Chapters It all happened a long time ago, in the magical land of Equestria. There were two royal alicorn sisters. The oldest was named Celestia and the youngest was named Luna. The beginning of this story dates back to when the two were just young fillies. One day, the two were just playing hide-and-seek. Celestia was counting and Luna was trying to hide. She was looking beside the fence by the road. Then she saw a young colt walking past. He was a green pegasus with a black mane. He was all dirty and covered in mud. Luna was so busy looking at him, she lost track of time.
"...thirty-eight, thirty-nine, fourty!," cried Celestia, "Ready or not, here I come." She only walked a few steps to find Luna by the fence.
"I found you Luna," she said,"You should probably work on your hiding skills."
"Oh, sorry Celestia. I just got... distracted." Then she pointed to where the colt was.
"Oh my," said Celestia, "He looks like he just got hurt really bad."
"Maybe we should go talk to him," said Luna, "He looks like he has no friends." So the two exited the garden and walked over to where the colt was.
"Hello," said Celestia, "Are you ok?" "Yes," said the colt, "I'm fine." "My name is Celestia," said Celestia,"This is my sister Luna." "It's nice to meet you two," replied the colt, "My name is Tryston Blauvelt."
"It's nice to meet you too Tryston," said Celestia, "We just were wondering, what happened to you?"
"You really want to know?" asked Tryston.
"Yes," replied Celestia.
"Alright," said Tryston,"I was being bullied by some other colts down at the park. They were making fun of me because my parents passed away when I was three. Then they pushed me into a big mud puddle. Then they said I was weak and spineless an a wast of space. I ran away from then and tried to hide so they couldn't see me. I stopped running when I saw that they weren't chasing me anymore. Then I came here and tried to see if there was some pony that I could talk to. Then I met you two."
"Oh my," said Celestia,"You should come inside with us and wash all that mud off."
"Thank you," said Tryston.
So the three of them walked down the path to the door to the castle. "You two live in a castle?" asked Tryston. "Yes," said Celestia. Just then a cold breeze came past them. "We'd better get inside," said Luna. So they entered the castle and walked down the long, continuous halls until they came upon a room. It was the study. The two alicorn sisters walked in and Tryston followed. When they walked in, there were two fully grown alicorns in the room. The first one was a male that was a very dark shade of blue with a dark blue mane. His name was Aretimus. The second was a female that was a shade of white with an orange mane. Her name was Solaris. The two fillies came running up to them.
"Mommy, Daddy," they both said,"We found a friend who needs a place to stay. Can he stay with us, please?" "Well," said Solaris while looking over Tryston, "He seems like a nice pony. I suppose he could stay for the night. But you must get him cleaned at once." "Yes mommy," said the two fillies. So the two took Tryston to the bathroom. After a long bath, Tryston was shining like a star. He was then brought before King and Queen. They said that he looked like he was ready for a special party. Then Celestia and Luna took him outside again and introduced them to their friend that their parents rescued from a manticore. He was a deplodicus named Discord. He was small, but he would soon grow to be big and strong. He showed them a few magic tricks he could do. Then the three ponies went inside and played a pirate game. After all that, Aretimus came in and said it was time to go to bed. So Celestia and Luna climbed into their respective beds. Tryston made himself a bed out of sheets that were in the closet. In no time at all, the three were fast asleep.
The next morning, they all woke up. The three were greeted in the kitchen with a big buffet of food. It all looked wonderful. After eating breakfast, Tryston had to leave. Celestia and Luna watched him off. They hoped he would be back one day. They actually stumbled upon him one day in the park. He was then invited back to the castle. Tryston then had a schedule with Celestia and Luna (with permission from their parents) to stay with them every Friday night. He was there to see Celestia raise the sun for the first time and get her cutie mark. He was also able to see Luna raise the moon for the first time and earn her cutie mark as well. As time went on, soon Tryston and Celestia were soon the same age of 18 and Luna was soon 13. Discord was also 13. Tryston had started to like Celestia, a lot. He didn't know how to approach Celestia, but knew he would eventually tell her.
One day, when Celestia was 19, Tryston came out and told her exactly how he felt about her. Celestia had turned a deep shade of red. "Well,"said Tryston,"I would've told you sooner, but I was nervous. I know you probably don't feel the same, but I can exe..." But he was cut short by Celestia. She gace him a tender, passionet kiss. It lasted for a while, until Celestia broke the kiss. After that, Tryston and Celestia started dating. Discord heard about it and became jealous. After a good 5 years of dating, Tryston went out into town and bought a diamond ring. He was going to meet Celestia in the high mountains, but he never got the chance.
On his way back from town, Tryston got stopped dead in his tracks by Discord.
"Hey Discord," he said, "What's up?"
"Oh nothing,"said Discord,"I just have something to show you. Follow me." So Tryston followed Discord. They soon arrived at the mountains and went into the underground caves. Discord led Tryston to a secluded area of the caves. "Now could you please put that ring down so I can show you this," said Discord.
"Ok," said Tryston putting the ring down,"But I don't see why."
"This is why," replied Discord. Then he snaped his fingers.
"Nothing happened," said Tryston.
"Look down," said Discord. Tryston looked down to see that ice was freezing his body upwards.
"No!!!!" cried Tryston,"Why are you doing this to me Discord!?"
"Isn't it obvious," replied Discord,"I'm sick of no pony giving me attention. I'm sick of not being close to Celestia. I'm sick of you. I was Celestia and Luna's star attraction, until you came around. Do you know how hurt I was, how abandoned I felt since you were around? That all stops now."
"Look Discord," said Tryston, "I was wrong to make you feel that way. I'm sorry."
"See," said Discord, "Now you respect me, because I'm a threat. You won't be getting out of this so easily. I know Celestia is waiting for you, and when You don't show up, she will be heartbroken. Then I will swoop in and save the day. You will be trapped in this ice block, when it is an ice block, until it melts or if some pony saves you. It is highly unlikely that anypony would find you down here. Now I must be off." So Discord picked up the ring and walked away.
"This is not funny Discord!" cried Tryston,"Come back here right now and unfreeze me!" But it was too late. Discord was already gone. "NO!!!!" cried Tryston, "Some pony, any pony!!!!!!! Please!!!!! Help!!!! Plea...." But he was cut short by the freezing ice block that was completed. Now, everything seemed hopeless.
Twilight Sparkle and her friends just got off the train from Ponyville. "I wonder why the princess has called for us this time?" said Twilight.
"Who knows?" said Rainbow Dash,"Maybe she wants us to go on some quest for her or something."
"But whatever it is," replied Applejack,"I'm sure we'll be able to handle it."
"We'd better get going,"said Twilight,"I don't think she'll want us to be late."
So they all started their long journey to the castle. Eventually, they arrived. They soon arrived in the royal chambers of Celestia. "Princess," said Twilight, "Is everything all right?"
"No Twilight," replied Celestia,"There has been commotion going on at the caverns in the park. I called you and your friends because I knew that you would be able to figure out what is going on, and find a solution quickly. That, and all the royal guards that have went there already were to scared to enter."
"Don't worry princess," said Pinkie Pie, "We'll find out what's going on and stop it."
"That is good to here Pinkie," said the princess, "I have faith in you all." Then Twilight and her friends exited in a hurry. They had a lot to do.
Once they arrived at the caves, Twilight and her friends noticed ponies running out in fear. "We'll this is interesting," said Applejack.
"We'll lets not waste any time," said Rainbow Dash, "Lets go in there and find out what's going on."
"I don't know," said Fluttershy, "It looks scary in there."
"There's nothing to worry about darling," replied Rarity, "It's just a quick go in and get out."
"We'd better get moving," said Twilight, "I don't want this to to take to long."
So they all entered the caves. It was a dangerous journey. They soon came across an area that split into two paths. "Ok," said Twilight, "We'll pair off. Rainbow, Pinkie. You two come with me and Spike. Rarity, Fluttershy. You two go with Applejack. We can find more clues that way."
So they all split off into their separate directions. Then Twilight's team came across another split. "Okay," said Twilight, "Spike, you and Rainbow search that section. Pinkie and me will search this section." "No offence Twilight," said Rainbow Dash, "But, who made you boss?" "Do you have a better idea Rainbow?" asked Twilight. "Good point." So they went into their separate areas.
That's when Spike and Rainbow Dash discovered what was probably the source of the problem, quite by accident. Spike was just looking around, when he saw something so spooky, that he made him scream as much, as hard, and as long as his lungs would let him. Rainbow quickly came over to see what he was screaming about. "What's the matter Spike?" she asked. Then she saw what he was staring at, and broke out into a long, and loud scream. Twilight and Pinkie came over to see what was the matter. Then they saw it, a green pegasus with a black mane frozen in a block of ice.
"This must have been what was scaring every pony off," said Twilight, "Pinkie, go find the others."
"Okie Dokie Lokie," said Pinkie, and she was off. Then Twilight turned to Spike and Rainbow Dash.
"Now why did you scream so loud you two?" she asked.
"We'll," replied Spike, " From a far away distance, it looked really scary."
Just then Pinkie arrived with the others. "Well that was fast," said Spike, "But she is Pinkie."
"What is this darling?" asked Rarity. "It's a pony frozen in Ice," replied Rainbow.
"How long do ya recone that fellers been frozen fer?" asked Applejack.
"Judging by the scuffs on the block," answered Twilight, "I'd say over two thousand years. We'd better get him back to the castle so we can thaw him out."
"Why," asked Rainbow, "What if he's evil."
"But what if he isn't Rainbow," said Twilight, "There is a possibility that he could be good. If he's evil, then we'll be able to stop him. We have the Elements of Harmony. We won't know if he's evil or not until we thaw him out. We'll just have to take that risk."
"We'll, alright," said Rainbow, "Let's take him back. But just for the record, until things are cleared up, I've got my eye on him."
"I'm sure he's not evil Dashie," said Pinkie, "Now let's get going." So they all started their long journey back to the castle, with the frozen pony on their backs.
Twilight and her friends arrived back at the castle. They reached the chambers of Princess Celestia so so she could see what they found.
"We're back princess," said Twilight, "And your probably going to be shocked at what we found." Celestia turned her head to see that they had brought back a pony frozen in ice. Then it was even more shocking when she saw who was in it.
"Oh my!" she cried, "So that's what happened to you Tryston."
"I'm sorry princess, but I don't quite follow," said Twilight, "Do you know him?"
"Yes," replied Celestia, "His name is Tryston Blauvelt. I remember him from over two thousand years ago. He and I used to date. But then he mysteriously disappeared and no pony saw him since, until today."
"Wow," said Rainbow, "A pony that dated our princess. Did he treat you good princess? 'Cause if he didn't, then I,m gonna..."
"Yes," replied the princess, "He treated me very kindly. Thank you for the concern. But on our fifth anniversary, he mysteriously disappeared. Now we sort of know what happened, but we don't know who or why. Twilight, do you think you can unfreeze him. We have a lot to catch up on."
"I'll try my best princess," said Twilight.
So Twilight faced Tryston, where he lay frozen in ice. She pointed her horn toward him and it started to glow. Soon, a huge surge of magic shot out, and blasted the ice block. In no time at all, Tryston was unfrozen.
"...eeeaaasssseeee help me!!!!!!!!" he cried, "Huh, where am I?"
"Tryston," said Celestia, "It has been a long time since I've seen you. Last time I saw you was when you left for town."
"Pardon me Celestia," said Tryston, " But what exactly is going on? How long was I gone for?"
"Well," replied Celestia, "You were frozen in a block of ice. Now you have woken up over two thousand years later. Things have changed since you were gone, and your going to need to learn how our new society functions. ... Twilight, could you and your friends teach him the ways of modern Equestria?"
"You can count on us princess," said Twilight, "But we're going to need a place to teach."
"Not a problem," said Celestia, "You can use the Canterlot Library. There should be plenty of books that could help. Of course you are going to need some other items. You are welcome to use any of the royal guards for transport help if needed."
"Thank you princess," said Twilight, "With all the help, we can have everything ready by sundown."
"I have faith in you Twilight," said Celestia, "You and your friends will do great."
So they all exited the room and started work. All, except for Tryston. The princess had a look of worry on her face. "Excuse me Celestia, but why are you so worried?"
"Oh, Tryston," she said, "I just feel so, funny. Like something doesn't feel right even though there is something to be happy about."
"I understand," replied Tryston, "I even just unfroze and don't know what I'm going to do. You know, thousands of years has not done anything to you. You are still very beautiful." Celestia blushed a bright red.
"I appreciate that you still love me Tryston," she said, "But I'm afraid that I can't say the same to you. Though you are still charming, two thousand years is a long time to wait, and break away from something old. What I'm trying to say is that, I can't be yours anymore. I hope there is no hard feelings, but I just don't feel the spark anymore."
"It's okay Celestia," said Tryston, "I understand. Now I'd better go see if any pony needs help."
Then Tryston exited the room, feeling sadder than he had ever felt before. 'Oh why did I do that,' thought Celestia, 'He was my only love that I ever had.'
Tryston walked into the library where the six ponies and dragon were working. At the instant that he walked in, Twilight ran over to him, a clipboard in her aura.
"Tryston," she said, "There you are. I'm sure you were catching up with Celestia. Anyway here's a rough draft of what the design of the room will look like after we're done. What do you think?"
"I must say," said Tryston, "It is impressive. But I would'n know how to judge it considering that I've only been here for a short time. So I say, just continue with your original plans."
"Very well then," said Twilight, "So here's how this is gonna work..." Then she floated the clipboard in front of her. "Applejack and Pinkie Pie are in charge of cafeteria duty, so they are working on that portion. Rarity is working on the decor, so she is using with whatever she can find in her shop. I'll go into that more another time. Fluttershy is in charge of animal behavior classes, so she is off to Ponyville to get some animals and supplies. Rainbow Dash will be in charge of fitness, so she is getting some obstacles set up. And I will be in charge of Math, Science, Writing, and History."
"It sounds like you have everything under control here," said Tryston, "But I sense that you need me for something."
"That is correct," replied Twilight, "We'll need you to attend the classes that are scheduled for you. Spike's working on it right now. You'll probably want to go look at it, just to study it."
"Thank you... Oh, I don't mean to be rude but I don't know your name."
"Oh, I'm sorry. My name is Twilight Sparkle. Once every pony gets back in, I'll introduce you."
"Thank you very much Twilight Sparkle. Is there anything else needed of me at this time?"
"I don't think so, there's else written here that you have to do. But I'm sure something will turn up."
"Much obliged Miss Sparkle."
"Please, just call me Twilight."
So the ponies worked on their assignments without any complaints. It took a lot of physical labor, but they all were working their hardest. In what only seemed like an hour, they got the whole library looking like a classroom. "Well I'll be darn tootin," said Applejack, "We did good."
"I can agree," said Rarity, "It's hard to believe that we got this all done in a day."
"Of coarse we'd get done in a day," replied Rainbow Dash, "You've got me, the fastest pony in Equestria."
"Now I'm not the pony who means to bring others down," said Pinkie Pie, "But where'd that green pony go?"
"You mean Tryston," said Fluttershy
"Yeah him, where is he?"
"Twilight is keeping him distracted," said Rarity, "You remember that part of the plan where we..." Then she whispered into Pinkie's ear.
"Oh yeah!," exclaimed Pinkie, "Now I remember! We should get to it." So all the ponies ran off to the palace, where the last part of their plan could be set into action.

Meanwhile, Twilight and Tryston were walking down the path down by the park. The only reason Twilight was doing this was because of the plan. She was trying to keep Tryston distracted so her friends could carry out the rest of their plan. Right now she was telling him one of the many adventures she and her friends had.
"So then we channeled our energy through the Elements of Harmony and turned Discord back into stone," she said.
"Wow," said Tryston, "You've had a lot of amazing journeys Twilight. Back in my time, I'd barely been outside of Canterlot. Life for me was such a bore, other than dating Celestia. But you've had so many adventures in your life."
"Well, that's how the world works I guess," said Twilight, "But I just have one question."
"Go ahead. I've been frozen in ice for two thousand years and surprisingly got out of it."
"That's my question. Why were you frozen in ice."
"Oh that's simple. Discord froze me in ice because he was jealous of me. He wanted to keep me and Celestia apart so he could have her. After he left me, I was crying out for help, but no pony came. Then, right in the middle of a cry for help, I froze solid. Then I was that way ever since."
"Wow. That sure sounds like Discord. I knew he was trouble, but I didn't know he had a crush on Celestia!"
"And I feel as though he succeeded in his plan. When you and your friends left after I was awoken, I complimented her on how her beauty has increased. But she said that she was no longer interested in me. Now I just want to learn about the workings of Equestria in this time so I can get a job far away from here."
"I understand how you feel Tryston. I was separated from my family when I went to Ponyville. But then I felt better after I made friends. You just need to know that it always gets better."
"You're right Twilight. It's just that Celesia was my only love. I don't think I would be able to find some pony else."
"I'm sure you'll find some pony. Maybe some pony you least expect you love."
Tryston looked down to his hooves. He pieced together what Twilight just said. Finally he looked back to Twilight and smiled. "Thanks Twilight. You are wise beyond your years." Just then the two came upon the center of the park. There on the post was the very Discord entombed in stone.
"Well," said Tryston walking toward the statue, "If it isn't Discord. You don't think I don't remember what you did to me. I suppose you sort of succeeded in your plan to take Celestia. She doesn't want to be with me anymore, but you payed the price. I should finish you once and for all for what you did me in ice, but I'm feeling generous. You can stay in one piece. Consider it a present from an old friend."
"Tryston," said Twilight, "I don't think he can hear you."
"Well," said Tryston looking over to Twilight, "In the event he can here me, I want him to know that after what he did, I don't want to destroy his own being. I think if I was jealous of him doing something, I would probably do something crazy."
"Well do you think we should be getting back to the castle?" asked Twilight.
"Whenever your ready," replied Tryston.
So they started their journey back to the castle. Once they arrived, they entered and Tryston followed Twilight to a specific floor and room. Once they got inside, all Twilight's friends jumped out and yelled,"SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"What's going on?" asked Tryston.
"Well,' said Pinkie, "We thought that your gonna need a place to sleep. So we decided to work on this room so it could be yours."
"Well thank you, all of you," said Tryston, "This is very generous of you."
"There's no need for thanks darling," said Rarity,
"All you have to do is work your flank off to make up for all the centuries you missed out on," said Rainbow Dash
"Very well then," said Tryston, "I feel up for the challenge."
"Then your in for the long haul partner," said Applejack, " 'Cause it's gonna be a long ride."
"Well, you should get to bed," said Twilight, "Your gonna have a long day tomorrow."
"Alright then, Miss Sparkle." Twilight blushed a bright pink. 'It's nice to know he's prepared for addressing his new teacher by miss.' she thought. Then all the ponies exited the room to let Tryston get his rest. But for some reason, Tryston couldn't get to sleep right away.
'There's something about Twilight that seems...odd to me.' he thought. 'I just can't put my hoof on it.'
Tryston woke up to the morning sun. "Oh, I must have dreamed everything." But then he heard the sound of hoof steps in the backround. Then Fluttershy walked into the room. "Oh, mister Tryston," she said, "Your awake, did you enjoy your sleep."
"I did Fluttershy, thank you," said Tryston, "But I'm confused. All of last night seemed like a dream, but it really wasn't."
"That's right," said Fluttershy, "Are you ready to start off your new day."
"I suppose, but I probably won't be satisfactory. I'll try my best though."
"That's good to hear. Anyway, your new schedule is posted in the main corridor. You'll need to be getting up around 6:30 to get ready for your day. Are you ready?"
"I hope so."
So Tryston arose from his slumber. "Come with me," said Fluttershy, "Every pony is waiting for you." So Tryston followed Fluttershy to a small cafeteria where Twilight, Spike, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity were. "Oh, Tryston," said Twilight, "Your awake."
"I indeed am," said Tryston, "Although I had the strangest feeling last night, but I can't explain it."
"I can understand that," said Pinkie Pie, "I have weird dreams all the time. Once I dreamed that every pony turned into muffins, and I ate all of them. That's strange because every pony is usually cupcakes in my dreams." There was a long silence.
"Well," said Rainbow, "Are you ready for today Tryston? 'Cause if you're not, then your in for the ultimate time of your life."
"I'm ready," said Tryston, "Ready to learn what I need so I can get out of this city and get a job somewhere far away. Maybe that will take my mind off recent events."
"I'm glad your ready to learn Tryston," said Twilight, "I'm always ready to learn. I just wish I could find some pony with the similar passion for that. But your probably gonna want some food before we start. I'll show you where it is."
"Thank you kindly, Miss Sparkle," replied Tryston in a teasing tone.
"Please only call me that when school is in session," said Twilight.
"Of course," replied Tryston, "But it was only a joke."
"I know, but still."
So Twilight showed Tryston where the food was. Tryston didn't want to eat much, so he only got himself a blueberry muffin. He came back and took his seat at the table. "Are we all set," asked Twilight to her friends. They all nodded their heads. "Very well. Spike, you stay with Tryston. He's going to need your assistance today."
"You can count on me Twilight," said Spike.
"You don't mind, do you Tryston?" asked Twilight.
"Not at all," said Tryston, "I will be needing a guide."
"Great," replied Twilight, "Come on girls."
With that, Twilight and her friends exited the room. "What was that all about?" asked Tryston.
"They're getting finished with the preparations," replied Spike, "So, you ready?"
"Of course," said Tryston, "I've been waiting for two thousand years after all."
After a few minutes, the clock reached 7:00. "Alright," said Spike, "It's time for class, student Tryston. Are you sure your ready?" "I'm ready Spike," replied Tryston, after swallowing the last of the muffin down, "Lets do this."
So the two got up from their seats and Tryston began following Spike. Spike let him down the hall and to a certain room. "This is where your school day will start," he said, "Once you enter, there will be things you need that are supplied for you. You'll find that out in a few minutes. Are you sure your ready?"
"Yes I am," said Tryston confidently, "I'm as ready as I'll ever be."
"Then the best of luck to you. Oh, one more thing."
"What is it?"
"Don't try to mess with Rarity. She's mine. Nothing will change that."
"Okay then, wait what? I wasn't even thinking anything like that. I don't even think I would go that low. I don't even have a lover anymore, so I don't plan on having a relationship anytime soon. Are you and her, you know, dating?"
"No we're not, but I know it's gonna happen one day, and I don't want any pony to steel her. Also, sorry about the question, I kind of forgot. I get really nervous about those kinds of things."
"That's alright, I probably would've done the same."
"Yeah. Well, we should probably go in now."
"Alright, lets get started." So Tryston opened the door and he and Spike entered the room. In there waiting for them was Twilight, all dressed up fancy for teaching. She appeared to be writing on a blackboard. She turned around to see the two figures that entered.
"There you two are," she said, "Class is about to start."
"And a good morning to you too," retorted Spike.
'This should be interesting', thought Tryston.Then Twilight finished writing on the board and turned around to face the class. "
"Good morning class," she said, "My name is Miss Sparkle. I will be your guide to Equestria's History, Math, English, and Science. There are other teachers here for specials that you will also need to know. In order to keep track of what classes you have, you will be given a schedule to follow. You are expected to be on time for all classes. But for the first week, we'll cut you some slack so you can get used to the flow of things. The next thing you will get is an agenda that should come in handy for remembering homework assignments. The last thing is a folder to keep your homework assignments. Now since this is the first week, we'll be doing some fun activities to get us ready for the flow of the few weeks we have together. For our first activity, we'll be getting our stuff organized so we're ready for the year. Now you all will get some paper, one saying 'To Do' and one saying 'Done.' What you'll do is open your folder and tape these papers to it. Tape the 'To Do' paper on the left, and the 'Done' paper on the right. Tape will be provided for you to use." Then Twilight pointed to a basket of tape roles on a table. "Now, I'm sure some classmates will help you if you ask. In about five minutes, we will meet back up and discuss the next part. Now you may begin."
"I'll get the tape and the papers," said Spike. He was soon up and back in a few seconds. "Here you are," he said as he handed Tryston the two papers he needed. "Thanks Spike."
"You want me to help with the tape?"
"Yes please."
"Alright." So Spike took the tape role and cut a piece off. "Now hold the paper still please." Tryston obeyed. Then Spike put the piece of tape over it. They repeated the same with the other. As they did so, Tryston spoke. "So, you like Rarity?" "That's right," replied Spike, "I know one day we'll be together. I just know it." Once the job was finished, they turned to face to front.
"Alright every pony, and dragon, the next thing we're going to do is customize our folders. You can use whatever is in this basket to do so. The rest of the time is yours so, you may begin." So Tryston turned to Spike. "You go anything going on later?" he asked.
"Not really," said Spike, "Aside from helping Twilight get ready for tomorrow, I'm free. It'll probably only take an hour. Why do you ask?"
"Well, I need your help with something. I get the feeling that there are more females in this modern Equestria than from my time. I need your advice on what I should do so I don't seem like I'm trying to start a romantic relationship I don't want."
"Oh, I understand. I'll just tell you that if you just act natural without any intention of anything, nothing will happen. That usually is what can happen, but the mare sometimes wants the colt forever so much that nothing will stop them. But at the rate your going, you'll be fine for a good few months."
"Thank you, I think. So, since your age of art is different from my age of art, could you give me some tips on what is so called 'in style'."
"No problem man, you came to the right dragon." So Spike went up to the box of supplies and pulled out a few colored pencils. "Now, what we want to do is start with things you like, and go from there."
So the rest of the time was spent customizing Tryston's folder. In the end, Tryston was left with a design that had all sorts of cool pointy spikes and lightning bolts, with a vortex in the middle. "Wow," said Tryston, "That looks amazing!" Just then a bell was heard ringing. "Class is dismissed," said Twilight. So Tryston and Spike exited the room. "Who's next?" asked Tryston. "That would be Rarity," said Spike. So the two set off to the next room.

The rest of the day was spent getting to experience the new classes that Tryston had. Once the day was over, Tryston and Spike were walking down the halls. "Spike," said Tryston. Spike looked up at Tryston. "I just want you to know, that I'm not trying to make you feel neglected. I know your use to being the only male here, and that you probably go on all sorts of adventures with the girls. You are original and can't be replaced. You may feel offended by me coming here and taking most of your friend's time, but they will always have a place for you."
"Thanks, but, why are you telling me this?"
"Because I know a certain someone that reacted like that once towards me. In fact that's how I ended up in that ice block, and I remember very well. Now that I'm out and need some ponies to teach me, I don't want any pony, or dragon, to feel abandoned because of it." There was a long silence.
"Who was it that froze you."
"I don't feel like I should say. I don't want to keep a secret from the others."
"Then you can tell all of us when we get back to your room."
".... Okay."
So the two continued walking until they came across one of the royal guards. "There you two are," he said, "You are needed in discussion room one." "Alright then," said Spike, "Come on Tryston, we'd better get moving."
Things that Happen at Night
Spike and Tryston arrived in the at their destination. Once they walked inside, all they could see was darkness. "Oh dear," said Tryston, "It seems as though we have the wrong room."
"No," said Spike, "This is the right place."
"Well, that's strange."
Just then, all the lights came on in a flash, and there was a noise that sounded like some ponies yelling 'SURPRISE'. Tryston jumped as soon as he heard that. But he realized it was only Twilight, Pinkie, Rainbow, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, And Celestia. "Welcome Tryston," said Pinkie, "To your annual Welcome Back to Equestria Party Extravaganza!!!!!!!"
"I believe what Pinkie's trying to say," said Rarity, "Is that we are holding this event to celebrate you returning to Equestria from being frozen in ice. And I must say, Pinkie has outdone herself yet again."
"Long story short," said Rainbow, "We're here to party, so lets get started!" With that, Pinkie somehow pulled out a record player, and stared it. "What's a party without music?" she said.
With that, the party began. Every pony in the room was dancing to the fast music that was playing. Tryston was puzzled on what music it was, but he just went with the flow. He eventually got the idea, and started to dance as hard as he could. Pretty soon, the others started following his moves. Rainbow Dash seemed to be jealous.
"Hey new guy!" she called, "I challenge you to a dance off!" The whole crowd froze.
"Very well then," replied Tryston.
"Fine, you asked for it," said Rainbow.

In the end, Tryston trumped Rainbow by far. "Well well well," she said, "You've proved yourself cool in my book."
"Thank you," said Tryston, "That, means a lot."
"No problem," she said. Then she flew off to join the others. Tryston meanwhile began to walk over to a nearby balcony. Twilight noticed him, and she decided to follow.
Twilight found him on the balcony staring out into the distance. "Tryston," she said, "Are you alright?"
"Huh? Oh, hello Miss Sparkle," he said, "I didn't know you'd be out here."
"Tryston, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, it's just... strange." Twilight eyed Tryston in confusion.
"I mean this world now," he said, "Two thousand years ago, enough time to forget, and it just feels like yesterday. In my view, that is true. Things are, different now. All my old friends are gone, all those towns I knew are gone, and my only love ever, has her heart set for another. Things are not the same as they once were. It's all gone. It was two thousand years, two thousand years! And Celestia expects everything to be fine, but it won't. I'm thankful that there are ones that wish to help me understand what goes on now, but that won't help. Nothing can erase what happened to me. How do you go on when all you knew is gone?"
Twilight knew just what to say. "Tryston," she said, "It may seem that way, but you will always have Equestria as you once knew it, in here,"then she pointed to her heart, "Times change. Ponies come and go, and if you can't adapt, you decompose." Tryston just turned away. "Don't push others away," Twilight continued, "If something happened to them you'd never forgive yourself. Trust me, I know." Tryston turned back to Twilight.
"I'm sorry," he said, "It's just, so hard to forget something like what I suffered from." Twilight walked over to Tryston and rested a hoof on his shoulder. "I know you can get through it," she said, "And me and my friends can help you. Now lets get back inside."
So the two walked back inside to find, no pony there. "Oh my," said Tryston, "It would seem that your friends left."
"That's alright," said Twilight, "I'll see you in the morning."
"Wait," said Tryston, "Before you go, would you... like to dance?" There was a long silence.
"Well," said Twilight, "It's just, I've never danced with a colt before. I wouldn't want to mess up." Tryston just flashed a smile. He took one of her hooves in his own.
"If I can unfreeze from two thousand years, you can dance." And with that, they slowly started to sway back and forth. Soon, they both started to get into the rhythm. One, two, three, swing. One, two, three, swing, twirl. This went on for a while. It seemed as though it would last forever, but all good things must come to an end. After a good half hour, the two finally stopped. There was once again a long silence between the two. Finally, Twilight spoke.
"I guess I can dance like that," she said, "Thank you Tryston."
"What did I do?" asked Tryston.
"You showed me that I am able to dance with a colt. That is something I never thought I could do."
"Well, um, your welcome."
"Now I'd better get going. The others are probably wondering where I am."
"Alright then, see you tomorrow, Miss Sparkle."
"You too, Mr. Blauvelt." And with that, the two exited the room, and went their separate directions.
' There's that strange feeling again,' thought Tryston, ' Somethings going on, and I'll find it out.'
