The trees loomed overhead, the sky was dark, and not a tiny iota of moonlight was showing through the clouds. Nick sat at the base of a tree, having no idea what was going on, he decided to just keep walking, maybe, just maybe he could get home, get yelled at by his mom for being late, and everything would go back to normal.
