Cal was a normal person just like any other. He would go down the street and no one would look at him and go "I know you from somewhere". That is until one day when his life was going to change forever. Cal woke up that morning wanting to stay in bed. He reluctantly got up because he knew he was on his last strike for being late and if he was late this time he would get fired. He got up ignoring all the trash and beer cans laying around. He went to the bathroom looking in the mirror. He was a tall 27 year old man who had light brown hair. He took off his clothes so he could hop in the shower and get ready for the day. His job was selling CD's and he was saving money so he could make his own. He was good at the music he would make but like every good singer they never where able to get the record deal they needed to pursue the dream. He was particularly drawn towards dubstep except he had a way of making it sound like nothing anyone has heard. He would add lyrics and not the kind that would glitch and repeat but nice soothing lyrics to it making it sound like angels had sung it. Then he would stop and the bass would drop and the club he would perform at would go ecstatic.
He never could manage to get a permanent job at one though on account of his alcoholism. Right after the first few songs he would have racked enough beer cans to be melt down into a tank. He would then be kicked out of the club never to be aloud back. He would stubble back to his apartment and wake up the next morning with a killer headache. He got out of the shower went over to his closet opened it nothing. He wasn't that keen on hygiene either. He just would grab some clothes that looked and smelled clean enough and set of to his job. Whenever he was driving he would always pick up his friend. he didn't work at the music store that he worked at but at the fast food place next to it.
Cal honked his horn impatiently, "Hey Max lets go," Upon honking his horn a few more times the door opened and Max walked out.
"I'm coming I'm coming you impatient bastard," Max said getting into the car. "So how was the club last night get kicked out like always."
"And like always I reply I haven't the slightest idea." Cal wasn't one to get drunk very easily but when he did he would lose all of the memories from the night in question. "So how have you been haven't seen you around lately." He said as he pulls out of the parking lot.
"Ya probably because I've been sulking lately," he says with a sad look on his face.
"What's got you down this time?"
"My girlfriend leaving me because I've 'lost the love' in the relationship."
"You see man, I always say this you rush into love to quickly and find a slut that only uses you like an old rag and throws you away when she thinks your done."
"I know dude its just that I want to find that special someone that will love me for the rest of my life."
"Max do you know how cheesy that sounds."
"Ya I do but that the truth."
"You really are a sap," Cal says as he stops at the store. "Well hears the job that chisels down my pride with each moment of working in it."
"You make it sound like you hate it."
"At least I am around what I love."
"Hey I love burgers just as much as you love music," Max said while they both shared a laugh.
They say there goodbyes since Max gets off later then Cal. Cal entered the store and starts getting to work when his boss storms out of his office. "Cal you're fired."
He look at him in bewilderment. "W,, Why?" He says with a bit of confusion in his voice
"You're late," his boss says as he points to the clock.
"But I'm only a minute late why would you fire me for that?"
"Because I've given you plenty of other chances to redeem yourself."
"I've only been late 2 other times," he says with desperation to keep his job.
"That's right, but 3 strikes you're out NOW LEAVE MY STORE!!"
Cal leaves the store begrudgingly, but not before he knocks down a few racks of CDs in the process. He heads for his car hops in and heads for the nearest bar.
He goes into the bar as a few people greet him, after all he is a regular at this place. He goes straight to the counter. "Give me your strongest drink."
The man looks at him greeting him with a "Hey Cal how've you been?"
"Just got fired and am going to drown my sorrows in the sweat pain relieve drink of alcohol."
"Wow you see its good to be you're own boss like me."
"Ya ya stop gloating and give me my drink." He hands him the strongest stuff they've got and within a few glasses he's out.
The barkeeper tells Cal to go he's had to much to drink. He responds with "But Pa a swig one more swig of happy juice wouldn't hurt."
"Cal leave you've had a bit to much already," he mutters to himself as he leaves.
He reaches his car and puts it in the ignition "First my job, then the bar what next my life." As if God was having amusement by what he says a semi hits Cal sending the car flying into the lake. He sees a bright light and is gone. Without a trace no body is recovered saying it was washed down stream and it would turn up over time.
Cal woke up the next morning with a killer headache. He looks at his surroundings and finds himself in a tree, "What the hell happened last night." He goes to get down then he slips through a hole landing in the middle of a room. "What is this place," he looks around in amazement at all the books around when he feels something below him he looks down and sees a pony.
He gets off and looks at its lavender color and a horn he stares at in in amazement when he hears someone, "Are you going to stare at me all day." He looks around and sees no one. "Over hear," he looks down at the pony.
"Did you just talk?" how could it have talked, its a pony he thinks.
"Did you just... talk?" They stare at each other and then at the same time start screaming. Cal was no longer in his world anymore because in his world ponies don't talk.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!" that was all they could do is scream at each other until Cal finally passed out from both shock and from all the yelling. The lavender pony then looks at him with curious eyes studying him. She pokes him in the side getting a grunt from the now unconscious human. She seems relieved that he didn't die from the yelling. "What are you," she thinks to herself. Just then a little dragon appears and sees the human on the floor.
"What the hell is that thing," he says as he goes over to claw the person to death.
"Spike don't!" she yells at him surrounding him in a magical glow.
"What gives Twilight?" revealing the name of the talking pony as Twilight.
"Spike that thing can talk and I intend on keeping it alive for further studying," as she says this Cal gets up from his slumber and looks around.
"I'm in a... a dream right... I will wake up soon right," Cal manages to say.
"What the... it can talk," Spike says
"Yes spike it can talk, now your not in a dream and I am curious as to what are you?" says Twilight
"I... I'm a human a... you are?" Cal says.
"I'm a pony the names Twilight, Twilight Sparkle."
"And I'm her assistant Spike I'm a dragon."
He passes out at the sight of Spike and the fact that he's a dragon. He wakes up some time later and looks around. Still books are surrounding him as he continues to look around. He sees a door. He gets up quietly and sneaks to it in hopes to escape. "Hello are you alright you gave us quite a scare?"
He turns to see Twilight standing a few feet away. "Well, you gave me a heart attack, anyways what is this place where am I?"
"Why your in Ponyville and me and my friends live here."
"Ponyville? Right well what is this place not the town the... well... entire place." She looks at him dumbfounded and just stares. He then gets a better look at the pony he is talking to. She has a lavender body with dark purple hair with a strand of pink. On her rear he sees what he thinks is a tattoo of a pink star. He looks at his surrounding and doesn't see Spike the dragon anywhere.
"What do you mean by that?" Twilight says snapping out of his daydreaming.
"I mean where am I because I got to get home so I can pay the rent and..." The realization dawns on him that he may not be in California anymore or even the U.S. he might not even be on Earth anymore as far as he's concerned.
She looks at him with a funny look, "Your in Equestria and this is my house that just as specific as I can get."
He stares at her where in the world is Equestria he's never even heard of that name and let alone how to get home. "Equestria? What's an Equestria?"
"It's not a what it is, its a where it is." She looks at him with even more curiosity than before. "Where are you from."
"I'm from California, more specifically Los Angeles," Cal says hoping for the answer on how to get home, but he doesn't get one.
"I've never heard of that place," Twilight says. He looks at her with shock knowing that he might not be getting home anytime soon.
He faints once again only this time he doesn't get up until morning. In Cal's head he dreams of home and what he was not going to get to see again he saw his best friend Max, his mom and dad, and the crummy apartment when it dawns on him what his life was.. horrible. He had one friend Max no love live and his mom and dad kicked out of the house as soon as they could to top it all off he was fired from his job just that very same day. He wakes up hoping no to pass out again otherwise this time he might not wake up and he could feel him getting dumber with each time he passed out. He looks around one last time thinking that his life was actually going to get better not worse. He had been fired from his job he had no contracts on account of his alcoholism and he wouldn't have made rent that month. "Things could get worse," he says to himself.

Chapter 3: A walk around town
Cal woke up before Twilight and was interested in all the books. He thought that with all the books there might be a explanation on how he got here. After only a few minutes of looking through the books he saw one that interested him it was called "Magical Mysteries and Theories." After skimming through it for a bit he stopped at a page on alternate dimensions.
"Those who don't know unicorns are magic and if they have a strong surge of emotions their magic can get out of control causing a discharge of energy. Tests and theories have proven that this can cause a temporary portal in other dimensions and can transport another being to this world." He then gets very interested in this and is now reading with much interest. "This temporary portal can even cause that being to be saved from a great danger if the pony that has the discharge is pure of heart." He then looks up from the book and realizes that Twilight is making a sandwich. "Morning Cal," she says to him.
"Morning," he says putting away the book. "So... ya I just read an interesting paragraph"
"And what's that?" she says as she is making another sandwich for him.
"Well apparently that last magical discharge you had apparently sent me here, after all I did appear on your roof."
She looks at him with bewilderment. "Well you certainly can absorb information easily," she says putting away the ingredients with her magic. "So you're here because of me, well I'm certainly sorry."
"Ya so since your the reason I'm here you can send me back right the FUCK NOW!" he says raising his voice in anger.
Twilight takes a step back from his sudden anger. "I.. I'm sorry I.. I don't know how I'll h.. have to ask princess Celestia," she says with a worried expression of what he might do.
"And how long will that take," he says with more anger building in him realizing his thoughts from last night were ridiculous. "Because I don't fucking want to stay here for very long."
"Sh.. She's in Manhatten on business." Twilight feels like she's about to cry, "It might take a few weeks."
He sees she's about to cry and realizes that he had his hand in a fist. "My god Twilight I'm... I'm sorry I can get pretty angry sometimes I'm so sorry," he goes over and holds the crying mare to help her calm down. "I didn't mean to say any of that I... I was just frustrated I'm so sorry." After a few minutes apologizing seemed to calm her
down.
When she was finished they eat their sandwiches in silence and she asks, "So what do you do for a living?"
"Other then get angry that would be getting fired from my job." They chuckle at that comment, "but other then that I guess music."
"Oh what kind if you don't mind me asking?"
"No I don't mind it's dubstep but I never could get an album or anything on account of me getting kicked out of every club I went to," he says with a depressed look.
"Why were you always kicked out?" she asked with some curiosity from his depressed look.
"Well I'm a serious alcoholic so whenever I went to a club for a gig it never helped I got free drinks," he says looking back to every club he's gone to falling even deeper in his depressed look.
She goes over to him and tells him, "It's alright Cal now that you're here you can work on that problem." This comforts him, but not much thinking of the last time he tried to quit. The dreams he had were so real and so frightening. Now that he's here he hopes he can do just that and get through it because he would have something other than that on his mind.
"Ya thanks for that, anyways what's on the agenda today," he says so that the depressing mood would leave.
"Well I was going to show you around town and introduce you to my friends."
"Well let's get going then, shall we," he says getting up from the chair heading for the door. Twilight soon following after him. She soon leads him to Sugercube Corner for the first time she introduces him to one of her friends.
"This is Sugercube Corner. My friend Pinkie Pie and the Cake family lives here. It's also a bakery" They both enter the shop Twilight calls to her friend, "Pinkie Pie I have a someone for you to meet." Almost instantly after that Cal and Twilight was showered by confetti. They turn to see a pink mare with a big poofy pink mane. She is jumping up and down with glee and couldn't wait to meet this human.
"Hello I'm Pinkie Pie what's your name? What are you? Where did you come from? Are you dangerous?" She spoke so fast Cal can hardly keep up with her words.
"Pinkie Pie don't overwhelm him with questions," Twilight says, Cal kind of relieved she said that before more questions where asked.
"The name is Cal I'm a human I came from another dimension because of Twilight, but luckily she saved my life by doing it, and no I am not dangerous," Cal answers her questions just as fast as she asked them Twilight and Pinkie Pie look at him surprised on how fast he answers her questions. But not long after Pinkie is bouncing with glee to her questions asked, "Oh and before you ask yes I would be happy to be your friend."
Pinkie stops jumping and again is surprised of what he said but just as fast as last time she's jumping again, "Yay a new friend I have a new friend and this one is from another dimension oh we should have a party." Pinkie said this hoping for him to say yes.
"Maybe some other time Pinkie after I meet the others, ok," Cal says. Pinkie seems disappointed by it but is still happy none the less. Her happiness reminded him of his little cousin back home she was always filled with energy but Pinkie seemed to have a never ending supply in her.
"Well Pinkie we're going to visit Rarity next," Twilight says still a bit surprised at Cal's answer to Pinkie Pie.
"Oikie-doklie-oklie," Pinkie says as they leave.
"So I take it she's the energetic one of all your friends?" Cal asks as they are walking to the Carousel Boutique.
"Yes she is what gave it away?" she says earning a chuckle from Cal. "So anyways we're headed to the Carousel Boutique to see Rarity."
"Ok got it," he says walking down the street then sees a house that resembles a carousel. He thought to himself. "This is the Carousel Boutique didn't expect it to be an actual carousel." While he was admiring the Carousel he didn't notice what was ahead of him and bumped into some pony, "I'm sorry I wasn't watching where I was going."
"No I'm sorr..." She stopped in amazement of what lied before her
Twilight was just about to speak when Cal stopped her, "I got this Twilight, The names Cal I came from an alternate dimension because of Twilights magical discharge but if she hadn't I would have died," he says thinking back to the semi. "So now we're passing the time until the princess comes back from Manhatten in a few weeks."
"Well that was.. something the names Vinyl, Vinyl Scratch," she said. Cal then sees that she's a white mare and for all things considered was pretty hot. Her mane was dark blue but with light blue in it to make her mane noticeable. She had a pare of sunglasses hanging on her horn. "I was just getting to my gig and was thinking of stuff before I bumped into you."
"Cool what kid of a gig?" he asks.
"It's a club one filled with dubstep the best kind of music," she says seeing his eyes widen with happiness.
"Dubstep exists here?!" he says shouting with happiness and surprise as Vinyl nods her head. "This is the greatest things I've heard since I arrived in this world," he says as he checks his pockets and takes out his phone. "My god check that this is the greatest," he says as he looks at his phone.
"What's that thing?" Vinyl and Twilight simultaneously ask.
Cal is glad to answer that question, "It's a phone more specifically it records music and saves it to be replayed later and its used to communicate over long distances."
They look at it in amazement then Vinyl finally speaks, "I better go and set up the stage see you two later."
"Hold up," Cal stops her before she could leave. "What time are you playing and where?"
"At 7:00 p.m. at Hoof to the Beat why do you want to know?" she asks curiously.
"Because I'm coming to the club," she looks at him with surprise.
"Well ok I'll see you there and if you want I could get you into the back stage," she says smiling at him. He smiles back receiving a blush from Vinyl. He did not expect this and his cheeks started to turn a slight bit of red.
"Well see you later," Vinyl said breaking the moment. He strangely didn't want the moment to end. He then turns to Twilight who is looking at him with surprised eyes.
"So I think I know what the next couple in this town will be," she said blinking her eyes rapidly towards him.
"What no me and a pony never!" he yells quite loudly. Vinyl overheard this and it seemed she was quite depressed by it. Twilight and Cal then turned and continued to the Carousel Boutique. Upon arriving they we're greeted with fabric flying everywhere.
"Rarity what are you looking for?" asked Twilight.
A white pony with a purple mane pokes her head from around the corner, "I'm looking for Opal's favorite toy dear, she seems to have lost i...." she stops noticing the tall figure next to Twilight.
"W... What is that?" she asks.
"This is Cal, he's from an alternate dimension and was transported here when I had a magical discharge two days ago," she said to Rarity still amazed at what she was seeing. "Apparently I saved his life though he won't tell me how because he'd have to explain to much, and so I am showing him around ponyville because the princess won't be back from Manhatten for a few weeks." Rarity seemed to have comprehended the idea pretty well and just excepted it.
"Well that seems believable, in any case his clothes certainly aren't the best to wear," she says as she picks him up with her magic bringing him to a measuring block. "We first have to take your measurements so I can make your clothes, I suspect that your kind wear undergarments so take off your pants please." He looks at her bewildered but obeys her command.
"Rarity I have one question," Cal says.
"And what's that dearie?" she asks.
"Well why are you going to make clothes for me in the first place?"
"Because your a friend of Twilight so that makes you my friend. That and I am the element of Generosity," she says receiving a curious look from the human.
"What?"
"I am an element of harmony and I am generous so I symbolize it as for making clothes that what my cutie mark is," she shows him her flank and he looks at the three gems on it.
"Does everyo... everypony have one," he looks interested.
"No not everypony they earn it once they learn their special talent," she says as she jots down the last measurement. Cal then pulls up his pants and buckles them. He hears some giggling from around the corner and he turns to see nothing.
"Well thanks Rarity, when should I come and pick them up?" Cal asked walking with Twilight to the door.
"Tomorrow at noon they'll be ready around then," Rarity answers.
"Cool and thanks again Rarity."
"It's fine your my frie...." That was all she said as three fillies leap onto Cal and causing him to fall. Once that happened the fillies get up off of him and laugh hysterically.
"Sweaty Belle, Scootaloo, Apple Bloom that is not how we treat a guest," Rarity yelled at the three
"It's fine Rarity I've suffered worse falls then that," Cal said making the three not be as sad as they we're going to be.
"Sorry about that, the names Apple Bloom," the little filly says.
"Ya sorry my names Sweaty Belle," the other filly said.
"I'm not that was awesome, I'm Scootaloo," the last filly said.
"And we are The Cutie Mark Crusaders," they say simultaneously.
"Ya I'm Cal and am very grateful that you didn't kill me," they share a laugh as Cal gets back up from the fall. "I didn't expect that to happen so what are exactly The Cutie Mark Crusaders?"
"We do everything to do get our cutie marks trying everything crusading to the end!" they said with a lot of emphasis.
"Well have you tried what you love to do?" he asked as Twilight and Rarity gave him a look like they've tried before.
"No we haven't, hmm," Apple Bloom said thinking of it. Rarity and Twilight look at Cal as if they we're surprised that she was even giving a thought of that question. "Well I do love working and building things."
"And I love to sing," Sweaty Belle adds.
"And I love being awesome," said Scootaloo.
"Well try that you might get you cutie marks after that," Cal says.
"Ya but lets try all our other possibilities first," Scootaloo says ruining the revelation moment.
Rarity and Twilight sigh in disappointment. "Well we should go now Cal so I can introduce the rest of ponies and so you can get to work on your clothes," Twilight asks walking towards the door Cal soon following after. Once they leave the head towards a cottage. "Next person is Fluttershy, she is very shy so she lives outside of ponyville and helps animals." On the way they see a rainbow streak the sky soon after it stops above them and then comes straight down towards them. Cal can only look in amazement at what is happening. The rainbow stops and Cal sees a Pegasus hovering above them. Her mane was blue and her tail was the color of a rainbow not one color missing.
"Hey Twilight I was flying by and noticed that awesome looking.. whatever it is walking with you," he said looking at Cal with interest.
"Well for one the names Cal for two I'm a human from another dimension thanks to Twilight but I'm not complaining because she did save my life," Cal said fairly quick comparing he had done this a few times before.
"Well that couldn't have sounded more casual, Then names Rainbow Dash the fastest flyer in Equestria," she says as she lands to the ground.
"Ya well I have told a few others so I kind of got my story straight, oh and I'm stuck here for a few weeks because the princess is in Manhatten, no more to it," he said as Rainbow dash goes up to him extending a hoof to shake.
"Well nice to meet you Cal, sorry your stuck here for awhile," she said as he shakes her hoof.
"Na don't be, I've come to terms with it after getting pretty angry at Twilight," he says remembering the events of that morning. "Which reminds me sorry again Twi."
"Like I've said before the other thousand times it's fine I would have been angry to if it happened to me" She says making him feel less guilty.
"Well I've got to go and get these clouds situated" she says flying off
"Umm about the clouds what"
"Pegasusi here operate the clouds and the rain" She says like its a common thing.
"Well ok so lets go and meet Fluttershy before my mind is further destroyed by what happens here" They then continue down the road to the cottage they arrive fairly fast and see someone leaving the place.
"Hello Octavia how are you" Twilight yells to the pony
"Hello Twilight I'm good thanks to Fluttershy popping my back into pla..." She stops at Cal's sight
"Names Cal form an alternate dimension and am here thanks to Twilight am stuck for a few weeks and am tired of explaining this" Cal says with a bit of irritation of how many times he's had to explain it.
"Yes well that was fairly fast and simply well you sound irritated so I will have my goodbyes" she says walking away.
"Hey Twi do you think we can skip going to Fluttershy's house I kind of want to go back to you house and sleep until 7:00" Cal asks hoping for a yes
"Well ok only because it's you that wants to lets go" They then head off back home.

Chapter 4: One Hell of a Night
Cal woke up later that day exhausted from the events of that day. He had no idea that meeting a few of Twilights friends would be so exhausting. Even though he only met a few of them he didn’t want to get up. He finally just got up at around 6:00 p.m. He went to the bathroom where he remembered Twilight had pointed out the bath for him to use. He was going to relax with this bath for the most of it. His apartment back home didn’t have a bath only a shower. When he was done he went to get dressed and realized they were cleaner than he last checked. He shrugged it off and went to the kitchen and noticed a not on the table.
“Dear Cal, I don’t suspect that you care about you clothes but I cleaned them up for you. I am doing my studies on some of the samples I took from you. It has also came to my mind that you don’t know your where Hoof to the Beat is located so I have took the liberty of giving you directions. It’s three blocks down as soon as you leave the house, then you take a right for two blocks. You should see a big sign of the club, if by chance you don’t find it just listen for the music. Vinyl tends to have the music quite loudly.”
He smiles at the letter appreciating that she took the time of doing all that. He quickly makes a last check on everything and leaves for the club. On his way there h thinks to himself of what the party will be like. Sure he’s been to many clubs before but this one is in an alternate dimension. He was thinking how they would dance in this world considering they were ponies. Before he could even finish that thought he collided with a pegasus flying unusually low. “Oh I’m sorry I didn’t see you there” She says.
“No it’s ok it’s my fault for not paying attention” Cal says to the pegasus
“Well my names Derpy Hooves” She says looking at him not awestruck or even phased at his appearance.
“Cal, you’re the first pony that didn’t get awestruck by me” He says to the pony
“What’s so aweing about you?” She says looking back at him. He notices that her eyes are a little wonky and don’t face one direction.
“Nothing really it’s just that I’m from another dimension and they don’t see my kind often” He says surprised she isn’t the least bit surprised at the sight of him was actually surprising him.
“Well I’m sorry again by now” She says flying off
Cal soon shrugs this off and continues to the club. When he finally arrives at the club enters the club he sees a fair number of ponies already ordering drinks, “I sure hope I can control myself” he thinks as he stares at the glasses of alcohol, “Ok just focus I’m here to listens to Vinyl’s show nothing more nothing less” he pries his eyes off of the alcohol to go back stage. He reaches the stairs seeing a huge muscular pony guarding the only way up, “Hey the names Cal, I may or may not be on the list” thinking back when Vinyl said she might be able to get him back stage. The big brute of a pony checks his list and sees his name there. He grunts at him letting him through “Thanks” he says walking in through. He goes behind the curtain and looks around to find Vinyl. He sees her lost in her thoughts. He sneaks up right behind her and taps her shoulder. He ducks down as she looks his way. She is surprised that no one was there and then he taps the ground making a noise. She looks down sees him making her jump back, “oh man I got you good.” he says laughing hysterically.
“That’s not funny?!” Vinyl says on instinct.
“No your right it’s not funny,” he says regaining his composure, “it’s fucking hilarious.” He says laughing himself onto the ground once again.
“Ya, ya laugh it up” she says angry that he was laughing at it so much.
“Ok I’m done; I’m done so thanks for getting me back stage. Even though we just met for like a few minutes” he says somewhat curious of why she let him do that. He earns a surprising blush from the mare that stand before him.
She’s about to say when she remembers a questions she wanted to ask, “Hey you think I can listen to your music if you have it?” she seems to want to listen to it desperately. He checks his pockets and grabs his phone and flips through it to get his music set up. He grabs some ear buds that he has also and plugs it in and puts them in her ears. He hits play and instantly she’s in the music’s trance. It’s was dubstep that much she was sure of. But there was something about the way it played out it was like nothing she had ever heard before. That was when she heard him singing. It was glitchy like she usually heard lyrics do in dubstep but it was clear even for other kinds of music. It played out for awhile and then it picked up by the bass dropping. Then the music cleared.
“That… that was amazing!” she said in amazement of what she heard.
“Well thanks, now only if I could get a legitimate music career in it. But I just can’t control myself around alcohol” he says with a depressed sigh. Vinyl seems to notice this and is about to comfort him but is called to the stage before she can. She reluctantly and goes onto the stage.
“Hello everypony how are you doing tonight!?” she says into the mic as she gets on stage. She is answered with a roar of screaming ponies. “Then let’s get this party started!” she yells putting on the music. She put on a recorded song and snuck back behind the curtains. She goes back to where Cal was surprised to see him uplifted that the music started. She could almost see the gears grinding in his head making lyrics for her song. He say her approach her and he stopped doing what he was doing and turned to face her, “Well you got over that easily”
“Well music tends to help with that,” he says looking at her with surprised eyes that she was here and not at the stage, “especially if it deserves good lyrics.”
“Ya I can see that” she says amazed at the fact he could put lyrics to a song so quickly especially it being dubstep and all, “So ya I came back to see how you were now that I know I will come back after I’m finished”
“Ok” he says as she walks of. When she arrived back at the stage she put her glasses back on and got back into the music but she had a naggings sense to know what Cal was thinking for the song. The beat soon ended and she changed the song in an instant. The crowd had to time to complain that the music stopped and everything went back to normal. The night soon ended and many of the ponies that had gathered had left for the night.
“Have a great night everyone and see you later” she said going behind the curtain to meet with Cal. She didn’t see him where he last was last and she thought he left. She then is hears a noise behind her. She then turns around as fast as she could and sees Cal about to scare her half to death, “ha I got you” she says smiling with pride, “I thought you would have left by now?”
“Are you kidding and not give that music some good lyrics,” they share a laugh “besides I thought you might want to hear the lyrics”
“Dang right I do!” she says waiting to hear them.
“Well ok but I will have to write them down first” he hears a sigh of disappointment from the mare, “hey don’t be that way it won’t take that long”
She seems to cheer up after hearing that. They then talk a little bit discussing music but also about each other. They then realize that it’s past midnight and decided that they should be on their way home. “So how was our date?” Cal says Vinyl surprised at what he just asked. Her jaw drops, “haha you should see the look on your face, I was just joking” he said laughing.
“Ya hehe” she says clearly disappointed at what he said. He took notice to this
“Hey I’m sorry I didn’t mean it like that” she still seems disappointed but a little less than before
“Thanks” She said will a disappointed look still on her face.
“Hey will always be friends even when I go back to my dimension” He says in a cheery mood to get a smile on her face.
“No… no it’s ok” she says forcing a smile on her face. Then something clicks in her head, “No… no it’s not ok I don’t want you to go back to you dimension,” she says her voice rising and Cal looking at her with surprise, “I like you and not like you I like you like you!” She says practically yelling and starting to get tears in her eyes, “I can’t explain it, I fell in love with you at first sight, I’m mean you were different and I have had so much bad luck it stallions when I met you, you were just somepony I could love that’s why I checked up on you during the club!” she almost yelled it. Cal just stood there bewildered at what he was just told. He never knew love with anyone not even his parents. They had so much hatred towards him. He never knew the reason why so he never did question. He was kicked out before he could even get a job. So now for a pony from another dimension that he only knew for a day was telling him this. He thought about it for a long time what was a few seconds felt like years. He thought about it and just thought and it hit him he had never felt the way he had when he was with her and he wondered if it was love that he felt towards her.
He decided that it was there was no other explanation, “I… I think I love you to” he says. They stare into each other’s eyes for the longest of time studying each other’s souls the entire time. They then slowly inch the mouths closer to each other and share a passionate and romantic kiss when they finally break from each other’s lips he say, “Well I think I’m staying in this world a bit longer than I expected” They chuckle at the comment.
“Damn straight you will,” She says smiling at him “now will you walk me home or do I have to trust that I can make it to my house safe and sound?” she asks giving him flirtatious eyes blinking them rapidly.
“And trust every other pony that they won’t kidnap you? No you’re being carried by me to your home” she looks at him like he’s crazy for event thinking of it. Then he bends down and picks her up with both hands earning a giggle from the mare. She was light, a lot lighter then he thought she would weigh, “Now where am I taking my marefriend that I just picked up in one day?”
“To my house and then you can go home” she says quite sternly. She leads him to her house and encounter no intrusions on the way. When they arrive he sets her down, “So ya thanks for the lift quite literally to” The laugh.
“You’re welcome for the ride, so anyways I had a great time tonight.”
“I did to” she leans upward waiting for a passionate kiss. Cal then leans down to give her the kiss she wants this kiss was more passionate and more intense than the one back at the club. When they broke Cal decided to leave. On his way back to the Library he had a more of a giddy in his step. He had finally found love, sure it was love for a pony in an alternate dimension, but it was love no the less. He arrived home and just lumped on the couch and slept dreaming of the night that had happened and it was all good dreams.

Chapter 5: A Dramatic Turn of Events
Cal woke up the next morning happy from the thoughts of the night before. He knew he had to finish meeting everypony that Twilight wanted him to see but all he wanted to do was go over to Vinyl’s house and cuddle and talk with her. He went to the kitchen and saw Twilight making some food for herself, “Morning Twilight” he said. All she did was look at him smiling. He knew by how she was looking at him she knew something.
“So how was your night?” she asked still smiling that knowing smile.
“Uh, good” he said wondering what she meant by that.
“So meet anypony special while you were there?” her smile grew and I knew what she meant by that question.
“How fast does news travel in this world? Seriously” he said groaning ready for being interrogated or teased by her for what had transpired the night in question.
“Well I could have never anticipated this. So are you staying or not?” she said eager for the answer to the question.
“Well I’m staying for as long as possible. I thought about it on the way home and decided to stay” he said. Twilight immediately was ecstatic by the answer she was given, “Is it possible for me to get turned into one of you” he asked almost casually. Twilight stopped in her tracks and just looked at him bewildered.
“Uhh… well I think so but why?” she managed to say after a few minutes of awkward silence.
“Well I also thought about how my life would be affected if I stayed human and lived here and I also decided to be one of you” he said giving a clear and almost reasonable answer.
“Ok I’ll see what I can do” Twilight said as she pulled some books off the shelf.
“Cool and wait until I tell Vinyl about this, I want her opinion” he said heading for the door.
“Oh so that’s who it is” she said looking back at him.
“Huh, I thought you knew?” he said opening the door and leaving.
“No all I knew was that you met somepony and you fell in love with her” she says her smiling ever more growing.
Cal soon blushed realizing that he just gave away his pony lovers name, “Ya well see you later” he says desperate to get out of the situation.
“Bye Cal” Twilight says as he shuts the door behind him.
He soon is wondering around town. He sees Octavia walking around and he realizes that he wasn’t exactly properly introduced, “Hey. Octavia how are you?” he asks running over to the gray mane pony.
“Hello Cal, I’m doing fine I’ve heard about that special somepony” she said smiling at him.
“How has everyone heard about that already?” he says agitated at the news.
“It was in the news don’t exactly know how they got the information but either way who is it” she says intently waiting an answer.
“Well its Vinyl, but don’t go telling everypony I can’t imagine what the press would do if they heard about it” he says giving her a look that makes her back down from telling everypony she knows, “ I was just about to go and ask what she would think if I was to be a pony like you” she only manages to stare at him with disbelieve of what she just heard.
“Ar… are you sure? I mean that’s a big decision, and you’ve only been here for three days” she says not able to turn her gaze away from him.
“I thought about it when I was at the club and on the way home yesterday and I came to a decision of doing it, unless of course Vinyl doesn’t want me to” he said while she continued to stare at him. She finally managed to fix her gaze.
“Ok so... well see you later… I guess” she said trotting away.
“Ya see you later” he says continuing in the direction to Vinyl’s house. He finally makes it to Vinyl’s house after being hounded by a few reporters, but he makes it without them seeing him. He knocks on the door and she comes to the door, “Hey Vin…” he is pulled into the house before he can even finish the sentence.
“Where you seen? Did you tell them? Do you still love me?” she asks in a swift manor.
“No, no, and yes” he says seeing her wash over with relieve, “now I have a question to ask you.” he says Vinyl looking up in wonderment of what the question is, “Well… I thought about it and how would you like me as one of you?” he asks Vinyl staring in bewilderment at the question.
“Uh... what do you mean by that?” she says still shocked at the question.
“I mean I talked to Twilight and she said that I she could turn me into one of you. But I want your approval first” he said staring into her soul through her eyes.
She only managed to stare. Barely able to grasp what he said. She only met him yesterday fell in love with him and now he was asking her permission for something he should decide on his own, “Why do you want me to say” she finally managed to say.
“Well since you’re the one that’s going to live with me being either a pony or a human I wanted to know which you’d rather me be” he said awaiting her answer.
She still didn’t know what to say but she thought about it for what seemed like hours. She finally found the words that where stuck, “I… I want you to choose what you think is best” she said smiling, “I will love you no matter what you are, but you being a pony might bring benefits in bed” they laugh at the comment.
“So I think I’ll be a pony, a lot less press and attention” he says, “but let’s have a little fun while I’m still human shall we?” he asks giving her flirtatious eyes.
“Let’s shall” she says leading him to the bedroom door. For the rest of the day all they did was have sex. No one saw them for the rest of the day and he stayed there through the night as well.
The next day arrived and Cal finally immerged from the house looking like a mess. They already said their goodbyes and wanted to rest. They never took a break the house looked like a miniature tornado found its way inside the house. He had somehow made it back to Twilight’s place without anyone noticing him. If he was spotted looking like this he would certainly be hounded by the press. He closed the door silently so not to wake Twilight, but she was awake and deep in a book.
“Morning Cal haven’t seen you since yesterday, I can see you certainly had fun” she said studying his messy appearance.
“Ya well have you discovered how to turn me into a pony” he asks getting right to the point.
“Well yes it took me awhile but I found a book that would help me cast the spell” she said, “whenever you’re ready I’ll cast the spell”
“Ok well let me get myself cleaned up and could you send a letter to Vinyl and bring her here I want her to see it happen” he says as he is walking to the bathroom for a shower.
“Oh I went and got your clothes from Rarity and there in the bathroom for you” she said as he shut the door.
Once he closed the door he looked into the mirror and was shocked at what he saw. He was a mess and in fact was dirty. He turned on the shower head and undressed and stepped inside. He was only thinking of what his new life would bring, what he would look like, and would Vinyl still love him. Once he was done he thought about one more thing would he already have his cutie mark or would he have to realize it like everypony else had in this world. He quickly got dressed excited and nerves to find the answers to all his questions. He stepped out to see Vinyl sitting on the couch clean and well-kept she must have taken a shower before she came.
“So well this is happening sooner than I thought” she says as he walks down the stairs to join her.
“Ya I thought that to then I thought about how the press would be” The laugh.
“So what do you want to be pegasus, unicorn, or just a normal earth pony” Twilight asks as she reads the book.
“Well as much as I would like to be a unicorn like you or my lover” he says as he gives Vinyl a kiss on her forehead, “but since I arrived I’ve been fascinated on the fact of flying so pegasus if possible” he says hoping he could be.
“Ah ok that’s a lot easier than unicorn because of the magic, but can I get a picture of you so that we can study your... stature” she asks
“That’s fine but uh how long will that take” he asks wanting to get to the transformation.
“It won’t take very long I’ve got my camera right here” she says pulling her camera in view with her magic, “now stand up so I can take one of your front, sides, and back” Cal does as he is told and stands up moves to a position that seems best and she takes her pictures, “Perfect now ready for the transformation” he nods his head and is waiting for his body to change. Twilight casts the spell upon him and he closes his eyes. Magic is flowing through him like a river through a canyon. He can feel it change his body but it doesn’t hurt him. It actually feels very good. His hands slowly close in on themselves and begin to flatten it forms a hoof. His head soon stretches up and his nose and mouth move outwards forming a muzzle. He begins to form hair all over his body it’s a dark blue color and it seems to suit him. He grows a mane and soon a tail follows both bright blue in color. But something doesn’t seem right to him he shrugs it off and is soon set down gently. He looked around and noticed that Vinyl and Twilight were just staring at him, “uh… guys stop starin…” He stopped once he heard his voice. It wasn’t his, well it was but it sounded more high pitched and female. It took him awhile to realize he was just no longer a he. He looked down and what he saw wasn’t a sheath he was a she, “Ahhhhhh” was all Cal could say.
“Uh… I must have done something wrong with the spell” Twilight said frantically looking through the book.
“O god o god o god!” Cal screamed frantically examining her new found body just running around thinking.
“Cal its ok I’m here for you” Vinyl said trying to comfort the new found mare. It seemed to work, “I still love you, and look on the bright side your wings look beautiful” Cal struggled to fan out her wings but she managed to do it and she just admired them and she calmed down. She looked to Twilight and noticed she was done looking.
“Well I found that there is a division between mare transformations and colt transformations, you can guess which I read from, and I kind of depleted my magic so it needs to regenerate for a few days” she said backing down in hopes Cal doesn’t get angry.
She was just about to flip out on Twilight until she remembered what happened last time. She calmly took in a breath and said, “Ok so Vinyl I’m moving in with you I’m afraid I might snap if I stay with Twilight for anytime longer and Twilight,” she looks up at Cal, “I know that you made a mistake and you’re going to correct it but I just don’t want to lash out at you so I’m leaving now ok” She says to the now relaxed mare.
“That’s fine if it’s ok with Vinyl of course” Twilight says still unsure that she wasn’t going to snap right there.
“Of course it’s fine” Vinyl said hugging her loved one in a tight embrace.
“I don’t think I have anything to pack just the clothes that I never really needed” she says thinking about all the work that Rarity must have put into the clothes. She runs upstairs and grabs the cloths quite awkwardly not knowing how to and puts them in a saddlebag that Twilight had given her. She put it onto her back and realizes that she doesn’t know how to fly. She makes a quick note to herself on trying it once they leave the house. She then goes downstairs to join the other mares, “Well I’m read to go, you Vinyl?”
“Whenever you are, see you later Twi” Vinyl said getting up and walking with Cal to the door.
“See you guys or I mean girls” she says teasingly
“Don’t push it Twi” Cal says irritated. They soon leave and make it to the house. Cal tried a few times to fly but only ended up with a mouth full of dirt. She knew now that she needed training and then thought about Rainbow Dash helping her. Of course this would be after she was turned into a colt instead of a mare.
“So now that we’re here what do you want to do” Vinyl asks.
“Rest” Cal said laying on the couch.
“Rest? You go the chance of a life time to experience what a mare experiences and you want to rest?” she says confused.
“Yep, we can do all we want to do tomorrow but right now I want to rest” she says passing out on the couch. Vinyl then grabs a blanket and puts it onto her lover and just lets her sleep. She can only imagine how it would be if she was turned into a colt. She goes off to bed and sleeps for the rest of the day. They did spend a lot of time last night doing it so they both needed this.
