A Lone Rifleman in Equestria: Chapter 1
[3:00pm]
“Delta 39, this is command. Do you have eye’s on the target?”
“Command this is Delta 39, the target has just arrived at the checkpoint. I have no visual.”
“Copy Delta 39, when you see the target, you have permission to engage.”
“Affirmative command, Delta 39. Out”
While searching for the target, that’s protected by a heavily armored convoy, I notice that something didn’t feel quite right. Maybe the Koreans expected something, or I was somehow compromised by them picking up my signal to command when they radioed me.
That didn’t matter though, as I located my target through my high power scope on my rifle. I took aim at the target, the very person that was responsible for the deaths of his own people, and caused mass genocide behind the world's back. As I took aim, Kim Jong Un looked in my general direction with that smudged look on his face that I’ve seen many times in photographs. I aimed for his head, and pulled the trigger.
‘Direct hit’ I thought to myself, as his head seemingly explodes in millions of pieces, as blood and brains splatters on everything that’s near him. As expected, everyone begins to panic, and look for whoever took out their now dead ruler. I started to pack up my rifle as fast as I could, but I suppose I wasn’t fast enough. Considering a round nearly misses my head, gazing my dark green camo hat, followed by an onslaught of shouting and more rounds being fired at me.
I got up, and started running in the opposite direction. I could hear the outraged Koreans behind me, and their bullets nearly hitting me. Lucky for me however, it was that of the vegetated area that I was in that was shielding me from the oncoming bullets, thank you mother nature.
After a while of running, I lost the angered Koreans that were shooting/casing me in this forest. I hid myself in some bushes, while calling in command for a exac.
*Paint* “Command.. This is Delta 39..” *paint* “Target is KIA..” *paint* “Requesting evac.. Enemy is in hot pursuit”
“Delta 39 this is Command, we copy. Sending evac now. Good work Wolf. Command out.”
A few seconds after command hanged up, I received some coordinates to a LZ on my GPS. I looked out from my hiding spot to see if anyone was around, nobody was, but I knew that I had to stay on my toes, if I wanted to get out of here in one piece. I creeped out from the bush that I was hiding in, and cautiously made my way to the LZ. After a few minutes of sneaking around in the dense bush. I made my way to a clearing, where the LZ was marked.
“Command this is Delta 39, I made it to the LZ, where’s my ticket out of here?”
“Copy Delta 39, we’re sending in the chopper, hang tight.”
“Just hurry up, alright?”
“Copy.”
After what felt like an eternity of waiting, I saw the evacuation chopper head to the LZ. I could see that it was as high as possible to avoid enemy detection from ground troops that were searching for me, but also keep at a low attitude to make a quick decedent to pick me up. As the chopper was getting closer, I hear a couple of footsteps and chatter from what I assume are enemy troops closing in.
Sure enough, a couple of Korean scouts emerged from the bushes and looked around while talking. I knew if I didn’t do something, they would see the chopper and alert everyone else that were hunting me down. I took aim at them from a dug out that I found and took cover in, while waiting for my ride home. I took aim at the first scout, that was away from his three other soldiers, must have been a loner like myself, I squeezed on the trigger of my rifle, ready to fire, when all of a sudden one of the scouts started to shout. I looked over to him via my scope to see that he and his partners were aiming at the sky, firing at the evac chopper.
“Delta 39, this is evac. We’re taking fire from enemy troops, and have a visual on reinforcements closing in, you better move your ass if you want a ride out here!” shouted the pilot as he maneuvered his chopper to avoid enemy gunfire.
“Copy that, drop down and provide covering fire if possible.”
I didn’t hear the pilot's response, because as soon as I stopped giving my own set of orders, I hauled ass to the now descending chopper, lucky for me that those scouts from before took cover and gave me a chance to make a break for it. As I approached the half descended chopper, I pulled out my M1911and shot into the bushes to keep the enemy at a distance, or to take out any enemy scouts if my shots were lucky enough to make contact.
It wasn’t long before the evac chopper touched down behind me and a gunner behind a mounted machine gun started to provide covering fire for me like I ordered. I quickly got onto the chopper, and it immediately lifted off, catching me off guard a bit while trying to take a seat in one of the seats that the chopper has. I sat down and took a quick breath, I could hear the clicking and banging of metal being hit by bullets as we flew off, but I was relieved that those bullets were hitting the metal chopper and not my bare flesh. I looked over to the gunner that was now looking at me with relief and a sense of pride.
“Good work out there Wolf, mission complete.” He congratulated me while giving me a pat on the shoulder.
“We’re not out of the woods yet corporal, we’ll throw a party if we get out of here in one piece.”
I said to him while giving a slight chuckle. His prideful/happy look was whipped off his face when I said that, but I knew that there was a chance that we could get shot down at any given moment.
“Hey kid, have faith in our pilot, he was trained to avoid that kind of stuff, and our chopper has flares that could throw off missiles”
I said to the corporal, trying to give him hope, while at the same time putting pressure on the pilot to get us out of here in one piece by putting him on the spot. It seemed to work, as the corporal gave me a reassuring look and a nod to my point. However, a red flash began to appear on the pilot's console, followed by a beeping sound.
“Missiles closing in! Hang on you two!”
The pilot shouted, before jerking the helicopter hard to the right, nearly taking me out of my seat. The chopper then began to shift to the left, nearly taking the corporal out of his seat. In a quick instance, I could see through one of the helicopters windows that an enemy chopper was hot on our tails. Time seemed to slow down, as the enemy chopper fired another missile at us. I watched at it got closer, and before I knew it, I was thrown from my seat from an explosion, followed by the chopper spinning out of controllable, it was clear that we were hit. As the whole world spun, I could hear the pilot shouting in his headset.
“MAYDAY! MAYDAY!! THIS IS EVAC CHOPPER ALPHA 9! WE’RE HIT AND GOING DOWN!!”
With the heavy breathing/panic of the gunner that was with me. I strapped myself into a seat, and quietly prayed. I was never a true believer, but people tend to pray for a miracle in situations that they’re most likely gonna be killed in. I only hope that either I’m spared, or I’m given a painless/quick death. I opened my eyes after finishing my quick prayer, and made my quick glance around at the chaotic scene.
That however was interrupted by a thunderous crash of metal bending/twisting/breaking, and everything around me seemingly being annihilated in a heap of debris. As everything seemed to be happening so quickly, a piece of metal hit me in the head, and I blacked out. So much for a painless death.

A Lone Rifleman in Equestria: Chapter 2
[The Everfree Forest]
“What the hell happened?” I thought to myself while regaining consciousness.
I slowly opened my eyes to be greeted by a blinding light, I flinched while rubbing my eyes from my now tingling hands. When my vision came back to normal, I could see that the blinding light was from the sun. I slowly got up, feeling the cracks in my joints and bones as I got up. I looked round to see that I was still in a forest like I was before I got shot down, however there was no Koreans in sight, nor a destroyed helicopter.
I checked myself, and surprisingly found out that all my gear was in tacked and I wasn’t hurt. I even found my high caliber rifle a few feet away from me, with my M1911 next to it and my camoed hat as well.
“The hell? How is any of this possible, and how am I unharmed by that crash.”I said out loud, under my breath, to no one in particular.
I slowly approached my weapons and hat, cautious if this was a trap or something like that. I slowly picked up my weapons, and found them to be in working order and untouched. I then picked up my hat and put it on with a sense of pride, I had the thing since I was in high school and it was given to me by my family when I was shipped off to the military after I signed up.
As I finished adjusting my hat so that it fitted comfortably on my head, I tried to call in command.
“Command this is Delta 39, do you come in?” I spoke into my ear piece, but was only greeted with static.
“Command, this is Delta 39, do you come in?” I spoke again, but only getting the same results as the first time.
“Damn” I thought to myself, before bringing my attention to the vegetated forest that I was stuck in.
After brainstorming on my options, I decided to go take a look around, it would be for the best if I got to know the area. I began to walk through the vegetated forest, taking in the surroundings as I walked, and taking note on certain landmarks like certain trees that stood out from the rest, or a few boulders to keep track of where I was going. I had to stay focus on memorizing the area, but I couldn’t help but enjoy the peaceful environment that I was in.
I would always take long walks after school in a nearby forest by myself, or my sister who would sometimes tag along. After a few minutes of walking, and memorizing the area, I could see a mountain peak that appeared to have some kind of castle on the side of it. Strange, but at least it’s a sign of civilization. I knew I had to figure out where I was, and talking with the locals is a good start. I walked in the general direction that the mountain was, and I made sure that I didn’t lose sight of it.
After walking for what felt like an eternity, I heard some chatter coming not far from my location. I got down, and listened into what the chatter was. I couldn’t hear specifically on what they were saying, but it sounded like they spoke English. Relieving, considering that I don’t have a language barrier to deal with if I were to meet with the inhabitants of this area. My train of thought was caught off though, as a loud sheek sounded through the forest, without thinking I started to sprint to the source of the sheeking.
After a minute of sprinting, I took cover behind a tree/bushed area. I took a look around, and I saw that a pack of wooded creatures were surrounding a small horse of some kind. As I took a closer looked, I was shocked to hear it scream out for help in plain English.
“PLEASE SOMEPONY, ANYPONY, HELP!!” It pleaded as the pack of wooded creatures began to close in on their prey.
I was shocked, but I snapped out of my dumbfounded state and took aim with my rifle at the first creature that came into view. After a moment of adjusting my aim, I shot at the creature, and it dropped down with skin splattering everywhere. The other creatures quickly drew their attention to their now dead pack member and began to look for who was responsible for it. I took aim at another creature, and shot it dead in between the eyes, however the rest of the pack now knew my location, and started to charge in my direction. I lowered my rifle, and pulled out my M1911 to take out the closing in targets. I fired at two of the creatures, and they both dropped dead. However the third and finale creature was able to lunge at me and pounce me. I was laid out on my back with a snarling creature that resembled a wolf, but strangely had glowing green eyes. I struggled to keep the beast off me, but I soon managed to kick it off of me, giving me a brief moment to get up. I didn’t bother to look around for my pistol that was thrown from my grip when I was jumped, so I pulled out my knife. The creature was still down from when I kicked it off of me and I took this advantage, and ran to it to strike it with my knife in the head. My knife went through the beast head cleanly, and it struggled for a moment before going still. I pulled out my knife from it’s skull and noticed for the first time that this creature was entirely made of wood.
“What the fuck” I thought to myself, before looking up to see the small pony from before, looking at me with complete shock.
We stared each other in the eyes for a solid moment, before I decided to break the silence.
“Um… Hey.” I said in a calm/sarcastic tone to show that I didn’t mean any harm.
When I spoke, the small pony looked even more shocked and now scared. I slowly got to my feet, without breaking eye contact with the small pony, and place my knife back into it’s appropriate case. I then approached the small pony, which made the small pony try to get up. However that didn’t work, because it immediately collapsed, and heavily favored it’s right lower leg, it was clear that it was hurt.
“Hey, you alright?” I asked while kneeling down to the small pony, which didn’t responded to my question.
I then pointed at it’s leg, “May I see it? I promise I won’t hurt you.” I said in an understanding tone. The small pony compiled, and allowed me to see it’s injury.
As I checked the damaged leg, I could hear the groans from the small pony, who was clearly in pain, thankfully though it seemed to be an average fractured bone, but it was still too unstable for moving/getting this horse out of this forest.
“Wait here, I’ll be right back.” I said, while getting back onto my feet.
I made my way back to the bushed area that I took cover in, and collected my weapons, along with two sticks that I broke off a branch. I made my way back to the small pony, and kneeled down to start crafting a splint.
“You got a name?” I asked to the small pony, who was flitching in pain as I positioned the two sticks opposite of each other on the broken leg.
“...Name Is Scootaloo…” It responded in a shyish tone, while also dealing with the pain of it’s busted up leg.
The voice sounded female, so I’d assume that this small horse is a girl.
“Good to meet you, Scootaloo, name’s Wolf.” I responded to her while tieing up the two sticks together on the leg with the laces that I got from one of my boots.
“Weird name, but thanks for saving me back there, Wolf.”
“I could say the same about you Scootaloo.” I responded with a small chuckle at the somewhat, smart ass comment.
“You know the way out of here Scootaloo?” I asked, but only getting a sad/kinda cute shake of her head.
“Sorry Wolf, but I got lost out here while doing some tricks on my scooter. I wanted to impress Rainbow Dash, but a pack of timberwolves jumped me, and I got scared, and I tried to lose them, but I crashed my scooter, and well… You know the rest.” she explained to me in a quick, but sad tone.
“I wouldn’t go beat yourself up over it kid, and besides you’re now safe.” I said to Scootaloo, trying to get her hopes/spirit up.
“I’ll get you back home, I was following the direction of a castle that I saw on the side of a mountain when I woke up.”
“You must be talking about Canterlot, that’s where our princesses live. Maybe when we get out of here, you should talk with them.” said Scootaloo, trying to be helpful.
“Sounds like a good idea, I guess that’s where we’re heading.”. Scootaloo shook her head in agreement, while I checked myself to make sure that I had all my belongings with me.
I did, and I picked up Scootaloo carefully with making sure that I wasn’t hurting her injured leg. I made sure that she was comfortable and that’s when I noticed that she had wings, I was surprised, and that got Scootaloo’s attention.
“Everything alright, Wolf?”
“You’re a Pegasus?!”
“Yeah, so? Ever see a Pegasus before?”
“No, actually. Where I’m from, Pegasuses are just myths.”
“What’s a myth?”
[Wolf starts to walk with Scootaloo, on their way to Canterlot.]
“A myth is like a well spoken story of a certain creature, event, or individual that is well known, however there’s no proof of its actual existence, and it’s mostly used to teach people lessons”
“People? What’s that?”
“The thing that my species are called, well more specifically, we’re called humans.”
“Humans… Strange, but then again, you’re the one who saved me from those timberwolves, and patched my leg up.”
“Yeah, talk about a strange day for both of us.”
“No kidding.”
A Lone Rifleman in Equestria
A Lone Rifleman in Equestria: Chapter 4
[Ponyville. Few minutes after the events of chapter three.]
As we walked through the town, I could see that something drastic has taken place here. A few buildings were collapsed, or just barely standing at all with large holes in them from either the roofs or sides of the buildings. Guards were everywhere, patrolling the area and making sure that everything remained calm and collective. What I assumed to be firefighter ponies were attending the rubble of the damaged houses, and a few ponies were sorting through the rubble looking for what I assumed to be valuable things that belonged to them. The guards and firefighter ponies watched and monitored the ponies who were digging through the rubble, from what I think was to make sure that the right ponies were searching for valuables that belonged to them in the first place, and were probably the ones who lived in those houses before they got destroyed.
We continued to walk across town, while getting a few shocked faces and occasional gasps from the ponies who noticed my presence. It didn’t take long until we reach to what looked like a crystal castle, this must be where the princess lived. We made our way inside the castle, which when we entered, I was actually surprised of how nice the place looked.
“Here we are everypony, welcome to my castle.” Twilight proudly said to me and the guards who were watching me closely.
“You got a pretty nice set-up here, Twilight.” I commented.
“Thanks Wolf.” she replied.
“Now then, let’s get down to business.” Twilight said, while using her magic to open a nearby door to that lead into what looked like a meeting room.
I was then escorted to that room by the guards and Twilight, when we entered the room it was actually some kind of meeting room that had a round table in the center of the room. Around that table was six thrones, and a smaller one throne that was next to one of the larger thrones that had the same symbol on it that Twilight had on her rear, note to self, ask about that whole tattoo on the ass thing that all these ponies had for some reason.
“Please take a seat, Wolf, we have much to talk about.” said Twilight that directed me to take a seat in one of the thrones. I complied and took a seat into one of the thrones. The throne that I took a seat in had a rainbow coloured lighting bolt and a white cloud at the top of the throne. It wasn’t exactly comfortable, but it was fine for the most part. Twilight took a seat at the opposite side of the table, while the guards took position around the room while keeping a steady and calm posture, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice if called forth by something that would cause them to take action. I was about to say something, when I saw Twilight's horn lit up and levitated a piece of paper and quill to her. She also waved over a guard and asked that he went and fetch someone by the name of “Spike”. The guard complied and took off to do the thing that he was just instructed to do, while me and Twilight got down to business on figuring each other out.
She got herself ready to write down answers, but at that moment I decided to break the silence.
“That’s a pretty unique trick you have there, Twilight. I’ve never seen anything like that before, well aside from fictional folklore.” I said in a polite and calm tone.
“It’s just magic, Wolf. You never seen magic before?” Twilight asked.
“Not before I met you, where I come from magic doesn’t exist and is only a myth.”
“Really? Hmm, interesting.” said Twilight while writing down this information on her piece of paper.
“So, Wolf. What exactly are you and where did you come from?”
“My species are called “humans” and we come from the planet Earth. I honestly have no idea of how I got here, one minute I was checking over my weapons on my ranch, then the next thing I knew I woke up in that forest.” I replied, while lying about how I actually got here. I don’t know how these ponies would react if I were to tell them the truth of my past.
“Interesting, tell me, why do you have those weapons in the first place?” asked Twilight.
“Well for multiple reason, one being that it helps keep coyotes and vermin off of my property and to protect a small live stock that I have on my ranch.”
“Okay, I understand.” said Twilight as she wrote down my answer. As she was writing, the door to the room slowly opened and the guard returned with what looked like a small purple and green Dragon…. “well this shit just keeps on getting better and better.” I thought to myself.
“Hey Twilight, what do you need?” asked the small dragon who suddenly stopped in his tracks when he first caught sight of me. “What in celestia is that?!” asked the now frightened dragon.
“Hey! Watch your tongue, Spike.” snapped Twilight at the nervous dragon.
“... Sorry Twilight. So what is it that you want?” asked Spike.
“First off, I would like you to apologize to Wolf for being rude. Secondly, I’d like you to send a letter to Princess Celestia about Wolf. I want her informed about our new friend. Can you do that Spike?”
“Yeah… sure thing Twilight. Hey, Wolf, sorry about being a little rude to you.”
“Don’t worry about it, I’d do the same thing as you did.” I replied to Spike, while accepting his apology. With that, Spike went off to complete his new tasks. Meanwhile me and Twilight got back to Q&A stuff.
“So Wolf, I’m assuming that you have some questions of your own?” asked Twilight.
“Yeah I do, are you willing to answer them?” I asked, while getting a nod from Twilight to ask away.
“Right. So first question, what exactly happened before I showed up?”
“The Changelings and Sombra happened…” replied Twilight with a now sad expression on her face.
“The Changelings are a group of ponies that feed off the love and power of ponies like me and everyone else in Ponyville.” she explained.
“Sombra is a ruthless leader that at one point enslaved an entire empire, and cause a massive civil war in Equestria. However he was defeated by my mentors Princess Luna and Princess Celestia, and was banished for all eternity. He somehow managed to return, and despite being defeated a second time by me and my friends, he came back stronger than ever with the Changelings. They were working together, but fortunately we managed to fend off their attack. However, the queen of the changelings and Sombra managed to escape and we’ve been on high alert ever since.”
“Well… It seems like you ponies have been having a couple of bad days, eh?” I asked sarcastically.
“Tell me about it” replied Twilight with a small smirk.
I was about to ask another question when the small dragon from before returned with what appeared to be a message in claw.
“Twilight, I got news from Princess Celestia. She says that her and Luna will be here tomorrow to meet Wolf.” said Spike.
“I see, thank you Spike. Could you actually do one more thing for us?”
“Sure thing Twilight, what do you need?”
“Can you prepare our guest some food and water? I’m sure that he’s quite famished from everything he’s been through, isn’t that right Wolf?”
“Yeah. Some food and Drink would be nice, Twilight.”
“You heard him Spike, please get to it.”
“Sure thing.” replied Spike, and with that he took off.
“Sorry about that, please continue with what you’re about to ask.” said Twilight.
“How’s Celestia and Luna?” I asked.
“My mentors and current rulers of Equestria. Don’t worry, they’re quite nice and as long as you don’t go do something foolish, you’ll be fine.” responded Twilight.
“Good to know.”
A Lone Rifleman in Equestria
A Lone Rifleman in Equestria: Chapter 5
[30 minutes after the events of chapter 4]
“Not bad, I’ll give them that.” I thought to myself as I finished the salad that Spike brought me, after me and Twilight finished up our Q&A session. In that time, I learned quite a few things about these ponies and how they operate. Apparently, the Pegasus control the weather cycles and are in charge of maintaining order to that cycle. The “cutie-marks” shows/explains/symbolizes the individual’s talents and true purpose in life, and lastly the two princess that I was told about and going to eventually meet in the near future are over one thousand years old, and are immortals who cannot die of natural causes. Twilight and five of her friends, whose names are Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, AppleJack, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity, are apparently the elements of harmony who have the most powerful magic in Equestria that was used multiple times to defeat its foes, and generally a lot of weird stuff, but seeing as this is a world of talking ponies, nothing can really surprise me at the point.
I was hanging out in the throne room, playing games on my phone to pass the time, while Twilight had some business to attend to after we finished our Q&A session. At first the guards questioned the device I had with me, but after explaining it to them of what my phone was actually for and proving that it didn’t pose a threat to them or those they were protecting, they backed off and allowed me to resume my interests in keeping myself occupied while waiting for Twilight to return.
After a few hours, the doors to the throne room opened with Twilight and a group of ponies behind her, entered the throne room. The group of ponies consisted of two Pegasuses, another unicorn like Twilight (minus the wings), and two normal ponies who according to Twilight are earth ponies.
“Girls! Meet Wolf, Wolf. Meet the rest of the elements of harmony.” said Twilight who turned to her friends to introduce them to me.
“This is Rainbow Dash” Twilight said while pointing at the Rainbow maned and blue coated Pegasus.
“Fluttershy” Twilight said while pointing at the pink maned and light yellow coated Pegasus.
“Rarity.” Twilight said while pointing at the purple maned and white coated unicorn.
“Applejack.” Twilight said while pointing at the yellow maned, orange coated, and cowboy hat wearing earth pony.
“And Pinkie Pi..” said Twilight before getting caught off by a pink blur that caught all of us off guard, before I knew it I had a pink pony in my lap spurring out inaudible dialogue.
“HI I’M PINKIE PIE, ARE YOU AN ALIEN? WHERE ARE YOU FROM?!” Shouted Pinkie Pie before I grabbed her, threw her down on the throne room table, and held her in a position that she wouldn’t be able to move.
“HEY!! LET HER GO!!” shouted Rainbow Dash, which I noticed from the corner of my eye, flying closer to me with rage in her eyes. I picked up the pink pony, while barely missing Rainbow Dash who tried to hit me in the head to let her friend go, then I faced myself towards the crowd of ponies with Pinkie in my arms. I used her as a shield so that the ponies would stay back from me and her.
“I wasn’t screwing around when I said that I would take action if I were attacked, now if any of you even think of taking another step near me, I’ll snap your friends neck.” I threatened which angered most, but frightened a few. Most notably the yellow pony named Fluttershy who was weeping behind one of her friends as this stand off took place. Rarity, I believe her name was, who was comforting the upset pony but not taking her eye’s off of me, as with everypony in the room.
“Wolf, let her go. Pinkie meant no harm to you, she can get a little excited with meeting new pon… er I mean people for the first time.” said Twilight with a firm voice, and trying to be intimidating as possible, but also persuasive in doing as she demands.
“..... I’ll let her go, but only if a few things are met by you ponies.”
“Fine, Wolf, what do you want?”
“First off, I want my weapons that you confiscated from me when I first arrived. Secondly, I want out of here with nobody following me. There’s no way that we can make peace after this, and you have enough on your plate with that Sombra and Changeling business. Besides, I can’t trust that your boss would be to pleased in finding out that I took hostage of one of her subjects.” I demanded to Twilight.
Twilight thought for a moment, and with a look of reluctantly on her face, she ordered one of her guards to fetch my weapons. After the unicorn that was ordered to fetch my weapons, we stood still with no one daring to break the silence. Me and the group of ponies never broke our gaze from each other and were watching each others actions very carefully to see whether the ponies would try anything that would led me to lose the upper hand and give them an opportunity to take me down and save their frightened friend who at this point was softly weeping in my hold that I had on her. After what felt like an eternity of waiting, the guard returned with my items that they confiscated.
“Alright, now use your weird magic to levitate my things to me.” I ordered, with them obeying and levitating my weapons towards me.
My weapons were close enough for me to grab, but I didn’t want to release my hold on Pinkie. I then ordered them to place my weapons on the ground, as they did after I commanded them to do so, and with my left leg I slided my weapons behind me that I kneeled down after all weapons were behind me, and while having Pinkie in one arm, with facing the group of ponies, and the other to pick up my weapons and place them in their proper holster.
I got back up with Pinkie still in my hold, who didn’t dare try to struggle with the fear of what would happen if she did. I had my knife in the hand that put my weapons back where they belonged on me, and held the knife to her throat. The Pink pony was now even more terrified at this point, and the others in front of me grew more relentless and concerned. Rainbow Dash looked at me with a gaze that if looks could kill then I would be dead.
After navigating myself to the outside of the castle, and near the treeline where I could make a break for it, while all at the same time making sure that no pony could get the upperhand from me. I stood at the treeline, with now an even bigger crowd of ponies at the scene and was able to make a break for it. I looked at Pinkie, whispered in her ear, “I’m sorry that it had to come to this.” Released her, and made a sprint dash towards the deep forest. Nopony followed, and as usual I was on my own.
A Lone Rifleman in Equestria
A Lone Rifleman in Equestria: Chapter 6
[A few hours after the events of chapter 5]
“This is insane Twilight, we cannot let that freak go free after what it did to Pinkie.” Rainbow Dash plead to Twilight, while the others catered to a shakened and frightened Pinkie Pie.
“If we do that, then there’s a good chance that he would return and cause a lot more damage than ever. The best that we can do at this point is to forget all about him and move onto more important matters, such as focusing on our enemies of the changelings and Sombra.” explained Twilight while sitting in her throne and reading over and signing agreements for a plan of action to deal with the now many homeless ponies whose houses were destroyed in the attack.
“That creep is our enemy Twilight, we need to get him first before he gets us.”
“There’s nothing that we can do right now. We’re already stretched thin with Sombra and Chrysalis running a muck, and we can’t risk any ponies in tracking him and bringing him in.”
“I’ll do it then, I really don’t care who does it! As long as that creep isn’t around to pose a threat to anypony else, then I’ll be relieved. Equestria has enough problems as is and the sooner we start actually doing something to these problems that can permanently get resolved, the safer and better will Equestria and it’s ponies will be when creeps like Wolf are dealt with.” preached the heated Rainbow Dash who was mad about the whole situation.
“No Dash, we need you here in case another attack happens. We were just barely able to fend them off the first time they attacked us, but another could prove to be our demise. That why the elements of harmony needs to stay in close proximity to each other until this issue is resolved.”
“Listen sugar cube, I don’t like it any much as you do right now but you need to listen to Twilight. She knows what’s best for us right now, and it would be wise obey her, she is the one who got us out in worser things in the past” said AppleJack who with Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie joined into the conversation after Pinkie calmed down.
“Either of you don’t understand, we need to deal with all of our enemies at the moment, including Wolf that you all of a sudden know so well, Twilight.”
“We will, but now is not the time. Ponyville needs us and we’re ordered to stay in Equestria by Celestia and Luna, we’ll speak to them in the morning about this when they arrive, but until then, here in Ponyville is where we’re all gonna stay.” preached Twilight
“Wolf did apologize to me before he took off.” added Pinkie with a quiet voice that could match Fluttershy’s usual tone.
“I think you’re just angry about everything that has happened, maybe you should just sleep it off. Ponies tend to not think when they’re furious, and I think that is the case for you. I’m okay Dash, Wolf didn’t hurt me and like I said, he did apologize for what he did to me.” explained Pinkie.
“He did say that he would take such action if he was provoked, and I believe that is what happened when Pinkie jumped on him. He got startled and well, we all know the rest.” added Twilight.
“You guys are delusional! This could be a life and death thing that if we don’t take action, somepony could get hurt or killed. That blood being on our hooves!” preached a frustrated Rainbow Dash
“Look! We’ll speak with Celestia and Luna when they come tomorrow, but right now I can’t do anything to track down Wolf or put a bounty on his head, my role as princess of friendship doesn’t have me do those things, nor am I allowed to do any of those things. Although I am one of the alicorns of Equestria, the only way I could do something like that is to have condolences from a pony with actual political say in it such as the mayor of ponyville or Celestia, Luna, or Cadence. ”
“This is ridiculous Twilight! The minutes that we waste waiting for Celestia and Luna is a minute of potential danger that could be coming for all of us. Who knows what Wolf could be doing now, and if nopony else will go out and find out as well as deal with him so that he’s no longer a threat, then as I said I’ll go look for him and see to it that he wouldn’t be able to harm anypony.”
“I already told you that ponyville needs us, we’re already stretched thin with everything that has happened and all hooves need to be on deck, right now, in order to clean up the mess that the changelings and Sombra left us. These are Celestia and Luna’s orders, and those are the orders that we must follow until further notice.”
“Always loyal to those who are above you and can’t think for yourself, eh Twilight? How will the likes of you ever take control of Equestria when the time comes?” angrily snarled Rainbow Dash.
“.............I think you should get out of here Rainbow Dash.” said Twilight with a tone of sorrow.
“Oh so now you want us to split up? What happened to staying together and~~” responded Rainbow Dash before she was caught off guard by Twilight.
“I SAID GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!” angrily shouted Twilight.
“....................As you wish, your highness.” said Rainbow Dash who flew away in disgust and with a sense of disappointment.
[Meanwhile elsewhere in the Everfree Forest]
“~~So after nearly killing a small horse by the name of Pinkie Pie, and making an enemy with the locals of this strange world, I am now looking for someplace to set up. I don’t know how long I’ll actually be here, but I need to find some way to get back home. If I fail in doing that, then maybe one day someone will find these field reports, or recordings, or whatever the hell you want to call these things, it won’t matter to me anyways.” said Wolf with ending the recording from the recorder that he remembered he had in one of his pockets that has him required to explain his missions and the things that he sees in those missions.
Wolf continued to walk for quite sometime, until he spotted a cave on the side of a rocky hill. After climbing up to the cave, Wolf took a moment to look at the newly gained view of the landscape.
“Hmm….This will do for now.” Wolf thought to himself while turning his attention the cave, behind him.
Wolf turns on his flashlight that he had equiped with him on the right strap of his backpack. He cautiously enters the cave, M1911 in one hand and the flashlight in the other. After discovering that the cave was empty and the area was secure, Wolf relaxed and took his backpack off and took a quick breath before kneeling down to his backpack. After searching through his equipment, he retrieved a small and portable axe. Wolf gets up and exits the cave with leaving his rifle and backpack, with all his equipment in it, to set out to get firewood. Armed only with a loaded M1911 in it’s holster and the small axe in his left hand, Wolf descends from the rocky hill, wolf proceeds to start chopping at a couple of trees and logs for the remainder of the night.
[Rainbow Dash's Cloud House]
A frustrated Rainbow Dash pours herself another drink of cider, drinks it, but throws it against the wall that results in the glass cup getting smashed to small pieces.
“Ahh, that son of a bitch! Who the hell does he think he is with doing that to Pinkie Pie?! She didn’t know any better, and practically does it to everypony that she ever meets.” Rainbow Dash said out loud to no pony but herself, angered about everything to do with what Wolf did to Pinkie Pie.
Rainbow Dash takes a few minutes to calm down, and managing to do so. She realized the mess she had made in her frustrated stance, and grabs a broom from a closet that she uses to clean up the shattered glass. She cleans up her mess, and puts away her cider in the refrigerator to keep it and many of her other favourite foods/drinks cool or saved for her to use at her disposal. Rainbow Dash trots over to her room, and looks out one of the world to the greeting of Luna's night. She ponders and thinks things over for a while till she feels a small nudge at her back hooves. She looks down at Tank who is looking at her with a sign of happiness and satisfaction that his owner was there Rainbow Dash smiles and picks up Tank to join her in looking out at the window, petting his head as they both look out the window together.
“You know Tank, why is it that in a land full of friendship and love, their are plenty of dirt bags running a muck and causing everypony else grief?” Rainbow Dash asked Tank, even though she knew that he couldn’t answer and probably had no idea what she was talking about.
Rainbow Dash kissed Tank on the forehead before putting him down on the floor, and commanding him to go to his bed at the foot of his owners queen sized bed. He obeyed and started to make his way to his bed, as Rainbow Dash went over to her bathroom to clean herself up for bed.
After getting herself ready for a good night's rest, she noticed Tank already asleep in his shell but having his head poked out for his face to be visible. Rainbow Dash smiled at this before getting into her own bed, she got herself comfortable and attempted to doze off to sleep. Unfortunately for her, the image of seeing Pinkie Pie in total fear and look of anger on Wolfs face as he held a knife to her friends throat was still fresh in her mind that she couldn’t get out.
After what felt like an eternity of tossing and turning, Rainbow Dash got up and sat the edge of her bed, thinking about Wolf, Pinkie Pie, and the argument she had with her friends. She grew angry again and started thinking about that thing she said about going out to deal with Wolf and eliminate the new danger that Equestria now has on it’s hoods.
She quietly caught up to not awake Tank, and made her way to the bathroom to mix her mane and clean herself up. After she finished up in the bathroom, she quietly makes her way to her closet and retrieves a holster for a knife that she attaches to her left hoof. After that, she retrieves a baseball bat with a strap on it so that she can carry it on her back as she moves around with it at her disposal. She then trots to her mirrored cabinet where a case was placed at the foot of the mirror. Rainbow Dash opens the case to reveal a dagger and a photograph. She carefully picks it up and checks it over if it was sharp enough, with it being very sharp that it nearly cuts her hoof as she checks it over. After holstering the dagger, she picked up the photograph that was also in the case with the dagger. The photograph was of Rainbow Dash with her father and mother, she looked at it with showing a small amount of sorrow, but quickly shook it off and put the photo back in the case and closed it. She quietly leaves her room, heads outside of her house, and takes to the air.
“I’ll show that creep that nopony screws around with Rainbow Dash or her friends.” Rainbow Dash thought to herself as she flew off to find Wolf and get some payback for Pinkie Pie.
A Lone Rifleman in Equestria
A Lone Rifleman in Equestria: Chapter 7
[The Everfree Forest]
In the peaceful surroundings of the Everfree Forest, the wildlife in the area continue with their daily routines as they always have. Birds and Owls settle into their nest for the night to not only protect their young, but to also get some rest for the upcoming day. Timber Wolves and a few Bears patrol their nests with keeping an eye and nose out for potential predators and prey that could either bring them harm or their next meal to feast on. As the night flows through it's usual routine, a squirrel, who has a large piece of fruit in it's mouth, emerges from the bushes and scurries through an opening to a single tree in the center of the opening. The squirrel scurries up the tree and into his nest that is perch inside of the tree in a hole that has rotted and chewed up to make it inhabitable for small creatures, such as the squirrel. The squirrel puts the large piece of fruit down and prepares to dive into it's meal when all of a sudden a loud pop disturbed the sound of the silent and peaceful night that surrounded the small squirrel. Before the squirrel could react, something punctured it's head and everything to the squirrel went black. The corpse of the squirrel fell forward, and out of it's nest, plummeting to the hard ground below. Emerging from a crouched position from the bush line of the Everfree forest, emerged Wolf who blew away the smoke from his 1911 pistol with pride of the impressive shot he just made onto his target. Wolf holsters his sidearm and walks towards the spot where the squirrel landed, at the foot of the large tree the squirrel once called home. While walking towards the spot, Wolf adjusts the improvised satchel that he made from a couple of vines that had deceased creatures, such as two rabbits, a small fox hound, and three birds hanging from the satchel. Wolf kneels down and picks up his prey while also checking it to see if it was still editable for him to consume. Luckily it was, but just barely with the round used to kill the squirrel nearly taking the whole creature apart from it being smaller than the average squirrel.
"This will do." Wolf thought to himself as he holstered the deceased squirrel to his satchel with the rest of his game. As Wolf raised himself from his kneeling position, he took notice of his surroundings.
"Hmm, if I remember correctly, then I shouldn't be far from it." Wolf thought to himself while staring to walk in the direction of the familiar surroundings.
After a couple of minutes of walking and making sure that he was on the right path to his destination, he came across a familiar scene from when first woke up in this crazy place.
"Ah, there it is. I was so worried about Scootaloo that I completely forgot about this thing she had with her." Wolf thought to himself as he picked up Scootaloo's scooter, dusting off dust and maggots who were chewing at the wooden plank of the base of the scooter. After examining the scooter, Wolf came to the conclusion that it was still in good shape, minus the few scratches/chew marks from the initial crash and the maggots feasting on it, as well as a shattered mirror on the right handle bar of the scooter.
As Wolf was looking at the shattered mirror, he spot something bluish that was coming directly for him in the reflection of the mirror. Taking evasive action, Wolf got out of the way from whatever it was that was coming towards him. Wolf unholstered his sidearm, and turned towards where he once stood. But before he could raise his firearm up at whatever that thing was, he was sent back by a strong kick to the chest that had him on his back in pain. As he tried to recover and get himself up, something jumped on him that kicked out his gun from his hand, placed enough pressure on Wolf's right arm to hold it down, and drove a dagger towards his face. Luckily and within a few inches of the blade making contact with Wolf, he managed to block the dagger with his free left arm. As he struggled to keep the dagger at bay, he noticed what that thing was that was attacking him, it was the rainbow maned Pegasus that was giving him a death glare when he had Pinkie as a hostage and made his escape from Ponyville.
“You’re gonna learn what happens when you mess with one of my friends, you son of a bitch!” The Pegasus muttered through her teeth as she held the dagger in her mouth and struggled against Wolf’s effort to keep her dagger at bay. After a few moments of struggle, Wolf managed to squirm his left leg out of the horizontal hold that Rainbow Dash had her free right back leg in so that Wolf couldn’t move his legs, and Wolf managed to hit Rainbow Dash in the side with a stern knee strike that had Rainbow Dash stumble and lost most of her grip on Wolf. From this opportunity, Wolf punched Rainbow Dash off of him, knocking the dagger out of her mouth in the process. Wolf noticed this and quickly crawled over to the prone dagger, Rainbow Dash noticed this as well, and rushed to stop Wolf from getting his hands on the dagger. Wolf managed to grab the dagger while also rolling out of the way from Rainbow Dash who came down hard to the ground from where Wolf was prone. Rainbow Dash tried to kick Wolf as she had before to keep him down, but Wolf caught her hoof and twisted it that resulted in her leg snapping from the pressure that the sudden twist brought to her leg.
“AHH!!” Rainbow Dash screamed as her now broken leg shot massive amounts of pain through her body, but her screaming was soon brought to an end by a hard punch to the side of her head, knocking her unconscious.
Wolf took a couple of breaths before getting to his feet. He made sure that Rainbow Dash was completely out of it, which she was, and took a quick look around to see if anyone else was around to possibly attack him as well. He figured that if Rainbow Dash wasn’t alone, then he would have already been attacked by now, but he was trained to do this in situations like the one that just took place with him being attacked by a hostile. After he checked to see if anyone else was around, which there wasn’t, he looked around to where his sidearm and hat that came off during the fight had went. He spotted and collected them, while keeping an eye on the unconscious Pegasus that was a few inches away from him. He stood and thought for a second before picking up and folding the handlebar to Scootaloo's scooter, hooking it to his satchel, and walked towards a tree with a couple of thick vines hanging from it’s branches. After using his small axe that he had with him for collecting fire wood that he did before going out hunting for food, he collected what he needed, and he made his way towards Rainbow Dash with intentions of helping her. After holstering the small axe He tied her hooves, wings, and had the thickest of vines in her mouth to not only keep her quiet but also make sure that she couldn’t chew her way through it. After that, he checked over her broken leg and inspected the damage he caused. As expected by Wolf, and unfortunate for Rainbow Dash, her leg was twisted in a odd position that needed to be set back into place. Wolf wouldn’t be able to move her if her leg remained like his, and he also needed to get a brace on her leg as it would keep it in place when moving her.
“You’re most certainly not gonna like this.” Wolf thought to himself while taking a deep breath and getting a strong grip on the fractured leg.
“1...2...3.” Wolf counted to himself, and on the count of three he snapped the fractured leg back into place. This made Rainbow Dash snap out of her unconscious state, and screaming in pain through the thick vine in her mouth. Wolf held her down as she freaked out in pain in order for her to not move her broken leg.
After a few moments of her struggling to move, but with no success with being held down by Wolf. She stopped moving from her muscles giving out from all the pain she was from moving, and deeply sobbed from the pain she was in.
As she cried, Wolf got to work with securing her fractured leg. He took a branch he collected and tied it to the fractured area. After making sure all vines were securely tightened, he gave the Pegasus a moment to calm down and the pain to fade away.
After a few minutes of waiting, Rainbow Dash stopped sobbing and calmed down. She was still in pain, but not as bad from a few minutes ago.
“You okay now?” Wolf asked, but with no answer from Rainbow Dash.
“Look, I’m sorry that I did this to you. But I had to do it in order for me to get you out of here. Your leg would only would’ve gotten worse if I left it the way it was.” Wolf explained, but still no answer from Rainbow Dash.
“Alright then, if that’s how you want it.” Wolf told Rainbow Dash as he moved his hands under Rainbow Dash to pick her up.
Wolf slowly picked her up with making sure the leg was secure and she was in as much comfort as possible. Wolf was now on his feet with everything collected, and he made his way back towards his campsite in the cave.
“It’s far too dark out to take you back to Ponyville, I’ll take you back to my camp for now then to Ponyville in the morning.” Wolf explained to Rainbow Dash who didn’t answer and was still mad at Wolf for everything that has happened.
“Well in all honesty, I cannot blame her. I’d be just as pissed if I was where she is right now.” Wolf thought to himself as he began to make the trip back to his camp, while also wondering how things will unfold when he makes a return trip to Ponyville in the morning.

A Lone Rifleman in Equestria: Chapter 8
[The Everfree Forest. Twenty minutes after the events of chapter seven.]
After walking through the Everfree Forest with a injured Pegasus in his arms, Wolf made his way to his camp. It was tricky, but Wolf managed find a safer path to his cave with unable to take the original route he took to the cave with Rainbow Dash in his arms that had a broken leg.
Wolf enters the cave with carefully putting down Rainbow Dash in his sleeping bag that he previously had taken out from his backpack while setting up camp in the cave. Wolf had released most of Rainbow Dash, except her injured leg. Wolf gently lowers her leg onto a small pillow that he had set up so that Rainbow Dash's broken leg can be set comfortably and minimize the pain for Rainbow Dash. As Wolf lowered Rainbow Dash's leg onto the pillow, a extremely small shift in the position of the fractured leg caused a jolt of pain to shoot through Rainbow Dash’s body, causing her react as she did when Wolf first broke it.
“Shit! Sorry.” Wolf said to Rainbow Dash.
“ Ah! Just put it down already!!” Rainbow Dash shouted through the pain.
Wolf did this and after a few moments Rainbow Dash calmed down as the pain eased off.
“You okay now?” Wolf asked but to no response from Rainbow Dash who wouldn’t look at him as she is even now more angered with him then she was before with the sudden pain that came from him lowering her bad leg incorrectly.
“.... Still giving me the cold shoulder eh? Well if you change your mind on that and intend to start talking to me then I won’t be far, I’m gonna put my stuff away, go start a fire, and get my dinner going.” Wolf said as he got up and walked towards a stack of firewood that he had collected before he had went out hunting. He also unattached the small scooter that he had latched on his satchel and set it down with his bag in the corner.
As Wolf prepares a fire and quickly skins his prey from when he was out hunting, Rainbow Dash quietly sat and relaxed in her place that Wolf had left her. Although ticked off she wondered why Wolf went to all this trouble for her, the pegasus that tried to kill him. Curiosity got the best of her and she finally decided to break the silence with Wolf to ask him a question.
“Why did you help me?” she asked
“Come again?”
“Why did you help me?”
“You being a casualty wasn’t necessary, I don’t kill unless it is absolutely called for.” Answered Wolf as he relaxed near the fire he had built with also cooking his skinned prey over the fire by means of a rotating stick that had the prey on it.
“So Rainbow Dash, if I recall. May I ask you something?”
“I suppose so.”
“Why did you come after me and where did you get a nice looking blade such as this one?” Wolf asked as he pulled out Rainbow Dash's Dagger from his belt he had placed it in before attending to Rainbow Dash
“You give that back!!” Rainbow Dash demanded and tried to get up but was stopped by a sharp pain in her broken leg, causing her to favor it for a moment and remain in Wolf's sleeping bag.
“I will once I take you back home in the morning. Where did you get this beauty anyways?” Wolf explained as he examined the dagger.
“That’s none of your business!” she angrily replied
“Fair enough. Anyways, get some rest. I’ll be on watch.” Wolf said as he put away Rainbow Dash's dagger and went to retrieve his rifle, but was stopped by some kind of force that had him stop in his place. Before he knew it he was against the stone wall of the cave he and Rainbow Dash was in.
“You two go check on Mrs. Rainbow Dash, the rest of you keep your eyes and weapons on the suspect.” A mysterious, but female, voice commanded and with that multiple guards from Ponyville stormed into the cave with doing as they were commanded.
Wolf had his back against the stone wall and was unable to move, he could only watch as the guards did as they were told and tended to Rainbow Dash as well as making sure that Wolf was contained.
“The suspect is contained your highness.” said one of the guards and with that emerged a tall dark purple unicorn that also had wings like a Pegasus. Wolf realized that this was it was a alicorn as he remembered the descriptions of them in Greek mythology. Wolf had also noticed that she was wearing a crown, and had her horn glowing. He figured that this must be one of the princesses that Twilight mentioned about back in Ponyville and was suppose to meet before things went sideways. The alicorn began to speak to Wolf...
“I would have been on watch if I were you or at least set up something that could alert you if anypony was coming to your little home you have made in this cave.” She mocked and paused to expected some answer from Wolf, but was only met with silence and a ticked off look from Wolf.
“I see. Well we shall speak later.” the alicorn said as she put a sleeping spell on Wolf that had everything for Wolf go completely black.
Rainbow Dash was about to say something to the alicorn but in a flash of light she found herself outside a hospital that had medical personnel on standby to get her checked into ponyville hospital as well as get her leg fixed.
“Alicorns and their egghead magic.” she thought to herself as she was put on a stretcher and rolled through the front doors of the hospital.
A Lone Rifleman in Equestria
A Lone Rifleman in Equestria: Chapter 9
[Twelve hours after the events of chapter eight.]
“Ugh, what the hell happened?” Wolf thought to himself as he started to wake from his slumber, that he was placed in by Princess Luna when he was captured. He opened his eyes to see that he was in some kind of cell, mostly made of stone and when he tried to move he was unsuccessful with him being confounded by shackles and chains that had him connected to the stone wall, which it limited his movement to a minimal. As he looked around the cell it was mostly dark and the only light source was from what light came from beyond the locked steel barred door that was keeping him from leaving if he were to somehow get out of the shackles. To his dismay, but not surprised by it, Wolf had his equipment confiscated and was left with nothing but the clothing on his back. Not even since they only left him in his pants with taking his shirt, under shirt, belt, boots, hat, and dog tags. The most likely case being that to them they feared that Wolf could use those things to escape. Wolf saw shadows of Canterlot guards outside of the door, who were probably assigned to keep an eye on him and any other prisoner that was in this dungeon. Wolf took a few minutes to try to remember what happened that led him to be where he is now and it didn’t take long for him to remember what happened.
“... Son of a bitch.” Wolf said under his breath as he remembered what happened and how he foolishly allowed for him to get jumped by the Canterlot guards.
“After years of doing this shit, you allow this to happen? What kind of soldier am I?!” Wolf said as he continued to scold himself.
“Hey!! You shut up in there!!!” said a voice from the other end of the steel door who heard Wolfs scolding.
“Up yours!” Wolf replied
A unicorn guard approached his cell with a baton hovering above him.
“I said shut it, now!” the guard ordered.
“Why don’t you come in here and make me, dickhead.” replied Wolf which got the guard furious.
“You’re a dead son of a…” the guard said but was interrupted by another that ordered him to stand down. With a hint of dismay the unicorn complied to his orders and left the cell.
“You’ll be dealt with soon.” the guard told Wolf before leaving the cell door and back to the guard post that had the guards in a room that can overlook the dungeon and all the cells of that dungeon.
Wolf looked around to see if there were anything that he could use to help him get out of his shackles, but the cell was completely empty with only him and his chains in it. He checked the shackles and chains for any weaknesses that could have him be set free from those things that was keeping him confounded, but both of those things were in excellent condition and their was no way of getting out of them.
Wolf sat and waited for anything to happen, whether that be another guard coming to his cell and him picking a fight with that guard, or the thing that the one guard mentioned that was going to deal with him. He wondered if they were gonna not waste any time and just put him down like a old dog that was way past his due date but was still limping along with what little energy they have, or would they try to get some information out of him for the current conflict that was going on in Equestria. He dismissed that they would come in and have one be put in between his eyes since they would have already done that when they found him, and they wouldn’t have gone through all this trouble to keep a dead man confounded in chains.
After a few minutes of waiting, Wolf perked up when he heard the clopping of hooves on a stone surface that was coming outside of his cell, which was getting louder by the second. Somepony was coming to his cell and in a few seconds a group of ponies were at his cell door, they opened the cell door and four heavily armored guards, with three of them equipped with spears and one of them equipped with a baton. They were also using their magic to hold up their weapons since all four of them were unicorns. The four equestrian guards made their way into the dark cell and stood over Wolf with their weapons ready to be used if Wolf were to try anything against them that would provoke them to use their weapons on Wolf in an act of self defense.
“Get up and face the wall.” the guard with the baton ordered Wolf to do but to no success with receiving the middle finger from Wolf. Unfortunately to Wolf they had no idea what that meant, so the reaction Wolf was expecting was a major let down.
The guard got annoyed and hit Wolf with the baton across his face, causing Wolfs jaw to dislocate and the side of his face start to bleed from a cut that was made by the baton. Nearly losing consciousness, Wolf keeps himself awake and knowing that he dislocated his jaw he snaps it back into place easily. He looks at the guard angrily but does as he was commanded to do by the guard and stands up as well as face the wall. Two of the guards hold their spears up to Wolfs throat as one other guard takes the chains off of his shackles that has Wolf connected to the wall.
“Turn and walk towards the door.” the guard commands and Wolf complies with doing such, as he does this the two guards holding the spears to this throat follow and keep their spears on him. Wolf walks to the cell door and exits the cell with a group of guards standing there to secure him. The head guard walks past Wolf and the group of guards, the guards move out of the head guards way. The head guard looks at Wolf and explains that Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are wanting to see you in the main chamber, he also mentions that he has orders to use lethal force against Wolf if he were to try anything against anypony. When asked if Wolf will comply he simply just shakes his head in agreement.
“Very good, now follow me.” the head guard order with the response of compliance from Wolf as he did what he was told.
The head guard walks out of the dungeon with Wolf following him, the group of guards follow as well behind Wolf to be there if Wolf were to try anything. At this point the two guards that had their spears to Wolfs throat eased up and no longer had their spears to Wolfs throat.
As they walked, Wolf noticed of all the attention he was getting from everypony they passed by. Some were guards and the others looked to be servants/workers who work at the castle. Not being surprised by this and figured that that they would react the way they were to his presents, he continues on to the throne room, along with his escort.
After some more walking they finally made their way into the main throne where Wolf sees the alicorn from before and another sitting on a throne that had white fur and a symbol of a star above her head and built into the throne she was sitting on. She was also an alicorn like the other one that captured Wolf last night in the woods. To the alicorns left side was what looked like a commanding officer that had a distinctive uniform that had the male unicorn stand out from the rest of the guards that Wolf had seen. A group of ponies was standing at attention on the right side of the commanding officer in the red coat, and although they were wearing the same colors as the other guards, but had distinctive marking on their gear that made them stand out. Wolf was brought forth to the alicorn that was sitting on the throne and was placed on his knees in a kneeling position in front of the alicorn, from that the alicorn began to speak..
“So you’re the one that princess Twilight spoke about in her letter when you turned up in Ponyville with one of Equestria's children in your arms. I would like to thank you for saving Scootaloo from those timberwolves, according to the report from Twilight and Scootaloo when I sent somepony to questioned her about it. By the way she thanks you for finding and recovering her scooter in the Everfree Forest.” she explained to Wolf and with that he gave a small smirk from that last bit of information.
“I understand that you made a bit of trouble with Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, one that could have turned fatal for both of them. Tell me, why should I believe that you won’t do that again to any of my citizens?” she asked
“Your report that you mentioned must’ve missed the part where I told Twilight that I wouldn’t take action unless provoked. Pinkie Pie jumped on me and I reacted from that as a sign of aggression, as for Rainbow Dash, she attacked me when I was out hunting for food.”
“No, she did mention that and it’s the reason why we’re even having this discussion. A discussion that in the end I want to make you a deal.” she explained and had Wolf perk up with interest when she mentioned a deal.
“What kind of deal are we talking about?” he asked.
“The kind that puts your skills to work for us.”
“I want to send you and a group of my most trusted royal guards to infiltrate the Changeling hive to discover whatever they’re planning and if possible put down Queen Chrysalis, King Sombra, and lastly their lieutenants. In return you are free to live in Equestria as one of its own.” she explained. “I am also giving those that are coming with you on this quest the authority to use force against you if you’d try to do anything that would have you become hostile towards them.
“You would trust me to roam freely among your subjects?” Wolf asked.
“Yes, although for safety reasons we would keep an eye on you for the first few months to make sure that you’re not doing anything that would have me regret my decision of you living among the rest of us.”
“Makes sense, from where I am from we do the same thing. You gotta earn your keep and privileges when in somewhere new, like with me being the newcomer in Equestria.”
“I admit that I’d be interested in knowing more about your species and where you came from, as well I agree with anypony who is new to Equestria that comes here to live having to earn their keep and the privileges that Equestrian born citizens have. However all of that can wait. Do we have a deal?
“Hmm…. Well, it’s either agree to your proposal or go back to my cell where I would rot. Is that correct?”
“You wouldn’t really rot, but rather you’d be studied in ways that you’d wish you took the more friendlier option that has you become one of Equestria's children, as well with learn more about each other by our different cultures through beverage and cuisine.”
“I guess…. Did you say something about me getting the necessary things for this op that you’re sending me and a few others on?”
“That’s correct, what do you need?”
“First off, I want my stuff back. Secondly, I want a few stitches for the cut that “Equestria’s children” gave me before we arrived. Third and finally, I want to know which one of you is Princess Celestia and Princess Luna? Twilight and the swell guards mentioned those two and I am unsure as to which is who.” Wolf asked, with the response of a small chuckle from the alicorn who has been speaking with him this whole time.
“I am Princess Celestia, the high ruler of Equestria and it’s people. I am also the keeper to our sun who for the past century has lighten Equestria's valleys. This is my sister, Princess Luna. She rules along with me and the other sectors of Equestria that range from the Crystal Empire to Ponyville and it’s surrounding areas.” she explained
“I am also the keeper to our moon and like my sister, I have shadowed Equestria’s valleys with the peaceful night. I also watch over all of Equestria’s ponies in their dreams to ensure that sleep soundly and safely.” Princess Luna spoke up and explained to Wolf her role in Equestria.
“Damn, that’s pretty impressive.” Wolf commented.
“I am glad you’re intrigued, but like I said we can fulfill our curiosities later. We need to get down to business, I’ll see to it that you’re requests are met and those cuffs are taken off of you. You’re excused.” Celestia explained and she did as she promised with ordering the guards that had their spears to his throat to take the cuffs off of Wolf, which they did and were also ordered to take Wolf to a medical room that had would get him patched up.
“Let’s see how this plays out.” Wolf thought to himself as he walked out of the throne room with a more at ease escort.

[Twenty minutes after the events of chapter nine.]
“Alright, that should do it. You’ll be able to carry out your mission without any caution of reopening that wound. The magic in those stitches should close that wound within the hour.” explained the doctor as he finished up with patching up the gash that Wolf had on the side of his face.
“You ponies never cease to amaze me, thank you for your help doc.” said Wolf.
“Anytime, now if you’ll excuse me I have other matters to attend too.” said the doctor as he finished disposing of the used medical equipment and headed towards the exit from the clinic room that he operated in on Wolf.
After he left the room and Wolf got back on his feet, a guard came into the room to instruct Wolf.
“Follow me to your quarters.” the guard instructed and with that the two of them left the royal medical clinic and into the housing quarters of Canterlot castle, this being where the princesses and guests who would stay overnight at the castle be temporarily kept until their time of departure from the royal grounds. As they walked, Wolf spoke up to his now depleted escort.
“Hey, where did the rest of my escort go?” Wolf asked as they walked down the halls of the castle to their destination.
“As you were getting looked at, they were instructed new orders. I were assigned to stay with you for now.” the guard explained.
“What were those orders?” Wolf asked with despite having a good guess of what his answer would be, but felt like asking it anyway to make small talk with the guard.
“That’s none of your concern sir.” the guard replied.
“Still giving me the cold shoulder eh?” Wolf remarked.
“It’s not like that, we’re not permitted to reveal that kind of specific information. Especially to unknown individuals like yourself. It’s nothing personal, it’s just protocol.”
“I understand, you’re just being cautious.”
“Exactly.”
After some more walking the two make it to their destination.
“Here’s your quarters, it has everything including your confiscated belongings.”
“Thank you, one last thing before you leave. But where I am I supposed to meet up with everyone to go over my ops?”
“They’ll come to you.”
“I see, well thanks for everything. See you around.” Wolf said as he entered his room.
“You’re welcome.” replied the guard as he walked away.
Wolf took a few minutes to look around the nice room that they gave him for the time being, he was impressed by it as much that a man who has minimal interest in decor would be. After noticing the awful stench that came from him and his clothes, Wolf made his way into the bathroom for a shower. To his surprise the bathroom also came equipped with a washing machine for his disposal, after undressing and starting the shower. He stepped into it to clean himself from his current filthy state.
After an hour of cleaning himself up and letting the washing machine do it’s thing with washing his clothes, he got himself dressed and took a moment to rest. Wolf took his weapons to the kitchen table and had a seat with the intentions of cleaning though his weapons.”
“There’s nothing like tending to your C14, especially when it has these kinds of upgrades to her. Our enemies never stood a chance.” Wolf thought and chuckled to himself as he carefully cleaned the parts to his rifle, with spending extra care and attention to the special modifications that were part of his rifle. Wolf did the same with his colt 1911, but cleaning tending to it took less time than it did with the C14, due to it having lesser parts to clean and no special modifications to it that would need extra care when cleaning. After he was finished with tending to his rifle and sidearm, Wolf decided to go take a nap so that he could be completely ready for his op. He slept for a good while till he heard a knock on his door. He awoke and noticed that it was around noon with how the sun had lowered since he had last seen it, before he went to sleep for his nap. After a moment's pause whoever it was that was behind that door continued to knock at the door.
“Alright, I heard you the first time! Give me a minute!” Wolf called out to whoever it was that kept knocking on his door.
Wolf got up and put on his pants and undershirt, that he had previously taken off, and made his way to the door. He unlocked it and opened it to see that one of the armored guards from before was standing out on his doorway.
“Greetings, You’re to come with me at once for the debrief.” said the armored guard who had a deep male voice.
“Alright, just give me a moment and I’ll be out in a minute.” said Wolf who after getting a nod from the guard went to go retrieve his equipment that he’ll need in this upcoming mission.
After getting his equipment, Wolf followed the armored guard to wherever they were gonna be meeting up with the rest of the team. After a while of walking they made it to a small armory where the other armored ponies from before were looking over some crossbows, swords, and pieces of armor that Wolf assumed to be there’s. They weren’t wearing their helmets and as a result, Wolf could see what they actually looked like. The first one he noticed was a male colt who had a white coat of fur, blue and slightly purple mane/tail, and orange eyes. The second one was also a male colt, but was a Pegasus. The Pegasus had a grey coat of fur, a white mane/tail, and yellow eyes. The third was a female mare that just so happened to be a Pegasus. The had a similar look to the first guard with the white fur, but it had a blue mane/tail, and had light blue eyes.
“Well look at what the private dragged in.” The third one said as she noticed Wolf and his escort enter the room.
“Can it Violet Rain.” said the first one with a serious tone. Violet Rain grudgingly complied and went back to what she was previously doing.
“I’ll be taking my leave.” said the armored guard and with that he left the room.
“So you must be Wolf?” asked the first one who stood from his seated position.
“That’s right, it’s good to meet you.” Wolf said as he extended his hand for a handshake.
“Likewise, I’m Solar Metal. The loudmouth with the wings is Violet Rain, and the one with the horn is my brother, Midnight steel.” said Solar Metal as he introduced everypony else to Wolf and ignored the glare that he got from Violet for that loudmouth comment They all greeted each other and wasted no time in getting down to business. Solar Metal laid out a map on a table that was on the opposite side of the room.
“Alright everypony, our objective is believed to be here.’” said Solar Metal as he pointed towards an area that was connected to the north eastern end of the large Everfree Forest and towards the mountains of the north east
“We’ll take this trail that our scouts had marked out for us that are along the bases of the mountain side and the Everfree Forest, by doing that we’ll be able to see clearly and if we spot anything the forest is right there for us to take cover in. We will also be taking a Pegasus carriage to the path, from that point on we walk.” explained Solar Steel as he pointed towards a marked path on the map and how they will be traveling to their objective.
“Why don’t we just take a carriage to the changeling hive?” Violet Rain asked while interrupting Solar Steel from his debrief.
“It’s so that we don’t get spotted, from the air, by any possible enemy targets.” Solar Steel explained with a hint of annoyance from his fellow pony in arms that had just interrupted his debrief.
“When we get within surveillance range of the changeling hive, we’ll observe the area for any weak spots and move forward from there.” Solar Steel finished explaining, and with that the group collected their equipment and made their way out of the palace.
Eventually the group made their way to some sort of pad that had carriages and other Equestrian military equipment on the premises. A carriage was waiting for them and after they loaded their equipment in a trunk like component in the back of the carriage, the group took their seats within the carriage. Despite having to have his head down, due to the small space that he was in, Wolf was able to take a seat with his new team, and after everything was situated they took off to their destination.
After half an hour of flying in a crammed carriage, those occupying that carriage made it to their destination. They unloaded themselves and their equipment from the carriage, and began the walk to the hive.
“So Wolf, how long do you think this walk will take us?” asked Violet Rains.
“For as long as it takes us, kid.” responded Wolf.
“I’m no kid, I assure you of that.” snapped Violet Rains.
“We’ll see about that in the upcoming hours.” Wolf calmly replied.
“I suppose we shall.” said a slightly ticked off Violet Rain, who turned back to the trail they were on, abandoning any chance for small talk with Wolf, who she thought was a bit of a douche at this point, despite his polite nature that he had demonstrated in the small amount of time that they had known each other.

A Lone Rifleman in Equestria: Chapter 3
[40 minutes after the events of chapter 2]
*sigh* “What kind of shit have I gotten myself into?” I thought to myself, while walking along a path that I found with an injured little pony in my arms, who managed to fall asleep a while ago after me and her had a lengthy chat about myths from my world. She seemed really interested in them, and especially about the myths that I told her about Greek mythology. She got tired, probably due to the stressful day and her body needing the rest to get energy for the injured leg, and fell asleep in my arms. Lucky for the both of us, I had steady arms from my years of marksmanship, so she slept peacefully, while her broken leg managed to stay still and relax enough that it wouldn’t bother her as she slept.
After a few hours of walking through the woods, I came to a clearing that had railroad tracks going down a cleared path. Thank god, because I lost sight of that castle on the side of the mountain a while ago. It became cloudy, and I feared that it would start to rain, but that never happened. What was strange however, was that one moment it was clear skies, the next it was all cloudy and looking like it was gonna rain. Either the weather pattern in this place is much different and faster from the one back at home, or it could be that my eyes were playing tricks on me. I’ve been in countries that has had different weather patterns like the Soviet Union, Greece, Afghanistan, Rwanda, Africa, and many other places that had weird weather patterns, but this was different. It didn’t matter though, as I heard a little groan come from under my nose. When I looked down, I saw Scootaloo rubbing her eyes, and yawning.
“Ugh… Hey wolf, where are we?” Scootaloo ask, while collecting herself from her slumber.
“We’re still not out of the woods yet, but soon we will be. This railroad should lead us back to civilization in no time.” I responded, while nodding towards the railroad in front of us.
[Wolf Starts to walk to the left direction, while walking next to the railroad, but within reach of the treeline that surrounds the railroad.]
“Hey wolf, can you maybe tell me more about that story with Hercules?” Scootaloo asked, with a wondering look on her face that nobody could resist, unless you had no heart or soul.
“Sure, kid. Do you remember where I left off?” I asked, to see if she remembered where I left off in the story that I was telling her earlier, before she went to sleep, and to see if she was paying attention to when I was telling her the story. I use this same technique on new recruits in boot camp, whenever I’m assigned to give lessons, and this is a technique that I learned for my father at a young age. It worked on me, and it surprisingly worked on everyone that I have used it on so far.
“Umm……. Yeah, you were at the part where Hercules meets that satyr fellow…. Phil, I think it was.”
“Ah yes, the trainer of heroes.”
“Well, after some convincing from Hercules. He eventually gets Phil to train him, and he eventually he becomes a great fighter, while putting his godlike strength to proper use, instead of destroying half a shopping center.” I explain to her, while also paying attention to where the railroad is leading us.
[40 minutes later of explaining the plot of disney's Hercules and basically keeping Scootaloo amused.]
“Wow! I can’t believe Hercules managed to fight off all those monsters that Hades sent after him.” said a interested Scootaloo, while trying to imagine the story that was being told to her in her head.
“Yeah, it takes a lot of skill and luck to achieve some of the things that Hercules managed to achieve in his time…. Well then again, he had a godlike powers, and support from the gods to help in those situations. I added onto Scootaloo’s comment.
After a few more minutes of walking and telling stories, we stumbled onto a what looked like a train station. After getting closer to that train station, I noticed quite a few houses that looked like it would be some kind of small town.
“Oh my Celestia! We made it back to Ponyville!” shouted Scootaloo, who caught me off guard.
“You know this place, Scootaloo?” I asked.
“ Yeah, I live here.” Scootaloo responded.
“Hmm, well that’s good enough for me.” I said, while taking off towards the town.
I managed to get to get close enough to the town, and it didn’t take long for the residence to notice me. I stopped, and just stood their with Scootaloo in my arms. I knew that one of their ponies in my arms, and injured would automatically make me the prime suspect, so I knew that I had to look as nonthreatening as possible. A group of ponies formed, some looked like to be civilians, while others looked like military personnel with spears and glowing horns that would be ready to fire at a moments notice if commanded too. I heard a few whispers from the ponies, but we didn’t exchange any words just yet, we were both seeing/waiting for either one of us to make the first move. All of us standing here wasn’t getting us anywhere, so I decided to make the first move and break the silence.
“Scootaloo has a broken leg, and needs some medical attention as soon as possible! I didn’t hurt her, and I won’t hurt any... pony, unless I’m attacked!” I shouted across to the mass of ponies, who were shocked to see that I spoke their tongue. Another moment passed, until a flash of purple light caught me off guard, which nearly had me lose my balance.
That sudden jerk also made Scootaloo gasp in pain and favor her leg. I looked back to where that flash of light came from, and to my surprise, a purple unicorn with wings stood there with a serious poker face, probably to intimidate me or something like that.
“Who, and what happened to Scootaloo?” she asked, while standing her ground. Her voice sounded to be female, so I’d assume that she is.
“My name is Wolf, and I found her being attacked by a pack of timberwolves. I saved her before those wolves could have made a meal out of her.” I responded, which probably made Scootaloo embarrassed, but that didn’t matter that this point.
“I see.” she responded, while waving over two ponies that looked like to be doctors that had a stretcher with them that one of them, who was a unicorn, was pushing with it’s magic. They stopped next to the purple unicorn, and pushed the stretcher towards me and Scootaloo.
“Okay, Wolf! Put Scootaloo on the stretcher!” the purple unicorn shouted.
I did as I was told, and gently place Scootaloo on the stretcher, while also not taking my eyes off the ponies who were across from me. After I made sure that Scootaloo was secured, I waved over to the ponies that then brought Scootaloo back to their side. After they quickly checked Scootaloo over, they rushed her away, leaving the standoff between me and the ponies.
“Wolf! If you have any weapons on you, surrender them now!” ordered the purple unicorn.
I thought for a second, until I did as what was ordered and placed my weapons on the ground, except for a small knife that I kept in my boot for situations like this. I backed away, and the purple unicorn used her magic to levitate my weapons over to her. She inspected my sniper rifle and M1911 pistol, before giving them to another unicorn that took them away somewhere that I pray to god I can break into if I it comes to that.
I was about to say something, but I was caught off from the purple unicorn who had her horn glow. I didn’t know what to expect, but I got myself ready to make a break for it into the woods. After a moment, the glow faded away, and nothing seemed to have happened, that is until the purple unicorn started to speak again.
“Wolf! I said all weapons! I will use force on you if you do not comply.” she barked at me, catching me off guard of how she knew of my knife that I had in my boot. I thought, and basically decided it would be best to not call her bluff if she was even bluffing in the first place. I took out my small knife from my boot, and threw it on my ground. With that, the purple unicorn and some guards started to approach me with spears pointed at me and still on the defensive. As they approached me, I could see that the purple unicorn had wings for some odd reason.
They approached me, and the guards surrounded me to not give me any room of escape. The purple unicorn took a moment to get a good look at me, until she spoke up. “Well.. You are most certainly a strange creature, aren’t you? ”
“Like I told Scootaloo, I could say the same about every single one of you. Especially you Mrs.”
“Hey! You don’t talk to the princess like that, freak!” shouted one of the guards, but was waved off by the purple unicorn who was apparently apart of royalty.
“Stand down corporal, I’ll handle this.” said Twilight, who when she said that made me think of the gunner that was in the helicopter with me, before we were shot down.
“Apologies for that, Wolf. We’ve been having it crazy for the past couple of days, which has resulted in every pony being on edge.” explained Twilight, who now seemed for relaxed and not as tensed up from when she first saw me and I saw her.
“ It’s alright, but before you ask me the countless amounts of questions that you probably have for me, would be so kind to as tell me your name?” I asked in a polite tone in order to get her to remain the relaxed state that she and her troops were now in. It seemed to work, as with her managing to crack a small grin at what I just said.
“Fair enough. my name’s Twilight Sparkle, The Princess of Magic.” she said in a proud tone, while sticking her hoof out for a hand, or hoof, shake.
‘Geez, that sounds kinda lame to be the prince or princess of something’ I thought to myself, but just nodded and shaked her hoof.
“Now then, let’s see if we can get you some food and water. You seem like you could need it, and we can talk about where exactly you came from while you recover.” she said with a reassuring smile.
“That’s very kind of you Twilight, I appreciate it.” I thanked her for the hospitality that was coming my way, according to her.
“Good, then let’s be off.” she said while turning around while starting to trot back into town. However as we walked, she spoke from behind her back.
“Oh and Wolf, I wasn’t kidding on force against you if you try anything against me or any other pony.” she reminded me.
“Well I hope you weren’t hoping to use that ‘force’ of yours against me, because like I said before, I won’t hurt anyone unless I’m provoked, or attacked.” I reminded her.
she didn’t respond, and I got a few angry grunts from the guard ponies that were walking with us back to wherever we were going. I remember that shameful feeling from boot camp of having to obey and basically be the instructors bitch, but I could never imagine on how it would be like to constantly have to kiss royalties ass 24/7, and from what I’ve seen so far is that’s the exact thing that these guards must do on a daily basis. They have my pity.
