Chapters "Urrrg... What happened?" I stood up and first noticed that I had been on the ground, possibly from the crash.
Nothing at all. Unsure of what else to do, I ran across to some cartoony bushes and still couldn't find anyone. I darted in a random direction in search of aid.
" HELLO, CAN ANYONE HEAR ME?" I called. The trees around me responded with a breeze that almost seemed to taunt me.
Questions spun in my mind; curiosity that I couldn't ignore.
I spotted what looked like sandbags jumped behind them, and I stayed there. Curiosity still brimmed inside of me, so I peeked out from underneath and tried to see the newcomer...
Either way, I didn't want to scare her while she was mixing potions; who knew what could happen? I very quietly tried sneaking out the front door while she was distracted with her potions.
I ran through the front door and got the heck out of there. I didn't think as I charged.
Not sure whether I was still drunk or having a dream, either way, I was kinda excited.... But, I thought to myself, would the ponies feel the same? or would they see me as a threat?
That's when I figured. I came across Sweet Apple Acres; it sure was close to the Everfree Forest!
I picked an apple from a tree, sitting down. I scratched my head. What should I do?
I Panicked and, unsure of what to do, jumped into one of the branches, hiding in the foliage.
I planned on staying up there until they went away.
*Third Pony View*
"Well, jeez, Applejack, being bossy much!" Rainbow Dash challenged in an infuriated voice.
"Ah said it before, Rainbow, Applebuck Season is busy! I learned that ah need help!" Applejack retorted.
"Well, why did you ask me for help instead of one of our other friends?" Rainbow Dash whined, clearly annoyed at her auburn friend's choice.
"'Cause ah reckon you'll helping me with this! But the others are busy, so you're the only one ah can turn to!"
"Well, whatever; I can do better things right now!" Rainbow Dash countered, taking flight.
Applejack dragged the rainbow-maned pegasus from the air. "Better than helpin' yer friends? LIKE WHAT?!"
Rainbow Dash flew up again and thought. "Let me think... umm... napping... umm.... OK, so I got nothing!"
"That's mah point! You should work sometimes instead of jus' sleepin' on those clouds of yers, like us working ponies!"
Applejack grabbed Dash's tail with her mouth and yanked her to the ground again. Rainbow pouted at the earth pony's challenge.
"Hey, I can do hard labor too!" Rainbow Dash retorted.
Applejack rolled her eyes at Rainbow Dash. "Well, prove it partner! If ya buck these trees 'round here, I'll buck them in another direction. If ya don't slack off, ah'll know that you can do labor."
Rainbow Dash smirked, as did AJ. "Copy that, captain!"
As Applejack left, Rainbow Dash stuck her tongue out behind the earth pony's back and started bucking trees. "Pfft, that bossypants think she can tell me what to do!"
THUD!
Josh held on to his branch as Rainbow Dash kicked the tree, knocking its precious apples.
THUD!!
More apples flew out, and the branch shook more.
THUD!!!
Rainbow Dash bucked the tree where Josh was hiding, and the cause of the vibration knocked the remaining apples and Josh out of the tree!
"What in Equestria is THAT?!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed as she flew on top of the boy. He made a pained moaning sound.
"And it's still alive!" She exclaimed, soaring away to find Applejack.
*Josh’s Point of View*
"Ouch, my back!" I didn't seem to break anything, just being really bruised up. I tried getting up slowly.
"Applejack and Rainbow Dash?!" I asked myself. I was kinda excited at first, but also like they wanted to know something.
"You see, Applejack? I TOLD YOU SO!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed in an 'I told you so' tone.
"What in tarnation is THAT?" replied Applejack, who's confusion was evident. In a whisper, she added, "Check to see if it's alive!"
"I already told you: it's alive!" Rainbow Dash got on top of me and started jumping on my stomach.
To tell you the truth, It was annoying and painful!
"Come on; wake up! I know you can hear me!" exclaimed Rainbow Dash as she continued bouncing on me as if I were a raincloud.
That was the last straw. I decided to make my first move on them; it's what they got!
"HEY, GET OFF ME, WILL YA?!" I shouted in an annoyed voice, opening my eyes.
"GAHHH!" Dash exclaimed, getting off.
"Well, GOLLY, the darn thing can talk!" Applejack commented in shock, her eyes wider.
"Well, of course I can talk!" I retorted. Rainbow Dash looked at me with a confused look on her face.
"So, uhhh... What are you exactly?" she asked as she slowly flew towards me.
"Well...My name is Josh, and I'm... a human being "
Applejack looked at me with suspicion. "A human what now?"
"That's right; a human being!" I exclaimed to her as I tried to explain more.
And she shook it like crazy! Once stopped shaking my hand,Rainbow Dash flew and stopped in front of me. She gave me a handshake, but not nearly as rough as Applejack.
"'Sup, Josh? The name's Rainbow Dash, the best flier in all of Equestria!"
"Well, nice to meet you both," I responded. Maybe it was a good idea to talk to somepony after all.
"So, what should I do now?
Applejack and Rainbow Dash exchanged a glance and nodded.
" We should take you to her," Applejack cryptically stated.
"Where to?" I asked in confusion.
"Canterlot, sugarcube, so you can meet Princess Celestia, just to make it clear you don't mean anypony any harm."
"I'll take you then. I wanna ask you some questions along the way, 'kay?" Rainbow Dash affirmed in an excited voice.
"Pfft, the only thing she's good at is being bossy!"
I quickly defended the farm pony. "Well, maybe for you, but, anyway, how's your training and that?" She turned to me with a big smile.
"Oh, AWESOME! Thanks for asking, dude. I've been practicing ALOOOT to get the Wonderbolts' Attention!"
She smiled at me and I did the same thing. since the walk was getting really boring I kindly asked her, "So, uhhhh, how much further are we to the train station?"
"We're just about there."
I was relief that we were close by! When we got to the train station, a gray stallion with a handlebar moustache yelled out, "All aboard who's coming aboard!" He was dumbfounded when he spotted me.
When we hopped aboard the train, I took a seat and stared out the window. Is This really happening? How is this possible?
"This seat taken?"
As the train travelled, I stared out the now moving window, confused and, admittedly, a little scared. What happened to my best buddy, Jake? Either that or 'I still can't believe everything I'm seeing right now feels real.' I quickly became hungry and decided to search in my pockets if there was anything in there I could eat, as I stuck my right hand in my right pocket I felt a medium sized bag. I pulled it out and recognized the red packaging of Skittles.
HOW THE HECK DID IT GET HERE FROM MY WORLD?! Then I remembered: I got it from the vending machine at my dad's workshop, but again I really didn't wanna think about it right then.
"What's that you're eating?"
I regarded her with a smile and explained,"These are called Skittles. They're REALLY good!" She looked at the bag and, when she saw the Rainbow on it, she giggled a little.
"Mind if I have one?" she asked.
"Are you sure they're not poisonous?"
I smiled at her and responded, "I promise!" She took the Skittles in her mouth and started chewing them slowly before swallowing.
She started smiling when she finished her little snack she quickly give me a BIG smile and said. "This candy is AWESOME, can I have some more please?" She had this puppy dog face stare at me, even though I'd have given her more anyway,
She rolled her eye and replied, "FINE, but don't hog it all.". As she took some Skittles, I watched her eat, and smiled.... I don't know why but something about Rainbow Dash eating Skittles just made me wanna laugh.
"What's so funny?" asked Rainbow Dash with her eyebrows up after swallowing the candies.
Canterlot Castle stood out, being the hugest, most decorated. When we got off the train, a pink pony with curly hair and covered in pink greeted me and Dash.
"HEY THERE; WELCOME TO CANTERLOT!"
“WELCOME TO CANTERLOT!” yelled Pinkie, her face breaking into a huge grin.
Pinkie looked at me with a big smile and gave me a tight hug that almost killed me. “HEY THERE! What’s your name!” I wish I could answer you, but your hug is killing me!
“First, Pinkie, he’s a human! His name’s Josh, second I’m taking him to Princess Celestia so she can ask him questions. Can you bring the rest of the gang?”
As we left, I stared at Rainbow and commented, “She seemed harmless.”
As we came across the castle, my chest was filled with butterflies. I wondered: would the Princess like me? Or find me a threat? Rainbow noticed me all sweating a bit and casually bumped her hoof against my shoulder. “Dude, chill! She’s a nice princess! Of course she’ll like you!”
I just looked at the ground. “Dash...you don’t find me a threat, do you?”
When we opened the elegant door, I heard a huge gulp noise coming from my throat. Then I saw her… Princess Celestia! My knees knocked against each other, desperate for each other’s support. When her eyes reached me, her eyes narrowed. “COME HERE, HUMAN!”
“Um... I kinda had an accident and I just got here. That’s all I know..?” She gave me a confused look but then understood as I went. I didn't have time for a lot of questions and answers right then; it would be WAY easier if... Just then, I had a thought; if I asked the Princess to do it, I’d save the discomfort of an interrogation session and the Princess’ suspicion.
“Um… Princess? If it’s possible...can you use your magic to read my mind? So you know everything about me?” She gave me a stern look, as if she were deciding whether to do so. I tried to face her, but it was pretty hard. Then she gave me a small smile. “Will do, human. But be warned, this spell MIGHT leave you dizzy.”
I agreed to her knowledge with a nod and prepared myself for the spell. Her horn glowed in a golden aura that matched the color of the sun. At first it was ticklish… but then my teeth clenched together as the vertigo came. Emotions of all sorts ran through me.
After the spell was over, the princess had a frown on her face, probably knowing about my dad’s death…and mine, I guessed. She then looked at me with remorse and said, “I...didn't know about your sad past... and I’m very sorry of the great loss that brought you here.”
What Celestia had just said put me in a bad mood again. What she said reminded me of my dad… “Josh?” I noticed she said my name, but I assumed that the spell worked, so it was no surprise.
“It’s official then! We will settle you up with my faithful student, Twilight Sparkle. She can study humans, such as you, should this happen again.” I bounced up. I was going to meet Twilight for the very first time!
Her violet eyes reached her student. “No, Twilight, you're here just in time. I want you to meet our special, new friend.”
I shook her hoof and she replied my greeting. “Charmed! My name is Twilight Sparkle, and i’m GLAD to meet a new friend... and study unknown species! Like, what do you humans do for a living? What do you eat? Are you male or female?”
She took out her blank book, which I now saw was entitled The Human Species. With her magic gripping a quill, she wrote down the last question I answered.
“Yes! Yes, Oh my gosh! YESSSSS! This gonna be so FUN and interesting; thank you soo much, Princess!”
She then excused us, and we left.
As me and Twilight walked out of the castle, I noticed a purple hot air balloon at the train station. Excitement at riding it made me bubble! The last time I was in one of those it was with...my dad. As we hopped aboard the balloon took off.
When I heard those words, I knew I had somepony to count on, but sadness still poured over me. I smiled to Twilight, deciding to give her the benefit of the doubt, and said, “Thanks, Twi!” Just then, I realized I gave her a nickname, which was a bit of a shocker, in my opinion.
She couldn't help but smile as she giggled, “Don’t worry, Josh, I don't mind being called that!” She then hugged me to make her forgiveness clear. I was a bit uncomfortable, but she made me in a MUCH better mood now!Song that always cheered me up a bit; from a movie I used to watch with
It made me wish things were different for me... the clouds were putting me to sleep... I closed my eyes for a few seconds. When I opened them up, I saw Rainbow Dash, staring at me up close, and, to be honest, it scared the living hell outta me!
Dash chuckled. “Well, Josh, have fun with a BUNCH of questions when you get to ponyville!” Her voice had a teasing note.
Twilight looked at me with a bit of confusion and echoed, “Everyone? Don't you mean everypony?”GREAT! I forgot; now I have to say everypony! QUESTIONS?! Man, is this going to be fun...
When we arrived in Ponyville moments later, there was a large crowd near us, accompanied by a sea of bulging, multicolored eyes. I couldn't blame them: a creature they'd never seen before in their LIVES was strolling in. When we walked towards the stage, Dash turned to me with a smirk on her face. “Good luck, Josh... Break a leg! HAHA!”
Twilight noticed me shaking 'a little' and assured, “Don’t worry, Josh, you'll do just fine!”
I smiled and replied, “Thanks, Twi! I needed that!” When I had my moment, I saw the mayor in all her respect: a tannish color with her gray (albeit dyed) mane. She was confidently speaking to everypony at the microphone.
“And now... HERE he is... The HUMAN!!!" I slowly walked out on stage, accompanied by an ovation. I gave the mayor a handshake; she had been really cool about it. She smiled at me and said, “It’s been an honor meeting you here today...” I finished her sentence and replied “Mr. Josh, but just clal me Josh!” She smiled and spoke up to everypony again. “EVERYPONY, listen up! This here is Josh, and he will be taking your questions!”
Oh God...Why me?!
I moved myself closer to the microphone, and saw that everypony was staring at me. There was not one accusing face in the audience; only surprise and a few muttering ponies.
damn?!
I turned to Twilight and I saw her getting her book ready for note taking, her horn glowing in its normal purple aura to hold her pencil in place. I noticed Pinkie jumping up and down, raising her hoof, from the last row. “PICK ME! PICK ME! PICK ME!”
I then answered her with a simple yes; no need to tell them about that. She bounced up and down with happiness, and something told me she was gonna throw me a welcome party later, which made my mood soar.
Great, now you have to explain to her why humans wear clothes for a REASON?!
Some of them were confused, but it only took them a few seconds to realize the meaning on it. Bon-Bon was blushing madly while couple mares around her were giggling. And, to be honest, I was blushing too; embarrassing!
SHIT! If ponies found out that humans eat meat, it’s gonna cause a panic!
Why would she ask me that? I figured: it was important for them to know about the human life span. “Well, Dash, to tell you the truth, I’m 16 years old! I’m still in my teen years until the age 18, which is adult years! Most humans live to be around their 70’s or 80’s; depends on the person, really.”
I then notice that the audience had no questions. Thank God!
“FRIEND!”
Half of them, myself included, turned to Lyra, whom was blushing to be as red as a raspberry, along with me. “Thank you ALL! And Lyra!” She was concerned that, I now realized, I'd let it loose that I knew her name! Oh crud!
Just then, Pinkie yelled out to the audience, “Welcome to Ponyville party, AT MY PLACE!” Then everypony cheered with their excitement; I felt the same, frankly.
“OH, and LYRA!” She looked up at me, her brown eyes wide. ”Thanks for the compliment... I think you're cute, too.” She then blushed like red berries and fainted.
Wow! who knew a simple compliment can make a mare all sappy?
When I got off the stage, I noticed Dash and Twilight giving me a weird look. Dash spoke up.
Twilight then cut in and said, "The point is that Josh did very well with the others!”
I then smiled at her. “Thanks, Twi!”
Dash stopped laughing and replied, “OH... well, can't argue with that.” After that, we headed over to Twilight’s house.
“OH; tonight! Don’t worry; you don't have to wear anything fancy, just be yourself!” While we entered Twilight's house, it was like in the show... BOOKS! Dash punched me on the shoulder, and I saw her with a smirk.
"Gotta go,Josh! But I'll see ya at Sugarcube Corner!" She extended her hoof to me and I bumped my fisted hand against it. My first brohoof!
After a further analysis, I confirmed her theory: I did stink!
This was my new life!
When I finished my shower, I got dressed and headed for the stairs. I then noticed Spike at the end of the hall, counting Twilight's books. I’d totally forgotten to introduce myself to him!
When he turned around he saw me, he was, at least, shocked to see me. Twilight came in JUST in time. Before Spike panicked, she grabbed hold of Spike with a deft levitation spell.
“H-Hi; name’s Spike.”
As I gave him a fist-bump, he no longer feared me, which made me glad. Just before I was going to ask something so we could bond, Twilight ended up intervening. “It’s good you two are getting along, but we have to hurry for the welcome party.” She was right. She grabbed her book with her magic... the one for humans, I realized...
“I’m bringing it to study how you socialize with other ponies at the party,” she replied matter-of-factly.
As we headed off to Sugarcube corner, I asked Twilight, “Umm, you don’t mind being called ‘that…’ right?”
She might have a point! When Pinkie’s was in sight, I almost forgot… it was a SURPRISE party! So I'll pretend not to see it coming. When we approached the door to Sugarcube Corner, I opened the door slowly to see that the room was completely dark.Uh-Oh. This can only mean... Yep; just what I thought.
Everypony showed up to the party. Obviously Twilight’s friends are there to, including Dash! Pinkie trotted towards me with a big smile. “SO, what do you think? Do you like it? Isn't this fun?”
Pinkie beamed more explicitly and hugged me very tightly. “I KNOW YOU WOULD LOVE IT!” I tried to tell Pinkie to let me go… cause she was killing me... literally!
Great, I have a nickname all of a sudden!
Dash couldn't help but laugh as she replied, “HAHA! Guess you got a nickname now!” I didn't mind it a bit. I find it kind of cute...NOT that kind of cute! But cute. I glanced over and saw punch at the table, and took some. When I tried it, it was AWESOME!
As I had a few punch cups, I noticed Lyra next to me. She noticed me as well. “Hey, you! Thanks for calling me... cute” I noticed her blushing ‘a bit.’
I can see that somepony has a crush on me already...I’m flattered, but I’m just not ready to have a relationship...with a pony, But I guess I have to get used to it, I’m the ONLY human here. I’m like an endangered species in a way! I guess I have no choice then.
I still notice Lyra waiting for me to say something. “So, uhhh, Lyra, what do you do around here in Ponyville?”
“You like music too; that’s great!” I noticed her avoiding eye contact with me, trying so hard not to blush that it was adorable… ish.
She then came to face me again. “Well, uh, enough about me… What about you?”
BOOM! There went the happy bomb!
What Lyra had said made me feel that my dad is still there with me... in spirit, watching over me ... knowing that I was safe. But, before we continued the conversation, Dash barged in. “’Sup, you two?” She’s a little like a best friend to me.
“I’ll talk to you later, Lyra.”
Lyra hid behind her blush as she left me and dash at the punch bowl. I turned to Dash, who was giving me a serious look. “WHAT?” I asked in confusion.
She sighed and said to me with a smile, “You just can't get enough of her, can you?”
“I’m telling you, Lyra and I are JUST friends; it’s just flirting!”
“Suure you are!!” Dash rolled her eyes to accompany the thick sarcasm in her tone.
“I can do it to anyone… I mean everypony! including you!”
Dash gave me an angry look. “DON’T…YOU…EVEN...DARE!”
I gave her an evil smirk and replied, “Watch me!” After what I said, I came up with a bunch of compliments; perfect for wooing a mare. And I know just what to say to her.
“Hey, Dash, do you know that you're the most awesome pegasus in the whole world?”
Dash smirked a bit and replied, “Well, I am awesome… now cut it out!”
I gave her an evil laugh and retorted, “OH no... I’m just getting started!” After that, I thought of ALL the nice things to say to Dash.
Dash begun to blush, and tried to hide it. “STOP IT!”
I smiled and kept going.
“Your eyes are pretty!!”
“I MEAN IT!!” shouted Dash with an angry, blushing face. I stopped for a few seconds, and she sighed and thought it was over... but then I said one quick thing..
“You’re hot as well!”
She punched me hard in the shoulder, which hurt like HELL!!
“OWWW!!”
Dash gave me a smile and said “HAH, that’s what you get for flirting with me!”
“Ha, ha, very FUNNY.” said an angry Rainbow Dash.
“You should’ve seem the look on your face! You were blushing like a tomato!”
“I was NOT blushing! I had something on my face, that’s all!”
I knew she was lying. I rolled my eyes and replied, “Suuure you did.”
“You know, you're THIS close to ending up in the hospital!”
“From the look on that blush, you seem to enjoy it!”
Just before anything got outta hand, or hoof, Pinkie came by and said, “Noticed you two are getting along. I noticed you flirting with Lyra... How CUTE!”
“Me and Lyra are JUST frieeends! All we did was a little flirting... I did the same with Dash!” Dash gave me an angry stare, but something told me that were gonna be Ok!
“Whatever you say, McFlirtypants!”
As she left, I noticed Dash still giving me an angry look. She came closer to me and whispered, “I’m gonna get you back for this!”
I was a little nervous of plans she had for me. Apparently, Rainbow could be ruthless with pranks. Not only had she wanted to prank Fluttershy, but she made Gilda Griffon explode! “What are you gonna do?!”
She smiled and said “OH, you’ll find out soon!” She suddenly began leaning closer and closer, which made me feel uncomfortable. Oh GOD, she’s not gonna kiss me, is she?! She then whispered in my ear, “You know… I always find different species...HOT!”
Sweet Jesus!!
I blushed like mad now and my face was boiling a bit...I then heard Dash giggle and then burst into laughing. I was confused: what she was laughing about?
“HAHAHA! GOT YOU! You should see the look on your face!” While she was laughing, I couldn't help but smile. Who knew flirting with Rainbow Dash was so much fun?
Twilight approached, levitating her book. “I studied your behavior with other ponies…and something tells me you're fine with everypony else.”
I smiled and replied, “Glad to hear it!”
“OH! I almost forgot. I have to introduce you to my friends!” As I followed her, I saw the rest of her friends in a line.
Applejack walked towards me and shook my hand like CRAZY! “Well HOWDY, Josh! Glad to see you here again. I thought the princess wasn't gonna go easy on ya, but here you are!”
Twilight giggled a bit, and muttered, “I can see you met her already.” She then continue her the introduction of her friends.
I stuck my hand in front of Rarity for a handshake. She looked at my hand with a curious face and I knew what she was thinking and I told her, “Don’t worry; my hands aren't dirty. I washed before we left!”
She then smiled and shook my hand. “It’s a pleasant meeting you here, darling. What kind of clothes are you wearing?” The latter sentence had a note of curiosity.
“Oh, this is just a black t-shirt I’m wearing. And jeans.”
She looked at them with interest and said, “Well, I say they're quite..,unique, if I say so myself.”
Rarity giggled a bit and replied to my comment. “What a fine gentlemen for your age! I bet your parents raised you well!” AND… there goes the happy mood.
“This here is Pinkie Pie” Pinkie shook my hand up and down for a little while and started talking. “HEY, name’s Pinkie Pie, even though we already met! It’s nice to meet you again!” She continued to shake my hand for a while. When it finally got a little weird, then she finally stopped.
“And this here is Rainbow Dash, but it seemed you already met her?” Dash smiled at me and stuck her tongue out at me. I did the same, and we both giggled a bit. if only I could give her the middle finger! But that wouldn't do anything would, since they didn't know what it meant.
“And, last but not least, Fluttershy!”
“Eeeep!”
She hid behind Dash and trembled. Dash just sighed and told me, “She’s very shy.” She nodded and turned to the yellow mare. “Fluttershy, he’s harmless!” She then pushed her towards me...she stared at me for a few seconds and finally introduced herself.
“Umm…hi...Josh…”
“Hello to you too, Fluttershy!” She no longer feared me...much, anyway. “You don’t mind if I call you Flutters... do ya?”
“Oh no, not at all!”
“So, Flutters, you love animals, right?”
“Oh, I just LOVE animals!”
“Me too; one day you have to show me!” I said.
Fluttershy smiled. “Oh yes, that would be lovely.”
“Great to know that you got along with my friends! Now let’s continue the party.” said Twilight. As I talked with everypony, they gave me questions and I give them a short answers...We all got along just fine. Everypony were having a fun time! When everypony went home, they said their goodbyes to me, including Lyra, who passed by me and gave me a wink.
Twilight then came up beside me and said “Well, that was fun and all, but me and Josh have head back home.”
After we made our ‘byes, me and Twilight walked back home. I then asked her, “What do I have to do again when we get back?”
She turned to me and replied, “I'm going to ask you questions about humans; mostly important ones I need to know.”
OH MY LORD NOOO!!!
I gave her a fake smile and said “…I wouldn't mind one bit.”
“Splendid! I can’t wait for it!” When we got home, we saw Spike relaxing in a pile of books. Noticing Twilight and me, he started back to work again.
“Hey guys; you’re back! How was the party?”
“It was nice. Met some new friends, tried out new things, it was wonderful!” I replied cheerily.
“Umm… Twi? If it’s possible, can we do Q&A tomorrow? It’s just because I JUST got here and I want to explore Ponyville for a bit; if you don't mind, that is.”
Twilight thought it over and said, “Well…I suppose it would be better to get used to the village. SURE. Why not!” Phew!! That was a close one! “Spike, do me a favor and put this book on humans on the shelf for tomorrow.”
I decided to take a little nap in my room, so I’d have enough energy for touring the village.

While Twilight was reading one of her books, she heard a knock at the door. “Spike, can you get that?” Spike skipped to the door to open it. When he did, he saw Rainbow Dash standing there.
“Oh; hey, Spike. Is Twilight home?”
”It’s Rainbow Dash!”
Twilight put her book away and greeted her friend. “Hi, Rainbow Dash. Is there something I can help you with?”
Rainbow Dash shook her head and replied, “Uhh, no. Actually, I’m here to see if Josh is home?”
Rainbow Dash had an evil smile as planned something for our friend, Josh. “You don’t mind if I go check on him, do ya?”
Rainbow Dash then flew upstairs and found Josh’s room. He was sleeping like a log. She flew on top of him and shook him hardly. When Josh slowly opened his eyes, he saw Dash smiling at him saying, “Wake up, you lazy bones!” Josh then panicked and fell off his bed.
*Josh’s Point of View*
“HAHAHA! Morning Josh!” laughed Dash as I lay on the floor.
I gave her an angry look, replying, “HAHA very funny! What do you want, anyway?”
“I was wondering if you wanna hang out today?” I realized that I needed to explore the village. “Actually, I’m going for a walk to see the rest of Ponyville. You can come help me if you want.”
“AWESOME, let’s go!”
She grabbed my hand and flew straight downstairs! When we got outside I said, “Warn me next time that you're gonna do that!” Her only response was sticking her tongue at me and smiled. We went around Ponyville and saw some nice houses and ponies... it was a lovely day out.
“So, Dash, your friends are nice!” I said cheerfully.
“Yeah, they're pretty cool once you get to know them. Uhh… Josh?” I turned to face her and she continued, “When you flirted with me at Pinkie’s...did you mean ALL of it?”
I kinda felt a little warm inside that she asked. “Dash, of course I MEANT it...especially the hot part.” She punched me in the arm. Guess I deserved that! As we continued our walk, I notice her trying to hide her blush.
“So, uhhh JOSH! What was your place like!”
I tried my best to think of things that she’d understand.
"To be honest... Nice, I guess. But there are bad times like war, global warming, violence... Some bad stuff you can THINK of!"
Dash then looked at me with a frown. ”How can you live with that?" I shrugged as an answer. Where I was from, things like that didn't happen often, since we had gun control and all stuff like that.
“If it's not too much to ask...what was the last thing you did before you came here?”
"…Maybe I'll tell you and the gang when I'm ready... It's just... I was going through a tough time after someone…important in my life passed away, and-"
Just then, Dash hugged me, knowing that I was going through a bad time and said, "Hey… We’re your friends! We will never let anything happen to you!"
I attempted not to cry. I was in a better place now…"Thanks, Dash...I really needed that."
"Anytime, Josh. I am the element of loyalty, after all!"
“Can we hang out tomorrow?”
"Sorry, dude... I gotta work tomorrow." I decided to head back to Twilight's; the moon was extremely high. I gave her a groupie and she flew off, saying goodbye.
As I watched her fly off, lit by the moon, I decided to take a quick stop at Flutter's place, so I could see her animals...including Angel! I then made my way to Flutter's house.
To Fluttershy’s!
As I walked to Fluttershy’s house, I saw the aforementioned pegasus outside, feeding her small critters. Man, are they cute! She noticed me and waved. I did the same as well. “Hey, Flutters! What you doing?”
She smiled and replied, “Oh, I’m just feeding my pets. how you like Ponyville so far?”
“Great; Dash and I went for a walk not too long ago. It was nice”
“Well I’m glad you did...You want to help me feed my animals?”
I considered her request, but within seconds of asking, Fluttershy seemed panicked. “If you don't want to, that’s fine! Actually, sorry I asked!”
I then said what I’d been thinking. “Flutters, I wouldn't mind one bit.”
Fluttershy had a look of relief plastered on her face. “Oh, good. Let me introduce you to my animal friends.” As she introduced me to her pets, I saw Angel looking at me with an angry face. “And this here is Angel Say hi to Josh, Angel!” He stared at me with suspicion and turned away from me.
“Oh, Josh, here. Take some food to Angel.” Fluttershy offered me a large carrot. I grabbed the vegetable from her, and slowly approached Angel. The only thing that could be heard were the crickets and me repeating, “Here, bunny, bunny.” As I finally got closer to Angel, I slowly handed the food to him when he faced me. He smacked the food outta my hand!
You're lucky we’re not in my world, rabbit, I thought acidly, massaging my now numb hand. ‘Cause I would cook you into soup, you jerk!
Flutters then picked up Angel, scolding him. “Bad Angel, bad! That was not a nice thing do to our new friend!”
“Bye Josh... Stop by anytime,” Fluttershy waved as I began my trotting. “If you want to, that is!” she added hastily and nervously.
“I will for sure!”
I ran to Twilight’s place as fast as I could. When I got there, I saw the lights were still on… When I slowly opened the door, I noticed Twi reading a book on the floor. When her eyes met mine, she looked enraged. Boy, I’m in trouble now!
“Twilight, before you throw a fit, I just wanted to say that I'm late because I went to Fluttershy’s to help feed her animals!” Well, it was technically true.
Twi then calmed down a bit and responded, “Just don't scare me like that! I was worried about you! Ponyville can be dangerous at night, especially by the Everfree Forest, for somepony who doesn’t know his way around.”
She responded, sounding noticeably more timid, “I…was scared...something might have happened to you.”
“Twi, don’t worry. I’m here now. That’s all that matters, right? I'm safe and OK!” She finally calmed down, Thank God! As I headed upstairs, I turned to Twilight, who read the same book as when I came in. “Night Twi! See you in the morning!”
As I got to my boxers in my room, I got myself cozy in my new bed. There was stuff in my mind I was thinking about…Jake...my dad...and my mother. My mom was an angel. When she passed away from cancer when I was 9. Man, that’d broke me deeply. But I never cried. It showed weakness in me, and I stayed strong for it. Men don’t cry.
“Josh?” I woke up and notice someone saying my name. It certainly wasn't Twi or Dash; it belonged to a male. “Who is it?” I asked in surprise. Then, I realized that the voice was familiar; familiar from many fun times. DAD?! "Hello? Dad?!"I saw him standing in front of me with fog around him... I quickly got out of bed and hugged him…how I missed him so! "Glad to see you, too, Josh!" Dad beamed down at me. After I broke up the hug, I asked him, "Dad… What's heaven like?" he replied. "You’ll have to find that out for yourself one day, but you’d enjoy it.” Dad playfully winked at me, the way he always did. “Mom says hi, by the way!" I nodded, smiling. Mom was with him, in heaven! My dad said to me, "Josh... Do me favor for your old man. Continue living!" I forgot to tell him that I lived in a world of ponies. Technicolor ponies. "Dad, there's something you should know... I live in a world of p-" "No matter where you are, I just want you to be happy."I felt like crying. But held it in as much as I could! He then smiled and touched my shoulder. "I want you to grow up, start a family, LIVE!" "But, Dad, my new home is-" "I know you will make me proud! Bye, son!" He then faded away, waving goodbye. I panicked. "DAD, don't go!" But it was too late. "Please…don't go..."
I woke up from my dream in shock! I didn't want it to end. But it did, and that was what mattered. I then heard the door slowly open. It was Twilight! I didn’t forget my dream, but I was glad to see her. If I let her know that I had a sad dream, she’d be asking questions like a hummingbird’s wings.
"Morning, Twi. What brings you here?"
She looked at me with an eyebrow up. "Morning to you too! Today's the day for questions...no excuses!"
Lord, have mercy!
She then smiled at me and said, "Josh, glad you could make it!" I’m not. I darted down to the couch beside her and she got her pencil ready.
"So, what do you wanna know?"
"EVERYTHING!"
I didn't know where to start. Since I was only in high school, I didn't really pay attention much, not unlike most teenagers. I tried to give her all the information I knew from school first.
"OK, Twi. I'll tell you everything I know so far about history first.”
I told her about how earth began, and history, too, like the French Revolution, Industrial Revolution, World War 1, and World War 2, and some other stuff they taught you in high school.
"Wow, I'm surprised of how much you know! But, how can you live with that kind of stuff in your world?" asked Twilight.
I shrugged and replied, "I don't know, Twi. Sometimes I ask myself too." After a moment in silence, she randomly gave me a big hug.
"Don't worry,” she whispered, “you don't have to live through that anymore.
I felt warm inside and couldn't help but smile. I hugged her back. As we both hugged in silence, we soon heard Spike coming in.
"Hey, Twilight, I got this…book… you…wanted." He stopped regular speech upon seeing our hug. The air took an awkward turn. Spike then said, “OK, I can see you guys are busy. Guess I'll come back...later."
Twilight then burst out in embarrassment. "Spike, it’s not what you think!"
"Suure it does! Anyway, here's that book you've been asking for."
Twilight smiled. "Thanks Spike. You really are my #1 assistant!"
Spike blushed a bit. “Oh shucks, Twilight. You're too much!" Jokingly, he added, “You want me to get a blanket for you two to cuddle up?”
"SPIIIKE!" yelled an annoyed Twilight. As Spike left, Twi turned to me, saying “Let’s pretend this never happened.”
I nodded... I wasn’t planning on it, anyway! When she put her book of humans away, I said to her, “Twi…thanks for the hug.”
She grinned and replied, “No problem. OH, I almost forgot! Rarity wants you to come over to her place for something.”
“Why?”
“Not sure. But I would think it has something to do with your clothes.”
I rushed outside and headed to Rarity’s. While I was sprinting, I noticed Dash delivering mail. I waved to her while I was running and she began turning her flight toward me, flying alongside me. “Hey Josh, how’s it been?”
“Nothing much! How’s the mail?”
“Pretty good, I guess… HEY, wanna hang out all day tomorrow?” I rubbed my neck, stopping and thinking about it. I responded, “I don't know Dash…” She gave me an adorable ‘can I please have an ice cream face.’
Who could resist such a face?
“Ok, Dash, I'll hang out with you tomor-” Just then, I was tackled by Dash giving me a big hug. “THANKS Josh!” She then realized she was hugging me and then immediately let go of me with a blush. “So, yeah... Gotta go! BYE!” She then flew off to do her job. I continued to Rarity’s.
When I arrived at Rarity's, I knocked at her door a couple times and waited. Rarity answered the door and said, “It’s about time you showed up, darling, come in!” I stepped into her house and, first thing, noticed some dresses around... She was Rarity, after all.
“So, Rarity, why did you want me to come over?”
She stared at me with a discerning eye and said, “Oh, the clothing… I wanted to get a closer look at it.” She looked at my jeans…then my t-shirt... After a while, it made me feel uncomfortable. I said, “W-what are you doing?”
She looked up from my shoes and replied, “I'm studying your clothing so I can make copies for you.” I was confused.
“Why?”
“Cause you can't just wear the same clothes every day. That’d be just horrible!”
“Well, thanks, Rarity!”
“No problem, dear! Now, I need you to undress.”
What did she just say?!
“You…want me to…undress…in front of you?” She looked at me, pure innocence in her pristine gaze as she nodded. “Fine, but only down to my boxers!”
I undressed, feeling awkward, till I got to my boxers. “Umm… I need to make copies of your…boxers as well.” She levitated a towel to me.
You gotta be kidding me!
I grabbed the towel and hid behind the curtains as took them off. I stepped out of the curtains and, with my towel on to cover myself, she picked the clothes with her magic and placed them on the dress. “Soo, when can I have my clothes back?”
After 20 minutes of her studying my clothes…and measuring me… she finally brought the clothes back.
“That’s it?!”
“Well, for now, you have to wait about... 5 days to get copies of your clothes ready.”
I was surprised it was gonna take that long, but it was better than nothing. I noted what a good thing is was that I could wash my clothes until then!
As I put on my clothes back on, I told Rarity if there was anything else…gladly, she said no. When I headed off, I decided to pay Applejack a visit. While I walked to Sweet Apple Acres, I noticed Big Mac carrying a few barrels. When I entered the property, Applejack realized my presence and trotted towards me.
“Howdy, Sugarcube! What can ah do for ya?”
“Umm, well, AJ, I was hoping to help you out.”
She thought it over and responded, “Actually, you can help us Josh. Big Mac needs help carryin’ the cider barrels for cider season.”
Cider from Ponyville?! I’d ALWAYS wanted to try it... I wonder if it's all true that there’s alcohol in it!
I smiled and got to work. Big Mac was getting the next barrel and I said hi to him, he stared at me for a few moments. “Just to make it clear, I’m not gonna hurt anyone in your family! I’m harmless!” He then nodded with a smile. “So… are we cool?”
“Eeyup.”
Eeyup? Well...it is Big Mac, after all.
I carried one the barrels from the cart and MAN was it heavy! After carrying four barrels, I sat under a tree to relax.
Just then, I saw Applejack coming beside me saying, “This tree taken?”
I smiled and said “Not at all!“
She sat next to me and said, “Thanks for the help, Josh.”
I shrugged and replied, “No problem! Just felt like helping one of my friends for today!“
She took her hat off and placed it on my head…which was weird, in my opinion. She smiled and giggled a bit, saying, “Hehe…you're quite the handsome cowboy, aren't ya!“
I couldn't help but smile from the tease and I replied, “And you're quite the cute cowgirl, ain't ya?!”
Crap, shouldn't have said that!
She blushed a bit and leaned closer to me, whispering in my ear, “You know…since you helped Big Mac today, you should deserve a reward!”
Tell me I’m not hearing this!
Before I could say anything, she told me to follow her into her house. As I followed her, I was panicking a bit. Where was this going! When we got to her house, she opened the door and turned to me, saying, “After you!”
When I stepped into her house, I sat on the couch and she said, “Don't you go anywhere, Sugarcube. I'll be back.” As I sat on the couch, I was very nervous. What was Applejack about to do?! Then she yelled, “HOPE YER READY FOR MAH APPLE PIE! COME AN’ GET IT!”
Sweet Jesus!
When I slowly arrived to the kitchen, I saw Applejack bending over near the oven and I quickly said, “Applejack, thanks for the offer, but I don't think this is gonna happen!”
She turned around, holding an actual apple pie, saying, “What’re ya talkin ‘bout, Sugarcube?”
Ohhh that’s what she meant!
I rubbed the back of my neck and said, “Uhh…nothing, AJ… so what did you make me? PIE?!”
She smiled and replied, proudly, “YEP, apple pie! You've been such good help to Big Mac for carryin’ those barrels. Ah thought it would be nice to bake you pie!” I couldn't help but smile that she would do that for me…and I thought she was trying to have her way with me!
I took a slice and ate it all. I have to say, that’d been the BEST PIE EVER!
I jumped. “You do?” The pie squirmed uncomfortably in my stomach.
“I know a liar when ah see one. What do you humans REALLY eat?”
I didn't want to tell her the truth, but I might as well. I sighed. “Well, if you must know, humans DO eat fruit and vegetables. but they eat something else, too... they eat…” I couldn’t say the word!
“Spit it out, boy!”
“They eat…”
“Eat what?!”
“...Meat.”
“Come again, Sugarcube?”
“MEAT, OK?! Humans eat meat!”
I was upset that I’d raised my voice at her, but what I said had to be said. AJ was shaking a bit and said, “Josh..Ah'm surprised at you!” I felt bad of what she said. “Why in Equestria would you wanna eat animals?”
“Look, AJ, we don't eat them ALIVE... They were already dead! And I didn't say I enjoyed eating them! Sometimes, I do feel bad eating meat…but that’s what humans eat! I’m sorry if that makes you uncomfortable, but I’m in a different world now, and I should be thankful for that! Just, please, don’t tell the others. I know that it was wrong. …Especially not Fluttershy.
AJ looked at me with surprise for a moment and replied, “Look, Sugarcube, Ah’m sorry that ah put that kind of pressure on you. I promise not to tell the others, it'll just be our little secret.”
I looked up at her and she smiled down at me. I immediately gave her a hug, whispering in her ear, “Thank you… Thank you!”
We both sat there quietly for a few seconds, and then I broke up the hug. I then decided to head back to Twi and I said to AJ, “Well, thanks for the pie and such, but I think I should get going. Bye for now!” I ambled up to the door.
“Josh?” I turned around and saw AJ smiling at me. “If ya ever need somepony ta talk to, Ah’m here for ya!” I smiled and replied, “Thanks, AJ.” When I stepped outside, I took a deep breath and headed back to Twilight’s.
This is paradise!, My new life!, New friends, and nothing is gonna take that away from me!
When I got back to Twi’s, I went inside and saw Twilight. “Ah, Josh, you’re home! And just in time, too! I have one final question for you!”
“I thought we were done with Q&A?!”
“We were, but you left out one more thing I need to learn about.”
She then got all sweaty and got nervous. “Well, what is it you need to know?”
She walked closer to me, seeming to go through a personal crisis. I couldn't understand what she was saying, so I said, “C'mon… Spit it out!”
“HUMAN MATING!”
She then blushed a bit, and there was only one thing I had to say to myself in my head: you gotta be kidding me!

Rainbow Dash landed on a cloud to relax from having a long day at work, While she was staring at the sky she said to herself.
“What a day! Can’t wait for tomorrow!, just me...and Josh.”
But she then realized something; she has these weird feelings in her stomach and never expected it before, it felt like butterflies in her chest.
“Wait...why am I having these feelings for him?!, He’s a human for crying out loud!!!... I guess I just feel...comfortable around him, He’s such a teaser once in a while".
She then giggled about the time Josh flirted with her at the welcome party, She Knew it was pretty dumb…but for some reason…she liked it?!. She then hopped out of the cloud and flew to Rarity's place.
“I’ll ask Rarity!, she knows about that mushy romance stuff!”
When she got there she noticed Josh was JUST leaving, she hid behind the building and saw him walk off.
“There he is!, Why was he at Rarity's?!, must have something to do with his cloths.”
She landed in front of the door and knocked a couple time’s, When Rarity opened the door she said.
“well of course darling anything!”
“well...I need...dating advice”
All of a sudden Rarity giggled and said “you must be Joking”
“No...I’m not!”
Dash was staring at her with a serious face, Rarity’s face lead up and said “you came to the right mare Rainbow dash!”
“so what do you want to know darling?!”
Dash looked down at her tea and replied “umm?”
“OH, who’s the lucky stallion?!”
“Rarity..”
“he must be quite handsome!”
“RARITY!”
Rarity stopped talking and paid attention to Rainbow Dash, Dash then spoke “Rarity...let’s say I have a crush on this...stallion…and this...stallion just arrived in town...and you already have these…feelings for him...what should I do?!”
“Well my dear Rainbow...if I were you…I’ll tell him that I have those feelings for him, If he doesn't feel the same way you do Rainbow...well…I guess he’s not the right stallion for you.”
Rainbow took her tea and drink the whole thing she then looked at Rarity with a soft smile and said “Thanks Rarity.. You’re a real good friend!”
“no problem at all darling, and please come back sometime for a cup of tea, I really enjoy our visits”
Rainbow dash hugged her friend and whispered “if you ever tell anypony about his...I’ll cut your hair in your sleep!”
Rarity then whispered back “you have my word darling, this is between mare and mare!”
When Dash broke the hug Rarity then said. “if he does have feelings for you too, do you suppose I can dress you up for a date”
She then flew off to the sky and said to herself.
“Should I tell him tomorrow?!, or wait for the right time?!. URRRRG, Why is this so difficult for me!!!”
She then decided to pay a visit to Applejack's, When she arrived she saw Josh AGAIN!, Him again, what’s he doing at Sweet Apple Acres?. She then landed in front of the door and knocked, When AppleJack answered the door she saw Dash and said “well howdy Rainbow!, What can I do for ya!”
“umm, I was wondering if you need any help around the farm?”
“nope, Josh just came by here not too long ago and helped me pack some barrels for cider season!”
Rainbow Dash face let up and drooled a bit saying “cider season..,” but then she realized that Pinkie is always ahead of her in line, she then asked Aj a question.
“Hey AJ!, you don't suppose I can get a special line to get into cider season?”
Applejack looked at her and replied “keep dreaming Rainbow…keep dreaming!”, Rainbow dash was a little upset, but then said to Applejack “mind if I come in for a sec?”
“not at all sugarcube!”
When she entered her home she noticed a half-eaten pie at the living room table, she then asked Applejack “did Josh had pie not too long ago?”
AJ replied “yep!, he’s been a real help!...unlike some pony’s”
Rainbow then turned to Applejack with anger and saying “what’s that supposed to mean!”
AJ sighed and said “nothing…so anyway, since he helped Bigmac with those cider barrels I decided to reward him...with my homemade Apple pie!”
Rainbow Dash then looked at the pie with a smile and said to AJ “Mind if I have a slice?”
Rainbow then took a bite and tasted the delicious apple pie and said “this is...amazing!” She then thought to herselfThis is the same pie Josh ate...and I’m eating it..mmmmm.WAIT What am I thinking?
She swallowed the pie and asked Applejack “Just before I go AJ...do you know anything about...dating?”
Applejack looked at Rainbow with a confused face and replied “Dash...you're asking the wrong mare!”
She felt that she offended Applejack and replied “ok just wondering...and thanks for the pie”
Applejack smiled and replied "no problem sugercube!"
She flew back to her cloud house after a long day of thinking about josh, she hop into her bed and said to herself.
“Well...At least I’ll see him tomorrow, Now Remember!, you have a reputation to protect!. No one should know about this!”
She picked up her pet and said to it “Oh Tank...What happened to me!, I don't know who I am anymore!, CURSE YOU HORMONES!!!”
She then Placed Tank beside her and said “I’ll sleep on it, then I can try to figure this whole...feelings stuff?!,”
The next morning she woke up and realized today’s the day she’ll be hanging out with her Crush Josh. She dashed out of the room and made herself some toast, when she quickly ate up she flew straight outside and said to herself.
“Today’s the day!”

This Chapter kinda just stand's alone. (from my opinion), sorry that it's taken like FOREVER for Chapter 6, to be honest, Chapter 7 is done..just need to wait for my editor to finish the 6th chapter...

“Human mating?!” I practically screamed.
“I need to know how you humans...mate with another” Twilight said calmly.
Great! now I have to give her the birds and the bees crap! I sat on the couch thinking of some way say to tell her about mating in an easy fashion. Of course there is nothing ‘easy’ about sex but I may as well give it my best.
“S-So...when the man wants to...y-you know...he puts his thing in the women's...I CAN'T DO THIS!”
Maybe I could draw it out –no! That would be considered pornography. I could probably write it out but I’m not that good of a writer. Agh! This is so frustrating. My cheeks were probably full flush by now because my face felt like the front of a furnace.
I was sweating profusely and my hands were getting balmy. And to add to it all I probably looked like I had Parkinson’s with the way I was shaking.
Twilight noticing the state I was in tried to calm me down. “Josh... It’s ok, all I need to know is how humans mate, it’s a natural thing. Please.”
I looked at her, my cheeks ablaze. “Trust me...it’s a little complicated... human mating is just like...what you ponies’ do...THE END!”
I sat back on the couch and sighed, this is not going to be easy. My hands rubbed my eyes in attempt to alleviate the stress…nope, still there. Opening my eyes I found a smiling Twilight in front of me.
"Josh... would it be better if I would ask you on a date...just as friends of course!"
My eyes practically bulged out of their sockets. "WHAT! You're asking me out on a date hoping that it would help explain how human mating goes...and with a pony?!"
"Well... yes!"
"I'm sorry Twi... but I have to say no on this one"
I jumped out off of the couch and headed upstairs to my room. I laid on my bed thinking to myself, ‘Just when everything was settled...now I have to explain human mating to Twi...and she asked me to go on a date with her, but I’m just not ready for that kind of stuff.
It is getting late though. I'll sleep on it and maybe I'll have the mating talk after a conversation in the morning.

The next morning I was getting ready for the mating question and... the date. I really just wanted to get this over with, but first I'm going to take a nice, hot shower and get changed!
*Third Pony View*
Twilight was trotting back and forth. "I hope he’s not mad or anything! I shouldn't have asked him about human mating!"
At this spike walked in, "Twilight, I'm sure he's not mad or anything about what you ask him. What did you ask him about anyway?"
Twilight came to a halt, looking at him. "Nothing spike... I'll tell you when you're older"
Before she had a chance to get worked up again, there was knocking at her door. Opening it she was greeted by her one and only rainbow friend.
"Rainbow, what are you doing here?!"
Rainbow Dash smiled and replied, "Well duh, it’s the weekend! Just thought I might stop by and see if Josh was home!"
Twilight gave her a confused look. "Why?"
"Well yesterday I asked Josh if we could hang out on the weekend, so I'm here to see if he's awake."
It was Twilight’s luck that she got an opportunity like this and she wasn't about to give it up.
"Hey Rainbow, can you do me a BIG favor?"
Rainbow Dash smiled, happy to be of assistance to her friend, "Sure Twilight, anything! What is it?"
"Well, last night I asked Josh about...human mating and he overreacted a bit...so I volunteered myself to go on a date with him so would be easier in the study of human reproduction.
Unfortunately it made him extremely nervous. So since you’re close friends with him, I was wondering if you would go on a date with him?"
Rainbow Dash went silent for a few seconds. "How can I put this, hmmm...NO!”
"Rainbow I REALLY need your help on this, you're hanging out with him today anyway, why not make it a date!" Twilight pleaded.
Rainbow was getting annoyed. "Look Twilight, no matter what you say...you'll never convince me to take him out on a date!"
Twilight searched her brain for a way to make Dash want to go on a date with Josh. Wait, is it really that simple?
"Ok Dash, if there's ANYTHING you want, just say it"
A disturbingly mischievous smile formed on the cyan pegasus’s face.
"Anything I want eh?"
"Yes Rainbow, anything.
I really need this for science, please"
"Uurrrrrg, FINE...but I want VIP pass for the cider season line!"
"OK Dash, you got yourself a deal! I'll talk to applejack about it."
They both shook their hooves on the bet and they heard Josh coming downstairs.
*Josh’s Point of View*
"Ok Twi I've been thinking...if you really need to know about human mating...then I’ll accept your date to discuss it”
"That’s ok Josh; you don't need to date me"
Thank you Jesus!!!
Then I notice Dash was here, "Sup Dash, ready to hang out today!"
She gave me a smirk and replied, "Hi to you too bro!, and Yeah I'm pumped!"
I turned to Twilight "So Twi, you sure you don't need to talk about human dating and such?"
She shook her head. "No need to Josh"
"Phew!" That’s a relief.
"Cause Dash is taking you out to do it!"
What did she just say!
"Wait! Me and dash… on a date"
Twilight knew I was going to panic and tried to calm me down.
"Josh...I'll pay you if you go." I calmed down a bit. I do need the money, so I decided to get this over with.
"Fine...you got a deal Twi!" We both shook on the deal.
Dash and I took off into town. It was a little awkward walking without saying anything so I decided to break the ice.
“Good, sometimes it gets boring, but it's a living!” I nodded to the agreement and we both continued walking.
We went to Sugarcube Corner to get something to eat for breakfast. When we entered I noticed Mrs. Cake near the counter and she welcomed us with a cheerful smile.
“Well hello there Rainbow Dash!, nice to see you here...and who’s your friend?!”
“I know, you’re that human that everypony has been talking about! So what brings you here to Sugarcube Corner hon!”
“I’m...just getting breakfast with...Dash”
“Well how delightful, just take your seat and Pinkie will be with you shortly!”
Dash and I approached our table, sat down and waited patiently. It was quiet up until Dash broke the eerie silence between us.
“Josh, thanks for hanging out with me today. I know I would usually be hanging out with my other friends but I wanna get to know you better!”
I sighed “sure I guess. JUST to be clear…We're just hanging out as friends, right?!”
“Of course were just friends!” She then turned away from me with a frown. The facial expression doesn't suit her well.
“Dash, is something bothering you?”
She faced towards me slowly “What? I’m fine Josh! You don't need to be worried about me! I am Rainbow Dash after all!”
She’s lying!
I stared at her for a drawn moment. She gave me a quizzical gesture. “Why are you staring at me like that?”
“No reason, just got distracted by something beautiful”
She blushed a bit. “Oh, what is it?”
“It’s the sweetest thing I ever laid my eyes on!”
She blushed even harder and her eyes widened a bit “Who?”
“It’s, IT’S!”
Dash had the biggest smile. “YES?!”
“It’s, a creamy filled cupcake!!!”
Dash turned to the table behind her and saw bon-bon eating a cupcake. She quickly turned back to me with a serious face and punched me in the arm.
“I guess I deserve that. Sorry, just thought a little tease might cheer you up!”
She looked at me. “Well thanks for trying, but what did I say about flirting with me!” I giggled a bit and dash got a little annoyed. “Let’s just get this thing over with.”
Just then Pinkie trotted in front of us saying in excitement, “Hey Dashie, Hey Joshie. I’m super glad seeing you’re her- Oh My Gosh Are you two Dating? How sweet!!!”
“IT’S FOR SCIENCE!” Both Dash and I yelled out in unison. Pinkie’s only response was a smile. “Oh, why didn't you say so silly willys!! Now what can I get you?!”
Since it’s Ponyville, have to eat what they eat!
“I’ll have um …pancakes!” I said in a happy voice.
“And what will you be having Dashie?!”
“I'll have what he’s having Pinkie, thank you” Pinkie smiled happily and replied “Okie dokie; I'll let you know when they're ready!”
As Pinkie left, I give Dash a confused look. “What is it now, another cupcake bon-bon ordered?!” I shook my head.
“You're having what I'm having? How come?” She shrugged.
“Josh, can I ask you something”
“Sure Dash what is it?”
“Since you're the only human here, Have you ever thought of... having a relationship with a ..mare?”
Why would she be asking me that?!
“Dash, is there something you're trying to tell me?”
Before she could answer, however Pinkie yelled out “PANCAKES ARE DONE!” She trotted over and delivered them to our table. Boy do they smell good! I grabbed my fork and took a bite out of the pancake.
Holy Shit these are delicious!
I noticed Dash ‘pigging’ her food away and eating with her mouth open. When she finished she licked the plate clean, literally! She then noticed me staring at her and I gave her a grossed out face.
“...What?” She asked, oblivious to the obvious.
“Ever heard of table manners?”
She gave me a smirk and replied “Nope, ever heard of bruises?!”I looked at my arm where she punched me and we both giggled a bit.
When I finished my pancakes I asked Dash if she wanted to go for a walk. She smiled brightly and said yes. When we left Sugarcube corner we went for a walk around a park, Dash turned to me with a smile and said.
“Thanks for hanging out with me today...you're really awesome”
“No problem Dash, you're like my best friend!”
“Awesome, lets be Best friends then!!!”
We both brohoof to make us official best friends. We continued our walk until we reached Twilight’s place. We both stop by the door with Dash frowning.
“Sucks that the date is over…”
I looked at her in a confusing manner and she panicked a bit saying “umm well… I’m glad it’s over, now I can collect my reward!”
“What reward?”
“I told twilight that if I go on a date with you, she will have to get me a V.I.P. pass to the cider season line!”
“Cool, I'll get my reward to, BITS!”
“Nice!”
I was a bit upset that she only went on the date for the reward, but I guess she got what she wanted and so did I. We made our goodbyes with us bro hoofing and she flying off into the sky. When I was about to open the door I heard her coming back.
Why is she coming back?
When she landed she faced me and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek.
What just happened?!
She faced me again cheeks crimson. “Well, see ya!” She then flew back into the clouds again. I put my hands on my cheek and smiled a bit. Rainbow Dash kissed me... on the cheek. What a day!
I accepted it as a kiss of friendship.
I then entered Twilight’s house only to find her waiting for me. “Sooo... how was it?”
I shrugged and replied “It was ok I guess.”
She smiled. “Splendid! You have to tell me all about it!”
I sat on the couch next to her and I then told her about my Date with Dash.
When I finished telling her about the date she had begun to finish her research journal on human mating. She put the book away with her magic. “Well, WE'RE DONE! All the information about humans is complete!”
All the information about humans? I only told her stuff that I know.
She got up off of the couch and headed toward the door. “Now if you excuse me, I have to talk to Applejack about Rainbow’s V.I.P ticket. You can come if you want!”
“Sure! Just go ahead and I'll catch up!”
As she left I turned to the bookshelf to read what she had written about humans. I however, had no luck finding the darn thing. Suddenly I felt a tap on my leg. Peering down I saw spike holding the book in one claw. “Looking for this?”
“Thanks spike...you really are Twilight's number one assistant!”
He smiled and left me alone with the book. I opened it and began to read the part on human mating. To be honest, everything she wanted to know was there… but how?
I closed the book after I was finished and headed out toward Applejack’s.
Off to sweet apple acres again!

While I was on my way to Sweet Apple Acres, I saw Lyra walking along with Bon-Bon. I decided to talk to them since Lyra kind of has a crush on me.
God she’s adorable when she blushes!
“Hi” She stated simply. All of a sudden her eyes widened and she looked like she had realized something important.
“HEY I remember you! I saw you at Sugarcube corner with Rainbow Dash. Are you guy’s… dating?”
“WHAT?! NO! It was for science, we're just friends!”
“Oh, my bad. Anyway I heard good stuff about you!”
“Oh really, from who?” She pointed her hoof at Lyra and the sea green unicorn blushed madly. I give her a confused look and asked Bon-Bon.
“Really, what did she say about me?” Bon-bon was about to say something till Lyra shot her an angry glare.
“She just said that you're the most handsome stud ever!”
“Bon-bon, CUT. IT. OUT!” The mare screamed.
Bon-Bon only smirked and continued on. “She also says how dreamy you are, and wants to cuddle with you every night!”
The pale-yellow earth pony giggled and then abruptly paused. Out of nowhere she became serious.
“So umm… my friend Lyra was wondering if you wanna… you know… go on a date with her?” I was a little confused why Lyra wouldn't tell me, I guess she’s just shy. Well, considering I’m a [please edit in your characters height], meat eater, who wouldn't be?
I shrugged and said “sure why not!”
“EEEEHH!”Lyra squealed in happiness. She come over and gave me a tight hug, but suddenly froze up and began to panic.
Learning about human dating? I thought I already went this over with Dash?!
“I gotta go Josh; see you later at 7:00 at SUGARCUBE CORNER!”
Bon-Bon signed and turned to me. “She’s... happy! Haha”
“She sure is?!” I replied
“I’d look my best for her if I were you!”
“…why?”
“She’s always been dreaming about humans being real and well, now here you are! At first I didn't believe it but… WOW!”
When I arrived at sweet apple acres I noticed that Applejack was arguing with Twilight. Guess she doesn't like the idea of Dash having her own V.I.P. line. While I was getting closer to them AJ seemed to calm down a bit.
“FINE, but no one else gets a V.I.P. pass, JUST HER!” She said.
Twilight nodded briskly, “Understood.” Applejack turned and trotted back to her work
She sighed and said “Applejack didn't take the V.I.P. pass too well, but I promised her that it would just be Rainbow Dash and nopony else!”
I nodded and walked with Twilight back to her place. I told her about my date with Lyra and said that Lyra had always wanted to know about human dating. Twilight actually didn't seem to mind… weird.
In no time at all we were both standing in front of Twilight’s tree house.
She looked in the upwards at no particular direction, her face twisted into a quizzical scrunch. “I think around 4:00 pm”
“Ok, thanks. I’m going to take a little nap. Can you wake me up in 2 hours?” I raised an eyebrow.
“Of course Josh, you have to look your best for your date!” The purple pony said happily, oblivious to my red face.
“Ok then!”
I then walked upstairs to my room to have my little nap. After a long day of questions, hanging with Dash and a nice walk, I was kind of tired. But I loved it, everything here was just great!
*Third Pony View *
“Haha, it’s totally a date!” chuckled Twilight. She then grabbed a quill and paper with her magic and began to write out a letter to her mentor.
Dear princess Celestia, I've finally got the information we been looking for. I have the book with me and will send it to you later in the day. Everything in this book is ALL you need to know about humans… well, sort of. Never the less, I hope this helps, princess. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle.
When she finished her note, she gave it to Spike who then blew it away in a puff of green fire.
Knock, Knock!
“Come in” said Twilight
The door opened and a cyan mare came trotted in.
“Twilight is Josh here?” Twilight looked at Dash with her head tilted a little to the right; it was a very distinct gesture.
“Yes, he is; why?”
Dash shifted back and forth on her hooves, obviously nervous. “I was wondering if I can… borrow him for tonight?”
“What do you mean?” Twilight questioned.
“I want to ask him on a... Date” Her voice quavered, although quiet.
“What was that?” Twilight turned her ear toward the speedster pony.
“A… date.” Unlike her personality, Dash couldn't help but blush.
“But Dash, you already have done that for me. I've already got the information I needed for human dating.”
“I know but… I want to go on an… actual DATE!”
Twilight, at first, gave Rainbow dash a confused look but then her eyes shot wide in realization.
“Rainbow, do you have a crush on Josh?! How adorable!”
Rainbow Dash’s cheeks began to burn with red at the purple mare’s comment.
“What? No! I didn't say that! It’s Just a best friend date, cause you know… when I said date, I really meant a bff… date.”
Twilight saw the obvious lie before her, but decided to just play along.
“What time should I tell Josh to meet you at?”
“7:00, Sugarcube corner!”
“Uhhh… I don't know about that.”
“Why not?”
Twilight wanted to tell her that Josh was going out with Lyra to help her study human dating, but didn't have the guts to tell Dash. She didn’t want to risk ruining Josh and Dash’s friendship.
“Because he’s already going on a... date”
“Oh.... with whom” Rainbow’s down-trotted demeanor hung heavy like a thick curtain.
“Lyra, but it is JUST for her to study human dating” Dash’s face picked up a bit, she was still visibly upset.
“Well Twilight, can you let Josh know that I said hi”
“I will Rainbow”
“Thanks”
With that rainbow left Twilights home, her pace slower than usual. She also left Twilight with a lot of questions.
*Josh’s Point of View *
I slowly woke up when I heard a door close. Wonder who that could’ve been? I got up and walked back downstairs and saw Twilight sitting there in front of the door with a confused look on her face.
“Was somepony here while I was asleep?”
“It was Rainbow Dash; she wanted to see if you wanted to… ‘hang’ with her later today, but I told her you had plans. She also wanted me to tell you hi.”
“Really?”
“If you ask me, she’s been acting weird when she’s with you. Have you ever noticed her actions when I sent you two on that date?”
I thought it over a bit and she had a good point, besides Dash kissed me! ... on the cheek! I’m pretty sure it meant SOMETHING?! Guess I have to ask her when I see her again
“She blushed I think a couple times and when the date was over she... kissed me”
“She WHAT?!”
“It was only on the cheek!”
“This is just odd, Rainbow’s usually not into mushy stuff?!”
“Twilight, I’m pretty sure it’s just a friendship kiss, nothing else!”
Twilight then calmed down a bit. I wouldn't blame her, one of her friends MIGHT have feelings for me. I find it strange, even for Dash; she wouldn't be into that stuff. After things calmed down, Twilight spoke up.
“Josh, tomorrow you need to have a talk with Dash and ask her why she’s been acting like this around you. I've never seen her this way before?.”
“I will Twilight.”
Josh looked at the clock with heavy eyes.
“I’m going back to sleep, wake me in-”
“I know Josh; wake you up around 6:30 at least.”
I went upstairs with a lot of questions on my mind. Maybe Rainbow has a crush on me, what else would that kiss mean? I hopped into my bed where I should be able to relax. The date, Dash and my dad, there was just too much to worry about. I covered myself with the covers and slept away.
“Wake Up!”
I woke up and noticed Twilight was at the door. I then almost forgot the date! I quickly asked her what time it was and she said its 6:40! I got off the bed and quickly put on my clothes. I sleep in my boxers just in case you're wondering?!! I then head downstairs and saw Twilight waiting for me.
“Ok, let me fix you up before you go!”
She quickly picked up a brush with her magic and brushed my hair. Jeez she’s acting like a mom to me? I then brushed my hair a bit to its normal style.
“Thanks Twilight, but I really don't need to be that clean, I’m just being myself!”
“Fine Josh, have fun with your date!”
“Just a reminder… this is for science!”
Twilight giggled and said in a sarcastic tone “Whatever you say Josh”
I rushed myself outside and heard Twilight yell to me.
“Be back by 9:00 at least!” Jesus, now I know she’s acting like a mom. Now I know how Spike feels. I then ran to sugarcube corner to meet up with Lyra. When I arrived there I noticed Lyra sitting at a reserved table. She noticed me and smiled.
“Am I late?!”
“Not really. In fact you're here just in time!”
I smiled and sat in the chair facing her. I looked at the reserved sign and picked it up. I looked at her with a chuckle.
“Reserve table’s? What's the special occasion?”
“N-nothing! Just wanna have a nice dinner with you!”
She blushed a bit and looked at me with eyes half-lidded. Why she looking at me like that? It was getting a bit awkward for me.
“Well, you said you wanted to know about human dating; so what do you wanna know?”
She moved closer to me and whispered in my ear in a sultry tone. “Everything!”
I heated up a bit knowing I was at a full blush right now. When she said everything..she means...EVERYTHING!! I tried to say something but she grabbed both of my hands with both of her hooves.
Whaaat is going on here?!
She smiled and said “You know, I’ve always fantasized about meeting a human and I’ve always fantasized about… kissing one.”
She gave me a warm smile, still holding both of my hands with her hooves, while she was staring at me.
What have I gotten myself into?!
I woke up with the morning light in my eyes and decided to take a shower. While I was showering I said to myself “What do I say to her? Do I take her out for a date or just say that I love her?” Either way, I still wasn't sure what to say to Dash But I hope I can think of something.
After my shower I dried off and got changed into my clothes. As I headed downstairs I smelled something that was familiar, eggs and toast? When I headed to the kitchen I saw spike cooking some breakfast.
“Wow spike you're a great cook, you know that!” He turned around with a smile. “Thanks Josh!, And good morning by the way” I sat on the Chair and asked spike.
“Did you really cook all this?”
“A little, Twilight mostly helped me” As he finished talking Twilight came in and said “good morning Josh! How are you this fine morning?”
I smiled with a friendly reply, “Quite fine really; you?”
“It’s been good thank you!” She then sat down to eat breakfast. Although I wasn't much of a talker I decided to start a topic. “So... read any good books lately?”
She gave me a weird look and replied, “Since when did you focus on what I read?” I didn't answer right away, just gave her a blank face before I can come up with something.
“Since you became... interesting.”
“I’m...interesting to you?”
I shrugged, “sure, your nice, smart, pretty and-”
“You think I’m pretty?” I froze up at what I just said to twilight. She stared at me with a blush while I continued to eat my breakfast.
“So anyways, need any help with anything?” She stopped blushing.
“I don’t think so? Spike mostly helps me with everything.” When I finished my breakfast I took the plate to the sink.
“Is there anything special going on today in Ponyville?” Just when she was about to answer I heard the door slam open and saw Dash with a face for hunger.
“IT’S APPLE CIDER SEASON!!!”
Twilight looked at dash and said, “Well good morning to you too Dash.” She’s here...now’s your chance. I walked towards Dash.
“Hi Dash, just the pony I wanted to see. There’s something I wanted to tell yo-” She then cut me off with her hoof in my mouth.
“Whatever it is, it can wait! We gotta get to sweet apple acres, PRONTO!” She then grabbed my hand and put me on her back, which was awkward for me and flew off outside. I held on to dash tightly as she was going fast, REALLY fast. When we finally arrived at sweet apple acres we both saw the big line up. Jesus, is apple cider really that good?! We then landed behind the red carpet with 2 poles.
“Well Howdy Josh!” I noticed Applejack trotting towards us, “Well howdy to you too AJ!” I replied. She then looked at Dash and said “...Howdy to you to Dash, You both excited for cider season!” I was about to say something till Dash flew above AJ.
“Well I’m glad you're excited and how bout you Josh?” I shrugged. “I guess you can say I’m excited, I always wanted to try this stuff” She then put her hoof on my chest and said, “Well today’s is your lucky day fella!” Man is this gonna be sweet! I then heard a bell ring and Saw AJ looking at the counter.
“Well I gotta get going; you two have a good one!” C'mon Josh!, Say something to her!
“Ummm Dash... there’s something I’ve been trying to tell you.” She turned around with a smile.
“S-sure Josh, what is it?” I rubbed the back of my neck.
“Dash I just wanna say how much-”
“APPLE CIDER SEASON IS OPEN!” I was cut off by Applejack and saw Dash in front of the counter with her bits. She then bought two full apple cider mugs and brought them to me. “Here ya go!” She passed me a cup and gave her a confused look.
“Wait, you bought me some? Why?” She shrugged and replied “Why not? You said you always wanted to try it, so I got you one”. I grabbed the cider cup out of her hoof.
“T-Thank’s Dash!” This is the moment! I’m going to try cider in Ponyville, for the first time! Dash held her cup up and said “Cheers!” We both clanked our cups together and took a drink.
When I finished my drink I thought to myself It tastes like apple juice...put sweeter and more sugar...This.is.AMAZING! We both finished our drink and Dash gave me a smirk saying “Good isn't it?!” I nodded and tried to continue what I was gonna say to Dash...but forgot what I was gonna say!.
Shit!, C’mon man!, say something to her!
“Ummm..you look pretty today.” Dash gave me a blank look for a sec then blushed.
“T-Thanks! BUT what did I say about flirting with me!” She tried hiding her blush and I gotta tell ya...she looks cute doing it. “...anyway Dash, There’s something I gotta tell ya!” Her eyes lit up and said, “Yes...” I rubbed my arm and tried to say something to her, but kept choking. “I just want to tell you that how much you meant to me” Her eyes grow wider and came a little closer to me.
“YES!,...”
“So...you know, I lo-”
“HEY DASHIE!”
Is this gonna happen all the time?!
I looked behind Dash and saw Pinkie holding A LOT of cider cups, I guess she REALLY love’s cider. Dash sighed and said, “Hey Pinkie, what’s up?” She put the cups down and replied, “Nothing much, Just wanted to see what my friend’s are up to!” Me and Dash both looked at each other with confused looks and turned to pinkie saying, “Just...having a nice chat” I said.
“Ok well see you later, I got cider to drink!” Next thing you know she’s gone. “Well...that was weird.” I said to Dash. She chuckled and said, “Yep, She’s sooo random” I chuckled as well and replied “She IS pinkie pie!” When we finished our laugh’s Dash was the first to speak, “So... what were you about to say, before Pinkie interrupted you?”
...This is it!, you can do it!
“Ummm, I was about to say that how much you-”
“HOWDY JOSH!”
You gotta be kidding me!
I sighed and said “Hey Applejack...” She smiled at me and pointed her hoof towards my empty cup with a smile, “I guess you enjoyed the cider huh!” I nodded and replied, “It was awesome! You make the best cider ever!” She blushed at my compliment on her cider and replied “Well shuck’s sugarcube, Thanks! Well I best be going now, you two take care now you hear!”
When Applejack left it was just me and Dash again...I hope. “So Josh... you were saying” said Dash staring at me with a smile, ...Just.Say.IT! I started to sweat a little and Dash noticed me a little shaky “Josh is something wrong?, You know you can tell me” She then put her hoof around me with a warm smile. “We’re Best friend’s!...right?” I was silent for a few second’s dash started to frown a bit...which was making me upset.
“Dash... I Lov-”
“Hey Josh.”
FOR FUCK SAKE’S!!!!
I noticed Twilight calling my name while holding a sac, “Josh I almost forgot about your payment!” She handed me the bag and noticed the sound of bits. “How much is in there?” She smiled and rolled her eyes at me and replied “Oh I don’t know... bout 200 bits.”
HOLY SHIT!
I looked up at Twilight. “Twi...you don’t need to do that, giving me your bits and all seems wrong!” She gave me a little confused look and said “Oh those aren't my bit’s, they’re from the Princess!
She was VERY interested about the fact’s on human’s and she gave you a bonus”.
Wow...were they THAT impressive?!
“ I... don't know what to say Twilight...Thanks! You really are great!” She smiled and replied “Thanks Josh anytime!” When she left, me and dash both sighed and looked at each other. “Maybe it’s just best if you say it after” You’re losing her! Just say it! “Dash do you want to hangout!”. She stared at me with confusing and said.
“Is that what you wanted to tell me?”
No...
“Yes! So what do you say? ”She smiled and replied “I wish I could...but me and the gang are having a sleepover tonight at Twilight’s.” I was a little upset that she was having a sleepover... a girls sleepover! She rubbed her chin and said “You know what, you should come. YA, It’ll be awesome!” I noticed her blush a little.
“I don’t know Dash... I don't want to be a bother, and isn't there a rule in girls sleepover about no boys aloud?!”
“You're our friend!, we don't mind at all!”
Really now?!
I was surprised that she offered me to come; it’s not every day you get to have a sleepover with the mane 6! I then thought about it and said, “You know what… I’ll go!” She had a big smile on her face and something unexpected happen...she hugged me with a tight grip and said “YEESS!, your awesome!...you know that right!” She then notices she was hugging me and let go of me.
She blushed and rubbed her neck nervously “you know...that’s cool of you to join us” I couldn't help but smile a bit and reply “whatever you say dash” She smiled back and punched me lightly in the arm. “well...see you later Josh”. Next thing I knew...she flew off.
When I returned to Twilight’s, I helped her planned her sleepover, but since she has the book about sleepovers I’m pretty sure she’s all good. “Thanks for the help Josh, It’s really great that you can join us tonight!” I smiled and replied “anytime Twi!, so when is everyone coming over?”
“oh, any minute now!”
“That’s good”
“...so, did you tell rainbow?”
I stopped filling the bowl with chips and turned around “what you mean?” She looked at me with a smirk and replied, “You know what I mean Josh... did you tell her that you have feelings too?”
Really?! Again with this.
“Well... I tried... but I kept choking up whenever I tried to tell her, and when I DO get the courage to tell her we keep getting interrupted by somepony!”
“Well...maybe you can tell her when she gets here!” I don't think it’s a good idea to tell someone’s feeling’s in front of her friend’s...
“Fine... I will.”
She smiled and replied, “Glad to hear that Josh!” We then heard a couple of knock’s on the door, only to find out it was the rest of the gang. “Hey girl’s!” said Twilight in an excited voice. They all get together with a group hug...while I was watching them with a warm smile. They really do care for each other! Wish MY friend’s back on earth were like that.
“Well hello Darling, are you joining us tonight?” I turned and saw Rarity talking to me. “I guess so..” I shrugged., she then smiled and said “splendid!” That night we were doing stuff that normal girl sleepovers were kinda like...make up (not for me), Pillow fight. (I try my best not to hit them hard), and telling scary stories (most of them are not scary by the way...). but now we get to the truth and dare...which kinda worried me....
“Ok girl’s! who want to go first!” said Twilight
“Oh!, meMeMeMeMe!” yelled pinkie waving her hoof.
“Ok Pinkie! Truth or dare!” Pinkie was scratching her chin and thought about, until she made her decision.
“Dare.”
“Ok Pinkie, I dare you to drink this WHOLE bottle of pop!” Pinkie got up and trotted towards the bottle, picked it up, and drank the whole thing down! DAMN! she.can.drink! When she finished she burped loud and then giggled with a small blush, I couldn't help but laugh. The rest of the gang laughed too. When Pinkie returned she smiled and was about to choose one of us.
“Ok Fluttershy, truth or dare” She was a little nervous but decided her choice, “Um, truth.”
“Is it true that you named a bunny named angel?” The gang kind of looked at Pinkie kind of dumb and turned to Fluttershy.
“Of course, he’s my favorite!”
“Okie dokie!, just wondering!” It was now Fluttershy's turn to choose someo- I mean somepony! For Fluttershy it was hard to tell who she would choose.
She then finally made her decision to choose the next pony, or person.
“I choose.. Rainbow.. If you don’t mind of course.” She said shyly.
“Of course not flutters, I’m ready for anything!”
“Umm ok..truth or da-”
“DARE!”
“O-ok then.. umm.. I dare you to... fly to sweet apple acres and back.” Dash then flew off outside. We waited for like 10 seconds until she came back. That was quick! She landed back into her spot and said, “I could have finished in 7 seconds flat!” I decided to tease her and said, “But it wasn't! It was 10 second’s” She then stared at me with a serious face.. then said “watch it Josh!..it’s my turn you know!” she stared at me with a smirk and already chosen me.. Shit!
“Ok Josh, truth or dare?!” Better choose truth, just to be safe.
“Truth”
Ok then Josh...what do you think of me!” It was an awkward silence on everypony. I was kind of speechless. While Dash was staring at me waiting for an answer, I was trying to think what to say to her, so I decided to be a man and tell her from the heart of what I think about her. I Just hope that I say it right.
“Rainbow Dash... you are the most awesome pony I know! You're talented, hot, and sometimes a pain in the butt, but that’s why I like about you! You're you! I think that every stallion would be lucky enough to be with you! You've been helping me since I got here, including you girl’s! And I want to thank you. I want to thank ALL of you for making me feel welcome!”
The room was silent and the whole gang was surprised of what I just said. They stared at me with warm smiles’. Dash blushed like MAD; her eye’s glowing at me. I then tried to say something else..
“So Dash, what I’m trying to say is that I love yo-”
I was cut off by Dash pressing her lips against mine. I was quite surprised at first but then kissed her back. I gotta tell you making out with Rainbow Dash is GREAT! There was barely tongue, but it was great I tell you! She then finished kissing me and looked at me. She smiled at me and said.
“I love you too”

Tonight was the happiest night of my life!
Me and Dash looked into each other eyes, smiling.
“Aweeee!” We looked beside us and notice the gang smiling warmly.
I was a little embarrassed and the same goes for Dash, “Isn't that the cutest thing you've ever seen!” said Pinkie smiling at us.
“I say, you two are meant for each other!” What Rarity said made a good point!
We looked into each other eyes again and smiled.
“Well... we should get some sleep.” I said.
“Y-Ya, we should get some shut eye!” replied Dash rubbing the back of her neck, blushing.
Everypony went to sleep in their sleeping bags... Except me, “Hey Twilight... where do I sleep?” Twilight got up and replied
“Oh! Uhm, I didn't have enough sleeping bags, for you... but you can take the couch.” I smiled and said “Thanks Twilight.”
“Unless, you wanna sleep with me.”
“What was that?”
“Nothing!”
I shrugged and laid down on the couch, thinking about tonight. What. A. Day! kissed Rainbow Dash... I guess, you can say we are dating? ...I just hope I don't mess anything up... But I’ll see what day brings me tomorrow.
“Greetings Josh!” I woke up seeing Luna standing in front of me... is she gonna keep visiting me every night?!
“Oh. Hey Luna, how are you?” She smiled and replied.
“I’m quite fine, thank you!” I was getting a little awkward by her visiting, so I asked her.
“So... why are you here this time?”
“I just want to congratulate you, for telling Rainbow Dash how you feel about her! I’m sure you two are going to be just fine.”
“Well, thank you Luna... I guess, I am proud of myself for taking that step.”
We talked a bit about me and Dash, and Dash and me, and birds and bees and other uneasy stuff... and about Luna being sent to the moon...
She then left me alone, to sleep in peace...
The sleeping in peace part was rather short lived.
I woke up, it was still early but... I felt something furry, slightly heavy on my chest and opened my eyes a little more... in the dim light I saw, yellow and orange and... cyan... Rainbow Dash! Sleeping on my chest!
I swear, I felt my heart explode!
I tried my best to move, but didn't wanted to wake her... so I just kinda decided to laid there, till she wakes up.
Only my lungs had an other opinion about that...
“Psst, Rainbow?” No answer.
“...Dash?...” Still, no answer.
I decided to shake her a little bit to wake her up.
So I did, Dash slowly opened her eye’s a little bit and yawned.
She turned to me and smiled, “Good morning hot stuff.” I chuckled and replied
“Morning to you too, Dash... slept good last night?” She began stretching her hoofs in the air.
“You know... you make a comfy pillow... I should sleep on you more often!”
“Sounds like a plan to me.”
With that I got off the couch and walked to the kitchen, to get some breakfast...
Since I was in a good mood this morning, I thought it would be nice to cook the girls some good breakfast.
After cooking eggs and buttered toast for each of my friends, I walked back to the living room right in time to see everypony waking up.
Slowly collective yawns where filling the room.
“Morning girls! I believe you all had a good sleep?”
“Sure did Josh.” said Applejack.
“Why thank you for asking darling, I've had quite the beauty sleep!” came Rarity’s reply.
“HEY, are you making breakfast?!” erupted Pinkie in excitement.
“Yeah, exactly! I thought it would be nice if I make you girls breakf-”
I was cut off from Pinkie pitching my left cheek with her hoof... which really hurt, “Aren't you a sweety!?” ...ow... After Pinkie stopped pitching me, we moved to the kitchen table to eat.
While eating breakfast, I was getting some compliments for my cooking. “Darn tootin Josh! This here is a great breakfast, been awhile since I've had eggs and toast!”
I smiled at Applejack’s compliment. “Thank you, AJ.”
“Applejack is right, This is delicious!” said Twilight eating her eggs.
“Thank you for the breakfast, Josh... that was really nice of you.” said Fluttershy shyly.
The rest of them ate and thanked me each for the breakfast, I made for them...While I was eating my toast, I felt something rub against my right leg.I looked under the table to find Dash’s leg playing footsies with me.
I looked at Dash, who was winking at me while playfully nibbling on her toast... I blushed a little and continue eating.
“So Josh... The princess told me that you had a... sad past... what did she mean by that?” asked Twilight.
I dropped the fork in shock and almost spilled my orange juice.
“I-I don’t know what you're talking about Twilight?!” Twilight gaze hardened on me.
“Josh... what happened before you came to Ponyville?”
I looked at the mane 6 and there it was obvious, they were curious to know about the hell I gone through before I came here.
“Josh, you can tell us, we’re your friends... If something is bugging you, tell us, we really want to help you.” I looked back up at Dash who smiled at me... so I took a deep breath and tolled them.
“I've been through a lot of... unpleasant events to state it kindly, before I showed up here, I don’t know how to explain it, but... I’ll try my best, so... I’ll tell you what happened...”
I told them about my father's death caused by a fire, which really put me in a big depression...Then, after that, I told them about them putting me in a orphanage, since I’m not the proper age to live on my own.After that I explained to them what kind of things I was going through, being alone in the house.I told them about the party and the things in the party I regretted, like the underage drinking... Than I explained the car crash... I always wonder if Jake had survived... I hoped he was Ok.
I felt like a heavy burden was lifted off of my chest... I told them about My little Pony: Friendship is Magic.Understandably, after that, they seemed a little confused...Some were really creeped out about the idea of humans watching them for their amusement.
Then I FINALLY told them about humans being omnivores, mostly I told them about human’s eating meat... like cows, chicken, pork, and that sort of stuff.After that, they seemed to except it... Except for Fluttershy, she was kinda brokenhearted that humans do something like that... she was also kinda upset I was part of it... but I promised her, as long as I’m here, I have no plans to eat meat, just the stuff they eat.
She smiled and excepted me for what and who I am... I turned to Applejack who smiled at me for telling the truth.
Covering my face with my hands, crying, I then felt something smooth around me, I took a peak through my fingers to see Rainbow Dash, hugging me sparkling tears in her eyes, crying on my chest. So I hugged her back, the rest of the gang joined in a group hug... We all hugged each other with tears in our eye’s.
“T-Thank you all very much!” I sniffed,“I’m lucky to have friends like yo-”
“Shh don’t talk... just let it all out.” said Twilight in a calm voice.
After all those sad moments... I felt like peace finally settled in my heart.
We put our plates away and everypony was heading home. We said our goodbye’s one by one. When it got to Dash, she looked at me and said.
“So.”
“So?” I replied.
“So...ahm... thanks for showing up for the sleepover.” Dash begun.
“Ahm... Your welcome... I kinda live there anyway, so... I had nothing better to do.”
“So Josh... do you think you can give me a little good bye kiss?”
She gave me a smirk and moved her left cheek close to my face.
I shrugged with the slightest hint of an smirk and kissed her on the cheek.
“Is that really enough to get you through the day?” I asked jokingly.
She shook her head and replied in her usual tomboyish challenging way “Nope...”
She grabbed my T-Shirt with both hoofs “But this will!”
Smirking like a bandit she kissed me passionately on the lips.
Well... I could get used to this...
After that, I asked her. “Wanna spend tomorrow, the day together?” She blushed, nodding her head.
Still smirking like the bandit king... or rather queen her self, she flow of. After I closed the door and turned around to Twilight, gave me a smirk, not so big like Rainbows, but still... “...Why are you making that face?”
“I just find it really adorable seeing you and Rainbow together, you two make the perfect couple!”
“Thanks Twi, we’re gonna be spending the whole day together tomorrow.”
“Well, I hope you two will have fun together... But, can I tell you something?”
“What is it?”
She then came closer to my face and looked at me very serious... ”If you EVER do anything that would hurt Rainbow Dash, I’ll do something to you, that you will NEVER forgot... understood?!?”
I stood there sweating a bit and nodded in response.
She then smiled again and said.
“Glad to hear that!... So what do you wanna do today?”
Jesus Christ! She sure can be scary sometimes.
“Umm... I’m not sure, I should probably go visit Lyra, been awhile since I saw her.”
“Ok then, just be home by 6:00!”
“Ok mom...” I said sarcastically, Twilight in response looked at me with the ‘Twilight is not amused’ face.
To avoiding all further unnecessary fuel for nightmares including me and an giant lavender mare... I ran outside before things turn ugly.
I walked around Ponyville, greeting the a few pony’s I saw, on my way to Lyra's home.
As I got reached Lyra's I knocked on the door a couple times and somepony opened the door... turned out that pony was Bon Bon.
“Umm... Is Lyra home?”
“Yes she is! Would you like to come in?”
“Sure!”
When I stepped in I decided to lay on the couch and wait for Lyra. Bon Bon smiled to me “I’ll go get Lyra, make yourself comfy. You know... Lyra wasn't lying when she said you were cute...” She giggled a bit which weirded me a little out.
As she saw me, she showed the biggest smile on her face and throw her self on me in a hug.“JOSH! It’s so nice of you to come visit, it’s been like... FOREVER!!!”
“... seems for me, like just a couple of days...”
“Oh, right! Silly me. So... what brings you here?”
“Well... I have nothing better to do today... so I thought it would be nice to visit.”
“Well, that’s nice of you!”
We sat on the couch and talked a bit...I told her about the little talk I had with the girl’s... she gave me a tight hug and offered “If you ever need someone to talk to, I’m here!”
I smiled, almost all my friends here said that.
I then turned to Bon Bon and asked if she wanted to know about human’s too.
“Ow sorry, I can’t. I have to go run the candy stand,... ahm... Lyra can you come help me?”
“Sure will, Bonny!”
“WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT CALLING ME THAT?!?”
“Jeez, Bon Bon, I was just joking with ya!” shrugged Lyra.
“Whatever... See ya later Mr... What does they call you?”
“Josh.”
“Ok Josh, It was nice meeting you, hope to see you again, soon!”
“Well than, see you both!” I stood up “Lyra, Bon Bon.” Nodding to each while saying there names in farewell.
Great... I mused, I don't know what to do with the rest of the day,... maybe I should go see what Pinkie is up to?
“Well hello there Josh! How can I help you?”
“I was wondering if Pinkie was here today?”
“Yes, she is, Pinkie helps us out delivering today, she is in the backroom, follow me Josh.”
So I followed Ms Cake in the backroom, where they make and package the cakes and other things.
Pinkie was boxing up a nice sized cake, “hey Pink’s!”
She turned around, in the moment she saw me Pinkie smiled wider as physically possible “JOSHY!”
She ran towards and me and throw her self in an hug around me... What's up?... Is it 'Hug's day'?
“What brings you here Josh, is there something I can help you with!?”
“Actually I thought-”
“Do you want a cake?!? OH!!! Or a cupcake? Or better yet a-”
“Pinkie... the reason I came here is just to see if you need any help.”
“Actually you can help Josh, I need you to deliver this package to... Rarity.”
“...Rarity?”
“YEAH! It’s Sweetie Belle's birthday!”
“Alright then,... I shall deliver this package captain Pinkie!”
She giggled in response and gave me the box with the cake.
So I left Sugar Cube Corner, musing, I should probably get Sweetie Belle a gift card... But where can I get one? As I arrived at Rarity's I knocked the door a couple times.
“COME IN.” Rarity's silk voice called out.
I opened the door to see birthday decoration and what not.
Noticing Rarity as she setts up a few birthday plates and forks with her magic. “Umm... Hi Rarity!”
She turned around, smiling. “Well, hello Darling! … What brings you here?”
I placed the box on the table and said.
“Pinkie told me that it was Sweetie belle’s birthday today and I volunteered to help her out delivering this cake.”
“Well thank you very much Josh... I’m sure Sweetie Belle will love the cake I bought her!”
“So what time is the party?”
“I say at 6:30 is the right time.”
“Ok then... anything I can do to help around here?”
“Actually... Can you go find Sweetie Belle for me?”
“Sure... do you know where she is?”
“I think she’s up in that tree house with her friends at Sweet Apple Acres, doing there cutie mark crusaders stuff.”
As I arrived at Sweet Apple Acres, I didn't know where to start looking for the crusaders. So I decided to ask AppleJack for help, as I knocked on the door Applejack was there to answer it.
“Howdy Josh! Why don't you come in?” I stepped inside, and sit on the couch.
Applejack than brought two glasses of Apple Juice and asked.
“So,... what brings you here sugar cube?” I took a sip of the drink and replied.
“I was wondering if you know where the crusaders hangout is?” She smiled and got up.
“Why don't you say so? I'll take you there!”
I followed Applejack letting her lead me to the tree fort, in the mean time I asked to kill some time “So... How’s the Apple business?”
She throw me a kind look over her shoulder and answered kindly “Quite fine... thanks for asking.”
Applejack than asked me a rather odd question. “So... you and Rainbow huh?... Quite the lover boy ain't ya!?”
She joked around a bit until I replied “... yeah... Laugh it up Applejack...”
“Easy now partner... I’m just pushing ya around hehe.”
“Alright... but just go easy on the jokes.”
“If you say so Sugar Cube.”
After that small chat, we then arrived at the tree house and I gotta say... pretty nice looking tree house!
Taking my time I than climbed the ramp leading up to the three house.
As I got in front of the door, I said to myself.
Guess I should make the right introduction to them.. but wait! I already did that with everypony on stage! But then again. These filly’s never met a human up close before!.But I promised Rarity that I'll go find her little sister for the party.

I knocked on the door a couple times and waited. The door opened, slowly and Apple Bloom's head peeped out.
“Yep, that’s me alright.”
“Well, what brings you here, Mr Josh?”
“Please just call me Josh, MR Josh was my father...”
I stood in silence as I said farther and started thinking about him. Even if I try not to,
“Ya Applebloom. I’m fine....”
“Uhm, can I help you with something?”
I snapped out of it. “um YES!, Is Sweetie Belle there?” She turned around looking back and said “Be right back!”
I heard talking inside and finally Sweetie Belle came out.“Hi Josh!, My sister told me so much about you!”.
“Well, thats good to hear... listen... you wanna walk back to Rarity's?”
“Uhm... Why?”
Better think of something... don't wanna spoil the surprise!
“cauuuussssee....Rarity needs your help to choose which clothes are better looking!...”
She looked at me like 'are you serious?!...' and said “Are you serious?... THAT’S why she wants me home?”
I nodded and lucky me, she sighed “Fine!... but can I say goodbye to my friends first?”
So I shrugged and she went back inside for a couple of moments and the other two crusaders came out.
“Do you mind if my friends come too?”
“I don't see why not.”
“Sweet!”
While walking we had an nice little conversation.

“Balloons?” Said Twilight while Checking a list of Birthday requirements.
“Check!” said Pinkie
“Streamers?”
“Check!”
“Cake”
“Check!”
“..the”
“Check, check, check, check, and... CHECK!!!”
“Well, I guess that's everything for the party!” As Twilight finished her list, she noticed Rainbow Dash getting a little lonely.
“Nah, It’s just that I’m waiting for Josh to get back and...”
“Rainbow... are you being needy?!”
She blushes and tries to defuses “WHAT?!? NO!!!~~~, It’s just that he's my Coltfriend now and I wanna spend some time with him that all!”
Twilight smiles while rolling her eyes and got the last word “whatever you say Rainbow.”
When she and Rainbow got too the rest of the group, Pinkie shout out. “Ok everypony! Get into place’s, Josh is gonna bring sweetie belle here at any moment!... HIDE!!!”
Everypony started to hide under places and such, while waited for Sweetie Belle’s arrival.
“Shh!..I think I hear them!”

“So... what you're saying is that humans live on technology?” says Scootaloo
“Yep.”
“That’s... AWESOME!”
We arrived at Rarity's and I slowly opened the door. I prepared myself for what was about to happen.
“Happy Birthday Sweetie Belle!!!”
The Lights got on and everypony jumped out to surprise Sweetie Belle. The little Marsh mellow filly smiled with joy.
“Well DUH!. It’s your birthday today!”
Sweetie Belle couldn't help but smile wide “Thank you so much for doing this for me!”,
“Hehe It wasn't me who thought of this idea! It was your sister Rarity!” said Pinkie pointing her hoof at the named ashen mare.
Sweetie Belle approached her sister giving her a hug. “Thanks sis!” Rarity hugged her back and replied “Anything for my charming little sister!”
“ARE WE GOTTA START THIS PARTY OR WHAT?!?” yelled Rainbow Dash. Everypony chuckled with Rainbow being impatient and started the party.
The party was like a normal little kid party, pin the tail on the donk... pony, and cake and what not. As I was chilling next to the punch I notice Rainbow waving me over.
So I poured two drinks and walked towards her. Giving her the punch I said,
“Thought you might be thirsty.”
“Thanks.”
I sat next to her and we watched everypony having a good time. I felt awkward not saying anything to my girlfriend... or rather marefriend you call it here. I poked her shoulder and said.
“So...”
“So... ?” Rainbow replied...
“How you enjoying the party so far?” She looked at me confused “Fine... ” I decided to randomly kiss her on the cheek and said “ 'love you.” She tried not to blush, but then kissed me back on the cheek and reply.
“love you more” she said.
“love you infinitely!” I said in cocky attitude
“I love you DOUBLE infinitely!!” she raised her voice.
“...love you triple infinitely” She then tackled me and we started fighting awkwardly... it seemed more like a fight you do with your best friend or something. She pinned me down on the floor and said.
“I win!”
We stared into each other eye’s and Dash seemed to blush a bit, slowly we started to move our face’s closer to each other to kiss.
But carefully I took a look beside me and saw the gang looking at us with disgust.
“It’s cute that you two are having fun... but I should remind that there are little ones here!” said Apple Jack.
After that little awkward moment we continued the party, I got up and Dash said slightly more blushing. “Remind me not to make out with you in public.” I nodded and joined the gang. As the party was over, the others went home to do their own thing.
It was just me, Dash and Twilight walking back to Twilights house. Arriving there I said to Dash.
“I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Ok... just don’t forget that promise.”
“I promise that tomorrow will just be; about you..and me.”
She smiled and locked me in a nice, soft kiss. We stared into one another eyes with her hooves around my neck. She then flew off while looking back at me grinning. As I went inside, I saw Twilight giving me this smirk.
“Did you enjoy your goodbye, Romero?”
“Don’t worry Twilight, one day that’s gonna be you!” I said teasing her.
She frowned a bit and looked down, I figured that no stallion ever asked her out on a date...
Great! Now I feel like a jerk... now I gotta fix this. I asked her “Twilight... Is something wrong?” She looked at me and said “It’s just... that... that no stallion really found me attractive... let alone asked me out.”
Those tears... breaking my heart... I feel sorry for her.
I dive in and gave her the biggest hug I can give her. Stroking her mane I said “Twilight... you're pretty, funny, and smart... every stallion would be a lucky one, to be with you!”
I broke off the hug and said to her. “Love finds a way Twilight... love finds a way.”
Sniffing she asks” Why are you so nice to me?”
“Because my mother always told me, when I was little, to make friend’s... be REALLY nice to them.”
She began to cry a little bit and hugged me very tight that it would nearly crush my rib’s. 'Gaaah!, Feel’s like Pinkie's hug!!!'... This went on for a good minute till she broke off the hug and said “Josh... I’m glad that I met you. Your one of the best friends a pony can ask for.”
After the whole emotion. I went to the kitchen and grabbed a drink of water from the tap.
While I was drinking from my cup I heard a large smashing noise coming from upstairs. I ran upstairs and went into the guest room to find the bed completely broken.
I see Twilight sitting there with a book and she says.
“I accidentally practiced a spell and it broke your bed...” She said... trying to act all incident.
“Uhm that’s ok. I guess I’ll sleep on the floor then...”
“Nonsense, you can sleep in my bed!”
“Uhm Twilight, I’m not sure if that sound’s...”
“I won't take no for an answer!”
I shrugged and decided to go with it. I went into her bedroom and saw Spike already asleep. I took my shirt off and my jean’s... and I felt like somepony was watching me. I looked over and saw Twilight on her bed blushing like mad, she then asked.
“...What are you doing?”
“I should let you know, that I like sleeping in my boxers.”
“Well, ok then.”
I crawled into her bed and tucked myself in... and let my left foot stick out of the bed... I’m pretty sure everyone sleeps like that. I closed my eyes and headed to sleep.
I woke up 30 minutes later and felt something furry on my chest I turned to the right and saw Twilight cuddling me. It’s cute but I don’t want Dash to get the wrong idea. I poked her a couple times to wake her up. She slowly opened her eyes and said.
“What is it.”
“Uhm Twilight... you're cuddling me...”
“... I know.” She said with a small blush.
“And I feel a bit uncomfortable... ”
“...so?”
“So... you should stop”
She then gave me a puppy dog look and replied “please..”. I sigh and could NOT take that look anymore... guess that’s my weakness for now. “Fine... but only for tonight.” Twilight happily wrapped her hooves around me and cuddling me like a teddy bear. She had her head on my chest and said “Goodnight Josh.”
“..night Twilight.”
I looked up at the ceiling and drifted off to sleep... I then thought to myself.
Wonder what tomorrow is gonna bring?.

sorry for the short chapter but like I said in my blog..Chapters are gonna be around 1000 words at least..due to a lot of stuff going on...just read the blog -_-.

I woke up as usual,...except Twilight was still cuddling me.I moved her a bit to wake her up, slowly she opened her eyes and yawned.
“Wha-what is it?” It took her the shortest of times to realize that she was still cuddling with me, which made her blush and got up.
“S-sorry...”
“That’s ok Twilight. I didn't know I made a good pillow.” I teased her.
“Very funny. So... want breakfast?”
“Yes, please.”
So we had our usual breakfast, with buttered toast and eggs, as usual.Turning to the assumed little chef I said, “Nice cooking Spike!”
Spike swallowed a bite of toast and replied “It wasn't me that cooked... it was Twilight!”
I turned to her “Really now?”
“I just thought it would be nice, for me to cook for a change.”
“Well, you did a fine job Twilight!”
She blushed on my compliment and continued eating.As I finished my breakfast, I took a seat on the couch waiting for Dash to show up.Twilight sat next to me, trying to avoid looking at me.
“Uhm Twilight... Is everything ok?”
Slowly she looked at me with a light smile and said.
“I just wanted to thank you, for what you said last night.”
“...No problem Twilight. If you ever need someone to talk to... just let me know!”
I messed her hair up a bit to cheer her up. Right than she then moved closer to me, which started to get uncomfortable.
“Look Twilight, I know you like in that way, but I’m already involved with Rainbow.”
She looked at me confused and replied “What are you speaking about?”
“Twilight... I know you have a crush on me, but... it has to stop!”
She just stared at me blankly for a moment... and then started laughing like hell.
Why was she laughing?!
As she finally calmed down, she said. “I don't have a crush on you, Josh!”I looked dumbfounded and replied.
“You don’t?... Then what was the cuddling, and the blushing and wreaking my bed for?!”
“Well the bed thing was just so I can cuddle you... but you're like a big brother to me. My brother Shining Armour used to let me cuddle with him when I was little, scared or lonely!”
Cuddling with your brother?... weird... but sweet.
“So ya, maybe I flirted with you, But its like a best friend flirting...”
I took Twilight’s word for it and replied
“I guess you're right Twilight, sorry for mistaking this whole thing.”
“No problem... anyway when is Rainbow gonna show up?”
“Well I didn't really told her what time... I guess-”
All of a sudden there was a knock on the door and I opened it. It was Rainbow Dash with a bright smile on her face.
“Hey Josh!, Ready for the best date ever!” I smiled and replied
“You bet I’m ready to spend time with my favorite marefriend!” We gave each other a quick kiss and head off to the park.We had a picnic in the park with some pie and apples.It was a perfect day for a picnic!
While relaxing on the ground I saw Rainbow curled up beside me and said “I’m glad that we can spend more time together.”
I wrapped my left arm around her and replied “me too Dash..me too”.
After the picnic we decided to go on a nice walk around Ponyville. I noticed, most ponies looking at us, figuring if we are together... which we are.But, I figured, I should let the town figure it out themselves.We arrived at Sugar-cube-corner and noticed Pinkie at the counter.
“There’s the cute couple! What can I get you two?!?”
I stepped for “We would like two chocolate shakes, please.”
“Okie dokie!”
So we picked a table and sat down.We looked at each others eyes while waiting for our drinks. I spoke “So... hows your special day so far?...” She smiled and replied
“It’s awesome!” She blushed and got closer to me, to suddenly steal a kiss…
“HEY GUY’S! Here are your milkshakes!”
The total buzzkill...
“Thanks Pinkie.” said Dash.
We both started drinking our shakes, shortly after Dash said
“Remember, we had our first date here...” I chuckled at that comment and pointed out
“Technically it was for science... but I guess so.”
We share our conversations and laugh at them.After we finished up, I left the bits on the counter and we head outside.
She stopped for a moment and turned to me with a seductive look, while leaning in close to me and whispered in my ear.
“Let’s head to my place. I wanna show you something...” What she said made my spine chill.
Nervously I replied “I... don’t know how I can g-get up in your cloud house, if I can’t f-fly.”
She taped her hoof to her mouth, a quite cute thinking gesture, thought about it and then replied “I’ll be right back.”
A few seconds later I see a puffy cloud moving towards me and notice Dash lowering it.
She said “Get on!” I looked at it and than gave Dash a look that say’s ‘Are you serious?!’
She sighed and said “Trust me... It will work... ” Then, to tease me a bit, she got close to my face and started making a sad face.“ You do trust me... do you?”
“...Of course Dash... I trust you with all my heart.”
Next thing I know, I hopped on and quickly Rainbow lifted the cloud.I looked down and saw a good view of the village and the pony’s look like ants.As we arrived, I notice her cloud house, it was impressive and I said “This place looks amazing! It’s like a mansion!” She blushed and replied.
“Well, I wouldn't say mansion.”
“Well, but it does!”
“Just wait till you see the inside.”
When I followed her inside, I saw that everything was made of clouds... well maybe not everything, but still pretty amazing.
Step by step, I walked up the cloudy stairs and in front of her room.
And so I entered her room, I couldn't tell where she was, until she said to me from somewhere. “Relax on the bed babe, I’ll be right out.” I sat on the couch and watched the bathroom door.
What is she doing in there?!... Is she doing what I think she’s doing?!...Or is she gonna dress all sexy for me and have her way with me?!...No..it can’t be!... Just play cool Josh!...You can do it... whatever she’s about to do... you need to be there for her.
After a minute waiting, she asked me in a seductive voice “Ready Babe!... You're gonna like what you see…” I braced myself for what was gonna happen.
The door slowly opened and when I saw Dash she was holding... HOLDING!...
A book…
She started laughing hard and said “I got you good! HAHAHA!” This was the second time I thought I was gonna get raped... She then stopped laughing and sat next to me... she showed me the cover of the book.
“This is the new issue of Daring Doo!”
“Cool... Why do you wanna show me this?”
“I was wondering... If you wanna... read it to me.” She said while trying to hide her blush from me.
I looked at her with a confused look and replied “how come, you want me to read it?..” She then sighed and answered my question.
“I was wondering if you could read it to me, while I lay on your lap, while you stroke my mane..”
“..........Ok then, Just get comfy and I’ll start reading.”
She smiled and laid on my lap while I opened the book to the first Chapter.She looks so cute when she’s so relaxed... I then began reading the first Chapter to my favorite pony in the whole world... Rainbow Dash.
“Ok, Chapter one.’Daring Doo and the legendary skull’. Daring Doo started her adventure with-”
When I finished the book, I noticed Dash half asleep.
I swear. to. GOD! This made me wanna have a heart attack of adorableness!
I then scooted over next to her and decided to have a little nap.
Today is the best day of my life!... I couldn't be happier.
I felt Dash’s head on my chest, which putted a big smile on my face.So I placed my hand on her mane and continue my nap.
Fire!...I need to warn somepony!.
“Help us!”
I heard a noise coming from the forest, discovering that somepony was in trouble!So I tried getting down but couldn't... so I use the same cloud Dash used to lift me up.I moved it and the cloud gently moved down... Wish it can go faster!
When I enter the woods it was hard to breath, due to the smoke.
Luckily the tree wasn't on fire... yet.I rushed towards them and tried lifting the tree up. “C'mon Josh! You can do it” said Scootaloo. I then decided to move the end of the tree and moving it.Luckily, it worked!
“Why aren't you moving?!”
“I can't move my left forehoof.”
Shit! She probably broke her hoof. Time for plan A!
I then lifted her up and carried her, we both tried to find our way out of here... I just hope we make it out alive.
*Third Pony View*
Everypony was outside the forest watching the fire in horror. The group were together with worries. They then notice Applebloom and Sweetie Belle running out of the forest.Applejack and Rarity rushed towards them and hugged them.
“Applebloom!, Thank goodness you're ok!”
“Sweetie Belle don't scare me like that!... I was SO worried”
Now they notice Scootaloo wasn't with them.
Applejack said “Where’s Scootaloo?!” The two turned to each other and had worried looks.
“We don’t know..she must be still in there with Josh” Sweetie Belle said.
“JOSH!” yelled the rest of the group, except for Rainbow Dash.
“We gotta do something!” said Apple Jack.
“There is nothing we can do... we just have to wait and see...” Said Twilight and thought to herself. C'mon Josh!... Get out of there while you still can!
*Josh’s Point of View*
I had a hard time breathing while still trying to find a way out of here.Right in the last moment I notice an open path and saw some light. I knew this would be our ticket out of here.So I walked as fast as I could while holding Scootaloo. As I got close to the exit I notice a big tree branch falling on to me. In an reflex I threw Scootaloo out of the way so she can escape.
The branch felled on me and it hurt like a hell!I tried moving it but, it was burning already.
As I left the forest, I notice everypony staring at me, Then one pony clapped for me, then another, then another, then the whole town clapped for me for my bravery.
I smiled a bit for what I did... but I than looked on my hands to see a bit of blood.Immediately I started to feel dizzy and everything started to feel like a blur. I felt down on the ground and looked up at the blue sky.
I tried to stay awake but my eyes were half shut...
I heard one of the pony's yelling “He’s hurt!.” and another saying “Take him to the hospital!”.
Now I see nothing but black... Complete blackness.

Good New's: I have better luck writing each Chapter a 1000 words long or more.. so It doesn't take that long to wait...depending if I have the right time.
Bad New's: School starts Wednesday..But its my last year in high school. so i'm looking forward into it. But it MIGHT slow down my writing.
“Wake up Josh.”
I heard somepony calling my name, but who?
“Josh...”
Slowly my eyes opened and there I saw, a pony figure standing in front of me.Still, I wasn't sure who it was.
“C'mon Josh... wake up”
Now my vision become more clear and I saw who was in front of me.
“Luna?”
“Yes Josh it is I.”
“W-Where am I?...Am I dead!” I said in agitation .
“Fear not, for that you're not dead..but unconscious.”
“Unconscious?!”
I wasn't surprised, that I was unconscious was at least to be expected.I saved the Crusaders and myself... but all that smoke that went into my lungs was ass!...And the burning tree that landed on me must have crushed my ribs, so... yeah I'm some resilient bastard...
“So, why am I here Luna?”
“I am here to let you know that you are a very brave boy! I heard about what happened to you and I thought I should come visit you in your dreams.”
“Well...thanks”
“And for what you did, my sister and I want to reward you with-”
“Aaaaaand... I’m just gonna stop you right there!... I don't need anything from anypony!”
“And why is that Josh?”
“Cause I believe a big thanks is enough to save innocent lives.”
Luna smiled and replied “Very well Josh.”
I felt great for saving their lives, but couldn't help but feel guilty for Rainbow dash.I went into complete danger to save them, who knows how terrified she is so. I asked Luna.
“So, Luna... when will I ever wake up from this?”
“I say, right about...” She raises her hoof and slightly tilts her head...“Now!”
I was confused, but the next thing I know everything went into complete blackness... again.
*Third pony view*
“Will he be ok doctor?” said Twilight.
“I’m not sure... we just have to wait and see”
The whole group, off cause including Rainbow Dash, were next to the hospital bed, waiting for Josh to wake up.Rainbow stood there, trying her best not to cry, whispering to herself “C’mon Josh... wake up” over and over again.But there, the spirits left her and so she put her head on his left shoulder and cried
“Please wake up Josh... please!”
Applejack grabbed a hold of Rainbow and put her hoof around her.
“I know, this must be hard for you Rainbow... but there's nothing we can do... we just have to wait and see”
“LOOK!” yelled Pinkie.
“His eyes are opening!!!” said Spike as he pointed at Josh.
*Josh’s Point of view*
Slowly, I opened my eyes and my vision came back to me.And there I saw my friends, standing by me, were they really worried about me?!...I’m glad I have them in my life now.Suddenly I felt my ribs crushed, when Pinkie hugged me as hard as she can.
“Joshy!!! You're alive!!!”
“P-pin-kie!... A-AIR!”
She notice, lucky me, that I couldn't breath and let go of me immediately.
“I’m so sorry, Josh!.”
I breathed to catch my air to reply “No worries Pinkie, all is forgiven... anyway, What happened to me?!” I saw the pony doctor taking a step closer to me and so he said.
“Well Josh, you suffered from bad burns on your hands and chest... but there not too bad... and you have a couple of bruised ribs... I say you should stay at the hospital for... a day or two at least”.
“Two days!?!”
“No, I said 'maybe a day or two'.”
I was a bit bummed out that I have to stay in this hospital for two days at least.What would I do during my time here? While I was thinking over this, I notice a gentle hoof touch my shoulder, looking up to see who it was, I saw Rainbow… The others looked at each other and Applejack decided to take the word and said.
“Well, I say we should leave these two lovebirds alone.”
And so, with no objections, the others leaved even including the doctor. it was just me and Dash... alone.I figured she would be upset with me, leaving her alone, while I was in the fire.Thanks to all gods she didn't look too mad, but looked at me with disappointment.Then... something quite unexpected happen, she slapped me and said.
“THAT’S for putting yourself in danger!”
I rubbed my cheek, she is pretty strong I have to say, then Dash came closer to me, so we where face too face and whispered.
“And THIS... is for saving Scootaloo!”
She connected her lips with my lips in a passionate kiss, involving tongue and passionate moaning... but a light kiss, nonetheless.
As we stopped she hugged me and whispered “I’m glad your ok... I don't know what I would do if you ha-” I broke the hug, looked her right in her eyes and said,
“I’ll never leave you Dash, I promise!”
“ ...Pinkie promise?”
“Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.”
Dash then snuggled her head on my chest and cuddled with me, on this, now oh so far more relaxing, hospital bed.
“Hey uhm Josh... I gotta get going for my studies, I’ll come visit you later.”
Apple Jack stepped for taking of her hat.
“I gotta go to work sugar cube, Apple Trees don’t buck themselves you know, see ya later.”
“I n-need to take care of my animal friends. I’ll come visit you though!” said Fluttershy.
“I need to watch the store while Mr. and Ms. Cake are out!” Pinkie explained.
“I've gotta finish some designs for some special clothing... I shall return soon Josh!” announced Rarity.
And so, the group left me and Dash were once more alone. My lovely cyan Mare spend the rest of the day with me, she read to me, help me eat and she even had some jokes to make me laugh.As night struck, nurse Redheart came in and exclaimed.
“Ok you two, visiting hours are over, time to part for now!”
The saddest of all looks conquered Dash's face, so she turned to me with “I don’t wanna leave you!” I stroked her mane and replied “You'll see me tomorrow, I promise I’m not going anywhere!”
She give me mockingly whimpering the biggest puppy dog eyes possible, so I had to avoid her eyes, right in the moment I looked away Dash gave me a quick pack on the cheek and headed her way to the door.Showing of, she turned to me once more and smiled at first, slowly the smile merging with an hidden smirk.I smiled back, waving to her.
“Wake up sweetie!”
I woke up to see my mom, waking me up for school.She was a bundle of joy, she was the best mother a son can ask for!I changed my clothes and headed downstairs where I entered the kitchen to see my dad reading the local newspaper.He put the paper down and said.
“Breakfast is ready Josh, dig in.”
My mom placed a plate on the table with bacon, eggs, and a pancake and orange juice too.She give me a kiss on the cheek and smiled down at me.
“Enjoy sweetheart!”
She rubbed my head while I eat. Then she went beside dad and give him a kiss on the cheek too.As we finished our breakfast, I helped mom with the dishes and got my book bag for school.My dad walked me to the school bus and my mom waved to me on the doorstep.I notice her coughing and went back inside the house.When I arrived in front of the House I turned to my dad and asked him.
“Is mommy sick?”
“... Ya Josh, mommy’s sick... she’s really sick, but don’t worry I'll take care of her. You just go to school and learn.”
He had a blank expression on his face, knowing something is wrong with mom. But not to worry my dad to much I decided to head to the bus anyway.
“HEY JOSH!”
I looked around to see who was calling my name and noticed a kid waving to me... it was Jake... my best pal.I smiled and walked towards the seat he was sitting.I sat beside him and asked “Hey Jake, how was morning for you?”
He shrugged and answered “It was morning.”
We talked while the bus was driving us to the elementary school.And so we talked about what we want to be when we grow up, Jake wanted to be a writer. As he asked me what I wanted to be I replied.
“...I want to be...a firefighter!”
Jake asked “How come?”
To which I explained “I want to put out fire and rescue people! So if one of my parents are caught in a fire I’ll save them!!!” As the bus arrived at the school, we hopped out and talked more, mostly about random things, while we headed to class. First was English and it was a normal school day.
“Can Josh Miller please come down to the office?“
I left class and headed to the office.When I arrived the office lady said it was a call from home... it was an emergency. I picked up the phone and answered.
“Hello.“
“Josh... this is your dad. You need to come home, now.“
“Why?“
“Cause your mom had gotten worse and needs to go to the hospital.“
“M-mommy?“
I woke up, in sweat and rubbed my face… “WOW! What a nightmare!“
Still confused I looked at the clock and saw it was 9:00 am.To avoid depressing thoughts I tried not to remember that dream.
Besides I wasn't hungry... due to that nightmare… why did I dreamed about it... why?

It’s been one day at the hospital and I was already bored outta of my mind...It was nice of the girls to come visit, once in a while.
Even though I’m still not comfortable about the whole pony and human dating thing, slowly I’m getting use to it.
I woke up with the sun light in my eye and turned to Dash who was still cuddling me. Her multicolored mane laid spread over my shoulder, head resting on my chest and her cerulean body was close to mine. I leaned the slightest bit up and looked around to see the clock. 9:48 am and I decided to slowly get up. Problem was, Dash wouldn't move.
“Dash... Wake up.” I whispered.
Slowly she opened her eyes and smiled sleepily. I swear, her morning look is the most cutest thing I've ever seen. “Morning handsome.” She said, smirking. I smiled back, brushed a bit of her mane by side from her eyes and kissed her on the forehead.
I got up and grabbed my cane next to me, so I could walk to the bathroom.After I washed my hands in the sink and did all that what you do in an bathroom in the morning.I found Dash beside a doctor, having a big smile on her face, so I was curious what the doctor had to say.
“Good news Josh, you made a good recovery so far, even better than that you made an full recovery and you can leave the hospital today!”
FINALLY!!!
“What time am I leaving today?” I asked excitedly.
“How about, right now?” He replied.
I went back to the room to grab some of the things I let there and changed back into my clothes. After that Dash and me went into the lobby only to find the doctor waiting for me.
“OK Josh, You still have to use this cane for the rest of the day at least, After that you will be fine to try it without it.”.
Damn it.
So I took the cane from the doctor and made my way out. My cerulean mare and me walked together around Ponyville.
“Heeey Twiliiight!, somepony is here to see youuu!” Said Dash playfully.
Twilight turned around and her eyes were wide opened when she saw me, being back from the hospital.She ran towards me and gave me the biggest hug. Her hug’s are almost as painfully crushing as Pinkie’s, dear god this mare has strength!
“OH GOODY YOUR BACK! WE MISS YOU SO MUCH, I STARTED TO WORRY!” she said... or rather nearly screamed... next to my ear..., she really was happy to see me out of the hospital.
I chuckled and said “You were worried?” She blushed and said “Ahm..., why wouldn't I? You're my best friend Josh!” She broke up the hug and continued.
“Oh I forgot!, We should remind Pinkie to throw you a p-”
“DID SOMEPONY SAY PARTY?!?” an exited Pinkie-Pie-out-of-the-box cut Twilight off.
She was about to say party... till you pop out of nowhere... oh well it’s pinkie pie.
“Hey Pinkie!, how are you?” I asked Pinkie in order to distract her a little bit...
“Oh I'm fine Josh, but what about you?, are you OK?!” inquired Pinkie in a concerned voice.
“I’m better than fine Pinkie, doctor said I made a FULL recovery, I just have to walk around with this cane for the day.”
She smiled and replied “okie doki!” She then stormed off to begin the party.I looked at Dash with the slightest hint of an mockingly blank face... and we both started laughing about Pinkie.She’s the kinda friend everyone would like to be friends with… I'll tell you that much!
“Well, it’s good to have you back Josh! Why don't you lay on the couch and relax a bit?” Said Twilight.
I turned to Dash, gave her a quick kiss on her lips and said with a smile “Thanks for staying by my side Dear. We see us later?”
She give a light smile to me with her rosy cheeks and put her hooves around my neck for a passionate kiss.The kiss lasted for a few moments and I decide to break it, since Twilight was RIGHT in front of us. Well awkward and stuff…
“Bye, I’ll see ya around.” Dash jumped up and flew off.
I slowly turned to Twilight who was looking at me weird. “That was...interesting. It’s nice to know your making Rainbow happy.” I blushed and replied “Well, I guess that's what I do, making people happy... and ponies too”.
I laid on the couch, while I had placed my cane beside me. As I relax I saw how Twilight got me a glass of water. She walked towards me and levitating the glass gently on the table. After a short moment of hollow staring at the glass on my part, I grabbed it, hold it in hand for an heart bear and drunk. I notice Twilight watching me drink with a smile.
“What?” I asked.
“If you need anything else, just let me know, OK?” said Twilight in an gentle voice. The littlest of deviant thoughts entered my mind, with the subtlest hint of an smile I stated.
“Thanks Twilight. You know... I do not understand why you're still single. Your a mare every stallion would ask for!”
Blushing Twilight replied “Oh stop, I'm not that special!” I straitened a bit up and scolded her.
“Twilight, You are special! Do not let anypony tell you otherwise!” She looked at me with her violet eyes, an glimmering in them and moved closely... to me. I may have pushed it...
She then quickly gave me a kiss on the cheek, I turned red after it and being quiet for a moment.“That was the nicest thing anypony have said to me, thank you.”Twilight got up, walking away, continue her studies. I sat there, kinda dumbfounded from that little kiss, I placed my hand on my cheek saying to myself.
“Am I really that nice to mare’s?!”
After a few hours of rest, Twilight and I got ready for pinkies ‘All better now’ party. As we head outside, It was nice to see everyponys faces again, some even waved at me.I’m was surprised, they excepted me already. As we got to Pinkie's, I saw the rest of the group there already partying.
“JOSH!!!” yelled the pink party pony, Pinky Pie.
She ran towards me and gave me a crushing hug. Is something like that gonna happen all night long?! “Woah there Pinkie, we don’t want our friend winding up in hospital again!” Warned Applejack jokingly. She finally let go of me and said.
“Sorry Joshie!” after the whole hugging, I started partying with the gang.
I start bobbing for apples with Applejack, some how she beats me every round. Pinkie and I played one beat the tale on the pony. I admit, some of her party’s are more for children... but hey, I don't wanna be a party pooper. Me and Twilight talk about my world a little and her world as well. After the nice little chat, Rarity wanted to talk with me about what human cloths are like, I didn't felt like talking about it, I just explained a little. After, I notice Spike looking at me with a dirty look telling tales about how he would like to hurt me right now... physically.
Poor little guy, thinks probably I'm hitting on his crush… I better reason with him.
So I walked over to Spike with a smile “Hey Spike, how you liking the party?”
“It’s Ok, I guess…” His gaze jumps, turning from warning to death glare “Look buddy, you better not try to steal Rarity from me…” He said in a harsh matter.
Both hands raising in defense I replied.
“I’m not doing anything Spike, I promise you, she’s not my type and remember, I’m dating Rainbow Dash.”
“Oh... ya, I forgot. Sorry that I acted like that.”
“Don’t worry about it, I use to be like that when I had a crush.”
“Really?!”
“Ya... besides... I think you have a shot with Rarity anyway.”
“Y-you really think so!”
So I gave him a light buddy punch to his arm and replied “I know so!”
After the talk with Spike, I heard Pinkie had put on a slow dance song, I noticed Dash standing by the punch, talking to Applejack.
“Cmon Rainbow, dance with your lover!” AJ said teasingly.
“But I... I don't know how to dance... well.” lowering her gaze sadly, so I decide to teach her how to dance.
“R-really?” She looked up, a hint of awe and a mixture of happiness and astounding written on her face.
I smiled at her“What kind of boyfriend would I be, if I would not?”
So said, I took her hoof in hand and we walked to the dance floor.
“Now Rainbow, put both your fore hoofs around my neck and I will put both my hands on your hip.”
And so we got into out positions, she looked up to me with an smirk and said “No funny business big guy!” I chuckled on her comment and replied with a smile.
“Trust me, I won't... right now at least.” It is interesting to see how a pony ears are flushing before the ponies cheeks do...
Rainbow put her head on my chest and whispered “Thanks for showing me how to dance...”
I kissed her on her forehead and replied “It was nothing, just though you could learn something from me and hey, my pleasure.”
This brief moment, it was magical, time slowed to an hold, eternal silence engulfed us disturbed only by two hearts in sync.
“Josh... you're the most wonderful human I know, I... I love you.”
“I love you too Dash... with all my heart.”
My head lowered down to hers, feeling her warmth on my cheeks, hovering closely before her lips, offering the briefest of touches to her lips, just a little nudge, waiting, leaving the rest for her.
More warmth, heat even, from us both, together, a moment of utterly nothing, And suddenly a deep, everything overwhelming kiss, an sensation like the freedom of the stars and the burning warmth of the sun it self, my heart decided to keep silence for a little while,to skip a beet and rush after that with full force.
Her tongue danced around in my mouth, which felt somewhat gross... but felt right at the same time.It was a bit too overwhelming for me, in stunned silence, so to say, I let her reign free over my tongue, at least, for a while, before my tongue started its dance with hers. Pleasant warmth became burning heat, two started to became one. Where started the Pony and where ended the Man?
“Do you REALLY have to go? We can still party a little longer!” Pinkie bargained. So I yawned demonstratively and relied.
“Pinkie, as much as I want to party all day long, I’m just too exhausted right now.”
“Well... Ok then, I hope you feel better soon, Bye you three!” said Pinkie, as she closed the door behind us.
So we walked back to Twilight’s, Me and Dash talked about how much fun the party was.Twilight than told me about the history of Equestria. Well, most of it. And so we arrived, Dash was upset that she had to go home tonight. With an small, of slight disappointment speaking face, Dash said.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, right?”
“For sure Dash!”
Twilight then spoke up “You know, you don’t have to go home Rainbow... Won't you want to sleep over here for tonight?”
“I don’t know Twilight... I don't want to intrude.”
“Nonsense, it will be fun!”
I placed my arm around her and said “Come on Dash!” turning my voice down to an whisper “...I could use the extra company.”
She stared for a brief moment and started to blush, ears first followed by her cheeks, gaze jumping around, avoiding to look at me at first, noticing that she instead stared at Twilight, casting her gaze down to avoid any further eye contact.
A moment of silence and so Dash replied “You know what! I’m down for that!”
In reply I kissed her cheek “That’s my Dashie!”
So we had a sleepover just we three, but we didn't do much.We told each other ghost stories and had a little pillow fight... that was about it. We called it a night than and so we headed to bed, for real this time. But there where only two beds in the tree house and I don't mind sharing one with Dash.
“Night Dash, sweet dreams.”
“You too, Josh.”
She cuddled onto me, like she did in the hospital, placing her head on my chest like on an pillow.Dash is irresistible cute when she sleep’s like that.Carefully, I stroked her head, till she was asleep. I kissed her on her head and whispered into her ear.
“I love you.”
Finally out of the hospital and back home where I belong... I just hope I will stay here as long as I can.
Jake, if you're still alive somewhere... I hope you're Ok.

Chapter 14 everybody!, sorry for the wait, but you know...school and life. Don't get your hope's up on Chapters releasing too soon, I still need to focus on other stuff in my life, mostly school. And I became interest using adobe flash, and planning on making cartoon's. I'm no artist, but practice makes perfect. So I'll still be focusing on this story, but I want to try out new thing's in life too...So the story will STILL be on hiatus. for now at least till I graduate, then I can have the free time in my life to do writing and junk.

Morning, and sun light in my face.
“Dash, ..." I whisper "... Wake up.”
Smiling at first, she let her eyes flutter open, her gaze sleepily seeking mine. And there she just made my morning.
Like the athlete she is, Dash got up like only she, or cats, can and stretched a bit in front of me. I felt a little uncomfortable, since she was raising her flank in front of me, technically giving me a teasing show of her, without actually teasing me...
“You think you can take that somewhere else… maybe?”
She smirked and thought about it “hmmm….Nope!”
Sticking her tongue at me and getting off my bed and so I got off it as well and did my normal morning stuff.And so I notice, that it seems, that Dash just won't leave my sight. When I brush my teeth, shes right by my side, when I’m eating, she's sitting right next to me smiling at me. Well I don't mind, I really enjoy her company but, I feel like I need at least a little more space. After I finished eating, I clean the dishes. While I was drying some plates, I feel Rainbow’s fore hoofs around my hip giving me a hug from behind, so I placed the cloth down and hugged her back.
Whispering she asks “You know how much I love you right…?”
Smiling I replied “Yes Dash... I know.” After the morning clean up, I forgot to wake up Twilight. As I looked at the clock it was 11:04 am. My only thought was 'Welp... She’s gonna kill me!' Dash and I slowly walked up to her room and saw her sleeping, I shoved her a bit and whispered in her ear.
“Twi... wake up”
Nothing.
“It’s time to get Twi, get up!”
still no reaction so far.
“Twi...THE PRINCESS WANTS TO SEE YOU RIGHT AWAY!”
She woke up and fell out of bed, her mane a total mess, trying to stay awake. “What! Where, why?! Where's the princess!?!” Dash and I started laughing at her for her typical over reacting.
Twilight looked at us with a sigh and informed “Reaaaal mature guy’s...”
Snorting Dash tried to excuse “Pffft, sorry Twilight... it’s just... your HAIR!” Dash laughed uncontrollably.Twilight then went to the bathroom to comb her mane, on the way she bumped into Spike, who, at least tried to suppress his laughter... and failed miserably.
“UUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! You guys can be annoying sometimes!” yelled Twilight as she slammed her bathroom door.
It took Twilight 5 minutes to fix her mane before she came back down.She looked at us annoyed. “Look Twi, sorry for the tease.” Twilight smiled a little and replied “That’s ok, I need to wake up anyway, what time is it?”
“11:04... why?” Twilight’s left eye started to twitch, my instincts suddenly told me 'you're screwed man...' “YOU WOKE ME UP LATE!?!” yelled She at us, so Dash tried to calm Twilight down “Jeez Twi, you need to relax!” She turned to Dash and said in an slightly maniacally tone.
“Relax... relax... I woke up late and might be behind my studies... and you want me to RELAX!” Dash rubbed her neck nervously and replied “well... yeah”. The lavender Fury huffed and went to her books.We both looked at each other chuckling, Twilight called in annoyance back too us.
“honestly Josh, you and Rainbow should move together so you two can joke around all you want!”
Dash's eyes went wide, she flew up with excitement and exclaimed “That’s a GREAT idea Twilight! What do you think Josh?!” I shrugged.
“I don't see why not, Twilight you think I can...” but before I even could end my question she interrupted already.
“YES! Please, for the love of Celestia PLEASE go!”
A little harsh but, whatever…
Dash then clung around my neck in excitement and said “This is gonna be SO awesome!”
“I know right! But, I need to pack up my stuff before I move in.”
“Sure thing babe! I’ll come pick you up in 20 minutes, be ready!”
Dash kissed me on my right cheek and flew out. I looked back at Twilight and said “So... you want me out now?”
She placed her book down with her magic and replied to me “I know that sounded harsh, but you know I need my space and can't have any distractions... I hope you aren't mad...” her eyes cast down beyond her books. I walk towards her giving her a hug and whispering “I understand... thanks for letting me stay here for a while... you're my best friend, the best friend a human can ask for in this world Twi.”
She blushed and hugged me back “I know.”
I had packed all my stuff and was ready for Dash to bring a cloud to for me, Twilight was beside me and on the other side was Spike. “You gonna miss me?” I said in a tease. She sigh and replied “A little, but I still got Spike.” She placed her hoof around the little guy and hugged him “Beside, you can come visit anytime... as long as I’m not in the middle of something important...”
I notice Dash moving a cloud just for me. Flying in front of me and said “Hope on Josh!” I hugged Twilight one last time and Spike too of cause. So I sat on the cloud and waved good by to them as Dash moved the cloud to her, rather now our home. As we arrived I placed my cloths in... 'Dash’s room', since she only has one room in here. After packing, I sat on the couch to relax my back. Dash sat next to me and smile, somewhat akin to an pleased cat.
“Josh... thanks for moving in with me... that means a lot to me.” She placed her left wing on my shoulder and laid her head on my other shoulder. I didn't know what to do today, so I asked Dash if she wanted to do something.
“Hey Dash”
“Yes?”
“I was wondering, if I'm living here now, you wanna do anything today?”
She give me a seductive smile and said “Oh, I think I have something we both will enjoy...”
… What does she mean by that?
20 minutes later…
“Come on Josh!, Almost THERE!” Dash moaned
“Oh JEEZ, it’s coming!” I said.
“C’mon HARDER! You can do it!”
I couldn't hold it and we both collapsed on each other. Dash looked at me and said “Wow you're pretty good at this!”
“Thanks but yeah..., I am pretty good at twister, who knew Ponyville has this kind of games, just like the game back on Earth!”
“You know Josh, Earth may sound bad from your point of you, but there must be SOME kind of nice things about it... what do you think of Earth?”
I couldn't come up with an answer, what CAN I say of the things that go on and stuff, Lot’s of crazy shit going on EVERYWHERE and what not! But the only answer I can giver her was this.
“Ehhh… 50/50”
“Really?” she said raising an eyebrow.
“Really; really!” I smiled.
After playing a Game of Twister, we decided to venture outside and see if there would be anything to do. At first, we went to see Applejack and her family, we helped them with apple bucking and plowing. After that we went to Sugarcube-Corner.
“Welcome to Sugarcube-Corner! How may I help-... OW HEY JOSHY AND DASHIE!”
“Hey Pinkie, how's it going?” I asked.
“Oh, you know! Working in the store, serving happy customers with sweets! OH I hear from Applejack that you moved in with Dashie! Congrrats guy’s!”
Dash flew up to pinkie and replied “I know! It’s been fun since he moved in with me!”
Pinkie teased her by saying “Reaaaalllly?! What kind of fun?” She humped her eyebrow at her which made her blush.
“NOT THAT KIND OF FUN PINKIE!” She yelled in embarrassment.
“'Just messing with you, Dashie!” Pinkie giggled.
“So ya Pinkie, what kind of cupcakes do you recommend?” I asked.
“She smiled and point her hoof to the glass “I’m glad you asked Josh! We got-”
She then started naming A LOT of cupcakes, She recommends THIS!, Recommends THAT!,.... this could take awhile. After what seemed forever. I decided to have a strawberry cupcake, while Rainbow had the blueberry cupcake. We sat in the corner for a little privacy and ate together.
“Hey Dash, you know this is the place you and me went on our first date...”
She smiled “Well, it was for science... according to twilight... but yeah.” She blushed and continue eating. The whole day me and Dash spend together.
I decided to visit Lyra and Bon-Bon, it’s been awhile since I visit them. Lyra hugged me tightly and Bon-Bon did that as well. We all had tea and talked about thing’s. They congratulate me and Dash for moving in together. After we took our goodbye’s for now and headed back home.
When we arrived we were tired, we sat on the couch and Dash asked me. “So... what do YOU wanna do?” I thought about and replied “I have no clue.” By now, I feel like a boring boyfriend. Sure, we did stuff today, but I feel like I do a lot. Dash then grinned at me and said.
“...we can make out!”
I smiled and said “Umm, sure why no-” I was caught in a romantic kiss by Dash and kissed her back surprised. We laid on the couch and I let Dash suck my face pretty much. Tongue was included, but nothing too sexual. After 15 minutes of tongue wrestling and smooching, my cyan fathered mare suddenly asked.
“Want some supper?”
I looked at her raising an eyebrow and said teasingly “You cook?” She playfully punched my shoulder “Hey! I can be lazy sometimes, but that doesn't mean I can treat my boyfriend for some dinner, besides, you payed for the cupcakes, now its my turn to treat you for a meal!” She kissed me for a sec and flew off to the kitchen in one powerful stroke of her cyan wings.
While I was waiting for supper I was thinking to myself... about Dash, me, everypony, and dad… I was also thinking about Jake, But I’m not sure if he’s even alive or not. But I try not to thinking about that day, dad died, and the night me and Jake had the car accident. Right now I just wanna focus on life here in Ponyville.
“Come and get it, big guy!” yelled Dash.
I notice Dash made a couple of Salads, I guess she didn't know what else to cook, but ill give her credit for trying. While I was eating I notice her hoof playing hoofies with me. I couldn't help but smile and played with her hoof with my foot as well. You ever heard someone say that ‘love works in a weird ways’ I think this is what they are talking about. Sure dating a pony would be taboo back on earth... BUT that’s the thing... I’m not on earth anymore... So there's nothing wrong with me and Dash being together. Everypony supports us and I feel VERY happy with her.
“Wanna head to bed?” I offer
“Sure” She yawned and stretched a bit. While I was about to head upstairs Dash asked me “Hey Josh...” I turned around And said “Yes, Dash?” She blushed and said.
“I know this might sound girly but... can you carry me to bed?” She crossed her forehoofs and tried so hard not to blush. She's so freaking cute when she smiles...
“Of course Dash.” She flew into my arms and I started carrying her upstairs to OUR room. To be honest she isn't quite as heavy as I expected, well she is an athlete. So I placed her in the bed and she snuggled me.
“Dash, at least let me put the covers on us. don't wanna freeze.”
“Don't care... I’ll keep you warm.”
I decided to let it pass and cuddle her as well. As we were holding each other I realize that life’s been great here, and I don't attend to stop it anytime soon!
'Meanwhile on on Earth'
“Doctor, you may wanna take a look at this!” said a man nurse.
Doctor Jerry walked to him and said “What you got Phil?”
Phil pointed to the paper, It look’s like the patient is getting signals... I believe he’s coming back... but I can't say when though.”
“Ok Phil go get the others and meet me at the patient's room.”
Jerry looked at Josh’s conditions on paper and said to himself “Not sure how, But this kid is one lucky son of a bitch! Just not sure how long it will take for him to wake up... hopefully soon.”

FINALLY! an update for this story. again sorry for the wait but you know..school... but i'm almost done high school!. so expect more chapters when I graduate :)
To wake up felt good this morning, I woke up to a cute Dashie, sleeping on my chest. After getting up and showering, I changed and went downstairs to engage in the tedious task of making breakfast for everypony. For I thought it would be sweet to make Dash breakfast in bed, even though the only thing I truly know how to make, under the given circumstances so far would be butter toad with scrambled eggs. thing is...Dash doesn't own a toaster...or a oven in that matter. So I decided to drop by at the Ponyville diner to bring her breakfast.
As I walked out the diner with breakfast, I bumped into Twilight who was, on a coffee level smiling, wide awake.
“Well good morning Josh!”
“Morning to you too Twi.”
“Why were you at the diner?”
“A little something for Dash.”
I showed her the bag, Smiling she said “That’s really sweet Josh.”
With a sudden blush, I replied slightly nervously smiling “Ar', Thanks.”
After the small talk with Twilight, and a little magic help to float back to Rainbow's house. When I arrived home, I open the bag where our breakfast was and put it on a plate, I then walked upstairs and I walked back into the room me and my winged Cyan shared the one bed. Placing the plate on the table beside the bed, I moved her a bit. “Hey Dash, time to get up,” no movement. Eyes narrowing, I slowly stroked her neck hairs, with just the tips of my fingers, upwards against her hair, clearly knowing that the irritation would force her to wake up, nothing more than a strongly suppressed hint of an smile was all I got.
Nearing her sensitive ear, mouth slightly open, hotly breathing against her slowly reddening ear tips I whispered.
“... breakfast.”
Her eyes popped out and she said “Ok I'm up now!” she yawned and stretched before she started to eating her breakfast in bed.
After Dash's breakfast we went outside to meet up with Twilight. When we arrived at twilight's for a quick visit she noticed us and she said with a smile.
“Well, there’s the happy couple!” Twilight teased.
“There’s the egghead!” I replied in kind.
All snickering about or little teasing, I asked Dash what she had planed for today. Heading to work first was her agenda and right after that she’s going out camping with Applejack and Pinkie.
“Josh, why don't you come with us!” She said with a smile.
“Sure, that sounds like fun!” I replied with excitement.
“But where would I sleep?” I asked, since I don't have any camping equipment with me. Dash, putting her wing around me, gave me the answer.
“Well, you could sleep with me.”
I kinda just looked at my cyan mare with nothing more than a blank stare for several seconds, till she finally blushed and in response, playfully punched me in the arm.
She then said “I didn't mean it like that perv!”
I laughed and said “I know, Dash I’m just messing with ya.” she gave me a feather light kiss on the cheek and took off.
As I arrived she was eating alone at one of her picnic tables, the kind you see at park’s. So I waved to her.
“Afternoon cowgirl!”
She noticed me and with a smile she replied “Why good morning to you too sugercube!”
AJ scooted over to make place for me and invited me “Sit next to me Josh, could use the company.”
I sat next to her and told her everything about, me going to the camp thing, she told me she’s been there before. After the cowgirl told me what we where going to do at the campsite she concludes.
“...and that’s about it, Sugercube! I hope that sounds fun for ya!”
“It sure does AJ! I can’t wait for this, I'd never went camping since I was with my Pa back when I was eleven!”
Applejack gave me a depressed look and said “been that long huh?”
I cast my eyes down at the table and replied “...yeah, I was thinking about going with my dad again... that is until-” I feel her hoof around my left shoulder and rubbing it, she said in a soothing voice. “You don't have to finish that sentence Josh... I know what you mean..”
After this little talk, I took my farewell to Applejack for now and headed on to Pinkie’s. On the way I said hi to some folk’s in Ponyville, as expected there were really friendly to me as well. At the beginning, I was expect ponys to be afraid of me.
“Morning Ms Cake!”
She turned around and smiled, “Oh Hello to you too, dear! If you're looking for Pinkie she’s upstairs playing with gummy!”
Well and so I walked upstairs, saw pictures of the cake family, noticing their babies in the pictures. I was confused about one of the cakes baby being a Pegasus, but Pinkie explained it to me, like that episode when they were born and Pinkie babysit them.
When I got to Pinkie’s room I didn't saw her anywhere, the room was complete empty. I was just wondering if she was ever here? Then I felt a present behind me...

“HEY JOSHY!!!”
"AAAHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Screaming like a little filly, I jumped. And felt on my back placing my left hand on my chest trying to keep my heart in place. Pinkie was right on top of me, close to my face with an excited look and said she said.
“Hey Joshy! How you been doing, I’d hear you're coming with us camping! That’s soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing!!!”
I slowly got up and said “Jeez P-Pinkie! You almost gave me a damn heart attack and… How did you know I was coming camping with your girls?” I wondered at that fact then realized that this is Pinkie I’m talking about and should not bother with questions when it comes to Pinkie’s randomness.
“Silly Josh I know lots of things you don't know!”
Nope, Not even gonna go there….
I stood there with a blank stare and then replied “Ummm ya, Dash convinced me to come camping with you, and I do wanna spend a lot of time with her. So, ya... that’s about it.”
After that I felt awkward since I didn't know what else to do or say. I just wanted to be here to let Pinkie know I was going with them.
“...soooooooo, ya... I’m... gonna head out now... just here to let you know; I’m coming.”
Pinkie looked at me dumbfounded and replied “OH! Well... You sure you don't wanna stay for cupcakes or anything?” Now, I kinda feel bad for just leaving like this.
“I’m good for now pinkie, just gonna save my appetite for marshmallows!”
She then smiled and said “Well, okie dokie then, Bye Josh!”
After that weird visit I started heading back to Twilight's to see if she need any help. For a new life here... it seems boring, guess the only way to make life interesting and exciting... is to change myself. As I got back I saw Spike on his metal manly duty, sweeping the floor.
He turned around and replied “Oh hey dude! I’m just doing chores.”
“Say, wheres Twil-”
“She went out to get some things.”
I asked him if he needed help with the chores and he agreed it would be nice to have some company and help. Afterwards I decided to have a little nap to wait, till Dash was going to pick me up. When I sleep I always think about my past and so realize that, this new life is a chance to be happy and have a fresh start. I slowly open my eye’s to see a pair of gorgeous magenta orbs on top of me... Rainbow... my one and only.
I raised my head a bit and gave her a kiss on her nose, blushing she said “ya so... you ready to go?!” I got up and replied with a smile “You bet!” I got all the camping tools and we headed outside to meet up with Pinkie and AJ. When we got to Sweet Apple Acres we saw Pinkie and AJ there already waiting for us.
“Hey you two love birds! We thought you left without us so you two can camp... alone.” said The cowgirl teasingly, while Pinkie was giggling.
Me and Dash just blushed hard about that thought of us camping... alone.
Me and Dash camping alone?!... Sound’s nice! Kinda like brokeback mountain... except she’s not a guy... ya…
After the tease we hitchhiked on trails in the forest somewhere, I turned my head to Dash and walked closer to her, she noticed and teased “Making sure, you don't get lost?” she chuckled.
I just replied and said “Nope! I’ll be making sure YOU don't get loss, cause the thought of losing you means to loss my heart.”
She blushed and laughed saying “That’s the cheesiest line I heard all week! And Josh, you're talking to a mare that's been to this camping spot before, I think I know where I’m going.”
I scratched my neck feeling embarrassed, but I felt a quick kiss on my cheek, I looked at Dash beside me and she looked around back and forth. she then whispered.
“If I lose you, I too lose my heart.”
We arrived at the camp spot and I gotta say...it’s amazing. After of browsing around we started getting the tent set up for me and Dash. AJ and Pinkie did the same with their tents, Pinkie had confetti coming out when she open her’s. AJ's was just a plain tent like ours but a different color.
After everything was set up we started the fire place, since it was getting dark out. We got together and told each other ghost stories, Dash was the first to go. “Ok girls, gather around!”
Did she just call me a girl?
“Here’s the story of a pony who got lost in the evergreen forest and never returned!”
Dash’s story lasted for 6 minutes and when she finished It was my turn to tell a story, since the others don't really have any scary stories, lucky for me I have one I wanted to tell. I got up and said “Ok Dash, be prepared for this one! Cause this story will scare you straight!” Dash rolled her eyes and replied.
“I doubt it”
I smirked “You sure you don't need me to protect you... in case you're being stalked by...SLENDERMAN!”
Applejack asked “Who in the hay is SlenderMan?”
I smiled evilly and said “You will see Applejack...you will see...this story takes place in the forest, when this little girl got lost”
So I told them the story of slender man, and when I finished my story, all the girls had shocked looks on their face’s. Pinkie’s face looks complete white, her pupils shrink and she stood there like she saw death!.
Applejack covered her face with her hat and her body shaking like crazy. and Dash... I didn't know where Dash was. I notice our tent moving around and I figured Dash was scared but try not to let anypony see it...so I decided to tease her. Moved my hand outside the tent where she kicked around a bit...and then…
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
Yelled Dash as she screamed out of the tent and fly straight into the sky, I thought to myself. She’s NOT gonna be happy when she comes down! She then flew back down and punched me in the shoulder, hurtfully, but well I deserved it. She then said. “You jerk, Why did you did that!!!” I shrugged and she waited for an answer.

And so I got another punch in the shoulder... “OUCH!...ok, ok, It was wrong what I did, I’m sorry”
She then calmed down and said “Ok, but I swear if you decide to do that again I’ll-” I placed my finger on her mouth and said “I promise you I won't do it again... and I’ll also promise to protect you from the scary SlenderMan!..”
She flew above me and said “Oh please!..I don't need protected, I’m Rainbow Dash, I'm sure I can handle myself!” An owl made a noise and she screamed like she saw a mice and the 'Brave' Dash flew towards me and hanged on to me with a grip like made of freaking steel and said “Ok... maybe a little protection, say wheres the girls?” I turned around and saw Applejack calming down a bit and Pinkie turning her face color back to pink.
So I said “I think they're trying to get the whole SlenderMan story out of there heads... wanna head to bed?”
She nodded and replied “Sure, but at least have marshmallows first. Of cause not because light and no dark and... Marshmallows, k?”
We all had roasted marshmallows in the fire and after that we all headed to bed. I was cosy inside my sleepy bag inside the tent. I kinda felt bad for telling them the scary story I told them, since I doubt they will even sleep tonight.
I felt Something on my chest and saw Dash snuggling me. her hooves around me and her hoof on my chest. I whispered “Dash?” She shush me and replied “Shut up..yawwwn...just go to sleep” I then moved a bit, I placed my hands around her and my head close to her’s and whispered.
“Better?”
“... Yes” she whispers back
We then went into deep slumber while we hold each other embrace.

The day had started like any other. I'd finished my work and headed off to the store as I normally did. It was a pretty nice workplace, as workplaces went. If the place was quiet you could quite easily sit in the back of the store and browse the internet on the coal-powered PC. Thankfully the store had appeared empty, so I quickly pulled up in the car park and sauntered through the back door. I'd barely got inside before my father came up to me, smiling happily.
"Today Josh, I want you to take the day off. You've been working all week and I reckon you could do with some downtime. Anyway, the store's been pretty quiet today so I'm sure I can handle it".
"Thanks dad, take care of yourself, alright?" I said. I happily walked out the back-door and moved to the parking place to get my car.
'So, a whole day to myself!' I thought happily to myself, planning the day out. 'Where to go, what to do...' I pulled onto the highway, cruising along at a steady speed. 'Heh, no need to rush today, I can just take i-' I snapped back into alertness as I saw a fire engine and ambulance scream past on the other side of the motorway.'Don't even think that. He'll be fine, its just better to double check,' I thought anxiously, following the two emergency service vehicles.

A fireman leapt out of the cab of his truck and tackled me. "What the hell are you doing! The place is gone! Get back behind the cordon while we try and put the fire out!" he shouted, dragging me across the softening tarmac towards the makeshift boundary. I could do nothing as I watched the building burn to the ground, sending huge clouds of dark smoke tumbling into the sky. Slumping against a shop window, I tried to persuade myself this wasn't real. However, the immense heat and flashing, vivid sirens presented me with plenty of evidence to the contrary.
It felt like hours, just watching the dancing flames, listening to the crackle of destruction running across the wood and glass of the shop. I was paralyzed; I couldn't focus on moving any parts of my body, simply focusing on a single face: Would Dad be ok? I guess my hearing shut down as well, because as the water flew from the hoses to start their long, one-sided battle against the fire, it was a muffled spray.
Man after man rushed into the blackened skeleton of the building, picking through the debris. Their shouting didn't quite make it through my mind, but one started walking towards me. “Hey kid, you alright?” He asked, or at least I think he did, putting a gloved hand on my shoulder. The weight barely registered as I continued to watch the flames rage. Finally, I turned back to the fireman, barely aware of anything beyond the sweltering heat.
“No. We found a body by the cashier’s desk. We.....we barely managed to ID him through dental records, But we believe it's your farther. I’m sorry kid,” he said, voice thick with regret. Suddenly, the black husk of the store collapsed as the wooden supports finally gave way, the whole thing caved in on itself as the fireman turned back, shouting orders at a couple of his peers. I watched as the man took a fire axe and ran to the still burning ruins, hacking his way into the infernal nightmare. An EMT approached from the side, handing me a cold thermos of water and a heat jacket.
“Hey... look, sorry about your dad. I promise the body will be ready in the morgue, but you gotta leave. The fire’s starting to get out of control, and all the dry brush around here’s gonna ignite sooner or later,” the man stated. He was tall and barrel chested with two thick mutton chops running down both sides of his face. His eyes were a soft light hazel and the contours of his face were just right enough to give him that pleading old man look. I took the thermos numbly, drinking thirstily as I turned back to the fire. My mind was blank as I watched the yellow spires rise and fall. The only sound I could hear was that licking as the flames destroyed my life, right before my eyes.
I vaguely heard the EMT responder sigh as he sat beside me on the open flatbed. “Come on, I’ll take you home,” he said, picking me up and setting me farther back in the flatbed before climbing in the unmarked white truck and starting it up. Only then did I come out of my stupor and blink, sliding open the small back window connecting the cabin and the truck bed. “Say kid, do you have any family? Mother, uncle, brother, aunt?” he asked, rattling off the names. I only shook my head, to which he simply sighed, agitated, “Damn.”
“They’re all dead. I’m the only one left.” The words seemed to tumble out by themselves as he started up the engine, pulling off the gravel and dirt road and onto the street. Kind of shocking how life can turn around on you like that...
“I’m sorry kid, it’s the law. All children under eighteen are placed in foster care until a legal guardian shows up,” he said, voice low and melodious. “It’s just the way it is. I don’t make the laws.”
“Sorry, kid, but tomorrow’s your last day. We all gotta follow the law, and we can’t bend it for ya. You’ll just have to wait till you’re 18,” he stated, turning into the country road and hitting a good cruising speed of thirty miles per hour. The rest of the ride went on as an uncomfortable silence, just leaving me to my thoughts. He dropped me off at the house, once more saying his condolences before driving off and leaving me alone. Being alone was the last thing I needed, when the rest of my mind was burning to the ground like the store...
To take my mind off things, I figured I’d use my fallback; smiling through the smiles of others. A cartoon immediately came to mind, a fictional retreat for me. A story about six ponies living in a technicolor world, dealing with problems that seemed so small... My spirits lifted a little as their voices played through my head, and I made my way up the stairs.
I tried to immerse myself in it all, but those flames kept pulling me back out... it was like some ravenous animal that refused to give up its place in a cave, no matter what you tried. It just kept pulling me back... I kept trying to lose myself in Equestria, but everything just kept lighting on fire, ponies screaming in my head...
Still... maybe there could be a future. Dad wouldn't want me to just lie down and give up... the prospect of a foster home scared the crap out of me, for sure; no one wants to be forced out of a place they’d called home for so long. There’s just gotta be some bright side I can look to though!
Rarity’s problems with popularity just seemed so small... I can’t do this anymore. I closed the video, and the laughs of those ponies, the songs, everything...
Sluggishly, I went back down the stairs. Maybe some food will get my mind off things. I went down to the pantry, looking to see what we had left. Spaghettios, canned soup, and more Spaghettios. Wonderful. I grabbed a can of Spaghettios, poured its contents into a bowl, and threw it in the microwave for a couple minutes. I took it out, and the little noodles spelled out “DAD.” I pushed the bowl aside. I wasn't even hungry anyway.
I walked off to the family room. Perhaps the television would offer something to take my mind off things. But that didn't work. I barely even paid attention to what was on TV. My mind was lost in thought... Dad was dead, and I was off to some foster home. I still couldn't comprehend living somewhere other than home. It was... home, ya know? Somewhere you were used to, smelled familiar, looked the same... that one thing you wanted to remain constant. My phone’s ringing woke me from my stupor, replacing it with some thankful slight annoyance at its high-pitched chiming. It was Jake, a good friend of mine, he's like few years older then me.
“Hey man... what’s up?” I answered lethargically.’I guess...’
He hung up without another word. ’Wonderful,’ , I thought. ’A party. Just what I needed. Ah well, might as well make the most of the time I got left here in town’ . I looked at the time. ’8:57 already? Might as well head over now.’
“Yeah... I am.” I sighed, walking into the house, ready to be done with the party already. Jake was there to greet me, booze in his hand. “Look mate, I don’t want to get drunk. I've got enough on my mind at the moment, alright?” I muttered wearily, looking at my friend with concern.
"Oh, what the hell!" I laughed, grabbing the pint. As I took the beer from Jake's hands, I took one little sip. After that sip, I tasted a little more. Then more, then more . All of a sudden I just wanted to get wasted like no tomorrow. Next thing you know I’m completely and utterly hammered. After drinking 8 cans of lager, I felt like passing out.
“Haha, you’re completely wasted! Lightweight," Jake giggled, being no better off than me.
"You sure you’re okay to drive?" I asked seriously, trying to focus my spinning mind. The bright lights and loud music shut down my reasoning, reducing me to a drooling wreck of a teen. Well, more so than usual.
"Hah, I only had about twelve beers! It’s all good,” Jake affirmed, grinning wildly. I grinned, albeit stupidly, right back at him. We staggered out to his battered Fiat Punto, a shabby, rusted mess of a car.
Unfortunately, I didn't notice the final tin, clutched in his hand. The can that meant the difference between life and death. Like I said, I didn't notice the damned thing. I slid into the passenger side, trying to stop myself from vomiting all over his stained upholstery. It took him about ten minutes just to shove the key into the ignition, but we eventually pulled away into the dark street.
Jake quickly brought the battered car up to speed. Top speed.
“What, you pussying out on me? Man up buddy, I’ll have you tucked up in bed in no time, you little baby!” Jake giggled wildly, massively amused by his own humor. I just sat back, watching the scenery roll by while I focused on not spraying the contents of my stomach all over the windscreen. I’m only half joking.
Eventually, we pulled out onto the motorway. The blinking highlights of cars on the other side of the motorway enthralled me. I hardly noticed the snap of another lager can next to me. The beating music of the radio, the smell of lager and body odor, the taste of acrid stomach acid on the back of my throat, some screeching sound...
***The doctor looked up from his mass of charts, x-ray scans and notes. The patient had just exited theatre and was on the way to ITU. Multiple fractures, brain hemorrhaging, spinal fractures, collapsed lung, comatose... The list of injuries went on and on. The other patient had been pronounced dead at the scene.
There wasn't much doubt. Word around the theatre was that the paramedics hadn't even tried to resuscitate the other casualty. There wasn't enough to resuscitate... Jerry had to take the week off after that scene. He was about to retire the next day, for Christ’s sake! The paramedics had to administer life support while the fire service were cutting the collapsed vehicle apart.
His theatre team had been swapped twice, crowds of exhausted scrub nurses, surgeons and anaesthetists had been used to bring this boy back from the brink. He’d ‘died’ several times during the surgery. Massive force trauma has that effect on the body. It’s not built to survive a two-second deceleration from close to eighty miles per hour.
Every time they’d been on the verge of stopping the surgery, he miraculously slammed back into frantic life, giving his surgeons time to patch the Somehow, the passenger had been able to swerve the car, only ripping off the driver’s side of the vehicle. It had rolled for several-hundred feet, flinging his patient around like a rag doll. He’d required immediate adrenaline just to prevent his heart from cutting out due to massive alcohol consumption.
That didn't prevent his heart stopping several times on the frantic ride to hospital. Nothing short of divine intervention could be said for how this patient survived his ordeal, and even that was a dodgy theory. Everything about this case seemed dodgy, weird, even impossible... yet here he was, surviving through careful care and a lot of life support. This kid won Life’s Lottery, and it was doubtful the prize would be handed out for a long time yet.
It was difficult to say when this lucky bastard would ever wake up... or if he even would. Granted, this kind of trauma would just be bad for anyone coming out of a coma... It’d be up to someone else to pull his plug though. To this doctor?
Pulling the plug would be mercy to everyone.
What have I gotten myself into?! I thought to myself. I thought this was going to be a normal dinner conversation, but here I am with Lyra while she’s trying to kiss me. She’s STILL making eye contact with me and boy is it getting uncomfortable.
“Would you look at the time, I better get going” But before I could move she grabbed my t-shirt with her mouth and replied.
“You're not going anywhere mister, you still owe me answers!” She then walked towards me with a seducing smiled and said
Great, I’m gonna get raped by a pony!
We then started our trek toward Lyra’s cottage. I honestly would have run by now, but I didn't feel like hurting her feelings. My best bet is to avoid what she’s about to do to me.
“Well, here’s my place”, said Lyra. I looked around and saw that it was indeed a pretty nice place. I noticed a picture frame of Lyra and Bon-Bon and I looked back at her, gesturing toward it.
“Oh, I almost forgot, Bon-Bon is my roommate!”
“You two look like very good friends!”
“We are! We've known each other for a while.”
We then walked to the kitchen “Mind if I offer you some water?”
I shrugged and replied “sure”. While I sat down on the chair waiting for my drink, I looked around and lost myself in thought again.
I sure hope nothing goes too extreme here! Like, sure she’s cute, but I’m not gonna rush things this quick?
Lyra then returned with my drink and smiled. I grabbed the glass and took a drink and I looked beside me to see that Lyra was watching me drink. Weird?
“You know Josh, you're not like the stallions here”, I turned to her and replied
“...what do you mean?” I asked.
“I mean, you call me cute and beautiful and no male has called me that before. I've been waiting for a stallion to say some nice things about me and you take the cake! For a human you really know how to make a lady feel special”. She then came close to my face and tried to kiss me but I got up quickly.
“Well, it’s been a long day! I think I should get going now-“ Before I was about to leave, I saw her giving me this sad puppy face.
Oh god! Not with the face!
“I thought... you really liked me.” I then decided to comfort her and replied “Don't be like that Lyra, I DO like you... as a friend.” I felt really bad saying no to her. Stroked her mane and she seemed to enjoy it.
“Mmmm, your hands DO feel nice!” I stopped and replied.
“Thanks for the dinner Lyra, but I don't want Twilight to worry about me.” Lyra then looked at me with a disappointed face.
“She worries about you? Are you two dating or something?”
“What, NO!? I just live with her and she thinks I’ll get lost and what not.” Lyra then nodded and smiled.
“Well... I guess you're free to go now, but on one condition.” I wonder what that condition is?! I shrugged and replied.
“Whatever it is, just make it quick!” She then came close to me and whispered.
“You have to give me a kiss.”
Figures...
“Fine, but only on the cheek!” I said.
“FIIIINNE!” she pouted. I then lowered my head and gave her a nice kiss on the cheek. It really didn’t last that long, probably because I wasn't into it like she was. Finally, I broke the kiss.
“There, you happy?” she blushed and smiled
“Much better now”.
We both made our goodbyes and I headed back to Twilight’s.
As I was walking, I noticed Rainbow Dash clearing the sky. I waved my hand and she waved back. She then landed in front of me, wings tucking in at her sides.
“Hey Josh, how was your day?”
I shrugged.“It was... ok” She started coming closer to me
“Are you suuuure nothing happened much today?”
What is she talking about?
“I assure you Dash that nothing interesting happened”
“Really, cause from what I've heard, you had a little date with Lyra”
How does she know that?!
“Save it Josh, I hope you two are happy together!” Now she sounded really upset.
“What are you talking about?! Lyra and I are JUST friends; it was just a dinner talk.” Rainbow calmed down a bit.
“So you two were just talking about humans!?” I sighed in relief and replied.
“YES, why are you so uptight about it?!” She didn't answer me right away; she just looked at the ground, her face red with embarrassment.
“Well Dash, I’m waiting?” She slowly raised her head a bit and said something I couldn't understand.
“I...Like you”
“What did you say? I didn't hear you.” I said as I looked down at her. She raised her head a little more and said and raised her voice to just above audible.
“I like you”. I STILL couldn't figure out what she was saying.
“One more time please!”
She finally looked at me straight, her eyes bore into mine.
“I LIKE YOU, OK!” I stood there in shock.
“As a F-Friend right?!” She shook her head and replied.
“No... more than a friend!”
I was afraid you would say that!
“But... why me? Out of ALL the stallion’s out there, why choose an alien?!” She smiled. Her eyes seemed to gleam for just a moment, a spark in them.
“Ever since you complimented me on my looks I feel... good inside. And when I’m around you I feel happy. No stallion had ever done that to me.”
“Really?”
She nodded with a reply,There was an awkward silence for a while.
“So...” I turned to Dash.
“So...” She came closer.
“How do you feel?” To be honest, I don't know how I feel. I got a pony that had a crush on me, and I don't know what to think of it. I rubbed the back of my neck.
“Ummm, I don't know how I feel Dash. Like, I'm flattered really! But I just need some time to think about it.”
“That's ok Josh, take the time you need. I just wanted to let you know how I feel about you.”
“Well, I’m glad you did... I’ll see you later dash ok”
“Sure thing Josh...” Rainbow then flew off into the sky. I sat there, thinking.
What... The... hell?!
I then walked back to Twilight’s to tell her the reason why Dash was acting weird.
When I arrived at Twilight’s I took a deep breath and opened the door. I noticed Twilight sitting there reading a book.
“Oh hey Josh, glad you're here! I think I just figured out why Rainbow is acting all strange, I just read here in this book that-”
“Dash has a crush on me...”
“...”
Twilight put the book away. “Never mind this then, anyway, what did you just say?”
“Rainbow. Has. A. Crush. On. Me!” Twilight didn't reply right away, she just gave me a blank stare.
“Oh... well that’s not so bad...”
“Oh good, I was just about to say that you look kinda -”
“SHE HAS A CRUSH ON YOU!!!” And here comes the freak out. Twilight trotted back and forth murmuring to herself.
“I can't believe this! Rainbow’s first Crush...and with a human!”
“Twilight let’s not make this out to be such a big deal-” She stopped, suddenly and turned.
“But it IS a big deal! This is Rainbow’s first crush and I’m going to help!”
“Ummm, I don't think I need help with-” but before I can say anything else Twilight began again.
“Did you tell Rainbow how you feel? Tell me that you did!”
“Well I didn't really say anything, but-”
“But nothing! Rainbow has feelings for you and you should do the right thing and tell her how you feel.”
While Twilight may have a point, I've watched the show and have never seen Rainbow dash in a relationship. And I’m the only human here! So might as well go for the best of it.
“You know what Twilight, you're right” Twilight looked at me, surprised.
“Really? Well that’s good! Are you gonna tell Dash?”
“I will later. I just want to relax for a bit.”
“Sure thing Josh, take all the time you need” I then walked upstairs to my room to think about today. I jumped onto my bed and just stared up at the ceiling.
What should I do? Should I tell her that I love her, even though that I don't feel that way about her? What to do, what to do… I just settled on taking a little nap.

“Wake up Josh” I woke up to hear somepony calling my name. When I opened my eyes all I could see was a blur. A tall and dark blue pony was standing in front of me. When I rubbed my eye’s I saw the pony calling my name.
“Princess Luna?!”
“Yes Josh it is I, Princess Luna”
“What are you doing here?”
"I am the princess of the night, thus it is my duty to come into your dreams." I kinda forgot that she goes into pony’s dreams. At first it seemed a little weird, but decided not to judge what she does for a living.
“So why are you here, in my dream?”
“I never had gotten the chance to meet you when you were at Canterlot. I was busy elsewhere with my royal duties.”
“Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you Luna.” I then felt that I had made a mistake by calling her Luna and panicked.“
“I- I mean Princess Luna!” Luna looked at me, head tilted in question, also managing a smile
“It’s quite alright Josh; I don’t mind being called Luna.” I was sort of relieved when she didn't mind being called Luna. It seems that I call everypony with a shorter name, guess it’s just a habit.
“So Luna, Just in case you were wondering about humans we-”
“It’s quite alright Josh; Twilight sent us the book about humans. I have to say it quite… interesting.”
“Well I’m glad you like it.” I didn't know what else to say, so I decided to ask her about her day.
“So... how was your day?” She looked at me with an eyebrow raised.
“Quite fine, how about you?”
“Jeez where to begin?” A lot happened today I couldn't really explain to her, but then I decided why not!
“So you want to know my day today? Well here’s how it went out…”
After telling her about my day with Lyra, and the whole Rainbow dash having a crush on me, she kinda gave me a blank look.
“I guess that was a weird day for you.”
Tell me about it!
“So Luna, is there anything else you want to discuss.”
”Josh... how do you feel about Rainbow Dash?” Really?!
Really, this again?!
At first I didn't want to answer her about Dash but she being the princess and all. I should probably answer her question. I sighed. “Well, she’s very loyal , Cool, pretty chill, and my best friend! I really don't know what else to say to her but I guess you can say I-”
“Love her?”
I was surprised that she thought I was gonna say that! I was gonna say I think she’s the best friend that anyone could ask for.
“No, I love her, but not in that way. Why would you think that?”
“Because I’ve been in Rainbow dash’s dream and noticed it was of you”
I hope she’s not having THAT kind of dream of me!
“Oh...she does, does she?”
“Indeed Josh”
I was kinda surprised she dreams of me, it’s not like I've been here all my life. All I did was act nice to her and NOW she has a crush with me! It’s not like I have a problem with that, it’s just so... weird and it’s also weird thinking about it. How would you feel if a pony you only knew for around 5 days has a crush on you, pretty confusing if you ask me?
“Ummm, I’m not sure If I love Dash in that way Luna. I find it really hard to accept that.”
“You know Josh, Rainbow dash may not be human, but she still has feeling’s.” She made a good point. She still has feelings, kinda like humans have feelings. And it’s not like I’m gonna see another human female anytime soon… the hell with it!
“You know what Luna, you're right, she has feelings for me. I should at LEAST give her a chance. Thanks for the talk” Luna smiled down at me.
“You're quite welcome; it’s been nice talking to you too.”

When I awoke looked at the clock, 11:42 pm. I decided to go find Twilight. When I went downstairs I saw her re-stocking the shelves with Spike. She then noticed me coming down the stairs.
“Josh, why are you awake?” I could ask you the same thing.
“Hey Twilight, do you know where Dash is going to be tomorrow?”
“She’s usually flying around somewhere, why?”
“Because I’m gonna tell her that I love her.” Twilight stood there in shock and her magic stopped, making the books fall on Spike.
“How come you JUST now realized it?”
“Let’s just say a visitor came into my dream and we had a nice talk.” Twilight’s eye lit up and replied.
“You met Princess Luna?! What did she say?”
I told her that Luna wasn't in Canterlot when I was around and the day I've been having. I also mentioned Dash. When I finished telling my dream to Twilight she seemed to be really happy.
“Well I’m glad you had a nice chat with her and I’m also happy to know that you're gonna give Dash a chance to love you.”
“Exactly.”
We both went upstairs to our own rooms and went to bed. As I lay in my bed staring at the ceiling again I thought to myself:
