Chapters Icefire was flying high over Ponyville, she enjoyed flying in general, but flying high was something special. Then she remembered that Twilight wanted her for some reason. She dove to 100 feet then sped to Twilight’s treehouse. When she arrived she knocked on Twilight’s door. She was greeted by Spike, Twilight’s assistant.
Icefire thought that it was weird that Twilight hadn’t been at home all day. Icefire came when Twilight was supposed to be studying. Whatever she was doing at Fluttershy’s must have been important to miss study hour. While she was preoccupied pondering what it could’ve been, she crashed into Fluttershy’s room. Fluttershy jumped about 5 feet in the air.
While on her way to Sugar Cube, Ice was almost hit by a diving Rainbow Dash.
Ice ran to Sweet Apple Acres and found Applebloom and the rest of the Cutie Mark Crusaders under an apple tree.
Upon entering they heard,
Ice and Applejack walked to the Everfree Forest. As Ice had never been in the forest before she stayed close to Applejack, too close for Applejack’s standards.
As soon as Ice was out the door she felt happier. She wasn’t sure if it was being away from the rhymes or away from the weird potion. She tried to take off seeing as her wing had stopped hurting. She sprinted towards a tree- she liked to fly over things- unfurled her wings, and leaped. Let’s just say she got well acquainted with some squirrels. Applejack came by and saw the situation. She was laughing as she pulled the white pegasus out from the tree. “That wasn’t funny,” Ice said a little angry.
Ice trotted over to the schoolhouse where she met Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.”Hey watch it!” Diamond shouted, “If you hit me, I will sue you!”
Ice walked over to the concert hall where Vinyl and Octavia were talking about something.
“No, there needs to be fireworks!” Vinyl stopped her hoof on the ground, causing her glasses to fall to the side slightly. She pushed them back up. Octavia shook her head. “No. The sparks will turn my cello to dust.” She stepped protectively in front of her instrument. “Come on. You got the solo!” Ice coughed politely to interrupt the two ponies. They both looked over- Vinyl smiled, and Octavia rolled her eyes. “Yes?” asked the brown pony. Vinyl rolled her eyes. “Hey chika. What’s up?” Ice smiled. “Heya Vinyl! I was wondering- have either of you seen Twilight?” The two looked at each other, thinking. Before they could say anything, Ditzy came swinging in on a power cord, George of the Jungle style. The three ponies ducked before the swinging mailpony could hit them. Ditzy giggled, and jumped off the cord before she hit a wall.
Soon, Icefire had arrived at Fluttershy’s cottage. Knocking on the door, she was greated by Angel Bunny. “Hey there Angel. Where’s Fluttershy?” Angel pointed up the stairs. “Thanks.” Ice trotted up the stairs, and into the room where Angel had pointed.
Icefire sat up in his cloud bed, and shook his head. He had just woken up from a deep sleep, which didn’t refresh him at all. It was because of a nightmare- a recurring nightmare, to be exact. Almost every time he went to sleep, he would dream that he had become a mare. He shuddered- the thought of him becoming a female pony scared him. A lot. A loud, obnoxious beeping began to sound, one that always got his attention, started to sound. He looked over to his alarm clock, which had a sticky note attached to it that stated that he needed to look over to his calendar. Looking over to the calendar, he read that he had a meeting with Twilight Sparkle today. He grinned- Twilight was a very good friend of his, one whom he had known since he was little. Rolling out of bed, he stretched and began to prepare for their meeting.
He was a mare now.
“TWILIGHT SPARKLE. WHERE THE BUCK ARE YOU?!” Ice screamed, looking around the library. Then he (or should I say she?) heard something coming from the basement, “And then the Daring Doo rushed to grab the Goblin’s Goblet!” Twilight read aloud. Ice kicked open the door, and flew down the stairs. She came to a short stop, folding her wings in tightly when she was close to Twilight and Spike. “TWILIGHT. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!” Ice spun around quickly, showing that he had turned into a she. Twilight giggled, and Spike was gaping. “I see you found the cupcake! How was it?”

“And that’s what I wanted to talk to you about, Fluttershy.” Icefire said, finishing up her story. “Oh I never would have guessed that’s what happened.” Fluttershy stated. “I feel sorry for you, it must be painful to live as a different gender.” While Fluttershy was wondering what it would be like to be a stallion, Ice was walking to the door. “I’ll see you Wednesday!” Ice reminded her about their appointment. “Okay see you then!” Fluttershy shouted quietly.
Ice walked out of her friend’s cottage, and stretched her wings. She shot up high into the altitude, just enjoying the feeling of being up high. She flew to Twilight’s Treehouse, she had a book that Ice wanted. When Ice got there she knocked on the door. She heard from inside “Ugh, who could it be at this hour?” Twilight opened the door and saw it was Ice “Oh, Hi Ice. I was expecting you earlier.” Twilight said with an undertone of annoyance. “Sorry my appointment with Fluttershy took longer than expected.” Ice stated. “What were you talking about that took three hours longer than scheduled?” Twilight asked. “We talked a little of my past.” Ice said shyly. “What part of your past” Twilight asked intrigued Twilight sure is getting a little annoying with these questions, Ice thought. “Parts.” Ice said, That should stop her, It has before. “Oh, I guess I should stop pushing.” Twilight said a little down. “Anyway, ‘Flying High’ is over there, it’s a very interesting choice.” Ice nodded “Yeah thanks I really needed this for what I’m studying.” Ice added with a smile. “Why are you studying this?” Twilight asked with wonder. Twilight shut up! Ice thought to himself. “I thought you were already the highest flyer in Ponyville.” Ice chuckled. “Just trying to protect my title. Thanks, Twi. I’ll see ya later.”Wow. She’s beautiful.... ’ ‘Hold up! Where did THAT thought come from?!?’ That grace... Seriously umm me stop that! Stop what? You didn’t think Rainbow was beautiful before. Well you haven’t seen a sonic rainboom until today. You are correct, but that doesn’t make her any more beautiful than before, just... faster. Well do you see the way the sun shone off her mane and body? What about the way her wings moved? What about... How fast she’s going I mean how fast can that be and how is she still flying that fast? Who cares about going fast? Did you see how aerodynamic she is? The way she cuts through the air? The way she’s.... TURNING AROUND AND COMING TOWARDS ME RIGHT NOW. CCRAPPPPP!!!!!!!!! ABANDON THOUGHTS! ABANDON THOUGHTS! Well we did forget to fly for like 20 seconds there while pondering this. FLY, CELESTIA DANG IT. FLAP!!!!!! Dude chill I got this. Ice turned over and saw the ground about 200 feet below her. Your plan is to divebomb?! You’re nuts! Just fly up to her! Don’t risk hurting yourself!! Even if she catches you... I got this just stop bothering me! I am the new female part of your brain. Until you get turned back, you’re stuck with me, dude. I’m not going anywhere. Ice blocked as much as he could of his “sacred” feminine side of his brain. It’s sort of effective.Feminine mind comes with a feminine body. Deal with it. Ice grabbed her head with her hoofs. “GAHH!” Rainbow raised a worried eyebrow. “You alright?” Ice nodded. “Yeah, sorry. Just.. have a headache.”Look into her eyes! Look into her eyes! NO! Yes! NO! Yes! NO! GO BUCK YOURSELF! Don’t you talk to me like that! “SHUT UP!” Ice shouted. “Woah, I wasn’t even talking dude.” Rainbow was startled. Smooth going, idiot. Now you just screwed this whole conversation up! Well maybe I didn’t want this conversation anyway! You know you like Rainbow. Don’t deny it. Why wouldn’t you want a conversation with a pony you like?! That thought is blasphemy! TO THE STAKE WITH YOU! “JUST SHUT UP!” Ice shouted. “GAH!” Ice fought out of Rainbow’s grip and flew as fast away as he could. Step One: Denial. Check. Step Two: Regret. Step Three: Wishing You Were Near Them 24/7. Step Four: Finally Coming To Your Senses and Admitting You Like Said Pony. We should be at step four in a few days. Who are you Twilight?! No. As I said- I am the feminine part of your brain. I know this stuff, dude. Trust me. These are the steps. Want to know something? You’re getting on my nerves and making me look insane in front of my boss! Ohh! Boss and Coworker! Me likey! But, anyway, really. I apologize. If you think this is bad, try being a full-blown mare. Being meant to be a mare. All the time. I’d rather not, anyway I didn’t ask for you but I’m gonna have to get used to you huh? Yes. So, if you wanna land the girl, listen to me! I’ve lived my whole life up until this point having no feelings for Rainbow, then you barge in and change everything in my brain making me look insane to my boss, also I just landed this job because Rainbow thought I could handle it and fly high all the time to clear the skies and make it snow. First, I haven’t changed anything. You’ve felt this way, I’m just bringing it to the surface. And dude. If you think you acting like this is crazy, imagine mares having to do this. All the time . I have a feeling you’re mistaking gratefulness for love, I’m grateful to have her take me away from my boring desk job. Also you’re also wrong on another topic regarding love, I used to have a crush on AppleJack. Just wait. You’ll see I’m right soon enough. Until then, I can wait. I know I’m right. And with the AJ thing- keyword was that you HAD a crush. Past-tense. In the past. Not today. Yeah It somehow died down when I turned into a mare because I thought of it as Filly-fooling. So that’s why I had it in the past tense. You don’t now, and now you can accept your true feelings! Of what? Filly-fooling!? Everyone is gonna make fun of us and you call that romance? What the buck is wrong with you? You’re asking for it, dude. If you’re that worried about being a filly-fooler, you wouldn’t even be one! Technically, you’re a stallion! It’s not homosexuality! Plus, THERE IS NOTHING BUCKING WRONG WITH BEING A FILLY-FOOLER, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT. PONIES WHO ARE HAVE NO CHOICE- THEY ARE BORN THAT WAY. Love knows no gender, age, race, ethnicity, or anything like that! Jeez, I was thinking a little wrong I do that a lot when I’m frustrated. I-I-I’m sorry. No, I’m sorry for snapping. I shouldn’t have. I apologize. But I’m the one who brought it up in the first place, wait I’m not having this conversation with myself. I guess I accept now that you’re a part of me now and you have a totally different point of view. Apology accepted. Thank you. Watch out! Ice slammed into the side of his cloud house. You okay dude? Happened before. So I think we should like, you know, MOVE! With that Ice removed his head from his wall. Ice opened the door and walked in to go to bed. Night, umm self? You need a name! Ermm.... Just call me.... Snow. Call me Snow. Again, sorry about before. I think I know a Snow, but not a really good friendship, more of an acquaintance. So I guess, night Snow. ‘Night Ice.
While Ice was sleeping something else was happening somewhere else in Ponyville, “Man what’s up with Ice today?” Rainbow thought to herself.
Rainbow was flying home and she couldn’t help but think about her new friend IceFire. What was up with her? She kept yelling at me? No not me, someone else, but who? “I’ll ask her tomorrow.” Rainbow arrived at her cloud house and retired for the night.
Rainbow woke up early for once. Ice was scheduled for this morning and she hoped to not miss her. She looked out her window “Yup, still cloudy. Good” Rainbow ate some cereal and drank some apple juice. “Better go talk to her.” She flew out of her house and looked for her. She found him and started flying towards her. “Hey Ice!” Rainbow shouted. Ice looked up at the cyan pegasus. “NO!” Ice shouted and darted off. “That was weird.” Rainbow remarked. “Umm good work everypony!” Rainbow nervously said, noticing all the pegasi staring at her. She went to talk to Pinkie, That pony knows where anypony is. Rainbow arrived at Sugar Cube Corner. She walked in and both ponies in question were there. “Hiya Dashie!” Pinkie shouted. “Wha- NO NOT AGAIN!” Ice dropped like 30 bits on the table and zoomed out a window, breaking it in the process. “That was weird, but whatever, I GOT A TIP!” Pinkie shouted. “Oh no you didn’t that money goes towards a new window.” Mrs. Cake explained. “Dang! Anyway why are you here Dash?” Pinkie asked. “Oh you know I needed to talk to Ice.” Rainbow explained cautiously. Sensing that Rainbow didn’t come for her Pinkie started to get sad. “But we can hang out after I’m done!” Rainbow said cheerfully. “Oki Doki Loki!” Pinkie was ecstatic, bouncing everywhere. “See ya later Dash!”
Well Ice could be anywhere by now , Rainbow thought. Great . Rainbow looked around herself. Maybe Fluttershy knew where Ice was. When Rainbow arrived she heard some talking, and she knew if she barged in Ice would shout and Fluttershy would be scared.

“So, Ice what couldn’t wait until tomorrow’s appointment?” Fluttershy asked Ice. “Well its not really in my past. Its more recent, like last night recent.” Ice responded. “Really? What happened?” Fluttershy asked, tilting her head to the side. “Well you know how I told you how Twilight turned me into a mare?” Ice asked. Fluttershy nodded. “Well something came with the transformation, another me.” Ice stated. “Well, when me and Rainbow were having a little race. That part of me was remarking how beautiful she was while flying.” Rainbow blushed. “I didn’t get any of those kind of feelings before my other me, which I’ll refer to as Snow, said that I had these feelings before and that she’s just bringing them up to me.” Ice said shyly. “Oh, I never would’ve thought that you would like Rainbow, if anyone I thought it would be Twilight,” Fluttershy admitted. “I’ve been thinking about it for a long time, and I have come to the same conclusion as Snow, I have a crush on Rainbow Dash.” Ice said proudly. I hate to say it, but, I told ya so ! Shut up! Rainbow who was already blushing, blushed even more. “Well Fluttershy I have to go.” Ice said with a smile. “Oh, yes, goodbye.” Fluttershy said returning the smile. Rainbow was so shocked about the story that she forgot to fly away, as Ice opened the door she bumped into her. Ice figured it was unavoidable so she came out and said it. “Rainbow I-I have a crush on you!” Ice blushed. Rainbow never had anypony tell her that and she didn’t know how to react, so she reacted the only way that came to her mind. “Oh. Well, ermmm.... bye!” Rainbow zipped out of Fluttershy’s cottage, and up high into the sky. ‘That was awkward, that was awkward, that was awkward! ’ Rainbow repeated in her head.
Hey Snow! You’re whole just outright tell Rainbow scheme didn’t work. Well maybe she didn’t know how to react and she just... She doesn’t feel anything for me. Ice was sitting in her cloud home, where she was sitting in her bed crying. You’ve been crying for 10 minutes you’re better than this! Hey! You’ve been through a lot! You deserve a small break from being tough. You can’t keep emotions like this bottled up, or you will go insane. Thanks. No problem. After a few more minutes Ice collected herself and flew to Twilight’s. She didn’t know why she chose Twi’s but she did anyway. She burst through the treehouse’s door. Spike jumped and hiccuped, sending Celestia a blank piece of paper. “What’s the rush Ice?” Spike asked. He didn’t see the slight discoloration around Ice’s eyes or the tears Ice was fighting back. “Get Twi” Ice could barely get out before bursting into tears. “Twilight!” Spike shouted up the stairs. “Coming!” Twilight shouted from upstairs, Ice also her say something to someone who was also up there. Ice heard some flapping wings and a shadow streak across the sky, Rain bow, Rainbow had also come to Twilight’s treehouse. “Oh hi Ice, You came here after umm talking to somepony didn’t you?” Twilight asked. “Yes.” Ice replied softly and slowly. Twilight picking up on just how sad Ice was, she sent Spike to get Fluttershy but Ice stopped Spike and instead told him to go talk to Rarity and to come back in about an hour. Spike left with a big grin on his face. “That bad huh?” Twilight asked nicely. “Worse.” Ice just couldn’t hold back the tears anymore, she burst into tears for the second time in an hour, she could tell it wasn’t going to be the last. Twilight tried as much as she could to comfort the weeping pony, but with no prevail. After a while Ice regained her composure, she retold what she told Fluttershy, and then how the confrontation went from her view. “I can’t help you. But I know what will make you happier!” Twilight ended with a big smile. “Nothing is going to make me happier.” Ice said depressed. Twilight would not stand for this. “That’s no way to talk!” She’s right you know. Oh shut it! I know you’ve been right about a lot of things but- But what? Nothing... See! Told you! Now what makes you happy? A lot of things. Specifics! Well flying high without a care in the world. Okay. Anything else? If not, you might resort to junk food. A lot of junk food. I won’t do that, I’ve only had junk food once and I hated it. Okay... Well, just a word of warning. Some of the stuff you might do while your hormones are going crazy. You’d be amazed at some things that some ponies do. For instance, when Pinkie gets depressed she stops being hyper and her hair deflates. Doubt that, Pinkie is always hyper no matter what. Funny. Nopony is happy all the time. Ever. It’s impossible. You must be new here, Pinkie is ALWAYS smiling, hyper, bouncing all over the place, and she’s always happy. Have you SEEN her when she’s had a bad day?! Her hair gets all flat, her irises get all small, she gets this crazy look in her eyes, and it’s just scary! How do you know this? I’ve never seen it, and we possess the same eyes. I’ve been a lot of places. What, you think you’re the only pony who hears a voice like me? Sorry, kid, but you’re not that special. So you’re saying that you’ve been in everypony’s head?! How? Not in everypony’s head. You could say that... I’m kind of like the little voice everypony hears in their head when they think. You know, how sometimes ponies think in the first or third person? Yeah, the voice they hear is me. Dude, that’s a little creepy. But so now you’re stuck with me? Well, your case is kind of weird. Some- keyword some- mares hear me, but it’s edited so it’s them that’s thinking. I’m just the general idea for the thought process, if that makes any sense. I’m the female version of you. But, since you transformed, you still have the stallion voice, which is dominate. I’m still confused but we can talk about this in more detail later. I think Twilight’s almost done talking. Okay. Thank goodness- I was starting to confuse myself. “-and that’s what I’ll do to cheer you up Ice.” Ice cocked her head at Twilight. “Oh, okay. Thanks.” Twilight squinted at Ice. “You didn’t hear a word I just said, did you?” Ice laughed. “What are you talking about? Of course I did!” Twilight might be bad at picking up lies but she saw right through that. She sighed, and opened the library door. “Come on. We’re going to cheer you up.”
They walked through town, stopped at Sugar Cube Corner for some rainbow cupcakes and ice cream, Ice found the wording of the things ironic. They went to Sweet Apple Acres to get some apple cider before anypony else. Applejack refused at first, but after hearing the story she let them. Twilight brought her next to Rarity’s Boutique, Ice was humiliated but Snow loved it. I wish I was a real pony! This is soo pretty! Try it on! Try it on! That would be so humiliating! Somehow Snow gained control over Ice’s bodily functions. “I want to try that on!” What are you doing and why can’t I move my body? Oh, relax. It’s not permanent. I just want to try this on! Whatever... “Are you sure Ice? I still know you’re a stallion at heart you know.” Rarity was wondering why Ice’s posture, expression, and excitement went up. “Yes! One hundred percent yes!” Ice was bouncing up and down with excitement. Twilight laughed. “Just let her try it on! She’ll calm down then.” Rarity also chuckled, “Okay dear, here.” Rarity handed Ice the dress. Don’t you think that I look lovely in this? Yeah, It sure hugs the body... Too much for my tastes. Beauty is pain, darling. Suck in your breath. You’re in control remember? Oh, right! There! What do you think? You look- beautiful. If we weren’t the same pony, I would blush. Thank you! Now let’s get out of this- you must not be enjoying being in a dress. You think? “Darling you look absolutely marvelous! Because of your situation, you can have it for two bits!” Rarity exclaimed. “Two bits? But it says twenty bits on the tag.” Twilight pointed out. “Twilight dear, I’m being generous!” Rarity explained. Ice felt a little guilty about it so she left ten bits on the counter and walked out with Twilight. Thank you so so so so so so so so so so so much! I love it! No problem. Uhh, could I have my body back? Oh, sure! Sorry! Ice regained control of his body and the changes were the same but in reverse. They were obvious enough that Twilight noticed it “Umm, Ice why did your posture change?” Uh oh! I got this! “I am? Well, it must be because... this bag! It’s kind of hard to carry like this.” Ice turned her head, and placed the bag with the dress into her saddle bag. “Ahh. So much better!” Ice came up with. “Really, that dress weighs like a pound! Tell me the real reason!” Cough up the truth. Buck! Uhh... Ice took Snow’s place. “Well when you transformed me into a mare, this umm, other me came with it. And she can take over my bodily functions and walk around as me and I can see the whole thing happening before my eyes. Does that make any sense?” Twilight raised an eyebrow. “Kinda... Well, it’s understandable.” Thank Celestia that worked! “Where to now Twilight?” Twilight smiled. “I was thinking we could just go back to the library and relax.” “I’m okay with that.” Ice returned the smile.
They walked back to the treehouse but Ice noticed a cloud that seemed to follow them. Ice regarded it as the wind. What she didn’t know was the pony on top of the cloud. “Why did you ever shut her down?” Rainbow asked herself. Before she could come up with a reason a little voice appeared in her head. Shyness?You shouldn’t have. “Huh? Who said that?” Rainbow said. Just the little voice in your head. “Why are you in there?” Rainbow asked. I come to those of guilty minds, or sad. I’m here to cheer you up! “Okay what do you suggest?”

Well that's it for the first part of what I will call the Icefire saga, Leave Ideas on what the next part should be like! I'll try to use as many Ideas as I can. These take a while to write, if you submit an idea in the comments wait about a week to see it appear in story! I WILL NOT PUT ANYTHING MATURE IN THIS SAGA ~IceFire8d3
