Chapters ???? POV
Luna rises the moon and now it's my shift along with many other night guards. I walk past the Day guards and they glare at me like always, they don't really like night guards because we have cooler armor and color and we can see in the dark they don't like me and personally I don't like them ether, so at least we're on the same page, I mean I don't hate all of them but Most day guards are very narcissistic and usually push they're weight around a lot. and as I walk past a few right now and they shoot glares at me and I just glare back but ... I see one who looks away from me when I look at him.
He looks to be blushing but I can't tell past his armor, and he's missing a hoof shoe...Oh and most of them are idiotic to, but he seems to be different, because I don't see a narcissist when I look at him. I see a pretty shy stallion...he has a pretty nice flank to- wait what? No! stop thinking those thoughts!! Ugh, if there's one thing that's bad it's that, being homosexual is one horrible and two feeling that way toward and day time guard.
We're suppost to hate each other...Right? Ugh I don't even know anymore, but what I do know is that the Princesses are trying to clear all that up, they very much what the homophobia to stop in equestria but that might be impossible considering no one really takes what they say seriously. "NightAxe!" I hear the royal voice of princess Luna "will thou help me put up these Lavender flowers." She asks me as she levitates a whole bunch of lavender flowers to me, she's still a young princess and her magic can only reach so high.
"Oh course my princess" I say flying up and line the roof line with lavender flowers "Why do you do this again?" I ask her.
" I dost this so nay pony will yea any nightmare in the castle" she says smiling at me, she's a very pretty princess but once again a young one.
"Well I'll see you princess" I say and bow and walk off.
"Goodbye hast a pleasant night" she says opening the throne room.
"She may not be able to reach the roof but she can still rise the moon." I say while walking to my post but not before grabbing my axe and I stand in place.

Oh thank Luna "HALT!! WHO GOES THERE!?" I yell readying my axe for attack, and I see a morning guard, and it was the guard that was looking away from me "What th- what are you doing here?" I say lowering my axe.
"I uh...forgot my hoof shoe hehehe" he says showing his hoof, his pure white coat being shining in the moon light and his eyes a beautiful sky blu- UGH!! NIGHTAXE GET A GRIP!
" uh, okay well retrieve it." I say stepping aside, but he stands there looking timid. "Well?"
I say to him and he looks at me and says "I'm uh...Can you go with me?" He says and I hold back laughing.
"What afraid of the dark?" I says showing off my fangs.
"Uh no! I just uh, it's hard to see and you can see in the dark right s-so yeah....please?"
He says and okay you know what, fuck it, who the hell can say no to that face, "Alright, but stay out of the shadows" I say walking into the castle.
"B-but it's all a shadow!" He says I hear his voice trembling.
"Exactly..." I say as he slowly walks into the dark castle.
"A-a-all Right...I-I can do this, I-I'll be fine" he says clearly terrified.
"yeah..." I say fallowing behind him, and I had to catch my self staring at his flank every 5 seconds or so, jeez, why did it have to be plump!!
"Did you find it yet?" I ask.
"I think so...oh here it is" he says bending down, and okay come on I have no where else to look, he has a really nice flank okay! I give. He turns around with a adorable smile and says with victory in his voice.
"found it!" He puts out his hoof to show his hoof shoe.
"Yeah, g-great that awesome...can you go now?" I say looking away.
"Uh yeah...My name is Light Spear by the way" he says walking past me.
"...Dark Axe..." I say, watching him walk off...My heart is pounding...
Next day
Luna lowers the moon and celestia rises the sun and now it's time for me to get off my shift and I can finally sleep and I bump into a a stray filly.
"Oof! Oh i-I'm sorry" I see a pink young Pegasus with a rainbow like mane and pony tail timidly backs away from me.
"I-its *yawn* fine kid...What are you doing here?" I ask the young mare.
"I'm Just wandering..." she says looking behind her.
"that's great kid..." I say really tired.
"Oh! I'm mi Amore Candenza by the way, Celestia's adoptive niece." she says, wow Celestia has a niece huh? "So are you a royal guard? Your armor tells me that your a night gaurd, Is the night scary? Did you ever fight anypony? Did you ever arrest a pony?" She asks question after question and now my head hurts.
"yes ,yes, yes ,no ,no and yes..." I answer to her.
"wow.Are they're any day guards around yet?" She ask "I don't *yawn* know kid, but I uh...guess I see ya later" that filly must've been around 16 or so.
Later...
I finally make it to my room in the guard dormitory and I fly up and wrap my tail around a the pole and I hang upside down and let myself fall asleep in the darkness of my HQ, and....let's just say most of my dreams aren't pleasant.
I just see a bunch of flashes of what seem to be memories, but I don't recall them happening and they all involve, that stallion,
I think me and him will be good friends
LightSpear POV
I watch Celestia lower the sun and as it goes down my friend spearhorn teleports away, ugh, now I have to walk with everyone else and they're all so mean. As we're walking we see a night guard, the night guard I uh...have a bit of a crush on, he's just very handsome. Oh my gosh! I think I'm blushing I have to look away.
okay he's looking at me now, his dark green eyes are piercing my soul, and I love it. His eyes just make him so much more handsome than most of the day guards, which would probably hurt they're ego if I told them I didn't find them attractive, because straight ponies can't get their shit straight and think any gay pony wants to fuck them apon seeing them.

My Celestia He's pretty damn handsome and that pur-...Turquoise? Armor makes him look bad ass wow...that sounded like a teenage filly talking about her crush, I wish I had that luxury but all of equestria is extremely homophobic, I always hear about teen stallions getting kicked out of their homes, like I was by my father....My mother just watched as he beat me and threw me out, and now that I'm a guard and making more bits then my dad makes in a year, they all of a sudden love me again.
I walk out of the castle and I found out I'm missing a hoof shoe, and wanna know how?...I stepped on a Celestia forsaken rock, and that hurt like a fucking bitch! Everything about being a guard is a fucking bitch.
Now I have to go all the way back to that stupid castle, in the stupid dark and in the stupi- and I'm already scared....the castle looks absolutely terrifying at night. But I am like so not afraid of the dark.
Okay I just need to walk in there grab my stupid hoof shoe and I make a bush rustle because of course it fucking does why would it not. Why would I be able to just walk near the damn castle, without triggering some hot ass sexy ass perfect stallion guards. okay You get it I'm gay! Fight me!
"HALT!! WHO GOES THERE!!" I hear a night guard yell, because of course there's a guard.
I walk over exposing myself to him. "Hi...You" I don't know his Celestdamn name. Anyway he lowers his axe, because apperently thats what bat pony guards use as weapons, I don't fucking know or care really.
"What are you doing here?" He says squinting his eyes,
"I uh...Forgot my Hoof shoe." I show him my shoeless hoof.
He snickered at me, and stepped aside....shit it looks dark in there.
"Well?...Aren't you gonna go in?" He
"Yes...but uh, think you can come with me?"
"Why? Afraid of the dark?" He says showing his fang.
This bitch really wants me to punch him in the fucking jaw!!
"No! I just uh, I can't see in the dark, and your a bat pony so, I assume you can." I say and he just turns around and says "whatever let's go get your shoe." He says.

After we finally fine my shoe, I put it on my hoof, I thank him and give him my name because why the fuck not, it's light spear by the way, if you didn't already know.
His name is DarkAxe...that's kinda bad ass but still a pretty stupid name.
Next Day
Well it's morning. Now my hell is about to begin, I feel my legs move on auto pilot.
I get myself ready, put on my armor and my helmet and I somehow feel like looking at myself in this armor just gives my ego and dangerous boost, but of course I look at my parents picture....I hate them...just like they hate me. That's just it, so fuck them.
I'm walk of my dorm and head to the castle my spear in my hooves and I see this little unicorn filly running around and it seems she talked to some night guard.
"Hello! Are you another guard?" She asks me.
"Yup!" I say being proud of what I am.
"So your a day guard...Do you only wear Yellow?" She asks knocking on my armor.
"Well yeah little missy, Yellow is the color of the sun so It only makes sense." I explain to her.
"Wow...Sounds very typical!" She says smiling.
Typical!! Does this little- okay...does she think I have a choice to where this? "Well you know maybe a knight in Shining Armor like this." I say to her.
Since she need to understand how hard we work! "Really?! A knight in Shining Armor...I wonder is he'll be handsome." She says day dreaming about her night in shining Armor. "Oh yeah, my name is Mi Amore Cadenza but I like being called Cadence!...Maybe I should've told that other guard." She says looking back.
"Oh well I'm LightSpear."
"Why do all guards have names involving spears and Axes?" She ask me.
"That wasn't always my name, but it was when I got my cutie mark." I say.
"Well okay then, I'll see you later! Bye!" She's trots off.
"Ugh, Foals" I say walking forward to the mess hall and I take a apple in my hoof, and I was about to take a bite but then I remembered...That night guard, does he ever eat?
I take the big apple in my mouth being careful not to put teeth marks in it, to my room and I wrote a note.
I know Dark's room is here, his Cutie sign is there.

DarkAxe's POV
Two days later
I'm eating the apple LightSpear gave me and he's right this is very hungry work. The reason I haven't eaten it till now is because I felt somewhat guilty about eating it.
But I mean it's just a dumb apple right?
He's actually really cool, we've only ever hung out when my shift ended and his shift was begin or vise Virsa. We just talked about how boring being guard is and what we would really like to do in the future, I figured out he wants to move to Ponyville and I don't really know why, it's a pretty boring village but I mean, beats being a guard right?
I should get him a apple to right? Just to give him something back to say thanks.
It's only right...Ugh I'm trying to give myself something to think about, other than that horrifying dream I had.
Why was he dead? Or maybe just injured your something, it's giving me a headache to think about it.
I sigh and decide to have a little walk around the Castle, mostly because one I'd technically be patrolling the exterior of the castle and Id be able to clear my head, so I start just walk around, feeling the night time in my soul....it's very peaceful.
As I walk around I hear what sound like heavy breathing... painful sounding breathing, like somepony is holding on to life.
Somepony must've gotten hurt.
I trot over to where the breathing is coming from and to my horror.....It's LightSpear...
"MEDIC NEEDED WE HAVE WOUNDED!!" I burst into the castle doors and two guards noticed and heard me loud and clear. And they nob and the unicorn canters and the bat pony flies along side with him.
I fly back to LightSpear, and he's still breathing thank Celestia.
What the hell happened to him?! He's a guard! Guards have the best combat training, and he looks like he could take on 3 ponies if they'd try to mess with him...but he looks so beat up...
He has bruises everywhere...and his left wing looks badly twisted, probably broken, and he seems to have been cut up pretty badly a pretty bad cut on his left cheek...his armor is lying near him but it's not on him.
Why would his armor be off?
Oh Celestia I hope he's okay....
"We got a medi- oh my...Celestia..." she says looking down at LightSpear in shock.
"Jeez...That's a lot of blood." One of them says as the medic walks between them over to light spear.
She examines him and she turns to the two guards, "Get the gurney...I'll do what I can with what I have, but we need to get him to the medics station fast, now go!" She says sturnly to the two guards.
They nod and go back into the castle to retrieve the gurney.
" And you!" She says pointing her hoofs at me "How do you know this Stallion." She ask her horn levitating a stephicope to her ears and attaches the hearing end to his chest.
" I uh...met him yesterday and as embarrassing as it is, I met him when I had to help him find his hood shoe in the dark"
"Wow that is embarrassing." She puts the ...Heart listening thingy to his heart I don't know what it is!! "His heart is beating pretty fast...he must still be in shock of what happened." She says levitating bandages
"So what happened?" She asks me.
"I uh...don't really know, I just...Found him like this.." I say and she looks at me with a accusing look.
"I-I didn't do this I swear on Celestias mane!" I says backing away from the possible dangerous Nurse.
"Hmph, well see when he wakes up." She says as the two guard return with the gurney and I help lift his body into it, as me and the other bat ponies fly him to the Medical station.
"..." he just keeps breathing in and out slowly... I hope he'll wake up soon...I want to know who hurt him so I can do worst...But what could I do to somepony that did something this to a full grown stallion, a guards pony at that.
We're suppost to have extremely good combat ablilies...What ever got to him must be pretty strong.
"Mr.Axe?" I hear the nurse say.
"Yeah?"
"I have some pretty bad news for you."
"What is it?"
"Through examining his body, I discovered he had a pretty deep stab wound and he lost quite a lot of blood...He's lucky to be alive, you stay here I have to get his medical records." She walks out of the medical room.
"mmmmph..." I hear him make a noise as his eyes twitch slightly.
"light spear?...Hey are you okay?" I says as I shake him slightly and he jumps and started screaming at me.
"NO!! GET AWAY FROM ME!!!" He says backing away but then noticing it was me and saw that he was in the medical room...and that he's in a lot of pain. "Ow huh?...where?...Where am I?" He says looking left and right then at me.
"oh it's you.." he says looking away.
"Yup, the nurse is gonna be back soon...When I found you, you were pretty beat up." I said, and that's probably very obvious.
" yeah...I know..." he says as he turns to me.
"So mind telling me what happened?" I asked him.
"None of your business!" He says getting pretty defensive, so much for shy.
"That's not nice to say to somepony who saved your life." I say sheepishly.
"I would've been fine!" He says trying to raise his wings but the one with the cast and make him flop back down on his flank.
"I beg to differ." I say smirking.
"....hmph." He pouts and looks away from me.
"...I just want to know because your a pretty big pony, and I want to know who's strong enough to take on a Big stallion like you."
"...I didn't know who they were...But they were strong, I couldn't even hit back, I could only block until my forelegs got to cut up to even move..." he says looking at his hooves, and I see his eyes begin to form tears.
"...a-and...it happened so fast and...All the blows and cuts kept coming and coming."
"Hey" I put a hoof on his shoulder, "I've heard enough, don't put yourself through the whole thing again."
"Y-yeah...It was really scary..."
"I'm back with LightSpears condition." The doctor says as her yellow magic aura surrounds and levitated check board.
LightSpear whips his tears, and looks at the doctor, "How is he doc." I ask as he sits down on his belly, not wanting to put anymore pressure on his soar forelegs.
"Well he has a broken wing but it will be back in flying shape in 3 months, his cuts are fine and his bruises should be gone by a month and 2 weeks, and the stab wound will heal with due time it may depend on how you treat yourself, now...You" She says walking in front of me.
"Take him to his room." She said to me.
"What!?" Me and light say in unison.
"Look ma'am I'm fine, I don't need to be excorted by any pony." He says trying to stand but he wabbles.
"See? You can barey stand without wabbling, I'm sorry but you have to have somepony with you." She says as she walks out leaving the check board on the table and she keeps the door open.
"...Shall we?" I say to LightSpear.
"...Let's just hurry." he says starting to limp out of the room.
"As you wish." I say walking right behind him.
Thing is...This whole thing that just happened was just a dream to me...but now.

DarkAxe's POV
Okay, I need to calm down.
I walk down the hall of the dormitory, the silence makes my beating heart sound louder than a Hammer hitting a piece of wood.
I just had the most traumatizing night in my whole guardsmen career. I've seen so much worse but for some reason this was.
This was the worst thing that happened...Why? He's just a day guard right? Nothing more nothing less right? Ugh son of a carroit stick!!! I'm giving myself a headache!

But why? For Luna's sake why do I care about this guy so much?
I walk out of the guards dorms and I walk back to my post trying not to look at LightSpears blood puddle.
And I stand at my post again, holding a emotionless stare. But I'm still thinking...this is something I'm gonna be asking a lot, but I think theirs a reason that I want to refuse to believe because it can't be, I'm not gonna be a....a....coltCuddler.

"yes...I did." She said looking at her hooves.
"And you just watched it happen?!" Im starting to get angry at this bitch.

I fly up to her, "Why didn't you do Anything about?!" I point my hoof at her.
"I didn't want to get my hooves dirty." She says looking at me with a cold stare, everything about this mare is just...cold
"Also, there were 4 of them, I was out numbered..." she say jump down from where was was standing, onto the floor.
"Four...H-he said there was one!"
"Well...They all looked identical...Very identical."
"Plus...why would I do that for a pony I don't even know." She says looking back at me.
"...Yeah, I would've." I say landing behind her.
"Now why is that DarkAxe?...What makes him so special? You've only known him for 2 days." She says walking towards me.

"...Who, who did this to him?" I ask her being Luna in my head that she would tell me.
"...His fellow Day guard of course." She says walking around me and she's cirlcing me, like a preditor does their pray.
"Why?...Why would they do that?" I say my head fallowing her as she cirlcles me.
"Because...He's suspected to be a ColtCuddler."
I feel my mind going into panic mode, suspected? That's all it takes now? Being supected can get you beaten to a bloody pulp? For they know he could have a wife and a kid!
"Oh did I say suspect?...They know he's a coltCuddler." She says looking right at me.
"W-wait what?"
"Here maybe this will give you some clarification."
She levitates a Journal to me with her purple arua surrounding it.

I turn the pages to where she says and what I read makes me feel...weird.

Today I lost my hoof shoe again but instead of sneaking into the castle like I usually do, but instead I met this Very handsome bat pony; I don't usually write about the stallion I see here in canterlot considering all of them are indeed very handsome, but this stallion makes me feel different; I don't know what it is about him but, it's just very different with him. I just hope no one reads this, I sound like a teenage filly writing about her crush; well maybe I do have a crush on him; he is really handsome and nice and does care about me, hopefully I'll fall out of this one sided love.
I feel my cheeks heat up, alright yeah I'm blushing, but I feel like anypony would...Or to any homophobic pony...Disgusted but I don't think it is, everything he says is very flattering to say the least...He thinks I'm handsome huh?
"You're blushing..." she says looking at me with a very very very very very very very slight smile.

A straight stallion would've stared as the female guards walk by, and straight stallion wouldn't turn down every mare that makes a move on them; and straight stallion especially a guard would've jumped at the chance to take advantage of a poor drunk mare who's lonely and wants a one night love delusion. A straight stallion would've been disgusted with what you read in that journal...But you...You stared at his flank. You never turned down a chance to walk with him before and even after your shift, and you say your always tired...When I see you with him I don't see a tired stallion...I see a stallion who wants to spend time with somepony they really really like." She says flipping her hair.
Luna This girl is good...She made several really good points, every mare that asks me out I usually turn them down. I can esspecially agree with what she said about the drunk mare thing...Most of the guards do take advantage of Drunk mares, I couldn't imagine doing that to anypony; especially LightSpear...
"So tell me DarkAxe...Are you gonna continue to delude yourself into thinking your straight or are you gonna be a real stallion and realize the truth..." she puts her hoof to my chest her eyes showing ether anger or sadness; maybe both.
Maybe she's right, maybe I am Deluding myself... It takes a real Stallion to know the truth and accept huh?
I look at the blood puddle LightSpear was in...A reminder that I could've lost him, even thought he isn't mine to lose...But I want him to be.

"Are you sure this is gonna work?"
"Relax, this spell is suppose to heal right away, so don't worry. Plus I asked the doctor if a healing spell would work and she said it's worth trying, so don't worry!" My friend SeaSong says as she reads a healing spell, SeaSong is my childhood friend who does know my secret and she was also very supportive like Star Spear.
She goes to Celestia school for gifted Unicorns and she's one of the best in the class beside her other friend who's name I forget, anyway we're in the library and it's pretty big, there's a sun Dial that says it's 11:58
"Okay now stay very still." Her horn starts to glow, and she points it towards my wing.
I close my eyes, ready for the worst...I feel my wing muscle feel a lot better, actually...it doesn't ache at all anymore.
"Alright...I'm gonna take off your cast." I see her magical aura surround my cast as she slowly takes it off.
I flex my wing and it feels completely fine. "WAHOOO!! I DID IT I DID IT I DID IT!!" She starts jump up and down in excitement, and everyone in the library Shush her for being too loud.
"Wow, So you did, thanks a lot SeaSong." I say getting ready to begin flying, "This I should give flying a shot?" I ask her.
"Yes! I wanna see if it really really worked!" She says.
"Okay, here goes Nothing!" I jump and my wings flap and I start to fly, my wings are...okay I can't say completely healed, I should probably get the Doctor to give me the okay.
But I'll probably be trapped in there for the whole day, and I have the day off, I'm gonna spend this whole day relaxing, sure I still do have a few cuts and bruises but I'll manage.
"So Light...Star told me about a stallion you were talking to last night~" she says with a devious smile.
"Ugh he's...Nopony." I say, knowing what I'm saying is true, because he can't be.
"Aww come on Light Lighten up, No pun intented tee hee hee!" She says giggling in her hoof.
"Look SeaSong yes I do 'Like' him." I feel a disgusted glare from behind me but SeaSong glares at them harder.
"...Okay continue." She say getting comfy,
"Ugh, I do like him but...But He's probably with some Lucky mare who doesn't deserve him." I say knowing that it's probably true and it hurts me, I wish it didn't, I should be happy for him right?

"Yeah I stayed up Very late... I think It's about midnight in my time zone right now I think." He says looking at the indoor sun Dial, "Yup." He says looking at me, I can tell he's pretty tired. I also just noticed he's not wearing his Armor...Holy cow he's he's a big stallion.
"Please tell me this is the Stallion you have a crus-" I covered her mouth with my hoof so fast it would've been a sonic rainboom,
"Ahahahaha, You'll have to excuse her she's uh... a little crazy hehehe." I say glaring at her but she keeps gazing at his glorious armorless body.
"I uh *yawn* just wanted to know if your free at 5:50." He says yawni- wait a minute is he?...Pfft no no way there's no way he's asking me out he probably just want to hang out somewhere else beside those stupid hall ways.
"Uh no nothing at all...Why is that when you wake up?" I ask.
"Well usually but I might sleep in a bit...I have tonight off, and it seem you have the Day off." He says pointing a hoof at my friend.
She waves at him with a goofy smile, "Uh yeah I do, mostly because of the wing." I'm probably blushing, and it's probably very very obvious, I have a white coat.
"Well then I'll *yawn* see you at five." He takes off and I feel myself melt to the floor.

Well this is just perfect! I just asked him...Out...okay that sounds strangely good in my head.
I love the feeling I'm having right now, it's a feeling of Joy and Nervousness and something else and I don't know what it is!

I go into my dorm and I see the Light's journal, I should probably return it huh...Luna Dammit...
I walk to his dorm and luckily it's thinner than the bottom of his door and I push it under.
I go back to my dorm get into my sleep position and let my self hang and I slowly but surly fall asleep...
I have another very 'pleasant dream'.
This time it was me and him...But actually no blood just me and him in a picture smiling and being happy, aw gee I hope that's us in the future...I'd give anything to Make light happy...Jeez I've only known this Stallion for 3 days and I'm heads over hooves for him.

I wonder where he is...I mean it's not late but still...I wonder if he's getting ready, or something, I mean why would he this isn't a date right?

I was home with my Mama and we were just talking about memories when I was younger. My Tatâ was coming home late, he usually does and he's always very Drunk or just tipsy.

But when I saw her knocked out I became so much more...Stronger! I was so done with this monster! I was so done with his Bullshit!! So I gathers all my strangth and bucked him off me and I grabbed him from behind and threw his sorry ass out of the door!
I heard him screaming and pounding at the door, but I kept yelling back,

I wake up with a bright light in my face and the first face I see is pretty blurry and for all I know...Its them.
I jump back and a sharp pain makes me drop
Then again I just had the living sun beaten out of me by...Them.
