Chapter 1: The Amnesiac of a DemonView OnlineThe Demonic AmnesiacChapter 1: The Amnesiac of a DemonAuthors notes: This is my first fic, be as brutal as you need to be when giving me ratings on it. The Amnesiac of a Demon: Daggerpoint sighed. He had been running for weeks now. His usually spiked blue and dark red hair was matted to his forehead, and one of his angelic looking wings was broken from when thatthing caught up to him. On his flank was a scar, a square scar, which showed that his cutie mark was cut or burned off. He could use magic, as all unicorns and alicorns could, though he had no idea what magic he could use, but he intended to find out. His face remained an emotional mask and his eyes glowed blood red as he remembered what happened... The shadow had toyed with him, and then threw him against a wall. The only reason Dagger got away was because he was able to use magic. He couldn’t remember what he did to escape, though. He stopped for a breather. He didn’t know what was chasing him, but the whole time he was running, he never saw the open sky. He couldn’t remember anything but his name and a few words that replayed over and over in his head. “Kill the 6” the voice told him. Daggerpoint looked back to see if he could find the source of the words. Looking around, he again had no luck. He felt like dying. Killing himself. He hated this running game, yet he was surprised at how far he could run without being tired. He must have ran at least 4 miles without stopping, full sprint. His sleek and small red and black body was covered in sweat. He was almost out of energy. He wondered why he was being chased, why he couldn’t remember who he was, only his name. Yet this fighting came naturally. He spun and dodged like it was child’s play. Though he couldn’t keep up the facade for much longer. He allowed himself a bit of rest after finding a cave that seemed safe from that…that…THING. He tried to remember what happen. All he could remember is him being bound by chains, breaking out and escaping from that fortress, and then that….shadow showed up. Nothing stopped it, none of Dagger’s magic worked. The more he dwelled upon the even though, the more his mind hurt. All of the sudden his head felt like it exploded; and he could remember images of the past, bits and pieces. He saw himself standing in a sea of bodies, stained with blood and laughing. He saw his hoof through the heart of a mare he couldn’t remember, but he knew she was important. The one final image was the most bonechilling. He saw him and a group of 4 other ponies torturing a celestial looking, armored guard. They were cutting him up slowly and laughing, all of them enjoying it. He snapped back to reality, sweating gallons. He slammed his foot against the ground, and screamed into the dark world. “BUCK” he yelled, pissed that he wasn’t even allowed a rest, a chance to regain energy and memory. He tried to formulate a plan for escaping this world, and he came up with an idea. He decided to try to break through the rocky ceiling. He flew towards the top and saw the shadow coming. He flew away then started concentrating on the ceiling, directing the whole of his magic towards breaking the ceiling above him. He was almost depleted of energy, and he saw the ceiling start to crack. He started to think, “Shitshitshitshitshitshit”, as he couldn’t make more than a few cracks in the ceiling. “YOU’VE GOT TO BE BUCKING KIDDING ME!” as he completely ran out of energy. The ceiling of this strange land was cracked, and he decided he had to work fast. He splinted his broken wing. “Owowowowowow” he stared yelling at the top of his lungs. He finished and said, “Ok Dagger, you can do this”, he crouched to gain momentum and launched off the ground towards the ceiling. “AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” he screamed as a huge explosion was heard throughout that strange land as he broke the sound barrier by complete accident. He sped towards the ceiling, crashed through it, and shot up into…another world. “What is this light?” dagger asked. Where he came from, he didn’t know, but it was always dark. His eyes, spent in a life of darkness, couldn’t adjust to the light. He developed a raging migraine that sent him to his knees. He looked around weakly, then collapsed, too tired to say anything. A certain rainbow colored Pegasus was flying overhead and she saw him lying there. “HOLD ON!” she flew at him and scooped him up. To her, he reeked of death, of brimstone….”What does this mean?“She thought aloud. Dagger was close to passing out, so Rainbowdash decided to hurry him to Fluttershy, as she knew she would help him, even if he was a stranger. He had a strange scar on his flank, and he had bands on his legs that looked like they were….melded onto him. He was mumbling in his sleep, she caught the words “dominus”, “Assassins”, and “Endings”. She had no idea what those words meant, and to find out, she decided to visit Twilight, that mare was a total bookworm. She would know what they meant. “Let me go” mumbled Dagger. Rainbowdash replied, “What”? He said, a bit more stern, “let me down!” “No, you’re in bad condition; I’m bringing you to a friend of mine that can fix you up” “Fix me up?” Rainbowdash looked at him skeptically, not believing that he didn’t know what she meant. He noticed. “What’s the look for?” “Nothing at all, can I ask you something”? “Go ahead.” “Can I ask where you’re from?” “Tell you the truth, I can’t remember. I can only remember my name and…..” he decided not to tell her about the voices telling him to “kill the six”. For some reason, he thought it would freak her out. “And what?” “I can’t remember” he lied coyly. “Well….ok. WE’RE HERE!” Rainbowdash yelled, feeling uneasy. “Where?” Dagger looked around in confusion. Rainbowdash facehoofed. Had this…she struggled for a name in her mind. Had this thing been listening at all? “We’re at Fluttershy’s house. Duh” Dagger wondered just what kind of pony this Fluttershy was. He then realized he was caked in dry blood. HIS blood. He remembered what happened right before he showed up in this land. Rainbowdash gently landed, still scared of this small, yet seemingly lethal stallion. She still wondered about his…aura, and his scars. She walked up to the door and knocked. Dagger was surprised to see a yellow and pink mare open the door. He was struck by how good she looked. “What the hell is she? She doesn’t look like me; I thought all the others …..Wait who were the others again? I can’t…remember.” “H-hello Dash” the shy mare said to the rainbow Pegasus. “Hey Fluttershy, I found a stallion lying near a crevice by Sugarcube Corner. He’s banged up pretty bad. Do you think you could help him?” “I-if you w-want me to. Where is t-this stallion?” Fluttershy seemed scared; she wasn’t good with meeting new people... “He’s right behind….wait where’d he go?” RD said as she looked around. RD flew upwards, looking around for him. Fluttershy found him first though, and started to rush to him only to back up quickly as she smelled the brimstone and scent of dead bodies. She was scared out of her mind, but curious. She wanted to know where this….hellish smelling stallion came from. His angelic wings seemed to contrast with his body and face, which looked more demonic, evil, even….LETHAL. Her eyes finally dropped upon the scar on his flank. She remembered that only ponies who committed grave crimes had that happen to them. Her mind screamed out, “DANGER!” but it was her duty to help those in need. She wondered if it was her duty that made her want to help him or her certain…attraction towards him. He seemed to draw her to him. His mane, his body, his wings, his broken horn. All of these drew her to him, the only problem; he looked…evil. There were no other words to describe it. She was interrupted from her thoughts by RD. “You find him?” RD yelled from the opposite direction. “Y-yes!” Fluttershy said in a loud voice, which was still pretty quiet “What?” “YES!” “I still can’t hear you!” RD flew over to her. “H-he’s unlike any other pony I’ve seen. H-he seems dark, evil even…” “I thought the same. He told me he couldn’t remember anything. He started tell me he only remembered his name, but knew something else. He wouldn’t tell me what it was” “W-what did h-he say his n-name was?” Rainbowdash noticed Fluttershy was stuttering more than usual, and that she couldn’t take her eyes off that stallion. “Daggerpoint” Fluttershy thought she’d heard that name somewhere. She’d ask Twi about it later. “T-take him in, be careful though, his wing is broke” Together they picked him up and carried him inside and laid him on a bed. Fluttershy took a look at him, and realized how bad of shape he was in. The alicorn had various cuts, some bleeding profusely. He had a few broken ribs, a broken wing, and several bruises. She wondered what this curious alicorn went through to get to pony Ville from wherever he came from. Rainbowdash tried to start a conversation with Fluttershy as they bandaged him up. “Aren’t there only a few alicorns in Equestria?” Fluttershy thought about it, then said, “I think you’re right…i-if I know all the a-alicorns.” “What alicorns do you know?” “Celestia and Luna” “That’s I remember too, this is weird. They’re supposed to be nearly extinct” Rainbowdash said skeptically, eying dagger’s cracked horn. They both looked at the injured alicorn, and RD laughed. “This one can’t even compare to Luna or Celestia, so why are we so amazed?” Fluttershy thought RD sounded like she was just trying to convince herself. She’d ask about that later. “Hey D-dash, you can go now, I’m just going to patch Dagger up”. Rainbowdash flew out the door and headed to Twilight’s to ask for information about this so called Daggerpoint.
Chapter 2: The TruthView OnlineThe Demonic AmnesiacChapter 2: The TruthAuthor's notes: Due to my own emotions about everything, these next few chapters may be a bit more dark, starting after this one. Thanks all for the patience, I have 3 more chapters lined up. I'm going to post one every few days. --------Fluttershy's house-------- Fluttershy was grateful for RD leaving, she had to think. She didn’t want anypony interrupting her. “What’s up with this alicorn…?” Daggerpoint stirred, and he moaned as he got up. “What happened? Where am i?” as he noticed his body was more white than black now because of those damn bandages. Fluttershy rushed to his side. “You poor thing, i-its ok. You broke a wing, lay down and let it heal.” “Ugh…fine, how long will it take?” He already had trouble staying awake “A few days? You seem to recover faster than most…” Daggerpoint leaned back, adjusting so he didn’t hurt his wing. He drifted back off to sleep. Fluttershy had only been to think about that strange stallion, Daggerpoint. He just…rubbed off weirdly on her. She didn’t like him. In fact, she might hate him. He affected her in that way, made her think about turning back to her assertive self, and she didn’t like that. His aloof attitude, the bossy personality, the overinflated ego, they all pissed her off. Yet she couldn’t help but think that he could back up his attitude if he really felt like it. He could destroy them all, but Fluttershy hoped that wasn’t his intention. “How can I hate him without even knowing him?” she wondered, shocked that she even considered hating the stranger. ------Rainbowdash’s POV---- “Buck it all” RD said as she dashed to twilight’s house. She wanted to hurt Dagger, beat him within an inch of his life. She soon arrived at Twilight’s door, and banged on the door to get in. *BANG BANG BANG* RD knocked on Twilights door “Coming!” masculine voice called out. The door opened and a small, purple dragon stood in the door frame “Oh hey there RD, lemme get Twilight” Spike said as he ran back upstairs to go get her from the library. “Cmoncmoncmoncmon Twilight” Rainbowdash said nervously. She sensed something was going on back at Fluttershy’s, and she didn’t like it. Twilight sparkle came downstairs. “What’s wrong RD? Why do you look so worried?” “ifoundacreepystallionandhesatfluttershyshesmellslikedeadpeopleandlooksevil!” Twilight barely got anything out of that, but she asked, “What’s this stallion’s name?” “Uhm….he said Daggerpoint, I think” Twilight sparkle had a sudden realization; she had thought she knew that name from somewhere. “Please tell me I heard you wrong” “No, I didn’t stutter Twi, why?” Twilight shuddered, remembering where she had heard the name. She had heard it in a history book. “Daggerpoint …He’s a stone cold killer. He was rumored to be dead a few years ago, at the hands of a pony with the alias SparkTouch, who had to kill Dagger after he went berserk” Rainbowdash couldn’t help from laughing, though It was forced, nervous laughter. “Twilight, he’s smaller than all of us! How could he cause any damage?” She sounded like she was trying to convince herself rather than Twilight. “It doesn’t matter”, Twilight said shaking her head. “He seems harmless, but according to the stories, he’s a beast” Twilight pulled books off the shelf and riffed through them. “Here we go!” She showed the picture on the page to Rainbowdash. Dash said nothing as her jaw hit the ground. She saw in the picture a stallion with blue and red hair, spiked and matted with blood. The stallion had a wicked smile on his face like he was happy about what he just did. The massacre he caused. There were dead bodies all around him, he was the only one standing. “Oh Celestia….” Rainbowdash whispered. Twilight nodded. “It may be an urban legend, but it’s said he’s tried to kill every single one of his accomplices, whether he liked them or not” Rainbowdash started sweating and shaking . Twilight noticed this and asked, “What’s wrong, RD?” “He’s alone at Fluttershy’s!” “WHAT?!?!” Twilight was stunned. Rainbowdash spun around and took flight outside, and within a few seconds had hit a sonic rainboom, rushing to Fluttershy’s so she could protect her. Twilight heard somepony going down the stairs, she looked back to see a white colt with short, spiked blond hair, wearing a black vest and black buckled shoes. “Hey Rampage, you heard all that?” She couldn’t help but smile. He had guilt written all over his face. He smiled his signature arrogant smile. “I finished reorganizing the books in the library, anything else you need me to do?” She noticed he had dodged her question. “In fact, yes.” “What is it, Twilight? You know I’m in your debt.” “Go to Fluttershy’s house and check out this strange colt.” Rampage nodded, more excited than scared. He was tired of being cooped up. “Yes ma’am” He then teleported to Fluttershy’s. ----------Back to third person RD------ Rainbowdash was still flying, “I swear to Celestia, if that injured colt so much as bruises her, I will bucking END HIM!” she thought in a rage. ----------------Fluttershy’s house-------------------- Daggerpoint struggled to stay awake as he looked at Fluttershy. He has a lust. A strong one. One that called for blood, showers of it. He hadn’t seen anypony’s blood but his own, and he wanted new blood. Fluttershy was aware of his awakening, but not of his bloodlust as she handed him another painkiller. “Take this; it’ll help with the pain”. “I don’t feel any pain” Dagger responded with a steady voice and almost no emotion. He wanted to kill, to rip, to shred. *SLAM* The door opened, and in stepped a deep blue unicorn wearing a pretty snazzy suit, with a blunt horn. He wore shades and had a squid for a cutie mark. “Hey Fluttershy I’m ho…WHO IS THIS?!?!” the stallion got in Daggerpoint’s face, and Dagger was thinking the same exact thing. Inside his head, Dagger was cursing, unlike Squidlie. “Who is this fuckin arrogant prick, thinking he can get in my face?” Dagger thought as his jimmies were clearly rustled as Squidlie continued to confront him. Fluttershy came back into the guest room, where Daggerpoint was set up. “*SQUEE* SQUIDLIE!” she actually shouted. Daggerpoint wondered why her name included “shy” when all she did was flip out at the arrival of this colt. Fluttershy threw her hooves around the blue colt’s neck, making him grin ear to ear. “Hey ‘shy, what’s up? Who is this colt?” he was talking while making eye signals that screamed to Fluttershy, “HE’S EVIL LOOKING! WE NEED TO TALK IN PRIVATE!” but Squidlie’s voice stayed strong and emotionless. Fluttershy faltered. She didn’t know what to do. She didn’t want him to hurt the Red and black alicorn, who was lying on the bed. Dagger was injured enough already, he didn’t need to be hurt more. So she brought up another subject; even though she knew Squidlie would hate it. So they left the room and she brought it up. “Squidlie? H-how are your studies going? What’s twilight up to?” The sea blue colt sighed and shrugged, making his hair bounce a tiny bit. “I skipped out, it’s boring. I don’t want to be stuck on the beginner stuff. My control of water is past that” He said, with a bit of arrogance. Fluttershy smiled. “C’mon Squidlie, w-we’ve been through this, your studies come first” Squidlie laughed. A sound that echoed through the house. “You come first, shy. You always do.” Daggerpoint scowled. He felt sick, sick of this happiness. It was a feeling he never had experienced on a large scale, and he reached out towards the couple, wanting to kill both of them right no- *POOF* A puff of smoke appeared right in front of him. Daggerpoint withdrew his hoof as quickly as possible and feigned being asleep. The sound of the smoke got the attention of Squidlie and Fluttershy, and not long after they heard a crash. Squidlie rushed to the guest Room to find a scene he could’ve lived his whole life without seeing, and wished he could unsee.
Chapter 4: Swearing in BloodView OnlineThe Demonic AmnesiacChapter 4: Swearing in BloodA/N: This chapter contains gore. Quite a bit at some parts, read only if you want to. This chapter covers Rampage's and Squidlie's early lives After the whole Dagger deal with Rainbow Dash, Rampage had gone back to Twilight’s and stayed locked up in his room, pacing back and forth. How did it get to this? He had such a peaceful life before his parents died; and he and his brother were left alone. Their home in the wild had been torched by a group of 2 ponies, whom Rampage had no idea who they were. Their parents, Diamond Shell and Aquamarine, both unicorns, had died in the attack. Diamond died while fighting one of the ponies, and the only thing Rampage could remember was the sword. The wicked sword, different from any other that he had ever seen. It was almost as if it was evil itself, not the wielder, but the sword. Without warning, the flashback hit him hard, bringing him back to the time when everything went to hell for him. ------Rampage’s memory of the whole ordeal------ Rampage and Squidlie, both young colts at the time, were sitting spacey room with a fireplace blazing, couches at every wall. Squidlie had a bowl of water in front of him, and was practicing his hydrokinesis, controlling water, which he got from his mother, who was also able to control water very expertly. Squidlie was able to get it to move and create a miniature waterspout, a tornado made of water by focusing for a minute. Aquamarine smiled in approval. “You’ve advanced very far in a very short time, Squidlie” she said with a warming smile. “How does Squidlie learn so fast…?” Rampage thought as he watched on.The only thing he could do with his crystallokinesis was cover small parts of his body with rubies, a fairly weak gem. Rampage focused harder than he ever had, failed a few times, but after the fourth try, found he could cover his front two legs for the first time. He shouted with glee and ran to his dad, who was in his forge. “Dad! Dad! Look what I did!” Rampage said waving his legs in Diamond’s face. Rampage’s dad turned away from his blacksmith’s fire to look. His face didn’t change emotions, but his eyes were shining with admiration and pride. He spoke in a gruff voice; “Good job, that’s my boy!” He said laughing; a deep, booming sound. Rampage laughed a childish laugh, and ran around showing his whole family. While he was doing so, he knocked over Squidlie’s bowl that he was practicing with, but Aqua was fast enough to catch the water before it hit the ground with her magic, and put it back in. Rampage smiled sheepishly. “Sorry, Squidlie” Rampage said Squidlie looked at him and spoke softly; “It’s fine, try not to do it again”. Aqua realized it was getting dark. “It’s time to go to bed, it’s getting late.” She hurried her colts up to their room despite all the complaining, and tucked them both in. They weren’t going to go to sleep without some coaxing. “Hush now, quiet now, it’s time to go to bed” She sang softly, though the roar of the forge’s fire was audible through the floor. After a few minutes, both Squidlie and Rampage were asleep. Aqua crept downstairs to go meet Diamond. She walked into the forge and tapped on his shoulder. Diamond turned around, and a true smile crept onto his face, which was a rare sight. “Hey Aqua, are the colts asleep?” He asked, hugging her. “Yes, it took a bit of singing, but they’re asleep.” She said, laughing a little. ********************20 minutes earlier******************* The wind whistled through my mane as i flew over the tress to my final destination, heart pounding as i passed endless fields of lush forest canopy, relishing what will come to pass. As i was closing in on my destination, i couldn't resist wondering why the master chose US for something as important as this. Sure our “skills” were well known, but never would i believe that THE master would entrust us with something THIS vital... But while pondering this i realized that my destination was finally approaching, a small house in the middle of a beautiful glade, and all thoughts left my mind as a wild excitement took over my very being as i started to make my way for the forest canopy, fantasizing about the wonderful moment when i could unleash pain upon my target. I saw my partner down below me, lounging against a tree trunk, patiently waiting. I smirked; this pony was cocky, too cocky for his own good. He looked up at me lazily, acting as if I was the one holding him back. I pointed a hoof at the adorable house in the glen, and he nodded. He knew what I was saying. He trotted up to the door. ------back to 3rd person Diamond------------- While they were talking, Diamond heard a banging on the front door. “Be right back” he said, trotting towards the door. He opened it, and found a stallion with pure white hair, and green draconic looking eyes. He spoke with a cunning intelligence, filled with deceit and menace; “Are you Diamond Shell?” the mystery stallion said with false friendliness. “…” Diamond refused to answer and shut the door, sensing the stallion’s menacing aura. Diamond started yelling directions at Aqua; he knew he didn’t have much time. “Aqua! Get the kids out of here! No questions, just hurry!” Aqua hurried upstairs. When she was halfway up the stairs, she heard the door being broken down. She ran up to Rampage’s and Squidlie’s room and broke down the door. She then grabbed the colts with her magic, opened their bedroom window, and set them down outside. Rampage and Squidlie both opened their eyes, still groggy from sleep, and realized they were outside. They looked up, confused when they heard their mother calling from above, telling them to run. Squidlie was the first to recover, and he knew the situation was serious. He grabbed Rampage and started dragging him into the safety of the woods. Rampage gasped when he saw his dad standing off with a strange pony near the front door. Diamond was squaring off against the stallion that kicked down the door, which had pulled out a sword. Diamond conjured diamonds around his entire body, excluding his forelegs and head. The mysterious stallion realized Diamond was living up to his name. “So you live up to the legends, the only unicorn that can do crystallokinesis” The stallion said to Diamond. Diamond replied in a harsh tone; “Don’t come in my house, don’t threaten me, this won’t turn out how you want it to.” The pure white maned stallion replied; “Let’s find out” he said rushing Diamond, slashing in all directions. Diamond moved his hooves parallel to the stallion’s strikes, deflecting each strike. He threw a jab-cross-uppercut combo at lightning speed, but the stallion dodged and slashed at Diamonds unprotected head. Diamond deflected the blade, and rolled outside. His enemy jumped out the door, slashing downwards. Diamond rolled to the side and counterattacked, bucking to the side. He struck his enemy in his ribs, breaking them. The white maned stallion cursed and attacked again, rushing diamond from the front. “What a fool” Diamond said, bucking towards the stallion. It was a grave mistake; his enemy sidestepped and sent his sword through Diamonds left front leg, cutting tendons and muscles, sending blood everywhere. Aqua heard the sounds of gem against steel, and ran to a window overlooking where Diamond and the attacker were. She screamed at the macabre site she witnessed; her husband being chopped like an animal at a butcher’s. “NO! STOP! WHAT THE ABSOLUTE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?” ************************1st person enemy********************* The plan was set, all the preparations were made. My partner was keeping Diamond busy, and I had to admit; I don’t know if I could stand up to Diamond. He was strong, insanely so. He moved with the experience of an assassin, with years of practice. I distracted myself long enough to see a mare stick her head out of a window and scream at my partner. Pondering my options, I shrugged. Why the hell not? I can have my own fun, can’t I? I darted from my hiding place faster than a griffin on crack, I landed on the windowsill, staring down the mare with my blood red eyes. She backed down in fear. “My, oh my, what do we have here?” I said, eyeing her flank. Her cutie mark was a waterfall. ‘great, just great. This mare can control water. Those ones are always so annoying’ I brought a hoof up and smacked her across the face. I didn’t need a weapon. I had hooves, and a intent to kill. I started to beat her against the wall, breaking bones and skin. I put my hooves on her horn. “This looks important” I said sadistically, snapping her horn off. She let one shriek escape her lips, which caught the attention of the colts hiding in the forest, and of her husband outside before I stopped it by slamming her head against the wall. Diamond had mostly been dodging on only 3 legs, the one that was cut off leaving a bloody trail. When he heard his wife shriek though, he turned his towards the window out of sheer fear. “YOU TOUCH HER AND YOU DI-” was all he got out before his attacker slid his sword through diamond’s forelegs, ripping muscles out and sending bone marrow and blood everywhere. Diamond fell forward, his forelegs mere bloody stumps. Diamond’s attacker then started dragging the sword along his back, which was now unprotected due to the injury he just sustained. Tendons ripped, muscles were snapped, blood sprayed up at Diamond’s enemy. Diamond was now pleading for him to stop. His attacker laughed, and shouted up at the window; “Finish with her! I’m done with him” He said ripping out Diamond’s heart, sending blood everywhere. I looked out the window. “Shut the fuck up! I’ll do what I want!” I took her broken horn and turned it around in my hooves. It was sharp, obsidian sharp. I was tiring of this game anyways. I raised the horn in my hooves, and slashed across her flank, drawing blood. She was out cold, so my fun ended here. I trotted to towards the window. Before I left, I threw the horn at her lifeless body. It skewered her right through the eye, sending blood everywhere in the room. I laughed with sadistic pleasure, and flew out to meet my partner again. “Fuck you man, I broke some ribs. You could’ve at least helped” my partner said through gritted teeth. He was obviously surprised he took some damage. “You knew Diamond’s reputation, and you said you wanted to take him alone, so I let you” I said, shrugging. **************To the view of the colts************* Rampage and Squidlie had watched everything from the outskirts of the glen, hidden by the cover of the woods and the dark of dusk. Through the dark they could see their dad, covered in gems fighting his attacker. They saw their dad gain the upper hand, but fall at the hands of his attacker. They saw a pegasus go to their mom. They had to assume she was dead, and through their tears, they knew they had to leave. To where? Neither of them had any idea. Rampage’s mind was filled with hatred for the cream colored stallion that killed his dad. Those green Draconic eyes would never leave his memory. He looked back at his house once more and spoke softly; “I will carry your gift father, and I will see to it that I teach others. You will be avenged” he said, with a bit of cliché. A/N: I realized i haven’t explained the shipping or either of them arriving in PonyVille. This chapter was a HUGE pain in the ass to complete, and there shall be a part 2 of this flashback. Expect it soon.
Chapter 5: A life reflected onView OnlineThe Demonic AmnesiacChapter 5: A life reflected onOnly 12 hours had passed since their house was attacked and their parents killed, but Rampage and Squidlie thought it felt like years. Rampage and his brother had been wandering around the woods, looking for a way out. After 12 hours of wandering with no rest, water, or food, the colts collapsed. Rampage’s vision was fuzzy, but he thought he could see water, and was that…no, it couldn’t be. He brushed the thought aside and wandered to the fountain he saw, unknowingly exiting the forest and going into a dark field. He exited the forest into a field, and stumbled towards the fountain. Squidlie saw his brother…could it be called trotting? No, more like tripping mixed with stumbling, and he got up and slowly traversed the suddenly wavy ground, following his brother as best he could. Rampage made his way to the fountain, completely unaware that there were buildings around. He plunged his head into the fountain, his thirst deprived brain taking over. It felt good; and he drank until he felt like the sheer pressure was going to make his stomach explode. He smelled something truly tantalizing, he turned around to see a house that looked more like a dessert than a house. He was unwittingly leaving his brother behind; without even knowing it as he walked towards the door. He again stumbled towards the door, famished. He could eat a horse-quite literally. Anything he could get his hooves on. “I need to eat something, anything, ANYTHING” Rampage thought, fumbling with the handle on the door. He mind was hazy, corrupted with the thoughts of food. He stumbled into a room and felt around for a light switch. He hit it, and covered his eyes to the light. When he managed to open his eyes, he was met with a wonderful sight. Cupcakes lined the shelves in a glass container, displayed to be sold to ponies. Rampage didn’t have any money, and sure as hell wasn’t going to ask to eat these. He walked right to the display case and raised his hoof. ‘Food….Food….food…’ he thought, bringing his hoof down upon the glass container. The shatter that followed was ten times louder than Rampage had expected, and it broke him out of his craving. He looked around, scared. He heard hooves coming down the stairs, and he lunged for the light switch. The room was flooded in darkness once again. “Is anypony there?” A bubbly voice called out. Rampage kept his mouth shut. This pony could be an enemy; he WAS in an unknown town, after all. The lights came on and he was staring at a bright pink pony. He was smaller than she; he was just a colt, after all. “Who are you? Are you a new pony?” She said, bouncing up and down. Rampage was dumbfounded. This mare had just found a random colt in her store, and she was trying to get to know him? “Where am I?” Rampage asked in a whiny colt voice. He was tired and hungry, he wanted food. He still didn’t take note of his brother’s absence. “Why, you’re in Ponyville!” The pink mare said smiling, apparently unaware nopony should have that much energy when it’s this dark out. He didn’t want to stick around her; yet he felt she was nice, truthful. Rampage couldn’t take it. He started to cry, which made the pink mare turn from happy to concerned. “Are you ok? What’s wrong?” She said, with a sad expression. “I don’t have a place to stay, and I don’t have any parents” He said through his tears. He didn’t want to break up in front of her, but the stress of everything was a great weight on his shoulders. He felt like he was being needlessly melodramatic, telling all this to a stranger. It’s not like he had a choice….right? He had to find somewhere to stay; he couldn’t keep wandering like a nomad. He failed to notice the pink mare hugging him as he cried, her mane deflated. He was swamped in depression; he wanted his parents, his house. He wanted them back. He sobbed, his face against the pink mare, who cooed and ran her hoof around his back, trying to soothe him. After a while, he calmed down enough to speak complete sentences, even if they were shaky. “Thank you, It means a lot to me. But I need to find a place to stay” he said, his voice cracking. His heart ached; he missed his parents, and he knew it. The pink mare smiled, her mane inflated back to its usual bounciness. “You silly foal, you cried for so long, the sun came up!” Rampage looked outside and noticed the sun was indeed coming up. ‘Wait….where’s Squidlie? No matter, he’ll find his way around. If I don’t see him in a few days, I’ll ask a Pegasus to help me look. He cant have wandered far’ “Thank you, ma’am, but I must be going” He switched on gentlecolt mode. His mother taught him to always be polite, even in dire circumstances. “Don’t be silly! Call me Pinkie Pie!” she said hyperactively, bouncing around. "Once we find you a place to stay, we’ll throw you a party!” Rampage was dumbstruck by the sheer kindness of this mare. She had a stranger break into her shop, and she offered to throw him a party? What kind of black magic was this? “No, no. It’s okay; you don’t need to go out of your way.” Rampage spoke with disbelief. “Don’t be silly! I throw everypony parties!” She said, smiling. Rampage didn’t want to ruin the mares smile, so he accepted hesitantly. “Fine, fine. Where am I going to live Pinkie? Where can I go?” He said, whining creeping into his voice. “I’m sure Twilight’ll have some room!” she said cheerfully, making Rampage smile. Maybe he should think more optimistically. “Twilight?” He asked. He had heard the name before, his mom had mentioned it. She had said a pony by the name of Twilight Sparkle gave her books on hydrokinesis, which had helped her gain full control of water. He decided to ask if it was the same Twilight she talked about. “Is her name Twilight sparkle?” Rampage spoke with caution, as he still didn’t know if this pink mare was friendly. “Of course! There aren’t any other Twilights, silly!” Pinkie said, bouncing around. ‘Maybe she can teach me too….’ Rampage thought. Maybe he should play along. Little did he know though, he was a dead ringer for his father. He looked exactly like him, except his eyes; which were a crystal blue. He knew his father, Diamond Shell, lived in Ponyville at one point, but he didn’t know his reputation. “Lets get going!” Pinkie said, bouncing towards the door. Rampage just sighed and followed. **************************Squidlies POV******************** I had stumbled like a drunkard, trying to find my brother. I was pissed that he wouldn’t wait for me. I had managed to find my way to a group of animals by dawn, who led me to a rather plain looking house on top of a hill. I was famished. Frickin. Famished. I hadn’t eaten in 24 hours or more. I didn’t have a sense of time right now. I was too busy crying about the event that had happened oh so recently. ‘I saw my parents drop in front of my eyes, dead. I had seen my dad go into a fight with an unknown enemy’ were the thoughts running through my head. I was interrupted by a yellow mare with a pink mane opening the door. My hunger was killing me. “Please…food…” Was all I got out before I collapsed. ***********************Rampage 3rd person********************* Rampage had went through ponyville, and saw everything and everypony. Pinkie had literally taken HOURS before she finally led him to his final destination. Pinkie walked up to the huge house and knocked on the door. “Twilight! I have a pony here to see you!” She called in, waiting for somepony to answer. The door opened, and a small dragon appeared. Rampage wasn’t much bigger than the dragon at the time, and he remembered all he had read on dragons. ‘Dragons eat gems….’he thought panicked. His panic went away as soon as the dragon spoke. “Hey Pinkie, Twilight’s not around at the moment, what’d you need?” He asked innocently. Neither Pinkie nor the dragon saw Rampage shivering. Rampage feared dragons. His only means of offense and defense were dragon food, quite literally. “This colt doesn’t have a home, and I thought you’d be the best choice spike!” Pinkie said cheerfully. Spiked looked at Rampage and waved him in. Rampage was still skeptical, but right before he walked in, he heard another voice. “Hey Spike, hey Pinkie Pie!” Rampage looked at where the voice was coming from. He saw a purple unicorn trotting towards them, carrying a ton of books. He wondered if this could be Twilight Sparkle. He needed to find a time to speak to her. Alone. "Hi twilight!" Pinkie said, happy to see her friend again. 'sweet mother of Celestia, is this pony friends with every pony?' Rampage thought, astounded. He had lived in a pretty isolated area for his whole life. The only ponies he really ever saw we're his parents and his brother. His mom...he didn't know what she did for work, hbut she fed them. His dad made weapons. For whom, Rampage had no idea, yet he knew a Griffin would always pick them up. Rampage snapped back to reality in time to greet Twilight. "Hello Twilight, my name's Subtle Rampage, son of Diamond Shell and Aquamarine" he said, sticking a hoof out The reaction he got was surprising to say the least. Twilight's jaw would've hit the floor if her bones would've allowed it. What did allow something to hit the floor though, was her magic. She lost hold of the books and they tumbled to the ground. "You're Aqua's son? How is she doing?!?" she said, quite taken aback by this fact. She started picking the books back up with her magic. She hadn't seen Aqua in forever, but remembered her well. The mare was quite studious, taking care in her studious to further her control of water. She had studied for hours with Twilight, and came back every day to read and practice more. Aqua wasn't a typical unicorn. She was a unicorn that had magic in only one area. She was the same as Diamond in that respect. Twilight found it funny to study with the sea-blue mare. She was funny, kind, and intelligent. She would always move forwards, no matter the cost. Her tenacity was awe-inspiring. Rampage was shaking, trying to keep his voice emotionless, but it cracked despite his efforts. "she's...dead, killed by ponies who attacked our house and burned it down. My dad, he's dead too" Twilight felt her insides crumble. This colt went through that much at such a young age? She suddenly had extreme pity for him, but she knew he didn't want pity. "rampage...you should come in. Pinkie, if you could..." Pinkie got the message. "Okie dokie lokie!" she said, bouncing off. She didn't want to invade their privacy. "I'll throw Rampage the best party ever later!" Rampage walked in Twilight's house, following the purple mare into her house. He sat down on a couch across from her, and suddenly became shy. "Rampage, tell me what happened" Twilight said, with some persuasion. Rampage took a deep breath, and retold the whole event in immense detail. How could he not? That event happened only a day ago, and it would be burned into his mind for a very, VERY long period of time. After he retold her everything, he found he could keep his emotions in. Even Twilight was surprised at this. 'he's only a colt...yet he knows how to control himself' she thought, knowing she'd have to put that in her report to Princess Celestia. What she was interested in though, was the emotional stability of Rampage. Anypony would be shaken after an experience like that. "Rampage, let's get you set up." Twilight starting trotting upstairs. Rampage was grateful she let the subject drop, any long talking about his parents deaths and he might've broken down. He followed her and she got him set up in a guest room, not far from her own. ------A few months later---- Rampage was helping organize books in Twilight's library, which was frickin' massive. "Where does she get all these books?" Rampage thought to himself. He still had stacks to go. He sighed and kept working. His brother had found him walking with Twilight a few days after they separated. After a very tearful, bromance-like reunion, Squidlie told Rampage that he was staying at Fluttershy's, after she had found out he was great with animals, she basically begged him to stay. Squidlie was more than happy to. Rampage had been reluctant to let him continue to stay at Fluttershy's. He was his brother, after all. He needed to keep an eye on him. Squidlie got along fine with Fluttershy, and eventually they grew into colt friend and mare friend. Rampage didn't even notice this until much later. Rampage and Squidlie got together often despite them both helping the mares they lived with. They often talked about the even with their parents, and often ended up sparring to build reflexes and strength. All of this to be able to get revenge if the opportunity arises. They both advanced their magic, and Rampage felt the best way to do that for him was through sparring. Rampage had finally told Twilight about his power. At first, she didn't believe him. She hadn't ever heard of a pony with that power. Then he had showed her, and she finally believed him. She had to keep spike from eating the colt when he saw all the gems on Rampage. She had told Celestia about it in her report, and Celestia told Twilight to make sure nopony found out; for if they did, their enemies may try to take Rampage. So Rampage practiced in secret, making sure nopony found out about his power. He had made friends with a few ponies, but a majority of the ones he met disliked him greatly. On the exterior, he seemed like a cocky, ignorant young stallion. When anypony got to know him well, and only a few did, they found how he really was; emotional, caring, and understanding. He wasn't as tough emotionally as he let on. One of the ponies that hated him the most was Rarity. She couldn't stand Rampage, and constantly let Twilight know about how rude the "young hoodlum" was when hanging around with his brother or Spike. Fluttershy wouldn't tell Twilight, but she found Rampage loud and annoying. He didn't work well with most animals because of his loudness. AppleJack was one of the few poniesRampage hadn't talked to much. He found her annoying, as dumb as that sounded. The way she talked rubbed off wrong on him. He had talked to her brother, Big Mac, a lot. Rampage had never really had a full conversation with him, but tried to talk to him ever time he saw him. Rampage felt like he wanted to spar Big Mac, a stallion who was so much bigger and stronger than himself. Big Mac always refused with a simple "nope" and trotted on to buck more apples. Rampage found this irritating as he had no idea why he wouldnt spar him. Once he had established friends, his life became routine. Study his power with Twilight, practice it, hang with his brother, eat, spar, repeat. This went on for about 5 years, and then his life suddenly went sideways. A/N: I realize this is an abrupt cutoff, but do you really want me to take 12k words to explain 5 years of living in Ponyville? Nah brah, so just read it and enjoy the chapter. I promise the next one will be more eventful, i promise
Chapter 7: Preperations are MadeView OnlineThe Demonic AmnesiacChapter 7: Preperations are MadeRampage had been passed out for hours after the flashback. He was awoken by a knocking on his door, which turned out to be Twilight. “Rampage! Rainbow Dash is here to see you!” The purple mare called into the room through the door. She hadn’t seen Rampage out of his room in hours. She heard a grumble and the door opened, revealing a somehow…different Rampage. ‘He seems more…serious, less playful. That’s not like him’ Twilight thought, but decided not to question her pupil. He could handle his own problems, Twilight had faith in him. “Rainbow Dash is downstairs, Rampage” She wished for nothing more than for him to get out and let all his problems go. “I’m going, I’m going” He grumbled, trotting down the stairs to the doorway, where the cyan mare was waiting. “Hey RD” Rampage wanted to hide his emotions, so he put on his mask of happiness. He wanted to keep his emotions in, didn’t want to show them to anypony. “H-hey” She squeaked, and then started over quickly, hoping he hadn’t heard her. “Hey Rampage, wanna go for a walk?” She asked indifferently Rampage shrugged, then grinned and started trotting outside “I’m not going to wait for you RD” He called back. She rolled her eyes and took off after him. She yelled “I’m the fastest flier in Equestria! You can’t beat me!” But in her mind, she thought hard and deep; ‘How will I ask him….?’ ---------Back to Dark’s group--------- Dark turned around after they were far enough from Dagger’s hiding place. The dew was on the grass all around them, the air was humid, and it smelled like sweat. He turned around and addressed a cream coated mare with a pure white mane and dragon-like eyes. The stallion had a Guy Fawkes mask for a cutie mark. “Kadaj, which pony do you want? Devious gets the cyan one, Rainbow Dash” Dark asked with a little bit of worry. Kadaj was the most bloodthirsty of the group, not a pony to be messed with. If anypony got in the way of his target…may Shade help them. “If I had to choose one, Dark, I’d choose….the pink one” The cream colored stallion said quietly. His blade was itching for blood. It hadn’t stopped vibrating since his best battle in a decade, one with a stallion that was hardened from years of manual labor. He had moved unusually fast for a stallion his size. Kadaj got shivers just thinking about it. He hadn’t had any fun since then. Royal guards? Too easy. Dark saw Kadaj get into what was coming up, and addressed a purple and red mare. “Devious, you get Rainbow Dash, take her place. Make sure none of the other 6 know” Devious just smiled, then morphed into a perfect copy of Rainbow Dash. Devious was technically a changeling, but she had complete control over what she looked like. She had made her mare form her permanent form. She looked, smelled, and sounded like a normal mare. Dark then turned to Spark, the blue and green stallion. He always seemed to smell like ozone, no matter where he was. He was one of the few pegasi that had some form of magic. Electricity hummed around him, creating a barrier of sorts. “Spark…you test Dagger, see if he’s ready to join us. All of you, wait for my signal to attack, we need to do this quickly and silently” Spark nodded. “Yes sir!” and took off. The rest followed. Dark stayed behind to think, and also to scout out their targets and give the signal. Dark figured he had time, so he sat down on the wet grass, surrounded by the hums of insects and the smell of dew. ‘ok, so I’ll take Apple Jack. That brother of hers….that’ll be a problem. He’s strong, very strong. Fast though? Probably not. I think I’ll burn down their farm though….yeah, yeah that’s it!’ Dark was shivering in pure ecstasy of the thought of burning all that wood, food, and shelter. He was a pyromaniac, and he knew it. He loved flame, and his Master had gifted him with the power to control flames to an extent. He didn’t have full control as he was just a Pegasi, not a unicorn. He made a fuse of slow burning wood, and led it to a pile of vines. When the vines would ignite, it’d send a flame column 20 feet high, and a smoke pillar so much higher. He wanted to smell the acrid smoke, feel the pain and burn, the blisters form. He wanted to see bodies in the flames, charring to a jet black, sending up a stench so bad, it was almost heavenly to Dark. “Fuck, I got too caught up in my thoughts. I need to move, Dagger’s going to complete Master’s objective too. We can’t let him beat us to them. I will get revenge for when he humiliated me.” Dark got so angry that his hair caught on fire, turned to flames, white hot. He realized this, and he calmed down, when he did the flames went away. His anger made his power run amok, which was never a good thing. Dark shook his head, and started trotting through the morning air to Sweet Apple Acres.
Chapter 3: Rainbow Dash's DilemmaView OnlineThe Demonic AmnesiacChapter 3: Rainbow Dash's DilemmaAuthor's notes: I kinda was feeling a bit fucked up when writing this, excuse me if it's worse than normal, and normal is pretty bad still. Squidlie walked in the room, he saw something he wished he didn’t want to see; a white colt, wearing a black vest, who had his hair short and spiked, and had a bull’s skull as his cutie mark, sprawled on top of Dagger. “Rampage…what are you doing here?” Squidlie asked, incredulous. “AW! CMON BRAH! Fuck you Squidlie, I thought you’d be happy” Rampage huffed, getting up. He had accidentally teleported right onto the wounded stallion. He was a completely different colt than the uptight one at Twilight’s. Rampage was happy to get out of the library; he enjoyed Spike’s and Twilight’s company, but even he had to get out seeing his family once in a while. Squidlie facehoofed. “Rampage, I will ask only once more. Why are you here?” Rampage started to talk but was interrupted by a shockwave that hit him through the doorway, which was on the other side of the room. “What the fu-“he was interrupted again by a mare with a light blue body and a rainbow colored mane, who galloped into the room. Rampage was now irritated. “GOD DAMMIT DASH I WAS TALKI-“Rainbow slapped him across the face. “BITCH, PLOX” She yelled. “I WAS TALKING! WHERE IS THE MOFO?” Fluttershy walked in. “p-please don’t yell, you’re scaring the a-animals” Squidlie put a front leg around Fluttershy. “It’ll be ok, shy” Squidlie said, giving her a quick peck on the cheek. Fluttershy instantly brightened up. Then she realized something…. “U-um guys? Where’s D-dagger?” All of the ponies stared at the now empty bed. They screamed in unison, “WHAT?!?!?!?!!” Rainbow Dash started to shake, getting scared, and boiling over with anger. “He…he’ll kill somebody. That pony is a murderer!” She dashed out the door and took flight. Rampage decided he needed to go too. “Wait RD!” he started to run after her, leaving Squidlie and Fluttershy alone. Fluttershy looked at Squidlie with expectation and worry in her eyes. Squidlie got the message; he sighed, and looked back at her. “Shy, I’ll be back soon. Wait for me here” he removed his shades dramatically, revealing….another pair of shades. (Bucking’ killjoy) Squidlie ran after Rampage and Dash, leaving Fluttershy all alone, hoping for him to stay alive. She shed one tear that ran down her face and landed on the floor. It didn’t even make a splash. She wondered what it meant…. Rainbow Dash heard screaming behind her. “RD!” the voice kept calling. She facehoofed, as she would know that bitchy voice anywhere. “BUCK YOU RAMPAGE” she yelled down below. Rampage sighed, and just kept galloping. Something jet black streaked by him and he yelled “RD, I JUST SAW A BLACK LIGHT GO RIGHT BY ME!” She spun around, seeing it too. “YOU’RE MINE!” as she cut it off, and then tackled it. The only thing Rampage saw was a ball of blue and black roll about 20 meters and then skid to a stop. Dagger got up and looked directly at Rampage with his blood red eyes, while standing on the fallen Rainbow Dash. A un-pony like noise came out of the black alicorn’s mouth; *Hisssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss* Rampage stood completely still, overridden with fear. He tried to move, tried to do anything. He couldn’t move, no matter how hard I tried. He was starting to sweat profusely as the black alicorn started stalking towards him, like a predator approaching fallen prey. Without warning, he rushed, and Rampage discovered yet again that he was frozen in place. He was still desperately trying to move, had managed to step to the side, and had run forward right into the broken wing of the alicorn. *shriiiiipppppppppppppp* Despite Rampage’s efforts to keep moving, running into the side of the alicorn caused serious damage to him, leaving a few broken ribs. Rampage looked back at the alicorn, whose wing was lying by his side now. “Fuck”, He said as he spat at the now one-winged Dagger (Lol sephiroth reference). Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Rainbow Dash start to get back up, and he taunted the alicorn to give her time to support me. “You done already? I haven’t even started!” He rushed Dagger, throwing a hoof at his chin. The alicorn looked at Rampage with disdain as he dodged with almost no effort whatsoever. Rainbow Dash rushed Dagger from behind, finally recovered enough to move freely. *ping!* The alicorn disappeared before Dash could get to him, leaving one of its two wings behind. Rainbow Dash looked at Rampage incredulously. “How did you stand up to him?” She asked with a bit of amazement. Rampage shrugged. “Tell you the truth, I didn’t. I just stalled him, so you could get up and help”, as he cracked a routine arrogant smile. Rainbow Dash huffed, and slapped Rampage again. At this point, the side of his face was a very bright red. “Don’t you ever do that again! He was mine!” She portrayed her anger in this way, and it was better to let her vent “Bitch needs to shut up”, Rampage mumbled and walked away, smack right into his brother. “Heyyyyyyy, Rampage. What did I miss?” Squidlie said all too smug, which made Rampage want to throw him around till his bones broke. “Did he seriously purposely not get involved? What the buck?” Rampage was pissed. He collected himself, and softly spoke, “Nothing Squidlie…nothing at all” and punched him in the mouth, then teleported with another, *ping* Squidlie was left alone with a very dumbfounded mare, which he decided to strike up a conversation with. He didn’t really know Rainbow Dash all that much but Fluttershy was her friend, so why shouldn’t he be? Squidlie shrugged and attempted futilely. “So, Rainbow Dash, care to fill me in?” He was being overly cautious with his asking, but he didn’t care and wouldn’t ever care; as it’s better to be safe than sorry. “Your brother stole my fucking prey!” Rainbow yelled, in an uproar. “That alicorn was mine! All that’s left of him now is this!” she held up a wing. Squidlie’s jaw hit the floor. The blood soaked wing brought fear to him. How could his brother do this? That was beside the point. When Rainbow Dash spoke, he heard a tinge of something else…admiration? Jealousy? Squidlie knew he had to find out; it seemed like a fun thing to do after a crappy day of being interrupted when he was with Fluttershy. “Hey RD, did I hear …jealousy inside your voice there” Squidlie teased, having way too much fun with this. RD turned a bright red, which stood out against her light blue coat. “N-no! What are you talking about!?”, she got in his face, proving his suspicions. “You know you’re jealous that he showed you up. My brother may be hardheaded, but that white coated bastard is skilled in three things; fighting, magic, and taunting. Has my brother perhaps…caught your eye?” RD turned an even darker red and protested much against this claim. “Why would s-someone like HIM catch my eye? He’s an over arrogant prick! I wouldn’t fall for someone like him!” “Me thinketh she protests much” Squidlie chuckled to himself. He was already with the mare of his dreams, Fluttershy. What did he care who, or what, Rampage caught the eye of? Obviously he didn’t. His brother WAS an over-arrogant prick, but he was his brother. He was a prick; yes, but he was a badass in the same sense, and he knew it. “Ok RD, I hear you. You didn’t fall for my brother. I’ll be leaving now. We have nothing to talk about” Squidlie started walking away but Rainbow Dash lunged at him holding him back. “Wait!” She seemed desperate to ask, so Squidlie decided to hear her out. “What is it now?” He asked in disbelief. It was Friday, so she decided just to ask Rampage’s brother the question, instead of Rampage himself. “Is Rampage…is he open this weekend?” Squidlie tried hard not to laugh. Rainbow Dash was a horrible liar. “Ask him yourself”, he said as he teleported, smirking back at her. Squidlie had all intentions of sabotaging the future relationship in the meanest way possible *ping!* Rainbowdash was fuming. How dare he leave without answering? She was no good with the stallions and colts…she decided to wing it (pun intended), and just ask Rampage about this weekend. She huffed and flew back up onto a cloud, and went to sleep, thinking about how she was going to deal with Dagger, who was probably dying, and more importantly, how she was going to approach Rampage tomorrow.
Chapter 6: Lost in a Pool of ThoughtsView OnlineThe Demonic AmnesiacChapter 6: Lost in a Pool of ThoughtsA/N: This was written BEFORE chapters 4 and 5, so excuse any mistakes in the story line. thank you “I can’t believe that little piece of bird shit.” Dagger said as he limped towards his cave he found near the outskirts of Ponyville. He trotted into the cave, and almost fell back due to a huge surprise. He saw a black stallion, covered with bright red scars, flaming red mane, and the kicker? THE SAME WINGS AS HIM! Slightly brighter, but the same size and shape. He hadn’t seen anybody with the same wings as him. His were…special, even if he only had one now. The mysterious Pegasus wore white bracelets on all 4 of his legs, and a black and red tail spiked straight out. He wore a lopsided grin and bright red goggles, covering his eyes and giving him an air of superiority. This feeling pissed Dagger off. He hated being looked down on, but….he remembered the stallion from somewhere….he couldn’t remember where though, and it irritated him. He didn’t like this stallion, but he felt attracted to him…like he wanted to serve him. Dagger hated this stallion. He lunged at the mysterious pony, but he wasn’t there anymore. He was right behind Dagger, and had his hooves on Dagger’s one good wing. “What happened to you Dagger? Did these weak overlanders shred you up? You fail your reputation as Morus Regis. Shame out ou…your family for generations!” The black pony said while putting more pressure on Dagger’s wing. Dagger resisted the urge to cry out. For some reason, he couldn’t use his necromancy or his geokinesis. “Who are you?” he gathered up the strength to ask. This black stallion was literally sucking the energy right out of him. The pony started laughing. “You’re worst frickin’ nightmare, Dagger” He said as he ripped Dagger’s wing clean off. *c-c-crackrriiiiiiiiiiPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP* Dagger couldn’t help it. He screamed, felt this humiliation a second time. Why wouldn’t anyone just kill him?? The black pony patched up Dagger’s wounds, and parted his hair, showing two short horns. “You’re one of us, Dagger. Accept it” He turned to leave, but looked back. “Dagger, you’ve lost your touch, regain your skills and return to us. By the way, my name’s Dark Glide, or Dominus Fatali, that’s how you knew me at least” he said as he arrogantly trotted out. Dagger’s mind automatically translated the phrase.” Master of Fate….seems like a fitting name for Darkglide, judging as I was powerless against him. Even my magic didn’t work, at all!”. He saw 3 shadows join Darkglide outside and heard a mingling of voices. A gruff one, a sly one, and the one that stood out the most was the fact that the last voice was a gentle voice of a mare. The other two he could tell were male. He heard the mare speak again; “Leave the weakling to die, Dark. If he survives, he’ll try and kill you” Dark shrugged. “I know, and I’m ready for him. We’ll start the extermination when he recovers enough to join us. He wasn’t worthy to be an alicorn, anyways. He got those wings from father, he wasn’t born with them, he was gifted and Father decided he deserved them”. The cunning voice the group sighed and spoke softly, “He’s not the same Dagger as I knew. Remember when he slaughtered all those Royal Guards? That was the most fun I’ve had in a long time”. Dark laughed, a harsh sound, metallic sounding even. “Didn't you have enough fun with the couple last time? Now back to the extermination subject. I got dibs on the pink one, she deserves to know the meaning of pain. I’ll shred her. I show her a fucking party”. He spat out the word party. “Her happiness will be turned into screams of pain when I get ahold of her. Spark Touch, Kadaj, Devious. Let’s go” He addressed the gruff sounding voice, the sly one, and the female in order. The group galloped off, laughing. Dark crawled to the entrance and found a flask with a liquid in it that looked like blood. The flask was in the place of the sly sounding pony. He took a drink cautiously, and his whole body felt renewed. “I’M HEALED! I’M COMING FOR YOU DARK!” he shouted into the night sky as he started to gallop after the group with the intention to slaughter the so called “Master of Fate”, along with all other ponies he came across. Dagger though of the ponies who were with Dark. SparkTouch….he remembered that name well. He didn’t know where….wait, he did! HE REMEMBERED SOMETHING! As his thoughts flashed back to whenever, he started to view the event again. --------flashback------- Dagger was looking over the shoulder of his past self, who was standing near a totally black colt with blue wings and a lightning yellow mane. His past self and this black colt, Spark Touch, were looking off into the distance. Dagger stopped looking at Spark and looked to where his past self and spark were looking. There was an army approaching, unicorns and pegasi, all who looked black and skeletal, with horns on the tops of their heads. Spark finally spoke in a rushed tone. “Dagger, you got us into this shitstorm, now get us the fuck out!!! IM NOT GOING BACK TO THAT HELLHOLE!” Dagger shook out of his daze from seeing the army. “SPARK LOOK OU-“ and that’s all he got out before Spark was hit in the head by a decently sized rock thrown by one of the enemies’ unicorn magic. He saw Spark drop to the ground, out cold. Dagger started to tremble with anger. His shadow, which was eerily growing bigger, suddenly picked up off the ground and stood in the air as a mass of black energy. The shadow had one eye, and even had a thing that was like a mouth, complete with razor sharp teeth. The opposing skeletal army stepped back in fear. “You…you harmed Spark, you tried to stop my exit, and you send a whole army after me. NIGHTSHADE YOU BASTARD!” Dagger screamed. He took flight and flew right at the army, the shadow following him. He started spinning when he reached the army, his now huge shadow wrapped around him and made spikes stick out of his body, so when he spun, he ripped the ponies in his way to shreds. “They may look like skeletons, but they have blood” Dagger thought as blood went everywhere from the shredded soldiers. Dagger looked back at the opposing army. He cut down about 20 of them with that one attack, but there still hundreds left. He willed his shadow to get off of him and rush the army, slicing through everything in its way. Dagger swore he even heard his shadow laughing as it morphed into a liquid wall of spikes, cutting down everything in its path. fight music The carnage continued as soldiers rushed Dagger. Dagger realized he had to fight hoof to hoof now. He called upon his magic to call up obsidian hooves, so when he wore them, he had more stopping power. As the guards rushed him from four sides, Dagger spun and hooked one in the jaw, sending him flying. “Next” Dagger said, consumed with complete anger. The next two guards rushed him, swords drawn, and Dagger rolled to the side and kicked one in the chin by bucking upwards, and downed the next guard by grabbing him with his wings and chucking him towards the rest of his army, as if they weren’t already busy enough with Daggers shadow; which was ripping them apart. Dagger’s shadow was having some fun of it’s own, ripping soldiers to pieces. It spun through, sending its spikey tendrils through unknowing ponies, sending blood everywhere. He cut through many bodies, the shadow lost count. Eventually the shadow got bored of the ground, so it took to the sky and attacked the pegasi, who were trying to retreat. The shadow ripped through their wings, making sure not to fatally injure them. It then moved with insane speed and opened its “mouth” and ate them. The shadow grew even bigger after eating them, and the shadow itself? It was thinking about how they tasted. Like rotting dead bodies. It decided never to eat another skeletal looking pony as long as its host (Dagger) was alive. Dagger was having some fun with the ponies that had decided to rush him. He took a moment to focus his magic, and a moment later a skeletal hoof reached out from below the ground. The hoof continued making a huge crevice in the ground until the skeletal pony could climb up. He was about twice the size of Dagger, and had two wicked hunting knives strapped to his sides, each one about a foot and a half long. The bone stallion took off towards the army of ghasts (fuck it I’m calling the black skeletal-yet-living ponies that Dagger is facing). Dagger saw that the bone stallion was having a grand ‘ol time hacking up ghasts with a knife in his mouth, whipping his head around and cutting them in half, through the jaw, cutting their legs off, etc. Meanwhile, Dagger found some ghasts that were injured and trying to crawl away. He saw that they had some wicked hunting knifes strapped to their sides, and he unclipped one from a fallen solider and eyed it with extreme interest. “This’ll do fine…yes…yes it will” He started slowly cutting the fallen ponies legs off, one by one. He used his magic to heal the wounds, but not stop the pain. The ghast that he just cut open started screaming, which was music to Dagger’s ears. “keep on screaming, little ghast. Make my day” He said with a chuckle. He proceeded to cut open the ghast’s gut, spilling his intestines all over. The blood that was spilled by the wounds Dagger had caused were immense, and Dagger was loving every minute of it. “See what happens when you fuck with me?” He whispered to the fallen ghast, playing with its intestines. Dagger was amused by the pain he was causing, but stabbed the ghast to make sure it didn’t pass out. “Oh no you don’t” Dagger used his magic to keep the Ghast’s eyes wide open, and unable to pass out. “My little guardian is over there, you’ve got nobody to help you” motioning to the skeletal stallion he conjured that was ripping all the ghasts apart. “See? Isn’t this just wonderful?” Dagger put emphasis on that last word. He started choking the ghast with its own intenstines, making its eyes roll back. Dagger just laughed playfully and looked at the cavity in the ghasts stomach. “What else can I do with this bag of tricks?” He said, eyeing the liver, stomach, and lungs. He put both his hooves on one of the ghasts lungs, and tugged experimentally. The ghast coughed up black blood. He was going to die of blood loss soon, but Dagger pulled and started pulling out the ghast’s organs. “Oh, what fun would that be?” Dagger asked himself. He got a crazy idea. He cut open the ghast’s throat, thread its intestines through it and brought it out its mouth, then tied the intestines in a knot. “YAY! A NEVERENDING LOOP!” Dagger shouted jumping up and down in happiness. He had the ghast’s blood everywhere on him. There were gallons everywhere. On his hooves, his stomach, it matted his mane. The skeletal stallion had killed all he could, as did Dagger’s shadow, which returned to its normal state as Dagger’s actual shadow. Dagger was so happy he went on a rampage, hacking every fallen body he saw, alive or not. Blood caused fountains as intestines and organs fell everywhere. “WHEEEEEEEEEEE!” Dagger yelled, obviously gone insane. He saw a body he didn’t cut up, one that was different from the others…..he approached it and- *ZAP* A lightning bolt hit him in the head when he tried to cut Spark’s fallen body. The bolt knocked him over, and Spark started to wake. “Mother of Shade…What the fuck happened?” he saw Dagger’s body next to him with the knife, and Spark decided this stallion was too much trouble. He rubbed his hooves together, creating more electricity and hit Dagger with it. Dagger’s body jumped and his eyes jolted open. “Where am I? W-who am i? w-who are you!?!??!” Dagger said, scared because he didn’t know who, what, or where he was. “Calm down, your name is Dagger, and you’re in the underground. Find yourself again through the fog in your brain, and you’ll understand who caused all of this” Spark said, walking away. Dagger lunged at him. “Help me! PLEASE!” Spark shook his head, then got a sinister idea. “Fine, come here. I’ll help you, this once” Dagger crawled over to him, and Spark stomped on his shadow and sent electricity through it. “Escape that son of a bitch known as your own shadow, your inner demon. And kill the six, that’ll help too” Spark laughed and flew away, and was soon joined by a purple mare with a red and black suit on, a cream colored stallion with a pure white mane and draconic eyes, and a black stallion with a flaming red mane, who his present self now reconized as DarkGlide. Dagger watched him fly away, then looked back as his shadow started running after him. Dagger started to fly away, but his wings were…”wait what? WHY ARE MY WINGS STUCK TOGETHER!?!?!” Dagger screamed. Spark had put static electricity on his wings and stuck them together. Spark chuckled as he heard the alicorn’s scream. He put enough electricity through his wings to keep them together for a few hours. Back on the ground, Dagger had to run instead of fly. He ran, and ran, and ran. Until the shadow caught him… -------back to reality------ Dagger gasped. The flashback hit him hard, it affected him. Why couldn’t he remember what the shadow did to him? The memories he just regained were huge. He now had an idea what that shadow was, and now that he thought about it…he had no shadow when he was outside. Why didn’t he notice? It didn’t matter anymore, he could now kill the 6, he knew who they were now. He had met 2 of them, which one to target first…? He couldn’t decide. He thought that rainbow-maned one would probably be the best bet. Dagger spoke softly to himself, “I need supplies, a weapon”. He used his power over rock to pull an obsidian sword from the ground. He strapped it to his side and started to walk back to where he had met that cyan mare. “Anypony who gets in my way, dies. Colt or filly, mare or stallion. They will die if they try and stop me” Dagger said as he trotted out of his cave to find his first victim.
