This fanfic retcons Equestria Girls and instead replaces it with something far more action-packed. When the Homunculus Sunset Shimmer (in this fanfic, she takes on her human appearance) steals Twilight's crown and tries to escape through the magic mirror that spawned the aforementioned abomination, the mirror explodes and sends her flying to an unknown location along with the crown. Trixie explains that she sabotaged the mirror so that the quest to get back the crown would have a lot more action than a paint-by-numbers highschool movie where the final (and only) battle isn't epic at all. Cue epic adventure.
