call me a bug because we both know that I have beaten you a number of times before.”
He shot a glare of pure hatred. But Dialga continued. “What do you call yourselves equines? Unlike my companion over there I am more curious to know more about this new world than upset the locals.”
The six ponies were still in shock but the purple one stepped forward after a minute.
“My name is Twilight Sparkle, and this is Applejack,” pointing to the orange pony “Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy.” Pointing to the others respectively.
“I, am Dialga Ruler of Time and this,” gesturing to Palkia,” is Palkia Ruler of Space, however undeserving of that title.”
He shot Dialga another glare. But the pink one called Pinkie Pie spoke up.
She gasped. “That means we have to have DOUBLE the party for welcoming our new pony friends! With extra streamers, extra balloons, extra EVERYTHING!! Oh this is going to be the BEST. PARTY. EVER!!” She had an impossibly large smile on her face. Before zooming off to plan with her legs not even on the ground. Palkia glared.
“It seems I am not the only one that can alter space.” He grumbled.
“Ruler of Space? Ruler of Time? That’s impossible.” Twilight stated.
Dialga and him both raised an eyebrow at the same time. He stepped forward to Twilight Sparkle.
“The only reason you are still alive ignorant pony is because I do not have access to my power.” He threatened. Twilght only came to his chest but she was still looking him square in the eyes defiantly.
“Hey now lets not get ahead of ourselves, sugarcube.” Applejack had stepped between them and was busy pushing Twilght and Palkia apart, she was having more luck with the mare though.
“Perhaps we should meet with your ruler Twilight Sparkle, to get us where we need to be.” Dialga suggested.
“The sooner we get you home the better I guess.” She grumbled.
The other ponies started to walk away but Dialga stopped in front of Palkia and whispered in his ear “I will not have our chance of getting back our power ruined by your moronic ways, either behave yourself or I will make sure every single second of your existence here on this pastel colored world will be one of agony.”
“You may try, inferior one.”
"Hey are you two comin' or what?" Rainbow Dash yelled.
"Yes Rainbow one, though I do not take kindly to your attitude." Dialga answered.
"Yeah whatever..."
He then started walking after the rest on the ponies where Rainbow Dash started to fly behind him glaring at him. Twilight Sparkle then slowed down to walk by him and Dialga.
"So why do you claim to be the rulers of space and time?"
"Because we are."
"But it's almost impossible to affect time, I only just managed it and I'm the personal protege of Princess Celestia herself! Not to mention she could probably do much better than me..."
"This Princess Celestia sounds powerful perhaps we should meet her."
"Oh yes she's very powerful! She raises the sun every morning and is the ruler of all of Equestria." Twilight got an excited smile on her face and started to walk with more of a bounce.
"You admire this being?"
"Oh yes very much so!" She nodded vigorously.
"She sounds like just another bug for me to step on." He interrupted.
Twilight glared at him, and then thought for a moment."What were you before? You were obviously not ponies by the way you put down on us."
"We were called Pokemon, Legendary to be specific, my typing was Water, Dragon. And the inferior one's was Steel, Dragon."
"Umm... what?"
"Pokemon : creatures that are used for either battling, domestic, or research purposes, each breed had a special ability though not nearly as powerful as mine." Rainbow Dash perked up at the 'battling' part.
"So what about the types?"
"Each pokemon has a different type that defines what they can do. There are many different ones such as: Fire, Water, Electricity, Steel, Psychic, Dragon, and many more. It's ridiculous really what was Arceus thinking? He would have only needed me for I am the most powerful pokemon."
"Stop being ridiculous Palkia, we both know that he needs both of us to keep the order."
"There would be no need for you if he would strip you of your power and give it to me!"
"That's never going to happen Palkia!" Twilight opened her mouth to say something. "Not while I'm still alive."
"That will change soon enough!" He and Dialga were horn to horn now. Due to their new forms he was the stronger one physically and was slowly pushing her back.
"THAT'S ENOUGH!!" They both looked at the purple unicorn. Her horn was glowing and before he could do anything they were both surrounded by pink magic and thrown apart.
"You-" He was cut off by Twilight."No! No more, why do you guys fight like this? What is there to gain?"
"Power! Of course, the inferior one does not deserve being the ruler of time!"
"And what makes you think you can make that judgement, Palkia?" Twilight's gaze hardened. "Now if you two would calm down we're almost to Ponyville." She then started to continue walking followed by her four stunned friends.
"Ponyville? That's a rid-" He was silenced by a glare from Twilight. Why did I just let that moronic pony silence me?...Hmm she does seem to hold some authority over this group, either way I will have to punish her later for it.
"Now before we continue into town you have an apology to make Palkia." She stared at him and then gestured to Fluttershy. Who then hid behind Rarity when he looked at her. Dialga then shot him a look at said Do it or suffer dire consequences . He was unaffected of course but he then concluded that it was the best way to keep the ponies from refusing to help get his power back.
He slowly walked up to the shivering pegasus peeking over Rarity's back. Rarity also looked a bit worried as the tall pony about a head taller than her came closer.
"I apologize, Fluttershy , for my previous behavior." He said through gritted teeth.
"O-Oh it's... ok..." She hid lower behind Rarity.
Twilight looked happier than before. Perhaps there is hope for him yet. She thought. And then she made a grand gesture towards Ponyville. "Welcome to Ponyville! I would like to hear more about this pokemon world at the library, follow me"
"Twilight I have to go darling, I left have to finish the dress I was working on before Rainbow Dash dragged me out." She then started to walk into Ponyville leaving Fluttershy without a hiding place.
"As much fun as that sounds Twilight I have to leave too, still have some cloudbusting to do." Rainbow Dash said rubbing the back of her head for a second before dashing off, leaving a rainbow streak behind her.
"And I've got animals to tend to...." Fluttershy said as she slowly backed away into Ponyville.
"While Ah got some applebucking to finish," Applejack stated as she head off.
"Well it looks like it's just you guys and me!" Twilight said with a smile. He gave her an unamused look.
"Just take us to the library pathetic equine."
"Please ignore him if you already aren't Twilight Sparkle, though may I suggest we hurry?" Dialga added while shooting him a glare which he gladly returned.
"Of course, please follow me!" Twilight started trotting into town.
Palkia did his best to suppress a bellow of rage. When I get my power back... Ponyville will no longer exist. Palkia smiled at this his first smile in fact.
Ponyville was strange, Palkia concluded. It's buildings were so obscure that he could not imagine that they would last long in a natural disaster. He also found more than enough pastel colored equines than he could have possibly imagined. As he walked through the town he found himself hating it more and more, he'd prefer a desolate wasteland were the only thing you could see was the bones of his foes and ashes.
They finally arrived at a large tree with windows and a balcony on the upper half.
"This," Twilight said gesturing towards the tree,"is Ponyville library, and my home."
Palkia only snorted, while Dialga only rolled her eyes in return.
Twilight, taking that as a cue to continue inside opened the door and stepped aside to let them in. "Spike! Spike we have guests!" Palkia and Dialga both flattened their ears at the sudden outburst.
"OK, Twilight be down in a second!"
"Oh and bring me some parchment and quills!"
"OK!!"
He glared at Twilight "It would be unwise to do that again pathetic equine." He said with every word filled with venom.
Before Twilight could respond the being he could only assume was 'Spike' came running down the stairs with paper and quills. "Here ya go Twilight!" Spike had purple scales all over except the belly area with green spines on his back with big green slit eyes. Spike then noticed to two tall ponies standing next to Twilight.
"Whoa you're one big unicorn." He looked at Spike with and uninterested look and walked past him to inspect a bookcase.
He didn't do much reading, why would you read when you were this powerful?
"Pfft, rude much?" Spike grumbled.
"Spike, this is Dialga and Palkia they're going to answer some questions for me." Dialga looked at her. "Oh and then they're going to see the Princess."
"The Princess? Why?"
"To regain what is rightfully ours. And leave this insufferable world."
"Um.. ok!" Spike said still confused about the situation to say the least.
"Shall we get started?" Dialga finally spoke up.
"Of course! Just take a seat over there." pointing a hoof at a couch on the other side of the room. Dialga and him both moved to the area in question but decided to stay standing.
"Oookaaay then."
He then looked at his surroundings finally taking in every detail. A table with a bust of a unicorn sat in the middle of the first floor and along the walls bookshelves, and the right side of the room a staircase possibly leading up to a bedroom since the purple unicorn had also said she lived there. There were also a couple windows and another door but nothing else of interest to him.
Twilight then took up a peice of parchment, quill, and ink. She then noticed Spike still in the room.
"Spike perhaps you should go see it Rarity needs any help at the Carousel Boutique."
"Yeah sure!" Spike was quickly out the door.
"That of course was Spike, he's a baby dragon that also doubles as my assistant."
Dialga was about to speak when there was a knocking at the door.
"Oh, just give me a second." Twilight said as she started trotting towards the door.
She used her magic to open it and immediately her jaw dropped.
"P-Princess Celestia!? Princess Luna!?"
"Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student, it's nice it is to see you." A melodious voice said warmly.
"Tis good to see you as well, Twilight." A more regal voice then said.
Twilight stood there for a second before quickly moving aside to let them in. Palkia then narrowed his eyes as the two alicorn sisters walked into the library. The first was very tall white pony walked in, everything about her movements told him that this pony was in charge. With wings much larger than the tiny wings Rainbow Dash sported, from her head spouted long spiraled horn about four inches longer than his. A blazing sun tattooed her side though partially hidden by the long flowing mane consisting of green, blue, purple and pink. A small gold tiara with a small purple jewel adorned her head just above her horn. Her eyes were a pink and had a playful light to them. He could already he was not going to like this pony.
Followed by the white alicorn was a mare of midnight blue and black tiara, instead of a mane of different colors hers looked like they were made of the night sky itself. She was much smaller than her counterpart and had deep blue eyes though instead of a sun she had a crescent moon on a splash of black.
Twilight then walked to stand beside them and gestured towards the white one with a hoof,"Palkia, Dialga, this is Princess Celestia, Co-Ruler of Equestria, and my mentor."
"Pleased to meet you." He scrunched up his nose in response.
"And this," Twilight said now gesturing towards the dark blue alicorn," is Princess Luna, Co-Ruler of Equestra and raiser of the moon."
"Charmed." Princess Luna said in a slightly louder tone of voice. He gave her the same response as Celestia's.
Princess Luna's eyes narrowed and opened her mouth to object, when Princess Celestia rested a hoof on her sister's shoulder, Luna looked at her sister and back at Palkia for a moment before giving a small hrrmph.
"Princesses, these are Palkia, and Dialga, they actually wanted to speak with you!" Twilight beamed.
"Interesting names, may I ask where you are from?" Celestia inquired.
He stepped forward to the alicorn only coming the middle of her neck in height. He raised his chin and looked directly in her eyes. "I am a legendary Pokemon from many dimensions and I am the Ruler of Space itself! And I demand that I am returned to my former state, if you even have the power to do so, which I doubt."
Twilight and Luna looked apalled, Celestia raised an eyebrow, while Dialga just sighed.
"And where are you from?" She asked looking past him and resting her eyes on Dialga. He felt his anger rise once more.
"I am also a legendary Pokemon, and Ruler of Time."
"I will not be ignored by such a pathetic pony such as yourself! I am Palkia, if I had my power you would no longer exist! " He walked forwards so that he was nose to nose with the white alicorn, scowling. Which was then cut off as he felt magic envelope him and throw him against a bookshelf cracking it slightly. He fell to the floor ungraciously, he then got up to fight back but was then found paralyzed.
He could only move his eyes around and found that it was Luna's horn that was glowing.
"Luna, that was not necessary."
"Yes it was, Tia. He was threatening you." She said still focusing on me.
"And we both know that I can handle him on my own." Celestia said resting a hoof on her shoulder while chuckling a bit.
How dare she!? Luna relaxed, but had still not released him.
He tried to yell 'Release Me!' but it came out more along the lines of 'Mmmph hmph!'. He was still angry but he could see no point of charging at her again.
"Will you behave?" Celestia teased. He only narrowed his eyes in return."Luna you can undo your spell now."
Dialga who had a slight smile at fact that Palkia could no longer move or talk looked a little disappointed at this announcement. Luna's horn stopped glowing. And his previous momentum caused him to land on the floor face first. Twilight tried hide a giggle by turning it into a cough and covering her mouth with a hoof.
"Anyway, back to business. Twilight, Luna and I have felt a very powerful magical disturbance from the area around Ponyville and I'm guessing it was caused by these two." Celestia nodded towards Dialga and him. He had now gotten up but his nose was now sore, as was his pride, but was now rubbing it with his hoof.
"I'm not sure we are Princess." Dialga answered.
"How so?"
"I felt something that differed greatly from our power, something very old."
"And how is it that I did not feel this?" Palkia questioned.
"My power is more refined and more sensitive to different kinds of power, while yours is just brute strength."
"And this old power are you talking about...."
"Yes Palkia...Giratina."
"Now that is a name I thought I would never hear again."
The three other ponies noticed the change atmosphere around the two. Celestia was the first to speak up.
"Who is Giratina?"
"A very clever and malevolent ghost/dragon type, that we thought we destroyed a long long time ago. It was the only time Palkia and I worked together."
"Reminds me of Discord, sister."
"Would you mind telling us the story?"
"I'm sorry but we cannot, not yet. Not until I have confirmed it."
"I understand... instead how about we talk about your cutie marks?"
"Cutie marks? That's an even more ridiculous name than Ponyville!" He exclaimed.
"The mark you get when you discover your special talent, like how mine is the Sun for raising the sun every morning or how Twilght's represents her special talent as magic."
He then looked at where his supposed 'cutie mark' was. What was there was a teardrop shape with a circle in the middle and four stars inside. The largest six pointed star was grey almost white that nearly blended into his coat. The other three stars were five pointed and each a different color. One grey, another blue, and the last one pink. He saw no point in this insignificant mark.
He looked over at Dialga's. Hers was a green gear with little designs, behind it was what looked like a grey diamond shaped piece of steel.
"It is an interesting design, Palkia. What does it mean?"
"I do not know, though I suspect it is something to do with the fact that I am the Ruler of Space."
"And you Dialga?"
"It's a time gear with a peice of steel." She thought for a moment."I will not make assumptions yet though."
Celestia looked out the window to see that the sun was setting and sighed. "It's time to go Luna."
"Very well sister, farewell Twilight Sparkle."
"Yes well goodbye my faithful student."
Twilight opened the door for and them and the two Royal sisters took flight as they went outside. Palkia watched them for a couple minutes before they were barely specks against the orange sky. He slowly walked back inside.
"Well it looks like you two have nowhere to stay so your welcome to stay here."
"Very well." Dialga answered before he say anything.
Just then Spike came barging through the door, sweating."Sorry.... Twilight I...was..."
"It's alright Spike, in fact your just in time."
"I am?" he said finally regaining his breath.
"Yes I need you to get some pillows and blankets for our guests."
"They're staying w-with us?" Spike said as he looked at the two very tall unicorns.
"Yes, now remember to put them on opposite sides of the room."
"Ok, Twilight!" He then ran upstairs to the closet.
Once settled, Palkia found himself deep in thought unable to sleep. He was not used to it, for he had no need of it in his other form. But eventually he found himself closing his eyes submitting to the fatigue that manifested itself.

Gold armored hooves softly touched the grass beneath them, barely even disturbing the peace that had settled onto the field as night fell.
"Interesting form." It said looking itself over. "This will be oh so much fun."
The red eyed alicorn smiled wickedly in the moonlight glinting of it's gold helmet. The woodland creatures were then scared away as it started to laugh, not a normal evil laugh though. It was the laugh of an insane being filled with hate.
"Hellooooo, anypony home?" Palkia then felt something tap his horn several times. "Wake up! Wake up!" He was then bounced on several times the unknown pony's hooves digging into his ribs. He reluctantly opened his eyes. What he saw was a cyan blue pegasus named Rainbow Dash with an evil grin on her face.
"STOP, YOU PATHETIC EQUINE!" Bolting up as he yelled at her.
"Aww, is somepony gwumpy?"
"Rainbow Dash!" Twilight had appeared at the top of the stair with a disapproving look on her face.
"What?" She said shrugging her shoulders.
"He's still my guest and I will not stand for you being rude." She then started to look around on the bookshelves around the stairs.
"Augh! fine..." She groaned. "What a killjoy..."
"What was that?"
"Nothing!"
Twilight stared at her friend before going back to the shelves. Smiling slightly she finally pulled a dark green book from it's resting place with her magic.
"Here ya go Rainbow Dash, the newest book of Daring Do. Now could you please leave my guest alone?"
Rainbow Dash swooped down and grabbed the book before Twilight had a chance to levitate it higher to her airborne friend.
"Thanks Twilight, I've been waiting ages for it!"
"You've only just found out about it this morning." Twilight deadpanned.
"And your point is....?"
"Ugh, nevermind."
With a triumphant grin she zoomed out of an open window on the lower floor.
"Twilight Sparkle." Palkia said as he looked down at his rumbling belly.
"Yes? Oh oh right." Turning towards the door on the far end of the room and took a breath. "Spike! Spike is breakfast done yet?"
"Not yet Twilight!"
"Breakfast will be done in a moment." She said smiling. Turning back towards him.
Suddenly a figure groaned and lifted herself from the floor. "And I assumed Palkia was loud." Dialga grumbled.
"Ha ha... sorry about that." She said smiling sheepishly while rubbing the back of her head with a hoof.
"Just try not to do it again Twilght Sparkle."
"Oh you can just call me Twilight."
"Very well."
"I need to visit the place where I appeared." Palkia stated.
"Why?"
"I need to examine the area for spacial disturbances."
"And I for temporal."
"How are you planning to do that?"
"There are certain signs you can learn to see when an area has been disturbed by something spacial or temporal."
"Like what?"
He sighed in irritation. "Density of soil, dryness of grass, air toxicity, and other things."
"Fascinating." Twilight had now pulled out a paper and quill and was now taking notes.
"Perhaps we should write down what we know Twilight, if that would speed things along."
"Oh yes please!" She beamed.
"Very well. As soon as we learn how to use your world's magic." Twilight's face fell slightly.
"Oh."
Dialga was smiling slightly at the purple unicorn. He gave her a strange look, and when she saw him looking her face turned serious again.
"Breakfast is ready!" Spike called from the kitchen.
"Come on! Your going to love Spike's pancakes."

Palkia and Dialga both stared uncertainly at the pile of pancakes before them. Maple syrup and butter covered the first couple pancakes. He leaned over and sniffed them. They smelled... good. He closed his eyes and took in the aroma. Before tilting down to take a bite. Fluffy goodness complimented with the sweet taste of maple filled his mouth. He slowly began to chew but he was soon wolfing down the rest.
The other three beings at the table stared at him. Twilight giggled but stopped when he shot her a glare.
"Dude... that was awesome!" The little purple dragon exclaimed.
The pancakes had done something to him, he was sure of it. Even though was still hungry he pushed his chair back violently and stormed out of the kitchen and continued outside. Twilight and Spike looked confused. While Dialga looked thoughtful.
Stomping through Ponyville he threw up little clouds of dust as he walked and glaring at anypony who tried to say hi or talk. Eventually he lost himself in thought with the same questions running through his head, What were in those pancakes? How will I get my power back? And why is * Celestia** in charge? And why everything so colorful!?* At the last one he looked around at the multi-colored houses and grimaced in disgust.
The houses and shops then ended and he found himself on the outskirts with grassland continuing beyond.
"It seems that I have found where I wanted to go..."
He then started walking towards the place where Dialga and him had appeared.
"Hey!"
He groaned. "Not again..."
"Hey Palkia, where do you think your going?"
He turned to see Rainbow Dash hovering a few feet away with her hooves on her hips.
"I thought you were going to read."
"Yeah I was until I saw you heading to leave town."
"I was not aware I could not leave."
"Well, you can't be trusted!"
"So you only allow trustworthy equines to leave?"
"Well, no...."
"So only me?"
"Eeyup."
"Whatever." He turned to walk again. "I have important business, leave pathetic equine."
"Hey I'm not done!" She flew in front of him and planted her hooves on the ground and started pushing his chest with her front hooves. He continued walking as if nothing was happening.
"Urrgh.... you're... strong aren't ya?"
"Of course, I am the ruler of space, pathetic equine."
"Yeah...ugh...sure you are."
"You doubt my power?"
"Well... duh!"
"Enough." He then sent the rainbow colored pony sprawling to the side of him, he then saw he was were he came into this world. He then leaned down to examine the ground.
"Hey! That was- What are you doing?"
"Quiet."
"No, not until you tell me!"
He rolled his eyes and then turned to her. "I'm checking the area for disturbances in space."
She raised an eyebrow. But stayed silent.
He rubbed a hoof over the dirt. Observing how it fast it fell and how. He then sniffed the air and stiffened. Not good... not good at all. He then ran a hoof over the top of the grass making note of its reaction. He then put an ear to the ground and then look at it closely. He jumped back when he saw two gleaming red eyes and wicked teeth jump out at him. He reared back and when his hooves touched the ground to his surprise it started to crumble, and he started to be sucked into it.
"What the-" Rainbow Dash said but then grabbed his tail trying to pull him out. "Hold on!" She pumped her wings furiously but to no effect she too was soon being dragged down the hole. The ground underneath his back hooves eventually crumbled and they both fell into the darkness. The ground as if going back in time sealed back up, leaving it as if nothing had happened.

He fell for quite a while with something hanging on his tail, all was dark so he couldn't see where he was falling and when he stretched his hoof out he was met by extreme pain. After about a minute of falling he saw a gray surface coming up to meet him. He met it with a painful thump and then the thing hanging on to his tail hit his back. A rainbow tail came into view just above him with a groan.
He blew the the hair out his eyes and looked around. Walls rose up, twisted, and turned around him with grey fog between the spaces. His blood ran cold as he realized where he was.
"The Twisted Dimension..." He said hoarsely.
"What was that?" Rainbow Dash asked as she rolled off his back.
He slowly got into a sitting position. "The Twisted Dimension."
"And what's that?"
"I created it as a prison for a very evil pokemon."
"A prison? For who?"
"Giratina."
"I'm still not following you."
"Very well since we have no hope of getting out of here I'll might as well tell you."
"OK, wait what!?"
"We'll never get out of here as long as I'm in this state."
"But you said you created it! Why wouldn't you be able to get out!?"
"BECAUSE I HAVE NO POWER YOU PATHETIC EQUINE!!" She cringed at his outburst. "It is locked to me..."
Aww is somepony mad? A voice chuckled darkly.
"Show yourself Giratina! Face the ruler of space!"
Straight to the point as always Palkia, so boring. Fine. A dark shadow started to seep in from the ground. Slowly starting to form into a pony-like shape. Finally, standing about two feet taller that him was Giratina, not as his pokemon form but, as an alicorn. His general color scheme was grey, red, and gold. The gold mostly being his armor on his hooves, head and chest. His horn was slightly curved and black as night, barely visible in his current surroundings, his wings instead of normal alicorn wings like Celestia and Luna were almost like hands of shadow with red tips on the tentacles. His eyes were solid red and his hair a mixture of black and gold that floated much like Luna's and Celestia's.
"Miss me?" His right eye flickering between red and gold for a second.
"No."
Giratina's face feigned hurt. "But we're the best of friends."
"We were."
"And who the hay are you?" Rainbow asked as she flew face to face with him.
He chuckled again."Oh my apologies, miss...?"
"Rainbow Dash, fastest flier in all of Equestria!"
"Well I, my good mare am Giratina." He dramatically bowed and chuckled.
"You seem awfully nice for an evil pokemon, whatever that is."
"Oh have you been telling lies about me again Palkia?" He said turning to Palkia. "I'm just a simple being, dreaming simple things."
"SIMPLE!? TURNING THE ENTIRE WHOLE OF DIMENSIONS INTO YOUR TWISTED IMAGE IS SIMPLE!?"
Giratina pouted. "No need to shout. And no that's so... cliche." He then smiled wickedly. "I want to become the dimensions not simply rule over them. Oh oh and also time! My body would be the dimensions and my blood would be time." He sighed happily with a happy look in his solid red eyes.
"Your insane." Rainbow said bluntly.
"No no no! I'm not insane I've been enlightened!"
"How so?" Rainbow was still hovering by his face.
"Well then let me tell you!" His wing swung downwards and pushed Rainbow Dash towards the ground where she blew up a cloud of dust. "Hey!" She started to get back up but a black tentacle wrapped around her and Palkia.
"Now now class quiet down. We're about to start a history lesson!"
"Aaawwwwww...." He was surprised to see shadows of little fillies and colts in desks around them all groaning in disappointment.
"Well that's just a bit creepy..." She commented.
"Now before I was enlightened, a long time before all that human nonsense there was a school house as you might say..."

Three small pokemon were sitting by each other in a grassy field talking excitingly.
"Aww come on Gira just once?" A squeaky voice asked, the voice belonged to a miniture slightly pudgier version of Palkia.
"I said no Palk, and I meant it!" This voice was slighty deeper but his voice cracked, though this one belonged to Pokemon not much bigger than Palkia with a color scheme of black and red, not yet grown into the gold armor given to him by Arceus.
"Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaassssseee?" Palkia begged.
Dialga looked up from a stone tablet and looked at Palkia. "Will you stop being so dumb?"
He frowned. "But I just wanted to see it just one more time..." He looked at the ground and picked at a blade of grass.
"Ugh fine Palk, but just ONE more time." He laughed in excitement as Giratina shut his blue eyes and focused. There was a couple seconds before a bug that was buzzing nearby turned black with glowing blue eyes and flew eagerly to Giratina. Palkia laughed even more and Dialga just rolled her eyes.
"Aww come on Dia don't be a party pooper!" She fixed him with a glare.
"Don't call me Dia."
"But why?"
"Because that's not my name."
"Well I'll call you whatever I want because I'm going to be the ruler of space!" He giggled a bit after.
"Well I'm going to be the ruler of time and everyone knows that time is superior to space."
"Is not!"
"Is too!"
"Is not!"
"Is too!"
"Do you guys always have to fight?" Giratina asked quietly.
"I was about to say the same thing." A deep voice said behind them. The bug was released from power but stayed hovering near them.
All three pokemon gaped at Arceus standing behind them. But quickly smiled and all three tackled him in a hug.
"Daddy!"
"We were wondering were you were!"
Arceus smiled. "I was very busy little ones, now tell me why you two were fighting again." He set them down on the grass by his feet. The two children in trouble looked down.
"Dia started it..."
"Did not!"
"Did too!"
"Enough." Though quietly spoken the two stopped immediately. "Now explain."
"Dia said time was better than space!"
Arceus frowned. "Now Dialga and Palkia, Time and Space are equal no matter what, they are needed to be equal to maintain balance." He then looked at Giratina. "What were you doing earlier?"
"I discovered another power!" He responded excitedly.
"Can you show it to me?"
"Of course!" Giratina concentrated again and the same bug once again darkened and had glowing blue eyes.
"See! see! Isn't it cool Daddy!" Though Arceus looked anything but happy for a second before a smile came across his face.
"Yes, yes it is."

A bouncing pink pony moved towards the library with a huge grin on her face. When coming to the wooden door she stopped bouncing for a moment to knock and then resumed bouncing. It took a few moments for Spike to open the door.
"Oh hi Pinkie Pie! Come on in I'll go get Twilight."
"Okie Dokie Loki!" She said as she bounced in. And started looking through the various books on the shelves. She grabbed one on physics and randomly opened it to a random page. "Pfft, silly book." She put it back and was about to pull out a Daring Do novel when Twilight entered.
"Oh hey Pinkie Pie, what brings you here?"
"Oh I need to get Palkia and Dialga to Sugar Cube Corner!"
"Why?"
"For their welcome party silly!"
"Ah, well Dialga's here but Palkia isn't, he left just a little while ago in a hurry."
"Oh, okie doki loki!" She then started bouncing out of the library.
"Wait where are you going?"
"To find Palkia, of course!"
"Oh well let me come with you then!"
"Okie doki loki!"
"Spike, Pinkie and I will be right back!"
"OK, Twilight! Hey what about Dialga?"
"Oh, well maybe she wants to come too..." Twilight thought for a moment, "Hey Dialga!"
"No need to shout, Twilight I'm right here." Dialga said as she walked into the main room from the kitchen.
"Sorry, do you want to help us look for Palkia?"
"Yes, I will go with you. I feel something is very wrong..."
"Oh what is it?"
"I do not know."
"Oh, ok then. Well we better get going."
The two unicorns then walked out of the library followed by a bouncing pink earth pony, humming a song.

"Wh-What was that?" Rainbow Dash asked as a vision of some sort ended.
"Giratina was showing us the past."
"Well I knew that, but how? I thought he was just talking to us about it."
"Must be using a psychic power."
"If you two are done chatting I'd like to get back to my lesson, please." Giratina interrupted.
"No! Most of that didn't even make any sense! I mean who is this Arceus guy anyway?"
"Ah, well. Can anypony answer Rainbow's question?" He stared at the shadow ponies.
One of them raised their hoof. "You may explain."
"Well, Mr. Giratina, Arceus is the creator of the world and all the pokemon and beings in it." It said in a very young colt's voice that cracked slightly.
"Very good! Now anymore questions?"
"Yeah, can you get me out of here so I can kick your flank?"
Giratina's right eye flickered from red to gold again. "Very well."
"What?"
"I'll release you so you can kick my flank, what is there not to understand?"
Palkia and Rainbow Dash looked at each other. Then their bindings started to loosen and recede back into the gray ground. She was cautious when she started hovering and all the shadow ponies had their heads turned and looking at her in expectation. She then flew full speed at Giratina.
"No you pathetic equine, it's a trap!"
"Well duh, Palkia!" She suddenly swooped upwards and flew back down towards Palkia. She then scooped him up with her arms and started to fly away with him. The Shadow ponies then got up from their seats and started hissing and flying towards them like a swarm of bees.
"I'm too heavy equine! Leave me behind!"
"Never! I'm the element of loyalty!"
"What does that even mean!?"
"I'll explain later!" She was starting to sink in altitude and speed. Her wings pumping furiously as she tries to pull them up. The Shadow Ponies were almost upon them. Palkia then saw a hole filled with grey fog approaching.
"Down there!"
"Gotcha!"
The hole came closer and Rainbow Dash prepared to dive. The Shadow Ponies just seconds away. Rainbow Dash tucked in her wings and he tucked in his legs. As they went through the dark wing of Giratina covered the opening. Though they went right through it. Palkia felt something being ripped from his very being. He looked back before passing out from the pain and saw Giratina with a triumphant look in his eyes holding a giant pearl glowing in the darkness. And then everything went black.
A muffled voice combined with the shaking of his pony shoulder awoke Palkia. He couldn't make out the words but he could tell they were important. He opened his eyes slowly, his pink irises quickly adjusting to the gloom of the Twisted Dimension. Rainbow Dash had a relieved look and started talking again. This time he could actually make out the words.
"We need to keep moving, those...things are still out there, I saw a couple pass by." She was trying to sound confident, but her eyes told him that she was terrified.
"No need." Palkia croaked.
"W-Why?"
"Because Giratina already got what he wanted..." He looked down at his chest, he could still feel the pain though now it was a dull throb. He also felt hundreds of years of raw emotions come to greet him. He gritted his teeth and quelled them with much effort.
"What did he get?" Her voice almost a whisper.
"My power." He said looking into her eyes."I am no longer the Ruler of Space..."
"I-I'm sorry..."
"Don't be, Rainbow Dash," He put a hoof on her shoulder. "You tried your best but... it was bound to happen, Giratina planned this, down to the last letter." She thought about it for a second.
"You seem... different." The crestfallen look she had earlier turned to one of confusion, as she tilted her head.
"How so?" He removed his hoof from her shoulder.
"Well, first off you've never called me by name before, just 'pathetic equine'. And second... your voice, it doesn't seem like you're yelling all the time anymore..." She scratched the back of her head with a hoof, avoiding his gaze.
"Perhaps it is the effects of the Twisted Dimension, no ponies are supposed to be here I do not know the effects it will have on equines."
"Yeah, maybe." She looked at the winding walls and floors of the Dimension. "What are we gonna do now? You said so yourself that we can't escape."
"I don't know Dash, all we can do is keep moving, maybe there's an exit I don't know about..." He looked down in despair. And Dash looked at him oddly, before getting to his hooves shakily and looking around the cave they were in. "What happened after I blacked out?"
"Oh, well I sort of dropped you," she grinned sheepishly, "And those creepy shadow ponies sounded close so when I saw this cave I dragged you inside." He walked over to one of the walls but it was too dark to see any detail. He suddenly had an idea, he was a unicorn! He saw Twilight's horn light up earlier and if she could do it so could he. He closed his eyes and focused on his horn, willing it to glow.
"Uhh, what are you doing?" She hovered nearby, "You look constipated."
He shot a look quickly at the blunt comment, and refocused on his horn, and then began to explore for the store of magical energy he knew he had inside him. Rainbow Dash sighed in boredom after a few minutes, almost breaking his concentration before he felt something, he willed it to his horn and commanded it to glow. Soon a silver-pink light emitted from his horn and lit the surrounding area, but most importantly the wall of the cave. He laughed in triumph and started examining the wall. Something seemed off about it, the grooves and cuts were too perfect. He gasped in realization.
"What?" She stared at him questioningly.
"This cave...This cave was made by ponies ."
"Ok, you guys said that you needed to see the place where you first arrived, correct?" Twilight asked as she turned to Dialga.
"Yes." She responded calmly.
"And it would be a fair bet that he could be there now?"
"Yes, again."
"Well then what are we waiting for you silly fillies! Let's goooooooo...." Pinkie yelled as she zoomed off into the distance disturbing several blades of grass as she did so. Twilight let out an exasperated sigh and started to trot after the pink mare. Dialga however had a look of mild confusion on her face.
"How does she do that?" Dialga questioned.
"I've learned not to question it." After that statement Dialga also started walking her thoughts still on the overactive pony. Though she was interrupted by Twilight.
"So... Can you tell me more about this Giratina pokemon you mentioned?"
"Are you sure you want to know? It is not a happy tale."
"Yes." She said without hesitation.
"Very well, to begin I must tell about my father, Arceus creator of the known and unknown world." Twilight looked at her with disbelief but allowed her to continue," He was caring, happy, and very wise. He also had many children, but he only chose Palkia, Giratina, and I to help rule along side him."
"You mean..."
"Yes, Twilight Palkia and Giratina are my brothers. We had other brothers and sisters but we never got to see them. We all were destined for something greater than ourselves my father used to say. We never really understood what he meant, even now it is still a little confusing." She said with a chuckle." Though as we got older we grew apart, the fights Palkia and I would have got more and more violent, with Giratina desperately trying to stop us. Arceus could never intervene most of the time, and as we got more and more angry we got blinded and we couldn't see what we were doing to Giratina..."
"The energy that was leftover after every fight was absorbed into him... and eventually, he snapped." She felt tears come to her eyes but quickly dismissed them. " We were ready to accept our responsibilities for being Rulers of Space, Time, and Nothingness."
"Nothingness?"
"That's what we called the space between dimensions and time. It was like a virus and needed to be controlled or it would consume everything. Giratina hid his new found insanity well so he could gain his power, but before the day came... Arceus said we were not ready and left, without another word. We were devastated and angry. And when we found out Giratina had gained his... We stole it from our father and banished Giratina to the newly formed Twisted Dimension... He managed to escape a couple times and that's when we learned of his plans to actually become Space and Time."
"T-The Twisted Dimension?"
"A prison, and each time he escaped we only made it stronger."
"W-Why would you do that to your own brother?" Twilight asked quietly.
"We were angry, young, and rash..." Dialga hung her head low.
"How did you steal the power from Arceus?" Twilight asked cautiously.
"He made them into a pearl and a diamond so we could accept them into our beings easier and the fact that he didn't keep them under lock and key." Dialga stopped walking as a pink pony popped into existence. "We're here."
"Yeperoony!" Said the (once again) bouncing pony. Dialga stiffened as a familiar sensation came over her.
"Something is terribly wrong."
"What do you mean, made by ponies!?" Rainbow Dash yelled.
"There's no need to yell Dash."
"Well I wouldn't need to yell if you would tell me what the hay is going on!"
"Ponies were here Dash, they somehow made it to the Twisted Dimension and that means we may have a way back to Ponytown."
"Ponyville." Rainbow Dash corrected.
"Oh, sorry."
"S'alright." She waved a dismissive hoof. "So do we just follow this cave or what?"
"Yes, exactly." He turned to face the darkness behind him. "Now follow me!" Palkia said as he started to gallop off.
"Hey!" She then zoomed off towards him following the light of his horn. What is up with that pony!?
Rainbow Dash caught up to him quickly, though the walls of the pony-made cave were getting closer and closer and she was forced to run right behind Palkia. He could hear her groan of frustration as he slowed to a stop in front of a fork in the path that they traveled. He took gasping breaths of air while Rainbow Dash calmly leaned against the wall and waited for him to regain his breath. A headache was threatening to surface as he turned to talk to Rainbow Dash.
"It seems I've been weakened from having my power taken away." He stretched his limbs to prepare to run again. "But I will regain my strength... probably" He turned his attention to the fork in the path. And inspected each one carefully. They were the same in every way except for small carvings on the top of each entrance which came to around the middle of Palkia's horn causing him to bend his neck when he looked inside.
"So... What now?" Rainbow Dash asked, with a slight bit of impatience.
"I don't know any of your worlds symbols but of what I have seen of them these are very close to the ones you use." She looked at him and tried to take a closer look but she could without flying, which was currently unavailable due to the closeness of Palkia and the sides of the cave. She sighed and looked at him a bit irritated. "What?"
"Could you move? I need to fly up there and I can't if your fat flank is right there." He scowled.
"I'm not fat."
"Actually you sort of are." She said poking his cutie mark. She did a double take and continued staring at it.
"I am not fat! For your-" He stopped when he noticed the mare's gaze. "What are you staring at? Look I know I'm handsome but there's no need to stare."
"Wh- No!" She looked a bit annoyed and he laughed a little. "Your cutie mark I could have sworn you had three small stars not two." He turned his head to look and saw that she was correct, he furrowed his brow in thought.
"I think I know what those stars mean..."
"You mean you didn't know in the first place?" She tilted her head in confusion as she looked at him.
"Well, duh. I only just got turned into a pony yesterday." He slightly winced as he remembered the pain of the experience and rolled his eyes.
"Oh, right." She sat down. "So what do you think the stars mean?" She asked gesturing to his cutie mark again.
"Dialga, Giratina, and Me of course... except not so much me anymore..." He hung his head.
"So what does that big star mean?"
"My father Arceus." He said simply.
Her face shifted from confusion to curiosity. "Oh, I've been meaning to ask. What happened after that memory that Giratina showed us? And what was the deal with that bug going all shadow-y."
He lifted his head and looked her in the eyes."Perhaps I can tell you while we're trying to find a way out of here." He backed up so Rainbow Dash could hover and see the symbols.
She sighed. "Fine." She hovered for a second in front of the different set of symbols in front of each of the entrances. "Uhh, this one looks sorta like 'Private' or... cheese?" She said pointing to the tunnel on the right. She turned to the left and continued, "And that one looks like 'Home', either that or Sweetroll."
He chuckled and looked at her. "So what kind of writing is that anyway?"
"Um, it looks a lot like Griffin actually, thankfully a former friend was a griffin so I kind of know some of it. Partly because it's really close to Equestrian." She rubbed her chin with a hoof."But this looks sort of mixed."
"Huh, well I think our best bet is to go down the Cheese tunnel." She facehoofed. Palkia just gave a smile.
"I'm now sure that it says 'Home' not cheese." She noticed him smiling and rubbed the side of her head with a hoof. "You're getting weirder and weirder ya know that?"
"No I'm not. Now, onward! Down the Cheese tunnel!" He exclaimed before trotting down said tunnel.
"Hey wait! Can we slow down, I want to hear what happened after the memory." His moment of joy slipped as he remembered and he slowed to a walk.
"Fine." He began telling the story and carefully watched her facial expressions, the one that he most hated was the shock and disgust she showed as he told her how he had banished Giratina to the Twisted Dimension. She was silent afterwards and Palkia noticed that the sides of the tunnel were getting wider and taller as they continued. Eventually the pegasus was able to fly again.
"So how did Giratina escape the first couple times?" She finally spoke up.
"I don't know, but I'm guessing that he used this one time... he only escaped twice. Though Dialga and I took care of him separately.
"Huh." She was flying a little faster but never left the light coming from Palkia's horn. "So you mentioned you had other siblings."
"Yep"
"Do you mind telling me about them?"
"I actually have no idea what they're like, I've never met them."
"Really?"
"Nope." He said shaking his head.
Well that won't do now will it little brother? A high pitched giggle echoed through the tunnel. He immediately took up a defensive stance. Horn lowered and shining brightly.
"Who's there!?" He bellowed.
"ME!" A flash of bright pink light accompanied by confetti and streamers appeared in front of the unicorn and the pegasus. Blinding them temporarily. His eyes spun and he swayed a little before his sight slowly started to return. He looked over to Rainbow Dash to see that she was doing to same except that she had fallen out of the air. "Oops sorry about that! I always overpower the flash, I need to make a note about that..."
He looked up at what appeared before Rainbow Dash and him. It was a pony but it looked like a little filly, a light pink with a strikingly white mane and tail. She had a horn and wings he also noticed and she was wearing the biggest grin that he had ever seen on a pony. "Hiya little brother! I'm Mew!" Another set of confetti and streamers appeared but this time with a squee sound as Mew smiled even wider.
"Who?" Mew gasped dramatically.
"I'm just the best sister ever! Oh oh and also the oldest~" She said proudly.
"But I don't even know you." He deadpanned.
"And you're also a pony." Rainbow Dash added.
"Well aren't you two just a bunch of party poopers." She said with a pout, and then went back to her usual smile." Well I guess I do owe you an explanation."
"Yes, please." He looked into Mew's teal eyes as she took a deep breath.
"I'm usually not a pony but now that I think about it I really should be because look! Hooves, crazy right? They can even pick up stuff almost as easily as hands. But anyhow, I'm a pony because you, Dialga, and Giratina are. I just wanted to join the party! And you don't know me because Dad wouldn't let me see or talk to you! I have no idea why, he's just so serious sometimes. I should give him some Pop rocks, because Pop rocks always make people lighten up! An-"
"Wait, Arceus said you couldn't see me?"
"Yep!" She chirped.
"You remind me of Pinkie Pie..." Rainbow Dash mumbled. Palkia was deep in thought as he questioned why Arceus wouldn't let him see him or even how he had failed to mention Mew. He shook his head.
"Anyways we should really continue down the Cheese tunnel."
"Oh cheese tunnel? That gives me an idea!" She jumped in the air and their was another flash of bright pink light though significantly dimmer compared to the original one. "CHEESE! CHEESE FOR EVERYPONY!" She yelled as wheels and slices of cheese started appearing out of nowhere in particular. Rainbow Dash was nearly hurt as a particularly large cheese wheel appeared above her. She zoomed beneath Palkia's legs, being the biggest thing there and there was plenty of space underneath him. He quickly began to take hold of some of his magic and imagine it into a bubble around Rainbow Dash and him. He succeeded and a pinkish silver force field appeared around them. Mew was too busy dancing and giggling to notice their actions.
After a couple minutes the rain of cheddar stopped. He let go of the field and slumped to the ground, luckily Rainbow Dash had flown out of the way before he crushed her. He could feel a headache coming on.
"Never... Never do that again. We've wasted enough time already, we need to get back to Ponytown."
"Ponyville." Dash corrected.
"Ugh sorry. Why can't I remember that?"
"Oh oh! That's easy. You guys think of Ponyville really hard alright?"
He exchanged glances with Dash. "Oh just do it you silly ponies!"
"Alright, alright." He began focusing on the town, the details of the buildings and the library. He felt a rush of cold air and a pop, followed by nausea. He opened his eyes and found he was in the field where he was pulled into the Twisted Dimension, surrounded by three very surprised looking ponies. Twilight, Dialga, and... Pinkie Pie was it?
"See I told you it was easy!" He turned his head to find Mew on his back lounging. With Rainbow Dash also staring at her. He turned back to the other ponies.
"Uhh... hey." He said with an awkward smile.
"Where have you been?" Dialga was the first to speak up ,with a slight edge to her voice, after Palkia, Rainbow Dash, and Mew's appearance.
"The Twisted Dimension... we met Giratina." Palkia explained.
"Yeah though my other little bro isn't so nice!" Mew spoke up from Palkia's back, which she was currently lounging on.
Dialga's face turned from annoyed to worried and then to confusion as she located the source of the input about Giratina. She raised an eyebrow at the pink alicorn filly. But decided that Giratina was the top priority. "How did you escape, Palkia?"
"Mew."
"Who?" Twilight added.
"The pink filly on my back with the love of cheese." Palkia explained as he pointed a hoof over his shoulder at the filly snacking (not to Palkia's surprise) on a wheel of cheddar. "...And also our older sister." He added.
"But how? And why is she and alicorn? Was she a Pokemon as well? Why does she like cheese so much that she would eat an entire wheel of it in one go!?" Twilight frantically asked, Pinkie Pie stopped chatting about cheese with Mew and gave Twilight a worried look.
"I think she's overloading..." Palkia observed. "The stress and knowledge she's learned from the last few days must be getting to her. Pinkie Pie and Dash? Can you help her back to Ponytown? I have something to tell Dialga."
Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes at his mistake, but let it slide as she saluted and put a foreleg over Twilight's withers and led her away, pink pony in tow.
Palkia took a deep breath. "I-"
"You lost your power didn't you?" Dialga interrupted. She had put the pieces together out of what little information she had.
"How did you-"
"It's written all over your body language you baffoon and your attitude... it's like before." Dialga said tonelessly.
Palkia hung his head."Giratina got what he wanted... and he'll come after you next."
"I know."
A weight disappeared off his back, he turned his head to find Mew gone. But not without leaving behind a gift, speckles of cheese coated his back. But what happened next surprised him to this day. He felt forelegs wrap around his neck and a head rest under his chin. Dialga was hugging him, in the first time in he didn't even know how long, his sister was hugging him. He blinked in surprise and looked down at her.
"He'll probably succeed..." Came Dialga's muffled voice as Palkia raised his forelegs carefully.
"He probably will..." He calmly replied as he wrapped his forelegs around his sister. "But that doesn't mean we won't try our hardest to stop him! We won't let him destroy the universe... like he did Arceus."
"Your right Palk. We won't ." Dialga said as she looked up at him, a look of determination on her face. He chuckled.
"That face just looks too cute when you scrunch up your nose like that." He cracked a grin, and Dialga scowled. They both let go of each other and Palkia put a hoof to his mouth to stifle a chuckle at her new expression.
Dialga rolled her eyes and started walking back to Ponyville. "I'd forgotten you were so immature."
"Hey it's not my fault ponies are adorable!"
"So are you sure the Elements of Harmony will work on Giratina? He's not from this world." Palkia asked after he explained his side of the story and Twilight went over what the Elements of Harmony actually were . They were currently at Sugarcube Corner, in the middle of their welcome to Ponyville party in fact.
"Positive. Princess Celestia tells me Discord isn't from this world either and the Elements of Harmony worked on him." Twilight assured.
"Sound enough reasoning... So I'm guessing your plan is to draw him out using me?" Dialga asked.
"Well not exactly using you... I'd hate to-" Dialga held up a hoof.
"Twilight, I've already accepted to be bait. We'll lure him out with the bearers around or close by."
"What if he knows it's a trap?" Palkia interrupted.
"Well from what you told me Palkia is that Giratina didn't know Rainbow Dash, who is one of the Elements obviously."
"He could have been acting." Palkia pointed out.
"Well we'll just have to count on the fact that he wasn't." Twilight said.
"Well that still raises one question. Now I don't understand your society that well but won't it be a little odd for him to see 6 mares constantly following me around? He'll know something's up."
Twilight put her hoof to her chin in thought, "A camping trip!"
Dialga raised an eyebrow," Camping?"
"Yeah it won't be strange for all of us to go camping."
"But for how long?" Palkia asked.
"I'd say about a week."
"It could work..." Dialga said quietly.
"I'll just have to go over the plans with the Princesses and the other girls beforehoof." Twilight explained.
Palkia snorted, Beforehoof hehe... . He noticed the strange look from Twilight and cleared his throat. In his best serious voice he spoke."Of course." And he waved a hoof for her to continue.
"I'll talk to them right now, but I'll write to the Princesses tomorrow. Enjoy the party!" She exclaimed as she trotted away from the table to some unknown location. Dialga also left a couple seconds afterwards to the refreshments table. Palkia looked around nervously before spotting a familiar butterscotch pegasus and orange farmer. He remembered how insincere his apology was and trotted over to her.
They hadn't noticed him yet and he cleared his throat,"Um... Fluttershy?" He said cautiously.
Fluttershy eeped and spun around, eyes wide. "O-Oh h-hey Palkia..." Applejack affixed him with a glare.
"Look, I wanted to say I'm sorry," He raised a hoof when Fluttershy opened her mouth to object, "I wasn't sincere the last time so," He bowed low to the floor, "I'm sorry for treating you so harshly in the field, you were just trying to help. I hope you forgive me and that we could be friends."
Fluttershy blushed at the massive unicorn that was bowing to her. "But I've already forgiven you Palkia." She whispered, "And I would love to be your friend." She put on a small smile at the look of joy on his face when he got up.
"Thank you, Fluttershy." He said with merry grin as he trotted back to the party.
"Well that was odd." Applejack noted. "Jus' the other day he was meaner than a rattlesnake with a cold."
Fluttershy cocked her head in confusion, rattlesnakes weren't mean just misunderstood. And they were especially good spirited with a cold as well. She shook her head and continued her previous conversation about moles and beavers with Applejack.
Palkia stared in confusion at the snack table. Why weren't there any pancakes? Pancakes should be served everywhere and at anytime of day. He shook his head and levitated a cupcake off of a platter, it had his cutie mark on the white frosting. Though it was wrong, it still had his star on it. Though he couldn't blame Pinkie Pie he had just lost it today. He took a bite, it was almost as good as pancakes but not quite. It had too much frosting for his taste.
He shrugged and ate the rest of it, the rest of the platter in fact. He was about to lick some excess frosting on his nose when Rainbow Dash called his name. He turned and she was waving to him excitedly.
"Hey Palk, you up for a game of pin the tail on the pony?!" She yelled across the room over the chatter of the other ponies.
"Yeah sure!" He replied. He licked the frosting off his nose. A couple seconds later he felt something hot on his flank. He turned his head and all the blood rushed from his face at what he saw. Dialga's star was gone.
Palkia's face twisted up in rage as he stared at his altered cutie mark. Two stars, one Giratina's and the other's Arceus'.
Giratina's had grown somewhat larger. His forelegs shook with concealed rage and he turned his attention to the floor, like the key to solving his problems lie just beneath the floorboards. He let out a snort and surveyed the ongoing party, one part of him hoping it was a trick and that Dialga was still here and the other looking for a specific baby dragon.
Some of the party-goers noticed his unhappy expression and threw worried looks at him. After a couple moments of silently debating on which one would brave the possible storm, a caramel colored colt stumbled out of the crowd. He threw dirty looks at a shrugging grey pony. The pony sighed and reached up with a hoof to tap the massive unicorn's shoulder.
"Uh... hey Palkia, was it?" He started. " Something wrong?"
Palkia looked down to the colt, he still wore a fierce expression which made the pony flinch. He put on a softer look immediately. "Family troubles... that may concern the very world around you. But, do you know where to find the baby dragon Spike? I need to send a letter."
The pony was puzzled for a moment before shaking his head and regaining his bearings. "Spike? Last I saw him he was talking to Rarity." He answered. "Over there." He then pointed a hoof towards the pin the tail on the pony poster.
Palkia scanned the area around it and soon enough he saw the dragon he was after.
"Thank you... Uh, I must be going now!" He trotted away before he could give the other pony a chance to respond. He weaved his way around the other ponies saying "excuse me", "sorry", and the occasional "uh... I'll pay for that".
"Spike!" He bellowed out to the dragon, still talking to Rarity. Though, she was doing most of the talking while Spike just nodded and blushed at the unicorn. The dragon made no notice of Palkia, eyes glued to Rarity. "Spike this is urgent!" He yelled as he made his way through the remaining group of ponies. This group was playing pin the tail on the pony with passion. Most of the ponies would cheer loudly when the challenger would make it or close to the target, and groan when they missed. Palkia was incredibly confused by the ponies love of pin the tail on the pony.
With a groan he pushed himself out of the crowd and stumbled in front of Rarity and Spike. Rarity stepped back in shock and Spike seemed to be broken out of his trance.
"Oh my, oh... good afternoon, Palkia. Do you need something?" Rarity inquired.
He pointed a hoof at the dragon and said simply, "Spike."
"What do you need me for?"
Palkia didn't give him an answer, instead he scooped the dragon up and set him on his back.
"Hey I was talking to Rarity!" Spike whined.
"Do you have paper and a quill on you?" He asked as he made his way to a quieter part of the party.
"Yeah, always. What's this about?"
"I need to send a letter to Princess Celestia, it's an emergency."
The dragon's eyes widened and he reached behind his back with both hands and pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill. Palkia raised an eyebrow at where he got these things but quickly shook it off.
"Now, write this down and then inform the Elements of Harmony." He instructed Spike. Spike nodded and readied his quill. "Equestria is in-"
"Aren't you going to start with 'Dear Princess Celestia'?" Spike interrupted. Palkia gave him a quizzical look. "What? That's what Twilight always starts out with." Spike shrugged.
"Fine. Dear Princess Celestia, Your world and all others are in grave danger. Giratina has taken my sister and I's power away from us. The power of Time and Space. I request your help, my sister and I will be but normal ponies." Palkia struggled to keep his voice even at that last part, but continued." With this power he could destroy anything he wants at anytime. I know you will understand the gravity of this situation. Former Lord of Space, Palkia."
He looked back at Spike to make sure he got it all. Spike nodded with a grim look on his face and sent the letter off.
"Now, Spike, go warn the other Elements of Harmony. I'm going to find my sister." Spike saluted and ran off into the crowd of pastel horses. Palkia closed his eyes for a second before setting his sights on the door to the outside world. He set his jaw and took a deep breath. He reared up and kicked his forelegs with a snort.
Many of the ponies in the crowd saw this with widening eyes and quickly scooted out of the way. In a thundering gallop Palkia charged out of Sugarcube Corner with one destination in mind, the field where he appeared. His only clue... and the only weakened part of space he knew of.
