Day 1: The Over-Due Book, by Princess Twilight Sparkle
Spike, take a note.
Dear Reader,
I am Princess Twilight Sparkle the Alicorn, the Princess of Friendship, and was once the faithful pupil of Princess Celestia. I am currently living in a crystal castle that took the place of my library after it was burnt down.
I was sent a letter by Doctor Whofan, code named '611' or 'F.A.A.', whom requested me to write to him something that happened to me this week. I was rather crossed with him because of what he sent a few weeks back to Pinkie Pie and the things that happened because of it. But after some consideration, I have decided to follow his request and have my Number One Assistant, Spike the Dragon, to write it all down for me.
“You got that, Spike?”
“Yep! 'Ready when you are!”
“Okay. Ahem, ”
I hope you will enjoy.
Your Faithful Writer,
Princess Twilight Sparkle
It was the 8th of February of the 1,004th year of Celestia’s reign. I was just finishing up on re-shelving my books in my Chrystal library for Spring-cleaning, while Spike dusted the whole castle. We were almost done, when suddenly came a knock on the door.
“I got it!” Spike shouted as he headed for the door. I decided to let him handle whatever it was and continued to organize my books. “Hey, Twilight!” Spike called as he entered my library.
“Yes, Spike?” I asked.
“It’s Derpy-” he was about to say before I gave him a glare for using her nickname the residence of Ponyville calls her. “-ah, Ditzy Doo ,” Spike corrected himself. “Ah… is it ‘Request for your presence’ or something…?” he asked. I laughed, then told him he didn’t have to do that. He shrugged, then skipped to the point. “Anyway, Ditzy Doo wants to see you basically.”
“I’ll be on my way.” I told him, then flew my way to the entrance of my castle to greet Ditzy. “Ah, hello Ditzy,” I greeted. She saluted, her one eye rolled down while the other focused on me. She… does that. She's a pegasus, and, not meaning to be rude, but… has a slight problem since birth. Ponies make fun of her for that, and calls her ‘Derpy Hooves’. “Ah… yeah, thank you…?” I said, unsure of how to respond to that.
“Wait, am I doing it wrong?” Ditzy asked. “Oh, I remember now!” she bowed. I avoided the temptation to laugh, and cleared my throat.
“Ahem, arise, my subject.” I said with a forced, stern expression. I’ve been a Princess for two years, and I’m starting to get use to it. Ditzy didn’t raise. She didn't understood. “Um… you… can get up now.” I rephrased. She continued to bow. “... you can stop bowing down now…” I rephrased once again, and this time she understood. She rose right back up with a gasp for air. She most of held her breath the whole time. Ditzy Doo is a bit… not in the right mind, sometimes. But she writes good poems, though.
She stood still with a smile, waiting for me to say something.
“Ah… what do you want, Ditzy?” I asked. Silence. “... can I help you…?” After another moment of silence, she finally spoke.
“Permission to speak, sir!” she stated with another salute. Once again, I held back a laugh.
“Permission granted, Ditzy.” I answered. She suddenly gave me an odd look.
“'Purr… mish… in'…? What’s that?” she asked. Somehow I managed to keep a hold of myself and didn’t smack my head onto the side of the door.
“So you want a book , a thing with writing on paper…”
“Ah, ha.”
“And you came here to my big, shiny house, my crystal-castle… ”
“Yeah.”
“And you came here to my library , a place where I have those paper-books...”
“Sure.”
“So you want to borrow one of my books in my library…?” I asked carefully, hoping there wouldn’t be another misunderstanding.
“... yup!”
I sighed with relief. I thought our conversation would have never end! We trotted on our way to the library. Luckily most of my re-shelving had been done before I had somepony come over.
“We’re here,” I said. “So, what book do you want to borrow?” I asked.
“‘Borrow’? Why would I want to borrow? Isn’t that wrong?” Ditzy asked.
“Um… how so?” I asked.
“Don’t you know what borrowing is?” she asked, then whispered in my ear, "It’s against the law…”
I was comfortable with her enough at that point to chuckle. “Oh, don’t you mean stealing? ” I asked.
“Isn’t that the same thing?” Ditzy asked with a confused look. I do admit that those words can be confusing, considering that thieves often say ‘Barrow’, so that mistake was understandable.
“No, not really.” I explained. “Stealing is the act of taking something that does not belong to you without permission, and borrowing is the act of asking permission to use something that belongs to somepony else, and returning it when your done using the said-item before a due-date.” Ditzy continued to look puzzled. I sighed. “Stealing is wrong, borrowing is fine.” I simplified.
“Ohhh…” Ditzy finally understood, and looked behind me with her one shocked eye like I told her the secret of life. “That’s… deep…”
“Um… thank you…?” I said. “... anyway, what book do you want to borrow?” I asked. I turned and levitated a few books. “One I would personally suggest is ‘Slumber 101: Everything You Need to Know About Slumber Parties and Are Too Afraid to Ask’. It’s my own personally-made copy! Oh, I know! How about ‘Star Swirl the Bearded’? It’s a nonfiction novel. Oh, how about this cookbook? It has muffins. I know how you li-” before I could even finish my sentence, I suddenly heard a whole shelf of my books fall. ‘How can any of the shelves fall?’ I thought, for all the shelves are a part of the crystal-walls. I looked behind me and saw that all my books fell from one shelf, all over the floor in piles while the shelf remained in it's place, while Ditzy Doo flew in the air with an embarrassed look.
“Sorry, your honor. I just don’t know what went wrong…” she apologized. I hadn’t mention how clumsy she was. That is where her names ‘Ditzy Doo’ and ‘Derpy Hooves’ comes from. But this… I just have no idea how that could happen so swiftly, and not to mention how that was done by accident! I stood there agape, my mind questioned everything about that just happened. “Ah… sir, why is your mouth open…? Are you hungry…?” Ditzy asked with a puzzled look. I shook my head.
“Ah, no. No I’m not. Anyway, which book would you-”
“- The one you just mentioned.” Ditzy interrupted.
“...Ah… the cookbook?”
“No, the first one!”
“‘Slumber 101’?”
“No, the one after that!”
“The Starswirl novel?”
“Yes, that!”
“Well, um… okay. Now that I think about it, I like that book. I think I’ll read it again as soon as you're done, okay?”
“Okay.”
“Here you go. Enjoy!”
“Yes sir!”
I paced around the center of my castle while I felt extremely anxious.
“What’s wrong, Twi'?” asked one of my five best friends, Applejack, an earthpony, whom was just about to exit the door after our meeting, or ‘Hang out’ Spike and Rainbow Dash calls it. (Another best friend of mine)
“Oh… nothing, nothing… everything is justswell. ” I answered, my voice filled with stress. Which made Applejack think otherwise.
“Sugarcube, ah' think there’s somethin’ wrong.” She stated. “Jus’ tell me, hon'. What’s wrong?” she asked with her assuring, honest voice.
“Well… it’s been six weeks…”
“'Since what?”
“Since Ditzy Doo decided to borrow my Starswirl nonfiction novel.”
“Oof! That’s a problem. She’s always fer’getin’ stuff. ‘Reason why she was fired at the mail office months ago, and ya’ shouldn’t even get me started on how she was fired from the package delivery thing...”
“Well, you don’t have to. I think I might be able to guess why…” I told her, remembering the time when a anvil, a piano, and other sorts of items that dropped on my head years ago before I became an Alicorn. I still wonder to this day how I survived that.
“Look, sugar-cube; she aint' gonna’ return it anytime soon. Ah’ think you should go ta’ Ditzy’s house n’ ask fer’ it back.”
“Maybe she’s been wearing it on her head or using it as an eye patch or something, that feather-brain!” came Rainbow Dashe's voice in the distance.
“Rainbow!” Applejack spat.
“What? It’s true!” Applejack and I heard Rainbow call back.
“Look, I’ll just head over and get my book back,” I told her, then added with a low voice, “And you can smack Rainbow Dash in the head for me. (if you can reach her while she’s in the air, that is)”
“'With pleasure!” Applejack replied with a smirk.
“I heard that!” Rainbow yelled.
“Ready or not, here I come!” Applejack called back, then went after her.
I knocked on the door, then it suddenly opened. It was obviously unlocked, it wasn't even completely closed. I decided to let myself in since I couldn’t afford to wait another minute to get my book back.
“Hello? Ditzy, are you home?” I asked. She sat in the middle of her rug in her living room and looked in my direction while she wore a gasmask.
“Are you my mummy?” she asked while reached out her hooves to find me, barely able to see through the mask’s dusty lenses. She pulled it off to get a clear look at me. “Oh, you're not my mummy,” she noted. “You sound like her, though. Do you want a muffin?”
“Um, no. I’m good. No thank you.” I answered.
“I’ll take that as a ‘Yes’. Muffins it is!” Ditzy replied with a smile. I wanted to make it clear that I didn’t want one, but before I did, she dashed her way to her kitchen and brought back some freshly, baked muffins. “They’re ready, just in time!”
“Um… thanks.” I said an awkward smile, then levitated a muffin. She sat down right where she stood, with the muffin liner on the ground next to her. “Um… do you think we should maybe get some plates first?” I asked.
“What’s a 'plate'?” Ditzy wondered with a puzzled look.
“Nothing, nothing. Never mind…” I told her, then decided to play along and sat down, with my muffin as well. “So, um… I recall you borrowed one of my books,” I said to proceed straight to the point. Ditzy gave me a puzzled look. “... you. Have. One. Of. My. Books.” I said insultingly, yet slowly and clearly. I got impatient at that point. But lucky for me, Ditzy didn’t seem to be offended by that.
“You mean those paper-things?” she asked.
“Yes, the thing with the paper with words on it!” I answered.
“Oh, I’ll get it!” she said, then headed to her living-room. She returned with a pirate hat, and held it upside down. Before I asked, she dropped it on the ground with a thud, and pulled out my Starswirl the bearded book. She slipped on the said hat and gave me a salute. “Ahoy, matie!”
“Ahoy!” I replied with a wave and smile. I picked up the book with my levitation spell, next to my muffin that only had three bites. Surprisingly, the whole muffin liner was already completely empty. “Um… it was nice… I’ll… see you later?” I awkwardly said, before I started to leave.
“Sure,” Ditzy replied as I headed my way to the door. “And, Twilight?” she suddenly asked before I left the door. I stopped. “Thanks for the book… I liked it. I especially liked the part where the book said, ‘Starswirl had to keep a protection spell on his precious scrolls so no unicorn could steal them and claim they invented the spells, the pirates they were.’ I like pirates. And I cried when Starswirl lost his ‘Mummy’ in that horrible smoke from the sleepy dragon when he was only a foal. That was sad. His mummy use to bake him something before he even asked. Well, you know, with what little food they had during that time.”
I felt shocked at how much she actually knew and read. I then decided to stay, and shared a few of my thoughts with her. And soon after, we had some long conversations, and even started a minor book club between us. Ditzy Doo may not be in the right mind at times, but when it comes to literature; she seems to fully grasp things and understand it all, even if it uses big words she doesn't know the meaning of, like understanding an opera even know they sing in a foreign language.
After that fateful day, I learned to never judge a pony at first sight, that no matter how odd they seem; they will always deserve the best of respect and friendship.

Day 2: The Wheatworms, by Applejack
Spike, write this f'r me, sugarcube.
Howdy, y'all!
I’m Applejack, the loyalist of friends, 'n' most dependable of ponies. I work in my farm, Sweet Apple Anchors, with my family, the Apples!
So, I got this letter from this ‘DrWhoFan’ fella with a number ‘611’ 'r somethin’, sayin' he wants me t' write a story about me f'r him. Twilight told me ‘bout this, 'says that she herself got a letter too 'n’ wrote about the time Ditzy borrowed a book. So, I accept, 'n’ have Spike write this fur me.
Hope y’all will like it!
Y'r Honest writer,
It all started nice 'n' early in the morin’, you see, when I was a-buckin' 'em apples- like I always do. It woulda had been a perfect time f'r buckin’ apples if it weren't f'r what I discovered on that fateful day.
“What in tarnation!? ” I asked when one of my apples rocked in a odd way. I looked closely at the apple, th'n somethin’ popped out. I flinched, then saw what it was. “Worms,” I said aloud. “Jus’ typical. 'Looks like that one’s a-goin’ t' waste.” I pushed the apple ont' the ground f'r it t’ suffer that disgustin’, ugly, no-good-free-loadin’ worm. I carried the basket on the way back t' the farm, 'n' whistled my favorite tune t' myself on the way.
“What in tarnation is that!? ” my little sis', Applebloom, exclaimed while she was a-pointin’ at my basket. I looked, 'n’ saw the whole thing started t’ shake.
“What in Celestia’s mane…?" I mumbled t' myself. I dropped it down t' take a look, th'n suddenly there came 'em worms everywhere, in every apple! I stared at them with a very cold, disgusted look. 'Em worms eat like a starvin' 'coon berried 'n a trashcan 'n a cold win'r day. I could hear my big brother, Big Macintosh, stop his wagon suddenly. He definitely saw them worms that was in my basket. “Big Mac'…” I said, “... it’s a-startin’ again, is it?”
“Eeyup.” he answered.
“Time f'r a little pesk control?”
“Eeyup.”
“Big Mac... we need Granny Smith...”
“Eeyup... I’ll get her…”
“-... why, those disgustin’, ugly, no-good-free-loadin’ worms! They’re worth not'in’, I tells ya! Not'in’!” said my good ol’ Granny Smith, the oldest of us all. “Why, we hadn’t had a wheatworm plague since I was a little filly, like Applebloom is now.”
“Hey! Ah ain't little!” spat little Applebloom.
“Hush now, sugarcube. The grownups are a-talkin’.” I ordered her.
“Anyway,” Granny continued. “From what I remember back in my day, was that we use to smoke 'em wheatworms out with that ol’ bee smoker we used. I think itmight of worked... it’s worth a try.”
“Ah heard you can kill a worm with wheat!” Applebloom rudely interrupted.
“Not now, Applebloom!” I scolded. “Now, where did our great grandparents even keep that ol’ bee smoker?” I asked Granny.
“Ohhh … I can’t remember! It’s been so long, I don’t think I remember where pa 'n’ ma kept it! It could be in the kitchen, or the apple cellular, or in the attic, or-”
“- Or maybe right here.” said Big Macintosh, and gestured to the dusty ol’ drawer.
“Ah, good job Big Mac!” I congratulated.
“Now wait jus' one pony-pickin' moment; so if ah talk after Granny was done talkin’, y’all take it interruptin’. But if Big Mac' talks while Granny was a-talkin’, y’all say, ‘Good job’!? ” Applebloom whined.
“Why, Applebloom! I told you t’ hush! Now be a good little filly 'n’ stay outta the way so the big ponies can handle it, you hear!?” I scolded her with a stern look.
“But-"
“- No buts, Applebloom! To y'r room, now!!! ” I yelled. She gave me the stink-eye, that little stinker, then crawled her way upstairs t' her room- like I told her to. And she thought I wasn’t a-lookin’ when she stuck her tongue out before she got in her door.
“Ah… AJ?” said Big Macintosh.
“What!? ” I asked.
“I think you were bein' a bit harsh there.” he stated.
“Why, in all the- didn't ya see how Applebloom was disrespectin’ me back there!? Bic Mac', she’s just a little filly!”
“You d'rn tootin’! Why, I was just as irresponsible when I was a little filly. When my parents told me t’ hush 'n' I kept on a-talkin’ anyways, they woulda give me a good spankin’! Y'r kinder compared t' how foals were raised back in my day.” Granny Smith agreed.
“Well, I think y'all should listen to Applebloom a little more. She’s smart filly, you know. Size just does not matter sometimes.” Big Mac advised.
“Why, out of all the wise things you had ever said, that’s the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard! She’s a filly, I'm a mare, 'n’ you're a stallion. She’s a little pony, we’re big ponies. Got it!? ” I angrily spat with a close glare, shootin’ him right in the eye. He stayed silent 'n’ calm, like he always is. So I considered that close enough to a 'yes', then moved on. “Now, let's get a move on! We got some wheatworms t’ get rid of!”
“Alrighty, you lazy, mindless, free-loadin’ varmints! We work f'r our food, 'n’ ponies pay f'r our food! Now it’s y'r turn t’ pay; y’all are a-gonna’ be wiped out, you hear!? Even it’s the last thing I do!" I announced to 'em worms proudly while I aimed the smoke gun at the same wagon of apples I found 'em in ('n' most of those perfectly good apples had been ruined 'n’ ready t’ rot, those poor things). "Prepare t' be exterminated!” after I said that, Big Macintosh shuddered at the word. (well, as clearly frightened as he could get, really) Gave him the willies f'r some reason.
“Wait f'r it…! ” Granny yelled while she wore a silver helmet made f'r war. ('n’ t’ pressure 'em jars f'r zap-apple jam season) “Ready… FIRE!!! ”
Right on her command, I shot a ton of smoke right towards the wagon. “Ha! How do like them apples, you freeloaders! Oh, wait, y’all can’t enjoy 'em no more, Y'R ILLIMIMATED! HA!!! ”
“Um… AJ…"
"Yeah, Big Mac'?"
“I know this sounds like somethin’ we said three years ago on applebuck-season, but… ‘how do you like them apples’?”
At first I didn’t get what he was sayin’, but then the apple trees started t’ shake, 'n’ out came the worms all over our field as far as I could see!
(Twilight told me to add that after that episode, Twilight calculated that only 25% of AJ's field was infested on that day, not all of it. -Spike)
F'r once Big Macintosh was right, but I honestly wished he wasn't that time.
“Celestia! Now that’s jus’ dandy, Luna-d'rn dandy!” I swore.
“Applejack! You watch that little ol’ mouth of y'rs, young filly! Why, back in my day, I would'a' been slapped f'r that!” Granny scolded.
“Sorry Granny…" I said through my teeth, then looked at the entire chaos with my own scared little eyes. “... my apples… sweet Celestia, my apples…” I stared off int' the distance with eyes of absolute horror. I was so close t’ losin’ hope. It was like… like I was watchin’ my home burn down, 'n' I couldn't do anything about it. You know what it's like to make somethin' you worked real hard on, then have some distasteful pony who doesn't even appreciate y'r work destroy 'n' consume it? Well, that was basically what I was a-feelin’. Why, that's really sayin' somethin', 'cause I ain't normally all that dramatic! (that’s Rarity’s job. Friend of mine) “Big Mac'…?” I asked t' break the sad silence between the three of us.
“Yes, AJ…?”
“What now…? If we smoke 'em again, they’ll jus’ spread over to the other crops 'n’ stands 'n' ruin everypony else’s work.”
“Eeyup.” Big Mac replied.
“So, Big Mac'... got any ideas?” I asked. Granny looked up t’ Big Mac' as well. Together, Granny 'n' I waited f'r somethin’ nice 'n’ deep. We needed it right then. After a moment of silence, he finally answered.
“... I don’t know.”
Those were the words we would had never heard him spoke in that sorta time. He had nothin’, 'n’ it was obvious then that Granny was outta’ ideas too, 'n’ I’m sure as sugar y’all can already tell that I was out too. We stood there; hopeless, unable t' do anythin' about it as all 'em wheatworms enjoyed their winnin’s. I still hear them laughin’ t' this day at me f'r how foolish we all were.
“Stand aside! Twilight’s a-comin’ through!” Applebloom suddenly announced.
“Applebloom! I toldcho t’ stay in y'r room!” I scolded.
“There’s no time f'r that now! Ah asked Twilight ‘bout mah idea, 'n’ ah think-”
“- Why, Applebloom; if I would have said that when I was a little filly, my parents woulda-”
“- Who cares right now, Granny!? There’s somethin’ serious a-goin’ on now! Not 'back in y'r' day'!”
“Applebloom!” I scolded.
“Listen to her!” Twilight ordered. She's another friend of mine. She’s an alicorn; princess too.
“She’s right. Applebloom’s plan just might work. She has got the Princess of Friendship herself on her side, so it must be good.” Big Mac' defended. “Applebloom, Twilight…?” he gestured them t' continue.
“Thanks, big brother,” Applebloom thanked with a smile. “Finally! Phew! Now, as we all know now; smokin’ the worms out didn’t work, right? So, as ah tried t' say earlier; ah’d learned in school last week ‘bout how wheat can kill worms , which was what they were famous for. So they call 'em ‘wheatworms’.” she explained, then looked t' Twilight.
“Applebloom told me of her idea, and I too had studied the same subject a year ago. So after a quick re-read through my book, ‘Handling Worms: Tricks and Techniques That May Help with Your Crops When They are Infested’, to refresh my memory; I did a few quick experiments to test the theory that I may be able to clear all the wheatworms by combining the spreading with the multiplying spell I just learned yesterday. So I think this might work.” Twilight added.
“You ‘think’!? You mean ya don’t know f'r sure!? How much worse can things get if it turns out it doesn't work!?” I yelled in a panicked tone.
“Well, how much worse can things get f'r us at this point!? The spell's as simple as this; add 'n’ spread, nuttin’ more! Not like the time when Twilight made the parasprites stopped eatin' all the food!” Applebloom pointed.
"I told you not to mention that again..." Twilight grumbled with a blush.
"Sorry, Twi'..." Applebloom muttered back.
“Well, I-... it's jus-...” I tried t’ argue, but I jus’ couldn’t. I turned t’ Big Mac' f'r advice. “Big Mac... Applebloom is jus’ talkin’ nonsense, right...?”
“Eenope.”
“But… I'm-... it must be-... there’s another way, is there...?”
“Eenope.”
“So… we’ll jus' have t' have faith in Applebloom 'n’ Twilight since there’s no other choice, then?”
“Eeyup.”
I sighed. “... fine… Twilight, do it. Do y'r magic… go with Applebloom’s idea… she-… she jus’ might be right this time…”
“That's the sprit, Applejack! That's all I needed to hear." Twilight said determinedly and encouragingly with a grin.
“Why, Applejack; if I woulda done that back in my day-” Granny tried t' give another lecture, but her voice was muted out from the sound of Twilight’s magic shinin’ through. And then that one little thing; that small, tiny, insignificant little piece of wheat multiplied int' thousands, then flew through my field. And before I knew it, all the worms fell dead.
We won, 'n’ they lost…
(Twilight and I helped Applejack pull through most of those personal details on her feud between her and Applebloom, and we had already pushed hard enough. Applejack said she is not willing to go over what happened next in detail, but the least she gave me was that there were tears and apologies, and also added what she learned afterwards -Spike)
From that day on, I learned t’ always listen t' other ponies, big 'r small. I shouldn’t of let my pride get the best of me; but now I know t' listen to the others' opinions, 'n’ maybe you might learn somethin’.

Day 3: The Wonderbolt Tickets, by Rainbow Dash
Spike, write this down, will ya?
'Sup?
The name’s Dash, Rainbow Danger Dash. I work with the weather team, fly around, like, really fast, practice stunts so I can one day amaze the Wonderbolts, and did I mention how fast I can fly? Yeah, I’m basically, like, the most awesome thing alive!
So anyway, I was just chillin’ around. Ya know, takin' a nap, when I found this wierd letter from this Doctor, who’s the 611th Fan of somepony named ‘Who’ or something, askin' me to write him something about somethin' that happened to me recently. I thought it was kinda sketchy at first, so I asked my friends about it. Turns out, Twilight and Applejack said they got letters too. Twilight basically wrote about books (egghead~), and AJ wrote about apples. So, yeah, get ready for me to write somethin' 20% cooler than that!
Bet you’ll like it!
Your Awesome Writer,
I knew this day was just going to be awesome right from the start! It turned out a bit weird and unexpected, though, but it was still awesome! It all started when I woke up on the most awesome way. I woke up (like, dah, I just said that), and I flew up with an awesome flip and landed perfectly on my hooves, all on purpose!
Next, pretty much the usual; shower with rainwater, grass pancakes for breakfast, blah, blah, blah. Boring! If this story is suppose to be boring, then that would basically be Twilight’s story!
(I made complete sure Twilight never saw that paragraph ever! Please don't mention this in your review, or that I tried to hide this to cover for Rainbow Dash. *Twilight might find out! *
-Spike)
So, finally we’re at the part where it gets good, the mail! When I flew down to the ground to check my mail box, I found the package I’ve been waiting for; the tickets to the Wonderbolt show in Manehatten! How awesome is that!?
I would have bought seven tickets, one for each of my friends and Spike, but I could only afford two. I’m sure the others would have been cool with it. Not like I have any favorites or anything. (and if I do, it's Pinkie Pie)
“Hey, Pinkie, wanna go see the Wonderbolts with me?”
“Sorry, but the Cakes and I have a big order to fill, and they could definitely use an extra set of hooves…”
***
“Hey, A.J., wanna go see the Wonderbolts with me?”
“Sorry, but I'm a-gonna have t’ work hard in order t' make up f'r all the apples that had been infested; might take months t' do…”
***
“Hey, Twi', wanna go see the Wonderbolts with me?”
“Sorry, Rainbow, but there’s a bit of a political crisis with the government of Manehatten; they seem to have a major problem balancing their taxes and-”
“- Boring! Spike, do you wanna see the Wonderbolts?”
“Sorry, Twilight needs me for this. I’m her number-one assistant!”
***
“Hey Flutters', wanna go see the Wonderbolts with me?”
“Oh… I, um, hate to be rude, but, I have this hyena, and he’s sick, and I have to… epp! Oh, I hope I’m not disappointing you… I’m so sorry Rainbow Dash…”
***
“Hey, Rarity, do you wanna see the Wonderbolts?”
“I am sorry, Rainbow Dash, but trottlish cow-coloured jackets have been rumored to be back in next season; so, I need to hurry and get started before it becomes common and overused.”
***
So, basically I kinda got my tickets two days before the Wonderbolts headed for Manehatten, and I tried to ask all my friends (totally not in a particular order) if they wanted to go, but they were all busy at, like, the worst time to be busy! So, I headed for the train, and said my goodbyes to everypony before I had set off to Manehatten for a few days to see the Wonderbolts.
When I got there, you would never believe how long the line for the Wonderbolt stadium was! I guess that goes to show ya just how awesome the Wonderbolts are, but it was still sooo loooong and borrrrring!!!! So, I sat down on a bench to count my bits to see if I could hit the fast-lane, my kind of line.
“... 'ey, 'scuse me?” asked a light blue pegasus stallion with a dark blue, curly mane, and an hourglass cutiemark. He was, like, already sitting there, on the bench I just happened to had sat on; it was a near-by seat.
“Yeah, what-a ya want?” I asked.
“Have we meet? Ya look familiar.”
“I don’t think we had.” I said.
“Are ya sure? You look extremely familiar to me.”
“Yeah, and you don’t.” I turned to him with a raised eyebrow. “Is that a pocket-watch?” I asked. Somehow I got a little curious.
“Ah, it’s nothin'. It’s been with me my whole life.”
“You use it to keep track of time? Is that your special talent?”
“‘Time’, 'special talent’? Ha! Nah, I usually get the afternoon and the mornin' mixed up I’m so dull sometimes. I never open the pocket-watch, really, it’s useless; just a pocket watch.”
“... o…kay...” I said awkwardly. "So, you from around here? You sure do sound like it."
"Um... I don't know, actually. I just... got here? I dunno, I aint rememberin' much..."
"..."
“... so, what are you doin'?”
“Countin’ my bits to see if I can hit the speed-line to see the Wonderbolts.”
“Oh, the Wonderbolt? Oh how I’ve always wanted to see the Wonderbolts!”
“Oh, really? You like the Wonderbolts too?”
“Yeah, well, of course. I mean, I’m a pegasus, what am I suppose to like, labor? Crape, that’s an Earthpony thing.”
“Well, you're racist.”
“Am I?”
“Nah, your not!
The stallion stuck a tongue, then I face-hoofed; the feather-brain! This was getting ridiculous at this point, but I hadn’t even got to the weird part yet. So, basically what happened next was...
“I’m John Smith. What’s your name?”
“I- what? I… okay, what kind of name is that? ”
“I don’t know, I was born with it. Ask my moms.”
“You're-… I dunno; you're weird, you're Manehatten accent is weird.”
“You're weird; your rainbow-mane is weird.”
“... tushay… the name’s Rainbow Dash.”
“Hmm, cool name. Nice to meetcha."
“Thanks, and I guess your accent is kinda cool. Say… I just happened to have an extra ticket; wanna’ go?”
“You kiddin'? Hay yeah I'll go! So, how about the bits for the shortcut? Do ya think there’s enough for the both of us?”
“Oh, ah... horse-apples, I lost count! Here, I’ll restart, you go and check the price, then you canter back here and we'll do the math.”
“'Ey, I never knew you could do math! ”
“Just shut up and go.”
"Pft, yeah, sure."
“So, how much?”
“Four bits per pony.”
“Ouch … luckily I have twelve, I’m always prepared!”
“Are you rich?”
“Um… no…”
“... that’s basically your two-week’s worth of allowance, isn’t it?”
“How old do you think I am!?”
“Um… 15…?”
“Dude, I live in my own place; drink cider… when there’s some left... still!”
“All right, all right, fine. So, ready to canter in the fast-lane!?”
“You bet!”
So, we were finally off as we laughed like a bunch of psychos and yelled ‘have fun in the slow-line!’, which pretty much got popcorn and some cool free stuff thrown at us. I could have sworn I felt a shake from the ground and a small sound of an explosion; it made me stop for a second, and Smith asked why I did, but told him it was nothing and continued to run. Well, I thought it was nothing, but what happened next might have something to do with it.
The fast-lane may had been quicker, but it still took such a long time to get through, and soon we were finally there! When we did, there were, like, a lot of seats taken, but not all of them were, so we managed to find the best seat in the house! It was high up, the highest we could get, perfect enough to be able to see the whole show!
The show was awesome! The Wonderbolts raced, did tricks, flew in the air, and all that cool stuff the Wonderbolts always do! But then everything changed when Spitfire was about to shot into the air for the finale; but, then some random Wonderbolt flew in her way outta nowhere, then he was shot by a laser!
Okay, I’ll admit now that I lied about how I got up in the morning, I do that sometimes. But this I swear this is true! Everypony panicked, and the staff tried to calm them down and get organized and stuff! They were all 'everypony, calm down!' and 'everypony get in line and evacuate!' and 'mares and foals first!' and all that. I couldn’t believe my eyes! The dude who took Spitfire’s place was turned into skeleton after he was shot, then just fell down! And all I could hear from that was a really small ‘Zip’ sound! And as if things were already crazy enough, then came this huge explosion right in the middle of the stadium! I flew outta there as fast as I could to get away from all that!
“Wow… that's-… just wow… Celestia that's nuts, wasn’t it, Smith… Smith…? John Smith!?”
Yeah, right at that moment, it was my turn to panic. I flew back to see if he left in another direction-
“Help! My wing, it’s stuck! Somepony help!!!”
but sadly that didn't happen. So, the explosion makes things fly around and stuff, right? Well, that was basically what happened with one of the parts of one of the giant, heavy metal hoops that caught his wing.
“I gotcha, buddy!” I hollered as I swooped down to save him. When I landed, I tried to lift the stupid hoop; but it was too heavy, the thing didn’t budge! "Don’t worry, you're almost out!" I lied. "Just a little more…!" I lied again; I was hardly even close to being close to get that heavy thing off of him!
“It’s no use, isn't it?” Smith asked weakly with a grunt.
“'Curse not! I can getcha out… I’ll-… I’llllll -… I’ll get some help!”
“No, it’s no use; you’ll just waste time. Look… - gah, ouch, this hurts - you’ll just… mmf get hurt… maybe even killed… just leave me, alright…? I had a good run… gasp I don’t care how old you really are, or how young I really am… just save yourself, I’m sure you have lots of friends and family you know for sure you have…”
“W-what do you mean…?” I asked; the last part didn't make sense to me.
“Well, you know that feelin' that- grr that you just started to exist suddenly, phfff right on a random bench, with a bunch of random memories that seem real yet you’re just so sure how real it is…?”
“Um, no, not really…” I answered
“Well…” he chuckled with irony. “... I don’t know either… I’m not John Smith, am I…? Who am I then… what am I...?”
“Well, I don’t know! Your John Smith… a-annnn d you're a pegasus, and a Wonderbolt fan, and… ah…-”
“- And what else? ”
“Well, I. Don't. Know! I just meet you for pony sake!”
“I’m just a pegasus, am I? Jus' born on a bench with fake memories; I'm apparently a fan of the Wonderbolts just because I'm a pegasus, meet a pegasus and jeered like one, and now I will die a pegasus!”
“Don't say that... that’s racist...” I cooed softly and jokingly. He smiled with a tear in his eye.
“You know what…?” he asked.
“What?”
“I think maybe I could have just-… grr… gah… -” he slowly stated as pulled his wing out. “- wiggled my way out instead of pull! Hah... funny, ay?” he asked with a proud grin.
(Okay, the only reason I continue this one and say what happened next is because I was offered tickets for the next Wonderbolts show. Happy!? )
“Oh! Thank Celestia!” I as before I hugged him tight. He hugged back, then suddenly came another explosion, not far from where we were stood; so we broke up.
“Alright, ready?” Smith asked.
“Hay yeah!”
We both before before another explosion happened right where we stood a moment ago; luckily we flew before that happened. I managed to handle it a bit more; but Smith on the other hoof…
“RAINBOW DASH!!!” he cried as he spun in circles outta control.
“I gotcho!” I yelled as I caught him.
“Ya know, maybe I’m suppose to be the hero and you the damsel?”
“Hey, I thought you were racist; now your sexist too!?”
“Just a funny thought!”
“Oh, whatever!” I yelled, and then… thud!
“Rainbow… Rainbow Dash… are ya there…? ~Hello…? 'Ey, wake up...! Ah! There you are! I thought the reaper-pony took ya for a moment there!”
“Smith…?”
“Shush. Don’t worry, everything’s fine now. Look, we’re alive! But the stadium… alright, so everything isn’t ... but hey, we are!”
“Heh...yeah… pony-feathers, what just happened!?”
“Well... ya pretty much hit'chor head on a poll while we... talked. But it's a good ya have such a thick skull!"
“Gee, thanks. That last part totally didn't insult me at all! "
“No problem! So, the show and explosions; that was fun, wasn’t it?”
“Are you out… OF YOUR FLYIN' FEATHER MIND!? ” I finally got back to my senses... and then I lost it. “W-we-… we could have been killed! You could of died! I could have died! AWonderbolt died and I don’t even know his, and I know all of them!”
“Dash, we-”
“SHUT UP! I COULD HAVE DIED! I COULD HAVE DIED! I! COULD! HAVE! DIE EEE-” I yelled on the top of my lungs 'till Smith gaped my mouth with his left front hoof.
“Yes, yes you could… but you didn’t, did you?” he hit. After he waited a shot while for me to calm down, he released his hoof and kept it on my cheek.
“I-… I-…”
“Look, answer me. Did. You. Die? ”
“Well-… but-…”
“No ‘but’s Dash, did you, or did you not die?”
“I-… no… but-”
“Ah, ah, ah. That’s it; that’s all I needed to hear. That’s all I care about right now. That’s all I care about at all. All I care about is rather or not you're safe and alive! ” he uplifted. “Dash…”
He waited for me too look at him, but I continued to look away into the distance.
“Dash…?” he repeated. The silence continued. “Dash, look at me…” he repeated. “Look. At. Me!”
He slide his hoof of my cheek, down to the bottom of my chin, then pushed my head up to make me face him.
(And I didn’t resist one bit… for some reason…)
“There. Now, look here, Dash, as long as you focus on the fact that you are alive , and forget the fact that that will end one day, imagine how much better and cooler life would be? Remember that…”
He got up.
“Wait…”
“I’m sorry… I’m so sorry…”
He turned.
“No… no, don’t go! ” I called, then got back on my hooves. “W-wait! Wait! Wait, come back!”
He cantered away.
“Ma’am.” said a guard pony behind me. “We need this area cleared. You need to leave this rubble, now! ”
“But-”
“I said leave! ”
“But-… but-…”
“-... John Smith…”
I never spoke of John Smith to anypony since that day, 'til now. It’s not like that sissy movie Rarity once obsessed with or anything...
So, what did I learn…? I learned that… life is precious, and every moment counts. Every good thing must be cherished and all the bad things forgotton unless it needs to be handled.
... Darn it! Now this story is making me sappy!

Ten Days, Ten Pony Stories
Day 4: The Date, by Rarity
Spikey-Wikey~! Can you please write this for me, dear?
Salutations,
I am Rarity, owner and founder of the Carousel Boutique, where I sell dresses, suits, and all sorts of clothes all hoof made!I have a passion for beauty and grace; for I am a lady, and a lady must always be as such, no?
I have been sent a letter by Doctor Whofan 611th, which says that his desire is for me to write a story about mui. At first I was a bit suspicious, so I showed it to my friends. Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash had had similar letters from the same gentlecolt, and told me that they had a rather fun experience writing stories of their own. Twilight wrote about the time she rented a book to Ditzy, Applejack wrote about… worms, (ew!!) and Rainbow Dash wrote a dramatic romance about a handsome stallion!
(Rainbow Dash wanted me to make it clear that it was NOT a romance -Spike)
So, after quite some consideration, I decided to try out the entertaining art of slice-of-life literature!

Your Elegant Writer,
-Rarity x
It all started when I was on a stroll through the park to refresh my mind for new inspiration, when suddenly I bumped into... him...
“Oh, I am ever so sorry. How rude of me, I could have sworn I didn’t see you there.” I apologized.
“Oh, it’s alright,” he replied with a smile, his voice had a hint of Earthpony country to it; a bit like my friend Applejack, only her accent is much stronger. “Are ya in a hurry?” he asked.
“Well… no, not really.” I answered after a pounder. “Just a stroll. I am simply trying to find some inspiration, that is all.”
“Well, I was jus' ‘bout to have a little picnic on my own. Wanna join?” he offered with a gesture toward his saddle bags.
“Well, I suppose ‘why not?’. I’ll join you.” I accepted.
"-... so then I said, 'Well, excuse me; but bowties are not ‘cool’, it’s formal!'"
It took a moment to set up the picnic, but it was quite worth it, for we had a wonderful chat afterwards. I told him many a humorous tales of mine, including the time I meet a poor mare who was stuck with two mad colts; one whom claimed to be a ‘doctor’, and the other whom claimed himself to once be a ‘Roman’, what ever the sort might of been.
“So… did ya ever see what was inside that box?” the stallion asked.
“Well, no, quite sadly. But why even bother? I’m sure they were just making it all up for attention, and the poor mare I told you about most of fell for it all.” I answered.
“It looks like they needed a doctor, not you. ” he joked; we both laughed, then I remembered something very important.
“Look, I hope I am not being rude or anything, but do you happen know what time it is?" I asked. Luckily he just happened to have a watch on him.
“Hmm… lookin’ to be ‘bout a quarter 'til 3:00.”
“Oh really? My, oh, my, I have to pick up my little sister from school today!”
“Thought askin’ f'r the time wasn’t gonna mean anything. Now ya wanna leave.”
“Oh, why, why would I want to leave? I’m sorry, it’s just family, that’s all. You know how it is, right?”
“Ah… sorta...”
“‘Sort of’?”
“I… don’t exactly have any siblings… or any parents. Just on m’ lonesome, that’s all.”
“Why, that’s simply awful! What happened?”
“I don’t like t’ talk about it... so, um, see ya later?”
“Yes, but of course! Perhaps earlier on this time tomorrow? I'm not so busy this week, really.”
“Sounds like a plan!” the stallion confirmed with a smile, and then he raised his hoof to his mouth, then-
“Don’t. You. Dare! ” I said with a glare. He swallowed what he was originally going to deject from his mouth and just simply gave me his hoof, nice and clean. “Ah, that’s better.” I said with relief and a smile, then bumped my hoof into his. As a lady, I don’t necessarily often do the ‘bro-hoof’ sort of thing, and Celestia forbid I will ever do it the way ponies like Applejack and Rainbow Dash do it - another friend of mine - but I made a minor exception.
“The name’s Caramel.”
“Rarity. I’m delighted to meet you.”
“Same with you!”
The next day, we meet up for another picnic; just like yesterday. After that, we meet again the day after that, and the one after that, and the one after that, and so on and so forth. Soon, we started to meet everyday, and because of other matters I had to deal with, turned into every week. And by each time we meet, we started to know each other more and more. We learned of one another's hobbies, passions, our everyday lives, and all other things of the sort. And by each time we meet we started to become closer and closer; until one day…
“-... well… will you?” Caramel asked with a nervous smile.
“Well… I-… I-I don’t know what to say… ‘a date’? We-… we-… I don’t know, we-” I stuttered a bit; but not too much!
“Please?” he asked with that certain look on his face no mare can ever resist!
“... you know far too much about a lady’s weaknesses.” I deemed with a flutter of my eyes.
“You what!? " Sweetie Belle, my little sister, exclaimed.
“You heard me, ‘a date’! ” I repeated excitedly. “Isn’t it just wonderful!? ”
“It’s awful !” Sweetie Belle whined with a loud squeak.
“Why so, dear? Do w’ou w’ink it's w’oss? ” (Do you think it’s gross?) I asked in a foalish-voice while I squeezed little Sweetie Belle’s little cheeks with my magic.
“No , its just… you’ll have less time with me, and I like spending time with my big sister!”
"Oh, Sweetie, I think you should grow- wait… oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t know, I-... look, Sweetie, don’t worry about it too much, dear. It’s not like I’m going to marry him, it’s just-”
“But what if you do , hah? Not now , but eventually you will, won’t you!?”
“Why, sweetie, I swear that if I do, then I would always still be around. Just… not as often… but marriage is only a possibility in the far future, you know. This is only our first date, after all; it could be our last for all I know. Sweetie, look, don’t over think this. I’ll always be around to play with you. Always. ”
“You promise? ”
“I promise.”
“Pinkie promise?”
I sighed. A Pinkie promise is a strong, permanent commitment that can break a friendship, and even a sisterhood, forever if the said promise is broken; haunted for eternity by those very words.
“I cross my heart,
I hope to Fly,
I stick a cup-cake in my Eye”
I did it. I spoke the words, and I did the gestures. It was sealed; never shall it be broken.
“Thanks big sister! ” Sweetie Belle rejoiced as she wrapped me in a tight hug.
“Like I’ll ever stop being your sister (again)...”
“What is your name?” asked the host, ready to check the name-list.
“‘Rarity’.” I answered. The host checked the list, then nodded.
“Right z’is way,” he stated, then lead me to my table. “Your waiter will come shortly.”
“Thank you.” I replied politely with a nod. The host left and returned to where he was earlier to await for his next customer.
I was in the new ‘Luna’s Moon’ restaurant in my best dress. The grand opening happened a few days before that night, and it was rather expensive; but my sales had been quite well in my boutique at the time, so I managed to at least order a bit cheap.
I know that a gentle-stallion always pays for lady, but that place did coast far too much, and Caramel isn’t exactly as wealthy as I am. He sold horse shoes for a living and was a professional at throwing them as well. A horse shoe is his cutiemark, despite the fact that his parents expected him to sell caramel for caramel apples like they did; which was why they gave him that name. Speaking of him, ten minutes later I had finally saw Caramel show up.
“Sorry I’m late,” he apologized with embarrassment. “My friend and I kinda had a bit of an argument ‘bout this. But I’m here now, right?” he reached into his suit pocket. “I brought flowers!”
“Ah, they’re lovely! Thank you!” I voiced with glee; indeed, the flowers did look quite wonderful. “Now, let me guess, your friend feared that I will replace him by spending more time with moi instead?”
“First off, she’s a ‘she ’.”
“Oh…?”
“Don’t worry, she’s just a friend. Nothin’ more, alright?”
“... all right, I suppose.” I replied a rather slight bit nervously. I was a touch worried about how Caramel's friend was a ‘she’ instead of ‘he’, but I knew not to judge too much; for I myself have some occasional friends who just happened to be stallions and they never became anything more than that. So I understood.
“Anyway, yeah. That's basically the case... how'd cho know?" he asked with curiosity.
"Oh, let's just say I just went through the same situation with my sister."
"Hah... so, how's the Boutique?”
“Oh, don’t even get me started! You will never believe what happened last week…-”
"-... and then she tied it with a balloon, and asked ' now is it on sale?', so then I said 'no, no, no, only if I do it!', but then she was all…-"
"-... and then right when I was about t' throw the shoe, a bull ran outta the blue and made everypony run like crazy…-"
"-… so then I said, ' that is a hairdo? I thought a bird somehow made her nest on your head!'...-"**
"-... and then the duck said, 'got any grapes?'...-"
"-... so a donkey and a mule get stuck on an island, and the donkey said to the mule…-"
"-... and then the blond earthpony said 'you mean his forelegs actually* work? But pegasi never *walk!'...-"
"-... and then I decided, from that moment forward, that I will* never*go sisterless, again! Sweetie Belle means the world to me…-"
"-... but if ya get to know Berry Punch a bit more, she ain’t really as bad as she seems; that’s why she’s my best friend…-"
"-... and so I decided to move on. I don’t need Trender Hoof in order to be happy…-"
"-... and then she dumped me… I don’t know why, but she did. Carrot Top was just too…* obsessed *with that pocket watch of hers, I guess. I dunno...-"
Throughout our meal, we had shared some stories from our social lives, laughed with quite a few jokes, (and even some rather crude racist ones, I honestly admit) and even started to go a bit deep about our friends and family, and then we went as deep and personal as our *love lives! We got closer and closer than ever before, and I thought for a moment that our relationship just might of work. But then...*
“-... then I made a Pinkie Promised that I won’t let… *us get in the way between me and Sweetie Belle. And a Pinkie Promise is quite the responsibility; for you know what happens if you break it…” I mentioned as I finished my tale before Pinkie Pie bursted out of the flowers Caramel brought me, and screeched,*
“ FOREVER!!”, then turned to Caramel with a glare. With that said, she took one of the flowers, sniffed it, then slowly sunk back in as she continued to stare at my date with the same glare. (no rhyme intended)
“O..k… well, that’s Pinkie Pie f'r ya. You... better keep that Pinkie Promise of y'rs.” Caramel examined; his face was just as surprised as I was.
“Indeed…” I replied awkwardly. We laughed ever so loudly, filled with joy and the hilarity of it all.
“Rarity…?” Caramel suddenly asked once when we calmed down.
“Yes…?”
“There’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you, I-... well…”
“ Yes…?” I asked as I leaned in. He cleared his throat and loosened his black bow-tie; his face was ever so nervous.
“Well…- um…-”
“ Yes, go on…” I lowered my voice, leaning closer.
“Rarity… I…- I’ve been wantin’ to say… I…- I…- I love…-”
“ CARAMEL!?” suddenly asked a rather disturbingly female voice. The moment he heard, he immediately hopped off of the table as if something bite him in the flank.
“Oh, ah, hey… Colgate… your here a bit early, are you...?”
“It’s 6:11, the exact time I’ll be here. I’m always punctual, you know. It’s on my cutiemark, remember?” said the angered mare, who has an hourglass cutiemark.
“Ah, who is she…?” I asked nervously, hoping to Celestia that it wasn’t what I thought it was.
“Oh, ah… she’s my… cousin…” Caramel answered hesitantly.
“ Cousin!?” Colgate exclaimed.
“Ah, yeah… cousin… I-... ah…- hey, the music’s pretty good tonight-” Caramel stammered, attempting to change the subject.
“And who are *you , exactly?” asked Colgate, addressing me.*
“Well, I believe I’m his da-”
“- *Acquaintance! ” Caramel cut in.*
“ Acquaintance!?” I exclaimed.
“Yeah, we were on business meeting ‘bout… ah…- about-” Caramel attempted to explain, but Colgate and right then, I as well, were far too furious to hear it.
“Caramel, *what are you doing? I’m your special somepony, remember!? ” Colgate exclaimed, I silently gasped.*
“But… I thought *I was…- I…- Caramel, tell me this isn’t true!”*
“Well…-” Caramel attempted to answer.
“ Oh don’t you dare! Caramel, you *cheated on me! Did you actually think you would have been able to go on two dates on the same night!? ” Colgate exclaimed.*
“Well, I usually works every time-” spat Caramel, then stopped himself when he realised what he had done. “-... oh, wait, I mean...- I mean…- I mean…- look, I’m sorry, I really am! I just can’t help it!”
Colgate stared at him, heart broken. She started to cry, then ran off. There was then silence through the whole restaurant as she trotted her way out the door. I looked at Caramel with the same expression Colgate had.
“But… why…?” I asked. “Why would you ever…-” I drifted away, becoming speechless.
“L-l-look, I-I-I can’t explain, I-I swear, I…- I just… I *can’t, okay!? I just can’t help it! ”*
I got up.
“W-w-… wait…-”
I turned around.
“N-no, don’t-”
I slowly made my way to the door.
“ Please don’t go!”
I made my way out the restaurant…then I started to weep...
“Why…?”
Knock, knock, knock
“No, go away!”
“But *Rarity , it’s been three weeks !”*
“I said ‘No’, Sweetie Belle! Leave me alone!”
“But… when* are you going to play with me ?”*
“ NO! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!! DON’T YOU SEE I’M MORNING!? I’m morning!!!”**
I cried in my bedroom for weeks. The only reason I could keep track was because Sweetie Belle knocked on my door every hour, and eventually everyday, and told me how long it was, and asked when I was going to go out and play.
My heart was ripped to *shreds! I was still in awe of how cruel that night was, and how horrible Caramel was. He cheated and lied, and pretended to be my friend. I my hopes of finding love had been higher than it had ever been before, and it was all crushed two times harder!*
Sweetie Belle had been a good filly and only knocked *once a day since the past two weeks, but this day had an exception.*
Knock, knock, knock!
“ No!”
“Rarity, it’s us.” said Twilight’s voice.
“I don’t care!”
“Fer’ Pete-sake; when are ya’ gonna’ tell us what happened so we can help?” asked Applejack’s voice.
“Whatever it was, I’m pretty sure it was no big deal…” scoffed the rude voice of Rainbow Dash.
“Rainbow!” scolded Twilight.
“What? You know it’s true, she falls apart when she loses a roll of *thread! ”*
“Why, that jus’ ain’t true!”
“Pft, come on AJ, I can bet you three bits that it’s about a piece of thread!”
“Rainbow Dash, you are not* going to gamble over Rarity’s feelings! Right Applejack-”*
“N’ *ah’ bet you with five bits that whatever it is Rarity’s a-cryin’ fer’ most be fer’ a good reason!”*
“ Applejack!”
“Ha! So it’s a bet then!?”
“ Rainbow Dash!”
“Let’s bro-hoof on it!”
“ Applejack!”
“Your on-”
“ STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT!” I yelled, then sobbed some more. The whole boutique fell silent, the only thing heard was my low, soft, quiet weeping.
“Rarity…?” Twilight asked, “What happened…? How can we help…? I’m sure whatever it is can be easily solved-”
“- there was a stallion,” I finally started to explained. The boutique fell quiet once more, and I’m sure I could've heard Applejack breath ‘sweet Celestia...’. I took a long, deep breath.
“I… was in the park, about four months ago, when I…-”
-... and then we’ve been having picnics…-
-... and closer and closer…-
-... asked me out, and I was shocked…-
“-... and then… there was this other mare… and…-... and…-... and...-” I stopped, and started to weep again, unable to go through the next part. But at this point, it was already far too obvious.
“I’m…- I’m sorry…” came the one voice I’ve been needing to hear the most. I started to smile, yet continued to cry, as I asked,
“... Fluttershy, dear; is that you?”
Silence. The only thing I could hear was my other friends encouraging her in whispers. I smiled at that, Fluttershy had *always been quite quiet, so shy, so timid, so kind. She’s the one I always get things off my chest with at the day-spa, even when I use to have weekly picnics with that good-for-nothing Caramel. Unlike him, Fluttershy would never even dare to betray me, even the time when she became famous instead of me, and I begged her to perfil my dream for me, despite my painfully green jealousy.*
“I…- I’m here, Rarity,” said Fluttershy’s sweat, small little voice. “Um… if you don’t mind me asking… um… maybe… um… can you… ep…!”
Silence once again, with the exception of her friends encouraging her to carry on again. “I…- um…- wonder... if you could… go to the spa with me…”
I smiled. Every single week, every single time, *I was always the one to ask her to the spa, and she always accepted. Hearing her ask moi for the first time made me want to cry in a new way, not in tears of sorrow no more- but in joy.*
“Yes…” I said weakly. “I’ll love to…”
“Good, because you can use somepony to to talk too. I’ll listen to everything you say. I promise.” said Fluttershy.
“Pinkie Promise?”
“I cross my heart,
Hope to Fly,
I stick a cupcake in my Eye”
Just as she promised, we went to the spa, and she listened to *everything I said. I shared every single detail of every single feeling I’ve felt, and the more I got off my chest, the better I started to feel, and it always helped me to press on whenever I glanced at Fluttershy, seeing her focusing on me. There was not the slightest thing that distracted her, she didn’t she any sign of boredom. Her face only had one expression the whole time, the same face- a focused, listening, understanding one.*
From that moment forward, I started to take more time to play with Sweetie Belle more often than I normally use to do, and even started to ask *her if she wanted to play. Of course, I still had my fair-share of time for work, but I made sure I made as much time as I possibly can, with Celestia as my witness.*
And from that moment forward, I learned that romantic love isn’t better than family and friends. As long as you have at least one pony in your life, I’m sure that will be all you need. I don’t need a colt-friend to be happy, I got five best friends and a sister, and my parents who comes to visit every now and then. Today I learned to always appreciate what you got, and to* never *ask for more.

Day 5: The Wrong Order, by Pinkamena Diane Pie
All mighty-righty-tighty, Spike! Let’s do this!
Hi, I’m Pinkie Pie! And I know everypony in Ponyville, work for the cakes at Sugarcube Corner, bake cupcakes, and make lots and lots of super-duper fantastic parties! Opps, did I do the Doctor Who reference already…? My bad.
Anyway, I’ve been super, duber jealous of Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity for being able to do something fun. And just my luck, I got a little too! Hi DrWhoFan611, I’m Pinkie Pie! Nice to meet you!
So, after Twilight wrote about taking something back, Applejack about exterminating, Rainbow Dash about explosions, and Rarity about colts! And now, it’s my turn!
I hope you think this story will be supercalfragulisticespialadoshish!
Your Super-Fun Writer,
-Pinkie Pie
And so then I learned, from that day forward, that no matter how hard it is, no matter how much it was so not me, I learned to always
Oh, wait. Am I doing it right? How am I suppose to start a story? Where do I even start? Here, I’ll go back a bit!
“Here!” said Rainbow Dash “Just take it and cool down, will ya’?”
She handed Banana back to the homeless pony.
“Yes! It returns! It returns! I missed you, Banana!” the homeless pony cried and cuddled with Banana.
“Yep, everything’s been solved!” I said happily.
“Not everything…” my side-kick muttered. Wait… that’s not far enough. Here, I think I’ll start a little further… here!
“Here, take Banana. You’ll need him.” I told Rainbow Dash, and gave her Banana.
“Why?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“To stop him from throwing rocks at you!” I answered.
“Is that what it’s about?” Rainbow Dashed, the confused silly pony she was.
“Pretty much.” my side-kick answered… no, no. I need to go a lot further back, do I?
Rainbow Dash hoped right into the blimp.
"What the hay is going on?" Rainbow asked. "And why are you dressed up like a French maid?" Rainbow Dash asked, addressing side kick
"The homeless pony is mad because he missed his banana or something. And he wants to commit revenge on you for some reason." Sidekick explained.
"Wait... you mean the guy I traded my banana for his Wonderbolt action figure?" asked Rainbow.
"Yes!" I answered. "And now he wants Banana back too!" I explained. "And if you give Banana to him, he might calm down."
Fwoosh! came the rock right through the clouds as he tried to hit Rainbow Dash!
“Woah!” she yelled, avoiding the rocks.
“Hey Rainbow Dash!” I called on my blimp with my side-kick.
“Come on aboard!” I yelled. “It’ll save you from the rocks!”
She listened, and hopped in. Wait… wait, no. Not it. Ohhh I know! I know! I’m suppose to start here!
“Okay, I found Banana!” I yelled, holding Banana in the air.
“Where did you find it?” my side-kick asked, and teleported to me.
“Banana was in my hair the whole time!” I explained, then my side-kick slammed her hoof to her face.
"Side-kick, there's no time for hitting yourself! Now, we need to find a blimp so we can save Rainbow Dash! It can be anywhere..."
"It's right behind you."
"I knew that."... no, wrong part. How about I start... right here!
"-. Pinkie, we'll split up, and we might be able to find it."
"Woah, woah, woah, sidekick. Your the servant who's sworn to serve me and do my bidding?"
"Ug... fine..." yeah, hang on, just a tinsi, tinsi bit more...
"Oh no, that's awful! Funny how I have Banana!" I exclaimed.
"You do!? Alright, lets give it to Rainbow Dash right away before it's too late!" side-kick suggested.
"Oh, that's a great idea! I'll get it..."
"... so, where is it?"
"... side kick..."
"Yeah...?"
"I think I lost it."
"Gah! Alright-" Nope, not there yet!
"-... and now he's going to kill Rainbow Dash!"... yeah, not there yet. Just a weeeeeee..... bit more.
and then I got right back inside, and then suddenly, Sidekick appeared!
"Pinkie Pie!"
"Yes, sidekick?"
"First off... why are you wearing an eye patch?"
"I just got it!
"O... k... anyway, did you hear that?"
"What, sidekick?"
"That pony, from outside, he said he's going to kill Rainbow Dash because he gave away his 'precious' Banana...-"
Yeah, no quite there yet.
"Hey, nice eye patch and banana!" I said to a homeless pony.
"Thanks, it's name is Banana." the homeless pony said.
"Who, the eye patch?" I asked.
"No, the banana. Banana the banana." he corrected me.
"Ohh... it's so cute! Can I keep him...?" I asked with my puppy eyes. He gave in.
"Oh... fine, take it." he said, then gave me Banana. "Take the eye patch, too."
"Yay!"
After that, I ran back into Sugar Cube Corner!
No, hang on, not yet.
"So... you want to do anything for me?" I asked.
"Yes, anything! Just please don't show it to anyone!"
"... alright then! How about you'll dress up as a maid, and become my side kick, side kick!"
"But... alright, whatever it takes! I can't let anypony see it!"
After that weird thing that just happened, side kick waited in sugar cube corner while I went out. Wait a second... okay, we're almost there, I swear!
"Pinkie Pie... what's that?" asked Twilight.
"Oh, it's this funny picture of you I found!" I told her. She looked real shocked when she saw it.
"No! Your black mailing me!" She exclaimed.
"Ah..."
"Please, don't show anypony! I'll do anything you want!" wait... no, not there. Oh! Oh! How about here!
instead I found a funny picture of Twilight... hah...? Come on... okay, here I know for sure is where we start!
It all started when the Cakes asked me to check the mail. I told them "Okey, dokey, lokey," and headed for the mail. Usually the Cakes get these boring bills, but-... yeah, that's it, right? Am I done now...? No...? Oh, right, the end, end!
"What's wrong, side kick?" I asked.
"Well... your still black-mailing me." Side kick explained.
"Ohhh what's a black-mail?"
"You mean... you weren't black mailing me?"
"Well, if you don't know what black-mailing is... then that means I could have just asked for it back?"
"Pretty much, I guess."
"Who even sent that photo of me too you?"
"I dunno'. Some named 'DrWhoFan611' or something..."
Okay, as I was saying from the lesson thingy. Today I learned to stop... what did I learn...? Wow, I'm not good at this, am I?
The End... I guess...

Day 8: The Tea, by Celestia
Ten Days, Ten Pony Stories
Day 8: The Tea, by Celestia
Spike, would you kindly write this for me?
Hello, I am Princess Celestia of Equestria. And as you know, I am the ruler of kingdom of Equestria, with my sister, Luna. I raise the sun to bring the day into my peaceful land.
This morning, I was sent a letter by Doctor Who of the 611th dynestesty of the tribe of Fan. He request me to write about a rather humorous experience I’ve faced this month. I had heard word of this Doctor whom had sent the same sort of letter to a few of my subjects, even my niece, Princess Cadence of the Crystal Empire. My pupil, Princess Twilight Sparkle, had written of a time when she rented her book to a subject of mine. Her friends, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy, had written about a worm infestation, a trip to a Wonderbolt show , a date, … I… simply don’t know, actually and a movie.
So, considering how none of this is harming my subjects in anyway, I have decided to partake in this.
I so very much hope that you will enjoy this.
Your Royal Writer,
-Princess Celestia
It started on a another day created by me. It was eleven past six in the morning, when my servant, Silver Dish, served me my daily breakfast on a silver platter in bed. I had Celesti-os (my divine favorite), some woodland strawberries and some earl grey tea and biscuits. But… there was a small problem.
“Um, excuse me.” I asked.
“Yes, your highness?” Silver Dish asked.
“There is a… small problem with the tea.” I explained.
“Oh, but of course, your highness.” he said, then left with my tea to fix it. A moment later, he returned.
“Thank you, Silver Dish.” I thanked.
“It is my pleasure, your majesty.” he replied with a bow of his head. I was just about to drink my tea at last, when I noticed something…
“Silver Dish?”
“Yes, you’re royalty?”
“There’s a… another slight matter.”
“Oh, but of course, votre Majesté.” he said before he left again. Once when he returned, I found something else wrong with my tea, and then I asked him to fix it again. He returned, and I found another conundrum with my tea, and asked about it again. He returned, then I found another problem, and then the whole process looped over, and over, and over again.
“Um, perhaps maybe I should fix the tea.” I finally said as I rose out of bed.
“No, no, you’re graciousness, you don’t have too.” Silver Dish interjected.
“Indeed, but I think I should fix the tea myself. You are dismissed, take the rest of day off.” I informed him with a dismissing wave. He bowed his head, said,
“Thank you, your trolliness.” he said, then left before I could ask. So to follow my word, I left to solve my problem.
I was in my kitchen, re-brewing my tea, when I noticed just what was missing. My tea wasn’t perfect because it was missing that one thing; dried poison joke. A poison
joke flower is a blue flower that plays a prank on you when touch it. But, scientists had discovered recently that the poison joke flower doesn't affect you, but the particles that is on it. So they dry it out, then put it in my tea. And it taste rather divine, if I dare so say so myself. In fact, I rather prefer it. There was no way I would eat breakfast without my dried poison joke earl grey tea.
So, I knew exactly what I had to do; I needed to go out into everfree forest to find some blue-joke. But, since I am a Princess, ponies would crowd around me. But luckily there was one solution...
“So, how do I look?” I asked my sister, Princess Luna.
“Sister… why art thou lookest’ so different all the sudden?” my sister asked.
“I need to go out and get something, and I don’t want to start a scene. Which I why I needed a disguise. So, how do I look?”
“Thou… lookest fine, I suppose.”
“Good. I thought I looked great in the mirror.” I said.
I used an advanced transformation spell to make myself look mortal. I still had my same white coat, and my mane was just pink, and rather… normal … well, what would be normal to my subjects. Still, I was in the perfect disguise, I knew my way to the forest and back, so nothing could go wrong. I gave her a friendly wave, then turned to leave.
“Sister…?” she asked. I stopped. “I love thee, thou knowest that, right?”
I smiled.
“Indeed, sister, I do.”
“Dusk thou promise to return soon?”
“Yes, sister. Indeed I swear on the name Mother Faust herself.”
“Pinkie Promise…?”
I was finally at Ponyville, the town nearest to the Everfree Forest. It was a good thing I sent the Apple family there on that land to create that town, for I would have had to walk there, instead of riding a train. I wore a black hoodie with a skirt to cover my cutiemark, so I could lay-low. I was half way there, when suddenly…
“Hi, I’m Pinkie Pie!” said a disturbingly familiar voice. I flinched. “Are you new here? I know everypony in ponyville, and I don’t know you, so you must be new! What’s your name?” Pinkie Pie, a friend of my pupil’s, asked. I was taken off guard, and quite sadly, hadn’t thought it all the way through.
“Oh… u-um…”
“‘Oh ah, um’? That’s a weird name.”
“No, it’s… ah, yes, that’s my name.” I lied, trying to get away from Pinkie Pie as soon as possible in order to proceed my way to the everfree forest.
“Hey, you wanna’ have a tour to Ponyville? Since your new and all?” Pinkie asked.
“N-no, o-of course not. I can perfectly leave, myself.” I said.
“Wow, you sound like Princess Celestia!” my eyes popped open. “That… is… so… awesome!!! ” Pinkie exclaimed.
“Oh… don’t be ridiculous… I don’t sound like Celestia, not one bit. Ah-” I cleared my throat, then altered my voice to a smaller, not-as-similar-to-mine voice. “- wha-... what are you talking about?” I asked with the new voice.
“Hah, your voice changed… I thought…- nah! There’s no way your Princess Celestia who wanted to get a certain ingredient that you could only find in the everfree forest, and you need to put on a disguise and lay-low in order to go get that ingredient and go back to your kingdom. That’s silly!” said Pinkie Pie. I was stunned, but then got my act together.
“I-it was nice meeting you… bye!” I said, then trotted off.
“Wait!!!” called Pinkie. I stopped in my tracks. “I hadn’t even sang my welcome-song to you yet!”
“Oh, th-there’s no need…-”
“Here, I’ll wait outside the station, then I’ll sing!”
“But…-” before I could object in anyway, Pinkie Pie had already dashed off. It was obvious then that if I lefted then, she would sing the song. Having no choice but to play along, I decided to hear just the one song.
~Welcome, welcome, welcome,
A fine welcome to You!
Welcome, welcome, welcome,
Welcome to Ponyville today…~!
Pinkie Pie stood still in a pose, awaiting for my response.
"Um... that's... splendid. Yes, splendid, indeed. I'll... go now-"
"Oh! Oh! You gotta' meet everypony!" Pinkie declared. Before I could object, she grabbed my hoof and dragged me throughout Ponyville. "This is Time Turner, Colgate, Lyra, Bon-Bon, Derpy Hooves, Granny Smith...-"
***
"-... Button Mash, Button Mash’s Mom, Lickety-Split, Sweetie Belle, Dinky Doo, Bad Wolf- um, I mean Rose Luck, Carrot Top...-"
"-... Applejack, Applebloom, Scootaloo, Milky Way, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, that really, really, old guy...-"
"... Crank-a-Doodle, Mrs. Cheerilee, Big Macintosh, Discord, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon…-”
***
“-... and Spike and finally Twilight!” Pinkie introduced me to everypony in Ponyville… including my pupil. I ducked my head, hoping she wouldn’t recognize me. I have been her guide since she was a little filly. If she knew what I was doing, then what kind of example would I be? Thinking about that, I was just about to come upon a realization, until…
“So, now that you know everypony, let’s have...” she proposed with a pause. And before I knew it... “-... a party! ”
There I was, in the middle of Sugarcube Corner, as if she somehow skipped time itself or teleported me five minutes into the future. She suddenly pulled out a cake out of her cupboard. It was all with sprinkles and a cherry on top, with a message written with icing, saying ‘Welcome to Ponyville ’. I tried to sneak out but she noticed me and said ‘’Where are you going?’’
‘’Um… toilet.’’ I answered
‘’Ok’’ she said happily. She bounced away to mingle with the other ponies. I took the advantage to make my escape… with little success.
“Hi!”
“Oh… ah… hi…”
“Hello!”
“Y-yeah, ‘hello’...”
“How are you doing?”
“Escap- I mean… mingling…”
“I like your hoodie.”
“Y-yes, yeah, of course… thanks…-”
I struggled my way through the crowd. Finally, I found the exit, but then…
“Oh, hey.” said my pupil… Twilight… I froze, unsure of what to do. I looked away, trying my hardest to make sure she can’t see my face. “What’s wrong?” she asked concernedly.
“N-n-nothing…” I said, then headed for the door.
“Are you leaving so soon?”
“Oh, what? N-no… but of course not… I’m…- hey, look over there!” I tried to get her away, continually hiding my face from her.
“Hey… it’s alright, don’t be shy.” she assured me. It was not helping… not quite at all. “I’m Twilight.” she introduced herself with a smile. I continued to look away.
“I’m…-” this time, I took some consideration into a name. It was harder than I thought, so I decided to think about the thing I like most. “-tea… um… Grey Tea.”
“Nice to meet you, Grey Tea.” she said, then offered her hoof for a hoof shake. I just couldn’t risk it.
I was finally on my way to the everfree forest, when something had caught my eye…
“Dad?”
“It’s me, Frost Bite.”
“Daddy! Have you brought food?”
“I had.
“... I thought you said you were going to get me cheese…?”
“Sorry, I could only get us this half-loaf of bread. I wish I could have gotten you cheese...”
“It’s fine… I like bread, anyway. It’s better than nothing, right?”
“Yeah… you're right, it is… we could’ve just had nothing to eat tonight...”
I froze where I was. Luckily, I was wearing a dark hood with a dark purple skirt, so there I couldn’t of been noticed unless one puts the effort into it. There was a homeless stallion, with a filly, both dirty and their manes messy. Never even once had I ever thought about the lower class. I had favorites. Twilight Sparkle, her friends, I treated them different than any other pony. Years ago, the six of them ruined the Grand Galloping Gala, and… I just simply pardoned them immediately without even setting them trial. While if any other pony would have done it, I would have put them into sentence. I was an awful Princess. I wasn't a ruler, I was just on the highest class a pony could dream of.
"Thanks Daddy..." Frost Bite thanked, then her and her father hugged. What was I doing? I had spent the whole day just to remedy one little problem with my royal breakfast, and sacrificed all three of my meals all together. Not only did I realize how foolish I was, but also how hungry I was. Once when my stomach growled, the only thing my mind was on for a time was that and that alone. "Oh, hey." Frost Bite suddenly said. I realized that I, by instinct, waltzed over to the poor family.
"Ah- oh, I-I'm sorry, I was just-" my stomach growled.
"Are you hungry?" the stallion asked. I would have lied and said I was fine, but I found myself nodding instead.
"Here.. have half of mine." Frost Bite offered, and broke her share of the bread in half.
"N-no, I'm...- I'm not...- I'm just...-" I tried to refuse, but struggled with the temptation to take both of their halves and gobble it up. She dropped the half, and I picked the half up with my magic by reflex. I wanted that bread. I couldn't make myself give it back. It was mine, and I wanted to keep it.
"Th-thank you.. I..- um, I mean, Princess Celestia herself.. would thank you for your generosity." I told her. The filly smiled.
"It's no problem, really. Every pony diverse some food, no matter how fancy it is. No pony should ever starve." I smiled at that.
"I'm Grey Tea." I introduced myself.
"Frost Bite." the filly introduced,
"Snow Storm." then the stallion introduced himself as well. I smiled with a tear in my eye, hidden beneath my hood.
"Thank you..." I said, then lifted my hood, forgetting everything I had planed. "And one day... I shall repay you." I said before I left. The two ponies looked with very shock looks, but must of dismissed it and thought that what I had revealed must not be true after I turned and ran away.
"Celestia, where art thou'st been!?" Luna exclaimed. We braced in a hug.
"It... took awhile long than expected... but I got what I needed." I explained, and please note what I meant by 'What I needed'. "Attention all staff!!!" I yelled. Once when all of my servants, except for Silver Dish, where gathered in my second ball room, I got up on the stage to prepare an announcement. "Fillies and Gentalcolts, I had gathered you all here to order what can possibly be my biggest order in all my years, yet." I started. They all leaned in, including my sister, with very, very curious eyes. "My little ponies... I want all of you to gather 75% of my food supply, then we will head down to Ponyville and give the feast of a life time...!"
Questions were asked, of curse, but eventually everypony did their duty and prepared the feast to feed all. It was a glorius festival. I had given no warning of my arrival. Everypony was shocked at my appearance, and all bowed, and I dismissed it. My servants had set up a large table and most of my entire food supply all in plates, put together in a random order. Just all placed there, as swiftly as possible. And while all my little ponies, rich and poor, feasted on all the food I had given to them, I had caught Frost Bite and Snow Storm in the corner of my eye, both looking at me with wonder, with faces that say that they had been foretold of this. And indeed they had. I had secretly dedicated to the entire feast to them, and every single other feast I server upon all the other cities and towns in my fair country. I glanced down at the little piece of bread that may not seem much, but was worth more than I can ever give. I smiled when I saw a rainbow shine through it, and knew what I had learned.
And from that day forward, I myself had learned a very valuable lesson on friendship. I had learned that you don't need to have things your way in order to be happy, but to be able to have things at all is enough to appreciate.

Day 9: The Choice, by Princess Luna
Spike, I summon ye’ to writ’ist this for me.
Greetings. I am Princess Luna, the second Princess of Equestria with my sister, Celestia, and ruler of the moon, and a dream walkre.
I hath heard word of these lettres sent’ith by a Doctor of some sort, requesting for stories from my people. And I, too, hath been sent one as well. Doctor Whofan 611th now asks of me to write him a tale of a recent experience for him to add to his collection. So far, the six element bearers of harmony hath written of renting books, exterminating wheat words, Wonderbolt tickets, a date... what ever that one was... and a horror movie, and my sister and niece hath written of a hoofball game and a not-so-perfect cup of tea.
And so far, no problem hath been done. So I shall partake’ist in this strange, new tradiction. So without furthre ado, I shall give’ist thou a tale of my past.
I do hope ye’ will enjoy it.
Your Tradiction Writer,
-Princess Luna
Twas a wonderful night, as I recall. It was the 1,001st sun celebration, a day I ever so cherish, the day I was free from the curse that hath been known as ‘Nightmare Moon’. Twas time, reassurance and therapy that hath healed me from such a dreaded experience. Twas a wonderful, gay time, but everything hath to end. Tis’ sad, but everypony hath to move on, including I.
I returned home, in my castle in Canterlot, tis’ capital of Equestria. I hath thrown on my sweet shirt, and turned on my olden gamecube. Hath I mentioned I am a gamre? Well, I am indeed, tis’ a fun thing to do. I played my favorite game, Mega Mare. Tis’ a wonder life I have… I live with my sister, free from the dreaded curse of Nightmare Moon, able to play all the games I want, hath friends all over my sakrete land, tis’ a wonderful, wonderful life… and before I hath knew it, I fell asleep…
I hath woken from a dream, a rathre silly dream. I dreamt of a life back in the wonderful land of Equestria, on the very earth I ever so miss, back with my sister, and hath all the friends I could ever ask for. But alas, for one must always remember the truth. Tis’ reality, rathre I liked it or not.
The reality is, that I was still imprisoned on the moon, my moon. My sister, the witch she was, imprisoned me for simply wanting to extend my beautiful night to an eternity! Tis’ not fair! While ponies play and celebrate in my sister’s day, everypony sleeps and ignores my night. Tis’ not fair!
I hate my sister, for she is not fair. She hath consumed more of the glory, and never shall she ever give even a single drop of it to her lonely, unappreciated little sister. Tis’ not fair! Tis’ not fair! Oh woe is me!
Once upon a time, I once hated being on my moon. But the more time I hath spent on it, the more I started to realise that now I hath not need worry of attention, for now I can suffer in my loneliness without having to suffer my jealousy of my big, selfish sister. She hath thought she had outwitted me, but nay! I hath outwitted her! I embrace my imprisonment, my home, my one-mare country! I hath won the battle, and no pony can ever bring me back… never shall I return home… never… ever… again… and before I hath knew it, I feel asleep…
“NAY!!! ” I screamed. I breathed heavily, for tis’ a horrifying dream I had.
“Sister?” asked Tia’ as she trotted into my room, my guards kept a keen eye for any sign of attack, as always. “Sister, are you alright?” she asked. I sobbed, my dream was far too horrifying for words. “Did you have another nightmare about what happened a thousand years ago?” my sister asked. I nodded, and we hath hugged, crying into her shoulder, knowing full and well that my sister will always have my back. “It’s been so long… I thought you fully healed… but it’s alright, just remember, it happened a long time ago. It’s done, and I swear it will never happen again. It’s okay… it’s okay… it’s okay…” my sister whispered into my ear, soothing me. I felt ever so relax… in fact, I felt rathre tired… like I could just… fall asleep…
I hath awoken with a gasp. Tis’ an awful dream, yet wonderful dream. I had once again dreamt of being back in Equestria, with my evil, evil sister, acting all kind and gentle as if she actually cares . But… tis’ strange, for I actually thought that the dream was real, and that reality was but a dream. Tis’ strange… tis’ ever so strange…
“Ha, ha, ha, ha… tis’ everso strange, isn’t it?”
I flinched, a strange voice spoked in my head.
“One moment you wake up in a dream of Equestria, yet feel like it’s so real. Then another moment, you fall asleep, and dream where you wake up here in what you know for sure is real. Ever sostrange, isn’t it?”
“Show thyself, ye’ coward!” I shouted. I was going mad, I thought at first, but then I wondered that maybe perhaps I wasn’t. But then again, thinking one isn’t mad is simply the first symptom.
“Oh, but if I do, then ye’ would wish thou hasn’t asked. For I am an image thou hath not want to remember, a terrible, cruel reminder who what thou wants’ith to forget!”
“What art thou talking about?” I demanded.
“Oh, ye’ hath not understand yet? But of course not! Here, let me put this simply to you; you are dreaming, and you are living. The question is, which is the dream, and which is the life?”
“What dusk thou mean? I don’t understand!”
“Sleep, my prisoner. Sleep…”
I awoke in my sister’s arms. I not quite sure if she even noticed they I hath fallen asleep… or awoken? But… I felt so sure that my dream was real, and that this was the dream. My sister and I broke up.
“Feeling better, sister?” my sister asked. I nodded. “Good. Perhaps maybe you’ll need some rest.” she suggested. My eyes popped open.
“Um… nay, sister. I’ll just… stay up a little longer…” I told her, in fear of having yet another horrifying dream. Tia’ looked behind me and saw my game, smiled and shook her head while she left.
“So, art thou dreaming…? Or art thou awake…?”
I flinched.
“Who art thou!” I screamed.
“I am a being who possesses the same ability as you. I dream walk. More than that, I own them! I am the Lord of all Dreams! I am… the Dream Lord!”
“What dusk thou want’sith from me!?” I demanded.
“Only entertainment…”
“What dusk thou mean?”
“I have no body, I am but only an image. I do not have a face of my own, but a face of many. No food, no death… no love. Only a need for entertainment.”
“What dusk thou want me to do?” I asked.
“… ye doing it right now, rathre thou likes it or not. As I hath foretold, ye is in a state where dreams and reality feel ever so much alike. So, which one is real, and which one is but a dream? Your choice…”
“Show thyself! I demand to see you now! I don’t care rather ye waltz in different faces, show me in one of thy faces, at least one, the one thou hast right now!”
“Art thou sure…? Like I hath said, I hath no face of my own, but many a different face… and I already told thou what they were, in your dream… or was it while thou was awake?”
“Show me! I demand thou show me!”
“Fine, but thou shalt not curse me for what I am about to reveal, for I warn thee that thou will regret asking!”
“I assure you I had seen worse, and am still scared from it. What else am I suppose to be scared of anymore after I’ve seen the worse a pony can ever face!”
“Exactly, my little pony. Thou hast only one fear… thou hast seen worse than any other fear in the entire universe… that fear… being…-
“...- thyself!!!” The Dreamlord finished. I screamed. “Sleep, child. Or wake up, which ever it is. The monster will go away… or will she…?” said the Dreamlord slowly cooed, as I lull my way to yet another slumber…-
-... and then I woke up. ‘Twas only but a dream’ I thought at first. But tis’ tragically not true, for when I hath looked up, I saw… her…
“Do you recall a time, in thy dream, or while ye awoke, which ever twas, that thou said thou hath ‘Seen worse’? Well, I am the ‘worse’ thou hast seen! There is nothing else in the universe to fear… but this form I take, a form of your darkest self!” The Dreamlord explained. She was, indeed, the form I had feared most. She was me, in the form of… Nightmare Moon… she looked just like how I looked before I was banished, only her armour was pure silver, and not dark purple.Every foal fears the dark, the boogymare, rejection… the monsters… the monsters from their imagination, the monsters that go against everything thou believes in, the thing that thou will never want to be… my fear is far worse… for the monster I fear… is me. I’m Nightmare Moon. I’m the monster that hath created terror throughout Equestria… and there I was… standing right in front me like a reflection of a mirror. “Oh, what a nightmare. But… what sort do you believe I’ve meant by that? A bad dream, or a cruel reality?” The Dreamlord teased.“How can I get out…? How dusk I escape?” I asked through sobs.“I shall mark thou a profosy. In one hour, there will come a danger in Two. One tis’ real, one tis’ not. Once when the hour comes, thou must take action and figure out which one is True. One danger shall be in the world tis’ real, and the other in the world tis’ a Lie. So to escape my trap, you must find out which one is the, then await to fall into slumber. And in the said dream, you must face the disaster, and allow thyself to Die. Now sleep, or wake up, which ever it is, and be prepared for what is to come…”
I awoke, and sighed with relief. ‘Twas only a dream’ , I hath thought. But then I hath to consider how I felt in the dream, and how real it ever so felt. I looked upon the clock. Twas’ 1800 hours. I hath knew that I hath to ponder on how to solve the puzzle. Then, an idea hath struck upon me. I looked upon my calendar, and saw the date. Twas’ March the 1st of the 1,001st year. I laid down where I was, and awaited for yet another slumber or awaking. But I could not sleep…
“Aww… thou think'st thou hast the ability to sleep and wake up. Tis’ a nice try, but I hast the command on when you sleep or wake up. There shalt be any cheating in my game.” The Dreamlord explained, then teleported closer to me in a bath-robe, a small tea-cup in her levitation. “Here, take this espresso. Since thou can’t sleep, why not simply stay up? Or is it the other around? Oh, what dusk I know? Oh wait… everything! ” she exclaimed, then laughed ever so hard, the same laugh I once use to laugh. “Let’s have some exercise, shall we? Run!”
“W-why…?” I asked.
“Just run!! ” she demanded. In fear of her, I cantered . I hath no idea what she was capable of, so all I could do was just to run as far away as possible.
“Luna!? ” my sister asked as I passed her. I hath no idea rather she was following or not at the time, but I didn’t care. I needed to get out, as soon as possible. As swiftly as possible. Once when I made my way out of the castle, I kept running… and running… and running… until… I fell asleep.
I awoke, and back in reality… or so I thought until I remembered the true gravity of the situation (no pun intended).
“So, hath thou decided yet?” asked the Dreamlord, then teleported to another spot in a tan trench coat and a pocket watch on her hoof. “It appears to be almost time for ye death, or your awakening, which ever it is.”
“Nah,” I answered. “I hath not decided yet. But I do hast a question…”
“Oh? Well, what of it, then?” the Dreamlord asked with curiosity.
“The date in my dream, or in real-life, was March the 15th of the 1,001st year on 1800 hours. What date is it now?”
“Well…” The Dreamlord responded, and looked upon her watch. “It appears to be… oh, who am I kidding? There’s no time on the moon!” she answered, then levitated her watch to me to show the hands on the clock, spinning round and round to demonstrate her point.
“I mean on Equestria.” I clarified.
“Depends on where in Equestria.”
“In Canterlot, what time is it?”
“How are you suppose to know?”
“What?”
“I shalt tell thou of what you want to know, but only what thou needs to know.” The Dreamlord explained, then teleported on another spot in lavender pajamas and a sleeping cap with a yawn. “I think tis’ time to take another rest… or is it time to wake up…?” before I could make any more arguments, I was instantly stunned and passed out…
I hath awoken, or re-entered the dream.
“So, what to do… what to do… what will little Princess Luna of the night do?” asked the Dreamlord.
“Thou… thou hath reminded me of an olden enemy… one who shares the same abilities as thou appears to have. You remind me of Discord, a spirit of chaos, whom never needs to eat nor sleep, and hath the ability to make and wear whatever he desires with a snap of his claw and paw and teleport wherever he wishes, just as you do, Dreamlord. Ye him, aren't thou?”
“Me…? Discord…? Ha! Don’t make me laugh. He is but a Draconequus, a Q, who hast a need for entertainment in the world of reality and the power to get just that. I am a Dreamlord, I hast the need for entertainment in the world of dreams. We art different, not the same.” The Dreamlord explained. “Oh, and look; the time hast come. Desastor will fall, and thou must make a choice on rather thou will die here or there (the dream or reality), for one can’t live anywhere.” before I could question her, she was gone the moment I blinked.
“Luna!? ” Tia’ called. She cantered her way to me. I looked around, and saw that everypony hath been watching. The reason why they hadn’t ran away must be because only I can see the Dreamlord, for everypony else fears of her current form as well, but not as much as I. “What are you doing? Where were you going? Why-” before my sister could finish of her questions, there came not one roar, but four all in unison. Despite the protection we keep in the everfree forest, a hydra appeared. This was the life-threatening disaster to come, as foretold. Everypony screamed in terror… and I fell asleep…
I hath awoken… or hath fallen asleep…
“What hath thou done!?” I screamed at the Dreamlord. “I can die while I’m asleep!”
“Or art thou…?” the Dreamlord asked. My face turned red in frustration. “Oh, look at the time… apparently, there is time here, for it hast came. The time for potential death. The time… for the lunar eclipse…” I could see my sister’s sun, slowly moving it’s way towards my moon… and I was on the wrong side of the moon, the side that faces the sun. “You know,” the Dreamlord said, laid back on a reclined couch with a tanning panel and wore a pair of sunglasses. “Thou dusk needs’ith a tan. Ever so bad, in fact. Oh wait… what if thou gets to close to the sun again? Something about burning? I wonder…”
“You art mad! ” I exclaimed with a stomp.
“Well, when thou is an infinitely powered being whom only suffers through boredom, let us see how long thou can stay sane, thyself.” the Dreamlord defended. I growled in frustration. I dusk not need to be a Dreamlord to go mad, for I myself hath already had. “The time hast come, Luna. The time hast time for you to chose which is real… and which is fake…”

“This one, tis’ the one that’s real…

Nay, twas a dream. This is the real one…

Nay, twas a dream. I am most certain that this one is…-

But tis’ not… it’s this one…
***
this one…

this one…

this one…
…
...I’m confused…
…
I awoke and hath fallen asleep, unsure of what order twas. After lots of running form the hydra and the sun, I hath fallen into a new place. Twas dark, and hath no ground. I floated into a complete nothingness, staring at nothing but two mirrors. On one reflection, was me on the moon. On the other, was me in Canterlot.
“So… hath thou made’st ye mind yet?” asked the Dreamlord.
“I…- I don’t know… tis’ not fair…” I said with a sob. “Why do I have to chose between these two different lives…? One I don’t have to suffer loneliness… the other I don’t have to suffer jealousy… even if I can chose which one is real, I just can’t make up my mind... “ I cried, unable to handle that extreme mixture of feelings I hath felt.
“It’s okay… take thy time… thou dusk not hath to-” the Dreamlord tried to sooth me, and that’s when she made me snap.
“SHUT UP! Thou shalt not speak like my sister like that! Only Tia’ treats me like that! She treats me with fake-love… with real love… WHY AM I SO CONFUSED!!!?” I cried. And for once in this entire story, the Dreamlord fell silent, for no words hath to be spoken. I cried while I tried to ponder on which was real… but as soon as my emotion took over, I hath started to not think, but feel…
“... I know which one’s the dream now… I am ready to kill myself to wake up and stay in reality…” I finally said.
“Ohh… really…? I hath been dieing for an answer, ye know. So… which one is it…?” the Dreamlord asked. I faced her, for once in this entire story, I faced her. I made complete eye contact, and swam my way to her to whisper in her ear. She nodded, and then the two mirrors broke…
“Are you sure this is the dream? What if you made a mistake? What if this is actually reality?” the Dreamlord asked.
“I don’t care anymore.” I explained. “I hath no purpose to live here… even if it is true, I would rather die than this world be a dream. I don’t know that rather it’s a dream or not… I want it to be.”
“... so be it… the moon it is then…” the Dreamlord said, not giving a single hint rather or not I was right. But I dusk not care.
“And by the way,” I said as I sprouted my wings. “How dusk I know what a couch is if tis’ not even invented yet?” I asked, then flew off towards the sun, and I burned to ashes once when I burned to ashes…
I awoken, in the ruined streets of Canterlot. The hydra smashed it’s way through our sakrete city. My sister hath not found me yet, for I hath been running as far away as possible so I could talk to the Dreamlord in peace. Hmm, ‘in peace’ sounds rathre funny considering twas anything but.
“So, this is reality. This is the real world, the moon was nothing but a dream all along.” the Dreamlord said. I gave her a spectacle look. “What…?”
“Why art thou here…? In fact… why art thou in both worlds, dream and reality… dusk thou only live in the dream-world, I recall…?”
“I… don’t want to answer that…”
“But of course you don’t… tis’ ever so cruel…”
I flew up into the air as quickly as I could.
“Luna!!! There you are! What are you doing!?” called my sister, Tia. I cried, and prayed that whatever reality is, tis’ better not be without her. As I flew my way to the jaw of the hydra, I muttered my last word;
beep… beep… beep… beep…
I groaned.
“She’s waking up… doctor…! Doctor…! She’s awake!”
“She is!? You, messenger, go alert the Princess ASAP... !”
***
“... Luna…?”
I slowly woke up. For once in ever so long, I hath awoken. My sister looked down upon me, and for once, I was happy she did. “Sister…?” I asked, then started to cry. My sister grabbed me in a big hug, and I cried into her shoulder. The difference this time was that it was real, this time everything is real. “I’m sorry… I’m sorry for what I hath done long ago… I’m sorry I hath attempted to bring eternal night… and I forgive thee. I forgive thee for exiling me to the moon… thou did what was needed to be done to save Equestria… and me…” I said between sobs.
“... and I too am sorry. I am sorry for sending you to the moon for a thousand long years, and I forgive you for your attempt to bring eternal night. And I am again sorry… for never saying those every words since you first returned, and for hesitating before saying it now.” Tia’... apologise. The first thing I hath said when I hath returned was that I was sorry, and never had she ever said the same to me. And I no longer think of it as pride, but of pure guilt.
“I love thee, big sister…”
“I love you too, little sister…”
From that day forth, I hath healed from the day I became Nightmare Moon, and am longer afraid of her No More. And so, I hath learned that one should always forgive no matter how heinous a betrayal may be. One must always face one’s fears in order to move on and enjoy life. For while one’s past may be dark and can hunt you for an eternity, one must remember the beautiful present and the bright future thou hast.

Spike, write this fer’ me
Spike, can you write this for me please?
Spike, write this for me, will ya’?
Hi, ah’m Applebloom! And ah’m Applejack’s little sister, the one who wrote about the worm infestation. Ah’ like ta’ help mah’ sister with her apples, fix things, n' crusade!
Dear Reader,
My name is Sweetie Belle, and I’m Rarity’s little sister, the one who wrote about the date. I like to help Rarity make dresses, sing, and crusade!
What’s up? The name’s Scootaloo, … Scootaloo… anyway, I’m Rainbow Dash’s adopted little sister, the one who wrote about that awesome explosion at the awesome Wonderbolt show! I like to do cool stunts with Rainbow Dash, do some really sick moves on my scooter, and crusade!
Our sisters had told us about how they’ve been given these mysterious letters from a guy called DrWhoFan611.
He’s been, like, asking for stories about something awesome that happened to them recently.
And now, we’ve been sent a letter ‘bout our stories, and he wanted us to put em’ all together in one!
All the other stories we hadn't mentioned that had been added to collection so far was about renting a book, … being Pinkie Pie… a horror movie, a hoofball game, a non perfect tea, and a supernatural encounter with a Dreamlord.
And now it’s our turn! And this time, it's not going to be some stupid, sappy story. But a real, awesome story!
And ta’gethor, we’ll have our stories separate yet united.
Because we are united as one as the Cutiemark Crusaders, on a quest to find out who we are. And we will never stop the journey until we found our cutiemarks.
Hope y’all will like it!
I hope you will enjoy
I’m sure you're gonna' like this!
YAY!!! CUTIEMARK CRUSADERS AUTHOR CUTIEMARKS!!!

It was a nice, hot n' sunny day. Perfect fer' pickin' apples. Ah' was just a-carryin' mah' own bucket of apples, when suddenly...
"What in tarnation is that!? " ah' yelled, pointin' at mah' sister's basket. Her name's Applejack. It was a-shakin', n' Applejack dropped her basket ta' look. Seein' Applejack react to it was the only reason why ah' was dead-sure ah' wasn't a-seein' things.
"What in Celestia's mane...?" mah' sis' sward. Yup, it totally wasn't jus' me. Ah' took a look mah'self, n' saw em' yucky wheatworms ah' learned about in school... then an idea came ta' me. But then Applejack spoke first. "Big Mac...?"
"Eeyup" said Big Mac, mah' big brother.
"Time ta' start exterminatin', isn't it?"
"Eeyup."
"Big Mac... we need Granny Smith..."
"Eeyup... I'll get her..."
Big Mac left ta' go get Granny, then ah' took mah' opportunity ta' tell AJ 'bout the wheatworms n' jus' how we can get ride of em'.
"Hey Applejack!" ah' called. "Ah' know how ta'-"
"Not now, Applebloom. We need ta' get Granny Smith n' her wisdom. She'll know what ta' do."
"But Applejack, ah' think ah' know how ta'-"
"Jus' do what yer' told n' get back ta' work. This is a matter fer' the big ponies ta' handle."
"But you say every problem is fer' the big ponies ta' handle!"
"Applebloom, jus' get back ta' work!" AJ scolded. Ah' hate it when she's like that. Despite what AJ said 'bout a-workin' instead of a-helpin' ta' fix the problem, ah' decided ta' follow n' see if ah' could get Big Mac er' Granny Smith on mah' side...
It was, like, a totally awesome day. I had finally manage to perfect my sharp turns, and a few new tricks on my scooter! Everypony just walked about in Ponyville, totally not minding me and my awesome skills. They use to be more carful, but now they basically don't worry at all. Every time I go raiding on my scooter, there came lesser and lesser accidents, and now it very really happens. And you know what else is rare? Tickets to the Wonderbolt show! Speaking of which, I was just taking a break when...
"~I got the tickets! I got the tickets! I got the tickets~! Woo ho!!! 'Can't wait to invite Pinkie Pie! This is gonna' to be so rad when we hit the Wonderbolts' show!" I heard Rainbow Dash sing on her way to sugar cube corner. There was no way she would have forgotten about me!
"Hey Rainbow Dash!" I called. "Are those Wonderbolt tickets!?" I asked.
"Um... no, defiantly not! What can possibly make you think that?" she asked with an awkward laugh.
"Well, I just heard you say 'tickets' and 'Wonderbolt show', so I thought...-"
"Are you a spy?"
"What? No! I just over heard! Still, why invite Pinkie Pie? You know I would love to go to the Wonderbolt show with you! Why not bring me? "
"Well... um... alright, you caught me. I just thought it was easier to make sure you never knew than to raise your hopes just to crush em'."
"What...- what do you mean...?"
"Here, look at the ticket your self..." she handed me one of her tickets.
"Wow! Even the ticket looks awesome!"
"No, I mean read it ... at the bottom, just skip to the bottom."
"Let's see... blah, blah, blah, 'no smoking', blah, blah, blah, 'sponsored by -' this and that, blah, blah... blah... oh..."
"Yeah, ya' see? That's why I didn't want you to know about the tickets. It's age restricted. They won't let you in."
"But... why?"
"I dunno'. Maybe the people there drink and swear and parents most of complained about it, I dunno'."
"But..- but...- oh, I know! We can get a trench-coat and a mustache, then-"
"Kid', sorry. You know that trick never works. Besides, as your big sister, I personally don't want you to have all those bad words in your head and end up in a fight anyway... oh horse apples, I gotta' start hangin' out with AJ and Rarity less often... still, you heard me. Again, I'm real sorry kido', I the least I could do was not tell ya' about it. If things were different, you would have been the first pony I would ask." Rainbow Dash explained.
"Gah! It's not fair!" I... totally didn't whine.
"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..." Rainbow Dash said one more time before she left.
"Hey Pinkie Pie, wanna' go see the Wonderbolts?"
"Sorry, the Cakes have a big order to fill. And they could defiantly use an extra set of hooves."
"Oh, alright... see ya', Pinkie..."
Rainbow Dash turned away with a really said look. I trotted up to her, then gave her my biggest smile.
"Sorry, Scots. 'Age Restricted'."
"Ohh.... no fair..."
(Remember what I said about 'Squeaky Belle' in The Date...? Yeah you do... -DWfan)
It was a dark night, the perfect time to do some arts and crafts for my sister, Rarity . She was going to die for it! When Rarity showed up, she was in more than the right mood , so I knew that is was the perfect time to show her my creation ! I took a deep breath , then-
"Sweetie Belle~ , my dear, you would never believe what a miracle this day was!" Rarity said. I didn't want to spoil her mood, so I decided to just let her finish another one of her stories, then I could have my chance... "It was wonderful, it was marvelous, it was a day I never saw coming!"
"Ah, hah."
"It was the day I was waiting for my whole life! "
"Ah, hah."
"This morning, while Caramel and I were on another picnic... I had told you of Caramel, had I?"
"Ah, hah."
"Great! So, as I was saying; Caramel were on a picnic, when he asked me... on a date! And I said 'yes'!"
"Ah, hah- wait...! You what !?" I exclaimed . Out of all the things I thought Rarity would have said, this one I never saw coming! From that point on, that's when everything fell apart.
"You heard me, 'a date'! Isn't it just wonderful!? " Rarity asked. So ... I answered as calmly and diligently as posible...
"It's *awful! "*
"Why so, dear? *Do wo' w'ink w'it's w'oss!? " (Do you think it's gross?) Rarity asked in her stupid baby voice and squeezed my cheeks . I hate it when she does that.*
" No,* no. It's just ... you'll have less time with me , and ... I like spending time with my big sister !"*
"Well, I think you should grow-" *Rarity thought I thought romance was gross , but I don't ! I love romance ... just ... not when it's my bit sister ! "-... oh... oh, I'm sorry; I didn't know... I...- look, Sweetie; don't worry about it too much, dear. It's not like I'm going to merry him, it's just-"*
"But *what if you do, hah ? Now now , but eventually you will, won't you!?"*
"Why, Sweetie, I swear that if I do, I will *still always be around. Just... not as often... but if it may or may not happen, for this is only our first date. It could be our last for all I know. Sweetie, look, don't over think this. I'll always be around to play with you. Honest." Rarity explained . I wasn't so sure rather or not she wasn't just saying that and not actually planning on spending more time with Caramel forever. So, just to be sure...*
"You promise?"
"I promise."
"Pinkie promise?"
I cross my heart,
Hope to Fly,
I'll stick a cupcake in my Eye
I smiled. She did it. She spoke the words and did the gestures. The Pinkie Promise was sealed, never shall it be broken.
"Thanks big sister!" I cheered with a hug.
"Like I'll ever stop being your sister..."
"For a moment..." I said with a sob as I started to cry. "I really thought I was gonna' lose you."
"Oh, but of course not, Sweetie... now, I believe I have too-"
"No... just one more moment, please...?"
"Um... oh, all right. One more moment..."
Ten Days, Ten Pony Stories
Day 6: The Movie, by Fluttershy
Ten Days, Ten Pony Stories
Day 6: The Movie, by Fluttershy
Spike, write this for me please… if you’d like to, that is...
Hi, I’m Fluttershy, and I take care of animals in my cottage, and… stuff. I, um, feed them and help them get better when they're sick and… ah… all that stuff.
(I’m so nervous!)
I got a letter from 611th doctor of ‘W.H.O’ (World Health Organization), D-Doctor Fan. It’s the same letter my friends got. He is basically asking me to… um… write a story about myself to him. Twilight wrote about the time she gave a book to Ditzy, Applejack wrote about the time she had a wheat-worm infestation, Rainbow Dash wrote about the time she survived a major fire at the Wonderbolt stadium (and I’m glad she’s okay), Rarity wrote about a horrible date she had a few weeks ago, and Pinkie Pie wrote about… I honestly still can’t get what she wrote about (no offence! I’m sorry! I hope I didn’t hurt you in anyway…)
So, I guess it’s my turn, s-sense you asked me too. It’s okay if you don’t like, j-just please don’t be angry…
Your Humble Writer,
-Fluttershy
I curled up in a corner in the corner of my cottage, s-scared of what was going to happen next. I shacked in my hooves.
Knock, knock, knock, knock
I froze.
Knock, knock, knock, knock
I started to cry, now completely scared. I thought I was going to die.
Knock, knock, knock, knock
“Fluttershy? Fluttershy? You’ve been gone for a week, I’m worried about you… Fluttershy…?”
“Happy Birthday, Fluttershy!” said all my friends, together at once. Twilight and Spike, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, even Pinkie Pie were all there, and brought their pets too; Owlicious, Waroona, Tank, Opalescence, and Gummy. Angel was there too- the cutest, sweetest little bunny… well, mostly… I hope you don’t think I’m not saying anything mean about him. If you do, then I’m sorry.
So, anyway, as you already know, it all started on my Birthday. Like any other Birthday, we had cake, danced to music, played pin-the-tail-on-the-pony, and opened presents. T-that last part was what started it all. Twilight got me a new book on peacocks, Applejack got me a apple-themed blanket for my sick hyena, Rainbow Dash got me a new pair of flying-goggles, Rarity sewed me a n-nice, white sun-dress, and Pinkie Pie got me a movie ticket. That last gift, the movie ticket, that was what started it all. Because if I h-handn’t got that ticket in the first place, none of this in my story would have happened.
The day after that happened, I decided to spend my one ticket and see myself a movie. S-sometimes, I can use a break. I had Spike watch over my animals while I went to see the movie.
I walked in, turned my ticket in, and took a seat and waited for the movie. I had no idea w-what movie the ticket was for, a-and I should had checked f-first. B-but the movie played, and it was too late…
***
“W-what are you…?”
“We are the Ood.”
“An… Ood…?”
“Your song is ending, Tailor. It is ending very soon.”
“What does that even mean!?”
“Your song is ending, and it will end now- when she will knock four times.”
“What are you-”
Knock, knock, knock, knock
“What…- wait... what are you doing…? What are you…- NOOO!!!!”
***
It w-was a really… scary… movie… I wanted to run, I wanted to leave, but I couldn’t move. Because when Suit Tailor was told by a wise librarian that his song was ending, he ran away, and eventually was told again and again, until a pony knocked four times, a-and… epp, I don’t even want to talk about the last part… it’s just way too scary. I was frozen in my chair the whole time, silently, more scared than I had ever been in my whole life. A-and I’ve been scared of a lot of things. Eventually, the theater staff had to pull me out of my chair, and carried me out like I was a statue. I was frozen like one anyway.
After I was thrown out, I finally decided to get up and walk home. I-I was in the theater all day, so it was d-dark out. I was a bit scared of the dark, but at that time I was even more scared than ever. And an Ood might of found me! I turned around, and cried,
“Please! Please let me back in!” but then they told me,
“No, we’re closed. Go home.”
So I had to brave through the dark… a-and… i-it wasn’t… easy…
“~T-there’s music in the tree-tops… th-there’s m-music in th-the v-vail…~” I sang to myself, trying to k-keep myself brave. But every single time I heard the wind howl, or a door opening and closing, or any sort of a sudden sound, I would hide or duck. Everything and a-anything could scared me. Even…
“Fluttershy!” a voice called.
“Epp!!! ” I yelled, then I hide behind a barrel.
“Fluttershy!?” the voice called again. I started to shake, and it gave me away.
“Oh, there you are!” said the voice.
“I backed up, until I hit a corner, with no where to run.
“Fluttershy?” the voice asked again, it was Spike.
“P-p-please d-don’t hurt me…” I muttered.
“‘Hurt you’? Ah… I was just telling you to go so I could get to bed because it’s, like, 11:00! ”
“Oh… s-sorry… I was…- um…-”
“Hey, it’s cool, alright? I’ll walk you home if you like.” Spike offered. I nodded, then we walked together on the way home. It w-wasn’t as scary as it was before because I had somepony (oh… u-um, dragon, I mean… sorry…) to be with. I wished I was never alone again, and the moment Spike said, “Alright, we’re here! See ya’ tomorrow.” my mind started to panic. “... ah, Fluttershy…? Why are you hugging me…?” Spike asked. I looked down, and realised I suddenly cuddled with Spike like a teddy bear when one of my owls hooted. I let him go with a blush and an embarrassed smile. “... anyway… I’ll be heading home. See ya’-”
“W-w-wait…” I said.
“What now…?” Spike asked when he turned around. At this point, I cuddled Spike even know he wasn’t in the mood, made him stay up past his bedtime looking for me, I’ve been nothing but a selfish pony, and then I wanted to ask him to stay . I just couldn’t bring myself to do it, yet I couldn’t say ‘Never mind’ and let him leave either.
“Um… this is…- I dunno’, a bit odd right now-”
“Ood!? ”
“- wait… wha-”
I screeched, then ran for my door, and crashed. Then I passed out…
I woke up on my couch. It was morning, and Spike most of dragged me there then went back home to rest. The poor dragon, I made him go through so much... there was day light, so I could be able to go out. But... I was still a bit too easily startled.
***
I was almost done with teaching my daily singing-lesson with my birds after I was done with my chores, when Twilight came around.
"Hey Fluttershy, I hope I'm not rudely interrupting." She said.
"Oh, don't worry, we were just finishing." I assured her, and continued to direct the birds as they headed for their final notes.
"Oh, good- so I'm just in time since your song is ending ."
I froze, and my birds stopped singing all the sudden. My wings folded back into my back, then I fell to the ground, then ran with a scream. I ran my way to the park, then finally calmed down... a little bit, but it wasn't for long.
"Ah', hey Flutters'!" said Rainbow Dash. "Wanna' play some 'ball?" she asked, and held her ball on her hoof, like... how an Ood holds his telepathic ball they used to speak! I screamed again, and ran. Everywhere I looked, I saw something that reminded me of my song ending, Oods, and all the scary stuff from the movie! I ran home, and curled up into a corner...
I curled up in a corner in the corner of my cottage, s-scared of what was going to happen next. I shacked in my hooves.
Knock, knock, knock, knock
I froze.
Knock, knock, knock, knock
I started to cry, now completely scared. I thought I was going to die.
Knock, knock, knock, knock
“Fluttershy? Fluttershy? You’ve been gone for a week, I’m worried about you… Fluttershy…?”
"... Fluttershy...? It's me, Twilight. Spike told me about how you were yesterday, said you said something about an 'Ood'. Is there something wrong?" Twilight asked with concern. She knocked four times! That's when Suit Tailor died, when 'She knocks four times'!
"Angel!" I cried. My sweet little bunny Angel came, with his 'What do you want?' look. "Hide me!" I yelled. He gave me a curious.
"Fluttershy, it's me, Twilight." came Twilight's voice. I was still scared because she still knocked four times. Angel tapped me on the hoof, then followed him to my closet. It was perfect. I got in, then Angel closed the door... and then... I heard my door opened. "Oh, thank Celestia your- oh, hey Angel, have you seen Fluttershy. She's been acting a bit more... timid, than usual... oh, this way...? Okay then...?" I could hear Twilight walk closer, then Angel opened the closet. I curled up and shook. "Ah, there you are. Thanks Angel. Fluttershy...? What's wrong...? Spike told me you were a bit... jumpy, last night." she said, then she seemed to notice something. "Fluttershy... when you had a minor case a Panthafoobia, it was last night... when you saw the movie with the ticket Pinkie got you... oh no, Fluttershy, what did you see?" she asked.
"'T-the End of Time'..." I answered. Twilight cupped her mouth, then I hugged her tight and cried into her shoulder. "It was so scary..."
"There, there, Fluttershy. I'm sure Pinkie Pie had no idea what she was doing... it scares a lot of ponies, you know, so there is no reason to blame you." she said softly, rubbing my back to help me feel better. We broke up. "Here, lie down on your couch, and maybe you can talk it all out. I read a book on therapy, so I'm sure I can help..."
Twilight tied her mane up in a bow and had pair of glasses on, and I was on my couch, telling on her every detail of every feeling of every bit of the movie (and don't worry, she didn't mind the spoilers) and all the times I saw something that made me think of the movie. Whenever I started on the scary spots, the really, really scary parts, Angel allowed me to cuddle him so I could pull through. The more I shared, the least I felt scared, and as time went by, I eventually started to see how silly it all was, and how silly the movie really was. The Oods never even looked realistic at all. Soon, after at least three days of therapy from Twilight, I was finally able to at least be with Angel and not be scared. But, now I'm not sure how much I need Angel to be with me anyway, but even before the movie, he always made me feel safe and helped me whenever I had a problem. He did make sure Twilight could get into my cottage and helped her find me in the first place, despite how silly I was to try and hide in the first place.
So then I learned to always trust my friends, not to let my imagination get the best of me, and even if it does and I can't stop, never be afraid to ask for help.

Day 7: The Hoofball Games and Starswirl Books, by Princess Mi Amore Cadenza
Spike, write this please.
Hello, I am Princess Cadence, the Princess of Love, and protector of the Crystal Empire. I have been sent an ancient letter by the humble Sir. DrWhoFan from the year 611, requesting me to write a short story about something that happened to me in my life. I was not the only one, for the six Bearers of the Elements of Harmony have been sent some letters as well. Twilight, the Element Bearer of Magic, wrote about a time when she lend a book to a Ponyville resident named Ditzy Doo. Applejack, the Element Bearer of Honesty, had wrote about a horrible plague of wheat-worms that ruined half of her crops. Rainbow Dash, the Element Bearer of Loyalty, had written about her survival of the destruction of the stadium of Manehatten. Rarity, the Element Bearer of Generosity, had written a story about the stallion she fell in love with whom broke her heart. Pinkie Pie, the Element Bearer of Laughter, had written about… I honestly don’t know… Fluttershy, the Element Bearer of Kindness, had written of the time she was haunted by a terrible horror movie.
By now the mysterious letters have been well known, and everypony awaits for their letter, and now, it seems it’s my turn to write this mysterious writer a story. There are lots of fun times to tell, so many wonderful stories that I cherish, and not a single one I wish never happened. There’s always something to love about a day, you know. Now, it took me a real long time to chose one, and I think after some thinking, I think I might of found just the one...
I’ll have Spike write this letter with love. I hope you’ll enjoy.
Your Calm Writer,
-Princess Cadence
(On a sidenote; this is considered the first sneak peek to my coming soon series called ‘After the Canterlot Wedding’, so the way this story will be done will be a bit different… -DWfan)
I was in our master bedroom room, peace and quiet, reading the Starswirl the Bearded nonfiction novel my sister-in-law sent me. It was fascinating, really dramatic and well written. There was peace, there was quiet, I was drinking my tea, everything was perfect…
“GOOOOOOOAL!!! YES!FANCY PANTS OWES ME THIRTY BITS NOW!!! WOO! TAKE THAT, SUCKER!!!”-
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
-Came a… how do I put this? A cry for… joy, I guess. When I heard him yelled, I spilt my tea on my brand new bed. My mind was about to fuse with anger, but I stopped it by reaching my front hoof to my chest, breath in, moved my front off out, breath out. It always works.
“Honey?” I asked when I entered the living room.
“Wait a sec’, babe’.”
Applause
”I think he’s gonna… YES!!! Three scores in a row!!!” said Shining Armor,
Ha, ha, ha, ha…
Captain of the royal guards and, believe it or not, my husband. We are so perfect together.
“... alright, um… can I talk now…?” I asked.
ha, ha, ha, ha…
“Hah? Oh, yeah, sure.”
Bw, ha, ha, ha, ha!
he replied, then turned off the new Television that was recently invented. I watch it sometimes when ‘Gilmare Fillies’ is on or something like that, it’s like watching a play in a tiny-screen and in black and white. “There’s, like, ten seconds left and the Diamond Dogs had already scored 15-10, so the Gifted Alicorns team is basically as good as lost! So, I’m about to get thirty bits! What do you think we should spend it on? Dinner? Maybe take Fancy Pants to the ‘In-your-face’ cafe’?”
HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!
anyway, Shiny’, I was wondering if you could… um… keep it down, maybe?” I asked nicely. But then…
“So you don’t like sports.” Shining’ accused.
Ha ha ha!
“Well… no , no, not at all.” I calmly answered.
“I knew it.” Shining replied disappointedly.
HA HA HA HA HA
“Wait, no, I didn’t mean I don’t like it, I do! It’s just… can you tone it down… just a nonch?” I clarified.
“How can you have sports and not be loud? It’s like being loud while reading.” Shining’ questioned.
ha ha ha
I used my breathing technique, I was not going to over-react.
“Well… can you... just… talk with your inside voice when you're rooting, dear? Instead of yelling loud enough so the rest of Equestria can hear?” I asked, hoping he would have agreed to that. But… well… instead, he said,
“Cadence, let’s face it. You don’t like sports, do you? You just want it all nice and quiet so you can read those boring books.”
“W-what!? N-no, of course not dear, I, um… I like sports, I do.”
“Who’s you’re favorite team?” he tested me.
“Well… I don’t need a favorite. It’s not fair to give one pony more attention to the others.” I told him. And it’s true, having a favorite is just not nice.
“Cadence, you’re acting like I asked who is your favorite foal.-”
ha ha ha ha
“-That’s probably something to deal with later…” he added.
Ohhhh...
“Just… keep it down, please.” I told him, then left for my book. When I started to read, I started to pay less and less attention to it, thinking about what Shining Armor said. I never went to any hoof-ball games, I never even at least watched it on T.V. with him. As I thought more and more, I realised how we had… some opposite taste, really. My husband spends his day when he’s not on duty watching hoofball while I stay in the room whenever I’m not on royal duty. So, I knew exactly how to fix this…
“Come on… come on… almost… NO!!! No! What are they doing!? They’re going to lose the second half!!!” I heard my husband yell.
“Shiny’?” I asked.
“Hang on, not now.” Shining’ waved me off. I waited a moment.
“Shining’...?”
“Hang on…”
“... ah, when…”
“Oh! Oh! Oh! I he’s gonna’ make it! He’s gonna’ make it! He’s gonna’- what!? No! Why did the T.V. break down!?”
“I… wonder why…” I lied, then slipped the chord I unplucked under the television.
Ha ha ha ha ha!
He covered his face with his hooves and groaned. I walked in front of the television.
“So… since the television has been… somehow turned off…-”
Ha ha ha ha
“-... I might as well tell you now.” I said.
“Tell me what? ” Shining’ asked.
“Well… Shining Armor… I’m going to the hoofball game with you!” I announced.
“Wait…- wait a second… can you repeat that? I think I got something in my ear.”
ha, ha, ha,
“You heard me, honey! I am going to the hoofball game with you right now.” I explained.
“So… no books…?”
“Nope.”
“No anything to pass the time for the game to be over?”
“Why would I? I love hoofball… okay, going to love it.”
Ha, ha, ha, ha
“Ha! I knew it! So… we’re actually going to the game? Nothing else? No other thing there is to go with it? Just you, and me, to the game?”
“I cross my hearts.”
“‘Cross your… hearts’ ?”
“Yep. One heart is the heart that will keep beating for you, and the other keeps me going so I’ll never stop loving you.”
ahhhh…
Shining smiled at that.
“Alright then, I’ll go get my Diamond Dogs cap’…”
After one hasty trip and the use of my 'Princess' card, we managed to make it too the hoof-ball game. I redid my mane a little bit and wore a hoodie with a skirt to cover my cutiemark so no pony would notice me. Luckily I have my own crystal train to get us at the ball-game in Manehatten swiftly.
"Hey, Shining! He just tackled him! Isn't that against the rules? He could have been hurt!" I exclaimed.
HA! HA! HA! HA!
"Cadence, it's just a game. That's how it's suppose to work!" Shining explained.
"But... it's not fair! Ponies could be hurt!"
"Well, it's the first rule of sports; no pain, no game."
"That's unbelievable! "
Bwa ha ha ha ha!
"Ah, Shining Armor what a lovely surprise,-" said Fancy Pants, who was on his way to a seat before he noticed.
Applause
"-I recalled you said you were going to stay at home to spend some time with your wife."
"Well, we decided to do it here." I explained.
"Why, Cadence, I never knew you were any sort of sports fan," Fancy Pants noted, taking a seat next to Shining Armor. "The only reason you can possibly be willing to go to a game is to avoid hurting your husband's feelings."
Ha, ha, ha, ha
"What...? No, no, not at all. I... totally like sports."
HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!
"So, anyway, Fancy Pants- ready to give me my thirty bits?" Shining changed the subject.
"Well, I'm afraid not, old boy, for we are not only counting the first half but the second as well." Fancy Pants explained.
"Pft, whatever. The Diamond Dogs are winning anyway!"
"On the contrary, old boy. For you hadn't been paying quite enough attention to the game, now haven't you?"
"What do you-..." Shining tried to ask, but then his jaw dropped when he saw the score.
"Get ready to pay your bits, young man. For I foretold this rather better than you had, I dare say."
"Oh, go to Tatarious!" Shining sward.
"Shining Armor!" I scolded.
Ha ha ha ha
"Ah, don't threat now dear, we're just having a bit of fun." Fancy Pants defended.
"But that's offensive! "
Gah, ha ha ha ha!
"And then, in the thick smoke from the fire, I lost my mother, never had I ever saw her again. I cried, I cried 'Mummy, Mummy! Mummy!', but no matter how hard I tried, I could never find even the slightest trace of her. Gods' know what happened to her, and may they always protect her and keep her safe."
I read. After seeing that ridiculously loud game of hoof ball, Shining and I agreed to read the Starswirl book together on our bed.
"Shiny'... are you... crying?" I asked.
awwww...
He sniffed, then said "Nah, I'm just...- it's liquid-pride." then wiped his eyes.
ha, ha, ha, ha!
I rolled my eyes, then leaned on him. "Here, it's your turn to do the reading, sweetie." I said, then levitated the book to him, then he took it with his magic, and began to read...
So from then on, I learned that in order to spend some real quality time, you'll need to learn how to get out of your comfort-zone and try things they like, and maybe they'll consider trying the things you like. So girls, if you want to connect with your husband more, you need to think like a stallion. And guys, if you want to connect with your wife more, you'll need to think like a mare more, alright? As long as both of you try one another's favorite things, you'd be sure to come closer and became stronger together.
