EQUESTRIA OF THE DEAD
It is the dead of night. The moon is shining high in the night sky, the stars are twinkling, and the crickets chirp. It would be what most would call a peaceful night...if it weren't for the countless dead ponies wandering about outside, moaning and groaning.
Your name is Twilight Sparkle. You are 16 years old, the Element of Magic, Princess Celestia's star pupil, and...possibly...the only survivor in Ponyville. To think of you being the last pony alive in town is quite shocking and saddening. To know that so many ponies never had the chance...It broke your heart.
It's another night that has passed, and you've boarded up your door with the wooden planks, hoping they would hopefully hold so you could survive another day against the dead. A lantern is lit dimly in the center of the room, the only existant light in town. Deciding to enter another entry for the day, you head over to your bookcase. The faint light of your horn illuminates a certain book from one of the shelves. But it isn't just any book. It's your diary. The one book you wouldn't let anyone read because...well, it's personal!
Taking the diary from its shelf, you place it onto the table in the center of the room. You levitate a quill and ink over towards you from the kitchen area. Dipping the quill in ink, you open up your diary and begin to write.
"Dear diary,
I searched Ponyville again today. I haven't found much, just some beans and water. I still haven't found any other survivors either. I think I'm the only one left here. A few hours ago, I heard a broadcast on the radio about a refuge camp a few miles outside Fillydelphia. If I don't find anypony else or any food tomorrow, I guess I'll have to leave Ponyville.
If I do leave, I'm taking as many books as I can. Also, who knows? Maybe I'll find my friends there. Even...Lightning."
You stop writing. Just writing that name made you want to cry and cry and cry. Lightning Flash was a stallion you had met back when you first came to Ponyville. Then all of a sudden, news came up about random maulings and riots happening. It didn't make much sense. Then ponies began about the sick ponies being dead, coming back to life and attacking anypony, friend or stranger alike. It still didn't make sense for Zombies to actually happen. Zombies were nothing but science fiction. They were a myth! A story! And here they were in the real world, eating everyone they came across. It was just...just-

Twilight Sparkle is the leader, and a friend of the Mane Six, also known as the Elements of Harmony. Twilight is a lavender colored unicorn, who is into books, studying, and magic. She is the student of Princess Celestia.
Twilight is 16 years old. She started Magic Kindergarten at age 5, gaining her Cutie Mark at 5 1/2 years old. She enrolled into the University of Magic at age 12.
She met Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy at 14 years old, when Nightmare Moon attacked. During the party that Pinkie Pie had thrown her, she had met Thunder Ice, who was hiding in her bedroom from the annoying noises of the party.
She quickly became friends with him, but that friendship grew into something more. Soon, they were a couple.
By the time Twilight was 16, just two years after she had met Thunder and the others...an unspeakable event pulled them from each other.

After a few moments, you finally decide to take the Bow w/ Arrows. They're quiet, and shoot at long distances. Perfect for a silent kill.

Finally, once you are ready, you close your weapons drawer, and head downstairs to your living room.

CHOICE MADE: LET THE MARE IN
You think of the risks should you open the door, but then you come to the realization that that pony outside is a living creature that does not deserve to perish at the hands of a corpse, and it's been so long since you've talked to anyone. You come to the conclusion to let the mare inside.
Quickly, you run to the door, lighting your horn, pulling out the nails and tearing down the barricades. Once all down, you quickly open the door as fast as you could. Standing directly in front of you was a young mare, but you weren't keen on appearances at the moment.
"Get inside, quickly!" You whisper, and without hesitation, the mare almost sprints inside the house, and you quickly shut the door behind her, but silently to avoid making too much noise.
"Oooh, dear Celestia, tha-" Before she could finish her sentence, you stick a hoof in her mouth, preventing her from speaking. You shush her, and she instantly goes quiet.
For the first few seconds, you hear almost nothing but the sounds of distant chirping crickets in the night. At first, you assume that you're in the clear, and you begin to sigh, about to remove your hoof from the mare's mouth.
Then you hear the clicks. Your hoof goes back inside, and you hold your breath once more.
The distant clicking noises become louder and louder until you hear them just behind your door along with the sound of shuffling hooves across the stone roads. Eventually, the shuffling hooves stop, but the clicking noises don't.
"Another one?" you ask in your mind.
You remember when you saw the first Clicking Zombie almost a week after patient zero. Clickers, as you call them, were the rare kinds of Walkers that were blind either at the hooves of survivors, or from birth. And when you said "rare," you meant the one outside was the third one you've ever heard. You saw the first one, but never the second.
After your encounter with the first one, you didn't know at first why they made those clicking noises. Then you read through a book or two and found a column about echolocation, which meant "using the sounds of the environment to locate objects," and those objects to Clickers were the living.
For about a minute, the Clicker stood just outside your door, possibly trying to locate the mare now behind you. The clicking noises that it made put you on edge, and you were afraid it would hear anything you did. Echolocation was a powerful thing in Equestria, and knowing that the dead could do it frightened you, but you were lucky they were not common.
A minute passed, and slowly, the sound of shuffling hooves returned, only to slowly become more and more distant along with the clicking sounds. A second minute passed, and by then, the Clicker was gone, its clicks in the far distance by now.
With the terror finally passed, you sigh once more, finally removing your hoof from the mare's mouth. But once the tension released a little, you then noticed that your hoof felt a little...wet. Upon inspecting it, you notice that it was wet with a clear liquid. You clearly knew that this was the mare's saliva, indicating that she was sucking on your hoof.
Quietly, the mare apologized, blushing as she did so and looking away from your face. You simply replied that it was alright, glowing your horn in the semi-darkness and levitating a roll of paper-towels towards you. You rip off one piece and begin wiping your hoof off until it was clean of saliva. You crumple up the paper-towel and throw it into the trash. It seemed pointless throwing it in the trash, but you liked doing something that made everything "normal" for a moment.
After a few more moments of silence, knowing that it's now okay to freely speak normally, you ask the mare if she's okay.
"Yes," she replies, "I'm okay....Thank you for letting me in....I-I'm G-Gold Daisy...but, um...whatever you want to call me is...f-fine." Daisy blushes slightly.
"That's a very nice name, Daisy," you reply to her like a teacher replying to a young child.

For a moment, you wondered why she suddenly wanted to know your name, but you answer her question nonetheless.
"Yes, I am," you reply gently to Daisy. Slowly, her face begins to form a smile.
"Oh, thank Celestia I found you," she replied, fluttering her wings in response.
"Why did you ask?" You ask her.
Daisy's face slowly began to fade to a frown. You assumed she most likely went through tartarus just to get here. She probably didn't want to talk about it. Then she spoke.
"U-Uh, well...it all started at the refuge camp in Fillydelphia..."
Your eyes widen in surprise. You gasp.
"You're...You're from the camp? The one I've been hearing on the radio?"
"Y-Yes."
If she's from the camp, then she must've seen the others.
"Can I ask you something before you continue?" You ask her suddenly, and she shrieks in surprise.
"Y-Yes," she replies, shying behind her mane.
Definitely like Fluttershy.
"Do you recognize the Elements of Harmony?"
"Oh, yes. I do. They saved Equestria from that frightening princess...um...aren't you one of them?"
"Yes. I am the Element of Magic," you reply, smiling.
"Oh, wow. I've always wanted to meet one of you. Um...why did you ask if I knew them?"
"Well, I was wondering...have you seen the other elements at the survivor camp?"
Daisy was silent, with an expression as if she was thinking for a moment. You guessed she doesn't exactly focus on everyone there.

It becomes silent for a few moments. Nothing but awkward silence. Then again, silence is never awkward anymore. It's more common than it was a month ago. "Well...every week or so...the ponies who run the camp - they call themselves governors - they send a number of ponies out of the camp to look for food. They sent me out, along with a few others...including this one stallion I met around 2 weeks ago. When we first met, he introduced himself, complimented me...and then he asked me if he wanted to hang out sometime."
"So, he's your date?"
Daisy blushed at the question.
"Oh, no. We weren't dating or anything. He said he already has a marefriend. U-Um...had one. He doesn't know if she's okay or not."

Then you remembered something...What Daisy said about the stallion...He was blue. Lightning's blue, too. She also said the stallion loves classical music. Lightning does also. Could...Could Daisy be talking about him? No, of course not. You forget that Lightning isn't the only stallion that's blue in Equestria. It was a slim chance she'd actually be talking about him. Although, there isn't any harm in finding out. You had to know for sure.
"Daisy," you start, "What's this stallion's name?"
"Uh...I can't remember...Except his last name. I think it was...Flash."
Flash? That's Lightning's last name. And there can't be anyone else in Equestria with the last name of 'Flash'. It was obvious she was indeed talking about him. But she didn't seem to remember his first name. Perhaps you could fill in the blank.
"Is it Lightning Flash?"

When you heard her response, a sudden feeling began to form inside you. A feeling of happiness. Excitement. Lightning's alive. However, the feeling suddenly begins to fade. You remember she said she's seen only Lightning there, and not the rest of your friends. Still, you are fairly happy to know your stallionfriend is still alive.
"H-How do you know his name?"
You look to her for a moment.
"He's...he's my stallionfriend. We've been together for 2 years. I got separated from him during the outbreak. It's been a whole month since I've seen him. I hoped every day that he was okay. Now I know..."

'Oh!' you remember. Maneya was the town everypony in Fillydelphia called "the perfect paradise". It had a three story library, a spa that treated customers for only 5 bits, and much more. Some even said it was the perfect place for a honeymoon. Months ago, you and Lightning made a promise you'd go there when you two got married...well, if you got married. But sadly...that dream won't be coming true anytime soon.
"When we entered the town, we all split up and started looking in houses. We only found a few supplies: Bandages and beans. Some of the others found bread, but it was all..." Daisy shook for a second, with a disgusted look on her face, "...moldy," she finished.
You visioned the moldy bread in your mind, and you too shook in disgust.
"We all met back at where they wanted us to be. We debated whether or not to bring back what we had or keep looking...That was when we were ambushed."
"By who?"
"The...bandits."
Daisy tightened her eyes, as if the memory was painful to remember. You didn't want to ask.
You knew who the bandits were. They were nothing but sick, twisted psychotic ponies who killed anypony in their sights, living or dead, just for fun. It was extremely rare that they let anypony join them. Some who did want to join got bludgeoned to death or burned alive. Some even raped mares they came across. You heard of them, but you've never seen any of them. Thank Celestia you haven't.
"They...They came out of nowhere...and killed one of us with one of those...gun-thingies."
Guns. You've heard of them. You learned what they are, and what they do. They kill. They were deadly weapons with small projectiles that could pierce the head of anypony, and kill them faster than you could say 'dead'. They could even kill an Ursa Major. In the newspapers, all around the world, ponies had murdered others with these weapons for purposes. Others did it for fun. Slowly, over time, Equestria began to turn from a peaceful land to a violent and chaotic one.
"One of them...took me and...they hit me in the head. E-Everything went black...I woke up a while l-later. I don't remember how long...but when I woke up, I couldn't move. They had me tied to a table with r-rope. Then when they came into the room...they said some things to me...They said they'd...kill me if I didn't do what they told me."
You covered your mouth with your hooves in shock. You wish you hadn't heard what she said next.

"Daisy," you speak up, your voice cracking in sadness. Slowly, you walk to her and embrace her in a warm, loving hug. She accepts it gladly. Finally, after around 10 seconds or so, you both pull away. Daisy continues to speak.
"After they were...done with me, they told me to wait...then they left. I just stayed there, blindfolded and tied to a table. I did manage to get my blindfold off somehow...That was when I saw this knife. I couldn't use my hooves to reach it...but my wings weren't tied up...so I started to fly and I went sideways, so I was closer to the floor. I-I managed to reach the knife...and...I cut myself free..."
Daisy flapped her wings and smiled slightly.
"Once I got free...I snuck out the window that was in the room. Then I ran...I ran as fast as I could away from the place. I did get tired from running, so I flew. By the time I escaped, it was dark...but the moon was out, so it helped me see. Once I got tired, I landed and started walking...I...I was scared...I was so scared...I didn't know if the others got away or not...I hoped they did. Eventually, I found a small camp...and there was a tent in it...I went quiet and slowly snuck my way to it...then I opened it. Luckily, nopony was in it. Quickly, I crawled into it and closed it. I was so tired, I fell asleep and slept like a baby bunny."
Daisy smiled and closed her eyes, remembering the peaceful slumber.
When she said 'baby bunny', she definitely reminded you of Fluttershy.
"W-When I woke up, I heard a noise. At first, I was scared. But then I heard the noise of s-static. When I opened up the tent, I found a radio on a nearby t-table. I picked it up and I eventually picked up your b-broadcast. When you said Ponyville, I quickly looked at my surroundings. When I was a young filly, I could always point out the directions. I was in Fillydelphia, so I knew Ponyville was west. It took an exhausting twelve hours to get here...But when I got here...it was dark again. I didn't know where I was going. I started to think the broadcast was old...Then I saw your house lights through the windows. When I started heading to it, a large number of them had spotted me...So I ran as fast as I could...I-If you d-didn't open the door...I-I w-w-would've..."
Daisy couldn't finish her sentence. The fear of what might've happened had you not opened the door for her burned into her brain, and it was enough for her to collapse into tears. For a few seconds, you just stood there, not sure what to do. Then you slowly leaned down to Daisy and enveloped her in a warm hug, and reminded her that she was fine, and nopony was going to hurt her.
She thanks you.
Slowly, you begin to pull away from her...then her gaze catches your eyes. Her bright, green, sparkling eyes glisten from the candlelight, and she stares into your eyes. If you could see yours, they'd be bright, purple, and sparkling as well. The two of your are frozen for an awkward moment, just looking into each other's eyes.

You decide to put on the brown cape. During the day, it's slightly cold, mostly since there are less ponies to release Co2 into the air.
Easily, you wrap the cape around your neck, and jump a bit so it spreads out. It ends near your hind legs.
After putting on the cape, you close the drawer, and open the one next to it. It holds all of the weapons you have found over the month.
The weapons you have in your drawer are: A Kitchen Knife, a Katana, a Bow w/ Arrows, a Crossbow, an Axe, a Wooden Bat, a Pickaxe, and a Sledgehammer.

After choosing for a few seconds, you finally decide to take the Kitchen Knife. It's a medium-sized knife, with a sharp tip. There are some faint stains of blood from previous Walker encounters, but nonetheless, it's still a good weapon to use.
Once you place the knife in the satchel on your back, you close your drawer and head downstairs to your living room. You take one good look at it one last time.
Finally, you turn to the door.

"Yes, I am," you reply gently to Daisy. Slowly, her face begins to form a smile.
"Oh, thank Celestia I found you," she replied, fluttering her wings in response.
"Why did you ask?" You ask her.
Daisy's face slowly began to fade to a frown. You assumed she most likely went through tartarus just to get here. She probably didn't want to talk about it. Then she spoke.
"U-Uh, well...it all started at the refuge camp in Fillydelphia..."
Your eyes widen in surprise. You gasp.
"You're...You're from the camp? The one I've been hearing on the radio?"
"Y-Yes."
If she's from the camp, then she must've seen the others.
"Can I ask you something before you continue?" You ask her suddenly, and she shrieks in surprise.
"Y-Yes," she replies, shying behind her mane.
Definitely like Fluttershy.
"Do you recognize the Elements of Harmony?"
"Oh, yes. I do. They saved Equestria from that frightening princess...um...aren't you one of them?"
"Yes. I am the Element of Magic," you reply, smiling.
"Oh, wow. I've always wanted to meet one of you. Um...why did you ask if I knew them?"
"Well, I was wondering...have you seen the other elements at the survivor camp?"
Daisy was silent, with an expression as if she was thinking for a moment. You guessed she doesn't exactly focus on everyone there.
"N-No. Sorry."
You knew she'd say that.
"Don't be sorry. I was just wondering."
It becomes silent for a few moments. Nothing but awkward silence. Then again, silence is never awkward anymore. It's more common than it was a month ago. Some days, you'd hear screams in the far distance. Other days, it's silent. You became used to it overtime. It takes about a minute for you to speak up again.
"So," you begin, "What happened at the camp?"
"Oh. Right," Daisy replied, forgetting about the story she was ready to tell just a minute ago.
"Well...every week or so...the ponies who run the camp - they call themselves governors - they send a number of ponies out of the camp to look for food. They sent me out, along with a few others...including this one stallion I met around 2 weeks ago. When we first met, he introduced himself, complimented me...and then he asked me if he wanted to hang out sometime."
"So, he's your date?"
Daisy blushed at the question.
"Oh, no. We weren't dating or anything. He said he already has a marefriend. U-Um...had one. He doesn't know if she's okay or not."
"What does he look like? Is he handsome?" You ask, trying to make the mare blush again. You succeed as her face begins to redden again.
"U-Um...Y-Yes," she replies, smiling, "He's a nice pony. He's blue, just like me. Some ponies at the camp say we look like clones...just the opposite gender. Hehe..." Daisy giggles a bit.
"What else is there about him?"
"Well...He really loves music. Classical. I love classical, too."
You complimented, saying you also enjoyed classical music. You'd listen to it whenever you read a book once in a while. But...that was before the outbreak. When the power plants failed, so did the record player. Now you just read a book with the silence howling in your ears.
Then you remembered something...What Daisy said about the stallion...He was blue. Lightning's blue, too. She also said the stallion loves classical music. Lightning does also. Could...Could Daisy be talking about him? No, of course not. You forget that Lightning isn't the only stallion that's blue in Equestria. It was a slim chance she'd actually be talking about him. Although, there isn't any harm in finding out. You had to know for sure.
"Daisy," you start, "What's this stallion's name?"
"Uh...I can't remember...Except his last name. I think it was...Flash."
Flash? That's Lightning's last name. And there can't be anyone else in Equestria with the last name of 'Flash'. It was obvious she was indeed talking about him. But she didn't seem to remember his first name. Perhaps you could fill in the blank.
"Is it Lightning Flash?"
"O-Oh! Yes! I m-mean...yes. Sorry for shouting," Daisy apologizes, hiding behind her mane again.
When you heard her response, a sudden feeling began to form inside you. A feeling of happiness. Excitement. Lightning's alive. However, the feeling suddenly begins to fade. You remember she said she's seen only Lightning there, and not the rest of your friends. Still, you are fairly happy to know your stallionfriend is still alive.
"H-How do you know his name?"
You look to her for a moment.
"He's...he's my stallionfriend. We've been together for 2 years. I got separated from him during the outbreak. It's been a whole month since I've seen him. I hoped every day that he was okay. Now I know..."
You become silent for a moment. Then you look towards Daisy.
"Thank you, Daisy." You walk over to her, and wrap your forelegs around her, pulling her into a hug.
"Thank you so much."
"U-Uh...you're welcome."
After an awkward 15 seconds, you pull away from Daisy.
"Sorry. I'm just so happy."
"It...it's okay," she replies, smiling to you.
"So..." You begin, trying to suppress your happiness. "Can you continue your story, Daisy?"
"Oh. Okay. I was picked to go out with...I think 10-12 other ponies. Lightning was also picked to go with us. When we went out, he stayed alongside me the whole time. We talked and laughed. Kept each other company...then...he..."
"He what?"
"He...kissed me...B-But he quickly apologized afterwards."
He...kissed her?
Usually, you would probably feel angered at this, betrayed, cheated...but you couldn't blame Lightning. He has no idea if you're alive or not. He most likely lost all hope of seeing you alive and possibly decided to move on. Hopefully, if he has done that, he hasn't completely forgotten about you.
"Oh...He did...?"
"Y-Yeah..."
"Don't worry, Daisy. I'm not angry or anything."
"You're...you're not?"
"No. I can't blame him. You do look cute."
Once again, you succeeded in making Daisy blush. Her cheeks became as red as a tomato, a vegetable you haven't seen since the end began.
"T-Thank you, Twilight."
It becomes silent for a moment before Daisy remembers what she was saying.
"A-Anyway...we continued forward into a nearby town...I think it was called Maneya."
Manya...why does that sound familiar to you?
'Oh!' you remember. Maneya was the town everypony in Fillydelphia called "the perfect paradise". It had a three story library, a spa that treated customers for only 5 bits, and much more. Some even said it was the perfect place for a honeymoon. Months ago, you and Lightning made a promise you'd go there when you two got married...well, if you got married. But sadly...that dream won't be coming true anytime soon.
"When we entered the town, we all split up and started looking in houses. We only found a few supplies: Bandages and beans. Some of the others found bread, but it was all..." Daisy shook for a second, with a disgusted look on her face, "...moldy," she finished.
You visioned the moldy bread in your mind, and you too shook in disgust.
"We all met back at where they wanted us to be. We debated whether or not to bring back what we had or keep looking...That was when we were ambushed."
"By who?"
"The...bandits."
Daisy tightened her eyes, as if the memory was painful to remember. You didn't want to ask.
You knew who the bandits were. They were nothing but sick, twisted psychotic ponies who killed anypony in their sights, living or dead, just for fun. It was extremely rare that they let anypony join them. Some who did want to join got bludgeoned to death or burned alive. Some even raped mares they came across. You heard of them, but you've never seen any of them. Thank Celestia you haven't.
"They...They came out of nowhere...and killed one of us with one of those...gun-thingies."
Guns. You've heard of them. You learned what they are, and what they do. They kill. They were deadly weapons with small projectiles that could pierce the head of anypony, and kill them faster than you could say 'dead'. They could even kill an Ursa Major. In the newspapers, all around the world, ponies had murdered others with these weapons for purposes. Others did it for fun. Slowly, over time, Equestria began to turn from a peaceful land, to a violent and chaotic one.
"One of them...took me and...they hit me in the head. E-Everything went black...I woke up a while l-later. I don't remember how long...but when I woke up, I couldn't move. They had me tied to a table with r-rope. Then when they came into the room...they said some things to me...They said they'd...kill me if I didn't do what they told me."
You covered your mouth with your hooves in shock. You wish you hadn't heard what she said next.
"They...they r...raped me. They beat me...they did...horrible things to me...and...they...didn't p-pull out..."

You wake up at about 7:15 a.m. You open your eyes, but quickly close them as the rays from Celestia's sun shine through the cracks of the wooden boards barricading the windows.
Even though it's the midst of a zombie apocalypse, you know she must still enjoy waking us up like this.
After a few moments, you finally get up from your bed. After getting up, you then remake your bed, so it's nice and tidy. Shame, though. This might be the last time you use it.
Once it's made, you head to the bathroom, and go #1. Once you 'empty your tank', you flush the toilet. You are still amazed at how the power to the sewage system is still working. You quickly shrug it off, and wash your hooves.
After washing your hooves, you head back into your bedroom and open up your clothing drawer. Since ponies don't normally wear clothes, you only have about 4 pairs of clothing. The gas mask counts. Before you decide to pick your clothing, you take the gas mask and put it on, still not taking any chances in case the disease is still airborne.
Inside your clothing drawer, you have a gray jacket, a brown cape, and a Royal Guard suit. You had found it one day in the street. They're not much, but they do keep you warm on some days.

You don't answer his question, but just stay silent.
"I'm guessing your one of those kinda quiet mares, huh?"
You simply nod to him.
"Eh, that's alright. Well, I heard a broadcast from a mare named Twilight Sparkle about 2 days ago."
"Yes. That's me," you say.
"Great. It had been difficult trying to find you."
"Were you attacked?"
"A few days ago, I was. Me and my crew were relaxing at this camp, when those creatures attacked us. I was the only one who got out alive. Fortunately, I had my radio with me, and I ended up hearing your broadcast, saying you were here in Ponyville, so I started heading here. Unfortunately, I got here about 15 minutes ago. I nearly got caught a few times. I do have a gun, but I don't have any ammo. I finally found your house, and I was caught by infected. I at least hoped you were still here...and alive."
The stallion then bows slightly at you and gives you a slight hug.
"Thank you, Twilight Sparkle, for saving me."
"Oh, it was nothing," you simply reply.
"It was. If you hadn't opened the door for me, I would've been dead right now."
Slowly, he looks around.
"Say, do you have any food? I haven't eaten in a few hours, and I'm a little hungry."

After around 10-11 hours of sleep, you finally awaken from your long slumber. Celestia's sun shines through the spaces between the wooden planks on the barricaded windows. The shine is enough to force you out of bed.

Back when she was only a 5 year old filly, she had left her farm home to go live with her Aunt and Uncle Orange in Manehattan. It didn't go so well for her. She began to feel homesick. Suddenly, a rainbowy boom erupted in the sky, pointing towards her home.
After that, she knew she was destined to be in the apple business. She had returned to her brother and grandmother, to live on the farm again. She had earned her Cutie Mark on her return.
She met Twilight and the others when she was 14 as well.
Applejack now is part of the most famous, and only, apple business in Equestria.

"I'll tell you once you tell me who you are," you say.
"Fine, then. My name is Shadow Breeze. I heard a broadcast about 2 days ago from a mare named Twilight Sparkle. Are you her?"
"Yes."
"Okay, good. It was very difficult getting here."
"How difficult?"
"Very. My friends and I were camping somewhere east of here, when we were attacked by those creatures. I was the only one who had made it out alive. Luckily, I kept my radio with me, and heard your broadcasts. Quickly, I began to make my way here. Unfortunately, I had made it here about 15 minutes ago. I had to hide many times in order to avoid the creatures. Finally, I spotted your house when I was spotted by at least 4-5 of them. Then, I started knockin'."
Shadow then looks around.
"Say, is there anypony else in here?"
"No. I'm the only one here. I used to have an owl here about a week ago, but it had left during the day. I haven't seen it since."
"I'm sorry."
Shadow looked to where your kitchen was.
"Sorry, but do you have any food? I haven't eaten in hours, and if I don't get anything in my stomach in the next few minutes, I'm gonna collapse."

'Just don't pig out on it, okay?'

"Yes. I have some in the cupboards," you say to him, pointing a hoof towards the kitchen.
"Thank you." Shadow then walks over to the kitchen and opens up a cupboard. He takes out a bag of stale potato chips, but he eats only a little bit of the chips.
"To be honest with you...you're the first pony I've seen in nearly a month," you say to him.
He turns towards you, swallowing the chips in his mouth.
"Seriously?" He asks, surprised.
You nod. Suddenly, you hug him.
"It's just been so long since I've talked to anypony.
"How long?" He asks you.
"Well...since the outbreak."
"That long?"
"Yes." You then look at your clock. 9:31 p.m.
"We should get to bed," you say to Shadow.
"Why?" he asks, confused.
"On the radio, I heard a message from somepony, saying they were at a camp in the outskirts of Fillydelphia. If we wanna get there fast, we need to get up real early. If we do, we could make it there in about 2 days."
"A camp?"
"Yes, and where there's a camp, there's ponies," you say stupidly.
Shadow only chuckles. "Duh."
You then look towards your bedroom. Then you look back to your living room couch.

You can wait to eat or sleep. Right now, you should send a broadcast.
Slowly, you trot over to your ham radio, and turn it on.
Once it turns on, you pull the microphone towards you, and begin to speak into it.
"If anypony can hear this, this is Thunder Ice. I am a survivor living in Ponyville. I haven't seen another survivor in over a month. I am currently staying at house #34, in downtown Ponyville, next to the Library. I will be staying in Ponyville until the end of tomorrow. After tomorrow, I'll be leaving Ponyville to search for others. I want nopony to enter Ponyville. It is not safe. I repeat, Ponyville is not safe. This might be the last message I send to you all. Farewell. Thunder Ice out."
You turn off the ham radio. After that, you begin to turn off the lanterns downstairs. Once that is done, you head upstairs to your bedroom. You slip into your bed, turn off your lantern, close your eyes, and enter Dreamland for another night.

Thunder Ice is a unicorn, who has never actually used his horn for magic at all. Thunder has no brothers or sisters, for he is an only child of his family.
Thunder is 17 years old. He is the stallionfriend of Twilight Sparkle.
One day, when Thunder was only 4 years old, a carriage had began to roll down a hill at an incredible speed towards a trench. Thunder ran with all of his speed in his little legs to catch up to it. Finally, he reached the front of it, and used all of his energy to stop it. Finally, it had stopped just a few feet from the edge.
That day, Thunder was a hero, which had given him his Cutie Mark. He had always said it had looked exactly like his friend
Rainbow Dash's cutie mark, only a different color, but he had known it was for his incredible ability to run at amazing speeds.
By the time he was 15 years old, he had met Twilight Sparkle and the others. Thunder was hiding in Twilight's room from the annoying noises of the party Pinkie Pie threw for Twilight. Eventually, Twilight had entered the room as well to hide. He had apologized for trespassing into her room, but she quickly knew why he was hiding.
They had introduced themselves to each other, and quickly became friends, but that friendship quickly grew into something more. A loving relationship.
Thunder is now 17 years old, and a disaster separates him from his lover, and his friends...

"Uhh...Shadow, why don't you take the bed? I'll sleep down here," you say to him.
"Are you sure? What if those...creatures attack during the night?" Shadow asks, worried for you.
"Those barriers are made of pure Titanium. It'll take more than a horde of those things to bust it down," you say, chuckling a bit.
"Well, okay then." Slowly, Shadow walks his way to your bedroom, while you grab a pillow and blanket from your closet.
A few minutes later, you turn off your lantern.
"Good night, Shadow," you say to him.
"Good night...Twilight," he says somewhat slowly. It seems he is still worried. You don't blame him, though. He's lost all of his friends, and has spent nearly 3 days looking for you.
You see the lantern in your bedroom turn off.
Slowly, but happily, you slowly begin to drift to sleep, happy that you have found a face for the first time in 5 weeks.

Rarity is pretty much the oldest of the Elements of Harmony. She is 19 years old. She lives in the Carousel Boutique near the center of Ponyville.
Rarity has a younger sister, named Sweetie Belle. Sweetie Belle is only a filly, only 5 years old. She constantly goes around Ponyville, trying to earn her Cutie Mark, along with her two other friends, Scootaloo and Apple Bloom. Rarity also owns a cat, named Opalescence.
13 years ago, when Rarity was only 6 years old, after trying time and time again to make spectacular dresses for a play, her horn began to glow, and drag her across the land, only to stumble upon a boulder. But, it wasn't just a boulder...It was a rock!
Suddenly, a rainbowy explosion erupted in the skies, breaking the rock in two. But inside the rock were...diamonds. She had realized that these would complete her dresses! Eventually, she had earned her Cutie Mark.
She had met Twilight and the others when she was 17. She had also noticed that Twilight's assistant, Spike, had a crush on her.
Eventually, she began to have feelings for him, as well.
She is now 19 years old...and an untold disaster separates her and her friends...

"Uhh...Shadow, do you think you would be okay if you slept on the couch tonight?" You ask.
"Yeah. Sure, I guess."
He slowly gets onto the couch, trying to get used to it.
A few minutes later, you get into bed, covering yourself in your blanket.
"Good night...Shadow," you say to him downstairs.
"Good night...Twilight," he says slowly to you.
After a few minutes, you fall asleep, feeling bad about letting Shadow sleep down there. Alone.
A few hours later, sometime at about 1:30, you wake up to hear the sound of somepony shivering.
You look out to the living room to see Shadow covering his shoulders with his hooves. He's fast asleep, but he's shaking like a leaf.
You wonder why the poor thing hadn't gotten any blankets from the closet.
Slowly, but quietly, you head over to the closet, and grab a few blankets. After closing the door, you head over to the shivering Shadow, and gently cover him with the blankets.
Eventually, his shivering begins to cease, and he sighs in relief.
You smile, and gently kiss his forehead.
A smile appears upon his face, causing your smile to grow a little more.
You then finally head back to your bedroom, and head back to sleep, smiling the whole time. It's the first time in over a month since you've felt this happy. It feels great.

You decide to put on the gray jacket. During the day, it's lightly foggy, so it'll be easy to blend in to hide yourself from the Walkers.
Easily, you slip on the jacket above your head and shoulders. It ends right above your hind legs.
After putting on the jacket, you close the drawer, and open the one next to it. It holds all of the weapons you have found over the month.
The weapons you have in your drawer are: A Kitchen Knife, a Katana, a Bow w/ Arrows, a Crossbow, an Axe, a Wooden Bat, a Pickaxe, and a Sledgehammer.

You decide you can eat something tomorrow. The broadcasts can wait, too.
Before you head upstairs, however, you begin to turn off the lanterns downstairs. Once you do, you head upstairs to your bedroom.
You slowly slip into your bed, getting used to the soft mattress. You rest your head on the soft pillow, and you begin to close your eyes. But, not before turning off the lantern on your nightstand.
After doing so, you finally close your eyes, heading off to dreamland once again...alone.

After looking at all of your weapons, you finally decide to take the sledgehammer. It's not that big, it's easy to swing, and it's fun to smash the heads of Walkers in.
You pick it up, and place it into your satchel. After doing so, you close the drawer, and head downstairs to your living room. You take one last look of it.
Finally, you turn to the door.

After looking at all of the weapons, you decide to take the Pickaxe. Thanks to your friend, Rarity, this Pickaxe is special. It's made of Diamond. The perfect weapon to kill Walkers. It's indestructible, unbreakable. The weapon.
You pick it up. It's a little heavy, but easy for you to pick up. You place it into your satchel. After that, you close your drawer, and head downstairs to your living room. You take one last look of it.
Finally, you turn to the door.

You decide to put on the Royal Guard armor. It's light, warm, and can help you blend in with some environments when near Walkers.
Easily, you put on the helmet, the torso section, and the foreleg and hindleg parts.
After putting on the armor, you close the drawer, and open the one next to it. It holds all of the weapons you have found over the month.
The weapons you have in your drawer are: A Kitchen Knife, a Katana, a Bow w/ Arrows, a Crossbow, an Axe, a Wooden Bat, a Pickaxe, and a Sledgehammer.

After looking at all of them, you decide to take the wooden bat.
You pick it up and look at it. It's worn down, cracked. Some parts are chipped away, but nonetheless, it's still usable for killing Walkers silently.
After putting the bat in your satchel, you head downstairs to your living room. You take one last look of it.
Finally, you turn to the door.

You wake up in your bed, the blinds of your window stopping the sun from penetrating your room. You slowly take off your blanket and stand up on all fours.
Slowly, you walk downstairs to the living room, where you see Shadow still sleeping on the couch, the blanket wrapped around his body, and a smile still on his face.
You still feel terrible making him sleep down here.
Suddenly, you hear a grumbling noise, but it's not coming from your stomach. It's coming from Shadow's. You remember from last night, him saying that he hadn't eaten in hours.
You don't want him to end up starving. And, to be honest, you haven't eaten anything since last night either.
You also realize you only have a bag of chips and a bag of carrots in the cupboard. That's not going to be much for you two.
Finally, you come to a conclusion. You decide to head out to find something for both you and Shadow to eat.
Quickly, but quietly, you get your metal bat, and your bow and bag of arrows. You place the bag around your shoulder and walk to the door.
With your magic, you move the huge Titanium barrier covering the door.

You continue to eat the treats for a little bit longer, but suddenly, a loud noise stops you. You turn your head in the direction the noise came from. Your head points to the basement door.
The door is closed, and has a sign on it, as well. It says, "No meanies aloud!" Just like it said on the front door.
You have no idea what the sound could've been. You highly doubt it could be a survivor. You haven't seen a survivor in this town since everypony died. If Pinkie was here, she's probably long gone by now. If she saw a Walker, she'd hightail it out of here. Still, it would be best to possibly check it out.

With your Katana, you gallop full force towards Mr. Cake, and with full force, you bury the blade deep into his stomach. He tries to attack you, but you dodge his attacks. In an instant, you quickly move the blade up Mr. Cake's body, until it reaches his head. You end up splitting him in half. The two halves of Mr. Cake fall to the floor.
Suddenly, a large body of mass tackles you to the ground. Mrs. Cake is on you, trying to bite you. With your quick moves, you turn around and knock her off you. She stumbles for a bit, before beginning to amble towards you again. You raise your katana into the air, and dive it deep into the dead mare's head. You pull the blade out, allowing Mrs. Cake's body to fall the floor.
You use a spell to take some paper towels out of your satchel. You begin to wipe the blood off of you and your katana. You then look around to see if any other walkers are hiding.
Suddenly, you hear crying. A survivor.
You call out to the voice, and a gasp is heard.
"D-Don't hurt us, please!"
You know whoever is alive is not alone, but...that voice...it sounds...familiar.

'Who's there? Show yourself.'

You decide to head to the Library first. But before you do, you look back at the Walker in the street. He doesn't seem to notice you at all. Which is a good thing. Quietly, though, you walk to the Library.
When you reach the front door, you see four corpses. They instantly bring you back to the day...the day of the outbreak...
*flashback*
You run through the streets of Ponyville. As you do, you see ponies all around you, being tackled down and literally ripped apart. You even see about two ponies rip a foal out of its carriage, and eat it. It made you sick.
Suddenly, you hear a scream, but the scream sounds familiar. You then realize the scream, and begin sprinting towards the Ponyville Library.
When you reach the front door of the Library, you find a wooden bat. You grab it, and look inside the Library.
Your eyes widen. You see your marefriend, Twilight Sparkle, being attacked by a random stallion. You can hear Twilight screaming and crying as she struggles.
Quickly, you run over to the stallion, and slam the bat right at his head, knocking him off of Twilight.
After doing so, you see Twilight looking up at you.
"Thunder! Oh!" She cries in relief, as she gets up and hugs you tightly, crying into your chest. She buries her face into your shoulder.
"You okay?" You ask her.
"Yes. I'm okay."
"Were you bitten?"
She was a bit shocked by this question. What did you mean by "bitten"?
"What?"
The both of you hear a scream outside. Outside the open door, you see a mare being tackled down by 3 stallions and another mare. You hear her scream as they begin to maul her like manticores.
Quickly, her screams cease and become gurgles of choking on blood. Soon, you only hear them feasting on her.
You see Twilight cover her mouth with her hooves, gasping loudly. Tears begin to fall from her eyes.
"W-What's going on?" She asks, on the verge of crying.
Suddenly, the three ponies turn towards you two, and quickly begin to limp towards the library.
"I'll explain later. Grab something big!" You repliy to Twilight. You begin to run towards the three ponies who are now beginning to enter the home.
Quickly, Twilight finds a huge wooden 2x4, and begins to run towards the ponies.
"Aim for the head!" You yell to Twilight right before you hit one of them in the head.
She hesitates for only a moment, before listening, and strikes another pony in the head, leaving one standing. You quickly strike it in the head, causing it to fall like the others.
Quickly, you grab the bodies and throws them outside of the library. You then quickly run over to the body of the stallion from earlier and throw it out as well. You then close the door, also locking it.
Still shocked with what she's done, Twilight drops the 2x4, sits down, covers her hind legs with her forelegs, and begins to cry.
"Thunder...Wh...What's going on?" She cries to you as hot, fresh tears stream down her face. You've never seen her this scared in your life.
You kneel down in front of her, and begin to wipe away the tears from her face.
"Twiley...remember that disease that started in Manehattan about a month ago, and started spreading around?"
She doesn't remember at first, but then she does.
Quickly, she begins to dash for the door, but you stops her.
"Let go of me, Thunder! I have to help the others!" She yells.
"Twilight! Twilight!!" You finally manage to hold both of her shoulders in place.
"It's too dangerous for you to go out there. You can easily get killed. And if something happened to you, oh..." You hold her tightly in your arms.
"...I'd never forgive myself."
Surprisingly, you begin to kiss her deeply. Quickly, she begins to kiss you back. Her hind legs slowly feel like jelly, but you stand to support her. She lets her forelegs fall freely.
To surprise you, she begins to slide her tongue into your mouth, and you quickly accept and return the offer by doing the same.
Twilight moans slightly as the two of you continue to kiss for what seems like hours, but only about a minute.
Finally, you two separate, and begin to take a breather.
After a few minutes, You look at her again.
"Listen, Twi. Please...for me...stay here, okay? I'll go see if the others are okay. Just...until I get back, barricade the doors and windows. Make sure nopony, or nothing sees you. Okay?"
She smiles slightly at you.
"Okay."
"I'll be back, I promise." You begin to head to the door, but Twilight stops you quickly.
"Wait, Thunder."
"Yeah?" You look to her.
She stares at you for a second, before replying.
"I love you."
You smile happily at her..
"I love you, too."
You kiss her on the lips one last time, before opening the door quickly, and closing it behind you.
*end of flashback*
That was the last time you saw her. You shake the past out of your head, and walk past the corpses. Slowly, you walk inside the Library.
The interior is a wreck. The couch in the living room is upside-down, the ETV is smashed, books are wrecked everywhere. You just hope Twilight is alright. You look to your right. You see some kind of barrier. You quickly notice the substance it's made of as Titanium. But, it seems dented. Really dented.
"How can Walkers manage to bust through a large Titanium barrier...?" You ask yourself, perplexed.
Suddenly, a noise is heard from the bedroom of the Library. You quickly turn your head to the stairs leading to the bedroom. You have no idea what it could be. Could be a rat, or something falling, even a Walker. The possibility of it being a Walker is pretty high.

After deciding, you finally pick the Crowbar. As you pick it up, you inspect it. It's a bit bent up, and some dried blood still remains all over it from previous undead encounters. Still, after all this time, it gets the job done quietly.
Once you have chosen your weapon, you close the weapon drawer, then move downward to the drawer containing your food and liquid. You really want to take both, but canned beans are less rare than bottled water. Without hesitation, you grab the canned beans and place them in a satchel next to your bed, along with the crowbar. Finally, you open the medicine drawer, which, as explained before, contains medical supplies, such as: Bandages and First Aid. Some antibiotics are also in here, but they won't do much against whatever this disease is, but they are useful against others.

You decide to head to Sugarcube Corner. It's been a month since you've last visited it, so there has to be at least something, or somepony there.
As you head to Sugarcube Corner, you look behind you. The Walker down the road still doesn't seem to notice you. You just ignore it.
Finally, you reach the front door of the bakery. There's a sign on the door that says, "Go away! No meanies allowed!" Reading the word 'meanies' knows Pinkie wrote it. Pinkie...That pony...so young, and happy. You can't bear the thought of her becoming a Walker. Imagining her, instead of being hungry for cake, pie, and cupcakes, instead, being hungry for living flesh.
You shake the thought out of your head.
You look at the sign again. You notice something odd about it. The writing looks fresh, like it was made not that long ago. Maybe, 1-2 days ago.
You then look around the houses that say "Unclean". The writing is old. You saw hazmat teams write these as the infection hit the town. Parts of the writing are washed away from rainstorms from during the following month.
Finally, you look back to the door. Slowly, you move your hoof to the knob, and turn it. Surprisingly, the door opens. Inside, you see display counters, broken and trashed. Some cakes, brownies, cookies, and other treats are still where they were before the outbreak. Some look surprisingly fresh.
You walk inside the store, and close the door behind you. You then walk to one of the display counters, and take out a brownie. Slowly, you take a bite of it. Expecting it to be hard and crunchy, you are greeted by a soft and gooey sensation in your mouth. The taste of a fresh brownie covers your taste buds.
After about a minute, you finish the brownie, and take a cookie. You eat it, and just like the brownie, it's soft and gooey. You wonder how these are still fresh.
After finishing the cookie, you take a piece of cake, and place it into your mouth. The sensation never ends.
"Dear Celestia, this is good!" You say, chuckling.

Rainbow Dash is an unstoppable, tough, rainbow-maned, fighting tomboy. She is only 16 years old. When she was only 5 years old, she had gone into Flight School. Of course, she had won the race after performing her amazing, and famous Sonic-Rainboom. This was what gave her her Cutie Mark.
By age 14, she started to develop feelings for Fluttershy. One day, when Fluttershy had told Rainbow she had loved her more than just a friend, Rainbow replied, saying she had the same feelings for her.
That day, they shared their first kiss, then began to share their most private feelings with each other. They then became a couple, where nothing would separate them.
But, one day, when Rainbow was only 16, an unspeakable event pulled them apart.

"Oh. Don't worry about it. I'm not that hungry," he chuckles. After he stops speaking, you manage to hear his stomach growl.

"To be honest with you...you're the first pony I've seen in nearly a month," you say to him.
"Seriously?" He asks, surprised.
You nod. Suddenly, you hug him.
"It's just been so long since I've talked to anypony.
"How long?" He asks you.
"Well...since the outbreak."
"That long?"
"Yes." You then look at your clock. 9:31 p.m.
"We should get to bed," you say to Shadow.
"Why?" he asks, confused.
"On the radio, I heard a message from somepony, saying they were at a camp in the outskirts of Fillydelphia. If we wanna get there fast, we need to get up real early. If we do, we could make it there in about 2 days."
"A camp?"
"Yes, and where there's a camp, there's ponies," you say stupidly.
Shadow only chuckles. "Duh."
You then look towards your bedroom. Then you look back to your living room couch.

"Thank you." The stallion then walks over to the kitchen and opens up a cupboard. He takes out a bag of stale potato chips, but he eats only a little bit of the chips.
"I'm sorry, but I never got your name," you say to him.
He turns towards you, swallowing the chips in his mouth.
"Apologies, Ms. Sparkle. My name is Shadow Breeze. Nice to meet you." He then wraps up the chips bag, and puts it back in the cupboard.
After doing so, he shakes your hoof.
"To be honest with you...you're the first pony I've seen in nearly a month," you say, a bit saddened.
"Seriously?" He asks, surprised.
You nod. Suddenly, you hug him.
"It's just been so long since I've talked to anypony."
"How long?" He asks you suddenly.
"Since the outbreak."

You decide that sleeping can wait a little, and sending another message can wait, as well. You head to your cabinet where you store whatever food you scavenge in Ponyville.
When you open it, you see a bag of stale potato chips, some pieces of bread that aren't moldy yet, and half a jar of peanut butter.
You grab 2 pieces of bread and place them on a plate. You then grab a butter knife, scoop up some peanut butter, and spread it on both of the pieces. You would use jelly. If the power was still on, that is.
After placing the peanut butter on the bread, you slap the two pieces together.
After that, you open the bag of chips and pour some onto the plate. You then take your plate and sit down at your table, a lantern lighting it. You only have a few lanterns in your house, for you don't want to risk being seen.
Finally, you begin to take a bite of your peanut butter sandwich. You are greeted by the thick substance. Luckily, you have some water to wash it down. With the satchel on the table, you take out the bottle of water you found earlier today. You open the bottle, and take small gulps. This is your only bottle, after all.
After a few minutes, you finally finish your sandwich. By then, 3/4 of your water bottle is empty. Finally, you begin to eat your potato chips. They are pretty stale, but you don't mind.
Once you finish, you close the bag of chips, and place them back into the cabinet. You grab your plate and throw it into the garbage.
You then look at the clock. 9:47 p.m. You realize that you need to get some sleep if you wanna take a dip in the lake early tomorrow.
Ever since the power went out, you've been going to the lake to clean up. It's the only place that Walkers, as you call them, haven't contaminated.
You begin to turn off the lanterns downstairs, before heading upstairs. Once you reach your bedroom, you close your door, and slide into your bed. The only light glowing in your room is the lantern.
After covering yourself with your blanket, you finally turn off the lantern. You close your eyes, getting ready for a seemingly, peaceful night.

Pinkie Pie is the only pony who works day after day to put a smile on everypony's face. She works in Ponyville's Sugarcube Corner, where she creates the beast treats and desserts around.
Pinkie is 14 years old, and is the only jittery and crazy, but silly pony of the Mane Six.
Back when she was only 12 years old, she had greeted Twilight Sparkle's appearence in Ponyville by throwing her a party.
At only 5 years old, Pinkie was originally known as Pinkamena Diane Pie. She had worked on a farm, where she had farmed rocks.
One day, while working on the farm, a rainbowy explosion erupted in the sky. Her straight mane and tail became all poofy and curly. The rainbow had put a smile on her face.
Eventually, she had thrown a party for her family. She then learned that she could make anypony smile. That day, she had earned her Cutie Mark.
At only 14 years old, a terrible tragedy strikes Equestria, changing her life forever.

"Yes," you reply to the stallion, causing him to smile.
"I assume you've heard my broadcasts?" you ask him.
"Yes, I have," the stallion says to you. He then holds his hoof out to you.
"The name is Shadow Breeze, Ms. Sparkle."
You slowly, but gladly, shake his hoof back.
"So, Shadow," you begin, "When did you hear my broadcasts?"
"The very last broadcast I heard from you was about 2 days ago. I was with my friends in this little camp we found, when we were attacked by those creatures. My friends were all killed. I'm the only survivor of the attack. Luckily, I had my radio with me, and heard a broadcast from you, saying you were hiding in this library. So, I quickly started heading here. But, by the time I got here, it was already 9:20. I hid around some parts of the town, avoiding those creatures."
The stallion paused for a second, before continuing again.
"Once the coast was clear, or, at least I thought it was, I began to head towards the direction of your library. I was spotted by 4-5 of the creatures. And, then I was knockin' on your front door. U-Uh, not l-like that, I mean!!" He nervously chuckled.
Although, you knew he was talking about the door of your house, you turned away and blushed a bit.
"So, uh...anyway...do you have anything to eat? I haven't eaten anything in about a few hours."
>'Yes, I have some in the cupboards.'
>'No, I don't. Sorry.' [Lie: -5% Karma]
'Just don't pig out on it, okay?'

After a few moments, you finally choose the crossbow. The weapon is silent, and shoots from long distances. Perfect to kill a Walker silently.
You grab the crossbow from the drawer, and wrap the strap that holds it around you. You turn the strap around, so the crossbow is in your reach. You hold it in your hooves for a second.
Then, you grab the arrows, and wrap the strap of that around you, as well.
After doing so, you close the drawer, and walk downstairs to your front door. You take one last look of your living room.
Finally, you turn to the door.

You sit quietly in the center of your home. It's night once again, and you have boarded up your windows and front door. Only a few candles are lighting the interior of your tree house. You slowly head over to one of your bookshelves and pull out a book.
But it's not just any book. It's your diary.
You open up your diary to the newest, unwritten page. Using your magic, your grab a quill, dip it in ink, and begin to write.
"Dear diary,
I had searched Ponyville again, hoping to find any survivors, or possibly even food. Sadly, no luck. I had sent another message again with the new Equestrian radios. I'm still waiting for somepony to respond.
I still can't believe this has really happened. Nothing like this has ever happened before in Equestria. The only closest...zombies...that we've gotten were in the Everfree Forest.
I just hope that the princesses and the girls are alright. Including Spike and...Thunder. Oh, Thunder...I miss you. It's been so long since I've seen you. I just want to see you again...for you to hold me in your arms, cuddle me...keep me safe...
I can only hope that I will see him again. Soon, I will be leaving my home. It's becoming more dangerous to stay here. Just yesterday, I heard a message on the radio saying of a camp, just near the outskirts of Fillydelphia. It isn't that far from Ponyville. I could make it there in a few hours if I left by the morning.
But before I do leave Ponyville, I should find some weapons, and even some food. It will be a tough journey. But it'll be worth to see at least a living face...

You look at the date you have just written in your diary, and sigh. It has already been over a month since you have last seen any of your friends, or even Princess Celestia. Even Thunder. Every night, you cried yourself to sleep, fearing him and the others could be dead...or worse.
You look up at your clock. It's only 9:25 p.m. You could possibly read something, or listen to the radio for any broadcasts, or even...
*knock knock knock knock*
Your thoughts are interrupted when your hear somepony knocking at the door. A survivor?
"Please! Let me in! Please, they're coming! Please, let me in!!"
You recognize the voice as a stallion, and he sounds afraid. Of course, who wouldn't sound afraid in the midst of a Zombie Pandemic?
"For the love of Celestia, LET ME IN!! PLEASE!!"

You open up the front door, and walk out, closing the door behind you. You now take a look at your new surroundings. Around you, you see buildings where ponies once lived. On the concrete sidewalk, you see the rotting corpses of ponies who had died during the outbreak. Blood is everywhere, though the gas mask hides the stench.
Carriages where ponies traveled from place to place are crashed into some buildings, others even tipped on their sides. Hell, even upside-down. Some carry corpses, as well.
On your right, you see the Library. At the front door, there are a few bodies piled up. The door is still open. If you look close enough, you can see a trail of blood leading inside the house.
On your left, you see Sugarcube Corner. You haven't explored the place since the outbreak, but you plan to at least check it out before you leave Ponyville.
Some houses around you have their doors boarded up, and graffiti above them, saying, "Unclean".
Other houses don't have their doors boarded up, so it'll be easy to access the interior.
A small distance away, in the street, you see a Walker, stumbling about. Far away, in the hills, you can see Sweet Apple Acres. You haven't checked there either, but you plan to do so, as well.
Far down the road, past the Walker, you can see Carousel Boutique, also unchecked.
There's also Fluttershy's house. Maybe you should check if any of the animals are still alive.

After looking at all of them, you decide to take the Axe. Sure, it may be small, but it'll make sure the dead stay dead.
You grab the Axe from its resting place, and grip it in your hooves. Nice. Sharp. Perfect for killing.
After observing it, you place the Axe in the satchel wrapped around you, and close the drawer. You then head downstairs to your living room. You take a look at it one last time.
Finally, you turn to the door.

You wake up the following morning to the light of the blinding sun in your eyes. You hover a hoof over your eyes to protect them.
But, you don't just wake up from that. You also wake up to the smell of something...something delicious. You look to the table in front of your couch to see a....a plate of eggs and toast? And a glass of orange juice? But...how?
Your attention turns to the table in your dining room. To your surprise, Shadow is sitting there, eating toast and eggs, as well. He takes a sip of his orange juice before finally seeing you awake.
"Mornin'," he says to you, smiling.
You look to your plate, then back at him. Back to your plate, and back to him.
"How...did you manage to find this stuff? More importantly, how did you find it perfectly fine?" you ask, surprised that he managed to find food that wasn't moldy for once.
"I, uh...headed out this morning, about an hour ago. Searched a few homes, found a couple of supplies. Also, a first aid. I put some cream on your stomach wound."
Your eyes widened a little, then you look to where your wound was. It was surprisingly faint, like a scar.
"U-Uh...thank you, I guess...by the way...how did you find out about my scar? Were you...checking my body?" You ask, blushing a little.
"U-Uh..." Shadow blushes a little before replying.
"Well, yeah. But, not like that. I heard you groaning last night, like you were in pain. Well, that's what woke me up. It was only about 2 hours ago. I found your wound, and...I couldn't stand to see you in pain like that, so I got a large weapon, headed out, found the first aid, came back, and treated the wound. I hope you don't mind, really."
Of course, you didn't mind. You couldn't find a first aid, and your wound was giving you pain every night.
You smile happily at him. "Thank you, Shadow."
"You're welcome, Twilight."
Finally, you turn back to your plate of eggs and toast, and begin to eat what you haven't eaten since the outbreak.
About 5 minutes later, you pat your stomach, completely full from your breakfast. Which reminds you, what time is it?
You turn to your clock, and your eyes widen in shock. 11:38 a.m. You were supposed to be awake 4 hours ago.
"Oh, no!" You say in shock.
Shadow hears you and turns towards you. "What is it?"
"We were supposed to be up by 7:00." You begin to get up to get ready, but stop when a pain in your stomach stops you.
"You okay, Twi?" Shadow says. You are little surprised by what he calls you, but you don't say anything about it. Thunder was the only one who called you that.
"Yes. Just had a little too much. Heehee...." You say.
"Well, why don't we just wait to digest our food? We'll relax, do something to pass the time, and we'll leave by noon? Sound good?"
>'Alright, then.'
'No, it's okay. I think I can manage on a full stomach.'
'Who died and put you in charge?'

With your trusty kitchen knife, you quickly sprint towards the dead Mr. Cake, and bury the blade deep into his head. He growls for only a second, before falling to the ground. You quickly pull the blade out.
Mrs. Cake attempts to bite you, but you dodge her mouth, and with the knife, you uppercut the blade under her chin, into her head. Her body falls to the ground.
You look around, just in case there are any Walkers around.
Suddenly, you hear crying. A survivor.
You call out to the voice, and a gasp is heard.
"D-Don't hurt us, please!"
You know whoever is alive is not alone, but...that voice...it sounds...familiar.
>'Pinkie Pie?'
'Who's there? Show yourself.'

You decide to inspect the noise. If it is a Walker, you want to make sure to get rid of it so, in case a survivor does come to this town, they don't mistake them for a survivor.
Slowly, but carefully, you open the door leading to the basement. It's dark. So dark, you can barely see the stair steps. You look around the bakery for a flashlight. After a few moments, you find one. You take it in your hooves, and flip the switch to it. Surprisingly, it still works.
After turning it on, you head back to the basement door, and begin to make your slow descent downstairs. Once you make it down, you begin to look around for anything that could've caused the noise. It sounded like something had fallen from somewhere.
After a few moments, you see an object on the floor. It looks like a can of paint. The can is busted open, probably from the fall, and paint is beginning to leak onto the floor.
"But, how did it fall?" You ask yourself.
Suddenly, you hear growling behind you. In fear, you turn around. You see two Walkers beginning to amble towards you. But, they aren't just any Walkers.
You gasp. "Mr. and Mrs. Cake?"
Quickly, you take a look at them. Their manes are frazzled, their skin looks rotten. You assume they've been dead for quite some time.
They quickly begin to limp towards you.
