After being humiliated and kicked out of Ponyville, Trixie sadly got in her wagon and drove off. However, not having any particular location in mind, she stopped shortly after and decided to get some sleep. She parked the wagon close to a dirt road just outside of Ponyville, and went inside. Exhausted, she threw her magic hat, cape, and herself onto the couch. She breathed a sigh of relief as she brushed her light blue and white mane back. The cape had silver stars that shined in the bright light illuminating from the one single lantern hanging on the ceiling.

Bored and tired, she went even deeper in the wagon until she approached a door. She opened it and lit another lantern near a table. Her room was very small, consisting of nothing more than a bunk bed and a desk and table. As she laid in her bed, she could hear the crickets happily chirping. She wished she felt the same way. As she slowly drifted away into sleep, the memory of her magic being out shined by the purple unicorn haunted her that night. She tossed and turned all night, throwing her covers off and exposing her shiny fur and slim body to the coldness of Luna's night.

She woke the next morning in a cold sweat. There was sweat on her forehead. She quickly wiped it off and looked outside. The Sun was brightly shining and butterflies, bees, and all kinds of other insects were flying around, enjoying natures' great joys. She quietly went into the living area and got out an apple and began to chew into it. As she sat on the couch, munching on her apple, some pieces of apple fall on her lap and stomach, but she quickly wipes it off. Because of her stubborn nature, Trixie wastes no time in trying to find some way of improving her magic.

After hours upon hours of stacking up old, dusty books, she finally gives in and lays her head on the desk. But, as her face made contact with the wooden desk, a memory played in her head. Her mother encouraging her to peruse her career as a magician. At one point, she remembered her telling a tale about an ancient library that contained mystical texts that could give any unicorn magical powers beyond belief. Realizing this could be her one chance to become the Great and Powerful Trixie once more, she drove off towards the library.

Very few knew of its location and even fewer knew how to get in. Luckily for Trixie, she came from a long line of magicians, believe it or not, and she knew how to get in. Shortly after entering, she immediately searched for a book about the most impressive spell known to ponykind. The power of dimensional travel. Unfortunately, she was not the first pony to get there. most of the books were either missing, destroyed, or badly damaged. But, she managed to find one book that was not tampered with. She began reading the instructions and followed them. She opened the book and began to read. Time passed by and morning turned to dusk as the Sun began to sink below the horizon, leaving behind a gorgeous orange sky. When she finished reading about the spell, she tried it out. Her horn glowed pink and a beam of energy emitted from her horn. As the beam made contact with the ground, a large vortex opened on the floor. Trixie's eyes glowed in both happiness and excitements as the vortex continued to swirl.

On the other side of the portal, a human, by the name of Carson, was in bed when the portal opened. Carson tended to roll off his bed in his sleep. And today was one of those days. He slowly rolled off the bed and straight into the portal. As the vortex engulfed him, it closed shut.

The next thing Trixie knew, something flew out of the portal and dove into a bookshelf. The contents spilled all over the flung figure. She slowly walked over to the pile of ragged, old books.

As Carson sleepily rubbed his head in pain, he looked up at Trixie. A look of confusion washed over his face.

"Huh? Where am I? Who are you? What are you? You aren't human. Where's my home!?"

"What is a human?"

"Well, it's what I am."

Trixie then burrowed Carson's look. "No you're not. You're a pony. You do know that, right?"

Carson then looked down at his hands. His skin was covered with bright-white fur. Then, he felt his ears twitch. He tapped the top of his head. Nothing out of place there. His hair was still manageably curly. Carson was not panicking at the time. That is, until he noticed that he had a tail. He looked at his back. He also had something on his flank. A cutie mark. It was a picture of smoke. Carson didn't know what it was or what it meant, but he wasn't waiting to find out.

"Where am I? And can I go home, please?"

"You're in Equestria."

Carson just became more confused than he already was. Maybe it was because he was sleepy. "Equestria? I never heard of it in school. Is it a country?"

"Well, it is more of a kingdom. What is your name, pony?"

"Um, Carson. Can I go home now?"

"Unfortunately, I do not know any spells at the moment, nor do I care if I don't. But, Trixie is willing to make you a deal."

Carson leaned forward. "Yeah?"

"If you are willing to help me with my magic show tour, I will help you get back to your world."

Carson thought for a second. "Sure, why not?"

"But!" Carson jumped back from the sudden outburst. "You must agree that you will do exactly as Trixie tells you to do. Do you understand?"

"Yes, yes. I get it!"

Trixie then let out a sly grin. "Perfect. Trixie believes you and her will get along just nicely."
