Chapters Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
Derpy stared at the dark cyan Pegasus before her for a few seconds. Then when the reality of the situation kicked in, Derpy gave the smallest simile in the world and ran toward the human, faster than Rainbow thought possible, the speed and power of the sprint knocked both Derpy Hooves and the human over, they rolled in the dirt for a second and Derpy hugged the human tight, not letting him move, Derpy gave him a long, deep kiss and giggled a little. She kissed him again and just lay on top of the human, only moving when he tried to get up.
"I missed you. Where have you been?" Derpy asked, angry and happy at the same time. The human stood staring silent for a second, Rainbow Dash flow toward the two and get closer, the human looked so deep in thought Rainbow didn't expect an answer. Derpy said his name and the human blinked once and shock his head quickly.
"I'm sorry, when I killed Discord some of his soul got into my head and has been affecting me. I had to stay away from ponies." The human explained, Rainbow couldn't figure it out, but the humans voice sounded, different?
"But why didn't contact anyone? Where have you been?" Rainbow Dash found herself asking.
"I couldn't contact anypony for fear of corrupting them too. I have been hiding in the Everfree." The human said, Rainbow was taken aback, she hadn't asked those questions aloud, had she? Derpy seemed fairly calm and neutral, a small simile appeared but that was it. Maybe the out burst was all she was letting out. Well until later maybe. Rainbow gave a little giggle at the thought.
"How do you know that the powers have passed?" Derpy asked. The human was silent again and gave a nod after a second.
"I don't, it was only chance you two Pegasi, Rainbow Dash and Derpy Hooves, found me." The human replied and gave a fake simile. Now Rainbow Dash was really confused, he never once spoke like that, or even called anyone by their race, maybe it was still the dark powers the human claimed to have.
"Well in any case the princess must be told that you are found, and alive!" Derpy shouted, happy again. The human flinched at that but gave no say on it. Rainbow looked quickly into the humans eyes, and for just a second. They went from his bright red, to a strange green colour.
"Yes, tell the princess. Now, are we to go back home. To Ponyville?" The human replied, similing that fake simile again. Rainbow decided to ignore what was happening and just be grateful the hero was home. She decided to leave Derpy alone with the human and go spread the word.
"I'll go tell everypony! Bye!" Rainbow said, half flying already. Derpy giggled and turned to the human, kissing him again. Rainbow flow off toward the town and kept pushing any bad thoughts away.
Rainbow Dash landed on Twilight's porch, with her sitting reading a letter from the princess.
"Can I help you?" Twilight asked, not looking up from the parchment.
"The, the human. He's alive." Rainbow Dash replied. Twilight looked up for a second at her friend.
"No Rainbow, his body is just missing. And we have more important matters at hand." Twilight said firmly, getting up and calling for Spike. Rainbow looked at the letter, two words came up "Trouble" and "Besieged". That couldn't be a good thing.
"No Twilight. The human is alive, he is with Derpy, but. He seems, strange." Rainbow Dash said.
"Okay. But Celestia has just messaged me. She is in trouble. Gather everypony up, even the human if he is really back. I need to talk to them." Twilight said. Rainbow paused for a second and then flow off.
When she was sure Twilight had gone, Rainbow came out of the cloud line and read the letter Celestia had sent. Rainbow read through the lines, quickly scanning, ignoring the unimportant stuff. Then the cyan Pegasus reached the last few lines and her eyes opened up. Rainbow unfolded her wings and shot off to find the others, almost sonic rainbooming as she went.
Derpy Hooves looked at the human, bright eyed. She loved him, and before the fall, he had admitted to loving her. Derpy and the human had talked for a second and was now back at Rainbow's house.
"So." Derpy began, kissing the human, sitting on the cloud sofa watching Derpy intently. She liked how he watched her as she flow slowly round him. "Where were we?" She hinted, kissing him again. He just stared.
"Ok, it was cute to start with, but now it's just weird." Derpy said, eyes dividing away into her derpy state. "Soooo. What's up?" She asked. The human stared for a second before an eye twitched.
"Nothing, some of Discord's power may be corrupting me still. What were you saying?" He re,plied. Derpy just groaned.
"Ah, nevermind." She grunted. She sat next to him and curled up, rubbing her head in his chest. The human was looking at her when she finally looked up, cuteness all over.
"What are you doing?" The human asked. Derpy was taken aback, shocked she jumped up.
"Don't you remember. I love you." Derpy said scared and hurt. The human held a blank face and nodded.
"Derpy. The truth is. I don't love you. Hell, I don't even like you. Your unattractive and in the way. You are annoying and, grey. No one will, EVER love you. I think I better wait for Rainbow alone. Goodbye Derpy Hooves." The human said. Completely calm. Derpy took a second to process what the human had just said and felt tears brewing. Two weeks, then, denial. Derpy's heart stopped, as a ton of bricks was just dropped onto it. She began to cry, the human just stared and held a lifeless expression. He didn't even care about what he had just done. Had he realized? Maybe it was the corruption.
"Do you really mean that? Or is it the evil?" Derpy asked, sobbing. The human looked Derpy straight in the eyes, his own flashed green for a second before turning normal again.
"There is no corruption. I lied. Now, get out." The human said. Derpy nodded, then began to walk out. But then stopped. She turned to the human.
"Two weeks I waited for you. Knowing somehow, sometime you would return to save me from being alone. Two weeks I waited for you. Barely sleeping or eating. I loved you for all that time. And then you have the nerve to break my heart a second time. Then you show no emotion toward me. You sick twisted bastard. And we called you a hero." With that, Derpy punched the human in the face and flow away, crying a waterfall.
Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
Gathering of the Elements
Rainbow Dash was flying home when Derpy shot out of the window and sped past Rainbow, the cyan Pegasus just heard the sounds of crying. Rainbow turned in the air, still flying toward the cloud fortress.
"Derpy!" Rainbow shouted, the grey mare didn't respond and Rainbow flow into the cloud at full speed, ready for the worst. There in the living room sat the human, completely fine and alive.
"Back?" He asked. Rainbow looked out the window then back to her dark cyan self. He looked outside for a second a gave that new, fake grin.
"What happened there?" Rainbow asked. The human thought about it for a second before shrugging it off and staring at Rainbow.
"Nothing important. What is it you have to tell from the unicorn?" The human asked. Staring blankly again.
"Eh? Oh Twilight. We all have to go over to hers, now." Rainbow replied. The human got up and stretched his wings.
"Okay then. I shall follow you." The human said. Looking to Rainbow, for, guidance? Rainbow decided to test her cruel theory.
"No, I think you should take me." Rainbow replied. Similing smugly. The human looked, worried for a second, before thinking again. Finally the human nodded and flapped his wings twice before taking off, floating in the air above the ground.
"So, who first?" The human asked. Doing a little loop in the air.
"You choose." Rainbow said. The man thought then nodded and flow out the window in a flash. Rainbow quickly followed and watched the human fly across the sky, almost scanning the land, after a while of floating in the air the human dashed toward where Fluttershy lived. Rainbow flow, having to be extra quick to keep up with the humans awesome speed. He had never flown this fast, except during the fall. The human and herself quickly found Fluttershy tending to some birds. The human landed next to the yellow mare, as did Rainbow. Fluttershy looked to the human and looked to Rainbow.
"Are, is he really back?" Fluttershy asked when Rainbow Dash and herself had gone inside, the human promising to gather the others.
"I really don't know Fluttershy. He's, different." Rainbow replied, almost as quietly as Fluttershy. The yellow Pegasus nodded.
"Maybe it is the, dark, energy he said he had been infected by?"
"He declined Derpy. I saw her fly out of the house in tears and the human just sat there. I know what he had done, anypony could have seen it. She waited two weeks for him, we all did." Rainbow said, bowing her head.
"What?" Fluttershy almost gasped.
"I believe it is the real human, but he's, he's just so different. I can't explain it." Rainbow trailed off. There was a knock at the door.
"Excuse me." Fluttershy pardoned, when she came back Rarity walked next to her.
"Hello Rainbow." Rarity said, quietly. Rainbow Dash looked at her friend and nodded.
"He, he is different." Rarity added, sitting on the carpet.
"How is he different for you?" Fluttershy asked. Looking out the window in case the human appeared.
"I can just tell, his eyes, they-" Rarity began.
"Turn green, I know." Rainbow interrupted. Rarity gave a shocked looked and nodded.
"What could it be?" The unicorn asked.
"He said something about dark magic and corruption that may still be infecting him." Rainbow said. The group gave nods, but all knew it their hearts it wasn't it.
Twilight Sparkle re-read the letter sent by princess Celestia. Three days, that was all they had. Twilight read the last line over and over; "You must assume the worse." What could the worst be? Twilight wondered alone, waiting for her friends to gather. Spike sat on the ledge outside. Finally Twilight decided to go check on the Elements once more. She trotted down the stairs to her basement and there, on pedestals, sat the seven gem necklaces of the Elements of Humanity. Twilight pumped her magical shape into the Elements, gaining access.
"The human can't be back, the Element of Sacrifice is dying, and the others are too. With this treat and the failure of the Elements. I don't know how we are going to pull through." Twilight said to herself. With her mana trail still open she saw the energy coming off each Element. All were throbbing, the main six throbbed their colours fairly fast, whilst Sacrifice just gave a dim bit of light, barely 'alive' at all. Twilight stared at the Element, hoping it would suddenly glow back into life. But nothing happened, and didn't for the ten minutes Twilight watched.
Finally everypony was there, each of the six, missing Twilight, sat around the table of Fluttershy's house, the human had sat back against the wall, completely silent and just staring ahead. Rainbow finished her drink and stood up.
"Okay everypony, Twilight has asked for us all to go to her tree library house to met her, she has received important news consulting Canterlot." Rainbow said, the moment she said Canterlot and Celestia together the human had leaned in to hear. Interesting. Rainbow thought. The group began to make there way to Twilight's home when suddenly the human excused himself for the toilet. Rainbow followed silently and saw a flash of green under the doorway, some muttered speech, then a second flash of dark cyan. As the door opened Rainbow rushed downstairs and waited for the "human".
The six ponies finally made there way to Twilight's home, the human up front speeding across the sky and looping round to wait for the others, whom were talking about him under their breathe.
"What if its Discord?" Applejack asked, staring up at the flying Pegasus.
"Why wait to attack us?" Rainbow replied. Also staring up. The group trotted along, waving to everypony who said hello and went about their daily business.
"Discord is pissed at Celestia, excuse me. Using human talk, Discord is annoyed at Celestia for allowing anypony to trick him into being freed, only to be launched of the highest mountain and apparently die. Discord's new body wants revenge on Celestia and all of us when we are together." Rarity said, Rainbow was shocked, among other things Rarity just swore.
"Maybe. Just stay on your guard. I don't think this is a reanimated version of Discord, but it sure as shit ain't the human." Great, now Rainbow Dash was cursing too. Where had that come from? The group neared Twilight's home and the human came in to land close to Rainbow. He hasn't said a single word since they left and didn't look about to.
The six reached the door and after an awkward stare and a silent nod. Twilight let everypony in, human first.
"Before we start, just one question.-" Twilight said, addressing the human using his pony name. "-How did dying feel?" Twilight asked. The human 'thought' about it for a second before clearing his throat.
"It's completely black, I felt nothing, my presence was around, but my body wasn't. I felt bliss begin to take me. For a while I was happy, then, the flash of light and I woke in Canterlot castle, frothing, corrupt, I had to run. My only choice, before I hurt anypony. I hid in the Everfree forest until Rainbow Dash found me." The human replied. But what about Derpy? She found him really.
"What of Derpy?" Twilight asked, for a second the human had a shocked, confused face, until he thought about it.
"I couldn't hurt her like that again, if I ever fell a second time, it would kill her." Rainbow began to listen now. It began to sound like the real human. But still, the signs.
"Okay then." Twilight replied and cleared her throat this time. "I have received word from princess Celestia finally. But it is not good news, an army of unknown origins has marched on Canterlot and are besieging the city. Celestia thinks she can hold them off, but isn't entirely sure, as far as anypony can tell, the force actually under numbers the defending force so Celestia thinks they can manage. However I have been ordered to gather my friends and any other pony who wants to fight and go up to Canterlot, if we do not get any word from the princesses in three days." Twilight said, everypony present nodded. "Okay, go find ponies to help." Twilight said and everypony left quietly. Rainbow Dash stayed, as did the human.
"Hey, Twilight, I may have read that letter and I know Twilight." Rainbow said, the truth was Celestia was heavily outnumbered and some attackers had already gotten into the city. Celestia wanted Twilight to gather a big of a force as possible and attack the enemy inside Canterlot, because Celestia knew in three days the city would be taken.
"Rainbow, I just hope this isn't the end." Twilight muttered. Rainbow looked to the still human, just staring, watching.
"No Twi, together, we can't be stopped. Equestria won't fall. Now excuse me. I got an army to gather." Rainbow said, leaving, closely followed by the man.
[AUTHORS NOTE-obviously it isn't going to be an army but I would like the names and descriptions of any OC's you want me to add in in this rag-tag team of fighters. Thanks]
Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
Day 1: Gathering of the arms
Rainbow Dash shot across the sky toward the nearest town with her bag hunched on her shoulders, like everypony else it had been her job to spread the word about Equestria's defense and the siege of Canterlot and put leaflets all around the area. Rainbow had dropped off at a few towns already and was now on her way to a small town just north of the Everfree forest.
"My wings." Rainbow groaned, she was worn out. The day had really only just begun and all this flying had emptied her strength. However she kept going. For Equestria. Rainbow decided to land and walk the rest of the way.
As she trotted down the road Rainbow spotted a dark blue Pegasus standing alone. Rainbow, without thought, went closer to the figure to have a closer look. Rainbow noticed a tent and camp had been set up near the pony, who had apparently not seen or heard Rainbow's presence.
"Hi!" Rainbow found herself shouting, she quickly closed her mouth and regretted it. Ponies on the road alone, this close to Everfree. The Pegasus turned. Rainbow gave a quiet gasp as she looked onto the pony before her. It was a Siren.
Twilight looked onto the ponies of Ponyville who had already signed up for the battle at Canterlot. Many new comers who had seen the leaflets in their own towns and had instantly came to Ponyville. Before Twilight Sparkle stood twelve ponies, most stallions with only a few mares. The first was a dark green unicorn with a shadow orb thing as a cutie mark.
"You are?" Twilight asked, the stallion spoke, looking directly ahead.
"Thrash Ort miss Sparkle. Veteran offensive unicorn mage specializing in Shadow magic." The pony replied with a slight accent.
"Okay Thrash, why is it you want to help?" Twilight asked.
"Canterlot is in danger, therefore so is my country. I figured using my magic could thing the enemy lines is all." Thrash replied. Twilight nodded.
"Your hired, come back here in three days." Twilight said, the unicorn nodded and after a short few seconds of his horn glowing a dark purple colour, the unicorn vanished, teleported.
Twilight moved to the second pony in line. A strange looking Pegasus with weird hair. A light yellow-peach colour as a body and orange hair.
"Redford. Fastest flyer in my town and honourable for the country." The Pegasus said. Twilight hired her and told the Pegasus the same as Thrash. Twilight continued up the line with the other ten. There were six Pegasi overall, three Earth ponies and three unicorns. The Pegasi squad was; Redford, the leader. A lime pony, Gazel, the second. A pink/purple pony named Clouds, the medic. A red pony called Scarr, the tank. A cyan pony named Flaze, the tactician and Yozor Hanald, the scientist. Each pony had carefully been given their roles in what they said they were good at and reasons for joining. The unicorn trio consisted of; Thrash, the leader, Shadow. Then a white pony with light grey hair named Des, specialized in Shield/defensive magic. Then thirdly, Poltrain Falab, a silver pony with black hair that used a Demonic magic to summon Everfree monsters that Poltrain could command and control over.
Finally in there Earth team was; Washington, a brown pony with straw hair. He could apparently kick the best and was overall winner at last years rodeo. Ilkar, a quiet gold pony who promised to save Equestria with every breathe he had. Juan Stant, a bright blue stallion with basic warrior training. Twilight was happy with the results of the army so far, just prayed that she would get more.
Applejack galloped out of the train and into the only military town in Equestria. Applejack ran straight through, only stopping when a guard hailed her or she reached a check-point. Applejack soon found herself at the main barracks and after another security check, was allowed in.
Inside the huge green dyed metal building stood a big stallion of a brown-green colour with an iron helm on. The horse, not really a pony, stood at a table overlooking a map of Equestria. The stallion looked up at Applejack for a second before looking back at his map. Applejack was about to speak when the horse took over.
"An Element of Humanity. What a pleasure. What brings you here. Not to sign up eh?" The horse asked. Applejack gave a mocking glare.
"No general. Just news and recruitment." AJ replied. The general was taken aback.
"Excuse me, this army is only for emergencies."
"Like the Nightmare moon incident, or Discord? This isn't an army, you have barely got a squad, there are all of thirty, forty ponies here?" AJ taunted. The general walked toward AJ, now looking at her.
"What is it you want Applejack?" He asked. AJ gave a simile.
"I want your army in Ponyville, today. Canterlot is under siege."
"No, the princess would have told us."
"Tell me general, when has she ever told you anything, also, since when did she dub you anything over a captaincy rank?" The horse was silent, then looked down in defeat, the horse slowly walked outside, where everypony looked to him.
"Pack up! We're going to war!" The general shouted and AJ gave a satisfactory nod.
Princess Celestia stood on her town looking at the enemy camp. She was surrounded by guards who refused to leave, there had been fighting all day, and was still going. Probably would go through the night. Celestia had sent the message to Twilight almost five hours ago. And regretted giving her three days to get ready. Celestia saw the enemy would break through in less than a day. The guard reserves had been posted at the secondary gates and inside the actual city. Not in the mist of the losing battle. Celestia began to pace the tower, the guards watching closely.
"Go. Go down and join your brothers-in-arms, bring Shining Armor in though." Celestia ordered, after a few hesitant pauses, the guards walked out.
Shortly after the white unicorn in his gold armour and carrying a crossbow saddle walked in.
"Princess." Shining Armor said. Bowing.
"Shining Armor, you are my closest bodyguard and captain of the royal guard. This attack has drained your strength I can see. But may I ask one more favour?" Celestia asked. Shining Armor nodded.
"Of course your highness, just one thing is required for me. Just a little thing princess." Shining Armor replied. The princess smiled a little.
" Anything captain. What is it?" Celestia asked. Shining Armor's eyes lite up, ablaze.
"Die." He said and pulled the trigger of the crossbow with his magic. The bolt flow, straight into the immortal princess. She fell, crying out. Two dark coated ponies came in, bloodied swords between their teeth. Celestia knew no guards would come and began to whimper in pain. Blood flow freely from the wound.
"Why?" Celestia muttered.
"Power, wealth, fame, immortality." Shining Armor replied, then the princess passed out.
Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
A day passed and Twilight received no word from Celestia, so everypony went off again to get more ponies. The Celestian army, or what AJ had called them, had turned up just outside Ponyville as had a lot of other ponies. Rainbow Dash came back that night saying she had found a Siren Pegasus. An immortal pony race said to of been killed hundreds of years ago in the tribal wars between each pony clan. But when the dark figure walked into the library, Twilight saw it was no lie.
The dark Pegasus walked in slowly with Rainbow Dash and held her head low. At least Twilight presumed it was a she. The Pegasus had elegant feathers, straighter than Rainbow's and much longer. The Sirens ears were spiked and pricked upward. The legs were longer and thinner and the dark, small eyes gave a sense of fear and loneliness.
"Hello. I'm Twilight Sparkle. What's your name?" Twilight asked. Rainbow shock her head and Twilight blinked.
"She doesn't speak. I found her and she ran, after I followed for a few moments she gave up and began to cry. I asked what was wrong, who she was, anything, but she gave no answer. I asked if she wanted help and she just nodded and cried more. So I brought her here." Rainbow said. Looking to the Siren. The Pegasus looked fine, except a small scar across her face and a small limp on an awkward hind leg.
"Do you want me to help your leg?" Twilight asked. The Siren nodded and lifted a good leg up, at first Twilight didn't know what to expect but the Pegasus Siren just pointed to herself.
"Dari." The Siren said in a soft, Fluttershy like voice.
"Is that your name?" Twilight asked, the Siren nodded.
Applejack walked through the next town, it was a small one with little population, but rumours were told of a band of warriors living here named the Bloody Skulls. Applejack had to recruit them. Applejack wondered through the town looking for anypony that looked war torn or mercenary like. Nothing popped up.
Applejack was so busy looking for her war horses she walked right into another pony. The two toppled over, the over had clearly been running, causing both AJ and the stranger to fall down into the dirt. After a second of disorientation Applejack stood up.
"Oh, gee. I'm awfully sorry there." Applejack apologized. The pony was youngish looking, he was brown coated and had a short, yet powerful looking horn, if AJ had listened probably to Twilight's explanation of magical conducting horns, the pony had grey hair and had a red cross cutie mark on his flank.
"No need to apologize stranger, I wasn't looking where I was going." The strange unicorn replied, dusting himself down.
"Names Applejack. Yours partner?" Applejack asked. Watching the pony intently.
"My name is Zero. I live here in the great town of Stance." The pony replied. Smiling slightly.
"Ok. I'm looking for soldiers for a defense of Canterlot. Its under siege and Celestia herself has asked we, the Elements of Humanity, gather an army to march on the attacking enemy. Do you think you could join partner?" Applejack asked. Zero paused for a second.
"I'd have to ask Lex but I'm sure we can come. Wait for us here. I'll go get the team." Zero said. Applejack laughed as the grey stallion ran off.
"I think I just found the Bloody Skulls newest member. Come on Lex, time to met an old friend." Applejack muttered to herself.
Rainbow Dash, the human, and the Siren now flow together. Heading to the closest stronghold of the Sky dwellers. Twilight said their ranks would be great for the battle. Rainbow Dash wanted to go to Sky Hold once more, deep in the mountains of east Equestria the city floated. Rainbow wanted to see her mother again. That would be nice. The trio flow across the sky heading closer to the target.
As they reached the mountains, Dari stopped and floated where she flow. Rainbow noticed this and stopped. The Siren looked frightened, petrified more like. Rainbow was so stupid. It had been the Sky Dwellers who attacked the Sirens in the first place.
"Murders." Dari said, sort of shouting.
"Dari, I- I completely forgot." Rainbow muttered, Dari go closer.
"That those Pegasi attacked my people and killed them all!" Dari shouted.
"Look, I didn't mean to bring you here Dari. I am so sorry." Rainbow Dash apologized. Dari opened her mouth in shock.
"Dari. Your the last of your kind, I forgot about the myths and the war. I am so sorry-" Rainbow felt something sharp stab into her. She turned, felling suddenly tiered, flying in full iron war horse armour, and each holding spear saddles. Rainbow Dash met the Sky Dwellers, then the world went black. Her last image, Dari, herself and the human all falling.
Twilight Sparkle. Found herself looking upon a tall, grey coated, red and blue maned alicorn stallion. He was the only one to gallop into Ponyville that day but Twilight was glad they had an alicorn. His magic and flight would come in handy.
"So, alicorn, what is your name?" Twilight asked, smiling.
"Names Heart Breaker." He replied, Twilight caught a glimpse of the alicorn's cutie mark and giggled.
"No need to ask why you wish to join." She said. Heart Breaker looked ay his flank and blushed a little.
"So long as Equestria is safe." Was all he replied.
"So, Heart Breaker, what skills can you bring in to the fight?" Twilight asked. The alicorn paused and looked down.
"Apart from being shy, I can kick." He said quietly. Twilight was confused.
"What about magic? Flight?" She asked.
"I can't fly, and I have no magic." Heart Breaker said quickly.
'Great' Twilight thought. 'But as long as he helps'.
"Welcome aboard commander." Twilight said, giving the alicorn the highest rank available. The alicorn shone with pride and nodded.
"Come back tomorrow for briefing." Twilight said and the alicorn walked away to wherever he came from.
Lex Dresdal. Veteran of countless battles and leader of the most known mercenaries in Equestria, sat at the end of the bar table with his squad beside him. Applejack sat across the table and gulped down some alcohol. Lex's red colour and grey hair stood out amongst his team. The tank, Stone Mountain stood next to his leader in the dim light of the bar with a cold stare he gives people. The Earth pony was completely black and held no emotion in his battle worn eyes.
"So. AJ, or is your name been changed again? How long has it been." Lex asked. Quiet and controlled.
"Its Applejack still. And I believe it's been about ten years by my counting." Applejack replied, slowly.
"What did I say if I ever saw you again." Lex said, not really a question. Applejack held an expressionless look. Leaned across the table and looked the red stallion right in the eyes.
"Canterlot is under siege. I need your help. There may be rewards, from Celestia herself." AJ taunted. Lex simlied slightly and leaned to AJ.
"I'm listening." He replied. Applejack sat back and told the story of this unknown enemy attacking Canterlot and the growing army brought up in it's defence. Afterwards Lex was silent. A crack parted in his mouth of a part simile.
"I'll join this army of yours. As will the boys. But remember your debts first." Lex warned. "When is the assault?" He asked.
"Tomorrow at midday, Ponyville." AJ replied, she stood up to leave.
"See you there. AJ." Lex said and Applejack left.
Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
Twilight was scared. It was the day of the dead line and no word had come from Celestia, or Canterlot what so ever. To top all this Rainbow Dash, Dari and the human were all missing and had been all day yesterday and all night. Twilight ran around her tree house as Spike stood by and watched, along with Heart Breaker, who had gotten to Ponyville early. There was almost one hundred ponies outside of all different races and cultures. But they couldn't leave without Rainbow, Dari, or the human. There were too many unknowns. Heart Breaker grabbed Twilight with a hoof and she realised she'd been running in circles.
"They will be okay, more ponies are coming. I'm sure they are safe." The alicorn said. Twilight nodded sadly and just decided to wait.
Suddenly Pinkie ran in, shocked. Twilight ran outside with the pink pony.
"What?" Twilight asked, then saw. Around Canterlot were hundreds of, black dots shooting down onto the city. The shield had fallen, thus the city was breached. There was a small trail of smoke coming from the main tower and Twilight panicked even more.
"Come on Rainbow, where are you?" Twilight asked.
Rainbow Dash woke to screams, she opened her eyes to a loud yell and saw she, along with Dari and the human were in a cell together. But the guards were nowhere to be seen. The human looked scared, as did Dari.
"What's up?" Rainbow asked in a groan of a voice.
"The Sky Dwellers captured us and put us in a cell, but the city is under attack by some unknown enemy, apparently." The human replied. Dari was staring coldly at Rainbow Dash and didn't move, the cyan Pegasus just decided to ignore it, for now. There was another scream of pain, closer.
"How do we get out?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"We can't. No keys, no way out, no guards to attack, nothing. We are generally trapped." The man asked quickly. Dari gulped a little and the human looked at her, as did Rainbow Dash.
"My, my erm, teleport powers could get us out, but not very far." Dari muttered. The human beamed with joy.
"Anywhere out of this damn cell is good enogh." He said. Dari nodded and began to glow slightly. Rainbow didn't dare move or breathe. Just watched the purple glow over the Pegasus. After a moment Rainbow didn't think anything was going to happen, then her world shifted and she stood outside the cell they were just in. As did the human and the Siren.
"Okay, lets go." The human said, the trio ran out of the room and outside. Into hell.
Rainbow Dash caught her first glimpse of the enemy that moment, they were black and green in colour, all of them, harboured bug like wings and misshapen bone horns on them, they had big green eyes and spiked fang teeth. Dari gasped as one of the enemy cut down a Sky Dweller just with the sharpness of its horn.
"What the hell." The human said. Not very conveniently.
"They, they are, Changelings." Dari murmured, then two of the enemy looked to the group and advanced.
"Fly." Rainbow Dash said and spread her wings, as did the human and Dari. Just as the two 'Changelings' got to the group they shot up and flow away from the burning city.
"We have to go back, we have to save them." Dari muttered, they had killed her parents, friends and everypony she knew hundreds of years ago, but Dari still wanted to help. It was the Siren way.
"Dari, don't get yourself killed for them, we need you in the real fight." the man barked, Dari so wanted to fly, but knew he was right.
"Come on. Back to Ponyville." Rainbow muttered, the trio flow away, letting the screams of dying leech themselves into each ponies head. 'If this is the damage a few could do. Think what Canterlot is already like.' Rainbow Dash thought. The human looked to Rainbow like he knew what she was thinking. The trio flow back as the screams of dying still echoed through their minds.
Applejack walked with the Bloody Skulls as they made their way back to Ponyville, Stone Mountain and a pony named Cypher stood next to AJ. Lex and the others of the team were behind. Lex was probably deliberately trailing, Applejack knew why, but honestly, didn't care. The group trotted in almost silence, until Cypher spoke up.
"So. What Intel is known on this unknown force of destruction?" Cypher asked.
"What?" Applejack asked, confused.
"He wants to know what is known about the enemy." Stone Mountain explained in a deep, slow voice. Applejack giggled a bit, being a country folk she didn't know a lot of things, but still got through her, exciting life.
"Absolutly nothing. As far as I know." AJ replied. "You still the brains Brains?" She then asked.
"You know my name is Cypher, and yes. I am the most delectable one here." He replied proudly. Stone Mountain gave the smaller pony a glare but otherwise ignored the remark.
"Okay then, we should be nearing Ponyville, but may need to move out again as soon as we arrive." Applejack stated, feeling bad for Zero, who, as the rookie and medic, had to carry the most stuff, his own medical supplies and the spare weaponry the Bloody Skulls weren't already carrying or holding. It wasn't that the pony couldn't handle it, just it was a heavy load for anyponies standards. Applejack smiled slightly. She'd gone soft.
Twilight Sparkle stood on the Mayors stand looking onto the faces of all the ponies that signed up to go to war. Rainbow Dash, the human, Dari and Applejack were still missing, but every pony else was here. Twilight had given a count. One hundred and ninety eight ponies stood in this spot, all armed and ready. All risking their lives for Equestria. Suddenly Twilight spotted three dark figures in the sky, as they got closer, Twilight saw they were Rainbow and the other two. But with no Sky Dwellers. Applejack, along with some other ponies also showed up. Now every pony was here. Twilight nodded to the ponies as they arrived and prepared to speak.
Suddenly there was a noise. Then another. Then another, coming from the Everfree forest. Getting closer, the small army shifted and prepared arms.
Then, a tree fell down.
"Sorry." Said a voice. Twilight looked to the gap in the forest to see a knife, yes a knife. Ridding on the back of a serpent. It had been the knife who spoke. The thing had arms and legs, somehow. But was an impossible magic.
"Sorry we're late. No news comes to the Everfree." The knife said.
"Let me introduce ourselves. I am Steven, and this is Nick. We are here to join the army to save Canterlot, and Equestria." The serpent said. Twilight recognized the knife straight away and just nodded. Then began.
"Ponies, friends, sea serpents. Three days ago I received a letter from princess Celestia that a siege had been started on Canterlot by an unknown enemy. Myself and my friends were given three days to gather enogh ponies to attack the enemy and break the siege so the land is saved from whoever these ponies are. With your help in the next battle, and without any falter, I am sure we can win the battle for Equestria. Now. March north. Follow the train line." Twilight ordered and every pony moved out. The mane six, the human, Dari and Heart Breaker had stayed. The group gathered.
"This is for Equestria ponies. Lets do this." Rainbow said and everypony nodded, the group moved out. Then, somewhere in the distance, a sonic rainboom was heard.
Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
I woke. In complete shock. I had died. I felt my self die. I was in bliss after saving my friends. My friends? Where were they. Where was I? I had to get to them. But how? I looked around to see I was in the middle of a field. But not the one I had crashed into. What was going on? I heard voices suddenly and froze. Two Changelings were flying down near me. I shut my eyes and listened.
"Word came in from Barco." The first said.
"Oh yeah?" The second spoke. The two had relatively the same voices, but I could tell the difference. A little.
"Yeah. They still believe he is this guy." I felt a kick of a hoof. I hurt all over, I felt cuts and burns on me, probably from where I had fallen. My leg hurt again like it did whilst fighting the undead in the forest.
"Wow. They are so stupid these ponies." The two let out hissing noises, presumably their laugh.
"Anyway, we gotta go north. To Canterlot. The siege won't break without us." The first said and laughed again, as soon as I figured they were gone, I jumped up.
"I will save you." I vowed and flow north as fast as my wings could take me. I did about three sonic rainbooms during the trip.
Twilight Sparkle and the rest of the small army walked toward Canterlot, some Pegasi were flying, but most just walked. The human stopped in his tracks suddenly.
"What's wrong?" Rainbow asked. The army kept moving, but the mane six, Heart Breaker and Dari also stopped, looking onto the human.
"Everything. However, not for me." The human said, eyes flashing green. Twilight stepped back. Dari began to glow with energy.
"What?" Rainbow asked. Then the human began to change. His feathery wings dropped, replaced by strange bug like wings. A mishapen horn grew from his head, his eyes changed green and his body went dark. He became a bug like alicorn thing.
"Changeling!" Dari shouted and shot a spell at the imposter.
"Yes. I am a Changeling. Your 'human' is dead and buried. Well, dumped more like." The Changeling said and blocked the spell, suddenly shooting a spell of his own at Twilight. She dived out of the way and the spell exploded on the ground in a ball of green fire. When the smoke cleared, the Changeling was gone.
The group gathered round.
"So, the human really is. Dead." Pinkie Pie asked.
"Yes. And Derpy, she's heartbroken." Rainbow Dash added. "Has anypony seen Derpy at all since the fake pushed her away?" She asked, worried. Twilight blinked once.
"Go find her. Tell her he is fake." Twilight said. "It will repair her heart, but then she will be crushed when she figures what it means. Its harsh but right. Go Rainbow. We will be fine." Twilight ordered and Rainbow Dash nodded. She flapped her wings once, then shot into the air.
Nick the knife, ridding Steven were leading the march, Steven being the biggest, he was covering more ground than the battle ready ponies. A grey pony, named Lex was trotting besides Steven.
"So, we have a magic knife and a dramatic serpent leading the charge eh?" Lex asked.
"Not worried or confused at us?" Nick replied. Lex paused for a second, still getting used to the idea a knife could talk. Then shock his head.
"I've seen worse." He muttered. Nick gave a small squeaky laugh and Steven smiled as well.
"How long have you been in the Everfree Steven." Lex found himself asking. Steven then had a turn at pausing.
"As long as I can remember. Survived on the fish and my hair and moustache." The serpent replied.
"Ever done combat before, like actual fighting?" Lex questioned, worried about the strength of a civi. Serpent maybe, but still a civi. As was the knife. Sort of.
"Fought against a pack of Timberwolves before. Remember Nick?" Steven replied, looking to the knife.
"Yeah, we won." The knife replied.
'These aren't wooden wolves we will be fighting though. This is some unknown enemy.' Lex thought then slowed for his team to catch up.
"What was that?" Cypher asked when they did.
"Questioning the civis. Cypher." Lex replied. The group laughed a little and trotted on. Holding their crossbow and spear saddles ready for war.
Derpy Hooves sat alone. Again. After the human had left her all she did was sit. She had barely eaten and was slowly rotting away. She hadn't slept and was ready for the worst. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. At first she was excited, then disappointed at what she thought would happen. It wouldn't be him. Hell, who would it be. They had all forgotten about Derpy. Every last one of them. No pony had came to see Derpy since she left. But that was good. Derpy wanted to be by herself. Alone. No pony to bother in her life. Derpy never wanted to move again, after the human had declared love, then two weeks of waiting later, shattered it in an instance. Derpy didn't move. The knock happened again. Derpy thought about calling out, to ask who it was. But couldn't care anymore. She was all alone. Alone in her thoughts and alone in her home and life. No pony cared. She sat alone for a few more mintues, until that is, the door knocked again. Derpy finally decided to just answer the door and tell whoever it was to leave her alone.
Derpy got up, walked toward the door, which was still being banged on.
Derpy reached it and opened it.
Insted of shouting, or crying or telling the person to leave her alone.
Derpy punched the figure in the face.
Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
I got up, my nose definitely bleeding. I had knocked on Derpy's door for a good ten minutes before she answers and then attacks me.
"Hi." I said. Holding my noise with a hoof. I am so tired, the flight wore me out and the pain in wounds was overpowering. But I didn't care, whatever the Changeling had done, wherever my friends were. I would find them. Equestria was my home now, the mane six my friends, Derpy, my love.
"You. What is it? You bastard!" Derpy screamed, using a swear I normally said when I had explained Earth to everypony that one time.
"D. That wasn't me. Whatever I did. It wasn't me. It was a fake." I explained, she screamed.
"What does that mean?" She shouted.
"I have been dead, I only woke up ten minutes ago. Something brought me back. Im here D. For you." I said.
"You still love me?" She asked, more quiet.
"Yes. I will forever love you. Your my Derpy." I said. Derpy smiled then punched me again. I fell down this time. Onto my wing which I crushed onto and roared in pain.
"Why should I believe you? If you were saying that you said you hated me then say it wasn't actually you, then tell me, who was it? Because it sure as buck sounded and looked like you." Derpy screamed again.
"Because Derpy. He is telling the truth. The human who denied you is a Changeling. This is the real human." A familiar voice sounded. Rainbow Dash.
I stood up again, Derpy running in for a hug. She apparently knew what the Changelings were and had understood straight away, she ran in and hugged me. If her punched didn't kill me, the strength in the hug would.
"I am so sorry." She cried into me. My nose was still bleeding, but I didn't care, I had my D back.
"Its okay." I said, then looked to Dash. "Where are the others?" I asked her.
"Marching to Canterlot. The Changelings have attacked the city and Celestia asked us for aid. We need to go." Rainbow Dash replied, I nodded and Derpy looked to me.
"I-" I started, she kissed me. Long and hard, when she broke off she had more tears in her eyes.
"Just fucking come back this time." She said, more of an order. I nodded and Rainbow Dash and myself flow.
"So, welcome back to the living. What brings you here?" Rainbow Dash asked whilst we were in flight. My wings ached and my body hurt, but I had to help me friends.
"I really don't know. I just, woke up." I admitted.
"Like in the old castle?" She asked.
"No. I was being healed then. This time. I don't know. I just woke up. I hurt all over though." I replied, shaking my head. My wings vibrated with pain as we flow and I felt myself getting weaker.
"How bad is it?" She asked.
"Not too bad. I can still fight." I lied. We continued to fly toward Canterlot and on the rail track I spotted the back of the small army my friends had gathered.
"There they are!" Rainbow cried pointed. I looked to see a serpent and seven other ponies. Five I knew, the dark one and the Alicorn I didn't. We flow down toward the group. I wasn't sure weather to be grateful for stopping flying and rest my bad wings, or sorrowful because now I had to limp around on bad legs. I wanted, no, I had to fight. To save my friends and the world I live on. We could find out why in deed I am back later, but for now. I had to survive. Equestria had to survive.
We landed and Twilight ran to me. Horn glowing.
"Whoo pony. It's real me!" I cried. She did some detection spell and nodded. Tears were welling up on her face.
"Your back." She muttered and hugged me. Each of the mane six greeted me and I replied in turn. Finally the alicorn, the dark Pegasus and a strange looking grey pony came to me.
"My name is Heart Breaker sir. Here to fight for my home. And my princess." The alicorn said. I looked to his flank and nodded.
"Nice to meet you too." I said. Nodding, next up was the dark Pegasus.
"Dari. Last of the Siren's." She said quietly.
"Only human on Equestria. I guess we're even." I replied and the Siren gave a sarcastic laugh.
"Names Lex Dresdal. Leader of the band called Bloody Skulls. At your service." The pony said giving a bow.
"The only need I have for you is to take out as many Changelings as possible." I said. Lex nodded. We we're nearly there.
Finally, Canterlot, just down the slope was the vast outstretch of land toward the gate of the city. Green smoke rose from inside the city as well as the occasional explosion. I looked over the hill to look onto the Changeling army. There were barely any. I presumed they were already inside, which wasn't good.
"What's the plan?" Applejack asked. I looked, none of us were really ready for any battle, let alone a siege, which is probably what this is going to end up as.
"We prepare. Armour up, arm up." I said, and we did.
Some ponies brought were good smiths and had brought some battle saddles and armour for us all. Convenient. I put the gold and steel armour on myself, looking into a mirror the smith had placed down. The helmet was a bit tight, so the pony hammered into the metal, widening it. I looked like a war horse from some fantasy or lord of the rings film. I was completely covered in the strong metal and despite it being heavy, would probably save my life. I had a spear saddle as well, ready to be placed onto my back, which I got help to do. Very soon I looked fully prepared and ready for battle, and when we regrouped, everypony else did too.
"So. What's the plan?" Twilight asked in thin armour so she could move around easier and cast spells, a real mage outfit. I paused, looked around, no pony else had any idea so I took the leadership role.
"We charge at the back and fight our way in. We can't do stealth, it just wouldn't work and there is no way to bypass the enemy. We have to go straight in. Maybe find a central location in the city to fight from." I said. Each pony thought about it and agreed. We would attack a the next hour. I decided for some food quickly and dismissed myself to eat.
"This will be a long day." I said to myself. It would be very long.
Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
I stood atop the hill looking down on the Changeling army. Many were already in the city from what we saw, but there were still a lot out of the city. I wore iron war horse armour and wielded a spear saddle. I had some sort of experience from games, but no real horse combat, like the Bloody Skulls had. But I knew how to kick and none of the Changelings were incredibly armed, just focusing on magic and brute strength in numbers, well, its what they did on the show. Back on Earth. I didn't call Earth home anymore. It was Equestria. I had love here, friends, hell, I had enemies. Here I had lived and survived unlike Earth where I dreamt impossible dreams and lived just to stay around a longer. But Equestria. I had lived, and died. Now I was facing death again to save it from a new threat.
"So. What's the plan?" Twilight asked. I turned around to see the faces of my friends and allies. The mane six; Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy(Who was incredibly scared of what was about to occur and had taken the role of field medic and a sort of spy), Rarity and Rainbow Dash. They had been with me all the time I was here. Home. Then there were the newer faces, but no less admirable. Dari, the pony equivalent of an Elven mage from fantasy and stuff. Lez Dresdal, the veteran soldier who I admired for his bravery. Heart Breaker, the great alicorn who would clearly die for his country, and his princess. Steven and Nick were also looking to me. Steven, the serpent that with his size, would, should, come in handy in the coming battle. Nick, Nick is a magical knife. What else is there to say except (yes I have too) he is 20% cooler. A few other captains were also present, ponies I didn't know but probably soon would.
"So.." Twilight began.
"The plan." I said. "Okay. I can do this." I didn't mean to say that aloud. "The plan is this: The mane six, Bloody Skulls and a few others, Dari, Steven, Nick and Heart Breaker, whilst the army is attacking the Changelings outside the gate, we go into the city and try to gather the people or prisoners the Changelings may have and rally them inside the city. Taking it from the inside. The outside troops will obviously take this as any siege. Don't trust anypony. Get earth or Pegasi ponies to go with a unicorn and have said unicorn draw an 'x' or something to show they are on your side. The unicorns are to test any and every pony. Got that?" I said. Almost proud of myself.
"Sir. I think the Bloody Skulls could be more use in the main fight, rather than a rally mission." Lex replied. I nodded.
"I was hoping you would say that. Its why your team are the overall commanders of the battlefield, being the most experienced and I'm placing you in the vanguard." I replied, Lex seemed please by this and smiled. Everypony got ready for the charge. I stood at the front, I hadn't even realised until I turned to see everypony look to me behind me. Even Lex nodded, ready. I lifted the spear up and looked to Rainbow Dash and the others. The faces of those who may not go home.
"Ponies. I cannot promise you victory here today, nor survival. Nor can I promise you any sort of gain over the enemy if this fight is to fail. But ponies, what I can promise you is this. You joined this small, yet great army to save Equestria, your home, my home. I can promise that these Changelings, victory or defeat, they shall know our names, and what we stand up here for. I can promise you this. We will not faulted. We will scar the enemy enogh to fear any other ponies who stand up to fight them. Now are you ready for the charge?" I shouted out, crap, I know, but the best I could do. The ponies, despite my terrible speech roared out their readiness and I lowered the spear, turned around and galloped forward. Followed by the hooves of the other ponies.
As I galloped down the hill toward the now also charging Changeling army I saw my life go before my eyes. But not the Terran life, the one I had had on Equestria. How I had helped Applejack at the market and paid for Fluttershy's shopping. How it had taken Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Derpy Hooves to teach me to fly. How Derpy had followed me around and my first sonic rainboom into the human undead, which were, from what Twilight told me, just a leak from the dimension portal that is now closed. I wasn't sure what that meant. And I wasn't sure how I felt about what I thought it meant. I continued to run. Only hearing my own hooves on the ground and my heart beat. Considering, it was slow, controlled. I heard nothing but this before finally, my life came to a picture of Derpy. Then the two armies clashed.
I didn't even realize that I had charged straight into a Changeling until my spear jerked downwards and the wood snapped and I flipped over onto the dirt. I jumped up quickly, hoping nopony saw. I looked to the dead enemy and my already broken spear.
"Fucking perfect." I said. I could do hand-to-hand I imagined. I had done so with the undead. But they hadn't had magic, and neither did I. After a few more moments I decided to find the others, we had a long way to go before the gates.
I found the others almost straight away, even in the dense fighting and killing, I spotted Rainbow Dash flying up every now and again to avoid an attack. I galloped over, only slowly if a Changeling got in my way and I would kick it out of the way. I flapped my wings to fly and took off. Gliding over the battlefield and landing next to Twilight, who was shooting a daze spell at the the enemy.
"We need to get to the gates!" She shouted. I looked around, each pony of the mane six were occupied with the fight.
"I know. Just keep pushing forward!" I replied, punching a Changeling in the face.
"Right. Come on girls!" Twilight shouted and shot another spell at the enemy, which exploded on impact and scattered some of the bug like ponies.
"Where is your spear?" Rainbow asked, confused.
"It broke during the charge, I tripped on a body and the shaft snapped." I replied. Rainbow gave a laugh and unhooked her own.
"Put that on. You need it more than me." She said. I thought to argue but knew there was no use. I nodded my thanks and slide the new weapon onto my back, with some difficulty.
Luna sat over the hurt body of her elder, a Changeling had come in and shot her almost three days ago, and Celestia hadn't awoken. She was alive, just trapped deep in her mind. Luna, along with the remaining guard were trapped in the tallest tower of the Canterlot castle, the library. There were Changelings all over the city, many civilians and guards had changed in the enemy during the second day of the siege and begun over running the city on the inside. It was grim. Luna hadn't left her sisters side, despite Shining Armor's pleads. Princess Luna hadn't slept since she had found a Changeling flying away, with Celestia dying, bolt in her side.
There were about forty or so guards in the tower alone, many, many more in the prisons. But most survivors had been executed. Each day the Changeling commander would come and pick a few ponies they were going to either eat. Or do things to. Once they took a guard away, Luna saw his mutilated corpse outside on the roof of a building, the enemy had experimented on him, tried to 'change' him into, something, something else, and had failed. Then thrown him from the lab they were in onto the roof. Luna felt tears forming, then, an explosion rang out. Luna swore she heard a Changeling shout of "The gates are breached!" Luna saw the light at the end of the tunnel finally.
Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
Toward the gates of the Changeling city
I ran forward, stabbing at any and every Changeling I saw. All of us; Dari, Heart Breaker, Twilight, Dashie, Pinkie, Rarity, AJ and Fluttershy, who was doing surprisingly well, all ran toward the gates of Canterlot. I saw they were firmly closed and Twilight apparently also noticed. She ordered a halt and we made formation in a circle, fighting back the swarms of the enemy. I looked to Twilight before she opened her mouth to speak.
"How do we get them open?" She asked. I really hated the idea of what came into my head, but I'd always wanted to do it to something.
"Blow them up." I said. Twilight gave me a strange glare then gave up an argument and nodded. "Let's just get there first eh?" I added and we rushed forward again, toward the walls, ducking on coming spells and bombarding Changelings.
I stabbed the spear into a Changeling and ducked under a spell. We were so near the gates, I could see them from here.
"Come on!" I shouted. Then, we charged forward once again, clearing the enemy that stood in our path.
Lex Dresdal and the rest of the Bloody Skulls were in the centre of the fight, encircling themselves and fighting back the Changeling army with spears and swords and spells.
Stone Mountain had lost his weapon and was just kicking and punching the Changelings. Due to his awesome strength, speed and skill he was quickly actually killing them, or badly knocking the enemy out. The unicorns of the group were launching volley upon volley of spells, breaking the ranks of the enemy and scattering them with huge fire bomb spells. Cypher suddenly shouted out in pain and Lex looked from the bloodied figure on the end of his spear toward his friend. The pony had a small, yet still clearly painful arrow stabbed into his shoulder and was holding it to stop blood loss. Zero was already there, looking at the injury and healing Cypher as best he could with the gear the pony had brought. Lex called for Razor to come and take his place. Naturally the pony hadn't been shocked by the size of the army at all and just blurred through each movement, leaving a dozen or so Changelings dead besides him. He was carrying one of Cypher's inventions of two long knives attached to a saddle and some wiring attached to his head and legs. Where in if Razor moved the knives would jab forward too. So he could quickly swoop into charges and rush through enemies without a delay. With the mouth piece it allowed him to pull it back to stop the knives cutting into friendly troops if he needed to talk to them or they got in the way.
Lex went over to see his friend to look at the damage. Zero had given the pony a stick to bite on and was attempting to pull the arrow out.
"How is he?" Lex asked. Looking at the brave genius, who gave a pissed off and in pain look in return.
"Cypher. He'll be fine. It was a small arrow, not to deep and didn't hit anything important as far as I can tell, I'd say it was just one, lone stray arrow. Nothing aimed or anything. As soon as I can get the arrow out. I can treat him, just cover me will ya?" Zero replied. Lex nodded and jumped back into the battle.
Nick and Steven were slowly pushing forward. The Changelings were falling by the dozen, despite Steven not meaning to.
Due to the tightly packed groups the enemy had put themselves into meant that nearly every step the Serpent took meant he would either trip of kick a Changeling or two. Nick, still ridding on his back was having a great time, watching his friend walk through the Changeling horde like they were just mud he was pushing away.
"This is going to ruin my hair. Look! Its already out of place and the spells these Changelings are positively covering me in green, green yuck." Steven complained. Nick just laughed even harder.
"You know, your the weapon here, jump down and help will you?" Steven said. Laughing a little himself.
"How dare you. I am a royal knife once used for cutting food by Celestia herself. I am no ordinary knife to be ruined or thrown away like in the past." Nick joked and began to climb down to fight. As much as Nick wanted to help, he didn't like the idea of covering himself in blood. But Nick jumped to the floor anyway and began stabbing at Changeling's legs.
A group of crossbow bearing Changelings had rushed out of the gate and began to fire upon the battlefield, being the closest to the walls, we were the ones to get most arrows heading our way. One arrow, a small one, shot over my head and landed somewhere far behind me. I stabbed at another Changeling and called the others. Some of the Changelings had begun changing into actual ponies, but Twilight shot spells at them. She had hit me twice alone out of worry and given me a huge headache for a few seconds. I ordered for us all to take out the archers before they hit one of us, but I was way to late. I turned to look to the group behind me, only to see Dari, with an arrow lodged into her body. I had been an awkward shot, but the arrow was clearly in deep, and despite Dari's healing spells and holding the wound, blood kept pouring. We all saw she was a goner. The wound was too deep and too awkward to get the arrow out anyway.
"Leave me." Dari groaned. "Get the gates open." She pleaded, then her eyes shot open. "No. Cover me." She finally said and began to fly. She screamed out in pain but didn't fail. Everypony stared at her, not knowing what she was doing. Arrows wizzed past her and she kept flying for the gates. I realised what she was lanning when she began to glow brightly.
"Cover her Twilight!" I shouted. We only had one chance at this. Dari knew that too. The last Siren. Twilight began to shot spells toward the archer Changelings in hope of drawing their fire away from the flying Pegasus Elf. I was biting my lips in fear. Dari was going to make it.
She finally reached the top of the gates, when an arrow struck her in the forehead. I cried out. Dari couldn't have died, she was going to open the gates! But then, something unexpected happened. Dari survived the arrow and began glowing even more. Any spells the Changelings were shooting at us suddenly jerked back toward Dari. Her eyes were flaming white fire and her whole body was consumed by the purple glow. I stared for a few moments, then there was a huge bang of an explosion and the world turned white and quiet.
Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
Dari did it. She had absorbed as much magic as she could and then released it all, causing herself, the gates and a hell of a lot of Changelings to explode. I was completely blind for a few moments, only seeing the bright light, but when my vision did return, I was on the floor, my leg wound was open and bleeding again and Rainbow Dash was shouting at me. I looked to the sky to see thousands of Changelings flying toward the battle. I had no idea where they came from, but either way, our small army would be over run very quickly.
"We gotta go!" I suddenly heard Rainbow Dash shout, I felt hooves around me as Heart Breaker picked me up and began dragging me. I was in pure shock.
"We have to go back." Fluttershy was saying.
"No Fluttershy, if we free the guards inside we may still have a chance at winning this!" Twilight shouted, I hated the idea of leaving all those ponies to their soon on coming deaths, but Twilight was right. I began to run to the burning walls and we raced through the gap Dari had left us. I slowed at the rubble for a second. I found her bloodied, burned body among the rubble. There was no time for a proper burial.
"Rest Dari. You fought well." I said, I thought and had to push aside the thought of Twilight and Rarity trying to heal the Siren, but I knew she was gone and the two unicorns magic would be needed more after the fight.
We ran through beginnings of the burned, abandoned city, fighting back the few Changelings that remained guard. They clearly knew that they would win with the odds being in their favour. Badly.
We nearly made it to the courtyard of the castle, where we presumed the guards would be kept, when a tall, darker looking Changeling came down. Twilight's horn began glowing straight away and I looked to the enemy as he changed. Dark cyan skin, a scar on his front leg, red eyes glowing in the sunlight. This was the Changeling that had pretended to be me.
"I'll deal with him. You ponies go. Free the guards." I said and got my spear ready. The enemy prepared to charge. Despite my poor skills in combat, I could win it. Maybe. I ran forward, so did the fake me.
"Twilight shot him!" I heard Rainbow Dash say, but it was too late, we were on each other.
The enemy broke my spear, doing some move spinning over my head and smashing a hoof down on the shaft of the spear. I doubled over to land a punch that he was already coming in for, I ducked down quickly and jumped onto him, causing us both to topple onto the ground. We rolled around on the floor for a second when I saw a blast of purple light hit the ground next to us. I caught a glance at Twilight as the Changeling and myself fought on the scarred earth.
"Which one do I shot?" Twilight shouted. Both the Changeling and myself replied with "him". Rainbow and the rest just watched in horror as the two of us battled.
"For Celestia's sake Twilight shot the Changeling! I died for you ponies twice, don't you forget that, if you shot me, I can go down, again knowing that your all safe. But until then, I will defend you all with all the damn Sacrifice in me!" I shouted and kicked the Changeling who was pushed back. I saw Rainbow Dash gasp, maybe from the shock that maybe I may have just taken a hit. Twilight's horn began glowing again, I smiled for a moment before she shot. The magic shot out of her horn and into its target.
The Bloody Skulls continued to fight, Cypher, with a bandage on and the arrow removed now stood in the fight once again. The group had heard the explosion and it was Razor to point out the gates, along with a lot of the wall, had gone.
"Come on!" Cypher shouted, stabbing a Changeling. "We can take the city, we just have to charge!" He added. Lez thought about it for a few moments and nodded, he prepared himself for a run, as did the rest of the team.
"Lets do this! Skulls! Skulls with me!" Lez shouted and ran forwards, stabbing at any Changeling in range. The group was quickly stopped however when Zero cried out, everypony looked to see another horde of the enemy swarming the sky, shooting magic and fire down upon the field.
"Holy shit! There are too many! We are outnumbered by loads now!" Zero shouted as the Changelings began flying down to attack. Stone Mountain also stood still.
"Its been an honour my friends." He said. Lex Dresdal couldn't believe his ears.
"Oi." He said. "Enough of this crap, get back to fighting." He said.
"But cap'n." Zero groaned.
"If you give up they will kill us anyway, we aren't called the fucking Bloody Skulls for no damn reason. We will go down fighting a dozen of those green bastards! We ain't fucking dead yet! Now, keep pushing!" Lez shouted, after a moment of pause the Bloody Skulls got back to the fight.
Steven the serpent was bleeding in more places than he cared to want, Changeling dead or passed out lay all around him and Nick, they had managed to push the enemy back a little and cleared some path for ponies coming late who only just saw the flyers or heard about the battle and wanted to join. None of the Dwarven race of the Sky Dwellers had come, but after the apparent attack at their city, from what Rainbow Dash and Dari had said, they probably wouldn't come, either rebuilding or gathering the leaders for some political debate, as their laws go. The Sky Dwellers, being a more, loner race of ponies didn't directly follow Celestia's rules and law, but made their own and expanded outside and in, Equestria in clans or cities without trade from other pony realms. Steven may be an Everfree creature but the old books in the ruined castle had given him quite a bit of knowledge. Nick on the other hand, or other knife, no pun intended, had been magically brought into the world by Twilight's, possibly hormonally driven magic.
"Changlings!" Nick suddenly shouted, looking to the sky. Steven also looked and saw the hundreds more Changelings flying in to join the fight. Meaning the pony army was now vastly outnumbered, out magiced and out, out anything. Unless the ponies release the guards inside Canterlot, the attackers had no chance. Even with the guards, Steven wasn't sure if he would ever see his river again.
"Nick, just want to tell you, in case, in case we don't make it-" Steven began, only to be put off by the blood soaked knife.
"Steven, we will make it." Nick said.
"But if we don't-"
"Steven, I promise you, my word as a knife, that we will get out of this alive and in one piece." Nick said, truthfully.
"Still, just want you to know, your the best magical, talking, impossible knife I know, your my best friend Nick." Steven replied after a short pause.
"Wow Steven, going all emotional. Your my best friend too, for a serpent I mean." Nick replied and continued to fight, as did Steven, who very much hoped Nick was right about surviving this battle.
Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
The Changeling copy of myself now lay burned, bloody and definitely dead. Green puss leaked out of the enemy as it lay still, still smoking from the spell Twilight had shot. I laughed a little and looked to my friends. The dead thing suddenly changed back into the Changeling form and Twilight shot it again. After the white flash of the explosion passed I looked at my friends.
"So." I said. "How did you know it was me?" I asked. Rainbow Dash nodded, indicating her head toward my back leg. I arched my head round to see a little blue shield with a bronze coloured sword inside it. It was my cutie mark! The thing was exactly like a small tattoo, except I hadn't felt a thing when it appeared, not being told I probably never would have seen it.
"Ah. Well good shot." I said Twilight blushed a little and another explosion rung out. We snapped back to reality and rushed through the city.
Heart Breaker looked to the human and felt a wave of guilt fly over him. A wave of guilt washed over him when he looked at anypony. His life in Equestria was a lie, almost as big as the humans. But Heart Breaker had been able to keep the secret from everypony. So far anyway. The portal never closed between Equestria and Earth, just shrunk enough so there wasn't impending doom. Discord never closed the portal, he died. Heart Breaker knew, as did most ponies here maybe, that the portal could never truly die, after everything it will stay open. It was only natural. Maybe one day soon Heart Breaker will tell the human his origins. But not today. Today he had a princess to save.
We ran through the city, meeting less and less Changeling resistance, they had all clearly gone outside onto the field and were now killing innocent ponies who signed up for victory and now faced death. I could see the tower where the prisoners were probably kept and could see some Changelings flying around on patrol. Twilight and Rarity shot spells at them and many fell dead, others rushed down to attack which we quickly dispatched.
We continued on toward the tower which we finally reached, in through the door and toward the stairwell.
"We are so close." I heard myself saying, just a few more stairs. But then, as we turned the corner of a floor, three Changeling archers stood loaded. My heart stopped for a moment before the three fired on the closest target. Rarity, I rushed forward as the enemy pulled the trigger and felt three sharp jabs push into my body.
Luna awoke, she had suddenly felt a burst of magic come from Celestia's body. The Princess hadn't moved in over twenty four hours. But then suddenly the elder sister had released some magic whilst Luna was napping. The younger sister hadn't slept much and was so badly worn out lately, with Celestia in a deep comma like state it was Luna who had to raise and lower the sun and the moon. Luna couldn't last much longer and hated how her sister was in her state, Luna couldn't do anything about it. She had trained in healing magic, just her own Interdimensional and other more expiermental, scienctific magic. Celestia suddenly muttered something.
"Luna." She groaned.
"I'm here sister." Luna said quickly.
"It hurts." Celestia said, weak and tired.
"I know sister, but Twilight is on her way. She can heal you." Luna replied. Looking at the bloodied bandage on her elders side.
"The Human. He- He isn't what we thought." Celestia muttered.
"I know Celestia, he still has some wild magic in him."
"No Luna. Its gone. I didn't mean.-" Celestia passed out and went back into her sleep. Somewhere downstairs a pony cried out in pain.
The Changelings continued to swarm, they were everywhere. Hundreds upon thousands were arriving every minute and the attackers were being pushed back.
"We have to go! Fall back damn it! There everywhere!" Lez Dresdal shouted, some ponies were already running. Pegasi were taking flight and many unicorns just teleported out of there. The battle was lost and Equestria would fall. Everypony saw that. The Bloody Skulls began to run back. Giving covering fire to any ponies still leaving.
"Cover the retreat! Cypher shouted, shooting his multi crossbow saddle toward the enemy.
"Keep firing! Retreat!" Stone Mountain shouted as the galloped away. Lez knew there were no where near enough ponies to fight this size of an army. They needed more.
"We need to regroup!" Lez shouted. "Gather more ponies!" He added. Razor shook his head.
"There isn't enough time. Even if we get the army it would be too late." Razor said.
"We have to try." Zero muttered, after some pause. Razor, and the others nodded.
"Fall back! Get to Ponyville!" Lez ordered and the ponies galloped away from the hail of Changeling magic.
Steven was badly hurt, he was covered in cuts and arrows and bleeding badly. Nick was now riding the serpent as the two ran from the defeat. Changelings were everywhere and arrows shot toward the pair from all directions.
"Did we do well?" Steven asked.
"What do you mean?" Nick replied.
"Did we do anything to help the survival of Equestria?" Steven asked.
"I would say yes,"
"But?"
"I really don't know. There are thousands, maybe even tens of thousands, they must of gotten every Changeling from all the world and put them under one banner. There are so many."
"We need more ponies."
"We need more anything Steven."
"I know." Steven replied and the two were silent. Running from the fire and death, the Changeling horde began to roar in victory.
I nearly fainted again as I stumbled up the stairwell.
"Let me heal you." Twilight insisted.
"No. Your- your need all your strength in the next fight." I muttered, biting back the pain. The three bolts were still stabbed into me and would be hell to pull out. I had died, twice, already here so now just didn't care, well in a way I cared. Just didn't want to fucking die before I saved Equestria. I smiled a short moment at that and bit down again as a wave of bloodied pain shot through me. We were so close to the door now and when we turned the last flight of stairs to look onto a locked door finally, I felt bliss run through me. Rarity shot the door out. Inside was the image of death. Guards stood or sat everywhere, unarmed and unarmoured. Luna sat over a body near the window and we all gasped when we saw who it was. Celestia was hurt, bad by the looks.
"Twilight, Rarity. Heal Celestia." I said, everypony in the room turned and looked at us. I nearly fell down again but kept myself upright. The two unicorns quickly rushed over to their princess. Heart Breaker walked in and saw Celestia laying there and ran over to her body with a yell. I saw how hard the alicorn was trying to use magic as a faint glitter of magic appeared on his horn, then, nothing. Twilight said something to Luna and started a spell up, the princess nodded and the three ponies horns all glow.
Luna stopped after a second and called over Shining Armor.
"Go with them and free the other prisoneers. Save the city, we will handle it here." Luna said, the captain nodded and we all rushed downstairs again followed by the other guards.
We gathered up as many guards and ponies willing to fight as we could and got ready for the final battle. I was beginning to fell weak and cold. I was becoming tired, my eyes suddenly heavy and my legs failing beneath me. There were no where near enough ponies as I had originally hoped for, but anything against the enemy would do. We made it to the gates, well the remains, without any fighting and saw why, the battle was over, thousands upon thousands of Changelings held the battlefield and were going through the dead. I looked to the now ready troops.
"We can do this. Remember, its for your homes! Your families! And above all-" With that, I fainted.
Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
I woke on some sort of bed as far as I could tell. I looked toward my body to notice the arrows had gone and bandages were replacing them. I yelped in pain as one of the bandages became bloody all of a sudden. I looked around to see lots of other ponies on white makeshift beds, unicorns wondered around using the occasional healing spell. The whole area was just outside the destroyed gates of Canterlot. I suddenly realised that there was no noise of a battle. I tried to tilt my head toward where the battle had been but noticed i was strapped down. I couldn't remember what had happened, just saving the guards then going to where the gates had been to see thousands of Changelings. It was clear that we had won, but I wondered what the cost had been. I looked toward a white unicorn and she ran over.
"Ah, your awake." She said, almost shocked and happy at the same time.
"I guess, what happened?" I asked. The unicorn gleamed up a little and smiled.
"We won. You and your friends saved the guards and charged the enemy, then a massive army from Cloudsdale, Ponyville and around those areas appeared and swarmed in from behind. The Changelings were defeated. You saved Equestria." The medic replied.
"No, I mean how did I get here?" I asked, relived we had in deed won.
"Oh, you passed out from blood loss, you would have died if Rainbow Dash didn't donate some of her blood for you. She saved your life." The medic replied, asked if there was anything else.
"Yes, can you bring my friends over. If non are too hurt." I asked, she nodded and left.
A few minutes later Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, Heart Breaker and a very tired Rainbow Dash came over, the cyan Pegasus had a bandage on her foreleg from the donation I guessed. Heart Breaker had a bad limp but was otherwise fine, the rest had the occasional cut or bandage, but thankfully nothing serious.
"Your ok!" Rainbow Dash shouted with glee, hugging me, only dropping when I groaned in pain. "Sorry." She muttered.
"We won." I muttered.
"Yes, we did. But not without cost." Twilight replied. Here we go.
"How many?" I asked, saddened.
"Nearly all of the first force and a lot of the second." Twilight replied.
"I see. What was this about the huge army from Cloudsdale and that?" I asked.
"That would be us." I heard Lez say from behind me.
"We retreated, with everypony else, but none of us could live with leaving, even if it was forced." Zero said.
"So we ran to Ponyville, Cloudsdale and anywhere else we could get to in the amount of time." Stone Mountain added.
"Gathered an army." Cypher said.
"And came back to help your sorry asses." Lez finished. I tilted my head in thanks and Lez replied with the same gesture, then the group walked away.
"Where will you go?" I asked before Lez left.
"Home. I need a drink." He replied and walked off.
"Dari is dead though." Heart Breaker said. I saw that coming but still felt bad.
"The last Siren, died to save Equestria." I muttered. Everypony nodded and we continued to talk.
After a few minutes I looked to Heart Breaker.
"How is she?" I asked. He knew who I meant and gave a smile.
"Twilight and Rarity saved her life. Along with Luna when Twilight taught her the spell. Celestia is fine, in her tower talking to her guards. And her sister." He replied. I nodded my thanks and looked to Rainbow Dash.
"I should be dead. Again." I said to her. She looked to her hooves.
"You saved my life Rainbow Dash." I added.
"I know." She said, I knew from the show, ha, the show, it seemed so long ago. I knew from the Rainbow Dash who I knew, that she would normally gloat at this point, but she didn't. Maybe the battle had affected her, or something else. I didn't know.
"Thank you. I am in your debt."
"You don't owe me anything. I just happened to have the same blood type as you." She replied, more stern than before.
"Still. It was you who saved me." I said. Rainbow Dash just blushed.
"My little ponies, you did it." I heard a voice say, Heart Breaker instantly bowed and then was followed by everypony in the makeshift hospital.
"My princess." I said. Celestia nodded toward me. "I'd bow, but I am strapped down." I added.
"You do not have to bow to me. You, along with your friends saved Equestria. Twilight, stand up, and the rest of you." Celestia ordered, the mane six and Heart Breaker stood. Then, the princess buckled her legs and looked down. She was bowing to us.
After a moment of this she stood.
"We still have a problem." Celestia said.
"What's wrong?" I asked carefully.
"The portal between worlds is still open. Not big enough to be a danger, but could easily be tampered with." Celestia replied. I instantly saw where this was going.
"I am keeping the portal open aren't I?" I asked. Celestia just nodded, out of the corner of my eye I saw Heart Breaker look to the floor.
"But he defeated Discord. He killed him!" Pinkie Pie shouted, clearly upset about where this was going. It was for the best, I knew.
"He killed Discord, yes, but that didn't close the portal, only weakened it enough to save both worlds. I'm sorry, but you have to leave." Celestia said.
"Wait!" Twilight shouted. Everypony looked to her. "He is the link as a human." She said.
"Go on." Celestia muttered.
"Only his memories are keeping the portal open. His memories of Earth." Twilight replied. Celestia thought for a moment. Then, looked to me.
"Its your choice." She said. It was here, or Earth. I thought for a moment, thinking of my life on Earth and then here, the place I openly called home. Derpy was here, so were my friends, I had fought and died on Equestria. This was my home, it always would be.
"Take my memories." I said. Closing my eyes. Prepared.
"Ok. I have no idea how much remembrance you will have from your time here, I will try to give you as much memory of Equestria as I can, but I cannot promise anything." Celestia said, horn glowing. This was it, this was where I currently am, strapped on the bed, awaiting my new life of no memory of Earth. Here goes, to Equestria. I felt Celestia's magic touch me and I passed out.
The End.
Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
Okay. Here goes.
This is once again another thank you to all those who took part in the reading of any of my fics. Although this one is a VERY special thank you to those that without them, over half my fics and ideas wouldn't exist.
First of Sithjjf. For being my idea giver and for helping me along just generally on this site. For talking to me on Skype and putting up with my bullshit from time to time.
Secondly to Maverik, for asking ME to pre read his fic, My Little Dashie 2. For also being there when I felt like these fics of mime were shab and crap.
Thirdly to ty500600, for asking ME to pre read (and edit) some of Contact Apple Harvest. Also for joining the abridged team and staying even though I haven't had time to do the script.
Fourthly to Skylight, OctoBen, David and the rest of you Bronies over Skype. None of you will probably ever see this, but I am thanking you for being there when I gave up on myself a little. Thank you.
Fithly, To Bronydragon. Giving the help I needed for some fics, joining the abridged team and keeping FotW alive. You saved my carrier in the fim fiction more than once. You are a good man. And im lucky to have you as a friend.
Sixthly, BronyGC, for giving me use of the Bloody Skulls for the final battle at Canterlot. For shifting the storyline of FotW3 with your great characters and for your support.
Finally, to everyone I have forgotten to mention, your all the people who keep these fics alive, your the people who keep bronydom alive. You are the people, who love and tolerate, the people who are the best of humanity. Hoping you all do it.
Stay Brony.

Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
"Two weeks and nothing." Rainbow Dash complained. It had been two weeks ago that day since Derpy Hooves and herself had "seen" the human, well a dark cyan, cutie markless Pegasus standing in the dark. Two weeks since the humans body went missing and two weeks since any word from princess Celestia had been sent. It was raining outside and Derpy had come over to Rainbow's cloud house and was staring outside, she hadn't lost hope, not for a second, each day believing that human saviour would return. Rainbow knew they hadn't seen him, and that he wasn't alive. Twilight had said so herself.
"Look Rainbow, that couldn't have been the man, I can feel the Elements weakening everyday, well, Sacrifice anyway." The unicorn had said. Apparently the magical energies of the humans Element has risen ten fold when he had shot Discord and himself of the Tip of the World. But now, now Sacrifice, and the Elements are failing. I don't think Harmony or Equestria, or both could survive any sort of threat."
"Is there no word on finding his body?" Rainbow had asked.
"I haven't heard from Celestia, or Canterlot at all. I'm worried." Twilight replied, Spike had gotten ill very suddenly and had no way to send letters to Canterlot so Twilight had just given up and was in the dark.
"Couldn't you just teleport the letters yourself?" Rainbow Dash asked. Twilight shock her head sadly.
"Its dragon magic. Using a teleport of that length would probably kill me. Spike is the only one with strong enogh magic. I searched every book shelf and nothing! Some old books here and there, one even gave mention of a certain Cloudsdale rainbow factory and the killing of innocent-"
"Stick to the point Twilight. How are we finding out about Canterlot?" Rainbow interupted quickly.
"The only way is to get there by foot and find out. Oversize, we're stuck."
Rainbow laughed, that conversation had been over a week ago. Now rain was falling and Derpy still stood at the window. Rainbow Dash flow over to the grey Pegasus and put a hoof on her shoulder. There were tears in her eyes again and just as she was about to give up, there was a flash of lightning.
"Rainbow!" Derpy shouted, similing, wait, Derpy was happy? Rainbow Dash ran over and Derpy flapped her wings.
"I saw him! Down there! I saw him!" Derpy shouted. Sadly, Rainbow doubted it but would let Derpy have this moment of happiness, even if it meant more heart break. The pair flow out of the cloud home and out into the rain. It was pitch black outside and Rainbows mane got soaked instantly. The two flow to where Derpy thought she saw the human, they called his name into the darkness. Nothing.
The two called out for at least an hour, then Rainbow started to shiver and shake, rubbing her hooves together to try to keep warm. Derpy was also shivering and cold, but still called out, ocasionally walking around to try to find any sign of life.
"Come on D, lets get you inside." Rainbow said suddenly, Derpy's ears deflated and her Derped eyes got worse. She nodded slowly and the two flow back up inside the cloud, not knowing they were being watched by a figure in the tree line.
The next day the two flow down from the cloud, the rain had cleared some time during the night, Derpy had stayed round again, sleeping in the humans old room, but Rainbow didn't mind. Derpy needed somepony to talk to. The ground was covered in mud and puddles lay everywhere, some trees had been struck by lightning and fallen down burnt. Rainbow flow above whilst Derpy looked around, Rainbow wasn't sure what to expect to find but it was worth looking, even if there was no chance of-
"Hood prints!" Derpy shouted out. Rainbow slowly flow over as Derpy showed a track in the ground of pony hoof prints. The track lead away from the tiny hill bump into the tree line of a little park. Derpy stared in wonder, but the prints could be any pony's.
"Rainbow, place your hoof on that." Derpy ordered suddenly. Rainbow gave a blank stare at the Pegasus for an explanation.
"Celestia made the human, practically you right?" Derpy asked. Rainbow nodded, still confused.
"Well that means your hoof will be the same size as his and no other pony's. So, put your hoof inside this one." Derpy ordered again and Rainbow sort of understood. She put a hoof in, it fit the shape. Derpy nodded and looked to see which way the trail went.
"Derpy. It could still be any pony's, don't keep following ghosts." Rainbow said, not meaning to say it allowed. A tear rolled down Derpy's check and she nodded, but continued down the track after the hoof prints. Rainbow sighed and followed. Ready for another onslaught of tears. Rainbow, despite everything, admitted to missing the human. Not openly, but she missed him. Rainbow laughed, she had cried with Derpy for hours the first day. Everypony had. The alien hero had fallen, shot miles from his own rainboom. Rainbow had to admit, the human was pretty awesome, giving off a rainboom like that. Rainbow realised Derpy was really far ahead so the cyan Pegasus flow to catch up.
The two wondered after the trail until they reached the edge of the Everfree forest. Darkness shadowed the area of dense, dark, damp trees . Rainbow hated the idea of the Everfree and was about to suggest going home when she realised Derpy was already inside. Still following. Rainbow questioed everything going on but decided to keep them personal, for Derpy's sake.
"Why would you go into the forest?" Rainbow asked no pony. Then stepped in to catch up to Derpy, again.
"Hey Rainbow Dash. Do you think he will be okay in here?" Derpy asked, not one of the first questions Rainbow thought of but this was the madly in love Derpy Hooves.
"He single handedly killed a god, fell thousands of feet in a matter of seconds and if this is him, survived. I'm sure he will be fine." Rainbow replied, fake similing to brighten Derpy's fears. They continued on after the hoof prints.
After another hour or so of walking the hoof prints became more fresh, like the human, if it was the human, had stopped to let the two catch up. Rainbow didn't like that idea, but kept walking, keeping Derpy safe from any harm. The sun was getting in through some of the trees but the place looked as depressing as ever. They kept walking, Rainbow looking for any dangerous, or non dangerous movement in the tree line. Rainbow had no idea which way was home anymore and would need to rely on wing power for the return trip.
Suddenly, the tracks lead to a bush, they are very fresh. Derpy giggles and pushes the bush apart, there, standing blood and wet, without a cutie mark and a make shift cast around his dark cyan wing. Stood the human.
Fall of Two Worlds: Changing Status
There you have it. Fall of Two Worlds is over. Again.
Thanks to my few readers and special thanks go to BronyGC, Sithjjf and the rest. Thank you all for your OC's and helpful support.
I guess I will go on with this, but at a later date. I have catching up to do with the remake of AotP, the completion of RBD: FoaN and anything else I have started.
This was a tough one to do. Honestly I hadn't planned any of it. The story would have changed completely without Heart Breaker, The Bloody Skulls and Nick the knife. Sorry for not bringing in the whole group of the Bloody Skulls, I'm not the best with names.
Yeah, short notes this time but there it is. Thanks for reading thus far and l hoped you enjoyed it.
Bronydragon, you thought l had forgotten you? Well you are the main thanks going out there, without you this, or any other along this series would of been made. Without you, the human would be dead and buried, FotW3 wouldn't of existed and l would probably of given up all hope on any fics other than Rainbow Dash: Fall of a Nation. So thank you so much.
Another thanks to everypony else and lastly.
